- 3:12bring in my guest, this guy I've been watching on the scene.
- 3:15I think the first time I've seen him was the first ever live GTS
- 3:19show. It was in a library and I seen
- 3:21him. I was like very impressed by
- 3:22him. Great look.
- 3:24He's one of those wrestlers that when you when you see him you
- 3:28could he bleeds. His passion for this business
- 3:31and I think it very it's it's it's probably his best quality.
- 3:34I really feel like when you see him you just feel his love for
- 3:37this industry. He has some of the best merch
- 3:39game in the game. We're going to talk about that
- 3:41very interesting person. I'm excited to learn more about
- 3:43him. Got a little bit behind the
- 3:45scenes when the cameras were rolling, so I'm excited for
- 3:47everybody else to pick that up as well.
- 3:49Without further ado, you get the cue that doom, doom, doom,
- 3:52Flash. I love that.
- 3:54Anyway, Flash Carter, ladies and gentlemen.
- 3:56What's up? What is going on, man?
- 4:00Thank you for doing this, man. I like I said, first time I seen
- 4:03you, I think was the library show and then I was booked a few
- 4:05other shows where you were at as well.
- 4:07You got to hang out the sanctuary.
- 4:09We missed you yesterday. I know I was thinking about
- 4:12coming, but I just credit with the night I had.
- 4:14Saturday I was wrestling all day outside in the sun and I was
- 4:17just like Sundays are tough, tough stretch for wrestling on a
- 4:21Sunday, we get that. But First Friday is coming up.
- 4:24So if you're free this Friday, come back out and hang out the
- 4:26sanctuary. I don't know.
- 4:29Keep an eye out for that. Yeah, but dead.
- 4:32Like I was saying, man, you bleed passion for this business.
- 4:36It's something that it's it's very evident when you, when you
- 4:39hang out with you, when you see you, the way you interact with
- 4:41fans, the way you you do all that stuff, man.
- 4:43It just really, really shines through.
- 4:45And I think that's what definitely drew me to you.
- 4:48Hold on a second. Check 1-2.
- 4:52You have a little bit echo going on.
- 4:55I think we'll be fine. I think we'll be fine.
- 4:58But yeah so that that's because that's the biggest thing I know
- 5:00is with you is just you you bleed for this industry.
- 5:02You're you seem like you're genuinely having fun.
- 5:04You generally love being there and that is something that I
- 5:07think a lot of wrestlers need to pick up again as well as me at
- 5:10one point in time in this industry is you could tell when
- 5:14someone's bitter or angry or they're just there to just to
- 5:17get through the motions. You generally enjoy being there,
- 5:20being around the fans, being talking to people like it's it's
- 5:23it's a good quality you have and don't ever lose that.
- 5:25Yeah dude, I like, I try to be like that.
- 5:27There's nothing I want to do in life where it's like I don't
- 5:31want to do it to the best of my ability.
- 5:33So if I'm gonna be a wrestler, like I want to be like a top
- 5:36level wrestler. So like, I've been going to
- 5:38training recently, like as soon as I was done with my school,
- 5:41and like all that obligations that I had to take care of.
- 5:44I have a gap here now. Before medical school, I was
- 5:46like, I'm going to commit my life to wrestling and just hang
- 5:53on. We're back.
- 5:55We're back. I was like, yeah, no, I'm just
- 5:58gonna commit my life to wrestling this year, whether it
- 6:01be like, you know, paying dues, training, any kind of thing.
- 6:04Like I've been doing that all this summer and I'm just gonna
- 6:06keep on trying to do it and you know, just keep putting in that
- 6:09effort and when it comes to like the stuff with the fans and all
- 6:11that stuff like. That's the part that, like, I
- 6:13enjoy the most. Like it looks like I'm having
- 6:15fun because I am really having fun when I'm out there.
- 6:18It's like it's the coolest thing to me.
- 6:19I'm like watching it back, especially like, you know, and
- 6:22I'm like chilling like the night of a show.
- 6:24I'm all beat up and whatever and I'm watching.
- 6:25I'm just like, there's no way that's me doing all that stuff
- 6:27like that's crazy. But it's just like the kid in me
- 6:31comes out watching like, you know, WWE has a little kid and
- 6:34we were talking before. I'm not even like that into like
- 6:37the major products right now. Like I'm aware of WWE.
- 6:40Their storylines. But am I catching every episode?
- 6:42No. Like, I still have a lot of
- 6:44other things I'm doing for my medical school application for
- 6:46wrestling, like I talked about. So I'm not really home like a
- 6:49lot watching all that stuff. But it's not like I wouldn't
- 6:53want to be at that level, you know?
- 6:55It's just I'm invested in the stuff that I'm in, right?
- 6:57Like if I'm on a show, I'm gonna watch like all of mine and my
- 7:00boys matches on the show, you know, stuff like that.
- 7:03Yeah. And do you watch Do you watch
- 7:04the show heals? I know it's I have not that.
- 7:07So right now I'm in a situation where I don't have a lot of.
- 7:10The only streaming server has ones that people have.
- 7:13It's free. You can when I go free right now
- 7:16though. Oh, really?
- 7:16I'll do what you. Yeah.
- 7:18I have not seen it though. I heard good things though it.
- 7:20Is really good. So there's like this clip in the
- 7:23first episode of season 2, which just came out on Friday.
- 7:26And it's like when the guys first get it into the business
- 7:28and they're just like backstage, the brothers.
- 7:30And he's like, it's not stupid. And he's like, what do you talk
- 7:32about? He's like this shit we do is not
- 7:34stupid like. The the money we get from it, it
- 7:36doesn't matter. It's like the brotherhood, the
- 7:38fraternity, the comprotity that you have, Like, and that's like
- 7:42my favorite part too about showing up shows.
- 7:44It's just literally going up to everyone to be in like, what's
- 7:46up? Because like, I have memories
- 7:48with like every person on the show And when you're there for
- 7:51longer and you get to like work every person on a roster, it's
- 7:53so cool. Because then you have like a
- 7:55whole day you spent with that person bullshitting and talking
- 7:58while you're going over your match and stuff.
- 8:00But you become closer with that person in the process.
- 8:03And it's just like really cool thing to me.
- 8:05So yeah, it is definitely a really fun industry to be a part
- 8:09of. I was actually just talking a
- 8:11little bit with some of the people before our show yesterday
- 8:12and I was like, I don't get how you guys plan out a match in 15
- 8:17minutes and remember all of the spots or remember everything
- 8:21you're gonna do to to get to that point.
- 8:23I'm like, I I'm such an improv personally, even with the
- 8:26podcast, I have an outline in my brain and I sometimes I think
- 8:30with my guests, they get a little like he hasn't talked to
- 8:32me or we haven't figured things out because I'm just so on the
- 8:34fly and I I just have a conversation.
- 8:38But to translate that into just doing it on the fly in the ring
- 8:41is so crazy to me. And you can see when people try
- 8:45and then you can see when people are good at it.
- 8:46You know what I mean? Wow, they're just really flown
- 8:48with each other really well, the chemistry, it's just it's a fun
- 8:51business. It really, really is.
- 8:53With that being said, when did you fall in love with the art
- 8:56and the and the business of professional wrestling?
- 8:58Which your earliest memory as a as a kid saying this is, this is
- 9:02what I this is what I'm into. Oh, I remember like, like the
- 9:06first I've watched wrestling like ever since I was a little
- 9:09little kid. My dad was a fan, so I just grew
- 9:11up with it on the TV and stuff. And I always remember like.
- 9:14I would have the TV raw when it went to like 3 hours when I was
- 9:18a little kid because my bedtime was always 10:00 o'clock and I
- 9:20couldn't watch the 10:50 out. And I have like a distinct
- 9:24memory of like who I think it was like a Randy Orton mids cage
- 9:28match. And like it was the main event.
- 9:31I wanted to watch it so bad and I had to wait until the next
- 9:34day. And I went to school and there's
- 9:35a kid who was talking about it and like my 4th or 5th grade
- 9:38class and he ruined the ending for me.
