Our guest is an international speaker, intuitive mentor, and subconscious mindset expert who helps high-achieving leaders unlock the life they're destined for. Glovisor welcomes Melissa Marina. Hi, Melissa. MelissaMarina.com: Hi, thank you so much for having me. I'm really excited to be part of this conversation today. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: You're welcome. Looking forward to it. All right, Melissa. So let's start it off. Tell us a little bit more. Who do you help and what is it that you do? MelissaMarina.com: So I help the affluent, successful person who has achieved the accolades, they've achieved a great amount of success. They're no longer happy with their life. It's like they've outgrown a chapter. This new thing is emerging. They can't quite see where they're being pulled. They're clear that they've got a purpose, right? And they've made a good, a good living. They've got the home, the kids, the family. Everything looks right, but it like no longer fits, right? They've outgrown this. And sometimes Putting ourselves out there and starting again, it can be daunting, right? They feel like if they try, they could start over, they could be like a failure. People might see them flop, right? And they also have a mortgage and other responsibilities. There's people counting on them. I help them to decode what their dissatisfaction and their emptiness is trying to tell them and help them to redefine their next chapter in alignment with what they actually want, not what they've been taught, you know, from mentors, right? Or relationships, things that they've been sold that they should want. And it goes through sort of a life reinvention process that I call my destiny alignment blueprint. So we basically strip away all of the lies that you're carrying, everything that you thought you had to be to be successful, to get love, to get into a relationship, and any of those distortions or masks, right, that limit what you can create when it comes to redefining life on your terms and also creating the most prosperous, fulfilling chapter in a way that actually like gets you out of bed every day where you're just like so excited to get to it and it's no longer a life that you have to escape from or vacation from. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: That sounds like it would take a lifetime to go through all of that. So if yeah, MelissaMarina.com: It it can be. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: I guess so. So now tell me a little bit more about that. Yeah, I'm having some issues. I especially, you know what really baffles me the most is those individuals that really don't know what they want or need. So how MelissaMarina.com: Mm-hmm. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: do you decipher that? How do you help them clarify that for them? MelissaMarina.com: Yeah, so a lot of people get stuck with the the concept that it should take a lot of time, right? We think that this level of transformation, if we're doing like a makeover on our life, on our business, our career, right, we think that that takes a lot of time. And if you use certain things like traditional talk therapy, right, or the slow way. For sure it will. my clients typically describe my my gifts and my program sort of like an ayahuasca level rebirth, right? Without the plant medicine, we don't need to go to the Amazon to, you know, kumbayang in the jungle, but it is that level of rapid acceleration, rapid transformation that can actually nip our deepest core patterns, our most limiting beliefs, the things that we just like can't seem to get past away in forty-five minutes or less. And this is where things become really fun because every soul has a unique blueprint, a purpose, and a way that you're destined to succeed. It's like your soul has its own job description. And when we try to fit ourselves into other people's job descriptions or something, it can work for a while, but then we get to like this inevitable plateau where it's just like, my God, this again? Like I'm still not fulfilled. I'm still kind of empty. I'm still seeking the next Amazon purchase or the next vacation home to try and make me feel something, but I don't actually feel like I'm just in my joy, in my happiness, or like excited to get out of bed every day. And what we do is we take a look at all of the things that you've been trying to force yourself into being. This is where a lot of burnout comes in high achievers, because it takes a lot of energy to play a facade, to be someone you're not, to expend your energy trying to force yourself to do something that you don't actually want to do anymore. And once we care once we clear away all of the heaviness and all of the the lies and the past patterns and past commitments you've made Then we actually return to who you were underneath it all. And people kind of describe it as a my God, of course that's my purpose. Of course that's my next chapter. That that makes so much sense because it's not actually foreign. It's just so deeply buried under all the performance that you can't access it. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: is there something that you can share with us that would allow us to know whether we're living in the good versus the great? once we're there and we recognize it, maybe we can make a different choice and live in the great. MelissaMarina.com: the funny thing, and we were talking about this just before we hopped on a little bit about, you know, l moments in life where people start to drift, right? They hit a certain number or they get close to that thing that they've been working for, and then what happens? Their foot kind of just goes off the brake, right? And unfortunately for us, our you know, our subconscious mind, which is it's very primitive, its job is to keep us safe, it's to protect us from harm, to keep us alive. This is why cavemen learned not to eat the poisonous mushroom after they saw, right, like the person. Who who was the first one to learn that that's not a great idea and we start to make things important, right? But the problem is it's wired for familiarity. It repeats what it's known because that's how we know how to move around. We know how to stop at a stoplight instead of just plowing through. When it comes to making changes in our life, it can feel a little bit uncomfortable because it actually contradicts our wiring of like what got us here. But what gets you here will not get you to your next level, right? And this is where a lot of people they