- 0:07Dr. Elliot Justin: If your nocturnal erections go down by 50%,
- 0:10Dr. Elliot Justin: you've got a 50% chance of having a heart attack
- 0:12Dr. Elliot Justin: the next two years.

- 0:50Speaker 3: Yes, this is Raymond Ayer at New York Times top ten bestselling author.
- 0:54Speaker 3: Man, am I gonna re-spark your life today.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Why?
- 1:00Speaker 3: 'Cause I have with me a medical doctor
- 1:04Speaker 3: whose work has been featured on New York Times,
- 1:09Speaker 3: CNN, Forbes, and many other top scale magazines
- 1:14Speaker 3: and other features because of the unusual work
- 1:17Speaker 3: that he's doing.
- 1:18Speaker 3: He's an emergency room doctor,
- 1:21Speaker 3: But that's not why he gets so much attention.
- 1:25Speaker 3: It's because he's the founder of Firm Tech,
- 1:28Speaker 3: the first sex tech company
- 1:32Speaker 3: dedicated to improving men's erectile fitness.
- 1:38Speaker 3: And something about wearables
- 1:40Speaker 3: and something about cardiac health and sexual health.
- 1:45Speaker 3: When I read his resume, I said,
- 1:47Speaker 3: Man, I don't exactly know what he's going to talk about, but this seems fascinating.
- 1:54Dr. Elliot Justin: So, Dr. Elliot Justin, are you here? I'm here and I'm ready.
- 2:02Speaker 3: You're here and you're ready. That's very good. So tell me, what the heck is this? How do you
- 2:08Dr. Elliot Justin: combine wearables and sex and cardiac health? Sure. We live in this incredible age of
- 2:16Dr. Elliot Justin: smart wearables, smart watches, smart rings,
- 2:19Dr. Elliot Justin: Uber, Apple Watch, but there's a gap in that gap of sex.
- 2:28Dr. Elliot Justin: And this is a sex of primary concern to everyone,
- 2:31Dr. Elliot Justin: and it involves, obviously, the psychosocial health
- 2:35Dr. Elliot Justin: significantly, but also is a reflection of cardiovascular health in ways that I
- 2:38Dr. Elliot Justin: didn't understand a few years ago until a urologist challenged me to come
- 2:43Dr. Elliot Justin: up with a way of counting the number of nocturnal erections
- 2:45Dr. Elliot Justin: that men have because they are a leading indicator of a man's cardiovascular health.
- 2:50Dr. Elliot Justin: And that took me aback. We all know about morning wood, we joke about it.
- 2:55Dr. Elliot Justin: None of us want dead wood. But we all, what I didn't understand that a healthy man,
- 2:59Dr. Elliot Justin: I'm 70 years old, even a man my age should have about three nocturnal erections per night.
- 3:04Dr. Elliot Justin: So one is not enough. So in medicine, we say the indicator, that means it's predictive.
- 3:11Dr. Elliot Justin: In medicine, we treat associations.
- 3:14Dr. Elliot Justin: High blood pressure is associated with heart attack and stroke.
- 3:17Dr. Elliot Justin: Elevated blood sugar is associated
- 3:19Dr. Elliot Justin: with diabetic complications.
- 3:21Dr. Elliot Justin: But it's not predictive.
- 3:22Dr. Elliot Justin: I mean, it's not as if your blood pressure goes from, say,
- 3:24Dr. Elliot Justin: 130 to 150.
- 3:25Dr. Elliot Justin: They usually have a heart attack at a certain period of time.
- 3:28Dr. Elliot Justin: But if your nocturnal reactions go down by 50%,
- 3:32Dr. Elliot Justin: you've got a 50% chance of having a heart attack
- 3:34Dr. Elliot Justin: the next two years.
- 3:35Speaker 3: Wow.
- 3:36Dr. Elliot Justin: When this urologist told me that, I was taken aback
- 3:38Dr. Elliot Justin: because I had no idea.
- 3:40Dr. Elliot Justin: So, as long as a man averages, like myself,
- 3:44Dr. Elliot Justin: three plus nautral reactions per night,
- 3:46Dr. Elliot Justin: and that goes to one plus, I'm at risk.
- 3:50Dr. Elliot Justin: So, ideally in healthcare, when we do a lot,
- 3:53Dr. Elliot Justin: especially for better care, we want to identify problems
- 3:56Dr. Elliot Justin: when they're subclinical before they become something
- 3:59Dr. Elliot Justin: that might be too late to treat.