- 9:40And I was so pissed off, 'cause I was like, I was gonna watch
- 9:42that the second I got home. A little wash there, but I've
- 9:48been into it for a while. I was at WrestleMania 27 as a
- 9:51little kid in Atlanta, GA, which is like, infamously one of the
- 9:54worst Wrestlemanias. But I had a great time.
- 9:57Like, it's a real experience to be there.
- 9:59So just like the spectacle of 100,000 people in a stadium
- 10:05watching two guys in a rig do like a.
- 10:08A choreographed performance was like crazy to me.
- 10:10But yeah, I've never been to a pay-per-view.
- 10:13I've only ever been to a RAW on a Smackdown.
- 10:14That's. It really?
- 10:15Yeah. I mean, pay per views aren't
- 10:17that special, but WrestleMania isn't like summer slams are
- 10:20special Rumbles my rumbles, my bucket list.
- 10:24Well, I've been to two rumbles. I went to the one where John.
- 10:27I went to two where John Cena won.
- 10:29One was in Madison Square Garden.
- 10:30I was like a little little kid. And then the other one was out
- 10:33in Phoenix, AZ. We went with my friend's dad who
- 10:36lived there. That it was like a really cool
- 10:38time. That's sick.
- 10:39It was like him and Ryback. So I was like, I mean, I guess
- 10:42John Cena, because I didn't wanna.
- 10:46I went to see him punk when I was a kid.
- 10:48I remember now. It's just like, I don't know.
- 10:51I don't know, you just pull stuff over there that I've heard
- 10:55about. I've heard memes about yeah, we
- 10:59got a lot of people in the twist chat trolling.
- 11:02I love that. Please keep the engagement
- 11:04coming. I love it.
- 11:04You guys are killing it. Yeah.
- 11:06So you're probably seem like something like me as too you
- 11:09have a lot going on in the background.
- 11:11You see the Star Wars collection, the basketballs.
- 11:13I'm the same way man. It's it's it's a lot going on
- 11:16when you're trying to be involved with everything at once
- 11:20but the. Backdrop.
- 11:22I thought I could come up with, I love it.
- 11:24We we went over the all the who's all, all the balls that
- 11:26are autographed up there and it's it's very, very impressive.
- 11:29When did you transition? Well, real quick before that
- 11:32growing up were you, were you someone who played sports?
- 11:34Were you someone who was athletic?
- 11:36What all sports? You're into I always played
- 11:38baseball until like high school. I played basketball like until
- 11:42college and soccer. That was it.
- 11:44Those three, I mean, that took up a lot of time on its own, but
- 11:48it was just always like really fun for me.
- 11:50I like basketball the best. Like, I still go out and play at
- 11:52the parks and stuff in Philly. At college, I wasn't good enough
- 11:55to be. Obviously a college basketball
- 11:57player, but I had some athleticism and I think that
- 12:00helps me in wrestling. Yeah.
- 12:02When did you transition from a fan of the business to I'm gonna
- 12:06go to a school, I'm gonna start training and I'm gonna become a
- 12:08part of this business? So I was, I'm really young for
- 12:11my grade and stuff I like kind of skipped like kindergarten or
- 12:15something. I don't know.
- 12:15They like, pushed me forward because they like wanted me to
- 12:18stay with the kids. I already do or something.
- 12:20But like, I was smart, so it didn't matter.
- 12:22And I was 17 years old when I started college out in
- 12:25Philadelphia. And I actually didn't turn 18
- 12:28until October 25th, which was like a good like 2 months into
- 12:33the semester cuz college. It starts at the end of August
- 12:35the semester. And I remember that the wrestle
- 12:39factory, Jakara, I was looking up one night.
- 12:41I was just like watching Braun smack down with my roommates and
- 12:45they were in wrestling fans. But like we were like maybe
- 12:47drink it or something. And I was like yo, I could do
- 12:50this. Like I know I could do this.
- 12:52Like, I've watched this for so long.
- 12:54Because like, there was a match on.
- 12:55And like, you know how when you watch wrestling for long enough,
- 12:58you know what's gonna kind of happen next to the match?
- 13:00So like, I'm calling, like, what's gonna happen next?
- 13:02And it's happened. They're like, yo, how do you
- 13:04know that? I'm like, because I've watched
- 13:05this shit my whole life, like, I know this, but then they were
- 13:08like, you should do it. So I was like, all right, I'll
- 13:10look it up. So I find this place sign up for
- 13:13classes because they started like, two days after I turned
- 13:1618, and you needed to be 18. And then I woke up in the
- 13:20morning with like, the confirmation e-mail.
- 13:21I was like, up. I guess I'm going to wrestling
- 13:23training. Ever since I didn't stop.
- 13:26Who was all part of your training when you were there at
- 13:28Monster Factory? No.
- 13:30No, no. Wrestle factory.
- 13:31Not wrestle factory. Sorry, Wrestle factory.
- 13:33Yeah, so it was really interesting because I was in a
- 13:36one-on-one class when I started, obviously, and Tony Cheney was
- 13:40in that class and he was one of the best people I could have
- 13:43ever met. I had no idea who he was, but I
- 13:45remember the first day of practice him coming.
- 13:48And being like, I just took like a suplex on a chair at a show
- 13:52yesterday and I was like super intimidated.
- 13:54I was like, my God, these guys are like way more advanced than
- 13:56me. I did not, but it was a
- 13:58one-on-one class. Yeah, So Tony Cheney, for those
- 14:01who don't know, he's actually the motion capture guy for the
- 14:04brand new wrestling video game coming up.
- 14:07The wrestling code, which is going to be really, really cool.
- 14:09It's a it's going to be a really good wrestling video game which
- 14:12is pretty much showcasing all independent wrestling.
- 14:15There's going to be some legends in there.
- 14:16So we could scratch that. It's like a it's like an indie
- 14:18show. You know the name comes in that
- 14:20draws the tickets but you're there to see the Indies and
- 14:22that's kind of how this video game is set up and Tony Cheney
- 14:25is the the motion capture guy for that.
- 14:27So all the the which Fun fact, the guy who's the most over
- 14:31right now in wrestling LA night has been the motion capture guy
- 14:33for most of the video games for there for a while.
- 14:36So Tony Cheney a cool name drop there.
- 14:39I like that one. Yeah, he's actually the one he
- 14:42brought me to, one of the motion capture things and I got to help
- 14:45motion capture DDP into the game.
- 14:47That was one of the coolest experiences and we did that at
- 14:50the Nightmare Factory in Georgia, which is like Cody
- 14:52Rhodes's school. Yeah, so that was all around
- 14:55really cool. We got to meet Kid Bandit too,
- 14:56if you know who that is, and train with him, yeah.
- 15:01Just like a whole bunch of really cool stuff.
- 15:02It was like, I'm trying to think there were some other people
- 15:05there too. I can't remember the names off
- 15:06the top of my head, but it was just a very, very cool
- 15:08experience. A lot of Waffle Houses.
- 15:10I've never been to a Waffle House before that that's your
- 15:13wrestling staple, right? Yeah, it was just cool.
- 15:16But yeah, Tony Sheen is a great guy.
- 15:18He got me like a lot of my first bookings, right, right after
- 15:21that. That was like awesome.
- 15:23And it was just like, really fortunate that I met him.
- 15:26Yeah. So I would think a lot of
- 15:29people, I'd say your biggest following comes from your time
- 15:32in the backyard, we'll say Now, when I say that, I don't say in
- 15:36a negative connotation. I mean Grimm's toy show, which
- 15:39is been, I think, a huge platform for you.
- 15:41How did you get involved with Grim and start working there?
- 15:44So that's literally Tony Cheney. I had never been like on shows
- 15:48or anything. I did the 101 class and that was
- 15:51it. Like Tony Cheney didn't do the
- 15:53201. He was just like there to, you
- 15:55know, learn a little bit. And he told me, like, I like to,
- 15:57you know, do seminars, do a couple week classes here and
- 15:59there, which I like, respect. That's, you know, a really smart
- 16:02approach to it. He's got a great wrestling mind.
