Security Held the Line even as Funding Failed, Teslas win Food Stamps & The Tragic Math of Liberal Homeless Policy Week In Review · The 47 Morning Update with Ben Ferguson

• 0:00
Speaker 1: Welcome. It is Vertic with Ted Cruz Ben Ferguson with you.
• 0:03
Speaker 1: It's nice to have you with us on the week
• 0:05
Speaker 1: in review. And here are the big stories you may
• 0:07
Speaker 1: have missed that we talked about this week. First up,
• 0:10
Speaker 1: another assassination attempt on the president of United States of
• 0:13
Speaker 1: America and Democrats still playing politics, not wanting to pay
• 0:17
Speaker 1: the secret service. They showed up to do their job,
• 0:21
Speaker 1: but Democrats don't want them to get a paycheck. We'll
• 0:23
Speaker 1: explain that. Also, the FBI, they've had major raids this
• 0:28
Speaker 1: week in Minnesota, including the famous Leering center, you know
• 0:33
Speaker 1: the sign that was supposed to say learning center.
• 0:35
Speaker 2: So what's behind all this?
• 0:37
Speaker 1: And is the president paying off on stopping waste, fraud
• 0:40
Speaker 1: and abuse. And finally, if you're homeless, well you may
• 0:44
Speaker 1: get bonus points. If you have a certain skin color
• 0:47
Speaker 1: before you get benefits. And if you check the right
• 0:51
Speaker 1: box on if you're gay, lesbian, or transgender, how does
• 0:55
Speaker 1: that get you ahead of people that are senior citizens.
• 0:57
Speaker 1: It's all been set up by the Democrats. It's a
• 1:00
Speaker 1: weekend review and it starts right now. Let me ask
• 1:04
Speaker 1: you another question on this and this is I know
• 1:07
Speaker 1: the answer, but I think the audience needs to know this.
• 1:10
Speaker 1: The President was talking about how the Secret Service did
• 1:13
Speaker 1: an amazing job and making sure that this threat was neutralized.
• 1:21
Speaker 1: Do those guys get paychecks right now that we're at
• 1:23
Speaker 1: the White House Correspondence Center.
• 1:24
Speaker 3: Look, DHS is shut down. It's been shut down for
• 1:27
Speaker 3: more than two months, so they're not getting paid. Well,
• 1:31
Speaker 3: some of them are getting paid because the President is
• 1:33
Speaker 3: reallocating money from other parts of the budget. So some
• 1:36
Speaker 3: of them have gotten paychecks.
• 1:38
Speaker 2: But the Democrats are saying they don't want them paid.
• 1:41
Speaker 3: The Democrats have voted against funding the Secret Service, funding
• 1:46
Speaker 3: the Department of Homeland Security. They voted against it sixteen times.
• 1:51
Speaker 3: And by the way, there were Democrats at that event.
• 1:55
Speaker 3: That event, in fact, there were more Democrats in that
• 1:57
Speaker 3: room than there were Republicans because it's mostly rapports and
• 2:00
Speaker 3: they're almost all either Democrats or further left. And the
• 2:05
Speaker 3: Secret Service. Look, when they stop this shooter, any one
• 2:08
Speaker 3: of them could be killed. You know, I don't know,
• 2:10
Speaker 3: if you're a Democrat, how you justify going and voting
• 2:14
Speaker 3: against paying for the Secret Service when they may have
• 2:17
Speaker 3: quite literally saved your life the couple days before.
• 2:22
Speaker 1: But I have no doubt that they would still vote
• 2:24
Speaker 1: against it, right, they would. They would vote against it.
• 2:26
Speaker 1: They would say no, we're not going to fund them,
• 2:28
Speaker 1: like they're unified on that.
• 2:29
  Speaker 3: I don't know what they're going to do next. I
• 2:32
Speaker 3: do know that they voted sixteen times against it. I'll
• 2:35
Speaker 3: also point out, you know, you look at the litigation
• 2:38
Speaker 3: against the new ballroom that President Trump is building.
• 2:41
  Speaker 2: And yes, that.
• 2:42
Speaker 3: Litigation, a federal district judge enjoined construction of the ballroom
• 2:47
Speaker 3: order that it be halted. And here was his reasoning.
• 2:50
Speaker 3: I want you to listen to it, because it's absurd
• 2:54
Speaker 3: on its face. Quote. The fact that the ballroom is
• 2:58
Speaker 3: planned to include secure features such as bulletproof windows and
• 3:03
Speaker 3: a drone proof roof does not bring the structure within
• 3:06
Speaker 3: the scope of the national security exception. While these features
• 3:11
Speaker 3: may well be beneficial, defendants have not provided any national
• 3:16
Speaker 3: security justification for why these features must be installed immediately
• 3:23
Speaker 3: such that they should be excluded from the scope of
• 3:26
Speaker 3: the injunction. Now I'm going to give you the technical
• 3:29
Speaker 3: legal definition of that segment of the of the district
• 3:34
Speaker 3: Court's ruling. That is stupid. It is stupid on its face,
• 3:40
Speaker 3: and now thankfully that injunction was stayed by the Court
• 3:44
Speaker 3: of a Field, so it's not in effect. But the
• 3:46
Speaker 3: federal district judge was saying, I see no national security justification.
• 3:50
Speaker 3: Three times wow, in about a year. We have seen
• 3:57
Speaker 3: President Trump attempt at a year and attempted to be assassinated,
• 4:02
Speaker 3: and yet the judge is saying, Look, if it were
• 4:04
Speaker 3: in the White House ballroom, if you had the security
• 4:07
Speaker 3: of the White House, that would be a much safer
• 4:09
Speaker 3: place to minimize these kinds of threats. And sadly, I
• 4:13
Speaker 3: think the odds are high. This is not the last
• 4:17
Speaker 3: attempted assassination of President Trump. They were leftists out there
• 4:21
Speaker 3: who were hearing Hakeem Jeffries wore all the time. Everywhere.
