- 1:18Speaker 3: Uh, you guys are quick. You guys are funny. Good morning, everybody,
- 1:23Speaker 3: Happy Friday. Basically, the weekend started a lot of people.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Everybody driving to work today. It's Friday.
- 1:32Speaker 5: I'll tell you who the weekend started for already. Starbucks.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:38Speaker 5: Oh, when you were about to say how you do it?
- 1:40Speaker 5: I was about to say irritated.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Oh no, you didn't get you didn't get a coffee
- 1:45Speaker 3: this morning?
- 1:46Speaker 5: Well, let me tell you.
- 1:48Speaker 4: I placed the order on the Starbucks app for the
- 1:51Speaker 4: one downtown because it's close, right, Okay, I do this
- 1:55Speaker 4: regularly were I'll place the order on the app and
- 1:58Speaker 4: then I just go pick it up. Because it's fast
- 2:00Speaker 4: way and you get points and then eventually you get
- 2:02Speaker 4: free coffee.
- 2:03Speaker 5: So I place my order. I'd go there. Tell me
- 2:07Speaker 5: why they were closed. Ah, this isn't the first time
- 2:10Speaker 5: this has happened to me.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Okay, and you've already paid for it.
- 2:13Speaker 5: I already paid for it.
- 2:14Speaker 4: But there's a kid in there, and I'm like, well,
- 2:18Speaker 4: was he just like waiting for a second to open it?
- 2:20Speaker 4: So then he sees me and he comes out and
- 2:23Speaker 4: I was like, or he goes, we're closed because our
- 2:26Speaker 4: shift lead isn't here, And I was like, your shift lead,
- 2:31Speaker 4: maybe fire them.
- 2:33Speaker 5: You're the lead and you're not at your job.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Yeah, next man up?
- 2:37Speaker 5: What you want to say? Something so bad?
- 2:40Speaker 2: Why do you need a shift lead there right to
- 2:42Speaker 2: make someone's call that I ordered online?
- 2:44Speaker 5: You don't even have to take money from me. You
- 2:45Speaker 5: already took my money.
- 2:46Speaker 4: Just make my co just I get a black coffee,
- 2:48Speaker 4: Just pour the black coffee in there and then so if.
- 2:52Speaker 2: You know how to do it, why does it matter
- 2:54Speaker 2: who's there.
- 2:55Speaker 4: So I'm like, already paid for it, like I ordered
- 2:57Speaker 4: it on the app, and he was just like.
- 3:00Speaker 5: I was like, well, he was like, you guys, you
- 3:03Speaker 5: have to call Starbucks corporate.
- 3:06Speaker 2: M Starbucks corporate.
- 3:08Speaker 3: Some companies were led by individuals who didn't play any sports,
- 3:15Speaker 3: and it shows.
- 3:16Speaker 5: Yeah, Jordan's what's his last name?
- 3:18Speaker 2: Why can't Starbucks Jordan Schultz Schultz, he's the owner.
- 3:24Speaker 5: Of his dumb dad is.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Yeah, well they didn't. They didn't play sports at all.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Next man up right, Okay, sometimes your leaders are out.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Not there. You're the shift lead, now.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Yeah, we do exactly. You are the shift lead. Go
- 3:42Speaker 3: brew coffee and put it in a cup and give
- 3:46Speaker 3: it to this person that paid for it already.
- 3:47Speaker 5: I literally paid for it.
- 3:49Speaker 3: I've done that before at a Starbucks.
- 3:51Speaker 5: I was so mad.
- 3:52Speaker 3: It was my local Starbucks and I did the same
- 3:56Speaker 3: thing and I got I got a coffee and a sandwich.
- 3:58Speaker 3: So this was like a double digital. Yeah, this is
- 4:00Speaker 3: a double digit. I don't know why you went complicated.
- 4:04Speaker 3: I think I gotta get a sandwich over now, and
- 4:06Speaker 3: especially when you leave the house early. But I'd left
- 4:08Speaker 3: the house set, like in the five o'clock hour, thinking
- 4:10Speaker 3: the coffee shops open at five, and I think they
- 4:12Speaker 3: usually do. Yeah, well, this one, the Starbucks was not open.
- 4:18Speaker 5: This ale years, but it still it still hurts in
- 4:20Speaker 5: such a good mood.
- 4:22Speaker 4: I was like, it's Friday going in New York tomorrow. Yeah,
- 4:29Speaker 4: Champagne Shenanigans is going to make a one time only return.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 4:33Speaker 5: I was hyped up.
- 4:35Speaker 4: And then I get to Starbucks and that kid, to
- 4:38Speaker 4: no fault of his own, ruined by morning.
- 4:41Speaker 3: It was it was he's not born a leader.
- 4:43Speaker 2: I mean it was his fault. He could have made
- 4:44Speaker 2: the coffee if he really wanted to.
- 4:47Speaker 5: He could have.
- 4:47Speaker 4: But I do blame it on the shift lead because
- 4:50Speaker 4: you are the lead, and.
- 4:51Speaker 5: Why are you not at your job? Fire them, get
- 4:55Speaker 5: him out of here. Starbucks Downtown later nerds lead.
- 4:59Speaker 3: Sorry, they might have had a like a dream like
- 5:03Speaker 3: I did again last night. It's happened again this morning.
- 5:07Speaker 3: I was running from an alarm, running down the street
- 5:09Speaker 3: of the downtown city, running from an alarm.
- 5:12Speaker 5: Yeah, you're like, are you just like.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Breaking into buildings in your sleep?
- 5:16Speaker 3: Now? I was running, This is alarm is coming to
- 5:19Speaker 3: get me. Oh the alarms come up? I thought you
- 5:21Speaker 3: were you had broke in alarm set? No, I didn't
- 5:23Speaker 3: set an alarm. I'm not no being ease for me,
- 5:28Speaker 3: and uh yeah that's what I was. The alarm was
- 5:30Speaker 3: part of my dream. That's a scary situation because you're
- 5:32Speaker 3: not waking up. It's a part of you. At that point.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Then you gotta yell at yourself. You're telling yourself, make
- 5:38Speaker 3: you gotta wake up, you gotta wake up. You gotta
- 5:40Speaker 3: stop running, right, you gotta stop runn You gotta face it.
