- 4:13gonna be tuning in. Hey mama, So missus Blossom, Yeah, girl,
- 4:18you gotta tell us about you first, give us a little rundown.
- 4:25Well, let me give you together at My name is Blossom, Blossom Rogers,
- 4:31truly grateful, recovering attic. I smoke crack for nineteen years, but
- 4:39God I have nineteen years clean. I am safe, safely, fire and
- 4:43filled with the Holy ghost. I still love the Lord and he loves me.
- 4:46I'm not perfect, but I save a perfect God. Oh right.
- 4:51I am the proud mother of three grown sons, thirteen grand babies, and
- 4:56three great grandchildren. Old yeah that part thirteen. The boys believe and be
- 5:06fruitful and multiplied. All right to the word. And I started early and
- 5:12two years ago I be sixty years old. So God is good. Uh,
- 5:16and smoke dope for nineteen of them years. But you know what I
- 5:19tell people, You know, they say, how can you be so jolly
- 5:24it? Because I'm free. We gotta remember when you could be true to
- 5:28yourself, you can be true to anybody else. God bless you. I
- 5:31am the author of four books from Underbridge one from Underbridge two. And they
- 5:36laugh, And when they laugh, I want somebody to catch this. In
- 5:41the natural and in the spirit. We got two kinds of laughter, and
- 5:45they laughing with us, are at us, Okay, So I want your
- 5:47to catch that because now now we got so much going on. You know,
- 5:51you got you think you have people that support you. Now I'm not
- 5:54gonna say I got some people that back me up, that'll fight with me,
- 5:57you know what I'm saying. But you can then you got some people
- 6:00that you in the boat and there in the back sitting the boat and putting
- 6:02holes in your boat with a butter knife, a plastic butter knife or that.
- 6:06So in this season, y'all ask God to show you who's with you,
- 6:11because we ain't got no time to be wasting it. You understanding.
- 6:15But like I said, I I love telling my story. I love the
- 6:23things I've been through. I'm not gonna say that they were easy, but
- 6:26we all know that everything works together for our good, for the ones that
- 6:30are called, the ones that love God, and the ones that are called
- 6:34according to His purpose. We got to get that thing right. In my
- 6:40first book, I talked about how I went through molestation and I want somebody
- 6:45to hit me bell. Well, when we were chillsen, when I was
- 6:47coming up, you could not go to school and tell the teachers nothing.
- 6:51We we You better not go tell nobody nothing. Because African Americans, we're
- 6:57raised. Whatever happens in the house stays in it house. But we're just
- 7:00as sick as our secrets. Okay, So yeah, yeah, wow,
- 7:06that was right because you know what, as long as we keep the secrets,
- 7:12that's what kept me out there for nineteen years because I couldn't talk about
- 7:15it. And when we're go through abuse as a child, will we ever
- 7:23have a natural relationship? You understand me, because our childhood is snatched from
- 7:28us. And you know, they always say she's so fast, but why
- 7:30is that child acting like that? You know what I'm saying. So we
- 7:33got Yeah, we got to start. But then you guys also remember too
- 7:38that you're dealing with generations of purses as well. And I believe in my
- 7:42heart that God has raised me up to break that I had. I was
- 7:46on the show last weekend and the pastor asked me, He said, Blossom,
- 7:48what kind of cabs that you used up being up under the bridge?
- 7:51It was a nineteen ninety three dynasty. He said, Well, God is
- 7:55allowing you to create a dynasty for your generation. So it's full circle,
- 8:00y'all. Why are we here on this earth? Are we gonna barbecue mill?
- 8:03Do it? When we stand before the Lord? We can't say they
- 8:07was gonna get mad with me if I did this. The books are not
- 8:11to hurt anybody. The books are to help somebody, you know what I'm
- 8:15saying. So Book one I talk about going through the molestation, and for
- 8:20anybody who went through it, if we were children, it was not our
- 8:24fault. As long as you continue to keep covering it, covering up or
- 8:28sweeping the burn of the rug, eventually you're not gonna baby walk on that
- 8:31rug. Because there's so many humps and bumps in it. So I talk
- 8:37about getting pregnant at an early age because, as we know, a baby
- 8:41don't keep a man. I talk about how I got married at an early
- 8:46age because my first husband was in the military. I said, money travel,
- 8:50I can get away from home, but at times we run. We
- 8:54can't run away from ourselves because sometimes we the problem. Okay, I'm just
- 8:56saying I'm talking about Blossom now. And then I talk about how I met
- 9:01a guy who was already on crack cocaine, and I don't know why.