- 4:01Dr. Elliot Justin: So, utilizing our technology,
- 4:04Dr. Elliot Justin: I know of at least two men who've had cardiac catheterizations
- 4:07Dr. Elliot Justin: as a result of their data deteriorating.
- 4:10Dr. Elliot Justin: So just to go back, though, this doctor,
- 4:15Dr. Elliot Justin: professor of the University of Utah, Dr. O'Talling,
- 4:17Dr. Elliot Justin: told me that the penis is the canary in the coal mine
- 4:20Dr. Elliot Justin: in cardiovascular disease.
- 4:22Dr. Elliot Justin: Now, I'd never heard that before, and I'm an old doctor.
- 4:24Dr. Elliot Justin: I'm 70.
- 4:25Dr. Elliot Justin: When he told me that, I was like 69.
- 4:27Dr. Elliot Justin: Now I'm 72.
- 4:29Dr. Elliot Justin: And I don't think that's--
- 4:31Dr. Elliot Justin: that is not common knowledge.
- 4:32Dr. Elliot Justin: So in terms of vital signs, what is more interesting to men?
- 4:38Dr. Elliot Justin: How many steps they took yesterday,
- 4:39Dr. Elliot Justin: or their blood pressure, or their sexual health?
- 4:43Dr. Elliot Justin: I mean, the answer of course is obvious.
- 4:44Dr. Elliot Justin: Men are more interested in their sexual health
- 4:46Dr. Elliot Justin: pretty much than anything, even older men like me.
- 4:51Dr. Elliot Justin: So my thought when it came to this idea was,
- 4:54Dr. Elliot Justin: well, let's embed sensors into what people call cock rings.
- 5:00Dr. Elliot Justin: I'd rather call them erection rings,
- 5:02Dr. Elliot Justin: This cock ring kind of puts in the context of,
- 5:04Dr. Elliot Justin: well, this is like a sex toy novelty.
- 5:06Dr. Elliot Justin: What they really are are erection rings,
- 5:09Dr. Elliot Justin: something to help sustain erections.
- 5:11Dr. Elliot Justin: So when I'm getting the sensors into them,
- 5:13Dr. Elliot Justin: coming up with material, like in one overnight,
- 5:16Dr. Elliot Justin: we can then count the number of nocturnal erections,
- 5:18Dr. Elliot Justin: measure how hard they are, measure the duration.
- 5:22Dr. Elliot Justin: And with that information,
- 5:23Dr. Elliot Justin: tell men about the cardiovascular risk,
- 5:26Dr. Elliot Justin: but also about many of the medications that men take
- 5:28Dr. Elliot Justin: that have a negative effect on their sexual performance,
- 5:31Dr. Elliot Justin: specifically the antihypertensives and the antidepressants.
- 5:35Dr. Elliot Justin: We doctors fail to recognize the importance
- 5:40Dr. Elliot Justin: of sexual health for people.
- 5:42Dr. Elliot Justin: So we prescribe medications that can affect people's
- 5:45Dr. Elliot Justin: sexual health without even warning about it,
- 5:47Dr. Elliot Justin: even when there's substitutes that are available.
- 5:51Dr. Elliot Justin: So in order to come up with an erection ring
- 5:53Dr. Elliot Justin: that could be worn overnight,
- 5:55Dr. Elliot Justin: we had to reinvent the cock ring.
- 5:58Dr. Elliot Justin: So these cock rings, erection rings,
- 6:00Dr. Elliot Justin: that people familiar with from sex toy stores
- 6:02Dr. Elliot Justin: are hard silicone rings that pinch,
- 6:05Dr. Elliot Justin: they're uncomfortable, they choke off the circulation,
- 6:08Dr. Elliot Justin: and they can't be worn for more than 20 or 30 minutes
- 6:12Dr. Elliot Justin: 'cause they're not safe, especially not safe for men
- 6:14Dr. Elliot Justin: with diabetes or hypertension,
- 6:16Dr. Elliot Justin: might have compromised circulation.
- 6:18Dr. Elliot Justin: And they've never caught on in the straight community.
- 6:23Dr. Elliot Justin: So our erection rings are made out of soft elastomer.
- 6:27Dr. Elliot Justin: stretches, it's comfortable,
- 6:29Dr. Elliot Justin: doesn't block the arterial flow of blood into the penis
- 6:31Dr. Elliot Justin: 'cause we want to cap nocturnal erections
- 6:33Dr. Elliot Justin: so if you choked them off, you wouldn't see them.
- 6:35Dr. Elliot Justin: It only slightly constrains the venous turn.