- 5:42Speaker 5: And that's the worst feeling.
- 5:43Speaker 3: That's the worst feeling. So I woke up about twenty
- 5:45Speaker 3: minutes late today, so I didn't get as much prep work. So,
- 5:49Speaker 3: believe it or not, we've actually I've actually came early
- 5:52Speaker 3: this week and have been prepping for these shows. Well,
- 5:54Speaker 3: there's a little bit less this today, so get ready.
- 5:58Speaker 5: It's okay, we're gonna have a great time. M Tripod's lit.
- 6:03Speaker 4: I'm gonna I'm gonna brush off the Starbucks situation.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Well you need to, so do you not? You don't
- 6:08Speaker 3: have any coffee?
- 6:08Speaker 5: You No?
- 6:10Speaker 2: I just door dashed them out some gourmet one's downstairs.
- 6:15Speaker 4: I can't do that downstairs coffee this ptally.
- 6:23Speaker 3: Jake just texted, I said the first person up to day,
- 6:27Speaker 3: and I don't know if he meant it feels up
- 6:28Speaker 3: like him interviewing or first present up like in measurements
- 6:33Speaker 3: or maybe the interview on the podium, mister Garrettnsmeyer, let's go,
- 6:37Speaker 3: let's go, let's go, g Nurse. It is crazy to
- 6:42Speaker 3: kind of think that, uh, after Monsor de Layne gets picked,
- 6:49Speaker 3: that nuts could potentially be the second l s U
- 6:53Speaker 3: player taken. I think it might be AJ Halsey, but
- 6:57Speaker 3: the rumors are that he has helped himself so much
- 7:00Speaker 3: at the Senior Bowl that and he is still highly
- 7:04Speaker 3: thought up enough that he might still be the second,
- 7:09Speaker 3: second or third LSU player taken off the board it
- 7:13Speaker 3: comes draft time.
- 7:14Speaker 2: I would love for that. If AJ Hawsey runs a
- 7:17Speaker 2: four or five, he's going to go in the side round. Yeah,
- 7:20Speaker 2: that's his thing, right, Like he's a thick dude, Like
- 7:23Speaker 2: he's a big bodied safety. If he could run into
- 7:25Speaker 2: four or fives, it's gonna be hard not to draft.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Yah.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Yeah, it's he's kind of the a. J. Halsey is
- 7:30Speaker 3: one of these guys of gms and teams. Let's not
- 7:35Speaker 3: overthink the position. Let's not overthink the measurables on this one. Like,
- 7:40Speaker 3: I get that there's some measurables and there's some things
- 7:42Speaker 3: that people can do athletically to just differentiate themselves from
- 7:48Speaker 3: other people, like they're just a little built, a little
- 7:49Speaker 3: bit different. AJ Halston is just a really good football player.
- 7:53Speaker 3: Turn on the tape and watch it. Let's not overthink
- 7:56Speaker 3: his what his broad jump is or how you know,
- 8:00Speaker 3: how flexible is back that you see him like rolling
- 8:03Speaker 3: backwards yesterday and putting their like feet behind their head
- 8:05Speaker 3: like trying to touch the ground, Like like, don't overthink
- 8:08Speaker 3: those dumb drills that they're doing. Flexibility. Just turn on
- 8:11Speaker 3: the tape. It's kind of like the linebacker from Texas Tech. Yeah, yeah,
- 8:17Speaker 3: that's another one. It just has like it has it
- 8:20Speaker 3: all written all over him that people are going to
- 8:22Speaker 3: overthink that pick. Yeah, he's got it, Like I can
- 8:26Speaker 3: foresee the future here. He's going to be like he's
- 8:28Speaker 3: going to drop to like the second round, and he's
- 8:30Speaker 3: going to be defensive Rookie of the Year and he's
- 8:33Speaker 3: going to have this incredible rookie season and he's going
- 8:35Speaker 3: to drop to like the second or third round just
- 8:37Speaker 3: because people want to overthink this thing. So AJ Halsey
- 8:41Speaker 3: has that feel to me. Just take him. He needs
- 8:43Speaker 3: to go in the second round. He's a second round player.
- 8:46Speaker 3: I think he makes an immediate impact, and not only
- 8:48Speaker 3: like at the safety position, but they are so like
- 8:52Speaker 3: you have fifty three people on a roster, there's only
- 8:54Speaker 3: so many players. It's not college where you can have
- 8:56Speaker 3: a dedicated first and second team defense, dedicated first and
- 8:59Speaker 3: second team offense. So you have all these dedicated special
- 9:01Speaker 3: teams guys. He's going to make an immediate impact on
- 9:04Speaker 3: special teams as well. And it's a it's kind of
- 9:07Speaker 3: a it's kind of the unsexy, like un unsung thing
- 9:10Speaker 3: in the NFL, but a lot of people make make clubs,
- 9:14Speaker 3: make teams because of their special team efforts. So, uh,
- 9:17Speaker 3: he's gonna make an immediate impact whatever team he goes to.
- 9:20Speaker 3: So don't overthink it. If he drops past the second round.
- 9:23Speaker 3: I don't care if he goes and runs at four
- 9:24Speaker 3: to six. If he drops past the second round, it's
- 9:27Speaker 3: a big mistake by anybody, and somebody's gonna get real
- 9:30Speaker 3: lucky in the third round to get him with their
- 9:32Speaker 3: third pick of the draft. So looking forward to see
- 9:35Speaker 3: how it plays out.
- 9:36Speaker 2: You were talking about the flexibility thing of them laying
- 9:38Speaker 2: on their back with their feet over their head. Now
- 9:40Speaker 2: I want you to think about how bad of a
- 9:42Speaker 2: position you're in on the football field. If you're actually
- 9:45Speaker 2: in that spot, you're completely out of the player.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Why do they do that?
- 9:48Speaker 2: I know what you're talking about. I saw a couple
- 9:49Speaker 2: of highlights of it yesterday. I'm like, if you're doing
- 9:52Speaker 2: that on the football field, you're a terrible player.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Why do they do that? It's so funny because they're
- 9:57Speaker 3: just making them do a bunch of like dumb things
- 10:00Speaker 3: their body.
