- 0:02Speaker 1: Oh, the dark days are over. Thank God. We are
- 0:06Speaker 1: finally back out of our cave, ready to talk a
- 0:10Speaker 1: little fantasy football. Did every guy on your bench go off?
- 0:19Speaker 1: Did you decide to set your top scorer because you
- 0:23Speaker 1: had a hunch?
- 0:24Speaker 2: Did your drafting a kicker.
- 0:26Speaker 1: In the first round strategy not pay off? Then this
- 0:30Speaker 1: is the show for you. Now here to help you
- 0:34Speaker 1: set your lineups every week, it's Eddie and Thor with
- 0:38Speaker 1: Fantasy Freaking Football. Wow. It only took like 20 years,
- 0:43Speaker 1: but we got a new open. How cool is that?
- 0:45Speaker 1: Love it. That was unbelievable. Yes, we are back. We
- 0:49Speaker 1: are excited as the NFL season is about to begin
- 0:53Speaker 1: in a week. And of course, that means fantasy.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Which is fantastic, man. So, you know, if you've already
- 1:00Speaker 1: had your fantasy draft, what are you doing? We say
- 1:02Speaker 1: this every year. If you listen to this show. then
- 1:05Speaker 1: you know we are big proponents of waiting until as
- 1:08Speaker 1: long as possible to have a fantasy draft.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Yeah, and the perfect example of Josh Jacobs.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Yeah, you didn't know if you drafted him in the
- 1:15Speaker 1: third round, you're already screwed.
- 1:17Speaker 2: I'd be still worried about Puka Nakua.
- 1:19Speaker 3: I know that he's not on the exemplar list yet,
- 1:20Speaker 3: but I don't understand how he's not going to get suspended.
- 1:22Speaker 3: I don't know if you saw the bite marks on
- 1:24Speaker 3: that girl. And then on top of that, his ex-girlfriend
- 1:26Speaker 3: is now saying there's more claims. So I would wait
- 1:30Speaker 3: until Sunday to do my draft. Because remember, the first
- 1:32Speaker 3: game is on a Wednesday this year, which is weird.
- 1:34Speaker 1: That's throwing everything into a tizzy.
- 1:35Speaker 2: It really is.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Because I'm in three leagues. You're in three leagues. Normally,
- 1:39Speaker 1: the way my league works is that we have a draft.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Me and you are in two leagues together. Our buddies' league,
- 1:46Speaker 1: we always draft on Labor Day. Then we usually hold
- 1:49Speaker 1: our work draft, the one here, on Tuesday. And then
- 1:52Speaker 1: my OG league that I've been in is always on Wednesday. Well,
- 1:55Speaker 1: because the season begins on Wednesday, it's thrown everything off.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Everything's thrown off. And so now it looks like we
- 2:03Speaker 1: are going to have our work league draft on Sunday.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Our buddies league is still on Labor Day. And then
- 2:09Speaker 1: my OG league is going to happen on Tuesday. So
- 2:13Speaker 1: I know my draft position in two out of the
- 2:16Speaker 1: three leagues, the OG league. is a random draw when
- 2:20Speaker 1: you're there. Oh, do you do it that way too?
- 2:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I was in three leagues.
- 2:24Speaker 3: I'm in our work league, then the league we're in together,
- 2:27Speaker 3: and then kind of a fun league that I came
- 2:29Speaker 3: in second last year, and I was against making it
- 2:32Speaker 3: more expensive to be in. How'd that work out? And
- 2:35Speaker 3: I came in second.
- 2:38Speaker 1: But you didn't get as much money as you could
- 2:40Speaker 1: have gotten.
- 2:40Speaker 2: No, I could have gotten more.
- 2:41Speaker 3: But that being said, that league, for some reason, is
- 2:44Speaker 3: when you get there, we decide, which I hate.
- 2:47Speaker 1: See, I know there's definitely that side of people who
- 2:50Speaker 1: hate that. I like it because it's fun. I mean,
- 2:52Speaker 1: it's like you don't know what I'm going to get.
- 2:54Speaker 1: I draw the number, and then I'm either disappointed or like, oh, okay.
- 2:59Speaker 2: I feel like no matter where I draft, I'm always disappointed.
- 3:02Speaker 2: If I'm one, I'm disappointed. If I'm 10, I'm disappointed.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Really?
