- 0:00Speaker 1: Sorry, I'm good. Welcome to Heavy.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Mag Thank you for having me.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Oh, welcome. You guys are absolute metal legends.
- 0:14Speaker 3: I don't know if you're a metal legend and we're
- 0:16Speaker 3: still alive. Hey, before become before become legend. Let's wait
- 0:21Speaker 3: until we fix this string which is moving. Oh I
- 0:24Speaker 3: didn't expect that.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Oh there we go, Hey, studio, is that right?
- 0:29Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, I'm sitting in the studio. Actually, nice, want
- 0:32Speaker 2: to figure out here we go?
- 0:34Speaker 1: Give me to a oh nice deck? Excellent, all those buttons.
- 0:43Speaker 2: It's an old style studio.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Hi, you're the best, absolute best.
- 0:47Speaker 4: And we've done a lot of recording on an old
- 0:49Speaker 4: school nave and it's massive, custom build and it's just.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a necessary so same thing, same vibe.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you're just a little bit small, so you guys.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Sorry, it's a nice thing, you know. Yeah, yeah, but
- 1:05Speaker 3: it's always the same thing, which is repeating myself.
- 1:08Speaker 2: It's just like you.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Mix it, but on a bigger scale.
- 1:13Speaker 4: So you guys have got a new album that's coming out.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Yes, congratulations. You want to tell them?
- 1:20Speaker 4: This is of heavy Hair A little bit about your
- 1:23Speaker 4: I like that the album names her generation.
- 1:26Speaker 1: That's pretty interesting, is.
- 1:32Speaker 2: What was your thought when.
- 1:33Speaker 4: You almost like generation erection, I'm like, let's combine it
- 1:37Speaker 4: to her, like you know, call bayt make giggle. I
- 1:42Speaker 4: have a sense of humor of a twelve year old boy,
- 1:43Speaker 4: don't mind you.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Which is good. But in fact it's like there's a
- 1:47Speaker 2: this is a part of it.
- 1:48Speaker 3: The other part is like, you know, almost erectus so
- 1:51Speaker 3: standing tall, yes, yundercount almost directors. And then you have
- 1:56Speaker 3: the gender you know, and you are in this world
- 1:58Speaker 3: generation you know, Boomer and egg, Generation X and generation
- 2:02Speaker 3: or whatever, and we we're like, what about generation and
- 2:04Speaker 3: generation rock?
- 2:06Speaker 1: I like it. That's that's very cool, that's very relevant.
- 2:10Speaker 1: I like it.
- 2:11Speaker 4: I'm stuck in the cusp of I don't know whether
- 2:13Speaker 4: I'm Gen X or I'm gen Why. I've got millennials
- 2:16Speaker 4: that I gave birth through twenty something years ago.
- 2:18Speaker 1: That do my head in.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Understand metal metal, generation metal.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Generation metal.
- 2:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Then we're just like, it's just stating through the ages.
- 2:30Speaker 1: We don't age. It's just timeless, correct yees.
- 2:34Speaker 4: So tell us about the album. How long did it
- 2:36Speaker 4: was it in the making and how did it come
- 2:38Speaker 4: to day?
- 2:40Speaker 3: Well, we were we finished the date with you know,
- 2:43Speaker 3: the gift with Colon and then we started to collect
- 2:45Speaker 3: idea of course, and then we got together, we put
- 2:48Speaker 3: the ideas on the table and then we start working
- 2:51Speaker 3: on it. And yeah, it didn't do that much because
- 2:53Speaker 3: you know, everybody was exciting, and when there's excitement, the
- 2:57Speaker 3: time is going very fast, right things of the movie.
- 3:00Speaker 3: Actually it was like a bunch of months and then
- 3:02Speaker 3: we recorded a record. The record was already finished the
- 3:05Speaker 3: end of last year, so then it took a while
- 3:08Speaker 3: because of the changing of lineup of the record company.