- 9:05Let me tell save Blossom. We think we could change people, we can't
- 9:09change ourselves. It takes god. So in the club and I don't know
- 9:16why. You get in the club and you're getting looking in the mirror,
- 9:18dancing to yourself, and I looked over my shoulder and that he was that
- 9:22thing was fires all out there. He was smoking crack, you know.
- 9:26And then I used to think, let me tell us, like I used
- 9:30to think that if a god didn't beat you, he didn't love you.
- 9:31So when he started beating me and taking my money, I said, if
- 9:35I can't beat him, my my as well. Journal Because you got to
- 9:37remember, I didn't know where I belonged. Because my childhood had been snashed
- 9:41and messed up. You know, the enemy had already peeped into my future.
- 9:45He said, let me start messing with her. Now, anytime you
- 9:48have an assignment or anytime that you have been picked out to be picked on,
- 9:52the enemy is go and try to do his best to destroy us,
- 9:56to destroy you. Yeah. Yeah, but like I said, well thing,
- 10:00we have to remember that any anytime God calls you, anything that we
- 10:03do for the Lord, it shall last. Now. Is it gonna feel
- 10:07good? No, it's not. But we gotta continue. If you got
- 10:11a wipe or till, keep going. And I just want to encourage somebody
- 10:13tonight. Keep going. Don't stop, don't stop. Yeah, we're gonna
- 10:18fall short, but don't stay down there in it, you know what I'm
- 10:20saying. And stop letting people make it. See God, you know what
- 10:22God called us. Stop letting these sister sister flip Flop and sister plump tell
- 10:28you what you can't do. You understand me, because you know every time
- 10:33about I used to your sister flip Flop and sister Plump. Actually i'm y'all
- 10:39already because I wasn't ready for that one. We you know, we got
- 10:43to stop allowed because we're gonna be accountable when God come back, because we
- 10:48sitting here and be judging people. You know they want to they want to
- 10:50clean the fish, then catch you. You can't do that. You gotta
- 10:54let God. God don't want to that can can clean. So book number
- 10:58two, I talk about how the prison. My prison number is fifty eight
- 11:01ninety nine thirty one. I had that number for the rest of my life.
- 11:03It's just not a functional number. When I went to prison, were
- 11:07chopping trees, one girl on one side, well on the other side,
- 11:09So I did some hard time. I talk about how I had a man
- 11:15to leave me for another man. I also talk about how and I'm not
- 11:18judging them nobody I'm talking and everything I'm talking about, I'm talking about blossom
- 11:22story. Okay, I was delivered from a homosexual lifestyle because being molested and
- 11:28rape, Blossom thought that going with a woman was the right life for her.
- 11:33I can't. I ain't got no heaven or no hell to put nobody
- 11:35in. I also talk about when my brother was in prison, how he
- 11:41died and I couldn't come home to the funeral, so I had I had
- 11:43a lot of crushes to keep me on crack cocaine because I didn't want to.
- 11:46You know, some people say, you got you gotta hurt in order
- 11:50to heal. You know how them old people say, girl, take that
- 11:52baby off from going out there and playing because some little dirt gotta get it.
- 11:56You gotta get it's gotta be for the grid. I hurt this side,
- 12:00not the outside end. So I also talk about I did so much.
- 12:05I did ny take a thing. Like I told you earlier, I
- 12:09smoked dope. I didn't play with it. Either you're gonna do I don't
- 12:15like to be around anybody who say they fitnes do something. How you spell
- 12:18sit now even we're gonna do it, or you're not gonna do it.
- 12:22At both of your choices at that part it up. So I also talk
- 12:26about in my books, I talk about I did everything out there. Butt
- 12:31slept with the animal, and that was just the butt. Because if the
- 12:33dope boy would have said, blossom, I'll give you an ounce if you
- 12:37see what lasted. You know that commercial that say give nineteen cents a day
- 12:41for the dog because it's out, that would have been lasted if you would
- 12:43have helped me got my throat because I'm still a hustler, you understand me.
- 12:48But I hustle for God. You know, a lot of people say,
- 12:50how do you get on all these shows and stuff? Do you have
- 12:52a pr or a manager? No? I have God. And in the
- 12:58same way I used to knock on dope board doors. Can I do this
- 13:01or do that? Get a hitocrack? It's the same way I do with
- 13:05TV shows. I go in the inbox. If I'm coming to your inbox,
- 13:07I'm coming in there for about something. I ain't coming in enough for
- 13:11no games. So that's how God messes me to get on shows to tell
- 13:15my story because it's my story. You know what I'm saying, and nobody
- 13:18can tell it better than you. Nobody. And that one thing I'm not
- 13:22gonna lie on anybody. Each time he allows me to speak, it's more
- 13:28and more healing. Okay, So for nineteen years. It's a long time.
