- 0:09Speaker 1: Hello, everybody, Welcome to the Inside the Birds Week seven
- 0:13Speaker 1: NFL preview. I am Jeff Mosher and if you are
- 0:18Speaker 1: watching this on YouTube, you're saying, Jeff, where in the
- 0:22Speaker 1: world are you? Are you in a car? And the
- 0:24Speaker 1: answer is yes, I am in a car. It is
- 0:27Speaker 1: very early Saturday morning. My daughter had to play for
- 0:31Speaker 1: her travel softball team in a tournament about.
- 0:34Speaker 2: An hour and a half away, and it was.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Eight am first pitch, so you got to be there
- 0:40Speaker 1: at seven am, and that means, you.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Know, if your hour and a half way, you gotta be
- 0:44Speaker 2: out of the house by five thirty. So here I am.
- 0:48Speaker 1: I did not want to miss this, and I've got
- 0:50Speaker 1: a lot of things going on this weekend, so I
- 0:52Speaker 1: wanted to make sure that I got my thoughts on
- 0:55Speaker 1: the week seven games for you guys, And so.
- 0:58Speaker 2: I'm doing it for my car.
- 0:59Speaker 1: So you are watching from YouTube and it looks a
- 1:03Speaker 1: little odd, I apologize, but I am committed to the
- 1:06Speaker 1: show and doing this and I really enjoy doing this,
- 1:09Speaker 1: so I want to make sure that I get this
- 1:12Speaker 1: show in before obviously Sunday's spate of games, and so
- 1:17Speaker 1: let's talk about that. It is Week seven and I
- 1:20Speaker 1: just get the feeling. As I said in the last
- 1:23Speaker 1: show last week that while the teams that look really
- 1:28Speaker 1: good right now are new as far as being powerhouses.
- 1:32Speaker 1: You know, the Bucks look like the team to beat
- 1:33Speaker 1: in the NFC right now, the Colts.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Look like the team to beat in the AFC.
- 1:38Speaker 1: That I don't think we're headed for a Bucks Colts
- 1:41Speaker 1: super Bowl, per se. I think by the end of
- 1:44Speaker 1: the year, you're still going to see the teams you
- 1:48Speaker 1: expect to see.
- 1:50Speaker 2: They're in the conference finals and the Super Bowl.
- 1:52Speaker 1: I still think the powerhouses that may be off to
- 1:55Speaker 1: a little bit of a struggle this year will definitely
- 1:58Speaker 1: get going, you know, whether that's the Eagles, whether that's
- 2:02Speaker 1: the Chiefs. You know, the Lions aren't struggling, but obviously
- 2:06Speaker 1: they lost a big game to the Chiefs after winning
- 2:10Speaker 1: a few in a row. Do I think the Ravens
- 2:12Speaker 1: have time to get it together. They got to get healthy.
- 2:14Speaker 1: I mean, they will not be competitive if they don't
- 2:17Speaker 1: get healthy, for sure.
- 2:20Speaker 2: But I think, you know, the Rams are gonna look good,
- 2:23Speaker 2: you know.
- 2:23Speaker 1: I think the teams at the end of the year,
- 2:26Speaker 1: we'll see how the Commanders wind up doing, will be
- 2:29Speaker 1: the ones that we expected to for the most part,
- 2:32Speaker 1: give or take a few. You know, I do like
- 2:34Speaker 1: the way the Colts have played this year. They have
- 2:36Speaker 1: to like the way the Bucks. The Bucks were already
- 2:37Speaker 1: a playoff team, though, are they a number one seed
- 2:40Speaker 1: type of team? We'll see. They're obviously getting a lot
- 2:43Speaker 1: healthier on offense. You know, the Niners will get healthier
- 2:46Speaker 1: and we'll see how it goes. Thursday night's game was
- 2:50Speaker 1: really interesting. You know, the Bengals showed you why they
- 2:53Speaker 1: made that deal to get Joe Flacco. They were going
- 2:56Speaker 1: nowhere with Jake Browning, and what they really need was
- 3:00Speaker 1: a guy who could come in and figure out a
- 3:02Speaker 1: way to get the ball to Chase, get the ball
- 3:05Speaker 1: to Higgins, which will help them unlock their run game.
- 3:08Speaker 2: And that's what you saw obviously.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Look, that's not gonna happen every week where Jamar Chase
- 3:14Speaker 1: gets sixteen catches and Joe Flacco looks that good. I
- 3:17Speaker 1: don't think he turned the ball over. That's not gonna
- 3:20Speaker 1: happen every week. But you know what, you can see
- 3:24Speaker 1: why Mike Tomlin was disappointed that the Browns pulled off
- 3:29Speaker 1: that trade to an inner Division rival and sent Joe
- 3:32Speaker 1: Flacko to the Bengals a week before he was about
- 3:35Speaker 1: to play the Steelers. Steelers, but I gotta say something
- 3:38Speaker 1: about Tomlin's comments. Those were kind of asenine. You know,
- 3:43Speaker 1: the Browns and the Steelers, they're not great rivals on
- 3:47Speaker 1: the field because the Browns just haven't been very good
- 3:50Speaker 1: while the Steelers are good every year. But this is
- 3:53Speaker 1: a huge rivalry. Yeah, Pittsburgh Cleveland rivalry is very, very big.
- 3:57Speaker 1: That is their biggest regional rival. And there was no
- 4:00Speaker 1: love lost in Pittsburgh for Cleveland teams and vice versa.
- 4:05Speaker 1: So the Browns aren't trying to help the Steelers. And
- 4:10Speaker 1: the idea that Tomlin is pitching that you don't trade
- 4:14Speaker 1: a quarterback like that in your division is sort of ridiculous.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Like, look at it from the brown standpoint.
