- 0:05Thank you for listening to Depictions Media Radio. You read everything. Welcome back
- 0:44everyone. Every now and again you meet somebody that has found their path,
- 0:50their purpose, their faith and they're just absolutely living it to the point that
- 0:56it shows fourth and everything they do that's holds truth for our next guests,
- 1:02as Sarah Evangeline, and this is what she has to say for herself.
- 1:07She says this, I help guide people to a deeper healing and spiritual journey
- 1:14so they can reconnect with their true self. She goes on, I was
- 1:23someone who suffered from a quarter life crisis, feeling lonely, overwhelmed and stuck.
- 1:34Healing my inner child and connecting with the truest part of me saved my
- 1:38life. I believe that many people are wanting to connect to their soul but
- 1:47don't know how. I created a soul talk method to a step by step
- 1:57guide so that someone can have a chance to heal and live out their best
- 2:05possible life. So with all that, why don't we welcome Sarah to the
- 2:12show and here with this soul talk method is about and how she found it
- 2:20herself. But welcome back everybody. I'm here today with Sarah Evangeline and Sarah
- 2:35does a lot, a lot of different type types of feeling and one of
- 2:38those is especially spiritual. Right, and why don't we talk get started to
- 2:47tell us how she got started doing this and why she does what she does.
- 2:53Sure, thanks Michael. Um So, I mean it all started a
- 3:00while ago because I think, I think so often we don't realize what's happening,
- 3:06but our soul knows, our spirit knows, and um, just being
- 3:12guided in a different direction. And I was brought up in you know,
- 3:16Christian home, Christian school, followed certain rules, right, and Um,
- 3:24I eventually became or. I eventually went into school to become a pastor,
- 3:30and you know, I had my masters in counseling and coaching. At the
- 3:35time, was really feeling really low in my life, just going through what
- 3:40I call the dark Knight of the soul where it's just hard to be living.
- 3:46Um, You're you're meeting your shadow, You're meeting a part of yourself.
- 3:51It's really really, really hard to accept. And I thought that going
- 3:55in to become a pastor would kind of help save me. Like I didn't
- 4:00really know what to do. I had my degree, I had my masters,
- 4:02I had written a book and it just felt like, oh my goodness,
- 4:06I'm only twenty four, Like is this all life? Is what am
- 4:10I supposed to do next? Because I had checked marked so many boxes that
- 4:14everyone told me I had to do to be successful, and I honestly was
- 4:18just feeling empty, feeling very lost and scared of the unknown. So at
- 4:27that time in my life, I was really living for other people. Didn't
- 4:30know how to trust my own inner voice, didn't know how to trust my
- 4:35intuition or really look within. I was looking for other people's opinions of me.
- 4:41So, long story short, I went into this school to become a
- 4:45pastor, and I started, actually, this would be cool, Michael.
- 4:50I started doing I had to do a co op or like an intern NBC.
- 4:58And right now I'm going to I'm lanking on the city I was in,
- 5:01but it was in a little It was in between two valleys in BC,
- 5:06absolutely stunning, and I was there for two or three weeks and just
- 5:11did a lot of work outside of the church walls, and I think there
- 5:17I just saw a lot of different culture. I mean, I had traveled
- 5:21so much, but sometimes it just takes something to push you over the edge.
- 5:28And I remember flying back to school going. I don't think that this
- 5:30is where I want to be. I don't think that this is me.
- 5:33I feel like I'm being pushed into a mold that's against my true nature.
- 5:38But I don't know who I am, So you know, this tug of
- 5:42war was happening in between myself. But I got to a point where I
- 5:45was like, I cannot stay here anymore. I'm terrified of what life looks
- 5:47like with what I don't know, Like if I stay here and become a
- 5:50pastor, I know what my life's going to look like for the next fifty
- 5:54years. But there was something urging in me to like, get up from
- 5:59a get up from my seat, and I'll shaare this part of the story
- 6:03because it's actually really profound. I was sitting there in a class, in
- 6:08one of the class classes and feeling like I shouldn't be there, I don't
- 6:14want to be there, And I was visualizing this bird in my head flying
- 6:17free, just and I wanted to be this bird. And then this girl
- 6:21that was sitting next to me, much older than me. I loved her
- 6:25because she would just talk without a filter and it's needed sometimes. So she
- 6:30leans over to me and she's like I think I need to tell you something
- 6:33And I said what, and she said, I think you need to know
- 6:39that you have wings you haven't flown yet. So all this started happening,
- 6:43and I believe that that was so divine. So finally I start crying and
- 6:47I'm like, okay, I have to tell someone safe that I cannot stay
- 6:50here. So that day, shortly after, I went up to someone she
- 6:56happened to be a life coach as well, and I just sat down and
- 6:58I was like following her and just said, I do have no idea who
- 7:01I am. I have no idea what I should be doing with my life,
- 7:04but I know I cannot stay here. And I was expecting judgment.