- 16:05But I did like 201, three, oh, I went like all the way up to like
- 16:08501 or whatever. And then they were like, OK, you
- 16:10just gotta join like the regular class, like the weekly class
- 16:13now. So that happened in the middle
- 16:15of all this. COVID was going on.
- 16:17So everything got shut down, shows stopped running.
- 16:21And I was like. Trained at this point for a
- 16:24year. Like, decent enough to start
- 16:26doing like matches and stuff, but there was just nothing
- 16:28happening. There's a COVID and I'm on the
- 16:30boardwalk, the Jersey Shore boardwalk one day and just
- 16:33randomly I hear this voice and I don't know where I know it from,
- 16:37but I know I know it. And at that point I had also
- 16:40taken a picture and put it on my Instagram with the people in my
- 16:42class. And this guy went to high
- 16:44school. It was like, yo, that's Tony
- 16:45Jean. He's a wrestler.
- 16:46He does this and this. He's like, kind of big.
- 16:49And I remember watching some of the stuff and then I'm like,
- 16:51that's Tony King and I looked by me and the Tim right there, like
- 16:54getting tacos or something. So I go over and I'm talking to
- 16:57him and he's with like Zach Ruby and stuff.
- 16:59If, you know, that's another wrestler and they're like, yeah,
- 17:02yeah, we got this show tomorrow, you should come on by and see if
- 17:04you could help out. So it was like a GTS one.
- 17:06And I went by and they're like, yeah, we need a jobber for
- 17:09today. So I was the jobber and I job to
- 17:11this guy whose name was like something Moxley, like he was a
- 17:15job Boxley rip off of. Yeah.
- 17:18Billy, Billy, Billy Moxley. And yeah, it was actually like
- 17:22really cool because I was like never in a match before.
- 17:25And now I'm like on camera in front of, like, I think it got
- 17:27like 80,000 views, cuz that was like a big dude return to the
- 17:30Moxley guy. So it was just like a really
- 17:33cool thing. And then Grimm likes me.
- 17:34He's like, yeah, I keep coming around and you know, you get
- 17:37like a little bit more of an opportunity, a little bit more.
- 17:39And I guess he likes what I was doing.
- 17:40And then eventually I became like a mainstay on the show.
- 17:43Yeah, one of my favorite, honestly, my favorite things
- 17:46about Grimm is is you can watch that Channel and see names
- 17:50before their names. Like you can see like the Mjf's
- 17:53and like Thunder Rosa was already big, but like there's
- 17:56names that you can see that are on Grims that were that are now
- 17:59mega stars. But also I hear stories all the
- 18:01time where someone like like you are coming to the yard or now my
- 18:04buddy Precious just fresh. As fresh as you could be fresh
- 18:09as a Daisy. Enter Grim's backyard and he
- 18:11sees something in you or he builds a character off you and
- 18:15then you're a main stable for a year or two and he helps people
- 18:19get a following and people become fans.
- 18:22Like it's a I honestly, I really love what he has going on there
- 18:25and and I I you're one of the biggest products of that.
- 18:27Like you Corvis, Jay the Key like people who came from the
- 18:30the grim side of things and really make names for yourselves
- 18:33out there. Yeah, Jay, the key First of all,
- 18:36shout out. That's my best friend right
- 18:37there. But um, no.
- 18:39Like what you just said is like spot on.
- 18:42And like that's why I hate anyone who will like shit on
- 18:45Grims or whatever. Because like whatever you want
- 18:47to say. Like at the end of the day, he
- 18:48probably pulls more views than like almost anyone.
- 18:51But like the big like 5 companies out there, you know,
- 18:54not only Precious is on GTS, but Precious is the tag and trios
- 18:59tag team in the same weekend. Yeah, that just happened.
- 19:05Wait, I don't know if that's posted yet.
- 19:09Never mind. Cut that.
- 19:11I don't know the schedule. I just heard about it.
- 19:13Yeah, that's why I was like, I don't know, Oops, cut that, cut
- 19:16that, cut that. My bad.
- 19:17Yeah, Precious is has been we're doing some stuff at GTS as well
- 19:21as a few people. And my man me and my main man
- 19:24Grim right now are the tag team champions over at GTS.
- 19:27If you want to just defend them. You gotta TuneIn to suck a slam
- 19:29though. Check out my app.
- 19:31My bad, I didn't know the recording schedule.
- 19:33I've been out of the loop. Maybe a teaser.
- 19:38Who knows that editing can run, Can't?
- 19:40Do that, yeah, yeah, My bad Grim.
- 19:43Don't, don't beat me up. I did a match for Rocket at
- 19:49Grim's last week that was really fun and I had this TV from my
- 19:53college dorm and I was moving out last week and when I was
- 19:57taking all my stuff out because my lease is up July today, July
- 20:0031st. The TV dropped and broke that I
- 20:03had for like 4 years. I was like, damn it, this broke
- 20:06TV. So I was like, you know what,
- 20:07I'm gonna bring it to Grims. So I had this match Rocket and
- 20:10Isaac site gets involved and he ends up doing this crazy like
- 20:14reversal onto me. And I went head first into the
- 20:17TV. It was the coolest thing like
- 20:18I've done and it was so soft. Like I was expecting it to be
- 20:21like maybe even like caught me. But I was fine and it was just
- 20:24like the coolest visual ever. So you guys got that out.
- 20:28If you haven't seen that, VTS is like really starting to get
- 20:30going now. We're gonna get this like core
- 20:33group that we have because we've been like struggling to keep
- 20:36like the same guys around and stuff.
- 20:38And I feel like if we have the group that we have right now, we
- 20:40can build a really cool product. Like there's some really good
- 20:43wrestlers there, the best there's been in a while.
- 20:45Yeah, Rat. And if you know him, Radley
- 20:47Belmont. Yeah, really.
- 20:50I I love how the the 570 scene our our 570 PA guys are making
- 20:54the trip down there because it's been something that we talked
- 20:57about for a while like. That once it like I feel like
- 21:01that jersey scene has been really, really good.
- 21:03And then I feel like our I'm very proud of our 57.
- 21:06I was seen. I think there's a lot of really
- 21:07talented people and I think that coming together has been really
- 21:10cool. And a really good indication of
- 21:12that has been places like GTS where you can see that mashup of
- 21:16really talented people down there killing it.
- 21:18Yeah, no. Like GTS has been like, really
- 21:20cool. Like, I mean, I go there one day
- 21:23and like wrestle like James Ellsworth.
- 21:25I go there next day and wrestle like Rocket.
- 21:27Like there's just so many different kinds of people that
- 21:29come through there. It's just like a hub for all of
- 21:31wrestling, you know? Yeah, it's beautiful.
- 21:34I feel like if you're on this like coast, like northeast side
- 21:38of wrestling and you're on the Indies, at one point you're
- 21:41gonna end up in Grims. Like that's just, God just goes
- 21:44like that, you know? Yeah.
- 21:45So when it comes to your merchandise game, I think that's
- 21:48another thing that really stood out to me.
- 21:49I I went to your shows and you have the flash sticks, you have
- 21:52the the foam fingers, tshirts. Where do you where do you find
- 21:56this? As as someone who sells
- 21:58merchandise, where do you go to get foam, custom foam fingers
- 22:01and light sticks and stuff? So I actually have like, a lot
- 22:05of my stuff. I get it from the same people
- 22:08that the New Jersey Devils use for all of their like,
- 22:11promotional giveaway stuff. I saw my that's like willing to
- 22:15do like custom orders if you order in bulk.
- 22:17So I I can show you right now our spare bedroom is just like
- 22:22600 of those film lightning bolts everywhere.
- 22:25We have to order like 1000 at a time to get the made custom.
- 22:29But eventually like, I mean, they go like I I always redock
- 22:33in my bag with them. That's like my #1 seller because
- 22:36it's like 5 bucks. It's a really cool little thing.
- 22:38You know parents like, all right, 5 bucks, I'll get it for
- 22:41the kid. They can hold up the phone, then
- 22:42they bop each other with it, whatever.
- 22:45But I think and it's like the lightning bolt, so that's like,
- 22:48you know, a different than a normal like foam thing.
- 22:50So it tracks eyes. Yeah, no.
