- 0:00Speaker 1: Enough is enough. I have had it.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Why so serious?
- 0:08Speaker 3: And we hold the world ransom for Wayne Gandy.
- 0:11Speaker 4: Excuse me while I whip this out. Broadcasting live in Atlanta, Georgia. This,
- 0:18Speaker 4: this is the Sports Chalk Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 0:23Speaker 5: You may build me up, build me up, yeah, can
- 0:26Speaker 5: you build me up, yeah, but you won't.
- 0:28Speaker 6: Break me down, I've come too far, I've come too far, yeah, yeah,
- 0:32Speaker 6: I've come too.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Far, yeah, so just throw in the towel, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 0:35Speaker 1: it's a new day, I'm.
- 0:37Speaker 3: A, I'm a new day, yeah, I'm gonna go all
- 0:39Speaker 3: the way, you may build me up.
- 0:42Speaker 4: Welcome, welcome, welcome! You're listening to the Sports Shock Show.
- 0:49Speaker 4: I am the Sports Shock Wayne Gandy. Good morning to
- 0:51Speaker 4: you out there in listening land. Glad to be here
- 0:54Speaker 4: with you on this beautiful Monday. Last Monday here in
- 0:59Speaker 4: October as we march to Halloween. I'm quite sure you
- 1:05Speaker 4: got your costumes ready because they've been selling them since June.
- 1:10Speaker 4: So I'm quite sure you should be good and prepared.
- 1:13Speaker 4: I'm quite sure the bikinis of the world have their
- 1:19Speaker 4: dog mascot uniforms for their fur kids or babies or
- 1:26Speaker 4: whatever the terminology they are using in 2026 to refer
- 1:31Speaker 4: to the dog, who is still the dog. It still
- 1:37Speaker 4: hasn't learned how to give anybody CPR. It doesn't know
- 1:43Speaker 4: how to actually go and retrieve the newspaper anymore. It's
- 1:51Speaker 4: just not task-oriented because Big Kenny decided that was too harsh,
- 1:59Speaker 4: too much to ask that the dog actually contribute. So
- 2:07Speaker 4: we just want to hold it and rub it as
- 2:09Speaker 4: we wait on our door dash to be delivered. That's it.
- 2:15Speaker 7: That's it.
- 2:16Speaker 4: But the guys are here. Allen Iverson is in the
- 2:19Speaker 4: building over there. Comanche Greg. Looks like he's going native
- 2:25Speaker 4: or at least, you know. As-salamu alaykum, Iverson. Alaykum salam.
- 2:32Speaker 7: Okay, okay.
- 2:33Speaker 4: We got the Masons in the house over here. The
- 2:36Speaker 4: Ninth Order or whatever they're going by today, riding them
- 2:40Speaker 4: billy goats in the backcountry as they fight those dogs.
- 2:44Speaker 4: All that goes on at the same event. They ride
- 2:48Speaker 4: the dog, ride the donkey or whatever.
- 2:51Speaker 7: As-salamu alaykum, my brother. I don't think that's part of
- 2:54Speaker 7: the Masons, though, is it? It's Shriners, yeah.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 2:58Speaker 4: Really?
- 2:58Speaker 7: They say that, too?
- 2:58Speaker 4: They say that, too?
- 3:00Speaker 7: I missed that at the nine meetings I went to. No,
- 3:02Speaker 7: you was at a clandestine meeting.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Ooh.
- 3:05Speaker 7: Clandestine, spell it. C-L-A-N-D-E-S-T-I-N-E.
- 3:10Speaker 8: Ooh.
- 3:11Speaker 7: Okay.
- 3:12Speaker 4: Word check that for me. Look at the big brain
- 3:14Speaker 4: on Brad. And if he got that right, please look
- 3:18Speaker 4: up the spelling of it for me. Because I want
- 3:21Speaker 4: to make sure if he can spell clandestine, why he
- 3:26Speaker 4: want all his scamming. Because clandestine people and young Miami
- 3:34Speaker 4: people really don't connect a lot. So I want to
- 3:37Speaker 4: know why is most of his conversation with me about
- 3:41Speaker 4: spin that when we could be having actual true earth
- 3:46Speaker 4: moving people moving save the planet dialogue dialogue but he's
- 3:52Speaker 4: been hitting me with the scamming so you got a
- 3:54Speaker 4: whole human being inside yeah man he's talking about a
- 3:57Speaker 4: loafer skateboarder i tell you and then big kenny the
- 4:01Speaker 4: funny man himself uh who has a big decision here
- 4:04Speaker 4: uh laying oh i'm sorry because i keep forgetting He's
- 4:09Speaker 4: Benedict Arnold. He's turnt on his JDS. Jets, Jets, Jets.
- 4:13Speaker 4: So I was going to say he has a big
- 4:14Speaker 4: decision about his coach and whether to fire Aaron Glenn
- 4:20Speaker 4: or not before the. Thanksgiving break. Ain't none of my business.
- 4:24Speaker 4: But that's none of his business. Ain't none of my
- 4:26Speaker 4: concern now. Did you turn in your key card? I did.
- 4:30Speaker 5: I turned in all my jet stuff. I'm literally having
- 4:33Speaker 5: to explain to people who come see me like, man,
- 4:35Speaker 5: why is all this jet stuff in this bag? I
- 4:37Speaker 5: had to put it on. They think you bought it,
- 4:39Speaker 5: sent it to the cleaners.
- 4:40Speaker 4: Or something.
- 4:42Speaker 5: But I will say, Sports Chalk, in defense of those dogs,
- 4:45Speaker 5: their job is to love and comfort the family.
- 4:49Speaker 7: Dogs don't love. They don't. They don't.
- 4:51Speaker 4: They just sit around. They're children who never grow up.
- 4:53Speaker 4: That's the truth about a dog.
- 4:54Speaker 7: They pimp.
- 4:55Speaker 4: They pimp. But they don't love. They make you believe.
- 4:59Speaker 4: They sell that as love.
- 5:00Speaker 5: They make you believe that you need me for all
- 5:03Speaker 5: my life. And they're all expense. That's what dogs are.
- 5:07Speaker 5: All expense in time, energy, and resource. But the rest
- 5:11Speaker 5: of your life, they don't never really give you nothing back.
- 5:14Speaker 5: They don't never grow up and move out. They don't
- 5:16Speaker 5: do nothing. They just be dogs. And for people, that's cool.
- 5:20Speaker 5: But that's all they're doing now. They ain't chasing no cattle.
- 5:24Speaker 5: None of that.
- 5:26Speaker 4: No cattle.
- 5:26Speaker 5: A deer ran up on my dog. I had to
- 5:29Speaker 5: alert my dog that the deer was there. Hey, hey, bro.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Look up.
- 5:33Speaker 7: Yeah, they used to chase cars. They don't chase cars anymore.
- 5:36Speaker 4: No, that's not the modern day 2026 pet or dog anymore.
- 5:42Speaker 4: But tonight, Monday Night Football. A game when the schedule
- 5:46Speaker 4: makers made it, they thought it was going to be
- 5:48Speaker 4: Dak Prescott versus Jalen Hurts. But we understand what Mr.
- 5:52Speaker 4: Hurts is going through. The NFL, NFLPA still doing an investigation.
- 5:57Speaker 4: Hopefully the investigation into that whole blood clot thing is
- 6:00Speaker 4: to just get something official of how to handle the
- 6:05Speaker 4: next case in this situation. The next case, not just,
- 6:11Speaker 4: but also internationally. because it can happen at any point. Uh,
- 6:16Speaker 4: do we leave the player? How long? All those little things.
- 6:19Speaker 4: Hopefully it's more of that than trying to just sit
- 6:23Speaker 4: around and make sure vindicate oneself.
- 6:27Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 6:28Speaker 4: I was going to say, I didn't do this. Maybe
- 6:30Speaker 4: they should.
- 6:30Speaker 5: Come out first and say, Hey, first of all, we're
- 6:32Speaker 5: not looking to find anybody to prosecute or persecute.
- 6:36Speaker 4: We get it. Things happen.
- 6:37Speaker 5: We just want to just what you said, make sure
- 6:40Speaker 5: that going forward, this doesn't happen again. Uh, I think it's, again,
- 6:44Speaker 5: public sentiment. Everybody's screaming and crying that something needs to
- 6:48Speaker 5: be done. They don't even know what. Is it any
- 6:50Speaker 5: blood clot? Is it just any?
- 6:52Speaker 4: If that completely, you don't get to, kind of how
- 6:56Speaker 4: we keep talking about Chris Bosh, but the same situation
- 7:00Speaker 4: where there is actually documentation for the doctor's protocol. Everybody
- 7:05Speaker 4: know that, no, it's not. Because it's in your calf,
- 7:09Speaker 4: we get to wait and see.
- 7:10Speaker 10: Right.
- 7:11Speaker 4: Any blood clots means that you can't play this game.
- 7:14Speaker 7: Can't play.
- 7:15Speaker 4: And that's how you really, to me. Now, in that,
- 7:19Speaker 4: if you find that somebody was negligent, then okay. But
- 7:22Speaker 4: to me, that's how, because even the young tackle for
- 7:25Speaker 4: the Panthers, Moulton, I think the right tackle for the
- 7:30Speaker 4: Carolina Panthers, he went through blood clots last year. Unfortunately,
- 7:36Speaker 4: he came back a couple of weeks ago, and he
- 7:38Speaker 4: hurt his leg yesterday, but I don't know if that's
- 7:41Speaker 4: necessarily related. Maybe it is. But all of these, to me,
- 7:45Speaker 4: are great situations to get something down as a protocol
- 7:50Speaker 4: of how we manage this going forward. Because we sometimes
- 7:54Speaker 4: arguing about who did it, and that's why I feel
- 7:57Speaker 4: like the court system fails sometimes. I've been preaching this
- 8:00Speaker 4: so long. We've gotten so much of I'm going to
- 8:03Speaker 4: try to put them in and you're trying to get
- 8:05Speaker 4: them off that we've forgotten. I think the two lawyers
- 8:08Speaker 4: are supposed to be working to make sure that everybody
- 8:10Speaker 4: is right. Treat it fair.
- 8:12Speaker 10: Right.
- 8:13Speaker 4: And at the end of this, we figure out who
- 8:15Speaker 4: actually did it. That's called the justice system. But both
- 8:21Speaker 4: of us are in here. Too much money involved now.
- 8:24Speaker 4: And now it's the legal system. There's a difference between
- 8:27Speaker 4: the justice system and the legal system. We right now
- 8:30Speaker 4: are entrenched in the legal system. Yes. Right. But we are, okay,
- 8:36Speaker 4: we're willing to put people in that didn't do it,
- 8:38Speaker 4: and we're willing to take people, you know, get people
- 8:41Speaker 4: free that actually did it.
- 8:43Speaker 5: That's not justice. You got to love this country. You
- 8:45Speaker 5: got to love America. I'm just saying now.
- 8:47Speaker 4: And the more and more you get there. Yeah, to
- 8:49Speaker 4: have that as an option. Only in America. To have
- 8:52Speaker 4: that as an option.
- 8:54Speaker 7: Which shouldn't be an option.
- 8:55Speaker 11: I know.
- 8:56Speaker 4: No, I'm saying I agree, but it is. Only in America. Well,
- 8:59Speaker 4: you know, at the butt, that means you're saying whatever
- 9:01Speaker 4: you said before. Cancels it out. You cancel it out.
- 9:06Speaker 5: Yeah, so I'm going to stay with God bless America.
- 9:08Speaker 5: I'm going to just stand on God bless America. God
- 9:11Speaker 5: bless this country. Yeah, I'm going to stop right there.
- 9:13Speaker 4: The Valkyries will do battle tonight as well, 8 o'clock,
- 9:19Speaker 4: against the Atlanta Dream. That series is tied 2-2. There
- 9:24Speaker 4: will be a game six. They're trying to work it out.
- 9:28Speaker 4: It looks like they're going to have to go here
- 9:30Speaker 4: in Atlanta back to their venue but they're trying to
- 9:34Speaker 4: work it out see if the NBA will move the
- 9:38Speaker 4: Hawks I want to say it's Hawks Cavs game on
- 9:43Speaker 4: Thursday night they had the situation when they could do
- 9:48Speaker 4: it this Saturday this past Saturday where they started the
- 9:51Speaker 4: dream game at one and then had the Hawks Houston
- 9:55Speaker 4: uh but the nba and however the schedule makers you
- 9:59Speaker 4: know it's just more than oh no tell them to
- 10:01Speaker 4: go home and there's money game on wednesday and thursday
- 10:06Speaker 4: now so if there were a situation where one of
- 10:10Speaker 4: the hawks key pieces or one of the uh key
- 10:16Speaker 4: members of the coaching staff.
- 10:19Speaker 5: Even the owner said to the NBA, no, we prepared
- 10:23Speaker 5: for that time slot. I don't want to mess up
- 10:26Speaker 5: our game plan by trying to move them around. Who
- 10:29Speaker 5: would have the final say in that? Would the NBA
- 10:32Speaker 5: be on some, nah, Hawks, we supersede your authority? How
- 10:35Speaker 5: would that work? I think that's the battle. But you're
- 10:38Speaker 5: not just battling the Hawks. You're also battling State Farm Arena.
- 10:42Speaker 4: Yes. Remember, sometimes in this case, the man who owns—
- 10:48Speaker 4: Tony wrestler who owns the Hawks happens to own state
- 10:52Speaker 4: farm arena, but that's not always necessarily true. Cause that almost, well,
- 10:59Speaker 4: it can't be conflict of interest.
- 11:01Speaker 7: Can it? I own the Reno. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 11:05Speaker 4: Jerry owns Jerry world and he owns the Cowboys, but
- 11:08Speaker 4: I'm saying it's not always because, uh, Mr. Blank, until
- 11:11Speaker 4: he built the Benz, was in a partnership with the
- 11:16Speaker 4: Georgia World Congress Center. So he would have to work
- 11:22Speaker 4: with them. He didn't have more power to just dictate
- 11:25Speaker 4: as he wants. Yeah, like the specials we get in
- 11:28Speaker 4: the stadium now. But then you also have to, as
- 11:32Speaker 4: the Cleveland Cavaliers— To reschedule and do this and do that.
- 11:38Speaker 4: Because they've already got their training schedule. Why do I
- 11:41Speaker 4: need to do all that now?
- 11:42Speaker 5: Because they making a minimum million three now. They done
- 11:46Speaker 5: got up into the, you know, they where they.
- 11:49Speaker 4: Supposed to be. What's my cut though? What's my cut?
- 11:51Speaker 4: Doing all that. Come on now. If there was some
- 11:53Speaker 4: kind of postponement, they could, okay, the game will be
- 11:56Speaker 4: rescheduled in February or March.
- 11:59Speaker 7: Just be a good Samaritan.
- 12:00Speaker 5: Don't you want to do this out of the goodness
- 12:02Speaker 5: of your heart? What I'm saying- I cut all of
- 12:04Speaker 5: what he was saying. Once you said, what's my cut?
- 12:08Speaker 4: Those were trigger words for me.
- 12:10Speaker 5: What's my cut? That's what I understand right there. We
- 12:13Speaker 5: trying to work that part out. He talking about something
- 12:16Speaker 5: that nobody in the business meeting is even thinking about.
- 12:20Speaker 5: But that's what it is. What's my cut?
- 12:23Speaker 4: You want me to cancel my plans and rearrange all
- 12:27Speaker 4: this time we've put into booking things to get there
- 12:32Speaker 4: and Yes.
- 12:33Speaker 7: Okay.
- 12:34Speaker 4: But I don't see no numbers.
- 12:36Speaker 12: But it would seem as though the WNBA would want
- 12:38Speaker 12: to work with everyone, but they don't want to work
- 12:42Speaker 12: with everyone. And if he was working with everyone and
- 12:44Speaker 12: being a good Samaritan, someone might say, hey, let's go
- 12:48Speaker 12: ahead and let's– You get a cup of coffee, go
- 12:50Speaker 12: sit in the lobby with Comanche Gray.
- 12:52Speaker 4: That's what you do. Y'all go talk about that out there.
- 12:55Speaker 4: Let's get back to the– Just remember, next year– The
- 12:59Speaker 4: Dream won't have this problem because they will be part
- 13:01Speaker 4: of State Farm Arena. The problem is they... Did not
- 13:07Speaker 4: anticipate being in the finals. They're not part of... Yes.
- 13:10Speaker 4: Back then, you didn't want them. Well, that's not State
- 13:12Speaker 4: Farm's business. Exactly.
- 13:14Speaker 13: Right.
- 13:14Speaker 4: It's not their fault.
- 13:15Speaker 8: Right.
- 13:15Speaker 4: You weren't selling tickets. It's not State Farm Arena's fault.
- 13:18Speaker 4: They just didn't anticipate it. We'll be back with more
- 13:21Speaker 4: of the Sports Jock Show right after this. Don't go away.
- 13:24Speaker 14: More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gamby is.
- 13:27Speaker 4: Coming up next.
- 13:46Speaker 8: Returning military vets. They've served our country at home and abroad.
- 13:49Speaker 8: They've slept in tanks, foxholes, and even out in the weather.
- 13:53Speaker 8: They've had our backs.
- 13:55Speaker 7: We have theirs.
- 13:56Speaker 2: The Sports Chalk Man of Honor, Mr.