- 7:09I was expecting criticism. I was expecting to say, no, you have
- 7:13to stay here, because that's how I had lived. In my internal dialogue,
- 7:16I was criticizing myself, judging myself right. So she just what she
- 7:23did in that moment is what I teach now. She gave my inner child
- 7:29permission to be seen in one moment, in one sentence that broke the whole
- 7:32doors open. And she just sat there and she looked at me with such
- 7:39compassion, and she said, Sarah, what do you want your life to
- 7:43look like? And she didn't. She didn't. She just let me speak,
- 7:46and I started crying even more because it was like, wait a minute,
- 7:50I can ask myself that I can ask what. So that's what started
- 7:57at all was that. And the place I was studying at was absolutely so
- 8:03supportive in my journey. They let me stay finish up the semester I was
- 8:07taking this spiritual discipline course and I started to have a spiritual awakening in the
- 8:13condo I was living in while I was still at this pastor school, and
- 8:20so everything, I believe, we're all right on time, and like the
- 8:26same place that I was feeling stuck is the same place that set me free.
- 8:31So I did a lot of internal work on myself instead of giving to
- 8:37others. It was time for myself to actually heal. And it's been five
- 8:43years now, five or six years, and I'm just so grateful an honor
- 8:46to be doing what I'm doing. I'm finally putting, you know, that
- 8:50practice of what I was taught into play. But it is such an amazing
- 8:56journey and have developed programs and um then coaching people and just continuing my own
- 9:05spiritual journey. It's it's absolutely wonderful. Yeah. Yeah, so I'm gonna
- 9:13make a comment that person. It's like, um, God spoke to you
- 9:24literally, I mean the the the the the wings, the whole thing.
- 9:31It's like you have wings, you just need fly with them. But it's
- 9:35like it's like he sat there and it's like that was just so profound.
- 9:41I mean, yeah, shivers up for now. I's fine. When you
- 9:43said about the the flying in the all, I was like wow mm hm.
- 9:52So so okay, So so you got unstuck and you found you you
- 9:58found what that tug was. And um, in that moment, you you
- 10:05you learned to listen to to God, our creator's spirit whoever whoever you because
- 10:11not not all listeners want to hear God. But yes, exactly, I
- 10:16believe in God. Okay, and um I was ordained right oh wow yeah
- 10:26along that everything else is like it's like, um, I took a Judeo
- 10:31Christian studies a whole bit. I wrote this profound paper on who Jesus Christ
- 10:37was as a person. And you know what I discovered. He was the
- 10:43prople he was, He was that protester in THEBC today, right, is
- 10:48like and um, but but but that's kind of kind of not the point.
- 10:56The point is is that we opened up and we listen to what that
- 11:01calling is, right exactly. And hearing you tell how you just opened up
- 11:07and list started listening is like, wow, that is such a profound story.
- 11:11So with all that being said, is that what you try to do
- 11:16for others, you try to help them open up in and absolutely that that
- 11:24voice for themselves. Yes, I think it's truly transforming and life changing.
- 11:31I mean, there's so much we can learn from the life of Jesus.
- 11:35And I would say, sitting in that in one of those classes, I
- 11:39would we would learn about the life of Jesus and then we would learn what
- 11:43we have to do in the church. And I would see these contradictions and
- 11:48it would that's what helped kind of wake me up of like, wait,
- 11:50you're telling me to do You're telling me that Jesus did this totally for it,
- 11:56but then you want me to do this, and I was like,
- 11:58I just can't do this. This is going against who I want to be,
- 12:03what I want to represent, my values, And so the thing is
- 12:07one one area that and I mean I don't want to put a generalization because
- 12:13we can all have a different experience, and there's so much beauty still in
- 12:16the Christian realm. It's just you know, we teach, we teach.
