- 0:08Eric: Hello, I'm Eric.
- 0:11Eric: And I'm Andrea, wait, what, who are you?
- 0:14Eric: And this is Hallmark Mysteries and More Wait, I'm confused.
- 0:19Eric: You're not Sydney.
- 0:20Eric: Who are you?
- 0:23Andrea: So I'm Andrea Classen and I'm just popping in to guest while Sydney is off on her honeymoon.
- 0:28Andrea: I'm excited to be here.
- 0:31Eric: I know I cannot believe her priorities So, but Andrea, we have known each other for a long time.
- 0:37Eric: You helped me when I did my Hallmark movie reviewer when we did our little holiday Review, of all that.
- 0:46Eric: we tend to.
- 0:48Eric: You do your reviews over there on Instagram And you tend to agree with me, or I tend to agree with you.
- 0:54Eric: We tend to align pretty well.
- 0:56Eric: So that's not why I asked you to join today, but it will be interesting to see what we thought on the Dancing Detective.
- 1:06Eric: But I have a feeling probably we're going to be pretty aligned just because of the general feedback of the movie, unless you are a crazy outlier, which we will find out.
- 1:18Andrea: I'm excited to find out.
- 1:20Eric: Well, why don't you tell some of the people who may not know who you are a little bit about you and why I asked you to join?
- 1:27Andrea: Yeah, so my Instagram is Hallmark Channel Movies And I review each of the movies and I just kind of put up a little like five star rating what I think out of five stars.
- 1:37Andrea: I have been watching Hallmark movies since Candace Cameron Bray and Tom Arnold's Christmas movie, like years and years ago, and Mysteries has been really what I have loved through the years And so my favorites are Gourmet Detective, which is also one of your favorites, of course.
- 1:55Andrea: Where we don't agree, i really like the Garage Sale Mysteries.
- 1:58Andrea: That's where I think I really fell in love during those series like August, when they used to air them every Sunday.
- 2:05Andrea: That was my favorite month of the mystery movie is just because you know, you got it back to back and you could really see the growth of the characters And I was just kind of reflecting on why I like that series so much.
- 2:15Andrea: And I think it's because Lori Loughlin's character is already married, so she's not kind of chasing after a love interest And she's just chasing after a mystery And I really enjoy that kind of aspect to the mysteries I've kind of discovered.
- 2:31Eric: Okay.
- 2:31Eric: So where are you on Steve Basic?
- 2:34Eric: Is he a hottie?
- 2:37Andrea: I think so, but he also plays the bad guy in Virgin River, so if anyone's watched that, he kind of it's a darker character over there.
- 2:45Eric: Okay, well, sydney and I like when she first told me that she thought he was all ha ba, ha ba, i was like wait what?
- 2:51Eric: But as I've since found I'm greatly.
- 2:55Eric: Now I don't think the guy is like this terrible guy and he looks awesome.
- 3:00Eric: He's got that like crazy hair and stuff going now.
- 3:04Eric: But I was just totally surprised when I found out that And then when I kind of made fun of her for it, all of our listeners came to her defense And then I showed my wife a picture and she was like oh yeah, he's hot.
- 3:21Andrea: Tall, dark handsome.
- 3:22Eric: And I'm not like I don't hate garage sale mysteries.
- 3:26Eric: I just think she is a little, you know, white privileged character And so sometimes most of them, i think sometimes she just sometimes she annoys me a little bit stuff, but it's by no means And I'll say which we're about to.
- 3:39Eric: I guess we're not about talked about, but it's about to watch.
- 3:42Eric: This week is Aurora tea garden, who I am not a fan of that.
- 3:46Eric: That's just one of my least favorite mysteries.
- 3:48Andrea: We disagree there too.
- 3:50Andrea: I really enjoyed that one, but I think it's just because there's so many of them, she can act.
- 3:56Andrea: I grew up on full house, and so that's where I'm like.
- 3:59Andrea: Well, i give her a little there.
- 4:02Andrea: Same with Jody sweet, i enjoy both Okay.
- 4:06Eric: Yeah, so I just whatever Moving on, okay, but yes, your reviews are great And they're awesome.
- 4:15Eric: Like, while we're going to talk for a little while here, your reviews are awesome because you can just read it in just a quick, you know, couple minutes at the most and you get your take.
- 4:25Eric: And since I agree with you, typically I'll say that you're pretty much spot on, so people can go to your advice.
- 4:32Eric: Though we did get into it a little bit this weekend when you totally slam death Chronicle mysteries, which is fantastic.
- 4:42Andrea: I gave it four stars out of five.
- 4:43Andrea: That is not dissing it.
- 4:46Eric: Which is four or two little.
- 4:47Eric: It's a great, it's a great mystery.
- 4:51Andrea: So that's probably one of my lower.
- 4:53Andrea: I guess of the series that the only one I really don't like is the picture perfect.
- 4:58Andrea: That's the only one I could say I'm not a big fan.
- 5:01Andrea: Of the rest of them I totally will watch.
- 5:03Andrea: I would watch again, but that one is not my favorite quick question when was a lot?
- 5:07Eric: Have you rewatched it?
- 5:10Andrea: The picture perfect.
- 5:10Andrea: Yeah, i mean, i've tried.
- 5:13Eric: when they're like on, i'll put it on, and I can't do it because when we did our review of it I was kind of going along kicking and screaming and Dar really liked it and so that's, she was guest on it and so that's why we went with that and I really like this.
- 5:27Eric: I was like, well, i'm going to get beat up and I rewatched it and I actually had a whole different appreciation when I rewatched and went at it with a different lens and appreciated it for sort of the stylistic element of it.
- 5:42Eric: I do think that the mysteries and for the most part I never knew who they were, so I thought the mysteries are pretty good in there, but I can see like I did not like it at first.
- 5:52Eric: I thought they were trash and they're terrible and it's partly because I think maybe they're not my favorite.
- 5:57Eric: Couple their movies.
- 5:58Eric: The oddly thing is I think they do well with other people, but when they get paired together, i think they have they don't have chemistry, which I find this weird.
- 6:08Andrea: Yes, I loved her in the hockey one with Yes.
- 6:13Eric: I think that was great, but yeah, taking a shot at love.
- 6:15Andrea: Yes, but together I agree, it's I don't know.
- 6:18Eric: Yeah, maybe there's two comfortable.
- 6:20Eric: Maybe, Okay, Andrea.
- 6:22Eric: Well, one of the things we do is we create a cocktail for each episode And for the Dancing Detective, Deli tango, we have the gin and tango, And this is is two ounces of gin, a couple blueberries, two ounces of lime juice, some buzz bees, botanical tonic water and some time springs.
- 6:41Eric: And what you do is you blend them the blueberries and the time together with the lemon juice, and then you strain that through a cheese cloth and then you put it into the glass with some ice cubes, pouring the gin, top it off with the tonic and then garnish it with the blueberries and the sprig of time.
- 6:58Eric: And I found this to be sort of like a sophisticated yet fun cocktail which I think coincides with what I think this movie was.
- 7:09Eric: So there you go, You can go ahead and have a gin and tango, All right.