• 4:26
Speaker 3: They're hearing Democrat after Democrat after democrat using language that
• 4:33
Speaker 3: is not even a dog whistle. It's not even a
• 4:35
Speaker 3: coded call to violence. Their lunatic supporters know exactly what
• 4:42
  Speaker 3: they're saying.
• 4:43
Speaker 2: You know, you go back the ballroom of the politics
• 4:45
  Speaker 2: of this.
• 4:45
Speaker 1: By the way it was made, private funds came in
• 4:47
Speaker 1: to pay for this as well, and there was Democrats
• 4:51
Speaker 1: are obsessed with this ballroom. They don't want it to
• 4:53
Speaker 1: happen because Donald Trump's won doing it. And the other
• 4:56
Speaker 1: thing I think it was interesting is the President sent
• 4:58
Speaker 1: an interview in sixty minutes that this has been something
• 5:00
Speaker 1: that the that the Secret Service and the military have
• 5:03
Speaker 1: been saying for like basically the last one hundred years.
• 5:05
Speaker 1: We need this because it's a way to have events
• 5:07
Speaker 1: in a safe manner. You look at the hotel where
• 5:10
Speaker 1: the White House corresponds there was last night.
• 5:12
Speaker 2: I've gone to countless events there. I know you have.
• 5:14
Speaker 1: I mean, how many how many events do you think
• 5:15
Speaker 1: you've been to that thing in your in your political lifetime,
• 5:17
Speaker 1: Like almost every event is there because it's one of
• 5:20
Speaker 1: the bigger, closest places.
• 5:21
Speaker 3: And the nickname that that pretty much everyone in politics
• 5:25
Speaker 3: calls it is the Hinckley Hilton because it is a
• 5:28
Speaker 3: hotel where John Hinckley shot President Reagan. And it's just
• 5:33
Speaker 3: I mean, you say, oh, we've got an event, it
• 5:34
Speaker 3: is Hinkley Hilton. That's just that's just what they call it.
• 5:37
Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, and and and and this goes back
• 5:40
Speaker 1: to the Secret services obsession with safety is we do
• 5:45
Speaker 1: the best we can. We have all this security, it's
• 5:48
Speaker 1: still a hotel. This guy was able to check in
• 5:50
Speaker 1: apparently on Friday. It still operates like a hotel. We're
• 5:53
Speaker 1: rushing people out the back. I had friends at Fox
• 5:56
Speaker 1: News that were rushed through the back of the of
• 5:58
Speaker 1: the hotel through the kitchen to try to keep them
• 6:02
Speaker 1: safe after all this went down. And as you mentioned,
• 6:06
Speaker 1: the nickname of the hotel goes directly back to Ronald Reagan.
• 6:09
Speaker 1: Which again, if any of these Democrats are against having
• 6:12
Speaker 1: a ballroom, which by the way, will benefit Democrats in
• 6:15
Speaker 1: the White House, there will be more Democrats in the
• 6:17
Speaker 1: White House. I believe in our lifetimes that's the way
• 6:19
Speaker 1: politics works. It will keep them safe as well, because
• 6:23
Speaker 1: I never want to see an American president assassinated. I
• 6:25
  Speaker 1: don't care if you're a Republican or a Democrat. And
• 6:28
Speaker 1: this is the difference between the Democratic Party and the
• 6:30
Speaker 1: Republican Party is Democrats call for this type of violence
• 6:33
Speaker 1: and assassinations and celebrate when people like Charlie Kirk get shot,
• 6:36
Speaker 1: and we on the right say we don't want anyone
• 6:38
Speaker 1: to die because of their political beliefs, even if they're
• 6:41
  Speaker 1: against me.
• 6:43
Speaker 3: That you are absolutely right. Violence is wrong, period. I
• 6:48
Speaker 3: do think this attempted assassination it is the fruits of
• 6:53
Speaker 3: a corrupted elite academic system. Where did this kid get radicalized?
• 6:59
Speaker 3: I think the odds are quite likely at cal Tech,
• 7:02
Speaker 3: being trained by leftists. And and look, he wrote his
• 7:07
Speaker 3: manifesto and and and I'm not interested in in highlighting
• 7:12
Speaker 3: his his deranged attacks on President Trump. But I actually
• 7:17
Speaker 3: do want to read a little bit of it, because
• 7:19
Speaker 3: he he put out a series of objections and rebuttals
• 7:23
Speaker 3: and and and they show just how twisted the indoctrination is.
• 7:31
Speaker 3: So he writes objection one, As a Christian, you should
• 7:36
Speaker 3: turn the other cheek. By the way, this guy calls
• 7:39
Speaker 3: himself a Christian, he claims to be a Christian rebuttal.
• 7:44
Speaker 3: Turning the other cheek is for when you yourself are oppressed.
• 7:48
Speaker 3: I'm not the person raped in a detention camp. I'm
• 7:51
Speaker 3: not the fisherman executed without a trial. I'm not a
• 7:55
Speaker 3: school kid blown up, or a child starved, or a
• 7:57
Speaker 3: teenage girl abused by the man any criminals in this administration.
• 8:02
Speaker 3: Turning the other cheek when someone else is oppressed is
• 8:05
Speaker 3: not Christian behavior. It is complicity in the oppressors crimes.