- 4:21Speaker 1: They're bad, They're trying to get a top five pick,
- 4:24Speaker 1: and the Bengals were rivaling them for a top five
- 4:27Speaker 1: pick without Joe Flacco, with Jake Browning there, what do
- 4:31Speaker 1: the Browns care if the Bengals wind up having a
- 4:34Speaker 1: better year because they got Joe Flacco. In the Browns minds,
- 4:38Speaker 1: in the mind of Andrew Berry, I don't want the
- 4:43Speaker 1: Bengals competing with me for a top five pick.
- 4:45Speaker 2: I'm trying to get a quarterback.
- 4:46Speaker 1: I don't want the Bengals, who you know aren't gonna
- 4:48Speaker 1: take a quarterback, but still, I don't want.
- 4:50Speaker 2: The Bengals competing with me for a top five pick.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Let him be.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Let him get a few extra wins with Joe Flacco.
- 4:56Speaker 1: They're not gonna win a super Bowl. Let him get
- 4:58Speaker 1: a few extra wins. Who cares. You know, we're getting
- 5:00Speaker 1: a draft comp pick out of it. May not be high,
- 5:03Speaker 1: but we're getting some draft comp out of it, and
- 5:07Speaker 1: we got a chance to hurt the Steelers. So I
- 5:09Speaker 1: don't know why Mike Tomlin comes out and criticizes Andrew
- 5:12Speaker 1: Berry for that trade. Andrew Berry's not trying to help you,
- 5:16Speaker 1: Mike Tomlin. That's your rival, and it's not unprecedented. The
- 5:21Speaker 1: Eagles traded Donovan McNabb to their to the to the.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Washington everybody remembers that.
- 5:28Speaker 1: That's not unprecedented to trade a quarterback within your division.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Is there some unwritten rule?
- 5:34Speaker 1: So I thought it was kind of sour grapes on
- 5:37Speaker 1: Mike Tomlin's part. And I like Mike Tomlin a lot
- 5:40Speaker 1: because he's a great coach. But I didn't understand where
- 5:42Speaker 1: he was coming from on that. I don't think that.
- 5:45Speaker 2: The Browns are obligated to help the Steelers in any way.
- 5:48Speaker 1: And uh, you could see why Mike, Mike Tomlin was
- 5:51Speaker 1: upset because Flacco is good enough to get the ball
- 5:56Speaker 1: out to Chase, to get the ball to Higgins and
- 5:58Speaker 1: make the Bengals more competitive as this thing goes on.
- 6:03Speaker 1: And obviously the Bengals got a big win there they
- 6:05Speaker 1: beat the Steelers. I didn't love the Steelers at four
- 6:08Speaker 1: to one. If you follow my power rankings on phillyvoyice
- 6:11Speaker 1: dot com. I didn't have them as a top five
- 6:14Speaker 1: or even a top ten team. You know, they lost
- 6:16Speaker 1: a big game of Seattle. I thought they had kind
- 6:19Speaker 1: of a weak schedule so far, and I think that
- 6:22Speaker 1: they've got work to do on defense. They have not
- 6:24Speaker 1: been great defensively the way you expect the Steelers to be.
- 6:28Speaker 2: All year long. And that game against the Bengals proved
- 6:32Speaker 2: it all right.
- 6:33Speaker 1: So you got an early morning game again the NFL
- 6:36Speaker 1: still in London. You have the Rams playing the Jaguars.
- 6:39Speaker 1: This is a big game, a big game for Jacksonville.
- 6:44Speaker 1: They got to bounce back after they lost to Kansas, City.
- 6:50Speaker 1: So the Jaguars are a team that is now on
- 6:54Speaker 1: the road. They play in London a lot, so they'll
- 6:56Speaker 1: be used to it. The Rams they're hosting. The Rams
- 6:59Speaker 1: are a team that only loses when they beat themselves.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Folks.
- 7:01Speaker 1: They're a very good team. They only lose when they
- 7:05Speaker 1: turn the ball over. And I would think this is
- 7:08Speaker 1: a pretty big game. The Jags have played very good defense.
- 7:11Speaker 1: The Rams have good defense. Now Puka Nakua is not
- 7:15Speaker 1: gonna play for the Rams, and that's a big, big
- 7:18Speaker 1: loss for them. Is it a big enough loss to
- 7:20Speaker 1: say that they won't beat Jacksonville?
- 7:22Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 7:22Speaker 1: They are three and a half point favorites. The Jags
- 7:27Speaker 1: are a very strange team offensively, they have not come
- 7:30Speaker 1: together yet. You know, Trevor Lawrence has been okay, Travis
- 7:34Speaker 1: Atn has been good lately.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Lawrence is starting to get the ball to Brian Thomas more.
- 7:39Speaker 1: They're gonna be without Breton Strange, so that's a little
- 7:42Speaker 1: bit of for them, a missing piece of their offense.
- 7:46Speaker 2: I think that will have an impact on them.
- 7:49Speaker 1: I think the Rams right now are the type of
- 7:51Speaker 1: team that will only lose when they beat themselves.
- 7:53Speaker 2: When they turn the ball over. Now you take Nakula away,
- 7:56Speaker 2: it levels the playing field a bit for sure. But
- 8:00Speaker 2: the Rams were.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Playing some good football and I would not be surprised
- 8:04Speaker 1: if they came away with a win in that game.
- 8:07Speaker 1: New Orleans at Chicago, you gotta credit Chicago. I always
- 8:11Speaker 1: credit a team response to turnover, whether it's your turnover,
- 8:15Speaker 1: can you play good defense, or whether the other team
- 8:18Speaker 1: turns the ball over and opens up the door for you?
- 8:22Speaker 2: Can you take it? Can you walk in the door.
- 8:24Speaker 1: And that's exactly what the Bears did last week against
- 8:28Speaker 1: the Commanders.
- 8:28Speaker 2: The Commanders should have won that game.
- 8:30Speaker 1: They had a late fumble, gave Bears possession, Bears went down,
- 8:35Speaker 1: they scored, did what they had to do to win
- 8:38Speaker 1: the game.
- 8:38Speaker 2: So I give them a lot of credit for that.
