Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, teresa Kropp, with you it's the Stack no More podcast.
- 0:04Speaker 1: I'm so glad for you to join this.
- 0:07Speaker 1: I got a question for you right at the back.
- 0:09Speaker 1: What if I told you you don't have to hustle to make your business, your podcast or your creative work succeed, that you are actually designed to work from the overflow, not overwhelm?
- 0:22Speaker 1: If you've been watching me, I've been talking about how I teach and how people are learning how to create a podcast from the overflow of their relationship with God.
- 0:32Speaker 1: It's not just a podcast.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Some say, hey, t, I'm not having a podcast.
- 0:36Speaker 1: I got a business, but does it work for that?
- 0:38Speaker 1: Yes, this podcast, this episode, I'm sharing three simple, life-changing keys to help you shift from striving to achieving.
- 0:48Speaker 1: And yes, it works, no matter what business, no matter what product you're selling, no matter your ministry.
- 0:53Speaker 1: So let's talk about it first.
- 0:56Speaker 1: I know that in the past, after I retired from radio back in 2006,.
- 1:01Speaker 1: I'm working on the radio now, but after that, I really wanted to help my financial situation for my family and I was the hustle queen.
- 1:10Speaker 1: I was constantly.
- 1:11Speaker 1: I remember waking up early in the morning.
- 1:13Speaker 1: I'd have my time with God, then I would study marketing and there was some push.
- 1:18Speaker 1: It was a strain.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Then, as the years go by, I realized wait a minute, there's some keys that I'm missing.
- 1:28Speaker 1: I'm just I'm acting like it's all up to me.
- 1:30Speaker 1: I'll never forget it.
- 1:31Speaker 1: I was reading the word one day and jesus was like what can I do for you?
- 1:36Speaker 1: And then I saw that in second kings, chapter four, where elisha comes up to the widow who's in debt and he says what can I do for you?
- 1:44Speaker 1: And then he says what do you have in the house?
- 1:46Speaker 1: We're not going to go that total different direction.
- 1:49Speaker 1: I love that story, I love talking about it, but I want to give you three keys right now.
- 1:54Speaker 1: That goes from overflow to outcome serving God beyond the financial pressure.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Key number one is real simple Where's my little plaque?
- 2:05Speaker 1: Key number one is like this I got a plaque.
- 2:08Speaker 1: You can't on my podcast, see it.
- 2:09Speaker 1: It's called Fueled by Jesus and Coffee.
- 2:12Speaker 1: That's it.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Key number one is prioritizing your intimacy with God over income.
- 2:21Speaker 1: It's like freedom to create as God creates out of the overflow of your intimacy with God.
- 2:28Speaker 1: I get it, I understand.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I know you have mouths to feed, I know you have invoices to pay and I know it's easy to wake up and be led by your to-do list.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Or, the worst thing, wake up, grab your phone and be led by the fear that that creates in you and you're watching people's outcome of maybe 20 years of work and you start to feel insecure, you start to feel pressure.
- 2:51Speaker 1: But what if you grab the word and a cup of coffee and just sit with Jesus?
- 2:56Speaker 1: First, I've learned this when I pause to choose what I'm going to feel with my mind, when I pause in his presence yeah, drinking my coffee and I choose to believe the word, a shift happens where I can go from there to my time at work.
- 3:15Speaker 1: And oftentimes it's like I can remember 10, 11, 12 years ago I was really religious about my time with God.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Okay, it's like this.
- 3:24Speaker 1: I'd like, okay, I'm time for my time with God, and I would bury my head in there, striving, even in my time with God.
- 3:30Speaker 1: And then there'd be a little idea and I like, push that thing back, mama, don't you see, I'm having my time with God.
- 3:37Speaker 1: I go back.
- 3:38Speaker 1: And then here came another idea and I'd stop having my time with God.
- 3:45Speaker 1: It wasn't until some pastors and teachers.