- 6:37Dr. Elliot Justin: So we are now able to have a ring
- 6:40Dr. Elliot Justin: that could be worn for hours.
- 6:43Dr. Elliot Justin: And with that, we get this information
- 6:45Dr. Elliot Justin: that there are now seven published papers about ring.
- 6:48Dr. Elliot Justin: And there are studies, research studies going on
- 6:50Dr. Elliot Justin: with academic centers around the world
- 6:52Dr. Elliot Justin: correlating the nocturnal erection data
- 6:55Dr. Elliot Justin: with other comments like CT calcium score,
- 6:59Dr. Elliot Justin: which is used for screening for cardiovascular disease
- 7:01Dr. Elliot Justin: and other tests.
- 7:02Dr. Elliot Justin: So with this data--
- 7:04Speaker 3: - Okay, so I'm 80 years old.
- 7:07Speaker 3: I gotta say that I'm waning in my ability.
- 7:10Speaker 3: I can't do what I used to do when I was 20.
- 7:13Speaker 3: And so I should wear this ring.
- 7:16Speaker 3: And how does it tell me how many erections I had overnight?
- 7:20Speaker 3: Like, how do I get the information?
- 7:22Speaker 3: Does it Bluetooth to my cell phone or something?
- 7:25Dr. Elliot Justin: - Well, Raymond, you don't look at data with 75.
- 7:28Dr. Elliot Justin: (Raymond laughs)
- 7:30Dr. Elliot Justin: So yeah, we're in the Google and Apple stores.
- 7:33Dr. Elliot Justin: It's a Bluetooth enabled app.
- 7:35Dr. Elliot Justin: There are two sensors embedded in the ring.
- 7:37Dr. Elliot Justin: As the penis expands and girth with an erection,
- 7:42Dr. Elliot Justin: it presses on one sensor and pulls on another sensor.
- 7:45Dr. Elliot Justin: And then the computer interprets that
- 7:47Dr. Elliot Justin: into a one to 10 hardness score.
- 7:51Dr. Elliot Justin: And we've documented 85,000 erections.
- 7:56Dr. Elliot Justin: So in men over the age, in men, the 75 to 85 category,
- 8:01Dr. Elliot Justin: you'd be comparing your data to several hundred other men
- 8:04Dr. Elliot Justin: in that category, and you'd be able to say,
- 8:05Dr. Elliot Justin: am I above average, below average?
- 8:07Dr. Elliot Justin: And you would receive notifications.
- 8:09Dr. Elliot Justin: It could be, hey, Raymond, you made this change
- 8:14Dr. Elliot Justin: in your medication, you're doing much better.
- 8:16Dr. Elliot Justin: Or it could be, hey, Raymond, or Elliot,
- 8:18Dr. Elliot Justin: Hey, Elliot, you used to average 3.2 nocturnal erections,
- 8:22Dr. Elliot Justin: and now you're at 1.5.
- 8:23Dr. Elliot Justin: You need to see a doctor because your data is showing
- 8:27Dr. Elliot Justin: significant cardiovascular risk.
- 8:30Speaker 3: - Wow.
- 8:31Speaker 3: So it tells me how many erections,
- 8:35Speaker 3: which is predictive of a heart attack,
- 8:38Speaker 3: and then I have to go to a doctor to figure out what to do.
- 8:41Dr. Elliot Justin: - Or you could do nothing, just put up with it.
- 8:43Dr. Elliot Justin: But we would recommend, the app would recommend,
- 8:48Dr. Elliot Justin: that you see a doctor for any significant deviations.
- 8:53Dr. Elliot Justin: Of course, ideally, Raymond, the app tells you,
- 8:56Dr. Elliot Justin: Raymond, you were averaging two nocturnal erections
- 8:59Dr. Elliot Justin: and now that you stopped smoking,
- 9:01Dr. Elliot Justin: now that you started exercising,
- 9:02Dr. Elliot Justin: now that you are complying with your diabetes regimen,
- 9:07Dr. Elliot Justin: you've actually improved.
- 9:08Dr. Elliot Justin: You've gone from 2 to 2.6 or whatever.
- 9:10Dr. Elliot Justin: So, and all those communications can go to you
- 9:12Dr. Elliot Justin: and/or go to your doctor,
- 9:14Dr. Elliot Justin: you know, as a manager of healthcare.
- 9:15Dr. Elliot Justin: So in the rest of medicine, we rely upon data.
- 9:18Dr. Elliot Justin: This is the 21st century.
- 9:20Dr. Elliot Justin: We don't treat blood pressure without a blood pressure cuff.
