- 0:01Speaker 1: Hold up, Hold up Alert, Barla Nation, Welcome to another
- 0:05Speaker 1: episode of the Ball Alert Show. I am Ota A
- 0:09Speaker 1: K A O. C. C. Simmons and I'm your favorite
- 0:13Speaker 1: Ethiopian suit. So low a little, a little hold live
- 0:21Speaker 1: will take it. Welcome back to the Ball Alert Show.
- 0:24Speaker 1: We appreciate you guys tuning in, and I think, um,
- 0:28Speaker 1: we probably should just get right into it. Huh, unless
- 0:30Speaker 1: you charge. You got to discuss the charges. Come on,
- 0:32Speaker 1: break it down, sous all right, So I guess we're
- 0:38Speaker 1: just gonna go ahead and get into it, Y'ALLU. District
- 0:41Speaker 1: Attorney Paul Howard of Atlanta, Georgia said that he is
- 0:45Speaker 1: charging the former officer Garrett Ralf who actually shot Ray
- 0:49Speaker 1: Shard Brooks in the back in the Wendy's parking lot,
- 0:53Speaker 1: with eleven counts. One of them is felony murder. I
- 0:57Speaker 1: know that aggravated assault is on their chrim, no damage
- 1:00Speaker 1: to property, and violations to his oath of office. You guys,
- 1:05Speaker 1: this is pretty major. Yeah, like, I like it a lot. Um,
- 1:10Speaker 1: It's an unfortunate circumstance, but I think, uh, these officers
- 1:14Speaker 1: will think twice before they decided to try to kill, um,
- 1:19Speaker 1: someone who could be innocent or guilty killing them. It's
- 1:24Speaker 1: not the issue. I mean is the issue. Um, it's
- 1:29Speaker 1: the force to definitely using these these deadly forced tactics.
- 1:32Speaker 1: And I think it's all about their training too, Yes,
- 1:35Speaker 1: for sure. And it's just like the message that um
- 1:39Speaker 1: Jamika Mallory posted on her page. She's she had on there.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Just like the police escorted the guy who killed all
- 1:48Speaker 1: those people in that church to Burger King, they could
- 1:51Speaker 1: have escorted that young man home, ray Searn Brooks home. Yeah,
- 1:55Speaker 1: And that's why for me, it is difficult to sit
- 1:59Speaker 1: here and say, you know, it's training. They need to
- 2:02Speaker 1: be trained. We've seen countless times when they encounter white
- 2:05Speaker 1: criminals that they know how to take people in without
- 2:09Speaker 1: killing them. We have seen them show restraint over and
- 2:12Speaker 1: over again. So I think what it is is, you know,
- 2:15Speaker 1: police officers are able to sometimes use you know, like disrepency,
- 2:19Speaker 1: like if if they see something, they can kind of
- 2:22Speaker 1: gauge it out and see how they want to handle it.
- 2:24Speaker 1: The thing is, black folks don't get the same opportunity
- 2:28Speaker 1: as white folks when they getting pulled over. I mean
- 2:30Speaker 1: we're seeing celebrities and just you know, regular white folks
- 2:33Speaker 1: on social media, tweeting about what their encounters were like
- 2:38Speaker 1: when they got pulled over for being drunk. You know,
- 2:41Speaker 1: even if they were miners or people who you know,
- 2:44Speaker 1: all these other white people that had committed crimes that
- 2:47Speaker 1: just gotta slap on the wrist. And then when you
- 2:49Speaker 1: compare them to what a black person's experience is, it's
- 2:52Speaker 1: completely different. So, you know what, It's not the training,
- 2:56Speaker 1: it's the fact that they are intimidated by black people.
- 2:59Speaker 1: And that is what the basis of racial injustice is
- 3:04Speaker 1: when it comes to systematic racism in America. They are
- 3:08Speaker 1: afraid of black people. There's something about us that intimidates them.
- 3:11Speaker 1: There is something about them that has the need for power.
- 3:15Speaker 1: And I don't know what's gonna happen. Like you guys
- 3:19Speaker 1: are obviously losing your power and they're showing out because
- 3:22Speaker 1: they see that the world is changing. But I don't
- 3:25Speaker 1: really know. If these charges don't stick, now, it's it's
- 3:29Speaker 1: gonna be a problem, no, because if they don't, it's
- 3:32Speaker 1: gonna be another It's gonna be a lot going on
- 3:35Speaker 1: out here in Atlanta. Go ahead, now, it's gonna piggyback
- 3:40Speaker 1: off that for sure, because they posted up at their
- 3:42Speaker 1: Wendy's every day for hours and they wait in you know,
- 3:45Speaker 1: everybody's waiting. But I will say the reason I said
- 3:48Speaker 1: training sewers because I think, um, they need to be
- 3:53Speaker 1: taught that we are just like our Caucasian counterparts. We
- 3:58Speaker 1: are not I'm threatening, and we just have a different background.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Of course, I think that they are fearful of us
- 4:06Speaker 1: because we are naturally a little bit more aggressive than
- 4:08Speaker 1: our Caucasian kind of parts. But that doesn't mean that
- 4:10Speaker 1: we are going to kill them. The question. The crazy
- 4:14Speaker 1: thing is we actually are brought up to be fearful
- 4:19Speaker 1: of the police, and that is crazy because they're supposed
- 4:23Speaker 1: to protect and serve our neighborhoods. But when they come
- 4:26Speaker 1: in our neighborhoods for some reason, they tend to kill
- 4:28Speaker 1: us and they tell to be uh. They tend to
- 4:31Speaker 1: be extra um physical with us when they arrest us,
- 4:35Speaker 1: for it could be for minor things. If they feel
- 4:37Speaker 1: any type of threat towards us, they tend to be
- 4:41Speaker 1: extra physical. And I think, to me, it has to
- 4:44Speaker 1: be some type of training that they need to go
- 4:47Speaker 1: through because and I understand your points, who I was
- 4:50Speaker 1: just saying, like in the training part, like they have
- 4:51Speaker 1: to tell these people like and I and then to
- 4:54Speaker 1: to segue a little bit, I feel like African Americans
- 4:58Speaker 1: were like a new species or something because all these
- 5:01Speaker 1: other things just popping up, came out like we just
- 5:05Speaker 1: came out like we're a new batch of race or
- 5:07Speaker 1: something like that. So I do like how things are
- 5:10Speaker 1: starting to unfold. But unfortunately, I do think the new
- 5:15Speaker 1: police officers have to have some type of, um, the
- 5:18Speaker 1: sense of time reform type of training for sure to
- 5:22Speaker 1: dealing with us in our communities. Well, you know, just
- 5:25Speaker 1: like you said, we are brought up to fear the police,
- 5:29Speaker 1: as a white person is brought up to fear black
- 5:32Speaker 1: people in general. And um, I was just watching this
- 5:36Speaker 1: video of this white man who was going off on
- 5:38Speaker 1: white people and just explaining the white privilege. And he
- 5:42Speaker 1: said in that video, you know, whether white people admit
- 5:46Speaker 1: it or not, they are raised to fear black people.
