- 0:01SPEAKER_00: Welcome to the Create Love, Create Freedom Podcast.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: This podcast explores feminine psychology relationships and what shifts when you begin living from your own center rather than from expectation or conditioning.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: My name is Alison Fisher.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: My work focuses on internal feminine authority and relational clarity across the seasons of a woman's life.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: As you listen today, there's nothing you need to force.
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: We're simply noticing what's already present and allowing things to become clearer over time.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: On today's episode, we are going to be discussing when a woman stops struggling to be seen.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: There is a moment in many women's lives when something quietly shifts.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: For years she may have longed to be understood.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: She wanted someone to see the depth of her inner world, her thoughts, her emotional landscape, and the complexity of her experiences.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: She wanted someone to recognize the parts of her that were often hidden beneath competence, beauty, or social roles.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: And yet, for many women, that longing to be seen carries tension, because being seen can also mean being exposed.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: To be seen is to risk rejection.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: To be seen is to risk misunderstanding.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: To be seen is to risk discovering that someone else may not have the capacity to meet the depth that lives inside you.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: So earlier in life, many women oscillate between two impulses wanting to be deeply known and protecting themselves from the vulnerability that real visibility requires.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: But something changes as a woman deepens into her sovereignty.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: The center of gravity moves.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: Let's begin.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: We're going to start with the shift from external validation to internal authority.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: At the beginning of a woman's journey, being seen often feels tied to belonging.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: The question quietly running beneath the surface is if someone sees who I truly am, will they still want me?
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: That question shapes how many women move through relationships.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: They reveal parts of themselves carefully.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: They watch the reactions of others.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: They gauge whether it is safe to show more.
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: But as a woman becomes more internally anchored through reflection, life experience, and personal growth, something begins to change.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: Her sense of self becomes less dependent on how others perceive her.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: She knows her values, she understands her own patterns, and she has faced many of her insecurities and contradictions already.
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: So when someone sees her clearly, it no longer feels like a test of her worth.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: It simply becomes information exchanged between two people.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: And that is a very different experience.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: Let's look at when being seen becomes discernment.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: Once internal authority stabilizes, visibility stops being something a woman tries to control.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: Instead, it becomes a form of discernment.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: If someone sees her clearly and responds with curiosity, respect, and emotional steadiness, that interaction reveals something meaningful about their character.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: If someone becomes uncomfortable, defensive or distant, that also reveals something.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: Being seen becomes less about approval and more about clarity.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: The question quietly shifts from will they accept me to something far more sovereign.
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: What kind of person are they in response to the truth of who I am?
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: This shift changes the tone of relationships dramatically, because the woman is no longer trying to secure connection.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: She is observing the quality of connection that naturally emerges.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: Let's look at the paradox of deep visibility.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: Interestingly, many people say they want to be seen.
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: But few people, both men and women, are comfortable with the deeper layers of vulnerability.
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: There is a difference between someone recognizing your feelings and someone recognizing your patterns.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: Empathy feels safe.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: Structural seeing, the ability to notice your blind spots, contradictions, and unconscious behaviors requires a different level of emotional maturity.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: This is why women who are comfortable being deeply seen often find themselves drawn to partners who are equally willing to engage in that level of psychological honesty.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: Because real intimacy requires both, both safety and truth, and both compassion and clarity.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: Now there is a doorway of vulnerability.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: Even for women who have developed this capacity, there is still a moment of vulnerability when someone sees them clearly.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: Thanks for pointing that out.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: That doesn't feel great that you can see me that well.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: But also, oh, that's very revealing.
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: Maybe even yeah, that's an area I've been working on.
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: Now the shift for the sovereign woman from the way that she used to feel, perhaps when she was younger or less mature, is that instead of saying, Oh wow, that person sees me clearly and they're judging me, or their observation is very sharp, where she may have retreated in the past, now as the sovereign woman she goes, Well yeah, gosh, you really noticed that, didn't you?