- 22:53And here's the thing, too, is on the indie scene, they're
- 22:57starting to come back with signs.
- 22:59A lot of a lot of signs at wrestling shows.
- 23:01And they're coming back here, right here I got.
- 23:04One back. It's pulling out a sign.
- 23:15I haven't gotten all of them, but like, I usually take a
- 23:19picture or if they'll let me take them home.
- 23:21I have like a bunch of ones that I've taken home before.
- 23:23That's awesome. Cool ones like that.
- 23:26Like this one is like the UW C1. That's awesome.
- 23:32So you go to fans asking for their signs?
- 23:35No. Sometimes, like, they'll give me
- 23:37them and like, I'll just take them, 'cause like.
- 23:39Have you gotten a drawing yet? From Gavin maybe?
- 23:44Have you Have you heard? If you.
- 23:46If you haven't, that you, haven't you?
- 23:48Definitely. So Gavin's a little fan who goes
- 23:50to wrestling shows in our area, right?
- 23:52Yes. Yeah, Yeah.
- 23:53Yeah. I've met him.
- 23:54Yeah, you've made it when Gav, you get a hand drawn sign from
- 23:58Gavin, but yeah, so signs are coming back.
- 24:01But I think what makes you stand out too And people go wait a
- 24:04second during the match. Everyone was running around with
- 24:07these phone fingers and light sticks and you don't see those
- 24:10independent shows. That's just not an item you see
- 24:13around. And then you see on camera and
- 24:16photos these phone fingers and people going crazy.
- 24:18And I think that's another way people associate with you.
- 24:21And remember you as a talent is because that's such an odd.
- 24:24And unique item that you sell at your merch table that you sell
- 24:27cheap and you sell and then you do very well selling them that
- 24:30people like you know he's the kid with the phone fingers that
- 24:32was at the Mac. I've heard of people refer to
- 24:34you as that, like because of that, I think it's super smart.
- 24:38The craziest thing happens. So like I said, I'm always like,
- 24:42into what? How do I put this?
- 24:44Like I want to leave my mark on like the fans.
- 24:47So even if it's like the littlest thing, I have business
- 24:51cards that I'll give to kids because, you know, kids are
- 24:53always like, oh, I don't have money but I want something.
- 24:55So I'll be like, oh, you could take this and I'll even sign it
- 24:58for you on the back. So it feels like they get
- 25:00something while the only thing they're getting is like
- 25:03something promoting me, which you know, it's so cool they get
- 25:05like an autograph thing. But now they can look at that,
- 25:08follow me on wherever cuz I have all my socials on it.
- 25:11And sometimes like I'll just throw out the bracelets.
- 25:13I sell them for a dollar, but I I just throw them out when I'm
- 25:17walking out. Or at intermittent sometime.
- 25:19And I was at a club in Philadelphia after I took all my
- 25:23tests and everything, celebrating with my roommates
- 25:25and this guy comes up to me and like taps me and he's like, are
- 25:28you Flash Carter? And I was like, yeah, you know
- 25:31me and he just goes like this and he has my wristband on
- 25:35coolest thing ever. And I was like, shocked.
- 25:38That's sick. Someone in the chat.
- 25:41This happens a lot on the chat. I don't, I guess because we were
- 25:44we were mortal enemies for a while.
- 25:45But we have. Slowly we have become friends.
- 25:47But someone's already making a match here.
- 25:49They want to see Flash Cardiffer's Ricky Price.
- 25:52Oh, I've heard that a couple times this weekend.
- 25:54Yeah, I like Ricky Price. We could definitely do that.
- 25:56I got to get somewhere to book it.
- 25:58Maybe that first Friday at Sanctuary.
- 26:00If you guys both come on Friday, that could be a fun match.
- 26:04My buddy here saying I need to move the northeast area, the
- 26:06scene out there, some seems so much cleaner.
- 26:08We have great time out here, but there's some.
- 26:10But there's some sketchy people. He's from Kansas.
- 26:14Oh yeah, those sketches everywhere.
- 26:16Leon the King says Flash stands out with the indie shows.
- 26:18I totally, totally agree. So one of the things, another
- 26:22question I like to ask is is something that I you see all the
- 26:25time or you hear about. Maybe backstage, but not so much
- 26:28as fans, but. When, when, when you're in a
- 26:31business or in your industry and you have that aha moment where
- 26:34you're training everything you've been doing, where you
- 26:36still have the nerves. I'm not saying the nerves go
- 26:37away, but you have that moment where you either work with a
- 26:40talent or you have a conversation with somebody.
- 26:41You just get that in ring time. You're like, everything just
- 26:44kind of feels like it finally clicks, like you have that, that
- 26:47snap moment where you're like, oh, I get this now, you know
- 26:50what I mean? Are you feel like you hit that
- 26:52next level? When has that happened for you
- 26:54in your career? Or has it happened at all yet?
- 26:58I think, like, you could say, like, there's levels to it.
- 27:01Like, I feel like I apply this to everything in life, not just
- 27:04wrestling, but like life is all about making mistakes and then
- 27:07learning and not making the same mistakes.
- 27:10So if I fuck up like one way in wrestling and like I get heat
- 27:14for something, like even if it's like the stupidest, littlest
- 27:17thing, you will not catch me doing that ever again.
- 27:20Like, I'm like very serious that I want it to become better.
- 27:23Like I was talking earlier better at everything I do and I
- 27:26feel like the best way to do that is just to look back on how
- 27:29you messed up in the past and make sure you don't do that yet.
- 27:32So every time, like met a new place training, I kind of feel
- 27:36like, oh wow, like this is a really interesting new
- 27:38perspective. Like something I would have not
- 27:41have thought of something that a place before has now taught me
- 27:43about because I did some time, like I said, I did like 2 1/2
- 27:46years at the wrestle factory. I spent like 2 months one summer
- 27:51at Creative Pro on Long Island, which was like really far away.
- 27:55And now, like I've been doing the last couple months at CZW,
- 27:58and they're really, really smart over there like Deshawn Pratt.
- 28:02Yeah, I love Deshawn. Yeah, dude, Deshawn is the best.
- 28:05And I was literally having this exact conversation with him.
- 28:07I'm like, I'm here cuz like, I want to get better.
- 28:10Like, I know that I don't know everything.
- 28:12I know that there's still so much for me to improve.
- 28:14I'm so young and there's like, I I can do so much more in this
- 28:18with the proper teaching and learning.
- 28:20And that's why I'm there and like.
- 28:22He's a good person to link up with if I was in the business.
- 28:25And Deshawn has said it on this podcast.
- 28:27He doesn't want any money. He just says pay me in sweat,
- 28:31come to the Dojo and pay me in sweat.
- 28:33And if Deshawn's willing to give you a free education and all you
- 28:36have to do is work your ass off, take that education cuz
- 28:39Deshawn's a good human. Hell yeah, dude.
- 28:42Deshawn is one of my favorite guys.
- 28:44Yeah. But no like just the time I
- 28:48guess spending there and then when.
- 28:49OK, when I do like the things I learn in training in a match and
- 28:53it goes like over really well, that's like one of those moments
- 28:56cuz I'm like, oh like damn, like they really do know like what
- 28:59they're talking about. And like obviously they do and
- 29:01stuff. But when you see it like
- 29:04executed good in a match or like that's just like crazy.
- 29:06To think I was just like walking through that in practice last
- 29:09week and now like we're doing this, this, this, and it's going
- 29:11the whole, you know, at 10 speed and it's looking crisp and
- 29:15everything. Yeah.
- 29:18That that I, it's I did everything you said that like
- 29:22the Long Island is easy. Like you're putting yourself in
- 29:25the right positions to get better at what you're doing.
- 29:27And it's just. I don't know, man.
- 29:28I think you're on a really, really good track.
- 29:30I'm super excited. I'm excited for you.
- 29:32Like, I don't know. I try, man.
- 29:33I try. I don't know.
- 29:34Like everyone's like, now starting to be like, oh, he's
- 29:37going to medical school. He's gonna be a doctor.
- 29:39No. Have something to fall back on.