- 13:31So it's not just gonna disappear overnight, you know what I'm saying.
- 13:35So I'll be on a battlefield to the day God calls me home. When
- 13:39when when I stand before the Lord, I want to hear well done.
- 13:43I don't want to hear because I don't have so many other people to reject
- 13:46me. I don't want God to reject me. You understand I'm saying I
- 13:50want so much out of life the same way I used to hustle to get
- 13:52that dope. That's the same way I want life. I do not want
- 13:56to die and have never lived. You know what I'm You said something and
- 14:03I hope people are listening that you can explain. You can expect your deliverance
- 14:09to happen overnight. Yeah, you didn't get into what you've got into overnight,
- 14:16so you can't expect that to happen overnight. And for me, that
- 14:18was one of my problems. I was like, Okay, God delivered me.
- 14:22Okay, you know God, my heart is broken. Da da da
- 14:24da da. I'll never forget. A lady told me, she said the
- 14:28first step was to wipe your face. That was a lot to get out
- 14:33of me. Then you said something else before we even got online. That
- 14:35one stick with me. You say, don't let nobody bring your pass up
- 14:39to you. I always tell my kids this, your past is your past
- 14:45and only you can let it dictate your future. And you know what,
- 14:48because when people know about me, you have to God has to give you
- 14:54tough skin because some people can say some hurtant things. Some of the stuff
- 15:00I did, I did, and I ain't gonna tell me a lot I
- 15:01did. I did it, but I let people know you ain't read the
- 15:05whole book. You better stop playing with me. I hate, I despice
- 15:09anybody that talks at me instead of to me. Don't get it twisted.
- 15:13I'm saved, but I'm not soft. Please don't get it twisted. And
- 15:16I tell a lot of people that's because I'm quiet. See, I was
- 15:20a fighter when I was out there. I was writing. All the police
- 15:24officers knew me. That's the kind of you know, Felicia on Friday,
- 15:28she ain't have nothing on me? Wow, oh wow, I ask you
- 15:33can I borrow your riding lawnmower? And I was steal from you and selling
- 15:37your stuff back to people. Used to hate to hear me. You know
- 15:43how some people look at the block and say, oh, here come Mary.
- 15:46They would look at the block, said here come bloss and they put
- 15:48their whole house up and moved from me, crackhead. And I was a
- 15:52mean wow. You know what I'm saying. I started drinking at the age
- 15:56of five. My great grandmother was raised that if a child has wingworm,
- 16:00you give them beer. So some children fell in love with a horse on
- 16:07a merry go round or parade. My nickname was monkey. She said,
- 16:11monkey, gonna get your medicine. The girl was running. I don't know
- 16:12why them old people got them long go haul or baby, I'll be wide
- 16:17open. And it took both my little hands to open the refrigerator. And
- 16:21when I opened up the refrigerator, that was Coke forty five. You know
- 16:23that horse and Captain Morgan. We you know, oh we are thing because
- 16:29me and him had a good time when he was out there. But I
- 16:32tell people, a lot of people say, how can you talk about so
- 16:36freely? Because I'm free and God taught me how to forgive my abuser because
- 16:42I'm an teall you one thing hurt people, hurt people. The person did
- 16:48not grow up saying they wanted to molest a child, just like I didn't
- 16:52see I was an unfit mother. I was not like neb the Beaver's mama
- 16:56with an apron on and the vacuum because I done sold that, so I
- 16:59know I didn't have a genous that I'm saying. So I had to forgive
- 17:03myself for not being there for my sons. So and it took a minute
- 17:08for them to stop looking at me. Cock guide. So let me ask
- 17:11you a questions. So, forgiving yourself, how hard was that? Because
- 17:15I know that I'm even selling the process of doing that, forgiving myself,
- 17:21and somethings that can be easy. In some days it's like I don't even
- 17:23want to look in the mirror because it's like I cannot believe this craziness.
- 17:29So how hard is it? It's a process, because it's still the enemy
- 17:33still wants to bring stuff back. You know, he's an accuser of the
- 17:36brother. And you know what I'm saying. I remember hearing my baby calling
- 17:38me, oh, mama one time. Sometimes when I think about stuff like
- 17:44oh, he'll throw it back. But we have to remind ourselves God has
- 17:47forgiven us for that, you know what I'm saying. We don't if God,
- 17:51if God forgave us, who are we to not forgive ourself? See
- 17:57what I'm saying. But we trying to bring it back up? He said.
