- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, what's going on? It's Romeo. What do we get
- 0:01Speaker 1: in Today? We talked with Michael Bean about relationships. We
- 0:04Speaker 1: also talked about some of your most embarrassing moments and
- 0:06Speaker 1: a little bit about Tony Romo.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Let's see what happened.
- 0:09Speaker 1: All right, So we're we're in the middle of summertime.
- 0:12Speaker 1: A lot of you guys are having pool parties. The
- 0:15Speaker 1: kids are having their friends over. You know, you guys
- 0:17Speaker 1: are having adult pool parties, getting pool parties, birthday parties.
- 0:21Speaker 1: You guys are having to get together barbecues with the pool.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Pool parties are notorious for things going wrong in the
- 0:29Speaker 1: sense of people getting into it because of the way
- 0:33Speaker 1: certain people dress. I went to a pool party on Saturday.
- 0:38Speaker 1: It was like a Saturday evening, Saturday evening into the
- 0:41Speaker 1: into the night.
- 0:42Speaker 2: You know. It was a barbecue. It was so you know,
- 0:46Speaker 2: like any barbecue.
- 0:48Speaker 1: You know, you start off with all the with all
- 0:50Speaker 1: the moms, I mean all the grandma's and the kids
- 0:52Speaker 1: and everything. You know, so it as it gets later,
- 0:55Speaker 1: you know, it gets a little bit more adult.
- 0:57Speaker 2: You know, things like that.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Well, pool parties are a little bit different because the
- 1:02Speaker 1: kids are going to be hanging out all night, especially.
- 1:04Speaker 2: If it's a family pool party.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Now, let me ask you a question, who's the most
- 1:08Speaker 1: annoying person that comes.
- 1:09Speaker 2: To your pool party and what do they do.
- 1:12Speaker 1: I do not own a pool, so I do not
- 1:14Speaker 1: have pool parties, but I've gone to a few. I
- 1:16Speaker 1: went to one on Saturday night, and I can tell
- 1:19Speaker 1: you a couple annoying things that I know the homeowners
- 1:22Speaker 1: were upset about and the rest of the family was
- 1:25Speaker 1: upset about, you know, especially since there were kids around.
- 1:29Speaker 1: But that's always the argument, right, if you're having a
- 1:32Speaker 1: pool party and somebody wants to dress in a specific
- 1:36Speaker 1: manner that you consider inappropriate, is it really inappropriate? I mean,
- 1:42Speaker 1: there's a lot of girls out there that got the
- 1:44Speaker 1: body and like to show off damn near everything, barely
- 1:46Speaker 1: couple to barely cover their you know, private parts, you know.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Because they think they look good in the bikinis.
- 1:52Speaker 1: And maybe they do, but that's how they want to
- 1:54Speaker 1: dress and show themselves, and then they want to sit
- 1:56Speaker 1: there at this One girl at this pool party was
- 2:00Speaker 1: half naked, literally half naked, just taking glamour shots of
- 2:03Speaker 1: herself in the pool because well she had to show
- 2:06Speaker 1: everybody online. Now, lot of the aunts and uncles were
- 2:12Speaker 1: pretty upset about it.
- 2:13Speaker 2: A lot of the grandma's going what and the heck
- 2:15Speaker 2: is that woman doing? Right? What happened at your pool party?
- 2:20Speaker 1: You know, there's always that one inappropriate mom that's uh,
- 2:26Speaker 1: that inappropriate single mom who's always trying to show off
- 2:29Speaker 1: more than she should and act out because well she's
- 2:32Speaker 1: trying to steal your man.
- 2:33Speaker 2: That's the other thing. That was the other thing that
- 2:34Speaker 2: happened that was pretty funny. So this is.
- 2:39Speaker 1: For the most part, it was a function for my
- 2:44Speaker 1: buddy who's got his kid plays travel ball, right, and
- 2:49Speaker 1: so he's having a big pool party. Just invited me
- 2:51Speaker 1: over invited you know, the kids that play ball with him,
- 2:53Speaker 1: and the you know with this with his son and
- 2:56Speaker 1: the families. You know, those travel ball people spend a
- 2:58Speaker 1: lot of time together. I didn't realize they didn't when
- 3:01Speaker 1: I was a kid in sports, they didn't have travel ball,
- 3:05Speaker 1: so we I didn't realize how much time these people
- 3:08Speaker 1: spend together and they get kind of close. Well, this
- 3:14Speaker 1: is the first year that he's been a part of it.
- 3:17Speaker 1: And I don't know if this happens in every travel
- 3:20Speaker 1: ball team, but there's a single mom who's always trying
- 3:23Speaker 1: to take someone's husband, or always flirting too hard with
- 3:26Speaker 1: someone's husband, always trying to keep attention on them. Found
- 3:30Speaker 1: that out at the pool party. The single mom came
- 3:34Speaker 1: pretty I thought she was gonna get her ass beat
- 3:37Speaker 1: by the moms, by the other wives. I shouldn't say moms,
- 3:40Speaker 1: but by the wives, because the way she was flaunting
- 3:43Speaker 1: around in front of her husbands. And yeah, I thought
- 3:46Speaker 1: that was going to go down. Luckily that didn't happen.
- 3:49Speaker 1: She ended I don't know if somebody talked to her
- 3:50Speaker 1: or not, but she ended up covering up here.
- 3:52Speaker 2: About halfway through the party.
- 3:54Speaker 1: So one of the wives must have said something to her,
- 3:57Speaker 1: but I don't know what that was all about. But yeah,
- 3:59Speaker 1: she puts some cover ups on uh after a while,
- 4:02Speaker 1: which I thought was kind of funny.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Woul did you pay attention?
- 4:05Speaker 1: So yeah, pool parties, man, they always get out of hand.
- 4:08Speaker 1: There's always someone annoying at the pool party. There's always
- 4:11Speaker 1: somebody doing something, doing something, doing something. There's always somebody
- 4:15Speaker 1: trying to I remember as at a pool party one
- 4:17Speaker 1: time and the host of the pool party, her best
- 4:22Speaker 1: friend was trying to take her husband. Yeah, that was
- 4:29Speaker 1: that was. It was funny how that happened. Pools are
- 4:31Speaker 1: notorious for getting out of hand.
- 4:33Speaker 2: I don't know why. Pool party.
- 4:36Speaker 1: You can go to a barbecue have a great time,
- 4:38Speaker 1: but you throw a pool into it, and all of
- 4:40Speaker 1: a sudden you can have some real problems in your relationship.
- 4:44Speaker 2: So we're talking about pool parties for some reason.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Pool parties, man, they always get out of hand. Something
- 4:49Speaker 1: crazy always happens.
- 4:51Speaker 3: What's going on, Hey, Romeo, it's got on the radios
- 4:54Speaker 3: talking about at pool parties and hy.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Sleeve Yeah one girl, yeah or whatever.
- 5:01Speaker 3: I think they're's insecure about themselves. Like yeah, I understand
- 5:06Speaker 3: it the playing time, but like, come on, the poor
- 5:09Speaker 3: party you got you guys, bring off the bikinis.
- 5:12Speaker 4: And I didn't have to be you know, like I understand.
- 5:14Speaker 3: That's the time of places.
- 5:15Speaker 4: But I told my girl, if you want to drift
- 5:19Speaker 4: that way, go ahead, like I show your body.
- 5:22Speaker 3: I'm not gonna let im.
- 5:26Speaker 2: That's fine. I you know, I get it. I get it.
- 5:28Speaker 1: But you know, somebody when you got a full party
- 5:30Speaker 1: and that's a family function, and all of a sudden
- 5:33Speaker 1: that that cousin brings his girlfriend he dresses, who's dressed
- 5:36Speaker 1: like she's going to the strip club or should be
- 5:39Speaker 1: working a poll. Those grandmas and those antees, those DearS
- 5:41Speaker 1: get mad.
- 5:42Speaker 4: Bro, what are you gonna do? The older generation they
- 5:46Speaker 4: can't stand this generation.
- 5:48Speaker 5: You know.
- 5:49Speaker 3: But I can't say it is those single moms, those
- 5:52Speaker 3: single friends, those are the ones.
- 5:53Speaker 4: You gotta look out for.
- 5:54Speaker 1: They are the ones you gotta look out for. They
- 5:56Speaker 1: will snatch your husband up in a minute.
- 5:59Speaker 4: Yes, because I followed someone and there's a YouTuber and
- 6:02Speaker 4: then she she always.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Like always like putting it out there.
- 6:07Speaker 4: Yeah, but like she's married, you know. But like those friends,
- 6:11Speaker 4: you know you got. You gotta look out for those friends.
- 6:13Speaker 2: All right, thanks for calling. I mean he ain't lion man.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Your single friend will snatch up your husband the first
- 6:20Speaker 1: chance she gets, especially if he's a good looking man.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Yeah. So when it comes to pool parties, full parties
- 6:28Speaker 2: get all the hand.
- 6:29Speaker 1: I just saw a story last week about some attorney somewhere.
- 6:35Speaker 1: He might have been attorney for the Navy or an
- 6:37Speaker 1: attorney for a military one of the military forces. And
- 6:42Speaker 1: I don't know if you rented out his pool or
- 6:44Speaker 1: let his buddies bar his pool, but he might go
- 6:47Speaker 1: to jail now because at his house they had like
- 6:50Speaker 1: all these people, women getting naked, tworking disturbing the peace.
- 6:55Speaker 2: So this guy might end.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Up in uh might have end up in jail for
- 7:01Speaker 1: letting his buddies throw a pool party.
- 7:03Speaker 2: I don't know if he was there or not. I
- 7:04Speaker 2: didn't read the whole.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Story, but I don't and I don't even know how
- 7:07Speaker 1: you can end up in jail. You know about it,
- 7:10Speaker 1: but yeah, he might end up getting charges pressed against
- 7:12Speaker 1: him for this pool party. Pool parties get out of hand, man,
- 7:15Speaker 1: and it don't matter if it's just your little pool party.
- 7:18Speaker 1: You have them with a family with family and friends,
- 7:20Speaker 1: or you having a birthday party, or are you just
- 7:22Speaker 1: having friends over.
- 7:24Speaker 2: They get out of hand. They do, and it's wild already.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Fourteen five four seven to seven yo Romeo. You know,
- 7:33Speaker 1: me and my husband, we have pool parties all the
- 7:36Speaker 1: time with our friends. And I got to tell all
- 7:39Speaker 1: the wives that come over to hold on to their
- 7:42Speaker 1: man because my best friend is single and she's a
- 7:46Speaker 1: hope and I know it, but she's still my best friend.
- 7:49Speaker 1: People may judge me for that, and I'm going, you know,
- 7:51Speaker 1: we're friends with who we're friends with? Okay, your best
- 7:54Speaker 1: there's a lot of you out there. You're best friend's
- 7:56Speaker 1: a hope. You know she's single.