- 29:41I know. I feel like really want to go
- 29:44for this. And like that's like probably my
- 29:46next big decision because, um, I still have to obviously see
- 29:49where I get into or not for medical school.
- 29:52But then if I do get into like somewhere far away, it's like,
- 29:55do I want to start kind of all over in a new place?
- 29:58Do I want to just keep it up? Like, I kind of want to say in
- 30:01this area, maybe like that's a thought and just like continue
- 30:05to do this because medical school is grueling and stuff.
- 30:08But like I would still probably be able to.
- 30:10What do you what do you want to do in medical school?
- 30:12Like what? What is your goal?
- 30:14Cardiology. So OK, I mean, really, like, I
- 30:17wanna be like a cardiovascular surgeon, but like, obviously you
- 30:21gotta get through medical school before you get to surgeon
- 30:23school. So it's one step at a time, you
- 30:25know. Yeah, that's at the end goal.
- 30:27Is there a reason why you picked that industry or field or that
- 30:30part of the body? I've shadowed like 4 different
- 30:33types of doctors now and it's just the one I found the most
- 30:36interesting. Like when they are like
- 30:37literally they do this. Do you know what a cardiac
- 30:41catheterization is by chance? It sounds.
- 30:45Intrusive. It's not at all.
- 30:48It's like one of the most common things, like so like a lot of
- 30:51old people, people who smoke cigarettes, get it.
- 30:54It's when you're like arteries start getting a little plaque
- 30:56and they start getting blocked. So you go for these tests and
- 30:59then if you get a certain a certain percentage back blocked,
- 31:04the doctor will be like, OK, we gotta put in what's called the
- 31:06stent. And it's just like this little
- 31:08balloon that blows up and it like opens up that artery.
- 31:12But the way they put it in is they go in through the artery in
- 31:15your thigh, your femoral artery. And they just put like a pipe
- 31:18cleaner looking thing and they shimmy it up there and they
- 31:20press a button and it blows it up and then they shimmy the
- 31:23thing out and then you're done. That's correct.
- 31:26Are you awake for it? You're under local anesthesia,
- 31:29so you won't remember it, but you'll be biologically awake for
- 31:34it, yeah? That's crazy.
- 31:35I think that's the artery in your leg that.
- 31:38I'm a Commanders fan, but back in the day when they had a
- 31:41different name, Sean Taylor unfortunately was in a home
- 31:44invasion and he was shot in that artery.
- 31:46Yeah. And he actually bled out and
- 31:47died. That's like a.
- 31:49So I guess that's the main one you go into, cuz I guess it's
- 31:51the largest one or something, right?
- 31:53Yeah, that's the easiest way to get up to all of these arteries
- 31:57up here, cuz a lot of the time they won't do a stent like I
- 32:01just said, unless it's almost 100% blocked, with the exception
- 32:05of the arteries that supply blood to the heart itself,
- 32:09because those are the most important.
- 32:10You got to keep your heart beating.
- 32:11I always, I always question like when someone's like I'm going to
- 32:14medical school, because obviously people just.
- 32:16Think of as a broad spectrum, but there's so many different
- 32:18things you could do. It's like, how do you go from,
- 32:20like, I want to do heart doctor, I want to do this to like, I'm
- 32:23gonna be the the butt doctor or the the PP doctor or, you know,
- 32:26I mean like you're like, well, this ain't working out.
- 32:28I'm gonna try this field. How it works, actually, is your
- 32:31first two years of medical school.
- 32:33You do each rotation, you go through eight different things.
- 32:36You have to do OB, GYN, you have to do psychiatry.
- 32:39You have to do Pediatrics. You have to do like internal
- 32:43medicine. So you get to go through it all.
- 32:45I just kind of, like, have the idea that I want to do it
- 32:48because I shattered those doctors and now it's like it
- 32:50into medical school. It's crazy.
- 32:51That's why I haven't been able to, like, be training like the
- 32:54last few years consistently as much as I wanted.
- 32:56I'd have to volunteer like 10 hours a week.
- 33:00I'd have to shadow doctors for the whole summer when I wasn't
- 33:03in school. Like, they just want you doing a
- 33:05ridiculous amount of stuff. I'm just so happy.
- 33:07It's like in the past now, and I actually have free time to do
- 33:11wrestling stuff like it's the best.
- 33:12Yeah, it comes down to those reps that you don't get good
- 33:15unless you get the reps, and obviously that's an industry you
- 33:17need to be good at. So you're gonna do a lot of
- 33:19reps? Like I said, it'll be like 12
- 33:22years before I get to be done with school if it goes the way I
- 33:25wanted to. Yeah, well, if as long as, as
- 33:28long as you can balance both and wrestling and and doctor stuff
- 33:31it's gonna be, it's gonna be successful for you.
- 33:34Well, let's get let's dive into the name here.
- 33:36Flash. Carter, how did you land on this
- 33:38name? How did it come about?
- 33:41Carter is the shoot middle name, so go put that on the GTS wiki.
- 33:45Go ahead, there's your little snippet of information.
- 33:48As I already spoiled through, right, They have that they have
- 33:51that I'm Jewish on there. I don't know how they even got
- 33:53that they got interesting. But yeah, no, that's my shoot
- 33:58middle name. And I was gonna go Jay Carter
- 34:00because my real name is Jared Carter.
- 34:03But someone was like, no, that's boring as shit.
- 34:06So I was like, alright, well what do we got?
- 34:08And then we were like thinking and thinking.
- 34:10And then this one guy had a keychain with the flash logo on
- 34:14it. He was like flash Carter.
- 34:16I was like, yes. Now, once you once you landed
- 34:19that name, did you become like, did you start looking into more
- 34:21like Flash comics, Flash TV, or do you just stay away from it
- 34:24because it's too much? Not really.
- 34:26I mean, like, yeah, like I always like laugh when like it's
- 34:29like something Flash now. But like, I actually watched The
- 34:32CW show for a couple years when I was younger, but I stopped
- 34:36watching it. And I don't know.
- 34:38I know they have like 5 more seasons now.
- 34:40Yeah, it started off really good.
- 34:42I like that kid a lot who played Flash.
- 34:44The only gripe I had with it is his.
- 34:46It seemed like he had a really big head and it looked weird in
- 34:48the costume. I like a Funko pop.
- 34:52He was. I don't know, he was a good
- 34:53flash. He was a good flash.
- 34:55He was. He was a good flash.
- 34:56They should use him for that movie they had.
- 34:58And not that creepy dude, right? Yeah, I heard he has a whole
- 35:01bunch of problems. Not just like, Oh my goodness,
- 35:04like drugs and like fucking weapons and all this stuff he's
- 35:07got, yeah. He got cancelled and everyone's
- 35:09like, who cares? It's like pro wrestling, you
- 35:11know, and just like, ah, come back.
- 35:14No, just no one talks about it. We'll just keep going, yeah.
- 35:18We'll just run it under a different name or something.
- 35:20Yeah, yeah. We'll just drop your last name.
- 35:23Nobody will ever know. Yeah, I'll just be fast, Carter,
- 35:27now. Yeah.
- 35:30So besides professional wrestling, what are some of your
- 35:33other passions? You said basketball and stuff
- 35:34like that, but if like what else are you into?
- 35:37Obviously you have the Star Wars thing.
- 35:38Are you a gamer or you read? I play only sports video games,
- 35:43so right now I'm playing a lot of MLB in the show.
- 35:45Okay, my Diamond Dynasty team is pretty legit, so no one wants to
- 35:50play me in that. I got the 99, Derek Jeter, you
- 35:53get forgetting like every card in the game.
- 35:55My little brother's a MLB streamer.
- 35:57Oh yeah, yeah. He's on Twitch.
- 35:59He goes by Captain Butters. I I've never, I don't even know
- 36:02if I have Twitch installed anymore, but you should tell him
- 36:04I want to play it because no one needs me dying.
- 36:06There you go and he there's another streamer that I found
- 36:09and I guess they became friends or they know each other but this
- 36:12I have found him on TikTok. It was so random.