- 18:02And I'm paraphrase and everything because I don't nobody say o if she changing
- 18:04the words in the Bible. But he's saying, if I forgot about it,
- 18:07what you're still talking about it? You understand me, So keep that,
- 18:12you keep that. You know what I'm saying. God, when he
- 18:15forgive us, he throws it in the lake of forgetfulness. He don't know
- 18:18what we're talking about. He don't wipe this out. What is she talking
- 18:22about? And that's the enemy wants to make us continue. That's what kept
- 18:26me out there because I didn't know how to forgive myself. I always,
- 18:30and I tell everybody, if I see somebody walking with their head down,
- 18:33pick your head up, because there's nothing down there, and there's nothing behind
- 18:37you. It's all in front of you. You understand me. And we
- 18:40all got a bridge. My bridge might not be yours and yours might not
- 18:44be mine, but we all got a bridge. Comes from up under that
- 18:47bridge. Walk over that bridge to your destiny. The enemy doesn't. The
- 18:51enemy despises connection. He despises it. So that's why he keeps conflict going
- 18:56on, like with us queens at times. See, that's nothing wrong with
- 19:00me telling you you're a beautiful person, because I ain't gonna take nothing from
- 19:03me. So you got to know who you are and who you belong to
- 19:07my name blossomed, and I belonged to him. Am I perfect, No
- 19:11when I get out of line. You know how the old people used to
- 19:12get the mottle switches and check you on them five to get you. That's
- 19:17what he do. He has the chest tis of bastard. You understand me.
- 19:21So, like I said, y'all, we got the I see you
- 19:22to pick your mouth up there just flapping and just clapping this. It's crazy
- 19:33because you're saying that we queens. So I went to event today at my
- 19:37daughter school and it was called Black Girl Magic, Black Boy Joy. Okay,
- 19:41all the kids were together and first that we were talking about our careers
- 19:45African Americans and in the careers, and then they separated the groups, the
- 19:53boys and the girls. I was like, okay, what we're doing.
- 19:59She started leaning and this's white, which is one of the teachers at school.
- 20:03She was like, little girls, we do not have to put each
- 20:06other's down. We are all and she just started spitting it out and we
- 20:11and the pearents are like, yes, please tell them that again. And
- 20:14the crazy thing about it is my daughter and her little friend just had it
- 20:18fallen out right before I got to the school. Wow lo and behold,
- 20:22they're sitting down there and they're listening to this. And I turned away to
- 20:26turn back to see them hugging each other saying they're sorry. She So if
- 20:32the kids can do this and uplift each other, we should be able.
- 20:36And that's why I love the crew that I am with. I love the
- 20:38crew. I love the fact that we all look out for each other,
- 20:44like, well, tree, she can I catch you? Was growing up
- 20:49it took a village to raise us because back then all the villages because the
- 20:55big mamas are in the clubs. Now they're not showing about how to cut
- 20:59no collar green or do a turkey or do a stuffing. They in the
- 21:02clubs. You know, we're trying to get okay, trying to get They
- 21:07When I was coming up, the next door neighbor beat you to the next
- 21:11door neighbor beaches and Mama beat you like how many beans I'm gonna get?
- 21:15And we could not talk about if Miss Sarah alied on you. You better
- 21:19not call Miss Sarah alive. You whole whole head that snatched off. Take
- 21:29my eyes out my head and make me look at myself what you did?
- 21:33Who did what I don't want to listen. When I went to the penitentiary,
- 21:37it wasn't hard for me to say yes, ma'am and no, ma'am,
- 21:40because it started at home. My great grandmother and my mother did not
- 21:45play the radio. You come in the room and not open your mouth,
- 21:49or company come over and you sitting there looking in their mouth whole foot that
- 21:55hits you in the face. You don't know what happened. But now these
- 21:59kids tell you that ain't where I heard it. You got it all wrong.
- 22:03Or you see them mother, and though they dressed alike with that's why
- 22:07we got so much. Now, I don't get you wrong. Yeah,
- 22:08I did a lot of things out there, but I was taught at home
- 22:11though, you know what I'm saying. So I got out there, and
- 22:15I had to get out there because if I want to smoke, I had
- 22:18to get out there and get it like draft, you know, because in
- 22:19the beginning they give you the stuff, but then later on you gonta do
- 22:23do what you gotta do. And I did everything that but slept with the
- 22:26animal, and that was just to Yet, how can I talk so freely?
- 22:30Because each time I speak that it's more and more deliverance I had to
- 22:37deal with this for the rest of my life. But I don't have to
- 22:40smoke the rest of my life, you know. And even though I have
- 22:44a clean time nineteen years June the fourth, I have twenty years clean.
