  I really feel like when you see him you just feel his love for

  Saturday I was wrestling all day outside in the sun and I was

  just like Sundays are tough, tough stretch for wrestling on a

  Sunday, we get that. But First Friday is coming up.

  And I think that's what definitely drew me to you.

  You generally love being there and that is something that I

  think a lot of wrestlers need to pick up again as well as me at

  one point in time in this industry is you could tell when

  someone's bitter or angry or they're just there to just to

  get through the motions. You generally enjoy being there,
• 5:20
  being around the fans, being talking to people like it's it's
• 5:23
  it's a good quality you have and don't ever lose that.

  Yeah dude, I like, I try to be like that.

  There's nothing I want to do in life where it's like I don't
• 5:31
  want to do it to the best of my ability.

  So if I'm gonna be a wrestler, like I want to be like a top
• 5:36
  level wrestler. So like, I've been going to
• 5:38
  training recently, like as soon as I was done with my school,
• 5:41
  and like all that obligations that I had to take care of.

  I have a gap here now. Before medical school, I was
• 5:46
  like, I'm going to commit my life to wrestling and just hang
• 5:53
  on. We're back.

  We're back. I was like, yeah, no, I'm just
• 5:58
  gonna commit my life to wrestling this year, whether it

  be like, you know, paying dues, training, any kind of thing.

  Like I've been doing that all this summer and I'm just gonna

  keep on trying to do it and you know, just keep putting in that

  effort and when it comes to like the stuff with the fans and all

  that stuff like. That's the part that, like, I
• 6:13
  enjoy the most. Like it looks like I'm having
• 6:15
  fun because I am really having fun when I'm out there.

  It's like it's the coolest thing to me.

  I'm like watching it back, especially like, you know, and
• 6:22
  I'm like chilling like the night of a show.

  I'm all beat up and whatever and I'm watching.

  I'm just like, there's no way that's me doing all that stuff

  like that's crazy. But it's just like the kid in me
• 6:31
  comes out watching like, you know, WWE has a little kid and
• 6:34
  we were talking before. I'm not even like that into like
• 6:37
  the major products right now. Like I'm aware of WWE.

  Their storylines. But am I catching every episode?

  No. Like, I still have a lot of
• 6:44
  other things I'm doing for my medical school application for
• 6:46
  wrestling, like I talked about. So I'm not really home like a

  lot watching all that stuff. But it's not like I wouldn't
• 6:53
  want to be at that level, you know?

  It's just I'm invested in the stuff that I'm in, right?

  Like if I'm on a show, I'm gonna watch like all of mine and my

  boys matches on the show, you know, stuff like that.

  the show heals? I know it's I have not that.

  So right now I'm in a situation where I don't have a lot of.

  The only streaming server has ones that people have.

  I have not seen it though. I heard good things though it.

  Is really good. So there's like this clip in the

  first episode of season 2, which just came out on Friday.

  And it's like when the guys first get it into the business

  and they're just like backstage, the brothers.

  And he's like, it's not stupid. And he's like, what do you talk

  about? He's like this shit we do is not

  stupid like. The the money we get from it, it

  doesn't matter. It's like the brotherhood, the

  fraternity, the comprotity that you have, Like, and that's like

  my favorite part too about showing up shows.

  It's just literally going up to everyone to be in like, what's
• 7:46
  up? Because like, I have memories

  with like every person on the show And when you're there for
• 7:51
  longer and you get to like work every person on a roster, it's
• 7:53
  so cool. Because then you have like a
• 7:55
  whole day you spent with that person bullshitting and talking
• 7:58
  while you're going over your match and stuff.

  But you become closer with that person in the process.

  And it's just like really cool thing to me.

  So yeah, it is definitely a really fun industry to be a part
• 8:09
  of. I was actually just talking a
• 8:11
  little bit with some of the people before our show yesterday
• 8:12
  and I was like, I don't get how you guys plan out a match in 15
• 8:17
  minutes and remember all of the spots or remember everything
• 8:21
  you're gonna do to to get to that point.