- 3:11Speaker 3: So and then they postponed and postponing and again postponed,
- 3:14Speaker 3: and so the reason it took a little bit of time.
- 3:16Speaker 3: And then of course, meanwhile from the last release from
- 3:19Speaker 3: the record, there was some gigs with Coleone and with
- 3:22Speaker 3: my former bank got heard. So we've been out of
- 3:25Speaker 3: the road a lot. And yeah, but you know, not
- 3:29Speaker 3: that much time to get the record together. Was like,
- 3:32Speaker 3: as I said, the excitement was there, and you could
- 3:34Speaker 3: feel excitement on the record, I believe. Yeah, you see
- 3:37Speaker 3: the energy which is there, and you know we're happy.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Yeah, you can tell, which is awesome. That's what it's
- 3:43Speaker 1: all about.
- 3:43Speaker 4: You know, if you feel good and the audience is
- 3:45Speaker 4: going to feel good and it's just about frtting the
- 3:47Speaker 4: good vibe out. And I gave the Sneaky listen and
- 3:50Speaker 4: it is.
- 3:50Speaker 1: It's good.
- 3:51Speaker 4: It's it's classic solid metal rock and fans love it.
- 3:57Speaker 2: I'm glad you have. I'm glad you like it.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, Like I always say, it's not fuck, don't
- 4:02Speaker 1: fix it. You know, if you've got a signature sound
- 4:04Speaker 1: that works, you know, that's that's always a good thing.
- 4:06Speaker 1: So yeah, so is it do you find this?
- 4:09Speaker 4: I was was it different in the sense of making
- 4:12Speaker 4: it incompared previous someone as you've done, or just make motivation?
- 4:17Speaker 3: Not? The motivation is cool because I mean, nowadays you're
- 4:19Speaker 3: lucky and you have to be happy to have a
- 4:22Speaker 3: record if you have a record deal and then the
- 4:24Speaker 3: record calmly say well you have to do a record.
- 4:26Speaker 2: You go like, wow, that's great, you know, because this music.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Business became very difficult, as you may know. And then
- 4:33Speaker 3: I think we're, as I said, very lucky. So the
- 4:35Speaker 3: motivation is already there, and the motivation that we we
- 4:39Speaker 3: it's coming every night when we're going out on the
- 4:41Speaker 3: road and you see the fan happy to see what
- 4:43Speaker 3: we're doing, and you know, the support support us.
- 4:46Speaker 2: They supported us for more than thirty years, you know.
- 4:49Speaker 2: And then I mean it's very easy to find the motivation, isn't.
- 4:53Speaker 1: It It is, you know, and like you say, you've
- 4:56Speaker 1: for some time, you.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Face the motivation is like to be thankful to the
- 4:59Speaker 2: family order.
- 5:01Speaker 4: Absolutely, you know, that's the main about the fans. There'd
- 5:05Speaker 4: be very little reason to play just for.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Love of it, maybe unless unless you have a huge, huge,
- 5:12Speaker 3: just you know, bedroom, and you're gonna end up on a.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Bedroom or in the practice room.
- 5:18Speaker 1: A lot of good music doesn't get out of the bedroom,
- 5:20Speaker 1: you know that of the game.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm afraid it is.
- 5:25Speaker 1: It's true though.
- 5:26Speaker 4: You know, there's a lot of great musicians and you think, well,
- 5:29Speaker 4: but some people just don't have you know, they created,
- 5:32Speaker 4: but they don't have the mindset to be able to
- 5:34Speaker 4: take it further. And it's yeah, rare that you get
- 5:37Speaker 4: discovered in your bedroom, but it's how it is. But yeah,
- 5:41Speaker 4: like you said, you know, you've been doing it for
- 5:42Speaker 4: some time. You've been in an industry to see the
- 5:45Speaker 4: change and big changes. You know, for yourselves, it's not
- 5:48Speaker 4: selling record store anymore. It's not all about.