• 8:11
Speaker 3: By the way, listen to that language, complicity and the
• 8:14
Speaker 3: oppressor's cluck crimes That is Marxist language of oppressors and victims,
• 8:19
Speaker 3: and he is repeating what leftists have indoctrinated him in university.
• 8:29
Speaker 3: Here was his next objection two, This is not a
• 8:33
Speaker 3: convenient time for you to do this, rebuttal, I need
• 8:36
Speaker 3: whoever thinks this way to take a couple of minutes
• 8:39
Speaker 3: and realize that the world isn't about them. Do you
• 8:42
Speaker 3: think that when I see someone raped or murdered or abused,
• 8:45
Speaker 3: I should walk on by because it would be inconvenient
• 8:47
Speaker 3: for people who aren't the victim. This is the best
• 8:50
Speaker 3: timing and chance of success. I could come up with
• 8:54
Speaker 3: objection number three. You didn't get them all. So he
• 8:59
Speaker 3: believe he was going to kill President Trump multiple members
• 9:03
Speaker 3: of the cabinet, but he recognized someone would live, the
• 9:07
Speaker 3: vice president. His speak, his rebuttal gotta start somewhere. This
• 9:15
Speaker 3: is the consequence of consistent radical indoctrination, and indoctrination that
• 9:24
Speaker 3: says that that that in Marxist ideology, the oppressor oppresses
• 9:30
Speaker 3: the victim, and violence is justified in overthrowing the oppressor.
• 9:35
Speaker 3: This young man was taught that garbage. The young man
• 9:39
Speaker 3: who murdered the United Healthcare CEO was taught that garbage,
• 9:42
Speaker 3: and the people purveying this poison, they are doing massive damage.
• 9:48
Speaker 3: The lunatic who tried to murder Brett Kavanaugh was taught
• 9:51
Speaker 3: that garbage. And when you teach people violence is okay
• 9:58
Speaker 3: and you justified and justified, morally justified, you must act.
• 10:03
Speaker 3: By the way, this lunatic was not at all worried
• 10:07
Speaker 3: about about all the children who were raped by human
• 10:09
Speaker 3: traffickers under the Democrats' open borders, that those crimes. He
• 10:14
Speaker 3: was not worried about the people murdered by illegal alien
• 10:17
Speaker 3: criminals and gangbangers released, that those murders don't concern them
• 10:20
Speaker 3: at all. It's kind of like the leftists who hate
• 10:23
Speaker 3: Israel and are constantly protesting against Israel, and yet when
• 10:29
Speaker 3: Iran murders between ten and forty thousand protesters, not a
• 10:33
Speaker 3: single leftist utters a peep because they only care about
• 10:39
Speaker 3: the people they deem oppressors. And I really do hope
• 10:43
Speaker 3: that some responsible Democrat office holders stand up and say,
• 10:48
Speaker 3: you know, the rhetoric that my party is using is
• 10:54
Speaker 3: producing horrible results and we need to stop. But I
• 11:00
Speaker 3: got to say, other than John Fetterman, I don't see
• 11:02
Speaker 3: anyone doing that now.
• 11:03
Speaker 2: If you want to hear the rest of this conversation.
• 11:06
Speaker 1: You can go back and listen to the full podcast
• 11:08
Speaker 1: from earlier this week.
• 11:11
Speaker 2: Now onto story number two.
• 11:12
Speaker 1: On in Center, I want to move center on to
• 11:15
Speaker 1: another topic, and that is some good news for people
• 11:17
Speaker 1: that are sick and tired of seeing crimes committed in
• 11:20
Speaker 1: one actual action, especially when it comes to taxpayer dollars
• 11:23
Speaker 1: disappearing by the tens of billions. And now we have
• 11:27
Speaker 1: the FBI that has rated the Minneapolis fraud ridden care centers.
• 11:33
Speaker 1: Twenty plus of these that were actually rated by the FBI,
• 11:36
Speaker 1: including the famous children's leering center that was supposed to
• 11:41
Speaker 1: say on their sign learning but it was just a
• 11:43
  Speaker 1: leering center.
• 11:44
Speaker 2: That one was rated as well.
• 11:46
Speaker 1: And I am excited to just say, at least it
• 11:50
Speaker 1: looks like now we're getting some real action into stopping
• 11:54
Speaker 1: this fraud, into showing that if you take away taxpayer
• 11:57
Speaker 1: dollars this way and you send it to tears organizations
• 12:00
Speaker 1: like als JABAB, and you bribe democrats to look the
• 12:03
Speaker 1: other way, like Governor Waltz, but with campaign contributions, somebody
• 12:08
Speaker 1: is at least going to come in and actually hold
• 12:10
  Speaker 1: you accountable.
• 12:11
Speaker 3: Yes, look, I'm very glad that there is finally going
• 12:13
Speaker 3: to be some accountability. Twenty two locations in Minneapolis rated
• 12:18
Speaker 3: by the FBI this week. You mentioned the Quality Leering Center.
• 12:21
Speaker 3: Of course they're most proud graduate ilhan Omar, who actually
• 12:25
  Speaker 3: is not technical.
• 12:27
Speaker 1: We had World War eleven yesterday? Did you know about that?
• 12:29
Speaker 1: We got eleven war wars? That's impressive stuff. I didn't
• 12:32
Speaker 1: think the King of England knew that.
• 12:34
Speaker 3: It really is stunning. So she was giving a speech
• 12:37
Speaker 3: and the speech referenced World War two, but the two
• 12:41
Speaker 3: is two Roman numerals, and that's you know how you
• 12:43
Speaker 3: normally write world War two. And she read that as
• 12:47
Speaker 3: World War eleven, yes now.