- 7:51SPEAKER_00: But I've already noticed that about myself.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: So she leans in.
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: Not because vulnerability is comfortable with her partner, but because she understands something important.
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: On the other side of that moment lies deeper intimacy, both for herself, with herself and with her partner.
- 8:21SPEAKER_00: The ability for two people to meet each other without performance, illusion, or carefully maintained identities is this deeper intimacy.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: And when people two people are capable of standing in that space together, something powerful emerges, not perfection, not constant harmony, but the freedom to grow alongside someone who sees you fully and still chooses to remain.
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: Let's look at the sovereign woman and the courage to be known.
- 9:03SPEAKER_00: A sovereign woman does not perform vulnerability for validation.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: She does not reveal herself in order to secure someone's approval.
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: She simply allows herself to be seen, and she trusts that people or men capable of meeting her there will naturally step forward.
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: The others will quietly step away.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: Both outcomes are useful because in sovereignty being seen is no longer a risk.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: It is a doorway into the kind of connection that only truth can sustain.
- 9:49SPEAKER_00: Next we are going to go a little bit deeper.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: And we are going to begin to look at two different things.
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: The first is why highly perceptive women often unintentionally destabilize men's self-narratives, and also why perceptive women often become threshold figures in men's psychological development.
- 10:27SPEAKER_00: We started this discussion about talking about a woman and how there are these times where she begins to feel safe and she stops struggling to be seen.
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: But one of the interesting things about sovereign women is they are willing to be seen, but they also are able to see that in other people.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: They are able to see that in men that they encounter.
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: And some of those men feel very destabilized when they encounter a perceptive woman.
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: There is this moment of clarity for that person, but it can also feel very sharp, even when a woman has said what she sees, right?
- 11:33SPEAKER_00: Has she reveals this to a man?
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: It still can put him in a very destabilized place.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: So let's examine why highly perceptive women can destabilize men's self-narratives.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: Every person walks through the world with a self-narrative, a story that organizes how they see themselves.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: For example, I'm a good partner who just hasn't met the right woman yet.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: Women tend to reject me unfairly.
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: I'm someone who tries really hard but gets unlucky in relationships.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: These narratives help people maintain internal coherence.
- 12:22SPEAKER_00: They keep life understandable.
- 12:25SPEAKER_00: But sometimes an outside observer, in this case, the sovereign woman, notices something different.
- 12:33SPEAKER_00: Instead of the story being I keep meeting the wrong women, a perceptive person might gently notice you seem to be drawn to women who eventually reject you.
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: That's a subtle but powerful shift.
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: It moves the story from external circumstance to internal pattern.
- 12:58SPEAKER_00: And when that happens, the person's narrative structure wobbles for a moment, even if the feedback is kind and thoughtful, because suddenly the mind has to consider what if the story I've been telling myself is incomplete?
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: That's destabilizing, not because it's cruel, but because self-identity is involved.
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: Let's look at the difference between comfort and clarity.
- 13:31SPEAKER_00: Many interactions in life are built around comfort maintenance.
- 13:36SPEAKER_00: People exchange validation, encouragement, and sympathy.
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: And those things are important.
- 13:44SPEAKER_00: They help regulate emotions.
- 13:46SPEAKER_00: But perceptive people, perceptive women, often offer something else as well, and that is clarity.
- 13:56SPEAKER_00: And clarity doesn't always feel comfortable at first.
- 14:00SPEAKER_00: It's like someone quietly opening a window into a room that's been closed for a long time.
- 14:09SPEAKER_00: The fresh air is good, the sudden shift can feel cold.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: So why does this happen more often to women?
- 14:21SPEAKER_00: Historically and culturally, women are often expected to play roles like emotional support, listener, encourager, and nurturer.
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: When a woman moves beyond those roles and also becomes psychologically perceptive, intellectually reflective, emotionally calm while naming patterns, the dynamic between men and women often changes.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: Instead of simply offering care, she becomes a mirror.