- 3:04Speaker 2: You're always just like, ah.
- 3:06Speaker 1: What could make you happy? I don't know. Nothing? Nothing. Well,
- 3:08Speaker 1: then what's the point?
- 3:08Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 3:08Speaker 1: I don't understand. So let's go ahead and tell everybody
- 3:12Speaker 1: our draft positions that we know of right now. So
- 3:15Speaker 1: where are you at in our work league? All right.
- 3:17Speaker 3: I'm at four in our work league, which is a
- 3:21Speaker 3: weird spot because you assume the top two backs are
- 3:25Speaker 3: Jameer Gibbs, Bajon Robinson. They're going to go off first.
- 3:28Speaker 3: And then Jamar Chase, I'm assuming, will be the third
- 3:31Speaker 3: person off. And then it's kind of like.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Who's next?
- 3:33Speaker 2: Who's next? So I'm not the biggest fan of being
- 3:37Speaker 2: at four.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Okay.
- 3:38Speaker 2: But on the flip side, I'm going to get a
- 3:40Speaker 2: great player.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:41Speaker 2: So it is what it is.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Now, I know you in years past have been a
- 3:45Speaker 1: big Jonathan Taylor guy. Yeah. So he could be in
- 3:47Speaker 1: the mix. Obviously, you have Christian McCaffrey. You have Jackson
- 3:50Speaker 1: Smith and Jigba. There's guys out there.
- 3:52Speaker 2: And Puka, like I said.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Puka, for sure.
- 3:54Speaker 2: But I don't know. Yeah, there's guys out there. I
- 3:58Speaker 2: do feel like it may be a little too early for.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Jonathan Taylor, but on the other side, he's always going
- 4:03Speaker 3: to get yards. Like a guy like, I know this
- 4:06Speaker 3: is going to sound crazy, Amon Ross St. Brown, year
- 4:09Speaker 3: in and year out, is like a top guy in
- 4:11Speaker 3: the league, but we don't.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Look at him as a top five pick.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Is that just because you got him last year? And
- 4:15Speaker 1: he's always scoring points, though. Is that good for you?
- 4:17Speaker 1: He's always scoring points. He is.
- 4:19Speaker 2: But I wouldn't draft him at four. That's crazy.
- 4:20Speaker 1: That is crazy.
- 4:21Speaker 2: But if you draft him at ten, that's okay.
- 4:22Speaker 1: I just, I don't know.
- 4:23Speaker 3: Okay.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Thank you. Okay, so in our work league, you're four.
- 4:28Speaker 1: I'm nine. Nine, okay. Okay. I don't hate nine. I
- 4:31Speaker 1: hate nine.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Really?
- 4:32Speaker 1: Because I, I, if I'm going to be, it's a
- 4:33Speaker 1: 12 person league. I want to be like in the middle.
- 4:36Speaker 1: I want to be six or seven, six, seven, uh,
- 4:39Speaker 1: nine is like a little too late and it's a little,
- 4:42Speaker 1: and it's not early enough.
- 4:43Speaker 3: You kind of get that second tier running backs or
- 4:46Speaker 3: maybe like maybe a tier top tier.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Why is your falls.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Last year in our buddies league? I was nine and
- 4:53Speaker 1: I drafted CD lamb and CD lamb did good. He
- 4:56Speaker 1: had a good season.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Um, And this year, in anything I'm looking at, the
- 5:01Speaker 1: player who's nine is CeeDee Lamb. And I'm like, CeeDee Lamb?
- 5:05Speaker 1: Do I want him again?
- 5:06Speaker 3: And also, I kind of feel like George Pickens has
- 5:09Speaker 3: become the guy there.
- 5:12Speaker 1: It's tough. They're very close. They're both great. They're both great.
- 5:15Speaker 2: And they're going to throw the ball a lot. So
- 5:16Speaker 2: either or, I guess.
- 5:17Speaker 1: And CeeDee Lamb had a couple of injuries and things
- 5:20Speaker 1: like that that could hamper him. So yeah, it's just weird.