spend years again, kind of just going coasting, like life's pretty good, right? But they're not actually in their zone of excellence. And we sometimes also have sort of a thermostat setting, it's like an upper limit problem for how much love, how much success, how much happiness we have decided that we're worthy of, or what is familiar to us. I might have a happiness thermometer, right? Based on my life and how I've seen my parents grow up, if they were happy people or not, I can, you know, have let's say like a zero to ten setting, right? And I will live myself at this limit. If I create experiences beyond that, like a peak performance experience or somewhere where I'm just in my zone of genius, good luck is happening. Sometimes we can find ways to bring ourselves down to the familiar setting if we don't know what to look for and remove when it comes to our own mindset. Or the underlying rules about why that makes us belong to our tribe or other people who are also a little bit limited. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Well, that's interesting. Could it be someone out there right now be thinking I'm too smart for the tribe that I'm with and maybe I should slow down in my success or slow down in the way that I speak or just to fit in for where I am. MelissaMarina.com: We see this so much. Like our number one most fundamental underlying need, besides oxygen, right, and water, is the need to belong. Everything that we do unconsciously, it's the sports car that you drive because you want to look sexy for the girl, right? It's the way that you try to wear certain kinds of clothes, it's the way that you maybe even join a coaching program or mastermind because they're living their life and you think they're really cool and you want to be like that. Sometimes it can also take us away from our goals because we think that if we get too successful, too rich, too sexy, then something's gonna fall away. We're not gonna resonate with them. And we can unconsciously keep ourselves stuck. And what I would say is, you know, being aware that maybe the old friend circle or the old business group has outgrown you. Sorry, not outgrown you. You've outgrown them is is part of the problem, right? It's half of the problem. But then we need to make a choice to either seek people who are on a growth trajectory Because it's the sum of who we spend our time with, right? We're the average of about the five people that we hang out with. And if people are not congruent or they are constantly doubting our bigger goals, we're gonna keep playing small. We're gonna just, you know, silence ourselves. We're gonna swallow the cool ideas that we wanna share. And sometimes we need people who are also aligned on a growth trajectory in order to be able to hit those next levels because they start to normalize it. You surround yourself in a room where you don't quite yet, you know, maybe. hit that level of success and you start to see all these people, you know, where you want to be and it suddenly becomes normalized, right? And this is where the fastest growth can happen, but we do need to be able to surrender people that are just not willing to go where you're at. one of the biggest things I say to myself and my coaching clients all the time is we never take advice from someone who's not living the life that we want. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: that's a good point. Now I I think one of the things that I've heard multiple times is if you're comfortable in the room that you're in, you're in the wrong room. MelissaMarina.com: Yeah, you're in you're probably doing a familiar thing of take like the eldest daughter syndrome, right? So she's eldest daughter is responsible for all the people around her, right? So it's a very familiar place to be the one who's the smartest. Our ego loves that. We feel like we're being valuable, but we're limiting our own growth by being the one who's the smartest person in the room, versus knowing when to contribute to people to help raise them up, versus also allowing ourselves to be stretched with other people who make it look easy and maybe even shine a light on the places that we are. Splaying small. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Now you just mentioned birth order. Earlier you talked about the soul. So it seems like there are many different elements within your process. how do you decipher all of this and how how do you put it all together to help someone? MelissaMarina.com: It's a very custom process. so I'm an intuitive channel, I'm clairvoyant, clair audient, I can see things that people have never spoken out loud, right? I always work with permission. I'm not reading people just for fun on the street. It's in sessions where they've consented to open up and have things illuminated. And I can piece together the time where you started a people pleasing pattern, right? Where the nice guy pattern emerged. S maybe it started early off in your childhood. You realize that in order to Keep your mom, you know, from crying because dad was stressful. You always had to appease her. Sometimes it can originate way down in the ancestry and it didn't even begin with you. It wasn't even your pattern. It's just something that you inherited because you grew up around people who were operating a certain way. So it's very bespoke work, but it basically comes down to a an understanding that we have our own patterns, things that, you know, I have my gifts and I also have my limitations, right? Then there's other things that I'm carrying that are actually not part of who I am, that I've sort of unconsciously inherited. Things like, say, my great-grandmother's pattern with men, right? This wasn't actually something that is my own doing. This is something that was epigenetically, you know, like it was, how do I word this? I'm trying to use everyday language. There was a pattern that stores in the DNA when the subconscious notices there's a threat. And what our body does is it crystallizes this information and we can also pass it through to our children. And if we're not aware of it, this is why we can see certain family line cycles and the drama loops happen over and over and over again. But many people right now who are being born are these kinds of cycle breakers. They kind of disrupt the family status quo. They're the ones that think differently. They may be the black sheep in the family. These are the people that I help work with because they're here to actually put a stop to the stuff that's been going in circles for eons. