Najah: A lot of y'all really enjoy toxic relationships because that's what you inherited. I get it. Them extreme highs and lows can feel like love. When that's what love always looked like to you. But baby, that never felt good to me. I don't care what I saw growing up. It never felt like a safe place for me. I don't want us fighting for our lives on Tuesday and madly in love again by Thursday. I don't need my nervous system in fight or flight just to feel like the relationship got passion. Give me the middle ground. I'm cool with peace as the baseline. And we can have our highs from there. But them lows?! where everything gotta burn down before we remember that we love each other. Ooh you can keep it. Toxic love, struggle love, whatever y'all calling it. I know it's for somebody, But it ain't for me, baby. I'm good. Because peace doesn't bore me. Chaos does.