- 5:24Speaker 1: I don't know if I feel like drafting the same
- 5:26Speaker 1: guy again. So that's kind of a tricky spot, but
- 5:28Speaker 1: we'll see what happens. Now, in our buddies league, this
- 5:31Speaker 1: is a random draw that they do. The way we
- 5:33Speaker 1: do it in our work league is based on how
- 5:35Speaker 1: you finish in reverse order, just like the NFL. And
- 5:38Speaker 1: so the better you do, the worse your draft pick
- 5:41Speaker 1: is going to be and vice versa. So in our
- 5:44Speaker 1: buddies league, a little shady, but whatever, he does a
- 5:48Speaker 1: random draw. He videos it and then sends it to
- 5:51Speaker 1: us or whatever. And so in that league, what number
- 5:54Speaker 1: did you draw?
- 5:55Speaker 2: 11.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Ooh.
- 5:56Speaker 2: And I haven't been 11 in forever.
- 5:58Speaker 1: That's an interesting spot.
- 5:59Speaker 2: I don't hate it. I'd rather would have 12, but
- 6:02Speaker 2: I don't hate the back.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Cause then you get.
- 6:03Speaker 2: The, can you, cause then you don't have to think
- 6:05Speaker 2: about great thing about 12 and one.
- 6:07Speaker 3: I never have to worry about somebody after I make
- 6:09Speaker 3: that first pick somebody taking my pick because I can get,
- 6:12Speaker 3: I get two picks. So at, at 12, at 11,
- 6:17Speaker 3: I kind of don't have that.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Worry, but I'm okay.
- 6:19Speaker 1: You got to wait two picks.
- 6:19Speaker 2: But I got to wait two picks, which sucks.
- 6:21Speaker 1: But, But then the worst part is then waiting all
- 6:24Speaker 1: the way.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Down and all the way back.
- 6:26Speaker 1: That's brutal.
- 6:26Speaker 2: It sucks.
- 6:27Speaker 3: But what's cool about it is a guy like Chase Brown,
- 6:31Speaker 3: who I think may have a really big year this year,
- 6:33Speaker 3: as long as Joe Burrow stays healthy, I could take
- 6:36Speaker 3: him at 11 and take the risk at 11.
- 6:38Speaker 2: But for some reason, if I take him at four, it's.
- 6:40Speaker 1: A terrible pick. But don't you think he'd still be
- 6:41Speaker 1: there coming back? I don't think Chase Brown's going in
- 6:44Speaker 1: the first round.
- 6:45Speaker 2: In our league, the one where I'm with my friends,
- 6:48Speaker 2: it's so running back heavy.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Okay.
- 6:50Speaker 2: That's the only thing that worries me. In our work league, yes.
- 6:52Speaker 2: But in our league- Because.
- 6:53Speaker 1: I feel like you could get maybe a James Cook there. Yeah, hopefully.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Because if he's available, or A-Chan, or somebody like that-
- 6:59Speaker 1: Take them. I don't know about James Cook. I don't know.
- 7:01Speaker 1: But you know what I'm saying?
- 7:02Speaker 2: But it's so running back heavy, though, Arlie.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Saquon?
- 7:05Speaker 2: I've been thinking about it, because I think he's going
- 7:07Speaker 2: to be there.
- 7:07Speaker 1: So we'll see. Which is like- If you take Saquon,
- 7:10Speaker 1: I will do a little dance at the draft.
- 7:12Speaker 2: He was not great last year.
- 7:13Speaker 1: No.
- 7:14Speaker 2: I know he rushed for 1,000 yards, but.
- 7:17Speaker 1: How do you feel about a guy like Justin Jefferson,
- 7:19Speaker 1: if he's there?
- 7:20Speaker 3: Again, in the league we're in, it's so running back heavy.
- 7:24Speaker 3: But if we were in a normal league, I would 100%
- 7:27Speaker 3: take Justin Jefferson.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Before last season, he was unbelievable.
- 7:32Speaker 1: He was the number one guy.
- 7:33Speaker 2: And then he had a bad year.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Well, he didn't have a quarterback, though. Now he's got
- 7:37Speaker 1: Kyler Murray. I don't know if Kyler Murray's the answer,
- 7:39Speaker 1: but he's better than what they had.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, he could go off at any moment.
- 7:44Speaker 1: I mean, honestly, Amon Ray C. Brown might be there.
- 7:46Speaker 1: You might be there. I mean, you never know. And
- 7:49Speaker 1: so what number did I draw in that league? I
- 7:52Speaker 1: got nine again.
- 7:53Speaker 2: See, that sucks.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Nine again.