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: okay, so that black sheep in the family might be the one who's just putting an end to that process. MelissaMarina.com: They're the ones that are the questioners. They're like, why do we always talk about money this way? Why, you know, why is it that work has to be so stressful? And it's also why people go into business for themselves. A lot of entrepreneurs are the curious ones, the ones who have like maybe the ADHD kind of traits where we're a little high strung, but we're constantly like not following the rules because we're like, no, that's there's a better way. That's the that's the gift of entrepreneurship and innovation, right? So it's typically those change makers. Whether you're breaking cycles or you're just somebody who sees a better tomorrow or faster ways of doing things, these are the people I love to serve. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Now you talked about your gifts earlier, and I want to know a little bit more about that. And when did you recognize that you had those gifts? MelissaMarina.com: I've had these gifts all my life and there's been moments where in my childhood I can just clearly think back to moments where I've like been able to see things and just know things that I had no business knowing. I didn't have words for them at this time and unfortunately with the school system and just covering it up, it kind of went away for a long period. Then I came into in twenty nineteen I had a a big life shattering. I fled domestic violence. I went through a life-altering moment of leaving behind my family belongings, my home, a board-level position, like everything was just upside down. And they started coming back. And I started receiving these pieces of guidance and just hearing things that would set me up with knowing exactly what conversation to have in each next moment. I knew it wasn't coming from me. There was moments where I was driving home gosh, on Christmas morning to visit our in-laws. And I heard check your daughter's seatbelt. And I look back, and my 10-year-old who always wears her seatbelt, just forgot to wear it. We were in the middle of the highway going 120. And certain things like that just happened more and more and more. And the funny thing is it's kind of like giving a baby these like abilities, like giving them a remote without any instruction. So I I went through a deep process of trying to figure out what this all meant, why it was happening, and how to use them. and thankfully, after a lot of training, a lot of investing in myself, and a lot of mentorship, we've gotten to a place where there's a spiritual mastery of being able to communicate with both worlds and knowing exactly how to ground it into everyday language. And that's typically where a lot of healers they have this love and light, follow your heart, and we can actually ground it into real life. Okay, no, you need to set a boundary with your mom, mother in law and much more practical sort of lensing. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: you've had this your whole life. would you be able to share with us maybe a an example of someone that you've worked with in the past and and how this gift was able to help them? MelissaMarina.com: That's a great question. So one of my one of my VIPs in the Destiny program is a multiple time ClickFunnels award winner, TEDx speaker, very successful business owner. he makes a really big impact. And we were working on one of his income goals, which if it was basically around wanting to hit a hundred K per month in monthly recurring revenue or personal income. What was blocking him underneath? We thought it was, you know, some stuff to do on the business and the mindset and confidence. And what we take took a look underneath was that the romantic relationship that he was in was not congruent with who he needed to become to hit this next level of success. mind you, he's already achieved a great level of success. unfortunately the wife was not on board to support him. And she, from what I understand, had a she had a vested outcome of making him like less public, less visible, and she just didn't want him to rise to his full potential. So there was this constant battle between Please let me do what I need to do to provide for the family, versus I'm not accepted and I can expect fights and criticism and just unkind treatment if I'm going to give a keynote and help people. And what's really funny between a lot of people that I see in the coaching realm is these talented, really capable entrepreneurs, executives, and founders come to me for business problems, money mindset problems, like upper glass ceilings in terms of their revenue or output. But a lot of the time it goes back to that very belonging wound, right? Something bad will happen if I step into my full potential. If I make this much money, maybe I'll outgrow my friend group and I won't have anyone to hang out with anymore, right? Like these things that smart people, of course, they don't actively choose that. They they know it it's it's nonsense, but it's the underlying patterns that keep them like steering away from the goal just ever so slightly, where it's almost imperceptible. And the moment we took a look at some of those belonging wounds, meaning Something bad would happen on the relationship relationship side if I hit that next hundred K a month income goal. We were able to generate it was it was so funny. He texted me at his son's basketball game. He was like, Melissa, I think we like broke the universe or something. He was watching his son's basketball game. He had over $130,000 in deals just come in through texts, random things, random synchronicities, like he didn't launch anything new, he didn't put out a new program. It was literally just by taking those blocks out that tell us it's not safe. Or something bad will happen, or there will be a consequence, maybe more responsibility. By removing all those doubts and those unconscious fears, it actually allowed all of the existing opportunities that were already on his way that just couldn't quite reach him to actually land safe. And it was, yeah, it was phenomenal. It was within like six weeks of working together, it just blew up and he was having fun with his kid. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: you say remove these blocks, i how do you deliver your healing? MelissaMarina.com: we go through a process of what we call root cause transformation. So typically we'll take a look at the symptom, right? So let's just say there is somebody who has a symptom of never-ending scope creep, okay? I've worked with people who have had like these nightmare clients where they go to work with them and collaborate with them, and then the client just changes direction, wants more and wants this, and it's like way beyond the scope of the project, right? But it seems to be this this again, glass ceiling, this limit that just they cannot surpass. When we trace to what's underneath it, it is usually a mirror of what's happening in business or in your money based on who you're being or what you're tolerating. So in this case of the never ending skull creep, it's a people pleasing and boundaries issue. They also struggled with boundaries with family members. They also struggled with saying no and wanting to be everything to everyone, right? And not knowing when to just actually say, Hey, sorry, I'm not available to help you, or hey, sorry, I actually need to like pour into myself for a little bit before I can take on this next thing. And once we're able to take a look, what stories are reinforcing this, meaning I need to be the savior for everyone. I I'm only safe if everyone around me is doing good, therefore I have to fix their problems and their problems and their problems. These are all just examples, but there's typically a combination of trapped emotions, so stuckness in your body where you feel density, you might also have physical pain points there, recurring muscle tension or certain things like IBS, gut issues, right? Emotions can take the place or could take the shape of many different physical symptoms. Migraines are common for people who are classic overthinkers, right? So a lot of these physical things are traced to the emotions that you're feeling on an ongoing basis, which keeps you trapped at a sort of groundhog's day loop over and over again to match more of those same stress emotions. So once we remove the emotions, then we take a look at the underlying subconscious beliefs. So this is actually the limiting beliefs that are telling you that mm you need to choose something you don't want to because XYZ, right? Or some of those family line stories where you've taught to have a good work ethic, which means something that your dad taught you way back when that may actually not match who you need to be in leadership. And when we go back in time, we actually go back to the root cause, which is why it's so fast and effective. So a lot of healers, they might do some Reiki, they might make you feel good. It's kind of like a relaxing, you know, self-care day, kind of like a massage, right? You feel really good right after, but then you go back to the same sabotage, the same cycles, the same taking yourself out, the same distractions instead of actually doing the thing you know you need to do that scares the shit out of you, right? Because they haven't actually pulled it off by the root or like the weed. And what I'll do is I'll go back in time to the very first moment that occurred where that pattern started and to yank up the entire weed and to rewrite it in alignment with your future self or who you would be and how you would think if you already had that goal achieved. So it's the fastest way to kind of collapse time to hit those next level goals because again, we're replacing it with the wiring of who your future self is that already knows how to act accordingly, that already knows how to hit the income goal. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: are you delivering this online or does it have to be in person? MelissaMarina.com: No, it's fully virtual. So I have clients in Australia, Nigeria, Berlin, all over for some reason I'm in I'm can I'm in Canada. All of money of my clients are in the States. For some people, Californians just love to work with me. I don't know if there's like a coincidence or not, but it's fully virtual. So quantum healing, it is through pure energy, right? And I could tap into your energy field from where you're sitting with your permission, Joe. The distance doesn't matter. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Please. when you say with permission, okay, so can you explain to us to what extent can you read me right now? What would you be MelissaMarina.com: Mm-hmm. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: able to do? MelissaMarina.com: So what I would do is I would basically proxy your body, right? So if I were to come into your energy field, okay, and we could use this as an example. If there's like a theme or something you want some guidance on, we could it might be actually easier to do sort of a if you're good being a guinea pig for that, that would be amazing. Okay. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Sure. MelissaMarina.com: What's the number one thing that you're struggling with right now that if we could just like eliminate that for you would totally rock your world? Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: I would say choosing the right path. When MelissaMarina.com: Okay. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: it would you like to be more specific? MelissaMarina.com: Yeah, give me an give me an a rundown of how that looks or what the like how what does your mind do when you're in between choices? How do you usually make Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Hmm. So MelissaMarina.com: your decisions? Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: I have a lot of opportunities offered on an ongoing basis. And MelissaMarina.com: Mm. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: that's one of the things that I think that sometimes I need some clarity to make the best choice for me. MelissaMarina.com: Perfect. Okay. How how dialed in are you to your body? Like do you feel like you're someone that's like quite connected to your body? Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: I feel like I am. MelissaMarina.com: Yeah? Okay. Ask your body to show me what a soul yes looks like. Okay. We're gonna just connect you to the most direct path to access your intuition. Okay. Show me yes, yes, yes. Just ask your yes, yes, yes, yes. For me I I go like this. My body, my shoulders raise. I almost want to lean forward out of my chair. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Yes, so I inhaled and just my chest just expanded. Yes. MelissaMarina.com: Yeah. It's like a hard opening and it's it does it feel light or heavy? Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: feels light. That would be a yes. MelissaMarina.com: Okay. Perfect. Now show me no no no no no no no. What does your body do? Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: I think it's like down, like my shoulders go down and I kind of sunk MelissaMarina.com: Beautiful. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: in. MelissaMarina.com: Yes. So now you're actually tapped into the fastest way to access your soul's truth or like your higher intelligence. It's called through muscle testing. They use this in applied kinesiology. So practitioners actually use the heavy versus light to to know what nutritional deficiencies you have. Like if you need more magnesium, they could use this muscle testing. Okay. So the no no no no for me also feels like dead weight. It's like in my womb I'm pulling myself back. It's like I want to sink into my chair. So I like to use a combination of three questions. This is after you've done the logical work, right? So I'm a big believer of data. I don't mean bypassing that. The more info we have, the better, right? We'd want to take a look at those cold hard facts too. Does it practically make sense to my business? Does it make sense to my contextual goals? When you're once those things have checked out, this is where the intuition is like that final green light that will tell you where you receive a business opportunity. It's like Best thing you've ever experienced, but the person doesn't feel quite right. There's something about them you don't like. It feels kind of shady, right? But like everything on paper looks good. This is moments where you want to use this. What we'll ask is a combination. So truth, if I choose this opportunity, will this create more for me? More joy, more money, more ease, more fulfillment, more clients, more visibility. Okay. And your body will give you a yes versus no. Okay. Then what we'll say is, if I choose this. Will this lead to a future I'm happy with? Meaning if I l like invest in this, this is gonna lead it's like the butterfly effect, right? Sometimes we wanna check the long term implications of committing to a certain project. And this is great where we can keep ourselves on track for, say, the mountain, like the big overarching goal. Cause you might have things that like tempt you in the short term that actually take you away from your mountain that you want to climb, you know? Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: So interesting because right there I'm gonna say that the first question I feel like I expanded and the second question I feel because I chose one option to think about, to focus on. MelissaMarina.com: Mm-hmm. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: And then I feel that during the second question, I feel like I kind of sunk in a little bit. MelissaMarina.com: Okay, perfect. Can you ask, is it a distraction? Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Yes. MelissaMarina.com: Okay. So it's something that feels good in the moment and it maybe makes sense to our like and I'm not saying you're egotistical, we all have an ego, but it makes sense to our ego, right? That part of our brain that's like, yeah, feels like great idea. But perhaps it derails a little bit from the long term of where you're actually destined to go or what you've what you've written in for your long term goal. Okay. One other example for the muscle testing is they've used this in are you familiar with Ten X is easier than two X, that book? Okay, so Dr. So it's Dan Sullivan and Dr. Benjamin Hardy, they have written this amazing book called 10x is easier than 2x and it basically says that most people are playing at 2x, right? We want to double your income, but so many people are competing for average returns, but no one's actually competing at the top. If I wanted to 10x my business tomorrow or next year, hardly any people are playing that up. So it's actually easier because, well, there's not that many paths that would allow that, right? Versus if I wanted to double my business in a year, there's like Three million paths I could probably take. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Yes. MelissaMarina.com: So what we want to take a look at is with your mountain, the thing that is your overarching long-term goal, the thing that you like really want to accomplish. We watched this yesterday. I went to my daughter's school. we were watching the the space launch, the the astronaut mission that was happening. And I had a moment where I got teary because I'm like, this is what they've been training for their whole life. Like this is their pinnacle moment, right? Like that's the mountain. And it made me so emotional to see like people who have worked so hard and face so many, you know, fing obstacles. Like that must be so hard to just to be counting down in the spaceship. Like that's so cool to me. That's what I love to do. So the equivalent of your lift off, right? What is that mountain for you? And what they studied is there was this team, they were doing like dragon boating or some sort of like rowing, and they could never, ever, ever win. Right? They kept going to the championships, but they just were not like operating at this level. And what they finally did is they set out an experiment to do one thing for the season only, and it's ask for every single decision, does it make the boat go faster? Meaning, if I go to the bar tonight, does it make the boat go faster? Right? If I say no to the workout, does it make the boat go faster? And without any other, you know, guidance, any other leadership, all they kept doing is just asking in each moment, does it make the boat go faster? Which was their mount their mountain. They were able to like get first place on the next, you know, like just achieve the impossible. It was something quite profound. Like they were able to go to the world championships. And so these are another thing. Does that make your boat go faster, right? Does it does it lead you closer to where you actually want to go? Not just what is the safe good bet, because that's the difference between good and great. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: And is that what we're doing? We're trying to just follow that expansion and s sinking in to sort of answer those questions for you. And MelissaMarina.com: Exactly. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: and in the meantime, are are you able to read me? How does that work? MelissaMarina.com: Mm-hmm. Would you like would you like guidance on something? Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Please. MelissaMarina.com: Okay. Do you have a specific question? So I'll just open up your soul's records if that's okay. We'll just call in your higher self. Any guides, angels, loved ones, if that's what you believe. any any other help us on the other side? Go ahead. Let me what would you love what would you love guidance on? Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: That's a question. So let's go with the same theme. What is holding me back from getting to the next level? MelissaMarina.com: It's actually defining yourself. defining yourself as successful and worthy at that level and then also defining what the heck you want. There's a lot of freedom that you have, and I think you've mentioned also with your kids, so it may be tied to that being them being in college. There's this freedom, right, to like live your life. And Hmm, what is it? It's freedom to decide what you want without defining any any limitations. So if this next chapter could be truly limitless. Right. And if we didn't actually have any preconceived notions about what you've been able to achieve in the stretches that you've had so far, this next sprint it's almost like it's gonna defy what you've been able to achieve over the last five years, the last ten years, or any other like seasons you've dealt with. Do you want to go a little bit deeper? Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Please. Yes, definitely. I would love to to understand it. And then if is it okay if I stop for questions along the way or? Okay. So MelissaMarina.com: Sure, please do. The I work best is sort of like a translator, so it's almost like playing tennis. So I'll just like pass you the answer and then you can go deeper and ask any quare clarifying questions. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Okay. No, no, but also for for guests or people who are listeners also, MelissaMarina.com: Yeah. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: do people ask you for things that would give them a confirmation that that you're going in the right direction? For instance, I I think that if if I guess I'm not saying that there are some people who are not going to be believers in the beginning until they MelissaMarina.com: Absolutely. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: connect. So is do people ask for confirmation of some sort? MelissaMarina.com: Yeah, so here's the thing about confirmation, right? Absolutely. Can we ask for the universe for a sign like the, you know, the angel numbers or a feather or something to confirm that we're on the right track? Absolutely, Ken. But the funny thing about our soul's journey, and this is where my rule breaker tendencies come in, is that we are sovereign beings, and our only authority about whether we are on track or not is what we actually want. So my great aunt Mary, who's on the other side, she might be my, you know. Angel, she might be my spear guide, she may have some great advice for me. But the only person that is responsible for the outcomes is actually what do I want? And is that congruent for what I am calling in? Right? So where we need a lot of clarity is about actually getting crystal clear about where we're heading because we end up coasting. It's kind of like going on a sailboat. If you don't have a destination, you can end off. They've actually studied this too on airplanes. If you don't, if your compass isn't calibrated and you veer off like even just three degrees. You'll end up in like a different country. It's insane. Right. So I've worked with a lot of people who have religious backgrounds. I've worked with people who actively like their religion says that anything like psychic or intuitive is, you know, it's it's not like it's the devil, it's not that. But we actually come back to bringing it into their own wisdom, meaning stuff that resonates with their soul. And the funny thing happens around truth. It's like a puzzle piece that just fits in. There's no questioning it. It kind of just lands. It kind of just hits. It kind of just stings a little bit. But it's like that truth that there's no arguing. It just feels like that last missing piece. That's when you know it's in alignment. It's usually those goosebumps you get or the thing where they're like, yeah, of course I didn't think about that. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Sure. Now you you did ask me, can I go further or deeper, I think is what you asked. what does that mean? Where where does that where are we going from there? MelissaMarina.com: So in order to get the best guidance, it's important to formulate the question with hyper specificity, meaning, I'm considering path X or path Y. I've been struggling with X health symptom. I've been considering selling my house and going there, right? So the more context will allow this. And then also instead of asking things like what should I do? Because a should is subjective, what choice could I make here that will create the most cash flow. What choice could I make here that will increase my relationship satisfaction? So you kinda also want to define what your it's like it's like a prompt, actually. It's like a good AI prompt. You want to define what you want in return so that we can get the guidance to actually match your expectation or the small nuances that give you a really good a really good piece of truth to follow. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: I guess what I'm hoping for is for the runway to light up in the direction that I should go. MelissaMarina.com: Mm-hmm. And have you defined your endgame? Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: And that's the thing. I feel that since I have so many opportunities, which direction do I take? Do I take the 10x using that example? if all of the options are 2xs, there are a couple that are 10x's and MelissaMarina.com: Yeah. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: I feel that I can play at the 10x because I I have more opportunities now. I do have a lot more freedom to do MelissaMarina.com: Mm-hmm. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: that 10x. But then you think in your mind, I know that I kind of have to build on it with the 2x, should I do that instead? MelissaMarina.com: Mm-mm. What I love to phrase is if time, money, existing responsibilities and commitments weren't a thing, what is the thing where you look back on the end of your life and you're like, damn, I freaking did it? Like the thing that like is a little bit scary, right? The thing at where we're on our deathbed, we're like, whoa, I really went for it. Right? And usually there's things that are like 90% good and comfortable, and then there's that one thing that like scares the living shit out of you for lack of a better word. Right. So this is the thing that I always recommend playing with. And then from there, it depends on what it's like plugging in a GPS. You sometimes have the fast way, like you can take the highway. Some people prefer the scenic route. There's people I work with that are like, I don't want a lot of stress, I don't want a lot of intensity. Just give me the gentle way to get there so I can have a lot of fun along the way. Other people are like, I want that goal tomorrow, right? Or yesterday. Give me the fast way and I don't care if it stings, it's gonna hurt a little bit, we're gonna get there super fast. So What what do you value? Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: I would say I'll take the sting. MelissaMarina.com: Yeah, okay. So I would say, if you bring in that like big audacious goal that scares you a little bit, the thing that actually requires you to be vulnerable enough to face the potential of disappointment if you didn't get it, what is the fastest way to write, make a step there? Or what is the fastest way or who do I need to speak with? Do you have a specific thing in mind? It works better if you have an actual scenario for me. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: yes, I would I would say that is it monetarily or is it is it actual MelissaMarina.com: Nothing wrong with that. It's money is a very spiritual thing. So even if you have an income goal, that's great. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: So I've always had the dream of the million dollars a month. That's been my goal. MelissaMarina.com: Okay. Okay. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: And as I headed towards that direction, I start heading that way and it starts to work and I'm happy with it. And then it kind of just resets again. MelissaMarina.com: Hmm, okay. So are you hitting your own glass ceiling there? There's an upper limit on how much you can receive before taking yourself out, I'm hearing. So what does taking yourself out look like? Does it involve distractions, procrastination? Like what does that look like specifically if you don't mind sharing? Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: I feel like challenges just come up and then you're you're you're back to it. So it's it's like it's going in the right direction and then something will happen, it's major, and it'll slow me back down again. And it'll okay, I gotta reset again. Let's let's start to work towards it again. And then it's it's it's a lot of work, man. It's going well, and then we'll have to reset again. MelissaMarina.com: Mm. Mm. Okay, got it. So is there something that comes to take up like wipe out the profit? Or wipe out when you say reset, it's almost like you're back to zero. Is that what Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: let's just say you get to a certain level and you're there at MelissaMarina.com: Yeah. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: that level and you're happy and it's like, okay, well now we're going. The machine's going in that direction. That's great. And then something major will happen. And then you're like, okay, well, you know, I didn't reach that number, but we're gonna, you know, go for it again next month. And then next month comes around and it starts to go in that direction again, but then s another challenge comes and slows you down again, and then it's kind of like a replay. MelissaMarina.com: Mm, got it. Okay. Would you say that it's like cyclical or like a loop? Like it happens over and over again and it's the same kind of story you're telling yourself? Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Yes. MelissaMarina.com: Got it. Okay, so right now what's running is a karmic cycle. And so karmic cycles have been in motion over and over and over again. So there's something that needs to be done differently to actually like algorithm interrupt it. One method is clearing, right? That's the stuff that we do. but Whether you choose to clear or not, you can also do something that is completely unexpected to almost break the loop because the energy is repeating the same thing over again. Right? So in those moments, how do you typically show up when the challenge comes in? Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: It's it's I wanna fight and I wanna continue, but in MelissaMarina.com: Mm-hmm. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: the back of my mind it's always like, here it is again. We're back to that level again, we're having this issue. MelissaMarina.com: Got it. And does that confirm any suspicions you have about yourself? Like what does it mean about you to hit that? What's the story that you have underneath that? Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: I think maybe to to the point like maybe I it sounds like a good number to hit, but it's feels like it's not like something I'm going to hit. MelissaMarina.com: Do you have any beliefs running out maybe I'm asking for too much then? Maybe I should just settle? Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: there are times where you're like, well, maybe that's just maybe that's just way too much and I should be sort of because if it stays at lower at the regular numbers where I am at the two X level, as you say, using that example, then it feels like, well, yeah, it's still better than those. But maybe I should be happy with that. MelissaMarina.com: So I would look at all the times in your life where somebody has told you that you're asking for too much. What you wanted is too much. You should just settle. You're being selfish. You're being right. Or even times as a kid where what you wanted, maybe your parents couldn't always meet your needs, right? Or they had their own limitations. and certainly they probably had certain things that they wanted to parent with rights to not raise kids that, you know, are spoiled, right? So there were times where what you had asked for was not met. And it created a positive reinforcement loop of, I should just lower. Which is fine in terms of relationships and creating grounded kids, right? But when it comes to business, we actually want to clear anywhere there's a relativity assigned. So if I were to take a look at the like the back end of the subconscious, is