- 12:24I would, I guess I'll talk about my personal journey. I would teach
- 12:28kids and teenagers to ask Jesus into their heart. And then I was chasing
- 12:35after God as if he was like way were there and I have to do
- 12:37all these things to perform for him in order to receive his love. Now
- 12:41this also ties into childhood trauma and so many other things that I teach,
- 12:46because we sometimes will see life through the lens of our trauma and we haven't
- 12:52healed that yet. And so I was chasing after love, and I learned
- 12:56that we asked Jesus into our heart. So why are we chasing after something
- 13:03outside of us? It's it's within. So that inner voice that I was
- 13:05hearing was God, and it was also me like we we I think sometimes
- 13:11forget that, Yes there's beauty around us. Yes God is outside of us,
- 13:16and creation is outside of us. But there's so much wisdom that he's
- 13:20given you, that he's given me, and to be able to tap into
- 13:26that, that's how we tap into you know, our creativity, our self
- 13:30beliefs, so many things that I believe that we came here to be,
- 13:33and so so many people that I talk to they're feeling that lostness, that
- 13:39stickness, that hustle, a busyness of chasing and just to say and overwhelmed.
- 13:46Right, and just like something's missing, something's missing. Like I kept
- 13:50saying to myself, is this all that life is? Because there can't be.
- 13:54There has to be more to life, and there is. There is
- 13:56so much more to life, and I believe. I call my program the
- 14:03soul Talk method because that soul talk is what's so key. And when we
- 14:09can learn and uncover, uncover the trauma, uncover the the things that have
- 14:15been programmed that we that we should be, that the world tells us that
- 14:18we should be, or that man has almost manipulated to tell us how we
- 14:24should be living or thinking, when we can come to ourselves. I mean,
- 14:31I was talking a little bit before about the dark Knight of the soul.
- 14:33It can be really hard and miserable and so painful, but that's where
- 14:39you meet God, you meet yourself. There, you meet like and everyone's
- 14:41going to have their different experience. I don't want to put certain expectations on
- 14:46it, But it's this beautiful intertwined of so many things. Yeah yeah,
- 14:54in a lot of respects. Right, Well, we're helping people buying b
- 15:00and God and all that kind of stuff, right or or that. Of
- 15:03course, if you want to eliminate all the God stuff, just find what
- 15:07your soul purpose is. And I and I really want to stress the sole
- 15:15part of our purpose because we can we can achieve. You agree with this,
- 15:22You can achieve that sole purpose and still work a nine to five job
- 15:26and be an employee. It doesn't mean that you have to break away from
- 15:28that. It just means that you've got to find what that pug is because
- 15:33it's something at you and sometimes that corporate stuff that we see all over the
- 15:37place, it's just numbing us to what that purpose should be. And it
- 15:45sounds like you you help people find, You're that guy that helps people find.
- 15:52Okay, where is it that my life is supposed to be? What
- 15:54is going to fulfill me? It's like, because it's like you said,
- 15:58this different very person and sometimes you just need a guide begin us there,
- 16:02right exactly exactly. I definitely did. I definitely did, and but I
- 16:08want to, you know, bring people home to themselves, where I even
- 16:12will say to my clients, discern what I'm saying to you, like take
- 16:17it back, even what I'm saying, and discern it and go, okay,
- 16:18like is this actually my trip? This is actually what I believe in,
- 16:22And we redefine a lot of things. We were were We even were
- 16:26redefine what love meets because sometimes what was taught to us that was love is
- 16:30not the love that we deserve or the love that we want to live out.
