2:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, pretty good.
2:04
[SPEAKER_01]: We're gonna melt again tomorrow.
2:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Like we're gonna have like a peak of another heat wave tomorrow.
2:09
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's gonna be like 36 degrees.
2:11
[SPEAKER_01]: So I will say I mean it's bad, but at least like it's better than it was in June because it's the days aren't as long anymore.
2:18
[SPEAKER_01]: That makes it a little bit more parable than
2:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Like in June it was really bad because that literally was like like the longest days of the year and I was like 40 degrees that was really bad like now it's bad But it's at least not like it's like 9 a.m. and it's the it's 9 p.m. and it's still like 38 degrees so it's bad but at least I think will live this time around
2:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, August is so weird because I was just actually noticing this like in the last couple of days all of a sudden in August when you're out, you're like damn it's not even eight o'clock in the sun starting to go down.
2:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that was the problem when they had with the solar clips two days ago.
2:58
[SPEAKER_01]: Right, because I was like, oh, it actually gets kind of hard to watch like in the city because like the sun is so far down already that like buildings are starting to block it if you actually want to see it you have to go either somewhere where you have like an obstructed view of the sun or you need to go like somewhere higher up to like actually like CD eclipse.
3:17
[SPEAKER_00]: mm-hmm.
3:19
[SPEAKER_00]: So this week, we'll have to start off with some reminisces of Dory Funk Jr.
3:24
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like his passing came at this weird point where everyone's given their sort of thoughts on him, uh, because it happened like right after I think we recorded if I'm not mistaken.
3:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
3:37
[SPEAKER_00]: And so, you know, I mean, I cannot be understated how important historical figure he is actually.
3:44
[SPEAKER_00]: He was historical.
3:46
[SPEAKER_00]: He was basically the employee of all Japan, progressing from like, it's founding to about like 1995.
3:52
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it probably still like gave him some money for it.
3:57
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like fake PWF rule, right?
4:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, up until it's death probably, right?
4:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, not that he probably gave him like a lot of money, but they probably were just like, hey, you're like, we can use your name for like our fake PWF things.
4:10
[SPEAKER_01]: He has a bit of money basically.
4:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
4:13
[SPEAKER_00]: So there's that long history.
4:15
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it kind of fascinating actually just a point of how important the algebra pan was because he was a booker in many places.
4:23
[SPEAKER_00]: He basically books the first starcade, but wasn't there because he went to wrestle the real world tag week.
4:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, well, you're going to make more money on the real world.
4:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's the other reason.
4:39
[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I mean, him and Terry were the sort of bookers of the foreign talent and I guess they both had hands on in the booking and all Japan itself, although I suspect that I don't know for sure.
4:50
[SPEAKER_00]: But I assume, Dory probably we did the more of the actual nitty gritty booking considering how much he did booking in the States as well.
4:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, probably like I think I think Dory always struck and maybe that's maybe that's just because of his wrestling side, but Dory always struck me more as like the organized between the two fangs right like where he's like he's like the guy that keeps track of things and everything like like Terry is the one that is like there was like just insanely dedicated to his craft and Dory was the one that that made sure that Terry actually got where he needed to be
5:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, that makes sense.
5:24
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Dory ran a school for many years.
5:26
[SPEAKER_00]: One of the great trainers of all time, I think, although it's weird, because obviously he had a hand in training jumbo, he had a hand in training.
5:34
[SPEAKER_00]: I think the rock definitely cur'd angle and lots of wrestlers, but he would always attach himself to these kind of crappy wrestlers that he would try to make like the own ace of the game.
5:45
[SPEAKER_00]: And conservatory, like, was it Adam Windsor?
5:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Is that who I'm thinking of?
5:49
[SPEAKER_00]: That he pushed for years and years,
5:51
[SPEAKER_00]: the guy never became much more of an indie name and was really only ever associated with the with Dory Funk.
6:01
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't remember his name.
6:02
[SPEAKER_01]: There was that guy that came over with Funk on his last tour of All Japan, that All Japan booked as well because of that, that I think he also was like, he was one of those like Dory guys as well that never made it either, but I don't remember his name at all.
6:17
[SPEAKER_01]: But he was like the most generic looking white guy you've ever seen.
6:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
6:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, Adam Windsor died in 2022 at the age of 0.
6:24
[SPEAKER_01]: I do not know that.
6:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
6:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
6:27
[SPEAKER_00]: It just says here on cage rats.
6:29
[SPEAKER_00]: What I assume means heart problem in German.
6:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, hairs problem.
6:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's not problem.
6:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Say it's a probably hard attack.
6:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I was only a 41.
6:39
[SPEAKER_00]: I did not, I did not realize that.
6:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I just, I just remember he was a like, you know, I mean the reality was it was all due respect.
6:45
[SPEAKER_00]: He was a bit of a running joke that he was like sort of like, Dory starts to start student.
6:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, oh yeah.
6:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Because he wasn't very good.
6:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Was it Dalton Drullick?
6:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah.
6:57
[SPEAKER_00]: That was his name exactly.
6:59
[SPEAKER_00]: He's listed at, oh, he's listed at like 65, 264, but he is just generic.
7:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Chubby white guy with a wallet.
7:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
7:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so that was sort of the thing there.
7:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously though, I mean, he was obviously very much also associated with Osama, Nishimaru, who was sort
7:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, and everything like that for years and years and, and Nishima made many trips to Florida and everything like that, um, I think, what did you think of his wrestling style?
7:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Because that obviously generates some discussion, especially even how animated Terry was in the ring.
7:41
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he wasn't like, like, I think that really was his main problem as well that like you just look at Terry next to him at Terry is just so much more like exciting and like literally every aspect of wrestling right and like funk wasn't bad and I think especially like because we have to remember as well like what era he actually like started often right like to be in kind of a
8:05
[SPEAKER_01]: lack of a better term like boring technician was just kind of a surefire way to become a star actually So like that's the route that he went down on and like being more like you know like wild and crazy and everything Wasn't really like a guarantee to be a star that was more like a way to like become a mid-codder So like Terry was the one that like like he kind of looked out and in so far that like in like the 80s and 90s
8:32
[SPEAKER_01]: That was a thing that was much more in demand and like being like, you know, like the straight-laced technician that Dory was.
8:39
[SPEAKER_01]: So like, I think he rightfully gets the rep for being boring, but like the era that he comes from being kind of technician being like boring in that way was an actual like way to success, so it makes sense why he went down that road.
8:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and that's who they were going to put the NWA title on someone with his sort of dependable skills.
9:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, depend, you know what dependable sounds much better than boring.
9:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, like, here's the thing though.
9:09
[SPEAKER_00]: If you actually like put him and compare him to some of his contemporaries, he is like relatively a speed demon.
9:17
[SPEAKER_00]: I would argue.
9:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yes.
9:18
[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, yes.
9:19
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think the destroyer is more falls more to that boring card than, um, funcdu, a dory funcdu.
9:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, no, I mean, going you watch the old destroyer stuff from a 60
9:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, for sure.
9:32
[SPEAKER_01]: I think with Dory as well, it's, I think what he really has, like I think his singles work for me is kind of like, he just kind of there, I think his tag works pretty damn great.
9:42
[SPEAKER_01]: Like the fangs are an all-time great tag team for a reason.
9:45
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think because they had such different styles, was the reason it worked so well, right?
9:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I had like Dory that was like slowing things down and then like Terry comes in and just goes absolutely Hawkewild.
9:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, okay, so like, in terms of like singles matches in Japan, I mean, Doris got the matches against Inoki and Baba, but then all of his other most famous matches are all tag matches.
10:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, faithfully.
10:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
10:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
10:14
[SPEAKER_00]: I still think, you know, one of the first things I absolutely did once I learned as passing as I re-watched that 1981 final match with the real world tag league, which I still maintain is one of the greatest matches of all time and the greatest jump angle of all time.
10:31
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's fair.
10:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean that is I mean it is straight up one of the greatest talk to match us all the time I think that's very fair to say and I was thinking about this and I was like wow This is also pops in my head.
10:44
[SPEAKER_00]: It is the greatest example I would argue about inside interference in a pro wrestling match ever because it is it is subtle
10:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it is.
10:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I mean, it's not subtle, but it's all they do is rush back is turned and the Brody throws Terry into Stan Hanson's Lariat, and that's the only bit of interference that Stan Hanson makes that entire match.
11:09
[SPEAKER_00]: and then Dory is forced to wrestle alone and then all the reg Attendants are outside on Terry, like pouring cold water up to his neck and he sells it like he basically broke his neck and everything and that's all there is to it.
11:22
[SPEAKER_00]: There was no second, third or fourth attempts outside the interference by Stan Hanson and if you watch that compared to today, it is that's why I called it subtle because it's not at all.
11:34
[SPEAKER_01]: It is also probably the most animated Dory has ever been in a match as well, right?
11:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Like because he basically goes, like, he basically goes Apshot as well, when he's just like, how can you let them get away with this?
11:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Like the way he is outraged and that match, like it feels genuine.
11:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Like it feels like it doesn't even feel like a word, it feels like he's just genuinely pissed off.
11:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, and that is what that actually got heard.
11:56
[SPEAKER_00]: He attacks Brody up to the bats too, or tries to, but he's like, too weak to like try it, but then gets stomps and more, right?
12:04
[SPEAKER_00]: So there's that.
12:05
[SPEAKER_00]: There's also the 1977 final match to the real world tag league, which is the match that basically turned the funk's baby face, which then against, I've do a little butcher in the chic, which, you know, at the time was a cutting edge and no pun intended match.
12:22
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there were a lot of cutting edge at the net match.
12:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
12:25
[SPEAKER_00]: And one of the reasons that holds up A is because of the front brother selling in of course, B, the crowd is absolutely insane and one of the hottest crowds you all over here.
12:35
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's a thing.
12:36
[SPEAKER_01]: If so, okay, if somehow you're listening to this, and you have never seen a fun brother smash.
12:41
[SPEAKER_01]: what are you doing but also be like you don't think you really have like an idea how loud the crowds in Japan were for these two guys for these let's be honest kind of sloppy looking white guys right like that's what they were like you look at them just coming out for these like matches and they don't look super impressive but like they're like obviously they're amazing wrestlers and everything and they have the crowds
13:08
[SPEAKER_01]: just they are willing to like like in fury if Terry told them to like attack whoever they were in the ring with they probably the entire crowd would have like rushed to ring to like help them.
13:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh for sure, sure.
13:21
[SPEAKER_00]: And then I mean like in terms of like the great matches, I mean there's the first Terry fucker Terry match against Stane Hanson and Terry Gordy, but that's really like the Terry Funk show.
13:33
[SPEAKER_00]: There's also the
13:35
[SPEAKER_00]: There's also the very first, there's the finals of the 1982 or the final max of the 1982 real world tag league, which is surprise, who's a brilliant stand-hands versus Dory Funk and Terry Funk, sort of like revenge from the year before.
13:50
[SPEAKER_00]: And then there's a bunch of funk versus Bob and jumbo matches as well that are worth.
13:56
[SPEAKER_00]: because basically the whole stretch from like 79 to 82 real-world technically, that's your like peak bunk brothers.
14:05
[SPEAKER_00]: Because the 79 finals is a butcher and in chic 80 is versus a jumbo and boba and that match won.
14:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Tokyo sports back to the year.
14:14
[SPEAKER_00]: 81 is the famous Stan Hansen debut.
14:17
[SPEAKER_00]: And then 82 is the sort of the Stan Hansen and and Brody versus the Funks.
14:23
[SPEAKER_00]: And then Terry does his first retirement in 83, which also leads sort of leads to Dory sort of also being sort of
14:32
[SPEAKER_00]: He's still like, uh, he's not like in the comedy match role by any means, but he's not really in the main events either anymore after Terry's first retirement.
14:41
[SPEAKER_00]: And then he basically hangs around in all Japan until 1985.
14:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody really knows the full story about this, but Meltzer's idea that, you know, Dory was in his 50s and he was one of the highest paid guides there.
14:53
[SPEAKER_00]: with my public wrapped up eventually, which makes a lot of sense, and then do you remember what he comes back to all Japan, like in the P.C.P.W.
15:02
[SPEAKER_00]: of President, is that like...
15:05
[SPEAKER_01]: I was relatively like, I was like 2,000 sometime I think.
15:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, no, because was it co-boshed the PWF president at one point?
15:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe.
15:14
[SPEAKER_01]: So, would it be like 2010's done?
15:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm thinking like, 14, 15.
15:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Basically, after everyone gets after Go leaves.
15:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Or sometimes, yeah.
15:24
[SPEAKER_02]: Isn't that when it happens?
15:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
15:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Or when it does make sense, yeah.
15:29
[SPEAKER_01]: or by dreaming up that cobaashi was even the PWF president and he just because he used to do like around the first burning era he did like a bunch of appearance after he I mean okay so like I'm just looking at it right now right and he starts getting like regular bookings and all Japan again from like 20-13 so I think that makes sense that that's about the time when he like becomes PWF like chairman right
15:55
[SPEAKER_01]: because he basically between like 20-13 until like 20-70 and it's like when he gets like at least like a couple of mattress a year and all Japan.
16:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
16:04
[SPEAKER_00]: And then noted that Baba in funk sort of had a falling out which after 95 and they never actually reconciled before Baba's death.
16:16
[SPEAKER_00]: And I do not believe that he was on the
16:24
[SPEAKER_00]: According to, according to some AI here is the list of PWF presidents, Lord James Blears, 1974 to January 2001, and that's Ariette.
16:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Dan Hansen, January 2001 to July 2007.
16:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Hiroshi Haase 2007 and to June 2013, now I knew he was a president, but I didn't realize he was president for that long.
16:48
[SPEAKER_00]: And then it goes to October 2013.
16:51
[SPEAKER_00]: So Kobashi never was the PWA president.
16:54
[SPEAKER_00]: He just like, you know, just going to be around in the suit around in that time, though.
16:59
[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
17:01
[SPEAKER_01]: And how's it going to be bothered to show up?
17:03
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm not saying what I've been more of an absentee president and Tory Funk was.
17:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I think I got that.
17:12
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you're right, but also Jesus, that's dire and like, like you're more absentee president and like the 75 year old who lives on another continent.
17:22
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, what do you think the XPW of president's going to be?
17:25
[SPEAKER_01]: That's actually, I don't know, because that's the other thing I was like looking at like food tree in the ring, and I'm like, this has to be really weird for him now, where it's just like, like he gets to that age now, where it's like he's kind of like the last one left, basically of his generation.
17:42
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I'm actually food tree, honestly, would make a lot of sense.
17:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, I mean, I know if it's a jet like if it's an age thing, but like because he's all he's older than, you're a scenario galo by like a number of years, like I think like a decade at least maybe a little more, but like you know, galo sort of swore off the whole retirement ceremony thing.
18:08
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm beginning to suspect that he, he as of that same old school mindset stop taking
18:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, I mean, he hasn't wrestled in a while either, yeah, I, I, I, I, I, I like until he like does something like I mean, I don't think of what was his last match, but like for me like, like spiritually for me his retirement match was like the match against Anne's eye that he had.
18:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, he has only had, um, I think it's like one or two since then.
18:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know what, that's better than like the last match some a lot of restless get Yes, actually Okawa right now.