  I'm like, I I'm such an improv personally, even with the
• 8:26
  podcast, I have an outline in my brain and I sometimes I think
• 8:30
  with my guests, they get a little like he hasn't talked to
• 8:32
  me or we haven't figured things out because I'm just so on the
• 8:34
  fly and I I just have a conversation.
• 8:38
  But to translate that into just doing it on the fly in the ring
• 8:41
  is so crazy to me. And you can see when people try
• 8:45
  and then you can see when people are good at it.
• 8:46
  You know what I mean? Wow, they're just really flown
• 8:48
  with each other really well, the chemistry, it's just it's a fun
• 8:51
  business. It really, really is.

  With that being said, when did you fall in love with the art
• 8:56
  and the and the business of professional wrestling?

  Which your earliest memory as a as a kid saying this is, this is
• 9:02
  what I this is what I'm into. Oh, I remember like, like the

  first I've watched wrestling like ever since I was a little
• 9:09
  little kid. My dad was a fan, so I just grew
• 9:11
  up with it on the TV and stuff. And I always remember like.

  I would have the TV raw when it went to like 3 hours when I was
• 9:18
  a little kid because my bedtime was always 10:00 o'clock and I
• 9:20
  couldn't watch the 10:50 out. And I have like a distinct
• 9:24
  memory of like who I think it was like a Randy Orton mids cage
• 9:28
  match. And like it was the main event.
• 9:31
  I wanted to watch it so bad and I had to wait until the next
• 9:34
  day. And I went to school and there's
• 9:35
  a kid who was talking about it and like my 4th or 5th grade
• 9:38
  class and he ruined the ending for me.
• 9:40
  And I was so pissed off, 'cause I was like, I was gonna watch
• 9:42
  that the second I got home. A little wash there, but I've
• 9:48
  been into it for a while. I was at WrestleMania 27 as a
• 9:51
  little kid in Atlanta, GA, which is like, infamously one of the
• 9:54
  worst Wrestlemanias. But I had a great time.

  Like, it's a real experience to be there.
• 9:59
  So just like the spectacle of 100,000 people in a stadium
• 10:05
  watching two guys in a rig do like a.
• 10:08
  A choreographed performance was like crazy to me.
• 10:10
  But yeah, I've never been to a pay-per-view.

  I've only ever been to a RAW on a Smackdown.

  Yeah. I mean, pay per views aren't

  that special, but WrestleMania isn't like summer slams are

  special Rumbles my rumbles, my bucket list.

  Well, I've been to two rumbles. I went to the one where John.

  I went to two where John Cena won.

  One was in Madison Square Garden.

  I was like a little little kid. And then the other one was out

  in Phoenix, AZ. We went with my friend's dad who

  lived there. That it was like a really cool

  time. That's sick.

  It was like him and Ryback. So I was like, I mean, I guess

  John Cena, because I didn't wanna.

  I went to see him punk when I was a kid.

  I remember now. It's just like, I don't know.

  I don't know, you just pull stuff over there that I've heard

  about. I've heard memes about yeah, we

  When did you transition? Well, real quick before that

  growing up were you, were you someone who played sports?

  Were you someone who was athletic?

  What all sports? You're into I always played

  baseball until like high school. I played basketball like until
• 11:42
  college and soccer. That was it.

  Those three, I mean, that took up a lot of time on its own, but

  it was just always like really fun for me.

  I like basketball the best. Like, I still go out and play at
• 11:52
  the parks and stuff in Philly. At college, I wasn't good enough

  to be. Obviously a college basketball
• 11:57
  player, but I had some athleticism and I think that

  helps me in wrestling. Yeah.

  When did you transition from a fan of the business to I'm gonna
• 12:06
  go to a school, I'm gonna start training and I'm gonna become a
• 12:08
  part of this business? So I was, I'm really young for
• 12:11
  my grade and stuff I like kind of skipped like kindergarten or
• 12:15
  something. I don't know.

