- 0:01The Vedic rishi's sought the truth, the right the vast septum
- 0:08Rhythm Bree had they understood that the awareness limited to
- 0:13the ego personality, the individual body life.
- 0:17Mind complex was incomplete and could not comprehend the truth
- 0:23or meaning of existence. They sought to identify with the
- 0:28larger reality that manifested, our existence as part of its
- 0:32own, not simply as separate beings.
- 0:37But many do not recognize is that this is not some concept of
- 0:41pure philosophy, but an actual experience of Consciousness.
- 0:47Occasionally under a variety of circumstances, individuals,
- 0:53actually shift out of their focus on the personal
- 0:56individuality and experience something of a wider
- 1:00Consciousness. Sometimes in the case of high
- 1:04fever, the individual can experience.
- 1:07Into loosening of the body to the body, awareness and feels a
- 1:12wider Consciousness yet. This is not the state envisioned
- 1:16by the rishi's. This widening while nevertheless
- 1:21exceeding, the immediate boundary of the body
- 1:23Consciousness remains limited and appears to be more of an
- 1:28awareness of the energy body around the physical body.
- 1:33A truer experience of wideness tends to occur in various places
- 1:37that are naturally conducive such as along the ocean or under
- 1:42a star-filled sky or looking across a plane from a large Hill
- 1:47or Mountain. We hear see here, the principle
- 1:51of samyama the process of self-identification as the
- 1:55vision and mood focuses on the wide horizon or endless, vast of
- 2:01space. The mother writes quote, there
- 2:06are many ways of doing this, making the Consciousness vast.
- 2:11The easiest way is to identify yourself with something vast.
- 2:15For instance, when you feel that you are shut up in a completely
- 2:19narrow and limited thought will Consciousness.
- 2:24When you feel as though you were in a shell, then if you begin
- 2:28thinking about something very vast as for example the To the
- 2:32of the Waters of an ocean. And if really you can think of
- 2:37this ocean and if far far, far far in all directions, like this
- 2:43stretches out her arms. How compared with you?
- 2:48It is so far so far that you cannot see the other Shore.
- 2:53You cannot reach its end anywhere neither behind or in
- 2:57front nor to the right or left it is wide.
- 3:02Wide wide wide, you think of this, and then you feel that you
- 3:09are floating on this, see like that and that there are no
- 3:14limits, this is very easy. Then you can widen your
- 3:19Consciousness, a little other people.
- 3:23For example, begin looking at the sky, And then they imagine
- 3:27all those spaces between all those stars and all that kind of
- 3:33Infinity of spaces in which the Earth is a tiny point and you
- 3:38two are just a very tiny Point smaller than an ant on the
- 3:44earth. And so you look at the sky and
- 3:47feel that you are floating in these infinite spaces between
- 3:50the planets and that you are growing vaster and vaster to go.
- 3:56Farther and farther. Some people succeed with this
- 4:01and quote, reference SRI aurobindo in the mother living
- 4:05within the yoga approach to psychological health and growth
- 4:10exercises for growth and Mastery.