- 5:52Speaker 2: I don't even still exist in the record store.
- 5:54Speaker 1: No, I don't think they do. I know people still
- 5:56Speaker 1: do make final about.
- 5:58Speaker 2: This is where we end up, you know.
- 5:59Speaker 3: And then well, of course there's now the new way
- 6:01Speaker 3: of listening to music and you know, consume music. But
- 6:04Speaker 3: it's a little bit different, and you know, we have
- 6:06Speaker 3: to go with the with the floor or whatever you
- 6:08Speaker 3: call it, which I think is a shame in one way.
- 6:10Speaker 2: But that's it. That's what it is.
- 6:13Speaker 3: We can carry around a little you know, a little
- 6:17Speaker 3: device and you could get access to a million and
- 6:20Speaker 3: million and a medium songs.
- 6:23Speaker 1: We're spoiled, an't we.
- 6:25Speaker 2: It's it's kind of spoilt into one way.
- 6:28Speaker 3: But then again you have to give something and yes
- 6:33Speaker 3: what it is.
- 6:34Speaker 4: And likes you know, it depends like yourselves that have
- 6:35Speaker 4: been able to maintain that flexibility and roll with the changes.
- 6:40Speaker 4: It's all about, you know, Like you say, it's not
- 6:42Speaker 4: so much obviously you're streaming, but it's the live music
- 6:45Speaker 4: scene and putting that out and doing that out and getting.
- 6:48Speaker 1: A fence to come along. I think that's you know,
- 6:50Speaker 1: more critical now than it ever was. And you know,
- 6:53Speaker 1: there's more, there's more energy and people love it, you know.
- 6:55Speaker 1: After COVID and everything we went through as a world,
- 6:59Speaker 1: and you know, one.
- 7:00Speaker 4: Nation of all of us all we all got shut down.
- 7:03Speaker 4: And there's a lot of gratitude there the fact that
- 7:05Speaker 4: we can get out and still go and enjoy music
- 7:07Speaker 4: such as yourself, which is what we love to do.
- 7:10Speaker 3: As long we're not gonna get any any robots. Is
- 7:13Speaker 3: gonna play live music? We are?
- 7:16Speaker 4: You know, I say that a lot too artists that
- 7:19Speaker 4: that's one thing that technology will never be able to replace.
- 7:22Speaker 4: And that's you know, that exchange between you know, a
- 7:25Speaker 4: musician and it's live audience because you just can't there's
- 7:28Speaker 4: no way technology can. It's it's gonna be Yeah, they
- 7:32Speaker 4: can't do it, will never happen, never be.
- 7:34Speaker 2: The same, bless you know it life not I guess.
- 7:37Speaker 4: Hell nor And but look even if they came up
- 7:39Speaker 4: with an alternative, it's still not going to be the same.
- 7:42Speaker 4: Like do you know you being a performer and you
- 7:44Speaker 4: know being in the audience, it's it's a survive, but
- 7:47Speaker 4: it's an energy that is just so unique to performing.
- 7:51Speaker 2: And yeah, and luck in office he left this right
- 7:56Speaker 2: will be down the dreen.
- 7:57Speaker 1: En Yeah, yeah, pastures, yeah.
- 8:03Speaker 3: The market, like go back on the woods, chat, keep
- 8:05Speaker 3: playing and exercise that you're going to get as good
- 8:08Speaker 3: as you can and just go out on the road
- 8:09Speaker 3: and play. And if you don't have a record company contract,
- 8:13Speaker 3: well it may going to happen in all the way.
- 8:15Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, keep on keeping on and you guys are
- 8:19Speaker 4: being consistent.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Let's say, consistency is the key. You know. I think
- 8:22Speaker 1: you know, there's not really been a lot of change
- 8:25Speaker 1: in your line up that over the years, has there?
- 8:28Speaker 2: No?