• 12:50
Speaker 1: And didn't like correct herself, just owned it and kept
• 12:52
Speaker 1: going like it was not like if you or I
• 12:54
Speaker 1: did that. And by the way, if you've ever read
• 12:56
Speaker 1: a speech and you're tired or you're just kind of
• 12:59
Speaker 1: it's a long day, you might but you immediately corrected.
• 13:03
Speaker 2: She had no clue, no idea.
• 13:05
Speaker 3: Look, look, there's a level of ignorance there. If a
• 13:09
Speaker 3: ninth grader thought World War II was World War eleven,
• 13:14
Speaker 3: you would flunk that ninth grader. I mean, you think
• 13:17
  Speaker 3: about it years.
• 13:18
Speaker 1: Too nowadays we'll just socially just pass them on in
• 13:21
Speaker 1: our public school. So so back in the good old days,
• 13:23
  Speaker 1: you'd fail.
• 13:24
  Speaker 2: Look.
• 13:24
Speaker 3: Look, Ilhan Omar is one of the leading Democrats. She
• 13:27
Speaker 3: and AOC and I mean the crazy squad is driving
• 13:30
Speaker 3: the agenda of Democrats today. And the level of ignorance
• 13:34
Speaker 3: of basic world history it is really stunning. And Omar
• 13:42
Speaker 3: was also integral in covering up the Somali fraud in Minnesota.
• 13:48
Speaker 3: She was a beneficiary of it. She was elected by
• 13:52
Speaker 3: the fraudsters. The Somali voting base is her core base.
• 13:58
Speaker 3: Their money helped elect her, their votes did elect her.
• 14:03
Speaker 3: And she and Tim Wallson the governor, and Keith Ellison,
• 14:07
Speaker 3: the ag they were all absolutely involved in the cover up.
• 14:12
Speaker 3: They had every incentive. It was corrupt, and we're talking
• 14:15
Speaker 3: over nine billion dollars of taxpayer money swindled away. And
• 14:19
Speaker 3: so here's what Fox News reported about the raids. Federal
• 14:24
Speaker 3: authorities rated more than twenty locations, including childcare facilities, in
• 14:28
Speaker 3: Minneapolis on Tuesday as part of a sweeping fraud investigation
• 14:32
Speaker 3: into largely Somali owned businesses. Sources confirmed to Fox News.
• 14:37
Speaker 3: Quote today, the FBI, with federal, state and local law
• 14:40
Speaker 3: enforcement is involved in court authorized law enforcement activity as
• 14:45
Speaker 3: part of an ongoing fraud investigation. A Department of Justice
• 14:48
Speaker 3: spokesperson said authorities executed twenty two federal search warrants in
• 14:53
Speaker 3: Minnesota on Tuesday morning as part of the operation, which
• 14:57
Speaker 3: is not immigration related. Sources said the raids center on
• 15:01
Speaker 3: federal fraud investigations into largely Somali owned businesses, including childcare
• 15:05
Speaker 3: facilities that registered their daycare with the state but were
• 15:11
Speaker 3: allegedly billing for care that was not provided. Sources told
• 15:15
Speaker 3: Fox News that two of the raids were conducted at
• 15:17
Speaker 3: the Quality Leering Center and Baby Halem No Childcare, both
• 15:22
Speaker 3: in Minneapolis. Vice President j D Vance addressed the raids
• 15:26
Speaker 3: a post on x, writing, the task force of the
• 15:28
Speaker 3: DOJ will be relentless and exposing these fraudsters wherever they
• 15:33
Speaker 3: may be hiding. Governor Tim Waltz, this is you you
• 15:38
Speaker 3: want to talk about. Amazing Hutspot said. The raids were
• 15:41
Speaker 3: carried out by federal and state law enforcement after state
• 15:45
Speaker 3: agencies quote caught irregular behavior and reported it. Quote. If
• 15:51
Speaker 3: you commit fraud in Minnesota, you're going to get caught.
• 15:54
Speaker 3: And that's exactly what we saw today. We catch criminals
• 15:58
Speaker 3: when state and federal agencies share information, join investigations work,
• 16:02
Speaker 3: and securing justice depends upon it. Now that truly is
• 16:06
Speaker 3: stunning because Walts, his entire governorship, has looked the other
• 16:11
Speaker 3: way on massive fraud, has refused to investigate it, has
• 16:14
Speaker 3: profited from it, has been elected by it, has taken
• 16:17
Speaker 3: campaign donations from it. The entire Democrat machinery was built
• 16:23
Speaker 3: on fraud. And now he's taking credit. That really is
• 16:27
Speaker 3: like the arsonists taking credit when the firefighters turn up
• 16:31
Speaker 3: and put out the fire.
• 16:32
Speaker 2: Yeah, it really is.
• 16:33
Speaker 1: And it's all because now he's not running for reelection, right,
• 16:36
Speaker 1: so he can just be like, oh, we're rooting out
• 16:38
Speaker 1: fraud and try to I guess rebuild his legacy. So
• 16:40
Speaker 1: maybe he can have a grand comeback one day. I
• 16:42
Speaker 1: don't know if that's going to work. There's one aspect
• 16:45
Speaker 1: of this though center that excites me, and it's the
• 16:48
Speaker 1: fact that it's clear this is the beginning, not the end,
• 16:51
Speaker 1: based on what was said by the DOJ, like this
• 16:55
Speaker 1: is the tip of the iceberg. We're going to the
• 16:57
Speaker 1: catalyst point. And then there's been directives at all states,
• 17:01
Speaker 1: including Republican led states, to start looking at waste fraud
• 17:05
  Speaker 1: and abuse.