- 22:49I live in Alabama, and so I moved to Alabama from North Miami.
- 22:55Okay, So when I moved to Alabama, I was now I had the
- 23:02woman to call me. We got a divorce doing the love and they say
- 23:04love you because he loved talking to other women and brought another woman in my
- 23:07home. See. I was the kind of crackhead that got the bird dead,
- 23:11Let's go get high. That's the kind of person. I didn't need
- 23:14a reason. But when that woman called me and told me she had been
- 23:17in my home, I had to really call out to the Lord, to
- 23:19cry to the Lord, because I had the most seasoned Saints sister flip floppers,
- 23:23knock knock, telling me to stay with that man. Well, if
- 23:26you dealt with Bubba doing that for the years, I don't have to do
- 23:30with that. I dealt with it back then because I was on dope.
- 23:33I thought I couldn't do no better. You know, That's why you got
- 23:37to love yourself when I was coming up. We was at a house party
- 23:41and my cousin he's dead and God and I had a bag, had the
- 23:45bowl. Try to be a host. It broken up, tailor chips.
- 23:48He said, send out somewhere, baby Bubba lift. I cried, Oh,
- 23:52I cried. I wanted the lip operation at the age of eleven.
- 23:55But look at these women out, women going to get their lips blowed up.
- 23:56All I gotta do is line lip and roll. Girl, you better.
- 24:03I used to have dress down to my thighs because they represented my clean
- 24:07time. Now I'm dealing with a girl called alopecia. Baby me and Alopecia,
- 24:11we rock on. You got to love it. I'm not saying be
- 24:15conceited or high minded, but you've got to look in the mirror and be
- 24:18able to say, good, I love you. You look God my favorite
- 24:22song. I love me better than that? Oh my, that's my song.
- 24:26You got to And I tell everybody when I get that good girl on,
- 24:30y'all better, y'all better look out menas no Jesus. You know,
- 24:38each time he allows me to tell my story. You know, I love
- 24:42to laugh because I was I was a class clown. And I tell people.
- 24:48They My teachers used to always say, Blossom, sit down. You're
- 24:51talking too much, but your gifts will make room for you, but your
- 24:55character would keep you in the room. See, people don't realize that you
- 24:59caught that your character will keep you in the room. Are they happy to
- 25:03see you leave or happy to see you coming? You understand me. I've
- 25:07been on both sides. I've been on both sides. So, like I
- 25:11said, you love the Lord, love yourself, and help who you can.
- 25:17Stop. We have to stop putting people before what's good for us.
- 25:22Because everybody's not gonna pat you on the back and say you're doing a good
- 25:26job. You better encourage yourself. You understand me. Before I go on
- 25:30shows, I always say, Lord, let me decrease so that you can
- 25:33increase. People gonna pick up stuff and throw it back out there. Girl
- 25:37she said she used to live with women. Yeah, I had one lady
- 25:41to do that one time, and I looked at her face and I had
- 25:44to get my mind together because I wanted to say some twists where that wasn't
- 25:48choice. You understand me, But I made this statement. If you if
- 25:52you ever had a man he went and cheated with somebody else, and came
- 25:55back home to you. That's a threesome. It don't get it twisted,
- 25:59you know what I'm saying. So, and I put all this in the
- 26:00book to let people know. If I put out there on page forty three,
- 26:06I don't care what you say I think about me because it's deliverance.
- 26:10Don't make me put my hat a point to tail and make it bang.
- 26:11I already told you, don't make God. I would put it in the
- 26:15y'all used to hate listen. I got so depressed one time I set the
- 26:22house on fire with me in it. So I tell you, do you
- 26:23think I care about setting the fire with you? God changed me, not
- 26:29no man, not no woman. I got tired of being beat up by
- 26:33men, by women myself, and I was always fighting like that. But
- 26:37you know what, in reality, I was fighting myself. I was fighting
- 26:41myself. So with God best me to I went from treatment and treatment,
- 26:47prison, jail, rehab, mental hospitality. That with mental illness as well.
- 26:52And y'all, mental illness is real. We got to stop making it
- 26:55seem like it don't exist. Deal with it because you know, back in
- 26:57our days, if we had an auntie that said that the Thanksgiving to the
- 27:00dinner table, hollering they were put in the back room and go back to
- 27:04eating, pushing it up under the rug. You know what I'm saying.
- 27:08So I've been in mental hospitals, been on medication. In Florida, if
- 27:14you have an addiction, they give you a check. So when I found
- 27:17that you can get a check. No, baby, I went in my
- 27:22girlfriend. When she told me about it, I said, girl, how
- 27:25you get a check? She said, bustom gotta act like you're crazy.