- 7:58Speaker 2: She's a hope.
- 7:58Speaker 1: She's just waiting to steal your husban or somebody else's
- 8:01Speaker 1: man anyway, So you may judge me for that room,
- 8:04Speaker 1: but I just want to say I warn all the
- 8:06Speaker 1: wives that come to my pool party to make sure
- 8:10Speaker 1: that they keep an eye on their husbands, because she
- 8:12Speaker 1: gets a little tippy tipsy and has no problem taking
- 8:16Speaker 1: off her top or flirting way too hard. So make
- 8:19Speaker 1: sure rome that you let them know I I don't okay,
- 8:25Speaker 1: I'll let them know, don't go when they go to
- 8:26Speaker 1: your pool party to hold onto their husband's.
- 8:30Speaker 2: All right?
- 8:31Speaker 1: All right? Needy four two five, four seven seven. Wow,
- 8:34Speaker 1: that's funny. At least she at least she warns the
- 8:38Speaker 1: other women that go to her pool parties that, Hey,
- 8:40Speaker 1: my best friend's a hoe.
- 8:41Speaker 2: You better watch out. What do you got?
- 8:44Speaker 1: It's like, what happened the last time you went to
- 8:45Speaker 1: a pool party? How did you go down? Something crazy?
- 8:48Speaker 2: Who's uh? Who uh? Who was underdressed? Who was overdressed?
- 8:52Speaker 2: Who was mad? Already?
- 8:53Speaker 1: Four two five, four seven to seven your room? Do
- 8:57Speaker 1: you think it's okay for women to dress in thong
- 9:00Speaker 1: bikinis at a kid's pool party.
- 9:04Speaker 2: I don't know. I mean, I don't know. I don't.
- 9:09Speaker 2: I guess I'm not. I don't know.
- 9:11Speaker 1: You know, people get mad about it. I don't know
- 9:12Speaker 1: how you're supposed to dress, you know. I mean, yeah, probably,
- 9:16Speaker 1: I guess. I mean it's probably not a good look.
- 9:20Speaker 1: But you see how women are dressed out in public nowadays.
- 9:23Speaker 1: What's I mean the kids are gonna see it out
- 9:24Speaker 1: there anyways, I don't. I mean, that's a that's an
- 9:28Speaker 1: argument for you to have with whoever's coming to your
- 9:31Speaker 1: house for a pool party, you know, I mean, do
- 9:34Speaker 1: you want them? You want your kids around it? You
- 9:36Speaker 1: know your friends, you know your family, You know who
- 9:38Speaker 1: to invite not to unvite. You guys all know who's
- 9:41Speaker 1: gonna wear a throng bikini to a pool party with
- 9:44Speaker 1: little triangles covering their nipples so that you know they
- 9:47Speaker 1: cover just enough to be to not get indecent exposure charges.
- 9:51Speaker 2: I mean they know.
- 9:52Speaker 1: I mean, you know, you know which friends of yours
- 9:54Speaker 1: are like that, so don't invite them to a kids party.
- 9:56Speaker 1: I guess I don't really know, to be honest with you,
- 10:00Speaker 1: what to say about that? Already four two, five, four,
- 10:04Speaker 1: seven to seven? What'd you send me here? Hey Romeo?
- 10:07Speaker 1: This weekend, my neighbor had a pool party. I was
- 10:10Speaker 1: in the garage when she walked over in a two
- 10:13Speaker 1: piece bikini asked me to go change her pro painting,
- 10:17Speaker 1: and me, like a good neighbor, I helped out.
- 10:19Speaker 2: I help out.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Every single woman in a thong rad to rob to
- 10:23Speaker 1: the rescue. You know, can I just say this on
- 10:29Speaker 1: another note, I, uh, how do you guys handle that?
- 10:33Speaker 2: That's another thing.
- 10:34Speaker 1: You know, there are in uh my neighborhood, a couple
- 10:39Speaker 1: of divorce as, divorcees, divorcees, how do you say it?
- 10:43Speaker 1: A couple of women that got divorced and you know,
- 10:46Speaker 1: they got the house, he not there no more. And
- 10:48Speaker 1: they do kind of walk around a little, you know,
- 10:51Speaker 1: asking their neighbors for help. But not me. I'm I'm
- 10:55Speaker 1: not good looking or you know, attractive or or in
- 10:58Speaker 1: great shape like my neighbor. So yeah, they they do
- 11:03Speaker 1: ask some of the neighbors. I always wonder how those
- 11:05Speaker 1: guys handle that. Right when you got that single mom
- 11:08Speaker 1: or that single woman next door, there's nothing more dangerous
- 11:10Speaker 1: than a forty five year old divorced woman right, because
- 11:13Speaker 1: she's getting back in great shape. She's ready to, you know,
- 11:16Speaker 1: take on the world again, and she's ready to take
- 11:18Speaker 1: your husband.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:21Speaker 1: So, Rob, maybe you shouldn't be going to pool parties
- 11:24Speaker 1: with your neighbors, all right, E four two.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Four seven to seven yo rum. So get this.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Last summer, my wife and I we moved into a
- 11:34Speaker 1: new house. We downgraded because the kids had gone off
- 11:38Speaker 1: the college.
- 11:39Speaker 2: It was just her and I. We moved into a
- 11:40Speaker 2: little community.
- 11:42Speaker 1: We get invited to one of the neighbor's pool parties
- 11:45Speaker 1: and turned out it was a swinger's party. Rome I
- 11:48Speaker 1: had no idea. Me and my wife kind of freaked
- 11:50Speaker 1: out about it. We left and never went back. Like
- 11:56Speaker 1: I said, man, you get a there's two things you
- 11:59Speaker 1: can guarantee things are gonna get crazy.
- 12:02Speaker 2: A pool party and a boat.
- 12:05Speaker 1: If you want to hang out with people, don't ever
- 12:08Speaker 1: hang out with people who have a pool or a boat.
- 12:11Speaker 1: If you're approved, okay, because it will go down at
- 12:17Speaker 1: some point. We're talking about pool parties, right. Pool parties
- 12:20Speaker 1: tend to get out of hand. They turned to get
- 12:22Speaker 1: sexual for some reason. More more often than not, pool
- 12:25Speaker 1: parties tend to get sexual than they do.
- 12:27Speaker 2: You know, real crazy crazy, you know, cops getting.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Called and more has to do with the sexual things
- 12:33Speaker 1: that happen at pool parties already four two pop four
- 12:36Speaker 1: or seven as seven eight Romeo. My husband and I
- 12:39Speaker 1: went to this one neighborhood when we were buying a
- 12:41Speaker 1: house and it was about one in the afternoon.
- 12:45Speaker 2: We're going through the house. It was a two story house.
- 12:48Speaker 1: The neighbors next door we're having a pool party. Most
- 12:53Speaker 1: of the women had their tops off and we're running
- 12:55Speaker 1: around drinking party and music was going. This was at
- 12:58Speaker 1: one in the afternoon during the week, So mind you
- 13:03Speaker 1: or needless to say, we did not buy that house
- 13:06Speaker 1: and move somewhere else. You never know what's going on.
- 13:11Speaker 1: I've had that happen before. By the way, I was
- 13:13Speaker 1: looking at a house one time and it wasn't a
- 13:15Speaker 1: fool on party, but it was just a couple.
- 13:18Speaker 2: They were both naked. It was an afternoon thing.
- 13:21Speaker 1: They were both you know, they always say when you
- 13:23Speaker 1: go buy a house, go different times of the day
- 13:26Speaker 1: to see what the neighborhood's like those different times and
- 13:28Speaker 1: you'll see and you'll see, and yeah, they were It
- 13:31Speaker 1: was just I don't know if their husband and wife
- 13:33Speaker 1: or a guy and his girlfriend or whatever.
- 13:35Speaker 2: But yeah, they were both naked drinking in the backyard and.
- 13:38Speaker 1: There was a pool in vault already four two five,
- 13:41Speaker 1: four seven to seven E good morning, Romeo. I thought
- 13:43Speaker 1: Rader Rob was married. Either way, he is a dumbass.
- 13:46Speaker 1: He just ratted himself out. Does he not think his
- 13:50Speaker 1: wife doesn't listen to the radio? Yeah, I don't know
- 13:54Speaker 1: about all that Raider Rov is.
- 13:58Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Raider Rob does his own thing, yo, Rome, not related
- 14:02Speaker 1: to a full party. But my neighbor was a bit
- 14:05Speaker 1: younger than me. I'm thirty five. I'm thirty five, he's
- 14:08Speaker 1: thirty two. He was telling me he was gonna he
- 14:11Speaker 1: was going to moving move his mom in. I didn't
- 14:16Speaker 1: think much of it. I imagined a senior type, other
- 14:19Speaker 1: older lady Rome. She turned out to be some pretty
- 14:22Speaker 1: hot fifty five year old. It was like Friday. It
- 14:25Speaker 1: was like the Friday movie scene. I went to check
- 14:28Speaker 1: my mail, she was water in the grass and started flirting.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Long story, short room. I really hope my neighbor doesn't
- 14:34Speaker 1: find out his mom is a really good neighbor to me.
- 14:38Speaker 1: So you're thirty five sleeping with the neighbor with your
- 14:43Speaker 1: neighbor's mom was fifty five. I don't think there's anything
- 14:48Speaker 1: wrong with that. I mean, these fifty five year old
- 14:50Speaker 1: women nowadays look hot.
- 14:52Speaker 2: Don't get me wrong. Women today.
- 14:56Speaker 1: At fifty five like a lot different than women in
- 14:58Speaker 1: the nineties at fifty five.
- 15:01Speaker 2: So yeah, good.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Luck with that.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Wait till he finds out see how that goes down? Yeah,
- 15:08Speaker 2: I mean there is a lot of let me put
- 15:13Speaker 2: to you like this, there's.
- 15:15Speaker 1: A lot of single, single women, a lot of divorced
- 15:19Speaker 1: single women running around your neighborhoods causing hav it. You
- 15:22Speaker 1: women need to watch your men, you know. And I
- 15:25Speaker 1: don't care what anybody says. If he loves you, you
- 15:29Speaker 1: don't have to worry about it, all that stupid saying, Wow,
- 15:31Speaker 1: and my man really loved me.
- 15:32Speaker 2: I don't got to worry about my man. Don't trust
- 15:34Speaker 2: my man?
- 15:34Speaker 1: Yeah, you trust your man until a fifty five year
- 15:37Speaker 1: old single divorce a shows up, have naked, try to
- 15:40Speaker 1: get him to go. What did Raiders Rob say? Change
- 15:43Speaker 1: a pro paint tank? Hey Romeo, I have to buy
- 15:48Speaker 1: I have a built in pool. I see, I see
- 15:50Speaker 1: a lot of people rent theirs out on that. Having
- 15:55Speaker 1: strangers in your pool. Yeah, I read a story about that.