18:58
[SPEAKER_01]: I can't really see Okawa.
18:59
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like Peter.
19:00
[SPEAKER_01]: We have president that would be kind of weird.
19:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah There's not a word okay, no, I mean Moodle still technically I think it's like a contract with Noah and I also don't think all Japan wants anything to do with him
19:12
[SPEAKER_01]: or pay him, pay him, that's the other thing it has to be somebody that they can also like a fort as well.
19:18
[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no.
19:18
[SPEAKER_01]: So I was still booking the kind of has some more of a snow as well.
19:22
[SPEAKER_01]: Could it be another fort enough?
19:24
[SPEAKER_01]: But then I would be at that level, right?
19:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Tio Kia.
19:29
[SPEAKER_01]: I actually know what, that's actually not a bad idea.
19:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Why not Kabashi?
19:36
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, it might as well just make it Kabashi.
19:38
[SPEAKER_01]: They're trying to think like Subama's still active, so he's obviously out.
19:43
[SPEAKER_01]: It gets a problem, a lot of them are still wrestling, so can we make somebody the Peter we have President who's technically still wrestling?
19:51
[SPEAKER_01]: I could see Sua in that role one day though.
19:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh no, absolutely.
19:55
[SPEAKER_01]: I think when Sua and I eventually retire as I think that just immediately going to be like, ah, just so happens.
20:00
[SPEAKER_01]: I will Peter, we have president, just present.
20:02
[SPEAKER_01]: So Sua must a new one.
20:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
20:05
[SPEAKER_00]: So I mean, I guess the kind of question is, are you know, are they going to announce it at Old Award?
20:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I mean, I would encourage you.
20:13
[SPEAKER_00]: If they have no idea who it's going to be, it's my guess.
20:17
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it might also be a thing that it was getting rid of it.
20:20
[SPEAKER_01]: But like, that's actually something that I forgot that we actually could have put on the ranch and I think maybe that's like a nice, like, lead over to it as well.
20:28
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like the whole, like, uh, all Japan, like, deep, like, company, like the independent company, kind of dissolving and getting merged into a whole, into like, one of like,
20:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you could read all about it in the on-to-paint channel on the discord.
20:45
[SPEAKER_00]: That too, uh, uh, it's special shout out to odd jobs who, uh, put, who posted that brought it to all of our attentions.
20:53
[SPEAKER_00]: But at the same time, it's a bit of a nothing burger.
20:55
[SPEAKER_01]: It is, it is.
20:56
[SPEAKER_01]: People were like immediately trying to like launch and to like like fear reason, but like if anything, like if you want to take anything away from them, it actually makes it significantly less likely that Fukuda is looking to sell the company.
21:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, because if he was then like this makes it a lot harder for him to do that like keeping it as a separate like subsidiary makes it much easier for him to just be like find somebody just like like hey you want to buy you like the subsidiary for me
21:26
[SPEAKER_01]: okay cool like like just on a legal level that is just a lot either to him for him to do then like if you were to sell now when he would then have to like extract like the assets put them in a new company and like you know like it's like it gets a whole lot messier than him just being able to be like hey I have this thing it's called all Japan it's the separate entity over here do you want to buy that so if anything this is a very big indication that he's not
21:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I mean, in many ways, why sell it?
21:58
[SPEAKER_00]: It's probably good for that too.
21:59
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that too.
22:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, why sell it?
22:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, that might also be the thing.
22:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's like, yeah, no, why sell it right now?
22:03
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, they have growing attendance every year.
22:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, they're just in the process of making a massive star, which who knows where that might lead in the future as well.
22:12
[SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah, no, like, why sell it right now?
22:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it would be stupid of him to do that.
22:17
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean given how like given what they they lost like I don't know like only like the thousands of dollars or something last time they've got to be a profit this year.
22:27
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah and also like if you actually looked at like the like financials of like the other like companies as well or like the basically like the entire whole things itself is profitable like the entire like like the entire
22:41
[SPEAKER_01]: is over profitable and actually I'm wondering if like the shrinking profits, sorry, the shrinking losses were like the reason why now he decided to actually do this because it might have been a thing of like, oh yeah, like this is no longer massive drag on my balance sheet anymore.
22:58
[SPEAKER_01]: I can just merge everything together now and like it doesn't look bad anymore which it might have in like previous years when the losses were much higher.
23:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, the, you know, I mean, yes, technically that out for the first time since 1972, I was a paid no longer, this has been independent company, but I mean, this is even the original.
23:18
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not the original company, that's the thing, that's the what that was my main complaint from like that original like, like Japanese article was like, oh, for the first time since 1972, all Japan does not exist, and it was like, that's not the same all Japan that exists right now, that original all Japan, like,
23:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's gone already like it's been gone a while here's the thing and I believe this is for tax purposes But don't quote me on this because I don't know the the fighter points of corporate tax on Japan But the original Alta Pan was actually three companies.
23:47
[SPEAKER_00]: It was out for most of the money It was a promotional company and Boba split this up intentionally.
23:53
[SPEAKER_00]: There's a promotional company It was the merch company and the I believe the ring crew was its own company as well
24:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, that sounds like a very Japanese thing to do.
24:05
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know, and I'm sure Boba just sat on the board to direct us all through this car.
24:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
24:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
24:12
[SPEAKER_00]: So I think when Moodle bought it, I'm not sure if what he bought.
24:17
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he bought the, I mean, he bought the wrestling company.
24:20
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure he bought all three companies.
24:22
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I'll probably not, yeah.
24:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I could see like to remember, but I don't go still on those belts, yeah, or at least a triple crown.
24:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, she's like those three still now to this day.
24:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, she's dead, but she's dead.
24:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but she's got it.
24:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was a niece or something that's still sort of somebody bankrolls this giant Boba company.
24:44
[SPEAKER_00]: I believe it's her niece, I think, and everything like that.
24:48
[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, there's still like a Boba legacy company that that is an existence that I would assume.
24:54
[SPEAKER_00]: And they do those giant Boba displays and everything like that.
24:57
[SPEAKER_00]: So I assume that they own the triple
25:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, fun off.
25:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
25:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but yeah, I mean, uh, you talked about Fuji, the last of his generation.
25:08
[SPEAKER_00]: How any true like show what stars are left?
25:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Because I think guys like Choshu and Fujidami sort of, um, straddle that line between arrows.
25:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
25:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
25:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Like what I think true show, it's like the funk's
25:23
[SPEAKER_00]: uh destroyer destroyer um uh I guess Hanson Hans one of the hits and still yeah um although if you want to talk about real stars of the 70s yeah I mean it it um yeah that's all it's about to say like 70s is a bit early for Hanson yeah I mean he's he's resting in the 70s and he doesn't because big star right until the end of the decade yeah um uh great co-geek no no it's not a star like he's definitely wrestling now and like he was in the big star
25:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, all those, most of those, I W, you guys are dead like mighty in a way, just died recently.
25:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, maybe it's probably a year ago now, I think, but, you know, in the last couple of years.
26:05
[SPEAKER_00]: So in a lot of ways, I'm just trying to think, yeah, there's no one else left.
26:09
[SPEAKER_00]: No one really left anymore, yeah.
26:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Trying to think.
26:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Abdullah the butcher.
26:14
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, somehow.
26:17
[SPEAKER_00]: How is Abdullah the one that laughs is the luckist?
26:20
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
26:21
[SPEAKER_00]: He like, yeah, he's been in an out of hospital too for like, the last couple of years.
26:26
[SPEAKER_00]: It's crazy.
26:27
[SPEAKER_00]: How he's how well he's have tough years to hang on like that.
26:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Actually, it's quite a price of
26:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but yeah, I mean, that sort of 70s show a peak show era that most of them are gone now.
26:37
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think door was sort of like a big, big element of that right, um, the, I believe now, well, I know, I know with Terry Funks passing the entire main event of the first ever all Japan show had was gone, right.
26:53
[SPEAKER_00]: First, made of end of the first album, Japan show was two of the three falls.
26:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Giant Boba and Thunder Sugiyama versus this is a very interesting team.
27:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Terry Funk and Bruno Samartino.
27:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, several of that, yeah.
27:07
[SPEAKER_00]: They're all gone.
27:07
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just, I guess, I mean, Brucci started in 1973, but he didn't even have any sort of noble push until the 80s, really.
27:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so, I mean, it depends when you count.
27:21
[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of sort of bleeding in that era, right?
27:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Because, I mean, Fujinami, I mean, yeah, Fujinami and Choshi both start, I think like, 72, 73.
27:33
[SPEAKER_00]: the 80s.
27:34
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm actually just looking at actually looking at something like similar right now because your thing reminded like made me think of something else and it's like going back looking through like the NWA champions, right like the old ones, like and basically there was like there's like a massive gap between like Dory and then the next one that is alive.
27:52
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean now I guess Dory is like like who's in the world?
27:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Who's in the world?
27:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Who's in the world?
27:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Who's in the world?
27:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Who's in the world?
27:57
[SPEAKER_01]: And no, it's, I'm going to give you a hint, the view of W Patreon covered him recently.
28:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh Tommy Rich.
28:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
28:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, he was taping before fire was, eh?
28:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
28:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, okay.
28:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Did not write like that.
28:12
[SPEAKER_01]: A couple of months, yeah.
28:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, okay.
28:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and then yeah, because Jack Briscoe's been died a while ago, she was like yeah, and then before that you have like guys like, you know, that have been dead for like a fucking while like drinking a ski and like face.
28:27
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I really racist it as well.
28:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
28:30
[SPEAKER_00]: No, yeah, that's that's the.
28:34
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm, you know, a true sort of closing of several areas like basically the last the last major star of the 60s like not like not even talking of like the like 70s, but like the last guy from the right as well.
28:48
[SPEAKER_00]: That's very true.
28:49
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't even think of that.
28:51
[SPEAKER_00]: I think more when he became because he's still.
29:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Definitely counts as one of the stars in the 60s, and yeah, he is he is the last big star of the 60s.
29:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Also, another guy that suffers from, I look like I'm 50 when I'm 28.
29:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah, absolutely.
29:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, yeah, you see him in the 70s and you're like, oh yeah, that guy has like 20 years, I guess.
29:21
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, nope.
29:22
[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, he was in his lane 20.
29:23
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
29:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so yeah, I'll be the true end of an era.
29:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, very, I mean, important, obviously functional for the show.
29:32
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, to me, if you sort of think about Dory's booking style, it is actually what I want out of perfection.
29:37
[SPEAKER_00]: That's like, yes.
29:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and let's go ahead.
29:41
[SPEAKER_01]: It's great forward.
29:42
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
29:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
29:43
[SPEAKER_00]: And, um, you know, I mean, the thing is, I mean, obviously, you know, that era of Japanese wrestling had its share of fuck finishes for lack of a better term.
29:54
[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, I, I would like to bet that Dory probably does not give as much, does not get as much credit on Bobba's later booking instincts that he probably should.
30:05
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
30:05
[SPEAKER_00]: I suspect that when Bobba does switch to the clean finishes and the building and everything like that, some of that's obviously got to have the influence by Dory, right?
30:14
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
30:14
[SPEAKER_01]: I could definitely like pick like Dory's brain about like booking and everything in the early days of like all the pan.
30:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I mean, you could see a very clear delineation like mid-Atlantic from like when Dory was booking to like when Dusty thinks so.
30:29
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
30:29
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there's a reason why like an entire like fucked finish this named, Dr.
30:33
[SPEAKER_01]: Dusty.
30:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
30:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
30:36
[SPEAKER_00]: versus, you know, Dory's more, so it's a conservative style.
30:42
[SPEAKER_00]: And just before we get into things, I just got to mention him, because even it's not in our wheelhouse, but someone like her, here she tends on retiring to me is a big deal, because, I mean, I started watching Pearl in late 1999.
30:55
[SPEAKER_00]: So, I mean, I was there for like peak tens on years, and the man does not get enough credit about how great he once was.
31:05
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if you really do go back into his peak, like we're talking 020405, I'm trying to think there's not a lot of wrestlers better than him.
31:13
[SPEAKER_00]: He's easily, maybe the lower tier of the top 10, definitely top 20.
31:18
[SPEAKER_00]: You got some of the Noah guys, you've got you know, Angle, Guerrero, Benwa.
31:24
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm trying to think who else.
31:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe even if you want to say Gainos, it was one of the best in the
31:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Chima, you know, Tanaka.
31:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, so it's just to be like he would obviously be one of the best.
31:41
[SPEAKER_00]: I believe it is the it's either O2 or O3, G1 but the final against Junakiyama to me is still my favorite G1 final, just incredible.
31:52
[SPEAKER_00]: That's when Tenson debuted the Anticon of Vice in that tournament.
31:57
[SPEAKER_00]: I believe or I've just done so shortly before it and the fact that he manages to beat Akiyama with that move as you can imagine.
32:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Guess what that makes the move very over for a while Yes noted Yeah, what about the say that isn't that the whole reason punk started using it?
32:17
[SPEAKER_01]: of course it is and not that's yet punk whatever steel moves that a popular in Japan.
32:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah I feel like punk is also gonna enough.
32:26
[SPEAKER_00]: People that want to like dunk on punk for taking the GTS, just also dunk on punk for the Anticon of Vice.
32:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
32:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Right, because I look, I mean, the thing is, what there's, he tends on like, fucks up his back on a moon salt and there's another injury and I can never remember what it happens, but this has got to be around 05, 06, 07 and he's basically quickly downcycled that of like the top top main events.
32:54
[SPEAKER_00]: He hangs around in the upper midcard of a while longer because he does start great batch heal or GPH.
33:01
[SPEAKER_00]: a GBH was originally stood for what is it stand for what I can't remember what the G stood for I looked I looked it up but you want to get yeah beasted for buffalo out of for tens on and then the aged for him's casserole kosher aqua was also one of the original members and I can't remember what the G stands but who is the other one that is most well known for GBH?
33:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's Machabegroa.
33:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Yep, yep.
33:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, okay.
33:28
[SPEAKER_00]: And Kenzons and that maybe a little over a year.
33:31
[SPEAKER_00]: And then, you know, you're not far from when, then Kojima gets back and what's Kojima has is brief, IWGP, how to run then they can, can Kojima get put back together in that sort of like, they sort of, sort of get psyched down the card over the years and Kenzons body quickly falls apart.
33:50
[SPEAKER_00]: But tens on let's talk about tens on because he's also a victim of the era like June like that was going to be my take yeah and others because it's he's a four time I WGP champion, but go look at his brains they like have like one defense or no defenses like he never had a signature title rain if you go and you look at the title history of that time it is up.
34:14
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not bad.
34:15
[SPEAKER_01]: That's the thing.
34:15
[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's one of the main things that he suffers from is that his era of new Japan gets a to be fair rightfully pretty bad people.
34:24
[SPEAKER_01]: But like I think people then just tend to ignore that nobody was also really fucking great stuff in that era as well.
34:30
[SPEAKER_01]: If you just kind of go like, oh yeah, early 2000s new Japan like it sucked and it's like, yeah, it did, but like there was a lot of like amazing stuff there as well.
34:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
34:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, like, look at this title and first title rain he defeats Yoshihara Takiyama, who had about it for about six months after defeating Eugene DeGotta, who had that year plus title rain, which was a great title rain, by the way.