- 3:47Speaker 1: I realized, listening to them, that hey, listen, if you're having your time with your father, don't you think those strategies and ideas are coming from him?
- 3:56Speaker 1: Let me tell you, I have had some of the best strategies come when I'm spending time with God.
- 4:03Speaker 1: You know, john 15 is one of my favorite chapters the vine dresser.
- 4:05Speaker 1: I'm spending time with God.
- 4:05Speaker 1: You know, john 15 is one of my favorite chapters the vine dresser.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I talk a lot about that, but John 15 five reminds us that apart from Jesus, apart from him, you can do nothing.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Boom, but not even a well-run business.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Okay, you may have a well-run business, but do you have the peace?
- 4:23Speaker 1: Do you have the joy?
- 4:24Speaker 1: Are you always looking for ideas?
- 4:26Speaker 1: Is there an overflow going on?
- 4:27Speaker 1: Ah, this is so crucial when you prioritize this time with him and the wisdom and the anointing comes in.
- 4:37Speaker 1: I think the anointing brings a favor and with favor, you can do things in five minutes that might take you three hours because you're coming from the overflow.
- 4:46Speaker 1: So, whether that's clients, creativity or cash flow, it can come without force, without the push.
- 4:55Speaker 1: The push says it's all up to me instead of walking in your identity.
- 5:01Speaker 1: I love using YouVersion for my time with God, especially in a period of time when I couldn't see at all.
- 5:07Speaker 1: So I learned to read on my iPad and I learned to use YouVersion.
- 5:11Speaker 1: I still use it.
- 5:12Speaker 1: I love the prayer section.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Oh, the prayer section is unbelievable, but anyway, I was reading in a devotional and this so fits this number one, point number one, and I don't remember the author, but it was so powerful I put it inside my prayer list and I want to read that to you.
- 5:29Speaker 1: And it's part of the joy, the overflow, of prioritizing your relationship with God over income.
- 5:38Speaker 1: This is what I read.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Now take a moment to look toward the future.
- 5:42Speaker 1: What new ideas are brewing within your heart?
- 5:46Speaker 1: What freedoms do you feel in your creativity?
- 5:50Speaker 1: What lessons learned are helping to propel you forward?
- 5:55Speaker 1: Listen to this your gifts of creativity may not seem like much in your hands, but with God's plan, they can bring healing, hope and love to others.
- 6:06Speaker 1: It goes on.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Stay willing and open to the journey.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Trace his hand within each step and watch as what he's placed within you gets developed and shows up in extraordinary ways.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Remember his faithfulness.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Trust his resume and look forward to your future with hope.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Trust his resume.
- 6:36Speaker 1: I think that leads to point number two, where you anchor your identity in sonship, not in stewardship.
- 6:44Speaker 1: When I say sonship, it's like you're his much loved son, you're his much loved daughter, and this trips us up, because this is where the striving comes.
- 6:52Speaker 1: We really feel like we have to prove ourselves.
- 6:55Speaker 1: It's all up to me, so I'm going to push, I'm going to hustle.
- 6:58Speaker 1: God isn't looking for workers first.
- 7:01Speaker 1: He's looking for sons and daughters.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Romans 8, 16 says we are heirs, not hirelings.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Who are you in Christ?
- 7:10Speaker 1: You're a much-loved son, a much-loved daughter.
- 7:12Speaker 1: When you deeply know I am his beloved, you stop trying to work to earn it.
- 7:18Speaker 1: You stop looking into the camera with the thought of your credit card you need to pay off and you start speaking from that place.
- 7:25Speaker 1: No, you speak from.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Hey, I'm a much loved son, I'm a much loved daughter.
- 7:29Speaker 1: I'm going to stop measuring myself.
- 7:32Speaker 1: I'm going to come from the overflow and speak shoulders back.
- 7:37Speaker 1: I already belong to someone.
- 7:40Speaker 1: His name is Jesus.
- 7:41Speaker 1: I belong in the kingship the Boaz.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Jesus is my redeemer.