- 8:42Speaker 1: And to me, the Commanders are a little bit like
- 8:44Speaker 1: that Rams team, where I say the Commanders should have
- 8:47Speaker 1: won the game. The Commanders turned the ball over. Sometimes
- 8:50Speaker 1: some of that is flukish. We saw that though, that
- 8:52Speaker 1: they turned the ball over last year three times in
- 8:55Speaker 1: the NFC Championship game. They're the team that is very
- 8:57Speaker 1: technically sound, very well coached, the Commanders. But if they
- 9:01Speaker 1: turn the ball over, they will beat themselves and that's
- 9:04Speaker 1: what happened.
- 9:05Speaker 2: So now you got the.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Bears at home welcoming the Saints. The Saints have played better,
- 9:09Speaker 1: Rattler has played better. They're a little bit more respectable.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Can they go into Chicago where they're four and a
- 9:16Speaker 1: half point dogs and win that game?
- 9:18Speaker 2: I don't think so.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I think the Bears are playing pretty good football right now.
- 9:22Speaker 1: I know Swift is a little banged up and he's
- 9:25Speaker 1: a big part. He was a huge part of that
- 9:26Speaker 1: win against the Commanders. If Swift doesn't play, I give it.
- 9:31Speaker 1: I say it's a little bit more of a level
- 9:33Speaker 1: playing field. But I still think the Bears are a
- 9:37Speaker 1: good team now. Dj Moore's all he suffered a very
- 9:40Speaker 1: strange groin injury in that game that win against the Commanders.
- 9:45Speaker 2: He may not play.
- 9:46Speaker 1: If anything, that just opens up the door for I
- 9:48Speaker 1: think Luther Burden, they're a nice rookie at a Missouri
- 9:52Speaker 1: to get more playing time. They're already getting very good
- 9:54Speaker 1: contribution from Rome with Dune Day. They're not a great
- 9:57Speaker 1: offensive team, and when they have Swift they're a little
- 10:01Speaker 1: bit more explosive, but they should be able to take
- 10:03Speaker 1: care of the Saints at Soldier Field in Chicago. Let's
- 10:07Speaker 1: go to if you're watching me at home, you see
- 10:10Speaker 1: I gotta look and check out because the screen on
- 10:13Speaker 1: my computer the Browns are at home. They're two and
- 10:17Speaker 1: a half point favorites over Miami. I mean, Miami is
- 10:21Speaker 1: just a bad team. They had the Chargers on the ropes.
- 10:24Speaker 1: I said last week, I thought that the Dolphins could
- 10:27Speaker 1: give the Chargers a really good game because of the
- 10:29Speaker 1: Chargers' injuries. They were depleted at offensive tackle, they were
- 10:33Speaker 1: depleted a pass rusher, they obviously lost their running back.
- 10:37Speaker 1: That was the week to go get the Chargers, and
- 10:40Speaker 1: the Dolphins went out there and gave it a good
- 10:42Speaker 1: go of it, but they couldn't get it done.
- 10:45Speaker 2: The Chargers won the game anyway, and now.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Miami's on the road against the Cleveland team that has
- 10:51Speaker 1: really good defense. They're struggling offensively, but they have good
- 10:55Speaker 1: defensive personnel. I think Miami's gonna really struggle to move
- 10:58Speaker 1: the ball. They're gonna try to the horizontal game. They're
- 11:01Speaker 1: gonna throw it to h and they're gonna throw it
- 11:03Speaker 1: to Waller a little bit.
- 11:05Speaker 2: They're finally getting.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Jalen Waddle involved as a number one wide receiver in
- 11:09Speaker 1: Tyreek Hill's place. But I think they're gonna struggle offensively
- 11:13Speaker 1: outdoors in colder weather against this Cleveland team. The only
- 11:17Speaker 1: issue I have is that the Browns just have no
- 11:20Speaker 1: way of scoring points. Quinn Shawn Judkins has looked good,
- 11:24Speaker 1: their rookie running back. Their offensive line has been okay.
- 11:28Speaker 1: You know, Gabriel has thrown the ball a lot more
- 11:30Speaker 1: than I thought he would in that offense for a rookie.
- 11:35Speaker 1: But I think in general that Cleveland might get themselves
- 11:40Speaker 1: a win here.
- 11:41Speaker 2: I can understand why they're two and a half point favorites.
- 11:43Speaker 1: And if you're the Dolphins, every week is Mike McDaniel watch.
- 11:47Speaker 1: And I think that if they lose to the Browns
- 11:51Speaker 1: and this is kind of an evenly matched team, the
- 11:53Speaker 1: better team to me is the Browns because they have
- 11:56Speaker 1: a better defense than Miami. Dolphins have a better offense.
- 11:59Speaker 1: But in a on the road, a defense in a
- 12:02Speaker 1: run game, I think are gonna win. I mean Cleveland's home,
- 12:07Speaker 1: I'm saying, but I don't think that Miami's ground game
- 12:10Speaker 1: will travel well. I don't think their defense will travel well,
- 12:13Speaker 1: and I can see Cleveland winning a very ugly I
- 12:15Speaker 1: mean the total is thirty five and a half here,
- 12:17Speaker 1: so I could see the Browns winning a very ugly, lopped,
- 12:20Speaker 1: kind of muck it up type of game. Titans. You
- 12:24Speaker 1: get to see. Titans now hosting the Patriots. The Patriots
- 12:28Speaker 1: are six and a half point favorites on the road.
- 12:31Speaker 2: The Patriots are playing well.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Drake May is emerging as one of the younger stars
- 12:37Speaker 1: in the league. The Titans, they're just trying to get
- 12:39Speaker 1: something going now. They fired their head coach, so Mike
- 12:43Speaker 1: McCoy is taking over. I think the I think he's
- 12:46Speaker 1: gonna play calls or they gave the offensive play calling
- 12:48Speaker 1: role to somebody else, not the offensive coordinator. So it's
- 12:52Speaker 1: a little bit of a weird situation going on in Tennessee.