• 17:06
Speaker 2: They're looking at California.
• 17:07
Speaker 1: I think you're gonna see more people that are gonna
• 17:09
Speaker 1: be indicted and more places that are going to be
• 17:11
Speaker 1: rated outside of Minnesota. That is exactly what the American
• 17:15
Speaker 1: people voted for, which was to get rid of waste
• 17:17
  Speaker 1: fraud abuse.
• 17:18
Speaker 3: That is exactly right. And I will point out also
• 17:21
Speaker 3: that other Blue states are coming. California is coming. I
• 17:26
Speaker 3: have every reason to expect, and indeed, I've been told
• 17:29
Speaker 3: by senior officials in the administration California is even worse, yeah,
• 17:35
Speaker 3: than Minneapolis has been. And I want you also give
• 17:39
Speaker 3: a listen to Agriculture Secretary Brook Rawlins and what she
• 17:44
Speaker 3: revealed about fraud and abuse concerning SNAP. Concerning food stamps,
• 17:49
Speaker 3: give a listen to to Secretary Rollins.
• 17:51
Speaker 2: Yeah, this one's amazing.
• 17:52
Speaker 1: By the way, for context, this is about luxury cars
• 17:56
Speaker 1: and how many people on food stamps are driving like
• 17:58
  Speaker 1: luxury cars.
• 17:59
  Speaker 2: It's incredible sharing.
• 18:01
Speaker 4: Previously, no data was shared. We had no idea where
• 18:03
Speaker 4: the taxpayer dollars were spent, just one red state. The
• 18:07
Speaker 4: recent dump of data, we found SNAP recipients had more
• 18:10
Speaker 4: than two thousand Tesla owners, two hundred Alpha Romeo owners
• 18:15
Speaker 4: more than one hundred and forty four that were receiving
• 18:17
Speaker 4: food stamps. We're driving Porsches. Again, this is the data
• 18:21
Speaker 4: dumps we're getting because that we before we had no
• 18:24
Speaker 4: accountability on any of these programs. We now are requiring accountability.
• 18:28
Speaker 4: The Blue states are suing us. They don't want to
• 18:30
Speaker 4: share the data. And can you imagine this was a
• 18:33
Speaker 4: red state where there is actually some taxpayer accountability. Imagine
• 18:38
Speaker 4: what's happening in the Blue states. If that's happening in
• 18:41
  Speaker 4: the red.
• 18:41
Speaker 2: State, well, I love that.
• 18:43
Speaker 1: It's like a bunch of Tesla owners, Alpha Romeo, also Porsches, Mercedes,
• 18:48
Speaker 1: BMW's and you're on food stamps.
• 18:50
Speaker 2: Like these were high end luxury.
• 18:52
Speaker 3: Actually, Ben it's even worse. So let me give some
• 18:55
Speaker 3: additional breakdown. So there are three hundred and six land Rovers.
• 19:00
Speaker 2: They were worth cheap, by the way.
• 19:01
Speaker 3: There were fifty nine Maseratis.
• 19:05
Speaker 2: Yeah, there were bird stamp car you know that.
• 19:08
Speaker 3: There were eleven Lamborghinis, There were three Ferraris, there were
• 19:16
Speaker 3: three Bentley's. These are people getting food stamps driving a
• 19:22
Speaker 3: quarter million dollar or more. Like a Lamborghini could be
• 19:25
Speaker 3: a million dollar car depending on which one they had. Yeah,
• 19:29
Speaker 3: that is an absolute abuse. And if that happened in
• 19:34
Speaker 3: just one red state that handed over its data, how
• 19:36
Speaker 3: much do you think it's happening in Minnesota. How much
• 19:39
Speaker 3: do you think it's happening in New York? How much
• 19:41
Speaker 3: do you think it is happening in Illinois. How much
• 19:43
Speaker 3: you think it's happening in California. The numbers are going
• 19:46
  Speaker 3: to be done.
• 19:47
Speaker 1: Every time they went after and got somebody there for
• 19:49
Speaker 1: fraud recently, what were they doing? You saw them putting
• 19:52
Speaker 1: in a six figure car that was being c's and
• 19:57
Speaker 1: some of the cases there was like multiple six figure
• 19:59
Speaker 1: cars that were being c center and put on flatbeds. Like, yeah,
• 20:03
Speaker 1: they finally raided the house for this fraudster, and look
• 20:05
Speaker 1: at what they had. Like, if you're on food stamps
• 20:07
Speaker 1: and you're driving a Lambo or a Ferrari or a Maserati,
• 20:11
Speaker 1: like you were defrauding the US government, full.
• 20:13
Speaker 3: Stop, Amen, hallelujah and listen. I'm very glad the Trump
• 20:20
Speaker 3: administration is having some accountability. Let me read from what
• 20:25
Speaker 3: the New York Post wrote about this, this story about
• 20:28
Speaker 3: Ferrari drivers on food stamps. So it's entitled Ferrari drivers
• 20:31
Speaker 3: on food stamps. How states helped scammers game welfare New
• 20:36
Speaker 3: York Post. What do a university professor, a celebrity barber,
• 20:40
Speaker 3: and a professional football player have in common? All three
• 20:44
Speaker 3: bought new six figure luxury sports cars and lived lavish
• 20:48
Speaker 3: lifestyles while collecting food stamps. How on earth can these
• 20:54
Speaker 3: quote welfare recipients purchase high end vehicles while remaining on
• 20:58
Speaker 3: the dole thanks to a federal loophole known as broad
• 21:02
Speaker 3: based categorical eligibility. The Clinton administration manufactured this loophole and
• 21:07
Speaker 3: the Obama administration supercharged it. Currently, forty three states in Washington,
• 21:13
Speaker 3: d C used broad based categorical eligibility to bypass federal
• 21:18
Speaker 3: Supplemental Nutrition Assistant Program eligibility limits on income, assets, or both.