  They like, pushed me forward because they like wanted me to
• 12:18
  stay with the kids. I already do or something.

  But like, I was smart, so it didn't matter.

  And I was 17 years old when I started college out in
• 12:25
  Philadelphia. And I actually didn't turn 18
• 12:28
  until October 25th, which was like a good like 2 months into
• 12:33
  the semester cuz college. It starts at the end of August
• 12:35
  the semester. And I remember that the wrestle
• 12:39
  factory, Jakara, I was looking up one night.
• 12:41
  I was just like watching Braun smack down with my roommates and
• 12:45
  they were in wrestling fans. But like we were like maybe
• 12:47
  drink it or something. And I was like yo, I could do
• 12:50
  this. Like I know I could do this.
• 12:52
  Like, I've watched this for so long.
• 12:54
  Because like, there was a match on.
• 12:55
  And like, you know how when you watch wrestling for long enough,
• 12:58
  you know what's gonna kind of happen next to the match?

  So like, I'm calling, like, what's gonna happen next?

  And it's happened. They're like, yo, how do you

  know that? I'm like, because I've watched
• 13:05
  this shit my whole life, like, I know this, but then they were

  like, you should do it. So I was like, all right, I'll

  look it up. So I find this place sign up for

  classes because they started like, two days after I turned
• 13:16
  18, and you needed to be 18. And then I woke up in the
• 13:20
  morning with like, the confirmation e-mail.

  I was like, up. I guess I'm going to wrestling

  training. Ever since I didn't stop.

  Who was all part of your training when you were there at

  Monster Factory? No.

  Yeah, so it was really interesting because I was in a

  one-on-one class when I started, obviously, and Tony Cheney was

  in that class and he was one of the best people I could have
• 13:43
  ever met. I had no idea who he was, but I
• 13:45
  remember the first day of practice him coming.

  And being like, I just took like a suplex on a chair at a show
• 13:52
  yesterday and I was like super intimidated.

  I was like, my God, these guys are like way more advanced than
• 13:56
  me. I did not, but it was a
• 13:58
  one-on-one class. Yeah, So Tony Cheney, for those
• 14:01
  who don't know, he's actually the motion capture guy for the
• 14:04
  brand new wrestling video game coming up.
• 14:07
  The wrestling code, which is going to be really, really cool.
• 14:09
  It's a it's going to be a really good wrestling video game which
• 14:12
  is pretty much showcasing all independent wrestling.
• 14:15
  There's going to be some legends in there.
• 14:16
  So we could scratch that. It's like a it's like an indie
• 14:18
  show. You know the name comes in that
• 14:20
  draws the tickets but you're there to see the Indies and
• 14:22
  that's kind of how this video game is set up and Tony Cheney
• 14:25
  is the the motion capture guy for that.

  So all the the which Fun fact, the guy who's the most over
• 14:31
  right now in wrestling LA night has been the motion capture guy
• 14:33
  for most of the video games for there for a while.

  So Tony Cheney a cool name drop there.

  I like that one. Yeah, he's actually the one he
• 14:42
  brought me to, one of the motion capture things and I got to help
• 14:45
  motion capture DDP into the game.

  That was one of the coolest experiences and we did that at
• 14:50
  the Nightmare Factory in Georgia, which is like Cody
• 14:52
  Rhodes's school. Yeah, so that was all around
• 14:55
  really cool. We got to meet Kid Bandit too,
• 14:56
  if you know who that is, and train with him, yeah.

  Just like a whole bunch of really cool stuff.

  It was like, I'm trying to think there were some other people
• 15:05
  there too. I can't remember the names off

  the top of my head, but it was just a very, very cool

  experience. A lot of Waffle Houses.

  I've never been to a Waffle House before that that's your

  wrestling staple, right? Yeah, it was just cool.

  But yeah, Tony Sheen is a great guy.

  He got me like a lot of my first bookings, right, right after
• 15:21
  that. That was like awesome.

  And it was just like, really fortunate that I met him.