- 7:54Speaker 3: I like the fact that I'm going to have four
- 7:57Speaker 3: and 11 because I'm going to have two totally different teams.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Totally different. Wildly different.
- 7:59Speaker 2: You're basically going to have the same team.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Well, I don't want that, though. Yeah, I know. I
- 8:02Speaker 1: don't want the same team.
- 8:03Speaker 2: That sucks.
- 8:04Speaker 1: That's part of it. Because if one guy does bad
- 8:07Speaker 1: or multiple guys do bad or get hurt or whatever,
- 8:11Speaker 1: I have to make a concerted effort of I want
- 8:13Speaker 1: to draft different teams.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:15Speaker 1: But it's hard being in that position.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Because you're just going to draft the best available.
- 8:18Speaker 1: You want to, you know, I want to be smart
- 8:19Speaker 1: about it because I don't want to pass up on, say,
- 8:22Speaker 1: Amon Rossi-Brown if he's available. Yeah. If he's there, because
- 8:26Speaker 1: I do believe he's going to have a good year. But,
- 8:27Speaker 1: I mean, I don't want the same team. Yeah. So, dude, I'm, like,
- 8:32Speaker 1: really upset that this happened. But, of course, that's my luck. Yeah,
- 8:35Speaker 1: that sucks. And then in my third league, if I
- 8:37Speaker 1: draw randomly nine again, I might just quit. I mean, honestly,
- 8:40Speaker 1: that's just so ridiculous. That would be wild. At three?
- 8:43Speaker 1: leagues all random except for one, be nine? The spot nine?
- 8:48Speaker 1: That would be crazy.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Yeah, that would be crazy.
- 8:49Speaker 1: So I'll let you know next week what spot I get.
- 8:51Speaker 2: You'd have to draft a different guy.
- 8:53Speaker 1: No, I wouldn't. I would quit, honestly. It's so stupid.
- 8:57Speaker 1: So every year we like to kind of take you
- 9:00Speaker 1: through our thought process through the draft and things like that.
- 9:03Speaker 1: And then also go over some sleeper guys. Some guys, again,
- 9:07Speaker 1: not the big name guys. Obviously, we know who we
- 9:10Speaker 1: think are going to do really well. But a couple
- 9:11Speaker 1: of guys, you know, think about in a little bit
- 9:13Speaker 1: later rounds and stuff like that. And then we'll also
- 9:15Speaker 1: give you somebody who we aren't touching. somebody who we're
- 9:18Speaker 1: going to avoid the plague. And for whatever, it could
- 9:21Speaker 1: be personal reasons. You might just be like, you know what,
- 9:24Speaker 1: I'm not.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Daniel Jones.
- 9:25Speaker 1: I'm not drafting Daniel Jones because you just hate him.
- 9:27Speaker 1: So it could be something like that. So let's go
- 9:29Speaker 1: through this. Let's go ahead and talk about, first of all,
- 9:32Speaker 1: what you're kind of thinking strategy-wise and then what you're
- 9:35Speaker 1: thinking sleeper-wise.
- 9:36Speaker 3: So two years ago, I decided I'm going running back heavy,
- 9:40Speaker 3: running back, running back, I don't care.
- 9:42Speaker 1: And it took me far.
- 9:43Speaker 2: And I won one of the leagues.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Last year, I decided I want to do best player available.
- 9:48Speaker 2: And it was not the best strategy.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Didn't you take Malik Neighbors last year?
- 9:50Speaker 2: I took Neighbors.
- 9:51Speaker 3: I got screwed by injuries last year in the league
- 9:53Speaker 3: we're in. I got Neighbors towards ACL. Brock Bauer sprained
- 9:58Speaker 3: his MCL. Joe Burrow got hurt. Najee Harris tore his Achilles.
- 10:02Speaker 3: And I swear there was somebody else.
- 10:03Speaker 1: That got hurt. Every one of your guys.
- 10:05Speaker 2: It was like your top six guys.
- 10:07Speaker 3: My top six guys all got hurt. So this year,
- 10:10Speaker 3: I'm probably going to stick with the running back, running
- 10:13Speaker 3: back thing again.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Even in PPR? Yeah.
- 10:15Speaker 2: That's surprising.
- 10:16Speaker 3: There's just such a, to me, there's such a after
- 10:20Speaker 3: that second tier running back, there's such a fall off.