- 7:15Eric: And here's the what IMDB which I assume is what hallmark says about the Dancing Detective a deadly tango.
- 7:22Eric: When a high profile CEO is murdered on the eve of his company's corporate event in Malta, a high stakes ballroom competition between senior executives, Detective Bailey is sent undercover as one of the contestants.
- 7:37Eric: I think probably hallmark probably had a better one than that, but I guess that kind of sums it up doesn't mention will at all.
- 7:45Eric: I don't know, He was a little bit critical to this movie, I think, I don't know.
- 7:50Eric: Hopefully it's a little bit.
- 7:52Eric: So what we're going to do to get started with is why don't you tell me a little bit what you liked about the Dancing Detective, if there was anything, or did you absolutely hate it and so there's nothing you'd like?
- 8:05Andrea: Yeah, i liked.
- 8:05Andrea: I thought there was great like funny one liners, i thought we'll deliver them wonderfully and his like physical and comedic timing I thought was great.
- 8:15Andrea: I thought beautiful scenery, great fashion.
- 8:20Andrea: I really liked the dancing scene in the water And that was about it.
- 8:27Eric: Wow, that's not very much cheese.
- 8:29Andrea: I know.
- 8:29Andrea: So I said I'm like I'm never going to be asked back after my review of this movie.
- 8:34Eric: It's going to be interesting.
- 8:34Eric: So I I agree I thought there was a lot of humor in it.
- 8:38Eric: When I talked to will, he sort of gave me a hint And we saw the preview with him doing his little you know accents in the car driving away.
- 8:47Eric: I was like as expecting it, but I thought, yeah, a lot of those little one liners with you know, and I was like I'm not going to be asked to do it.
- 8:55Eric: I'm not going to be asked to do it.
- 8:56Eric: I think it's kind of funny.
- 8:57Eric: When she was talking to him by the different detectives was kind of fun, which I watched when I watched it a couple times and I could not find a time when she actually called him by his name And I was like I'm Sebastian, so I don't know if that was a sort of supposed to be something we picked up on.
- 9:22Eric: That all of a sudden you became you know no longer the different different detectives, no longer miss my ball or or pro or or any of those.
- 9:33Eric: But Rockford was my favorite.
- 9:35Eric: I like that one.
- 9:38Andrea: Maybe because I'm a little bit older.
- 9:39Andrea: Oh love Jessica Fletcher reference.
- 9:44Eric: All right.
- 9:44Eric: I really liked when Sebastian put his arm around her when they were like first showing up and he was just like, oh yeah, my wife.
- 9:51Eric: And she was just like, what are you doing?
- 9:53Eric: and they're walking around, my dog's going crazy.
- 9:56Eric: We'll forget them.
- 9:57Eric: But I thought that was funny about how he just kept doing it and it was just like that awkwardness and stuff.
- 10:05Eric: And the first scene I really loved was in the beginning when he was dancing with the seniors And I didn't really pay attention the first time I watched it, but the second time I realized those people could not dance.
- 10:17Eric: So I'm sure they just went ahead and like said, hey, locals, come on in and be in a movie if you're, you know, 70 years and older.
- 10:25Eric: Because when he was doing like the little moves and they're supposed to be following, like nobody was even close to being, you know, choreographed or anything with them.
- 10:35Eric: So I thought that was that was hilarious.
- 10:38Eric: I agree.
- 10:40Eric: Through the pool scene, love it, it was very cute.
- 10:44Eric: I reached out to him afterwards And I asked him how many takes it took, because obviously he had to get wet and I was thinking how long, you know, it would take to get his hair dried and all set up again.
- 10:56Eric: He said they did it in one take.
- 10:57Eric: So good for them because it seemed like a kind of a complex scene and to nail that in one time.
- 11:05Eric: But, like he said, he really did have that his comedic timing and you know down.
- 11:12Eric: But then, you know, maybe being the dancer It wasn't for him as complicated to do in that scene as it may have been for a lot of us.
- 11:19Eric: So another thing I really liked was the chase.
- 11:26Eric: You don't really get chases a lot in Hallmark movies.
- 11:28Eric: Now, granted, it was on a moped and they were going, you know, 15, 20 miles an hour.
- 11:36Andrea: Funny.
- 11:36Andrea: I'm pretty sure that's what I didn't like.
- 11:40Eric: And what was great about it.
- 11:41Eric: And, like I said, it's definitely in the Hallmark spirit because, like, when they were talking, it just seemed so like I could just totally see them in the studio talking to do the deliver their lines.
- 11:54Eric: But it was campy, i found it fun.
- 11:57Eric: But and you're right, who could not like Malta?
- 12:01Eric: Malta was just beautiful And they did take every chance they could to show it off.
- 12:07Eric: But one of the things you didn't mention that you liked was the chemistry.
- 12:12Eric: So you were not thinking they had some.
- 12:14Eric: No, i thought they had great chemistry I have.
- 12:19Andrea: I mean, this will kind of lead into what I didn't like, though, so I can hold that, but I did.
- 12:23Andrea: I thought they had great chemistry.
- 12:26Eric: Okay.
- 12:26Eric: Well, there was some a little romance I think you missed maybe in the chemistry department between Lacey or Bailey and that pillow.
- 12:37Eric: That was a little steamy the way she was.
- 12:41Andrea: That was another one I didn't like.
- 12:42Andrea: Oh my gosh, I wasn't a fan of that scene.
- 12:47Andrea: I was like I don't, I don't know.
- 12:48Eric: The whole, the whole dream scene, or just like the whole dream scene, the making out with the pillow.
- 12:52Andrea: The making out, that was kind of cute and funny, but the dream scene I was like no.
- 12:56Eric: Cause I liked when she yes, i like what she woke up and he was like standing there, i found that really funny.
- 13:01Eric: So, okay, all right.
- 13:05Eric: So I had a much longer list of what we liked.
- 13:08Eric: Yours was a pretty much a bullet point Boom, boom, boom.
- 13:10Eric: I have a feeling we made a little flip flop when we go to the what we maybe thought the movie lacked or could have done better.
- 13:19Eric: So one of you then transferred, you know, as you said, transitioned into that chemistry and did something, maybe that you weren't loving so much, which turns out to be Lacey and her Jeremy pillow.
- 13:32Andrea: Oh, okay.
- 13:33Andrea: So this is kind of my.
- 13:34Andrea: what I like about the mystery series in general is I like having kind of a set town with the supporting cast being there.
- 13:42Andrea: you know, just like the Hannah and Swenson, you know we know some of the side characters, like they used to have the mayor in it.
- 13:48Andrea: He hasn't been at the new ones, but you know, you have the store, you know people who work at the store, you get to know the town locals.
- 13:55Andrea: So my fear I guess with this series or could be series as we kind of pop from you know location to location, we might not have a really strong supporting cast.
- 14:04Andrea: that's, you know, in every movie And that's some of the magic I mean for me.
- 14:08Andrea: again, as I said with the murder shoot, i loved the Cabot Cove episodes the best because you got to know your sheriff, you know, you got to know Seth the doctor.
- 14:16Andrea: All of those pieces, i think for me really build on the mysteries.
