Okay Utah, Yeah, which was kind of a sad episode, especially for

all of these kids. So we have the four like elder kids. We

have Leon, we have Madison, we have Logan, and we have Hunter,

all on spurring break and they're taking a road trip up to Utah.

They're gonna be staying with family and stuff, and they're gonna visit their old

friends and their old stomping grounds, and they're gonna go visit their childhood home.

And it's pretty sweet. I felt really sad for them because I mean

going back to like where you're from and where you spent your whole life.

I mean that's devastating, yes, especially when your current life in Las Vegas

is not what you want, which it sounds like the kids, especially the

older kids, really don't like Lassgas. Oh yeah, they're all freaking depressed

and you can see it on their faces, and even even Leon who's like

trying to produce themselves on TV in this moment. It's kind of interesting how

young they are and they're like so involved in polygamy and sister wives and all

this stuff, but they're trying to put on a front like, yeah,

no, we were sad and we moved to Vegas, but now it's fine.

It sucks still. And for as much as all four of those kids are

talking about going back to Utah once they graduate, I don't think any of

them actually did. I mean, didn't Hunter go to the Air Force Academy.

Leon I think ended up in Chicago, and then Maddie ended up getting groomed.

So that never happened for any of the kids. But you can really

get this sense of how much they are not happy in Vegas and just want

to return to something that feels better for them. Yet and it just knowing

what we know now, it's just really shitty. Like I understand at the

time they were scared of being investigated by the Utah, yes, and they

were running from the law. Are they I don't know. I don't trust

it, but like, it just sucks that you uprooted your kids in such

a terrible traumatic way, scared them three days notice, scared them thinking that

their dad was going to get arrested and that's why you had to go to

Vegas, and then never going back to that single family unit. Like in

the house, everybody has their own spaces. Cody can spread his time evenly

or pretend like he's spreading his time evenly, and everybody was happy. So

it's just it's sad for these older kids who were teenagers and they had to

completely change everything. Yes, I mean I agree, I thought it was

really melancholic. And I also thought it was very interesting when the adults were

on the couch and Cody was talking about the house in Lehigh and he was

saying that he was actually the happiest in his relationships in that house because he

did have access to all of his kids and there was kind of room to

grow. But I'm like, then, why didn't you stay? Well,

the reason you didn't stay is because Robin has family in Las Vegas, yep.

And I think it was Robin that wanted to move to Las Vegas,

and so you created this storyline. You got everybody to Vegas, and then

when Robin wanted to move to flag Staff because Dayton was going to go to

college there, then we created this new storyline that you guys could all move

to flag Staff. I think Robin is the impetus. She never had the

desire to integrate into this family in the way that they were used to functioning,

and that is what the kids are mourning, yep. And also,

kids aren't stupid, No, especially these older kids. They're seeing what's happening

to the culture of their entire family and how their father is just probably not

coming around as much as he used to. And that's why they're sad too.

It's not just because of geography, it's because the entire culture of the

family, the vibe of the family, and the love in the family has

shifted. Well, then you have Mary making excuses for Cody on the couch

and being like, Yeah, it was lie easier for Cody when we all

have one house because he could just pop on over, open a door and

he'd be in another house and it'd be fine, and he could see everybody

whenever he wanted to. But now he's stretched so thin and it's really stressful

for him to have to travel between all of these houses. And it's like,

house. He's not coming to Christine's house. He's coming over to Janelle's because

she's got the money. And then he's coming over to Robins because she got

the bonany. So that's what he's doing. And if he wanted to,

he would, he would go over to their houses and actually enjoy his time

with all of them and understand that this is his responsibility as the polygamous patriarch.