- 10:23Speaker 3: Like I could still like, listen, am I going to get,
- 10:25Speaker 3: if I get Justin Jefferson, my chances of getting 30
- 10:27Speaker 3: points a game are every game more than more so than,
- 10:31Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 10:31Speaker 2: I don't, I'm trying to think of a second tier
- 10:33Speaker 2: wide receiver, like more so than a Mika Abupa, but
- 10:35Speaker 2: at least like.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Of all people, I don't say a name that you
- 10:38Speaker 1: can pronounce God, but.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Like, but at least like, I'm going to have some
- 10:45Speaker 3: production from the wide receiver. Once you miss that second
- 10:47Speaker 3: tier running backs, there's like, it's tough. There's like no perception.
- 10:49Speaker 2: We get Tajay Spears, you know?
- 10:52Speaker 3: And also my strategy this year too, is not to
- 10:55Speaker 3: get caught up in the flavors of the month. Like
- 10:58Speaker 3: there's so many flavors of the month. Christian, who's going
- 11:01Speaker 3: to be the next Jax Smith and Jigba. That's what
- 11:02Speaker 3: everybody keeps saying. Is it Christian Watson? Is it Jamison Williams?
- 11:06Speaker 3: And I'm just like, is it a Marian Hampton? Like every,
- 11:09Speaker 3: and everyone just drafts those guys. I want to stick
- 11:12Speaker 3: with guys who I know are going to get production.
- 11:13Speaker 1: I yell every time somebody drafts a guy like that
- 11:14Speaker 1: too high. I yell out, magazine pick. It's true. I
- 11:18Speaker 1: do it every time. It's true. And everybody laughs.
- 11:20Speaker 2: Yeah. Like Jalen Waddle. You know you're going to get
- 11:24Speaker 2: production out of him.
- 11:25Speaker 1: He's going to get hurt.
- 11:26Speaker 3: But how much production are you going to get? Is
- 11:28Speaker 3: it going to be that much more than the last
- 11:30Speaker 3: five years of his career? Because I hear people saying
- 11:32Speaker 3: he's going to have a monster year.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Monster year?
- 11:33Speaker 2: And it's just like, really?
- 11:34Speaker 1: Okay, maybe.
- 11:36Speaker 3: So it's just, I'm trying to stick with guys who
- 11:39Speaker 3: I know are going to get production.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I usually try to avoid rookies. Because it's very
- 11:47Speaker 1: rare rookies have big seasons.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Like a Jeremiah Love you wouldn't take.
- 11:51Speaker 1: No, no, I wouldn't, which you'll get into in a minute. But, yeah,
- 11:55Speaker 1: I don't love rookie production most of the time. Now,
- 11:59Speaker 1: you'll hit every once in a while with a Brock
- 12:00Speaker 1: Bowers or somebody like that, but it's very rare.
- 12:03Speaker 3: But look at last year, Marion Hampton. People drafted him
- 12:05Speaker 3: in the first round. He got hurt, wasn't great.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, these things can happen. And so I
- 12:12Speaker 1: tend to... stay away from rookies and things like that.
- 12:15Speaker 1: But that's, that's always my personal strategy and stuff like that.
- 12:18Speaker 1: But there may be a guy out there that you love.
- 12:20Speaker 1: If I'm going to draft a rookie, it's going to
- 12:21Speaker 1: be late. And I'm going to take a flyer on
- 12:23Speaker 1: a guy and see like, maybe this guy goes off.
- 12:25Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 12:25Speaker 1: We'll see what happens. All right. Who are your sleepers?
- 12:28Speaker 2: So I have three.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Oh my God.
- 12:30Speaker 2: I know I should only have one. My actual sleep.
- 12:32Speaker 1: If you start taking these guys, I'm going to make
- 12:34Speaker 1: fun of you. Just so you know, my.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Actual real sleeper is Blake Corum.
- 12:38Speaker 3: And here's why I, Last year, towards the end of
- 12:41Speaker 3: the season, it was like a dead 50-50 split with
- 12:44Speaker 3: him and Kyron Williams, and I just feel like that
- 12:47Speaker 3: team's going to score a lot, and they're going to
- 12:49Speaker 3: run the ball a lot, especially if Puka gets suspended,
- 12:51Speaker 3: and I just feel like eventually Blake Horham may take over.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I like Blake Horham a lot, too. He would
- 12:56Speaker 1: be one of my sleepers as well. He ran for
- 12:58Speaker 1: 746 yards and six touchdowns last year. That's really good
- 13:01Speaker 1: production for a backup.
