- 1:25Speaker 3: go verse by verse, chapter by chapter through the Word
- 1:29Speaker 3: of God. We have a built-in accountability partner segment on
- 1:35Speaker 3: this podcast. Well, we call it discipleship, right? That's what
- 1:39Speaker 3: the Bible calls it, where you can call in. We
- 1:42Speaker 3: have a weekly call. We have an online community. We
- 1:46Speaker 3: have a chat room. We have a social media page
- 1:51Speaker 3: where we encourage each other, we send in prayer requests,
- 1:55Speaker 3: we send links and great material. Everything here is to
- 2:01Speaker 3: keep us lifted up because we take it seriously, the
- 2:05Speaker 3: words of Jesus himself, that the pathway of life is
- 2:10Speaker 3: narrow and there are only a few who find it.
- 2:13Speaker 3: We know that this world is temporary. This world is
- 2:17Speaker 3: passing away. But we truly believe and trust that if
- 2:23Speaker 3: we are students of God's word and we allow the
- 2:27Speaker 3: word to be engrafted in us, right? We allow the
- 2:32Speaker 3: word to be a part of our DNA. It is
- 2:35Speaker 3: the word of God that will help us grow spiritually
- 2:38Speaker 3: is the word of God that will help us win
- 2:42Speaker 3: the battles in our hearts, our minds, our emotions, and
- 2:46Speaker 3: win the war against Satan himself. It is the word
- 2:48Speaker 3: of God. That will help us get closer to our
- 2:52Speaker 3: Lord and Savior. So that's what we are about. That
- 2:57Speaker 3: is the backbone of the Hishop Nation. It is the
- 3:00Speaker 3: word of the Lord and fellowship and prayer. It is Jesus. Amen.
- 3:07Speaker 3: And so in order for you to take part in that,
- 3:13Speaker 3: go ahead and download the Hishop Radio app. H-I-S-H-O-P on
- 3:17Speaker 3: all platforms. And once you download it, go to the homepage,
- 3:21Speaker 3: go to the top left menu, hit that drop down
- 3:24Speaker 3: and then click on live chat. It only takes a
- 3:27Speaker 3: few seconds to register. Tap that register button. All you
- 3:31Speaker 3: need is a username, email address and password. And we
- 3:36Speaker 3: will say welcome to the family. And also, don't just
- 3:43Speaker 3: stop there. Go to our community page. Go to the
- 3:46Speaker 3: same place at top left menu. Scroll down a little further.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Look up community and get registered in that as well.
- 3:54Speaker 3: We can do a little more in our community than
- 3:56Speaker 3: the live chat. We could post links, upload pics. We
- 4:03Speaker 3: can post articles. There's a lot more flexibility in that one.
- 4:10Speaker 3: So we want you to sign up for both and
- 4:12Speaker 3: then meet us every day at 11 o'clock Pacific Standard Time.
- 4:17Speaker 3: As we go live on the His Heart Radio Station,
- 4:20Speaker 3: we will meet you in a live chat. We will
- 4:23Speaker 3: encourage you and help you or just say what's up.
- 4:27Speaker 3: We just love the support and we don't take it
- 4:33Speaker 3: lightly at all. We acknowledge all of you. So let's
- 4:39Speaker 3: go before our Father in prayer. Father God, thank you
- 4:43Speaker 3: for your word. Oh God, give us understanding today. Help
- 4:47Speaker 3: us recognize that every blessing comes with responsibility and that
- 4:51Speaker 3: every position of influence carries accountability, oh God. Father God,
- 4:57Speaker 3: show us the danger of turning away from you after
- 5:01Speaker 3: you've blessed us, oh God. Lord, let us not do
- 5:04Speaker 3: that in our hearts, oh God. Keep us humble when
- 5:08Speaker 3: things are going well and keep us faithful when you
- 5:11Speaker 3: have entrusted us with influence. Help us learn from Judah's
- 5:19Speaker 3: mistakes instead of reaping them ourselves, oh God. And we
- 5:24Speaker 3: ask this in Jesus' mighty name. Amen and amen. Now,
- 5:29Speaker 3: grab your Bibles, your notepads, your highlighters. We are in
- 5:32Speaker 3: the book of Jeremiah chapter 22. And we are in
- 5:37Speaker 3: verse 6. We're going to take it from verse 6
- 5:39Speaker 3: to verse 10. The title of today's message is When
- 5:42Speaker 3: Blessing Turns Into Judgment. This is very, very sobering. So
- 5:51Speaker 3: let us make sure we pay attention. In our last episode,
- 5:56Speaker 3: God commanded the king of Judah to execute judgment and
- 6:00Speaker 3: righteousness and to look to deliver the oppressed and to
- 6:03Speaker 3: stop abusing those who are vulnerable in the community. And
- 6:08Speaker 3: now God explains what is going to happen if they
- 6:11Speaker 3: refuse to listen. And the picture God gives us, Jeremiah
- 6:16Speaker 3: is powerful. He compares the house of the king of
- 6:19Speaker 3: Gilead and the top of Lebanon place in Lebanon. Yeah,
- 6:27Speaker 3: I believe that's how Lebanon. Yeah, those places were lush
- 6:31Speaker 3: and beautiful.
