- 0:00Speaker 1: I am Sherry Mackie. It's time for us to go
- 0:02Speaker 1: to God in prayer, and as always, I invite you
- 0:05Speaker 1: to join along with me in prayer. You know, I
- 0:08Speaker 1: think about the Word of God where in Psalms he
- 0:11Speaker 1: promises to make us lie down in the green pastures,
- 0:14Speaker 1: and I want to live the Word and not just
- 0:17Speaker 1: read about it or hear about it. It's in the words,
- 0:20Speaker 1: so that means it belongs to me, and that's what
- 0:22Speaker 1: I want to pray about. Heavenly Father, Today we come
- 0:24Speaker 1: before you with hearts that are weary from carrying so much.
- 0:29Speaker 1: For so long, some of us have been running, striving, worrying,
- 0:33Speaker 1: and trying to hold everything together. We carried responsibilities, burdens, fears,
- 0:38Speaker 1: and uncertainties until our souls have become tired. But today, Lord,
- 0:44Speaker 1: we come back to your promises found in Psalms twenty three.
- 0:48Speaker 1: He maketh me lie down in green pastures. He leadeth
- 0:52Speaker 1: me beside the steel waters. Father, help us to lie
- 0:56Speaker 1: down in the green pastures that you prepared for us.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Help us to stop living in a constant state of
- 1:01Speaker 1: stress and survival. Teach us how to rest in your presence,
- 1:05Speaker 1: Teach us how to trust you enough to release what
- 1:08Speaker 1: we were never meant to carry alone. Lord, So often
- 1:11Speaker 1: we're busy worrying about tomorrow while you're trying to bless
- 1:15Speaker 1: us today. We're consumed the questions while you're offering us peace.
- 1:19Speaker 1: We're exhausted from trying to control outcomes that belong in
- 1:24Speaker 1: your hands. Forgive us, Father, for carrying burdens that you
- 1:28Speaker 1: have repeatedly asked us to surrender. Lead us God beside
- 1:32Speaker 1: the steel waters. Lord, Quiet the storms raging in our minds.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Calm anxious thoughts, Silence the voices of fear, doubt, and uncertainty.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Let your peace settle over our hearts like a gentle rain.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Let us experience the kind of rest that comes not
- 1:48Speaker 1: from having all the answers, but from knowing the one
- 1:52Speaker 1: who does. Or. Father, restore our souls, Restore the joy
- 1:55Speaker 1: that life has drained. Restore the faith that disappointments have.
- 1:59Speaker 1: We can restore the hope that waiting his challenged breathe
- 2:03Speaker 1: fresh strength into every weary spirit. And God, remind us
- 2:07Speaker 1: that you are still our shepherd, You are still our provider,
- 2:10Speaker 1: You are still our protective Lord. Help us recognize the
- 2:14Speaker 1: green pastures that you've already placed around us. Open our
- 2:17Speaker 1: eyes to your goodness. Help us to see the blessings
- 2:21Speaker 1: that we've overlooked. Oh God, the prayers that you've already
- 2:24Speaker 1: asked as the evidence of your faithfulness that's around us
- 2:27Speaker 1: each and every single day. And Father, when life becomes overwhelming,
- 2:32Speaker 1: remind us that sheep do not find green pastures on
- 2:36Speaker 1: their own. They follow the shepherd. Help us to follow you, God,
- 2:40Speaker 1: Help us to trust your leading, your timing, and your wisdom.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Keep us close to your heart and secure in your care. Today, God,
- 2:47Speaker 1: we choose to stop striving and start trusting God. We
- 2:51Speaker 1: choose to stop worrying and start worshiping. We choose to
- 2:54Speaker 1: rest in the promise that you are leading us exactly
- 2:57Speaker 1: to where we need to be. Oh, thank you Lord
- 3:00Speaker 1: for the green pastures, Thank you for the stilwaters. Thank
- 3:03Speaker 1: you for being the shepherd who lovingly cares for his sheep.
- 3:06Speaker 1: In Jesus' name, Amen, Amen, and Amen.