- 13:58Speaker 8: Scott Holliday, CEO of Mattress Heroes USA, is giving back
- 14:02Speaker 8: to the vets by giving away a free mattress to
- 14:05Speaker 8: returning vets every single week on the Sports Chalk Show.
- 14:08Speaker 4: You had our backs.
- 14:09Speaker 15: Now we have yours.
- 14:10Speaker 8: To register your returning vet, email heroes at thesportschalk.com or

- 14:42Speaker 16: Talking about guns with others might not always feel comfortable,
- 14:45Speaker 16: but it could save a life. Here's a way to
- 14:47Speaker 16: start a conversation. Your family is going over to your
- 14:50Speaker 16: neighbor's home for dinner for the first time. How would
- 14:53Speaker 16: you ask if there are any unlocked guns in the home?
- 14:55Speaker 17: Hey.
- 14:55Speaker 4: Hey, we're so excited for tonight.
- 14:57Speaker 7: Before we come over, though, may I ask if there
- 15:00Speaker 7: are any unlocked guns in your home?
- 15:02Speaker 6: Our guns are stored securely, locked in a safe that
- 15:04Speaker 6: the kids can't access.
- 15:07Speaker 7: Awesome.
- 15:07Speaker 16: Learn how to have the conversation at agree2agree. org. Brought to
- 15:11Speaker 16: you by the Ad Council.
- 15:12Speaker 17: There's danger out there. It lurks on highways and quiet
- 15:16Speaker 17: neighborhood streets. It's more likely to kill you than a
- 15:18Speaker 17: shark and more terrifying than the biggest snake. Distracted driving
- 15:22Speaker 17: claims lives every day. Every notification, swipe, social post, video,
- 15:27Speaker 17: or selfie while driving risks your life. So while you
- 15:31Speaker 17: might think public speaking or the zombie apocalypse is scary,
- 15:34Speaker 17: what's really terrifying and even deadly is distracted driving.
- 15:38Speaker 15: Eyes forward.
- 15:39Speaker 17: Don't drive distracted. Brought to you by NHTSA and the
- 15:42Speaker 17: Ad Council.
- 15:45Speaker 18: And now, back to the sports jar, Wayne Ganty. The
- 15:51Speaker 18: Jock of the Day is sponsored by MattressHeroesUSA.com. The sleep
- 15:55Speaker 18: you deserve at a price you can afford. Now, it's
- 15:58Speaker 18: time to present the Jock of the Day on the
- 16:01Speaker 18: Sports Jock Show.
- 16:02Speaker 4: He's taking it to a completely different level this year.
- 16:05Speaker 8: Where we highlight an athlete that has taken their game
- 16:08Speaker 8: to the next level.
- 16:16Speaker 4: Welcome back to.
- 16:20Speaker 1: The Sports Talk Show.
- 16:21Speaker 4: I'm the Sports Talk Wayne Candy. Good morning to you
- 16:24Speaker 4: out there listening and laying out there.
- 16:26Speaker 7: Remember Monday Night Football?
- 16:28Speaker 1: Tonight, Eagles, Cowboys.
- 16:29Speaker 7: I'm not sure who even is.
- 16:31Speaker 4: The starter for the Eagles at quarterback and this is
- 16:47Speaker 4: one of those classic examples of when you have the
- 16:50Speaker 4: team you have to win with the team because at
- 16:57Speaker 4: any moment now when you look Lane Johnson the right
- 17:01Speaker 4: tackle retired you ship you ship Brown off to the
- 17:06Speaker 4: Patriots Jalen Hurts is now hurt different components are gone
- 17:11Speaker 4: so the team that You saw two years ago that
- 17:15Speaker 4: was doing all that work, winning the Super Bowl. Now,
- 17:18Speaker 4: most of those guys that you were really relying on
- 17:21Speaker 4: aren't there. Guys like... Kelsey is retired. Retired. And everything starts.
- 17:28Speaker 7: Saquon Barkley has not been the same.
- 17:31Speaker 4: So all those things start changing on you very quickly.
- 17:34Speaker 4: So when you do get the baton, you do have
- 17:36Speaker 4: to do your work. The Cowboys, everybody's killing the Cowboys.
- 17:41Speaker 4: And their ex, you know, I saw something from Terry Bradshaw.
- 17:44Speaker 4: It's really, to me, as I said, two things. The
- 17:47Speaker 4: Cowboys for a minute now because Jerry's part of the
- 17:52Speaker 4: financial world is so big. and has become almost unstoppable
- 17:58Speaker 4: because he made the cowboy brand. He made them the
- 18:01Speaker 4: Coca-Cola of the drink industry. Meaning they're so big, it's
- 18:06Speaker 4: just hard for them to fail as that old saying goes.
- 18:11Speaker 4: And he treats his players in a way that they
- 18:16Speaker 4: sometimes mentally start feeling like we're champions. There is a
- 18:25Speaker 4: part of roughness and not having that continues to make
- 18:30Speaker 4: you fight, but their luxurious way that they have handled
- 18:34Speaker 4: because the numbers, the numbers say high class. This is
- 18:42Speaker 4: not the bottom. This is the number one franchise in
- 18:46Speaker 4: the United States of America. There is no mud to
- 18:49Speaker 4: get it out of. There's no mud to get it
- 18:51Speaker 4: out of. So you get there and it's luxury items
- 18:55Speaker 4: all the way to everything. And that's just how he
- 18:59Speaker 4: treats them. On top of, to me, the Cowboys got
- 19:03Speaker 4: away from a lot of teams. So they're not the
- 19:06Speaker 4: only team. You see it in high school. You see
- 19:08Speaker 4: it in college. You see it in the pros. taking
- 19:12Speaker 4: too much of the responsibility and laying it on the quarterback.
- 19:19Speaker 4: I can just name team after team that just went
- 19:23Speaker 4: with that idea of the public sentiment of the franchise
- 19:29Speaker 4: quarterback and decided that the other parts are not as significant.
- 19:34Speaker 4: And when you watch the Cowboys, they want to win
- 19:37Speaker 4: through the air and they want to win with the
- 19:40Speaker 4: big play. So first of all, that puts a lot
- 19:44Speaker 4: of pressure that Dak has to always be in sequence.
- 19:46Speaker 4: Second of all, it kind of almost, permeates through the team.
- 19:53Speaker 4: Makes guys feel like they don't necessarily, Dak got it.
- 19:56Speaker 4: I don't really have to participate at 100%. Dak got it, right?
- 20:01Speaker 4: I'm comfortable letting Dak have it. I've gotten complacent. CD,
- 20:05Speaker 4: run your route. You just do what you got to
- 20:07Speaker 4: do and that's going to get.
- 20:08Speaker 1: It to you.
- 20:08Speaker 4: The receivers might feel that way too.
- 20:10Speaker 7: Pickens, he's going to throw to you.
- 20:13Speaker 4: That got it kind of attitude in a lot of teams.
- 20:16Speaker 4: You can lose your team, find a way, run the ball,
- 20:19Speaker 4: make all 53 people accountable. I noticed that with the
- 20:23Speaker 4: Texas Longhorns and Arch Manning. First of all, stop criticizing
- 20:28Speaker 4: this young kid play to play. Yeah, it's like play-to-play
- 20:34Speaker 4: analysis of this young man.
- 20:39Speaker 5: He only had a 13% arch on that ball, and
- 20:42Speaker 5: it would have gotten into the... But look, he's in
- 20:45Speaker 5: the red zone, and he only took two steps back.
- 20:47Speaker 5: Look how he moves to the side. It's like, man.
- 20:53Speaker 4: His attitude seems a little more aggressive today. Are y'all
- 20:57Speaker 4: really managing his attitude? His attitude, his body posture, his footwork,
- 21:02Speaker 4: his arm strength, his choice. He took the underneath route.
- 21:05Speaker 4: He should have took the over route. That post game,
- 21:08Speaker 4: isn't it? And then the next play, it's the other
- 21:11Speaker 4: way around.
- 21:11Speaker 5: He took the underneath route. He should have thrown it down.
- 21:15Speaker 5: And I'm saying, didn't that used to be post-game analysis?
- 21:18Speaker 5: That used to be after it was over and you
- 21:20Speaker 5: wanted to fill some space up on the TV. You
- 21:23Speaker 5: would talk about all of those things. But with Arch Manning,
- 21:26Speaker 5: it is literally play-to-play.
- 21:27Speaker 4: Play-to-play, series-to-series. His draft stock is rising and falling. Winning
- 21:32Speaker 4: is not good enough. His decision-making has to be yours. Like,
- 21:41Speaker 4: it's a lot. of, you know, just hearing the game, watched,
- 21:45Speaker 4: you know, about a half of the game this past
- 21:47Speaker 4: Saturday with him when they were playing Ole Miss. And
- 21:50Speaker 4: it's like, first of all, and I hope I don't
- 21:53Speaker 4: do it. I'm on the high school level. I do
- 21:56Speaker 4: the college before with the color analysts. And I've seen
- 21:59Speaker 4: they're like, man, I hope I don't color the game
- 22:01Speaker 4: where I make it seem like the other 10 players
- 22:04Speaker 4: don't have a job to do.
- 22:06Speaker 9: Right.
- 22:06Speaker 4: Only Arch has a job to do. And I'm sitting
- 22:09Speaker 4: there like, well, this offensive line is not blocking anybody.
- 22:13Speaker 4: And are y'all going to run the ball? This is
- 22:15Speaker 4: what's going in my head. But whoever, I forget who
- 22:18Speaker 4: was doing the game the other day, all they kept
- 22:20Speaker 4: doing was arch this and arch that. That was a questionable.
- 22:25Speaker 4: And you think they might have been pushed by the
- 22:32Speaker 4: network to talk about arch as much as possible?
- 22:36Speaker 12: And that's what I want to say because it seemed
- 22:37Speaker 12: like since that That little incident with the fake slap,
- 22:42Speaker 12: they really have– they were already on him.
- 22:44Speaker 7: But now it's like we're on you now.
- 22:47Speaker 12: We're going to really just be on top of everything
- 22:50Speaker 12: you do, you say.
- 22:51Speaker 7: And I'm just– and it's like you said, I got
- 22:54Speaker 7: to give you credit.
- 22:55Speaker 12: You do, even in the game the other night, the
- 22:57Speaker 12: linemen come in, you made note who the new linemen
- 23:00Speaker 12: that came in the game, which that's good. The kids
- 23:04Speaker 12: got their name called on TV, so good job, sports job.
- 23:06Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm always trying to get everybody's because I know
- 23:08Speaker 4: that's very important to the kid and the family. Because
- 23:10Speaker 4: somebody at their homes heard them say their name. Somebody
- 23:12Speaker 4: heard their name and point out their contribution. Like, hey,
- 23:17Speaker 4: before Comanche Greg does his little touchdown dance. Oh, this
- 23:20Speaker 4: was the scrub team. All this started off with the protection. Right.
- 23:25Speaker 4: When you can get seven seconds.
- 23:27Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 23:29Speaker 4: In the pocket. In the pocket. That makes a lot
- 23:30Speaker 4: of difference. We were getting garbage time, though.
- 23:33Speaker 12: You was giving the garbage time guys some good info.
- 23:36Speaker 7: I like that.
- 23:37Speaker 4: Texas beat Ole Miss.
- 23:39Speaker 7: Yes.
- 23:41Speaker 5: In a game that I thought Ole Miss should have
- 23:43Speaker 5: never gotten as close as they did. Texas really had
- 23:46Speaker 5: to dig down and get that win. do you think
- 23:49Speaker 5: Arch could have survived a hottie effing toddy as a,
- 23:53Speaker 5: you know, as a change in my attitude? Do you
- 23:56Speaker 5: think they'll let him display that kind of personality?
- 24:00Speaker 4: No, they have policed Arch that he has to create
- 24:05Speaker 4: whatever Peyton and Eli. And it's just hard of being
- 24:11Speaker 4: in that sequence of great families or great dads or,
- 24:17Speaker 4: somebody's kid to where, you know, you dismiss, well, his
- 24:22Speaker 4: son was good enough to get a scholarship to Duke. Yeah.
- 24:27Speaker 4: You're making, to play basketball, you're making it seem like, well,
- 24:30Speaker 4: he wasn't his daddy. Well, he still turned out decent
- 24:34Speaker 4: enough to get to Duke. Yeah, state championship in basketball.
- 24:37Speaker 7: Arch Manning.
- 24:38Speaker 4: We'll be back with more of the Sports Talk show
- 24:40Speaker 4: right after this. But at the same time, I say,
- 24:44Speaker 4: why is it me? Am I the target for destruction?
- 24:48Speaker 4: What about the system and total corruption? Don't go away.
- 24:52Speaker 19: War of the Sports Jot Show with Wayne Gamby is
- 24:56Speaker 19: coming up next.
- 24:58Speaker 7: As veterans, we're no strangers to helping others.
- 25:01Speaker 2: That's what we were taught, service before self.
- 25:03Speaker 15: But we do have one question for the veterans listening.
- 25:07Speaker 4: When is the last time you reached out for help?
- 25:11Speaker 16: If you or someone you know needs resources, whether it's
- 25:14Speaker 16: for stress, finances, employment, or mental health.
- 25:17Speaker 20: Don't wait.

- 27:11Speaker 17: Thank you.
- 27:25Speaker 8: Welcome back to the Sports Shop Show.
- 27:33Speaker 4: I'm the Sports Shop's Wayne Gandy. Good morning to you
- 27:40Speaker 4: out there in listening land. Just going to hit on
- 27:43Speaker 4: this real quick because Nikola Jokic, the Joker for the
- 27:49Speaker 4: Denver Nuggets, said that the fans, the Nugget fans that
- 27:53Speaker 4: were booing Don't need to come back to the arena.
- 28:00Speaker 4: Any of you Nugget fans, remember when we was down
- 28:02Speaker 4: 23 and y'all was hitting me with the boob? And
- 28:07Speaker 4: then we came back and won.
- 28:09Speaker 7: He wants all the people that were booing him.
- 28:12Speaker 4: No, no, no, no, no, no.
- 28:14Speaker 5: Joker, we were just booing your losing by 23. We're
- 28:18Speaker 5: cool with your winning and the coming back.
- 28:20Speaker 4: No, I'm from.
- 28:20Speaker 7: Yugoslavia, wherever. Booing means fight.
- 28:24Speaker 4: We at war. We at war. Drones are coming soon. Yeah,
- 28:28Speaker 4: when you start booing. You don't get to take that
- 28:30Speaker 4: back in Serbia.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Yeah, you don't.
- 28:32Speaker 4: In Serbia, that's not one of those, oh, I didn't mean.
- 28:35Speaker 5: Yeah, that's Hatfield-McCoy stuff in Serbia. So I guess he's
- 28:40Speaker 5: drawn his line in the same.
- 28:41Speaker 4: We always get this early in the season, in an
- 28:45Speaker 4: NBA season, where it's like game, like we're talking about
- 28:48Speaker 4: with arch play-to-play, people look at the NBA game-to-game, like
- 28:53Speaker 4: evaluate a team game-to-game. The Knicks are 0-3, and people
- 28:58Speaker 4: are asking, Oh, do the Knicks know how to win anymore?
- 29:01Speaker 4: It's three games. They got another one tomorrow. I thought
- 29:05Speaker 4: it was Knicks and five. Remember a couple of months ago? Yeah,
- 29:08Speaker 4: Knicks in five. They said Knicks in five. And didn't
- 29:11Speaker 4: they do it in five? That was last season. I
- 29:13Speaker 4: think they did it in five. They did it in five.
- 29:15Speaker 7: That was in June.
- 29:16Speaker 4: That was last season. That was like four months ago.
- 29:19Speaker 4: I'm saying.
- 29:19Speaker 7: That was last season.
- 29:20Speaker 4: On couch, they were 100%. It's a new season. But
- 29:24Speaker 4: I'm saying this because the last couple of shows, we
- 29:27Speaker 4: were talking about fans and booing, and I said, and
- 29:30Speaker 4: when he said that, and then I went to the
- 29:32Speaker 4: Auburn game, they really– disappointed me with their effort. Not
- 29:38Speaker 4: that they lost. because I look at effort, especially when
- 29:44Speaker 4: the team, they were playing LSU. I needed the same effort.
- 29:48Speaker 4: If they were going to beat LSU, they needed the
- 29:52Speaker 4: same effort they put out at Georgia. Doesn't mean you're
- 29:55Speaker 4: going to win or lose, but you're going to need
- 29:57Speaker 4: that effort to beat them. They did not bring that.
- 30:00Speaker 4: But I was so proud of the 90,000 Auburn fans
- 30:05Speaker 4: because they did not boo. They did exactly what I
- 30:11Speaker 4: was telling fans. They sat right there and was quiet
- 30:15Speaker 4: in their chair. And then once they realized, so y'all
- 30:19Speaker 4: aren't going to do it, they got their stuff back.
- 30:22Speaker 4: And went on out in the stadium, but at no
- 30:25Speaker 4: point in that, and it was a little blowout there
- 30:28Speaker 4: for a while. I know we saw a late touchdown
- 30:30Speaker 4: to make it look like it was, I think it
- 30:33Speaker 4: ended up 38-17 or something, and it looked closer at
- 30:35Speaker 4: the end. But they did not, there was never a boo.