- 16:01Speaker 1: I think that's ridiculous to do that. I would never
- 16:04Speaker 1: But then again, I don't even want my own family
- 16:06Speaker 1: in my house, so I'm not I'm not the best
- 16:08Speaker 1: person to ask about renting anything or people being in
- 16:11Speaker 1: my space. But yeah, I saw a story the other
- 16:16Speaker 1: day where a guy supposedly rented out his pool a
- 16:18Speaker 1: lawyer for the military. I think it was certain branch
- 16:21Speaker 1: of the military. He rented out of his pool, and
- 16:23Speaker 1: now he could be facing jail time for whatever antics
- 16:26Speaker 1: happened at that pool party.
- 16:27Speaker 2: So yeah, I don't know about all that. I don't
- 16:31Speaker 2: know if I'm yeah, I don't. I don't think it's
- 16:33Speaker 2: a good idea.
- 16:34Speaker 1: If you really need a pool, just go to Motel
- 16:36Speaker 1: six and rent a room for the day, take your
- 16:38Speaker 1: kids swimming.
- 16:39Speaker 2: What did you send me here?
- 16:41Speaker 1: Oh I got this yesterday and I didn't have a
- 16:43Speaker 1: chance to get into it. He says, Rome are women
- 16:46Speaker 1: in though Gordo's fat guys now nowadays? Uh, Like, is
- 16:53Speaker 1: it a trend or what do you mean by that?
- 16:57Speaker 1: I'm not sure what you what you mean by nowadays?
- 17:00Speaker 1: Like fat guys were never in and now they're now
- 17:03Speaker 1: that's all women want because it's trending or.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Or what what are you trying to tell me here?
- 17:09Speaker 6: All right?
- 17:09Speaker 1: Eight four two, five to four or seven to seven. Basically,
- 17:12Speaker 1: I'll tell you this as a general rule, uh in life, Okay, Rich,
- 17:19Speaker 1: fat guys and funny fat guys in the history of
- 17:21Speaker 1: the world have always got women. Okay, I've always got women,
- 17:25Speaker 1: No big deal. All right, now, is there a trend
- 17:29Speaker 1: that fat guys are in?
- 17:30Speaker 2: No, I don't believe so.
- 17:31Speaker 1: But I will say this, and I will say this
- 17:36Speaker 1: specifically about women in Bakersfield, and you can. You can
- 17:42Speaker 1: if this applies to women in other cities, then okay,
- 17:45Speaker 1: but I will say this specifically about women in Bakersfield.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Ninety percent of women in Bakersfield all want a guy
- 17:54Speaker 1: who just wants them. They're not looking at at a
- 17:59Speaker 1: certain point. The lifers Field are looking for a guy
- 18:03Speaker 1: that just wants to be with them and treats them. Right, Okay.
- 18:08Speaker 1: So I don't know if that answers your question. But
- 18:12Speaker 1: the bottom line is, as a man in Bakersfield, if
- 18:17Speaker 1: you're fat, if you're skinny, if you're rich, if you're poor,
- 18:20Speaker 1: if you're whatever, and you can go out and find
- 18:24Speaker 1: a woman. You can go find a hot woman. You
- 18:27Speaker 1: can find a fat woman, you can find a rich woman,
- 18:30Speaker 1: you can find a lazy woman. You can find whatever
- 18:32Speaker 1: type of woman you're into, whether you're a guy that's
- 18:35Speaker 1: fat or skinny. In Bakersfield, if you treat her right,
- 18:40Speaker 1: then she will get with you. You will have no problem
- 18:43Speaker 1: getting a girl. So I don't your question is a
- 18:45Speaker 1: little vague. I don't know what you're asking me. But
- 18:48Speaker 1: as far as Bakersfield goes, women in Bakersfield want a
- 18:51Speaker 1: guy who's gonna treat them well.
- 18:54Speaker 2: And I'm not.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Saying I'm not saying, you know, I'm not saying. When
- 19:01Speaker 1: I say treat them well, I mean they want a
- 19:03Speaker 1: guy who's gonna come home, who wants to be with them,
- 19:06Speaker 1: who wants to spend time with them, who wants to
- 19:08Speaker 1: treat them better than all these meatheads with meatheads that
- 19:12Speaker 1: they went out with and treated them poorly because these
- 19:14Speaker 1: guys were more into themselves than they were into the relationship.
- 19:17Speaker 2: All right, Does that make sense to you?
- 19:20Speaker 1: Somebody was asking me if fat guys were in I
- 19:24Speaker 1: don't think they're a trend, But I mean I think
- 19:28Speaker 1: women and bakers will just want whoever's going to treat
- 19:30Speaker 1: them right and whatever capacity they believe that is. I
- 19:32Speaker 1: don't think I think women look I think young women
- 19:40Speaker 1: look for you know, six or two with abs. I
- 19:43Speaker 1: think as they get older, they start to realize that
- 19:47Speaker 1: a guy's body is not as important as it as
- 19:52Speaker 1: being taken care of in the capacity of whatever you want,
- 19:55Speaker 1: however you feel you want to be taken care of
- 19:57Speaker 1: already four two.
- 19:58Speaker 2: Five, four seven seven year we're O and tell that guy.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Women love fat guys if they're hard working and genuine.
- 20:06Speaker 1: I totally agree with that, especially in makersfield. I totally
- 20:09Speaker 1: agree with that. And I mean, yeah, yeah, the only
- 20:15Speaker 1: one the only people that are mad at fat guys
- 20:17Speaker 1: are the skinny jackasses, the meat heads who can't get
- 20:20Speaker 1: women because of their egos.
- 20:22Speaker 2: You know you want me.
- 20:23Speaker 4: I take that.
- 20:24Speaker 7: Guys are definitely in right now. You know, are trending.
- 20:29Speaker 1: I don't think you're not trending, but they're not trending,
- 20:33Speaker 1: but they're you know, they're not.
- 20:35Speaker 2: I wouldn't say.
- 20:36Speaker 1: I wouldn't say women are out there all just looking
- 20:38Speaker 1: for fat guys and going.
- 20:39Speaker 2: Now, that's what I got to get me some of that.
- 20:41Speaker 3: Now, I feel like they are. When I walk out there,
- 20:44Speaker 3: I feel like they're all got their eyes on me.
- 20:46Speaker 6: They're looking, and they're looking at me.
- 20:48Speaker 7: See if I got a ring, if I'm available, because
- 20:51Speaker 7: I think these women have learned that fat guys know
- 20:53Speaker 7: how to take care of them live in.
- 20:56Speaker 4: Okay.
- 20:56Speaker 2: First of all, First of all, they're not all looking
- 20:59Speaker 2: at you. You you're an idiot if you think that.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Second of all, no fat guys are not Some fat
- 21:07Speaker 1: guys are jackasses.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Okay, not all of them are great guys.
- 21:10Speaker 1: And just like some some guys, skinny guys are are
- 21:14Speaker 1: are are are genuine as well. Not all skinny guys
- 21:17Speaker 1: are jackasses. So you are one wrong in your thought
- 21:22Speaker 1: process right now.
- 21:23Speaker 7: Well, I've never had a plumploying a beautiful woman, and
- 21:29Speaker 7: it's gotten even easier as I've gotten older, because when
- 21:32Speaker 7: I was younger fat guys. No women wanted a young
- 21:35Speaker 7: fat guy, But an older fat guy they know if
- 21:37Speaker 7: he's responsible, that's paying the bills, he's taking around. I'm
- 21:41Speaker 7: telling you, we're in. Fat guys make the world go around.
- 21:44Speaker 1: We can get out of here. You're an idiot. He's
- 21:47Speaker 1: one hundred percent wrong. Fat guys, first of all, do
- 21:51Speaker 1: not make the world go round. I know plenty of guys. Uh,
- 21:54Speaker 1: you might want to say older guys make the world
- 21:57Speaker 1: go around. Maybe maybe you want to say that, But
- 22:01Speaker 1: I know plenty of guys who are in great shape,
- 22:03Speaker 1: who are really good guys.
- 22:06Speaker 2: You know all.
- 22:07Speaker 1: But if we're just gonna talk about fat guys specifically,
- 22:12Speaker 1: I don't think they're a trend. I don't think women
- 22:14Speaker 1: are going out. Yeah, I gotta get me a fat guy,
- 22:16Speaker 1: but I think they women.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Are smart enough in Vegersfield to go.
- 22:20Speaker 1: I don't care what he looks like at a certain point,
- 22:23Speaker 1: I just want a guy that's gonna treat me, treat
- 22:26Speaker 1: me with respect, and communicate with me and love me.
- 22:29Speaker 1: I think then, and they just start looking for that.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Somebody was asking me if fat guys were in. I
- 22:36Speaker 1: guess they're trending.
- 22:36Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Alrighty four two to five or seven to seven eight Romeo.
- 22:40Speaker 1: As a woman, let me tell you how it goes.
- 22:43Speaker 1: It's not that fat guys are in or out. It's
- 22:46Speaker 1: the way that women think about men. Women in their
- 22:49Speaker 1: twenties want that young, hot guy who's gonna be a
- 22:52Speaker 1: millionaire when they get older, and it doesn't work out
- 22:56Speaker 1: that way for them. They start to realize that they
- 23:00Speaker 1: need to change what they're looking for. So fat guys
- 23:04Speaker 1: look a little more attractive because they are a little
- 23:06Speaker 1: more responsible, they do have jobs, and they do want
- 23:09Speaker 1: to come home to you. That's the difference rome not
- 23:14Speaker 1: just the weight or not just the weight. Well, yeah,
- 23:18Speaker 1: you know, I.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Mean, okay, I get it, I get it. Okay, brow me.
- 23:25Speaker 5: I just have a quick question off the subject whatever
- 23:28Speaker 5: you're talking about.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Okay.
- 23:30Speaker 3: I broke my ankle back in May.
- 23:32Speaker 8: But right before I did, I had.
- 23:35Speaker 3: One free lunch.
- 23:36Speaker 6: Does that like expire or is it still there at
- 23:38Speaker 6: the studio?
- 23:39Speaker 2: Well, I think you have thirty days to pick up
- 23:42Speaker 2: the process.
- 23:43Speaker 8: So okay, no, mom, but I was just curious before
- 23:46Speaker 8: I drove over there.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 23:48Speaker 6: I heard it yesterday and was like, oh my god,
- 23:50Speaker 6: I forgot I won that.
- 23:52Speaker 5: In May, I broke my ankle, had surgery and completely
- 23:55Speaker 5: forgot about the rest of the world.
- 23:58Speaker 8: I tripped over my daughter's puppy.
- 24:02Speaker 9: It is.
- 24:02Speaker 6: It wasn't supposed to be there because I just got back.