• 21:26
Speaker 3: The mechanism, based on a federal law that was meant
• 21:29
Speaker 3: to minimize state's administrative cost is simple. State welfare agencies
• 21:33
Speaker 3: print up a brochure about welfare programs or set up
• 21:36
Speaker 3: an informal hotline and deem it a quote benefit under
• 21:40
Speaker 3: the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program. Anyone who touches
• 21:45
Speaker 3: that pamphlet, touches or receives the phone number is then
• 21:51
Speaker 3: treated as being quote categorically eligible for food stamps, even millionaires.
• 22:00
Speaker 3: Its fraud by design that distributes benefits intended for the
• 22:04
Speaker 3: truly needy to otherwise ineligible individuals under the insidious goal
• 22:09
Speaker 3: of maximizing enrollment and dependency, and it works in almost
• 22:14
Speaker 3: every state. Researchers from the Foundation for Government Accountability examined
• 22:19
Speaker 3: de identified data on food stamp enrollment in a single
• 22:22
Speaker 3: representative state. The data set matched recipients with jobs, addresses,
• 22:29
Speaker 3: car registrations, and more, and then they redacted the personal
• 22:33
Speaker 3: details before the researchers reviewed. That's what produced these outcomes.
• 22:39
Speaker 3: And by the way, it also thousands used Social Security
• 22:45
Speaker 3: numbers that federal databases could not verify. That included real
• 22:50
Speaker 3: numbers with mismatched names and birthdays, numbers issued years before
• 22:55
Speaker 3: the applicant's date of birth, numbers of people who died
• 23:00
Speaker 3: years ago, and numbers that don't even exist. All are
• 23:04
Speaker 3: clear signs that both stolen identities and synthetic identities are
• 23:10
Speaker 3: being used to defraud the system. The BBCEE loophole doesn't
• 23:15
Speaker 3: just expand enrollments, it creates the condition for outright criminals
• 23:19
Speaker 3: to flourish when state agencies eliminate asset checks, they tear
• 23:24
Speaker 3: out the trip wires that cost fraudulent applications. This is
• 23:30
Speaker 3: a case in point. The wealthy professor, barber, and professional
• 23:35
Speaker 3: athlete that FGA researchers spotted could be victims of identity
• 23:39
Speaker 3: fraud because Snap intentionally allows anything to serve as proof
• 23:45
Speaker 3: of identity, even a library card. If states were cross
• 23:50
Speaker 3: checking income and assets, those cases would be flagged as
• 23:54
Speaker 3: potential fraud. Thousands more here's something else, thousands more food
• 23:59
Speaker 3: stamp recipients in the study enrolled using IP addresses traced
• 24:04
Speaker 3: to foreign countries, including China, Mexico, and Canada. More than
• 24:10
Speaker 3: five thousand applicants in this state used foreign based email
• 24:14
Speaker 3: addresses to apply, and countless others used disposable emails. The
• 24:19
Speaker 3: kind design for identity theft and phishing. Look. The USDA
• 24:24
Speaker 3: puts improper food stamp payments at ten point four billion
• 24:29
  Speaker 3: dollars a year with a b that's more than one
• 24:33
Speaker 3: in every ten dollars spent on the program. And so
• 24:38
Speaker 3: now we're going after that fraud. And I'm here to say, yes,
• 24:43
Speaker 3: this is what I voted for. Holding the criminals accountable
• 24:46
Speaker 3: and by the way, holding the democrats accountable. Who have
• 24:49
Speaker 3: enabled this theft of taxpayer fraud. You want to know
• 24:53
Speaker 3: what the Democrats stand for. They stand for Somali fraudsters,
• 24:56
Speaker 3: stealing your tax money and sending it to al Shabab,
• 24:59
Speaker 3: Islam terrorists and Somalia. They stand for thieves driving Bentley's
• 25:05
Speaker 3: and Lamborghinis and ferraris who say they need food stamps
• 25:09
Speaker 3: and stealing your money.
• 25:10
  Speaker 2: That is.
• 25:12
Speaker 3: I And by the way, look, sometimes Heidi will say, gosh,
• 25:16
Speaker 3: you know that rhetoric sounds really harsh. Well, Ben, if
• 25:21
Speaker 3: the Democrats don't stand for that, then I just want
• 25:24
Speaker 3: to ask you a question. Why wouldn't Democrat governors do
• 25:28
Speaker 3: what the Trump administration has done. Why wouldn't they go
• 25:31
Speaker 3: after and cut them off? And they don't do it
• 25:35
Speaker 3: because ideologically they are in favor of it. If they
• 25:39
Speaker 3: just said, I mean, is there one Democrat in the
• 25:41
Speaker 3: country will say, all right, we're gonna have a rule
• 25:43
Speaker 3: nobody on food stamps can have a ferrari. Like if
• 25:46
Speaker 3: you have a ferrari, sell your damn car and buy
• 25:51
Speaker 3: your food with that money you get for selling your car,
• 25:53
Speaker 3: but you don't get if you got the money for
• 25:55
Speaker 3: a Ferrari. We ain't paying for your food. I gotta
• 25:58
Speaker 3: say that sounds like common sense, and there's not a
• 26:00
Speaker 3: single Democrat governor in the country that's saying that.