- 30:39Speaker 4: So when I sit in there, I'm thinking, this is
- 30:41Speaker 4: what I'm saying. The players get, you get the same
- 30:44Speaker 4: impact from the silence. No, no, no, no, no, you don't.
- 30:47Speaker 4: You don't get the same impact. It's worse.
- 30:49Speaker 1: It's worse.
- 30:50Speaker 5: To be in front of throngs of people where any
- 30:56Speaker 5: noise sounds like a roar and it's quiet enough that
- 31:00Speaker 5: you can hear the soda machine.
- 31:03Speaker 4: Way up over in the vending area.
- 31:06Speaker 1: Like.
- 31:10Speaker 5: You hear ice, that is torture to someone in a
- 31:14Speaker 5: performance discipline.
- 31:15Speaker 7: Table six, order the 12-piece lemon powder clean.
- 31:18Speaker 5: That's all you hear in the back. And I'm in
- 31:20Speaker 5: the middle of a whole comedy show. And you can
- 31:24Speaker 5: hear these people saying table six. Need some lemon pepper
- 31:27Speaker 5: wings in the back.
- 31:28Speaker 4: In that whispery voice. Please somebody boo me. Somebody boo me.
- 31:36Speaker 4: Give me a reason to leave. But no, you're going
- 31:39Speaker 4: to make me live through this. Because you can't leave
- 31:42Speaker 4: if I'm silent, right?
- 31:43Speaker 7: I can't.
- 31:44Speaker 5: It's like the telephone solicitation. Unless I get aggressive, you
- 31:49Speaker 5: can't hang up. You just got to keep on. So
- 31:53Speaker 5: why would you not want to continue with your service
- 31:56Speaker 5: with us? And you just got to live in that moment.
- 31:58Speaker 5: And that, to me, is what booing is. It eliminates
- 32:02Speaker 5: you having to live in the moment that I am failing.
- 32:05Speaker 7: Because booing is energy.
- 32:06Speaker 4: Yes, yes. It might be the wrong energy, but it's energy.
- 32:10Speaker 4: Quiet is dead. Quiet is nothing. You are giving me nothing.
- 32:15Speaker 4: It shows that you don't care. Disconnect, exactly. Yeah, you
- 32:19Speaker 4: want your mom and dad to yell at you. Please, mama.
- 32:23Speaker 4: You just walk in the house and she looks at you.
- 32:25Speaker 5: And shake her head and walk away. You about to
- 32:27Speaker 5: get put out. Your mama about to change the lock.
- 32:30Speaker 5: By hearing that, I'm not mad.
- 32:31Speaker 4: I'm just disappointed. Mama get the belt. You go check
- 32:36Speaker 4: your key. Show me some love, baby.
- 32:39Speaker 5: When she say that, you go check your key in
- 32:40Speaker 5: the lock like mama done already changed it.
- 32:42Speaker 4: You seem like you don't love me no more. Hit
- 32:43Speaker 4: me with the belt, mama. Please, please.
- 32:45Speaker 7: Put me on punch.
- 32:46Speaker 4: Okay, mama still like me. Go ahead on and hit me.
- 32:48Speaker 12: But evaluating the teams, when you said the NBA fans
- 32:52Speaker 12: are booing like the first two or three games, that
- 32:56Speaker 12: is something crazy. But the Knicks, do you think when
- 32:59Speaker 12: teams come back and they say they're the defending champion–
- 33:03Speaker 12: Is that a lot of pressure? I mean, if you're
- 33:04Speaker 12: just a champion of that season right then, you shouldn't
- 33:08Speaker 12: even come back thinking about it. Because in the back
- 33:10Speaker 12: of your head, if you constantly say, they're the defending champion.
- 33:13Speaker 4: I mean, the trophy with me. Well, every team is different.
- 33:16Speaker 4: The Knicks are still on their high. I mean, Jalen
- 33:19Speaker 4: Bronson just shot an episode of Law & Order. So
- 33:25Speaker 4: these guys haven't gotten back to basketball mentally yet. They
- 33:30Speaker 4: went out and ran the stadiums and took the jump
- 33:33Speaker 4: shot and all that. But you're talking about for how
- 33:37Speaker 4: the thirst of New York Knicks, they are in, you know,
- 33:43Speaker 4: what's his name, the power forward?
- 33:46Speaker 7: Ananobi.
- 33:47Speaker 4: Ananobi is selling sneakers and different colorways. And he's the
- 33:52Speaker 4: head man for Skechers or whatever that is. So he
- 33:56Speaker 4: is living a life of celebrity fashion. That has never
- 34:00Speaker 4: been offered to him. But he's always been close enough
- 34:05Speaker 4: to glimpse. And the two cities of the most celebrity
- 34:08Speaker 4: that you can gain is New York and L.A. Winning
- 34:11Speaker 4: in those places, you're getting all kind of contractual, you know.
- 34:15Speaker 4: Just in the city alone. Yes, and you're getting invites
- 34:18Speaker 4: to come to the Ben Stiller party, and Spike wants
- 34:21Speaker 4: you to stop by his little mixer for the new movie,
- 34:26Speaker 4: things that you have access to. Yeah, yeah. You know,
- 34:30Speaker 4: and I'm on a small scale, not just small scale
- 34:34Speaker 4: because the Rams were losing. When I even went to L.A.
- 34:40Speaker 4: as a rookie, I was going to Dr. Dre premieres,
- 34:44Speaker 4: Snoop premieres. I'm sitting here like, this is the life.
- 34:47Speaker 4: We ain't even won a game. We like won in nine.
- 34:50Speaker 4: And they can't wait to get me up in there.
- 34:52Speaker 4: They want you to come and you're sitting there. So
- 34:55Speaker 4: think about the Knicks.
- 34:56Speaker 22: Yeah.
- 34:57Speaker 4: And what they've been off. They haven't gotten back mentally
- 34:59Speaker 4: to basketball yet. That's what I'm saying when you get that.
- 35:01Speaker 4: What Greg is saying is that they're still there. They're
- 35:05Speaker 4: still there. And you hope they're losing willpower. And that's
- 35:08Speaker 4: why you can see Jalen Brunson. That's what I was saying.
- 35:12Speaker 4: I think it's being blown out of proportion with a
- 35:16Speaker 4: team like the Knicks or even with the.
- 35:19Speaker 12: Because they're not even defending right now. They're not even
- 35:22Speaker 12: in that defending mode.
- 35:23Speaker 4: Well, it's like they're expected to– they're supposed to win
- 35:26Speaker 4: the championship this month.
- 35:28Speaker 5: And that's the thing.
- 35:31Speaker 4: Jalen Brunson went from the casual– Now he needs his
- 35:37Speaker 4: security people have to take him places.
- 35:39Speaker 7: Take him places. And he didn't have that before.
- 35:42Speaker 4: He hasn't.
- 35:43Speaker 7: He's living the rock star sports life.
- 35:47Speaker 5: And for the fans who booed in Denver, for the
- 35:51Speaker 5: fans who are asking, do the Knicks still know how
- 35:53Speaker 5: to win? I'm surprised that you guys are surprised by
- 35:58Speaker 5: anything that fans do. I'm saying this is the most
- 36:02Speaker 5: fickle demographic that you've ever assembled for anything. Fans, they
- 36:07Speaker 5: will love you in the first quarter and by the
- 36:10Speaker 5: fourth quarter be calling for your execution and they'll do
- 36:14Speaker 5: it that quick and we still be like, I can't
- 36:17Speaker 5: believe my fans.
- 36:17Speaker 4: And then not remember that they actually did it. They.
- 36:21Speaker 5: They'll tell you you ought to be okay with it.
- 36:24Speaker 5: You should understand. I don't care if you remember. You
- 36:27Speaker 5: deserved it when we booed you. And now that we've
- 36:30Speaker 5: stopped booing you, let's be cool again like we was
- 36:33Speaker 5: cool while you tripping.
- 36:34Speaker 4: And that's the only thing I'm advising for you as
- 36:36Speaker 4: a fan. I'm never going to boo Auburn. That's it.
- 36:41Speaker 4: I'll get up and leave early. I might switch to
- 36:44Speaker 4: another game. That's mine.
- 36:48Speaker 5: And don't be surprised if the team starts treating you
- 36:51Speaker 5: the way you treat them. No, we're not coming to
- 36:54Speaker 5: no autograph signings.
- 36:55Speaker 4: Now, here in Atlanta, I went down to the 49er
- 36:58Speaker 4: game yesterday. 49ers, once again, a crowd not as big
- 37:05Speaker 4: as something like the Stillers or not as big as
- 37:08Speaker 4: like when the Saints come marching in.
- 37:10Speaker 7: Or when the Bears was here. Or the Bears were here.
- 37:13Speaker 7: But close to it.
- 37:16Speaker 4: And the one thing I would just love, and I
- 37:19Speaker 4: think Dan Quinn was the coach when he was asking
- 37:25Speaker 4: the Falcon fan to go to their seat. Yes. Go
- 37:32Speaker 4: to your seat. I've never seen an arena where people
- 37:39Speaker 4: will buy a ticket to a seat and stand in
- 37:44Speaker 4: the common areas. Instead of go to their seat. To
- 37:51Speaker 4: be in the arena, and I wanted to ask you
- 37:53Speaker 4: guys to ask around. Maybe I have it wrong. I
- 37:55Speaker 4: need to call the Falcons. Are they selling common area seats?
- 38:01Speaker 1: No, no.
- 38:02Speaker 4: Because all you do is see about 2,000 people. Just
- 38:08Speaker 4: standing in the common area. Just standing in the common area,
- 38:11Speaker 4: standing on the bridge walkway.
- 38:13Speaker 1: I'm saying.
- 38:14Speaker 4: And I was wondering, I'm like, well, I wonder if
- 38:15Speaker 4: they sell rafter standing. That's not a, that's a fire violation. No,
- 38:20Speaker 4: but you got to.
- 38:20Speaker 7: Standing room only.
- 38:21Speaker 4: Like they used to do at Turner Field. They used
- 38:23Speaker 4: to sell the $ 5.
- 38:24Speaker 12: You can come in and just stand at the bar there.
- 38:26Speaker 4: They don't. In the outfield. They do not sell standing
- 38:30Speaker 4: room only seats, but.
- 38:31Speaker 5: They do have a little sports bar that got brisket
- 38:34Speaker 5: nachos up there. So, I mean, why wouldn't I just
- 38:36Speaker 5: sit up here in front of the big screen TV
- 38:39Speaker 5: on the breezeway?
- 38:39Speaker 7: Because you sprayed $ 150.
- 38:41Speaker 4: Yeah, but them seats, I had to walk the steps.
- 38:45Speaker 4: They sell brisket nachos right here at a bar, and
- 38:49Speaker 4: I'm watching the game in the stadium. But can't you
- 38:52Speaker 4: take the brisket nachos to your seat? Why you can't
- 38:54Speaker 4: take the brisket nachos and actually watch the game in
- 38:57Speaker 4: the stadium? But I got a bar stool.
- 38:59Speaker 7: I can't high five like I need to.
- 39:02Speaker 4: And the bartender is two feet from me here. And
- 39:05Speaker 4: then they got a little. So it's about you and
- 39:06Speaker 4: not the team. Yeah, it's about the team. But I
- 39:09Speaker 4: thought it was about the team.
- 39:10Speaker 5: I'm going to go test drive to Ben's after this though.
- 39:14Speaker 4: Over here. So to me, as we go to break,
- 39:19Speaker 4: I'm looking around. You're not making any noise. It's quiet
- 39:24Speaker 4: in here. The other team, the 49ers, they're not in
- 39:27Speaker 4: your breezeways. They're all in their seats.
- 39:29Speaker 19: Yep.
- 39:30Speaker 4: And they're impacting the game and cheering on their team
- 39:33Speaker 4: in a way that keeps them inspired. And when they
- 39:37Speaker 4: say rise up to the Falcon fans, everybody is in
- 39:41Speaker 4: the breezeway. We'll be back with more of the Sports
- 39:44Speaker 4: Talk show right after this. Don't go away. More of
- 39:48Speaker 4: the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gamby is coming up next.

- 41:36Speaker 4: Zill. Verb. Any action to show love to your mind
- 41:39Speaker 4: on good, bad, or whatever days.
- 41:42Speaker 7: How do you zill?
- 41:42Speaker 15: I zill by baking my grandma's famous carrot cake. The
- 41:46Speaker 15: secret is pineapple.
- 41:47Speaker 11: I zill by touching grass. Literally, my sister and I
- 41:50Speaker 11: lay in the backyard and count clouds.
- 41:52Speaker 4: Lately, I've been zilling by listening to albums all the
- 41:55Speaker 4: way through. I mean, the artist chose that order for
- 41:58Speaker 4: a reason.
- 41:59Speaker 17: How about you?

- 42:03Speaker 23: Brought to you by the Arthur M.

- 42:09Speaker 4: And now, back to the sports jar, Wayne Gandy. It's
- 42:22Speaker 4: Wayne Gandy.
- 42:23Speaker 1: It's Wayne Gandy. It's Wayne Gandy.
- 42:33Speaker 3: Oh, log on so you can see. The Sports J-O-C,
- 42:37Speaker 3: even Big Candy. Welcome back to the Sports Shock Show.
- 42:42Speaker 3: I'm the Sports Shock.
- 42:43Speaker 4: Wayne Gandy. We did find out that there is some
- 42:48Speaker 4: seats at select games where they sell standing kind of
- 42:54Speaker 4: room only seats or standing on, not seats, but the
- 42:58Speaker 4: ability to enter the arena and stand up. And that's
- 43:02Speaker 4: why I said there's massive amounts of people at the
- 43:04Speaker 4: Falcon game. So that means the empty seats were empty
- 43:09Speaker 4: seats then, in a way. Because I can't differentiate who
- 43:13Speaker 4: bought standing only seats and who just didn't go back
- 43:18Speaker 4: to their seats. But I do know that it affects
- 43:23Speaker 4: when you look around the stadium. So I don't know
- 43:27Speaker 4: if those empty seats or they're still standing or they
- 43:29Speaker 4: just were not purchased.
- 43:31Speaker 5: And that's the other part of it, because even though
- 43:34Speaker 5: you have a standing room only section, that doesn't excuse
- 43:38Speaker 5: the 18 or 19.
- 43:40Speaker 12: Rows of empty seats. Well, if the game is not
- 43:43Speaker 12: sold out, that's what they say. The games have to
- 43:46Speaker 12: be sold out. If they do that and you go
- 43:49Speaker 12: to gate two and it's like sports, Jack said, it's
- 43:52Speaker 12: at the sky bridge. the AT & T Perch, the
- 43:55Speaker 12: Budweiser Beer Garden, and the 100 Yard Clubs. All these
- 43:58Speaker 12: are four different areas with inside the bins. And you
- 44:01Speaker 12: can hang out at, like I said.
- 44:05Speaker 1: $ 57.
- 44:07Speaker 5: So, I mean, but all of those people standing in
- 44:11Speaker 5: all of those places in the dome could still make noise.
- 44:14Speaker 5: I didn't understand, first and foremost, the throngs of empty seats.
- 44:19Speaker 5: And then when they were asked to make noise, the
- 44:21Speaker 5: people who were actually in the seats who could have
- 44:24Speaker 5: made noise did not.
- 44:25Speaker 4: Yeah, they're not in rhythm with the in-house announcer at all.
- 44:30Speaker 4: At all.
- 44:31Speaker 5: And I remember saying to the sports jock the day
- 44:35Speaker 5: after the Bears game, I felt bad for the in-house announcer.
- 44:39Speaker 5: Because when they start blaming the lack of enthusiasm on someone,
- 44:44Speaker 5: it'll be him.
- 44:46Speaker 4: You think that's because of those... attractions or whatever, like during,
- 44:50Speaker 4: like in the stadium, during the game, like people will
- 44:54Speaker 4: rather go to, let's check out the Sky Bridge. And
- 44:58Speaker 4: that's what I'm saying. Oh, yeah, because you'll tell their friends, hey,
- 45:00Speaker 4: meet us at the Sky Bridge. We hanging out. Oh, yeah,
- 45:02Speaker 4: let's get a look. It's a tremendous amount of socialization
- 45:07Speaker 4: in Atlanta sports arenas, which really a lot of times–
- 45:17Speaker 4: is why people and other fans seem like they have
- 45:20Speaker 4: taken over because the lack of participation in socialization, people
- 45:26Speaker 4: are not at their seats. They're not play to play.
- 45:29Speaker 4: The Nick fan comes to the Hawk game to watch
- 45:32Speaker 4: the game. The Atlanta Hawk fan comes to watch the
- 45:37Speaker 4: people and based on who's there and how good it
- 45:41Speaker 4: is going in the bar area, we'll participate in that.
- 45:45Speaker 4: Now in You're noticing college arenas, college or more old school,
- 45:51Speaker 4: they haven't built their arenas to socialize. You're either watching,
- 45:58Speaker 4: you know, they don't have a common area that you
- 46:00Speaker 4: can watch. There's just enough room for the concession stands.
- 46:04Speaker 4: The concession stands have 36-inch TVs, so there ain't no
- 46:07Speaker 4: big screen projection where you can just... sit but like
- 46:12Speaker 4: the Benz and State Farm they're heavy and those areas
- 46:18Speaker 4: are always congested and this is the it's like they have.