- 24:05Speaker 8: From working at Albert Querky, just got back from the airport.
- 24:08Speaker 5: Walked in the house, walked to the backyard.
- 24:11Speaker 8: The puppy surprized me, trip me, and I broke my ankle.
- 24:14Speaker 1: Is the puppy Okay, fine, fine, because I didn't step
- 24:18Speaker 1: on her.
- 24:19Speaker 5: Okay, well, not to hurt her, and I just hurt
- 24:24Speaker 5: myself ten times worse.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Well, I will actually tell you. I will actually tell
- 24:28Speaker 1: you this since you probably won't with Jay Reid. Called
- 24:31Speaker 1: Jay Reid and ask him. He's actually he might be
- 24:33Speaker 1: nice enough and.
- 24:34Speaker 2: Give you lunch.
- 24:36Speaker 3: Okay, I'll try.
- 24:37Speaker 8: I'll try him yesterday, but I couldn't get through.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Oh well, just keep trying. You get a hold of him.
- 24:42Speaker 2: He's the guy that can make that decision for you. You
- 24:43Speaker 2: might hook you up. You never know, Okay, thank you?
- 24:46Speaker 1: All right?
- 24:46Speaker 2: Cool better?
- 24:48Speaker 1: Yeah, just so you know when it comes to prizes,
- 24:53Speaker 1: we do have rules. We do have rules that we follow,
- 24:57Speaker 1: but we're not trying to be stingy. Nobody here, nobody
- 24:59Speaker 1: here the radio station. Uh, it's not like we take
- 25:02Speaker 1: them home. It's not like we get them if we
- 25:03Speaker 1: don't give them out to you. The whole idea is
- 25:06Speaker 1: to give you prizes, it's not to keep them and
- 25:08Speaker 1: be stingy with them.
- 25:09Speaker 2: So called Jay, you might hook you up.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Michael Bean is here, for the Marriage and Family Center.
- 25:15Speaker 1: It's Thursday, so let's talk to Michael.
- 25:17Speaker 2: Good morning, Michael, Well, good morning, how are you? I
- 25:20Speaker 2: am fabulous? How are you doing? Michael?
- 25:22Speaker 6: I think I make it?
- 25:25Speaker 1: Michael Bean, Marriage Family Center, Marriage Family Center. That's six
- 25:28Speaker 1: seven fifty one. Let me just go through the prompts
- 25:33Speaker 1: as you get there to get to where you need
- 25:35Speaker 1: to go.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Michael, Hey, I just want to ask you a question.
- 25:38Speaker 1: We're just talking a little bit about I don't know,
- 25:40Speaker 1: somebody was asking me about fat guys, if fat guys
- 25:43Speaker 1: are in with women, and I don't think fat guys
- 25:46Speaker 1: are trending, but I do think women are starting to
- 25:50Speaker 1: figure out that they want a guy that wants to
- 25:53Speaker 1: be with them and in whatever capacity they feel taken
- 25:57Speaker 1: care of is what they want, regardless of size. I
- 26:01Speaker 1: guess the best way to put it, at what point, Michael,
- 26:06Speaker 1: you got to you gotta start off right if you're
- 26:08Speaker 1: if you're a guy or a girl or whoever, if
- 26:11Speaker 1: you're trying to find somebody, you got to start off
- 26:13Speaker 1: shooting for the for the fences, right. You got to
- 26:15Speaker 1: start off with the million dollar guy and the six
- 26:18Speaker 1: to two and the six pack abs.
- 26:20Speaker 2: That's the guy, you got to shoot quarantine.
- 26:21Speaker 1: You realize there's not enough of those around or he's
- 26:24Speaker 1: not going to treat you the way that you want
- 26:25Speaker 1: to be treated, and you got to switch it up.
- 26:27Speaker 2: A little bit. Right.
- 26:29Speaker 6: Well, i'll tell you what. It is a really good
- 26:31Speaker 6: time to be in the gym business right now because
- 26:35Speaker 6: people getting in shape is just really trending. In fact,
- 26:40Speaker 6: starting the market more and more like razors for men
- 26:44Speaker 6: so they can shave their bodies and you know, have
- 26:48Speaker 6: their defined muscle shirt. It's just like it's almost like, uh,
- 26:53Speaker 6: there's kind of no room for any sort of sloppiness,
- 26:56Speaker 6: and there's just eye candy. That's what You've got to have.
- 26:58Speaker 6: That eye candy. So and so asked to even have
- 27:03Speaker 6: that first date. But I think a lot of people
- 27:05Speaker 6: are finding that, pah, that's that's attractive for a minute.
- 27:13Speaker 6: So you know, maybe need a hand with something or
- 27:17Speaker 6: supathetic ear or something, and that other person is just
- 27:20Speaker 6: kind of you know, they're just in their own world.
- 27:24Speaker 6: They're just focused on, you know, more superficial things.
- 27:28Speaker 2: Do you do you think?
- 27:30Speaker 1: I think this might be a dumb question, but I
- 27:32Speaker 1: think that especially in Bakersfield, I think men focus more
- 27:37Speaker 1: on superficial things and don't learn their lesson more so
- 27:41Speaker 1: than women do. I think women kind of, well, I
- 27:43Speaker 1: wanted this guy, but now he's not treating me well,
- 27:46Speaker 1: or he's kind of an arrogant, egotistical jackass because he's
- 27:50Speaker 1: got you know, because he knows all the women want
- 27:51Speaker 1: them or whatnot, and they start to realize, well, wait
- 27:53Speaker 1: a second, this is not how I want to live
- 27:54Speaker 1: my life, so let me figure it out. As opposed
- 27:57Speaker 1: to guys who just jumped from the next attractive thing
- 28:01Speaker 1: to the next attractive thing get treated the same way.
- 28:05Speaker 6: I don't know, maybe men and women kind of do
- 28:09Speaker 6: narcissism differently. Maybe women focus on their self development or
- 28:17Speaker 6: something else, or you know, they just kind of turn
- 28:20Speaker 6: inward a little bit or kind of just I don't know,
- 28:24Speaker 6: maybe it just looks different, but I'm not sure. I
- 28:27Speaker 6: think it's sort of an equal opportunity thing where you
- 28:30Speaker 6: can just get too focus on with the botox and
- 28:34Speaker 6: you know, just the perfect this and the perfect that.
- 28:37Speaker 6: I don't know that it's a real gender specific thing.
- 28:40Speaker 6: I think that I don't know. I think people kind
- 28:44Speaker 6: of get it. People get the idea of I want
- 28:46Speaker 6: to look good and if I need to spend some
- 28:49Speaker 6: money or have a procedure, or go to the gym
- 28:52Speaker 6: all the time, whatever I need to do to have
- 28:54Speaker 6: a certain look. You know, Okay, there's something to that,
- 28:58Speaker 6: But again I think what I knowed that doesn't last it.
- 29:05Speaker 1: As funny as and I don't know if you've seen
- 29:08Speaker 1: this or not in your profession, but with these glp
- 29:13Speaker 1: ones and these ozempics and whatever, or these guys going
- 29:17Speaker 1: to working out, are these guys taking these with with
- 29:21Speaker 1: how easy it is nowaday for men and women to
- 29:25Speaker 1: lose weight and get skinnier. Have you noticed problems occurring
- 29:31Speaker 1: in relationships? Because when you got too fat, people that
- 29:34Speaker 1: don't look you know, they just kind of feel like, oh,
- 29:36Speaker 1: you've always said this, Michael.
- 29:37Speaker 2: People kind of attracted to.
- 29:39Speaker 1: People who they think look at the same attracted level
- 29:42Speaker 1: as them. So when you're in this, when you're in
- 29:45Speaker 1: this marriage for ten years and then all of a sudden,
- 29:48Speaker 1: one of you decides, you know what, I'd so.
- 29:50Speaker 2: Much easy for me to lose weight.
- 29:51Speaker 1: I'm gonna get thin again, and my ego is going
- 29:53Speaker 1: to get better, My insecuritys are going to go away
- 29:56Speaker 1: all of a sudden. Do you see problems with couples
- 30:00Speaker 1: because of this.
- 30:02Speaker 6: Yeah, when one person starts to really focus on looking
- 30:07Speaker 6: more attractive, being more in shape, even getting ahead, even
- 30:11Speaker 6: like okay, well I'm going to get that degree or
- 30:13Speaker 6: that certificate or whatever, or a little better job, get
- 30:16Speaker 6: a promotion, the other partner can start to feel a
- 30:19Speaker 6: little bit challenged, like, well, are you are you? Are
- 30:24Speaker 6: we growing apart? Are you sort of moving on from me?
- 30:28Speaker 6: It's not just that you're trying to improve yourself, but
- 30:30Speaker 6: are you just trying? You know, I'm not good enough
- 30:32Speaker 6: for you anymore? Kind of yeah, so it kind of
- 30:34Speaker 6: it can challenge a person sense of you know, am
- 30:38Speaker 6: I still okay the way I am?
- 30:41Speaker 1: Well, Michael, Michael Ben is here for the Managing Family Center.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Hold on a second, we're get going more so. Michael
- 30:47Speaker 1: Bean is here for the Manager Family Center. Six one, three,
- 30:50Speaker 1: two seven fifty one. Good morning, Michael, Well, good morning.
- 30:54Speaker 2: Okay.
- 30:54Speaker 1: We were talking a little bit about changes about weight change,
- 30:58Speaker 1: but I want to talk.
- 30:58Speaker 2: About change in general, just in a relationship, because wait,
- 31:05Speaker 2: a job.
- 31:07Speaker 1: There are a lot of different things in a relationship
- 31:09Speaker 1: that are a major change, right, And when when one
- 31:14Speaker 1: person in that relationship decides to make a significant change
- 31:19Speaker 1: in their lifestyle. Does that mean they're just waiting? They're
- 31:23Speaker 1: they're they're gonna they're getting cheated on because the person
- 31:25Speaker 1: that's not making the significant change always gets insecure and thinks,
- 31:30Speaker 1: oh my god, does this person not want me anymore
- 31:32Speaker 1: because of the significant change whatever that may be, or
- 31:36Speaker 1: is that just their own insecurity.
- 31:38Speaker 6: Believe it or not. I get that question quite a bit, huh.
- 31:42Speaker 6: And I don't think anyone who asks me that question
- 31:46Speaker 6: likes the answer. They do. They'll say, hey, you know,
- 31:50Speaker 6: my partner's going back to school, or they're they're starting to,
- 31:54Speaker 6: you know, work out a lot at the gym and
- 31:56Speaker 6: they're getting into shape and they're really focusing on this
- 31:59Speaker 6: whatever so improvement they're kind of doing. Should I worry?
- 32:02Speaker 6: They asked me, Should I worry?
- 32:04Speaker 9: Huh?