one, anywhere you've deemed this like above you, too much, right? Unlikely, we would want to collapse all that meaning. The other piece is anywhere you've made this a big relative number, meaning, let's take a hundred dollars, right? For somebody who is For somebody, this is gonna for somebody who's on the streets, right? A homeless person might say a hundred dollars is like that would that would give them a night's shelter, that would give them a lot of food, that would give them right, that that's a big amount for them. For somebody who makes multi-millions, that's an insignificant amount. And what we can do is we can actually collapse the time it takes to reach your goal by collapsing anywhere we've assigned, it's a big relative thing to do. What if it was just insignificant? What if because you've already learned how to get to this point in business, each level up is easier than the one before? Because you know how it's like the growth hustle era in the beginning and then it kind of becomes more stable. So what if you're now equipped for these bigger jumps to actually be faster and more inevitable? So there's a little bit of rewiring there, but I would say anywhere you've decided to like back away from what you wanted, out of fear of it being too much or unrealistic or unreasonable, this would be the first thing that would need to get out of the way because it's gonna keep mirroring back the same doubt you have. Which is where you take yourself out and you're like, okay, well, I'll settle for 70% or I'll try again. But it's not I don't actually feel the conviction behind you of I'm gonna get it. I don't care what it takes. It's that like potency where it's almost like that final piece before it starts to to arrive. Right now it's a mirror for the doubt where you betray yourself by actually sliding down away from the desire. Does that make sense? Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Mm-hmm, it does. It does. Now, are you able to see something that I can't? MelissaMarina.com: d in how? So do you mean in terms of like how I track on the intuitive side? Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Yes. You're like you 'cause you said you're able to sort of see within, i i I guess within us. So is there something that I'm missing that you can see that I can't? MelissaMarina.com: When you're this is so interesting, okay. Taking a step back, I wanna take a look at all of the ways that you've made money or hit your targets in the past, okay? If we look at like where eighty percent of like the revenue or success has come. Does it come from a place how do I want to ask this? There's like a missing fun factor. Okay, so from the times you've made the most money with the least amount of effort, from all times in your past, how were you being? I don't necessarily mean like the mechanism of making money, like what product you sold. Were you in the flow? Were you fun? Were you what were you being? Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Yeah, I was I was enjoying the process of MelissaMarina.com: Okay. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: of working and making money. MelissaMarina.com: Yeah. So there's something where it's like and if each moment gets so good, you don't even care about the goal that much because you're so fulfilled in the work you do. This is one piece to like recreate it because it's gonna accelerate that happening, since it no longer becomes about getting there until I can enjoy myself. So one thing to keep in mind is yeah, in your soul's growth is showing like a activate the fun factor, right? Amp up the enjoyment of it. Because then it makes that that million dollar mark less juicy. It just makes it like, okay, great, I'm working towards this, but I'm good now. And then I would take a look at anywhere you're like trying to experiment or start over a brand new, this feels like a sabotage thing, like a shiny red dress of let's just like reinvent the entire wheel versus what re-recreating what works. And then taking a look at what 20% of actions could I take to create 80% of more of my income, right? So that's that that Pareto principle. If we can zone in on laser focusing there, amping up the enjoyment factor, and then also having that like fiery conviction of. An obstacle comes up, so what? How is this the biggest blessing ever? How is this a gain? How is this how is this obstacle that is a perceived threat actually gonna accelerate me forward? I'm happy this is happening because I'm getting feedback about how to do something better. And so rather than seeing it as something that backtracks you, I want you to actually lean into each obstacle and use this feedback as something to like do it better or refine it that actually slingshots you forward. It's like the obstacle isn't the end point, it's the illusion. I don't know how to word that, but it's I'm seeing it as actually an accelerator if you can lean in. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: And when you say lean in, you mean just accept it? MelissaMarina.com: Not necessarily accept it, but if you had to overcome this obstacle so that it was never a thing again, what missing piece are of information do you have? So there's a missing piece about the way that you're doing your business that once you have this ingredient will actually like accelerate you through the next obstacles and it doesn't actually step you back anymore. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: yeah, thank you for the example and the process. So this is how you work with clients? MelissaMarina.com: Yes, my pleasure. it's it's always hard to describe the invisible, so I appreciate you yeah being willing to you know, be the example there because it's a lot easier to see it in action. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Sure. no, this is great. I love it. because you know, you you get to see it in action and you get to understand it a little bit better. So I can't wait to see how I'm gonna edit this to make sure that it's great. MelissaMarina.com: Yeah. Awesome. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Now, all right, so so let's start from the beginning. So if someone wants to work with you today, what is the initial step and then what is we already saw sort of part of the process, but how does that work? MelissaMarina.com: So if anyone is interested, they, you know, they hear something that resonates and they're like, my gosh, I need help with this. your number one step is to to schedule an abundance acceleration goal.
