- 0:17Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox. Call in about anything.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Does it have to be what we're talking about, whatever's
- 0:29Speaker 1: on your mind? Ask us anything.
- 0:33Speaker 3: Don't ask me anything about the first episode of Estorious
- 0:36Speaker 3: season three that I haven't seen yet. I also have
- 0:39Speaker 3: not seen the untold on the Jailblazers yet, so don't
- 0:43Speaker 3: ask any questions about that necessarily, although we can ask
- 0:45Speaker 3: David Stodter. I have plenty of those questions.
- 0:47Speaker 4: Yes, he will join us in hour number two.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Ian Rappaport will join us in about fifteen minutes to
- 0:52Speaker 1: get us ready for the NFL Draft. Taylor wrote me
- 0:56Speaker 1: a note today saying this is the worst Yankees team
- 1:00Speaker 1: his lifetime.
- 1:00Speaker 5: Not worse.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Yeah, my least favorite, your least favorite last week it
- 1:05Speaker 1: was your favorite.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Never He just wrote that down on a piece of
- 1:08Speaker 3: paper and just handed it to you.
- 1:09Speaker 1: He does that occasionally, Yes he does. But me and
- 1:15Speaker 1: Taylor are very excited today. Really well, yeah, we have
- 1:18Speaker 1: Ian Rappaport, we have David Stotdommeaiyer, but we also have
- 1:23Speaker 1: someone who is willing to set the table the NBA
- 1:28Speaker 1: play in games or tonight they start tonight, the play
- 1:31Speaker 1: in Tournament. I told Taylor before we got started here,
- 1:35Speaker 1: that is he wanted to set the table for the.
- 1:39Speaker 4: NBA play In Tournament.
- 1:40Speaker 1: And he got equally as excited as I did when
- 1:43Speaker 1: you told it to me, is he?
- 1:44Speaker 4: How about that?
- 1:45Speaker 3: It's so crazy. You gotta be careful with the phrases.
- 1:47Speaker 3: The youth around here, the things that gets you gots excited.
- 1:51Speaker 3: I was looking for a throwaway away to explain how
- 1:54Speaker 3: you know we're going to talk about these playing games,
- 1:56Speaker 3: And as soon as I said set the table, the
- 1:58Speaker 3: man got super excited.
- 1:59Speaker 1: I wrote it down. Look, I circled it. Look the
- 2:03Speaker 1: parentheses set the table. Well whatever, it's semicircle.
- 2:07Speaker 6: So admittedly today I'm very distracted because I've got this
- 2:10Speaker 6: Liverpool Champions League game about to kick off, big Champions
- 2:15Speaker 6: League night in Anfield. But the second I heard Stu
- 2:18Speaker 6: Gotts mutter the words set the table, I perked up
- 2:22Speaker 6: and I said I took off one headphone. I say,
- 2:24Speaker 6: what did you say?
- 2:26Speaker 4: Yeah? Yeah, you heard me correctly.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I know you're at Liverpool guy.
- 2:28Speaker 6: Yes, no, yep, up the Reds?
- 2:30Speaker 4: So is up Board out Ricardo? I mean, you guys
- 2:32Speaker 4: are kindred spirits.
- 2:35Speaker 7: I'm actually rooting for PSG, a team they're playing. Yeah,
- 2:38Speaker 7: I'm a diehard PSG guy.
- 2:39Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, I'm just rooting for action.
- 2:41Speaker 1: I mean, seriously, in any sort of soccer game that
- 2:44Speaker 1: I ever watched, just someone scored more than three goals?
- 2:46Speaker 3: Did you say up the Reds?
- 2:48Speaker 6: Yeap?
- 2:49Speaker 3: What did I say?
- 2:50Speaker 6: Not Chris the Bear, Felico Stu I think is who
- 2:54Speaker 6: you're confusing Board up Ricardo with. He's a Liverpool supporter.
- 2:57Speaker 3: My fault. I think that should be the headline question
- 3:00Speaker 3: of this show. What did I set?
- 3:04Speaker 1: If you were to ask me right now tell me
- 3:06Speaker 1: anything you've said in the first three minutes of this show,
- 3:09Speaker 1: I wouldn't be able to do it. I mean, how
- 3:11Speaker 1: about that set the table? Oh yeah, yes, semi circle.
- 3:17Speaker 1: So without any further ado, is he please? There is
- 3:20Speaker 1: a table to be set. Taylor and I are excited.
- 3:23Speaker 1: We are sitting down for dinner and is he is
- 3:25Speaker 1: going to set the table.
- 3:27Speaker 3: You gotta set the table before you sit down for dinner, right,
- 3:29Speaker 3: that'd be pretty annoying if you sit down to a
- 3:31Speaker 3: blank table and then people start setting it around.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Yes, I guess you're right, we'll set it anyway.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Well, I've been telling Taylor that the Heat's going to
- 3:41Speaker 3: be playing against the Hornets tonight and three officials because
- 3:44Speaker 3: there just seems to be a lot more support for
- 3:48Speaker 3: the Charlotte Hornets, right, Like they're America's team. They're the
- 3:50Speaker 3: team that everybody wants to see because they're a little
- 3:53Speaker 3: bit intriguing, right They've got the kind of wackiness or
- 3:57Speaker 3: the yankiness of lamellow ball, and they've got this kank
- 3:59Speaker 3: nipple guy that everybody wants to know if he's any good.
- 4:01Speaker 1: They're a team in which I think people are excited
- 4:05Speaker 1: about because they play in exciting style of basketball.
- 4:07Speaker 4: They have some stars on that team.
- 4:09Speaker 1: But they're also a team I think of all the
- 4:10Speaker 1: teams involved in the play in tournament, a team that
- 4:13Speaker 1: if they get out of the play in tournament, I
- 4:16Speaker 1: think people feel like maybe they can make a little
- 4:18Speaker 1: tiny run in the Eastern Conference.
- 4:20Speaker 4: Is that fair?
- 4:21Speaker 3: I think it's fair if they see if they're a
- 4:23Speaker 3: team that right now has some confidence, but I don't
- 4:26Speaker 3: think they have playoff level confidence right Like they need
- 4:28Speaker 3: to figure out if their starting lineup, which has since
- 4:33Speaker 3: it's been together has been spectacular, is a real thing
- 4:36Speaker 3: or if it's just kind of a regular season mirage,
- 4:38Speaker 3: especially late in the season. Maybe got a bunch of
- 4:41Speaker 3: games against some you know, teams trying to lose in there,
- 4:44Speaker 3: and so I don't know if they're super confident that
- 4:46Speaker 3: they can even in this game against Miami, because Miami
- 4:49Speaker 3: went into Charlotte earlier this season when Charlotte was at
- 4:51Speaker 3: its hottest and took that game.