- 6:33Speaker 4: Right.
- 6:34Speaker 3: And they love they used to get cedars from Lebanon.
- 6:37Speaker 3: So they used to build a palace with the wood
- 6:41Speaker 3: trees and from Lebanon and it was always associated with beauty, strength,
- 6:46Speaker 3: and abundance. But God says that this same place will
- 6:50Speaker 3: become desolate. Why? Because blessings do not cancel obedience. Just
- 6:57Speaker 3: because God has blessed us does not mean we can
- 7:02Speaker 3: stop being obedient to his word and be submitted to him. Amen.
- 7:08Speaker 3: He is our Lord and our savior. So All right.
- 7:14Speaker 3: With that being said, let's go ahead and get our scripture.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Starting in verse six. For this says the Lord to
- 7:29Speaker 3: the house of the king of Judah. You are Gilead
- 7:35Speaker 3: to me.
- 7:35Speaker 1: It looks like you lost another one.
- 7:38Speaker 3: The herd of Lebanon. Yet I surely will make you
- 7:42Speaker 3: a wilderness place. cities which are not inhabited.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Amen.
- 7:49Speaker 3: We're getting right into it, right? God is describing Judah
- 7:58Speaker 3: and he's describing the royal house in terms of something
- 8:03Speaker 3: valuable and impressive. In other words, Gilead was known for
- 8:08Speaker 3: its Terrific land and resources. A very lush place. Green
- 8:16Speaker 3: cedar wood. Cedar trees came out of the place. If
- 8:19Speaker 3: you read the Bible, King Solomon used the lumber from
- 8:28Speaker 3: Lebanon to build a temple. So God is essentially saying
- 8:36Speaker 3: right here, I have given you something beautiful today. invaluable
- 8:40Speaker 3: but then comes a warning yet surely I will make
- 8:45Speaker 3: it a wilderness now that is a drastic change something
- 8:56Speaker 3: that was once flourishing would become desolate I've seen this
- 9:01Speaker 3: happen in my personal life I've seen this happen in
- 9:06Speaker 3: so many ministries And in so many places, right? And
- 9:14Speaker 3: it's always tragic when it does happen. But the lesson here,
- 9:20Speaker 3: we can't miss it. We can't go past it too fast.
- 9:24Speaker 3: When God blesses can be damaged by our disobedience. God
- 9:30Speaker 3: has given Judah tremendous opportunity. They had the temple. He
- 9:41Speaker 3: gave he made a covenant with the nation. He gave
- 9:44Speaker 3: them their laws and how to interact and how to
- 9:47Speaker 3: have this marital relationship together. They had the very throne
- 9:54Speaker 3: of David. And in the last episode, we talked about
- 9:58Speaker 3: how rich in history they godly dynasty that was a
- 10:03Speaker 3: godly legacy that david left his descendants they had prophets
- 10:10Speaker 3: that spoke directly to them This nation had a awesome
- 10:17Speaker 3: history with God, but having blessings doesn't mean we can
- 10:22Speaker 3: live however we want. Sometimes people think God has blessed me.
- 10:28Speaker 3: So something I'm doing must be OK. I must be
- 10:32Speaker 3: doing something right. Right. Just because the blessing is there.
- 10:35Speaker 3: But no, a blessing is not necessarily God's approval of
- 10:40Speaker 3: something that we are doing.
- 10:43Speaker 5: Right?
- 10:44Speaker 3: Sometimes God blesses you because he is giving you an
- 10:47Speaker 3: opportunity to use what you've received for his purpose.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Amen.
- 10:56Speaker 3: Sometimes a blessing is not for you. There's an assignment
- 11:01Speaker 3: attached to it. Maybe there's a hungry family. Maybe there's
- 11:06Speaker 3: a ministry you're supposed to be supporting. Maybe there are
- 11:11Speaker 3: souls attached to $ 5, $ 2 that you could give in support. Right?
- 11:19Speaker 2: All right.
- 11:22Speaker 3: Verse 7. I will prepare destroyers against you. Everyone with
- 11:29Speaker 3: his weapons. They shall cut down your choice cedars and
- 11:35Speaker 3: cast them into the fire. Wow. Now, God gives Jeremiah
- 11:43Speaker 3: a picture of destruction right here. Could you imagine this?
