- 1:31Speaker 1: Go, let's go.
- 1:33Speaker 2: It's a story you need to hear to believe. Then
- 1:36Speaker 2: grab your popcorn, because there is more. Uh, there's a
- 1:42Speaker 2: there's a bunch of good stuff. There's a bunch of
- 1:44Speaker 2: world class stuff going on today.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Uh. We start with in a second, what did I
- 1:51Speaker 1: just do there? We're I'm going to do that there
- 1:54Speaker 1: it is.
- 1:55Speaker 2: We start with President Trump at the Easter egg roll
- 1:58Speaker 2: yesterday and and he's there and he and he's with
- 2:03Speaker 2: the kids. He's with the kids, and he's sitting at
- 2:07Speaker 2: a table where the kids, I know, they're they're coloring
- 2:09Speaker 2: or they're they're they're doing crafts.
- 2:10Speaker 1: And it's a table there and he's sitting with.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Them, and while he's sitting with them, he's like, hey,
- 2:17Speaker 2: you ever hear the auto pen? I can you can
- 2:22Speaker 2: sell them back? So he's there at the table and
- 2:34Speaker 2: he's signing his name on for these kids. He's like,
- 2:38Speaker 2: you can sell it on eBay for twenty five thousand dollars.
- 2:41Speaker 2: And that leads to a conversation about people who can't
- 2:48Speaker 2: sign their name.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Zero, I would say, Caroline zero, interesting, that's nice designed
- 2:59Speaker 3: this said, I do.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Look like doing. Look at what I did. Everybody listen
- 3:07Speaker 1: to this. It's so joyous. You have an autopen po
- 3:19Speaker 1: He was a cat up siding, so they'd followed a
- 3:22Speaker 1: row with the big regimes and odors call and pout,
- 3:26Speaker 1: and he'd have a few autopen shine. He takes a
- 3:29Speaker 1: paper handed to his guys.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Sign I thought the audio quality was clearer.
- 3:36Speaker 1: I apologize. Maybe that was only for me.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Joe Biden, he couldn't sign his own name, so he
- 3:43Speaker 2: had these people carrying around this big thing. You know what,
- 3:46Speaker 2: they called it, the autopen I'm unbelievable. Every day there
- 3:53Speaker 2: is some kind of show. The bigger story, though, is
- 4:00Speaker 2: something that we have discussed here that Republicans have a
- 4:06Speaker 2: path to winning the midterms. It's not an easy path,
- 4:10Speaker 2: but there is indeed a path. Republicans just have to
- 4:13Speaker 2: take it. It's already April, and I don't think they've taken
- 4:18Speaker 2: enough of it.
- 4:19Speaker 1: I don't think they've been strong enough to it.
- 4:21Speaker 2: But one of the things they have in their favor
- 4:24Speaker 2: is that while the Democratic Party focuses on calling Trump
- 4:27Speaker 2: an authoritarian which he's not, screaming about ice because they
- 4:32Speaker 2: don't want to remove I legal immigrants from the country,
- 4:36Speaker 2: and screaming about the Epstein files, which may have fallen
- 4:39Speaker 2: out of at least some favor with the top news
- 4:43Speaker 2: stories of the day, it hasn't fallen.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Out of favor with them.
- 4:46Speaker 2: They believe that this is the way they go about winning,
- 4:49Speaker 2: nothing about policy. Not only did we show that there
- 4:54Speaker 2: is a path, but have discussed that. The people's saying that,
- 5:00Speaker 2: you know, Republicans are just going to get destroyed in November.
- 5:04Speaker 1: I'm not there. I'm not there.
- 5:07Speaker 2: I don't think Republicans are working hard enough. I think
- 5:10Speaker 2: they do a lot to harm themselves. But I am
- 5:15Speaker 2: not there on this great slacking, not in the slightest.
- 5:23Speaker 1: I just don't think it's playing like that.