- 4:54Speaker 6: When does a teeny tiny runs to become make some noise?
- 4:58Speaker 4: Uh Eastern Conference Finals? Wow?
- 5:00Speaker 6: Right, they have to make the Eastern Conference Finals before
- 5:02Speaker 6: the Hornets can make some noise.
- 5:03Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:04Speaker 3: Yeah, the tiny run is the second round.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Yeah, you get to the second round, you lose, you
- 5:07Speaker 1: win the second round, you get to the Eastern Conference Finals.
- 5:10Speaker 4: You're not expected to be there. Now you're making noise.
- 5:12Speaker 3: I would argue teeny tiny run might be seven games
- 5:15Speaker 3: in the first round as a lower seed, as a
- 5:17Speaker 3: seven or eight seed, that could be a teeny tiny run.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Right, I don't know bord at Ricardo is disagreeing with
- 5:22Speaker 1: everything that I'm saying about Eastern Conference.
- 5:24Speaker 4: Finally, well, why I mean.
- 5:26Speaker 7: I think it was the two thousand and four playoff
- 5:28Speaker 7: run where the Heat made a little run and got
- 5:30Speaker 7: to the second round with Dwayne Wade and we lost
- 5:32Speaker 7: to Indiana Pacers.
- 5:33Speaker 3: I think it's seven.
- 5:34Speaker 4: Yeah, that was the second round.
- 5:36Speaker 7: You know, we made a little run there and he
- 5:37Speaker 7: ended up getting.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Well, that's what I'm saying is a teeny tiny run.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Had they won that series, they would have made some noise.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Actually, you know what I'm kind of with Ricardo here
- 5:45Speaker 3: taking the Pacers take it. So it was an upset
- 5:48Speaker 3: win in the first round against the against the New
- 5:50Speaker 3: Orleans Hornets, and then made some noise by taking the
- 5:54Speaker 3: Pacers to six. And I don't know what stan Van
- 5:57Speaker 3: Gundy was thinking by leaving Dwayne Wade on the bench
- 5:59Speaker 3: or play in Game six where they needed just one
- 6:02Speaker 3: more shot to tie the game. Even though he's not
- 6:04Speaker 3: a three point shooter, he was the Wayne freaking Wade.
- 6:06Speaker 3: But anyway, yeah, I would say that was making a
- 6:07Speaker 3: little noise.
- 6:08Speaker 4: Because it's a playing team.
- 6:10Speaker 1: So if they get to a second round of the
- 6:12Speaker 1: NBA playoffs, they have made some noise. What if it's like,
- 6:15Speaker 1: let's say the Lakers, if they get to the Western
- 6:18Speaker 1: Conference finals, have they made any noise?
- 6:20Speaker 3: Make noise if it's in a place that you expect
- 6:23Speaker 3: to be even if you're seeding. Isn't that right? They're
- 6:25Speaker 3: what a five seed, four seed, so they're really only
- 6:28Speaker 3: expected to get to the second round if they go
- 6:30Speaker 3: one round further. If they're a veteran, confident team, that's
- 6:34Speaker 3: not making noise.
- 6:35Speaker 6: Okay, It definitely depends on your team's expectations. Like if
- 6:38Speaker 6: the Knicks make it to the Eastern Conference finals, that's
- 6:41Speaker 6: not a really a teeny tiny run. They were expecting
- 6:45Speaker 6: to get there. They fired their coach to get there
- 6:47Speaker 6: and take them further. If the Hornets win the play
- 6:51Speaker 6: in and then they take the Pistons to game six
- 6:55Speaker 6: or a game seven, yeah, I think they're making noise.
- 6:57Speaker 4: I think really, oh.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Wow, first round make noise, first round noise. I think
- 7:01Speaker 3: that's the teeny time you run. I don't think that's
- 7:03Speaker 3: making noise. The Knicks, to your point, they can do
- 7:07Speaker 3: neither for these entire playoffs. They can either make they
- 7:09Speaker 3: can make a teeny tiny run. They cannot make a
- 7:12Speaker 3: little bit of noise. They have to win it and
- 7:14Speaker 3: win it all. That's the only thing they can know.
- 7:15Speaker 4: They make it to the NBA finals, they've made some noise.
- 7:18Speaker 4: They have they made.
- 7:19Speaker 3: They just matched expectations if they make it to the NBA.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Listen, I am glad we are defining these things because
- 7:25Speaker 1: we need to, because sports radio has not yet done this,
- 7:27Speaker 1: and I am the commissioner up sports Radio and I'm
- 7:30Speaker 1: telling you we need to do it, and we're doing
- 7:32Speaker 1: it right now.
- 7:32Speaker 4: We're setting the table. So, Taylor, what do you have
- 7:35Speaker 4: for us on this front?
- 7:37Speaker 6: If the Knicks make the finals. Yeah, not only will
- 7:40Speaker 6: the Knicks be making some noise, We're gonna be making
- 7:43Speaker 6: sure you hear us making some noise.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Well that's what is he is protecting against, right, Yeah,
- 7:48Speaker 1: the tleis it's not a big deal, you know.
- 7:50Speaker 3: No, I think they made some noise last year getting
- 7:53Speaker 3: to the conference finals first time in twenty five years.
- 7:56Speaker 3: You fire your coach with the expectation of getting to
- 7:59Speaker 3: the finals. That's not making noise. You can't be surprising people.
- 8:02Speaker 3: And when you're making noise, it's because you're surprising people.
- 8:05Speaker 3: It's not because people are matching expectations.
- 8:07Speaker 1: So it seems that it's based on where your position
- 8:10Speaker 1: this year, what you did a year ago.
- 8:13Speaker 4: So let me ask you this.
- 8:15Speaker 1: If the Hawks make it to the Eastern Conference finals,
- 8:18Speaker 1: teeny tiny run or making noise, that's.
- 8:21Speaker 3: Making a lot of noise. I mean, I would argue
- 8:24Speaker 3: the Hawks have already made their teeny tiny run because they.
- 8:27Speaker 4: Just making it to the playoffs.
- 8:28Speaker 3: They got into the playoffs getting the seed they could
- 8:31Speaker 3: have had a five seed. They were very close to that.
- 8:33Speaker 3: So yeah, I would say they're in the middle of
- 8:35Speaker 3: a teeny tiny run. If they get to the conference finals,
- 8:37Speaker 3: that is making some noise.