- 32:06Speaker 6: And I always tell them, yes, you should worry. You
- 32:10Speaker 6: should worry. If you're not working on yourself as much
- 32:14Speaker 6: as they are, then they are going to get bored
- 32:16Speaker 6: with you. Then they are going to kind of kind
- 32:19Speaker 6: of take a second look at you and think, well,
- 32:21Speaker 6: wait a minute, you know, I'm working pretty hard and
- 32:25Speaker 6: I'm getting myself kind of to be a better person.
- 32:27Speaker 6: And then they're they're going to look over at you
- 32:30Speaker 6: and one day they're going to kind of go, what
- 32:32Speaker 6: are you doing?
- 32:33Speaker 1: You know?
- 32:33Speaker 6: And what am I doing with you?
- 32:38Speaker 2: I will say, I don't know why anybody doesn't.
- 32:40Speaker 1: That makes perfect sense because if you go, if you
- 32:44Speaker 1: look at somebody and they're going down a bad path,
- 32:46Speaker 1: and you look at your spouse and go, wait, this
- 32:48Speaker 1: path that you're leading down is just not beneficial or
- 32:52Speaker 1: healthy for me and you. What's the difference between towing
- 32:56Speaker 1: down a good path? Well, now I want to better myself,
- 32:58Speaker 1: but you don't. But what if the other spouse doesn't
- 33:02Speaker 1: need to be better?
- 33:06Speaker 6: Well, I mean, okay, maybe they don't need to be better.
- 33:10Speaker 6: Maybe just you do, and maybe you are going to
- 33:13Speaker 6: kind of move on from them, But you are moving
- 33:15Speaker 6: on from them. Your partner really is moving on from
- 33:19Speaker 6: you when they are improving themselves and you're not. It
- 33:23Speaker 6: doesn't mean you have to improve yourself in the same way.
- 33:25Speaker 6: Just become a more fully developed, more interesting person, have
- 33:29Speaker 6: something to talk about at the table when you get together,
- 33:33Speaker 6: and not just you know, give me another beer and
- 33:38Speaker 6: a loud belch and that's just not going to make
- 33:40Speaker 6: it good.
- 33:41Speaker 10: You see, Now, this kind of this kind of flows
- 33:46Speaker 10: into what you wrote down Michael from the other day
- 33:50Speaker 10: about getting out of your comfort zone for your spouse.
- 33:54Speaker 1: Now, if your spouse comes home and says, you know what,
- 33:58Speaker 1: I'm going to get into skydiving. I really I've been
- 34:00Speaker 1: wanting to do it forever. Now, then skydiving is just
- 34:04Speaker 1: going to consume consume me, and you either gonna get
- 34:07Speaker 1: on board or get not. How what if I don't
- 34:11Speaker 1: want to skydive? What if I don't want to jump
- 34:13Speaker 1: out of a point? What if I'm scared? What if
- 34:14Speaker 1: I you know, for all these different reasons. Now I
- 34:16Speaker 1: gotta jump on board because, Uh, this improvement or change
- 34:20Speaker 1: that's going on in my spouse's life is uh, she
- 34:24Speaker 1: gonna leave me because it.
- 34:27Speaker 6: No, But I'm gonna go to the classes with her.
- 34:30Speaker 6: I'm gonna drive her there. I'm gonna become a part
- 34:32Speaker 6: of things. I'm gonna talk to her about it. I'm
- 34:34Speaker 6: gonna around her on the ground, welcoming to her when
- 34:38Speaker 6: her feet hit the ground and being scared and nervous
- 34:41Speaker 6: for her, and then give her a big, huge hug
- 34:42Speaker 6: after I want to be the guy that gives her
- 34:44Speaker 6: the hug afterward.
- 34:45Speaker 1: Okay, Okay, so that's what you mean by that, don't
- 34:48Speaker 1: necessarily that you have to be well when you said, Michael,
- 34:54Speaker 1: that changes that just what you just said changes so
- 34:57Speaker 1: much when I start to apply that to real life,
- 35:00Speaker 1: to just people. I know, you know, guys who go
- 35:03Speaker 1: play golf but their wives don't want to go play
- 35:05Speaker 1: golf with.
- 35:06Speaker 2: Them, you know, because oh it's too long, it's too hot. Well, okay,
- 35:10Speaker 2: but meet me at the club afterwards.
- 35:12Speaker 6: Yeah, I just know or something. Let's figure out how
- 35:14Speaker 6: to make this, you know, part of us, part of
- 35:17Speaker 6: kind of what we do.
- 35:19Speaker 1: That what you just said, Michael, really, I would say
- 35:23Speaker 1: about seventy percent of Baker's film needs to hear it
- 35:26Speaker 1: to understand that, Hey, there's a way to be a
- 35:29Speaker 1: part of something for your spouse that you may not
- 35:32Speaker 1: want to, you may not like it, but there's still
- 35:34Speaker 1: a way to.
- 35:35Speaker 2: Be a part of it.
- 35:37Speaker 1: Absolutely, And I just think, once again, I got to
- 35:40Speaker 1: go back to people are stupid because it doesn't seem
- 35:43Speaker 1: that difficult or it doesn't seem that complicated. Hold on, Michael,
- 35:47Speaker 1: we got to talk a little bit more about it.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Michael Bean is here. Michael Bean is here from the
- 35:50Speaker 1: Marriage of Family Center six one three two seven.
- 35:53Speaker 2: Fifty one hundred. Good morning, Michael, Good morning.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Okay, so we're talking about kind of how far you
- 36:00Speaker 1: should go for your relationship or how far outside your
- 36:03Speaker 1: comfort zone. We're talking about your partner changing in a
- 36:06Speaker 1: significant way.
- 36:08Speaker 2: What does that mean for you? How do you handle it?
- 36:12Speaker 2: I mean? Or does that mean?
- 36:15Speaker 6: You know?
- 36:15Speaker 2: I mean? What about both sides of it? Michael?
- 36:18Speaker 1: Okay, I'm going to change. I want to do this
- 36:20Speaker 1: now and now I want you to do this with me.
- 36:23Speaker 1: But you're not really comfortable with this whatever this is.
- 36:26Speaker 1: And now am I being selfish or are you being selfish?
- 36:31Speaker 1: Or what do we do Michael? How do we look
- 36:33Speaker 1: at both sides of it?
- 36:36Speaker 6: Well, I mean, there's different ways that we can approach it.
- 36:38Speaker 6: Are you in a relationship where your partner's changing and
- 36:41Speaker 6: they're kind of putting pressure on you to change or
- 36:44Speaker 6: are you the one that's doing to change and you're
- 36:46Speaker 6: looking over how much pressure should you put on your partner?
- 36:49Speaker 6: Which way do you want to which way you want
- 36:52Speaker 6: to do it?
- 36:53Speaker 1: Okay, So you're, like you said, your partner's running one
- 36:57Speaker 1: hundred miles an hour, doesn't stop. Yeah, Now you're sitting
- 37:01Speaker 1: there going how do I keep up? What from that perspective,
- 37:05Speaker 1: what do I do?
- 37:06Speaker 6: Yeah? Well, I mean what you do is up to
- 37:11Speaker 6: you for sure. Yeah, you know, and I don't know
- 37:17Speaker 6: that you have to I don't know they have to
- 37:20Speaker 6: do things that are super far outside of your comfort zone.
- 37:24Speaker 6: I think we all need to keep growing and changing
- 37:27Speaker 6: and developing. And if we're not, then, like I said,
- 37:31Speaker 6: our partner is going to look over and kind of go,
- 37:33Speaker 6: what are you doing?
- 37:34Speaker 2: You know?
- 37:34Speaker 6: And why am I with you? So I think we
- 37:37Speaker 6: just make sure that we don't become that person and
- 37:40Speaker 6: we figure out, okay, well what am I going to develop?
- 37:42Speaker 5: What?
- 37:42Speaker 6: Where? Where do I change from here? How do I
- 37:45Speaker 6: grow at this point? And and do that we overcome
- 37:50Speaker 6: a bad habit? You know, maybe I could cut down
- 37:52Speaker 6: on my drinking a little bit, maybe I could increase
- 37:54Speaker 6: my exercise a little bit, whatever, but you got to
- 37:59Speaker 6: do something.
- 38:00Speaker 2: Well, let me put it to you like this, Michael.
- 38:03Speaker 1: What if and I kind of joked about it, What
- 38:06Speaker 1: if I don't want to grow?
- 38:07Speaker 2: What if I'm fine? Right? What if your partner was
- 38:11Speaker 2: the one that I put this. If your partner decides
- 38:16Speaker 2: we're going to grow in a certain way. But we're not.
- 38:18Speaker 1: We didn't start at the same place. You know what
- 38:21Speaker 1: I'm saying, Like, I've done all these things. I'm out
- 38:24Speaker 1: here doing all these things, and all of a sudden
- 38:26Speaker 1: you want to do all these other.
- 38:27Speaker 2: Things, and now you're catching up.
- 38:30Speaker 1: And now I'm not growing now because I've already done
- 38:33Speaker 1: all the things that you're growing into.
- 38:34Speaker 2: Does that make sense to you, Michael.
- 38:36Speaker 6: Yeah, we started apart and now we're still sort of
- 38:40Speaker 6: a part We're kind of growing on different levels from
- 38:42Speaker 6: each other. You Now, I just feel like, as long
- 38:47Speaker 6: as we keep coming together, as long as we keep
- 38:50Speaker 6: making our relationship and each other a major part of
- 38:53Speaker 6: our lives, I think I can weather that. You know,
- 38:57Speaker 6: a successful relationship is a little bit like a successful business.
- 39:01Speaker 6: What you have to do is you have to regularly
- 39:04Speaker 6: pay attention to the important things. You have to regularly
- 39:08Speaker 6: come back to the important things, you know. We depending
- 39:13Speaker 6: on what the business is, you know, it's like, well,
- 39:15Speaker 6: you know, hey, I've got to do a certain amount
- 39:17Speaker 6: of marketing and I need to stay on top of that.
- 39:19Speaker 6: I regularly, you know, come back to that. Well, you
- 39:23Speaker 6: know what, I have a certain level of compliance data
- 39:26Speaker 6: or whatever, so I have to keep coming back to
- 39:28Speaker 6: that and checking and making sure my compliance is good.
- 39:31Speaker 6: Whatever kind of your business is, whatever the constraints are
- 39:35Speaker 6: and the needs are of that business, you have to
- 39:36Speaker 6: keep well. The same thing for a relationship. You know, Hey,
- 39:39Speaker 6: you know, we have to have a certain amount of
- 39:40Speaker 6: fun together. We have to figure out how to put
- 39:43Speaker 6: things in the calendar that we're going to enjoy doing together. Hey,
- 39:46Speaker 6: you know what, we have to have a certain amount
- 39:47Speaker 6: of time where it's just you and I just talking
- 39:49Speaker 6: to nothing else. What's kind of going on? Hey, we
- 39:51Speaker 6: need to kind of team up on taking care of
- 39:53Speaker 6: the house or taking care of the yard, or you
- 39:55Speaker 6: know whatever. Our kind of our mutual goals are the
- 39:58Speaker 6: things that we kind of share, we got to do
- 40:01Speaker 6: that too, and then that becomes what our relationship is.