- 10:00Speaker 2: It's made the kid's pe class stretch because you ran
- 10:04Speaker 2: out of things for him to do.
- 10:05Speaker 3: Yeah, it's what that looks like. Take this jump up
- 10:09Speaker 3: for me so many times? You jump up in ten minutes, right,
- 10:12Speaker 3: we'll be back. No cheating, no cheating, we'll be back.
- 10:15Speaker 3: We trust you, honor code. Uh yeah, they just kind
- 10:18Speaker 3: of make them do all this flexibility and I don't know,
- 10:20Speaker 3: I don't know what it really does besides just makes
- 10:25Speaker 3: you do things and they're like, oh, well, he can't
- 10:27Speaker 3: do that very well. He must be unflexible. He's got
- 10:31Speaker 3: an unflexible lower back, he's got inflexible hamstrings. I don't know,
- 10:34Speaker 3: I don't know what it does, but it's dumb, and.
- 10:39Speaker 2: You're drafting based on combine and measurables alone. We'll talk
- 10:43Speaker 2: about a guy a little bit later who requested a
- 10:45Speaker 2: trade yesterday, who was picked in the top five because
- 10:48Speaker 2: he's big and never produced on any level of football.
- 10:52Speaker 2: When you have an AJ Halsey, like you said, just
- 10:55Speaker 2: turn on the tape, Like he doesn't even need to
- 10:56Speaker 2: participate in the combine at this point.
- 10:59Speaker 3: No, he doesn't. But like what if a guy like
- 11:03Speaker 3: him does go out and run a four to four
- 11:05Speaker 3: Now you're talking maybe late first round or I don't know.
- 11:13Speaker 3: He is kind of an imosition to me though, like
- 11:14Speaker 3: you can't really hurt yourself and whatever you do, in
- 11:18Speaker 3: my opinion, once you got that run like a four eight,
- 11:20Speaker 3: four nine, but you can't really hurt yourself. You can
- 11:23Speaker 3: only help yourself. Maybe maybe it's that kind of that
- 11:26Speaker 3: that's the way I view it, at least from just
- 11:29Speaker 3: being a pure football player. But we will see. It
- 11:33Speaker 3: is interesting. I don't know if is Jake going. Has
- 11:36Speaker 3: he said anything about joining the show today. I'm just
- 11:39Speaker 3: gonna assume no, I don't know.
- 11:41Speaker 2: It was the one to ask yesterday, was it?
- 11:45Speaker 5: Yes? Really?
- 11:46Speaker 3: Yes? Take those mid segments that call me now obviously
- 11:52Speaker 3: we're chopping it up about sports in life and in politics.
- 11:56Speaker 4: We probably had some in the studio line, and I'm like,
- 11:59Speaker 4: I don't answer that because yes, like I told you,
- 12:03Speaker 4: I don't answer that because I'm always scared it is
- 12:04Speaker 4: going to be some idiot like yelling at me. I'm
- 12:09Speaker 4: not answering the studio the text.
- 12:13Speaker 2: He's like, Wow, y'all couldn't even bother to answer the phone.
- 12:15Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 12:16Speaker 5: When have you ever seen me like answer that?
- 12:19Speaker 3: We did it once this week. Yeah, that's true, the
- 12:22Speaker 3: first time I've seen it since I've been on the show.
- 12:24Speaker 5: I think, and I took a deep breath before I
- 12:27Speaker 5: did it.
- 12:27Speaker 3: How do you even get this the I don't know
- 12:29Speaker 3: studio number.
- 12:30Speaker 2: I mean, Jake knows it because it's cold, but I
- 12:33Speaker 2: don't know they memorized it from Game Day because we
- 12:38Speaker 2: use the studio from Game Day.
- 12:39Speaker 3: Maybe mm hmm. Hey, do y'all think.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Sir J.
- 12:48Speaker 3: Johnson's gonna listen to us? I think he's gonna give
- 12:51Speaker 3: somebody the green light today. I'm three and o.
- 12:53Speaker 2: First inning, first account home run.
- 12:57Speaker 3: It's gonna be a home run. The camera's gonna pandu him.
- 12:59Speaker 3: He's that's for you.
- 13:01Speaker 2: He's gonna just point to the camera and knows you're
- 13:03Speaker 2: locked in.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Yep. So if he does, if somebody gets to go
- 13:11Speaker 3: ahead on three and now it's a dinger this week,
- 13:14Speaker 3: you can basically give us the credit for it.
- 13:21Speaker 5: I mean we told him to give them the green light.
- 13:26Speaker 3: Okay, so Lander, we got the five check from you.
- 13:30Speaker 3: Awful because of no coffee. Horrible, I mean, completely understandable today.
- 13:35Speaker 3: How you doing?
- 13:36Speaker 2: Ah good? My uh o, TB stint on this Friday
- 13:40Speaker 2: will be cut of tad short, so we're gonna fail
- 13:43Speaker 2: out of here about nine thirty this morning we have
- 13:45Speaker 2: our twenty week anatomy scam. Right razor woman's about ten
- 13:54Speaker 2: fifteen and shout out to Cassie. I told her. I
- 13:56Speaker 2: was like, Kassie, you do not have to come in.
- 13:58Speaker 2: I can get there by a round and her in
- 14:01Speaker 2: moscowa like credit to them. They're like, no, no, you
- 14:03Speaker 2: go take care of it. So she's coming in. I
- 14:05Speaker 2: actually made her push it back thirty minutes. I was like,
- 14:07Speaker 2: I don't need you to come here at nine o'clock.
- 14:08Speaker 2: It's right down the road, so shut out to her.
- 14:11Speaker 2: She's gonna bail me out today.
- 14:12Speaker 3: But uh oh, looking forward to Cassie takes Yeah.
- 14:15Speaker 5: She has so many of them.
- 14:16Speaker 2: She's gonna years out now because the last thirty minutes.
- 14:19Speaker 3: That's her show. Blud Gee, shut up, Cassie. Stop talking.