- 8:39Speaker 6: What about the Pistons. If the Pistons make the finals,
- 8:41Speaker 6: they're the one seed, so you would assume that's not
- 8:44Speaker 6: really making noise. If they make the finals expected, but
- 8:47Speaker 6: it's a team that really hasn't been there recently.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Question, So I would say, yes, they're making noise because
- 8:53Speaker 3: they are resetting their expectations with a guy coming back,
- 8:56Speaker 3: their leader coming back from a collapse lung. When you
- 8:59Speaker 3: have the will is read type of scenario, right, your
- 9:02Speaker 3: star is whatever under the weather, injured or something not
- 9:05Speaker 3: and you are going further than you thought you would
- 9:08Speaker 3: with an injured star. It's one hundred percent making noise. Huh,
- 9:11Speaker 3: Like when who was it? I think it was the
- 9:14Speaker 3: Celtics team without Kevin Garnett made a second round that
- 9:18Speaker 3: felt like a teeny tiny run. But there've definitely been
- 9:20Speaker 3: players or teams that have made noise with like injured
- 9:24Speaker 3: or less than one hundred percent players because it lowers
- 9:26Speaker 3: your expectations. So yes, they could still make a run.
- 9:28Speaker 1: We have a phone call for is he here? Russell
- 9:30Speaker 1: and Phoenix? Go ahead, you're on Fox Sports Radio.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Hey, what's up, guys?
- 9:35Speaker 3: I just thought i'd take advantage of Stu Gotts.
- 9:38Speaker 6: You're offering to call in about anything.
- 9:40Speaker 3: Yeah, kind of a health question for you. Have you
- 9:43Speaker 3: been diagnosed or do you have any like, you know,
- 9:47Speaker 3: formal disorder with the chronic fake laugh thing.
- 9:49Speaker 6: I was worried about your health.
- 9:53Speaker 1: I thought you wanted to call in about Phoenix. I
- 9:55Speaker 1: mean you had an MBA question for Isy. I didn't
- 9:58Speaker 1: even know what health is you? What is he talking
- 10:00Speaker 1: about it?
- 10:00Speaker 3: It's fairly just making fun of the fact that you
- 10:02Speaker 3: laugh all the time.
- 10:03Speaker 6: Your cash all right, Sorry, I'm funny.
- 10:07Speaker 1: I mean, listen, I am sorry that Taylor and Izzy
- 10:10Speaker 1: are so funny they made me laugh on a daily basis.
- 10:12Speaker 4: I am sorry for enjoying my job.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I am sorry that we're talking about sports, and sports
- 10:17Speaker 1: make me makes me laugh because we're talking about setting
- 10:19Speaker 1: the table and someone pays me a lot of money
- 10:22Speaker 1: to do this, and so that's why I.
- 10:23Speaker 4: Laugh so much. I'm laughing all the way to the bank.
- 10:27Speaker 3: What would be the medication to get you to stop
- 10:29Speaker 3: fake laughing?
- 10:31Speaker 4: No money?
- 10:32Speaker 6: That's a classic call screen though, where it's where he
- 10:34Speaker 6: says he's got an NBA question.
- 10:36Speaker 4: I should be I should be applauding Russell.
- 10:39Speaker 1: I should he got through the screener he had an
- 10:42Speaker 1: NBA question for.
- 10:43Speaker 4: Is he and really he did it? What he was
- 10:45Speaker 4: doing was just taking a shot at my health. I mean, hey, is.
- 10:48Speaker 6: The first time long time? What do you think about
- 10:49Speaker 6: Devin Booker this playoffs?
- 10:52Speaker 3: I believe you invented that move right of squeaking by
- 10:54Speaker 3: the call screener and you know, saying that things in
- 10:57Speaker 3: Spanish are actually something else. That was Mark Cockman, it was.
- 11:00Speaker 1: I've also myself called into many a sports radio show
- 11:04Speaker 1: telling him I wanted to discuss one thing and came
- 11:07Speaker 1: out with another. I mean, that's it's classic sports radio
- 11:09Speaker 1: caller stuff. Is he you know that you've called in
- 11:11Speaker 1: the shows before?
- 11:12Speaker 3: Haven't you you know what that color did?
- 11:13Speaker 4: Well?
- 11:13Speaker 3: Made a little noise?
- 11:15Speaker 1: Have you properly set the table here? Do you know.
- 11:21Speaker 4: What else?
- 11:22Speaker 3: I'll try to? All Right, so let's just say from
- 11:25Speaker 3: this of this game, in this Charlotte Miami situation anyway,
- 11:31Speaker 3: go sorry, that was good with Jarry. Guys, it was
- 11:36Speaker 3: which one of these two teams? Would you say you'd
- 11:38Speaker 3: say the Hornets have the more probable roster to make
- 11:42Speaker 3: some noise?
- 11:42Speaker 4: Right?
- 11:44Speaker 5: Yes?
- 11:45Speaker 3: I think with the Miami Heat. The only thing that's
- 11:48Speaker 3: interesting is they have more experience in this type of game.
- 11:52Speaker 3: They might throw things at lamellow Ball that he might
- 11:55Speaker 3: not have seen all season. Not to say that he
- 11:56Speaker 3: won't be able to adjust to it, but in a
- 11:58Speaker 3: one game scenario, you're talking about a team adjusting on
- 12:01Speaker 3: the fly, and you know they're probably prepared for just
- 12:04Speaker 3: about anything. But that's what I love about these play
- 12:07Speaker 3: in games, or these winner take all situations, is especially
- 12:10Speaker 3: in the play in right, because you didn't just spend
- 12:12Speaker 3: six games playing them. In game seventh. It's very rare
- 12:14Speaker 3: you can throw a surprise at a team in a
- 12:16Speaker 3: play in situation. You can throw a surprise out there,
- 12:19Speaker 3: and it'd be interesting to see if the Hornets can
- 12:20Speaker 3: handle that. And if they do handle it well and
- 12:22Speaker 3: end up winning, then I think you know, you can say,
- 12:25Speaker 3: all right, this is a playoff ready team potentially, but
- 12:28Speaker 3: it's going to be a nightmare if they end up
- 12:31Speaker 3: facing the Pistons in the first round, because that defense
- 12:33Speaker 3: is just disgusting.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Can the Celtics make any sort of noise or they
- 12:36Speaker 1: pass the noise phase of their organization like they're expected
- 12:40Speaker 1: to do things right?
- 12:41Speaker 3: No, the Celtics are currently in the midst of making
- 12:43Speaker 3: noise right now.
- 12:45Speaker 4: They are, yeah, because by playing the way they've been playing, this.