- 11:49Speaker 3: Us living in the United States, we've never really feared
- 11:54Speaker 3: other countries invading us. I mean, yes, we were in
- 11:59Speaker 3: competition with Russia for years. I do acknowledge the Cold War,
- 12:04Speaker 3: but we've never experienced soldiers walking up and down the
- 12:08Speaker 3: streets of our neighborhoods. from a foreign country threatening us
- 12:15Speaker 3: for two reasons one we do have a powerful military
- 12:21Speaker 3: and at one point we were the most powerful military
- 12:24Speaker 3: in the world I'm not sure if we still have
- 12:26Speaker 3: that status anymore but we're still up there we're still
- 12:29Speaker 3: a force to be reckoned with and also the second
- 12:33Speaker 3: reason is the citizens of our country We have had
- 12:40Speaker 3: the right to bear arms for 250 years. There are
- 12:45Speaker 3: so many guns in this country. It is not the
- 12:49Speaker 3: army that they fear. It is the citizens. There'd be
- 12:55Speaker 3: so many bullets. They wouldn't even know where to look.
- 12:59Speaker 3: If we were invaded like that, like they would really
- 13:02Speaker 3: have to take us out. In order to get this
- 13:06Speaker 3: country now. Nothing is too hard for God. It's not
- 13:13Speaker 3: like it can't happen if we keep running away and
- 13:18Speaker 3: turning our backs on God, just like God is doing
- 13:22Speaker 3: to Judah. He said that these men are coming with weapons.
- 13:34Speaker 3: They're coming to invade the land. The enemy will cut
- 13:40Speaker 3: them down even though the choice cedars were something valuable
- 13:51Speaker 3: what they had built up would be torn down what
- 13:56Speaker 3: looked strong would suddenly be vulnerable so God is showing
- 14:05Speaker 3: them what the destruction is about to look like right
- 14:10Speaker 3: judgment when people continually reject God's warning. God doesn't bring
- 14:15Speaker 3: judgment without first giving people opportunities to repent. That is merciful.
- 14:25Speaker 3: That is a beautiful God. And I repent on a
- 14:28Speaker 3: daily basis, beloved, like I don't want to waste a second. Now,
- 14:33Speaker 3: Judah had been warned repeatedly and the prophets, they have
- 14:38Speaker 3: spoken to the nation, but God had called the nation
- 14:43Speaker 3: to turn back to him. But persistent rebellion eventually produces consequences.
- 14:51Speaker 3: The destruction Jeremiah describes isn't simply about buildings or political power.
- 14:59Speaker 3: It represents the consequences of turning away from God after
- 15:05Speaker 3: repeatedly being given the opportunity to return back to him.
- 15:12Speaker 3: And man, we need Jesus, y'all. America needs Jesus. Verse 8,
- 15:20Speaker 3: and many nations will pass by the city and everyone
- 15:24Speaker 3: will say to his neighbor, why has the Lord done
- 15:28Speaker 3: so to this great city? Why has the Lord done
- 15:34Speaker 3: so to this great city now? Imagine that for a second.
- 15:39Speaker 3: Look at this scene. Foreign nations walk past Jerusalem. They
- 15:44Speaker 3: see what happened. They look at the city that once
- 15:48Speaker 3: appeared great and they ask, why did God allow this
- 15:54Speaker 3: to happen? Now that becomes an object lesson. That becomes
- 16:01Speaker 3: a Bible study. They ask directly. They know that Jerusalem
- 16:05Speaker 3: has always been associated with God. His name was there. Now,
- 16:13Speaker 3: the reason why this is important is because judgment would
- 16:17Speaker 3: become a testimony. People would see the consequences and ask
- 16:24Speaker 3: what caused it. That would be an opportunity to learn.
- 16:31Speaker 3: Even in destruction, God could use it. Amen? Do you
- 16:38Speaker 3: want to be a lesson or message to people. Verse nine,
- 16:44Speaker 3: then they will answer because they have forsaken the covenant
- 16:48Speaker 3: of the Lord, their God, and worship other gods and
- 16:52Speaker 3: served them. Man, I mean, that is just a straight
- 16:59Speaker 3: up lesson. Like that is, I mean, that is a
- 17:05Speaker 3: testimony right there. Now, Here are the inhabitants of the land.
- 17:11Speaker 3: They tempt them to worship their gods. And then once
- 17:16Speaker 3: they get destroyed and then they say, wow, they worship
- 17:20Speaker 3: other gods. That is why the Lord God has dealt
- 17:23Speaker 3: with them this way, right? They forsook God's covenant. They
- 17:29Speaker 3: abandoned their relationship with God. They replaced God with other
- 17:34Speaker 3: gods with a lowercase g. This wasn't simply political failure, beloved.
- 17:44Speaker 3: It was spiritual rebellion against God. Ideology changes everything. Jeremiah
- 17:55Speaker 3: keeps bringing us back to this issue throughout this book.
- 17:59Speaker 3: Judah wasn't merely making a few bad decisions here. They
- 18:04Speaker 3: were rejecting God straight out. And that's where we have
- 18:10Speaker 3: to be careful, even as today, most people aren't bowing
- 18:15Speaker 3: down to carved statues, but an idol doesn't have to
- 18:20Speaker 3: be made of wood or stone for it to become
- 18:25Speaker 3: an idol in our hearts. Anything that takes God's rightful
- 18:30Speaker 3: place in our hearts can become an idol. It could
- 18:33Speaker 3: be money. It could be fame. A relationship, your spouse
- 18:40Speaker 3: could become an idol. Your children can become idols. Success
- 18:45Speaker 3: can become an idol. Your career could become an idol.