- 9:24Dr. Elliot Justin: We don't treat cardiac arrhythmias
- 9:26Dr. Elliot Justin: without electrocardiogram and other tests.
- 9:29Dr. Elliot Justin: We don't treat lipoprotein disorders
- 9:31Dr. Elliot Justin: without getting a lipoprotein level
- 9:33Dr. Elliot Justin: or anemia without getting a blood test.
- 9:35Dr. Elliot Justin: But in urology, in the area of sexual health,
- 9:38Dr. Elliot Justin: men are being treated without data
- 9:40Dr. Elliot Justin: and on the basis of just conjecture
- 9:42Dr. Elliot Justin: and subjective scoring systems.
- 9:44Dr. Elliot Justin: So this device takes urology and sexology for men
- 9:48Dr. Elliot Justin: into the 21st century of care that is objective,
- 9:52Dr. Elliot Justin: actionable, but most important, personal.
- 9:54Dr. Elliot Justin: There's no dumb mistakes that we doctors make.
- 9:56Dr. Elliot Justin: So we treat everyone as if they're one size fits all.
- 9:59Dr. Elliot Justin: Everyone has high blood pressure,
- 10:02Dr. Elliot Justin: whether the male, female, young, old,
- 10:03Dr. Elliot Justin: gets put on the same pill.
- 10:05Dr. Elliot Justin: That's stupid because we really want to treat people
- 10:10Dr. Elliot Justin: recognizing that they are individuals.
- 10:12Dr. Elliot Justin: So there are, so for example, in the area of sexual health,
- 10:16Dr. Elliot Justin: there are men who, I mean, you and I are in the same age
- 10:18Dr. Elliot Justin: category, we're pretty much,
- 10:22Dr. Elliot Justin: if we started testosterone placement therapy
- 10:24Dr. Elliot Justin: and wanted to use a device to monitor
- 10:26Dr. Elliot Justin: the impact of testosterone on our sexual health,
- 10:30Dr. Elliot Justin: you might start on the same dose,
- 10:32Dr. Elliot Justin: but we might respond differently.
- 10:34Dr. Elliot Justin: So that with the device, you can now see objectively,
- 10:38Dr. Elliot Justin: what is the right dose for me for therapy?
- 10:47Dr. Elliot Justin: We've discovered something else.
- 10:49Dr. Elliot Justin: I mean, this is really the big discovery.
- 10:51Dr. Elliot Justin: And it's looking back, it's really obvious,
- 10:55Dr. Elliot Justin: as often things are in medicine.
- 10:56Dr. Elliot Justin: You look back and think, why didn't we think of that?
- 10:59Dr. Elliot Justin: So one of the mistakes that doctors make,
- 11:01Dr. Elliot Justin: I guess it floats a lot upon doctors' mistakes today.
- 11:03Dr. Elliot Justin: One of the mistakes that doctors make is the academic doctors
- 11:08Dr. Elliot Justin: set the standards in healthcare.
- 11:10Dr. Elliot Justin: They see the sickest people in the clinical practices.
- 11:14Dr. Elliot Justin: So they are seeing, the urologists in particular,
- 11:16Dr. Elliot Justin: are seeing the men who struggle to attain an erection
- 11:20Dr. Elliot Justin: or can't attain an erection.
- 11:23Dr. Elliot Justin: And these men, in general, have significant cardiovascular
- 11:26Dr. Elliot Justin: problems.
- 11:26Dr. Elliot Justin: The pump, the heart's not getting enough blood
- 11:28Dr. Elliot Justin: into the penis, or the pipes that come out of the heart,
- 11:30Dr. Elliot Justin: the arteries are narrowed from atherosclerosis, hypertension,
- 11:34Dr. Elliot Justin: diabetes, not getting enough blood into the penis.
- 11:36Dr. Elliot Justin: And for these men, the treatment are the popular Viagra
- 11:40Dr. Elliot Justin: P5 medications because they open up the diarrhea,
- 11:43Dr. Elliot Justin: the arteries, they put more blood in the anus.
- 11:46Dr. Elliot Justin: But that's only about 10% to 12% of men.
- 11:49Dr. Elliot Justin: Those men are really dysfunctional.
- 11:52Dr. Elliot Justin: And in a moment, I'll get to men close to our age
- 11:55Dr. Elliot Justin: and their specific issues,
- 11:55Dr. Elliot Justin: but this is talking in general right now.
- 11:58Dr. Elliot Justin: Most men though, 85% of men who supposedly have ED,
- 12:03Dr. Elliot Justin: they get erections and they lose it.