- 14:20Andrea: So I mean it wasn't necessarily just this one-off movie.
- 14:23Andrea: It was, you know it's fine, but for me as a series going on, it's something that I think I would miss not having that kind of supporting, consistent supporting cast.
- 14:33Andrea: I thought maybe the person that they brought in on, you know the phone, the gal who worked for the, was she FBI?
- 14:39Andrea: the one who would sit at the restaurant and The Interpol.
- 14:43Andrea: Yes, like she might be the consistent thread, but other than her, i was like who else would be that consistent thread in the movies?
- 14:48Andrea: Not sure, yeah, and that's well, and he only was a little bit in the beginning.
- 14:53Andrea: You know, before maybe they ship her off, and so that was kind of something that potentially could be not fun for you.
- 15:01Eric: So you're stressing about future, future Which may or may not happen.
- 15:05Eric: Yes, well, even so then, as a one-off movie, i felt a lot of therapy, so I can talk to you about futurism and how it's, like you know, not a healthy thing to do.
- 15:15Eric: Focus on the present.
- 15:17Andrea: Well, so with that, i'm not a big dancing movie person.
- 15:22Andrea: Like dancing with the stars, like I just don't.
- 15:25Andrea: That's not my thing.
- 15:25Andrea: Like watching people dance, it's not, i'm not entertained by that.
- 15:30Andrea: And so I think that was a huge, especially because there's a lot of dancing.
- 15:33Andrea: That's why I said I didn't really look at dream scene, because we threw in more dance And so it was just a lot of.
- 15:38Andrea: There was a lot of dancing in this movie And so if you like dancing, I think this would be totally up your alley.
- 15:43Andrea: If you're, like myself, not super into watching it, you know not a big fan of ballroom dancing, it might not be your cup of tea, it might be a little excess, you know.
- 15:52Andrea: I think a couple scenes great, like the water scene.
- 15:55Andrea: Loved that one, but maybe I mean again, we just had a lot of dancing Right so along those lines I'll say that's kind of where I had.
- 16:05Eric: I liked it And I thought the dancing was great.
- 16:07Eric: I'm not by any means I don't watch dancing with the stars or any of that stuff, so I'm not.
- 16:12Eric: You know, i wasn't drawn to the movie necessarily because of the dancing, but I did enjoy it And I thought it did a great job of showing some of their chemistry and their connection And I thought it did fit with the story.
- 16:23Eric: But to your point, that was actually in my notes.
- 16:26Eric: One of the things I thought was well, i liked the dream sequence.
- 16:32Eric: I also found it maybe a little I don't know gratuitous isn't the right way to put it, but maybe it was.
- 16:40Eric: I enjoyed it but at the same time the movie probably could have not had that in there and progressed some of the plot and some of the mystery and some of the characters and use that time.
- 16:51Eric: But I think the flip side of it is a lot of people are coming to this because they do wanna see Will and Lacey dance.
- 16:58Eric: So you put it in.
- 17:00Eric: So it's kind of that catch on to.
- 17:01Eric: I enjoyed it But I think it also movie could maybe have been stronger without it.
- 17:06Eric: So it's a weird.
- 17:08Andrea: Without maybe like half of it, take out half of it.
- 17:10Andrea: And again this is me thinking about future.
- 17:12Andrea: I'm like is this me in every movie?
- 17:14Andrea: Are we gonna have this much dancing in every movie?
- 17:16Andrea: Since it's called The Dancing Detective, i'm assuming that would be kind of the theme throughout, which, if you're not a big fan of watching a ton of dancing, also kind of that thorn where you're like.
- 17:26Andrea: so I have two strikes on it based on those two, like notes, porting cast and that dance, and I thought there was like a lot of dialogue with potential suspects and just not a lot of action.
- 17:37Andrea: Like I enjoy the little fake, those boards that they make and try to figure out who the people are.
- 17:43Andrea: So like some of that, it was just a lot of dialogue instead of some of the kind of those fun antics.
- 17:47Andrea: to me they're fun, not everyone enjoys them, but I enjoy those little fun antics that they kind of throw in there.
- 17:52Andrea: So that kind of was missing.
- 17:54Andrea: that piece with a lot of that dialogue And that's kind of the other, i guess.
- 17:58Andrea: third strike for me Oh man.
- 18:02Andrea: So I know what I said.
- 18:04Eric: So with me I found the when you're talking about all the supporting actors, i didn't know who any of them were.
- 18:11Eric: I'm guessing a lot of them were probably local or at least European or people who they signed on over there.
- 18:21Eric: But I thought the supporting actors talents and abilities this would sound really harsh And I don't mean to you, because everyone does their best and it was enjoyable and it was fun, but I do think it was definitely uneven, like there.
- 18:36Eric: I think Will and Lacey were absolutely phenomenal in their roles and their delivery and their acting was like everything you want in a Hallmark movie, like they delivered 100%.
- 18:49Eric: And.
- 18:50Eric: But then the other character, some of them I just don't think they had necessarily that strength to keep up And I felt bad because there was what was her name?
- 18:59Eric: Kim Murphy the spy, the maid who is the spy, like I don't know if maybe English was her second language or something, but she just very much was kind of robotic in her delivery.
- 19:14Eric: But I liked her, but it just wasn't the same level.
- 19:19Andrea: Well, and I think those two that's where I kind of like I really enjoyed those two together.
- 19:24Andrea: I thought they had great chemistry and I would love to see them together in a different premise for a mystery.
- 19:30Andrea: I mean, that's kind of what I wrote in my review that.
- 19:32Eric: How about if they're like chocolate making detectives?
- 19:35Eric: Would that be better, i mean?
- 19:37Andrea: I don't know if they're gonna stay in like a small town.
- 19:39Andrea: I get to know the townspeople, sure, and then occasionally you go away.
- 19:43Andrea: But I mean kind of like the same as even thinking about like the Sex and the City when they had the movie and it was, you know, often I think it was Dubai it kind of landed flat because New York was such a part of the setting of Sex and the City.
- 19:55Andrea: And that's kind of the same for some of these Hallmark movies.
- 19:58Andrea: Like you have some of those things where that is your setting.
- 20:00Andrea: When you go away from it, sometimes the movie falters And so that's.
- 20:04Andrea: You know, if it's always gonna be Mesa and Malta, awesome, you know beautiful scenery, but if not, if we're gonna keep bumping around, I feel like you lose that kind of character in that setting.
- 20:15Eric: I would say, though I think that the destination is kind of that character.
- 20:20Eric: So when you're saying, oh, you know you want a good supporting character, that's gonna continue like wherever they go, and I guess it does change, but it is a.
- 20:35Eric: So they go to Paris, You can just enjoy Paris, And you're right, it's not a person per se, but I do think that there would be a consistency.
- 20:43Eric: I do agree that when you do fertilizer a little bit, I was in my mind going how are they gonna be able to make this interesting and unique and not be redundant with, like, how many murders are taking place around dancing?
- 20:58Eric: But I don't care.
- 21:00Eric: I'm in my Hallmark bubble where reality does not affect me.
- 21:04Eric: I drink gallons of that Kool-Aid, so off I go See.
- 21:12Andrea: I kind of sometimes.