- 46:23Speaker 5: We're going to have a game in case you want
- 46:27Speaker 5: to go see that but you could just live your
- 46:29Speaker 5: regular weekend life while you're here you can shop you
- 46:33Speaker 5: can and I explain that to people who go to
- 46:36Speaker 5: the Benz or who go to State Farm Arena and
- 46:39Speaker 5: is if you really want to see the game, do
- 46:41Speaker 5: yourself a favor and get all of that stuff out
- 46:43Speaker 5: of the way before or after the game. Basically before,
- 46:47Speaker 5: because if you leave, you'll find yourself walking around in
- 46:51Speaker 5: the breezeway for two hours on some, man, they got
- 46:54Speaker 5: a barbershop in here.
- 46:56Speaker 4: You've never seen that kind of stuff in a sporting
- 46:59Speaker 4: venue before. 29 to 20, excuse me, the Falcons did
- 47:01Speaker 4: beat the 49ers who came into the game undefeated. So
- 47:09Speaker 4: now they're six and one. The Falcons are three and
- 47:13Speaker 4: four 49ers. As we have talked about, the one thing
- 47:17Speaker 4: about them, they're always missing four or five pieces. In
- 47:23Speaker 4: this game, it was the same way. No Mike Evans,
- 47:26Speaker 4: no Depot Samuel. Did they have any receivers? No. They
- 47:33Speaker 4: threw the ball to George Kittle. And number 17, like
- 47:40Speaker 4: it was, you could tell, it wasn't a very broad
- 47:44Speaker 4: spectrum of who they were going to get the ball to.
- 47:48Speaker 4: And they just found themselves in a game where they
- 47:50Speaker 4: were short-handed. And teams find themselves there. Every, you know,
- 47:55Speaker 4: that's where the backup, that's where you hope that another
- 47:59Speaker 4: part of the team can make up for that lack.
- 48:03Speaker 4: I know two weeks ago, the Steelers had to go
- 48:07Speaker 4: to Tampa Bay and try to beat them with two
- 48:10Speaker 4: of their six receivers. They put a bunch of tight
- 48:13Speaker 4: ends out there and try to win. So you find
- 48:16Speaker 4: yourself where the 49ers are. So, you know, they're not
- 48:19Speaker 4: going to use that as an excuse. They went on
- 48:22Speaker 4: the road. They couldn't get through with that little amount,
- 48:28Speaker 4: especially in the receiving core. So Falcons knocking them from
- 48:32Speaker 4: the unbeaten. to improve their record to 3-4. The Minnesota
- 48:37Speaker 4: Vikings are 6-0. I didn't know that until yesterday. Yeah,
- 48:46Speaker 4: they had the– it was their bye this week. I
- 48:48Speaker 4: know Jordan Jefferson plays for them and Kyler Murray.
- 48:54Speaker 5: And you know why they're 6-0? It's because nobody is
- 48:58Speaker 5: expecting it.
- 48:59Speaker 4: They're just like you.
- 49:00Speaker 5: Everybody's on some Minnesota who, and then they show up
- 49:03Speaker 5: and they put a belt to booty and then everybody
- 49:07Speaker 5: started going that Minnesota. And now here they are. Are
- 49:10Speaker 5: they the only undefeating team left in the NFL?
- 49:14Speaker 4: Yes. And it's with Lou Munchichi.
- 49:17Speaker 7: Kyler Murray. Kyler Murray, who missed like the first... three games.
- 49:20Speaker 4: And then he came back. Who did they have out there?
- 49:23Speaker 7: Carson Wentz.
- 49:23Speaker 4: Carson Wentz. And, well, they had McCarthy, but then they
- 49:29Speaker 4: traded him. Yeah. So the Vikings beating the Colts 16
- 49:35Speaker 4: to 10. Speaking of J.J. McCarthy, he did lead the Giants.
- 49:40Speaker 4: To victory, they decided to switch from Jameis Winston to J.J.
- 49:44Speaker 7: McCarthy.
- 49:46Speaker 4: Giants winning 27-21 down in Houston. Houston still sputtering from
- 49:52Speaker 4: what people thought they were going to be. I remember
- 49:55Speaker 4: two years ago with C.J. winning, with Ricky especially. This
- 49:59Speaker 4: is third year, correct?
- 50:01Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 50:01Speaker 4: Yes.
- 50:01Speaker 7: Year four.
- 50:02Speaker 4: It's year four for Stroud.
- 50:03Speaker 7: Okay. Well, going in is fourth, yeah. Finish in third.
- 50:06Speaker 19: Okay.
- 50:08Speaker 12: No, this will be his fourth year. This is currently
- 50:10Speaker 12: year four. Yeah, this is year four, yeah. He just
- 50:14Speaker 12: finished his third going into his fourth.
- 50:17Speaker 7: Well, he would have to have finished his third.
- 50:19Speaker 4: Sir, don't let it happen to you. Don't let it
- 50:20Speaker 4: happen to you.
- 50:21Speaker 7: Don't let it happen to you.
- 50:23Speaker 4: See, that's what I'm saying.
- 50:23Speaker 5: You don't even know it's happening. You don't even know
- 50:26Speaker 5: it's happening. It'd just be that ding, ding. And you
- 50:30Speaker 5: start going, he did nine before you know it.
- 50:33Speaker 4: We there. But the Giants, J.J. McCarthy playing a big
- 50:38Speaker 4: boy ball. Remember J.J. Hyde, he was supposed to do
- 50:42Speaker 4: this for the Vikings. And sometimes this is a wake
- 50:47Speaker 4: up call when you see how fast this is a business.
- 50:50Speaker 4: And it's not like college where they send you to
- 50:52Speaker 4: the bench for a day and come back. And the pros,
- 50:55Speaker 4: they just get rid of you. I'm in my third city.
- 50:58Speaker 4: I might need to lock in. Might need to get
- 51:00Speaker 4: into it. I need to lock in. I keep moving.
- 51:06Speaker 4: One more and we don't have to move home. I'm
- 51:08Speaker 4: saying I got storage units all over the country. So
- 51:12Speaker 4: we'll be back with more of the Sports Jock Show
- 51:13Speaker 4: right after this. Don't go away.
- 51:27Speaker 19: More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gamby is
- 51:30Speaker 19: coming up next.
- 51:32Speaker 13: You wanted to be cool, which led you to smoking,
- 51:35Speaker 13: which led to a pack a day. Then you met
- 51:38Speaker 13: that special someone, which led to starting a life with them,
- 51:42Speaker 13: which led to wanting to live longer, which led to quitting.
- 51:47Speaker 13: Then you heard you may be at risk for lung cancer,
- 51:50Speaker 13: which led you to getting a low-dose CT scan. If
- 51:53Speaker 13: you smoked, get scanned. Talk to your doctor and learn

- 52:07Speaker 24: through a tube because she's congested.
- 52:10Speaker 4: Man, that's love.
- 52:11Speaker 24: And if you love her that much, love her enough
- 52:13Speaker 24: to make sure she's buckled in the right car seat.

- 52:48Speaker 4: And now, back to the sports jar, Wayne Gandy. Center Court.
- 52:55Speaker 4: On sports, news, gossip, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Yo,
- 53:10Speaker 4: microphone check, one, two, what is this? The five foot
- 53:14Speaker 4: assassin with the roughneck business. I float like gravity, never
- 53:17Speaker 4: had a cavity, got more raw. Welcome back to the
- 53:21Speaker 4: Sports Shock Show. I'm the Sports Shock Wayne Candy.
- 53:24Speaker 1: But Kenny, our.
- 53:25Speaker 4: Online listeners have hit us up with a couple of comments.
- 53:29Speaker 4: Let me know what they've said about the bad producer.
- 53:33Speaker 5: No, they are unwilling to address the bad producer this morning.
- 53:37Speaker 5: They heard the comment about silence and how detrimental it
- 53:42Speaker 5: is to your psyche. So they're hoping that this damages him.
- 53:45Speaker 5: They don't want to say anything about him. But they
- 53:48Speaker 5: have been following us, our loyal online listeners online. And
- 53:50Speaker 5: they've been commenting since the top of our elder case.
- 53:53Speaker 5: He said, when it comes to filling the seats in
- 53:56Speaker 5: the bins, he says, yes, the season ticket holders are
- 53:58Speaker 5: flipping their seats.
- 54:00Speaker 4: And then they are.
- 54:01Speaker 5: He made us aware of the fact that we researched
- 54:03Speaker 5: that they do sell standing room only tickets. Uncle Charlie
- 54:07Speaker 5: said he said he won't get any type of losing
- 54:09Speaker 5: therapy on the sports jock show today, University of Michigan.
- 54:13Speaker 4: And I asked him, did they get booed? He said, no,
- 54:15Speaker 4: they did not get booed.
- 54:17Speaker 1: But.
- 54:18Speaker 4: They got cussed out.
- 54:22Speaker 5: And then Elder Casey also feels like if the Falcons
- 54:27Speaker 5: start winning more, then the fans will start to show up.
- 54:34Speaker 5: In my section at the last three home games, we
- 54:36Speaker 5: were outnumbered 6-7-1. I've posted videos saying this at all
- 54:42Speaker 5: three games. You know, when it comes to being in
- 54:44Speaker 5: the seats, that... Other fans come back, and Falcons fans
- 54:49Speaker 5: are kind of sitting there by themselves. And then he said,
- 54:53Speaker 5: don't forget that it's like a club in there. People
- 54:56Speaker 5: come first to hook up. Well, you've been to sporting
- 55:01Speaker 5: events here in Atlanta. It is very much a club atmosphere.
- 55:05Speaker 5: And then Nikki Kemp said BP. I guess that stands
- 55:08Speaker 5: for blood pressure.
- 55:09Speaker 7: You see the hearts?
- 55:10Speaker 4: You see the hearts? I guess that's blood pressure. Making
- 55:13Speaker 4: sure that we all keep check of our blood pressure.
- 55:17Speaker 4: Or blue pill. BP, what is that? British Patrol?
- 55:22Speaker 7: Black Panther.
- 55:23Speaker 4: Black Power. Black Panther. Jalen Brown, Jason Tatum won a
- 55:28Speaker 4: championship with the Boston Celtics, has some great years up there.
- 55:34Speaker 4: There seems to be some issue now from listening to
- 55:39Speaker 4: Jalen Brown. Whatever the media has been reporting on has
- 55:43Speaker 4: a little truth to it because two days ago, When
- 55:48Speaker 4: asked about it, Jason Tatum says there's no beef.
- 55:51Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 55:53Speaker 4: But that same night interviewed Jalen Brown, who's now with
- 55:57Speaker 4: the Sixers, says there's no beef, but there's some lamb
- 56:01Speaker 4: chops and gravy. Lamb chops and gravy, though. Which sounds
- 56:05Speaker 4: like protect yourself at all times to me.
- 56:07Speaker 9: No beef.
- 56:07Speaker 4: What's green on the plate? I'm saying that. But no,
- 56:12Speaker 4: but there is some lamb chop.
- 56:13Speaker 1: No.
- 56:14Speaker 4: So we ain't reached beef. Because, you know, beef means
- 56:18Speaker 4: you need a GAC. Isn't that what the song said
- 56:21Speaker 4: to go to sleep? Yeah. What beef? He said, what beef?
- 56:24Speaker 4: Make your enemies start your jeep. He said, ain't no beef, though.
- 56:28Speaker 4: But at least protect yourself at all times.
- 56:31Speaker 5: I'm saying, you couldn't come within arm's length of me,
- 56:34Speaker 5: Jalen Brown, and me not be defensive.
- 56:37Speaker 4: I'm sorry.
- 56:38Speaker 5: Especially after Jason Tatum got on a press conference.
- 56:42Speaker 12: So I guess Brown is going to be the new
- 56:45Speaker 12: Boston Strangler since he's in a 76ers uniform.
- 56:49Speaker 7: I'm looking forward to that.
- 56:51Speaker 4: He's going to be the Boston Strangler. Well, that's a reference.
- 56:55Speaker 12: When the 76ers played the Celtics years ago, one of
- 56:59Speaker 12: the players, he was beating the Celtics real bad. The
- 57:04Speaker 12: wrong story has it that Danny Ains, Larry Bird told
- 57:07Speaker 12: Danny Ains to talk junk to him, and he said, no,
- 57:09Speaker 12: they'll just make him even a better player.
- 57:12Speaker 7: I'm not going to do that. And they started calling
- 57:14Speaker 7: him the Boston Strangler after that.
- 57:16Speaker 4: No, it was in the 80s?
- 57:17Speaker 7: No, Andrew Toney when he played for us.
- 57:21Speaker 4: If it was Bird and Ainge, it was the 80s. Yeah,
- 57:23Speaker 4: it was Andrew Toney when he played with them. And
- 57:26Speaker 4: Danny Bird, I mean, Larry Bird was like, can you
- 57:29Speaker 4: go stop him? He's just like a rookie or whatever.
- 57:31Speaker 4: And Danny Ainge said, the more I talk to him,
- 57:33Speaker 4: the better. It just fires him up.
- 57:35Speaker 12: The more junk you talk to him, and they just
- 57:37Speaker 12: started calling him the Boston Strangler.
- 57:39Speaker 4: Okay, well, we're going to call him Jalen Brown. And
- 57:42Speaker 4: we're going to call him Jason Tatum. And he still
- 57:44Speaker 4: couldn't get within arm's length of me without me being defensive.
- 57:48Speaker 4: Or call him Lamb Chop or something.
- 57:50Speaker 7: Well, we can call him Lamb Chop.
- 57:51Speaker 4: But there's no beef, though.
- 57:52Speaker 7: Okay.
- 57:53Speaker 4: I just want to make sure you understand.
- 57:55Speaker 7: Lamb Chops are not beef.
- 57:56Speaker 4: But if you catch a two-piece in the breezeway, that's
- 58:00Speaker 4: still meat. Now, the characters from at least, I don't
- 58:03Speaker 4: know these gentlemen personally, only watched them on TV, it
- 58:06Speaker 4: seems that... Jason Tatum has a sentiment of more, by
- 58:17Speaker 4: the book, professionalism. Yes. Straight line kind of dealing political.
- 58:25Speaker 4: The PC answer. Regardless of how he might feel, he's
- 58:30Speaker 4: just going to toe the line on the subject. He's
- 58:33Speaker 4: following what Kobe would do. Yeah, or Michael Jordan. Michael
- 58:39Speaker 4: Jordan didn't weigh in. He didn't weigh in on any
- 58:43Speaker 4: of what he feels. I'm quite sure Mike has a
- 58:45Speaker 4: million feelings about a bunch of things, but Jason Tatum,
- 58:50Speaker 4: that's straight and narrow. I'm going to answer it the way,
- 58:53Speaker 4: probably regurgitate whatever coach said about it, not try to
- 58:58Speaker 4: throw anybody under the bus kind of mindset. Jalen Brown,
- 59:03Speaker 4: for what he has displayed, he has a little Nation
- 59:08Speaker 4: of Islam. He has a little socialism approach. He has
- 59:11Speaker 4: a little angry black man. He believes he's the smartest guy.
- 59:21Speaker 4: He believes he's the smartest. He's from Atlanta. It makes sense.
- 59:25Speaker 4: It makes sense. Reports even came out about like how
- 59:28Speaker 4: he questioned every thing anybody ever did while he was
- 59:33Speaker 4: at Boston. Why we got to leave at two o'clock?
- 59:36Speaker 4: Why we got to have turkey sandwiches? Like everything was.
- 59:40Speaker 4: He the best dresser on the team. He was everything.
- 59:42Speaker 4: He's Atlanta. So it seems this, how the polar opposites are,
- 59:49Speaker 4: sometimes can clash, even though, because you want, and it
- 59:53Speaker 4: seems that maybe he felt like in his contract, in his,
- 59:58Speaker 4: however they were dealing with him, he might have been
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: expecting Jason Tatum to drop the PC vibe and choose him.
- 1:00:08Speaker 5: He said he felt like in the events that transpired
- 1:00:12Speaker 5: up to his trading, Jason Tatum was somewhat complicit in,
- 1:00:19Speaker 5: if not complicit uh neutral in the situation he didn't
- 1:00:25Speaker 5: advocate for Jalen Brown he was kind.
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: Of like well if y'all got to do that you
- 1:00:30Speaker 4: just do what you got to do and to Jalen
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: we'll go to break come back and talk about it
- 1:00:33Speaker 4: and to Jalen Brown not doing anything came off as
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: you're doing something yeah you complicit I mean if you're
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: not with me you against me right No, they just
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: paying me $ 50 million to shoot, man.
- 1:00:46Speaker 5: I would have been quiet, too. I would have been quiet, too.
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: I would have been like, look, mama, you just got.
- 1:00:51Speaker 7: To go to Philadelphia.
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: I don't know why you tripping. We'll be back. More
- 1:00:56Speaker 4: of the Sports Talk show right after this. Don't go away.
- 1:01:13Speaker 19: More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gamby is
- 1:01:16Speaker 19: coming up next.
- 1:01:19Speaker 4: I actually drive better when I'm high.
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: If anything, I'm more careful.
- 1:01:23Speaker 14: That's probably what the driver who killed a four-year-old told himself.
- 1:01:26Speaker 14: And now he's in prison. If you feel different, you
- 1:01:29Speaker 14: drive different. Don't drive high. Brought to you by NHTSA
- 1:01:32Speaker 14: and the Ad Council.