- 36:14He plays MLB the Show and then like if something crazy happens
- 36:17to the game somehow he cuts to like a green screen at him in
- 36:21front of like the thing and he'll be like screaming at
- 36:23umpire like I'm park. I believe you missed that call.
- 36:26He's like such a crack. He'll be playing the game and
- 36:29then he'll cut and it'll be a screen of him on a green screen
- 36:32and the umpires are standing there in game and it's him in
- 36:34the game like screaming at the He's so wildly entertaining.
- 36:38I wish I knew the guy's name, but I see them on TikTok.
- 36:40But yeah, MLB The Show is insanely I don't have the
- 36:43patience for it. Baseball world of sports growing
- 36:45up. I don't have the hand eye
- 36:47coordination to hit the ball. And then when I finally do hit
- 36:50the ball, I grew up playing soccer, so I get bored standing
- 36:53still. I need to keep moving.
- 36:54You know what I mean? I'm the kid in the outfield
- 36:56picking daisies. That's me.
- 36:58I was so I was a catcher my whole life, so I was never
- 37:01bored, cuz I'm involved every pitch, you know?
- 37:03Yeah. And so that's like why I wanted
- 37:05to be catcher, cuz I used to play outfield and I would be
- 37:07like bored as shit, but I would be like to call the pitches and
- 37:10stuff. Then you're literally like one
- 37:11of the most important parts of the game, you know?
- 37:14Yeah. Now, who's your Who's your
- 37:16baseball team? I'm a Mets fan.
- 37:18I got, I was on the Mets game like 2 weeks ago.
- 37:22I went to a day game and I have this huge like probably goes
- 37:26like up to here, Mets cowboy hat, right?
- 37:29Like very obnoxious, very rambunctious.
- 37:31And then it was like a one o'clock day game we were going
- 37:34to and I went with my mom and I was like mom.
- 37:36You realize if it's like a blowout, like, I don't know if
- 37:38you know the Mets commentators, but like Keith Hernandez and
- 37:41Gary Cohen, they just start talking about the most random
- 37:44shit. And it's so funny.
- 37:46So I'm like, if I wear this hat and it's like a blowout game,
- 37:49there's a good chance I can get on TV.
- 37:51So they come back from commercial.
- 37:53It's like 6-1. And that's where losing.
- 37:55And the cameras just like, panned on me waiting in line for
- 37:58like a hot dog at Shake Shack. And then they see me turn around
- 38:02and I'm like, oh, what's up? And.
- 38:04I'm like did it. Stuff is the.
- 38:06Best now, Are you Are you from the Philly PA area?
- 38:10No, I'm from like Central Jersey.
- 38:11But I went to college. OK, Billy, so.
- 38:15Make sense? Say, if you live in the Philly
- 38:17area, how are you? How are you walking around as a
- 38:19that's dangerous? No, I actually got into a fight
- 38:22Opening day at the Mets Phillies game like four years ago with my
- 38:25dad. It was pretty funny.
- 38:27Oh man, I grew up in Pennsylvania and I'm not.
- 38:30I'm I none of my teams are PA teams.
- 38:32I I follow all the Washington DC, Virginia teams.
- 38:36That's that's respectable. That's respect.
- 38:38Yeah, a lot of, a lot of those teams, they're minor teams or
- 38:41they used to have training camps and stuff have all been like in
- 38:44Hershey, PA. And I'm close to that.
- 38:46So like the Nationals, the Hershey Bears are the Capitals
- 38:50all like? And then Washington used
- 38:52training camp used to be in Carlisle, PA.
- 38:54So that's kind of how I've gravitated to all the DC teams
- 38:57Penn State's medical schools in Hershey I applied to there.
- 39:00That's one of the ones like. Yeah, Penn State has a Really.
- 39:03Penn State and Temple are probably the two top 2IN PA,
- 39:05right? For medical well and then Mr.
- 39:09McCall at Upenn, they're Ivy League.
- 39:12Yeah, but I don't know. I don't want to be in Philly
- 39:15anymore. I want to get out of Philly.
- 39:17I got my car broken into like three times this year.
- 39:19I'm done with it. Oh, I don't tell me.
- 39:23I might be moving to Philly. Oh well, it's there's no there's
- 39:26good parts. Like South Philly is really
- 39:28nice. But like Temple, and
- 39:29specifically Temple's medical school, are in like, the two
- 39:32worst parts of North. Philly high crime, super duper
- 39:36high crime. There was a guy killed in front
- 39:38of my apartment this year. They had like the outline of the
- 39:41gun on the street for like 2 weeks.
- 39:44Wasn't there like a kidnapping or a hostage situation?
- 39:48Not too long ago, there was one time I was coming out of the gym
- 39:51because Temple has super nice gyms, right?
- 39:53Like, that's at least one thing. They have like swimming pools,
- 39:55everything you can imagine. And I'm going into Subway to
- 39:59get, you know, like a little protein after.
- 40:02And I'm going to walk out. And there's a cop like right
- 40:04there, he's like, you guys gotta stay in here.
- 40:06I'm like, why? And they're like, we have like,
- 40:08a guy who's holding up a store down the block.
- 40:10We're not letting anyone in or out of any of these stores until
- 40:13we get the situation under control.
- 40:15Those stuck inside the subway for like 30 minutes while they
- 40:18get this knucklehead out of the frigging like deli he was Wow.
- 40:21That's crazy. Yeah.
- 40:25And so any other interests or passions?
- 40:28Like I said, all sports, I'm all over the place.
- 40:30I'm a big Patriots fan. I've been to a couple Super
- 40:32Bowls, so I went to the one against the Eagles where we
- 40:36lost, and then the one against the Rams where we won.
- 40:38That one was a lot more enjoyable.
- 40:40Yeah, yeah, big Portland Trail Blazers fan, believe it or not.
- 40:45So I'm very upset Damian Lillard's leaving us, but I've
- 40:47been with them for like 10 years so I gotta stick with them, even
- 40:50if he knows. How do you land those, these
- 40:52teams all over the place? There's reasonings behind them
- 40:55all. So the Patriots when I was like
- 40:57a little little kid cuz my mom's a cowboy fan and my dad's and
- 41:01Houston oiler turned Tennessee Titan fan.
- 41:04OK, OK, We want you to pick one of these things.
- 41:07And they had like a case of every mini helmet.
- 41:09And I picked the one of the Patriots guy in like the
- 41:12three-point stance, you know? The broke the great logo, Great
- 41:15logo. So I picked that one and they
- 41:16just started buying me Patriots shit.
- 41:18And just so happened that I was born in 01, which is like when
- 41:20they won their first Super Bowl and like I was growing up on
- 41:24them losing 2 Super Bowls to the Giants.
- 41:26Those are my first memory. But I hate.
- 41:29They were like losers to me. They weren't winners until we
- 41:31started beating the Seahawks and the Falcons and all those.
- 41:34Could you imagine? Yeah, my team lost the Super
- 41:36Bowl, so they're losers. Come over to the Commander's
- 41:39side. Where you guys were just
- 41:42terrible, you still have one from the 90s, you can remember
- 41:46that's not that long ago. Yeah, I was alive for the when
- 41:49they beat the bills. I was very young, but I was
- 41:51alive for it. Yeah.
- 41:52See, I was had because, like, I was technically alive.
- 41:55I was 02 and three when the Patriots won their first three.
- 41:59And then they lost two to the Giants.
- 42:00And I was like, Oh my God, like they're never gonna win again.
- 42:03You're making me feel so great. Your whole dynasty, your your
- 42:06childhood was the entire Patriots dynasty.
- 42:08I know it's crazy. And I was sitting about it the
- 42:10other time. I was like, I'll never be able
- 42:12to watch a quarterback that's better than Tom Brady in my
- 42:15life. Like I've already seen the best.
- 42:17Because you'll never see a coaching coaching QB combo like
- 42:20that ever again. Just crazy.
- 42:22Like 10 Super Bowls. That's insane.
- 42:24It's it's unheard of. It is.
- 42:27But now them and then Devils and Mets, I like.
- 42:30Those are the local teams and I like Portland because when I
- 42:33started getting into basketball in like 2014, they were the team
- 42:37that drafted me in 2K. So I just like.