- 14:24Speaker 5: She talks almost as much as Kane.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Every time Jake's out and I pass her and she's
- 14:29Speaker 3: at her desk, I'm like, hey, I need need a
- 14:30Speaker 3: co host tomorrow. Are you ready? I think she actually
- 14:32Speaker 3: gets nervous. Yeah, just a little bit.
- 14:34Speaker 2: When I say that, it's like you asking her. That
- 14:36Speaker 2: is like you interviewing Kim Milke.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Yes, it's exactly.
- 14:40Speaker 2: It's very sweat.
- 14:45Speaker 3: Speaking of Kim Olky. We will we will certainly recap
- 14:51Speaker 3: what was a fantastic game last night at the p
- 14:53Speaker 3: mat she versus Tennessee. I will certainly recap that it
- 14:58Speaker 3: was senior night. Let's see what else we got there.
- 15:01Speaker 3: We got champagne. Do you actually drink champagne?
- 15:04Speaker 5: Yeah? She brings a bottle champagne.
- 15:05Speaker 3: We drink.
- 15:06Speaker 4: Okay, I mean you don't have to, yeah, but I
- 15:09Speaker 4: probably will indulge. No, it's the whole hour.
- 15:13Speaker 3: I do have a hybrid rockstar workout today.
- 15:15Speaker 4: Well, so I asked her, I said, do you want
- 15:17Speaker 4: to do like high Rocks? Do you want to sign
- 15:19Speaker 4: up for high rocks. Can I interest you in that?
- 15:21Speaker 4: And she's like, I just don't think I have enough
- 15:22Speaker 4: rockstar in me.
- 15:25Speaker 5: And I was like, but you are. You're a hybrid
- 15:27Speaker 5: one at that.
- 15:28Speaker 3: I mean, not everybody's got it.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Yeah, go for it.
- 15:32Speaker 3: We got a great show, though. I got lots of
- 15:34Speaker 3: good too, a lot of sports, a lot of I mean,
- 15:36Speaker 3: if you're lucky, we'll get back into politics USA. We'll
- 15:42Speaker 3: see when we come back. We will talk about the
- 15:45Speaker 3: LSU women's basketball team right here, off the bench.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Off the bench we laugh.
- 15:52Speaker 3: At Taylor's laughing. Russell Pols Russell Pools dot com. If
- 15:56Speaker 3: you are in the market, if you are thinking about
- 16:00Speaker 3: maybe upgrading that backyard of yours, well, Russell Pools is
- 16:04Speaker 3: a place to go, the people to talk to. Chris
- 16:06Speaker 3: Anderson and the gang over there. They've been doing it
- 16:08Speaker 3: a long time, and so when you've been for a
- 16:10Speaker 3: long long time, if you've been thinking about pool, when
- 16:13Speaker 3: you think of a pool, you think of Russell Pools.
- 16:16Speaker 3: The best custom pool company around. They can take your
- 16:19Speaker 3: dream to an absolute reality. So, whether you're just looking
- 16:22Speaker 3: for a little little cocktail pool, a little dippy pool,
- 16:25Speaker 3: or maybe you want a big resort style pool. Maybe
- 16:27Speaker 3: you want a lazy river. Can I get a hot
- 16:30Speaker 3: time somebody? Whatever it is, they can absolutely. They can
- 16:33Speaker 3: draw it, they can engineer it, they can build it,
- 16:37Speaker 3: they can maintain it. Because they got two landscape architects
- 16:40Speaker 3: right there on staff. So you go to them and
- 16:41Speaker 3: you say, hey, I'm thinking about this pool. This is
- 16:44Speaker 3: kind of what I'm thinking. Can you help me draw this?

- 20:12Speaker 3: LSU Women's basketball Friend of the show Kim Ulkie, Well,
- 20:18Speaker 3: they won last night versus Tennessee in the PMAC, the
- 20:20Speaker 3: last game of the last home game of the season
- 20:23Speaker 3: Senior Night and LSU recognizing three seniors Amiya, Jordan, Fla j. Johnson,
- 20:30Speaker 3: and Izy Besselman last night. So and they get the victory.
- 20:33Speaker 3: Started out a little slow, third quarter started popping off
- 20:36Speaker 3: and then they win the game eighty nine to seventy three.
- 20:42Speaker 3: Las Full Wiley had eighteen points. Mikayla Williams twenty points,
- 20:45Speaker 3: ten rebounds, and she hit a little milestone last night.
- 20:48Speaker 3: It's Mikayla Williams fifteen hundred career points in her junior year,
- 20:53Speaker 3: seventeenth player in team history to do that. Pretty impressive what.
- 21:00Speaker 2: She's been a stud since the time she stepped foot
- 21:02Speaker 2: on campus. Like I don't mean Alandra. We've been high
- 21:05Speaker 2: on her for for quite a while, just because she's
- 21:08Speaker 2: one of those people, Matt that could just kind of
- 21:10Speaker 2: do everything on the basketball court. Like when you watch her,
- 21:14Speaker 2: not one part of her game stands out, but there's
- 21:17Speaker 2: really nothing she can't do.
- 21:21Speaker 3: Yeah, and that shows. Twenty points, ten rebounds last night
- 21:23Speaker 3: on on Senior Night and another another little ma Son
- 21:29Speaker 3: Kimmelki becomes the first coach in SEC history to win
- 21:33Speaker 3: twenty five plus games in each of her first five
- 21:36Speaker 3: seasons with a team pretty decent. Can can you all
- 21:41Speaker 3: remind me how LSU women's basketball was right before b
- 21:46Speaker 3: kim Olki got here.
- 21:46Speaker 2: It was a lot like the mess.
- 21:47Speaker 4: Team now, yes, but maybe worse.
- 21:51Speaker 3: Are you serious? I know it's bad.
- 21:52Speaker 5: It was bad. I tell people all the time.
- 21:55Speaker 4: Y'all don't know the trenches that I went through when
- 21:57Speaker 4: I used to produce LSU women's basketball. When Nicky Fargas
- 22:01Speaker 4: was the coach, nobody cared. You could hear a pin
- 22:03Speaker 4: drop in the p mac. They weren't good.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Matt you've ever seen Major League when he's the guy
- 22:12Speaker 2: Harry Doyle on the broadcast is trying to make it
- 22:14Speaker 2: sound like there's crowd and they're like, Hi, way to go.