- 12:55Speaker 1: We'll see if there's any upgrade in their passing game
- 12:59Speaker 1: with Mike McCoy. Mike McCoy wasn't our great head coach,
- 13:01Speaker 1: so I don't look at him taking over and say.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Oh, man, all the Titans problems are solved.
- 13:06Speaker 1: I think, you know, this will be an important game
- 13:09Speaker 1: for Vrabel.
- 13:09Speaker 2: It's his return to Tennessee.
- 13:11Speaker 1: He's got a nice you know, Patriots tene that's really
- 13:14Speaker 1: starting to click offensively.
- 13:16Speaker 2: I would like to see the Patriots run the ball
- 13:18Speaker 2: a little better.
- 13:18Speaker 1: I'd like to see Trevion Henderson finally get going. Romandre
- 13:23Speaker 1: Stevenson has been their top back and he puts the
- 13:26Speaker 1: ball on the ground too much.
- 13:28Speaker 2: Part of me is scared. I would be scared to take.
- 13:30Speaker 1: The Patriots a six and a half point favorites on
- 13:32Speaker 1: the road because of Stevenson's you know, you know, his
- 13:36Speaker 1: penchant for turning the ball over. But they are playing
- 13:39Speaker 1: well offensively. May is making some really nice plays. He's
- 13:43Speaker 1: clicking with Stefan Diggs, he's clicking with Henry So you
- 13:47Speaker 1: gotta like what you've seen from New England. This is
- 13:49Speaker 1: a good spot for them to keep the momentum going.
- 13:52Speaker 1: You know, they had that big win against Buffalo, and
- 13:55Speaker 1: you know it's Tennessee in a very lopsided AFC West
- 14:00Speaker 1: matchup the Chiefs. The Chiefs are so strange. They are
- 14:03Speaker 1: eleven and a half point favorites over Vegas. You know,
- 14:07Speaker 1: they're coming off that big win in which they were
- 14:09Speaker 1: underdogs at home against the Lions. I'm always scared when
- 14:12Speaker 1: the Chiefs are underdogs at home. They were underdogs at
- 14:15Speaker 1: home against the Eagles, earlier in the year they lost.
- 14:18Speaker 1: They were underdogs at home against the Lions and they won.
- 14:22Speaker 1: So this time now they go from being underdogs at
- 14:24Speaker 1: home to being favored by double digits, and rightfully so
- 14:29Speaker 1: against a very bad Las.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Vegas Raiders team.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Bowers has been banged up all year, so offense has
- 14:36Speaker 1: been difficult for the Raiders. They've gotten the ball to
- 14:39Speaker 1: gent but it hasn't been enough. They get the ball
- 14:42Speaker 1: to Meyer, Gino Smith has not played well. They really
- 14:45Speaker 1: don't have a great defense, so they're a team in
- 14:49Speaker 1: disarray right now. They need a lot of help, and
- 14:51Speaker 1: of course being on the road play in Kansas City
- 14:54Speaker 1: is not where you want to be when you're in
- 14:56Speaker 1: that situation, especially with the Chiefs team that gets where
- 14:59Speaker 1: she Rice back this week, So I think that this
- 15:02Speaker 1: is where the Chiefs start to make their move.
- 15:04Speaker 2: You beat the Lions, you get Rashi Rice back.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Starting to get healthier, starting to look better offensively with
- 15:10Speaker 1: your run game, and now you've got the Raiders who
- 15:12Speaker 1: you can romp on and start to make your momentum. Hey,
- 15:15Speaker 1: you know that one guy in the group chat who
- 15:17Speaker 1: hit a five leg parlay week one, and he wouldn't.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Shut up about it for the rest of the season.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Sounds like kaplan, right yeah, yeah, it could be him, It.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Could be you, and we would all want to be you.
- 15:30Speaker 1: My bookie makes it stupid easy to get in on
- 15:33Speaker 1: the action, whether it's College ball, NFL Super Contest and
- 15:37Speaker 1: Survivor pools. All the spreads, player props and in game
- 15:42Speaker 1: lines that.
- 15:42Speaker 2: You could want, all under one roof. What more could
- 15:47Speaker 2: you want than that?

- 16:13Speaker 1: in right now. No better place to play football is back.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Let's make some money with my bookie.

- 17:57Speaker 2: That's the Eagles. They are on the road against the Vikings.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Now, the Eagles are interestingly two and a half point
- 18:06Speaker 1: favorites on the road, So clearly I think Vegas, the
- 18:09Speaker 1: odds makers, they're all like us. They think that if
- 18:13Speaker 1: the real Eagles show up, that they are far and
- 18:17Speaker 1: away better than the Minnesota Vikings. The problem is, you
- 18:20Speaker 1: haven't seen the real Eagles any of the six weeks
- 18:23Speaker 1: that they've played, and so I get why Vegas would
- 18:26Speaker 1: be scared to favor the Vikings. But the Vikings are
- 18:29Speaker 1: playing better football. I haven't really beaten any powerhouses. They
- 18:33Speaker 1: haven't played the schedule that the Eagles have played. They
- 18:37Speaker 1: did have to play across the pond, which is difficult.
- 18:40Speaker 1: They're coming off their buy so they be fresh. They're
- 18:43Speaker 1: getting much healthier on both offense and defense. So a
- 18:46Speaker 1: lot of signs point to the Vikings being able to
- 18:49Speaker 1: win this game. But I don't trust them either. I
- 18:53Speaker 1: understand why they're two and a half point favorites. I
- 18:55Speaker 1: don't trust the Eagles. I think this will be a
- 18:58Speaker 1: sloppy game. I think whoever wins, I think if the
- 19:02Speaker 1: Vikings win, they come out of it feeling really good
- 19:03Speaker 1: about themselves no matter what the score is. I think
- 19:05Speaker 1: the Eagles could win an ugly game and you're still
- 19:08Speaker 1: wondering who they are. We covered the game more as
- 19:12Speaker 1: we always do in the Inside the Birds pregame show myself,
- 19:15Speaker 1: Adam and Greg Cosel. Should be an interesting game, though
- 19:19Speaker 1: I don't think it'll be a lopsided game. The only
- 19:22Speaker 1: way it's a lopsided game is if the Eagles just
- 19:24Speaker 1: put it all together and win this thing by ten
- 19:27Speaker 1: or fourteen points, like they're capable of doing if they
- 19:30Speaker 1: play a full on game. I'm worried about the jail
- 19:32Speaker 1: and Carter situation right Panthers at Jets. The Panthers are
- 19:37Speaker 1: one and a half point favorites. The Panthers have a
- 19:39Speaker 1: chance to go to four and two and now I
- 19:42Speaker 1: think and really get a winning record after beating the
- 19:47Speaker 1: Dallas Cowboys, which was a huge win for them, and
- 19:50Speaker 1: now they play a winless Jets team.