34:52
[SPEAKER_00]: So, 36 days during the festival, did he lose it to Paul Dino, who loses his first title to?
34:59
[SPEAKER_00]: What year was it again?
35:00
[SPEAKER_00]: He wins it in O3.
35:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, free.
35:03
[SPEAKER_01]: Win the drum takiyama.
35:05
[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't be in a car either, Kudrima's gone at that point.
35:09
[SPEAKER_01]: But who the fuck else is there?
35:10
[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's not a morrow.
35:12
[SPEAKER_01]: It's Nakamura, okay.
35:13
[SPEAKER_01]: I forgot that he wanted that early.
35:16
[SPEAKER_01]: And this is a song.
35:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, right here, this is like really early, failed, like super, like basically they were like super rocking Nakamura into that, like,
35:26
[SPEAKER_01]: kind of like not very good, I don't know, right?
35:28
[SPEAKER_00]: And then Nakamura, I want to say he, I remember as an orbital bone injury, but maybe I'm wrong about that.
35:35
[SPEAKER_00]: And so he vacates it in February.
35:39
[SPEAKER_00]: And then Kenzan beats Kenru in the finals of a tournament to become the champion.
35:45
[SPEAKER_00]: And this
35:50
[SPEAKER_00]: And he gets one defense against Minorsuzuki and then drops to Kent's case asaki.
35:57
[SPEAKER_01]: And one of the people don't literally look with a lot of favor on to the terror.
36:02
[SPEAKER_00]: And then in December, he wins the title back from Kent's case asaki.
36:07
[SPEAKER_00]: But the title had bounced around between Sasaki, Bob Sapp.
36:11
[SPEAKER_00]: They can't pass a Yuki Fujita and the infamous Kent's case asaki match against Kent's
36:20
[SPEAKER_00]: He pins him with us or has it work.
36:24
[SPEAKER_00]: So, so he gets a pin because Fuji puts him in the sleeper and then Sasaki rolls on him to get the cheap like, oh, you know, he's not going to do an actual proper job type thing.
36:34
[SPEAKER_01]: But Fuji doesn't know, never.
36:36
[SPEAKER_00]: and then tens on has the title and then he drops it in February of 2005 with after no defenses to Kojima who had the trip around at the save time.
36:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah and then Kojima gets his 83 day rain where he makes a 60-minute draw with Nakamura.
36:56
[SPEAKER_00]: And then Tenson beats Kojima and May.
37:00
[SPEAKER_00]: He sends it once against Scott Norton.
37:02
[SPEAKER_00]: And this is his fourth reign by Indian.
37:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Tenson once against Scott Norton.
37:05
[SPEAKER_00]: And then drops it to Brock Lesnar.
37:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Nope, Fujita.
37:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Ah, Fujita.
37:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
37:10
[SPEAKER_00]: And that is in July of 2005.
37:13
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's, those are Tenson's four title rings.
37:16
[SPEAKER_00]: I was 21 years ago, and he only retired now.
37:20
[SPEAKER_00]: And basically in, okay, so Hands-On wins the title the first time in November 2003, and then he drops it in the for the last time in July.
37:33
[SPEAKER_00]: So it lasted two years, he has four reigns, which it's just crazy.
37:38
[SPEAKER_00]: And there's, yeah,
37:39
[SPEAKER_00]: There's two vacancies in that time, and the Sasaki and the Fujita and then the Bob Sapt Rain, and yeah, see, like that's what happened to Tetsu.
37:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think that's one of the reasons, and I think the other reason is also very, very simply.
37:54
[SPEAKER_01]: This is before most of the fans of like current day fans of New Japan, watch New Japan.
38:00
[SPEAKER_01]: So, like, most of the current day new Japan fans only know Tansan as just like broken down old guy.
38:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and not like peak 10.
38:08
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think like very early on and like the peak period of like new Japan, right?
38:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Like from like, what do you say, like 2011, 2012 onwards essentially?
38:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, like he there was still like there was still some good mattress that he had, but like it was very clearly.
38:24
[SPEAKER_01]: And like the downswing of his career at that point.
38:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
38:28
[SPEAKER_00]: like he gets injured not long after that last Halloween and picks up a bunch of injuries and that's when he really slows down and I'm not sure how much more they were going to push him if he had stayed healthy it didn't necessarily also feel that either because you know it goes to the bottom of the family but yeah
38:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Because Tenson Fujita and then Den Lezder.
38:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Ah, yeah, okay.
38:51
[SPEAKER_00]: And then the Tata Hashira begins and, you know, Tata Hashira makes this after winning the title for the first time.
38:58
[SPEAKER_00]: He makes his first ever title defense against Tenson.
39:03
[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, the match was okay.
39:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was okay, but I do think like I think in that way, I think it put it did help like Tanahashi a lot like to establish him as a guy sure to be like, you know, like basically a guy from like the Well, I mean at that point, I wouldn't even say he's the previous generation, but like basically, you know, like to beat like an established like main event or in its very first defense and not that he just beats somebody that had like no credibility
39:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, um, if you want a really good overlook, tens on max.
39:34
[SPEAKER_00]: It's absolutely incredible.
39:35
[SPEAKER_00]: You got to watch his batch.
39:36
[SPEAKER_00]: It's an alternate pain in December, 2004.
39:38
[SPEAKER_00]: It gets caught up for the triple ground.
39:39
[SPEAKER_00]: That actually gets slept on as one of tens on as great as singles matches.
39:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
39:41
[SPEAKER_00]: And I really believe it is, um, and it's actually not that hard to find.
39:43
[SPEAKER_00]: It's all say, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh,
39:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, do check that out.
39:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I mean, no, I think we've talked about 10 cozy before, uh, but, uh, I never tire of reminding people to watch the 2001 G1 tag league finals, uh, which is the amazing 10 cozy versus Mike Barton and Jim Steel finals, which is a match that shocked the world.
40:11
[SPEAKER_00]: It is all legitimately great tag, but actually, and yes, it was incredible performance from 10 cozy and
40:21
[SPEAKER_00]: And then, yeah, best you won't find us to me is against Akiyama.
40:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, tens of one, three G ones might I add, right?
40:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, he was chono-wise sort of the booker for everything.
40:32
[SPEAKER_00]: That wasn't enough to get to me in that period.
40:35
[SPEAKER_00]: And he clearly wanted to position tens on as the ace, but, you know, other things.
40:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, okay, just, yeah.
40:42
[SPEAKER_00]: I have absolutely no idea of what the backstage was like then, but I mean, it must have just been Chono getting constantly overruled.
40:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
40:52
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we're gonna do this, main event at this Tokyo Dome show because they were still running like three Tokyo Dome at this point and you know, you can book around this.
41:02
[SPEAKER_01]: I think you can kind of see what it was like just based on like the mentality of the guys that came out of that period, right?
41:10
[SPEAKER_01]: That that kind of like in charge of the promotion right now, where they are like no, no, no, no backstage harmony over literally anything else.
41:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Like we want to keep like everybody as happy as he possibly can.
41:22
[SPEAKER_01]: That's probably because again, like I think Tanahashi especially like like came up in that specific like environment and it's now just like no, no, no, no, no.
41:31
[SPEAKER_01]: like he like he more than anything just like wants to keep the peas in the locker room because I think he can.
41:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but people probably fruit shit at each other.
41:42
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, yeah, Tera Haxia also tried to turn the dojo culture away from like human rights violence.
41:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, or literal murder.
41:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, and everything like that.
41:52
[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I mean that that was a scarring.
41:54
[SPEAKER_00]: It's sort of, you know, he stayed.
41:56
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, no one survived.
41:58
[SPEAKER_00]: I am like think Nagada much has been said about what happened to him.
42:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but I think he doesn't decide to go big mouth loud if all the panes and the if New Japan isn't a complete mess That's true, too, but he Well, in hindsight, he shouldn't just say yeah, you know obviously you should have just said He would have definitely been an IWGP chair, but how do you stay like that?
42:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think he would have been if he didn't get it if he didn't have the brain injury Well, that too.
42:34
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know about that I don't know like not to get to me to me when I walked away before I heard of like him like
42:41
[SPEAKER_01]: Like when I walked away from that Ocaramatch, I walked away from that being like, oh, yeah, they're going to put the tile on him eventually.
42:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's going to be the story.
42:48
[SPEAKER_01]: And obviously, that didn't happen for like completely not completely unrelated to wrestling, but you know, like it didn't happen for like because of the injury.
42:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Nakanishi, sort of also a victim, although Choshu leaving did not help Nakanishi.
43:05
[SPEAKER_00]: No, position in that company and him staying around.
43:09
[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I mean, that whole third generation was infamously cursed.
43:13
[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I mean, to me a very notable end of the era.
43:17
[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, I've, you know, I've heard rumors that like, you know, New Japan started wants to get some of these guys to start retiring and everything like that.
43:24
[SPEAKER_00]: So,
43:25
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think, um, waiting for that in the God and Kojima retirement are not, uh, you know, not unusual.
43:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Although Nagada has made claims he's going to rest at least like 70, which I would believe actually, uh, when you need to kind of stuff something like that.
43:41
[SPEAKER_00]: But the question is will, New Japan be willing to put up with that?
43:45
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know to be completely off.
43:46
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's the question of the, because the two probably, like, I think Ojima is probably kind of similar, where I think if they wanted to just basically, like, I think that's the thing for them.
43:58
[SPEAKER_01]: That's probably what they want, what they have to choose, right?
44:00
[SPEAKER_01]: But it's like, can give up, like, especially for Nagada, and would have what Ojima isn't the best shape of any of.
44:07
[SPEAKER_01]: That, that's the thing, like fuck a dream.
44:08
[SPEAKER_01]: I've probably a much either thing of like if an old if new Japan is like you retire or you leave, he's probably just gonna leave.
44:15
[SPEAKER_01]: And whereas with Nagada, it would be the thing of like not even shape or it would be like, well, you have to give up your like job and the dojo.
44:22
[SPEAKER_01]: To like leave right like because he can't keep like in charge of the dojo and then also leave So if I hear my think it's much more of like a real question.
44:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Do I retire or do I like have to leave the promotion?
44:34
[SPEAKER_01]: So with Kojima, I think Kojima is like whenever they like let us contract run out He's just gonna leave and just like if you can go where are you fucking once you can go to know I can go to all Japan like I think those are all like real either we're booking.
44:46
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure
44:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
44:48
[SPEAKER_01]: They're not even like he just has to pick up.
44:50
[SPEAKER_01]: They keep probably doesn't even have to call them.
44:52
[SPEAKER_00]: They call him.
44:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
44:54
[SPEAKER_00]: I would assume that, well, I don't know.
44:57
[SPEAKER_00]: I would say no, I just because they got the money.
44:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but, you know, they're paying someone else that we're going to talk about.
45:03
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
45:04
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, actually, you know, what was maybe a bit of a dark horse there as well, DDT?
45:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
45:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
45:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Like way too much.
45:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Like you'd basically guess like a swirl similar to like Akiyama.
45:14
[SPEAKER_01]: for sure.
45:15
[SPEAKER_01]: That's definitely very positive.
45:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, speaking of DDT, on point with the, with the segue yesterday.
45:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, absolutely.
45:26
[SPEAKER_00]: I just realized in the run sheet, I put in the wrong DDT show that I copy you pasted from.
45:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, wait a minute.
45:32
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, yeah, that's fine.
45:33
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, wait a minute.
45:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, that's not the right card.
45:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
45:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, okay.
45:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm putting in the the proper one now.
45:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
45:40
[SPEAKER_00]: There we go.
45:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, they did not announce a crowd for Peter Pan, but I'm assuming you got this did pretty well for GDT standard in sumo.
45:47
[SPEAKER_00]: It looked pretty full as well.
45:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
45:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, how much of this massive nearly seven hour final.
45:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Did you walk?
45:55
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, I didn't watch everything.
45:58
[SPEAKER_01]: Basically, I watched the tag title match.
46:03
[SPEAKER_01]: I did actually watch Yamato versus Dino because I was like, maybe there's something redeemable in here.
46:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Then I did watch the Universal title match.
46:13
[SPEAKER_01]: I watched to catch the verses to Kitchie, and then I was basically, so basically after the universe, I watched from the universe a title and I watched everything, and then before that, I watched the tag title and the Yamato verses, Dino match.
46:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I did not watch your marks on verses Dino, but I did not watch the tag title, but I read the reviews before this, and I saw how bad that Yamato verses Dino actually didn't do it, I gave it to you.
46:35
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a fucking horrendous.
46:40
[SPEAKER_01]: It's that might be my worst match of the year to be quite honest, that was really bad.
46:45
[SPEAKER_00]: So let's talk about, did you watch the extreme channel know?
46:48
[SPEAKER_00]: I was tempted to, but I just didn't in the end.
46:50
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, middling reviews by Warmatch, and I like Ocarotani a lot, but yeah.
46:56
[SPEAKER_00]: you know, I couldn't bring myself to do it.
46:58
[SPEAKER_00]: But KOD, nice sort of, uh, match 12 minutes, all action.
47:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Junta, Miyawaki, and Shinya Aoki seem like such a strange pairing.
47:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm happy for poor Junta.
47:09
[SPEAKER_00]: He's doing, I would argue he's doing better than Endos doing in hell.
47:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
47:14
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this is like the biggest win of his career by far.
47:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
47:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I don't think it's even particularly close.
47:19
[SPEAKER_00]: And he pinned.
47:21
[SPEAKER_01]: You've been to Russia, man, yeah, yeah, exactly, yeah.
47:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Like it isn't even just the fact that he won in the match, but it's also a that he got to pin and who he pinned as well.
47:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
47:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Like this is like, like think about it.
47:32
[SPEAKER_01]: What do you have been able to pin Morifuji in a match in Noah?
47:37
[SPEAKER_00]: No, and if they were going to do it, they would've done it by now.
47:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, exactly.
47:40
[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, no, like I think he is doing like pretty damn well for himself.
47:44
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I'm very, very happy for him.
47:46
[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, no, I agree.
47:47
[SPEAKER_01]: He's probably he's probably doing better than like Endo is at this point.
47:50
[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, um, so I did not watch Dysuke Sasaki Doki versus Arden and oh, like no, it is a reason why I was just getting that one.
47:59
[SPEAKER_01]: And also because I had just said for Yamato and Dino, I was like, no.
48:05
[SPEAKER_00]: And the University of Tata Rice, Resuke Taguchi-Bikazuma, Sumi, and ATOT2 with the Dodon, Taguchi becomes the 18th Universal Champion, and this was a good match.
48:17
[SPEAKER_00]: This was like Taguchi's annual, I can actually wrestle match.
48:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
48:22
[SPEAKER_01]: That was the main reason why I watched it as well, because I was like, okay, like, to go to every one's in a way, you can start putting out this, like, the biggest spot he's been in in, like, forever.
48:35
[SPEAKER_01]: He will probably actually try and he did actually try.
48:39
[SPEAKER_00]: He did actually try, and it was good, and it'll be interesting to see where this goes.
48:44
[SPEAKER_00]: I could see him then keeping him this on him for a while.
48:47
[SPEAKER_00]: I could see him dropping it quickly.
48:49
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't, I really don't know, actually.