- 22:17Speaker 2: That was Patrick cryed for like three years.
- 22:19Speaker 3: Yeah, it was bad. I like it. I like it. Well,
- 22:24Speaker 3: good for them? Uh, what a great what a great win,
- 22:28Speaker 3: What a great accomplishment for of course, twenty five plus
- 22:31Speaker 3: wins and her first five seasons. Certainly Mikayla Williams with
- 22:36Speaker 3: what she's done, but the whole team playing awesome, and
- 22:39Speaker 3: what a great way to send out three seniors as well.
- 22:42Speaker 3: On a senior night you always want to I was
- 22:44Speaker 3: not fortunate enough to win the game my senior day.
- 22:49Speaker 5: Dang that sucks.
- 22:50Speaker 3: I know, beat took him, took him three year.
- 22:55Speaker 2: You came out on the top of the end of
- 22:57Speaker 2: the year.
- 22:57Speaker 3: We did.
- 22:57Speaker 2: It's all the batter we did.
- 22:59Speaker 3: That senior night we didn't. And then I did read
- 23:04Speaker 3: the story of pretty emotional senior night, especially for one
- 23:11Speaker 3: of the one of the seniors, Izzy Besselman, who last
- 23:15Speaker 3: year got diagnosed with a with dysautonomia, which is a
- 23:20Speaker 3: nervous system disorder that causes that normally high heart rates,
- 23:24Speaker 3: high heart rates, excuse me. So she has been sidelined
- 23:27Speaker 3: since that, and I think it's a former Uh, it's
- 23:31Speaker 3: a batonyge girl went to Episcopal High School, walked on
- 23:33Speaker 3: de lsu. But great story and multi finds the way
- 23:38Speaker 3: we're put in a position of course from the with
- 23:39Speaker 3: the score and everything, but finds a way gets her
- 23:41Speaker 3: in that last minute, so she gets back, gets back
- 23:44Speaker 3: in her game, ends her career with this with this condition,
- 23:48Speaker 3: and that affects one out of I read one out
- 23:50Speaker 3: of seventy million people have this have this condition, which
- 23:53Speaker 3: she was diagnosed with last year. High heart rates. Obviously
- 23:56Speaker 3: she deals you know that can't play basketball. He can't, couldn't,
- 24:00Speaker 3: couldn't do that at a high level. So it's, uh,
- 24:04Speaker 3: what a great what a great thing for Kim Molky
- 24:06Speaker 3: to do to honor her and be able to get in.
- 24:08Speaker 3: So a really good, feel good story coming out of
- 24:10Speaker 3: the game yesterday. But congratulations absolutely to the women's basketball team.
- 24:15Speaker 3: They will finish the regular season Sunday at Mississippi State.
- 24:20Speaker 3: Get ready for and I think yesterday that would clinch
- 24:23Speaker 3: the double by the double bye. And can you explain
- 24:25Speaker 3: with the double by means.
- 24:26Speaker 2: So the top four teams, think about like the college
- 24:29Speaker 2: football playoff, the top four teams get a bye. The
- 24:32Speaker 2: top four teams in the SEC tournament get a double buy.
- 24:35Speaker 2: So basically you're automatically in the quarterfinals. Two wins get
- 24:38Speaker 2: you there. And I mean that's big on tournament seeding
- 24:42Speaker 2: as well. So I mean, at this point, if LOSH
- 24:43Speaker 2: you can go in there, get a'll win in the tournament,
- 24:47Speaker 2: they get to the semifinals, like you're looking at it,
- 24:50Speaker 2: top four to five seeded team.
- 24:52Speaker 3: So that's my question. So LSU women number six in
- 24:55Speaker 3: the country, I know the seeding when you get to
- 24:58Speaker 3: the Big Dance when you get to the show doesn't
- 25:00Speaker 3: really go by rankings, right, So like if I'm looking
- 25:03Speaker 3: at it, they're number six, there's going to be four
- 25:05Speaker 3: number one seeds. There's going to be four number like
- 25:07Speaker 3: they should be a number two seed. But like, I'm
- 25:09Speaker 3: also a fool when it comes to this stuff. So
- 25:11Speaker 3: how does the like, is there any formulation formula that
- 25:15Speaker 3: they use?
- 25:15Speaker 2: I mean, you heard in basketball all the time, you
- 25:18Speaker 2: got Ken Palm rankings, you have all this. They look
- 25:20Speaker 2: at one wins, which is like top fifty. The rankings.
- 25:25Speaker 3: The rankings don't look at that.
- 25:27Speaker 2: I mean no, not really, because rankings are just like
- 25:30Speaker 2: they're like how good you? Yeah, right, like football rankings, yes,
- 25:35Speaker 2: not necessarily your strength of schedule. They look at all
- 25:38Speaker 2: of that.
- 25:39Speaker 3: So I mean.
- 25:39Speaker 4: It's you know how we complain all the time about
- 25:42Speaker 4: the college football playoff not having like a numerical system
- 25:46Speaker 4: that they.
- 25:46Speaker 2: Go, right, that's yeah, but like that's the difference.
- 25:50Speaker 4: Like the rankings are like ap voter stuff, and then
- 25:54Speaker 4: the kin palm has like actual metrics to it.
- 25:57Speaker 3: Right, But like if football at least are close, like
- 26:02Speaker 3: we can argue over eleven through thirty, yeah he should
- 26:04Speaker 3: be eleven instead of thirteen, Like you can argue that,
- 26:08Speaker 3: but I feel like, sometimes, what was LSU see that
- 26:11Speaker 3: last year women's basketball team believe it was three or four, right,
- 26:15Speaker 3: and they were top ten team like that math didn't
- 26:18Speaker 3: really add up to me. Three of the year they
- 26:20Speaker 3: won it too, So I guess, like so I would
- 26:23Speaker 3: think that the Rakings that the ap Uses if they
- 26:26Speaker 3: you know, educated themselves on the quad one stuff two.