- 16:34So there's so many there's so many things to it. But I love
- 16:38that you said that because it is our sole purpose one hundred percent. Yeah,
- 16:45yeah, yeah, yeah, and it's it's it. I guess we're
- 16:51going to witness for each other. It's amazing when you when you get there
- 16:55and life just becomes like this beautiful thing. Yes, yes, yeah,
- 17:03And I think so often people will say and I believed it too. And
- 17:08there is an element to this where Okay, I'm feeling really stuck and I'm
- 17:12feeling lost, I have to leave everything behind, move way across the world,
- 17:18you know, quit the nine to five, and you know, sometimes
- 17:21that is the case, you know, but sometimes it's just like you can
- 17:25find yourself actually I don't like that term. You can uncover who you are
- 17:30right where you're at. You don't have to escape everything, right, Like
- 17:36actually we're taught to escape or to hide or to numb, so we don't
- 17:41have to escape, like like I was saying, we don't have to chase
- 17:44after that thing outside of us we get to you know, like I was
- 17:49saying, the same place that I felt stuck was the same place that I
- 17:53was I learned to be free, So you know, I'll sell the people
- 18:00sometimes, you know, you have to leave that career. Sometimes you have
- 18:02to move on from something. And sometimes it's just okay showing up differently because
- 18:07you're Once we change our inner world, the outer world will change. M
- 18:12Yeah. Yeah, I totally totally agree with with that. For his I
- 18:18totally change career the whole bit, and I moved from one country to another
- 18:26country, um, different coasts, the whole bit. Right. They's totally
- 18:33flipped my whole entire life upside down and and found um that purpose that way.
- 18:41But it doesn't have to be that way. It doesn't have to be
- 18:44that radical of a of a change. Yeah. So yeah, each person
- 18:51is different, isn't it. Yeah, And that's that's the beauty of this
- 18:56is that everyone gets to see something different. The way you experience the world
- 19:00is different than I experience the world. But so often we get told there,
- 19:04you know, there's one way to life. We're taught what to think,
- 19:08not how to think. And so part of this too is like really
- 19:12looking at our belief system, really looking at our values, and you know,
- 19:18do our values match our soul? My values have done like a one
- 19:23eighty and then like you know, come back around and it's just it looks
- 19:26very different than it did before. So and it's knowing that as you evolve,
- 19:33as you heal, as you change, those are allowed to change.
- 19:37Right. My soul is telling me something now that it was not ready for
- 19:41two years ago, right, And so it's just a really beautiful and very
- 19:48messy. It can be very messy journey because there's a lot of sometimes emotional
- 19:53pain that we need to walk through because we're actually turning inward and not avoiding.
- 19:57So, yeah, it's it's been beautiful, beautiful journey. Let's let's
- 20:06let's put this one the best for a second. Because we're always taught that
- 20:10everything has to be how the um what is it? The same? Everything
- 20:22has its place in it's something something along with places and it's like these these
- 20:30old things day that we'd meet sometimes because it's like they didn't hold a lot
- 20:33of meaning for me to begin with, um, but it was some something
- 20:37along the lines everything had this place and everything should be in its place or
- 20:41whatever like something like that, right, And it's like, so we're taught
- 20:47as children that mess is bad. Mh is like is that necessarily true or
- 20:56should we like or do we have to face the mess in order to put
- 21:00ourselves together? Yeah? I mean that really ties into real learning and redefining
- 21:07things because yeah, if we're told mess is bad, if we were brought
- 21:11up in a home or a situation where we maybe have perfectionism, like everything
- 21:17has to be perfect in order to be loved or feel good enough, MESSI
- 21:22is not bad. Messy can be good. And I think we love to
- 21:26label things and put things in categories so our mind is at ease. But
- 21:33I do a lot of inner child work, and I really believe that the
- 21:37inner child. We all have an inner child within us, and our inner
- 21:41child is very linked and connected to our spiritual self, our soul stuff self.
- 21:48So part of the work I do and the part of the work that
- 21:49really I would say saved my life is meeting my inner child again, relearning
- 21:56things like if you were told that being messy was, you get to reclaim
- 22:00that. You get to meet that part of you that was there, you
- 22:06know, just not feeling loved, not feeling good enough. Because we hold
- 22:11those those emotions still in our body, they're maybe dictating our self worth,
- 22:15our self identity, how we make decisions as adults. It's still there because
- 22:22our inner child. We have many versions of inner childs within us actually,
- 22:26and we can still be carrying that with us. And so you know,
- 22:33and the same lady that I told you where she said, you still have
- 22:37wings, you haven't flown yet. I remember the very last thing she said
- 22:41to me. She's like, don't expect everything to be easy once you get
- 22:45out there, and you know, she said it was so much love,
- 22:48but it was just it was what she was getting at. And what I've
- 22:51learned is like, yeah, just because I've said yes to myself and said
- 22:55yes to discovering who I am, it has not always been easy. There
- 23:00have been amazing, amazing moments and I have a zero regrets and it's just
- 23:06life. Continues to look very different than what I was expecting or what I
- 23:08was planning. And there's been both heartache and like amazing just sitting back going,
- 23:15oh my goodness. Right, So we have to embrace both of those.