- 27:27I said no, they might lock me upway forever. So but baby,
- 27:30I went through it. I had to go cause I didn't tell lies.
- 27:36I hummed them. You know what I'm saying, that's the kind of person
- 27:40I was. But when they gave me that money, they gave me back
- 27:44paced seven, seven hundred and six nineteen cent. Girl, I got scared.
- 27:48I thought it was gonna find me somewhere there. When we smoked,
- 27:51we had so much a smoke coming out of the hotels, they thought we
- 27:53was Indians in there. That's just how much of smoke was going on.
- 27:57I didn't play with it. For me to be sitting here tonight in my
- 28:00right mind, don't have a bill or a diaper on, piking flowers,
- 28:06can't nobody see but me, and scratching the ears. That's not itching,
- 28:10it's by the grace of God, because I was smoking five to six hundred
- 28:12dollars a day or more. I smoked, though, but the God that
- 28:17I served when I was in the crack house, because I had joined the
- 28:22church and then I backslid. So when you cut backslide, it's seven times
- 28:26worse. So I was sitting there in the crack house and I still have
- 28:30the shirt, the shoes in the purse that I had on that night when
- 28:34he called out the crack house and I started. I was in the room
- 28:38with everybody, but then I wanted to get away. I knew it was
- 28:41something happened. It was a totally different change coming. I had been up
- 28:47for about two weeks, still trying to get high, but I wasn't high.
- 28:51So I went into the kitchen and I had a piece of paper and
- 28:55pencil in my purse, and I started writing God a letter. And you
- 28:59know what people add, girl, You was writing God while you smoking crack.
- 29:02If he waited for the woman at the well, he knew where I
- 29:04was. Okay, okay, what people were talking about when I found Jesus.
- 29:10Jesus was never lost. I was the one that was in the doeboard.
- 29:15But no far we get his hand. It's long enough to reach us,
- 29:19you know what I'm saying. So I was sitting there smoking and writing,
- 29:25smoking and writing, and the girl came in to give another hit a
- 29:27crack and she said, I said, the next time you see me,
- 29:32I'll be clean and sober, and she laughed, since she was laughing at
- 29:34me, not with me. Okay. So I kept writing, smoking and
- 29:38I took that last hit. I had the benefit two because I was so
- 29:41tired. My eyelashes was tired, feet was hurting me, my mind was
- 29:45hurting me. I just wanted to be delivered. Too scared to live it,
- 29:48too scared to die. I was the kind of person I remember one
- 29:52time I tried to kill myself with a gun, but I made sure what
- 29:53now, bullet in there. That's the kind of person I was. When
- 29:56I had took a bottle of pills, I made sure they knew what kind
- 30:00of see. I was just talking about blossom. You understand me. That's
- 30:04why I don't want to die and have not lived. I want so much
- 30:07out of life I want to be able to leave my kids something, because
- 30:12the wise person leaves an inheritance for your inn ration. You know what I'm
- 30:18saying, Not just money, but I want to leave them wisdom as well.
- 30:22When people try to throw their mama pass up, yes she did that,
- 30:26but this is what she did with the rest of her life. There
- 30:30you do, So God blessed. I got up and walked down in the
- 30:33crack house, and I checked myself into the hole, into the mental hospital,
- 30:37and I beg, the people don't let me go until you find a
- 30:40place and that and God did God sit me in Miami. That's why I
- 30:44went to treat me because I want to raise by town in Daytona Beach.
- 30:48And I said, if I get down here in Miami and try to do
- 30:49the same thing I did back home, they're gonna kill me down here.
- 30:52So God blessed me got cleaned. So but I didn't go back to the
- 30:56people, places and things. That's where anything when you want to change,
- 30:59you can go back around. And I judged you, you know how something
- 31:03talking about you know, I smoke crack, but you did powder. Or
- 31:07you eat a pound cake and I eat lemon cake. It's the same thing.
- 31:11We all doing something. We ain't got no business though, you understand
- 31:14me. But let's work together to try to help one a lover. That's
- 31:18what it's about. So God blessing, got married, moved here, went
- 31:22through the divorce. But I didn't go back to getting high. Very first
- 31:26time buying a home, lost at the foreclosure. But I didn't go back
- 31:29to getting high. Brand new car repot, but I didn't go back to
- 31:32getting high. So God blessing them. Then the book started opening, God
- 31:34blessing me. I was on Past the Cliffe a Dollar show and we was
- 31:37like, he said, Blossom, if you're not a comedian, you should
- 31:41be, that's a millionaire. You understand me, to throw his shoe and
- 31:45sold them back to them. But God, so God blessed being five projects
- 31:49with TVN I've had my own TV show, my own radio show. All
- 31:52this is because of the grace of God. I worked for the University of
- 31:56Alabama. Let me tell you when God I opened that door for me.