- 12:48Speaker 3: Was supposed to be, as Dalen Brown says, a gap
- 12:50Speaker 3: year for them, right. So, yeah, they absolutely are already
- 12:53Speaker 3: on the verge of making noise, but that now comes
- 12:55Speaker 3: with expectations. If they don't make the conference finals, it's
- 12:58Speaker 3: a huge upset. If they make the NBA Finals, that's
- 13:01Speaker 3: probably where they think they're going to be because above them,
- 13:03Speaker 3: in terms of the seedings, is a one seed with
- 13:05Speaker 3: very little experience and below them are some teams that
- 13:08Speaker 3: haven't proven anything.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company
- 13:12Speaker 2: Live weekday said three pm Eastern twelve pm Pacific on
- 13:16Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Damon Stodamaier going to join us in about fifteen minutes.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Documentary comes out today on Netflix. Jail Blazers looking forward
- 13:30Speaker 1: to that. I remember me and Dan doing a segment
- 13:34Speaker 1: saying what teams deserve a thirty for thirty.
- 13:38Speaker 4: And we took calls on it and everyone.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Called it and said the jail Blazers, the jail Blazers,
- 13:44Speaker 1: the jail Blazers. Well, somebody was listening and it was Netflix.
- 13:48Speaker 1: And again that movie comes out tonight. Damon Stottamaier going
- 13:51Speaker 1: to join us in just a minute before.
- 13:53Speaker 4: We get to just me or Taylor. What's the score
- 13:57Speaker 4: of the soccer game?
- 13:58Speaker 6: I mean it went to half mil nil boom cash
- 14:02Speaker 6: those tickets.
- 14:03Speaker 4: It always does.
- 14:06Speaker 3: Nils everywhere.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Yes, all right, it's a weekly segment here. I need
- 14:10Speaker 1: some music for it.
- 14:11Speaker 4: Just me or.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Who is going to kick off the proceedings today? I
- 14:16Speaker 1: am told that Iowa Sam doesn't have one. I'm not
- 14:19Speaker 1: certain if ot Ricardo has one. He's usually watching baseball.
- 14:23Speaker 1: I know is he has one. I'm not certain if
- 14:25Speaker 1: Dan has one. We'll just go around the room. If you, oh,
- 14:27Speaker 1: thumbs up from Dan about that.
- 14:31Speaker 3: Let's start and feeling Dan is annoyed by us. So
- 14:34Speaker 3: he hates us?
- 14:35Speaker 4: I mean, the only question is is he hate us
- 14:37Speaker 4: more than he.
- 14:38Speaker 3: Hates Iowa sick? That's impossible, bit.
- 14:43Speaker 4: I don't know. All right, here's kicking himself awfully quiet, awkward.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Let's go to uh bord ot Ricardo here prying himself
- 14:58Speaker 1: away from the soccer match just for a second to deliver.
- 15:02Speaker 4: Just me or all right?
- 15:03Speaker 6: Is it just me?
- 15:04Speaker 7: Or did Doc Rivers rivers experiment in Milwaukee go exactly
- 15:08Speaker 7: as expected?
- 15:10Speaker 4: It's not just you.
- 15:11Speaker 7: So he's like an action here at walking away from
- 15:13Speaker 7: an explosion that he just helped cause, yeah and saying
- 15:16Speaker 7: into the camera google me.
- 15:18Speaker 4: Yeah, he is right.
- 15:20Speaker 3: I love the jokes on Doc Rivers. I understand all
- 15:25Speaker 3: the hate that he receives. I just remember every time
- 15:29Speaker 3: I went to talk to Doc Rivers, the guy would
- 15:31Speaker 3: give me great answers, and it didn't even matter what
- 15:34Speaker 3: the subject was. Like, I could be talking to him
- 15:36Speaker 3: on a Tuesday when he's playing against the Houston Rockets,
- 15:39Speaker 3: and I'm asking him a Tyler Hero question the team
- 15:41Speaker 3: that he's not even playing. He'll give me a five
- 15:43Speaker 3: minute answer, well thought out, and I'm just like, you
- 15:45Speaker 3: know what, I like that guy.
- 15:47Speaker 4: Yeah, I can't.
- 15:47Speaker 3: I can't continue to poop on it.
- 15:49Speaker 4: At least your opinions are not biased or anything.
- 15:51Speaker 6: Jeez, can I ask you, guys a Doc Rivers question?
- 15:54Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 15:55Speaker 6: Has his voice always been like that?
- 15:56Speaker 3: Yes, it's been pretty bad for a long time. I
- 15:59Speaker 3: can't remember what a younger Doc Rivers sad.
- 16:02Speaker 4: I mean, I didn't hear him speak as a child,
- 16:04Speaker 4: so I don't know.
- 16:06Speaker 3: Guys.
- 16:06Speaker 8: Can I jump in here real quick? I actually heard
- 16:09Speaker 8: of saw a video of Doc Rivers from the nineties
- 16:11Speaker 8: when he was like a commentator. His voice is a
- 16:14Speaker 8: lot less scratchy. I think the years of years of
- 16:17Speaker 8: coaching he did actually at one point have a voice
- 16:20Speaker 8: that was clear and not scratchy. So if you look
- 16:22Speaker 8: up some Doc Rivers from the nineties, you'll hear his
- 16:24Speaker 8: original voice.
- 16:25Speaker 4: Okay, all right, do I have to look that up?
- 16:27Speaker 3: I'm not gonna do that, but thank you. I can
- 16:28Speaker 3: track the option, so see if I can find it.
- 16:31Speaker 4: Let do why.
- 16:34Speaker 9: Ten minutes later, I don't think this thing will be
- 16:36Speaker 9: found no dice spoiler alert.
- 16:39Speaker 4: Now he'll tell us.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Dan right in the middle of Damon STOTTAMAI like, I
- 16:42Speaker 1: got it, Taylor, You're out?
- 16:48Speaker 6: Is it just me? Or should our softball team not
- 16:51Speaker 6: have a bye every other week?
- 16:53Speaker 4: A second bye? What a tea? What a league? This is?
- 16:57Speaker 3: I love it? Actually?
- 16:58Speaker 10: Well?
- 16:58Speaker 1: First off, tell the audience how many weeks you guys
- 17:01Speaker 1: have been participating in this in the.
- 17:04Speaker 3: So we started off, we signed up. There's five people
- 17:08Speaker 3: that know each other in this league. It's me, Taylor, Anthony,
- 17:10Speaker 3: a couple other people. And week one we had a bye.
- 17:14Speaker 3: Sweet off to Week two. Yes, Week two they played.
