- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing genuine
- 0:13issues. Brought to you by the
- 0:14Hypnotherapist, Demanded by celebrities CE OS and even
- 0:18royalty Adam Cox, These recordings took place live from
- 0:22Evans Clinic in London's world famous Harley Street.
- 0:29So get yourself comfortable and enjoy today's episode of The
- 0:33Hypnotist. Hi.
- 0:39It's Adam here and you're about to listen to.
- 0:42A hypnosis session. All about self.
- 0:46Improvement and self worth. And I was working with.
- 0:50A client that. Had a ritual that they would
- 0:53often do in the. Evenings that was based on self
- 0:57reflection and just. Private.
- 0:59Quiet. Time for themself.
- 1:01And it would really be a useful thing for them.
- 1:04Except that it that had been. Connected to certain unhealthy
- 1:08habits, so quite often they would pour themselves a big
- 1:11glass of wine. Eat snacks and read to themself.
- 1:17Fiction books and actually. There's a lot.
- 1:20About that ritual, that's really positive if it's.
- 1:23Upgraded rather than just stopped so.
- 1:26For example, a lot of people when they drink on autopilot.
- 1:30They. Are not really thinking about
- 1:32the thing that they're doing. A lot of people smoke without
- 1:35thinking. Eat snacks.
- 1:36Without thinking so changing the wine.
- 1:39Into sparkling water, actually. Means that it's still a.
- 1:44Private time for themselves, but it gets enhanced.
- 1:46It gives them more clarity without any.
- 1:48Of the downsides. And instead of.
- 1:52Always reading, actually. Journaling in that same kind of
- 1:56haven. Of solitude.
- 1:58Actually enhances it. So if you.
- 2:00Like the idea? Of either.
- 2:02Building or refining A ritual to enhance the quality of your life
- 2:06give you more cause for reflection and rather than
- 2:09suppressing emotions. And kind of.
- 2:11Eating or drinking? To suppress.
- 2:13Them you actually let them come to the surface and allow them to
- 2:16go from your head onto a page and really think about them,
- 2:19then you might be. Interested.
- 2:21In this hypnosis session, and if you like the idea of working
- 2:24with me, I'd encourage you to register for a webinar that I
- 2:28have. The details are in the
- 2:32description, the actual show notes.
- 2:34For this. Check them out and you'll be
- 2:36able to register and. For anyone that stays to the.
- 2:39End of the webinar I'm actually giving away 10 hypnosis
- 2:42downloads worth about 97 lbs and the webinar is free, but you
- 2:46also get those downloads completely.
- 2:48Free as well, so check that out. For now, though, I'd encourage
- 2:52you to find a quiet, comfortable place where.
- 2:54You won't be distracted or disturbed.
- 2:56To relax. And enjoy the session.
- 3:21Take a deep breath in, and as you breathe in, breathe in that
- 3:31slow, long breath of relaxation. And as you exhale, feel your
- 3:38eyelids getting heavier, jaw looser, sinking into a wonderful
- 3:44feeling of calm relaxation as you breathe in and breathe out.
- 3:58Consider this your time just for you, a sense of reconnecting,
- 4:10recalibrating, a time to connect with you and within.
- 4:23And the deeper you breathe, the more relaxed you feel.
- 4:31And the more relaxed you feel, the deeper you breathe.
- 4:40To take one breath now that belongs entirely to you, for
- 4:48anyone else and not offered in service of something required,
- 4:55just yours. Deep down, there's something
- 5:01you've always understood, even before you had the words for it.
- 5:10But a person cannot give endlessly from an empty vessel.
- 5:17You can't keep pouring from an empty cup.
- 5:19At that quiet space you return to at the end of a particular
- 5:27day is not a retreat from the people you love.
- 5:34You've been using it as a place where you replenish the
- 5:37resources that giving and loving requires.
- 5:46So allow your body to settle now the way that it settles.
- 5:52When that bedroom door closes, the obligations of the day are
- 5:57on the other side of it. The particular quality of that
- 6:03exhale, the shoulders dropping, the face snuff softening, and
- 6:08their sense of finally, this time is mine and I want you to
- 6:18imagine what it would feel like to connect without feeling the
- 6:25feeling that space and time is just for you.
- 6:31Any motives are your motives, any desires are your desires.