48:51
[SPEAKER_01]: No, I have no idea.
48:53
[SPEAKER_01]: I meet on the other hand, like, I think to good, she is kind of perfect for DDT.
48:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, God, yes.
48:58
[SPEAKER_01]: And if New Japan wants to bring, and like, you know, like, I mean, they've been rumored to wanting to bring a new juniors for like a while now, who knows if that's actually happening or not, but, yeah, because it's been so long now.
49:11
[SPEAKER_01]: But still, like, I can do that.
49:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
49:14
[SPEAKER_01]: And if they actually are, it's like less of a spot for him there, so like maybe doing a bit of an extended run and like DDT might be like the best thing for him.
49:24
[SPEAKER_00]: For sure.
49:25
[SPEAKER_00]: And then the dramatic dream match, Kadosuke Takeshi, the defeat of the Kaisai Takeshi in 1726, the raging fire.
49:32
[SPEAKER_00]: This was a great performance.
49:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I'll face considered given a how, I mean, this is I believe to catch he's like 20th match and they handle that injury just as good as well as you can because catching injured is the on a springboard for and yeah.
49:52
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, they kind of scrambled for a second, but then really smart idea of them just trying to do the super spots and then to cash it at just, you know, pounding on the knee and then just getting a win with the raging fire.
50:06
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought this was well done.
50:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it was it was going well for what it was, but then I thought the handle the injury also very well.
50:13
[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, wasn't probably planning a much more spectacular ending.
50:17
[SPEAKER_00]: because this ending consists of a bunch of like super spots and just strike battles, but damn if they didn't, you know, do a good job trying to like put this together.
50:28
[SPEAKER_00]: So I still have to say this was a pretty good match.
50:30
[SPEAKER_00]: And it was going good before the injury too.
50:32
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah.
50:33
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it really is.
50:34
[SPEAKER_01]: I do think that with this or by the injury, like I think it also kind of took the arrow out of the crowd as well.
50:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
50:41
[SPEAKER_01]: I think the actual reaction to the finish was pretty flat.
50:45
[SPEAKER_01]: But again, that's probably because people knew that the catch got injured.
50:47
[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah.
50:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and he just, I mean, they were, I think it was like, they were just a strike battle and then to catch just picks him up in the rigging fire and wins.
50:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they didn't like, they didn't really build it up at all.
50:57
[SPEAKER_01]: I would, like, I think I remember, like, I remember, like, seeing the strike battle, and then I, like, got, like, a notification on my phone, so I looked away, and then I, like, hearing a ring ball, and I'm like, wait a minute, what?
51:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Wait, how would it be?
51:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Go to the finish right now, like, they did, like, that
51:11
[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't build that up at all.
51:13
[SPEAKER_01]: So I actually rewind to see what actually happened.
51:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
51:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Do you know what I finished with again?
51:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Do you know what it is?
51:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Do you know what the announcement is?
51:22
[SPEAKER_00]: It actually was, yeah, because I did not see that.
51:25
[SPEAKER_01]: I did not see that either.
51:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
51:27
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you know, you know, if this will turn, like who knows if this will, yeah, if it's not that, but I can see him come back.
51:34
[SPEAKER_01]: If it is a bit more of a serious injury, I wouldn't be shocked if it's like, like music agency is like, yeah, no more wrestling for you.
51:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's also a very real concern, eh, that that happens.
51:48
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, yeah, we can't have you mess up your, like, fucking ability to dance because you want to do, like, you're like wrestling thing.
51:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
51:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, so in the main event for the KOD openweight title, Mowd for the UK, you know, in 3347 with the cannonball for 50 to finally win the title.
52:06
[SPEAKER_00]: And Juaneo fails on his ninth defense of the title, geez.
52:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Paul, you take this away because I know that Mow and Juaneo is is in your real house.
52:15
[SPEAKER_01]: So I actually liked this less than the first match.
52:21
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was still pretty good, because I think the criticism that people generally have that it's just like, there isn't a whole lot of psychology in these matches, and there isn't, like, I mean, it's definitely less in the traditional wrestling sense.
52:38
[SPEAKER_01]: I think for them, this psychology is more like, well, like two friends, and we're both like absolute,
52:46
[SPEAKER_01]: So we're just going to throw caution to the wind completely because I know you're in a opponent, I can do that with.
52:52
[SPEAKER_01]: Like it's basically they're trying to show each other up.
52:55
[SPEAKER_01]: It's what they're trying to do.
52:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's the psychology of the match.
52:58
[SPEAKER_01]: And that obviously doesn't leave like a lot of room for like, you know, like, traditional wrestling psychology.
53:05
[SPEAKER_01]: And like I still like this fall enough.
53:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I still went to fall in a quarter on this.
53:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I fought a lot.
53:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Like a pretty great match.
53:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but it just wasn't at that same level as like that first match was where I think that was just even more like levels of just complete insanity and emotion and everything and I felt like really like the emotional like despite the fact that this was my finally succeeding like I felt like the same like emotional level wasn't quite there in the match and so that's why I didn't quite go as high as I did for the first much but I still thought it was pretty damn great.
53:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
53:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought I would go also for an accord because it captures your attention right out of the gate and they holds it.
53:49
[SPEAKER_00]: But I felt like they wanted to, in the closing stretch, they wanted to do the callbacks with the drop kicks.
53:55
[SPEAKER_00]: But I felt like it slowed down the match because they wanted to fit in some, they wanted to have stuff in some melodrama there.
54:02
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, but yes, still very good.
54:04
[SPEAKER_00]: I would probably still give that other match.
54:07
[SPEAKER_00]: The edge, even though it was controversial in its own way, but yeah, I mean, look at the end of the day, I think they they was time for them out of finally win.
54:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
54:19
[SPEAKER_00]: And they did it on the biggest show with a year.
54:21
[SPEAKER_00]: And of course, you know, it's the end of a DDT show.
54:24
[SPEAKER_00]: So you get credits and you get to watch the champion go into the back.
54:27
[SPEAKER_00]: But then since you're a Takagi ambushes him and catches in his like right to challenge any way at any time anywhere, uh, gauntlet.
54:36
[SPEAKER_00]: And he takes him to the, uh, the ring and it's a four minute match.
54:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, Takagi gets a couple of new falls on the exhausted now, but
54:50
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know like that's the other thing like you want to and like obviously you're still in it with Mao on top and everything but like I don't know like for me it was all about like Mao was who I know like like in certain circumstances fell down necessary yeah that's like a corrican hog giving like no yeah exactly you could have done it there and it could
55:13
[SPEAKER_01]: after the first defense even like, I don't know.
55:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, especially because they also like did do that game like not that long ago, like last year, when they like deal with her other winning the title.
55:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
55:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
55:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
55:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's obviously why they did it here this year again, but like I hope this doesn't become like the standard now.
55:32
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, like after every Peter Pan made a went like some bit kind of runs into like cash and it's like fucking like briefcase.
55:38
[SPEAKER_00]: for sure.
55:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, it is just like, yeah, but they at least didn't do anything stupid like after.
55:44
[SPEAKER_00]: No, at least it didn't have to cog you in.
55:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
55:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Or anyone else have that gauntlet and also win, right?
55:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, because I don't think to like, Harada title right was that good, like it was just a guy that wasn't a very believable champion holding it for like a month, basically.
56:02
[SPEAKER_01]: So, and then, you know, just like losing it back to the guy that he wanted from originally.
56:08
[SPEAKER_01]: So, exactly.
56:09
[SPEAKER_00]: So, from what I saw, I enjoyed, but like, God, the bow was massive.
56:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, there's so many Iron Man title changes on the show.
56:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and waving it and everything like that.
56:21
[SPEAKER_00]: But, look, I mean, like, much like, most of the stuff on the top half of the card, like, most big
56:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, oh yeah, no, like that's the thing with DDT, like the top level stuff is pretty damn great.
56:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I just been I've been too doubted since he grew to retire.
56:39
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like totally sad but it should go.
56:41
[SPEAKER_00]: So now we're going to move on to know and God, do we have a lot to say about this company?
56:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Legacy Rise 26 at Corcorcan Hall in front of 1,589 fans Supernova agency Full House and
56:58
[SPEAKER_01]: To be fair, I will say, this isn't even the impressive number out of like the curriculum numbers that they drew.
57:03
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
57:04
[SPEAKER_01]: This is the bigger show.
57:05
[SPEAKER_01]: What I think the other one drawing as well as it is way more impressive than this one.
57:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
57:09
[SPEAKER_01]: For sure.
57:10
[SPEAKER_01]: I'd written that off.
57:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
57:12
[SPEAKER_01]: I think we both did after we recorded it, but we were like, yeah, they sent the show out the die.
57:15
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, nah.
57:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Not a day, and I'd actually fill a little bit of tickets.
57:18
[SPEAKER_00]: So first off, we had Muhammad Yonay at Sushi Katoge, a rookie in Hajimeo, Haraj, feeding dragon bait in our 100s.
57:25
[SPEAKER_00]: So you can't do it in Katsumi and Hada.
57:27
[SPEAKER_00]: In 1718, with the Kumori Surio Toshi from Katoge on in Hada, I mean, you perfectly, in offensive opener, four-way match, kid-likeos, the kid-likeos, two-defeated,
57:47
[SPEAKER_00]: and Koenagi and Madori Takahashi in 601 with the Swantam from Leiko's on Takahashi.
57:54
[SPEAKER_00]: It was fine, but you either have like, God, our Leiko's to the best workers in this batch.
58:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, like, mentoring.
58:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's a post.
58:06
[SPEAKER_01]: But also, like, there were more people in this match than there were minutes in the match.
58:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, he has.
58:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, completely forgettable.
58:15
[SPEAKER_00]: And then I ate that and gave you a sheet of Mrs. Kai Fujimara and Dream Master Okawa to double count out in 51 seconds.
58:21
[SPEAKER_00]: And then it just went to a disqualification, but ate it and Diki worked disqualified this time.
58:27
[SPEAKER_00]: And instead of the team, two, three, four, when ate it was disqualified, but
58:33
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, this is all just building the match, you know what I would say, I think this actually did a good job of building up the title match the next day because he just had eight hours just like we pretty damn vicious and just like completely like just lay like right like lay into like
58:54
[SPEAKER_01]: into Kai Fujimura here, yeah, like because that's a thing like if you had just on the thing, I was like, oh, team 2.0 next, cheated over it.
59:00
[SPEAKER_01]: It was like, no, instead it was just eight, it was going absolutely eight, eight, shit on like Fujimura and I think that actually did do a good job of like making me more interested in the match itself, rather than actually having like a proper long match.
59:15
[SPEAKER_01]: I think I think this was a really good usage of time as opposed
59:22
[SPEAKER_00]: So then, after that, we go into the G200 title turn of it.
59:29
[SPEAKER_00]: So higher defeated Bossa Kid and B.
59:32
[SPEAKER_00]: In 133 seconds with the counter.
59:35
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this was just there to establish a like five count count.
59:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, essentially.
59:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
59:39
[SPEAKER_00]: And then Tetsuya and the defeated Masuka in 155 seconds with the hurricane Rhonda, and this is a nice little spot fest.
59:46
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
59:47
[SPEAKER_01]: But you know what?
59:47
[SPEAKER_01]: I can kind of realize.
59:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Endless kind of perfect for this.
59:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, for sure.
59:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Or is he?
59:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Yohei returned match, Ozzawa, Takashi, Suga, and Tattisuke, defeated Manibu Soya, Yuki, Yino, and Yohei in 1003, with the horizontal cradle from Tattisuke on Yohei.
1:00:06
[SPEAKER_00]: And then all the drama sets up a match for the next day, which we'll get to.
1:00:12
[SPEAKER_00]: And then Kenow versus Alpha Wolf in the GHE title tournament, or GHE200 title tournament, goes to a time limit draw.
1:00:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
1:00:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
1:00:23
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god, that means whoever wins between Kai Takiyomiya and Innamuro will go immediately to the final.
1:00:28
[SPEAKER_01]: I want to know what they're going to do there.
1:00:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, and that also goes to a two-and-a-two-and-a-second draw.
1:00:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that was the best.
1:00:35
[SPEAKER_00]: That was the best match in the turn of it.
1:00:36
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, but also like you set up this new entire fucking concept, right?
1:00:41
[SPEAKER_01]: And like you invalidate the entire half of the fucking tournament by having two matches go to a draw.
1:00:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
1:00:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Why was that half of the tournament even there?
1:00:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because you're using it's wrestling.
1:00:55
[SPEAKER_01]: It's wrestling.
1:00:55
[SPEAKER_01]: It's it's it's predetermined.
1:00:58
[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have to do this This just makes you look stupid.
1:01:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely So yeah, now what we're supposed to be a semi-final is now the final of the fucking tournament
1:01:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this, this, this, this entire concept is such a fucking like, like, it's such a like, it's so dead on arrival already, like, it's just, I was like, I don't, I don't think it has a lot of potential, but let's see what to turn right switch.
1:01:24
[SPEAKER_01]: And after I've seen the tournament, I'm like, yeah, no, fuck, this is, this is stupid.
1:01:28
[SPEAKER_01]: This is not going to work.
1:01:31
[SPEAKER_00]: And then for the semi-main event, the GHC national title, now mechimara Fuji defeats Kenta in 2045 with the perfect net clock to make his fourth defense in this national title.
1:01:41
[SPEAKER_00]: And you know what, Paul, this is perfectly cromulent wrestling.
1:01:44
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it wasn't quite at the level of, I won't like a matter of food, it was kind of much to be.
1:01:49
[SPEAKER_01]: But I mean, at this point, it's just, it is what it is.
1:01:52
[SPEAKER_01]: And this was definitely a lot better than like the previous match.
1:01:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, last year's match.
1:01:59
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, last year's match.
1:02:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, obviously, okay, you know what, it's, it's the second worst match, but it's a lot better than the worst match.
1:02:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, that that's a great way of putting it.
1:02:14
[SPEAKER_00]: So that takes us to the main event and that's the United Division of Shadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshadeshades
1:02:37
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm basically, I'm preparing myself, if he has a good end on, I'm going to start making Shane Hayes' rest of the year arguments.
1:02:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
1:02:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, we were all doing like ours, like, nightos, like, best match, like, in recent times or whatever.
1:02:54
[SPEAKER_01]: But like, this wasn't just like nightos, best match, like, since he left New Japan or whatever.
1:03:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, this is nightos, best match, and like, what, like, like two free years,
1:03:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's a very least.
1:03:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
1:03:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, is it somebody else find like, people were like, oh, yeah, it's about like taking like big, like, because I think one of the things that we've realized about Naita is like, okay, you need to kind of like take like a big bomb.
1:03:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Like you'd be need to be the one that takes like the big bombs because Naita can't really do that anymore.
1:03:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:03:26
[SPEAKER_01]: But like, all the other thing actually that you need to do is like you just basically to make night off and look good is you kind of need to like do everything yourself.
1:03:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Like that from that Shane Hayes took on the destino, like the way he figured out how to make the destino look good is well, all you have to do is pick up nighter yourself,
1:03:52
[SPEAKER_01]: to a back flip and just fall straight on your fucking dome.
1:03:57
[SPEAKER_01]: That's how you make the destino look at now.