- 19:52Speaker 2: They're on the road.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Look, I know that the coach Dave Canalis, he's done
- 19:56Speaker 1: a really good job because that Panthers team has been
- 19:59Speaker 1: beat up on the offensive line, but they've run the
- 20:01Speaker 1: ball better. Than anybody in the sport over the last
- 20:04Speaker 1: two weeks. And surprisingly they've done it with ric o'dowdell.
- 20:08Speaker 1: And I know that Chewba Hubbard's supposed to be back,
- 20:11Speaker 1: and Canal has said Tuba Hubbard's gonna play, and I'm
- 20:13Speaker 1: sure he's gonna play. Folks, they're not taking the ball
- 20:16Speaker 1: out of Rico o'dowdell's hand now.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Now he may not get thirty touches per game.
- 20:22Speaker 1: They may mix chewba Hubbard in, but they are going
- 20:25Speaker 1: to give the ball to ric o'dowdell and see what
- 20:29Speaker 1: he does, because you don't do what he did accidentally.
- 20:33Speaker 2: I mean, this is not like a Bryce Brown.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Situation from the Eagles in what was that twenty eleven,
- 20:38Speaker 1: twenty twelve, I think it was the The old heads
- 20:41Speaker 1: will remember the Bryce Brown situation. Well, I think rico'daddell
- 20:44Speaker 1: had a thousand yard season last year for the Cowboys,
- 20:47Speaker 1: so he clearly showed you he has something. And right
- 20:51Speaker 1: now he is the backbone of their offense. And with
- 20:54Speaker 1: Bryce Young still kind of being skittish and not playing great,
- 20:57Speaker 1: they've got a ride ric o'dowdell in that run game.
- 21:01Speaker 1: But you hope that they can progress as a passing
- 21:03Speaker 1: team and benefit from what they've been able to do
- 21:06Speaker 1: on their ground with Rico Daddle opened it up a
- 21:09Speaker 1: little bit.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Ted McMillan. Xavier Leaguet still hasn't been.
- 21:12Speaker 1: A big part of their offense, but you'd like to
- 21:14Speaker 1: see that offense, pass offense come around a little bit more.
- 21:17Speaker 2: They should be able to beat the Jets.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Seamen's hurting right now, hurting in some key areas, especially
- 21:23Speaker 1: on defense. Giants at Broncos. Now, this game, four o'clock game.
- 21:29Speaker 1: As we get into the four o'clock games, this game
- 21:31Speaker 1: took on some kind of interest because Nick Benito tweeted
- 21:35Speaker 1: something like he's never seen such a delusional fan base before,
- 21:39Speaker 1: and then he wound up deleting it. Hey, the Giants
- 21:41Speaker 1: fans are feeling themselves. They're coming off a big win.
- 21:44Speaker 1: They got them mini bi They obviously beat the Eagles.
- 21:46Speaker 1: It wasn't pretty in the way that they beat the Eagles.
- 21:49Speaker 1: But Camp Scataboo, there's no doubt Camp Scataboo and Jackson
- 21:54Speaker 1: Dart they bring a little fire, they bring a little electricity.
- 21:59Speaker 2: They bring a little.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Bravado to a Giants team that hasn't had it you know,
- 22:05Speaker 1: Malik Neighbors has that kind of cockiness about him, but
- 22:08Speaker 1: they weren't able to win games with just Malik Neighbors
- 22:11Speaker 1: last year. And he's hurt right now and he's out
- 22:14Speaker 1: for the year. So you got this rookie tandem. You know,
- 22:19Speaker 1: Scataboo's running really hard. Jackson Dart is making slippery plays.
- 22:24Speaker 1: He reminds me a little bit of early Jalen Hurts,
- 22:26Speaker 1: kind of a scattershot thrower, but making defenses honest, stay
- 22:31Speaker 1: honest with his running ability, and he's got some moves
- 22:34Speaker 1: when he gets going.
- 22:34Speaker 2: Downhill, and they're able to move the ball.
- 22:38Speaker 1: I get why they why you want to have that
- 22:42Speaker 1: cockiness about you, But they're not going to beat the Broncos.
- 22:44Speaker 2: They're going to get foiled by the Broncos defense. I
- 22:47Speaker 2: believe that.
- 22:47Speaker 1: I understand why the Broncos feel like the Giants are
- 22:50Speaker 1: a little delusional right now. Broncos are really good now.
- 22:53Speaker 1: They they're not great offensively. They barely got by to
- 22:57Speaker 1: beat the Jets offensively, but their defense has been rock solid.
- 23:01Speaker 1: They rush the passer better than anybody. They're gonna give
- 23:04Speaker 1: Jackson Dart some fits, and they know how to rush
- 23:08Speaker 1: the mobile quarterbacks.
- 23:09Speaker 2: You heard me talk about that leading up to the
- 23:12Speaker 2: Eagles game. They are.
- 23:14Speaker 1: I can't see them letting Jackson Dart get fifty sixty
- 23:18Speaker 1: yards on the ground.
- 23:19Speaker 2: I think they're gonna be disciplined.