- 23:19I think we we sometimes think, okay, like I'll be on the
- 23:23mountaintop forever and I have to stay there. And in this journey, there
- 23:27are the valleys, there are the hard times, and the thing is those
- 23:33that, right, we don't have to run away from that. That's all
- 23:34part of us. I believe we came here to experience all of the emotions.
- 23:38And from my childhood, I really believed that anger was bad. You
- 23:45can't be angry you had And so I was actually a very angry. I
- 23:49was carrying a lot of anger in me that I felt like I could not
- 23:53express because like it's bad, like so keep it away, and it was
- 23:59I had to. There's a beautiful, sacred way to release our anger and
- 24:03let it out. So I love that you brought that up because we get
- 24:07to redefine and that, um, messy does not have to be bad.
- 24:11Hard emotions don't have to be bad, you know, it's it's it's all
- 24:15needed. Yeah, Um, I for myself, I've tried to eliminate the
- 24:22good and bad and turn it into more of the learning. I had to
- 24:27learn that lesson, Well, that was the easy lesson to learn. It's
- 24:30like, wow, okay, oh that was a really hard lesson to learn.
- 24:34It's like or should I say, um, hard is? It is
- 24:38a bad hard is the necessarily like the best of words to describe it.
- 24:45Some of them are arduis or lengthy. I think that's better because because you
- 24:52can actually see that there's a path there, you know, like part means
- 24:57it's like it's impassable and and that isn't the point it is passable is do
- 25:04we have to find our way through around over? However, however, it
- 25:10is right mm hmm that path. Um, So how do you how do
- 25:18you start to guide people to to that, to that purpose, through their
- 25:23inner child and to who they're supposed to be as as a person. Oh
- 25:32yeah, Um. When someone talks to me, usually they are already feeling.
- 25:38Then they're already feeling or or asking themselves questions. And very often when
- 25:45I ask some questions, they'll say I don't know, I don't know,
- 25:48and I know they know. It's just um, they're at that very beginning
- 25:52where they're asking the questions or they're feeling like something's missing um and so you
- 26:00know, I want them to want to heal first of all, if being
- 26:06open to it is really key. We can't force anyone to heal. So
- 26:11I usually will have an initial call with someone and just to ask them where
- 26:15they're at, hear their story, and then you know, tell them about
- 26:21what I do. And so I teach a program and it's there's eight steps
- 26:27and it's step by steps. So the first one is about self awareness and
- 26:32waking up our inner child. There are so many people that will say I
- 26:36have a free meditation that I give and people will say, oh my goodness,
- 26:40I had no idea I could like embrace my inner child. I didn't
- 26:45know that my inner child was still with me. And already they'll start to
- 26:49like heal a little bit from just being open and being allowing our inner child
- 26:56to speak to us, and some people will release emotions for the first time
- 27:02or just again that openness. The openness is really key because again, healing
- 27:10looks different for everyone. It's eight weeks, but it can take longer.
