One of the biggest lies that we absorb, often without realizing
• 0:03
it, is that authentic is that authentic faith should feel
• 0:07
  consistently strong, confident, and clear.
• 0:11
But Scripture tells us something very different.
• 0:13
David wrote in Psalms from places of despair and confusion.
• 0:17
Elijah, after a powerful victory, collapsed under
• 0:20
exhaustion and asked God to take his life.
• 0:22
Even John the Baptist, who recognized Jesus as the Messiah,
• 0:26
later sent messengers asking if Jesus was really the one.
• 0:30
So faith has always been messy. We just stopped talking about
• 0:33
that part of it. There were seasons when prayer
• 0:36
feels dry, seasons when Scripture doesn't hit the way it
• 0:39
used to, seasons when obedience felt mechanical and joy felt
• 0:43
  distant. Those moments don't disqualify
• 0:46
your faith, though. They reveal that it's alive.
• 0:49
The problem is that many of us have learned to hide behind
• 0:53
  these seasons.