- 32:00I went to school in Miami and got my diplomba down there. I worked
- 32:04on so many jobs with that diploma, state jobs, government. So when
- 32:08the University of Alabama, I'm talking about the God we served. Yes,
- 32:13when they did my background check, that's when they found out that the diplomba
- 32:17was a fraud. But the God we served in twenty twenty, they said,
- 32:22y'all can hire her. But she got a year to get her diplomba.
- 32:24Who do stuff like that. But the God we served, though,
- 32:28he'll show your favor. So I got my diplomba in ninety days. So
- 32:32I have an Isaac and I have an Ishma. You know, understanding I
- 32:36mean. So then when they did my background check, my supervisor she said,
- 32:38Blossom. I said, yeah, she said, your background check came
- 32:42back. I know what's on the background check because I did it. She's
- 32:45say, it came back eight pages. You think they made a mistake.
- 32:50No, ma'am, everything to the period, to the side in the paper,
- 32:55top of the paper. I did it, you know, like I
- 33:00said. You know, then God bless it started. I went before habitat
- 33:05because if we don't have a safe place, we'll go back to the people,
- 33:08places and things. So habitat and I was asking them, they built
- 33:13me a home for women that want to stay clean and sober. But the
- 33:15God we serve, because I'm a nonprofit organization from under Bridge safe Haven Home
- 33:21for women. So the God that we served when I got my status,
- 33:24she said Blossom, I met with the board. I met with the board.
- 33:29We can't build a house, but we're gonna give you a piece of
- 33:31land that we're never gonna use. So I have my land, I have
- 33:36my blueprints, I have my build of permit. I have been approved by
- 33:38God in the city. We get the house six six women, says three
- 33:42women. So the first house will be called from Underbridged Safe Haven Home for
- 33:45women. They stay eight months to a year. My second home will be
- 33:51called Tiers from Underbridge because I cried many tears up under that bridge, and
- 33:55that'll be for women and children. Like I said, I want to leave
- 34:00a legacy. So when I'm dead and gone, ten years after my death,
- 34:05what what kind of mark did we make here on the earth. We're
- 34:12going to heaven. You know the Lord, you're the professor that he's the
- 34:15Lord of the Lord. But what did you leave here on this earth?
- 34:20I don't want to leave fifty eight nine nine thirty one. That's my prison
- 34:22number. I don't want to leave that. So like the like the Man
- 34:25of God told me last week, you say, you slept in a dynasty,
- 34:29but God's preparing you to leave a dynasty. And that's what I want
- 34:32to do for my generation. I want to last year, this time in
- 34:37my hometown, the park that everybody used to get high end and this guy
- 34:42got killed out that they cleaned it up. So Mary bethrew McCloud's first little
- 34:46house that she started her college in. They bought me put inside the park.
- 34:51But we also have Miss Mary Harold Black Historial Museum. So this time
- 34:59last your five other women and myself were put into that museum. So when
- 35:04my kids, when my grandkids, and my great man and my great man,
- 35:07when they go through that museum, they gonna see their grandmama sitting up
- 35:10on the wall. Not no prison number, but they gonna see me up
- 35:15there with my book. But it's the same town that spin on me and
- 35:17kicked me and said that would amount to nothing. So that's why we can't
- 35:22worry about what people say. Who would have thought that I'd have been sitting
- 35:25on the wall in the same hometown. And then God bless it, November,
- 35:32my documentary came out from under a bridge, and I just found out
- 35:37yesterday that I've been nominated for Best Documentary in June, so please keep me
- 35:45in prayer. I'm so excited, you know. But I'm the one that
- 35:52came from up under the bridge. You understand me. I'm the crackhead.
- 35:54I'm the you know this, the man could say whatever, it's what God
- 35:59said said say so in June God's will, I'll be going to Virginia.