- 5:50Speaker 1: When a black person comes around, or you go into
- 5:52Speaker 1: a black neighborhood, lock your doors, you know. Um, so
- 5:55Speaker 1: this is a top behavior. And and just like for
- 5:59Speaker 1: the people, it's it's a it's a a top behavior
- 6:03Speaker 1: too because you know, your parents always, you know, getting
- 6:06Speaker 1: you prepared to how to on how to deal with
- 6:07Speaker 1: the police, and you know how to act. And you
- 6:11Speaker 1: know what I'm trying to say, no because listen, um,
- 6:13Speaker 1: I remember my mom clean houses when I was when
- 6:17Speaker 1: I was a younger kid, and I would go to
- 6:19Speaker 1: go with her to clean houses. And of course when
- 6:21Speaker 1: we were clean houses will be in rich uh Caucasian neighborhoods.
- 6:26Speaker 1: And you know, I never forget. We parked on the
- 6:28Speaker 1: side of the road one time and we were walking
- 6:30Speaker 1: into the house with cleaning supplies and one of the
- 6:33Speaker 1: neighbors called the police office. The police got there, my
- 6:36Speaker 1: mom had to call the owner. She showed that she
- 6:38Speaker 1: had the keys to the house, but the police officer
- 6:41Speaker 1: went to leave until the owner came. I was in
- 6:45Speaker 1: eighth grade and you know, I'm from West Palm Beach.
- 6:48Speaker 1: I think we saw a post on ball alert with
- 6:50Speaker 1: somebody from Wellington. We were actually in Wellington and that's
- 6:53Speaker 1: a very nice area compared to where we were living in.
- 6:57Speaker 1: And of course my mom didn't drive the best car,
- 7:00Speaker 1: so you know, as soon as we parked on the
- 7:03Speaker 1: side of the on the side of the street where
- 7:05Speaker 1: the house was at and we were walking up, neighbor
- 7:08Speaker 1: called police like who are these black You know, I'm
- 7:10Speaker 1: I had braids because you know, I'm in eighth grade,
- 7:13Speaker 1: so I had braids in my hair, and I'm I'm
- 7:15Speaker 1: pretty sure they felt threatened. That's a perfect example what
- 7:18Speaker 1: you're trying to say. Well, we are definitely happy that
- 7:21Speaker 1: nothing happened to you all, that you guys are safe,
- 7:23Speaker 1: because it's far too often. We know that it's the latter.
- 7:27Speaker 1: We know that black people are targets no matter what
- 7:30Speaker 1: they're doing. So it's time to see change. It's time
- 7:32Speaker 1: to see reform, do what we have to do to
- 7:35Speaker 1: make our communities feel safe again. And honestly, speaking about change,
- 7:38Speaker 1: who would have thought that your pancakes might be a problem.
- 7:44Speaker 1: That's your pancakes and your syrup might be a problem. Okay,
- 7:48Speaker 1: shout out to a young lady singer actually by the
- 7:51Speaker 1: name of Kirby. She's single handedly, single handedly got on Jemima,
- 7:57Speaker 1: the company that that produces on Jima Quaker oats to
- 8:01Speaker 1: change the imaging and the name. She educated me on
- 8:05Speaker 1: something I did not know that Jemima really comes. It's
- 8:10Speaker 1: inspired from a stereotype obviously many you know, and I
- 8:15Speaker 1: just didn't realize how deep and when of course, it's like,
- 8:18Speaker 1: we're looking at this imaging all the time, but I
- 8:21Speaker 1: don't even think that as black people, we let that register.
- 8:24Speaker 1: But the way that she pointed it out and explained
- 8:27Speaker 1: it in her TikTok video, I guess word got back
- 8:31Speaker 1: to Quaker Oats and they are changing the imaging for sure.
- 8:35Speaker 1: After one hundred and thirty one years, then Jemima name
- 8:39Speaker 1: and image will be scrubbed from syrup bottles, pancake mixed
- 8:43Speaker 1: packages because they are based off of, like you said,
- 8:46Speaker 1: racial stereotypes. I haven't let downstairs in my kitchen. Are
- 8:50Speaker 1: you what are you want to do about it? Now? Pancakes?
- 8:53Speaker 1: Are you guys, pancakes? I feel you? I feel you?