- 8:30Speaker 3: You know, I think like as I said to me,
- 8:33Speaker 3: there's still a live music which is this.
- 8:36Speaker 2: This is didn't change change a little bit of shape,
- 8:38Speaker 2: but this is the way to go. And on the
- 8:39Speaker 2: rest is like whoop yep, yeah. Work back then, you know.
- 8:44Speaker 3: When when music there was no music industry back then,
- 8:46Speaker 3: you know, the King I had musician to get the
- 8:49Speaker 3: you know, the.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Party go and if you want to call it that way.
- 8:54Speaker 3: So and I think it's pretty much the same thing
- 8:56Speaker 3: now beside anything and no many quick left.
- 9:00Speaker 2: At least we have something we could carry, the music, right.
- 9:05Speaker 1: That's it. That's it.
- 9:06Speaker 4: It's all about you know the love of the music
- 9:07Speaker 4: and to play and to you know, to experience it.
- 9:10Speaker 1: And you know, I think it's that's in.
- 9:13Speaker 4: The changes that we've seen is that you know, there's
- 9:16Speaker 4: a lot of room for now for like and like
- 9:18Speaker 4: to bring your own and have a bit more control
- 9:20Speaker 4: over how you know, present your music, and which is
- 9:24Speaker 4: good because you know, you're not contracts are you know,
- 9:27Speaker 4: loosely binding to a degree these days, not like they
- 9:29Speaker 4: used to be. And it's it's good because you've got
- 9:32Speaker 4: that that control, you know, in the sense of the
- 9:35Speaker 4: ownership of your own stuff, which is really cool.
- 9:38Speaker 2: I think it's pretty cool. Yeah.
- 9:39Speaker 3: And actually there's control more than control, more control thing
- 9:43Speaker 3: you have more freedom, which.
- 9:45Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what's what I was thinking of. It's not
- 9:46Speaker 4: control because that it's not freedom exactly right. And yeah,
- 9:52Speaker 4: there's a peace, love, immunity, you know, and they and
- 9:56Speaker 4: it to be that inspiration for the young kids, like
- 9:57Speaker 4: you know, do you find that you've got some really
- 9:59Speaker 4: young kids that your shows and fans that you just
- 10:01Speaker 4: think this is awesome?
- 10:03Speaker 2: Yeah, it is. I mean we have generation in front
- 10:05Speaker 2: of us from the grandpath.
- 10:06Speaker 3: To the the grand kid is it's really it's it's amazing,
- 10:10Speaker 3: you know.
- 10:11Speaker 2: But that that shows that shows that the.
- 10:15Speaker 3: Music we're doing, it's yeah, it's melody is like you
- 10:18Speaker 3: unite people music, so unite people and not get tear
- 10:21Speaker 3: them apart, right, sorry, and and then and that's that's
- 10:26Speaker 3: that's a very important thing. That's somehow, somehow, I.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Think in the last decade went a little bit on
- 10:32Speaker 2: the off side, you know, with some music genre.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Maybe there was like a little bit more it was
- 10:36Speaker 3: to watch violence involved somehow, no verbal violence or whatever.
- 10:41Speaker 2: I'm not here to Josh.
- 10:42Speaker 3: I'm just saying that it would be nice that music
- 10:45Speaker 3: would get people together.
- 10:46Speaker 2: And not tear them apart. That's my point.
- 10:48Speaker 3: And what we were doing with Coreoni and God we
- 10:50Speaker 3: try to keep this, you know. It's just like, hey,
- 10:53Speaker 3: ye are a human being. We live in and we
- 10:55Speaker 3: share this world. Yeah, let's share some opinion. And you
- 10:58Speaker 3: can like one song. I don't like the song, but
- 11:01Speaker 3: that's a different story. That's a taste, which is like
- 11:04Speaker 3: you're not gonna you know, you know, you're not gonna
- 11:06Speaker 3: you can start arguing, but you're not gonna start to
- 11:08Speaker 3: fight because you love the Beatles and you're the word
- 11:11Speaker 3: love Bob Dylan or whatever.