- 12:06Dr. Elliot Justin: So their problem is different.
- 12:08Dr. Elliot Justin: Men who struggle to obtain an erection
- 12:09Dr. Elliot Justin: aren't getting enough blood in.
- 12:10Dr. Elliot Justin: But the men who get erections,
- 12:12Dr. Elliot Justin: they're getting enough blood in.
- 12:13Dr. Elliot Justin: They might have diabetes or hypertension,
- 12:14Dr. Elliot Justin: but they're still getting enough blood in their penis
- 12:16Dr. Elliot Justin: to get an erection.
- 12:18Dr. Elliot Justin: And then they lose the erection.
- 12:19Dr. Elliot Justin: It could be for a whole variety of reasons.
- 12:21Dr. Elliot Justin: One is, it could be psychosocial issues.
- 12:24Dr. Elliot Justin: You're not getting along with your partner.
- 12:26Dr. Elliot Justin: You're worried about paying the mortgage.
- 12:28Dr. Elliot Justin: Alcohol plays a role, obviously.
- 12:30Dr. Elliot Justin: So do recreational drugs, many people.
- 12:32Dr. Elliot Justin: And the medication side of it.
- 12:33Dr. Elliot Justin: Medications, the beta-hypertensives
- 12:36Dr. Elliot Justin: and the antidepressants that can also interfere
- 12:38Dr. Elliot Justin: with the ability to sustain erections.
- 12:41Dr. Elliot Justin: But there's, every erection ends
- 12:44Dr. Elliot Justin: with blood leaving the penis.
- 12:46Dr. Elliot Justin: So if you get an erection and your issue is
- 12:48Dr. Elliot Justin: that that erection's then, so to speak, fade,
- 12:51Dr. Elliot Justin: due to a venous leak, the answer is to put a ring on it.
- 12:54Dr. Elliot Justin: And I don't understand this,
- 12:55Dr. Elliot Justin: and the doctors don't understand this.
- 12:56Dr. Elliot Justin: So for the doctors, the first line treatment,
- 12:58Dr. Elliot Justin: because they're thinking about the men
- 12:59Dr. Elliot Justin: who can't struggle to attain an erection,
- 13:01Dr. Elliot Justin: is to get more blood into the penis, take a pill.
- 13:05Dr. Elliot Justin: But these men are already getting erections.
- 13:08Dr. Elliot Justin: So the answer for them is an erection ring.
- 13:12Dr. Elliot Justin: And the doctors are not thinking about erection rings
- 13:14Dr. Elliot Justin: for a variety of reasons.
- 13:15Dr. Elliot Justin: One, they've kind of got this bad notice
- 13:17Dr. Elliot Justin: because once they're currently made,
- 13:19Dr. Elliot Justin: pinch needs to be taken off at 20, 30 minutes.
- 13:23Dr. Elliot Justin: And because they're associated in our culture
- 13:25Dr. Elliot Justin: with the gay men or with fetish sex.
- 13:30Dr. Elliot Justin: So one of the issues that,
- 13:31Dr. Elliot Justin: one of the obstacles here is actually getting the doctors
- 13:33Dr. Elliot Justin: to change and think, hey, wait, before there's a pill or with a pill, there is now a non-pharmacological
- 13:39Dr. Elliot Justin: mechanical plumbing solution, if you will, to a leaky penis.
- 13:43Dr. Elliot Justin: The penis is leaking blood, which we still put, go into the gasket or an erection ring.
- 13:48Dr. Elliot Justin: So here's the difference between gay doctors and straight doctors, wait a minute.
- 13:51Dr. Elliot Justin: And we joke about this when we go to like the American Urology Association convention
- 13:54Dr. Elliot Justin: shows or the "Gospel Life in Sexual Medicine."
- 13:57Dr. Elliot Justin: I didn't tell the difference between a gay doctor and a straight doctor with one question.
- 14:01Dr. Elliot Justin: Or gay man or straight man.
- 14:04Dr. Elliot Justin: Do you use an erection ring?
- 14:06Dr. Elliot Justin: Gay doctor, "Oh yeah, last night, got a better one."
- 14:09Dr. Elliot Justin: Straight doctor, "Oh, I don't need that."
- 14:12Dr. Elliot Justin: They go right to the male private, "I don't need that."
- 14:15Dr. Elliot Justin: Well, what the data is clearly showing
- 14:18Dr. Elliot Justin: is that it's not about me.
- 14:19Dr. Elliot Justin: If you as a man, any man, wants to be more confident,
- 14:23Dr. Elliot Justin: stay harder longer, have more intense orgasm,
- 14:28Dr. Elliot Justin: an erection ring is a solution for most men.