- 15:02SPEAKER_00: And mirrors can feel confronting, not because they are hostile, but because they reveal things we might not have fully been fully ready to see.
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: Let's look at the threshold figure dynamic.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: In psychology and mythology, a threshold figure is someone who appears at a moment when a person could potentially move into a new level of awareness.
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: Think of them as standing at a doorway.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: They don't force someone through the door, they simply show that the door exists.
- 15:47SPEAKER_00: In many men's developmental journeys, certain women play this role without intending to.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: Maybe it is a pattern in his relationships, an emotional blind spot, or a behavior he isn't fully recognized.
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: At that moment something subtle happens.
- 16:26SPEAKER_00: He stands at a psychological threshold.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: Two things become possible.
- 16:34SPEAKER_00: Option A, he becomes curious and explores the insight.
- 16:39SPEAKER_00: Or option B he retreats because the insight feels uncomfortable.
- 16:45SPEAKER_00: Both responses are common.
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: As we explored in the first part of this podcast, option A, when he becomes curious and explores the insight, allows him over time to become the kind of man that we were talking about, for the sovereign woman who has also done her own reflective work, the sovereign woman who can also experience deep vulnerability, but has the courage to be known because he is also learned to be the man who has the courage to be known very deeply by another person.
- 17:30SPEAKER_00: In option B, what we're talking about now, this is the man who retreats because the insight that she offered feels uncomfortable.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: Let's look at why some men withdraw.
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: When someone encounters a threshold moment, they have to decide whether they want to step further into self-reflection.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: That process can feel like vulnerability, loss of certainty, temporary confusion about identity.
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: Not everyone wants that experience, particularly in casual friendships.
- 18:10SPEAKER_00: Not everyone wants that experience in deep romantic relationships either.
- 18:16SPEAKER_00: Sometimes the easiest path forward then is simply distance, maybe not even hostility, just a quiet stepping away from the mirror.
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: But there is a paradox here.
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: The very quality that makes perceptive women interesting to talk with, their ability to see patterns, can also make them uncomfortable to remain around for someone who isn't ready for that level of reflection.
- 18:49SPEAKER_00: At first it can feel exciting for a man.
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: The conversation feels intelligent and engaging, but eventually he realizes this woman sees more than most people.
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: And that reality, that realization, can feel very exposing.
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: He is not open to or has been exposed to that level of vulnerability yet.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: So let's look at why this often happens to sovereign women.
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: There is a sovereign relational posture that a sovereign woman omits.
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: Calm observation, honest reflection, and also the key here for the sovereign woman as well is non-chasing behavior.
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: The sovereign woman is the woman who has moved beyond trying to chase after a man.
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 19:49SPEAKER_00: She may give thoughtful feedback.
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: She doesn't attack him when she shares her insight.
- 19:57SPEAKER_00: She allows the connection to evolve naturally.
- 20:00SPEAKER_00: And she doesn't pursue him even when he pulls back.
- 20:05SPEAKER_00: So she's not trying to trap him.
- 20:09SPEAKER_00: She is simply sharing something and then revealing who is comfortable, what man is comfortable standing in that space.
- 20:20SPEAKER_00: Because to deepen into a relationship, like we were talking about at the first part of this podcast, for that really deep depth, right?
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: To be known and seen by someone else, to be seen by a man, the way that she perhaps deeply longs for, means that most men are not going to be able to encounter that.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: Before she really moved into her sovereignty, she may have felt very frustrated by that, very hurt by that, that all men are not capable, or the men that she had chosen in that moment or chosen to partner with.
- 21:07SPEAKER_00: And eventually she may have to let that man go because she needs to move forward in the next level of her evolving.
- 21:17SPEAKER_00: But the sovereign woman has learned not to chase.
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: She is simply there to reveal, to offer her insights, and those insights reveal who is comfortable standing in that space with her.