- 26:31Speaker 3: I don't really know what that means. But I'm not trying.
- 26:34Speaker 3: I'm not voting. I'm not voting anyway. Congratulations most women's
- 26:39Speaker 3: basketball team. They keep crushing and what a uh, what
- 26:45Speaker 3: a embarrassment of riches we have as LSU fans. And
- 26:49Speaker 3: like we said, five years, she's has twenty five plus
- 26:52Speaker 3: victories in each of her first five seasons. Since she
- 26:55Speaker 3: has kind of become the head basketball coach for your
- 26:58Speaker 3: Lady Tigers and the first person in SEC history to
- 27:01Speaker 3: do that. And to think how immediately she changed it
- 27:05Speaker 3: from where it was to where it is, it's fantastic.
- 27:08Speaker 3: So that's why we love her, that's why she's awesome,
- 27:11Speaker 3: and that's why she's the god.
- 27:13Speaker 2: I just checked the season before Kim Molki got there.
- 27:15Speaker 2: The women's basketball team won nine games. Okay, they were
- 27:19Speaker 2: nine and thirteen overall nine his first Molgi's first year
- 27:23Speaker 2: twenty six and six, then thirty four and two and
- 27:26Speaker 2: won the national championship.
- 27:27Speaker 3: So nine and thirteen.
- 27:29Speaker 2: That m's been like SEC play though, No, they were
- 27:32Speaker 2: that was that was an overall Their conference tracker was
- 27:34Speaker 2: six and eight. That was twenty twenty and twenty twenty one,
- 27:36Speaker 2: so it was COVID shortaned.
- 27:38Speaker 3: Okay, that makes sense. So yeah, I read that too,
- 27:44Speaker 3: and they got me fact checking myself. I was like
- 27:46Speaker 3: nine thirteen.
- 27:47Speaker 2: They started, they started twenty two games, they started twenty five.
- 27:50Speaker 2: They started later because because of COVID in twenty twenty.
- 27:52Speaker 3: Gotcham All right, well, congratulations was basketball. I'll crush it,
- 27:56Speaker 3: keep crushing it, and good luck in the postseason. We
- 27:58Speaker 3: look forward to having coach Molchi on the show next
- 28:01Speaker 3: week as they enter the SEC tournament and get ready
- 28:05Speaker 3: with the big dance coming up here obviously in March.
- 28:08Speaker 3: All right, stick with us, got a great show ahead,
- 28:11Speaker 3: a lot to get to stick with those here right here.
- 28:13Speaker 3: Off the bench.
- 28:13Speaker 2: It off the bench, all right.
- 28:17Speaker 3: In if you work in an office, it doesn't matter.
- 28:20Speaker 3: The size doesn't matter. Of the place, how many people
- 28:22Speaker 3: work in it, you can't afford downtime. That's where Golf
- 28:25Speaker 3: Coast Office Products steps in. So whether you're running a
- 28:28Speaker 3: small office, a school, university, full scale company, it doesn't matter.
- 28:32Speaker 3: When the printers stop on the copier's jam, it slows
- 28:34Speaker 3: everything down. That lifeline slows down, it's that paper trail.
- 28:39Speaker 3: So Louisiana's leader in office technology, and for over forty years,
- 28:42Speaker 3: Gulf Coast has kept businesses like yours running smoothly with copyers, printers,

- 29:47Speaker 1: Rougees go to for all things Louisiana sports. It feel
- 29:52Speaker 1: like Atlanta, it feels like it feels like mine.
- 29:55Speaker 3: Many feel like, all right, welcome back in here. Off
- 29:59Speaker 3: the bench Friday morning. It feels like Friday too. I'm excited,
- 30:07Speaker 3: excited to sleep in for like six forty five, sixty five,
- 30:12Speaker 3: seven fifteen maybe tops. It's gonna be great. It's kind
- 30:17Speaker 3: of wild. My uh my kids. Remember being a child
- 30:21Speaker 3: and I was like, weekend, I'm gonna sleep late, like
- 30:24Speaker 3: the child slip to like nine ten, right, weekends, my
- 30:29Speaker 3: kids are having six thirty. Now my younger, like my
- 30:33Speaker 3: youngest little himy, she she's a sleeper.
- 30:36Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 30:36Speaker 3: But like yesterday my son had a project, dude, and
- 30:43Speaker 3: he had it was like an extra credit, like they've
- 30:46Speaker 3: booked fair this weekend, and so he had this drawing
- 30:49Speaker 3: he could do and for like extra credit or like
- 30:52Speaker 3: a you know, book fair credit or something like that.
- 30:54Speaker 3: And it was a little competition and he did the
- 30:57Speaker 3: drawing and he was coloring it the night before and
- 30:59Speaker 3: he's like, hey, Deck, can you when you leave so
- 31:02Speaker 3: I can finish my color and I'm like, yeah, absolutely,
- 31:04Speaker 3: but yeah, loo come out with five forty five. He
- 31:06Speaker 3: has popped right up, feet on the ground. What the
- 31:09Speaker 3: got the colored pencils out? Started ripping it.
- 31:12Speaker 5: I want whatever he's on, seriously, just life.
- 31:14Speaker 3: And it's like shook him and I said, hey, buddy,
- 31:17Speaker 3: I'm about to leave eyes popped open. It is unbelievable.
- 31:24Speaker 3: Parents said to like forcibly shake me, to give me up.
- 31:27Speaker 4: As a child, same, I was like the hardest sleeper
- 31:30Speaker 4: and never wanted to wake up.
- 31:32Speaker 3: Good for them. I always wanted to be an early person.
- 31:35Speaker 3: Just couldn't do it how you are. But even like today,
- 31:38Speaker 3: like like as I live now and wake up at
- 31:41Speaker 3: you know, five fifteen, five thirty, I still catch a
- 31:45Speaker 3: second wind at like nine thirty at night every single night.
- 31:49Speaker 3: I can't beat it. I can't shake it. Just a
- 31:52Speaker 3: night out normally I'm out.
- 31:54Speaker 2: Dude. Last night I could not go to sleep, but
- 31:57Speaker 2: I think I went to sleep, like twelve thirty one
- 31:59Speaker 2: o'clock class night, just laying in bed, just tossing and turning.