- 13:03Speaker 3: For a backup, and I just feel like they drafted
- 13:05Speaker 3: him on the third round a couple years ago.
- 13:07Speaker 2: I just feel like Harbaugh guy.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:10Speaker 2: So Sean McVay likes him. I just have a good
- 13:12Speaker 2: feeling about Blake Corham.
- 13:14Speaker 3: My other two sleepers are going to kind of go
- 13:16Speaker 3: against my thought process. My thought process is I used
- 13:20Speaker 3: to think if they're a starter, I want them. But
- 13:23Speaker 3: if they're a starter on a bad team, bad teams
- 13:25Speaker 3: suck in fantasy. So like Quint, what's his name? Judkins,
- 13:30Speaker 3: the running back.
- 13:31Speaker 1: I'm not drafting him. Quayshawn. The Browns are terrible. Okay.
- 13:35Speaker 2: I'm not drafting him. I'm not drafting Trey McBride. The
- 13:38Speaker 2: Cardinals are going to be terrible.
- 13:39Speaker 1: That's a mistake. You think so? Dude, I had Trey
- 13:42Speaker 1: McBride last year, and he almost won me the league.
- 13:45Speaker 1: He had that much production. So tight end-wise, he's going
- 13:48Speaker 1: to get his catches. He's going to get his catches.
- 13:50Speaker 1: And if you're PPR, there's better examples. I know what
- 13:52Speaker 1: you're talking about. But Trey McBride, he's better than... So
- 13:58Speaker 1: he's like bad team proof. Yes. He's that good.
- 14:00Speaker 2: I'll accept that. But for me, I don't think they're
- 14:04Speaker 2: going to win a lot of games. Maybe six, maybe seven.
- 14:08Speaker 1: The jets oh no i don't know but i went six.
- 14:11Speaker 3: Uh but their offensive line is good so breeze hall
- 14:15Speaker 3: and garrett wilson because gino smith i know he had
- 14:17Speaker 3: a bad year with the raiders last year i'm looking
- 14:19Speaker 3: at it as like as if the raiders were terrible
- 14:22Speaker 3: and not gino with this offensive line i feel like
- 14:24Speaker 3: the jets offense is actually going to score a little
- 14:27Speaker 3: bit and if you can get breeze hall and garrett
- 14:30Speaker 3: wilson the third and fourth rounds i think that's really
- 14:32Speaker 3: good i think they're going.
- 14:33Speaker 1: To put up some But you just said you stay
- 14:35Speaker 1: away from bad teams.
- 14:36Speaker 2: I know. That's my one caveat are those two guys.
- 14:38Speaker 1: I'm so confused.
- 14:39Speaker 2: That's my one caveat are those two guys.
- 14:41Speaker 1: You can have them.
- 14:42Speaker 2: I'm not drafting anybody on the Titans. Like, that's crazy.
- 14:44Speaker 2: I'm not doing that.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Okay.
- 14:47Speaker 2: I'm not drafting Cornel Tate or Tony Pollard. Not doing it. Okay.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Tony Pollard's had 1,000 yards like the last four years.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Here's why. It's been impressive.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Brian Dayball never has good running backs.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Oh, here we go. His offenses don't run the ball.
- 15:00Speaker 1: You had to work the Giants in somehow.
- 15:02Speaker 2: I mean, he's the offense coordinator.
- 15:03Speaker 1: I like Cam Scadaboo. That guy's awesome.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll see this year.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Oh, you're not a believer? Of all people?
- 15:10Speaker 2: I like Scadaboo. I just think Najee Harris could take
- 15:13Speaker 2: the job.
- 15:13Speaker 1: No chance. Okay. I'm a Scadaboo man.
- 15:16Speaker 2: I like Scadaboo.
- 15:17Speaker 1: I love him. I love him. He's nuts. Yeah. But
- 15:19Speaker 1: the way he plays, he's going to get hurt again.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Yeah, and I just think that I could see them
- 15:23Speaker 2: doing a lot.
- 15:24Speaker 3: Of 60-40 splits. I don't think it's going to be
- 15:28Speaker 3: full Scadaboo. I like to go full Scadaboo.