- 1:01:36Speaker 11: Ever tried balancing a dozen eggs in one hand while
- 1:01:39Speaker 11: hopping on one foot? Or maybe juggling cats while riding
- 1:01:42Speaker 11: the unicycle. Sounds ridiculous, right?
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: But guess what?
- 1:01:46Speaker 11: That's exactly what texting while driving is like. Your human
- 1:01:49Speaker 11: brain only has the capacity to focus on one thing
- 1:01:52Speaker 11: at a time. So when you're behind the wheel, give
- 1:01:54Speaker 11: driving your undivided attention.
- 1:01:56Speaker 10: Don't drive distracted. A message brought to you by the
- 1:01:59Speaker 10: National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Project Yellow Light, and the
- 1:02:03Speaker 10: Ad Council.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: Don't drive distracted. Enough is enough. I have had it.
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: Why so serious?
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: And we hold the world ransom for Wayne Gandy.
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: Excuse me while I whip this out. Broadcasting live in Atlanta, Georgia. This,
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: this is the Sports Chalk Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: You may build me up.
- 1:02:31Speaker 15: Build me up, yeah.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: Can you build me up, yeah? But you won't break
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: me down. I've come too far.
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: I've come too.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: Far, yeah. Yeah, I've come too far, yeah. So just
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: throw in the towel.
- 1:02:41Speaker 25: It's a new day.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: I'm a, I'm a doobie.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna go all the way.
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: You may build me up. Welcome back to the Sports
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: Talk Show. I'm the Sports Talk Wayne Gandy. Good morning
- 1:02:52Speaker 4: to you out there in listening land Monday. So it
- 1:02:56Speaker 4: brings us Monday Night Football. Dallas.
- 1:03:04Speaker 5: Eagles.
- 1:03:07Speaker 4: Not sure what we're going to get tonight. Especially without
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: Jalen Hurts. The way the Cowboys are playing. Who's the
- 1:03:14Speaker 4: starting quarterback for the Eagles?
- 1:03:16Speaker 7: Tanner McKee. Who was that?
- 1:03:20Speaker 4: Don't play. Don't play in his face. Stop playing. No,
- 1:03:24Speaker 4: I've never. What college? He went to Stanford.
- 1:03:28Speaker 8: Oh.
- 1:03:28Speaker 4: This is actually. He a rookie?
- 1:03:30Speaker 7: This is actually his fourth year. Hannah McKee. He was
- 1:03:33Speaker 7: the third guy when the Eagles won the Super Bowl.
- 1:03:36Speaker 7: He was the third string quarterback. Okay.
- 1:03:38Speaker 4: He'll be starting tonight against Dak Prescott in that weak
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: defense that Dallas puts out there. And some of that.
- 1:03:45Speaker 4: You think I'm taking you into the locker room? I'm
- 1:03:48Speaker 4: taking you into the mindset. A lot of offensive teams,
- 1:03:55Speaker 4: even in baseball and basketball, when you build on the
- 1:04:01Speaker 4: premise that, oh, we're going to win from this side,
- 1:04:05Speaker 4: you don't hold the defenses accountable.
- 1:04:07Speaker 7: You make them feel like, eh, it's enough. Mm-hmm.
- 1:04:12Speaker 4: Whereas some teams, they play from a defensive standpoint, where
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: the defense is supposed to carry, a la the Steelers.
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: Their whole thing is, okay, just don't lose the game.
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: We'll do the rest. We'll keep the score low. Yeah,
- 1:04:30Speaker 4: you just don't lose the game. And that's their premise.
- 1:04:34Speaker 4: The Ravens won Super Bowls doing that. Like some teams,
- 1:04:37Speaker 4: the Bear, the great Bear teams from the Bay. Monsters
- 1:04:40Speaker 4: of the Midway. It was a defense. So it's based
- 1:04:42Speaker 4: on and sometimes you don't put enough pressure on the
- 1:04:44Speaker 4: other side of the ball. But the Cowboys, Eagles tonight.
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: The Valkyries hosting the Dream tonight as well. That's game five,
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: which sets up for a big game six here in
- 1:04:57Speaker 4: Atlanta on Thursday. But we don't know. a time or venue,
- 1:05:02Speaker 4: at least last time I checked. And game three of,
- 1:05:09Speaker 4: was it game three or game five? Which game we on?
- 1:05:11Speaker 4: World Series?
- 1:05:12Speaker 7: Three. Game three. Yeah, game three.
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: World Series, the Brewers and the Tampa Bay Rays.
- 1:05:20Speaker 7: How much have you watched of this series? I watched.
- 1:05:24Speaker 4: No, no, no, no, no.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: No, no.
- 1:05:27Speaker 7: I watched game two. Okay.
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: I watched none. Have you caught any Comanche?
- 1:05:34Speaker 11: No, I haven't.
- 1:05:34Speaker 7: And I haven't caught any either. And I actually, I'm
- 1:05:38Speaker 7: going to be honest, other than the pitcher.
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: For Mizroski, I don't know another player in this series.
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: And something I observed. All I know is he pitched
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: game one.
- 1:05:51Speaker 5: I don't think they have direct flights to Tampa Bay
- 1:05:55Speaker 5: from Chicago. I performed in Michigan over the weekend and
- 1:05:59Speaker 5: flew in and out of O'Hare, and there were just
- 1:06:02Speaker 5: tons of Milwaukee Brewers fans flying into Atlanta. And I
- 1:06:06Speaker 5: was like, we not playing. But then I thought connecting
- 1:06:10Speaker 5: flights to Tampa. So they must not have a direct
- 1:06:13Speaker 5: flight from Chicago to Tampa.
- 1:06:16Speaker 4: Probably don't. Yeah, that seems like a connecting thing. Yeah,
- 1:06:19Speaker 4: because I think Tampa is a region– regional tampa and
- 1:06:25Speaker 4: orland you know being from down there most of their
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: flights come through atlanta unless they're going like international international
- 1:06:34Speaker 4: or going south miami but most times coming they might
- 1:06:38Speaker 4: have one flight right that can take you from orlando
- 1:06:41Speaker 4: to la with no stops.
- 1:06:44Speaker 5: I tell you what, the Milwaukee fans I ran into
- 1:06:47Speaker 5: ain't missed a game in they life. They were walking
- 1:06:49Speaker 5: with they chest out yesterday. Well, they're up 2-0 in
- 1:06:51Speaker 5: the series. Yeah, they feel like this is their year.
- 1:06:53Speaker 4: Tropicana Field, is that still the name of their field
- 1:06:55Speaker 4: down there in Tampa? I think so.
- 1:06:59Speaker 5: That's how much their market is taking over, that we
- 1:07:02Speaker 5: don't even know the name of their stadium.
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: Well, they had played in a minor league park the
- 1:07:05Speaker 4: year before because the hurricane took off the roof. Took
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: the roof off their venue. We love talking about Jason Tatum.
- 1:07:14Speaker 4: And Jalen Brown, where there's no beef. These two teammates
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: that was matched up. And you always, if you watch basketball,
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: then you pay enough attention to it. You always knew
- 1:07:24Speaker 4: that there was a little tension between these two. Not
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: because of personalities, because they both, they're basically the same player.
- 1:07:38Speaker 4: And they're both like big, Two men. They're like that,
- 1:07:42Speaker 4: but hybrid two, three. And they played well because, you know, how,
- 1:07:48Speaker 4: as they say, positionless football. Hold on. Positionless basketball has
- 1:07:58Speaker 4: come along where you can put four of the same
- 1:08:01Speaker 4: type guys out on the court and get away with it.
- 1:08:06Speaker 4: But these two guys around the same age, same year,
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: Were they drafted the same year or one after the other?
- 1:08:14Speaker 4: Jalen Brown was drafted the year before.
- 1:08:16Speaker 7: Okay.
- 1:08:18Speaker 4: So it's been that way for a while. I was
- 1:08:20Speaker 4: talking about their personalities as far as Jalen Brown being
- 1:08:23Speaker 4: a little more radical, Jason Tatum being more of a
- 1:08:27Speaker 4: guy that's just going to total line. That is a thing.
- 1:08:32Speaker 4: I know everybody thinks that everybody, every superstar, that's not true.
- 1:08:38Speaker 4: There's a ton of superstars that just don't really have
- 1:08:45Speaker 4: anything to say. Lamar Jackson, no one's bigger as far
- 1:08:51Speaker 4: as performing, nobody in the NFL, but he just doesn't have,
- 1:08:55Speaker 4: he's not going to weigh in on some crisis. without
- 1:09:01Speaker 4: you poking a mic. He's not looking for that kind
- 1:09:03Speaker 4: of thing. I played with a guy that the producer loves,
- 1:09:08Speaker 4: Michael Vick. Mike Vick was just not that personality. That's
- 1:09:12Speaker 4: why for me to see him handling and doing the
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: job he's been doing in TV is is a surprise.
- 1:09:18Speaker 4: It's not that they don't have anything to say. They
- 1:09:20Speaker 4: just are not those vocal. On what you think I
- 1:09:25Speaker 4: need to talk on kind of ways.
- 1:09:27Speaker 5: You want to read the comment that elder Casey posted
- 1:09:30Speaker 5: bad producer.
- 1:09:30Speaker 4: Cause you agreed with it when it came to Jason Tatum.
- 1:09:34Speaker 4: But we did have a comment and this is where,
- 1:09:36Speaker 4: why the Jason Tatum's a lot of times in our
- 1:09:39Speaker 4: society stay out of things because his neutrality.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: And just him being neutral, he hasn't said anything to offend,
- 1:09:53Speaker 4: gets him labeled by the bad producer. And who had
- 1:09:57Speaker 4: that comment? You right there, bad. Why you keep looking
- 1:09:59Speaker 4: over there?
- 1:10:00Speaker 12: Elder Casey, my good Lionel Falcon fan.
- 1:10:04Speaker 7: Well, he's a house ninja. That's what, you know.
- 1:10:06Speaker 4: I feel like 95% of your agreement comes from that
- 1:10:10Speaker 4: he went to Duke.
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: No. No.
- 1:10:13Speaker 4: No, you can say– No, let him finish. Complete your thoughts, sir. No,
- 1:10:17Speaker 4: that's nothing to do with it. I'm saying complete your thoughts.
- 1:10:20Speaker 12: No, he said– my thing is with Jason Tatum is
- 1:10:25Speaker 12: he's a great player.
- 1:10:26Speaker 7: He's a good player.
- 1:10:27Speaker 12: He just– I don't think that he– He wants to be,
- 1:10:33Speaker 12: and that's nothing wrong, the admiration for Kobe, wanting to
- 1:10:36Speaker 12: be Kobe.
- 1:10:36Speaker 7: He said Kobe's his goat in his eye. I admire that.
- 1:10:40Speaker 12: And he plays, like you said, he plays a company role,
- 1:10:43Speaker 12: but it's all fictitious to me with him. And that's
- 1:10:48Speaker 12: why I respect Jalen Brown on this whole situation.
- 1:10:51Speaker 4: Well, hold on. What makes him, because we just said
- 1:10:55Speaker 4: he doesn't say anything, So how has he said something
- 1:10:59Speaker 4: that would make him fictitional?
- 1:11:05Speaker 5: You're saying he doesn't say anything in public, and your
- 1:11:08Speaker 5: problem with that is?
- 1:11:09Speaker 12: Well, I mean, you could tell from the beginning. That
- 1:11:12Speaker 12: was a problem with those two. And even with them winning.
- 1:11:15Speaker 4: Stop. Even with them winning. No, I'm not saying with them, sir.
- 1:11:18Speaker 12: I'm just saying that's where the problem is. You got
- 1:11:23Speaker 12: a player in that manner. I just couldn't understand why
- 1:11:25Speaker 12: those two couldn't get along. And you start to look
- 1:11:28Speaker 12: at it more and more. And to me, I'm on
- 1:11:30Speaker 12: the outside looking in. I thought it was more of
- 1:11:33Speaker 12: Tatum than Jason Brown. But everybody has their own opinion.
- 1:11:37Speaker 5: And to the specific issue of calling him a house
- 1:11:41Speaker 5: ninja and his not speaking up in public, I again ask,
- 1:11:46Speaker 5: what upsets you about his not speaking up in public? Specifically,
- 1:11:54Speaker 5: what upsets you about that? That he doesn't say stuff
- 1:11:57Speaker 5: about stuff that you think he should? No, I didn't
- 1:12:00Speaker 5: say him not speaking. I'm saying you could tell.
- 1:12:03Speaker 12: That he says things behind the scenes, but when he's
- 1:12:07Speaker 12: in front of the cameras, oh, yeah, I'm fine with Jalen.
- 1:12:09Speaker 7: I'm fine with Brown. I'm cool.
- 1:12:11Speaker 12: But as soon as the camera and the lights go off,
- 1:12:14Speaker 12: you can tell.
- 1:12:15Speaker 4: So you would like him. You need to believe that
- 1:12:18Speaker 4: behind Jalen Brown's back, he says off-color things, and you
- 1:12:24Speaker 4: need him to. For you to believe that he is
- 1:12:28Speaker 4: not a house man. Because I'm talking, sir.
- 1:12:31Speaker 7: Okay.
- 1:12:32Speaker 4: I hadn't even finished asking you the question. Okay, go ahead.
- 1:12:34Speaker 7: I was ready for you.
- 1:12:36Speaker 4: You can't. How can you be ready? Jason Tatum likes black. Go.
- 1:12:48Speaker 7: He likes black.
- 1:12:49Speaker 4: I thought you said you was ready for me. No, look.
- 1:12:54Speaker 4: You see, you can't be ready for something you haven't heard.
- 1:13:00Speaker 4: That went right over your head, didn't it?
- 1:13:02Speaker 7: It did.
- 1:13:03Speaker 4: It did go over his head. So, because Jason Tatum
- 1:13:08Speaker 4: won't elaborate, and you think, because from what you see
- 1:13:11Speaker 4: from TV, he has an issue. He should come out
- 1:13:16Speaker 4: and say it about Jalen Brown on air. And he
- 1:13:21Speaker 4: is a houseman because he tries to keep down the
- 1:13:26Speaker 4: outside people in our business. Like whatever we have an
- 1:13:30Speaker 4: issue with, I need to go tell you. And if
- 1:13:35Speaker 4: I tell you, then I'm not a houseman. And then
- 1:13:39Speaker 4: speaking up in public again. So what makes me a houseman?
- 1:13:43Speaker 4: Because that's a hard word for Elder Casey and yourself.
- 1:13:48Speaker 4: To throw on a man because he just doesn't want
- 1:13:51Speaker 4: to fight.
- 1:13:53Speaker 12: I mean, he wants to beat Kobe. Kobe would tell you, hey, man,
- 1:13:56Speaker 12: you ain't worth it. You can't wear my shoes.
- 1:13:58Speaker 4: Wait, wait, wait, let me say this. Kobe would tell him,
- 1:14:01Speaker 4: but he hides behind it.
- 1:14:04Speaker 5: You have said several times that Jason Taysom wants to
- 1:14:07Speaker 5: beat Kobe Bryant so bad in a critical way. Who
- 1:14:11Speaker 5: else would a basketball player from his generation want to be?
- 1:14:15Speaker 5: If you were an aspiring champion, who would you want
- 1:14:18Speaker 5: to emulate? This is by many people's metric, the GOAT.
- 1:14:24Speaker 5: And he just wants to be in that.
- 1:14:27Speaker 4: We got to go to break, Greg. You got to
- 1:14:29Speaker 4: keep your clock. Because the Bad Producer will put you
- 1:14:32Speaker 4: to sleep. The one thing, we'll do the birthdays and
- 1:14:35Speaker 4: then we'll close this out. I would like to ask
- 1:14:37Speaker 4: Greg and Big Kenny, because they are a little more
- 1:14:39Speaker 4: official on this, because the Bad Producer will just speak
- 1:14:43Speaker 4: off emotion. I'm as old as the bad producer. I
- 1:14:46Speaker 4: don't remember Kobe Bryant saying nothing.
- 1:14:51Speaker 7: On a personal level. Except for when.
- 1:14:55Speaker 4: So maybe I missed it, and I trust you two
- 1:14:57Speaker 4: to remind me when he actually said something. About personal issues, yeah.
- 1:15:04Speaker 4: That was the only time. We'll be back. More of
- 1:15:06Speaker 4: the Sports Jock Show right after this. So we left
- 1:15:10Speaker 4: Brooklyn and we made big tracks.
- 1:15:12Speaker 7: Drove down the belt, got on the conduit. Came to

- 1:19:50Speaker 4: I'll go with America's Sweetheart.
- 1:19:54Speaker 7: Julie Roberts.
- 1:19:55Speaker 4: Okay, okay, okay. Ain't nothing wrong with that. You can
- 1:19:58Speaker 4: say that loud and proud. He's an American sweetheart. Cobb
- 1:20:02Speaker 4: County's on.
- 1:20:02Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:20:03Speaker 4: Cobb County's on. Take one for the flag. Yeah, there
- 1:20:07Speaker 4: we go. We will, we will. There we go, our
- 1:20:11Speaker 4: own little Georgia peach. There we go, Comanche Greg. I
- 1:20:14Speaker 4: ain't disappointed in you.
- 1:20:16Speaker 10: Hey.