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: Lastly, let's look at the long term impact of threshold encounters.
- 21:43SPEAKER_00: Here is something that fascinates me.
- 21:46SPEAKER_00: Even when someone withdraws after a moment like this, the insight often stays with them.
- 21:55SPEAKER_00: The insight of the sovereign woman stays with a man who is not on.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: That threshold yet.
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: It also stays with sovereign men, by the way.
- 22:05SPEAKER_00: But months or years later, they may notice the same relational pattern again, the same emotional loop, and the same dynamic that perhaps the sovereign woman mentioned.
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: And suddenly the conversation that she had with him makes sense.
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: But threshold figures rarely control the transformation.
- 22:31SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: She doesn't control anything.
- 22:34SPEAKER_00: She simply plants the awareness.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: Next, let's look at why sovereign women often unintentionally sort men into three different groups.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: After probably a shorter period of time of conversation, this is something that is going to be very helpful for you if you are looking for that deep connection, and you yourself have taught yourself, right, to stop struggling to be seen.
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: You are in a place now where you have the courage to be known.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: You have walked through the doorway of vulnerability, right?
- 23:21SPEAKER_00: You allow and want deep visibility in your relationships.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: This kind of space, these three kinds of groups are very helpful for you to understand.
- 23:45SPEAKER_00: That, you know, men tend to sort themselves.
- 23:49SPEAKER_00: And especially when interacting with a woman who is calm and observant and not seeking validation.
- 23:57SPEAKER_00: And I want you to understand this isn't about good versus bad men.
- 24:01SPEAKER_00: It's more about how a man organizes himself internally when he encounters a woman like you, who is psychologically clear and self-possessed.
- 24:13SPEAKER_00: So what I have found is these three broad patterns tend to emerge.
- 24:18SPEAKER_00: So the first is the men who lean toward the mirror.
- 24:23SPEAKER_00: These men feel curiosity rather than threat when they begin or when they realize that they're being seen clearly.
- 24:33SPEAKER_00: When a woman reflects something back to them, like a pattern you notice, or a pattern she noticed, they might pause, but their reaction tends to look like asking more questions, considering the observation, reflecting on their own behavior, and sometimes even laughing at themselves.
- 24:57SPEAKER_00: Again, they might pause, they might come back to that a couple of days later.
- 25:02SPEAKER_00: But instead of feeling exposed, they experience the moment as interesting information.
- 25:10SPEAKER_00: Their internal response is something like, that's uncomfortable, but it's also useful.
- 25:17SPEAKER_00: These men tend to be intellectually curious, capable of self-reflection, and reasonably secure in their identity.
- 25:27SPEAKER_00: Being seen doesn't threaten their sense of self, it expands it.
- 25:32SPEAKER_00: And for perceptive women, conversations with men like this often feel energizing and equal.
- 25:43SPEAKER_00: These are the men who are more aligned with that depth, with that willingness to be seen as well, that visibility, that vulnerability that creates something deeply meaningful and beautiful.
- 26:03SPEAKER_00: Not just an average relationship, but something where both people continue to transform, both people continue to grow.
- 26:13SPEAKER_00: Both people become the best versions of themselves through the relationship as well.
- 26:20SPEAKER_00: The second type is the men who move toward comfort.
- 26:27SPEAKER_00: The second group of men doesn't necessarily just reject your clarity or a woman's clarity.
- 26:33SPEAKER_00: They prefer emotional environments where their self-narrative stays intact.
- 26:39SPEAKER_00: When they receive insight about themselves, they may acknowledge it briefly, change the subject, return to later conversation, or avoid deeper reflection.
- 26:51SPEAKER_00: Their internal reaction is usually something like, that might be true, but I don't really want to think about it right now.
- 27:00SPEAKER_00: These men often remain friendly and kind, but over time they tend to gravitate towards interactions that feel less psychologically exposing.
- 27:12SPEAKER_00: They aren't necessarily avoiding the woman personally, they're avoiding the mirror effect.
