- 0:00SPEAKER_00: We have to do seven minutes this time because we did nine minutes.
- 0:04SPEAKER_00: We did nine minutes last time.
- 0:07SPEAKER_01: Does that worry you that the uh that like we lost the eight in the morning, then we lost the eight minutes?
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: Like are you feeling uh it's you have to you have to go for seven to make up for nine you have to you it worries you but it but not enough to not do seven.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: I like having some kind of rules, and it doesn't none of it worries me because we're just trying to figure out what to do if we ever do a podcast.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: So if you go to nine, then you next day you gotta go to seven.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 0:38SPEAKER_01: But only but only occasionally.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: But only sometimes.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: But but but most of the time, sometimes.
- 0:47unknown: Yes.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: What are you doing right now?
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: What's happening for you in California?
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: Um I'm just standing outside in my underwear and uh loving the fact that nobody can see me.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: That is nice.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: I just love it.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: I just love that I can't I mean I can kind of see my neighbors a little bit if I look, kind of.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: What's going on with you with you guys?
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: I'm uh in my studio, I'm painting.
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: As we're talking, I'm painting.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah, what are you painting?
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: Uh it's a mandala.
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: But but you know what, it's a special kind of mandala.
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: Because I think my favorite kinds are the ones that aren't aren't are are are uh not very symmetrical.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: They're only they only like suggest symmetry.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: So you like the mandalas that aren't mandalas, basically.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, what but well, I don't know.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: I don't I think they would still qualify.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't know what a mandala.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: When you look at them, they look symmetrical.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, well, it's like a symmetrical pattern, right?
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: And these I call semi-symmetrical.
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: So they're like, you know, maybe the top the top is symmetrical left to right and the bottom is symmetrical left to right, but the top and the bottom aren't symmetrical.
- 2:08SPEAKER_01: Does that make sense?
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: Maybe you should make a new word for that.
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: I call it semi-symmetrical, or like a mandal.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: Well, anyway, um uh it's just it's just getting to the point where it's getting fun finally forever.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: Well, we gotta talk about stuff because you know people are kept.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: I like pop pop psychology.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: I like pop's eye.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: I think that's good.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: I think Silas is onto something.
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah, pop psychology.
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: I was surprised to hear that.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: I was like, oh, that's that's pretty good.
- 2:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and and and but we had he doesn't know we had already landed on Steve 8.
- 2:45SPEAKER_01: He didn't even know it was called Steve 8.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: It could be Steve 8, a podcast about pop psychology.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: Like it could be a tagline.
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: You know, he said that now that he knows we don't do it every day, he would listen again.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: Because I think every day was just it was in his feed too much, and so he just was like, I'm not listening to this every day.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: Well, we just do it, we just do it when we do it, and then maybe it'll it'll it'll my feeling is it'll create its own rhythm.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: And then, you know, in 20 years when we're when we're on Johnny Carson, when he comes back from the dead, and he says, Why did what you know tell me about your podcast that's not a podcast, and then we'll have an answer, like, oh yeah, it's satchel and Steve, we talk for eight minutes once a week, and he's gonna say, He's been once a week for 20 years, and we'll go, Yeah, it didn't, you know, it started out, we thought it'd be every day, but then it became once a week, or whatever it is.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: You know, whatever, whatever we'll figure it out in 20 years, we'll have an answer for Johnny Carson.
- 3:51SPEAKER_01: Oh man, for sure.
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: Uh huh.
- 3:53SPEAKER_01: 20 years sounds like a long time.
- 3:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I I probably I guess I could still be alive.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm I think I'm gonna be alive, it's just whether I'll be you know coherent, yeah.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: That word, yeah, yeah.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: So, you know.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: Um, what what's you got any news?
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: You got any news or anything?
- 4:16SPEAKER_01: Uh I just went, I just went uh to Nashville, that was it, and now I'm back.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: I'm trying to, you know, get back in my rhythm, you know?
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, get back in the rhythm.
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: I got work to do, I got a whole bunch of work.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: Oh man, I gotta list and list and list of work, but I want to get to the fun stuff, but I'm trying to get all the work done first.
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: So you're trying to get to the mandal.
- 4:35SPEAKER_01: Well, this is kind of the fun stuff now that I'm doing this, you know.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: But during the daytime, I'm really chasing projects all day and I'm like, I'm gonna work in the yard.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: But anyway, yeah.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: And well, we gotta we gotta come up with something to talk about on this one because oh uh Wells Wells is gonna be like what happened?
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: What's hey?
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: What are you not talking about?
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: What are you talking about?
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: What are you guys talking about?
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: I'm I'm I'm waiting for something to talk about.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: For I'm waiting to listen to something informative, some pop psychology, and so far, nothing.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: We've got nothing.
- 5:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: We've got nothing.
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: Well, I I don't know, man.
- 5:15SPEAKER_01: I feel pretty happy right now.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: Okay, so happy is good.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: So, oh, I took a ride.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: My my buddy bought a new Porsche.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: Uh, my my buddy Mike, who who just won an Emmy last night.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: Well, his show won an Emmy, he won an Emmy, right?
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: Wow, yeah, it's pretty cool.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: Um and uh for a show called DTF St.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: Louis, which is awesome.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: I think all of our listeners should should watch it.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: Um but he won an Emmy, and then he came up, he used to live here, he used to be my neighbor, and he had bought a new portion.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: He had there's these really great roads to drive on, and it's a 700 horsepower twin, it's a supercharged, two superchargers on a V6.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: It's just ridiculous.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: And he drives it like a race car.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: And and I I was like, I'm I might I might just lose it here.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: Um, it was like you're you're on a roller coaster for a half hour, and he drove it hardcore, and so that was my adventure.
- 6:23SPEAKER_01: Was it fun or was it scary?
- 6:24SPEAKER_01: Which one was it?
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: He's a really good driver, and that car is like driving, like it's like you do not feel like something's gonna you know break loose here.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: So it was super fun, super fun.
- 6:38SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so that was my adventure 700 horsepower Porsche.
- 6:43SPEAKER_01: It sounds amazing, yeah.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: And then we had a hamburger.
- 6:47SPEAKER_01: Oh wow, straight a Zemi.
- 6:49SPEAKER_01: Man, that's some California dreaming right there, man.