- 15:32Speaker 1: I'm a full Scataboo guy.
- 15:33Speaker 3: I know, but I don't know if I would draft.
- 15:35Speaker 3: They've really tried to replace him. I don't think it's
- 15:37Speaker 3: going to be like he's the guy.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:39Speaker 2: I don't think so.
- 15:40Speaker 1: I think he's like a touchdown, sneaky touchdown guy. Yeah.
- 15:43Speaker 1: You know, he may score you some points that way,
- 15:44Speaker 1: but yeah, I wouldn't feed him the rock.
- 15:45Speaker 2: No.
- 15:46Speaker 1: You know, 30 times a game. I think that's ridiculous.
- 15:48Speaker 1: All right. My sleeper pick is in the wide receiver realm.
- 15:52Speaker 1: It's a guy who has a new team, free agent signing,
- 15:55Speaker 1: and you might be going, but Eddie, they also got A.J. Brown.
- 15:59Speaker 1: You're right. Talk about the Patriots. Yeah. Talk about Romeo Dobbs. Yeah.
- 16:02Speaker 1: I like Romeo Dobbs this year. Sneaky pick.
- 16:05Speaker 2: He's a good receiver.
- 16:05Speaker 1: And what happens with A.J. Brown every year? He disappears.
- 16:09Speaker 1: He gets hurt.
- 16:09Speaker 2: He'll have games where he doesn't catch the ball.
- 16:11Speaker 1: There are games where he'll go off. He'll be great.
- 16:13Speaker 1: He'll catch nine for whatever, 150 yards. Great. And then
- 16:17Speaker 1: there are games where, what? Did A.J. Brown play? Like,
- 16:19Speaker 1: what the heck happened? Romeo Dobbs. Sneaky. Yeah, you're right.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Because if you don't get... If A.J. Brown doesn't get
- 16:24Speaker 2: the ball immediately, he just shuts down.
- 16:26Speaker 1: And he pouts.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Yeah, and he pouts. But Romeo Dobbs, he.
- 16:30Speaker 1: He was good for the Packers.
- 16:31Speaker 3: He'd be a good bench guy or flex position player.
- 16:35Speaker 1: And just, again, don't draft him high. I'm not saying
- 16:38Speaker 1: don't any of these guys. We're not saying get super high.
- 16:41Speaker 1: But if you get a Dobbs late and you see
- 16:43Speaker 1: he's still on the board, you're like, okay, I'll take
- 16:45Speaker 1: a flyer on him. That's where I'm looking at right there.
- 16:47Speaker 3: I get that.
- 16:47Speaker 1: All right, who's the guy you're going to avoid?
- 16:49Speaker 3: My guy I'm avoiding. And I know that the Chiefs
- 16:52Speaker 3: spent a lot of money on him. And I know
- 16:54Speaker 3: he was a Super Bowl MVP. And I know that.
- 16:59Speaker 2: He's basically the guy there. I'm not touching Kenneth Walker
- 17:02Speaker 2: in the first round.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Why do you hate Kenneth Walker?
- 17:03Speaker 2: I don't hate him.
- 17:04Speaker 1: You do. We've been arguing about this almost all offseason.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Here's why.
- 17:07Speaker 1: I love Kenneth Walker. He's always hurt.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Not always.
- 17:10Speaker 1: He's hurt a lot.
- 17:11Speaker 2: He's always hurt.
- 17:12Speaker 3: And when was the last time the Chiefs had a
- 17:14Speaker 3: good running game? Their offense is centered around Patrick Mahomes
- 17:18Speaker 3: throwing the ball.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Because they haven't had a good back.
- 17:21Speaker 3: But even when they were scoring a lot, Andy Reid
- 17:26Speaker 3: doesn't have good run games.
- 17:27Speaker 2: He just hasn't.
- 17:28Speaker 1: He will now.
- 17:28Speaker 3: So until I see it, I don't believe it. And
- 17:33Speaker 3: if I do get Kenneth Walker, you have to draft
- 17:36Speaker 3: his backup.
- 17:37Speaker 1: He's not always hurt. He's not always hurt.
- 17:39Speaker 2: I mean, he's hurt a lot. So I'm not touching
- 17:43Speaker 2: Kenneth Walker.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Wow, that's crazy. I'm also staying in the running background.
- 17:46Speaker 1: I mentioned it earlier. I'm not a big proponent with rookies.
