A 25-year-old man, Diego Ulisses Diaz, faces murder and firearm charges after allegedly opening fire at a Fourth of July party in San Jose, killing 32-year-old mother Joselyn Martinez and wounding a friend. Diaz, a felon barred from guns, also faces vandalism charges after damaging a police car during his arrest.