  Yeah. So I would think a lot of

  people, I'd say your biggest following comes from your time

  in the backyard, we'll say Now, when I say that, I don't say in

  a negative connotation. I mean Grimm's toy show, which
• 15:39
  is been, I think, a huge platform for you.

  How did you get involved with Grim and start working there?
• 15:44
  So that's literally Tony Cheney. I had never been like on shows

  or anything. I did the 101 class and that was
• 15:51
  it. Like Tony Cheney didn't do the
• 15:53
  201. He was just like there to, you
• 15:55
  know, learn a little bit. And he told me, like, I like to,
• 15:57
  you know, do seminars, do a couple week classes here and
• 15:59
  there, which I like, respect. That's, you know, a really smart
• 16:02
  approach to it. He's got a great wrestling mind.
• 16:05
  But I did like 201, three, oh, I went like all the way up to like
• 16:08
  501 or whatever. And then they were like, OK, you
• 16:10
  just gotta join like the regular class, like the weekly class
• 16:13
  now. So that happened in the middle
• 16:15
  of all this. COVID was going on.
• 16:17
  So everything got shut down, shows stopped running.
• 16:21
  And I was like. Trained at this point for a
• 16:24
  year. Like, decent enough to start
• 16:26
  doing like matches and stuff, but there was just nothing
• 16:28
  happening. There's a COVID and I'm on the
• 16:30
  boardwalk, the Jersey Shore boardwalk one day and just
• 16:33
  randomly I hear this voice and I don't know where I know it from,
• 16:37
  but I know I know it. And at that point I had also
• 16:40
  taken a picture and put it on my Instagram with the people in my
• 16:42
  class. And this guy went to high
• 16:44
  school. It was like, yo, that's Tony
• 16:45
  Jean. He's a wrestler.
• 16:46
  He does this and this. He's like, kind of big.
• 16:49
  And I remember watching some of the stuff and then I'm like,
• 16:51
  that's Tony King and I looked by me and the Tim right there, like
• 16:54
  getting tacos or something. So I go over and I'm talking to
• 16:57
  him and he's with like Zach Ruby and stuff.
• 16:59
  If, you know, that's another wrestler and they're like, yeah,
• 17:02
  yeah, we got this show tomorrow, you should come on by and see if
• 17:04
  you could help out. So it was like a GTS one.

  And I went by and they're like, yeah, we need a jobber for
• 17:09
  today. So I was the jobber and I job to
• 17:11
  this guy whose name was like something Moxley, like he was a
• 17:15
  job Boxley rip off of. Yeah.

  Billy, Billy, Billy Moxley. And yeah, it was actually like
• 17:22
  really cool because I was like never in a match before.
• 17:25
  And now I'm like on camera in front of, like, I think it got
• 17:27
  like 80,000 views, cuz that was like a big dude return to the
• 17:30
  Moxley guy. So it was just like a really
• 17:33
  cool thing. And then Grimm likes me.

  He's like, yeah, I keep coming around and you know, you get
• 17:37
  like a little bit more of an opportunity, a little bit more.

  And I guess he likes what I was doing.

  And then eventually I became like a mainstay on the show.

  Yeah, one of my favorite, honestly, my favorite things

  about Grimm is is you can watch that Channel and see names

  before their names. Like you can see like the Mjf's

  and like Thunder Rosa was already big, but like there's

  names that you can see that are on Grims that were that are now
• 17:59
  mega stars. But also I hear stories all the

  time where someone like like you are coming to the yard or now my
• 18:04
  buddy Precious just fresh. As fresh as you could be fresh
• 18:09
  as a Daisy. Enter Grim's backyard and he
• 18:11
  sees something in you or he builds a character off you and
• 18:15
  then you're a main stable for a year or two and he helps people
• 18:19
  get a following and people become fans.

  Like it's a I honestly, I really love what he has going on there

  and and I I you're one of the biggest products of that.

  Like you Corvis, Jay the Key like people who came from the

  the grim side of things and really make names for yourselves