1:04:00
[SPEAKER_01]: And it looked amazing.
1:04:01
[SPEAKER_01]: It's probably one of the best points I've ever seen for the destino.
1:04:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Like it looked like a holy shit.
1:04:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Like this was so much better than I expected it to be.
1:04:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Like again, I went like four and a quarter on this.
1:04:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Like this was genuinely a great match.
1:04:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Like not even on like the like nighto in 2026 scale.
1:04:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Like just a straight up great match.
1:04:20
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a little overrated on case.
1:04:23
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
1:04:23
[SPEAKER_01]: No, like it's not like match off the other candidate.
1:04:26
[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't go that far.
1:04:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it can be fair to Dado.
1:04:30
[SPEAKER_00]: He looks like he's dropped a couple of pounds.
1:04:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, yeah, he deserves some credit for turning it up himself.
1:04:36
[SPEAKER_00]: But I mean, haste was the real icon here.
1:04:41
[SPEAKER_00]: And honestly, with the fact that Nato's not in the N1, it makes me feel a little better about this talent rate because he's not going to like blow
1:04:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, or like, I don't know, do like more damage to his body and like not any more trash and he basically just like get some month off essential like his might or like some on the cart like you know what I wouldn't even put him on on the cart hacks.
1:05:02
[SPEAKER_01]: No, because I would just let him sit at home and just rest and recover like go to Germany and get like some more like stem cells and soda into his knees or whatever.
1:05:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, yeah, so I don't feel as I'm not big of a doomer like I was expecting this to happen at some point like even before this match You know, but I guess I feel like I'm less of a doomer on this and then I would have No, if there's there's more potential there.
1:05:27
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see if others pick up on like the hints that Shane hates put down He was so it's like no you just have to actually do everything itself.
1:05:35
[SPEAKER_01]: This isn't just bumping around night It's also like actually lifting up and then bumping
1:05:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Apparently, Shane Hayes has a couple of his students in the dojo.
1:05:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Mar Fuji was saying that on X. I don't know if they're from the States or from Australia, because I thought he's lived in this L.A. or something.
1:05:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Was it L.A. F?
1:05:53
[SPEAKER_01]: What he was like one of the Florida guys as well?
1:05:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Probably for a while, for some reason I thought I had heard it was L.A.
1:06:00
[SPEAKER_00]: But, um, I don't know.
1:06:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, I don't know.
1:06:05
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I'd rather live in LA than in Florida.
1:06:09
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that takes us to legacy rise again.
1:06:13
[SPEAKER_00]: But this time on August 8th at Corganon.
1:06:15
[SPEAKER_00]: From 1,292 fans and Dan, we were wrong.
1:06:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Because I was like, this is going to go.
1:06:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:06:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Like 1100.
1:06:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:06:24
[SPEAKER_01]: We were like debating.
1:06:24
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, oh, it's just like, like, it's just going to drop below.
1:06:26
[SPEAKER_01]: If I was, I don't know whatever.
1:06:27
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, nope.
1:06:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Hey.
1:06:30
[SPEAKER_01]: And like people, which people are hot for Noah.
1:06:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, hot for Noah.
1:06:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:06:35
[SPEAKER_00]: So the first match of the car was the Hurricane Amikki debut match.
1:06:38
[SPEAKER_00]: And thank you to Sheema, the Hurricane Amikki in 1976 with the dead end.
1:06:43
[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Amikki has got a great look.
1:06:45
[SPEAKER_00]: He looks like a fucking...
1:06:47
[SPEAKER_00]: How fast faster, if you ask me, although it's junior size, but like a game like, yeah, I'm like, no, it's just keep popping up these great guys.
1:06:54
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's like, you know, like, I think that no, a junior division, it's going to look like it's going to look very different and like, four or five years, basically, it's like looking at these guys, they're like putting out, like, right, like, obviously, like, it's obviously, like, it's obviously, like, everybody that Taike
1:07:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Probably by like, didn't do a year's show.
1:07:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, hopefully.
1:07:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's probably trigger on them.
1:07:22
[SPEAKER_01]: And then if they have all of these other guys, like it's gonna look very different from what it looked like, you know, five years ago when it was basically all like, kind of sleazy-looking indie scammers, it's gonna be like, yeah, I don't know, like, go technical restless interest, like, top-looking badass, which is a very different division.
1:07:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:07:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and then we had, now we see our Fuji in Kenno defeating, uh, Amasuka and Blackmen's the Ray and 506 when, uh, well, Mar Fuji pinments the Ray after the Mar Ken, and would you be surprised that, you know, I guess, well, what I'm saying is like, they are keeping Mar Fuji in Kenno together as a team, which I think is sort of notable.
1:07:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I mean, that that is also like long overdue, right?
1:08:00
[SPEAKER_01]: That's been a thing we've been talking about, but they just keep putting these people together and random tag teams and never keeping them together.
1:08:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, um, to that's a good sign.
1:08:10
[SPEAKER_00]: And then you're cheeky and a miracle.
1:08:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Also, uh, just for quick did a maxa like challenge my refugee.
1:08:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
1:08:16
[SPEAKER_01]: That is the next dash of title.
1:08:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry.
1:08:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:08:19
[SPEAKER_01]: That part.
1:08:19
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's a maxa's homecoming show or something, right?
1:08:22
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I think it's like something in Q show.
1:08:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
1:08:26
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't remember, I don't remember if it was that, but yeah, even if you like national title much.
1:08:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's from a maxa like the oh that I'm sorry.
1:08:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because if you haven't just got Mitch, you know could pro guy.
1:08:36
[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, like he that that's why you also had all of that like Christian iconography, right?
1:08:42
[SPEAKER_00]: That's like you was like from like, I know, I want to.
1:08:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that'll make sense now.
1:08:48
[SPEAKER_00]: then Yoshiki and Amura Kazuki Fujita Katsumi in Ahada and Haroto Tsuriyah defeated Manavusoya, Yuki Ino, super crazy in Yudokoidagi and 61 with the Mutsu from Inamura and Koyonagi.
1:09:00
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not much to this, just trying to let you know that Inamura is a tough bastard.
1:09:05
[SPEAKER_00]: And then Osawa Alfa Wolf and Jun Masaoka defeated Kentishian Hayes and Madori Takahashi in 756 with the Swan Dive Moon Salt Press from Osawa Takahashi, again, just sort of filler.
1:09:18
[SPEAKER_00]: And then Tetsuya Naito, Bouching Racy defeated Kaito Kiyomiya, Kid Legos 1 and Kid Legos 2 and 711.
1:09:25
[SPEAKER_00]: when night open like those two and then so you know a lot of filler on the undercard but then we step on things turn up because we got tattiscape defeating Yohe and 826 by DQ but guess what Paul doesn't matter doesn't matter because Yohe is doing team 2,000 acts and this is like basically sucked all the oxygen out of any it's just a head Yohe is returning to earth
1:09:49
[SPEAKER_01]: No, yeah, I mean, as we were talking about in the discord where it's like, like, no, we're really looked at like, like, new Japan bringing back, like, beloved, baby, face, dookie after like a terrible injury and immediately turning him heel and was like, damn, we got to do that.
1:10:05
[SPEAKER_00]: Look, we are, yeah, like, oh, I would stick my neck out and say that yo hair was the best.
1:10:10
[SPEAKER_00]: You just come to me.
1:10:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, I'm going to go.
1:10:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, one of the best laughs we're in Alaska.
1:10:15
[SPEAKER_00]: But now it's like, wow, I don't care.
1:10:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Now again,
1:10:18
[SPEAKER_01]: No, now it's just like, yeah, I don't know, like, the team 2000 extraneous are like it's it's fucking rough.
1:10:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and then he's just going to do all of the like team 2000 eggs like bullshit and everything and like probably Tala's gay and him are going to like beat Alejandro and Dragon Bay and for the junior tag titles, which you know what, I mean, not that long ago, I like again, like Tala's gay and you were like the fucking best like junior tag team, not that long ago,
1:10:47
[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to get that again, but like, it is significantly reduced, like, match quality, which sucks the fall.
1:10:55
[SPEAKER_00]: And then after that, the CHC 200 title finals, Hayada defeated Tetsuya, and so Endo would have been at 47 with the headache.
1:11:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Good lord.
1:11:06
[SPEAKER_00]: We talked about me walking out Endo's doing jobs and having to say Hayata in the middle of 47.
1:11:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's thought like they might do something with how I don't when he first came in and then had that brief dash still rain, but now sorry, and though, but now and it was just an afterthought in mid-carter.
1:11:23
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like he's like the best the furt got no he's not even the furt guy in his fucking faction because he loves to another guy in his faction so he's forth.
1:11:32
[SPEAKER_01]: He's only in both the guy that is like banished to the performance center for an undetermined period of time.
1:11:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yes, yeah, yeah.
1:11:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so uh, I don't know what endos doing what's what's the point of keeping endo here?
1:11:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:11:46
[SPEAKER_01]: Honestly.
1:11:47
[SPEAKER_01]: I liked it when he jumped at first.
1:11:49
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, okay, cool.
1:11:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, like, yeah.
1:11:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, there's like a lot of fresh stuff for him to do.
1:11:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, again, don't anything.
1:11:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you know, the monochotic color.
1:11:57
[SPEAKER_00]: The, I did not like the quick turn into 10,000 accident, turn out of it.
1:12:02
[SPEAKER_00]: But I think that they were ready at this momentum.
1:12:05
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a real is momentum and it looks even worse now in hindsight because it was just a
1:12:10
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he also made him look like a complete idiot after he got kicked out, right?
1:12:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Like because they did the whole thing with SIGURA, where then SIGURA betrayed him, so he just looks like a moron, like, just, yeah, I don't know, yeah.
1:12:23
[SPEAKER_01]: And also him saying, it's like, oh, no, I can't leave, no, I yet, because like he literally said that he can't leave, no, I yet because he hasn't done anything notable yet.
1:12:32
[SPEAKER_01]: That's literally his, like, rationale for like not going back to DDT.
1:12:36
[SPEAKER_00]: He's probably going to challenge night or something and then it's going to lose and that it's just like okay nobody gives a Sheen and I mean you do need to do if you do need to do a filler challenge between like you know like and one when I challenge and then the New Year's Eve show I guess I mean you could just put that and one challenge or challenge and two because you you could do that as well.
1:12:58
[SPEAKER_00]: This thing ends on October 4th
1:13:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:13:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:13:03
[SPEAKER_00]: So that's also a possibility.
1:13:05
[SPEAKER_00]: But that we go on to the GAC.
1:13:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Did you have a really tight team title?
1:13:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Dragon bait in Alejandro defeat Exushi Katogi in Haroki in 2136 with the super ranna from Alejandro and Haroki to make their fifth defense of the title.
1:13:17
[SPEAKER_00]: This was a pleasant surprise not because I didn't think that this match was going to be bad or anything but damn they went out there.
1:13:23
[SPEAKER_00]: I tried to have a great match.
1:13:25
[SPEAKER_00]: more than I expected.
1:13:26
[SPEAKER_00]: And this is a lot of fun.
1:13:27
[SPEAKER_00]: And this was the best match of this show.
1:13:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Probably the second best match of this back-to-back cork.
1:13:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Easier.
1:13:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Probably, yeah, I mean, yeah, I mean, obviously nitro-hates, this is the best one.
1:13:39
[SPEAKER_01]: I think with this one, I think the first half of the match is a little bit just mostly there, but then basically everything from heroically doing that
1:13:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Like everything after that is this like amazing and like also that like him taking that dive as well It's like like fucking dark as well.
1:14:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Like it looked amazing as well If you haven't seen the like A if you honestly it would be worth watching the match just for that dive It's also out there and like give form and everything yeah and like yeah I know but then everything after that in the match was just pretty damn great And you know I know it is definitely like the second best match on like these two shows
1:14:20
[SPEAKER_00]: And it was a nice little, um, I mean, this show wouldn't have been very good at this match.
1:14:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:14:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
1:14:26
[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
1:14:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, speaking of which, for the G.H.C.G.W.A championship, Kai Fuji Morgan defeated 8 and 21, 29 with a dead anger to win the title.
1:14:48
[SPEAKER_00]: I suppose I didn't hate this, but it was also kind of like what you expect with all the, there were a couple of most were like, okay, this is a perfectly good match, but then, you know, what did you, what else did you expect for?
1:14:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I don't have anything else to say nice about it.
1:15:02
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I hated the like finish, I hated like the decision to like put the title for tomorrow again.
1:15:08
[SPEAKER_01]: I like for tomorrow in theory like I'm not against him like winning this title ever very much against this version of for tomorrow.
1:15:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, oh, it's this.
1:15:16
[SPEAKER_00]: I, I, I, I brought to write this down, but yeah, you know who Kai, who would you more in that reminds me of and who he is now been cloned out.
1:15:24
[SPEAKER_01]: He is no was show.
1:15:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, God.
1:15:32
[UNKNOWN]: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
1:15:33
[SPEAKER_01]: It didn't do it with him.
1:15:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe that's what they pitched to Kojenagin.
1:15:37
[SPEAKER_01]: He was like, then I Kojenagin too.
1:15:41
[SPEAKER_01]: Kikutri and he was just like, now fuck this, I'm out.
1:15:44
[SPEAKER_00]: But he just, Fujimar just feels like show, like a guy with some potential.
1:15:47
[SPEAKER_00]: It's completely wasted.
1:15:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I mean, show, I think that was your way more potential than...
1:15:52
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
1:15:52
[SPEAKER_01]: Fujimaru thing.
1:15:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Fujimaru.
1:15:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever.
1:15:55
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Fujimaru had that match with, with Furoumou, but like, he didn't, like, that wasn't asked because it's like the match
1:16:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, um, I had to look up it.
1:16:06
[SPEAKER_00]: I forgot that show was even the junior champion at one point.
1:16:10
[SPEAKER_00]: No, it was a completely forgettable rain.
1:16:13
[SPEAKER_01]: It's also like with like this Kai Fujimura thing as well.
1:16:15
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like it would have been one thing if they had turned him and it's like you actually see like, you know, like, oh, wait, there's actually like something here personality wise and like work wise and all of that, right?
1:16:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Like when like it actually makes him like a lot more like exciting or whatever, like you know, for example, like
1:16:32
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah, oh shit, you know, we need to put the title on this guy.
1:16:35
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like Fujimura, like it's been like eight months.
1:16:38
[SPEAKER_01]: I think we know at this point what he is as a heal.
1:16:41
[SPEAKER_01]: And he's not good.
1:16:42
[SPEAKER_01]: He's just not very good at really anything that involves being a heal.
1:16:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, help.
1:16:49
[SPEAKER_01]: his look is bad, his work is significantly worse like he can't really like string together an interesting match as a heel like it's like interference stuff is very like uninspired I don't think like it doesn't show any carousel either it just looks kind of like it looks like you know what he looks like he looks like a fucking 12-year-old who's trying to act tough that's what he looks like
1:17:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for sure.
1:17:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
1:17:14
[SPEAKER_01]: Coming out and like coming out, like having caught us like moms like like maternity dress into like the curtain to wear like
1:17:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, speaking of a pectoral little boy, his brother came back to try to put him in his place.
1:17:30
[SPEAKER_00]: I know how to put the other thing.