- 27:15People usually start to see transformation in a few weeks, but you know,
- 27:19it's a lifetime access program because we are all on this journey, and you
- 27:25know, there's no end point. I think there's there's going to be changes
- 27:29one hundred percent. But the first the first step is really just opening ourselves
- 27:33up to hearing our inner childs communicating with our inner child. And you know,
- 27:42we can sometimes have many inner voices going off right, and we have
- 27:47to decipher which one is actually ours, because for example, if someone's had
- 27:52a very critical parent or a very critical caregiver that they looked up to,
- 27:56it could honestly be a teacher that they have only for one year, but
- 28:00that said something incredibly hurtful that has just stuck with them, and it's ruminated
- 28:07for like generations of like I'm going to be a failure or I'm not going
- 28:11to measure up because of X y Z. And they could still be holding
- 28:15that as their internal dialogue for so many things that are yes in the future
- 28:19or in the present, but they're carrying it from like twenty thirty forty years
- 28:25ago. And so it's realizing that not all the inner voices that are going
- 28:30off in our head are actually ours. And so I really do a body
- 28:36up approach, and not everyone agrees with that, but it is where we
- 28:41get into our body first, as opposed to just doing mindset. I believe
- 28:45in mindset, but without the body work, it's not like it's useless,
- 28:49but the body is still going to hold that into the tension, the body's
- 28:52still going to hold the trauma. And so with the body, the body
- 28:56is where the emotions are stored in. Our inner child is in our heartspace,
- 29:02and so we need the mind. The mind is very powerful. The
- 29:06mind is so powerful what our mind believes our body is going to then live
- 29:11out. So yeah, well you know, so like I do a lot
- 29:17of embodiment practices, mirror work, shadow work meditations where we allow the body
- 29:22to speak to us. And sometimes this is completely new to some people,
- 29:26so it you know it, I guide them through that and step by step.
- 29:32Yeah. Wow, Why it sounds like an amazing program. You said
- 29:40about eight weeks. Well, but I say that because you know it has
- 29:44eight module trainings and um, everyone, it's like a self paced study.
- 29:52So if you want to take a whole month to do one module, you
- 29:55get access to it and then I have monthly connecting coaching call. So you
- 30:00know, last night actually was just a coaching call, and I had someone
- 30:03on there from a year ago that joined, and I had someone on there
- 30:06from like last week you joined. So it's really beautiful and they all empower
- 30:10each other, and I get off the calls and I just have to sit
- 30:12back and go, oh, my goodness, like this is here today because
- 30:15I sat up from my seat, stepped into the unknown, and it's a
- 30:19complete honor. Like sometimes I'll have tears in my eyes because it's like it
- 30:23is such an honor, and I take it very seriously. Just it's an
- 30:26honor to be able to guide people home to themselves. It's it's just it's
- 30:32amazing. So one of the important takeaways from from this particular conversation so that
- 30:40people understand, is not the steps are more important than than the time.
- 30:47So if it takes you longer than the average or trying to say, if
- 30:52it takes you longer than than your neighbor to be able to do it,
- 30:56that's okay because because it's your journey exactly. Yeah. So yeah, and
- 31:04being patient with ourselves, like I always will say slow as fast when we're
- 31:08healing, slow as fast, yeah, yeah, yeah, when when we're
- 31:15talking about things they do with the soul spirit and you know, in our
- 31:22hearts it's big. I get that slow as fast. There's a lot of
- 31:26a lot of what the mind was is contradictory. Makes it makes sense,
- 31:33you know. So yeah, yeah, UM, what what are some of
- 31:41the outcomes that people start to see when they get as they're going through this
- 31:47process for you as you walking through it, Yeah, that's a great question.
- 31:51UM. Recently, you know, someone shared with me that they can
- 31:57understand where their triggers come from. They're not letting their triggers control them.
- 32:04UM, setting boundaries with family, setting boundaries with family, UM, stepping
- 32:08out into their creativity. UM. You know there's some people in the program
- 32:13that you know, wanted to be a photographer, wanted to start their own
- 32:15business. Um, they're stepping out and doing that. UM. We do
- 32:22a lot of work when it comes to fears as well. And so you
- 32:27know, one of the ladies she shared with me that, you know,
- 32:30one of her fears, she's facing it and she's you know, her anxiety
- 32:34is not as heightened. And so again, your your your your results are
- 32:44going to be your own, but your life will not look the same when
- 32:49you enter that program. And like you know, sometimes we see aspects of
- 32:53ourselves that we have to um accept and change. Like one lady she shared
- 33:01with me that she realized, as you know, that she's been controlling and
- 33:07she doesn't want to be controlling. UM. And even that aspect is like
- 33:13huge. So you're meeting your inner child. UM. You get to free
- 33:19your inner child and heal your inner child. And what it changes is the
- 33:22direction of your life, meaning the decisions you make, UM, how you
- 33:28believe in yourself. Right, we're not belittling ourselves were we're UM, we're
- 33:34believing in ourselves. So it really changes the way you show up to your
- 33:38partner, the way you show up to work, the way you show up
- 33:42to yourself when you wake up. UM. I hope that answers your question.