- 36:06And like I said, when when the director, because she's won many awards
- 36:12and I'm still you know, she's telling me and I'm still floating. I'm
- 36:16like, we got picked. But so baby, you know I'm gonna have
- 36:21that tight girl on so when they do call from under the bridge, I'll
- 36:24be able to go up there. Baby, I almost stress. See I
- 36:31get mine from Len Bryants, where you get yours from. But i'ma I'm
- 36:35gonna check out Lin now. I'm gonna check out her because I don't want
- 36:37nothing to hanging. I want her to be nice and tight. But I
- 36:39walk up there because think about it, I smoked dogs, I've been to
- 36:45prison. Yeah, God bless it. My life story is on the screen,
- 36:49nominated for Best Documentary and I'm a Meetnail and I tell everybody it's gonna
- 36:55be a movie. It's gonna be a I tell people, don't forget the
- 37:00ain't Blossomed because it's gonna it's gonna be real. It's real. You got
- 37:02to encourage yourself, not being cocky, but you gotta have to be your
- 37:08number one supporterer. You how Angela always tell us we have to show up
- 37:15for ourselves first. And if you showed up tonight, girl, I gotta
- 37:21be real with Blossom so that way I could be real with anybody else.
- 37:24And it's well. It is well. So like I said, my name
- 37:29is Blossom Rogers and if you want to reach out to me, my phone
- 37:31number is three oh five seventy five, three eight one sixty four. You
- 37:36can hit me up on Facebook, you can hit me up on Instagram.
- 37:38Blossom Rogers. I love to talk. If you need to speak and give
- 37:42me a call, I'll be right there with my girdle. But other than
- 37:45that, I've had a great time hanging out. Put you on this Friday
- 37:50night. You know you know you coming back. So we're gonna have her
- 37:53on mind show. You guys, may we say by four May fourth May
- 37:59four, So she's gonna be on my show again. You're I can't the
- 38:07energy that you have, the blessings that are on you. Man, if
- 38:15you can only it's it's this this season, everybody I've had on this show,
- 38:22my show so far has just given me confirmations like Okay, Terrace,
- 38:27look you thank God got you. I'm gonna show you and this person what
- 38:31I'm supposed to tell you. I'm gonna show you in this person says you
- 38:34don't want to listen to me, Terce, I'm gonna get these other people
- 38:37to come on your show and you're gonna listen to them, and you're gonna
- 38:39walk away every show with a piece of nugget. And I appreciate the nuggets
- 38:43you have given me. Hey man, by the grace of God, I
- 38:46a God. I got a shout out to my family and the young lady
- 38:52her name is Amanda, and she she told me some stuff a while back
- 38:57and it started to come and like I said, you know, it's just
- 38:59true a blessing where people could speak positive stuff into your life. You know
- 39:04what I'm saying. But I ask that God show you favor for hanging out
- 39:08with me and just and just just trusting and loving me for who I am.
- 39:14You know what I'm saying, I ask God to show you favor because
- 39:16everybody's going through something and I ask that God just in larger territory and we'll
- 39:22be seeing each other made a for when we're gonna have some fun to get
- 39:28I've been to have my girl about the end, so yeah, I might
- 39:30have to go get me and I think it might be having a whole episode
- 39:36with that one. But you know, but thank you for coming on you
- 39:40guys. We want to thank you for being with us tonight. Y'all go
- 39:46repleat this one. There were so many different nuggets in this show. Catch
- 39:51the replay, go back and listen to it again. Motivate yourself, show
- 39:55up for yourself, because if you show up, God is already there.
- 40:00He is waiting for us to do it. Amen is waiting for us to
- 40:04do it. See God move me for you terce girl Eatoian. I think
- 40:08so, I truly think so. Amen, bless her, Thank you,
- 40:15thank you, thank you in his grace and his mercy. Oh and you
- 40:22know what, let me tell y'all something. I actually had a slide show
- 40:24me tonight like I was gonna talk about children's literacy, and when she popped
- 40:30on, I was like Okay, okay, how are we gonna do this?
- 40:31How are we gonna do this? I got nervous, and then I
- 40:34was like nervous, what teres? Why? And you just came in and
- 40:38just you know, like yo, because you know that's what it's called supporting
- 40:45one another. It's a village. This was a village to like a village.
- 40:51And I'm just talking to people like where are the villages? I'm looking
- 40:54for the villages. I want to be in the villages because I remember when
- 40:58I grew up it was a village and it was so much love. So
- 41:04plas you part of my village? Can I come in yours? Come on,
- 41:07baby, but you cut up. I got a switch for you.
- 41:10Okay, cut up, and I got a switch for you. I'm looking
- 41:15gonna pull your own, and it better come back right. You know how
- 41:17the old people say, go out there, get your switched, and if
- 41:20you come back with the small one, you go back. And then you
- 41:24still running out to switch because they don't win to pull it from the ground.
- 41:29I remember, and and they give me the opportunity to take twigs off.
- 41:31But if they got to get it, you got the twigs on it.
- 41:34Don't let them plan it up. Oh my lord, thank you guys
- 41:43for being here tonight. Tomorrow I will be on again at eight o'clock.