- 40:04Speaker 1: Gotcham, I got you all right. Michael Beani's there for
- 40:08Speaker 1: the Marriage and Family Center. Michael Beani's here for the
- 40:10Speaker 1: Marriage and Family Center. Six one, three two seven of
- 40:13Speaker 1: fifty one hundred. Good morning, Michael, Good morning. This whole
- 40:17Speaker 1: idea of people changing in a relationship, right, we would
- 40:22Speaker 1: hope that if we got together in our twenties, we're
- 40:27Speaker 1: different people than we are in our thirties, forties, fifties, kids, jobs, whatever. Right,
- 40:32Speaker 1: we would hope we have become better people, right.
- 40:35Speaker 6: Because we almost always we are.
- 40:37Speaker 1: Yeah, but these significant changes are what really causes problems.
- 40:41Speaker 1: And what you said up very perfectly when the song
- 40:44Speaker 1: was on Michael, is well, what if one of us
- 40:47Speaker 1: is happy with our life, our job, or we're not
- 40:50Speaker 1: doing We're not doing terrible, We're not you know, struggling,
- 40:54Speaker 1: it's just we're we're in a nice place. And then
- 40:56Speaker 1: one partner goes, well, no, we need to have more.
- 40:58Speaker 1: We need to do this, we need that. You're going,
- 41:00Speaker 1: wait a second, I'm we're why.
- 41:05Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, And then it's really hard not to feel
- 41:09Speaker 6: like things are super unfair when when we have to
- 41:11Speaker 6: sort of let our partner go. I gotta let you
- 41:14Speaker 6: move on from me because I really am okay living
- 41:18Speaker 6: in this tiny place or you know whatever, whatever my
- 41:21Speaker 6: life is. I'm okay with this life. I see that
- 41:24Speaker 6: you're not. You want something more in your life, and
- 41:27Speaker 6: you know, bless you. I've got to let you go,
- 41:30Speaker 6: and I don't want to hold you back. It's really
- 41:32Speaker 6: hard to do when you have an emotional connection to somebody.
- 41:35Speaker 2: Why do we always think more is better. I mean
- 41:41Speaker 2: that just seems that is it? Just how do I
- 41:44Speaker 2: put this?
- 41:45Speaker 1: If we're not moving forward in a way, then we're
- 41:50Speaker 1: standing still and we're not becoming a becoming better. But
- 41:55Speaker 1: why what if I've reached a point in my life
- 41:58Speaker 1: where I'm okay, you know, everything's good.
- 42:02Speaker 2: I'm not, you know, just having a decent life.
- 42:05Speaker 1: I'm always say decent, having a good life, and then
- 42:07Speaker 1: all of a sudden you go, well, we need to
- 42:09Speaker 1: change because I'm bored, or because we we're at a stay,
- 42:15Speaker 1: a standstill, because we're not looking for What's when you
- 42:19Speaker 1: spend what you know, Michael, when you're young and you
- 42:22Speaker 1: you spend twenty years, you know, working hard, getting better cars,
- 42:29Speaker 1: getting a nicer house, and all of a sudden you've
- 42:31Speaker 1: made it to a point where you're going, wait a second, now,
- 42:34Speaker 1: what are we going to do for the next year?
- 42:35Speaker 2: We still got to keep climbing?
- 42:37Speaker 6: Is not?
- 42:38Speaker 2: Is that unfair to say?
- 42:40Speaker 6: I mean, that's the way a lot of people look
- 42:42Speaker 6: at it. And then there are a lot of people
- 42:44Speaker 6: who sort of do achieve that Okay, I've got the
- 42:46Speaker 6: house in the yard and the car, and I'm going
- 42:49Speaker 6: to do the job and I'm going to keep going
- 42:51Speaker 6: to the job and doing my job so I can
- 42:53Speaker 6: come home to my house and my car. Yeah, and
- 42:58Speaker 6: some people are just totally fine with that for quite
- 43:02Speaker 6: a long time. Again, the problem happens when your partner
- 43:07Speaker 6: isn't when you have somebody who's wanting to change and
- 43:10Speaker 6: grow and learn and Okay, now I want to do
- 43:12Speaker 6: the next step. Now I want to you know this,
- 43:15Speaker 6: this house was fine, but you know, I want a
- 43:18Speaker 6: vacation house. And your partner is like, yeah, that sounds
- 43:21Speaker 6: like a lot of work. And so yeah, that's when
- 43:29Speaker 6: there's a problem, is when people want different things in
- 43:32Speaker 6: the relationship and different things out of them. How do
- 43:34Speaker 6: we come together and be a partner still if we're
- 43:37Speaker 6: not on the same page with some just major fundamental things.
- 43:42Speaker 2: So what do we do?
- 43:43Speaker 1: I mean, at some point, Michael, I guess I know
- 43:45Speaker 1: that's not your business. But some people you just kind
- 43:48Speaker 1: of go, well, and you need to go find that
- 43:50Speaker 1: on your own or find some other but somebody else
- 43:52Speaker 1: who wants that with you, because at this point in
- 43:54Speaker 1: my life I don't.
- 43:56Speaker 9: And sometimes other times we can find ways to what
- 44:00Speaker 9: we do connect on. You know, we still we have
- 44:03Speaker 9: kids together, or we you know, we share other things
- 44:06Speaker 9: that we've always shared that have been common. We have
- 44:10Speaker 9: we have extended family now that we're connected to. So
- 44:13Speaker 9: maybe there's enough that we can continue to focus our
- 44:17Speaker 9: relationship around and really.
- 44:20Speaker 6: Be a couple. Well maybe not. It just yeah, it's
- 44:23Speaker 6: the case by case saying.
- 44:25Speaker 1: Well, now, I got to ask you this one last thing, Michael,
- 44:28Speaker 1: and that is this, at what point does your happiness
- 44:35Speaker 1: overshadow the relationship or and or your mental health of
- 44:40Speaker 1: your happiness? And you have to go a wait a second,
- 44:43Speaker 1: this is just not how I want to live the
- 44:44Speaker 1: rest of my life.
- 44:47Speaker 2: And I'm not talking I'm just talking.
- 44:48Speaker 1: About because of these changes of wanting more, wanting less,
- 44:51Speaker 1: or whatever the case may be, you know, not actual,
- 44:56Speaker 1: you know, nonsense where you should leave right.
- 45:00Speaker 6: If I had the perfect answer to that, then every
- 45:04Speaker 6: work of fiction.
- 45:05Speaker 2: That has ever been written wouldn't.
- 45:07Speaker 6: Be interesting anymore. The truth is that is a mystery.
- 45:12Speaker 6: That is the challenge of life is answering that exact question,
- 45:17Speaker 6: Where do I find that balance between being me and
- 45:20Speaker 6: being us? And where you know, how do I how
- 45:24Speaker 6: do I do that? How do I hang on to
- 45:25Speaker 6: what I love without letting go of too much of
- 45:29Speaker 6: who I am.
- 45:30Speaker 1: Okay, so let me ask you this, Michael, is how much,
- 45:35Speaker 1: if you and I are in a relationship, how important
- 45:38Speaker 1: is my happiness versus your happiness to me.
- 45:43Speaker 2: Not to you to me?
- 45:47Speaker 6: Well?
- 45:47Speaker 1: Does that make sense? I know it's I know it's
- 45:49Speaker 1: a kind of a skewed question, but.
- 45:51Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, you Well, humans don't do misery very well.
- 45:58Speaker 6: If we are really unhappy every day and we just
- 46:01Speaker 6: kind of don't really get much of a break from that,
- 46:03Speaker 6: and okay, there's this one day that we finally, you know,
- 46:07Speaker 6: just have a nice and then we go back to
- 46:09Speaker 6: the drudgery for weeks on end. We something's got to
- 46:13Speaker 6: give because humans don't do that. We don't stay miserable long.
- 46:17Speaker 6: Something's gonna change. Something's gonna gonna happen. We're gonna change something.
- 46:22Speaker 6: I just really hope that, particularly when there's kids involved,
- 46:25Speaker 6: the thing that you change is the quality of your relationship.
- 46:29Speaker 6: Very often people don't get along, they've got really bad
- 46:32Speaker 6: habits of interaction. They bring up a worst in each other.
- 46:36Speaker 6: They feel like, okay, well I got to be defensive here.
- 46:38Speaker 6: I've got to kind of put up a fight against this,
- 46:40Speaker 6: or I'm going to get steam rolled, and I'm kind
- 46:42Speaker 6: of right, and yet they're putting up that defense just
- 46:46Speaker 6: increases defensiveness, and now we're just not even listening to
- 46:49Speaker 6: each other. We don't trust each other. We broken boundaries
- 46:52Speaker 6: as far as the things that we've said or done
- 46:54Speaker 6: in the relationship. That's the kind of thing that can
- 46:59Speaker 6: totally be overcome. If those kind of things are getting
- 47:03Speaker 6: in the way of just feeling comfortable in the home,
- 47:08Speaker 6: then I mean, fix some Do those things, change those things?
- 47:13Speaker 6: Those are the kind of changes that really help relationships.
- 47:16Speaker 2: Do you got to go, Michael, Can you hang out
- 47:18Speaker 2: for a couple more minutes or do you got to
- 47:19Speaker 2: get out of good Okay? I want to ask you.
- 47:21Speaker 1: I want to ask you something a little more serious
- 47:23Speaker 1: now about happiness and stuff like that. Michael Venus here,
- 47:26Speaker 1: So Michael being this here from the Marriage and Family
- 47:29Speaker 1: Center at six one three two seven fifty one hundred.
- 47:33Speaker 1: I feel, Michael, like this slow song, I'm going to
- 47:35Speaker 1: slow it down and depress everybody right now with what
- 47:37Speaker 1: I want to talk to you about. But when it
- 47:41Speaker 1: comes to these feelings, as you say, as I talked
- 47:44Speaker 1: to you earlier about being happy, you know, at what
- 47:47Speaker 1: point does my happy versus my misery change our relationship,
- 47:51Speaker 1: you know, or in er out of it? But then,
- 47:54Speaker 1: as I'm thinking about a little deeper, what I would
- 47:58Speaker 1: consider happiness because of my the way I was raised
- 48:03Speaker 1: would be different than what somebody else considers happiness because
- 48:06Speaker 1: of the time they ever raised. Do human beings even
- 48:10Speaker 1: know what true happiness is or true feelings or I
- 48:14Speaker 1: mean misery? I mean what, it's all a matter of
- 48:17Speaker 1: perspective of generation of era. I mean, I don't know,
- 48:24Speaker 1: you know, Michael, because I'm sure you've seen it before.