- 11:13Speaker 2: It's just like whatever it is, right, that's it.
- 11:15Speaker 4: And like you know, you get these hardcoreed metal fans
- 11:17Speaker 4: that are like, oh, you know, if it's not this,
- 11:19Speaker 4: it's not that. And I've always said, you know, like
- 11:22Speaker 4: a true musician and a true artist, you know, it
- 11:25Speaker 4: takes our inspiration from all genres, like you.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Know, everywhere and everywhere, and music.
- 11:31Speaker 4: Is good music regardless of what it fits into you
- 11:34Speaker 4: like with the label or general category. If it's yeah,
- 11:37Speaker 4: it's it's really funny to see you know, that kind
- 11:40Speaker 4: of banch that can go on in the scene. It's
- 11:43Speaker 4: just like really like, come on, it.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Means also very important.
- 11:47Speaker 3: It's like the message is very important, you know, like
- 11:49Speaker 3: whatever message you give to the next generation, to the
- 11:51Speaker 3: people out there, because somehow we are We're not politician,
- 11:55Speaker 3: but we are people listen to what we're saying, right,
- 11:58Speaker 3: and that's very important. Absolutely, you have the melody and
- 12:03Speaker 3: then at the end of the day, what remains is
- 12:05Speaker 3: the melody and the word.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Yeah, you're right, So you better think about it.
- 12:10Speaker 3: When you believer something, people out there are going to
- 12:13Speaker 3: listen to what you're saying and your melody, right, and
- 12:16Speaker 3: that's the thing.
- 12:16Speaker 1: That's what and being mindful of that that you have
- 12:19Speaker 1: that influence too, is it's really cool.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Yeah, you have to it's a very it's a very delicate, absolute.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Situation, and it's very important to keep it in mind,
- 12:32Speaker 2: you know.
- 12:33Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, absolutely, no, I agree, And it says I said,
- 12:36Speaker 4: it's a credit credit to yourselves and it gives a
- 12:39Speaker 4: you know, I always say that the nicest people in
- 12:41Speaker 4: music are the metal heads, you know, because they really
- 12:43Speaker 4: are just kind of souls and it's you know, sometimes
- 12:48Speaker 4: you know, the themes that might be you know, quite
- 12:49Speaker 4: dark and like hard and full on, but underneath it all,
- 12:52Speaker 4: I think it's that interpretation of it as well, and
- 12:54Speaker 4: what you take from it, and you know, and if
- 12:57Speaker 4: that what you're pushing behind your own works is a
- 13:01Speaker 4: positive thing, then.
- 13:02Speaker 1: It's it's gotta be a good thing.
- 13:04Speaker 2: That's what it is.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Yeah, Yeah, for sure, for sure. We'll look if I
- 13:08Speaker 1: made us generations happy for you know, just say thirty or.
- 13:12Speaker 3: We're gonna we're gonna we're gonna give the rock and
- 13:15Speaker 3: roll to the happy generation next one.
- 13:17Speaker 4: Yeah, you're gonna you know, and just keep going on,
- 13:19Speaker 4: you know, so you can't keep going on like you know,
- 13:21Speaker 4: he will you on stage. Yeah, and what a legend
- 13:31Speaker 4: he was, you know, what he gave to metal and music,
- 13:34Speaker 4: you know, But so thankful.
- 13:37Speaker 3: What donation, what big card at the end, you know,
- 13:39Speaker 3: just like I don't recall politician that they did that.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Yeah, that's right, that's right, you know, that's what I'm saying. Yeah.
- 13:46Speaker 4: No, definitely metal heads and musicians in general. I think,
- 13:51Speaker 4: you know, some of the world's best, finest people, the
- 13:54Speaker 4: ones that we should be saving the apocalypse.