- 8:57Speaker 1: Are you going to continue to purchase Quaker Oats products
- 8:59Speaker 1: because listen, it's they knew where that came from. Why
- 9:04Speaker 1: did it take for a revolution for them to do that?
- 9:07Speaker 1: And honestly, it's hella the pancake options, like, come on,
- 9:11Speaker 1: black folks don't be taking no apologies and putting money
- 9:14Speaker 1: right back into their pockets because honestly, they don't really care.
- 9:17Speaker 1: They just don't want to lose any money. You know,
- 9:20Speaker 1: you know it hurt me, man, go ahead. I know it,
- 9:22Speaker 1: I know it hurt. Well. I was just gonna say,
- 9:24Speaker 1: you know, with all that's going on and how everybody
- 9:28Speaker 1: is being forced to look at race in this light,
- 9:32Speaker 1: um you have, I'm glad that these corporations are taking
- 9:35Speaker 1: accountability now, you know, better late than never. Although you
- 9:39Speaker 1: know what we're supposed to say, thank you for something
- 9:41Speaker 1: that you have, you should have been doing exactly you know,
- 9:44Speaker 1: um yeah, what you want to say, Oh yeah, we
- 9:46Speaker 1: appreciate it, thunk y'all right, But the way that we
- 9:50Speaker 1: really stick it to them is don't spend no money
- 9:52Speaker 1: on their products. I know, man, Damn, I got the
- 9:55Speaker 1: whole set up at the house to y'all, it's okay.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You you got a family, you're gonna run through it
- 9:59Speaker 1: real quick, and then you're gonna buy your other options. Damn. Man. Well,
- 10:04Speaker 1: hours after Quaker Oats made that announcement, another one, you're
- 10:08Speaker 1: going another one. They're going to be changing the packaging
- 10:12Speaker 1: for Uncle Ben's you know what, before y'all even start
- 10:16Speaker 1: actually that Now that one, now it makes it's making sense.
- 10:20Speaker 1: We got Aunt Jemima and then Uncle Ben. Uncle damn.
- 10:23Speaker 1: I'm over here, I'm over here putting two and two
- 10:26Speaker 1: together right now, like, wow, they've really even slick trying us.
- 10:31Speaker 1: But you know what, I'm glad that all this, all
- 10:33Speaker 1: this stuff is coming to light now. My biggest question
- 10:35Speaker 1: is what about the Quaker What about the man on
- 10:37Speaker 1: the um on the Quaker oats? No, no, not not
- 10:42Speaker 1: the oatmeal, the cream of wheat on the cream. Let
- 10:45Speaker 1: me out, trust me. Oh my god, oh my god,
- 10:51Speaker 1: oh my god. I'm looking at it right now. I
- 10:52Speaker 1: don't know. I saw I saw a me on Instagram
- 10:56Speaker 1: that said you're next, and hey, we funding down the line. Listen.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Who's okay? Listen what at a time? We are not
- 11:09Speaker 1: here value our money right now? He looks. Okay, I'm
- 11:14Speaker 1: looking at it, but I don't know. I got now.
- 11:16Speaker 1: We gotta research this. We gotta research this, y'all song,
- 11:21Speaker 1: and y'all says on the box. Yeah. But you know
- 11:29Speaker 1: what I want to say to these companies, it's not
- 11:31Speaker 1: enough for you to change the imaging and the name.
- 11:33Speaker 1: I want to see you all get involved in the
- 11:35Speaker 1: black communities, whether it is monthly community service adventures that
- 11:40Speaker 1: your employs can get into, or financially contributing like you guys.
- 11:44Speaker 1: It's not enough to just change the name. You got
- 11:46Speaker 1: to prove that you are really down. What if the
- 11:50Speaker 1: guy on the Quaker oats grits and the oatmeal, what
- 11:55Speaker 1: if he what are the origins of him? He looks
- 11:59Speaker 1: like the owner the planet, the plantation owner on that
- 12:04Speaker 1: same you're making me looking at everything. I'm looking at
- 12:08Speaker 1: the grids and the old man about Captain crunch, You
- 12:13Speaker 1: got chill out out for that's the captain cutting. Oh
- 12:20Speaker 1: hell no, he was one of the people driving the boat.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Let me crush. Don't nobody eat that sugar it is
- 12:30Speaker 1: I'm just talking all of these packaging um from from
- 12:39Speaker 1: corn flakes. These all stem from way, way like years ago.