- 21:12Eric: sometimes I'm like I mean, maybe if it was something I enjoyed more, but the dancing So I was thinking like, oh well, chronicle goes around and visits different things, but then you're right, it actually does have still the paper staff.
- 21:27Eric: That's that piece, yep So yeah, yeah, ah, so you win on that one.
- 21:34Andrea: No, winning or losing is just our opinion.
- 21:35Andrea: I mean again, i think I'm in the minority because when I looked, a lot of people love this movie.
- 21:40Eric: You're literally the first person I've seen with a negative, much less three strikes, because what happens when you have three strikes?
- 21:47Eric: you're out.
- 21:49Andrea: Well and see, this is where I like Jodie Sweeten's movie better the Jane Mysteries.
- 21:53Andrea: I like that better than this one.
- 21:55Eric: That was another one that was very high on the fashion.
- 21:59Andrea: I think that was a great, great Yeah, i liked it overall.
- 22:02Andrea: I thought that was.
- 22:03Andrea: I'm excited for more if they do more.
- 22:06Eric: Okay, so we got a Will Kemp in a wet shirt, but you wanted Stephen, who's are in no shirt.
- 22:18Andrea: So I didn't even notice.
- 22:18Andrea: I'm like, oh, I mean, I really enjoyed the Well, I like Stephen who's are.
- 22:25Andrea: So I just, you know, as you would know, I really liked the Ruby hearing ones.
- 22:29Andrea: I actually prefer him in those movies as a detective.
- 22:32Andrea: I thought he should go back and watch some of those because I thought he really nailed that role.
- 22:37Andrea: A little bit of it, i think in the Jane mystery is.
- 22:40Andrea: it didn't quite land, but he was barely in the movie.
- 22:43Andrea: He was not.
- 22:44Andrea: He didn't have a big role on that one.
- 22:46Eric: So I'll give a pass there.
- 22:47Eric: I actually it's funny set because I think that's you're right It wasn't necessarily him, i think it was more the.
- 22:56Andrea: He was more of a director, editor, his role was very small.
- 23:01Eric: But, um, and I am with you, i, ruby Uh herring is not, from what I've seen out there, one of the most enjoyed mysteries.
- 23:09Eric: But I did like I thought in To your point.
- 23:13Eric: I agree with you.
- 23:13Eric: He, i think, was fantastic in that series.
- 23:16Eric: He was a great detective.
- 23:17Eric: That's why I had high hopes for him and Jane Uh mysteries, which, um, i'm not sure how we got, oh, i'm not sure.
- 23:25Eric: I'm not sure if I'm making Jody sweet.
- 23:28Andrea: Parry the roles.
- 23:29Eric: Yes, all right.
- 23:30Eric: Well, what didn't you?
- 23:32Andrea: like.
- 23:33Eric: Well, like I said, i thought there was the uneven um Acting That was in there And this was sound really bad.
- 23:41Eric: Super, super super official.
- 23:43Eric: But Kevin and Mary as a couple And I was like I'm not sure if I'm making it Like he was three inches shorter than her.
- 23:57Eric: So when they had that first scene, when they're on the balcony and they go to have that kiss, he's like having to like get up on his tippy toes To kiss her And, like I said, super official.
- 24:07Eric: But I'm like couldn't they at least put him on like a little You know board or something to make him Be a little bit taller, a little bit taller than her?
- 24:16Eric: That's like a couple.
- 24:17Andrea: Totally superficial.
- 24:18Andrea: I don't mind it.
- 24:20Andrea: I'm five, 10.
- 24:21Andrea: I'm tall.
- 24:21Andrea: My husband is a little bit taller than me, but I don't mind.
- 24:23Andrea: sometimes I mean, Hey, It's hard if you're a tall girl.
- 24:26Eric: It's hard.
- 24:27Eric: I don't know if she was tall, i think he was like I four, i don't know.
- 24:31Eric: And I agree with you, like a lot of when you were, when you're talking about um, they're not being a lot of the action, where they're like just sitting there.
- 24:42Eric: They seem like they've kind of had the same scene over and over a lot, where, over a lot, where it's like, hey, they're asking a lot of questions, they're asking a lot of questions why they're riding the bike or they're like sitting at a table or they're you know things like that.
- 24:53Eric: So I would like to see to your point, a little more of the action, whereas, like that's why I did like the scooter, the little moped chase, which now, why did you not like the moped?
- 25:04Eric: You said you didn't like it.
- 25:06Andrea: Well, i mean it's fine, Like I just feel like it was kind of thrown in there just because there wasn't a ton of action or a lot going on.
- 25:12Andrea: So it felt just kind of like let's throw in this quick scene.
- 25:15Andrea: And I mean I thought the Lizzie McGuire if you ever watched that movie I thought those moped scenes were more intense than the action scene we got from this movie.
- 25:24Eric: I have not seen Lizzie McGuire, so because?
- 25:27Andrea: it's not the show, the movie.
- 25:30Eric: I have not seen the show.
- 25:31Andrea: Put it on your list to watch.
- 25:33Eric: Is this on Netflix?
- 25:34Eric: Does this um?
- 25:35Andrea: I don't know about that, since I don't have a miss.
- 25:37Eric: I do have a mystery this weekend, but then I don't have a mystery for a little while until uh, the new curious uh if you're Hillary Duff Van, check it out Her early work.
- 25:48Andrea: I'm sure it's on Disney.
- 25:49Andrea: Sure It's on Disney.
- 25:50Eric: Okay, i don't know if I'm a Hillary Duff fan or not.
- 25:52Eric: Is she ever, is she in anything else?
- 25:55Andrea: Her sister was in um a hats off.
- 25:57Andrea: Was it hats off to Christmas?
- 25:58Andrea: Haley Duff was in a Hallmark movie, probably in 2013-ish era.
- 26:02Andrea: I recommend checking that out.
- 26:04Andrea: I think I reviewed that as a throwback review and I enjoy that movie.
- 26:08Andrea: It's kind of cute.
- 26:09Eric: My, uh, my, my only real throwback Christmas one is of course the Brooke Burns.
- 26:15Andrea: That's like the best.
- 26:16Andrea: Um, oh, what's that one called Last most wonderful time of the year?
- 26:21Andrea: I think, Yes, That one's a good one.
- 26:24Eric: It is So I did not know.
- 26:26Eric: there was another throwback, uh one.
- 26:28Eric: That's where my thought started after I started watching.
- 26:31Andrea: Oh no, there's a quite a few different.
- 26:33Eric: I know I'm just making the world revolve around me, which I like to do, so all right.
- 26:40Eric: What else I didn't like?
- 26:42Eric: Let's see, um, oh, the other was, and sometimes it bothers me, sometimes it doesn't, and I can't figure out in this case which it does, but I thought the mystery was pretty easy to solve.
- 26:56Eric: Cause, first of all, when you saw like The, the, the bad person in the, um, you know, in the hotel room, poisoning it, then walking out in that little black, you know, stealthy outfit, like I could very much tell that was a woman.
- 27:14Andrea: So I wrote that too.
- 27:16Eric: So I knew it was a woman.