- 6:41And here you are in your own space, and maybe you can imagine
- 6:46a current space or an old bedroom from your childhood.
- 6:53Whatever your imagination gives you, embrace it.
- 6:59Connect with that space where everything that follows belongs
- 7:05to you. Because what you understood as a
- 7:12teenager when you retreated to your room with a book and
- 7:18something to eat was something intelligent.
- 7:27A person that deeply recognized and understood a need or a space
- 7:36of their own. A space where no one else's
- 7:42needs came first. A place where you could be
- 7:47yourself without performing any role.
- 7:50And that understanding has never been wrong.
- 7:59The ritual has never been the problem.
- 8:03The place, the reading, the private decompression time.
- 8:11These are not things to be fixed or replaced.
- 8:15They are things to be honoured because they are the ritualistic
- 8:22structure through which you have always known how to take care of
- 8:26yourself, to recharge your batteries, to unwind, to refill
- 8:34your cup. What we're doing now is not
- 8:41removing something precious. We're just refining something
- 8:46that already works, keeping everything that is genuinely
- 8:52yours and quietly releasing the tiny bits that were never the
- 9:01actual point. Your ritual is yours.
- 9:08It is useful private time, words that harness the imagination, a
- 9:19boundary of a closed door. This is self-care and it always
- 9:26has been. What if we upgrade something
- 9:35already good and make it even better?
- 9:41You already know something that you're unconscious can now make
- 9:45permanent. You already know because you
- 9:49lived it. I want you to get a sense that
- 9:59when you've been training, the book was still there, The space
- 10:07was still yours. You came to a realization.
- 10:23Intuitively, You didn't actually need the wine.
- 10:32What you needed was the ritual, the permission, the boundary
- 10:39drawn around this time and this space that says every now and
- 10:44then it's just for you, recharging your batteries,
- 10:53unwinding and releasing whatever needs to be unwound or released.
- 11:04The reading was really about the freedom.
- 11:09The glass of something cold and sparkling was just a prop in a
- 11:13scene. That was never the point.
- 11:19It was just accompanying the point.
- 11:28And I want you to imagine being in that space.
- 11:31I want you to imagine everything is the same, but instead of
- 11:38pouring the wine, just imagine pouring that glass of chilled
- 11:43Perrier. The bubbles the same, the
- 11:48temperature the same, the glass the same, the ritual the same.
- 11:56The ritual is intact, the signal to the nervous system the same.
- 12:05This time is mine. This is for me.
- 12:10And what it adds that the wine didn't offer is the clarity.
- 12:23The clarity in the moment, the clarity when you sleep, the
- 12:30clarity when you wake. The glass in your hand signals
- 12:38the same thing it always has, That this time is yours.
- 12:47The sparkling water is not a compromise.
- 12:51It's an upgrade to the ritual where nothing takes the edge of
- 12:59the clarity and the signal that you deserve.
- 13:18it's been quieting a signal before the signal has been
- 13:24heard. And what if you're unconscious?
- 13:28Can now understand why that has actually cost you something
- 13:51drowned out an intuitive ability to reflect that the feeling was
- 14:02softened before it had a chance to say what it was trying to
- 14:05say? Just imagine a small child
- 14:14that's anxious or worried or stress, and they really want to
- 14:18tell you something, but instead you give them a bag of sweets
- 14:26and they're happy for that moment, but you never get to
- 14:30hear what they were stressed or worried about.
- 14:32And what if that comes at a cost?
- 14:41This anxiety, this stress is your intuition trying to tell
- 14:46you something. And the wine has been drowning
- 14:51it out, suppressing it, submitting it, deflecting it,
- 14:59distracting it, but not quite listening to it.
- 15:06And what if every now and then, instead of reading, you write
- 15:15maybe a journal on your iPad? And maybe not the full time,
- 15:21maybe just 5 or 10 minutes. What if by hearing the intuitive
- 15:28signal and taking it from mind to something that could be read
- 15:34later? What if you allow yourself to
- 15:38sit with a feeling long enough to ask it a question?
- 15:44What is this actually about? What do I actually feel?
- 15:54Is there any truth to it? Would a change be helpful?
- 16:01What does this stress want me to notice?
- 16:03And what emerges may not come straight away, and not always on
- 16:14the first entry, and not always in neat sentences.