- 7:47Speaker 1: I'm redeemed.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Your worth is fixed and secure, and that's when you become a powerful steward.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Because you're not doing it to earn God's love, you're doing it because you already have it.
- 8:03Speaker 1: There's such a thing called the orphan spirit, and Leif Hetland, a preacher and a teacher and an evangelist, talks a lot about it.
- 8:10Speaker 1: He has an amazing book about it and I remember a number of years ago I had a chapter in the Kingdom Mentor Academy about the orphan spirit and I was so honest.
- 8:21Speaker 1: I go, okay, guys, I'm trying to come out of the orphan spirit, I'm trying to come from not striving, and it was the mentorship was all about your identity.
- 8:29Speaker 1: But an orphan spirit is minded in that, is rooted in insecurity, fear and striving, and I would, even in the midst of the teaching I was doing a lot of that on the outside, believing I must earn love, provision and acceptance, and it often left me feel abandoned and alone, not to mention the trauma I was walking through.
- 8:52Speaker 1: So it was a double whammy.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I understood a sonship, but I was learning how to walk in it.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Still, from the overflow of my relationship with God, I learned, even as I was teaching, that sonship is the identity of knowing that you are fully loved, accepted and provided for as a child of God.
- 9:15Speaker 1: You're living from a place of belonging, rest and inheritance.
- 9:22Speaker 1: You're living from the place of rest to run, as Sarah in chapter 11, 11 in Hebrews, where her faith rested in the authority of the one who called her and she tapped into his faithfulness.
- 9:36Speaker 1: She knew she had a great promise.
- 9:37Speaker 1: But finally she's like.
- 9:38Speaker 1: She embraced God's miracle working power, even though she was barren, and she her faith, trusted in the authority of the one who called her.
- 9:49Speaker 1: And then she ran.
- 9:51Speaker 1: She started to understand hey, I'm a daughter of God and God promised my husband and he said that he's going to have children as many as the stars.
- 10:01Speaker 1: So she understood at that point.
- 10:04Speaker 1: It's not up to me.
- 10:06Speaker 1: I'm going to trust, I'm going to put my faith in the authority of the one who promised.
- 10:13Speaker 1: As Leif Hetland teaches, an orphan works for approval.
- 10:17Speaker 1: A son lives from approval.
- 10:20Speaker 1: An orphan works for approval.
- 10:23Speaker 1: A son lives from approval.
- 10:26Speaker 1: And as you learn that you're a son, a daughter, that you're living from the approval, and that has everything to do with working from the overflow, which is number three, write this down Faith is the currency of heaven.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Faith is the currency of the kingdom.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Oftentimes we make decisions driven by lack or scarcity.
- 10:52Speaker 1: We make those decisions based on I only have this much and God's calling you just to walk faithfully in a path.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Fear leads to survival mode, and survival mode is not an inheritance of God.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Believe you me, I have lived in survival mode in more ways than one, growing in my relationship, realizing I'm a much-loved daughter, and then realizing faith is the currency of the kingdom of God.
- 11:21Speaker 1: I can walk by faith and not by sight.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Hebrews 11, 6 says without faith it's impossible to please God, and those who believe him believe that he provides.
- 11:33Speaker 1: I need to have the other section of that Without faith it's impossible to please God.
- 11:39Speaker 1: I don't know about you that stops me in my tracks.
- 11:42Speaker 1: I'm going to continue on my relationship with God.
- 11:46Speaker 1: I'm going to know I'm a daughter of the King.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Okay, business done out of fear?
- 11:50Speaker 1: Oh, my goodness, it's that push.
- 11:52Speaker 1: It feels heavy.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Oh, my goodness, it's that push.
- 11:57Speaker 1: It feels heavy, it feels anxious, it feels rushed.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Business done out of fear leaves me in the hustle mode, and that hustle mode really stamps out my creativity in a heartbeat.
- 12:09Speaker 1: It makes me feel like I have to do things or I have to follow a certain way to make my business successful, and then there may be some success.