- 13:58Speaker 2: But let's stay out from the politics because I think.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I can have that. No, we I think
- 14:04Speaker 1: we survive on our own just fine.
- 14:06Speaker 4: If we didn't, it wouldn't be anarchy, it would be
- 14:08Speaker 4: be quite a well organized situation.
- 14:11Speaker 1: I would like to think, delegrated by wash pits here there. Yeah, no,
- 14:22Speaker 1: it's it is, and it's good.
- 14:24Speaker 4: It's good to know that you guys have been doing
- 14:25Speaker 4: it for all this time and I've still got that
- 14:27Speaker 4: really positive, you know, essentially beautiful message to that brings
- 14:31Speaker 4: with it, which is why we do what we do,
- 14:33Speaker 4: and why you do what you do, and why the
- 14:35Speaker 4: listeners and fans you know, give us give you that
- 14:38Speaker 4: time too, which is so much better.
- 14:41Speaker 3: To give you time and just give energy and you know, vibe,
- 14:44Speaker 3: and that's what that's what we can try to do,
- 14:46Speaker 3: you know. And I think that's that's the best thing
- 14:49Speaker 3: to do. Is just like there's not if you if
- 14:52Speaker 3: you give a smile, most of the time you get
- 14:54Speaker 3: the smile back.
- 14:55Speaker 1: So true, so true, it is very it is, it
- 15:00Speaker 1: really is. It's the good It's the simple stuff, but
- 15:03Speaker 1: the good stuff. So you guys got any plans to
- 15:05Speaker 1: take the new album tour coming up with us?
- 15:08Speaker 3: We're gonna we're gonna start September and then September October
- 15:11Speaker 3: we're out and yeah, we're doing some shows in Europe
- 15:16Speaker 3: and kill d I think from the twenty or twenty
- 15:19Speaker 3: first of October, and then we have some shows still
- 15:22Speaker 3: we Gottard and then it's Christmas.
- 15:23Speaker 2: I guess it's another Christmas. It seems like yesterday was
- 15:27Speaker 2: the last Christmas.
- 15:28Speaker 1: I know.
- 15:30Speaker 2: We're gonna dour with t which what.
- 15:32Speaker 3: I said, we are gonna be on tour with taiketto
- 15:34Speaker 3: which is it's gonna be. It's a great band. Actually
- 15:36Speaker 3: we played some some show, some festival this summer and
- 15:39Speaker 3: then the great, great share great singer.
- 15:41Speaker 2: The singer is super and shape singing great.
- 15:43Speaker 3: So there's gonna be a lot of melody's a lot
- 15:45Speaker 3: of rock and roll, and it's gonna be a.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Nice package, I believe, and we're excited to hit the road.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Actually yeah excellent. And any plans yeah again, any plans
- 15:55Speaker 1: to come down onder?
- 15:57Speaker 2: That would be super cool.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Have you guys been outing before? Oh?
- 16:03Speaker 2: You never know?
- 16:03Speaker 3: And will be cool if somebody say, hey can you
- 16:06Speaker 3: can you come more?
- 16:07Speaker 2: But let's find it, let's find someone.
- 16:11Speaker 1: We'll have to like hit John up and go away
- 16:13Speaker 1: the feelers out.
- 16:17Speaker 2: We've got to. We have a Nick Meadow, which is
- 16:19Speaker 2: you know, grew up in Australia in Melbourne.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, we're gonna hit but we never we have
- 16:25Speaker 3: had a call from the Australian guy.
- 16:28Speaker 4: You definitely know the people like getting get him, get
- 16:31Speaker 4: him move from some strings again, how did you guys
- 16:34Speaker 4: end up with an Australian reader, which.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Is like you know from with you know, our promercing
- 16:39Speaker 3: had an accident and addition that we found it. Actually
- 16:44Speaker 3: it's a Swiss guy, which which he grew up in
- 16:46Speaker 3: Australia and all of a sudden he was the guy
- 16:48Speaker 3: who made it.