1:17:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, this fucking brother was brother few doesn't work.
1:17:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, that's also like, yeah, like, like imagine making a brother was brother few and nobody gives a shit.
1:17:40
[SPEAKER_01]: The crowd does not care about this at all.
1:17:42
[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be, I mean, again, you know, Alejandro's on a great run right now, but it's going to be a bad match.
1:17:49
[SPEAKER_00]: I could just feel it.
1:17:50
[SPEAKER_00]: You have to surprise me.
1:17:52
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and again, that's going to just lead to like Taraskin Yohe challenging for the tag titles.
1:17:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, of course it is.
1:18:00
[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, not much on the second day other than the tag title match.
1:18:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, I like the tag title match otherwise this is a very, very skippable show.
1:18:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, that do well.
1:18:14
[SPEAKER_01]: Good, well look, we have to do that like Monday too, right?
1:18:18
[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't the week.
1:18:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:18:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
1:18:19
[SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't even the bank holiday.
1:18:20
[SPEAKER_01]: It just drew well.
1:18:22
[SPEAKER_01]: It drew well with a pretty shit cart.
1:18:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
1:18:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, so we had N1 participants finally announced, which I felt was like really calling you.
1:18:32
[SPEAKER_00]: It took them a while to do this.
1:18:34
[SPEAKER_00]: I guess.
1:18:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but they finally did it.
1:18:37
[SPEAKER_00]: I was sort of expecting this in July, but so let's go over Block A.
1:18:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Hi, don't kill me.
1:18:42
[SPEAKER_00]: You're shaky in a moment.
1:18:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Shane haste, you can e-know, Kazu, you keep Fujita to Kashi Sugura and Alpha Wolf, Block B, Kenno, Kanta, you, uh, wait, yeah, wait, I think some, you know, no, no, I know isn't in this block, you know, you know, it's in the channel, yeah.
1:19:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
1:19:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Jen.
1:19:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, we're Jen.
1:19:02
[SPEAKER_00]: And then who is ex-dontate, Jen of NXT?
1:19:07
[SPEAKER_00]: And then Manibu Soya, Kuga returns under that gimmick.
1:19:10
[SPEAKER_00]: You got a massive pop.
1:19:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Heidi Salixander, Amasakitamia, and Ozawa.
1:19:18
[SPEAKER_00]: I gotta say other than Jen, this is a perfectly good lineup, I think.
1:19:21
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, I like to line up like you mostly like do it with your own guys as well like I mean tight as I like that kind of I think if you want to stretch the definition of an outsideer is like the outsideer here right yeah, but
1:19:36
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no.
1:19:37
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you did mostly with your own guys.
1:19:38
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's like, I like the blocks as well.
1:19:41
[SPEAKER_01]: I think they balance things fairly well there as well.
1:19:44
[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, I'm curious about some people's effort level.
1:19:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I don't know, like the cashiest girl is a great guy to have in there on paper.
1:19:52
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just, I'm a little worried about it's like, right?
1:19:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, if he's motivated, it's gonna be great, but he hasn't been in the last little while.
1:20:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Like he, honestly he might be out of like if I look at block A, he might be the guy in block A, I'm like least excited for which sounds bizarre.
1:20:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for sure.
1:20:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so, uh, note, uh, the GLC telemaps will have an October 25th.
1:20:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so they already have an ounce like one of them will happen.
1:20:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I mean, yeah, then you can definitely like throw in like a title defense in November, and that's probably like where it's going to go.
1:20:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, okay, wait, okay, so Pearl love screwed up the Pearl love screwed up the blocks here, because block A has UK, you know, and Chen and then block B has endo and then yeah
1:20:42
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I mean, I guess in that case, Chen, well, you know what, and with Chen, at least I want to see what he can do.
1:20:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, that excitement might go away, or that interest might go away pretty quickly, but that's still, I mean, for now it still leaves sugar as like the one I'm least interested in in blogging.
1:21:00
[SPEAKER_01]: And in blogbie, Vasakita Mia.
1:21:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, oh god, yeah.
1:21:04
[SPEAKER_00]: So who do you think has a chance of winning this?
1:21:06
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the thing is right because they already announced that whoever wins here is challenging an October.
1:21:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:21:12
[SPEAKER_01]: We know that person's not going to win.
1:21:14
[SPEAKER_01]: But I think that actually kind of opens things up a bit.
1:21:17
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
1:21:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Right because like if it's somebody that we know isn't going to beat Naito, then that opens like for example, Keno, actually you know what Keno I think might be a good option or that I think about it.
1:21:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see where the match is right because you have to hold like you had like the whole like It's not like story.
1:21:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so you need like a fairly you do still need a fairly big like challenge on that case Like kind of I think is an op like I think it depends it depends who is going to have to go over to it.
1:21:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, nada
1:21:49
[SPEAKER_01]: that's the other thing yeah so then kite then he would go on to so I think and maybe he and I think he's the guy that like ultimately like like it's him or Zava I like the guy said ultimately we're like beat Naito on like New Year's Eve yeah so yeah so like I don't think it's gonna be in a burham maybe right like you give him the n-1 win and then he loses against Naito and it doesn't really hurt him because he gave him the big tournament win
1:22:19
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a bit risky, but I mean, he asked, yeah, like he's drawing, record is pretty good.
1:22:23
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, to me, I would say, cano and in a more on my top two candidates to, yeah, because yet, it's not going to be, hey, it's not going to be, you know, it's not going to be for dread.
1:22:32
[SPEAKER_01]: It's definitely not going to be China.
1:22:33
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not going to be a girl or elf or wolf.
1:22:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Can't eyes another, maybe?
1:22:38
[SPEAKER_01]: right because this is probably your only chance really well is there any juice in that another can't imagine I mean they had that big match in 2020 yet yeah it's like a draw hard feel like that was but again I mean right like I think definitely if you want to put something on that it has like big marquee names that's an option
1:22:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:22:57
[SPEAKER_01]: I think yeah, cano absolutely has to be a top favorite here.
1:23:00
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not going to be kuga.
1:23:01
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not going to be so yeah, it's not going to be in though again or the hour.
1:23:07
[SPEAKER_01]: I also don't again like similar to Kaito, you don't want him to lose tonight or.
1:23:12
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not going to be Masakitami again.
1:23:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, do we all think Osawa is going to beat Naito?
1:23:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Because he's already got that one on Naito.
1:23:21
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, so you're thinking Osawa, when Stan Won loses to Naito and then Kaito beats Naito or Kaito beats Naito.
1:23:30
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you gave us, like you gave us, I would like to bake in one win.
1:23:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, if you walk by again, it probably should just be of our beating nighto in like December, whatever, right?
1:23:43
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, at the New Year's Eve show.
1:23:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, New Year's Eve show.
1:23:46
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like that's a thing.
1:23:48
[SPEAKER_01]: That's why I'm kind of like, I mean, I will say like either kind to all the hours should actually be counted as like favorites because it's basically whichever one isn't the one that is in the like New Year's Eve show.
1:24:02
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's still be a favorite.
1:24:02
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just that we don't really know which of the like I think this is going to tell us a lot about who is going to be in the main event of that show.
1:24:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, if we still always have a windows tournament, then the other one is the one like winning on December 31.
1:24:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, definitely.
1:24:20
[SPEAKER_00]: So I would say I think I'm a little more bullish on this one that I have been last couple of years because it was mostly not filler and the chance the only possible probable weak link really.
1:24:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:24:35
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Griffin said that he was solid.
1:24:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:24:38
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
1:24:38
[SPEAKER_01]: I have a team.
1:24:39
[SPEAKER_01]: I've never seen a match of his.
1:24:42
[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see.
1:24:43
[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll shift to all Japan, because there's also a lot to talk about here.
1:24:47
[SPEAKER_00]: But let's talk about the fact that that's, that's gear.
1:24:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Yagi blurting me again.
1:24:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, oh god.
1:24:53
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, this is right either he has blown out the need that he already blew out or he's blown now blown out both knees like 25 or whatever He's not very I think it's 24 still like it's disgustingly young still and he's definitely way to you have this many like like crippling the injuries
1:25:12
[SPEAKER_00]: so he like it's like he's twenty six okay it's but still yeah you don't want to have shot these at twenty six like that's going to come back to haunt you and like twenty is really really badly yeah and like because when he came back from his last injury he did not like misestact like no he did everything the same right so
1:25:32
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and it's worth it's definitely worrying for it's like long term.
1:25:36
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like I mean this might be one of those things But it's like you probably need to think about like changing a wrestling style at that point.
1:25:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, got to become like a mag guy.
1:25:46
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, which is not great Because I don't know if you remember that I don't know if you remember at ski as like a rookie before he started doing all of the high flying
1:25:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, he was very boring.
1:25:57
[SPEAKER_01]: He was really, he was, like, he was by far the weakest of, like, the freedom.
1:26:01
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought between him, then, and between him, then, and, um, Ori, like, he was, he was my bottom guy, like, I think a road up, like, when it did that, like, junior turn, when it did that, like, rookie tournament, I think I wrote up as much in, like, my review at the time, and then I think, like, immediately afterwards, he started doing all of the high flying and I
1:26:23
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, maybe he like has learned like to wrestle with out the high flying a bit better since then, but like if he hasn't, that's not great for his future prospects.
1:26:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:26:34
[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's worrying, but he's going to be gone at least probably nine months to a year again.
1:26:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:26:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:26:41
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he said AC out there.
1:26:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you know, you know, that takes a while.
1:26:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, it's still young, but I, but again, like I don't know if it's the, the other knee or the same knee, you know, honestly, I don't know which one would be worth.
1:26:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:26:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but as we'll get to in a second, look, not to dance on Attski's was fortunate, but what a great replacement.
1:27:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
1:27:05
[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, absolutely.
1:27:09
[SPEAKER_01]: That's like the best possible replacement you could have gotten.
1:27:12
[SPEAKER_01]: But, yeah, I genuinely, like I think it does make the turn of it better.
1:27:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Nothing against AdSki, but like, much asuki is just one of my all-time favorites.
1:27:22
[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
1:27:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so we started off with the Algebraan Pro Wrestling Festival, 2026 at the Dome Tachikawa Tachigi, 880 fans Supernova agency Full House.
1:27:33
[SPEAKER_00]: So the show started with Shota Kapuji versus Yasutaki Yano, a time limit dropped 15 minutes.
1:27:38
[SPEAKER_00]: That was um.
1:27:40
[SPEAKER_00]: pretty good opener, and then you may Ayoyaki, and Massen, you can code or defeat the Dekis Suzuki in Chotaro's, you know, in 15 minutes, with the end game from Ayoyaki, on Ashino, and I sort of hinted that this is gonna be the result, that Ashino was doing the problem in this match.
1:27:57
[SPEAKER_00]: And guess what, it was pretty good until then, I mean, even with that, what do you guys think?
1:28:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, well I'll talk about it because I thought there was a very interesting thing that happened on the cork and show.
1:28:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Special tag match, June, Sino, and Gosheo, Zaki, defeated Ray Sato, and Dysuke, Sacramento, 1507, with this go-on, Lariat, from Shio Zaki and Sacramento.
1:28:19
[SPEAKER_00]: This was a lot of fun.
1:28:21
[SPEAKER_00]: you know, scrambled tag partners, but a lot of fun.
1:28:24
[SPEAKER_00]: And then for the gay or a TV title, Matt Saki, Mochizuki, defeated Kubo Rashi of 4102 with the Shin's Psych, Sakaiu High Kick to win the title to become the 34th gay or a TV champion.
1:28:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Kubo Rashi, this is only his second defense.
1:28:40
[SPEAKER_00]: He only got the one defense on Azawa.
1:28:43
[SPEAKER_00]: They felt like at one point, Paul, that there was going to be a long TV title ring for him, but that
1:28:49
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it was a long reign in terms of days to not have more defenses.
1:28:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, exactly.
1:28:56
[SPEAKER_01]: They could probably could have like strewn in a couple of more like random defenses on like shows here out there, but yeah, they just didn't do that.
1:29:04
[SPEAKER_01]: I do think it helped a Kuma though.
1:29:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I think I think it definitely like elevated him, right?
1:29:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Like because he basically was just like,
1:29:12
[SPEAKER_01]: He was like a career lackey for lack of a better term before that and I think now he kind of feels like his own guy Not that he feels like a top guy or whatever But he feels like you know like mid mid to upper mid card guy now and obviously I'm excited about more Much-a-zuki in like all Japan and him having a title and you know hopefully getting a couple of like defenses with the title
1:29:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for sure.
1:29:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I thought this was a very good, you know, solid to good match.
1:29:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, much Suzuki was great, obviously, and everything like that.
1:29:42
[SPEAKER_00]: I kind of excited to see what they did with this, to be completely honest.
1:29:46
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it could very well be that he just loses it on the first defense, but I hope he, I hope he holds it for a while.
1:29:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and then triple-cron skirmish can't tell me a high and ready-key haunted defeated human enzyme when I Abbey in 1335 with the airplane throw hold from Honda on I Abbey.
1:30:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Mildly surprised finished because I Abbey does get protected, but probably the right one because you need to heat up Honda for the turn on it.
1:30:12
[SPEAKER_01]: And then I mean, I mean, I mean, actually nobody even more so than I Abbey taking to pin.
1:30:17
[SPEAKER_01]: I was surprised at Honda was still on my gut to pin an upkento.
1:30:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and then the main event was a rumble, which was up these are all the two to turn my guys.
1:30:26
[SPEAKER_00]: But that's the thing came down to Yoshioka and Adsky.
1:30:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, that.
1:30:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:30:34
[SPEAKER_00]: See, here's the funny thing, Paul.
1:30:36
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought the video looked because I looked away and then I just see like, Kofuji and Yano coming to the ring and I'm like, what?
1:30:42
[SPEAKER_00]: It's the loop around about the video, but they were the first to open the match.
1:30:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:30:49
[SPEAKER_00]: the roof on that anyway uh you know that I mean this is just a spot show whatever it should do it but uh the TV tell thing but good for them for dry 880 I mean this is that what I was paying for doing right now and then a cork and haul next to several action wars on uh obviously night that cork and haul in front of 1,368 fans which by when I'll Japan puts about to junior matches
1:31:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, no.
1:31:15
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it wasn't really like any like heavyweight match like sink a teeth into like no and they really Very much was built on you come here.
1:31:24
[SPEAKER_01]: You want to see the juniors.
1:31:25
[SPEAKER_00]: We've pointed this up before like they've done like 900 people Main event of the juniors at Corquett.
1:31:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:31:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:31:31
[SPEAKER_01]: So I think this is definitely very encouraging for them to like draw this while the like this lineup.
1:31:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah
1:31:38
[SPEAKER_00]: So, show opens with the B-block match in the junior festival.
1:31:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Uya Aoki defeats Dan Tamar at 11.5 with the Ketsugiri Chop.
1:31:45
[SPEAKER_00]: My God, was this awesome.
1:31:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so it's like, it's always hands such a good match to like open a tournament with us.
1:31:52
[SPEAKER_00]: This is the Al-Japan saying, we are a junior, we are a junior division like them.
1:31:57
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, do you know what this actually felt like?
1:32:00
[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe it just reminded me of that because Aoki was in this, but this really reminded me of like a strong division match.