- 27:17Eric: And then when they go through and like all the characters, i actually got my wife to watch this one And it was just because there's absolutely nothing else for her to watch.
- 27:24Eric: So she's like, okay, i'll watch it.
- 27:26Eric: And she's like, well, of course it's the Mary, the, the wife, she, uh, she, she, she did.
- 27:33Eric: I'm like, no, there's no way she did it, because none of those characters It's too obvious that they did it.
- 27:40Eric: Who you have to go for?
- 27:43Eric: the one person who it's not obvious, and that's Barbara.
- 27:46Eric: And of course it turned out to be the one person who they didn't, you know, investigate.
- 27:51Eric: So I very easily figured out that it was Barbara, just because I did not Like the red hair.
- 27:59Andrea: Oh really, Oh, it's not the red herrings were so for me.
- 28:02Andrea: I knew it was a woman, but it couldn't be that person.
- 28:06Andrea: I know I was like going back and forth, and then when they rolled them both out, i was like, well, i don't got anyone left.
- 28:11Andrea: I mean, i was probably.
- 28:14Andrea: I, i barely remembered her.
- 28:15Andrea: When they introduced her, i was like who is she again?
- 28:16Andrea: Cause she really was in there.
- 28:18Andrea: Like they quickly threw her in.
- 28:19Andrea: That wasn't.
- 28:20Andrea: She didn't have a huge role.
- 28:21Andrea: That's usually.
- 28:22Andrea: Usually are the killers.
- 28:23Eric: Think like all the mystery 101.
- 28:25Eric: mystery 101 is always like that one person who you sort of get introduced to Like 15 minutes early.
- 28:33Eric: that has one little scene and then goes away and then has like just a little blip, blip throughout the rest of the uh, the one, but um, and then also like For someone who just was murdered or died, let's say they didn't even cause.
- 28:51Eric: Most people didn't know he was murdered, but it just seemed like no one even slightly had a moment of their day, being like interrupted, like, oh, mark died, so what do you have for dinner, you know?
- 29:07Eric: or going around the table, oh, I'm divorced, oh, i'm single, you know.
- 29:11Eric: Oh, i'm single, oh, i'm single, you know.
- 29:14Eric: Oh, my husband's been, you know, died seven hours ago.
- 29:17Eric: You know, it just seemed a little bit uh, cold in that aspect, like no one even.
- 29:26Andrea: I just assumed he was not not a nice guy, because nobody seemed to care.
- 29:28Andrea: So then as a viewer you're kind of like, well, i don't care, if you know.
- 29:32Andrea: The rest of the cast seems to not care.
- 29:33Andrea: I mean not the cast themselves, but the what they wanted us to care about.
- 29:38Eric: But even if, like, then there should have been a like, more emotion of it.
- 29:43Eric: Like I don't like, thank God he has gone.
- 29:45Andrea: Like I think the the way they kind of lean that way with her.
- 29:50Eric: I thought that she was a same bevelant like, oh, he's dead, but what's?
- 29:53Eric: when do I have my manicure?
- 29:54Eric: now?
- 29:55Eric: So, but but I don't know.
- 29:58Eric: Like I say, i uh I very much liked it And I think, like even the things that I put on my list for saying, you know, we're reasons I didn't like, our so minute for me that it didn't, they didn't bother me.
- 30:14Eric: I'll say, the one that just bothered me the most was that Kevin had to stand on the tippy toes and kiss Mary, which is so superficial.
- 30:23Eric: I mean, i should get hate mail, i should, uh, you know and the point is my dad, my dad, my dad was five, four, so he was a short guy, all right, i shouldn't be so harsh on him.
- 30:32Eric: My brother's five, six, um, but uh, yeah, he could have shot it a different way.
- 30:40Eric: I mean, whatever, i'm terrible, i'm terrible, all right.
- 30:44Eric: So we kind of talked a little bit about but we just do a little brief thing.
- 30:48Eric: So just in general, what did you think?
- 30:50Eric: at far, you know, putting this in the hallmark universe, the quality of this is a mystery.
- 30:54Eric: Do you think it was like a good mystery?
- 30:58Andrea: or Yeah, i would say uh but mostly I think it's just the.
- 31:03Andrea: I didn't find it as intriguing as some of the other ones, uh, and probably for what you were just saying about the people not seeming to care about his death, and it just I wasn't as invested.
- 31:13Andrea: I like to know maybe a little bit more about, like the person who died So I can be a little more invested, i guess, or a little bit more backstory, like even the Hannes once in one you kind of you didn't really know a ton about him but it felt okay Cause you had some surrounding Like this is in you know 1995.
- 31:30Andrea: These characters might have had this issue, you know you can kind of piece things together, whereas this one you were kind of left with.
- 31:37Andrea: Okay, he wasn't well liked, his wife didn't really like him.
- 31:41Andrea: Why are they still together, if that seemed to be the case?
- 31:43Andrea: you know just little questions of piecing that together.
- 31:46Andrea: I mean, i'm sure they did it, just because a red herring, you know, do we think she did it?
- 31:48Andrea: And but you actually brought up in smart because, like even in um.
- 31:53Eric: In Hannah it wasn't like the guy who was tossing the ball.
- 31:55Eric: He wasn't very well liked either.
- 31:59Eric: Um so, but they still, like you said, created a little more of a character.
- 32:04Eric: So you at least had like a little more of the why I want to kill you And a little more like okay, you know he was Whatever Like you just had a little more emotion towards him, yeah, and even even like the Barbara at the end.
- 32:21Eric: You know, i did it just was.
- 32:24Eric: yeah, i really it wasn't like the most overwhelming like I had, that anger He killed my father, um, is there, oh, what we didn't talk about?
- 32:33Eric: You're talking about chases.
- 32:35Eric: How about Lacey chasing down Barbara In gowns and heels?
- 32:42Eric: I wrote that in my, i wrote that in my, in my own, in my own, in my own, in my own, in my own in my own, in my own, in my own, in my own, in my own, in my own, in my own.
- 32:58Andrea: I wrote that in my review for my Instagram review and I was like okay, that is totally not realistic to run in heels on cobblestone, like that.
- 33:03Andrea: I mean, if anyone has ever tried to do that, i know.
- 33:05Andrea: And I'm like how I I thought and I'll have to go back and well, you'll have to watch in slow mo.
- 33:10Andrea: But I thought at one point, when they did like a quick scene, i thought that Lacey was wearing tennis shoes.
- 33:15Andrea: But you'll have to kind of look, cause it quiet and quick was like was well, that would be a good one to ask.
- 33:20Andrea: Well to see, did they do that in heels or did?
- 33:23Eric: they put tennis on.
- 33:23Eric: Well, he was back there 50 yards behind.
- 33:28Andrea: Well, he probably knows that they were running in their heels to actually What's going on.
- 33:32Eric: They were the athletes.
- 33:33Eric: They were up there, gazelles running.
- 33:35Eric: They were totally in their heels running on the cobblestone.
- 33:39Andrea: I mean I've tried to run in heels before in cobblestone.
- 33:42Andrea: I mean your heel would get stuck in the.
- 33:44Andrea: I mean you'd have to hit it perfectly every time.