- 23:21Speaker 1: They're gonna try to keep them in the pocket and
- 23:23Speaker 1: then they'll try to collapse the pocket around him, force
- 23:26Speaker 1: him into a thrower. And he's not there yet, not
- 23:28Speaker 1: remotely close to being there yet as a thrower of
- 23:31Speaker 1: the football, especially, he's got no neighbors. We'll see if
- 23:35Speaker 1: Slayton can play. You know, it's nice that they have
- 23:37Speaker 1: won Dale Robinson. It's nice that they have got something
- 23:40Speaker 1: a little bit out of Jail and Hyatt, but they're
- 23:42Speaker 1: not offensively nearly good enough to be able to score,
- 23:46Speaker 1: you know, seventeen to twenty four points on this Broncos defense.
- 23:50Speaker 1: If it happens, it's a major letdown for the Broncos defense.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Colts at Chargers a good game. The Chargers are getting healthy.
- 24:00Speaker 1: We'll see if Joe Walt is able to come back.
- 24:01Speaker 1: They still don't have much of a run game. I
- 24:04Speaker 1: know Kamani Vidal came in and had a great game
- 24:06Speaker 1: against the Dolphins. Look, you're not playing the Dolphins. This
- 24:09Speaker 1: week you're playing the Colts, so I don't think the
- 24:11Speaker 1: run game is gonna be as easy. And honestly, they
- 24:14Speaker 1: really needed a huge play at the end of the
- 24:17Speaker 1: game from Herbert to mcconkeie to be able to beat
- 24:21Speaker 1: the Dolphins team. It was a great play. I give
- 24:23Speaker 1: them a lot of credit. They hung in there despite
- 24:25Speaker 1: all their injuries. You know, they're getting some guys back.
- 24:27Speaker 1: Kleil Mack is getting healthier. But I think it's gonna
- 24:30Speaker 1: be tough slating against the Colts team that is going
- 24:32Speaker 1: to run the ball with Taylor really well. They're gonna
- 24:36Speaker 1: play great defense, probably gonna be able.
- 24:39Speaker 2: To get to Herbert quite a bit in this game.
- 24:42Speaker 2: It's gonna be a tough game for the Chargers.
- 24:45Speaker 1: They are two and a half point favorites, but I
- 24:47Speaker 1: really like the Colts in this game.
- 24:49Speaker 2: Colts are playing really good.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Football commanders at Dallas. That is interestingly, the Cowboys are
- 24:56Speaker 1: one and a half point favorites.
- 24:58Speaker 2: This will be a big game for both. Both of
- 25:00Speaker 2: these teams.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Missed an opportunity last week to gain ground on the Eagles.
- 25:05Speaker 1: I thought that was a huge blown opportunity. I mean,
- 25:08Speaker 1: the Dallas Cowboys are a mess defensively and in the year.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Trayvon Diggs is going to be out for the game.
- 25:15Speaker 1: He suffered a concussion at home. He had some kind
- 25:18Speaker 1: of accident at home that caused a concussion. I feel
- 25:21Speaker 1: like that is something that only happens to a Cowboy.
- 25:25Speaker 1: What were you doing at home that you caused a
- 25:27Speaker 1: concussion and now you can't play?
- 25:29Speaker 2: So crazy thing there. I think the Commanders.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Are going to be very, very motivated to a evengs
- 25:36Speaker 1: the loss they had last year. I think it was
- 25:39Speaker 1: in Dallas around Thanksgiving time. You know, they shouldn't have
- 25:42Speaker 1: lost to Dallas last year. They did wind up not
- 25:45Speaker 1: hurting him too badly. I still obviously won twelve games,
- 25:48Speaker 1: made Dantasy Championship game, but they're a better overall team.
- 25:51Speaker 1: They should be able to move the ball even without McLaurin,
- 25:54Speaker 1: who's going to miss another game with that quad injury.
- 25:57Speaker 1: I just think if they protect the football and stay
- 26:01Speaker 1: on schedule, which they typically do, they should be able
- 26:04Speaker 1: to move the ball well. They should be able to
- 26:06Speaker 1: win this game. They're getting a pretty good edge rush,
- 26:09Speaker 1: and they're a better team top to bottom than the Cowboys.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Now I know dak is playing out of his mind.
- 26:17Speaker 1: I'd be surprised if he had another three point fifty
- 26:20Speaker 1: and three touchdowns against the Commanders, but he is playing
- 26:23Speaker 1: really well. If the Commanders lose this game, it's gonna
- 26:26Speaker 1: be because Dak continued to play out of his mind
- 26:29Speaker 1: and caught on fire and did some amazing things. But
- 26:32Speaker 1: the Commanders are the better team, and you know what,
- 26:35Speaker 1: they are road dogs here. Kind of like them to
- 26:38Speaker 1: win this game. Next game is Green Bay at Arizona.
- 26:43Speaker 1: I mean, the Cardinals are in all sorts of trouble.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Murray's been hurting, Marvin Harrison Junior had a concussion. The
- 26:49Speaker 1: Packers are playing great. They're seven and a half point favorites.
- 26:53Speaker 2: In this game. I like them.
- 26:55Speaker 1: You know, pretty soon they're gonna get Christian Watson back
- 26:58Speaker 1: and that's gonna be an even big addition to their offense.
- 27:02Speaker 1: They're playing good football offensively and defensively. I just I
- 27:06Speaker 1: don't think the Cardinals who compete. The Cardinals compete. They're
- 27:10Speaker 1: in nearly every single game, and they had a chance
- 27:13Speaker 1: to pull out the win last week against the Colts.
- 27:15Speaker 2: They did not.
- 27:17Speaker 1: They had a chance. They're in every game. But the Packers,
- 27:21Speaker 1: to me, are too strong of a team. They're gonna
- 27:23Speaker 1: win this game. I think the seven and a half
- 27:25Speaker 1: point spread is pretty fair. Even though the Cardinals are
- 27:28Speaker 1: in every game, they just don't have enough offensively. I
- 27:31Speaker 1: think the Cardinals to be able to compete with the Packers,
- 27:34Speaker 1: although I said that last week and they competed with
- 27:36Speaker 1: the Colts. But the Packers are a really well coached team,
- 27:39Speaker 1: and right now Arizona is just struggling. The Falcons are
- 27:44Speaker 1: at the forty nine ers really good game here.