- 14:31Dr. Elliot Justin: and then get an erection and then lose it.
- 14:33Dr. Elliot Justin: And that is a mind shift for the way in which we doctors
- 14:36Dr. Elliot Justin: approach this problem and for people, people in the public.
- 14:40Dr. Elliot Justin: So four years ago, if you had told me,
- 14:43Dr. Elliot Justin: you're gonna be recommending Cochrane's to people,
- 14:44Dr. Elliot Justin: I would have said, "Well, I don't, why would I do that?
- 14:46Dr. Elliot Justin: "I don't need that, they're uncomfortable."
- 14:48Dr. Elliot Justin: And now, I don't have sex with that one
- 14:51Dr. Elliot Justin: because I want the mechanical benefit of it
- 14:55Dr. Elliot Justin: and the pleasure benefit of it.
- 14:58Speaker 3: - Wow, I had no idea we'd be talking about all this.
- 15:04Dr. Elliot Justin: - Well, with all of us on the road,
- 15:07Dr. Elliot Justin: from what I call erectile fitness to rectal dysfunction.
- 15:13Dr. Elliot Justin: And I rather think about things positively for men.
- 15:16Dr. Elliot Justin: We are a fitness-focused culture.
- 15:18Dr. Elliot Justin: We no longer talk about women as being frigid,
- 15:23Dr. Elliot Justin: anorgasmic, hysteric, the way women were in the '70s
- 15:25Dr. Elliot Justin: and '80s, 'cause vibrators came along
- 15:27Dr. Elliot Justin: change the picture for women.
- 15:29Dr. Elliot Justin: And we should, you know, ED is something men don't want to talk about.
- 15:33Dr. Elliot Justin: It's kind of shameful.
- 15:34Dr. Elliot Justin: I mean, it's different.
- 15:34Dr. Elliot Justin: You know, and for most men, it's not about dysfunction.
- 15:39Dr. Elliot Justin: It's about having a problem, anus leak, that can be addressed with a simple,
- 15:44Dr. Elliot Justin: simply with mechanical solution and/or combination of pill.
- 15:47Speaker 3: - Now, isn't there an exercise solution?
- 15:51Speaker 3: Aren't there exercises that men can do that make them stronger there?
- 15:57Dr. Elliot Justin: >> That would be nice.
- 15:59Dr. Elliot Justin: Well, so you're talking about pelvic floor exercises.
- 16:02Dr. Elliot Justin: So it is important for a man to have one, or two exercises.
- 16:07Dr. Elliot Justin: One, you obviously want to be in relatively good cardiovascular shape
- 16:10Dr. Elliot Justin: because you don't want to get winded when you're having sex.
- 16:13Dr. Elliot Justin: And you also, in terms of the pelvic floor,
- 16:16Dr. Elliot Justin: especially for men who have had prostate surgery or urological surgery,
- 16:19Dr. Elliot Justin: the pelvic floor muscles can get weak or men are obese.
- 16:23Dr. Elliot Justin: So, strengthening the pelvic floor will give one stamina during sex.
- 16:29Dr. Elliot Justin: It will also improve the muscle tone of the muscles that are involved,
- 16:36Dr. Elliot Justin: the contractions we experience with orgasm, pubic fasciitis muscle, PCG muscle.
- 16:41Dr. Elliot Justin: But exercises are a skeletal muscle function.
- 16:46Dr. Elliot Justin: Those are the muscles that we can control, squeeze on our own.
- 16:51Dr. Elliot Justin: But orgasms and arousal and orgasms are largely a smooth muscle function.
- 16:58Dr. Elliot Justin: And you can't go to the gym and work out just smooth muscles.
- 17:00Dr. Elliot Justin: The only way to work out just smooth muscles is by having sex.
- 17:04Dr. Elliot Justin: So I'll draw an analogy to gastrointestinal system.
- 17:07Dr. Elliot Justin: Raymond, if you and I right now were to go on a fast because we're outraged by some political situation, whatever,
- 17:14Dr. Elliot Justin: and then a month from now we start eating regular food again,
- 17:18Dr. Elliot Justin: If we went to a three-star restaurant to celebrate, we would get sick because the smooth muscle
- 17:23Dr. Elliot Justin: around our esophagus has a sense of atrophy.
- 17:25Dr. Elliot Justin: The same thing happens to men, especially men as they get older, if they don't have
- 17:30Dr. Elliot Justin: orgasms.