- 16:22Is the signal beneath the noise the recurring theme that once
- 16:29you can see it clearly, is something you can actually act
- 16:34on, something that can be changed or accepted or
- 16:39addressed, rather than softened and softened again and ignored.
- 16:51And you don't have to write perfectly.
- 16:56Early entries can be filtered and performative.
- 17:01What if that's required just to get the ball rolling?
- 17:06What if authenticity comes with practice?
- 17:11All that is required is the willingness that when the
- 17:16feeling arrives, you take thoughts into words and words
- 17:25become readable on the screen for later, and to just stay with
- 17:31it long enough to hear, read or listen to what it's trying to
- 17:36say. What if, paradoxically, stress
- 17:44or anxiety is an opportunity? What if when you feel those
- 17:52emotions go to that place with that glass of water?
- 18:01What if you start to write, you sit with the feeling long enough
- 18:06to hear it? And what if it tells you is more
- 18:13useful than anything that would silence it?
- 18:21What if it's empowering to feel rather than to make the feeling
- 18:29go away, and there's a version of you that you already
- 18:36recognize? The person who is confident in
- 18:42their own skin and knows what they think and trust what they
- 18:47feel and makes decisions from clarity rather than people
- 18:57pleasing or validation. This version of you is not
- 19:04waiting for someone else's response to know if you've made
- 19:09the right choice. This version of you has done the
- 19:14reflection, listened to their intuition, makes decisions from
- 19:23a place of empowered clarity. This version of you is not
- 19:30someone who doesn't love or doesn't need the people in their
- 19:35life. This version of you loves them
- 19:39fully, and she loves them from a grounded place rather than a
- 19:46seeking 1. She gives because she wants to
- 19:53give, not because the giving earns or something that couldn't
- 20:01otherwise be felt. And what if this version of you
- 20:07is not distant or aspirational? What if this version of you is
- 20:13the natural consequence of the work that is already underway?
- 20:19Choices like to run a half marathon, to start a journal, to
- 20:27swap wine for water. But keeping the ritual,
- 20:35reclaiming the ritual that is already yours.
- 20:42What if refinement is a step towards the version of you that
- 20:46trusts yourself and needs no external verdict to feel whole?
- 21:08what if that sparkling water in the glass actually gives you the
- 21:18next phase of this ritual? The wine was never the point.
- 21:25The point was always to have clarity, a safe space for your
- 21:33intuition, to communicate with you.
- 21:35And when the stress arrives, when worried thoughts appear,
- 21:44Journaling seems intuitively natural, so you can hear the
- 21:51signal and make decisions from clarity rather than suppression.
- 21:57And what if decisions from clarity lead to incrementally
- 22:09better experiences, more harmony with yourself, better
- 22:14boundaries, which means less stress and less anxiety.
- 22:21But when they do come up, that's also an opportunity for more
- 22:27reflections, more refinement, more empowered decisions.
- 22:35You could imagine that months of doing this would lead to a
- 22:38better life, years, and even better.
- 22:43But imagine a decade of listening to your intuition,
- 22:50making clear decisions. How different would that be to
- 23:00the version of you that, when you're in tuition and
- 23:06unconscious, was trying to talk? You drowned out the volume with
- 23:14wine and snacks. Your intuition wanted you to
- 23:21listen, and now your ritual embraces it.
- 23:31And if your unconscious is willing to make tiny refinements
- 23:42to open the door to more clarity, more empowerment,
- 23:48better quality of life, let me know if I'm nodding your head.
- 23:53That's it. And what if all it takes is to
- 24:00replace a bottle of wine with a bottle of water?
- 24:07That's the very first step in a new sequence of a ritual that
- 24:13will lead to wonderful things. So it's time to leave this
- 24:18place. But you come back with clarity,
- 24:25feeling empowered, feeling that you're on the brink of a
- 24:31wonderful ripple effect to a happier, more confident, more
- 24:37empowered you. So take a deep breath in through
- 24:41the nose and out through the nose.
- 24:46Wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 24:49Connect and calibrate into the here and the now as I now count
- 24:54from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 25:00Starting to count 123 Waking up 456.
- 25:06More alert 78. Open your eyes.
- 25:10Open your eyes 910. Wide awake, Wide awake.