- 42:41That that's that's sick. Now we'll we'll end here.
- 42:44I I like, I like name dropping, plugging people, getting more
- 42:47names out there for people to be aware of.
- 42:49Who are some of your favorite matches that you've had in this
- 42:51industry, and who are some matches that you haven't had
- 42:54that you want? I'm very like against like
- 42:58putting out those lists and stuff.
- 43:00Like, I know everyone likes to put out their little list.
- 43:02I love speaking things into existence.
- 43:04You would not believe how many times people have said stuff on
- 43:07podcasts are on my podcast and it has come true for them.
- 43:10I'm just saying I'm not saying I have that much stroke.
- 43:14Maybe the universe listens. We'll start with the favorite
- 43:16ones, I guess. Let's see.
- 43:19Very recently, I think my matches at UWA lead, if you know
- 43:23that promotion have been like killing it had this crazy like
- 43:28half an hour TLC match with Eric Korvis.
- 43:30We just like, absolutely killed each other.
- 43:33That was awesome. He's really good, but I like, I
- 43:35like his brother Pete better. I haven't had a one-on-one with
- 43:40Pete, but one of my very first matches that I liked like maybe
- 43:44like 6-7 months into having my first match, it was me and Ace
- 43:48Hitman Jones. If you remember who he is.
- 43:51He was my tags and partner at UWC for a while against Tommy
- 43:54Salami and Pete Corvis and that was a really, really good match.
- 43:58That was my favorite like tag match I did in a while, but I
- 44:01had one against KTB. If you know him, he's really
- 44:04awesome. That was a great match.
- 44:07One against Joey Adams too, from UWA.
- 44:11I don't know. There's a lot of matches that I
- 44:12enjoy. There's something I definitely
- 44:14don't enjoy, those you'll never hear me talk about.
- 44:16But like, yeah, there's a lot I watch back with like fond
- 44:19memories. But there's always things I
- 44:21think I can improve on. Even in like my favorite matches
- 44:24where like everything is like click in, There's gonna be some
- 44:27way I go in the ring weird or I should have hooked him on this
- 44:32or not on that. Like just small things I'm
- 44:35always gonna find. You beat yourself up over, yeah.
- 44:38But like, that's like a good thing because like you can
- 44:41always find room to improve, like, and if you're like giving
- 44:45people room to critique then they'll give you critiques.
- 44:48So like, you don't want to have any.
- 44:50Yeah, like loose ends. Basically you want to tidy up
- 44:53everything you possibly can in a.
- 44:54Match, it's actually really good too, and I feel like Grimm's a
- 44:58good spot for that, as well as how I feel like how he said he
- 45:01felt he fell into like our area of people, like the people like
- 45:04that I work with a lot and I think what makes our area so
- 45:08good and our talent so good is we're.
- 45:10Unapologetic with each other like yo, you're mad sucked.
- 45:14Like you gotta fix this, this and this or like these are the
- 45:16things you should work on and that's good to be around.
- 45:19Like if but if you're not mentally ready for critiques it
- 45:23could be hard on you cause you think they're picking on you or
- 45:25whatever it may be. But that you need to be around
- 45:27people who are not just gonna be like, oh your match is great
- 45:29kid, You know what I mean? You're not gonna get bad.
- 45:31I won't lie. There was there was one time
- 45:33that because Grim is like that too.
- 45:34And like, that's like, how you be.
- 45:36Like, not that long ago, Grimm was like, you know, getting on
- 45:39me, he was like, oh, like, I feel like you gotta like, you
- 45:41know, give it a little more and stuff.
- 45:42And I like, it was like, you know, you're right.
- 45:44I do. And in the last couple matches,
- 45:45I've really been going hard there.
- 45:47But like, I've seen, like, him say to a guy before, like, we'll
- 45:51finish a match and he'll be like, yeah, like, I don't think
- 45:53I could post that. Like, that was just like, I'm
- 45:55gonna be honest, like the shifts.
- 45:57Yeah, Like and like, it's like, true.
- 45:59And it's like, you need to hear that sometimes.
- 46:01But, like, some guys just don't want to hear it.
- 46:03They'll just like, oh, just put it out anyway, Like you really
- 46:05shouldn't that out there. It's gonna look bad on your
- 46:08behalf. Yeah, and obviously it's his
- 46:10brand too, and he doesn't want to put out stuff that's bad.
- 46:12So yeah, and that's the other thing when people get snippy
- 46:15with him, I'm like, would you tell a Booker or a promoter?
- 46:18No. If they told you to do this,
- 46:20you're just a wrestler on his show.
- 46:22It's his booking and stuff. You gotta lift.
- 46:24Yeah, I always totally agree when people get ego Y like that.
- 46:29Like, I've never liked that with him.
- 46:30And I think that's why he doesn't mind when I'm like, yo,
- 46:32like it would be funny if we like, said this or whatever and
- 46:35then sometimes he'll throw it in, you know, like that.
- 46:37Remember I told you about the TV I brought?
- 46:40I was like grim when I grabbed this.
- 46:41You should be like Clash. We just invested the whole
- 46:44budget for the month into this. You can't do this to the TV, the
- 46:47brand new monitor. I was like, that was crazy.
- 46:50I laughed so hard. So matches that you haven't had
- 46:54that you want. Oh geez.
- 46:56I don't know who haven't I fought that.
- 46:59I know that I wanna fight. Is there like big?
- 47:02Is there like maybe names that are out there, like maybe big
- 47:06name guys that you've seen that you're like a fan of that you
- 47:07would like to work? They put me on the spot right
- 47:12here. Well, the one we definitely
- 47:15gotta get, we said before it we'll do me versus Ricky Price.
- 47:19A lot of those. A lot of those PA guys I know.
- 47:21I like to see you in Hawthorne or Robes.
- 47:24Yeah, yeah, I definitely wanna get Hawthorne again with robes.
- 47:27Definitely wanna get, let's see, like Corey Dillinger.
- 47:31Me and him need to get into one-on-one.
- 47:32If you know who he is trying to think what else I wanna do me.
- 47:38I was glad to see you and Rocket.
- 47:40Yeah, Ohh, there's a good one. one-on-one.
- 47:42Yeah, we need that on a live show.
- 47:44Definitely me and Rocket. We were supposed to add another
- 47:46place, but like they legit told us, they're like, yeah, we're
- 47:49gonna get you guys next month one-on-one and it just fell
- 47:52through and never happened, which sucks, but eventually
- 47:55it'll happen. You I think just putting over
- 47:57century a little hard here. I think you and Andre would be a
- 47:59good match as well. Yeah, definitely.
- 48:02Definitely. Like a lot of those guys there.
- 48:04And Xander was telling me he wanted to do some stuff.
- 48:07I was like, we definitely can, Precious.
- 48:11I don't know. We may or may not fight on GTS
- 48:13this week, so you might have that to look at.
- 48:15TuneIn, yes. But yeah, I don't know.
- 48:20Like big name guys, like I'm not gonna be a mark and be like, I
- 48:22want to like set problems. Like I'm not gonna be like that.
- 48:26I don't know. Is there like GCW guys out there
- 48:29that you're like, man, I I wish I can get to that level or work
- 48:31with those kind of guys. I think you don't they.
- 48:34They want to see you and you and Rocket in A tag team, dude, We
- 48:37we talked about it and like, we were thinking, but I don't know
- 48:40like the one place I was thinking doing it, he just
- 48:42turned heel at now. So I'm like, but we've been
- 48:47talking about that. I would love to team with
- 48:49Rocket. It's just the logistics behind
- 48:51it. We'd have to figure out like a
- 48:52company that would let us do it and shit.
- 48:54You gotta learn how to dance too.
- 48:57I tried to do a handstand. He did the break dance and then
- 49:00it was my turn cuz they were introducing me and I just did
- 49:03like a handstand. This is the only thing I but I
- 49:07don't know. Have you worked Quay yet?
- 49:07I don't know. We'll see I guess.
- 49:09I guess now that I'm at CZW, I wanna fight with like a lot of
- 49:12those guys too eventually. But they've been there for a lot
- 49:15longer, so I gotta put in my time.