- 17:18Speaker 3: I did not play. I had one at bat because
- 17:19Speaker 3: I showed up late, and I think we only played
- 17:21Speaker 3: what three innings?
- 17:22Speaker 6: Lost nineteen?
- 17:23Speaker 3: Yeah, mercy rule after fifteen minutes.
- 17:26Speaker 4: I love that. That's a quick night.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Week three unfortunately a rain out, or I'd call it
- 17:30Speaker 3: a dry rain out because it didn't actually rain. You
- 17:33Speaker 3: were celebrating, right, Oh man, what a night. And then
- 17:36Speaker 3: last week, I believe it was last week. I just
- 17:38Speaker 3: didn't show up. I wasn't feeling great and they showed.
- 17:41Speaker 6: Up, they still lost, but month closer, we lost by five.
- 17:46Speaker 6: So this is technically week five. So for those people
- 17:49Speaker 6: keeping track at home, we've played two games and we've
- 17:52Speaker 6: had two bye weeks.
- 17:53Speaker 3: But it was a regular how many innings is a
- 17:55Speaker 3: regular game.
- 17:57Speaker 6: So it's timed. Okay, when they get five minutes left,
- 18:00Speaker 6: they say, okay, finish this inning.
- 18:02Speaker 3: Okay, that's weird.
- 18:03Speaker 4: I don't like that.
- 18:03Speaker 3: So yeah, so we needed another break, so another by.
- 18:06Speaker 6: This week's dude, impossible for our team to get into
- 18:08Speaker 6: a rhythm.
- 18:09Speaker 4: Though, well yes, with all the boys right, and is
- 18:11Speaker 4: he not showing up and.
- 18:12Speaker 6: Just generally beating bat weather?
- 18:14Speaker 4: Delay? Is all of it? Mean?
- 18:16Speaker 3: I heard our catcher is terrible.
- 18:17Speaker 4: I'm surprised.
- 18:18Speaker 6: You have to wait, My god, our cat are I
- 18:21Speaker 6: hope our catcher's not listening to this? And if he is,
- 18:23Speaker 6: shut shut your app right now. Our catcher is an aarp.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Okay, So Taylor, when when is he shows up? You
- 18:30Speaker 1: lose by sixteen and the night ends early. When he
- 18:33Speaker 1: doesn't show up, you'll lose by five.
- 18:36Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:37Speaker 6: Yeah, but it wasn't Easy's fault. Why why we like
- 18:40Speaker 6: he had one at bat and he didn't play in
- 18:41Speaker 6: the field. Yes, you know he struck out in only.
- 18:44Speaker 3: He doesn't want to be there, Matt, if you're asking
- 18:46Speaker 3: for trends with me and Taylor as teammates, he didn't
- 18:49Speaker 3: show up for our double header in flag football this
- 18:51Speaker 3: past Saturday, and we won both games. So whenever Taylor
- 18:54Speaker 3: and I are on the field together, we don't win anything.
- 18:57Speaker 3: Let me tell you there, apart, you do way better.
- 18:59Speaker 4: So you wouldn't care if the softball team won without you?
- 19:02Speaker 3: Oh no, okay, great, I would encourage it right there
- 19:04Speaker 3: the more.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Yes, But Taylor, I am telling you right now, he
- 19:10Speaker 1: takes sports seriously. Yeah, And I am telling you there's
- 19:13Speaker 1: been a sleepless night or two yeah, over the fact
- 19:15Speaker 1: that your team flag football team won two games without him.
- 19:19Speaker 4: Yes, Stu, you would.
- 19:20Speaker 6: Love this from our softball game the past one that
- 19:23Speaker 6: we lost. We cut it to three, we're down three,
- 19:27Speaker 6: we're getting up in the in the lineup, and I
- 19:30Speaker 6: call this part of our lineup Murderers Row. And not
- 19:32Speaker 6: because they were great at hitting, but because they were
- 19:35Speaker 6: probably alive when Murderer's Row was playing in the nineteen twenties. Yes,
- 19:38Speaker 6: and they all struck out looking they went down, They
- 19:41Speaker 6: went down one, two, three.
- 19:43Speaker 4: They should be ashamed of themselves.
- 19:46Speaker 3: I'll take one of their spots on soffect.
- 19:47Speaker 6: One of them was walking off the field and he's
- 19:50Speaker 6: our pitcher too. He's actually a pretty good pitcher, but
- 19:53Speaker 6: he's walking off the field and he looks at the
- 19:55Speaker 6: pitcher and he goes, pitch great pitcher, and one guy
- 19:57Speaker 6: on our team, who just had enough at this point,
- 19:59Speaker 6: goes swing the bat next time.
- 20:02Speaker 4: Right, it's not the picture if you're not swinging.
- 20:06Speaker 3: Dan, you think I should let that one go Where
- 20:08Speaker 3: he said pitch great pitcher instead of pitcher great pitch.
- 20:13Speaker 3: I didn't. I didn't let it go. You don't have
- 20:14Speaker 3: to answer the question by.
- 20:16Speaker 4: Asking him by extension you did not let it go?
- 20:19Speaker 5: Is he never lets things go? No at all, he doesn't.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Yeah, he holds on to learn from the best. Yes,
- 20:26Speaker 1: let's go to update anchor. Dan here, Dan, you're up?
- 20:29Speaker 9: Yeah, quick side note before I get to the is
- 20:32Speaker 9: it just me? Doc Rivers nineteen ninety one.
- 20:35Speaker 3: Oh, it's been a tough year.
- 20:37Speaker 4: It's been a good year of batue.
- 20:38Speaker 10: I mean there's been points in a season where I
- 20:40Speaker 10: thought it didn't matter who we play, we would beat
- 20:42Speaker 10: and it was no doubt about it.
- 20:44Speaker 6: Their court to our core.
- 20:45Speaker 10: Then there's been points where I thought anybody who wanted
- 20:48Speaker 10: to beat us could beat us. I don't know why
- 20:49Speaker 10: that happened, but if we get into playoff, there.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Is that's a different human being.
- 20:54Speaker 9: That is Doc Rivers nineteen ninety one. You can kind
- 20:56Speaker 9: of still hear the Doc Rivers today.
- 20:59Speaker 4: Who who know that?
- 21:02Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 21:02Speaker 5: Totally yeah, thirty seconds. Actually we got it.
- 21:07Speaker 6: Dan pulled it before.
- 21:08Speaker 5: Hold on, Dan pulled it before I. I had to
- 21:10Speaker 5: send to the editors be rolled in.
- 21:12Speaker 6: Dan beat me to it, and that's exact same clip.
- 21:14Speaker 5: Yeah, just Doc Rivers nineteen ninety interview.
