- 0:01Speaker 1: Jerry, Katie and Josh makes one hundred. I do want
- 0:04Speaker 1: to let you know that today is National Milk Chocolate Day,
- 0:08Speaker 1: not to be confused with National Chocolate Milk Day, which
- 0:11Speaker 1: is on September twenty seventh, but it's National Milk Chocolate
- 0:15Speaker 1: Day today.
- 0:15Speaker 2: You like milk chocolate? I do. Also, I'm starting.
- 0:19Speaker 3: To get uh, I like dark chocolate. No, dark chocolate's
- 0:24Speaker 3: tending to be my favorite lately, and I always grew
- 0:27Speaker 3: up loving milk chocolate.
- 0:29Speaker 4: Go for the dark, Josh, there's a turning point and
- 0:32Speaker 4: everybody's lives.
- 0:33Speaker 2: You watch birds and you like dark dark chocolate.
- 0:36Speaker 4: Yeah, well the flavors.
- 0:38Speaker 3: Just like the well yeah, and especially like because the
- 0:41Speaker 3: milk chocolate is so much sugar, a lot of sugar,
- 0:44Speaker 3: Like when you try and stay away from sugar, when
- 0:46Speaker 3: you have sugar.
- 0:47Speaker 4: It's a turning point. Well, it's just you. You grow
- 0:52Speaker 4: up and you mature.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Do you mature into a higher quality then running around
- 1:01Speaker 1: with your Cadbury Easter Bunny?
- 1:02Speaker 4: You know you're like, I'll take the dog chocolate.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Well, I can see that you just like chocolate in general.
- 1:09Speaker 4: What you had never mind, eggs are so okay. So
- 1:14Speaker 4: there's a new studio too. Finding that men.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Uh, if you're out there doing your getting your lift
- 1:20Speaker 1: on today, bro there, you can lift heavier and longer
- 1:24Speaker 1: if you are sniffing dark chocolate in between your sets.
- 1:30Speaker 4: It will give you a boost.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Guys who sniffed dark chocolate in between their reps completed
- 1:37Speaker 1: about eighteen more reps than they did when just smelling
- 1:40Speaker 1: like plain water, so they were able to get Ooh,
- 1:43Speaker 1: they're bulkne by smelling chocolate, which is weird to me
- 1:47Speaker 1: that you'd be standing in the gym trying to work
- 1:50Speaker 1: out and you got a chocolate bar next to you
- 1:52Speaker 1: and you're huffing it in between sets.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Oh yeah, it's totally weird, Like that's not the way
- 1:56Speaker 3: I thought you were going to go with that story.
- 1:58Speaker 1: And now you're smelling it and the chocolate's like getting
- 2:00Speaker 1: all meltsey on your fingers, and then you got brown
- 2:03Speaker 1: all over your fingers and you're grabbing the freeways.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Get the freeways, yeah, and then you drop them because
- 2:08Speaker 3: all the chocolate on your head.
- 2:10Speaker 1: You probably got a white towel, and then your brown
- 2:12Speaker 1: fingers are all over the white towel and people are
- 2:14Speaker 1: looking at you like this guy might have a problem.
- 2:17Speaker 2: How are you gonna pick up any chicks, Homi.
- 2:19Speaker 4: I swear it chocolate. I promise you it's just chocolate.
- 2:26Speaker 2: But I'm doing more reds than ever.
- 2:29Speaker 4: Everything is so brown. But I promise you it's just chocolate.
- 2:33Speaker 4: You're like licking. I swear to you. I haven't been
- 2:38Speaker 4: eating lettuce. I promise. Let's rap about our children really quick.
- 2:43Speaker 1: I do have a quick story about my son who
- 2:46Speaker 1: went out with a buddy last night.
- 2:47Speaker 4: They disappeared on their bikes. I don't even know where
- 2:50Speaker 4: they were.
- 2:50Speaker 1: But about an hour later, I got a FaceTime thing
- 2:55Speaker 1: pop up on my phone, you know, a call, FaceTime call.
- 2:57Speaker 4: I was like, hey, where are you?
- 2:58Speaker 1: And he's like, well, we're done at so and so's house.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Little We'll call him Eddie. We're at Eddie's house and
- 3:06Speaker 1: Eddie is known for collecting things around the neighborhood. He'll
- 3:10Speaker 1: get into dumpsters and grab stuff out. Okay, he'll come
- 3:13Speaker 1: to my house and if I've got stuff out by
- 3:15Speaker 1: the trash, he takes it back home. So Eddie noticed
- 3:19Speaker 1: that his neighbor down the street had about fifteen air
- 3:23Speaker 1: mattresses out on the curb that said free.