- 18:49Speaker 3: Do you give more energy and more effort in your
- 18:52Speaker 3: career than you do in seeking God? Right? Even ministry
- 18:59Speaker 3: can become an idol. If the work becomes more important
- 19:03Speaker 3: than us to us, then. the God we are supposed
- 19:10Speaker 3: to be serving, right? The question isn't simply, do I
- 19:15Speaker 3: have idols? The question is, is anything competing with God
- 19:23Speaker 3: for first place in my life? Amen. Who is competing
- 19:31Speaker 3: for first place in our hearts? Whatever it is, beloved,
- 19:39Speaker 3: If it's not God, it's considered an idol. And it's
- 19:44Speaker 3: something that we definitely got to pray against. Verse 10,
- 19:48Speaker 3: weep not for the dead. Nor become. Nor bemoan them.
- 19:54Speaker 3: Weep bitterly for him who goes away. For he shall
- 19:59Speaker 3: return no more. Nor see his native country.
- 20:05Speaker 2: That.
- 20:07Speaker 1: That.
- 20:09Speaker 3: It's heartbreaking. Now this verse requires us to slow down
- 20:15Speaker 3: for a little bit. Let's park for a second. Jeremiah
- 20:20Speaker 3: tells the people don't weep for the dead. Instead weep
- 20:25Speaker 3: for the person who is going away into captivity. Now
- 20:32Speaker 3: it's talking about the coming exile. Those who will go
- 20:36Speaker 3: into Babylon. The people were going to experience something worse
- 20:41Speaker 3: than simply mourning someone who had died or who was
- 20:48Speaker 3: killed in this besiege, in this battle. Now, they would
- 21:01Speaker 3: watch people being taken away from their homelands And I
- 21:08Speaker 3: can't help but to think about the United States at
- 21:15Speaker 3: the time where they had slavery in this country and
- 21:20Speaker 3: being a black man, you know, my descendants, my ancestors
- 21:29Speaker 3: were taken from their native country. And they were put
- 21:35Speaker 3: into chains and they were brought to the United States. Now,
- 21:44Speaker 3: I don't speak out of bitterness or out of racism
- 21:47Speaker 3: or anything like that because I believe spiritually Africa has
- 21:55Speaker 3: been entrenched in witchcraft and idolatry for years. I think
- 22:01Speaker 3: it was an act of mercy.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Looks like you lost another one.
- 22:04Speaker 3: That we were delivered from that and that we were
- 22:09Speaker 3: introduced to the God of heaven when we came to
- 22:12Speaker 3: the United States. Now, this is not me saying I
- 22:16Speaker 3: support slavery. I'm just talking about the spiritual side of it.
- 22:19Speaker 3: I want every man to be free. And of course,
- 22:22Speaker 3: we have been reading, if you haven't heard or listened
- 22:27Speaker 3: to the last podcast, we saw God's attitude about those
- 22:33Speaker 3: who are being oppressed and God doesn't want his people oppressed.
- 22:39Speaker 3: God will judge a nation for oppressing the vulnerable instead
- 22:43Speaker 3: of supporting and helping them. So that's not what I'm
- 22:47Speaker 3: saying at all. But spiritually, everything was so corrupt in
- 22:54Speaker 3: Africa that it is not above God to judge. I mean,
- 23:01Speaker 3: just think about it. Was it a judgment of God?
- 23:04Speaker 3: I think it was. If God will do it to Judah,
- 23:07Speaker 3: how come he won't do it to Africa and other
- 23:10Speaker 3: nations of the world? But also, I believe it was
- 23:15Speaker 3: an act of mercy as well so that our descendants
- 23:23Speaker 3: can get away from a witchcraft environment. But here in
- 23:33Speaker 3: the passage, they would not see their homeland And that
- 23:37Speaker 3: person will not return to see his native country. It's happened.
- 23:45Speaker 3: If it happens to them, why not us? Now, think
- 23:51Speaker 3: about what Jerusalem is going through and the message of Jeremiah.
- 23:58Speaker 3: Death will bring grief, right? It's just a part of it.
- 24:05Speaker 3: We all have loved ones that we grieve and that
- 24:07Speaker 3: we miss, but exile brings another kind of pain. You
- 24:13Speaker 3: don't just lose someone, you watch them leave. You don't
- 24:20Speaker 3: know what their future will look like. You don't know
- 24:24Speaker 3: when or if they will ever come back home. And
- 24:33Speaker 3: Jeremiah is essentially saying, don't miss the real tragedy here.
- 24:40Speaker 3: The real tragedy is that sin is, the real tragedy
- 24:48Speaker 3: is what sin is producing the consequences of their rebellion.