• 26:04
Speaker 1: Am into that. Don't forget We do this show Monday,
• 26:06
Speaker 1: Wednesday Friday. Hit that subscriber auto download button. Please share
• 26:09
Speaker 1: this podcast with your family and friends, share it on
• 26:13
Speaker 1: your social media pages wherever you are on social media,
• 26:16
Speaker 1: and the Senator I will see you back here on
• 26:18
Speaker 1: Friday morning. As before. If you want to hear the
• 26:20
Speaker 1: rest of this conversation on this topic, you can go
• 26:23
Speaker 1: back and download the podcast from earlier this week to
• 26:26
Speaker 1: hear the entire thing. I want to get back to
• 26:29
Speaker 1: the big story number three of the week. You may
• 26:31
Speaker 1: have missed, Senator, this might be one of the most
• 26:34
Speaker 1: entertaining stories that I've seen in a long time. If
• 26:37
Speaker 1: you want to know how bigoted the Democratic Party is,
• 26:41
Speaker 1: look no further than how they treat homeless people. They've
• 26:46
Speaker 1: got a scoring mechanism. Now you get bonus points for
• 26:51
Speaker 1: certain things while being homeless in America, and then you
• 26:55
Speaker 1: get services aka rewarded based on your race and your
• 27:00
Speaker 1: sexual identity. Now this is like English is a second
• 27:04
Speaker 1: language gets you two points.
• 27:06
Speaker 2: So just think of that as a jumper.
• 27:08
Speaker 1: If you're pregnant, that's a three pointer. We give you
• 27:11
Speaker 1: more points if you're pregnant. If you're a child under five,
• 27:14
Speaker 1: you get three points. If you're a child under eighteen,
• 27:17
Speaker 1: you only get one point. So, in other words, and
• 27:19
Speaker 1: if you're head of household and you're under eighteen, we give.
• 27:22
Speaker 2: You bonus points two points for that.
• 27:24
Speaker 1: There's an actual quota list of points you receive depending
• 27:28
Speaker 1: on how you describe yourself. And if you say that
• 27:30
Speaker 1: you know you're gay or lesbian or transitdor that's bonus
• 27:34
  Speaker 1: points as well.
• 27:35
Speaker 3: So look, we talked a minute ago about the hierarchy
• 27:39
Speaker 3: of victim groups in the Democrat Party. It's a notion
• 27:43
Speaker 3: that's called intersectionality. And in the Democrat Party, being LGBT
• 27:50
Speaker 3: or being a racial minority is more privileged than simply
• 27:55
Speaker 3: being poor and being homeless. And let's talk. We're gonna
• 27:59
Speaker 3: talk about Portland, because Portland, Oregon is almost like a
• 28:02
Speaker 3: deranged faculty lounge experiment gone awry. I'm going to read
• 28:09
Speaker 3: from an article in pro Publica. To be clear, pro
• 28:11
Speaker 3: Publica is not a right wing outlet. It is a
• 28:14
Speaker 3: left wing outlet. But here's what they described. Quote As
• 28:18
Speaker 3: the city of Portland, Oregon, clawed its way out of
• 28:20
Speaker 3: the pandemic, it faced a new set of crises. The
• 28:23
Speaker 3: city's homeless population was growing tense lined some city blocks.
• 28:29
Speaker 3: High powered business associations held press conferences demanding the city
• 28:32
Speaker 3: remove homeless people, and touted self funded survey saying that
• 28:36
Speaker 3: without action, businesses and residents would flee the city. By
• 28:41
Speaker 3: late spring twenty twenty one, the city committed to a
• 28:44
Speaker 3: new strategy that then Mayor Ted Wheeler said would quote
• 28:49
Speaker 3: reprioritize public health and safety among homeless Portlanders, ultimately allocating
• 28:55
Speaker 3: one point three billion dollars by the end of twenty
• 29:01
Speaker 3: twenty four. Now, let's see what the results were. Although
• 29:06
Speaker 3: the city spent roughly two hundred thousand dollars per homeless resident.
• 29:13
Speaker 3: Now let's stop and think two hundred grand per homeless resident.
• 29:16
Speaker 3: You could house them and feed them. Two hundred grand
• 29:19
Speaker 3: is a lot of money. That's what they spent. What
• 29:21
Speaker 3: do you think it did. What do you think massively
• 29:25
Speaker 3: spending and saying we're prioritizing the safety of homeless people,
• 29:28
Speaker 3: what do you think it produced.
• 29:29
Speaker 1: I'm gonna guess close to nothing. Because it's a government program.
• 29:32
Speaker 1: At liberals are in charge. Sorry, call me a c You're.
• 29:35
Speaker 3: Not cynical enough. Nothing would be better close to nothing
• 29:40
Speaker 3: would be better. The death rate among homeless people in
• 29:44
Speaker 3: Portland quadrupled, went up four hundred percent. The death rate
• 29:52
Speaker 3: went up from one hundred and thirteen and twenty nineteen
• 29:56
Speaker 3: to more than four hundred and fifty in twenty twenty three.
• 30:02
Speaker 3: So when liberals say we are going to focus on
• 30:06
Speaker 3: the homeless, if you're homeless, god help you, because at
• 30:11
Speaker 3: least in Portland, what that meant was the death rate quadrupled. Now,
• 30:16
Speaker 3: they also put in place, as you reference, an elaborate
• 30:20
  Speaker 3: point system.
• 30:22
Speaker 1: I mean, and this is not a joke, like it's
• 30:23
Speaker 1: literally and they even tell you like, hey, you can't
• 30:26
Speaker 1: get double points if you get points in one category
• 30:29
Speaker 1: compared to another category. So if you're pregnant under eighteen,
• 30:32
Speaker 1: that's bonus points, but only if you haven't already gotten
• 30:34
Speaker 1: points for being pregnant on another another piece of paper,
• 30:38
Speaker 1: for another point in system. It's just it's unbelievable how
• 30:41
Speaker 1: well organized it is.