- 33:47Eric: When were you running on cobblestone in a ball?
- 33:51Andrea: Well, not a ball.
- 33:52Andrea: I'm not, no, not a ball going, but heels.
- 33:55Andrea: Yes, i've tried to run in heels, i'm sure, just probably after when I was in college, after one, two, many drinks, and you're just running as one does.
- 34:05Eric: Oh, okay, i have never done that.
- 34:12Andrea: I wouldn't expect you to.
- 34:13Eric: Okay, i don't think I would make it, i don't think I would do as well as Lacey or Barbara.
- 34:17Eric: So that was, that was pretty good And I can say that was almost better than the, than the, the Vespa chase, but that was.
- 34:26Andrea: I mean, hey, if they really did that like kudos to them, because I'm that's, that's hard.
- 34:31Eric: So I'm sure that there was a little, maybe a little bit, of a stunt double stunt double which was there dancing doubles for Lacey Cause sometimes it got like a little bit dark and a little bit pulled away And I was trying to figure out if it was Lacey doing like a dance in the excuse me, in the dream sequence, if that was all Lacey or not, i don't know.
- 34:54Andrea: Was she ever on dancing with the stars?
- 34:55Andrea: I don't know.
- 34:56Andrea: I was going to look that up cause I didn't know if she.
- 34:59Andrea: I feel like maybe she was or maybe she's just been enough dancing Hallmark movie and swear, i feel like she can dance a little bit.
- 35:06Eric: The only other one she was in was the Christmas Waltz.
- 35:08Eric: What else was she dance?
- 35:09Eric: So she did dance with with Brennan Elliott in a in a crossword.
- 35:14Eric: They danced at a wedding, but I'm using a bunch of dancing movies.
- 35:20Eric: Maybe it's seen here or there, maybe it was.
- 35:23Eric: How would you know?
- 35:24Eric: You don't watch any dance.
- 35:25Eric: I know I don't.
- 35:26Eric: I discovered.
- 35:27Andrea: Well, I watched them.
- 35:28Andrea: I'm not a fan of them.
- 35:31Eric: So it's this like self torture thing.
- 35:33Andrea: All right.
- 35:34Andrea: I mean, usually they don't have too much dancing, it's just a little sprinkled in.
- 35:38Eric: Okay, all right.
- 35:40Eric: Well, the other thing was the body count had one, so the initial guy gets poisoned and and dies.
- 35:47Eric: So not much of a body count there, all right.
- 35:51Eric: Last thing we discuss is the style, just in the overall, the fashion, and the can be, the decor can be, you know, hair can be everything like that.
- 36:02Eric: So now this has to be something we agree on, you have, i mean.
- 36:07Andrea: I thought it was fabulous.
- 36:08Andrea: Like the men's, i thought the men's style that's probably the best I've seen men dressed in a hallmark movie, like their suits, their blazers, their you know button downs.
- 36:18Andrea: I thought they were immaculate.
- 36:21Andrea: and the same with the women.
- 36:21Andrea: They're, you know, obviously they had their ball gowns.
- 36:23Andrea: A lot of blazers, i noticed for the women, i mean just a ton of just nice tight fitting blazers, you know.
- 36:31Andrea: so that must be the style probably currently in Malta, to have most of the characters in blazers.
- 36:37Eric: I think you should go visit to find out.
- 36:41Andrea: I got to get my passport updated.
- 36:43Eric: Oh, i heard there's like a big delay in passports.
- 36:45Eric: You better take care of that Oh geez, okay, noting.
- 36:47Eric: So I have a question, and this is my ignorance Those like big, like how they all had the I don't know the string thing on their arms, is that like a?
- 36:58Eric: that's like a ball gown type?
- 37:01Eric: Yeah, i don't know, i don't know, i don't know, i don't know.
- 37:08Andrea: I think it's very strange like when you're in the midair, feel like you get it, and then it's like they don't really have the best sniper friend style.
- 37:16Andrea: In the middle of how each is, They do some hipmeg shots.
- 37:20Andrea: I don't know if it's the only one you have.
- 37:20Andrea: Yeah, I think it's hard.
- 37:21Andrea: I think deep enough to see if they end up having the perfect carriage for the next wooing like a lot of further, so you can pull it up.
- 37:29Eric: I think.
- 37:29Andrea: Don't quote me on that, but that's what I think I've seen.
- 37:33Eric: Hey, debrahkati, but you're like this is being Yeah, this is actually going out in the world.
- 37:39Andrea: So that's my educated guess.
- 37:41Andrea: Correct me if I'm wrong, but that would be my guess.
- 37:44Eric: It makes sense to me.
- 37:45Eric: I couldn't figure out what the point of it, but it turns out there's a function to it.
- 37:48Eric: So I don't go.
- 37:50Eric: Yeah, i don't go to many any Good ball, so I guess maybe I need to start.
- 37:55Eric: But then there is also.
- 37:56Eric: We talked about the pool scene, that floral dress that Lacey wore, gorgeous, and Lacey also had the leather, the brown leather skirt.
- 38:06Eric: Lacey can definitely pull off the leather.
- 38:09Eric: She wore a lot of leather in Crossword Mysteries, especially the earlier, earlier ones.
- 38:15Andrea: So I like that And there was like snakeskin pants on.
- 38:17Andrea: One of the gals Had those I saw.
- 38:19Andrea: It was like a brief shot And I mean they took some.
- 38:22Andrea: I mean it fits the.
- 38:24Andrea: It fits an international movie.
- 38:26Eric: Right.
- 38:26Eric: And then, yeah, will just just dashing, and that's the way I guess describe him.
- 38:31Eric: He just really had that just dashing European, whatever, cosmopolitan, look to him.
- 38:40Eric: So he had a good.
- 38:41Eric: And then I say the other guy, kevin, i was just against him because I had a little short whatever thing going and that was, i was being a terrible, i was being a terrible person, so I was looking down on him, but that's, that's not a nice thing to say.
- 38:59Eric: I didn't mean it that way, but yeah, but yeah.
- 39:03Eric: So yeah, i thought the, the style and then decor, like you know, that hotel and everything obviously was just gorgeous.
- 39:12Eric: Malta was gorgeous.
- 39:13Andrea: But yes, everything is very rocky, well stony, yeah, there, and not a lot of pavement or anything like that around and hilly and I mean it was beautiful with the water there, like being out on the on that balcony, like there was one where I think in the morning when will walked out there and I was like what a beautiful way to like start your day.
- 39:36Eric: Have a cup of coffee out on that balcony and now speaking yes, a fashion to how good is Lacey look, waking up in the morning just after a night asleep?
- 39:46Eric: flawless, absolutely flawless, perfect, like the hair which is supposed to be slept in hair, and then her makeup, just perfect.
- 39:56Eric: It was one of those things that was just very, very funny where she could just wake up and just go on with her day, which most, i mean not realistic that is often a complaint and like so like in Cindy Busby in the in the Zion the National Park one when she would wake up from camping and Cindy perfect and you're like that's not possible.
- 40:20Andrea: And nobody goes camping and wakes up with their hair.
- 40:22Andrea: Perfect, cindy is like the house.