- 24:54Speaker 3: And if we're not careful, and if we don't deal
- 25:00Speaker 3: with sin in our own lives, it could most definitely
- 25:08Speaker 3: affect us. Sometimes we just, we focus so much on
- 25:16Speaker 3: the visible consequences that we forget to examine the spiritual
- 25:21Speaker 3: condition that caused them. Let me say that again. We
- 25:25Speaker 3: focus so much on the physical consequences that we forget
- 25:32Speaker 3: about the spiritual condition that caused them that's exactly my
- 25:39Speaker 3: point when it comes when it came to slavery in
- 25:42Speaker 3: this country what was going on spiritually that could have
- 25:47Speaker 3: caused the consequences and even United States of America we
- 25:55Speaker 3: are not above God's law America is not above the
- 26:00Speaker 3: Ten Commandments and That's a t-shirt right there. Amen. So
- 26:10Speaker 3: the big lesson here is blessing doesn't replace obedience.
- 26:16Speaker 6: God can give you opportunity, resources, influence, and success, but
- 26:23Speaker 6: those things don't give you permission to abandon him at all.
- 26:28Speaker 3: Amen. Amen. And also, persistent rebellion eventually produces consequences. God
- 26:37Speaker 3: is patient. God will send warning after warning. God gives
- 26:42Speaker 3: opportunity to repent. But we should never mistake God's patience
- 26:48Speaker 3: for God's approval. And idolatry always competes with our relationship
- 26:57Speaker 3: with God. Judah They did not just simply have a
- 27:05Speaker 3: weak political system in the nation. They became spiritually unfaithful.
- 27:10Speaker 3: There's a difference. They abandoned the covenant and worshipped other gods.
- 27:19Speaker 3: What do you think America is doing right now? Satan
- 27:23Speaker 3: worship is on the rise. So many religious influences other
- 27:28Speaker 3: than I mean I'm talking about a cult like Islam
- 27:34Speaker 3: is on the rise in this nation. And they say
- 27:37Speaker 3: openly that they want to destroy America. And all we
- 27:41Speaker 3: have to do is look at Europe. Look at what
- 27:46Speaker 3: Muslims are doing in Europe. And we can see what
- 27:51Speaker 3: their plan and what their strategy is for the United States.
- 27:55Speaker 3: I believe that they will be the foot soldiers for
- 27:58Speaker 3: the Antichrist. Because in their religion, they believe in murder.
- 28:05Speaker 3: They are commanded to kill Christians and Jews. And that
- 28:13Speaker 3: is so demonic. All right, beloved, let's take a quick break.
- 28:37Speaker 4: You are listening to The Light of Las Vegas. This
- 28:41Speaker 4: is the HizHop Radio Show.
- 28:43Speaker 5: I ain't going to wait on it.
- 28:46Speaker 2: I'm going to go in now.
- 28:51Speaker 3: Hey, okay.
- 28:53Speaker 2: It ain't nothing to talk about. I see they fake. Hey,
- 28:55Speaker 2: it ain't nothing to talk about. I see they hate.
- 28:58Speaker 5: Time to clear the whole room.
- 28:59Speaker 2: Watch me renovate. Time to clear the whole room. Watch me.
- 29:03Speaker 5: Hey, big truck coming like a U-Haul. Got grooved in.
- 29:07Speaker 5: Tell them back, back.
- 29:08Speaker 2: I'm about to move in. Time to clear the whole room.

- 29:12Speaker 2: whole room.
- 29:13Speaker 3: Let me.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Hey, hey.
- 29:15Speaker 5: Truck coming like a U-Haul, got grooved in. Tell them back, back,
- 29:19Speaker 5: I'm about to move in. We gon' do construction in

- 29:27Speaker 5: turnt up to the maximum. I'm swerving in the maximum.
- 29:30Speaker 5: They wanna show, I'm taxing them. I did it, I
- 29:32Speaker 5: did it, I did it without asking them. I'm plain
- 29:34Speaker 5: Jane down, I'm different, I ain't matching them.
- 29:37Speaker 5: .
- 29:38Speaker 2: .

- 30:00Speaker 2: It ain't nothing to talk about. I see they fake.
- 30:01Speaker 2: It ain't nothing to talk about. I see they hate.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Time to clear the whole room. Watch me renovate. Time
- 30:08Speaker 2: to clear the whole room. Watch me hate. Big truck
- 30:11Speaker 2: coming like a U-Haul. Got grooved in.
- 30:14Speaker 5: Tell them back, back. I'm about to move in. Time
- 30:16Speaker 5: to clear the whole room.
- 30:17Speaker 2: Watch me renovate. Watch me renovate. Time to clear the
- 30:19Speaker 2: whole room, let me leave.
- 30:22Speaker 7: Leave it up to Ringo for to get me out
- 30:24Speaker 7: my element. Heaven sent, but I'm still big stepping like
- 30:27Speaker 7: an elephant. Play with me, I'm snitching when I pray,
- 30:29Speaker 7: but I be telling it. Used to be a handyman
- 30:31Speaker 7: to things that I knew better than like half a
- 30:33Speaker 7: boy dead with a little season. I was deviling. Life
- 30:36Speaker 7: is not a game. If you still breathing, better cherish it.