• 30:43
Speaker 3: So look, and I'll say, actually pregnant makes some sense.
• 30:47
Speaker 3: Prioritizing pregnant women that that has a reasonable basis you
• 30:51
Speaker 3: are more vulnerable. But English is a second language that
• 30:55
Speaker 3: was worth two points. Head of a house sold under
• 31:00
Speaker 3: eighteen that was worth two points. Interest in LGBTQ services
• 31:05
Speaker 3: that was worth one point.
• 31:08
  Speaker 2: Just interest.
• 31:09
Speaker 1: So it just makes you say, I think I've thought
• 31:12
Speaker 1: about being gay or transittered or lesbian, and then you
• 31:15
Speaker 1: get one bonus point.
• 31:17
Speaker 3: So total disabilities impacting entire household ability to secure housing.
• 31:22
Speaker 3: I don't even know what that means, but it's worth
• 31:24
  Speaker 3: three points.
• 31:25
Speaker 2: Yeah, there you go.
• 31:27
Speaker 3: Interest in culturally specific services that's two points.
• 31:32
Speaker 1: Again, I don't know by the way I mean comparing that,
• 31:35
Speaker 1: Just so you understand how woke this is. If you
• 31:38
Speaker 1: are over the age of fifty five fifty five plus,
• 31:41
Speaker 1: which is a higher vulnerable category, I think we can
• 31:43
Speaker 1: all agree on that. For homelessness you get two points.
• 31:46
Speaker 1: For that, you get the same number of points. If
• 31:49
Speaker 1: you're interested in culturally specific services. You can just catch
• 31:53
Speaker 1: up to somebody that's fifty five, sixty, seventy eight, eighty five,
• 31:57
  Speaker 1: ninety years old.
• 31:58
Speaker 3: Yeah, and all so worth two points. Is being a
• 32:03
Speaker 3: domestic violence survivor? Now, now that actually is rational and
• 32:07
Speaker 3: makes sense that you would prioritize domestic violence survivors. But
• 32:10
Speaker 3: in the Portland world, interest in a culturally specific service
• 32:16
Speaker 3: is equally prioritized to being a domestic violence server survivor. Now,
• 32:22
Speaker 3: how about this, what do you think being poor is
• 32:27
Speaker 3: like having let's say something crazy zero income, Like, if
• 32:33
Speaker 3: you're trying to help homeless people having zero income, you.
• 32:36
Speaker 1: Would think that would be one of the top scoring
• 32:39
Speaker 1: things on a sheet because that would get you, obviously
• 32:42
Speaker 1: to be homeless. So you would think like that would
• 32:44
Speaker 1: be worth something, right, guess one point? It's not one
• 32:47
Speaker 1: point one point one point, And if you're homeless for
• 32:50
Speaker 1: a year or more you only get one point. But
• 32:52
Speaker 1: if you are currently homeless, this is what's weird. Currently
• 32:56
Speaker 1: homeless gets you two points. Wouldn't that all so mean?
• 33:00
Speaker 1: You get one point for being homeless for like twelve
• 33:03
Speaker 1: months or more or no income.
• 33:04
  Speaker 2: I don't know. I'd like this is DEI on a
• 33:08
Speaker 2: whole nother level of stupid.
• 33:10
Speaker 3: Look here's what they said they've done so Maltnoma County, Oregon,
• 33:16
Speaker 3: which is home of deep blue Portland, where deaths of
• 33:19
Speaker 3: homeless people quadrupled between twenty nineteen and twenty twenty three.
• 33:23
Speaker 3: The county screening tool for housing services is designed. And
• 33:26
Speaker 3: this is a quote from the county to quote prioritize
• 33:31
Speaker 3: bipoc households, LGBTQIA two s plus yep, and people with disabilities. Yes,
• 33:42
Speaker 3: again this is not they're spending two hundred grand per
• 33:48
Speaker 3: homeless person. With two hundred.
• 33:50
Speaker 2: Grand, you can buy somebody a house.
• 33:52
Speaker 3: You could buy someone a house, but you can pay
• 33:55
Speaker 3: it would make too much sense. You could pay rent
• 33:58
Speaker 3: for a long time. You could get someone a hotel room,
• 34:00
Speaker 3: you could feed them, you could get the medical care.
• 34:03
Speaker 3: And yet the death rate quadruple because they were more
• 34:06
Speaker 3: interested in lgbt Q element o p like like the
• 34:10
Speaker 3: number of letters there. I can't even It reminds me
• 34:12
Speaker 3: of that crazy Canadian who got up and gave this
• 34:15
Speaker 3: incredibly long stream that I'm pretty sure was her WiFi password.
• 34:21
Speaker 3: But they're more interested in their woke policies than they
• 34:25
Speaker 3: are actually in helping someone who needs help.
• 34:28
Speaker 2: And and and that's.
• 34:29
Speaker 1: True to mention two hundred thousand a person. Just to
• 34:32
Speaker 1: put it in perspective, with everything we know, you got
• 34:34
Speaker 1: to ask yourself the question how much frauds involved here?
• 34:37
  Speaker 3: Massive? Massive?
• 34:38
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's hard to spend that much money. Two hundred thousand.
• 34:41
Speaker 1: It's gonna be interesting to watch see.
• 34:43
  Speaker 3: Somebody's driving a Ferrari, somebody's driving a Lamborghini.
• 34:46
Speaker 1: Yeah, there's yeah, you're you're absolutely right about that one.