- 27:19SPEAKER_00: Many ordinary friendships live comfortably in this space.
- 27:27SPEAKER_00: These are not the men for a sovereign woman.
- 27:31SPEAKER_00: She may think they have a little bit of possibility, right?
- 27:38SPEAKER_00: Oh, I could really help this one.
- 27:41SPEAKER_00: You can't.
- 27:58SPEAKER_00: Particularly if you are the woman who has stopped struggling to be seen.
- 28:05SPEAKER_00: The woman who really has the courage to be known and wants that level of depth in her relationship.
- 28:16SPEAKER_00: The third type of men, these are the ones who will quietly step away.
- 28:24SPEAKER_00: The third group tends to experience clear perception by the woman, by the sovereign woman, as destabilizing.
- 28:34SPEAKER_00: When they realize a woman sees their patterns accurately, they may feel subtly evaluated, psychologically exposed, or uncertain about their identity in the interaction.
- 28:49SPEAKER_00: Their nervous system response can be distance, reduced communication, impliate withdrawal.
- 28:56SPEAKER_00: From the outside, it often looks like conversation slowly fades.
- 29:04SPEAKER_00: Their internal reaction may be something like she understands me more than I expected.
- 29:11SPEAKER_00: That awareness can feel uncomfortable if someone isn't ready to examine their patterns.
- 29:19SPEAKER_00: So the easiest solution is simply to leave the interaction.
- 29:24SPEAKER_00: Not angrily, usually, sometimes men will do that, but often just quietly.
- 29:34SPEAKER_00: Let's look at why sovereign women notice this fairly quickly.
- 29:40SPEAKER_00: Women who are emotionally grounded and perceptive often accelerate this sorting process, a lot of times without even intending to do so.
- 29:50SPEAKER_00: These three signals, or there are three things that signal that dynamic very quickly.
- 29:59SPEAKER_00: Number one, the sovereign woman is not seeking approval.
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: When someone isn't trying to impress or please, it removes the usual social hierarchy.
- 30:11SPEAKER_00: The sovereign woman reflects patterns naturally, right?
- 30:16SPEAKER_00: She notices things about behavior and relationships that others overlook.
- 30:21SPEAKER_00: And she doesn't chase connection.
- 30:24SPEAKER_00: Again, this is a hallmark of the sovereign woman.
- 30:29SPEAKER_00: When someone pulls back, she allows the space instead of pursuing them.
- 30:36SPEAKER_00: And that combination creates a very clear relational environment.
- 30:43SPEAKER_00: Women quickly, men and women, but men quickly reveal how comfortable they are with being seen without control.
- 30:56SPEAKER_00: Now, why can this feel so noticeable?
- 31:02SPEAKER_00: Many social environments operate on subtle mutual agreements, like we don't want to look too closely at each other's patterns.
- 31:11SPEAKER_00: That's subtle, very subtle, but it's there.
- 31:15SPEAKER_00: And also we'll stay in the comfort zone.
- 31:19SPEAKER_00: When someone interacts from a place of clarity instead, like the sovereign woman, it changes the tone of the conversation.
- 31:29SPEAKER_00: She's not doing anything aggressive.
- 31:31SPEAKER_00: The interaction contains less illusion.
- 31:35SPEAKER_00: Some people find that refreshing, move towards those men.
- 31:40SPEAKER_00: Others find it unsettling.
- 31:43SPEAKER_00: Keep your distance from those men.
- 31:47SPEAKER_00: Now there is a hidden benefit.
- 31:50SPEAKER_00: Over time, perceptive women often realize something important.
- 31:55SPEAKER_00: They don't actually have to decide which men are compatible with them.
- 32:00SPEAKER_00: Which men are the ones who can go into the depths, the vulnerability, the choosing to be seen, choosing to be known the way that they want to.
- 32:14SPEAKER_00: They don't actually have to decide which men are compatible with them or capable of this.