- 40:23Eric: Cindy is like the happiest person on the planet, so there's no begging on Cindy well, it's not Cindy, it's the way they wrote the movie.
- 40:30Andrea: It's not her character.
- 40:32Eric: I'm still taking as a personal attack against her.
- 40:37Andrea: I think I know you love Cindy as well as she's just an adorable, fun, great person.
- 40:42Andrea: Brooke and Cindy love both them well, that's a different thing.
- 40:45Eric: There's a crush on Brooke is crush like.
- 40:48Eric: I've had to have conversations with my daughter saying you know, fall goes right, you're gonna have a new mommy.
- 40:54Eric: You know, of course, my daughter's 20, my daughter's 25, so it's a little different conversation.
- 40:58Eric: But my wife understands, because she's got Joe Elliott from from deaf leopard, which she's also informed me that if he ever becomes available she pretty much help her pack.
- 41:09Eric: So gosh, but alright, alright, let's get into ranking now the movie on our categories, the steam meter, which is essentially like the chemistry which, being a first, what's interesting is usually in a mystery, you don't get like a kiss until episode three ish later, whereas even though it was a dream sequence and I'm not talking about her making out with a pillow, but they did get sort of that kiss in the dream sequence, but oh no, what were?
- 41:43Eric: what would you put as the steam meter ranking one to 10?
- 41:47Andrea: I mean I think 10, like I think there was definitely fire like that Dan, again the water dancing fire.
- 41:54Eric: I gave it a nine And that was because of the other people in the movie brought the steam down for me.
- 42:04Eric: But I agree, lacey and and will, everything was great about them.
- 42:07Eric: And then once again, lacey and the pillow I think it's the kiss than Kevin and Mary's.
- 42:13Eric: So okay, alright, the story now.
- 42:17Eric: This takes away the mystery, just the overall story that took place.
- 42:21Eric: What do you think of that?
- 42:22Eric: Give it a six.
- 42:26Eric: Interesting.
- 42:26Eric: I gave that a nine.
- 42:27Eric: I thought the story was just fun.
- 42:30Eric: I had a lot of like cases of mystery lane to or.
- 42:33Eric: It's just a lot of wet and just a fun story.
- 42:37Eric: I think you have to obviously a little bit more than you did.
- 42:40Eric: Now here's the mystery ranking where you put the mystery.
- 42:45Andrea: I gave that one a six as well.
- 42:47Eric: I gave that a six as well too.
- 42:48Eric: I didn't think like the mystery.
- 42:49Eric: You know, for me the mystery doesn't always have to be this like great who done it, where you don't know until the very end.
- 42:57Eric: Because once again, like I said, i talked about all the time mystery one on the mystery one.
- 43:01Eric: I kind of figured out that pattern.
- 43:02Eric: But it doesn't distract for me at all.
- 43:05Eric: I still love them.
- 43:05Eric: I think it's they're so well written, I think they're so well acted, i think they're great stories and it just doesn't bother me and you know, usually I'm right, doesn't matter, though, like I said, it doesn't distract.
- 43:17Eric: But okay, now, where would you put the acting in this?
- 43:23Andrea: movie.
- 43:23Andrea: I say nine mostly because it was Lacey and will and I thought they did a great job to your points.
- 43:29Andrea: And again I agree with you with the supporting cast.
- 43:32Andrea: Maybe wasn't the strongest, but I mean I think they carried the movie pretty well.
- 43:38Eric: I gave it an eight And once again, if it was Lacey and will I'd give that an 11.
- 43:43Eric: I thought they just they're so good together.
- 43:46Eric: It makes me wonder, because obviously there's this Lacey and Brennan connection with, you know, between romcom and mystery, like they've been in, both together and both multiple, and everyone loves the two of them together.
- 44:03Eric: But I'm wondering if Lacey and will is starting to maybe infringing, if people are starting to say maybe I'd rather see Lacey with will, then Brennan, which Brennan is such a great guy, we talked to him and great guy.
- 44:21Eric: But I'm wondering, like, where would you put those two who, if they, if you had one movie cast, you're the casting director and you give Lacey and you got to pick her opposite, so Brennan, or you got to go with will, i don't care what kind of movie.
- 44:36Eric: It can be, either rom-com or mis, it doesn't matter.
- 44:41Eric: You're going to get fired if you choose wrong, oh.
- 44:45Andrea: Never to work in the town I'm like I enjoy both of them I would probably say I mean Brennan only just because they have done so many movies together.
- 44:55Andrea: So their chemistry is just there.
- 44:57Andrea: I mean they just can kind of just go back and forth really easily.
- 44:59Andrea: But that's not like at all hit on will, because I think he again was fabulous in this movie with her.
- 45:06Eric: Okay, i hope your movie is successful.
- 45:10Andrea: Who would you?
- 45:10Eric: pick Good God.
- 45:11Eric: I'm not answering that question.
- 45:13Andrea: Oh gee, you made me.
- 45:13Andrea: I'm going to say both Gosh.
- 45:19Eric: For their different.
- 45:19Eric: It's like I don't know.
- 45:22Andrea: I know That's what I said.
- 45:23Andrea: That's a hard pick.
- 45:24Eric: Like yes, no, i can't pick that.
- 45:26Eric: I can't believe you did.
- 45:28Eric: That's terrible of you.
- 45:30Eric: You're a terrible person.
- 45:30Eric: I'm so sorry about that.
- 45:31Eric: I'm just like.
- 45:32Eric: I'm just like I'm just going to say it What's the next one?
- 45:35Eric: I'm just going to say it.
- 45:35Eric: I'm just going to say it.
- 45:38Eric: I had a, i had my acting as an eight.
- 45:39Eric: Oh, i said because 11 for those guys.
- 45:41Eric: But then I said the other ones just like I said it was, it just wasn't the same level, right, and I don't think they expect to be.
- 45:51Eric: You know, if they were, that'd be getting international Roles and they certainly I'll say act.
- 45:56Eric: I'm just trying to get my little roles and extra where I can be the dead guy laying on the ground and I'm still not sure I'd be able to pull that off very well, but you know.
- 46:05Eric: So then you know delivering lines and all of that way better than me.
- 46:10Eric: I can't help but giggle whenever I I try to like for my wife, i'll try to act and I'll say, okay, i'm going to do this ready, and then, like I always just giggle and I or smile, i can never ever really pull it off.
- 46:22Eric: So, like I said, they were way better than me, but still not, you know, top of the line.
- 46:29Eric: So, okay, probably an agreement here.
- 46:33Eric: But what do you have for the style for the movie?
- 46:36Eric: 10, 10 as well, all right.
- 46:39Eric: So when you add it all up, what do you come with up with?
- 46:43Andrea: Uh 82.
- 46:45Eric: 82.
- 46:45Eric: Yeah, you can only have a possible 50.
- 46:48Andrea: No, well, i added both bars up together.
- 46:50Andrea: Sorry, I already added ours up together as we were going, wow.
- 46:56Eric: You're like I saved us the time.
- 46:57Eric: Okay, okay, usually Sydney and I like slaughter the math and we just make up a number that I've listened to your podcast So I was like, well, I'll just add it up as we're going.