- 12:44Speaker 1: So you never know the mindset of these companies. They're
- 12:47Speaker 1: all Europeanized and you know, push that upon us and
- 12:52Speaker 1: for them to unveil what you know, stereotypes that they
- 12:55Speaker 1: piggybacked off of to brand their product. I could see
- 12:59Speaker 1: more companies. I'm a forward. We cannot continue to be
- 13:08Speaker 1: shocked when these companies that come from the eighteen hundreds
- 13:13Speaker 1: or whenever it was that they that they were born
- 13:16Speaker 1: that they're not racist. They absolutely are. But you know what,
- 13:19Speaker 1: speaking of something that is shocking, people are kind of
- 13:25Speaker 1: tripping to Deja Harris's reaction. If you watch t I
- 13:31Speaker 1: Family Hustle the latest episode, then you got to see
- 13:35Speaker 1: what Deja's reaction was. Back when t I revealed that
- 13:40Speaker 1: he um he goes to the gynecologists with her to
- 13:45Speaker 1: make sure that she is intact, basically to make sure
- 13:49Speaker 1: his baby girl is not sexually active. So obviously we
- 13:53Speaker 1: knew that she was embarrassed, you know. We we knew
- 13:56Speaker 1: that she deactivated her social media, she kind of went
- 13:59Speaker 1: goes for a little bit. But this was where we
- 14:01Speaker 1: actually got to physically see her reaction. And some people
- 14:05Speaker 1: feel like she might be a little harsh on t
- 14:07Speaker 1: I because at one at one point she actually said
- 14:10Speaker 1: that she'll be a better parent, you know, not to
- 14:13Speaker 1: say that he is a bad parent, but she just
- 14:15Speaker 1: felt like she would be a little more empathetic and
- 14:18Speaker 1: respectful of her children's privacy. And I can understand that
- 14:22Speaker 1: I can relate as a woman. I would be completely embarrassed,
- 14:28Speaker 1: could not my face if my father told the world
- 14:31Speaker 1: about me like that, let alone on that platform, you know,
- 14:35Speaker 1: UM as a father of a teenager with now I
- 14:39Speaker 1: see when I wake up in the morning, I just
- 14:41Speaker 1: realized that by the last month she got boobs now
- 14:45Speaker 1: and it bothers me a little bit, but I don't
- 14:49Speaker 1: necessarily and my and my teenager is actually super private,
- 14:52Speaker 1: so she don't really like attention like that. So I
- 14:56Speaker 1: can already imagine how, of course, growing up being TIA's
- 15:01Speaker 1: daughter and being on TV for everyone to judge you,
- 15:05Speaker 1: so I can kindred and teenagers. You know, once teenagers
- 15:08Speaker 1: start becoming mature and you guys are you you? You
- 15:11Speaker 1: ladies are females, so you will know this more than me.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Once you get like sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen twenty, you
- 15:17Speaker 1: kind of over here life bro a pops, You're not
- 15:21Speaker 1: necessarily as cool as everybody think you. Hi, why are
- 15:25Speaker 1: you talking about my business on TV social media? You
- 15:28Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. I think he could have left
- 15:29Speaker 1: that private. That's my big dog. But hey, I think
- 15:31Speaker 1: you could have left that alone. That's true. And it's
- 15:33Speaker 1: just like the old Kanye. Piece of the old Kanye said,
- 15:37Speaker 1: and we made you from the Late Registration album come
- 15:41Speaker 1: on feeling better. There's some head on a Sunday afternoon
- 15:45Speaker 1: better than a check that says yes too soon until
- 15:48Speaker 1: you have a daughter. That's what I call calmen and
- 15:50Speaker 1: you pray the guy she don't grow breast too soon.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, well my my, my seventeen, my soon to
- 15:56Speaker 1: be seventeen year old breasts are here. They're they're definitely here,
- 16:00Speaker 1: and I don't like it. The double standard has to stop,
- 16:04Speaker 1: you know. I feel like we're in an age now
- 16:06Speaker 1: where people who wanted to ignore or could not understand
- 16:10Speaker 1: systematic racism or racism period are starting to open their
- 16:14Speaker 1: eyes to it. And now I feel like we have
- 16:17Speaker 1: other conversations to have right for centuries, for since the
- 16:21Speaker 1: beginning of time, men have always talked about women's bodies,
- 16:24Speaker 1: what they should do, what they should look like, how
- 16:26Speaker 1: they should be and listen, it is not your place
- 16:30Speaker 1: to talk about this young woman's body, no matter what
- 16:33Speaker 1: stage she's in. I understand you know. This may be
- 16:36Speaker 1: your child, this may be a family member, a niece.
- 16:39Speaker 1: But I promise you there is not a single young
- 16:42Speaker 1: woman in the world who is truly okay with her
- 16:47Speaker 1: body being talked about. They're still trying to understand their
- 16:50Speaker 1: body at that age themselves. So to have to go
- 16:53Speaker 1: on social media and read all these comments and then
- 16:56Speaker 1: also here other men chiming in, Oh yeah, I would
- 16:59Speaker 1: do that with daughter too. I mean, she she better
- 17:01Speaker 1: be a virgin. She too young. But then you turn
- 17:04Speaker 1: around and you hear fathers having conversations with their kids
- 17:07Speaker 1: about being baby daddy's or you have a situation like
- 17:11Speaker 1: Little Boosey where he went and got a woman to
- 17:15Speaker 1: service his young kids and his nephews. Like, the double
- 17:18Speaker 1: standard is so extreme it just does not make sense.
- 17:23Speaker 1: So please leave these young women alone. If they have
- 17:27Speaker 1: a mother, let the mother deal with that. If they
- 17:30Speaker 1: have aunts, let the aunt deal with that. Certain things
- 17:32Speaker 1: should be private, you know. Yeah, And if they don't
- 17:34Speaker 1: have female figures in their life and you have to
- 17:37Speaker 1: be that as a father, then I applaud you for
- 17:39Speaker 1: being that, But please understand the boundaries and give her
- 17:43Speaker 1: the respect to talk to her about what those boundaries
- 17:46Speaker 1: may be. Because don't just don't assume that she'll be
- 17:48Speaker 1: okay with it. Don't assume that these girls are okay
- 17:51Speaker 1: and she was just mortified to even have a conversation
- 17:54Speaker 1: about it with her dad. You know, that alone says
- 17:58Speaker 1: a lot. I'm pretty sure, like the conversation at if
- 18:01Speaker 1: it was more of a private conversation versus it going
- 18:05Speaker 1: viral or whatever, we called it, and it's just you know,
- 18:09Speaker 1: it's just embarrassing. You know, just as a kid, I
- 18:11Speaker 1: can kind of I would set be embarrassed. That's embarrassing,
- 18:14Speaker 1: so you know, and just as a father, you you
- 18:17Speaker 1: don't want to embarrass your kid. But at the same time,
- 18:21Speaker 1: we don't know what's going on. We kind of see
- 18:24Speaker 1: bits and pieces. Well we see the majority of it.