- 5:26Speaker 2: This was Harry Enton over there at CNN discussing where
- 5:32Speaker 2: Democrats are going into the midterms. This is with a
- 5:39Speaker 2: Republican president, so opposite party president midterms, and he goes
- 5:45Speaker 2: to three years, two thousand and six, twenty eighteen, twenty
- 5:48Speaker 2: twenty six. Harry Enton is the numbers guy, the stats
- 5:52Speaker 2: guy over at CNN.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Hey, this mister Berman, and that is that this lead
- 5:56Speaker 3: is historically law for Democrats at this point with a
- 5:58Speaker 3: Republican president. Because take a look here, and I'm taking
- 6:01Speaker 3: a look at the average of all the posts dem
- 6:03Speaker 3: generic congressional ballot lead at this point in the cycle
- 6:07Speaker 3: with the Republican president.
- 6:08Speaker 4: On average, there leads actually slightly less.
- 6:10Speaker 1: It's five points.
- 6:11Speaker 3: That's less than it was back in twenty and eighteen
- 6:14Speaker 3: when it was eight points, and way less than it
- 6:16Speaker 3: was during the twenty zero six cycle when it was
- 6:18Speaker 3: eleven points.
- 6:19Speaker 4: So yeah, Democrats are ahead, but they're only ahead by
- 6:23Speaker 4: five with a president who's net approval rating is bordering
- 6:26Speaker 4: a minus twenty to minus thirty depending on what post
- 6:29Speaker 4: you look at, you'd make the argument Democrats should be
- 6:31Speaker 4: way ahead and they're just.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Only sort of slightly ahead. Now does that matter? Well,
- 6:39Speaker 1: all things matter.
- 6:41Speaker 2: I guess if you want to play it politically, and
- 6:43Speaker 2: you can spin this to an advantage, But I would
- 6:47Speaker 2: argue that it would comport with the conversation that we've
- 6:51Speaker 2: been having, and that conversation is that Democrats.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Are not as popular as they think. They are.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Nowhere near as popular as they think, they are, nowhere
- 7:12Speaker 2: near as loved as they think.
- 7:15Speaker 1: They are.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Not by any stretch that they have shown themselves to
- 7:26Speaker 2: be unpopular, because well, they're nuts. They don't have a
- 7:33Speaker 2: policy except for men can be women. They don't have
- 7:36Speaker 2: a policy except for we don't care if.
- 7:38Speaker 1: It benefits the country. As long as Trump loses, we're good.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Their policy is illegal immigrants get to stay. Their policy
- 7:46Speaker 2: is we will protect the worst of the worst, especially
- 7:51Speaker 2: when they're the worst to you, the citizen. Every single
- 7:57Speaker 2: policy they touch is one of where is the rational policy?
- 8:07Speaker 2: If you say to me, well, they wouldn't have gotten
- 8:08Speaker 2: into this war with Iran, so they would have allowed
- 8:11Speaker 2: Iran to continue getting a nuclear weapon at pace and
- 8:15Speaker 2: being a terrorist state. They would have allowed the continuing
- 8:20Speaker 2: of shooting at American ships in the Red Sea via
- 8:24Speaker 2: the Huthi rebels. Now I'm not down for that, but
- 8:32Speaker 2: in everything they do publicly, every single thing, America says,
- 8:36Speaker 2: this is just weird.
- 8:38Speaker 1: These are radical, weird people.
- 8:40Speaker 2: And look at the leadership, Gavin Newsome, this is the
- 8:44Speaker 2: guy you want me to vote for?
- 8:48Speaker 1: Or are you still trying to sell me that Pete
- 8:49Speaker 1: Bota Judge is popular, Pete Boota.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Judge still getting zero point zero percent of the black vote.
- 8:56Speaker 2: As I've said here, Nick Pointes could get more black voters.
- 9:00Speaker 1: People to judge.
- 9:05Speaker 2: That they're up by five I think is kind of amazing,
- 9:09Speaker 2: But that they're only up by five with Trump in
- 9:13Speaker 2: office if he's so unpopular, maybe the numbers about Trump's
- 9:18Speaker 2: unpopularity aren't right.
- 9:21Speaker 1: If this number isn't right, and maybe this
- 9:23Speaker 2: Plus five is actually too high, maybe Republicans should still
- 9:29Speaker 2: fight like there are a billion points down and yet
- 9:33Speaker 2: they're not doing it,
