- 0:11spectrum, your autism Ambassador, Daniel Morgan Jones.
- 0:19Guys, in this week I want to talk about autism and ADHD and
- 0:21like coping with like all Christian change because these
- 0:24are something that really effects people on the autism
- 0:26spectrum, especially people with ADHD.
- 0:28Let's get into it guys. What is going on?

- 0:44to today's video sponsor which is Superman Supra Focus now this
- 0:48is a food supplement. You take 2 tablets and it's
- 0:51designed to help increase the tension span and focus, mental
- 0:54clarity and sharp memory which people on the Alton spectrum
- 0:58with EDHD do have a lot of time myself do suffer from like lack
- 1:01of concentration and focus with things like that.
- 1:03So Superman super focus is highly recommended for people
- 1:06like that. Or if you take any supplements,
- 1:08even food supplements then talking to your doctor first

- 1:22this will be down below so make sure check out.
- 1:23So thank you guys for sponsoring this video.
- 1:25Okay guys. So I wanted to do this video
- 1:27because focus is a huge issue, right?
- 1:30Because autism and ADHD have this kind of like clashing of of
- 1:34Titans, if you will, where you'll have ADHD wanted to do
- 1:37all this crazy kind of stuff and you've got autism wants to sit
- 1:39down and just do one thing and it crashes against each other.
- 1:42But there are ways in which you can improve upon this and I'm
- 1:45going to do it right now in this video.
- 1:46So the first thing I'm going to talk about right now is creating
- 1:48a routine and structured routine.
- 1:50And establishing structured routine can help somebody stick
- 1:54to going on tasks. Like if you if you don't have a
- 1:58plan of action or a routine of action to execute something that
- 2:01you need to do, like a task or something that you, you know,
- 2:04you need to paint your shed or you need to sit down and write
- 2:07your book or you need to do some work.
- 2:09If you don't have a plan of action, how are you going to do
- 2:10that? Then your ADHD brain will be
- 2:12like, soon as you sit down, you have to do your task.
- 2:14ADHD will just kick in and go, all right, let's get up and, you
- 2:17know, watch cartoons or let's go and like, do something crazy,
- 2:19right? Because that is basically what
- 2:22the frame wants to do, wants to pull you in all directions.
- 2:23But if you have a structured routine, you have it in front of
- 2:25you that will tell you to keep on track, keep on focus, and
- 2:29keep doing that thing. OK, so #2 is to break down those
- 2:32tasks. Now this is a hack for
- 2:34organizing the thing that you're going to do.
- 2:36So you know your plan of action. You've got like, you know, step
- 2:38one is that paint the shed, let it dry, put the door on and
- 2:44drill the base to the floor, right.
- 2:47Each one of those tasks needs breaking down.
- 2:49So the paint, where do we get the paint from?
- 2:50I need to get the paint from the store.
- 2:52I need to get a paintbrush and make sure I've got all of the
- 2:54mats available so I know exactly what I'm going to do.
- 2:56Every task needs to be detailed breakdown to a smaller portion
- 2:59of a task within it. So phase one is to get the
- 3:01paint, what, what is in there? Break that down.
- 3:04It's all the steps you need to get the paint.
- 3:05Get money out of the bank. You will find my credit card,
- 3:07You know, drive to the store. Everything that you need to do,
- 3:10structure it. Because without that structure
- 3:12you have no focus. With no focus, we're going to
- 3:14stay on task. Super important.
- 3:16OK, so #3 is providing a quiet workspace.
- 3:19A lot of the time. Attention to focus and stay on
- 3:22track with something is majorly war because we can't stay on
- 3:25task because our mind is is looking at the the picture on
- 3:28the wall or the the cool like bottle I have my desk or like
- 3:32you know anything other than the task at hand.
- 3:34If you have a nice, clean, private, quiet working
- 3:37environment, you'll have a greater success of sitting down
- 3:40to actually do the thing you want to do.
- 3:42And this goes anywhere, including if you're trying to
- 3:44sleep, you know, if you're trying to eat, everything needs
- 3:46its place. Like a bedroom is a place where
- 3:48you go to sleep, so there should be anything else in there to
- 3:50distract you. You know your office should be a
- 3:52place to work, so there should be only things in there that you
- 3:53need to work with. Super important.
- 3:55So #4 is visual aids. Now this is kind of going off
- 3:59the first two and creating those ideas of all the plans on that
- 4:03structure into visual aids. You could use like emojis to
- 4:06create a visual aid. You could use an app, you could
- 4:08use a calendar, you can use checklist, you can use A to do
- 4:11list as long as you have it visually in front of you.
- 4:13It's going to make a reference point for you to refer back to
- 4:16when you are creating those individual executions.
- 4:20So when you're like OK for the honesty little stuff I've been
- 4:23take, you know what I mean. Like you need to see that
- 4:25because what also happens for ADHD and autism brains is when
- 4:28you take a task off the list, create dopamine.
- 4:31And that, my friends, is what we're all after.
- 4:33There's a #5 something I've spoken about quite a lot,
- 4:35especially my Instagram. So if you haven't already
- 4:37followed me on my Instagram, go to Instagram and type in the
- 4:40aspy world and you just follow me on Instagram and tick tock.
- 4:44Now I do videos on these channels.
- 4:45I do videos on TikTok and Instagram about smaller issues
- 4:49that I can help in, you know, a couple of minutes or a minute or
- 4:52so. And one of the big ones is
- 4:53mindfulness. Now if you practice mindfulness,
- 4:55you'll be able to actually attain a lot of self-discipline
- 4:58and going, OK now I need to sit down and do a task or hey, now I
- 5:01need to go and do this XY and Z thing.
- 5:04So guys, with that I want to know do you have anything to add
- 5:09to this puppet? And comment down below.
- 5:10Give this video a like and I'll see you in the next one guys.