- 1:20:19Speaker 7: That's what they call it.
- 1:20:20Speaker 4: Okay. Hey, there you go. Yeah, one of the biggest
- 1:20:22Speaker 4: actresses of the 90s, if not the biggest actress of
- 1:20:26Speaker 4: the 90s, was Julia Roberts. Campbell High School alumni. Yeah,
- 1:20:30Speaker 4: so big. We were talking about, just to put a
- 1:20:33Speaker 4: bow on that, Jason Tatum, Jalen Brown, what is not beef,
- 1:20:38Speaker 4: but is lamb chops with gravy, which I've never had
- 1:20:42Speaker 4: gravy on my lamb chops. I might have to try that,
- 1:20:44Speaker 4: Jalen Brown.
- 1:20:45Speaker 5: I've never had lamb chops, so.
- 1:20:48Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 1:20:49Speaker 4: Yeah, you're a communist. Again?
- 1:20:53Speaker 5: Why do people go with that when they don't eat
- 1:20:55Speaker 5: certain meat? I have been called a communist several times.
- 1:20:58Speaker 5: You don't eat beef and pork. You's a communist.
- 1:21:00Speaker 4: You got to be. You got to be working for
- 1:21:02Speaker 4: the Russians. I'm going to start examining it. That's how
- 1:21:05Speaker 4: we find out. You know, there's always one detector in
- 1:21:08Speaker 4: the movie. It lets you know that somebody is an
- 1:21:11Speaker 4: alien or a shapeshifter. It's always something that they find.
- 1:21:17Speaker 4: Their eyes blink together.
- 1:21:20Speaker 5: Elder Casey wanted us to make it known that he
- 1:21:22Speaker 5: was just participating in the conversation and asking a question.
- 1:21:25Speaker 5: based in context on their personalities, would that be something
- 1:21:29Speaker 5: that people would project onto Jason Tatum?
- 1:21:32Speaker 7: Oh, the bad producer read it as though it was bad.
- 1:21:35Speaker 4: No, no, no.
- 1:21:35Speaker 7: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
- 1:21:36Speaker 4: He didn't have a question.
- 1:21:37Speaker 5: And then when he tried to clarify it, Bad producer
- 1:21:41Speaker 5: said to him, LOL, no, dog. Like he wasn't going
- 1:21:45Speaker 5: to clear it up for him. He wanted him to
- 1:21:47Speaker 5: stay in the space with him. No, it wasn't a question.
- 1:21:50Speaker 5: Does this look like a question?
- 1:21:51Speaker 12: He just wrote House Ninja and wrote a bunch of
- 1:21:54Speaker 12: question marks, and then he wants to turn around.
- 1:21:56Speaker 4: The question marks means a question. A question is, hey,
- 1:22:00Speaker 4: does you think he's a House Ninja? He just wrote
- 1:22:04Speaker 4: House Ninja. No, sir.
- 1:22:07Speaker 7: If he put question marks behind it, it means that
- 1:22:09Speaker 7: he's asking a question. That's a cop-out way.
- 1:22:11Speaker 4: No. No, if Greg takes me noon with question marks
- 1:22:16Speaker 4: behind it, I would expect that he's asking, questioning, is
- 1:22:20Speaker 4: it noon? Sir. No, no, no. And what you're doing
- 1:22:24Speaker 4: is called snitching?
- 1:22:26Speaker 7: I ain't snitching.
- 1:22:27Speaker 4: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. We
- 1:22:29Speaker 4: have this conversation. I'm snitching to you. Okay, let's call
- 1:22:33Speaker 4: it that. He says, I stand 10 toes down. This
- 1:22:36Speaker 4: is what Elder K said. I stand 10 toes down.
- 1:22:38Speaker 4: Whatever I can say once, I can say twice.
- 1:22:40Speaker 12: But then he says, based on comparisons between the two,
- 1:22:44Speaker 12: I think House versus Field.
- 1:22:47Speaker 5: You said, and this is the problem, based on comparison
- 1:22:52Speaker 5: between the two, I think House versus Field. when the
- 1:22:57Speaker 5: complete comedy is based on comparison between the two in commas, according,
- 1:23:06Speaker 5: not commas, parentheses, thank you, according to how the conversation
- 1:23:13Speaker 5: was going.
- 1:23:15Speaker 4: That's full context. But when you told the word house
- 1:23:18Speaker 4: ninja out there, that means you only say according to
- 1:23:21Speaker 4: how the conversation was going. Well, I'm sorry, Elder Casey,
- 1:23:27Speaker 4: that I got the wrong information and put it on
- 1:23:32Speaker 4: you that it was something you were saying. It was
- 1:23:34Speaker 4: something that you were asking. In this case, no, I
- 1:23:39Speaker 4: don't think it is that Jason Tatum I think that
- 1:23:44Speaker 4: Jason Tatum is just a neutral personality. If he's sticking
- 1:23:49Speaker 4: to the strip, as I said, do y'all remember anything
- 1:23:51Speaker 4: Kobe said in his career? He wasn't that kind of person.
- 1:23:55Speaker 4: He kept everything on basketball.
- 1:23:57Speaker 12: He told his teammates they ain't got enough accolades to
- 1:24:00Speaker 12: speak to him at one time.
- 1:24:01Speaker 4: That's within the team. He blamed it on Powell when
- 1:24:05Speaker 4: they were defensive.
- 1:24:06Speaker 7: That was public. These are things that he said in public.
- 1:24:09Speaker 7: They don't have enough accolades.
- 1:24:11Speaker 4: He said that to his team. I was talking about
- 1:24:13Speaker 4: in public on TV. But those things. He would say
- 1:24:16Speaker 4: those things to his teammates. But it's known that he said.
- 1:24:19Speaker 7: Yeah, it's known.
- 1:24:20Speaker 4: All right. He's not. I'm talking about bashing someone like
- 1:24:24Speaker 4: bashing his teammates or whatever in the media. I'm talking
- 1:24:26Speaker 4: about in the media, not what I was saying.
- 1:24:28Speaker 16: Wait, wait, wait.
- 1:24:28Speaker 7: I'm saying now.
- 1:24:29Speaker 5: Because what you're talking about, and I'm asking this as
- 1:24:32Speaker 5: a question so that I don't get put out there
- 1:24:34Speaker 5: like you just did, Elton Casey.
- 1:24:36Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:24:37Speaker 5: I'm asking as a question, was this something that he
- 1:24:40Speaker 5: said and someone leaked to the media?
- 1:24:44Speaker 4: As far as Jason Tatum? No, what Kobe said.
- 1:24:48Speaker 5: Was that something he said in the locker room and
- 1:24:50Speaker 5: somebody leaked that to the media?
- 1:24:52Speaker 4: Yes. Or it was just reported that way. It may
- 1:24:54Speaker 4: not have been a private thing. That's different. That's different.
- 1:24:57Speaker 5: That's different than me sitting on a podium at a
- 1:25:00Speaker 5: press conference and going, yeah, my teammates ain't got to.
- 1:25:04Speaker 5: That's different. That's press conference stuff. And if Kobe's, I've
- 1:25:08Speaker 5: never seen Kobe do that. The only time he did
- 1:25:11Speaker 5: it was when the scrutiny of the world spotlight was
- 1:25:14Speaker 5: on him for being accused of a felony crime that
- 1:25:17Speaker 5: he threw anybody else in basketball in any conversation he
- 1:25:20Speaker 5: ever had with the media. Whenever they criticized him about
- 1:25:23Speaker 5: basketball or concerning basketball, he kept it Kobe because it
- 1:25:27Speaker 5: was always about the Mamba.
- 1:25:29Speaker 12: He never wanted to mention you. They ain't got enough
- 1:25:33Speaker 12: accolades to speak to him. That's just one of the
- 1:25:35Speaker 12: few things there.
- 1:25:37Speaker 4: Yeah, but that's not something I think you're missing what
- 1:25:39Speaker 4: these gentlemen are trying to get you maybe to hear.
- 1:25:41Speaker 4: It's that that was something that Kobe said privately or
- 1:25:47Speaker 4: at practice. We were talking about these two gentlemen and
- 1:25:52Speaker 4: whether somebody was talking out. When Jason Tatum gets to
- 1:25:57Speaker 4: the mic, he toes the line. So he says no beef.
- 1:26:03Speaker 4: No beef. He's just trying to let it go. When
- 1:26:05Speaker 4: Jalen Brown. Jalen Brown said no lamb chops. He's stirring
- 1:26:09Speaker 4: it up. He's stirring the pot. It has to be
- 1:26:11Speaker 4: said that Kobe has said these things. We'll be back
- 1:26:14Speaker 4: with more. Yeah, we didn't say. We did not deny.
- 1:26:18Speaker 4: Now he go with his receipts again. We're not denying
- 1:26:21Speaker 4: that Kobe said these things.
- 1:26:25Speaker 7: Hold the music.
- 1:26:28Speaker 4: Because I just want to go to break on a
- 1:26:31Speaker 4: good vibe. We're not telling you. that Kobe didn't say
- 1:26:37Speaker 4: these things. We were talking about public versus private. You
- 1:26:41Speaker 4: do get that, right?
- 1:26:43Speaker 10: Yes.
- 1:26:44Speaker 7: Okay. Now we can go to break. Thank you.
- 1:26:47Speaker 4: He don't get it for real. He ain't say it
- 1:26:49Speaker 4: enthusiastic enough for me. What you got to say? I
- 1:26:52Speaker 4: say Jesus make the makers out of high regard. And
- 1:26:55Speaker 4: to get down for it nowadays ain't hard. Investing in
- 1:26:58Speaker 4: fantasies and not God. Welcome to reality, sometimes it's hard.
- 1:27:03Speaker 4: Don't go away.
- 1:27:04Speaker 19: More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gamby is
- 1:27:06Speaker 19: coming up next.
- 1:27:10Speaker 6: Choosing to buy a gun was not a decision I
- 1:27:12Speaker 6: took lightly. But with everything going on, I really wanted
- 1:27:15Speaker 6: to feel like I could protect myself. I hadn't thought
- 1:27:18Speaker 6: about the danger of an unlocked gun in my own
- 1:27:20Speaker 6: home until.
- 1:27:21Speaker 25: Mia, where are your napkins?
- 1:27:24Speaker 4: Not that drawer.
- 1:27:25Speaker 25: Unless anyone needs a gun.
- 1:27:30Speaker 6: Now, I always lock my gun to keep everyone safe.
- 1:27:33Speaker 6: Visit nfamilyfire.org to learn how to store your guns more securely.
- 1:27:37Speaker 6: Brought to you by Brady and the Ad Council.
- 1:27:39Speaker 4: All right, son.
- 1:27:40Speaker 15: Time to put out this campfire. Dad, we learned about
- 1:27:42Speaker 15: this in school.
- 1:27:43Speaker 7: Oh, did you now?
- 1:27:44Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:27:45Speaker 15: What's first?
- 1:27:46Speaker 11: Smokey Bear said to.
- 1:27:47Speaker 7: First, drown it with a bucket of water. Then stir
- 1:27:50Speaker 7: it with a shovel.
- 1:27:51Speaker 4: Wow.
- 1:27:51Speaker 15: You sound just like him.
- 1:27:53Speaker 7: Then he said, if it's still warm, then do it again.
- 1:27:57Speaker 7: Where can I learn all this?
- 1:27:58Speaker 4: It's all on SmokeyBear.com with other wildfire prevention tips. Because
- 1:28:03Speaker 4: only you can prevent wildfires.
- 1:28:05Speaker 15: Brought to you by the USDA Forest Service, your state forester,
- 1:28:08Speaker 15: and the Ad Council.
- 1:28:11Speaker 4: And now, back to the sports jar, Wayne Ganty.
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: Players Lounge.
- 1:28:19Speaker 25: You have been given full access to the Players Lounge
- 1:28:22Speaker 25: on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:28:45Speaker 4: Welcome back to the Sports Talk Show. I'm the Sports
- 1:28:48Speaker 4: Talk Wayne Candy. Good morning to y'all out there and listening.
- 1:28:52Speaker 4: Land of the Bears Thursday night beat the Patriots yesterday
- 1:28:59Speaker 4: in Paris. The Steelers doing enough all the way over
- 1:29:03Speaker 4: in Paris. 16-10 over the Houdat Nation, the Saints. This
- 1:29:11Speaker 4: is the first game in Paris for the NFL. I'm
- 1:29:16Speaker 4: quite sure they will make that an annual thing after
- 1:29:18Speaker 4: they run the numbers. the bingos beating the ravens lamar
- 1:29:24Speaker 4: jackson out again uh every time the mars out i'm
- 1:29:28Speaker 4: always trying to remember uh greg has how many years
- 1:29:32Speaker 4: or if any year has lamar played every game for
- 1:29:36Speaker 4: the ravens is has he ever done that i don't
- 1:29:39Speaker 4: think that's ever happened was there uh The only one
- 1:29:44Speaker 4: I could think of that he may have played every
- 1:29:47Speaker 4: game is his first full year as a starter. He
- 1:29:49Speaker 4: may have missed one game because they're like resting him
- 1:29:51Speaker 4: before the playoffs. But I was going to say something similar.
- 1:29:55Speaker 4: Like I remember actually 2024, he played every game.
- 1:29:59Speaker 7: Okay.
- 1:30:00Speaker 4: Two years ago was the first time he played every
- 1:30:04Speaker 4: game of the year. Well, 2023, it was, it was
- 1:30:07Speaker 4: still a 16 game schedule, but he played every game.
- 1:30:10Speaker 19: Okay.
- 1:30:10Speaker 7: So two years. Okay.
- 1:30:13Speaker 4: Uh, And this is his ninth year?
- 1:30:15Speaker 10: Yes.
- 1:30:16Speaker 7: Okay.
- 1:30:16Speaker 4: That is Lamar Jackson. That's still an HR issue.
- 1:30:20Speaker 5: I mean, you know, if I was going to run
- 1:30:23Speaker 5: some numbers and then want to talk about your performance
- 1:30:25Speaker 5: here at the job, that's what, 70% absentee rate.
- 1:30:32Speaker 7: Am I right?
- 1:30:33Speaker 4: Is it something like that?
- 1:30:34Speaker 5: 80% something what you've been gone?
- 1:30:40Speaker 4: No, it's not that high. Of games missed?
- 1:30:44Speaker 7: No, not that high.
- 1:30:45Speaker 5: I'm saying in terms of seasons played where you played
- 1:30:50Speaker 5: an entire year.
- 1:30:52Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, just two. Two out of nine.
- 1:30:55Speaker 7: Two out of nine.
- 1:30:56Speaker 4: Tennessee doing all they can, but Cleveland once again. And
- 1:31:01Speaker 4: I think our man Deshaun Watson has finally relaxed after
- 1:31:07Speaker 4: he got that off his chest a couple of weeks
- 1:31:08Speaker 4: ago when I said he went to the media and
- 1:31:11Speaker 4: just lowered the bar. For everyone, like, hey, I know
- 1:31:16Speaker 4: what you're trying to rate me as based on my salary,
- 1:31:19Speaker 4: but I'm not that numbers guy like that. I'm just
- 1:31:24Speaker 4: more of a winning quarterback. I'm just a winner quarterback.
- 1:31:28Speaker 4: Some quarterbacks are just winners.
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:31:31Speaker 7: They win.
- 1:31:31Speaker 4: It was never about them being in the right situation,
- 1:31:35Speaker 4: the numbers. You know, it's a lot of winning quarterbacks
- 1:31:40Speaker 4: that never made the Hall of Fame.
- 1:31:41Speaker 24: Yeah.
- 1:31:42Speaker 4: They won a lot of games. It's just, you know,
- 1:31:45Speaker 4: Phil Sims was one of those quarterbacks that come to mind.
- 1:31:48Speaker 4: They won a lot of games. He might have won
- 1:31:50Speaker 4: just as many as most of the Hall of Famers.
- 1:31:53Speaker 4: But his numbers, because that's just not his style. He
- 1:31:56Speaker 4: was not. He made the right play at the right
- 1:31:59Speaker 4: time to win the game. And that's what Deshaun Watson,
- 1:32:03Speaker 4: in my mind, is doing for Cleveland. They are 5-2.
- 1:32:06Speaker 4: First place. When you look at it, they're tied with
- 1:32:11Speaker 4: the Steelers. a top of that division at five and
- 1:32:15Speaker 4: a two. 27-24 over Tennessee. We talked about the Vikings.
- 1:32:22Speaker 4: The Dolphins got their first win of the season against
- 1:32:26Speaker 4: the JTS. Jets! Jets!
- 1:32:30Speaker 10: Jets!
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: 28-25.
- 1:32:30Speaker 5: Now, does that make losing to a team who hasn't
- 1:32:35Speaker 5: won yet definitely put you on the hot seat?
- 1:32:38Speaker 4: Am I right? I got a long-handled spoon with aaron
- 1:32:43Speaker 4: glenn because he was a draft mate of mine but
- 1:32:45Speaker 4: also to me they're rebuilding okay he's just the coach
- 1:32:51Speaker 4: that they're rebuilding and sometimes i think his hire was
- 1:32:54Speaker 4: that you you know he's a guy that you can
- 1:33:00Speaker 4: hire he used to play for him somebody has the
- 1:33:04Speaker 4: Be that bridge.