- 27:45Speaker 2: This is the Sunday night eight o'clock game.
- 27:48Speaker 1: I kind of buried the Falcons when they lost thirty
- 27:50Speaker 1: to nothing I think in Week three to the Panthers.
- 27:54Speaker 1: But I gotta admit they have come back strong. They
- 27:56Speaker 1: have played great defense, they're getting a pass rush finally,
- 28:01Speaker 1: and they're playing a forty nine Ers team that is
- 28:04Speaker 1: really really playing well despite their injuries. You know, the
- 28:08Speaker 1: forty nine ers are banged up. It looks like it's
- 28:10Speaker 1: gonna be Mac Jones again. Kittle close to coming back.
- 28:14Speaker 1: We'll see. Piersall has been out. We'll see, I mean,
- 28:17Speaker 1: once they get Piersall, Kittle playing alongside McCaffrey, once they
- 28:22Speaker 1: get Juwan Johnson, healthy. When Au comes back, I think
- 28:26Speaker 1: the Niners are gonna be able to take off. They
- 28:28Speaker 1: have hung in there and this will be a good game.
- 28:30Speaker 1: But the Falcons are playing pretty good football. They're playing
- 28:33Speaker 1: very good defense. They are one and a half point
- 28:36Speaker 1: dogs right now. I think these are two evenly matched teams,
- 28:41Speaker 1: and the forty nine ers are at home.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Wouldn't shock me if they won this game. Wouldn't shock
- 28:45Speaker 2: me if either team win this games.
- 28:46Speaker 1: It's kind of kind of might be the game that
- 28:49Speaker 1: whoever has the ball last wins. I like what the
- 28:51Speaker 1: Falcons have been able to do lately. They're not getting
- 28:54Speaker 1: a great passing game, but Drake London and Michael Pennix
- 28:57Speaker 1: are connecting. Remember they haven't really had a number two receiver.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Pits has played all right. They have been out with Mooney.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Mooney has been hurt for them. He hasn't really made
- 29:09Speaker 1: a significant contribution. But they've been able to get by
- 29:12Speaker 1: on running the ball really well with Bijon Robinson. I mean,
- 29:15Speaker 1: Robinson right now is on a tear. I think Christian
- 29:19Speaker 1: McCaffery is probably jealous because you know, McCaffrey's been a
- 29:23Speaker 1: great player catching the ball, but running he's been really
- 29:26Speaker 1: struggling to find running leans. I think he's under excuse me,
- 29:29Speaker 1: under four yards per carrying. Meanwhile, Robinson and Algier are
- 29:33Speaker 1: taking turns just carving up defenses in the run game.
- 29:37Speaker 1: So this will be a game between two of the
- 29:39Speaker 1: NFL's best running backs. It's honestly, it's a coin flip.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Wouldn't surprise me whichever team won. If I were betting person,
- 29:47Speaker 1: I would not. I would avoid this game because I
- 29:50Speaker 1: think either team could win if I put a gun
- 29:52Speaker 1: to my head.
- 29:53Speaker 2: I guess the Niners are at home.
- 29:55Speaker 1: They've played really good football, They've won some games that
- 29:57Speaker 1: they shouldn't win.
- 30:00Speaker 2: The Niners are hanging in there, and if.
- 30:02Speaker 1: They do get a little healthier for this game, I
- 30:04Speaker 1: could see them pulling it out.
- 30:06Speaker 2: You get two Monday night games again.
- 30:07Speaker 1: I'm not quite sure why the NFL is trying to
- 30:09Speaker 1: force feed two Monday night games every week, but that's
- 30:12Speaker 1: what they're doing. Tampa at Detroit, this is this is
- 30:16Speaker 1: gonna be a great game.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Detroit.
- 30:19Speaker 1: Trot's a little banged up in the secondary, obviously, the
- 30:22Speaker 1: Bucks have been banged up with the receiving corps. If
- 30:25Speaker 1: Mike Evans can play it looks like Abuka is gonna
- 30:28Speaker 1: be a difficult make.
- 30:31Speaker 2: It doesn't seem to matter.
- 30:32Speaker 1: These guys lose guys all the time, and no Bucky Irving,
- 30:35Speaker 1: they're able to pull out wins. So Tampa Bay is
- 30:38Speaker 1: really playing very well. But I think for this game,
- 30:42Speaker 1: with the Lions coming home where they're a very very
- 30:44Speaker 1: good team, it would not shock me if the Lions rebounded.
- 30:47Speaker 1: They are five and a half point favorites. If they
- 30:49Speaker 1: rebounded from that loss against the Chiefs have won this game.
- 30:53Speaker 1: When they are at home, they get the ball, they
- 30:55Speaker 1: get the run game going with gibbson Montgomery, they get
- 30:58Speaker 1: Alman Ross, Saint Browning. In the intermediate game, they try
- 31:01Speaker 1: to the manufacture touches lately for Jamison Williams. I just
- 31:07Speaker 1: suspect that the Lions are gonna be able to put
- 31:08Speaker 1: it together and win this game. It would not shock
- 31:10Speaker 1: me if the Bucks won because the Bucks are playing
- 31:14Speaker 1: like the best team in the NFL right now. They're
- 31:16Speaker 1: number one of my power rankings, even though not quite
- 31:19Speaker 1: sure I see them there in the super Bowl at
- 31:21Speaker 1: the end. But I can't take away from what the
- 31:23Speaker 1: Bucks and what Baker Maconfield, Baker Mayfield have done. They
- 31:27Speaker 1: are clearly deserving of all the accolades they get right now.
- 31:30Speaker 2: If the season ended.