- 21:17Speaker 4: That's Laura.
- 21:17Speaker 5: Then it popped up. First thing, Oh thanks Dan, send
- 21:20Speaker 5: my thunder.
- 21:21Speaker 4: Yeah, thank you.
- 21:21Speaker 1: I was killing mine, right, But Dan, we got a
- 21:25Speaker 1: text and he said it would be ready in two minutes.
- 21:28Speaker 1: You played it in fifteen seconds. Fifteen seconds after he sent.
- 21:32Speaker 5: Us that text.
- 21:32Speaker 6: You're going to go through the proper channels here, guys.
- 21:35Speaker 9: He's got to send it through Cedar falls and then I.
- 21:39Speaker 5: Send my carrier pigeon.
- 21:40Speaker 9: All right, is it just me? Or is bunker cam
- 21:43Speaker 9: completely worthless? And it dawned on me Sunday when Rory
- 21:47Speaker 9: was on the eighteenth holl and he was hitting his
- 21:50Speaker 9: shot from the bunker, and CBS has been grilled for
- 21:53Speaker 9: their coverage. We grilled them on Monday for all of
- 21:56Speaker 9: the things that went wrong. The one thing that we
- 21:58Speaker 9: need to know on Rory's third shot from the bunker
- 22:01Speaker 9: is where it lands. So I assume that those guys
- 22:05Speaker 9: in the truck were like, this is amazing, he's in
- 22:07Speaker 9: the bunker. Let's go to bunker cam. And it gives
- 22:10Speaker 9: us no information on what we really need in this
- 22:14Speaker 9: instance or any other instance when someone is in the bunker,
- 22:18Speaker 9: even when it stays in the bunker, if you're not
- 22:20Speaker 9: even focused on the ball, it's somewhere off to the
- 22:23Speaker 9: left and sand is flying in your face. So to me,
- 22:27Speaker 9: bunker cam completely useless in broadcasting golf.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Nobody has ever been more upset about a camera and
- 22:34Speaker 3: they're live, yeah, than Dan Byer is about.
- 22:36Speaker 9: Bunker the opposite of pylon cam. Like pilon cam is amazing.
- 22:39Speaker 9: I love pylon cam, HM totally useful. This not so much.
- 22:45Speaker 4: Right, sand cam you could do with that though, right.
- 22:48Speaker 5: Yeah, bunker cam a waste of time.
- 22:50Speaker 1: By the way, I always Sam I hope you have
- 22:52Speaker 1: the sound here of Jim Nantz. He was on the
- 22:54Speaker 1: Pat McAfee show. We did make fun of the coverage yesterday.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Why is it Jim Nance here? One second? He tells
- 23:01Speaker 1: me he's working on doc rivers from the nineteen nineties.
- 23:05Speaker 4: Sound that we already played. If you get it, let
- 23:07Speaker 4: me know if it's long playblevision.
- 23:11Speaker 3: We all make mistakes. I'm really proud of our crew.
- 23:14Speaker 11: You're making, as you said, so many decisions, split second decisions.
- 23:20Speaker 4: The things that were shown.
- 23:22Speaker 11: Produced by our crew, hundreds of people involved over the
- 23:26Speaker 11: course of four days, some thirty hours of television.
- 23:29Speaker 9: You know.
- 23:29Speaker 11: I can't speak to the difficulty and some of the
- 23:32Speaker 11: decision making, some of the things that people are responsible for.
- 23:36Speaker 11: I just know that our crew is the best in
- 23:38Speaker 11: the business.
- 23:40Speaker 4: Classic Nance.
- 23:42Speaker 3: I would watch a streaming channel of Dan Byer and Iosa.
- 23:45Speaker 3: I'm just hanging out. He's at the camera, following them everywhere.
- 23:50Speaker 6: He keeps up ending me here.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Yeah, well, he keeps stealing my thunder right, I'll do
- 23:55Speaker 1: your job better.
- 23:56Speaker 8: I'm trying as fast I can, Danster, I mean, I launch,
- 23:59Speaker 8: you're getting pipped.
- 24:00Speaker 5: I don't want Sam's job.
- 24:03Speaker 4: Yeah, no, thanks, I was, Sam, do you have a
- 24:07Speaker 4: Is it just me? Or no? I don't Yes, that
- 24:10Speaker 4: was my contributions. He's coming, I mean after that, you
- 24:13Speaker 4: want you want Dan to do it for you?
- 24:15Speaker 5: Sure, he's got a second one. Absolutely.
- 24:18Speaker 3: This is what having a teenage son feels like. They
- 24:21Speaker 3: get disappointed in because that's kind of the it's washing
- 24:24Speaker 3: over me right now, I get it.
- 24:25Speaker 4: I love them.
- 24:26Speaker 6: Two pieces of audio that I was going to give
- 24:28Speaker 6: you the Dan beat.
- 24:29Speaker 4: Me too, Absolutely miserable, Thank you Dan, ep Jason? Does
- 24:36Speaker 4: he have one today?
- 24:37Speaker 6: Guys?
- 24:37Speaker 3: Is it just me?
- 24:39Speaker 11: Or?
- 24:39Speaker 12: Is drafting the girlfriend of your star player a dicey proposition?
- 24:45Speaker 4: Now?
- 24:45Speaker 12: Hear me out? A team sports is a delicate ecosystem,
- 24:52Speaker 12: it is, and to disrupt that ecosystem in any way,
- 24:56Speaker 12: shape or form is dicey dangerous. And to put a
- 24:59Speaker 12: ton of money and resources into this if there is
- 25:03Speaker 12: a breakup, if there was something that breaks that delicate ecosystem,
- 25:08Speaker 12: the Dallas Wings are going to be worse off because
- 25:11Speaker 12: of it.
- 25:12Speaker 6: Is it just me or what?
- 25:13Speaker 5: Guys?
- 25:14Speaker 3: I know as somebody who has dated a teammates currently
- 25:19Speaker 3: dating a teammate, it is a dicey situation.
- 25:22Speaker 4: Who would have thought this is your wheelhouse.
- 25:24Speaker 3: Man, I know, yes, I will say in that scenario,
- 25:27Speaker 3: I mean, they they could date after the draft, right
- 25:30Speaker 3: if if they didn't, they could always just meet as
- 25:32Speaker 3: teammates and then ended up having a relationship there. So
- 25:34Speaker 3: I don't really think that not drafting somebody because they're
- 25:37Speaker 3: dating your star player is a reason not to draft
- 25:39Speaker 3: that person. I think it's crazy interesting, Like I think
- 25:43Speaker 3: you're I mean you talk about like the heated rivalry
- 25:46Speaker 3: stuff with that getting so much attention. That was a
- 25:48Speaker 3: fictional story based on the number one and number two
- 25:51Speaker 3: overall draft picks in the NHL. This is back to
- 25:54Speaker 3: back number one picks in the WNBA and they're already
- 25:57Speaker 3: on the same team.