- 1:33:05Speaker 7: Yeah, understands how they move.
- 1:33:07Speaker 4: In New York. While we're doing this and be okay
- 1:33:10Speaker 4: with that, man, we might not win a couple of
- 1:33:12Speaker 4: games here for about two years now. They traded everybody.
- 1:33:15Speaker 4: We're getting– Geno Smith can't be long-term because he's 38
- 1:33:19Speaker 4: years old.
- 1:33:20Speaker 7: So we just kind of got you a quarterback.
- 1:33:23Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah. And so, you know, will they make a move?
- 1:33:27Speaker 4: I don't think so. I think they will at least
- 1:33:29Speaker 4: let him just– why would somebody else want to get
- 1:33:31Speaker 4: into this mix? Right now. Right now. We might do
- 1:33:34Speaker 4: something offseason, but I can't say, oh, none of the assistants,
- 1:33:38Speaker 4: it's not going to– they're not sitting there chomping at
- 1:33:41Speaker 4: the bit. I take it. That you gave it to them.
- 1:33:44Speaker 7: Somebody might.
- 1:33:45Speaker 4: They're delusional. All they need is an engine.
- 1:33:48Speaker 7: Oh, yeah, okay.
- 1:33:50Speaker 4: Baker Mayfield back yesterday. Tampa Bay big. Over Carolina, 43
- 1:33:56Speaker 4: to 13 in that game. Baker been out for about
- 1:34:00Speaker 4: three weeks with that dislocated thumb on his throwing hand.
- 1:34:06Speaker 4: I don't think they forced him to throw a lot
- 1:34:08Speaker 4: of balls either. Oh, he only threw 11 times. Oh, okay, yeah.
- 1:34:12Speaker 4: They ran the ball 49 times. You know the plan.
- 1:34:16Speaker 4: I mean, because I was thinking to myself, if it
- 1:34:18Speaker 4: ain't third and nine. We ain't throwing the ball.
- 1:34:21Speaker 5: And maybe I was projecting that they would be expecting
- 1:34:26Speaker 5: Dak Prescott out of him where he would throw 123
- 1:34:29Speaker 5: times or something like that. But I remember thinking, man,
- 1:34:32Speaker 5: you know, that seemed like a risk playing with that
- 1:34:35Speaker 5: thumb and having to.
- 1:34:36Speaker 4: But no. First and second down runs. Yeah. And I'll
- 1:34:40Speaker 4: be good.
- 1:34:41Speaker 5: They put a little Novocaine and whatever that is in
- 1:34:45Speaker 5: that thumb and we good.
- 1:34:47Speaker 4: Detroit beating Green Bay 20-17. The Rams jumping big over
- 1:34:52Speaker 4: the Raiders 35-21. The Raiders have kind of come back
- 1:34:59Speaker 4: down to earth here over the last couple of weeks.
- 1:35:03Speaker 4: Seattle beating Kansas City 20-3 in that game last night
- 1:35:11Speaker 4: on Sunday night. Seattle with all the motivation to stop
- 1:35:15Speaker 4: Kenneth Walker III, who was the MVP of the Super
- 1:35:18Speaker 4: Bowl for them last year. And that's where I always
- 1:35:22Speaker 4: tell my friends that like to bet. There's other factors
- 1:35:25Speaker 4: other than records. And most of it is the motivation.
- 1:35:32Speaker 4: You got to dig into what is the motivating factor
- 1:35:35Speaker 4: of one team to do something more than the last.
- 1:35:38Speaker 4: Who both teams want to win, who needs to win.
- 1:35:45Speaker 4: who got something that they really have decided today.
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:35:52Speaker 4: Going to be lying. Because everybody trying to figure out why.
- 1:35:54Speaker 4: Kenny going to get it today. I can't believe. Of
- 1:35:57Speaker 4: all the days. And when they get in the huddle,
- 1:36:00Speaker 4: break it down.
- 1:36:00Speaker 7: One, two, three. F Big Kenny. Boy, you are in
- 1:36:04Speaker 7: trouble today, Big Kenny.
- 1:36:05Speaker 5: And I can hear that. I'm standing right here. I'm
- 1:36:08Speaker 5: looking at you. Y'all not invisible, bro. I'm looking right
- 1:36:12Speaker 5: at you. We used to be teammates. And I'm saying,
- 1:36:16Speaker 5: you used to come over on Taco Tuesday.
- 1:36:18Speaker 12: And you can hear in the Seattle fans, I text
- 1:36:22Speaker 12: you yesterday, happy birthday.
- 1:36:24Speaker 4: Not today. You're going to learn today. We on the
- 1:36:26Speaker 4: field now. We ain't friends.
- 1:36:28Speaker 12: And the Seattle fans hear the chatter. You invited me
- 1:36:31Speaker 12: to your mom's. The anniversary party. They hear the chatter
- 1:36:35Speaker 12: as far as. It's gang gang today.
- 1:36:37Speaker 4: You still invited, but for this game.
- 1:36:39Speaker 5: You in red and we in blue. And so it's
- 1:36:42Speaker 5: FB Kenny on three. All right.
- 1:36:44Speaker 4: Okay. We're just going to go with that for right now.
- 1:36:46Speaker 4: And that's how they treated the Chiefs last night. Well,
- 1:36:49Speaker 4: you got the Seattle fans once again. They're hearing, how
- 1:36:52Speaker 4: did you get rid of this MVP? How did he
- 1:36:55Speaker 4: go away? I didn't get rid of him. He's gone.
- 1:36:57Speaker 4: I didn't get rid of him. Read the full story.
- 1:37:00Speaker 4: You must be just reading the chatter. He was a
- 1:37:02Speaker 4: free agent.
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: And he left.
- 1:37:04Speaker 12: But as a fan, I'm saying they couldn't understand why
- 1:37:07Speaker 12: the team– He got away.
- 1:37:09Speaker 7: He left.
- 1:37:10Speaker 12: And now they got to listen. Like, your guy's doing
- 1:37:13Speaker 12: such a great job. So, like you said, it's giving
- 1:37:16Speaker 12: them motivation.
- 1:37:17Speaker 4: I didn't have to hear nothing of that of a
- 1:37:18Speaker 4: player because I didn't hear that. That is not in
- 1:37:23Speaker 4: the locker room. You're talking about some on the BuzzFeed.
- 1:37:26Speaker 4: I'm telling you. Okay, so where did they come up
- 1:37:28Speaker 4: with the– Vic Kenny was on my team last year.
- 1:37:32Speaker 4: And now Big Kenny. He's killing it in Kansas City. No,
- 1:37:35Speaker 4: I don't care nothing about him killing nowhere. He on
- 1:37:38Speaker 4: the field tonight. So it's lamb chops and gravy on
- 1:37:41Speaker 4: the other side. I don't care what his numbers are.
- 1:37:44Speaker 4: It's just him being on the other side. It's just
- 1:37:46Speaker 4: him on the other side. I don't know what kind
- 1:37:47Speaker 4: of season he having. I know he about to get
- 1:37:50Speaker 4: it tonight, though. I'm too busy trying to win. My
- 1:37:54Speaker 4: team's too busy trying. And he used to play for us.
- 1:37:56Speaker 4: And he got the nerve to come out here and
- 1:37:58Speaker 4: think he going to score? How dare you?
- 1:38:01Speaker 7: That's what I'm saying. We're saying the same thing.
- 1:38:03Speaker 4: No, we're not.
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:38:05Speaker 4: Don't put me in there.
- 1:38:06Speaker 6: Mr.
- 1:38:06Speaker 7: Officer, you are snitching today.
- 1:38:09Speaker 4: Today? Today. Hey, look. He being consistent, if anything. Down
- 1:38:18Speaker 4: in Southern University, Marshall Falk. Another draft mate. Me and
- 1:38:22Speaker 4: Aaron Glenn and Marshall Falk all got drafted in the
- 1:38:26Speaker 4: 94 draft in that first round. Marsha Falk went to
- 1:38:31Speaker 4: the Coats. Aaron went to the Jets. I went to
- 1:38:36Speaker 4: the Rams. That's awesome. Everybody can say that. We all
- 1:38:38Speaker 4: got drafted in 94. We were all on the Consensus
- 1:38:42Speaker 4: All-American team. Went out to the Bob Hope special. I
- 1:38:46Speaker 4: met Bob Hope and all that out in L.A. And
- 1:38:50Speaker 4: now my man Marshall, who I will forever remember because
- 1:38:55Speaker 4: when we got to L.A., Marshall said he hadn't been
- 1:38:59Speaker 4: to class since like last Valentine's Day. He was going
- 1:39:04Speaker 4: to the pros. I was going to say freshman year
- 1:39:06Speaker 4: he hadn't been to class. And I was sitting there like, really, man?
- 1:39:09Speaker 7: Y'all could do that?
- 1:39:10Speaker 4: He was living in apartments in San Diego State. And
- 1:39:13Speaker 4: all that, you know, I'm over here in Auburn for
- 1:39:15Speaker 4: three meals and a cot. He was telling us about
- 1:39:17Speaker 4: living on the beach. You sitting with your tutor every evening.
- 1:39:23Speaker 5: And he telling me I ain't been to class since
- 1:39:25Speaker 5: I've been in school.
- 1:39:28Speaker 4: But Marshall sadly announcing that he's dealing with some Parkinson.
- 1:39:33Speaker 4: He's 53 years old. He's been the head coach down
- 1:39:36Speaker 4: at Southern for the last two years. Hopefully he can
- 1:39:39Speaker 4: finish the season. I do know with those kind of
- 1:39:42Speaker 4: brain diagnosis. Yeah, neurological issues. Neurological situations, they like you
- 1:39:48Speaker 4: to stay from high stress. Well, nothing is more high
- 1:39:51Speaker 4: stress than coaching in any level. They age like Moses
- 1:39:57Speaker 4: at the mountaintop when you see them.
- 1:40:00Speaker 5: That stress is something that. You see them with a
- 1:40:02Speaker 5: rattler and a lollipop.
- 1:40:08Speaker 7: One minute, yeah.
- 1:40:09Speaker 4: One minute, you go back and see. Pacified in 24
- 1:40:12Speaker 4: hours later. They ain't even got a cup. They just
- 1:40:14Speaker 4: drinking it out of the bottle. You know, they just
- 1:40:18Speaker 4: got the Jack Daniels in their hands.
- 1:40:19Speaker 5: Y'all gave that baby some liquor.
- 1:40:23Speaker 4: Man, what's wrong with you? You 24. Man, I got
- 1:40:26Speaker 4: this little 19-year-old knucklehead running back. But it's driving me crazy.
- 1:40:31Speaker 5: Got his cousin in the dorm sold three pounds a week.
- 1:40:35Speaker 4: So we do wish you all the best and hopefully
- 1:40:39Speaker 4: with all the modern technology and advances in medicine and
- 1:40:43Speaker 4: all the way back. And it stands for my generation
- 1:40:46Speaker 4: because we remember the great Michael J. Fox, who's still alive,
- 1:40:49Speaker 4: but was on a blazing a trail in the acting
- 1:40:53Speaker 4: world when his Parkinson came on him and that removed
- 1:40:57Speaker 4: him from TV in a big way. We'll be back
- 1:41:00Speaker 4: with more of the Sports Jock Show right after this.
- 1:41:05Speaker 7: Can I kick it? Can I kick it?
- 1:41:09Speaker 4: Can I kick it? Can I kick it?
- 1:41:14Speaker 7: Can I kick it?
- 1:41:17Speaker 4: Don't go away.
- 1:41:18Speaker 19: More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gamby is
- 1:41:21Speaker 19: coming up next.

- 1:42:46Speaker 26: running back Bijan Robinson.
- 1:42:48Speaker 4: When I'm on the field and feeling the pressure, I
- 1:42:49Speaker 4: usually just take a deep breath. When I'm just breathing
- 1:42:53Speaker 4: and seeing what's in front of me, everything just slows down.
- 1:42:55Speaker 4: It just makes me feel great before I run the play.
- 1:42:58Speaker 26: Just like Bijan, we all need a strong mental game
- 1:43:01Speaker 26: on and off the field. Make a game plan for

- 1:43:52Speaker 3: Oh, log on so you can see. The Sports J-O-C,
- 1:43:57Speaker 3: even Big Candy.
- 1:43:59Speaker 4: Welcome back to the Sports Talk Show. I'm the Sports
- 1:44:02Speaker 4: Talk Wayne Candy. Good morning to you out there in
- 1:44:05Speaker 4: listening land. Bad producer, what got you over there giggling hard?
- 1:44:07Speaker 4: We missed something?
- 1:44:08Speaker 5: Yes, he responded. Questions are closed or open. His question
- 1:44:15Speaker 5: was a statement with question marks. There wasn't any action, verb,
- 1:44:22Speaker 5: or what, where, when, why, or how. He made a
- 1:44:26Speaker 5: statement with question marks.
- 1:44:28Speaker 7: Why are you doing this? Why are you doing this?
- 1:44:30Speaker 5: We had this conversation at the beginning of the day.
- 1:44:34Speaker 4: We had this conversation. Yeah, well, he just keeps arguing
- 1:44:38Speaker 4: and debating and talking. And presenting his receipts. And presenting
- 1:44:41Speaker 4: receipts of stuff. We've had this conversation.
- 1:44:43Speaker 7: I thought a question mark was a what?
- 1:44:46Speaker 4: Question. It was a question. If somebody just texts me
- 1:44:49Speaker 4: a question mark. That's what makes it a question. They
- 1:44:53Speaker 4: want to ask me a question. It's in the name
- 1:44:55Speaker 4: of the mark. Yes.
- 1:44:58Speaker 5: Anytime it goes after a sentence, that means that that sentence,
- 1:45:04Speaker 5: regardless of the words contained in it, is being asked
- 1:45:08Speaker 5: as what?
- 1:45:09Speaker 7: A question. Thank you. And he still needs to rail
- 1:45:12Speaker 7: against it. That's very funny.
- 1:45:14Speaker 1: Online.
- 1:45:15Speaker 4: Online. In the chat. Sadly... Cornell High School head football coach,
- 1:45:20Speaker 4: 16 miles outside of Pittsburgh, where his high school is.
- 1:45:26Speaker 4: They lost their head football coach, Ed Dawson. He passed
- 1:45:31Speaker 4: away after collapsing during the second quarter of Friday's game
- 1:45:37Speaker 4: at Rochester. I was advised to sit on the bench,
- 1:45:41Speaker 4: but later he passed away that night. I wanted to
- 1:45:44Speaker 4: ask you guys, because I do high school games. I
- 1:45:47Speaker 4: do college games. Never done pro games, but I interact
- 1:45:51Speaker 4: with a lot of coaches. The referees, at least on
- 1:45:56Speaker 4: the college and pro level, have a physical that is
- 1:45:59Speaker 4: not just physical. paying the $ 75 or whatever. They actually
- 1:46:06Speaker 4: have a physical. I don't know about the high school level.
- 1:46:09Speaker 4: High school makes me feel like from their, at least
- 1:46:11Speaker 4: from their outward appearance as though they don't have a physical.
- 1:46:18Speaker 4: But with coaches, referees have to have it.
- 1:46:22Speaker 7: Players have to have it.
- 1:46:23Speaker 4: I wonder why with coaches, because we saw the young
- 1:46:27Speaker 4: lady for the Valkyries, the head coach, you just fell down.
- 1:46:33Speaker 4: In the playoffs, we saw even Mike McCarthy couldn't go
- 1:46:39Speaker 4: to halftime down in Tampa Bay because just walking on
- 1:46:43Speaker 4: the sideline, he twisted his ankle. And why do you
- 1:46:49Speaker 4: think schools don't require that of coaches.
- 1:46:53Speaker 7: You think?
- 1:46:54Speaker 5: Sports jock. And some of you know the look that
- 1:46:58Speaker 5: I'm talking about. And since you brought it up, I
- 1:47:01Speaker 5: will address it because I wasn't going to say anything
- 1:47:03Speaker 5: because it seems so unpopular. But traveling this weekend through Hartsfield-Jackson,
- 1:47:07Speaker 5: through Chicago or two of the busiest airports in the world,
- 1:47:11Speaker 5: I think that there is coming a time, because we
- 1:47:13Speaker 5: are in an AI generation, that unhealthy people will stop
- 1:47:17Speaker 5: being able to fly.
- 1:47:18Speaker 4: All that limping through the airport, all that.
- 1:47:23Speaker 5: All that needing somebody to put you on some sort
- 1:47:27Speaker 5: of because I'm not talking about disabled people. I'm talking
- 1:47:31Speaker 5: about people who are able bodied, but you so unhealthy.
- 1:47:34Speaker 5: You need some transportation to get you through the terminal.
- 1:47:38Speaker 5: I've never understood how you can be in charge of
- 1:47:41Speaker 5: athletes standing on the sidelines. and you 300 pounds overweight.
- 1:47:46Speaker 5: You any amount of weight overweight. This is physical fitness
- 1:47:51Speaker 5: that we're displaying here. You, as the leader of this team,
- 1:47:55Speaker 5: should have a responsibility and accountability for keeping yourself in
- 1:48:00Speaker 5: good enough shape to do this job. I'm not saying
- 1:48:02Speaker 5: anything athletic. I'm saying you ought to be able to,
- 1:48:05Speaker 5: at the very least, walk up and down the steps
- 1:48:08Speaker 5: and up and down the sidelines without being in some sort.