- 32:03Speaker 3: So frustrating because mid afternoon, late afternoon, I'm like, oh,
- 32:08Speaker 3: I'm tired. I'm exhausted. I need some sleep. I wish
- 32:10Speaker 3: I could take a nap, but I can't because I'm
- 32:13Speaker 3: a human adult with responsibilities. But then it's time to
- 32:18Speaker 3: go to bed, I'm like, eh, I don't want to.
- 32:21Speaker 3: Energy's like, dang, why do I es rush? I think
- 32:25Speaker 3: that's called being an adult?
- 32:26Speaker 2: Oh dude, Like so Victoria, you know, being pregnant, She's
- 32:29Speaker 2: gonna get up in the middle of the night and
- 32:30Speaker 2: go to the bathroom and all that, and then that
- 32:32Speaker 2: wakes me up, and then I can't go back to
- 32:34Speaker 2: like that. They don't tell you the struggles that the
- 32:36Speaker 2: men go through. I think that's under talked about. I
- 32:39Speaker 2: don't think that's talking.
- 32:40Speaker 3: I'm use your next words wise obviously.
- 32:42Speaker 2: Kidding, But like I told I was so I didn't know.
- 32:45Speaker 2: I didn't actually know she was getting up. Like I
- 32:47Speaker 2: told her last night. I was like, yeah, it's been weird.
- 32:49Speaker 2: I've been waking up at like three thirty four o'clock
- 32:52Speaker 2: in the morning, like right before my alarm goes off.
- 32:54Speaker 2: It's like it's feeling like every day this week. She's
- 32:56Speaker 2: like look around like like four fifteen.
- 32:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:59Speaker 2: I was like yeah, She's like, yea, I've gotten up
- 33:00Speaker 2: Ey night to go to the bathroom. I was like, Okay,
- 33:02Speaker 2: that's what it is. Gotta tell her it's not gonna
- 33:04Speaker 2: get much easier. Oh, I know she's she's always like, oh,
- 33:08Speaker 2: she's gotten to the to the point now to where
- 33:10Speaker 2: like no positions comfortable. I mean, she's like right there.
- 33:14Speaker 2: And I told her, I'm like, I hate to be
- 33:15Speaker 2: the barer of bad news. It's not gonna get better.
- 33:18Speaker 3: The mom's out there. They hit like a superhuman stride.
- 33:21Speaker 3: It's unbelievable what I saw my wife like, from the
- 33:24Speaker 3: sleep deprivation to like all the things that happens and
- 33:27Speaker 3: goes on with the pregnancy and then the baby stage
- 33:31Speaker 3: and all that stuff. It's like some superhuman stuff happening,
- 33:34Speaker 3: and uh, pretty impressive. And thank god because I like,
- 33:39Speaker 3: I'm not tough enough for that. I'm no shot, would
- 33:44Speaker 3: have been a terrible brother.
- 33:47Speaker 2: You'd been punches mom, oh, punch the monkey.
- 33:54Speaker 3: God. I forgot to put Cane down there again. I
- 33:58Speaker 3: gotta said an alarm.
- 33:59Speaker 2: She's gonna still your spotlight all week.
- 34:05Speaker 3: Show's been so electric and nobody's noticed because Kane whatever, Kane.
- 34:15Speaker 3: We we were talking all right, we were talking about
- 34:20Speaker 3: last segment women's basketball, Kim Okie getting her h winning
- 34:23Speaker 3: on Senior Night. A lot of milestones hit yesterday, so
- 34:26Speaker 3: congratulations to that. But one highlight that I really found
- 34:32Speaker 3: fascinating and awesome and hilarious and Kim is so awesome.
- 34:36Speaker 3: The one highlight that I saw that I found very
- 34:40Speaker 3: very funny and because it's got a little pop culture
- 34:44Speaker 3: reference as well. Okay, can you play the clip from
- 34:46Speaker 3: last night? Yeah, Taylor, So there she is in the
- 34:49Speaker 3: handshake line, in the handshake line.
- 34:53Speaker 5: I just saw it. I just watch it this morning.
- 34:58Speaker 3: Okay. So she's standard, standard handshake, standard handshake, and then
- 35:02Speaker 3: one person in the line.
- 35:03Speaker 2: We can run a bag, handshake him up.
- 35:11Speaker 3: So if you're watching on YouTube, you see it. But
- 35:13Speaker 3: if you're just listening, she's walking. There's like there's eight
- 35:16Speaker 3: nine people in the handshake line. Standard you know, hand out,
- 35:19Speaker 3: nice grip, white guy handshake, and there's one person in
- 35:23Speaker 3: the line and complete like casual, what's up? Dabs him up, bro,
- 35:29Speaker 3: hug all the good stuff. And if y'all think you've
- 35:32Speaker 3: seen that before, this is not the first time this
- 35:36Speaker 3: has happened. This has actually happened on a political stage.
- 35:40Speaker 3: On Comedy Central, Ian Roberts's Peter Tensio as Jerome Smith.
- 35:47Speaker 3: Come on, you know this. Keith Williamson, nice.
- 35:52Speaker 2: To Mary Mardberry, j Martel.
- 35:56Speaker 3: Robins, come on, come on, come on. Kim Make did
- 36:04Speaker 3: the key in phill Obama skit last night and that's
- 36:09Speaker 3: one hundred accurate. Holy cow, it's unbelievable.
- 36:14Speaker 5: Wait, someone else has done that before.
- 36:16Speaker 3: It's kind of recently too. I can't remember who it was.
- 36:19Speaker 5: Sean Payton it was.
- 36:21Speaker 2: It was an NFL coach for sure. It may it
- 36:23Speaker 2: may have been.
- 36:23Speaker 3: Oh my god. It was like laying in bed last
- 36:28Speaker 3: night scrolling and I was just giggling laughing. I was like,
- 36:32Speaker 3: oh my god, this is absolutely incredible, and it's like
- 36:36Speaker 3: to a t what that skin is?
- 36:41Speaker 5: It was him?