- 25:59Speaker 4: Like that?
- 25:59Speaker 3: Is that talk about reality shows?
- 26:01Speaker 1: I would watch, Yes, But your situation is a little
- 26:04Speaker 1: bit different.
- 26:04Speaker 4: You're the coach, no I play. I mean, but you
- 26:07Speaker 4: are the coach.
- 26:08Speaker 3: He's kind of the offensive captain as a quarterback, and
- 26:10Speaker 3: I know we kind of butt heads into the way
- 26:12Speaker 3: as well.
- 26:12Speaker 9: There's a conflict of interest, right, so many conflicts.
- 26:15Speaker 3: So many conflicts everywhere. I have the brain of a quarterback.
- 26:20Speaker 3: He has the ability of a quarterback, right, But.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Are you coming down on Anthony as hard as you
- 26:24Speaker 1: would on somebody else.
- 26:25Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying, No, no, right.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Things I say to him I wouldn't say to other
- 26:29Speaker 3: people is crazy because it should be the opposite.
- 26:33Speaker 5: I think it's fascinating.
- 26:34Speaker 9: I think it's so fascinating for a draft process as well,
- 26:39Speaker 9: when you're trying to when your career as a GM
- 26:41Speaker 9: would be on the line, like it's on the line
- 26:44Speaker 9: of their relationships, right, your career if it doesn't work
- 26:48Speaker 9: out as he said, you have two number one overall
- 26:50Speaker 9: picks back to back, and now you maybe have to
- 26:53Speaker 9: make a decision.
- 26:55Speaker 3: But here's how I know it's not going to be
- 26:56Speaker 3: a problem with them just projecting forward. They have been
- 26:59Speaker 3: so lick about the relationship to begin with. It's not
- 27:02Speaker 3: like they've announced this right. This has been a sort
- 27:05Speaker 3: of quiet thing that's been going on since college, and
- 27:07Speaker 3: so I think they know they're you know, grown women
- 27:11Speaker 3: know how to handle their situation. That's the way they
- 27:13Speaker 3: come across. That's the way Page has always come across.
- 27:15Speaker 3: I don't really know fun that well, but that's the
- 27:17Speaker 3: way Page has always come across. So not worried about
- 27:19Speaker 3: it at all. If anything, it would be something that
- 27:21Speaker 3: draws more eyes to my team. And if I'm worried
- 27:23Speaker 3: about a breakup ruining my team chemistry, I'm probably you know,
- 27:27Speaker 3: thinking too far ahead.
- 27:29Speaker 8: And guys, they kind of had excuse. They kind of
- 27:31Speaker 8: had a draft her. I mean, it's not like she
- 27:33Speaker 8: was just some fringe second round pick. She was going
- 27:35Speaker 8: to be Yeah, you're so ready, what happened there? That's
- 27:38Speaker 8: not a little fog in my throat.
- 27:40Speaker 4: Dan has never looked more disappointed.
- 27:42Speaker 8: Oh, I was just going to say they, I mean
- 27:44Speaker 8: she was she would have gone number one. Whoever was
- 27:45Speaker 8: gonna draft like they had.
- 27:46Speaker 5: To take I don't know about that, but yeah, I mean.
- 27:51Speaker 1: Right, And just to be clear, you don't have a
- 27:53Speaker 1: just me or right, I mean, I just want to
- 27:55Speaker 1: piggyback on your guys.
- 27:57Speaker 4: You have everything else, some of it late.
- 27:59Speaker 3: But I mean I also don't want to say that
- 28:01Speaker 3: she wasn't like a consensus number one pick. That was
- 28:03Speaker 3: like two or three players that were considered potential number one.
- 28:06Speaker 3: This is what I'm.
- 28:07Speaker 4: Saying in a world one a lot.
- 28:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I.
- 28:12Speaker 4: Stop talking where No, not you, Dan. I didn't say
- 28:15Speaker 4: that to you. Dan.
- 28:16Speaker 1: I apologize. I thought it was Iowa was in keep talking, Dan,
- 28:19Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 28:20Speaker 9: I was just gonna say we saw our number one
- 28:22Speaker 9: because Dallas was picking number one. In terms of a
- 28:26Speaker 9: prospect ranking, she may not have been number one, and
- 28:29Speaker 9: in some rankings she wasn't, but in mock drafts she
- 28:34Speaker 9: was because likely because it was in need for Dallas,
- 28:37Speaker 9: but also that relationship.
- 28:39Speaker 1: And what I'm telling you is in a weird world
- 28:41Speaker 1: where is he is an NFL GM and Anthony is
- 28:44Speaker 1: eligible for the NFL draft and no one else has
- 28:48Speaker 1: him grated He's not going to be drafted at all?
- 28:50Speaker 1: Is he has the number one overall pick and he's
- 28:52Speaker 1: selecting Anthony? I mean because he's got to deal with
- 28:54Speaker 1: them at home. I mean, all right, let me wrap
- 28:56Speaker 1: up this game. All right, it's my turn?
- 28:59Speaker 3: Is it? Just may Or? She would just exclude Iowa
- 29:01Speaker 3: Sam from all these games going forward, not just you.
- 29:04Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company
- 29:08Speaker 2: Live Weekday, said three pm Eastern, twelve pm Pacific.
- 29:14Speaker 4: Our thanks to Ian Rappaport for joining us.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Damon Stottameayer going to join us in our number two
- 29:20Speaker 1: Mighty Mouse.
- 29:22Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 29:24Speaker 3: I'm so proud of you, really because you said thank
- 29:27Speaker 3: you like you were annoyed.
- 29:29Speaker 1: I'm not annoyed, just proud. Okay, yes, never annoyed, just proud.
- 29:37Speaker 1: He's growing up right in front.
- 29:38Speaker 3: Of our Wow, you messed up the wrong word.
- 29:42Speaker 4: I didn't purposely.
- 29:45Speaker 1: It's a joke that carries over from seven years ago
- 29:47Speaker 1: on a different radio show.
- 29:51Speaker 4: The second is either Taylor and born out.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Ricardo told me that there was a big time soccer
- 29:56Speaker 1: match going on.
- 29:57Speaker 4: You have to call it a soccer match. What I
- 29:59Speaker 4: did it is I.