1:32:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, of course, for sure.
1:32:10
[SPEAKER_01]: I had to stick to guys just going and then just fucking like chopping each other, like insanely hard.
1:32:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:32:17
[SPEAKER_01]: They got a hold on a Oh, yeah, no, that's no let's zero one Oh god, no, yeah, no, no like you need to like I said like it's weird that they made a matronia But yeah, like I either I hope they move them out of that pretty quickly like I think like I said on the last show Right like I hope maybe this is just a thing where they like
1:32:37
[SPEAKER_01]: want them to prove themselves?
1:32:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, before they're willing to give them something more like media to do.
1:32:43
[SPEAKER_01]: But look, if this is what we're getting out of him as a junior, like, fuck yeah, sign me up.
1:32:48
[SPEAKER_01]: That's what's awesome.
1:32:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's back to the show.
1:32:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I went for on this one.
1:32:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I went for in a quarter, just everyone, everyone agreed, you know, wow.
1:33:01
[SPEAKER_01]: the best opening match of the year.
1:33:03
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't just mean in like all Japan, but just like in general.
1:33:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I would have to look that up.
1:33:08
[SPEAKER_00]: What were some of the openers on some of the, I mean the, AEW paper views.
1:33:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's about the only ones that I've think and I believe rock was your versus open.
1:33:17
[SPEAKER_00]: But family was one of the opening matches.
1:33:20
[SPEAKER_00]: So, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes or may, yes
1:33:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and then next up, we had, uh, Nurki, Mr. Sider and Nurki do I to finish show the Kufuji in 340 and I with the crowdhold sort of interesting that they were giving Kufuji like 15 minute time on the draws, then he just falls to do I so quickly and get sort of treated like a rookie because they were clearly building him up like just before this.
1:34:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:34:05
[SPEAKER_01]: No, that definitely was a bit weird.
1:34:07
[SPEAKER_00]: But I do expect Kufuji's got to get a big upset, I think.
1:34:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, I do think I don't think it's gonna go zero.
1:34:13
[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's getting like two points.
1:34:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Like he's gonna beat someone, but he's only gonna beat one person in the entire tournament.
1:34:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
1:34:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, June, Sato, Ray, Sato, and Hadekis, Suzuki, Raki, Honda, defeated Yuma, Ayoyagi, Shutaro, Shino, Renai, and Kuma, Rashi, and 75 with the final event from Honda on bad humor.
1:34:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Again, this is, uh, we're getting ready for Royal Road season, I think, that's all I can,
1:34:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Take it out of this and we'll talk more about that in a minute and then again Well, you surprised that it wasn't a sheet of taking the pin here that it was like the form a triple crown champion I thought it was gonna it should or maybe yeah, so so back to the junior festival block a Sega touchy bonded feed yes attack a Yano and 1014 with the Yankee hammer to win this match This was actually a good match, but here's the thing
1:35:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Bracketing out that controversy around Yano aside and I actually do think he's a good worker.
1:35:11
[SPEAKER_00]: He's just completely He's just completely forgettable otherwise.
1:35:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Like it doesn't stand out.
1:35:17
[SPEAKER_01]: No, he's very like bland.
1:35:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, right?
1:35:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Which also makes the fact that you're going to stick your deck out, bring them in all the more.
1:35:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, even worse, yeah.
1:35:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:35:28
[SPEAKER_00]: And then in the B-block, Musaki mochizuki defeated Hoko-to-Mori in 1034 with the Twister.
1:35:34
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't.
1:35:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like this match was on the road to be better.
1:35:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was still very solid.
1:35:40
[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm perfectly happy for Omori to be wrestling like this because it was just a non-step thing.
1:35:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Honestly, also like the more we're going back until like O'Moree as a junior, the more I'm starting to think and I think you mentioned this as well like last time, right?
1:35:54
[SPEAKER_01]: We're like, this just looks like he, like this just looks much more like his natural body weight.
1:36:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, right?
1:36:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, like maybe this was actually a thing where Hokato was like, okay, you're not gonna push me as a heavy weight.
1:36:06
[SPEAKER_01]: I have to kind of like destroy my body to like,
1:36:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Stay up here to be like a credible heavyweight.
1:36:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Can I just move back down to junior and I can just like like lose a couple of pounds and like probably be like healthier overall and then I just be like a guy in a junior division like that's actually what I'm starting to think now like especially having watched this match from like he just looks he just looks much more natural now than he did before.
1:36:34
[SPEAKER_00]: And then for a triple crown skirmish, can't tell me a hara and Suhwama defeated Gosheozaki, Numa Anzai and 14 minutes of the blackout knee from Miyaharan.
1:36:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Anzai, another great match heating up both the triple crown match and go versus Suhwama.
1:36:47
[SPEAKER_00]: And a great finish knocking out Anzai with the blackout knee.
1:36:51
[SPEAKER_00]: And then man, can't tell getting some of the biggest booze that I've ever heard of when I got promo over Anzai knocked out in the middle of the ring.
1:36:59
[SPEAKER_00]: The new Anzai fans did not like that.
1:37:02
[SPEAKER_01]: No, I mean, but also like, and that's kind of it, right?
1:37:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I think before we were like, is he going to win maybe who knows like, well, I mean, like, I'll look at it all but like, I found out later, careful also to dedicate his next match to Doris.
1:37:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't like you, you know.
1:37:20
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what like you can't just have Ken to like do this constantly to answer I like like as I has to win like Yes to get like he has like Ken to has to get us come up and it's like like he can't do really like doing this right He's just riled up the like asshole like Ken to like routine you kind of has to get us come up and so he does and it's just I it's a bad business
1:37:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:37:47
[SPEAKER_00]: So next up, block H, your festival rising had or defeated Lyon to Oro in 1138 to the pinfall.
1:37:54
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't really have much to say about this.
1:37:55
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it was completely inoffensive and like, you know, Lyon to Oro has some nice moves, but I'm not writing them off, but there's just there's not much to sink a teeth into.
1:38:06
[SPEAKER_01]: It's what I'll say.
1:38:07
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you got to give them more time ahead.
1:38:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, at the same time, but he does clearly what they're looking for.
1:38:13
[SPEAKER_00]: They're like, oh, that's just going to generic loot you don't have here.
1:38:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for our due-deerture.
1:38:18
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he is definitely a very generic looter.
1:38:20
[SPEAKER_00]: I will give him the most generic, because this isn't his gimmick in Mexico.
1:38:24
[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't have a lot to come next to come.
1:38:26
[SPEAKER_01]: And we're going to be so curious how this came together.
1:38:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Right, like because like Titi is human, like did somebody just suggested them, hey, I noticed that I lay on the arrow, like he's willing to come over and they're just like, oh yeah, cool, cool.
1:38:40
[SPEAKER_01]: And like they just assumed he had a mask, so he just had to get one, like on short notice, right?
1:38:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Like it just kind of feels like that.
1:38:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Like they just put the loot at all.
1:38:50
[SPEAKER_01]: And then found out that he doesn't wear a mask, so they forced them to wear a mask, because they wanted somebody wearing a mask.
1:38:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:38:59
[SPEAKER_01]: And obviously, if you lean on the arrow, like you're not going to be like, well, I normally don't wear a mask because that risks you getting unbooked.
1:39:06
[SPEAKER_01]: So you just fucking scramble to get yourself like the most like slap together like mask.
1:39:11
[SPEAKER_01]: You can probably get in like, I don't know, two weeks or whatever.
1:39:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, a bit more like a month, you know, so still.
1:39:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah,
1:39:19
[SPEAKER_00]: And then in the main event, Sekiyo Shioka defeated Musashi in 2021 with the cash crash driver.
1:39:24
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it was pretty good.
1:39:25
[SPEAKER_00]: I saw some people say it was boring.
1:39:28
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's fair in terms of like maybe expecting a little more.
1:39:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Cause I didn't think this was as good as that junior title match from two years ago at the Champion Carnival finals.
1:39:37
[SPEAKER_00]: That was awesome.
1:39:38
[SPEAKER_00]: the gym and the awesome match.
1:39:39
[SPEAKER_00]: This was a good little match.
1:39:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Not quite at that level, but maybe a little too long.
1:39:44
[SPEAKER_00]: At that, but you know, I can't say, you know, much too many more bad things about it.
1:39:50
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's still perfectly good match from two great wrestlers.
1:39:52
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:39:53
[SPEAKER_01]: I think what maybe I heard a little from me as well is that these two were like if they hadn't already ended like you're seeing okay, I'll see if you'd like if you had like main event it is and like this is like the culmination of the feud I think that word I've worked like a lot better like you're see yoga wins here and then they reconcile afterwards
1:40:13
[SPEAKER_01]: I think that would have worked better.
1:40:15
[SPEAKER_01]: We already have seen you two like few this year.
1:40:18
[SPEAKER_01]: We've already gotten the culmination of it and you've reconciled and everything.
1:40:23
[SPEAKER_01]: So as you said, it was perfectly acceptable wrestling, but it wasn't any emotion there, really.
1:40:31
[SPEAKER_01]: It was perfectly acceptable and it kind of left me just feeling just kind of like yeah, that was nice Thanks.
1:40:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that all right, so let's get into raw world turn a bit participants because there's a lot to talk about here Okay, well, that's what I'm really excited about.
1:40:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I know I know
1:40:51
[SPEAKER_00]: So let's start off here.
1:40:52
[SPEAKER_00]: We got, I'm going to go in reverse order of this internal bracket because, well, you'll see why in a minute.
1:40:57
[SPEAKER_00]: So we got, can't tell me a hara.
1:40:58
[SPEAKER_00]: We got Heo Gawa, which he got a big pop.
1:41:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:41:02
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's a guy.
1:41:03
[SPEAKER_01]: I like that probably goes on today, like signing right up, right?
1:41:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, oh for sure.
1:41:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Ryuki Honda, Kuma Rashi, so that's also a first round batch.
1:41:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Another first round batch is Zion versus Odyssey.
1:41:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh god, just get that out of the way now.
1:41:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Those boys get it out of the way.
1:41:23
[SPEAKER_00]: And then Go Shio Zaki versus Red Eye Abbey on that side of the bracket.
1:41:27
[SPEAKER_00]: is your other first round match.
1:41:30
[SPEAKER_00]: And then we got Daisuke Sekamoto versus Chotaro Shino.
1:41:33
[SPEAKER_00]: And then when a Shino was announced, he got a huge pop, like here's the thing.
1:41:37
[SPEAKER_00]: He's still very over that crap.
1:41:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:41:40
[SPEAKER_00]: More so, like, look, whatever, I could go on, but I'm not going to, but I'll just know how over he did.
1:41:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Then we got June Sido versus you, my Aoyagi.
1:41:49
[SPEAKER_00]: We've got Ray Sido versus you, my Anzot, who may well be triple crown champion by this point.
1:41:55
[SPEAKER_00]: And then, caffing off the first round of this tournament, Paul, Hadecki Suzuki versus Timothy Thatsher.
1:41:59
[SPEAKER_00]: That's your future.
1:42:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go.
1:42:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
1:42:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, oh, and this is a batch box specifically for me And it I didn't know I didn't know that whoever books the promotion is actually listening to this podcast and decided to like I don't know like I kind of call it a birthday present My birthday was way too fucking long ago, but
1:42:26
[SPEAKER_01]: it definitely feels like a present to me specifically.
1:42:29
[SPEAKER_01]: I will say that.
1:42:30
[SPEAKER_01]: This booking is probably also a present to Hadekki.
1:42:33
[SPEAKER_01]: It's also a present to Hadekki.
1:42:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, that is the much more actual reason for it, but I'll take it.
1:42:40
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll take one of my favorite restless and one of my favorite promotions of all time.
1:42:43
[SPEAKER_01]: So again, if you match, I know match that I think will be good as well.
1:42:51
[SPEAKER_00]: So is this more of a sign that WWE relationship with Noah is dead or is it just all had a key personal?
1:42:57
[SPEAKER_01]: It's it's well, I don't I okay.
1:43:00
[SPEAKER_01]: I do think to know a W relationship is dead.
1:43:03
[SPEAKER_01]: But I think this is just purely like he techie booking his body.
1:43:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
1:43:07
[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, but it's not even like fature is really like a wrestler in WWE, like he's like a straight in a day that like does like like he base like he exclusively wrestles outside of WWE essentially does um who's winning the whole tournament or the match like how many days off do you think that you're happy?
1:43:27
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, fatra has.
1:43:28
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you're not just flying over to Japan just for like one match, right?
1:43:32
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that would be a bit mental.
1:43:35
[SPEAKER_01]: I could see them like basically telling him, yeah, like, yeah, okay, you can, like, like a don't think he's gonna, is he gonna be in the fight?
1:43:43
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, no, I don't think he's gonna be in the fight.
1:43:47
[SPEAKER_01]: But I could definitely see him like making it like out of like I could definitely see him make it like I could definitely see him like beat hiteki And then he's probably losing to have like went between like Ray and Anne's eye.
1:44:01
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what Timothy Fattler was his humor and so I yeah
1:44:05
[SPEAKER_01]: like let's go.
1:44:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, Fatch was last couple matches of both been with WWE aligned things.
1:44:13
[SPEAKER_00]: He worked the nightmare factory showcase and he worked a reality of wrestling show, which is Book of Tees.
1:44:19
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but yeah, that's what he's doing these days.
1:44:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think he beats Hadekki, why bring like you don't fly a guy out to lose in the first round.
1:44:30
[SPEAKER_00]: And he can then he'd take he can lose like it's fine.
1:44:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and the fact that guy that he take he's willing to lose to as well.
1:44:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
1:44:39
[SPEAKER_00]: So my final four that I got up here was Anzai.
1:44:44
[SPEAKER_00]: No, sorry, no.
1:44:45
[SPEAKER_00]: June Anzai Honda and go.
1:44:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, that's an excellent, like, final four.
1:44:54
[SPEAKER_00]: and Honda beats go and then I'm trying to figure out how since Anne's I will probably be the champion, I probably have June versus Honda as the yeah and then have June and then you can also always have that in your back pocket for another title match before December 31st.
1:45:14
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, obviously we were talking about it like it just makes the most sense in the world for like Honda to like win this tournament.
1:45:20
[SPEAKER_01]: But right.
1:45:21
[SPEAKER_01]: Finally win it.
1:45:21
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
1:45:22
[SPEAKER_01]: This one other final I may suggest as well that would also make sense as well.
1:45:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Although it's the whole Honda story.
1:45:31
[SPEAKER_01]: And June versus Go.
1:45:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
1:45:33
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I agree.
1:45:34
[SPEAKER_00]: I know where you're going with this.
1:45:36
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, right.
1:45:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Like because that's the, that's the like rematch from December 31st.
1:45:44
[SPEAKER_01]: Go gets his win back and then challenges and I for the title, but also make a lot of sense.
1:45:50
[SPEAKER_01]: I think to me, it's like between, it's basically like the, the semi final between going on.
1:45:57
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like whoever wins there's going to win the tournament essentially.
1:46:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if gold, I mean, if hard it doesn't win this tournament or at least go to the final, you basically have spoiled the haunted story of the last three.
1:46:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, because your hat them come so close.
1:46:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I guess you could still technically do it next year, but it would feel a lot like less than at that point.