- 18:26Speaker 1: I ain't gonna lie, but I mean, I couldn't imagine
- 18:29Speaker 1: being a celebrities child. Being a normal person is already enough.
- 18:34Speaker 1: It's already a lot of being a celebrities child is
- 18:37Speaker 1: completely different. So I guess we can go ahead and
- 18:40Speaker 1: get into this. Yeah, right, well, let's go ahead and
- 18:44Speaker 1: get into this Rick Ross situation since we're talking about kids.
- 18:50Speaker 1: So Brianna Camille and Miami rapper Rick Ross, they've been
- 18:54Speaker 1: going back and forth in a custody battle regarding their
- 18:57Speaker 1: two children. And keep in mind she is currently agnant.
- 19:00Speaker 1: There's a third child on the way. They got two
- 19:02Speaker 1: kids together and then she got pregnant with him. Was
- 19:09Speaker 1: well listen, she is his former living girlfriend. You know,
- 19:13Speaker 1: they were in a real relationship, and last month Brianna
- 19:17Speaker 1: actually said it was documented in court papers that she
- 19:21Speaker 1: has no problem, you know, granting ross any parenting time
- 19:26Speaker 1: like he she wants him to have time with his kids,
- 19:29Speaker 1: but she wants him to test negative for COVID nineteen
- 19:33Speaker 1: because she said that he's been traveling and because of
- 19:36Speaker 1: her current pregnancy, it means that she's at a higher
- 19:38Speaker 1: risk of complications. Some people say she's tripping. Some people
- 19:43Speaker 1: think he's tripping because he's saying that the virus is
- 19:46Speaker 1: a non factor. It doesn't matter. He thinks that she
- 19:49Speaker 1: just wants to keep him from from seeing his kids.
- 19:52Speaker 1: Where she's just like, listen, just take the test. If
- 19:55Speaker 1: it says you're negative, you can come get them right now.
- 19:59Speaker 1: It just sounds like a o they're protecting her kids. Okay, guys, listen,
- 20:02Speaker 1: you know what I think. It sounds like a pregnant
- 20:04Speaker 1: lady being extra number one, number two. How the hell
- 20:09Speaker 1: did you get pregnant anyway? Okay, was you worried about
- 20:11Speaker 1: COVID nineteen, then was you worried about COVID team, then
- 20:15Speaker 1: when y'all y'all was not even together, you got pregnant.
- 20:19Speaker 1: And then now you know that went together when she
- 20:21Speaker 1: got pregnant because they weren't How do you know, were
- 20:26Speaker 1: they quarantining together? I don't know. Do you know that?
- 20:29Speaker 1: We don't know, That's what I'm saying. And she want that, Well,
- 20:34Speaker 1: he don't got COVID nineteen, but you said he that's that.
- 20:37Speaker 1: That was his living girlfriend, right, Yes, they lived, so
- 20:40Speaker 1: they had for the first for the first two kids.
- 20:43Speaker 1: I thought they only had one together. No, they have
- 20:46Speaker 1: two children, and they they've been shocking pregnant and she's
- 20:54Speaker 1: all the way pregnant. So she got three months she
- 20:57Speaker 1: got pregnant. She got pregn it with the breakup sex
- 21:00Speaker 1: and lett y'all know she had she got pregnant with
- 21:02Speaker 1: breakup sext the beginning of fourteen. We're like almost six
- 21:07Speaker 1: months in. If that's the case, they got pregnant, okay,
- 21:12Speaker 1: because they did it together. And the reality is, listen,
- 21:17Speaker 1: cod's emotionally unstable because she's pregnant. I get it. And
- 21:21Speaker 1: she wants him to take a COVID nineteen tests across.
- 21:25Speaker 1: Just take the test, bro, and just test negative and
- 21:27Speaker 1: then go over there. That's it, because what if he
- 21:29Speaker 1: actually has it? What if he's asymptomatic and the kids
- 21:32Speaker 1: get it? Now, what everybody's gonna be like, Oh, oh,
- 21:36Speaker 1: he should have took the test. Like the mama said,
- 21:39Speaker 1: she's pregnant. She don't want to, she don't want her
- 21:41Speaker 1: kids to get sick. You don't want the new and
- 21:43Speaker 1: she's elevatedly emotionally extra and the fair sir, take the
- 21:51Speaker 1: damn test and go to your kids. Want to take
- 21:54Speaker 1: the test? Man, what are you gonna listen if he
- 21:58Speaker 1: took the test when when the conversation first came up,
- 22:01Speaker 1: he would have been with his kids. But that thing
- 22:03Speaker 1: all over your nose, man, that ship don't even look comfortable,
- 22:05Speaker 1: look like it hurts. It's up your But what's worse
- 22:08Speaker 1: that are getting your kids sick? Come on now, because
- 22:11Speaker 1: y'all know even y'all know eve been traveling or getting
- 22:17Speaker 1: um colonoscopy. I hope by the time it's time for
- 22:21Speaker 1: me to take that they have a research. They have
- 22:23Speaker 1: a new way in doing it where they just think,
- 22:25Speaker 1: like something in my ear or some ship. Man, that's
- 22:28Speaker 1: gonna be the worst day of my life. Well, I
- 22:31Speaker 1: want to know who do y'all think is tripping? Do
- 22:33Speaker 1: you think Rick Ross is tripping for refusing to take
- 22:36Speaker 1: a COVID nineteen test, or do you think Brianna Camille
- 22:39Speaker 1: his baby mama is tripping for asking him to take
- 22:42Speaker 1: one before seeing his kids. I think Brianna Camille is
- 22:45Speaker 1: tripping on. Want me to tell your why because I
- 22:47Speaker 1: think deep down she knows Rick Ross does not have
- 22:50Speaker 1: COVID nineteen and she's just being extra. But I could
- 22:53Speaker 1: be wrong know that. How do I think it's between
- 22:56Speaker 1: them two? I think them to know they know like
- 22:59Speaker 1: she know was. But I think she's just challenging him, like, Yo,
- 23:02Speaker 1: you need to take the test. You've been going out
- 23:04Speaker 1: and doing too much stuff. What do you think O
- 23:06Speaker 1: c T. I think we're giving this too much energy. Okay,
- 23:13Speaker 1: take the test. That's it. Just take the tests. Are like,
- 23:16Speaker 1: don't try to make it seem like she's being evil.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Just take the damn test. COVID is really out here. Okay.