- 31:31Speaker 1: Today, they could have to give the MVP the Mayfield,
- 31:34Speaker 1: he's been that good, and then the last Monday Night
- 31:38Speaker 1: game would be the Texans at the Seahawks. Seahawks are
- 31:42Speaker 1: three and a half point favorites. I like the way
- 31:45Speaker 1: that Texas have played lately. Their defense has been great
- 31:47Speaker 1: all year. Their offense has come around, but they really
- 31:50Speaker 1: haven't beat quality teams. I mean the beating I think
- 31:53Speaker 1: the Titans and the Ravens. They're kicking a couple of
- 31:56Speaker 1: teams while they've been down. They really need a win
- 32:00Speaker 1: like this to show you that they're back. But the
- 32:03Speaker 1: Seahawks are playing on another level at this moment. I
- 32:06Speaker 1: know they lost to Tampa Bay, but that was a
- 32:08Speaker 1: shootout game.
- 32:09Speaker 2: They're a good team that run the ball well.
- 32:12Speaker 1: And right now, the connection between Donald and Jackson Smith
- 32:17Speaker 1: and Jigma has been unbelievable. It's probably been the most
- 32:20Speaker 1: prolific quarterback wide receiver tandem in the league. I mean,
- 32:25Speaker 1: the Seahawks don't really have too many other weapons. They're
- 32:28Speaker 1: just getting by. You know, they're running the ball well,
- 32:31Speaker 1: they get the ball occasionally they're Barner their tight end.
- 32:34Speaker 1: Their secondary receivers are Cup and the rookie Horton. But
- 32:37Speaker 1: I mean, right now, Sam Donald is just executing their
- 32:41Speaker 1: offense flawlessly and just so confidently pulling the trigger to
- 32:47Speaker 1: Smith and Jigma.
- 32:49Speaker 2: Obviously, the Texans.
- 32:50Speaker 1: Are a really good defense, and I don't think it's
- 32:52Speaker 1: gonna come that easily to Seattle, but they are at home.
- 32:55Speaker 1: This is going to be a very good game. I
- 32:58Speaker 1: think it's going to be a lowering game. I could
- 33:01Speaker 1: see either team winning it. But I tell you what,
- 33:03Speaker 1: if the Seattle Seahawks win this game, you gotta put
- 33:06Speaker 1: them right up there with the Bucks as the top
- 33:08Speaker 1: teams in the NFC. And if the Texans win this game,
- 33:11Speaker 1: I think it'll be their third straight and you'll all
- 33:15Speaker 1: I think it'll be up a turn of the corner
- 33:17Speaker 1: for them. They've won two in a row, but they've
- 33:20Speaker 1: not played great teams. If they win this game against
- 33:23Speaker 1: the Seahawks, I think you'll start to look at the
- 33:25Speaker 1: Texans kind of like you saw them at the end
- 33:27Speaker 1: of the season last year. Yes, maybe not great offensively,
- 33:31Speaker 1: but great defensively, great quarterback play, and you start to

- 36:17Speaker 2: So I did terribly last week. Again.
- 36:19Speaker 1: I was one and two on my picks, so I
- 36:23Speaker 1: am six and twelve for the season. I had the
- 36:27Speaker 1: Steelers covering the Browns six and a half. They were
- 36:29Speaker 1: laying the Browns.
- 36:30Speaker 2: I won on that, but I.
- 36:31Speaker 1: Took the Colts to beat the Cardinals by six and
- 36:33Speaker 1: a half lost on that, and I took the Cowboys
- 36:36Speaker 1: over the Panthers three and a half lost on that.
- 36:39Speaker 1: So amazing thing is in my pick them league, where
- 36:41Speaker 1: I have to pick every game, I am number two
- 36:44Speaker 1: or number three. But when I do this and I
- 36:47Speaker 1: only narrowed down to three, I'm not doing so well.
- 36:50Speaker 1: And I'm six and twelve, so I'll try to do great.
- 36:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna take Washington over the Cowboys in Dallas. I mean,
- 36:57Speaker 1: the Cowboys are one and a half point favorites, so
- 36:59Speaker 1: I definitely I think Washington can cover.
- 37:01Speaker 2: I think they can win that game outright. I like that.
- 37:04Speaker 2: I'm gonna go with another road team. I'm gonna go
- 37:07Speaker 2: with the Colts.
- 37:08Speaker 1: Who I lost on last week, but they are two
- 37:10Speaker 1: and a half point underdogs against the Chargers in LA.
- 37:14Speaker 1: But I like the Colts in that game now that
- 37:17Speaker 1: I did forget the Rams are I'm sorry. The Chargers
- 37:19Speaker 1: are gonna get Perriman back. He's a big part of
- 37:21Speaker 1: their defense. But I like the way the Cults are playing.
- 37:24Speaker 1: And I think that this Chargers team is still a
- 37:27Speaker 1: little bit beat up. And I wasn't that impressed with
- 37:30Speaker 1: their win over the Dolphins because the Dolphins are bad.
- 37:33Speaker 1: So you're telling me that the Cults are getting two
- 37:35Speaker 1: and a half, I'll take that. And then lastly, I
- 37:39Speaker 1: will take this one's tough. I'm gonna take the Browns
- 37:45Speaker 1: giving two and a half to the Dolphins in Cleveland.
- 37:47Speaker 1: I just don't think the Miami Dolphins are good. They're
- 37:50Speaker 1: not good enough to go on the road and play
- 37:52Speaker 1: against a Browns team that isn't very good, but I
- 37:56Speaker 1: think that, you know, it's about time for them to
- 37:58Speaker 1: get a win their home. They run the ball well,
- 38:01Speaker 1: and I think they'll be able to move the ball
- 38:02Speaker 1: against that Dolphins defense. So I will take the Browns
- 38:06Speaker 1: and the two and a half against the Miami Dolphins.
- 38:09Speaker 1: That's gonna be it a little shorter than normal. Apologize
- 38:12Speaker 1: for those who to watch on YouTube and watch the
- 38:15Speaker 1: car in the background here, but hey, I'm dedicated to
- 38:18Speaker 1: the cause and I wanted to get this show done.