- 49:18Mac Quay in a multi man match. But yeah, I do wanna eventually
- 49:22get him into singles. Yeah, we did a multi man in like
- 49:27Harrisburg, PA at this rwf. If you've heard of it.
- 49:30Yep, I've heard of it, yeah. I think my buddy Header was a
- 49:33champion there for a little bit, right?
- 49:35Yeah, Yeah. Him and Quay were trading off.
- 49:37It was me, Quay, Andy Header and Prince Piranha in that match.
- 49:41Okay. And then it sprung off into two
- 49:43singles matches, Me versus Piranha and Quay versus Header.
- 49:46Yeah. Didn't they do like a two out of
- 49:47three or something like that? Yeah, yeah, Yeah.
- 49:49So originally it was the four way for the vacant belt and they
- 49:53pinned the two of us at the same time like in A roll.
- 49:56Up. Gotcha.
- 49:56Gotcha. That went off and we went on.
- 49:58Yeah, yeah. Awesome, man.
- 50:00Well, listen, we're at that 50 minute mark.
- 50:02If anyone has any last questions or anything they want to put out
- 50:04there in the chat, please do. So now, Flash, while people are
- 50:08coming up with questions for you, is there anything you want
- 50:09to talk about? Anything we didn't cover.
- 50:11Anything you want to plug? I mean, I'm posting new matches.
- 50:16I'm trying to post new matches to the YouTube all the time, so
- 50:18you can always check those out. For clips, stay posted to my
- 50:22social media, I'm always posting where I'm gonna be.
- 50:24I'm booked out basically most Saturdays for the year, so I
- 50:28will be somewhere. I will be in your neck of the
- 50:30woods if you're around the Pennsylvania or New Jersey area,
- 50:34and if you want to come to your area and I'm not there, make
- 50:37sure to let your local promotions know and stuff.
- 50:39Cuz I get a lot of messages. Why aren't you here?
- 50:41Why aren't you there? Let them know you want me there.
- 50:44People don't realize they have a more power as the fans and they
- 50:47think they do. If you want to rest on a
- 50:50podcast, you want a wrestler on arrest a local show, tag them.
- 50:54Because especially if a promoters like oh who's this guy
- 50:56come and getting his name tagged all over the place, that that
- 50:59will change people's perceptions.
- 51:01You have so much power in the comments section that you don't
- 51:04realize you do 100%. Grim, grim versus flash card,
- 51:10they said. We did have a classic rivalry
- 51:14like two years ago and we we've been, we've been best friends
- 51:16for a while though. We're tag team champs and I
- 51:18don't see that ending anytime in the foreseeable future.
- 51:20So throw that away, throw that away, throw that comment away.
- 51:25We don't know. Have you worked J1 on one yet, J
- 51:28Evans? Yeah, yeah, Ton, yeah, we were.
- 51:32We were like, dude, we were in a rivalry at three different
- 51:36promotions at the same time in the spring.
- 51:39So we fought each other like four times in like 5 weeks once.
- 51:42It was crazy. Someone said he might be
- 51:44stepping away soon. Here he said he is, but he's
- 51:48still. I hate that.
- 51:49I hate that. I know I'll get him.
- 51:52I. Supposed to have him on this
- 51:53podcast but things fell through so he's gonna have to reschedule
- 51:56and get on it cuz people were really excited for that one.
- 51:58Yeah, you gotta catch him when he's not at the club.
- 52:01Yeah, he's a partier. So we were.
- 52:05We went out Thursday night because it was Italian night at
- 52:08our favorite club, which is like, come on, Italian night.
- 52:11We got it turned up. I had the hair slicked back and
- 52:13everything. And then Friday night we go out
- 52:16again and he was going out Saturday and then Sunday I
- 52:19couldn't use those. I was like, bro, I gotta, I
- 52:21gotta go home and wreck stuff. Greg said in the chat.
- 52:25How did you get hooked up with GTS?
- 52:26We kind of talked about that earlier.
- 52:28Tony Cheney put that together and kind of have it come in.
- 52:32I appreciate the comment, Greg. I was thinking of someone in my
- 52:35area that you'd like to work and Kenny Alfonso is the name.
- 52:38He's in the Kansas area. I'll have Dude, I would love to
- 52:42come out to, like, the Midwest. Yeah.
- 52:45That scenes blowing up the Midwest, scenes getting getting
- 52:48popular. Like, I mean, as I probably
- 52:50always is popular, but there's so much wrestling out there.
- 52:53It's so hard to consume and remember everything.
- 52:55That's why I like sometimes on social media, I see a post and I
- 52:57say something stupid and then I blow something later on.
- 53:01But I like, yeah, I really want to make a run for like PWI 500,
- 53:06but I feel like it's not gonna happen, definitely not this year
- 53:08because I had the wrist break, so I missed like 3-4 months of
- 53:12that. Yeah.
- 53:14And I don't know. I just feel like I don't do
- 53:16enough promotions that they give a fuck about.
- 53:18Well, you had an opportunity to be part of and you're still
- 53:23working with high tension and they had a laundry list of
- 53:26people that from their promotion that they have made it.
- 53:29Yes, they are absolutely are one.
- 53:31And I'm really upset because the last one that they were having,
- 53:33I was gonna come out to you and I think it got postponed or
- 53:35canceled or something. And the next one that they're
- 53:38doing is like the biggest show for one of my other ones I'm at.
- 53:42So I have to be at that one. Yeah.
- 53:44But I will be back there. I was talking to was it.
- 53:48I was talking to Alex and I was talking to Brian Ace, if you
- 53:51know him. Ryan.
- 53:53Oh, he was a guy I trained with for a really long time at the
- 53:56Wrestles. He's.
- 53:58Very impressive. I'm a big he is my man and he I
- 54:01brought him to GTS twice. I hope he comes more.
- 54:03He could definitely. He could definitely make a name
- 54:06for himself there too, but you could tell them I would love.
- 54:11Tried Have you ever tried the new new new new NE Wrestling Is
- 54:17promotion. No, new is like the the
- 54:19abbreviation. OK, Northeast Wrestling, I have
- 54:23not, but I will look into it. Once again, tag them.
- 54:27Tag them will let the promotion know you want flash card over
- 54:29there. Yes, absolutely.
- 54:31I want to get out to New York and get more up to the northern
- 54:34sections. You know, get all out.
- 54:37Yeah, there's so much out there, man.
- 54:38It's it's crazy New York. The New York scene is really
- 54:41doing well. I I would say if I was a
- 54:42wrestler, I mean commentary even or anything it just I wish I had
- 54:46a freaking car. But House of Glory is very high
- 54:48on my list. I would like to go see a show
- 54:52there or be a that's a every everyone I know that came out of
- 54:55that school have been class act people and I'm.
- 54:57I'm a fan of almost all of them that I've met.
- 55:01See, my thing is like I was at that wrestle factory for a while
- 55:04and then they moved way out into PA like probably kind of by
- 55:08where you guys are. And I was like, ah, when I'm in
- 55:11Jersey, like back home with my mom, it's like a four hour drive
- 55:14there. And I was like, I don't know if
- 55:15I can do that all the time. So that's when I started going
- 55:17to CW like a couple months ago. And I really wanna, like, stay
- 55:22there and commit there because I feel like you gotta be out of
- 55:24place for like 6 months to a year before you even, like get
- 55:28taken seriously, you know? Yeah well you have a lot in
- 55:31Jersey that choose from you guys.
- 55:31CCW got. Monster factory you got.
- 55:35Create a pro? Are they create a wrestler in
- 55:37Jersey? I know they switch it between
- 55:39the they are. It's something else.
- 55:43Wrestle pro or. Something wrestle pro.
- 55:45Yeah, yeah, a lot of good schools in that area.
- 55:47Same thing. Yeah.
- 55:48So anything else you wanna plug before we get you out of here?
- 55:51Like I said, the Instagram, Twitter or X, whatever they call
- 55:55it now those are all on the thing that I gave you, right?
- 56:00Yep, Yep. So that's like, I'm always