- 23:21Speaker 1: I'm not saying this as crazy as they're saying it is,
- 23:24Speaker 1: but just don't don't risk putting the kids in harm's way.
- 23:26Speaker 1: Even even Ferrari, even Ferrai Simmons gotta change his clothes
- 23:30Speaker 1: and take a shower when he gets home before he
- 23:31Speaker 1: could interact and take all my clothes off and walking
- 23:34Speaker 1: out straws on and go straight to the shower. Woman's
- 23:37Speaker 1: mind and take the test. Okay that your baby mother
- 23:43Speaker 1: the mother of your child. All right, well we're gonna
- 23:47Speaker 1: move on from that because clearly we're just giving that
- 23:50Speaker 1: a little too much. Moving on, the Netflix CEO and
- 23:53Speaker 1: his wife donate a hundred and twenty million dollars to
- 23:56Speaker 1: historically black colleges. I hope it doesn't go to, you know,
- 24:00Speaker 1: the top five colleges. I hope it goes to the
- 24:03Speaker 1: ones that are bottom ranked, because they definitely need the funds.
- 24:07Speaker 1: I think a number one is Spellman. I believe Spellman
- 24:10Speaker 1: is the number one HBCU in the country. I think
- 24:13Speaker 1: the top five HBCUs are really well funded for the
- 24:17Speaker 1: most part. I hope that it goes towards I hope
- 24:20Speaker 1: it goes from the bottom up. If that makes sense. Well,
- 24:23Speaker 1: let's just say that. On Wednesday, more House College announced
- 24:27Speaker 1: it had received forty million dollars from Patty Equivalent. I
- 24:31Speaker 1: believe it's her name and read Hasting. It is the
- 24:34Speaker 1: largest single donation in more Houses one and forty two
- 24:38Speaker 1: year history. Oh, I have to interrupt you all. It
- 24:41Speaker 1: is a high school athlete, mikey Um. He is a
- 24:45Speaker 1: highly highly recruited UM upcoming senior and he's thinking about
- 24:53Speaker 1: taking his talent to an HBCU think and that's how
- 24:56Speaker 1: you bring it home. Actually talked about that on a
- 24:58Speaker 1: previous episode of The Ball Alert Show. I think that
- 25:01Speaker 1: that was I think that would be super dope. If
- 25:04Speaker 1: he does, it forces the dollars to come to the
- 25:10Speaker 1: HBCUs because they will spend their money with us. Yeah,
- 25:13Speaker 1: like imagine Lebron James taking do a one year in
- 25:16Speaker 1: college at the HBCUs. Oh my gosh. Well, they also
- 25:20Speaker 1: donated million dollars each to Spellman College and the unscf
- 25:26Speaker 1: UM and we're excited about that. I'd love to see
- 25:28Speaker 1: this energy going to the black communities. They feel that
- 25:32Speaker 1: they were blessed to have great, great education and they
- 25:35Speaker 1: wanted to share that with some members of the black community.
- 25:38Speaker 1: So it looks like they are looking to more house
- 25:40Speaker 1: that is is going to pay tuition for some people.
- 25:44Speaker 1: They're going to be some graduates that get to walk
- 25:45Speaker 1: away debt free, and I'm hoping that in the future
- 25:49Speaker 1: they turn around and bring that some of that love
- 25:51Speaker 1: back to the community as well. Who's celebrating Juneteenth out
- 25:55Speaker 1: here for sure? Speaking of black Love Friday, June teenth,
- 26:00Speaker 1: um is upon us and just a few corporations that
- 26:03Speaker 1: are recognizing this holiday um as a holiday. Actually this
- 26:07Speaker 1: year is Target also Nike, fifth Ord Bank, Quicken Loans, Twitter, Square, Lift, Adobe,
- 26:16Speaker 1: the New York Times, Postmates, Google, just to name a few,
- 26:20Speaker 1: and the NFL the commissioner Roger Goodell. But he just
- 26:25Speaker 1: won't quit. Why I noticed, you know, with all these
- 26:28Speaker 1: companies that are finally recognizing Junetee, that's a paid national holiday,
- 26:32Speaker 1: giving these people off, a lot of them are. Um.
- 26:34Speaker 1: I'm seeing that they're saying that the country is experiencing
- 26:39Speaker 1: this sort of trauma right now and it's not new,
- 26:42Speaker 1: but it's not enough. But we'll take it with the
- 26:44Speaker 1: in light of everything, we want to recognize Juneteenth. And
- 26:48Speaker 1: it's just like, okay, it's a trend, but let's see
- 26:51Speaker 1: what they do moving forward. Let's see what they do
- 26:53Speaker 1: moving accountable. So I wants I think every African American
- 27:00Speaker 1: person should get a hundred and fifty thou dollar check.