- 16:49Speaker 4: And so we're just like, you know, we'll softly call
- 16:55Speaker 4: you Australians now we'll claim you as our own intendatively.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Well, he got the Cosspoort, So I don't that's the
- 17:02Speaker 2: past one for all the band.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Oh that's lovely, No, that's awesome, that's so good. That's yeah.
- 17:09Speaker 4: We like to put a little bit of the gred
- 17:11Speaker 4: and gold, spread it around the world and to the
- 17:13Speaker 4: good people and some great you know, some great artists
- 17:16Speaker 4: in the scene coming up. And it's good to see
- 17:18Speaker 4: that the young bands as well that are still you know,
- 17:20Speaker 4: doing the live music, which is really encouraging and seen
- 17:23Speaker 4: a few good ones.
- 17:26Speaker 1: It's very healthy.
- 17:27Speaker 4: And as I was saying, yeah, like some of the
- 17:30Speaker 4: young bands that are coming up, they they're just great.
- 17:32Speaker 4: You know, they've got the energy, they've got the vibe,
- 17:35Speaker 4: and they're just in one particular full Flower Moon band.
- 17:38Speaker 4: They're called two girls on bass player, one lead singer
- 17:41Speaker 4: and the rest of guys. And they're young and they've
- 17:44Speaker 4: just had an insane year. They started off, you know,
- 17:48Speaker 4: did a show last year. Now beginning of this year
- 17:50Speaker 4: they were supporting the Food Fighters that will be later
- 17:53Speaker 4: on in the year. They're also supporting Primus and Queens
- 17:57Speaker 4: of the Stone Age. So very happy to they're a
- 17:59Speaker 4: local brisbe and bands, so very happy for them. So
- 18:02Speaker 4: there's a lot there's a lot of you know, just fresh, fresh,
- 18:06Speaker 4: new bands.
- 18:06Speaker 2: And the young dynasty goes on.
- 18:10Speaker 1: It does it doesn't.
- 18:11Speaker 4: It's you know because I get to go to these
- 18:13Speaker 4: gigs and see them and review them, and it's just
- 18:15Speaker 4: always so encouraging. And you know, they doesn't matter how
- 18:18Speaker 4: young they are. It's just like they've just got that
- 18:21Speaker 4: you know what.
- 18:22Speaker 3: When you see some shows with Airborne last year, yeah,
- 18:27Speaker 3: I think our seeing from the other side, and I
- 18:31Speaker 3: think it was working with monolog of the with the
- 18:33Speaker 3: front men of the Head, I think.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I know. It's so it's always good to
- 18:39Speaker 1: have good connections. You know.
- 18:40Speaker 4: We we might export them occasionally for a little people,
- 18:42Speaker 4: we bring them back.
- 18:46Speaker 1: And it's becoming you know, I think it's you know,
- 18:49Speaker 1: there's not that neat or that that drive to like
- 18:52Speaker 1: especially like you have your sort of metal you know,
- 18:55Speaker 1: to have to go overseas.
- 18:58Speaker 4: You know, before you know you're embraced by your own.
- 19:01Speaker 4: It's there's that the scene is becoming quite healthy. It's
- 19:05Speaker 4: really nice to see because nice.
- 19:07Speaker 3: To hear that because I think that rock and roll
- 19:09Speaker 3: needs needs to have a place to go for it
- 19:12Speaker 3: like moment for sure, it's it's hard to get those
- 19:16Speaker 3: those stone out there, not just but in Europe is
- 19:18Speaker 3: a little bit freaky.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Still.
- 19:20Speaker 3: Yeah, there's a this trend which they're coming in goes
- 19:23Speaker 3: but you know, yeah, we're going to.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Give the spirit a life and that's absolutely yeah.