- 3:27Speaker 4: So there was like, I know right, o Hee was
- 3:30Speaker 4: a camp they used to camp and stuff.
- 3:32Speaker 1: So there was at that point like five boys or
- 3:35Speaker 1: something at the house.
- 3:36Speaker 4: So they all went and.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Took the free air mattresses blew them up, and then
- 3:41Speaker 1: poor Eddie's family had about fifteen air mattresses laying all
- 3:44Speaker 1: around their front lawn. And then they found another house
- 3:48Speaker 1: with like a coffee table that was free, so they
- 3:51Speaker 1: took the coffee table and took the legs off of it,
- 3:54Speaker 1: and so they just had the flat top there of
- 3:56Speaker 1: the coffee table, which they proceeded to put on like
- 4:00Speaker 1: re skateboards. And then they took one of the giant
- 4:03Speaker 1: air mattresses and bungie that under the skateboards and the
- 4:06Speaker 1: coffee table, and they were pushing each other around the
- 4:09Speaker 1: neighborhood on it.
- 4:10Speaker 4: Okay, that's brilliant, He's like, dad, check this outle what
- 4:13Speaker 4: we're doing.
- 4:14Speaker 1: That's just that a guy like it was like a
- 4:17Speaker 1: king size air mattress and they're just getting there pushing
- 4:20Speaker 1: it down the street.
- 4:21Speaker 4: And I was so happy about it.
- 4:24Speaker 2: They're playing outside.
- 4:27Speaker 4: I got off the phone and I looked at Nicole.
- 4:29Speaker 4: I was like, this is what life is supposed to
- 4:31Speaker 4: be like. As a young boy. I was I am
- 4:33Speaker 4: so happy about this right now.
- 4:35Speaker 1: That they're out jacking around, causing trouble, picking up free
- 4:39Speaker 1: things and pushing each other around on skateboards and air mattresses.
- 4:43Speaker 3: Right now, it's funny the things that make us proud
- 4:45Speaker 3: as parents, isn't it.
- 4:47Speaker 1: I was like, this is old school, like nineties fun here.
- 4:51Speaker 4: There's not a tablet in sight.
- 4:53Speaker 2: And youtivity just everywhere. It makes me proud too. It's
- 4:57Speaker 2: not even my kid.
- 4:59Speaker 4: It was so crazy.
- 5:00Speaker 1: And then they like built forts and stuff with the
- 5:02Speaker 1: other air mattresses and they were throwing each other and stuff.
- 5:05Speaker 4: I was like, this is awesome them.
- 5:06Speaker 1: I just feel bad for Eddie's parents. I've seen pictures
- 5:11Speaker 1: of their garage and there's it's just it's just trash
- 5:14Speaker 1: and junk that this kid collects.
- 5:15Speaker 3: And they're probably thinking the same thing though. You know what,
- 5:18Speaker 3: Eddie's outside a lot. Eddie used his imagination.
- 5:21Speaker 2: He may be a horder as he gets older, but
- 5:23Speaker 2: it's fine.
- 5:24Speaker 1: There was one night I wandered out into the garage
- 5:26Speaker 1: because the camera went off in the garage and him
- 5:28Speaker 1: and Eddie were out there, and the tailgate was down
- 5:30Speaker 1: on my truck and I was.
- 5:31Speaker 4: Like, what are they doing to my truck? Oh?
- 5:33Speaker 1: And I went out there and they had found like
- 5:35Speaker 1: a bunch of old clocks and various electronics and stuff
- 5:38Speaker 1: out of dumpsters and they were taking them apart to
- 5:40Speaker 1: see how they worked on the inside and trying to rebuild.
- 5:42Speaker 4: Them and do other things. I was like, okay, that's
- 5:44Speaker 4: just don't burn the house down. That's so early two
- 5:46Speaker 4: thousands fun it is. I love that really good.
- 5:50Speaker 3: And it's so funny. My kidd was also making me
- 5:53Speaker 3: proud in a different way. But so her birthday's coming
- 5:55Speaker 3: up on Monday, right, yeah, and she's in her you know,
- 5:57Speaker 3: young twenties. So at that point you go out party, right,
- 6:00Speaker 3: that's what you do at their stage. But this new generation,
- 6:04Speaker 3: they're not really doing that. They're not partying like we did.
- 6:07Speaker 3: They're not going out and wilding out with their friends.