- 32:20SPEAKER_00: The interaction itself reveals it.
- 32:24SPEAKER_00: Men who are comfortable with psychological honesty, intellectual equality, and emotional clarity tend to stay.
- 32:35SPEAKER_00: Men who prefer environments where their narratives remain unchallenged tend to drift away.
- 32:42SPEAKER_00: So the sorting happens naturally.
- 32:45SPEAKER_00: The biggest difference for the sovereign woman is she doesn't enter the interaction with the man, as being like, oh my gosh, she could be the one.
- 32:54SPEAKER_00: Instead, she says, Well, let me have a conversation with this man.
- 32:59SPEAKER_00: Let me interact with him.
- 33:02SPEAKER_00: And I'll let him sort himself.
- 33:10SPEAKER_00: Next, let's look at why perceptive women gradually shift from being mirrors for men to become quiet evaluators of masculine maturity.
- 33:24SPEAKER_00: This is a very common developmental shift many perceptive women experience.
- 33:31SPEAKER_00: I have found somewhere in their late 30s and 40s.
- 33:35SPEAKER_00: It takes a little bit of time, and you have to know enough men in your life or have been in enough relationships to pick up on it.
- 33:44SPEAKER_00: It is subtle, but once it happens, it changes how interactions with men feel almost immediately.
- 33:53SPEAKER_00: And again, it's the movement from being a mirror for men to becoming a quiet evaluator of masculine maturity.
- 34:02SPEAKER_00: Not evaluator in a judgmental way, more like a structural awareness that's running in the background of your perception.
- 34:14SPEAKER_00: So the earlier phase was the mirror.
- 34:17SPEAKER_00: Earlier in life, many perceptive women function primarily as mirrors for men.
- 34:23SPEAKER_00: Men talk about their lives, relationships, ambitions, frustrations, and the woman naturally listens deeply, understands emotional patterns, reflects insight, and helps them see themselves more clearly.
- 34:41SPEAKER_00: This dynamic can feel meaningful because the conversation contains real psychological depth, but over time something noticeable happens.
- 34:55SPEAKER_00: Many men are comfortable receiving reflection, but not necessarily committed to doing the work that reflection invites.
- 35:06SPEAKER_00: The woman ends up doing the emotional and perceptual labor, while the man continues largely unchanged.
- 35:15SPEAKER_00: At some point, the pattern becomes clear to her.
- 35:20SPEAKER_00: Then there's the moment the dynamic flips.
- 35:25SPEAKER_00: The shift happens when the sovereign woman or moving towards her sovereignty realizes something simple but very powerful.
- 35:35SPEAKER_00: It is not my role to help men understand themselves.
- 35:40SPEAKER_00: Let me say that again.
- 35:42SPEAKER_00: She comes to a place in her life where she realizes it is not my role to help men understand themselves.
- 35:52SPEAKER_00: That doesn't mean she stops being perceptive.
- 35:55SPEAKER_00: What changes is where the perception goes.
- 36:00SPEAKER_00: Instead of reflecting outward, she begins quietly observing inward.
- 36:06SPEAKER_00: The internal questions become how does this res How does this man respond to truth?
- 36:15SPEAKER_00: Can he reflect on himself?
- 36:19SPEAKER_00: Is he emotionally stable when challenged?
- 36:23SPEAKER_00: And does he take responsibility for patterns in his life?
- 36:30SPEAKER_00: She stops explaining men to themselves and instead begins watching how they organize themselves.
- 36:38SPEAKER_00: This saves her years of heartbreak or putting all of her chips behind the wrong man.
- 36:50SPEAKER_00: Next is the quiet evaluation phase.
- 36:55SPEAKER_00: When this shift occurs, conversations with men often become shorter but far more revealing.
- 37:03SPEAKER_00: Because instead of guiding the interaction, the woman is observing things like does he blame others for everything?
- 37:12SPEAKER_00: Does he show curiosity about his own patterns?