- 19:29Speaker 4: No live music and this is what your local live
- 19:31Speaker 4: music is. That's what I always say. It's it's a
- 19:34Speaker 4: good thing, you know. So we're all doing it for
- 19:36Speaker 4: love right here, some of us.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Yeah, no, it is.
- 19:40Speaker 4: It's very very very encouraging, and especially for the young
- 19:43Speaker 4: ins and and those of us who have been doing
- 19:45Speaker 4: it for a little while, we're timeless, like an enigma.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Yeah, we are timeless. That's a good statement.
- 19:57Speaker 1: It's true. It's true though. It's good music is, especially metal,
- 20:01Speaker 1: you know.
- 20:01Speaker 4: And then I had this discussion with another artist I
- 20:04Speaker 4: think the other week, was you know, there's the whole
- 20:06Speaker 4: trend with metal is that like even the fashion and
- 20:09Speaker 4: then the whole thing.
- 20:09Speaker 1: It just hasn't changed over the years. It's been steady
- 20:13Speaker 1: pretty much the same, which is really cool.
- 20:15Speaker 2: It's like that's the same thing.
- 20:19Speaker 1: And Doc Martin's you know, the same thing. They just
- 20:21Speaker 1: haven't changed, you speak of my language, same shop. I
- 20:27Speaker 1: guess probably I actually had the originals made in England,
- 20:31Speaker 1: so not the ones that were. Yes, I know they're
- 20:35Speaker 1: they're they're worth keeping onto those ones. Even though my
- 20:38Speaker 1: daughter tried to steal them for a few years, took
- 20:40Speaker 1: them back. They're vintage heirlooms. Now I've seen a lot
- 20:45Speaker 1: of festivals they have, I'll tell you, oh dear, well, look,
- 20:51Speaker 1: thank you so much for having a chat with us
- 20:52Speaker 1: today at having it's been a legitimate.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Very funny.
- 20:59Speaker 4: Yeah, I know, it's good good times. I love interviews
- 21:01Speaker 4: like these are great.
- 21:02Speaker 1: And congratulations on your new album that's coming out. What
- 21:04Speaker 1: days come out?
- 21:05Speaker 2: Is?
- 21:06Speaker 1: What's the release date for that? The release date.
- 21:10Speaker 4: Album eleven of September eleventh day, Yeah, well September eleven.
- 21:15Speaker 4: We put some good music out there and give the
- 21:17Speaker 4: day a different meaning.
- 21:18Speaker 1: It's good.
- 21:18Speaker 2: Well that would be a good message actually.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Absolutely, Yeah is what it is.
- 21:25Speaker 3: You know, you cannot always keep on remember what happened
- 21:27Speaker 3: in that day, and there's so many If you start
- 21:29Speaker 3: thinking that that you're not going to go out from
- 21:31Speaker 3: your house because every day is something happened.
- 21:34Speaker 1: But everything wants to kill you.
- 21:36Speaker 2: Well, yeah, you never know.
- 21:39Speaker 1: You go like a if you come to Australia. Everything
- 21:42Speaker 1: wants to kill you. Our wildlife, you know that's happened.
- 21:44Speaker 2: So you're not going to move from home.
- 21:50Speaker 1: Gosh, no, it's it's sad. Just had to think that.
- 21:52Speaker 1: You know, if we start really adopting that kind of
- 21:54Speaker 1: way of life, it's definitely life is to be lived
- 21:57Speaker 1: in environments to be taken in for sure, roads to
- 22:02Speaker 1: be traveled. That's been excellent, Thank you so much, and
- 22:08Speaker 1: hopefully we might down here in the near future. It
- 22:11Speaker 1: would be awesome.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Let's hope.
- 22:13Speaker 3: Let's put some some noise out there and say, looking
- 22:16Speaker 3: forward to find a promoter.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Gonna want to have to spend life.
- 22:22Speaker 1: Fils out there not very excellent. Will you take care
- 22:28Speaker 1: and we will chat to thank you for your time. Likewise,