1:46:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, if you make the final on loses again, I could understand.
1:46:19
[SPEAKER_00]: But if you doesn't make the final, then you've ruined it.
1:46:22
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, if he doesn't even make the final, yeah, but then like if he makes it to the final it's like I don't know like make sense for June to win the tournament Unless you literally want to say unless you literally want to set it up in such a way that like next year his entire Royal Road tournament is him facing off against guys that he lost to in the finals
1:46:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Kojima.
1:46:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:46:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:46:52
[SPEAKER_00]: That's a good point.
1:46:53
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
1:46:54
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, no, I do think like I still agree.
1:46:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I think June go is like the only other final that makes any sense.
1:47:00
[SPEAKER_01]: But like to me, you'll have to go with Honda here.
1:47:03
[SPEAKER_01]: And then you do Honda versus Anzai and like Honda loses nothing by like losing to Anzai after
1:47:11
[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's going to be an amazing match and they got history.
1:47:14
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:47:15
[SPEAKER_01]: So that's the obviously right call.
1:47:16
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just that I'm looking at things that I'm like, okay, what's like something else that would make sense in terms of like things that have been built up previously and that would be June where it's a scope.
1:47:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but overall I think I think Honda I think it's it's basically it's 75% like basically I put the odd 75% Honda 25% go no one else makes any sense June kinder maybe maybe okay, I can put like 1% of June I mean, you know what 75 25 for June so
1:47:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, so, I mean, could you see Yuma, I mean, Aoyagi, beating June in the first round?
1:47:54
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that seems as an upset.
1:47:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that seems possible.
1:47:59
[SPEAKER_00]: That seems possible, yeah.
1:48:00
[SPEAKER_01]: And then if you want to go back on track, basically.
1:48:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Who do you think wins between Ashino and Second Motor?
1:48:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's a coin flip, essentially, right?
1:48:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think she just, I hope it's
1:48:11
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I hope it's a Shaina too, but then I'd love to see the universe's June.
1:48:15
[SPEAKER_01]: That could be a lot of Yeah, the thing is like whoever wins and that one is just gonna like lose the next much like just like whoever wins to eliminate it and run to Yeah, but ends our versus statute.
1:48:26
[SPEAKER_00]: That's that's the stand note for round one.
1:48:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, absolutely.
1:48:30
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm also kind of curious about you.
1:48:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, sorry.
1:48:33
[SPEAKER_01]: I was sorry.
1:48:33
[SPEAKER_01]: I've fetched over as fetched over as and so yeah and run to yeah.
1:48:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, God will versus me.
1:48:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
1:48:41
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no, no, absolutely.
1:48:42
[SPEAKER_01]: But that's also why they're probably going to be like, oh, we got to sign this kid.
1:48:45
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, A, he has to write size and also be like, I fuck it, like, you know what, just sign him?
1:48:51
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what?
1:48:52
[SPEAKER_01]: We were thinking about like, who's going to team with Mia Harra and the real world tagly?
1:48:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh.
1:48:58
[SPEAKER_01]: Put these together.
1:48:59
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just going to be like fucking bugging for the camera for like 15 minutes.
1:49:03
[SPEAKER_01]: And then, Mia Harra just hits whoever they're up against
1:49:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, okay.
1:49:11
[SPEAKER_00]: What do you think of the lineup overall?
1:49:13
[SPEAKER_00]: I like the lineup.
1:49:14
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's pretty damn good lineup again Like you know, like you did it mostly with like your own guys.
1:49:19
[SPEAKER_01]: You brought in Fatcher Which you know what that's a fair like outside guy and then you bring in Ogawa who is like, you know, like a guy that you want to get a look at to see if you potentially want to sign up Oh, Paul Paul.
1:49:31
[SPEAKER_00]: I told you screwed up my file for
1:49:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, here's my final four.
1:49:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I just room this because I put this in the discord.
1:49:37
[SPEAKER_00]: I was really looking at the bracket and something didn't sit right to me.
1:49:40
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm still going here and I tune Honda Zion.
1:49:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you think Zion of beating go.
1:49:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, because they had that match at should keep a remember that they got the main event they went to.
1:49:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
1:49:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, one.
1:49:56
[SPEAKER_01]: That's my suggestion.
1:49:57
[SPEAKER_01]: That actually does make some sense as well.
1:50:00
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I could, no, yeah.
1:50:03
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so then Honda takes out Zion.
1:50:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:50:06
[SPEAKER_01]: And then, yeah, you do June versus Honda in the final.
1:50:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Could you and Fury also do ANSIDE versus Honda in the final?
1:50:12
[SPEAKER_01]: And then basically, and it's just immediately gets his win back in the triple crown match.
1:50:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but because that way at least you have Honda at least gets a win over Anzai.
1:50:22
[SPEAKER_00]: He's gotten wins over Anzai before and like they're carnival.
1:50:25
[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not.
1:50:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I mean, yeah, yeah, you could do that.
1:50:28
[SPEAKER_00]: I guess it's just depending on well, the thing is, is this is their telematch going to happen at Corkin the next month, or is it going to happen on the, um, a title tour?
1:50:37
[SPEAKER_00]: because this is the finals were in Corquins, so do you run the same made of at Corquins back to back?
1:50:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Or, you know, if you put Honda versus Anzion twice, but you do the other rematch in Hokkaido, I think that's also been, yeah.
1:50:50
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
1:50:51
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what, I think June versus Honda is just, it's cleaner basically, it does do that as the final.
1:50:58
[SPEAKER_01]: And again, I don't think Honda really loses anything if he just loses the triple crown challenge afterwards.
1:51:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for sure.
1:51:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Now, what your math change in terms of like, Honda, like, okay, what in case can to win the triple crown match, what you have Honda beat canto?
1:51:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I still think you got to finish the Honda story one more and another.
1:51:20
[SPEAKER_00]: It's got to go to the finals to keep the story going.
1:51:22
[SPEAKER_01]: No, but I mean, like, do you have Honda then beat Kenta for the triple crown?
1:51:26
[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's Honda ready.
1:51:28
[SPEAKER_00]: He needs to...
1:51:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Bit more time.
1:51:30
[SPEAKER_00]: No, that's not that.
1:51:32
[SPEAKER_00]: He needs to like dial back the gimmick and be a little more serious.
1:51:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, yet it's basically what I meant.
1:51:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you need to refine the gimmick.
1:51:38
[SPEAKER_01]: You need to bit more time to refine the gimmick.
1:51:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:51:41
[SPEAKER_00]: like his work is the a bit be a bit more badass as kicker and a little less not less goofy.
1:51:47
[SPEAKER_00]: I think Honda's work.
1:51:49
[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's underrated in some ways.
1:51:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Like he's dependable.
1:51:52
[SPEAKER_00]: He has good matches with more limited opponents.
1:51:55
[SPEAKER_00]: I think not like spectacular but like he's able to get stuff out of him and yeah.
1:52:00
[SPEAKER_00]: So I just think he's a little even in just a little underrated.
1:52:03
[SPEAKER_00]: So I think his work is ready.
1:52:05
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just the gimmick is too much to be
1:52:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no, yeah, for sure, but he's still my, he's my number one seed in this tournament at least going to the finals.
1:52:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, absolutely.
1:52:15
[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, that's why a little yeah, I forgot Zion was my other pick for the final.
1:52:20
[SPEAKER_01]: And he's over like what I see it and they do like to use this kind of stuff for like, they do they do like to do do this kind of stuff for For the Royal Road, right, but it's always somebody that is kind of a bit of a surprise of like how deep they actually go in the tournament
1:52:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Like when they had run a job, it went like a couple of years ago.
1:52:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's the thing, so.
1:52:43
[SPEAKER_00]: We shall see.
1:52:43
[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I'm expected to be a pretty good tournament.
1:52:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Like they decided to put the works back to the first Brad to get it out of the way.
1:52:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
1:52:52
[SPEAKER_01]: And thankful for that.
1:52:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:52:55
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, also, I've also always a fan of one ray and Anzai mix it up.
1:52:59
[SPEAKER_00]: I love their chemistry.
1:53:00
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm eagerly awaiting that match as well.
1:53:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Like a few surprise, like, look, is June gonna go all the way to the semis.
1:53:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
1:53:08
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I don't think it's impossible
1:53:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Hmm, but then I'm not like, but then Ray would have to go to the final unless you my goes to the final.
1:53:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:53:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, here's the final Ray.
1:53:21
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Anzai Anzai would have to go to the final, right?
1:53:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
1:53:24
[SPEAKER_01]: If you might make it to the semis, then unless Anzai goes to the stufature.
1:53:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you know, like, that's the thing, but it gets a lot messy if you Man.
1:53:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, God.
1:53:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Thatcher is the kind of guy you could challenge on the Hokkaido to a stake stick around.
1:53:37
[SPEAKER_00]: So you're giving him the tournament one?
1:53:39
[SPEAKER_00]: No, not the tournament, but just a win-over-hand side.
1:53:41
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, actually win-over-hand side.
1:53:43
[SPEAKER_01]: I see, yeah, it's like a claim to challenge, yeah.
1:53:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and you give them, like, in front of, like, 700 people in Hokkaido, you can do that.
1:53:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:53:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think that could work, you know, uh, let me see if, um, June side to versus Timothy Fathcher would be an interesting.
1:53:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that, that, that, that rock, like because it would be like it would be June, like, selling his arm or something for the whole night.
1:54:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like, what would that match be?
1:54:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, um, okay.
1:54:13
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'll Japan before the Hokkaido tour.
1:54:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh god, they got a really busy October.
1:54:18
[SPEAKER_00]: So they have a whole tour like the whatever the anniversary tour that goes from August 3rd to August or sorry October 3rd to October 22nd and then on the 26th they go to Hokkaido.
1:54:31
[SPEAKER_00]: And so they got shows in St. Thomas, Miyagi,
1:54:38
[SPEAKER_00]: October 22nd.
1:54:39
[SPEAKER_00]: So there's probably going to be like some title matches on those other shows and like say Toma, like Cag title, or Junior title, or oh, also we forgot to mention all Ace of Tag titles are vacant now.
1:54:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, so we did all of that long story line, yeah, but I mean, it's not that fault, but like it's just, yeah.
1:54:58
[SPEAKER_00]: So presumably, you're going to get a match on the 22nd, uh, in Corch and Hall, triple crown.
1:55:05
[SPEAKER_00]: It would sort of be the winner versus whoever the triple current champion is, right?
1:55:09
[SPEAKER_00]: And you're going to have to come up with a, um, a match for a title match for Sapporo.
1:55:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and then you would, you don't want to burn up a big match for that, either.
1:55:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm.
1:55:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:55:20
[SPEAKER_01]: I think, you know what, the more we're talking about, the more I'm like talking myself into Fadja beating hands at you.
1:55:26
[SPEAKER_00]: And then do, running ends, I versus Fadja, and like, support over something?
1:55:29
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:55:29
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:55:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:55:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:55:32
[SPEAKER_01]: I get just makes sense, right?
1:55:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it's just, it's also the kind of thing, all Japan would do as well.
1:55:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:55:38
[SPEAKER_00]: And then you've established a new, like, foreigner.
1:55:41
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's obviously, it's like, you know, that like, I mean, Ayoyagi, right, unless that's the world they want to go, we're like, basically, like, you might Ayoyagi beats Anzai and then loses to Honda in the final.
1:55:53
[SPEAKER_01]: And then you could also do that in Sapporo, but that I don't know that that feels like a match that is too big for that, even with like, you can't hear it.
1:56:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Here's the next question.
1:56:02
[SPEAKER_00]: I still don't have like, it doesn't feel like he's doing anything, but it also doesn't feel like he's being punished.
1:56:06
[SPEAKER_00]: So I really don't know what the thing on Yuma, Ayoyagi is, right?
1:56:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Is that eating pins?
1:56:12
[SPEAKER_01]: And he said, he ate the pin from Honda.
1:56:17
[SPEAKER_01]: It was that American.
1:56:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you're right, you're right.
1:56:19
[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I mean, he doesn't eating that many pins.
1:56:21
[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, it's not as much as it was, like, after he had come back, yeah.
1:56:25
[SPEAKER_00]: And he's also still in, like, the six man's in the upper part of the car that are building to big-tail matches.
1:56:31
[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't feel like he's being punished.
1:56:33
[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't feel like he's being pushed either, right?
1:56:35
[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't have a feel on, you know, how they feel about him.
1:56:39
[SPEAKER_00]: It's hard to say.
1:56:39
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, again, if you do want to, I mean, but then again, like, if you want to, like, I mean, that would be a way to re-establish it, right?
1:56:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Here's the thing though.
1:56:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Keep you just feel safe protecting.
1:56:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly, that's what I mean, but that would be a way to like re-establish her and it's like he beats June He beats the current Like he beats like Ashina Sakamoto whatever But then he beats like the current triple crown champion and it loses in the final But like that is a way to re-establish her
1:57:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:57:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that works too.
1:57:09
[SPEAKER_00]: So I think the point is though, like this will be a good tournament because it's like, you know, yeah, despite the fact that the winner is kind of obvious.
1:57:18
[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of interesting angles in there.
1:57:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
1:57:22
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, well, I'm not 100% on Honda.
1:57:25
[SPEAKER_00]: I just think he needs to at least get the finals, but he still is by top choice to win it all.
1:57:30
[SPEAKER_00]: And everything like that.
1:57:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, do you have any final closing thoughts before we head out of here?
1:57:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, not much.
1:57:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Could I think the recording potentially one more time before I leave for all in?
1:57:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Ah, there's not much that's going to happen.
1:57:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, all right.
1:57:47
[SPEAKER_00]: It is not much.
1:57:48
[SPEAKER_01]: It's actually happening.
1:57:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's do it.
1:57:50
[SPEAKER_00]: because nothing starts till September in turn of the land and the 29th is it the same day as all in or all in it's on the 30th but I'm all lying out to London on the 28th yeah if it doesn't exactly two weeks Jesus
1:58:07
[SPEAKER_00]: We can always come back and talk about the rest of the jury turn, right?
1:58:11
[SPEAKER_00]: But all of the Noah match, like Noah title matches are all in September, like the junior title, Mark Fuji, defending against, um, it kind of really is more nothing in the back half of August at all, right?
1:58:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's kind of weird.
1:58:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see here.
1:58:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, September 23rd is Ky versus Alejandro.
1:58:31
[SPEAKER_00]: And then September 15th is by Fuji versus Damascus.
1:58:34
[SPEAKER_00]: So this is basically break time for Noah.
1:58:37
[SPEAKER_00]: And then Al-Japan just said the junior tournament shows.
1:58:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean the end one kicks off in like a bit September, but yeah, the last is kind of.
1:58:44
[SPEAKER_01]: Nothing else.
1:58:44
[SPEAKER_01]: We might not.
1:58:46
[SPEAKER_00]: We could come back and just do a quick episode.
1:58:48
[SPEAKER_00]: So we should follow.
1:58:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we'll see if we can figure out something that week.
1:58:52
[SPEAKER_01]: So if you're hearing us again like in like two weeks, we figured something out if not you're going to hear be talk about like all in after.
1:59:01
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, we'll have a good safe trip to London and for the rest of you enjoy all the wrestling out there.
1:59:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Bye.