- 33:46It does, it does. It's like I just I remember a point
- 33:52in my own life. It took a lot of work to get out of
- 33:57this. I in a and then I just all of a sudden, I
- 34:01realized that I was actually looking at myself in the American I didn't like who
- 34:07I saw when I looked in the mirror. Yeah. Yeah, basically,
- 34:14I you know, I don't I don't know if my exterior change felt that
- 34:19my jail at whatever. But um, but there was at that point because
- 34:24my soul just didn't like who I was. M And as slowly as I
- 34:31did work and everything, you know, yeah, it's like you found you
- 34:37find these little little things that you're like, oh I can fix that,
- 34:43yes, yes, um yeah. And I mean I do mirror work and
- 34:51I love that you brought that up because this work is definitely for men.
- 34:53It's not just for women. I think that sometimes people assume that, oh,
- 34:58this is very like feminine or just for women, and the thing is
- 35:01it's for men too. Um and so oh shoot, what was I going
- 35:07to say? Um, I think it might be gone for me. There's
- 35:15something that you were saying. It was a really good point. Um,
- 35:22that's okay, it'll come back. Yeah, we'll find it again. Yeah,
- 35:28you know, you know, you know that's the that's the fun part
- 35:30about life. It's like, oh, I forget what that was. It
- 35:35didn't he find it again? M hmm. Yeah. And I think I
- 35:38think one of my big takeaways from doing this work is that I have so
- 35:45much fun with myself. I laugh with myself. I will make a mistake
- 35:50that only I see and instead of like judging myself or ruminating like for days
- 35:54like why did I do that? Like that was so silly because I used
- 35:58to do that. Like I will literally just be in the moment with myself
- 36:01and laugh and like I think that really hit me once. It was about
- 36:05like two years ago. I remember like just being in my room and it
- 36:09was it was a small thing, like I put laundry away wrong, Like
- 36:14I say, quote unquote wrong because there's not really a wrong way to do
- 36:15it, but I just remember like going, oh, Sarah, And then
- 36:19like I just stood there laughing my head off with myself, and I'm like,
- 36:22Okay, this is like sometimes what we can be doing is doing the
- 36:27work, doing the inner work, and we're staying consistent, we're going through
- 36:30it all, and then we just have these moments where we go, oh
- 36:34my goodness, like how far I've come. And that's what's really pivotal too,
- 36:38is that we stay consistent, and then we will have these moments where
- 36:45we will just sit back and go, oh my goodness, like I have
- 36:50prayed or dreamed about being where I am right now, or just feeling the
- 36:52way I'm feeling, like inner peace, not criticizing myself right. So it's
- 36:59huge. Yeah, there's, um the whole theory self talk. You know,
- 37:07we hate ourselves inside our own head and um, how do you help
- 37:13people deal with that? The thing? Um, there's honestly not one way
- 37:21to do it. There's there's a few techniques and um it even goes back
- 37:27to the mirror work of meeting themselves. And when I say mirror work,
- 37:31um, I designed a meditation where we look at ourselves in the mirror and
- 37:37we're learning to accept how we are right here, right now. Um,
- 37:44And so that aspect can help. I have a whole module on how to
- 37:49change our thought pattern, how to how to slow down so we're actually paying
- 37:53attention. It's self awareness and raising our consciousness is so huge because when we
- 37:59do that, we have to actually bring into the awareness what we're thinking.