- 17:31Dr. Elliot Justin: It is use it or lose it, especially for men up in our age bracket.
- 17:35Dr. Elliot Justin: A lot of men, a typical customer of ours is often a man in his 70s who is either widowed
- 17:44Dr. Elliot Justin: or divorced and then wants to resume relations in his 70s,
- 17:48Dr. Elliot Justin: but hasn't been exercising the smooth muscle
- 17:51Dr. Elliot Justin: and then struggles to get directions,
- 17:53Dr. Elliot Justin: not because it was hard,
- 17:55Dr. Elliot Justin: necessarily because it was hard, not working,
- 17:57Dr. Elliot Justin: but because he has not used those smooth muscles in a while.
- 18:00Dr. Elliot Justin: So we doctors should be recommending orgasms to men,
- 18:04Dr. Elliot Justin: especially men as they age.
- 18:07Speaker 3: - Wow, right in prescription.
- 18:13Dr. Elliot Justin: Give me your address and I'll send you one.
- 18:15Dr. Elliot Justin: So, and I was, you know, again, these things are,
- 18:18Dr. Elliot Justin: are new to me too.
- 18:19Dr. Elliot Justin: I mean, you know, these are discoveries.
- 18:21Dr. Elliot Justin: This is, you know, three or four years ago,
- 18:23Dr. Elliot Justin: I was really unaware of one, the value of rings.
- 18:27Dr. Elliot Justin: Two, obviously there was no data whatsoever.
- 18:30Dr. Elliot Justin: So, you know, Raymond, a man your age
- 18:32Dr. Elliot Justin: should want to know their data,
- 18:33Dr. Elliot Justin: not just for their sexual health,
- 18:35Dr. Elliot Justin: but for your cardiovascular health.
- 18:37Speaker 3: - Yes.
- 18:38Dr. Elliot Justin: - And we have, I think our oldest,
- 18:41Dr. Elliot Justin: oldest customer is 84 years old.
- 18:44Dr. Elliot Justin: And what he discovered was that,
- 18:48Dr. Elliot Justin: one, his heart data was good.
- 18:50Dr. Elliot Justin: He was having 2.7 nocturnal erections per night.
- 18:54Dr. Elliot Justin: And we'll get to the average numbers in a second.
- 18:57Dr. Elliot Justin: But he needed the ring.
- 18:59Dr. Elliot Justin: He would get erections,
- 19:00Dr. Elliot Justin: and he and his wife would try to have relations.
- 19:02Dr. Elliot Justin: His erections would fade.
- 19:03Dr. Elliot Justin: And the ring took that problem away.
- 19:05Dr. Elliot Justin: 'Cause the ring now keeps in part.
- 19:08Dr. Elliot Justin: Because as we get older,
- 19:09Dr. Elliot Justin: Our smooth muscle around our veins gets weak.
- 19:12Dr. Elliot Justin: And it's like-- so for example, Raymond, I don't know about you,
- 19:16Dr. Elliot Justin: but if I get on a plane for five or six hours,
- 19:19Dr. Elliot Justin: my ankles swell a little bit, my rings get a little bit tight
- 19:21Dr. Elliot Justin: because the smooth muscle around my veins
- 19:24Dr. Elliot Justin: isn't pumping blood back to my heart the way it used to.
- 19:26Dr. Elliot Justin: And the smooth muscle around the veins of the penis gets weak.
- 19:29Dr. Elliot Justin: It means that the blood leaves the penis faster.
- 19:32Dr. Elliot Justin: So here's what-- the doctors know
- 19:37Dr. Elliot Justin: that the incidence of rectal dysfunction goes up 10% per decade after age 45, 50.
- 19:42Dr. Elliot Justin: So at my age, it's 70%.
- 19:44Dr. Elliot Justin: By your age, it's 80%.
- 19:46Dr. Elliot Justin: It's trending to 80%.
- 19:49Dr. Elliot Justin: And we all, of course, we'd all like to be one of those guys who's not part of the trend,
- 19:54Dr. Elliot Justin: basically.
- 19:56Dr. Elliot Justin: So the doctors were thinking, again, that as that happened, the number of nocturnal
- 20:00Dr. Elliot Justin: erections would go down, and the hardness of sex erections would go down.
- 20:05Dr. Elliot Justin: not seeing that in this large data set until men are in the late 60s, early 70s.
- 20:10Dr. Elliot Justin: And even then, it doesn't go down enough that would interfere with, that the deterioration
- 20:18Dr. Elliot Justin: of sexual performance is due to either heart failure or arterial failure.