- 30:39Speaker 7: Boasted up with grace, I'm with that season.
- 30:40Speaker 2: We in fellowship. Fell off a couple times. I used
- 30:43Speaker 2: to think that I would never slip. I'm up. Man,
- 30:45Speaker 2: you know exactly what it do. I'm hollering.
- 30:47Speaker 3: Beep, beep. Clear the room, that tractor coming through.
- 30:49Speaker 2: Hold it balanced. Man, I feel like Michael.
- 30:51Speaker 3: Jackson when I move.
- 30:52Speaker 2: I be like, hee, hee. Hold on.
- 30:54Speaker 3: Demons try to take me out.
- 30:56Speaker 2: I had to hit them with that bing, boop, bop, bam.
- 30:58Speaker 3: Wonder would you love me still if you could.
- 30:59Speaker 2: See who I am. You be calling y'all way back
- 31:02Speaker 2: to back. Me too, I spam.
- 31:03Speaker 3: Ringo, they still hating after that.
- 31:05Speaker 2: Me too, got. Hold on. It ain't nothing to talk about.
- 31:08Speaker 2: I see they think.
- 31:08Speaker 4: Let go.
- 31:09Speaker 2: Hey, it ain't nothing to talk about. I see they hate. Yo,
- 31:12Speaker 2: time to clear the whole room. Watch me renovate. Time
- 31:15Speaker 2: to clear the whole room. Watch me.
- 31:17Speaker 5: Hey, big truck coming like a U-Haul. Got grooved in.
- 31:21Speaker 5: Tell them back, back. I'm about to move in. Time
- 31:23Speaker 5: to clear the whole room.
- 31:24Speaker 2: Watch me renovate. Watch me renovate. Time to clear the
- 31:26Speaker 2: whole room. Let me cook. It's time to renovate. We'll
- 31:30Speaker 2: be right back. I'm rolling.
- 31:53Speaker 8: I'm going in. Started this at 14. My daddy thought
- 31:56Speaker 8: it'd be a phase. Started with a must of C9s
- 31:58Speaker 8: like the Himalayas.
- 32:00Speaker 2: Never seen so many.
- 32:01Speaker 8: Salty people who ain't got no flavor. OG, I'm the
- 32:03Speaker 8: coach now, but somehow I still keep it playing. Sure
- 32:06Speaker 8: you want to hop up in the swan water with
- 32:07Speaker 8: the Gators? Ringo already told us that this ain't no entertainment.
- 32:11Speaker 8: So use those cheat codes for extra lives and best
- 32:13Speaker 8: of luck with gaming.
- 32:16Speaker 4: You are listening to The Light of Las Vegas.
- 32:19Speaker 3: This is Yo, yo, we are back from the break.
- 32:42Speaker 3: That was the Ringo on the musical break there. Check
- 32:46Speaker 3: them out. One of my wife's and my daughter's favorites,
- 32:51Speaker 3: the Ringo. He's got some hot CHH. If you want
- 32:57Speaker 3: to look up some new artists. Now it is time
- 33:02Speaker 3: for the accountability partner segment. One of the reasons why
- 33:10Speaker 3: we love meeting together every day is so that we
- 33:12Speaker 3: can pray and uplift and support one another. The Bible
- 33:16Speaker 3: says iron sharpens iron. Fellowship is a blessing. So I
- 33:22Speaker 3: want to give a shout out to my brother Zone.
- 33:25Speaker 3: I am so glad, my brother, that God is blessing you,
- 33:29Speaker 3: oh God, with this podcast. Blessing you, oh God. But
- 33:33Speaker 3: God is blessing you, my brother, with this podcast. I
- 33:38Speaker 3: pray that it will be a blessing to you and
- 33:39Speaker 3: your family. And we definitely want to grow and we
- 33:48Speaker 3: we get hundreds of people who download the podcast but
- 33:51Speaker 3: we want more people to log into the live chat
- 33:57Speaker 3: because we we want to get to know who you
- 34:00Speaker 3: are who are you out there you know all i
- 34:03Speaker 3: can see is this microphone so my way to see
- 34:07Speaker 3: you guys is in the chat in our community if
- 34:12Speaker 3: you guys log in what's up to our brother corinth
- 34:14Speaker 3: corinth is a comedian If you look him up, I
- 34:20Speaker 3: believe his YouTube is You Play Too Much, something like that.
- 34:25Speaker 3: So shout out to y'all who log in and support us.