- 1:48:11Speaker 7: Of physical condition. Most coaches, they do have that.
- 1:48:14Speaker 12: Only coach I can remember ever in my watching sports,
- 1:48:18Speaker 12: Charlie Weiss was probably the only coach that I ever
- 1:48:21Speaker 12: saw that he looked like he was that struggle with
- 1:48:25Speaker 12: possibility of the outward look of football. I mean, as
- 1:48:28Speaker 12: far as a player would look at how you say
- 1:48:31Speaker 12: in the physical side of it, but everybody else looks
- 1:48:34Speaker 12: the part and like they can go and play.
- 1:48:37Speaker 4: That's not true. Andy Reid, as always, you just don't
- 1:48:41Speaker 4: like Charlie Weiss. Whatever it is that you have against people,
- 1:48:44Speaker 4: you bring to the mic. It's amazing how you do that.
- 1:48:48Speaker 4: You just picked Charlie Weiss out of nowhere. I don't
- 1:48:51Speaker 4: even know if Charlie Weiss still coach, but you just
- 1:48:53Speaker 4: pulled him because you don't like Charlie Weiss, do you?
- 1:48:55Speaker 7: Nah, you never say that.
- 1:48:57Speaker 4: I'm asking you a question. I have nothing. Do you
- 1:49:00Speaker 4: like or dislike Charlie Weiss? Nah, I don't have nothing
- 1:49:03Speaker 4: against Charlie Weiss.
- 1:49:05Speaker 12: I just was thinking he's about the only coach in
- 1:49:07Speaker 12: my mind that could come through that was an actual
- 1:49:09Speaker 12: head coach on a college level.
- 1:49:11Speaker 4: You stripped over Art Shell. We weren't just talking about college.
- 1:49:15Speaker 4: But Art played, though. We weren't even talking about college
- 1:49:17Speaker 4: because this coach is in high school. We're talking about unfit,
- 1:49:22Speaker 4: unhealthy coaches. So you just went to get Charlie Weiss.
- 1:49:24Speaker 4: It's okay not to like somebody.
- 1:49:28Speaker 7: It really is.
- 1:49:29Speaker 4: It is if that's what you just don't like.
- 1:49:31Speaker 1: I mean.
- 1:49:32Speaker 4: It really is. It really is okay. You can feel
- 1:49:36Speaker 4: how you feel. And we still be cool about it. Wow.
- 1:49:40Speaker 4: When I saw this coach, I was wondering why that
- 1:49:44Speaker 4: can't be. And I'm not saying it has to be
- 1:49:46Speaker 4: some hard triathlon. Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 1:49:49Speaker 5: But at least be able to meet the physical requirements
- 1:49:52Speaker 5: of this job.
- 1:49:53Speaker 4: Because it's a stressful physical. Or at least take a physical.
- 1:49:57Speaker 4: Standing on your legs. I'm amazed that older coaches, trust me,
- 1:50:02Speaker 4: as a player, That coach be 70 and can stand up.
- 1:50:06Speaker 7: For five hours.
- 1:50:07Speaker 4: Yeah. Out here. Like, you know, but you have to
- 1:50:10Speaker 4: be in some kind of. And that's why you ever
- 1:50:14Speaker 4: notice Andy Reid don't walk from sideline to sideline. He
- 1:50:17Speaker 4: don't move that much. He stay right where he is.
- 1:50:22Speaker 7: Good.
- 1:50:22Speaker 4: They got old Andy. Compared to Sean McVay. Up and down.
- 1:50:26Speaker 4: Probably goes five miles a game. Yeah. McVay look like
- 1:50:29Speaker 4: he's trying to get in the game. Man, take off
- 1:50:31Speaker 4: that uniform. Let me get out there and show you.
- 1:50:34Speaker 4: Ric Flair. Woo! The great Ric Flair having a medical emergency.
- 1:50:39Speaker 4: And this stood out to me because it's got to
- 1:50:42Speaker 4: be about the 26th emergency for Ric.
- 1:50:46Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 1:50:47Speaker 7: I feel like he's had like a few heart attacks.
- 1:50:50Speaker 4: Is it still Rick or is it a clone? I'm
- 1:50:53Speaker 4: saying now, I ain't judging because we done all had
- 1:50:55Speaker 4: about 26, 27 medical emergencies.
- 1:50:58Speaker 1: Am I right?
- 1:51:00Speaker 4: When you a Rolex wearing, limousine riding, high flying, kiss stealing, wheeling, dealing.
- 1:51:08Speaker 7: Styling and profiling.
- 1:51:10Speaker 5: And having a hard time holding these gators down. That
- 1:51:13Speaker 5: come with one or two heart attacks. I'm saying y'all
- 1:51:16Speaker 5: ain't respecting the game.
- 1:51:18Speaker 4: I just know it's been like every three months.
- 1:51:21Speaker 7: It happened. It happened.
- 1:51:23Speaker 4: He's hospitalized. Them women responsible for three of them heart attacks.
- 1:51:28Speaker 4: And we are in the ocean. No, we're not in
- 1:51:31Speaker 4: the ocean yet. We'll be back right after this. We're
- 1:51:34Speaker 4: trying to kill Rick Endershow off. We'll be right back
- 1:51:37Speaker 4: after this. Don't go away.

- 1:53:05Speaker 25: Now, it's time for the scoreboard, where we put a
- 1:53:09Speaker 25: spin on life and sports and how they intermingle on
- 1:53:14Speaker 25: the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gandy. Welcome back to
- 1:53:29Speaker 25: the Sports Talk Show.
- 1:53:31Speaker 4: I'm the Sports Talk Wayne Gandy.
- 1:53:33Speaker 7: Good morning.
- 1:53:34Speaker 4: Nick fans, name their son Nixon 5.
- 1:53:57Speaker 7: After the championship, two fans.
- 1:54:02Speaker 4: Y'all got it?
- 1:54:02Speaker 25: Nixon.
- 1:54:03Speaker 4: Nixon 5. Nixon 5. He'll have to explain that. He'll
- 1:54:08Speaker 4: have to explain that. Well, it's Nixon, so it's not,
- 1:54:10Speaker 4: you know, but he spelled it with Nick and son,
- 1:54:13Speaker 4: so not Nixon. Nixon 5. And all New Yorkers will
- 1:54:19Speaker 4: be like, cool, bro. And then everybody else will be like, man,
- 1:54:22Speaker 4: your parents was on dope. Well, no, people name their kids,
- 1:54:25Speaker 4: you know, Bear and Bryant. And you meet different. I
- 1:54:30Speaker 4: had a quarterback the other night. His name was Cannon Robinson.
- 1:54:34Speaker 4: And the couple was there. And they admitted they named him,
- 1:54:38Speaker 4: you know, hoping he played football. You have a cannon
- 1:54:40Speaker 4: of an arm. He plays quarterback. So people. They manifested that. Yeah,
- 1:54:46Speaker 4: I guess they did, didn't they? He plays quarterback and
- 1:54:49Speaker 4: has a cannon of an arm. That was kind of.
- 1:54:52Speaker 4: They helped me out at my job. You know, uh,
- 1:54:56Speaker 4: Cannon Robinson had a good game the other night as well.
- 1:54:59Speaker 4: Antonio Richardson, speaking of quarterbacks arrested, uh, for marijuana possession,
- 1:55:04Speaker 4: has some gummies in the car, in the car as well.
- 1:55:06Speaker 4: The young 25 hours. And he's like 25 years old, 24,
- 1:55:10Speaker 4: 25 young quarterback out of Florida. Uh, that was drafted
- 1:55:13Speaker 4: in the first round.
- 1:55:15Speaker 7: What was that?
- 1:55:16Speaker 4: Three years ago. This would be his third year. This is,
- 1:55:19Speaker 4: I think it's year four. He was in the same
- 1:55:20Speaker 4: draft with, uh, CJ Stroud and Bryce Young. The thing
- 1:55:26Speaker 4: I love about you, Antonio, you might be able to
- 1:55:28Speaker 4: come out of this and become a leader. He admitted
- 1:55:33Speaker 4: to his infraction. He didn't try to play the whole
- 1:55:37Speaker 4: out of that kid there.
- 1:55:40Speaker 5: I mean, and ain't nobody really judging because we done
- 1:55:43Speaker 5: all been arrested for marijuana possession.
- 1:55:45Speaker 1: Am I right?
- 1:55:46Speaker 4: Am I right? No. Hey, just, you know, it ain't,
- 1:55:51Speaker 4: it ain't no whole bunch. But he didn't take them
- 1:55:53Speaker 4: through all that. Man, what? What? Weed? Where? Yeah, right there, sir.
- 1:56:02Speaker 4: On the seat?
- 1:56:03Speaker 7: That's, that's crazy.
- 1:56:05Speaker 4: How did weed get on my seat? Sadly, a shooting
- 1:56:09Speaker 4: with the fam, you, says that about 12 people injured.
- 1:56:15Speaker 4: One was critical. Two was hospitalized. I don't know if
- 1:56:20Speaker 4: all 12 got hit by bullets. But during the homecoming,
- 1:56:25Speaker 4: close to the stadium, and we kind of almost see
- 1:56:29Speaker 4: this somewhere around homecoming. There's been lately a shooting every
- 1:56:37Speaker 4: season at some school. either at the campus or in
- 1:56:42Speaker 4: the vicinity of the campus. Or connected to a homecoming event.
- 1:56:46Speaker 4: And to a homecoming event. And especially on, I would say,
- 1:56:51Speaker 4: it seems on the HBCU level, I think wherever the
- 1:56:56Speaker 4: HBCU and the party is so big and it's so inviting,
- 1:57:01Speaker 4: you have a lot of people coming in too that
- 1:57:06Speaker 4: don't seem, and I'm just saying this, Typically an Auburn homecoming,
- 1:57:12Speaker 4: it just– Auburn. The beacon goes up for the Auburn
- 1:57:16Speaker 4: alumni or people that went to Auburn or are affiliated
- 1:57:22Speaker 4: to it. But when the Morehouse or the Spelman or
- 1:57:27Speaker 4: these kind of homecomings, Clark Atlanta. It's a community event.
- 1:57:30Speaker 4: It's a community of it. Everybody's welcome. Yeah, you have
- 1:57:34Speaker 4: somebody driving in from Carolina or– arkansas it's.
- 1:57:39Speaker 7: Like what you in town you know it's bellman man
- 1:57:41Speaker 7: i thought you.
- 1:57:42Speaker 4: Like this week like you trap all day well i think.
- 1:57:46Speaker 5: The problem is you need a place to spend your
- 1:57:47Speaker 5: money well see.
- 1:57:48Speaker 12: Come over what i've noticed with a lot of our
- 1:57:51Speaker 12: um hbcus their home company they have projected them in
- 1:57:54Speaker 12: the last few years like south carolina state calls their
- 1:57:57Speaker 12: homecoming the greatest homecoming on earth uh ant calls theirs G-Ho,
- 1:58:02Speaker 12: the greatest homecoming owner. They all got names or some
- 1:58:05Speaker 12: kind of synonyms going along with it, trying to promote it,
- 1:58:08Speaker 12: and that's what tracks the out.
- 1:58:11Speaker 7: That want to come.
- 1:58:11Speaker 3: Oh, man.
- 1:58:12Speaker 7: And then they have these big concerts.
- 1:58:14Speaker 12: You know, you got, matter of fact, you got major
- 1:58:20Speaker 12: entertainers coming to perform at these homecoming events.
- 1:58:23Speaker 5: And that's because the university itself is attracting that. They're
- 1:58:28Speaker 5: asking you to come from where you are, even if
- 1:58:32Speaker 5: you are not affiliated with the university in any way.
- 1:58:36Speaker 5: Come participate with us. This is homecoming. We are one.
- 1:58:40Speaker 5: And generally, as he said, at Southern Miss Homecoming, everybody
- 1:58:44Speaker 5: that show up generally is affiliated with Southern Miss and
- 1:58:49Speaker 5: the university discourages hangers on.
- 1:58:52Speaker 4: And just looky-loos from participating.
- 1:58:56Speaker 5: We want people who are golden eagles because they will
- 1:59:00Speaker 5: behave in the spirit of being golden eagles. Everybody else
- 1:59:04Speaker 5: coming trying to make themselves be seen.
- 1:59:05Speaker 12: But what's happening, you came in with these promoters, and
- 1:59:08Speaker 12: they see an opportunity, oh, we can promote, we can
- 1:59:11Speaker 12: this party, this, that, this, and so on. That's where
- 1:59:15Speaker 12: you said the element of the community that attracts, oh,
- 1:59:18Speaker 12: they're going to have– Young Miami and belly.
- 1:59:22Speaker 7: Game cush at A & T homecoming. I'm going this weekend.
- 1:59:25Speaker 4: Well, I'm trying. Well, I don't even know who belly
- 1:59:28Speaker 4: game cush is supposed to be, but I'm just trying
- 1:59:32Speaker 4: to make sure I draw a line. When you see
- 1:59:34Speaker 4: the college before that, don't always believe that it was
- 1:59:38Speaker 4: the college or the people who attend the college.
- 1:59:41Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:59:42Speaker 7: That could be.
- 1:59:43Speaker 4: It could be. So I'm not, I'm just saying, remember,
- 1:59:46Speaker 4: there's a crowd that comes every, that sometimes is even
- 1:59:50Speaker 4: more and bigger than, because even here, a lot of
- 1:59:55Speaker 4: you heard of Freak Nick back in the 90s. That
- 1:59:59Speaker 4: was big and very popular. But at first, when the
- 2:00:02Speaker 4: beacon went up, it was more of calling for college students.
- 2:00:06Speaker 4: The growth of it became that it became an Atlanta party.
- 2:00:11Speaker 4: And so many people came that it became just almost
- 2:00:15Speaker 4: too big to handle.
- 2:00:16Speaker 5: And as you said, then promoters got involved, and it
- 2:00:19Speaker 5: got even worse.
- 2:00:21Speaker 4: And we are in the ocean. The truth is, he
- 2:00:27Speaker 4: will throw your ass in the ocean.
- 2:00:29Speaker 2: It's time to wrap things up on the Sports Jack Show.
- 2:01:11Speaker 4: When you're the size of the ocean, give us a
- 2:01:12Speaker 4: sports chat. Just a minute to vent. We'd like to
- 2:01:14Speaker 4: thank you for tuning in to today's show. Any segment,
- 2:01:17Speaker 4: any hour, any minute that you caught. Thank you for
- 2:01:20Speaker 4: your comments as well. Sorry about that, Elder Casey. That
- 2:01:25Speaker 4: missed cue on the question marks. But it did bring
- 2:01:30Speaker 4: to light that there are some individuals that don't know
- 2:01:33Speaker 4: what the question mark definition is. It's me, Spick, Kenny, Comanche, Greg,
- 2:01:39Speaker 4: Bad Producer. Thank you for your contributions to today's show.
- 2:01:46Speaker 4: If you missed any of the show, you can go
- 2:01:47Speaker 4: to Amazon Podcasts, Apple Podcasts, Audible, Deezer, iHeartRadio, or Spotify
- 2:01:53Speaker 4: and catch the replay. Today coming on board, just for
- 2:01:58Speaker 4: the courageousness of going back out on the field. And
- 2:02:04Speaker 4: doing something big for his team, linebacker Kendall Daniels. Kendall
- 2:02:12Speaker 4: Daniels left the game last week on a stretcher for
- 2:02:15Speaker 4: the Falcons. And seven days later, he is catching an
- 2:02:21Speaker 4: interception to seal the game and the victory of the 49ers.
- 2:02:25Speaker 4: So you got to tip your hat and give that
- 2:02:28Speaker 4: man a salute. Left a game in a stretcher. You
- 2:02:31Speaker 4: live in a stretcher. I'm thinking that's it. Without a
- 2:02:33Speaker 4: thumbs up. We'll see you at the TNP Workers' Comp meeting.
- 2:02:37Speaker 5: Without any thumbs up, he left there. Total silence on
- 2:02:41Speaker 5: a stretcher.
- 2:02:42Speaker 4: And to show back up a week later, catching interceptions
- 2:02:46Speaker 4: to help your team win. What a big moment and
- 2:02:49Speaker 4: a story he'll be telling his grandson about how tough
- 2:02:53Speaker 4: he is. When his grandson fall down, boy, if you
- 2:02:56Speaker 4: don't get up. I was almost killed one night. He's
- 2:02:59Speaker 4: just going to pull up the video. He's just going
- 2:03:01Speaker 4: to pull up the video. So come aboard, Kendall Day.
- 2:03:05Speaker 8: All aboard!
- 2:03:05Speaker 4: Because you know the story is going to grow in
- 2:03:11Speaker 4: the next 25 years. All aboard!
- 2:03:16Speaker 5: He's going to add the coma part. Yeah, he was
- 2:03:18Speaker 5: in a coma for seven hours. Then somebody broke in
- 2:03:23Speaker 5: the room and shot him.
- 2:03:24Speaker 4: That interception run going to be longer and longer.
- 2:03:29Speaker 7: Man, I was reading the eyes of the quarterback and everything.
- 2:03:32Speaker 4: I caught it. But we hope you have a good
- 2:03:34Speaker 4: afternoon from the Sports Talk Show.
- 2:03:37Speaker 1: Peace.