- 12:18Speaker 1: But okay, you may have some success, but do you have peace?
- 12:21Speaker 1: Do you have joy?
- 12:23Speaker 1: Faith is the currency of the kingdom of God.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Faith is the currency that you can run your business on.
- 12:32Speaker 1: It's like this.
- 12:34Speaker 1: When business is done by faith, this is beautiful.
- 12:38Speaker 1: You have the peace and I think a lot of times the creativity comes forth and it's God-ordained strategies.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Like I said, you can get them even from your time, from God, but you're walking in faith.
- 12:53Speaker 1: You might like.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Okay, god, you told me about this idea and when I was in the Word, this is me.
- 12:58Speaker 1: God you told me I could.
- 13:00Speaker 1: I'm teaching that I can use ChatGPT.
- 13:03Speaker 1: It knows me and I can use it and, out of the overflow, be able to create some content.
- 13:10Speaker 1: That's my voice, not ChatGPD's voice, and as I see this happen, I get so excited to spend time with God.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Don't get me wrong.
- 13:18Speaker 1: I worship him, I pray in the spirit, I hang out Jesus and coffee.
- 13:22Speaker 1: But in the process of doing that I become known, chosen, worthy, loved enough.
- 13:30Speaker 1: That's another little plaque.
- 13:31Speaker 1: If you're listening, I have that right there.
- 13:34Speaker 1: I am known, I am chosen, I am worthy.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Worthy means I am righteous.
- 13:39Speaker 1: I can say I'm righteous because he who knew no sin became sin on my behalf so that I might become the righteousness of God in Christ.
- 13:46Speaker 1: And I'm enough.
- 13:47Speaker 1: But I have to have faith and action to believe those.
- 13:51Speaker 1: So when I step up to my computer and start to work in the back of my mind.
- 13:56Speaker 1: I know I'm known by God, I know I'm chosen.
- 13:59Speaker 1: I'm feasting off the fact that I'm worthy and that I am enough.
- 14:07Speaker 1: The faith keeps the not enough away.
- 14:12Speaker 1: So when you choose faith over fear, it's like your business.
- 14:18Speaker 1: You'll notice your business isn't just successful, it becomes sustainable.
- 14:22Speaker 1: And another thing is, I think you start to enjoy it more.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Sometimes there's parts of providing for yourself and having a business from home or trying to create the next episode of your podcast.
- 14:34Speaker 1: You can lose that joy.
- 14:35Speaker 1: But if you go back up to step number one, prioritize your relationship with God.
- 14:41Speaker 1: There's a promise in his presence is fullness of joy, and there's also a verse that says the joy of the Lord is your strength.
- 14:49Speaker 1: So in a way these are intertwined.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Prioritize your relationship with God.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Know that you are a son, a much-loved son, much-loved daughter of the King.
- 14:59Speaker 1: You know identity.
- 15:00Speaker 1: You are co-heirs with Christ and then you let faith be the currency of your business.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Faith be the currency of heaven, the currency of your business.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Faith be the currency of heaven, faith be the currency of the kingdom of God and you start to see a fullness provision.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Maybe you see provision, but it's coming to you.
- 15:22Speaker 1: In that new idea, you're setting up the shell of that business that's going to be sustainable because you heard it from God.
- 15:29Speaker 1: I'm serious.
- 15:31Speaker 1: When I was doing the Second no More Academy, I was trying to figure out the order and I hadn't quite got the order yet and I sat down with God with my open little notebook and I have my iPad connected to a Logitech keyboard.
- 15:46Speaker 1: I still use it, but I also scribble things and there was the six steps and the seventh is a bonus with the call with me.
- 15:54Speaker 1: I mean, I got that while I was sitting with God.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Oh, I love it.
- 15:59Speaker 1: So listen, listen.
- 16:00Speaker 1: You're not called to hustle for crumbs, but to feast on the overflow of God's goodness.