- 37:17SPEAKER_00: Does he become defensive when confronted with reality?
- 37:22SPEAKER_00: And can he hold complexity?
- 37:27SPEAKER_00: Three observations happen quickly.
- 37:30SPEAKER_00: Excuse me, these observations happen quickly, often within the first few connections.
- 37:37SPEAKER_00: And they require very little effort from the woman at this point.
- 37:44SPEAKER_00: The man reveals himself through how he reacts to ordinary moments.
- 37:53SPEAKER_00: So why does this happen in a woman's late thirties and forties?
- 37:58SPEAKER_00: I have found that this shift often coincides with several internal developments in women.
- 38:04SPEAKER_00: First is nervous system stability.
- 38:07SPEAKER_00: She is no longer trying to earn love, approval, or validation.
- 38:14SPEAKER_00: Second is identity clarity.
- 38:17SPEAKER_00: She knows who she is and what she values.
- 38:22SPEAKER_00: Third, pattern recognition.
- 38:26SPEAKER_00: Years of relational experience have revealed repeating dynamics.
- 38:34SPEAKER_00: And fourth, reduced tolerance for emotional labor.
- 38:39SPEAKER_00: She no longer feels responsible for helping men grow.
- 38:45SPEAKER_00: The result is a calmer relational posture.
- 38:49SPEAKER_00: She's not pushing anyone away, but she's also not investing energy prematurely.
- 38:58SPEAKER_00: Now, let's also look at the three masculine responses to this woman.
- 39:05SPEAKER_00: When men counter a woman in this phase, they tend to fall into three responses.
- 39:14SPEAKER_00: The mature man he senses the clarity and respects it.
- 39:19SPEAKER_00: He becomes more present, more thoughtful, and engages with genuine depth.
- 39:27SPEAKER_00: These men are comfortable with being seen without losing any sort of status.
- 39:36SPEAKER_00: Then there's the curious man.
- 39:39SPEAKER_00: He is intrigued, but slightly unsettled.
- 39:43SPEAKER_00: He may lean in or drift away, depending on his level of self-awareness.
- 39:49SPEAKER_00: And then there is the defensive man.
- 39:52SPEAKER_00: He evaluates and becomes uncomfortable.
- 39:57SPEAKER_00: These men often withdraw, become dismissive, or subtly try to reassert dominance.
- 40:08SPEAKER_00: But why does the dynamic feel different?
- 40:12SPEAKER_00: When a woman stops acting as a mirror and begins quietly evaluating, the emotional atmosphere changes.
- 40:23SPEAKER_00: It shifts.
- 40:25SPEAKER_00: The conversation becomes less about explaining feelings, processing stories, or giving insight, and more about watching character in real time.
- 40:37SPEAKER_00: Men who are secure with themselves don't feel threatened by this.
- 40:43SPEAKER_00: But men who rely heavily on external validation sometimes feel exposed.
- 40:55SPEAKER_00: Interestingly, women reach, or I should say when women reach this stage, they often discover something unexpected.
- 41:05SPEAKER_00: The number of men who remain comfortable around them becomes smaller.
- 41:12SPEAKER_00: The quality of those men becomes much higher.
- 41:18SPEAKER_00: Because the ones who stay are the ones who are already comfortable with emotional responsibility, intellectual equality, and psychological honesty.
- 41:31SPEAKER_00: And those are the men who can actually sustain deep relationships.
- 41:40SPEAKER_00: So this is what I have for you today.
- 41:44SPEAKER_00: As we spoke about in the first part of this episode, we really looked at the woman who has the courage to be seen, right?
- 41:55SPEAKER_00: The woman who stops struggling to be seen.
- 42:00SPEAKER_00: This quiet shift that happens within her.
- 42:05SPEAKER_00: We discussed that she is very attracted to a man who can meet her on that level.