- 30:02Speaker 1: Put a bet in adjusted total under half a goal
- 30:06Speaker 1: in the first half. So, Taylor, what is the score
- 30:09Speaker 1: of this soccer game right now that's going on, this
- 30:11Speaker 1: big soccer game that is happening right now as we speak.
- 30:15Speaker 6: Yeah, so there were two minutes away from halftime. Liverpool
- 30:18Speaker 6: needs two goals to at least force extra time. Zero zero,
- 30:22Speaker 6: thank you.
- 30:23Speaker 3: It always is accent pack though, right.
- 30:28Speaker 5: Jez.
- 30:28Speaker 3: A lot of near goals maybe.
- 30:29Speaker 6: No, not really. PSG's had the better chances. Liverpool's striker
- 30:33Speaker 6: got hurt, non contact injuries, but a disaster so far
- 30:37Speaker 6: the bus.
- 30:38Speaker 4: How much time is left?
- 30:39Speaker 1: I hope so because I have the under how much
- 30:41Speaker 1: time is left in this match? Two minutes and a
- 30:43Speaker 1: half in the half you're saying, right, and the half yeah, okay,
- 30:46Speaker 1: so I'm looking good.
- 30:47Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:48Speaker 6: Neither team really looks like they're going for it right now.
- 30:50Speaker 1: They never are. That's my problem with the sport. You
- 30:55Speaker 1: had a question for us, Taylor.
- 30:57Speaker 6: Yeah, so the way they do it in the Champions League,
- 30:59Speaker 6: which we're in right now, it's played over two legs,
- 31:02Speaker 6: so each team gets a home match and then you
- 31:06Speaker 6: just take the combined score from those two legs and
- 31:09Speaker 6: then the winner moves on. So my question for you, NFL,
- 31:13Speaker 6: we're always trying to get more NFL games instead of
- 31:15Speaker 6: getting an extra regular season games too, why don't we
- 31:18Speaker 6: have a double legged wild card weekend? So like this
- 31:23Speaker 6: past wild card weekend, the Bills beat the Jaguars in
- 31:27Speaker 6: Jacksonville twenty seven to twenty four. R Well, what if
- 31:29Speaker 6: they played a return match in Buffalo where they had
- 31:32Speaker 6: to beat where the Jaguars now had a chance. Where
- 31:34Speaker 6: the game is basically starting Bills three, Jaguars nothing.
- 31:38Speaker 1: So the Bills are spotting the Jags three. Well, the
- 31:41Speaker 1: Jags are spotting the Bills three. They're up three to nothing.
- 31:43Speaker 3: Basically, a best of three game series is kind of crazy.
- 31:47Speaker 3: This is a version of a best of two.
- 31:49Speaker 1: Right, But they're still prolonging the playoffs, right, I mean
- 31:53Speaker 1: we are technically playing an additional game, right.
- 31:56Speaker 6: Yeah, you get double the playoff games?
- 31:58Speaker 4: Are we doing this every round?
- 32:00Speaker 6: So in the Champions League it's every round except for
- 32:02Speaker 6: the finals, So we can do that for the NFL
- 32:04Speaker 6: every round except for the Super Bowl.
- 32:06Speaker 1: Okay, So AFC championship game it is Chiefs and Bills.
- 32:10Speaker 1: They play in Kansas City. Kansas City wins by fourteen.
- 32:13Speaker 1: They go back to Buffalo and Casey is up fourteen
- 32:16Speaker 1: nothing to start the game.
- 32:17Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm in. The more the more we're talking this out,
- 32:21Speaker 6: the more I'm in.
- 32:22Speaker 1: Yes, I mean, I'm surprised it took me so long
- 32:26Speaker 1: to agree with you, but this is the greatest rule
- 32:28Speaker 1: change in the history of sports. If the NFL were
- 32:31Speaker 1: to go through with it, I mean, that's how you
- 32:33Speaker 1: do it, is that would be great?
- 32:34Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 32:34Speaker 3: No, no, So I don't know if Taylor is proposing
- 32:37Speaker 3: that we shorten the regular season, but I'm assuming no. Right,
- 32:40Speaker 3: that's crazy, crazy, So you're talking about extending the playoffs
- 32:43Speaker 3: sure through March?
- 32:45Speaker 4: Is that what we're talking You're round? I think?
- 32:47Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, right, not go football.
- 32:49Speaker 6: If it leads us right up to Augusta, that would
- 32:52Speaker 6: be ideal.
- 32:52Speaker 3: Yes, really through March madness, you're taking away you're putting
- 32:56Speaker 3: playoff games in the middle of the NCAA tournament.
- 32:59Speaker 6: Yes, yeah, So the super Bowl is the week before
- 33:02Speaker 6: the Masters. And then we cut to jim Nantz in Augusta,
- 33:05Speaker 6: and jim Nantz is like, I got it from here, guys, Hello, friends.
- 33:09Speaker 1: I have the rest of the little break from the NFL.
- 33:12Speaker 1: I've got this, and then back to Iron Eagle. Now,
- 33:15Speaker 1: football is not going to make the mistake that soccer did.
- 33:17Speaker 1: And because I know, I don't think they do this
- 33:18Speaker 1: anymore with Champions League, where road scores count more.
- 33:22Speaker 3: They're the tiebreaker. Right, road goals was the tiebreaker before.
- 33:25Speaker 3: You can't. It's ridiculous. Why why would that even matter
- 33:30Speaker 3: where you scored the goal? The field is the same.
- 33:32Speaker 4: Wherever you are because they never score them.
- 33:34Speaker 6: Yeah, and that rule has also been eliminated because I
- 33:37Speaker 6: think soccer even realized, like, hey, this is kind of dumb.
- 33:41Speaker 1: So Buffalo is down fourteen to nothing against Kansas City
- 33:46Speaker 1: and they have to go immediately into like you know,
- 33:49Speaker 1: you know, no huddle offense. I mean yeah, because they're
- 33:53Speaker 1: playing catch up, right, I mean there's some urgency there.
- 33:56Speaker 4: Do they get the ball first? The coins off it.
- 34:00Speaker 3: I'd be happy if your defense coming out don't know,
- 34:02Speaker 3: we're good. We're gonna play prevent the entire game. You're
- 34:05Speaker 3: up twenty one.
- 34:06Speaker 4: Oh god, I am so in.
- 34:08Speaker 1: I mean, unfortunately the players Union, so out Player's Union.
- 34:13Speaker 3: Every other sport should be out.
- 34:15Speaker 6: And don't get me started on promotion and relegation because
- 34:17Speaker 6: that's a that's a whole different conversation.
- 34:20Speaker 4: I want to get you started next