- 17:49Speaker 1: And so I know everybody thinks Jeremiah Love, he's the
- 17:53Speaker 1: greatest running back ever to come out. And, you know,
- 17:56Speaker 1: this is, oh, the Arizona Cardinals are going to be
- 17:57Speaker 1: the greatest team ever because of Jeremiah Love. Pump the brakes.
- 18:00Speaker 3: You see, after the first preseason game, they were saying,
- 18:03Speaker 3: who does he look like? And everybody was saying Adrian Peterson.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Oh, geez, give me a minute. Dude, he's good. He's
- 18:07Speaker 1: a great player. Don't get me twisted. I'm just saying fantasy-wise,
- 18:11Speaker 1: year one. If you're expecting this guy to have Adrian
- 18:15Speaker 1: Peterson-type numbers, like, relax. He, first of all, is already hurt.
- 18:19Speaker 2: And he's on a bad team.
- 18:20Speaker 1: He's already hurt. And he's on a horrible team with
- 18:22Speaker 1: a horrible offensive line.
- 18:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:24Speaker 1: And doesn't really have a passing game. No. So they're
- 18:26Speaker 1: going to feed him the rock, sure. But then what
- 18:28Speaker 1: are defenses going to do? They're going to be built
- 18:31Speaker 1: to stop the running game. Yeah. So I just, I
- 18:33Speaker 1: think he's going to be fine. And I think if
- 18:36Speaker 1: you have him on your team, he'll be good. But
- 18:38Speaker 1: I just don't think he's worthy of a first-round pick.
- 18:41Speaker 1: I personally wouldn't take him in the second round. Me.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Kind of like a Brees Hall, like third round.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Maybe, but I mean, I know he's going to go
- 18:48Speaker 1: higher than that. I just know it. I know people
- 18:50Speaker 1: are going to see the name, know how he got drafted,
- 18:52Speaker 1: and just they're going to take him high. But at me,
- 18:54Speaker 1: I'm avoiding him.
- 18:55Speaker 2: So to piggyback off of that, bad team, bad offensive line.
- 18:59Speaker 2: He does have production, new coach. Where are you at
- 19:02Speaker 2: with Devon H on?
- 19:03Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, he's kind of all they have. And
- 19:06Speaker 1: you're right. But they've been bad, and he still produces.
- 19:11Speaker 1: So for some reason, he may be, again, bad team
- 19:14Speaker 1: proof or whatever. But I don't know. He's one I'm
- 19:18Speaker 1: not really sure. It's risky. It's risky. I know. Also,
- 19:21Speaker 1: I'm a little iffy about Javante Williams, who had an
- 19:25Speaker 1: incredible year last year with Dallas. Can he do two
- 19:28Speaker 1: in a row?
- 19:28Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Because, I mean, he kind of came out of nowhere.
- 19:31Speaker 1: I had him on my team, and I drafted him.
- 19:33Speaker 1: In almost one of the last rounds.
- 19:35Speaker 3: It was kind of like he went to Dallas and
- 19:36Speaker 3: he's kind of ending his career there because he kind of,
- 19:39Speaker 3: after that knee injury, fell off in Denver.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Yeah. I just didn't think he was going to have
- 19:43Speaker 1: the year he did. I did draft him, but can
- 19:47Speaker 1: he do it two years in a row is my question. Yeah.
- 19:49Speaker 1: And so we'll see. But there, there's a, you know,
- 19:52Speaker 1: it's some interesting guys out there that I just, I
- 19:56Speaker 1: don't know, personal reasons, you know, it gets you, gets
- 19:58Speaker 1: you concerned, but there you have it. So we're going
- 20:01Speaker 1: to go through three drafts before our next show, which
- 20:04Speaker 1: will be day, the opening day. of the NFL season.
- 20:07Speaker 1: So we'll go over everything that we did in our drafts,
- 20:10Speaker 1: see the wild things that people do.
- 20:12Speaker 3: And think about it, a week from today, it's the
- 20:14Speaker 3: next fantasy show and the NFL season.
- 20:16Speaker 1: It's the beginning.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Because there's a game on a Wednesday.
- 20:18Speaker 1: It's day one. Yeah, it's going to happen. So good
- 20:20Speaker 1: luck with all your drafts and we'll let you know
- 20:22Speaker 1: how we did as well next week.