- 6:09Speaker 4: I just saw a static.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Yeah, the alcohol industry is down like eight hundred billion
- 6:14Speaker 1: dollars because kids aren't drinking and having fun anymore.
- 6:16Speaker 3: They're not making those dumb decisions that we made in
- 6:19Speaker 3: our young twenties. And in fact, this blew my mind.
- 6:21Speaker 3: You know what kind of parties always wants to have
- 6:23Speaker 3: for this next one in her young twenties.
- 6:26Speaker 2: What is it a crochet party?
- 6:28Speaker 1: Oh lord, no, oh lord, no, she's gotten too far.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Not even just like crochet, but like crafts in general.
- 6:35Speaker 2: And apparently this is a thing.
- 6:39Speaker 3: Can go to a place and all of your friends
- 6:41Speaker 3: can come and get like a thing a yarn, and
- 6:43Speaker 3: they have crocheting classes and so they'll teach you how
- 6:46Speaker 3: to crochet, and then they'll give you something that you
- 6:49Speaker 3: can make. And within this hour, can you have drinks
- 6:52Speaker 3: and nibblies and stuff?
- 6:53Speaker 2: Right like you've got stuff.
- 6:55Speaker 4: This is an event where you want to get tanged.
- 6:57Speaker 1: I want to see people get wasted and see what
- 6:59Speaker 1: they come.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Oh my god, like a lopsided turtle.
- 7:02Speaker 4: Yeah, a thong crochet. Well that's an idea, so hot idea.
- 7:10Speaker 2: But there are places around us that do this already.
- 7:14Speaker 3: So I was looking up and Colorful Yarns is a
- 7:17Speaker 3: spot where you can host regular crochet Are you getting
- 7:20Speaker 3: paid classes? The Denver craft Michaels.
- 7:24Speaker 2: You can have a party, Michaels.
- 7:27Speaker 3: Nobody's paying me, but you can have up to eight
- 7:29Speaker 3: guest set Michael's and pay one hundred and fifty dollars
- 7:32Speaker 3: and they will supply all the.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Yarn things do they bring there? Do you have to
- 7:39Speaker 2: bring you to bring your ownible?
- 7:41Speaker 4: What do you get from hundreds if you get the yarn.
- 7:43Speaker 3: In the crochet and then the knitting class, like they're
- 7:45Speaker 3: teaching you how.
- 7:46Speaker 4: To do this, Grandma teaches it, they're.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Teaching a class.
- 7:50Speaker 3: I just thought this was genius because the thing is
- 7:53Speaker 3: is you know baby no, no, she was having a
- 7:55Speaker 3: little anxiety about like parties and stuff because it's not
- 7:58Speaker 3: really her thing, Like she doesn't like to go out
- 8:00Speaker 3: and get tanked and just like get peoples people.
- 8:05Speaker 4: She just like she's got a serious boyfriend. There's not
- 8:08Speaker 4: like when you have that, you don't feel the need
- 8:10Speaker 4: to go crazy whatever. And I were dating, we were
- 8:14Speaker 4: tearing it up. We weren't worried about.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Yeah exactly. But I love that again.
- 8:21Speaker 3: It's just another one of those things that makes me
- 8:23Speaker 3: proud as a current, right, Like you want to go
- 8:25Speaker 3: out and create something versus going out and tearing things
- 8:30Speaker 3: down while you're all liquored up, Like there's a.
- 8:33Speaker 4: Need some air mattresses and skateboarder.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Creating something they still have, Like.
- 8:38Speaker 3: Is anybody all of her friends are about that?
- 8:45Speaker 4: I feel sorry for her.
- 8:45Speaker 3: Even her guy friends are like this sounds like fun,
- 8:48Speaker 3: Like okay, like that, you know they really love her
- 8:52Speaker 3: and they're there to support her.
- 8:53Speaker 1: And maybe that's all those guys are like talking to
- 8:55Speaker 1: their buddies. Dude, you're but I get to go hells.
- 9:02Speaker 3: But I mean, truly, it's mostly girls. I'm just you
- 9:06Speaker 3: could absolutely come.
- 9:07Speaker 2: I'm so nice. You haven't got the invite this weekend?
- 9:10Speaker 2: Our next weekend.
- 9:11Speaker 4: Is there a pattern to a big middle finger?
- 9:14Speaker 2: And you know what, if there is, I'm sure you'll
- 9:16Speaker 2: find it.
- 9:17Speaker 4: Jeremy, babe, Na.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Baby, well, bless her little anxiety riddled heart.
- 9:28Speaker 4: Sounds like a good time.
- 9:29Speaker 2: I love it.