- 27:05Speaker 1: That's nothing. But this is just part one. This is
- 27:08Speaker 1: just part one. Hey, guys, just send out a real
- 27:12Speaker 1: stimulus to to the African American community. You want us
- 27:15Speaker 1: to figure out how to buy our own block back
- 27:20Speaker 1: reparations community can look a few different ways. Black people
- 27:25Speaker 1: should have lower interest rates on loans, We should be
- 27:28Speaker 1: able to purchase homes at lower rates. Like there should
- 27:30Speaker 1: be financial um relief in a lot of different things
- 27:35Speaker 1: when it comes to the African American community. Because if
- 27:38Speaker 1: America wants to keep crying that they cannot afford to
- 27:41Speaker 1: give us the reparations that we so desperately deserve, then
- 27:45Speaker 1: help us out in other ways. Make other things accessible
- 27:48Speaker 1: to us. But please know the reparations are coming. We're
- 27:51Speaker 1: gonna keep demanding that. Are you guys happy with the
- 27:55Speaker 1: acknowledgement than Juneteenth is getting right now? But I think
- 27:58Speaker 1: it's I think it's a start. I think everything that's
- 28:00Speaker 1: happening right now is a start, and I'm cool with that.
- 28:04Speaker 1: And I think on Juneteenth to like, that's our fourth
- 28:08Speaker 1: of July. But I feel like it should be recognized
- 28:11Speaker 1: as such, just like the Irish kid there holiday on St.
- 28:14Speaker 1: Patrick's Day, just like we coming coming. It's like to
- 28:18Speaker 1: go to Mayo gets their day. You know, I feel
- 28:21Speaker 1: like we should be you know, June teams should be
- 28:24Speaker 1: established like that. And I feel like a lot of
- 28:26Speaker 1: these especially these corporations who are recognizing and it should
- 28:29Speaker 1: do something in the black community on this day. I
- 28:31Speaker 1: think it's something. I think it's coming. I think now
- 28:34Speaker 1: corporations are paying attention. I think it's kind of like
- 28:38Speaker 1: a worldwide like actually worldwide. It's like, oh wow, we're listening.
- 28:42Speaker 1: We're sorry, we're listening, but now they're actually listening, and
- 28:46Speaker 1: so we need action. I don't want I don't even
- 28:48Speaker 1: want to talk about this ship no more. Let's see
- 28:50Speaker 1: the action. So June teenth cool, I'm telling you all, man,
- 28:54Speaker 1: each African American should get a huntred in fifty k,
- 28:57Speaker 1: just for starters, just like how they're doing June teeent
- 28:59Speaker 1: and a that. Yeah, just send us all a hunt in.
- 29:01Speaker 1: We need that. Come on, everybody should get a UF
- 29:04Speaker 1: That's just a start, but is well on the hunting
- 29:11Speaker 1: is well on the way. And make sure make sure
- 29:14Speaker 1: you keep right here because Valla bell is coming up
- 29:16Speaker 1: next right right. All right, that's it in case you
- 29:20Speaker 1: missed it, And now it's time for a word from
- 29:22Speaker 1: our sponsors. You're you're listening to message. I actually got
- 29:30Speaker 1: this one this morning, y'all. This was hot off the press. Um.
- 29:36Speaker 1: I think it's funny, but you guys may not here
- 29:38Speaker 1: we go, dearI I think my husband has a monthly period.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Every month he completely makes up an argument and storms
- 29:46Speaker 1: out of the house and I don't see him until
- 29:48Speaker 1: the next day. What man creates an argument and leaves
- 29:51Speaker 1: for one to two days and goes to his mama's house.
- 29:54Speaker 1: And before y'all think he say he's cheating. I have
- 29:57Speaker 1: his location on his phone, so I know he's over there. Plus, well,
- 30:00Speaker 1: he gonna drop his phone off over there, didn't leave.
- 30:02Speaker 1: Plus his mom is always in the middle of our arguments.
- 30:06Speaker 1: What do I do about my man? Slash woman? I
- 30:08Speaker 1: live with wow girl. His mama has a woman that
- 30:12Speaker 1: she would rather her son be with. So when he
- 30:14Speaker 1: leaves for those one or two days, that woman is
- 30:16Speaker 1: at his mama house and they got a whole little
- 30:20Speaker 1: fake relationship situation going on to make his mama happy.
- 30:23Speaker 1: His mama is in the ships. Uh, Like I said,
- 30:28Speaker 1: he gonna go with his mama house, drop his phone off,
- 30:31Speaker 1: and then go to where he really going to. He
- 30:34Speaker 1: gonna come back, get his phone, and he's gonna go
- 30:35Speaker 1: back home. Yeah, Doc underscore SKK said, he leaves his
- 30:39Speaker 1: phone at his mama house. Pull up, pull up on him.
- 30:41Speaker 1: That works every time. Oh so they agreed, right, yeah,
- 30:44Speaker 1: got again? She said, well, she picking him up at
- 30:47Speaker 1: his mama's house, and he leaves his phone at his mama.
- 30:49Speaker 1: So at his mama, so you can keep thinking he
- 30:51Speaker 1: at his mama house. I'm trying to tell baby J
- 30:54Speaker 1: wants that either he's leaving his phone at his mom's
- 30:56Speaker 1: house or his mom is the other bitch my gosh. Okay,
- 31:02Speaker 1: this is a deep one. The m the the motherfucking editor. Okay,
- 31:06Speaker 1: that's the m F and editor. If a man is
- 31:09Speaker 1: holding you emotionally hostage, or or if his emotions are
- 31:13Speaker 1: taking up all your space of your relationship, that you
- 31:17Speaker 1: you find yourself not even being able to emote your
- 31:21Speaker 1: femininity because he's hoarding all emotional labor. That all, if
- 31:26Speaker 1: he's holding all the emotional labor, then let him go.