- 20:21Dr. Elliot Justin: Failure appears to be on the venous side of the circulation, and the answer is a ring.
- 20:26Speaker 3: When you say ring, there's two rings you're talking about.
- 20:29Speaker 3: One is the hard ring during sex that you wear for only a short period of time, and the other
- 20:35Speaker 3: is your invention, the soft ring, that you wear overnight to find out how many erections
- 20:40Speaker 3: you have overnight.
- 20:42Dr. Elliot Justin: >> Right, but the tech ring, the overnight ring, can also be used during sex.
- 20:45Dr. Elliot Justin: They can measure how hard you are, how long you last during sex.
- 20:49Dr. Elliot Justin: It doubles as both a diagnostic aid, but also as an erection ring to sustain erections.
- 20:56Dr. Elliot Justin: We make two other rings, the maximum performance ring and the performance ring.
- 21:00Dr. Elliot Justin: We make them without the technology and they're designed just to sustain erections.
- 21:07Dr. Elliot Justin: There are other products from other companies that work fairly well.
- 21:10Dr. Elliot Justin: I think that lasso rings are a less expensive alternative to our product.
- 21:18Dr. Elliot Justin: They're more comfortable, but they work.
- 21:24Dr. Elliot Justin: The tech ring could be worn for both purposes.
- 21:27Dr. Elliot Justin: Our TofSeller, which is a maximum performance ring, was specifically designed to intensify
- 21:32Dr. Elliot Justin: a man's orgasms.
- 21:33Dr. Elliot Justin: No other ring has been designed for that purpose.
- 21:35Dr. Elliot Justin: How do we do that?
- 21:39Dr. Elliot Justin: Women have vibrators and men have nothing.
- 21:43Dr. Elliot Justin: My thought was by putting the right amount of pressure over the urethra to prolong the
- 21:48Dr. Elliot Justin: ejaculatory phase, we can produce more intense orgasms for a man.
- 21:53Dr. Elliot Justin: With a maximum performance ring, my ejaculatory phase goes from four seconds to seven seconds.
- 21:57Dr. Elliot Justin: And that is an incredible orgasm.
- 21:58Dr. Elliot Justin: I feel, my wife jokes that it's like I'm 16 years old again.
- 22:03Dr. Elliot Justin: And she's, I'm noisy for the first time.
- 22:05Dr. Elliot Justin: She says she's glad the kids are out of the house.
- 22:08Dr. Elliot Justin: So I think men need to overcome
- 22:13Dr. Elliot Justin: the sort of resistance to erection rings.
- 22:18Dr. Elliot Justin: You and I are old enough to remember back in the 70s, 80s
- 22:22Dr. Elliot Justin: before Dr. Ruth came along,
- 22:24Dr. Elliot Justin: that vibrators were not that popular among women
- 22:28Dr. Elliot Justin: because there's concern about women
- 22:30Dr. Elliot Justin: being vibrator dependent.
- 22:32Dr. Elliot Justin: And now they're normal.
- 22:33Dr. Elliot Justin: Everyone has one.
- 22:34Dr. Elliot Justin: - Right.
- 22:35Dr. Elliot Justin: - And I just, and I think the male attitude
- 22:37Dr. Elliot Justin: towards erection rings is kind of similar.
- 22:39Dr. Elliot Justin: It's like similar.
- 22:40Dr. Elliot Justin: Well, I don't know.
- 22:41Dr. Elliot Justin: I've had guys actually tell me,
- 22:42Dr. Elliot Justin: well, now I'm dependent upon it.
- 22:43Dr. Elliot Justin: Well, you're not dependent upon it, really.
- 22:45Dr. Elliot Justin: You're performing better.
- 22:46Dr. Elliot Justin: You know, why would you want to, you know,
- 22:49Dr. Elliot Justin: it's like saying I'm dependent upon my running shoes.
- 22:51Dr. Elliot Justin: When I go outside to run,
- 22:52Dr. Elliot Justin: I don't want, I should be running barefoot, right?
- 22:54Dr. Elliot Justin: Should we do it in naturals, like my ancestors?
- 22:57Dr. Elliot Justin: So I, the take, again, the takeaway,
- 23:01Dr. Elliot Justin: what the data is showing is that if a man wants to,
- 23:04Dr. Elliot Justin: and including men our age, men our age category,
- 23:07Dr. Elliot Justin: if you want to be more confident,
- 23:10Dr. Elliot Justin: rock harder, last longer, put a ring on it.
- 23:14Speaker 3: - Put a ring on it, great ending.
- 23:16Speaker 3: So please tell me, how can I,