- 9:32Speaker 1: I got a couple stories this morning, all about our
- 9:36Speaker 1: incredible seniors.
- 9:38Speaker 4: How about this.
- 9:39Speaker 1: There's a seventy one year old grandma and she had
- 9:43Speaker 1: to jump into a river to rescue a man half
- 9:46Speaker 1: her age, despite only learning to swim after she retired,
- 9:51Speaker 1: so she had not really learned to swim in her youth.
- 9:55Speaker 4: She waited until way later in life to learn how
- 9:58Speaker 4: to swim.
- 9:59Speaker 1: And she was standed by this river and she heard
- 10:01Speaker 1: this guy screaming for help, and without hesitation, she entered
- 10:05Speaker 1: the river using a life preserver to reach the man
- 10:08Speaker 1: who resisted help.
- 10:10Speaker 4: Actually, which is kind of weird.
- 10:11Speaker 1: I don't know if he was like, no, I'm not
- 10:13Speaker 1: I don't you know, I don't want to harm you,
- 10:15Speaker 1: or I don't want to bring you under because you're
- 10:16Speaker 1: a little old lady. Anyway, she ended up overpowering the
- 10:20Speaker 1: guy and pulled him to shore. She admitted she was exhausted,
- 10:26Speaker 1: and her quote was, it was not a big deal
- 10:29Speaker 1: for me. I did not tell my family for the
- 10:30Speaker 1: fear that they would worry about me. But there is
- 10:33Speaker 1: some surveillance footage and she was identified, and then her
- 10:37Speaker 1: brother recognized her, and then he scolded her.
- 10:39Speaker 4: She said, you do.
- 10:42Speaker 1: The video went viral of this little old lady wading
- 10:45Speaker 1: into the water to save a man who is getting
- 10:47Speaker 1: pulled downstream.
- 10:49Speaker 5: Oh.
- 10:49Speaker 4: I love that.
- 10:50Speaker 2: She didn't brag about it either.
- 10:51Speaker 3: So many people just like immediately post their good doings
- 10:54Speaker 3: and she's like, no, it's fine, I say it.
- 10:56Speaker 4: Well, she immediately died. She sadly passed away. Stop it.
- 11:02Speaker 2: I went under that water and I got him, and
- 11:04Speaker 2: it was cold.
- 11:05Speaker 5: He was strong, but I how powered him, bunched him
- 11:10Speaker 5: right in the face, and I took him back to
- 11:12Speaker 5: the show. I said, sure, you need to learn how
- 11:14Speaker 5: to swim, so I can't be doing this all the time.
- 11:17Speaker 4: I'm shaving you one years old.
- 11:19Speaker 2: You should say thank you. I can't get in the
- 11:22Speaker 2: water like these all the time.
- 11:23Speaker 4: Shirt. You just need to be more responsible. And then
- 11:27Speaker 4: I died stop and then how about this? I love
- 11:30Speaker 4: the name.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Kermit and Betty of Saint Cloud, Minnesota, recently marked their
- 11:36Speaker 1: eightieth wedding anniversary surrounded by family at their daughter's home.
- 11:40Speaker 1: They are both ninety nine years old. They share two children,
- 11:44Speaker 1: five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Relationship began as teenagers living across the street from each other.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Kermit enlisted in the Navy during World War Two.
- 11:58Speaker 4: I think the Navy.
- 12:02Speaker 1: He did survive a Kamakazi strike and uh they got
- 12:06Speaker 1: married afterwards.
- 12:07Speaker 4: The story goes on and on and on and on
- 12:09Speaker 4: and on.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Anyway, they did reach out to Kermit and his actual
- 12:12Speaker 1: quote is we still love each other.
- 12:14Speaker 4: Oh yeah, we still loving each other. A Miss Babby,
- 12:18Speaker 4: Miss Babby, I love you.
- 12:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:21Speaker 4: Can you imagine being with the same person for eighty years? No? No,
- 12:26Speaker 4: I would love to pick their brains though those are
- 12:28Speaker 4: people that you just want to sit down and talk
- 12:29Speaker 4: with them because the stories that they can tell tell
- 12:31Speaker 4: me secret.
- 12:32Speaker 5: Why because they'll be like, what, oh, come on, I'm sorry,
- 12:37Speaker 5: what did you say.
- 12:39Speaker 1: They're tarting to pick their brains, sir, I don't care
- 12:42Speaker 1: for the rain.
- 12:44Speaker 4: How long have you been married? Not not that Harry.
- 12:48Speaker 4: I'm not picking their brain at all. You're crazy, Josh