- 42:16SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 42:16SPEAKER_00: She's gone through the phases of feeling like being seen is to risk rejection, being seen is to risk misunderstanding, being seen is to risk discovering that someone else may not have the capacity to meet the depth that lives inside of her.
- 42:36SPEAKER_00: Then she creates this shift.
- 42:40SPEAKER_00: Then we also looked at how there are different types of men.
- 42:46SPEAKER_00: The not only older that you get, but the more that you trust yourself, the more that you regulate your own nervous system, the more that you know who you are as a woman, the more that you recognize these patterns because you have years of relational experience.
- 43:13SPEAKER_00: And the more that you stop tolerating emotional labor, explaining men to themselves, trying to help men to get to a certain level, the more that you truly narrow your field.
- 43:32SPEAKER_00: At first, this can feel very jarring, but over time you realize that you're not wasting your time, your energy, your effort, your love on men who are never going to be able to sustain the long haul with you in your relationships or relationship.
- 43:55SPEAKER_00: And this shift happens.
- 44:00SPEAKER_00: Both subtly and kind of all at the same time, I have found.
- 44:04SPEAKER_00: I know that feels very paradoxical, but in my own life, I have noticed that it happened slowly, right?
- 44:16SPEAKER_00: As I was gathering information, as I began feeling tired of having to explain things to men, feeling tired of being the one that they always turn to for understanding not only their emotional space, but their psychological, their intellectual space, you know, around relationships.
- 44:45SPEAKER_00: And it can, you can go through a period of feeling frustrated.
- 44:49SPEAKER_00: And then you also reach a period where you just say, yeah, I'm not doing that anymore.
- 44:55SPEAKER_00: I'm stepping into my full sovereignty as a woman.
- 44:59SPEAKER_00: My pool of men may be smaller, but what I want is depth.
- 45:05SPEAKER_00: What I want is someone who sees me truly as I am.
- 45:15SPEAKER_00: It may be hard in those, and I want someone who can also show me emotional clarity too.
- 45:22SPEAKER_00: And it may be hard to hear those things in that moment.
- 45:26SPEAKER_00: It might be difficult.
- 45:28SPEAKER_00: But at the same time, I may need a little space.
- 45:32SPEAKER_00: I may step away a little bit and then come back and say, yeah, interesting that you said that.
- 45:39SPEAKER_00: That was really accurate.
- 45:41SPEAKER_00: And then you can deepen into the intimacy.
- 45:44SPEAKER_00: You can deepen into the connection that you have with someone that you deeply yearn for because you are both very revealing to one another.
- 46:00SPEAKER_00: So I hope that this episode helps you because becoming a sovereign woman is also becoming the kind of woman who has the courage to be known.
- 46:12SPEAKER_00: But it's also the woman who understands which men appreciate that and which men do not.
- 46:20SPEAKER_00: So I hope that this was helpful for you so that you can when you encounter different types of men, you can understand who you should continue investing time in and who you should not.
- 46:38SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much for being here.
- 46:41SPEAKER_00: Let whatever was useful on today's episode settle in its own time.
- 46:48SPEAKER_00: Clarity, I have found, tends to unfold naturally when we give it space.
- 46:54SPEAKER_00: If you find yourself wanting deeper support in your personal work, I have created two spaces, the School of Self-Transformation and the Feminine Reclaiming Course.
- 47:05SPEAKER_00: They are designed for women who are already self-aware and ready to live with more coherence, stability, and self-trust.
- 47:14SPEAKER_00: You can check out both the School of Self-Transformation and the Feminine Reclaiming Course using the links in the show notes, or of course, you can go to create lovefreedom.com.
- 47:28SPEAKER_00: And for women who are also thinking about leadership, business, work, or financial direction, I share a different layer of this work on a podcast called The Feminine Ledger.
- 47:45SPEAKER_00: And also my Feminine Foundry Advisory Practice, Finance at the Sovereign Ledger, where I work with women founders who want clear financial structure and decision making inside their businesses along with long-term sustainability.