- 48:26Speaker 1: You look at something and you go, that's just ridiculous.
- 48:28Speaker 1: Why do rub some dirt on it? You'll be fine,
- 48:30Speaker 1: stop crying, you know, and you go, well, wait a second.
- 48:33Speaker 1: That's how I was raised, not how you were raised.
- 48:36Speaker 2: Yeah, so.
- 48:39Speaker 6: I don't know what side you're right there, There are
- 48:42Speaker 6: there's a different sort of There are different attitudes about
- 48:46Speaker 6: feelings now in general than there used to be. That's
- 48:50Speaker 6: for sure. Then our parents did, for sure, you know,
- 48:54Speaker 6: they they did feelings way differently than we didn't their
- 48:58Speaker 6: parents before that. Yeah, so, yeah, there are some kind
- 49:01Speaker 6: of generational differences. People do know whether they're happy or not, Okay,
- 49:08Speaker 6: and it's kind of it could be really difficult for
- 49:11Speaker 6: us to sort of understand what a person's going through
- 49:14Speaker 6: sometimes when we think, well, if I were going through that,
- 49:17Speaker 6: I'd be feeling way differently about this, and so that
- 49:21Speaker 6: can be confusing to us because then we do have
- 49:24Speaker 6: thoughts like, you know, well, you know, are they overreacting?
- 49:28Speaker 6: Is this? Are they really feeling? How could they be
- 49:31Speaker 6: throwing this in that situation when I wouldn't. That's kind
- 49:34Speaker 6: of what makes sense to our brains to think. But
- 49:37Speaker 6: we're not them, and the very best we can do
- 49:40Speaker 6: sometimes is to really try to get what they're going through,
- 49:44Speaker 6: what's happening with them, and as their kind of world
- 49:48Speaker 6: is collapsing in that moment or whatever. You know, when
- 49:50Speaker 6: you watch a little kid lose their balloon, it goes
- 49:54Speaker 6: floating away and they're just like screaming like they've just
- 49:57Speaker 6: lost the body part. And to that kid, they have
- 50:01Speaker 6: so that kid, it is the end of the world
- 50:04Speaker 6: that boom, yeah, and it's going away to give it.
- 50:10Speaker 6: So you know that we are all that little kids.
- 50:15Speaker 6: Our emotional systems might mature, we might have some perspective,
- 50:19Speaker 6: we might realize, Okay, there's other balloons.
- 50:20Speaker 4: In the world.
- 50:22Speaker 6: But really, that emotional system, it just we just we
- 50:27Speaker 6: still have it, and so we're still going to kind
- 50:29Speaker 6: of go through the same sorts of thing. And the
- 50:31Speaker 6: best we can do is, like I said, do our
- 50:33Speaker 6: best to try to understand what somebody else is going
- 50:36Speaker 6: through when they're reacting to something in a way different
- 50:39Speaker 6: way than we might have.
- 50:41Speaker 1: Well I didn't say this, and I don't know who
- 50:43Speaker 1: said it, but somebody said, the hardest thing you've ever
- 50:45Speaker 1: gone through is the hardest thing you've ever gone through.
- 50:47Speaker 1: For you, it might be different than for me. But
- 50:50Speaker 1: I want to go back to the balloon thing. And
- 50:52Speaker 1: this is kind of silly, but the kid loses the balloon,
- 50:55Speaker 1: some parents will go, well, he needs to learn, and
- 50:58Speaker 1: some parents will go, let's just go get them another balloon.
- 51:01Speaker 1: And I don't think either way is wrong. It just
- 51:05Speaker 1: depends on what how you going to how you think
- 51:08Speaker 1: of things, or how you were raised, or how you
- 51:10Speaker 1: feel about certain and when you apply that to relationships,
- 51:14Speaker 1: Well you should accept this because of that, or I
- 51:19Speaker 1: should accept this because of that, and you kind of go, well,
- 51:22Speaker 1: we have different I just I like the way you
- 51:25Speaker 1: said it, Michael. Understanding what they're going through so that
- 51:29Speaker 1: you can kind of be more relatable to what's happening.
- 51:31Speaker 2: And I don't think we do that a lot today.
- 51:32Speaker 1: I think there's a big generation gap of people who
- 51:35Speaker 1: don't do that anymore or don't know how to do
- 51:37Speaker 1: that well.
- 51:38Speaker 6: I mean, who among us would not at least pick
- 51:41Speaker 6: that little kit up and do our best to kind
- 51:43Speaker 6: of give them a little bit of comfort for what
- 51:46Speaker 6: they're going through. Even if us losing a balloon wouldn't
- 51:49Speaker 6: have bad effect on us, you know, it's having that
- 51:52Speaker 6: effect on man. And so I think that's what we
- 51:55Speaker 6: can do with someone else who's going through things in
- 51:57Speaker 6: a way different way than we are, is we can
- 51:59Speaker 6: be that to the kid, you know, just lost the balloon.
- 52:02Speaker 6: Yeah we're not going to cry if our balloon gets away.
- 52:04Speaker 2: Yeah they are.
- 52:05Speaker 11: And so we can kind of go, you know, I
- 52:07Speaker 11: just let me hold your hand for a minute while
- 52:09Speaker 11: we walk, and or let me pick you up and
- 52:11Speaker 11: you know, just kind of carry you a little bit,
- 52:12Speaker 11: or you know, whatever whatever you're going to do as
- 52:14Speaker 11: a parent to just to be there for and with them.
- 52:18Speaker 11: And that's what we do with.
- 52:18Speaker 6: Each other too. Somebody's going through something, it's affecting them hard.
- 52:22Speaker 6: We just were We just try to be with with
- 52:25Speaker 6: them in it, just you know, let's let me just
- 52:27Speaker 6: be with you in this for a little bit.
- 52:29Speaker 1: Yeah, but we tend not to do that with our
- 52:30Speaker 1: spouses as much as we do that with friends or kids.
- 52:33Speaker 1: For some reason, we don't sit there and go, you
- 52:34Speaker 1: know what. I came home and Betty at work just
- 52:37Speaker 1: did this, this and this, and you're going.
- 52:39Speaker 2: Well, it's not that bad. You want to want me
- 52:40Speaker 2: to hear what I have happened on my day or
- 52:42Speaker 2: what you know what I'm saying.
- 52:43Speaker 10: We don't.
- 52:43Speaker 2: We just don't. For some reason, we need just compare,
- 52:48Speaker 2: keep score.
- 52:49Speaker 6: Right right right. I don't know why. I don't know why.
- 52:54Speaker 6: We sort of start to expect our partners to act
- 52:59Speaker 6: in things in the way that we would I don't
- 53:01Speaker 6: know why we do that. We start thinking, well, you're
- 53:04Speaker 6: you're crazy if you're not thinking like.
- 53:07Speaker 1: Because people are stupid, Michael, I keep telling me people
- 53:10Speaker 1: are stupid.
- 53:12Speaker 2: All right? What did you text me here? Let me
- 53:15Speaker 2: get to him already?
- 53:15Speaker 1: Four four seven to seven eight, Romeo, I got to
- 53:19Speaker 1: tell you this. It was so embarrassing. Yesterday I got
- 53:24Speaker 1: home early from work. I was taking care of business,
- 53:27Speaker 1: and my wife actually came home early from work as
- 53:31Speaker 1: well and caught me. I was so embarrassed. I was mortified.
- 53:36Speaker 1: I didn't know what to do. I thought she was
- 53:39Speaker 1: going to be upset, but she wasn't. She just kind
- 53:42Speaker 1: of laughed it off, but I couldn't believe it. She said,
- 53:46Speaker 1: that's what guys do, and then we ended up. Okay, well,
- 53:51Speaker 1: I mean it worked out for you, but I was
- 53:55Speaker 1: so embarrassed. I'm still embarrassed. I was still embarrassed a
- 53:59Speaker 1: small when I saw my wife before we left for work. Okay, well,
- 54:05Speaker 1: I mean your wife obviously. If your wife didn't care,
- 54:09Speaker 1: I mean, why would you care?
- 54:11Speaker 2: Already? Four two five fours seven to seven.
- 54:14Speaker 1: Hey, but we all have embarrassing moments, right, What was
- 54:18Speaker 1: your most embarrassing moment? Apparently this guy had his most
- 54:20Speaker 1: embarrassing moment yesterday when his wife came home and caught
- 54:23Speaker 1: him handling business without her, so at least he wasn't cheating,
- 54:27Speaker 1: right already, four two five fours seven to seven. Let's
- 54:30Speaker 1: talk about your most embarrassing moment. Let me think what
- 54:34Speaker 1: my most embarrassing moment was. Wow, that's tough. Oh that
- 54:41Speaker 1: is that's tough. Do you guys have one that stands
- 54:45Speaker 1: out where you were just so embarrassed? M that's tough.
- 54:51Speaker 1: That's a tough question. Answer already. Four two five fours
- 54:54Speaker 1: seven to seven. What was yours? Oh, it was yours?
- 54:56Speaker 1: You got an embarrassing moment? I have a feeling a
- 54:58Speaker 1: lot of them. We're gonna have to do with sex,
- 55:00Speaker 1: right alright? E four two five four seven seven A Romeo.
- 55:05Speaker 1: I was out one night with my friends drinking. I
- 55:08Speaker 1: ran into my baby daddy. We got drunk, we were
- 55:11Speaker 1: hanging out. We went back to my place, you know,
- 55:15Speaker 1: jumped in the sack. The next morning, he was passed out.
- 55:20Speaker 1: Our son came in, jumped on us like we were
- 55:24Speaker 1: a happy family, and said, Daddy, you're here. I was
- 55:30Speaker 1: absolutely mortified because me and him had been broken up for.
- 55:36Speaker 2: Like two years. There was no way I wanted my
- 55:38Speaker 2: son to see that. Yeah, well, I mean it happens.
- 55:44Speaker 2: I don't know why he.
- 55:45Speaker 1: Would be embarrassed. So like, what did your you know,
- 55:47Speaker 1: what did your son think? Like?
- 55:50Speaker 2: What did he? Yeah?
- 55:52Speaker 1: All right, I mean the worst things could happen to you, right,
- 55:55Speaker 1: all right? Eight four two five, four seven to seven.
- 55:57Speaker 1: Like I said, you got what is your most embarrass moment.
- 56:01Speaker 1: We're talking about embarrassing moments right now. What was your
- 56:03Speaker 1: most embarrassing moment? Good morning out, what's going on?
- 56:06Speaker 5: An embarrassing moment?
- 56:07Speaker 2: Yeah, what's up?
- 56:08Speaker 6: Man? So all my seventeen years.