- 47:07Andrea: Yeah.
- 47:08Eric: And like, sometimes I don't even know if we're right or wrong when I add them up together, because I'm trying to do it in my head, but you're actually smarter than me by adding them up as we go along.
- 47:15Eric: So I should remember that next time That's probably a lot easier to do than trying to add up the whole big one.
- 47:23Eric: So okay, All right.
- 47:25Eric: So 82, that's actually pretty solid.
- 47:28Eric: So 82, so you had a 40.
- 47:29Eric: So you weren't that far off.
- 47:31Eric: So for a movie that you clearly the chemistry and style but chemistry and style were.
- 47:36Andrea: That was the 10 out of 10, the rest of it, and I mean again, acting.
- 47:40Eric: The actual premise, though, is where it goes down, for me, i like some of those pieces, but So they should have turned it actually into a rom-com from a mystery.
- 47:50Andrea: Yes, Yes, yes, i would have probably liked it more than two, because I wouldn't have been thinking, okay, i'm going to get another one of these, and then thinking about more dancing and where's our town?
- 48:01Eric: I'm going to email you my therapist number so you can do a little virtual thing.
- 48:04Eric: We'll work in the same, in the present.
- 48:07Eric: Have you meditated yet today?
- 48:08Eric: Maybe that'll help Meditate.
- 48:10Eric: I did.
- 48:12Andrea: I did not meditate this morning.
- 48:13Andrea: I mean, I have a three and a half month old, so I have not been getting up at six AM and doing my meditation.
- 48:17Andrea: So that's half the battle.
- 48:20Eric: Okay.
- 48:20Eric: Well, I think if you had meditated, you would have liked to move you a little more.
- 48:25Andrea: Actually, i think I meditated the morning.
- 48:26Andrea: I watched this, so that's not the case All right Now.
- 48:30Eric: You said, like you said, you watched it with your mom, right.
- 48:33Andrea: No, not this one.
- 48:34Andrea: I would be curious to see if my mom liked.
- 48:36Andrea: I watched the Hannah Swanson one with my mom and she had never watched any of the murders she baked, so I was curious to see if she liked it.
- 48:42Andrea: And she really liked it and it drew her attention.
- 48:45Andrea: I gave her a little bit of the backstory about who some of the characters were, so she had seen In hell the end.
- 48:50Eric: She had seen anything.
- 48:51Andrea: She did not like that ending either, and she is a Cameron Mathis fan from All My Children.
- 48:56Andrea: and then Alice Sweeney She knows from Soap's, And so she was kind of like what Of?
- 49:00Eric: course she's not If she's, if she has to see Cameron Mathis and be a jerk, Yes, so, and she also found it very perplexing that that whole like why did she get mad at him for that?
- 49:12Eric: Like why am I the only feminist?
- 49:15Eric: on the planet Right, i thought she was discovering.
- 49:19Andrea: No, it seemed like she was discovering in my mind that the police chief was the one who was the murderer.
- 49:24Andrea: That's what I thought was going to be the twist And I was like, oh, she's the thing and the ringing in her ear She's discovering she was right all along.
- 49:31Andrea: And that didn't happen.
- 49:34Eric: No.
- 49:35Andrea: My ending would have been better.
- 49:37Eric: We talked about it before you.
- 49:38Eric: You did your thing like a little bit where we're like trying to do our math and I keep trying, to keep trying to say that guy is 40 years old No no no way He would have been like 10 committing this murder.
- 49:52Eric: So that's what I'm trying to.
- 49:53Eric: I'm trying to age him and to say he looks, he was older than we thought he was in the his character.
- 49:59Andrea: But I don't know, So okay.
- 50:03Eric: All right, Andrew.
- 50:03Eric: Well, it was a blast having you.
- 50:06Andrea: Yes, thank you.
- 50:07Andrea: I love coming on and talking about homework movies.
- 50:10Eric: Yes, we are.
- 50:11Eric: I forget which one we talked about going to be back when we do one of the series.
- 50:15Eric: Was it Gourmet Detective, i think?
- 50:17Andrea: I mean I'll do that one, but the Fixer Upper I also.
- 50:20Eric: Oh, that's what it was.
- 50:21Andrea: And I liked that one too, Yes.
- 50:23Eric: Fixer Upper So you get Sydney.
- 50:25Eric: You better like that one, because if you bag on jewel, sydney will fly over there and take you out.
- 50:33Eric: You can't say anything bad about jewel, okay.
- 50:35Andrea: I liked it.
- 50:36Andrea: Remember I gave it five out of five.
- 50:37Andrea: I really liked.
- 50:39Eric: Okay, but for everyone again.
- 50:41Eric: please, if you like what you hear in this podcast, we'd love if you tell your friends.

- 51:00Eric: Go to our website, homeartmysteriesandmorecom.
- 51:05Andrea: And I will say you guys have an amazing Instagram.
- 51:07Eric: Oh, thank you, We have.
- 51:09Andrea: I really enjoy seeing what you guys post.
- 51:11Eric: I'm getting very, very stressed with my did you knows?
- 51:14Eric: They're getting harder and harder to come up with these new facts, and so they may start getting a little bit obvious, like did you know that Alison Sweeney was on the soap opera?
- 51:29Andrea: She was also the host of The Biggest Loser.
- 51:31Eric: I knew that.
- 51:31Eric: That's where I first knew her from.
- 51:36Andrea: Oh, really Not the soap.
- 51:38Eric: No, wow, i don't even know what she's.
- 51:42Andrea: I didn't watch her in that one, but I knew because in The Biggest Loser they referenced that.
- 51:46Eric: Yeah, i will say my freshman year of college I did watch for like a semester general hospital back with Frisco and Felicia.
- 52:03Eric: Yeah, frisco and Felicia, with Jack Wagner, and he was, he had his nice little mullet going.
- 52:10Andrea: So you had to know Jack Wagner was in a soap.
- 52:12Eric: Yeah, he was Frisco, he was big time, and you had Anna Devane was the police detective.
- 52:20Eric: That's about all I can remember.
- 52:24Eric: But yeah, we every day come home for lunch and watch General Hospital for a semester.
- 52:29Eric: Got really into it And I stopped watching it and never went back.
- 52:32Eric: And so, yeah, what one is is is Hannah, or Hannah is a house in Sweden.
- 52:40Andrea: I think it's.
- 52:40Andrea: I think it's days of our lives.
- 52:42Andrea: I didn't watch it.
- 52:43Andrea: My mom watched all my children and young in the rest list.
- 52:46Eric: So the only thing I do know is I've heard she's like evil in that one.
- 52:51Andrea: Yes, i think so.
- 52:51Andrea: In the soap opera She's like a bad she's a bad guy.
- 52:54Eric: So um does that Well.
- 52:57Eric: Thank you for the compliment on the uh on Instagram.
- 53:00Eric: It's fun to try, um keep it.
- 53:03Eric: Keep it going Well, andrea, or Andrea as some of our friends will call you.
- 53:10Andrea: It was a pleasure having you.
- 53:11Andrea: And until next time.
- 53:13Eric: Have a good night.
- 53:14Eric: Better anymore.