- 34:30Speaker 3: And so talking about accountability, the challenge for today is
- 34:36Speaker 3: get in touch with your accountability partner and ask them,
- 34:41Speaker 3: what is the thing that become an idol in my life? Now,
- 34:52Speaker 3: do not defend yourself. Just throw it out there. Just
- 34:57Speaker 3: ask the question and listen. Then ask the question, what
- 35:03Speaker 3: can I do this week to put God back in
- 35:07Speaker 3: first place? How can I put God back in the
- 35:11Speaker 3: first place? This isn't about condemnation is about examination examine
- 35:17Speaker 3: our hearts and see what the spirit is telling us
- 35:21Speaker 3: at this moment sometimes we need somebody who loves us
- 35:24Speaker 3: enough to tell us something that even if we don't
- 35:28Speaker 3: want to hear it right that's why i gotta be
- 35:32Speaker 3: careful even myself that i'm not pursuing a platform as
- 35:37Speaker 3: much as i want to Reopen the club as much
- 35:41Speaker 3: as I want this podcast to grow, as much as
- 35:43Speaker 3: I want listeners to grow on the radio station. I
- 35:47Speaker 3: want more website visits. I want more app downloads. I
- 35:51Speaker 3: would love to be able to do this full time.
- 35:53Speaker 3: You know, I work a full time gig, but my
- 35:58Speaker 3: passion and my heart is to be able to to
- 36:01Speaker 3: run this organization full time and to be able to
- 36:05Speaker 3: bless my family and bless our community. But am I
- 36:10Speaker 3: chasing a platform or am I chasing God? I love it.
- 36:15Speaker 3: Sometimes it gets great. I ain't gonna lie. I have
- 36:19Speaker 3: to look at my energy. I have to look at
- 36:21Speaker 3: where am I spending, investing my time. I have to
- 36:26Speaker 3: look at a lot of these things and a lot
- 36:27Speaker 3: of these Bible studies are convicting to me just as
- 36:32Speaker 3: well as the people who listen. Any good Pastor, preacher
- 36:38Speaker 3: worth worth his salt will tell you that they were
- 36:41Speaker 3: convicted first before they brought the message. So pray for me, beloved.
- 36:49Speaker 3: Pray that this is my accountability moment right here. You know,
- 36:54Speaker 3: pray that this platform will not become an idol or
- 36:58Speaker 3: even relationships, you know, my marriage or other people. In
- 37:03Speaker 3: my life that they will not have a louder voice
- 37:05Speaker 3: than the word of God in my life. That that's
- 37:08Speaker 3: my prayer request today. That's my accountability. I appreciate y'all. Also,
- 37:16Speaker 3: we will let you know that his hot radio is
- 37:18Speaker 3: a monitored and a reporting radio station. We will take
- 37:24Speaker 3: your submission. Go to our website, his hot nation dot com.
- 37:28Speaker 3: Fill out all the info. And also check out our
- 37:32Speaker 3: promo packages. You can advertise and get more exposure for
- 37:37Speaker 3: what you got going, your project. We got a couple
- 37:40Speaker 3: of promos running right now. We got some songs that
- 37:43Speaker 3: have been added to the new track of the week. So, amen.
- 37:49Speaker 3: We appreciate y'all. Now at this moment. Let's go to
- 38:01Speaker 3: the community and log in. By the way, our accountability,
- 38:06Speaker 3: our community. We even have a question for the episode,
- 38:10Speaker 3: but I don't go over the question on the podcast.
- 38:14Speaker 3: That is strictly for the community. So if you want
- 38:18Speaker 3: to answer the question, if you want to interact more,
- 38:22Speaker 3: log into the community and you can go over that.
- 38:26Speaker 3: All these exercises are to help us grow in our
- 38:31Speaker 3: relationship with God so the trivia challenge today let's see
- 38:40Speaker 3: if we can get zone 3 some competition the first
- 38:45Speaker 3: person to answer the question wins and becomes a trivia
- 38:52Speaker 3: champion instantly let's see if zone is able to stay
- 39:00Speaker 3: on the throne, or is he going to get knocked
- 39:02Speaker 3: off today? So head on over to the community, get
- 39:06Speaker 3: your fingers ready, and the question is, what explanation is
- 39:10Speaker 3: given for why people would ask why the Lord had
- 39:16Speaker 3: done such a thing to this great city? Let me
- 39:22Speaker 3: ask that again. What is the explanation given for why
- 39:26Speaker 3: people would ask why the Lord had done such a
- 39:33Speaker 3: thing in this great city? If you need to read
- 39:37Speaker 3: this chapter, I'm not going to tell you exactly where
- 39:41Speaker 3: it is, but read the chapter, the full chapter and
- 39:45Speaker 3: find the answer. But If you've been paying attention, it
- 39:51Speaker 3: should be an easy one. All right. Now our community
- 39:58Speaker 3: shout out. Once again, we had a great event. September 12th.