- 38:01So many of us just are on autopilot and we are just doing the same
- 38:06thing day in and day out, and we don't realize that it can actually
- 38:09maybe it's a bad habit or just sorry, I don't mean to label anything
- 38:13bad, but you know, you know, or it's like it's damaging us
- 38:17and we just don't realize because we've been doing it for so long and we
- 38:22don't realize that, wait a minute, we're actually belittling ourselves. So unfortunately,
- 38:25like I can't say there's just one thing, but I will say it's
- 38:30the body up apppproach. I really believe in it. Where yes, positive
- 38:35affirmations are amazing. Yes, mantras are amazing if you're into that. It's
- 38:40just to me without the body work of like understanding our emotional expression, learning
- 38:46how to connect with ourselves. That it's like a band aid approach to what's
- 38:54going on deeper than the surface. Also why I call it soul talk,
- 38:59because we're getting deep for them the surface and there's we are meeting many versions
- 39:04of ourselves. And I always say we peel it back, layered, layered
- 39:08a time. What might work for someone right here, right today, it
- 39:13might have to shift a little bit in six months from now because they pulled
- 39:15back another layer. Oh my goodness, there's a whole different emotion or a
- 39:20different fear. I had no idea was ruminating in my body. So we
- 39:25peel it back one layer at a time, and it's I guess it comes
- 39:32down to guiding someone home to themselves. But it's hard for me to put
- 39:40it like in just a tangible tip. But you know, for someone who's
- 39:45listening, what I could say is, you know, if there's a question
- 39:51like pay attention to your thoughts. You can even just set an alarm on
- 39:54your phone random and just go, Okay, what was that one thought I
- 39:59was us thinking? Was it criticizing? Was it judging someone else? Was
- 40:04it worrying about something six months from now? Like? What was that thought?
- 40:07I was just thinking? And pull that in and bring your awareness to
- 40:12it. You know, you can ask yourself, UM, is that actually
- 40:15me? Do I actually believe that? Do I want to live in that?
- 40:20Um? And started just opening yourself up to um, to being open
- 40:27to hearing yourself. Right, It's that openness first and the rest will honestly
- 40:32follow that of itself. Is like when you open yourself, the recipe and
- 40:43the recipue just follows. That's that's profounding of itself. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 40:51he results and things like that. Wait, I always people but this
- 41:00these type of questions because it's kind of general and all inspiring sort of thing,
- 41:08and it's time for your question on this one. UM, If you
- 41:15if your system could create the quote unquote perfect world, what would it look
- 41:21like? To you. Oooh, this is a cool question. Um.
- 41:31My perfect worlds would be that everyone would continue to tap into their wonder curiosity,
- 41:45imagination as they get older. UM, that we would focus more on
- 41:50the beauty in the world. That um, there would be a way of
- 41:58you know, everyone having a home. I think it's really hard to accept
- 42:04the fact that there's some people, you know, some people who are they
- 42:14don't have a home, or some people who are really struggling. When we
- 42:16live on an amazing planet, that we have everything we need, we have
- 42:22everything we need if we could, if we could plant and learn how to
- 42:27grow our own food, if we could just we are so so so abundant
- 42:37on this planet and in this world that I think it would be teaching ourselves
- 42:45some of what I think what we're taught backwards, like you know, not
- 42:46depending on so many things, and knowing that we're abundant, knowing that we
- 42:52can what we're capable. I don't know if that fully makes sense, but
- 42:57I think it's it's about embracing the beauty, knowing that we are empowered,
- 43:01abundant beings, that we have everything we need, and living like it right,
- 43:06not living like that we're in scarcity, or that we're fearing our future,
- 43:12we're counting down days to retirement. I don't think we were meant to
- 43:15live that way. I think we were meant to learn how to be.
- 43:20And for two years I worked in a school system where it just I would
- 43:24see the anxiety in the kids younger and younger, and I studied child psychology
- 43:30where you know, it's just I don't. I don't think we have to
- 43:36live this anxious I don't. I don't think so that's not our And I
- 43:40mean there's their thing wrong with I don't want to make anyone feel like there's
- 43:44anything wrong with them. It's just I would just be looking at these kids
- 43:49that were three or four, and I'm like, we were to teach them
- 43:52meditation and in grounding tools and emotional techniques now while they're young, as opposed
- 43:58to relearning it when we're adults, right, And so it's it's a mixture
- 44:02of things, but UM for people to know who they are UM us to
- 44:10be so unique yet so connected, and to be living to our full potential,
- 44:22it's that's beautiful. UM. The best way to get a hold of
- 44:30being work with the UM. Sure, so the best way is probably my
- 44:35Instagram account it is soul Talk, Underscore Awakening, um or my website is
- 44:42just Sarah Evangeline dot org. So that's super easy. Um, it shows
- 44:46you know what the soul talk method is, how to get in touch with