- 36:43Speaker 3: It was. I think that kim Oki might have done
- 36:48Speaker 3: it better than the ship. Actually it was.
- 36:51Speaker 2: It was smooth.
- 36:51Speaker 3: It was so smooth and so uh highlighted. It's so good.
- 37:00Speaker 3: Good for her. That's why she's the best. Es why
- 37:03Speaker 3: she is the absolute best. I've had so much key
- 37:09Speaker 3: and pill like hitting my timeline recently too. I've seen
- 37:12Speaker 3: that skip like eight times this week.
- 37:14Speaker 5: They're iconic.
- 37:15Speaker 3: They are right iconic.
- 37:16Speaker 2: We got Sean, what up?
- 37:20Speaker 5: What up?
- 37:21Speaker 6: Bro?
- 37:22Speaker 4: What up?
- 37:25Speaker 5: Tapping them up? Hello, good sir, think of that.
- 37:29Speaker 3: Yeah, boom boom boom, secret handshake, secret handshake.
- 37:33Speaker 6: Hey, thanks for a white guy. Hello sir, thanks for
- 37:36Speaker 6: showing up. Hello sir. How are you look? Nice uniform,
- 37:40Speaker 6: nice firm grip there, Look me in the eye. It's
- 37:45Speaker 6: something you gotta teach.
- 37:47Speaker 2: Handshake with people.
- 37:48Speaker 3: Handshake, you gotta teach it. I'm still teaching it. Kids
- 37:51Speaker 3: aren't learning right now. You don't want the you don't want,
- 37:55Speaker 3: you don't want the lamp hand like that.
- 37:58Speaker 4: Like top dog people with the handshake. You gotta let
- 38:02Speaker 4: them know you're the one.
- 38:03Speaker 3: Yeah, you're the autpha. Yeah, they're the beta. Yes, you're
- 38:07Speaker 3: the hammer, they're the nail. Uh. Yeah. So I think
- 38:12Speaker 3: the natural handshake, especially for her. If you're teaching a kid,
- 38:16Speaker 3: it's they kind of like look away. They stick their
- 38:18Speaker 3: arm out there, like I don't want to do this thing.
- 38:21Speaker 3: Dad's telling me.
- 38:21Speaker 2: I can play video games though.
- 38:23Speaker 3: Yeah, so you gotta teach him to look him in
- 38:25Speaker 3: the eye. Nice from handshake. And it's harder to teach
- 38:29Speaker 3: than I thought it would be. But the ultimate sign
- 38:33Speaker 3: of respect, But the ultimate ultimate sign of respect is
- 38:37Speaker 3: what Kim Molkie just did, so respect to her. Yeah,

- 41:49Speaker 3: They win the Super Service Award every year since twenty sixteen, sixteen, seventy, eighteen,
- 41:55Speaker 3: ninety No all the way, so this year, every single year,
- 41:59Speaker 3: they are the best. Got checking about to go? Tommy's
- 42:01Speaker 3: dot com quick article came out about proposed changes to
- 42:10Speaker 3: the college football targeting rules which would indicate this proposed
- 42:17Speaker 3: rule change one of your trial rule allow players that
- 42:21Speaker 3: are disqualified for targeting to play in the next game,
- 42:25Speaker 3: no matter which half of football it comes. Obviously, they're
- 42:28Speaker 3: really dumb targeted rules. Now, if you're you got to
- 42:31Speaker 3: miss a half of football, whatever it is. If you're
- 42:33Speaker 3: in the second second half of football, you have to
- 42:35Speaker 3: miss the next one, even if it's a year removed.
- 42:38Speaker 3: We saw that this year with LSU, So that is
- 42:41Speaker 3: the proposed rule. I think it is absolutely a rule
- 42:44Speaker 3: that should be changed now. If a player gets flagged
- 42:46Speaker 3: for a second targeting, then they can miss a half
- 42:50Speaker 3: of football, and if they get and if they get
- 42:53Speaker 3: called for a third targeting, then they can miss in
- 42:55Speaker 3: a complete game. So I think we all think that
- 42:58Speaker 3: those rules are really dumb. Think that the targeting rules
- 43:01Speaker 3: affects every single team in some way. And hopefully this
- 43:05Speaker 3: rule passes and one year trial. I think that one
- 43:07Speaker 3: year trial will probably go pretty well. We need to
- 43:17Speaker 3: of course mention this as well as Louisiana and of
- 43:20Speaker 3: course myself being a former LSU Tiger athlete. LSU morns
- 43:27Speaker 3: a loss this week. Devonte Lee, former wide receiver for LSU,
- 43:32Speaker 3: who also transferred to Louisiana Tech, has passed away. I
- 43:37Speaker 3: know this news kind of came out yesterday, but being
- 43:41Speaker 3: myself as part of a family, part of the LSU family,
- 43:47Speaker 3: certainly wanted to mention it here as well. This began
- 43:51Speaker 3: multiple years ago. He was he played at LSU. I
- 43:54Speaker 3: think he was part of the twenty nineteen team as well.
- 43:58Speaker 3: He began experience of your back pain and then that
- 44:02Speaker 3: this was months after transferring. Then he was diagnosed with
- 44:06Speaker 3: I think osteosarcoma, which is some sort of a form
- 44:09Speaker 3: of bone cancer, had a couple of surgeries, ten weeks
- 44:13Speaker 3: of chemotherapy, seven weeks of radiation, and it was pronounced
- 44:16Speaker 3: cancer free. And I don't think we know the exact
- 44:20Speaker 3: cause of death. I think some speculation it could have
- 44:22Speaker 3: been cancer again, but nonetheless we certainly more in the
- 44:26Speaker 3: loss of DeVante Lee. We celebrate his life. And there's
- 44:32Speaker 3: no easy way to say that, no easy way, but
- 44:35Speaker 3: I just wanted my condolences to him. I will love
- 44:37Speaker 3: the LSU family, and it's something that always is going
- 44:41Speaker 3: to affect. When it affects one of us, it affects everyone.
- 44:44Speaker 3: So we pray for him, We pray for him and
- 44:46Speaker 3: his family and stick with us right here from off
- 44:48Speaker 1: The venture, off the bench,