- 40:06Speaker 3: We went to Doolittle Park. We blessed the community. So
- 40:09Speaker 3: many children out there. Also, we have some other events
- 40:13Speaker 3: coming up. We have a glow night coming up. This
- 40:16Speaker 3: is going to be a youth night for this huge
- 40:20Speaker 3: event that's coming to town it's going to be awesome
- 40:25Speaker 3: uh actually i got to get more information about it
- 40:29Speaker 3: myself i've been talking to the people uh there's a
- 40:33Speaker 3: church that is doing an event i believe late october
- 40:37Speaker 3: i'm going to be working with the police department they
- 40:40Speaker 3: have a trunk or treat scheduled i have to get
- 40:44Speaker 3: information for that and also we're starting to plan for
- 40:48Speaker 3: our christmas this will be our fifth annual christmas event
- 40:53Speaker 3: this year community event so if y'all wanna bless the
- 40:59Speaker 3: community if y'all want to volunteer and be a part
- 41:03Speaker 3: of it or if you know of families that can
- 41:05Speaker 3: use some extra toys and some extra help this year
- 41:08Speaker 3: we're probably going to start our signups early this year
- 41:12Speaker 3: to get the word out So you can sign up
- 41:15Speaker 3: on our website, hishopnation.com or on the app, His Hop
- 41:19Speaker 3: Radio on all platforms. If you want to get signed
- 41:23Speaker 3: up there and also we'll be looking for artists to
- 41:26Speaker 3: come and minister on that day. We also want to
- 41:36Speaker 3: let you know that His Hop Nation is a 501c3,
- 41:39Speaker 3: a nonprofit organization that We opened up a Christian club
- 41:44Speaker 3: in 2012. We're looking to relaunch, reopen so that we
- 41:49Speaker 3: can be a blessing to reach our community. We also
- 41:52Speaker 3: have youth programs and classes that we want to put
- 41:56Speaker 3: out there. There's just so much we're doing and we
- 41:59Speaker 3: would like to do. But we're asking for support. We
- 42:05Speaker 3: do have to sustain it financially. $ 5, $ 2 a month
- 42:08Speaker 3: helps If you want to be a monthly supporter or
- 42:14Speaker 3: if you want to give on an annual basis, that's fine.
- 42:19Speaker 3: If you know of any grants or grant writers that
- 42:21Speaker 3: could help us help our organization, please send us, send
- 42:25Speaker 3: them our way. Once again, hishopnation.com or hishopradio on all platforms.
- 42:33Speaker 3: And you can also go to hishopnation.org and you can
- 42:38Speaker 3: be a blessing that way as well. And the great
- 42:44Speaker 3: thing about it is it is all tax deductible. You
- 42:47Speaker 3: can write it off on your taxes. It is a
- 42:51Speaker 3: blessing to be a blessing. All right, well, let's close
- 42:58Speaker 3: out with some final comments. Closing remarks. Amen. Jeremiah 22,
- 43:06Speaker 3: 6 through 10 is a warning against Taking God's blessing
- 43:12Speaker 3: for granted. Judah had been given something beautiful, but beauty
- 43:19Speaker 3: didn't protect them from judgment. Position didn't protect them. History
- 43:28Speaker 3: did not protect them. The throne of David did not
- 43:31Speaker 3: protect them. What mattered was whether they remained faithful to God.
- 43:39Speaker 3: That's the challenge for us today, right? Don't let God's
- 43:42Speaker 3: blessing become substitutes for his presence. Now we can use
- 43:51Speaker 3: what God has given to us. We can enjoy what
- 43:54Speaker 3: God has blessed us with. Build with what God gives you,
- 44:00Speaker 3: but never worship the blessing. Worship the one who gave it. Amen.
- 44:06Speaker 8: Amen.
- 44:10Speaker 3: So that's it for today's episode. Thank you for tuning
- 44:14Speaker 3: in to the His Heart Radio podcast. This is verse
- 44:18Speaker 3: by verse. Jeremiah 22, verse 6 through 10 reminds us
- 44:23Speaker 3: that God takes covenant seriously. Leadership carries responsibility and rebellion
- 44:33Speaker 3: has consequences. It reminds us that anything can become an
- 44:41Speaker 3: idol when we allow it to take God's place. So, beloved,
- 44:47Speaker 3: let's check our hearts, check our priorities, check our platform,
- 44:52Speaker 3: check our relationships, check our ambitions. Ask ourselves, is God
- 45:00Speaker 3: still first? Amen. That's a T-shirt right there. If the
- 45:11Speaker 3: answer is yes, then keep him first. If the answer
- 45:14Speaker 3: is no, don't run from him. Come back to him.
- 45:23Speaker 3: This is your brother, Mr. His Hop. You can find
- 45:26Speaker 3: me on all social media platforms, Mr. His Hop. Also,
- 45:31Speaker 3: we want to let you know that we do have
- 45:33Speaker 3: a YouTube version of this podcast. Go to YouTube. type
- 45:40Speaker 3: in His Hop Radio or His Hop Nation, like, subscribe
- 45:44Speaker 3: the page. We need support on our YouTube. We stream

- 45:56Speaker 3: We need more subscribers. We're kind of lonely on that front.
- 46:00Speaker 3: So we need more subscribers and more supporters. Don't forget
- 46:05Speaker 3: to log into the live chat and remember, It's not
- 46:08Speaker 3: about us. It's all about the Christ in us. God bless.
- 46:29Speaker 4: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 46:32Speaker 4: is the His Hop Radio Show.