- 16:08Speaker 1: I learned about God's goodness and that you can come from his kindness and gentleness.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I learned that a couple of days ago and I love to incorporate that.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Think about that God's goodness and God's kindness and his gentleness.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Do you know what that means?
- 16:22Speaker 1: It means when you have those times with God, you actually get to hear the whispers from heaven, and in the whispers comes the assurance that you're enough.
- 16:31Speaker 1: But it also in those whispers also come divine strategies.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Once again, a word from God.
- 16:39Speaker 1: With his favor, you can do more in 30 minutes than you could in hustling, bustling all day long.
- 16:45Speaker 1: I truly believe that, because in all three of these something happens, you start to walk in the favor that God has for you.
- 16:55Speaker 1: As you prioritize your business, as you realize you're a much loved son or daughter, as you activate your faith, all of a sudden God opens the doors, God's favor comes in and you see what you read in the word become a reality in your own life.
- 17:11Speaker 1: So take these keys, apply them and watch how God shows up in your business, how he'll show up in a podcast episode and come on, or show up on your continued creativity and being a much-loved son or a much-loved daughter.
- 17:31Speaker 1: I end with an example.
- 17:32Speaker 1: A friend of mine had to do a major speech at a major conference and she was not allowed to talk about a relationship with God.
- 17:40Speaker 1: But do you know what?
- 17:42Speaker 1: The overflow still came because she spoke with kindness.
- 17:46Speaker 1: She spoke from the wellspring of her relationship with God.
- 17:49Speaker 1: She didn't say Jesus, jesus, she just lived Jesus.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Jesus, in front of these people, spoke the words of God.
- 17:56Speaker 1: She didn't say thus, saith the Lord, sometimes just your living, I told her girl you could say peanut butter and the anointings there because she had done these three steps.
- 18:07Speaker 1: She prioritized her relationship.
- 18:09Speaker 1: She knows she's a much loved daughter and she knows she has to walk by faith, not by sight.
- 18:14Speaker 1: And she showed up and it was the most powerful time.
- 18:18Speaker 1: The organizer, who told her she could not say the name of God, was crying at the end when she was taking her off stage.
- 18:27Speaker 1: The organizer was crying the anointing.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Walking in these steps will bring the anointing and some people.
- 18:35Speaker 1: It's going to affect them.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Cry joy, not fear.
- 18:39Speaker 1: I think you're meant to walk in that place and yeah, I do.
- 18:44Speaker 1: I'm very passionate about helping faith-driven voices create podcasts because someone needs to hear your wisdom from your quiet time.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Someone needs to hear your strategies.
- 18:55Speaker 1: So if you want to go deeper and learn step-by-step how to create a podcast from the overflow and yeah, I've got some crazy AI tools yes, we've all heard of ChatGPT, but I can show you how it can so know your voice that it can sound like you and you just can be able to operate as yourself with some little bit of help for time, so it doesn't take you all day to do a podcast.
- 19:25Speaker 1: So we're in the waiting season right now for season two of the Second no More Academy.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Go to my show notes, get on the wait list.
- 19:33Speaker 1: You'll get some amazing resources while you wait.
- 19:36Speaker 1: I'll actually show you in one of the resources how I made a podcast from the overflow and using chat GPT.
- 19:43Speaker 1: It's just a short video.
- 19:44Speaker 1: I'll show you how I actually do it and, of course, there's a ebook that talks about the overflow and impacting the kingdom of God.
- 19:52Speaker 1: So I appreciate you.
- 19:54Speaker 1: I really appreciate you hanging in there with this one Because listen, listen.
- 19:59Speaker 1: When it's all said and done, you are valuable.
- 20:01Speaker 1: You don't have to hustle.
- 20:03Speaker 1: You can overflow and truly serve God beyond any financial pressure.
- 20:12Speaker 1: You may feel All right, share this if this blesses you, write a review.
- 20:18Speaker 1: I'll talk to you in the next episode of the Stuck no More podcast.