- 56:11Speaker 5: Old, my new high school as a player.
- 56:13Speaker 2: You know, I went through.
- 56:16Speaker 5: I went to the boying. I even with my sister,
- 56:18Speaker 5: brother in law, cousins, a bunch of us. I haven't
- 56:21Speaker 5: the universe. There was a prupal girl next door us,
- 56:25Speaker 5: so I'll checking them out there checking me. I was like,
- 56:27Speaker 5: you know what I want to you know, kind of
- 56:30Speaker 5: I think the city walk in front of them, the
- 56:33Speaker 5: pretty good man. I want to go try and pull
- 56:36Speaker 5: a strike, and I struck out bad. I'm passed out
- 56:38Speaker 5: there online And when he gets hip free letting on
- 56:41Speaker 5: my ass. Oh my god, I was the worst thing
- 56:44Speaker 5: ever broke. I got my crap. They were all laughing.
- 56:48Speaker 3: I got my crap and I left.
- 56:50Speaker 4: I just walked out to building.
- 56:52Speaker 1: Oh my god, that's there is nothing worse than embarrassing
- 56:56Speaker 1: yourself when you're trying to be cool right right, Although
- 57:00Speaker 1: you should be embarrassed for calling yourself a player at seventeen,
- 57:03Speaker 1: but okay, all right, Ben, thanks for calling.
- 57:12Speaker 2: I gotta tell you.
- 57:12Speaker 1: There's a lot of situations to be embarrassed. I mean
- 57:16Speaker 1: embarrassing situations that.
- 57:18Speaker 2: We've all been in.
- 57:20Speaker 1: But one of the worst is when you're trying to
- 57:23Speaker 1: be cool and you just you embarrass yourself. That's one
- 57:26Speaker 1: of the worst. Already four two, five, four or seven seven?
- 57:29Speaker 1: All right, your most embarrassing moment? What do you got
- 57:31Speaker 1: a four to two, five, four, seven to seven? Let's see, Hey,
- 57:35Speaker 1: rom I was out with friends and I wanted to
- 57:37Speaker 1: go home early as I'm not a big drinker, so
- 57:40Speaker 1: I knew I had to fake drunk so I could
- 57:43Speaker 1: leave early.
- 57:43Speaker 2: So I begin to pass.
- 57:45Speaker 1: Out, and my friends were like, uh, take her home, Oh,
- 57:50Speaker 1: take her home. And suddenly one of my friends comes
- 57:53Speaker 1: up to me and says, I got you all virgin drinks.
- 57:56Speaker 2: What are you doing.
- 58:01Speaker 1: I looked at her and smile. That was so embarrassed.
- 58:05Speaker 1: I said, you know, it's time for me to go home.
- 58:09Speaker 1: Oh that's pretty funny. That's pretty funny.
- 58:12Speaker 2: Hey, Robio.
- 58:12Speaker 1: I went on a cruise years ago. I got a
- 58:15Speaker 1: cute dress from a vendor. I wore it and was
- 58:19Speaker 1: walking up the stairways to the next level. The wind
- 58:22Speaker 1: hit me so hard it went all the way up
- 58:25Speaker 1: to my armpits.
- 58:26Speaker 2: There was a whole row of old people.
- 58:29Speaker 1: The top of this at the top staring at me,
- 58:32Speaker 1: and I said, I hope you didn't see anything.
- 58:34Speaker 2: They said, we saw it all. I died laughing.
- 58:40Speaker 1: I thought that only happened in the movies where the
- 58:42Speaker 1: dress got blown up like that. Wow, that's hilarious. Already
- 58:48Speaker 1: four two four seven to seven. What's your most embarrassing moment?
- 58:53Speaker 1: All right, so let's talk about their most embarrassing moments?
- 58:57Speaker 1: Already fourteen fat four seven to seven.
- 59:00Speaker 2: He Romeo.
- 59:01Speaker 1: Some friends of mine. We went to Vegas for the weekend.
- 59:06Speaker 1: We were drunk and I took I accidentally had my
- 59:10Speaker 1: friend's room key instead of mine. Somehow they got switched.
- 59:15Speaker 1: So we were out partying. One night. I came back
- 59:18Speaker 1: to the room, thought I was walking into my room.
- 59:22Speaker 1: Ends up, I was walking into her room. She was
- 59:25Speaker 1: going at it with some dude. I was so embarrassed.
- 59:28Speaker 1: I couldn't believe it, and I just you just took off. Well,
- 59:36Speaker 1: why are you embarrassed? If you walked in on your
- 59:38Speaker 1: friend having sex with somebody else? Why would you be embarrassed.
- 59:42Speaker 1: I mean, shouldn't she be embarrassed? I'm not really sure
- 59:46Speaker 1: about that, but okay.
- 59:48Speaker 2: I could see that. I could see that.
- 59:50Speaker 1: I mean, now, maybe if you walked in on your
- 59:52Speaker 1: parents having sex, I could see you being embarrassed. But
- 59:55Speaker 1: your friend, I don't know already. Fourteen, five, four or
- 59:58Speaker 1: seven to seven? What was your most embarrassing moment?
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: Sorry? Four two, five, four, seven to seven?
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: A ram A.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: Pretty embarrassing thing happened to me while I was working.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: I work outside and go door to door. I was
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: crossing the street and didn't realize the curb I was
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: about to step on was higher than normal and totally eight.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: Oh you know what, in front of a lot of traffic.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: I know, I'm on someone's ring, doorbell camera footage, you know, falling.
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: That's not embarrassing, I mean yeah, I mean it's funny,
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: but not embarrassing. It happened, sciorting on what's going on?
- 1:00:36Speaker 8: I have an embarrassing moment?
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: What happens?
- 1:00:38Speaker 8: So I was at a funeral?
- 1:00:40Speaker 6: Oh god, and you know that was my first funeral.
- 1:00:44Speaker 8: So you're not breaking down, I'm crying. I'm just not
- 1:00:48Speaker 8: doing okay.
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: Then finally everyone leaves the casket in the area.
- 1:00:53Speaker 8: So I'm missed and I'm like, oh my god, this
- 1:00:57Speaker 8: is somebody I don't even know. And then I'm walking
- 1:01:02Speaker 8: away and my friends starts laughing already, so I had
- 1:01:05Speaker 8: to start to laugh with a cry.
- 1:01:09Speaker 6: You know, Oh my god, one of.
- 1:01:11Speaker 8: The girls that I knew that she was one of
- 1:01:14Speaker 8: my students. She goes, I didn't know you knew my grandpa,
- 1:01:17Speaker 8: I said, no, did, Yeah, I went to the wrong funeral,
- 1:01:27Speaker 8: you know. And I didn't even think twice about else.
- 1:01:30Speaker 8: It's like just a lot of people in here.
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: I do not know that is Hilaire. Oh my god,
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: that's funny.
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: I deserved of work for that.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: That is a great story. Oh my god, I don't
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: even know how that happens.
- 1:01:44Speaker 5: And she doesn't.
- 1:01:45Speaker 8: She doesn't live it down because I women went to that,
- 1:01:48Speaker 8: you know, I said.
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: Man, stop, I said, stop.
- 1:01:52Speaker 8: It's so embarrassing. And I know my student was right
- 1:01:55Speaker 8: next to her. I didn't know you.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: Already.
- 1:01:59Speaker 8: Oh. I could not stop myself from black. But it
- 1:02:03Speaker 8: had to be like a you know, like a strong
- 1:02:05Speaker 8: blas Yeah.
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: Yeah, that's hilarious.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: That's great, that's great, Thanks for coming. Oh that's hilarious.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: Already four two, five, four or seven to seven.
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: You got an embarrassing moment. It's already four two, five
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: to four or seven to seven. A Romeo.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: I was out one night at the club and I
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: ran into this chick that I kind of knew. I
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: thought she was still married, but she wasn't, so we
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: hooked up. Went back to her place. I got up
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: in the morning, I was walking around in my underwear.
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: I go into the living room to the kitchen to
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: grab something to drink. There's a man sitting on the
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: couch with a kid. It ended up she was divorced,
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: but she still lived with her husband and son.
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: It was so awkward and embarrassing.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: I just ran back into the room, grabbed my clothes,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: and took off. Later on, I found out when I
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: talked to her that they were just living together because
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: they couldn't afford.
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: To separate.
- 1:03:17Speaker 6: Wow.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: I don't even really know what.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: To say about that, that that could be embarrassing and awkward. Yeah,
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: already four two five, four, seven to seven.
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: I'm trying to think. I remember when I was in college.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: I was I went home with this girl, but we
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: had known each other for a couple of years and
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: We went home together one night after the bar and
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: her roommates came out while we were on the couch.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: But that wasn't embarrassing for me. Probably more embarrassing for
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: the roommate. But man, her ex husband and her kid
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: are sitting on the couch, probably watching cartoons, eating cereal.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: You're in your Today's getting ready to go get some
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: some juice.
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: Huh?
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: All right, oy, brom, I got an embarrassing moment for you.
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: I met this girl when night we went back to
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: her place, did our thing. The next day, woke up
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: buck naked in her bed apparently she left for work,
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: and her roommate was waking me up.
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: Nice, good morning. Now, what's going on?
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: I got a good one for you, bro.
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: What happened?
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: So at my old job when I was like twenty, I'm.
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: Older, are you all right?
- 1:04:29Speaker 6: So I was like twenty years old. I was at
- 1:04:30Speaker 6: this old job and I'm training the.
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: You guy and he's very quiet, very serious, you.
- 1:04:38Speaker 6: Know, showing him the ropes. And I've known a ship
- 1:04:43Speaker 6: that I used to go.
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: Out with, not even go out, you.
- 1:04:46Speaker 5: Know, mess around with rolls up and I'm like, oh.
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: What's up?
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: You know?
- 1:04:51Speaker 5: WOOKI woo, and the guys there never said that.
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: Being the one night we're closing up and after the same.
- 1:04:58Speaker 5: Girls across the street and we're all the guy who
- 1:05:01Speaker 5: are standing there and now, oh you see that girl there,
- 1:05:06Speaker 5: and everybody's like, yeah, I go, man, bro, are you.
- 1:05:08Speaker 11: So you know?
- 1:05:09Speaker 5: Are you you know?
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: And then everybody started laughing because when you guys didn't
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: look at me, he goes, oh, that's that's my wife.
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:05:20Speaker 5: I didn't even know what to say that you guys
- 1:05:23Speaker 5: didn't come back to work day or anything.
- 1:05:29Speaker 6: I didn't even like, you know, I don't even know what.
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: At least you have some humility about you. That's good man,
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: that's good, all right, brother, thanks for calling it.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: Then thirty fourteen five four or seven and seven ozer
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: for the guy that hooked up with the girl and
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: her husband walked in. Uh, he says, he hey, roam Uh.