- 31:29Speaker 1: It's unsafe for your mental and you deserve a grown
- 31:32Speaker 1: man that uses his words, not a little girl man
- 31:36Speaker 1: that treats his mother like the other woman. That ship
- 31:38Speaker 1: is weird. Who has who has all that time? Okay
- 31:43Speaker 1: for him? Well, Pory, what do you think? What's your advice?
- 31:47Speaker 1: I think yeah, I think his mom is in on it.
- 31:49Speaker 1: I think he goes over there, he leaves the phone
- 31:52Speaker 1: with his mom, and I think maybe even his mom
- 31:55Speaker 1: is the person arguing back and forth for her while
- 31:57Speaker 1: his while her son goes out and do his dirt
- 32:00Speaker 1: and then come back, don't come back because and then
- 32:03Speaker 1: you as a woman, just letting your man leave for
- 32:07Speaker 1: two days, one to two days. I wish I would
- 32:10Speaker 1: leave my house girl, tunisia, Tunisia, change the locks up
- 32:13Speaker 1: in this thing. And she would be like, that'd be
- 32:16Speaker 1: last time you leave this house. You you can't come back,
- 32:19Speaker 1: And she says this happens often, So I ain't feeling
- 32:22Speaker 1: that I would go with him, open to them, where
- 32:25Speaker 1: are we going? All right? Argue over there? Yes, yes,
- 32:29Speaker 1: cooking tonight, right, I'll be there. Yeah. So yeah, I think, um,
- 32:34Speaker 1: I think you need y'all need to I wouldn't even
- 32:37Speaker 1: recommend counsel. I think y'all need to go here and
- 32:39Speaker 1: go y'all separate ways because that's toxic both. I agree.
- 32:43Speaker 1: I ain't doing nothing. And now it's time from a
- 32:46Speaker 1: word from our sponsors. And now it's type of common creeping.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Now y'all know I'd never do stuff like this. I
- 32:59Speaker 1: never really be and drama like this, but two people
- 33:03Speaker 1: that I know. One I'm super cool with it's like
- 33:05Speaker 1: a brother to me, and the other one I'm I've
- 33:07Speaker 1: been a part of his um beginning, part of the
- 33:09Speaker 1: stages of him being an artist. So why ko Cyrus
- 33:12Speaker 1: shoots his shot at uh wife and Lucci's ex girlfriend. Okay, Regina, Um,
- 33:23Speaker 1: please play the audio. Come on, just give me a chance.
- 33:27Speaker 1: I'm not like these other rappers. I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 33:29Speaker 1: give you the world. Leave me on head please. I
- 33:32Speaker 1: know you're tired of the bull crowd. Nick's doing dumb jump,
- 33:35Speaker 1: but I'm not gonna do it. Your Dady's gonna like me.
- 33:37Speaker 1: I'm gonna give you the world, baby, listen, and I'm
- 33:40Speaker 1: smart and I love God. Okay, wife and Lucci comments,
- 33:45Speaker 1: shot ain't none, it's a brick. M m m. That's
- 33:49Speaker 1: my wife, and Luci said basically, would you know him?
- 33:55Speaker 1: And uh you know? Um they're talking now. I don't
- 34:00Speaker 1: think no, no, no, I don't think that they're talking
- 34:06Speaker 1: like in their relationship. I think that's fine. They could
- 34:10Speaker 1: be cool. You don't have nothing to do with with
- 34:12Speaker 1: her next relationship or the next person that wants to
- 34:14Speaker 1: talk to her. Just being protective of it. You know. No,
- 34:18Speaker 1: I think the P word that you're looking for is possessive.
- 34:22Speaker 1: I mean it's a difference between protective and possessive. That
- 34:27Speaker 1: man is not out possessive. He ain't looking out for
- 34:34Speaker 1: her in that type of way. Okay, I'm done, but yo,
- 34:40Speaker 1: we appreciate that common creep in as messy as that
- 34:43Speaker 1: was rory. Before we get out of here, Balling Nation,
- 34:47Speaker 1: do you have a word for us? Yeah, I'm about
- 34:49Speaker 1: to pull it up. All right, Before we get out
- 34:51Speaker 1: of here, ball Nation, I just want to say happy
- 34:53Speaker 1: June teenth to everybody, every black person. I hope he
- 34:57Speaker 1: is celebrate like it's fourth of July. Yes, and I
- 35:00Speaker 1: appreciate you guys tuning into the ball Alert Show podcast
- 35:04Speaker 1: each and every week. We love you guys. Don't forget
- 35:07Speaker 1: to follow us on social media. We love reading your comments,
- 35:10Speaker 1: and we will be sharing some of your comments on
- 35:12Speaker 1: next week's episodes for some of our hottest topics. To
- 35:15Speaker 1: go on ahead and get those hen shout. Okay, I
- 35:18Speaker 1: mean my comments are quick, y'all. I don't really have
- 35:21Speaker 1: too much more to say. I just had a couple
- 35:23Speaker 1: of things to say. All right, leave us with a
- 35:25Speaker 1: word eight minutes forty six seconds. Eight minutes forty six seconds,
- 35:31Speaker 1: that's how long the knee was on George Floyd's neck.
- 35:36Speaker 1: So um, I challenge anyone who listened to this right
- 35:40Speaker 1: now to do something for eight minutes and forty six
- 35:44Speaker 1: seconds and see how long that is, and then and
- 35:50Speaker 1: then replay I need being on your neck for that
- 35:53Speaker 1: same length. Okay, okay, love all, just because the true
- 36:02Speaker 1: is real.
