- 0:00Creepy. Coming up. I think that was Angela getting
- 0:03the chills. Did you just take a shot? Or was
- 0:06she taking a shot? We just, why? Angela! This
- 0:14episode is scaring Angela so bad, she just took
- 0:17a shot. You know, we do a lot of talking about
- 0:21how one time at a house in Indiana, we handcuffed
- 0:27Brianna to a bathtub. And handcuffed Angela to
- 0:31a portal closet. I mean, we did turn the experience
- 0:34into a short film called Beware the Haunted Bat
- 0:36Tubs, which is a very serious look at residual
- 0:40energy containment vessels across America. But
- 0:43that's a side note. We do a lot of talking about
- 0:46that one instance because everyone still to this
- 0:48day comments on the TikToks and the short film
- 0:51we made. Is she okay? Why is she handcuffed?
- 0:54Should I call 911? And it's like... perfectly
- 0:57normal yes absolutely normal yeah we were doing
- 1:01a solo ghost hunt and decided to uh handcuff
- 1:04our friend to a bathtub that's a portal to another
- 1:08dimension that's very normal don't ask any follow
- 1:11-up questions please don't contact the police
- 1:13totally normal uh made me wonder though because
- 1:18in the previous episode too angela was saying
- 1:20how like a terrifying instance would be to do
- 1:23that handcuffing but, like, at a big, massive,
- 1:26like, haunted abandoned prison and, like, handcuffed
- 1:29to, like, an entire cell block or whatever and
- 1:31have people, like, role -playing guards and make
- 1:33it really realistic. Yeah. But would that actually
- 1:39be the worst -case scenario? Like, you know all
- 1:43those things where people are like, craft, make
- 1:46your poison, like, craft a dangerous cocktail
- 1:50that will fuck you up, right? We're gonna do
- 1:53that tonight. What is the recipe for the most
- 1:57dangerous, fuck you up, solo investigation cocktail
- 2:01that will actually give you one of the elusive,
- 2:05always talked about, but we've never experienced
- 2:08paranormal hangovers? Oh, God. Welcome to our
- 2:12podcast, where we take deep dives looking at
- 2:14various topics through a paranormal lens. This
- 2:19whole handcuffing thing to haunted bathtubs.
- 2:22Then we made a short film about it. Everyone
- 2:25says, call 911. This is crazy. What are you doing?
- 2:29Is that the worst case scenario? Is there anything
- 2:32worse than being left in a place by yourself,
- 2:36handcuffed to a portal? I can definitely think
- 2:39of a lot more. You can. And we're not discussing
- 2:42this so that the other people can take notes,
- 2:44right? But by the end of this, we should all
- 2:47have an idea on what our most feared... possible
- 2:52outcome of a solo investigation challenge would
- 2:54be mine is just being solo that's it i don't
- 3:02like being doing solos on investigations you
- 3:04know i'm also not a big fan of solos but i feel
- 3:07like at this point i've done i've i've done some
- 3:11pretty scary solos you've done enough where like
- 3:14i feel like you can you can be used to it and
- 3:17like oh no no No, no, no, no, no, no. There's
- 3:23no ever getting used to doing a solo. Literally
- 3:26the scariest one I ever did wasn't the handcuffed
- 3:30one. It was the solo blindfolded Estes method
- 3:35in the basement of Madison Seminary. That was
- 3:40terrifying. That was terrifying. Not terrifying
- 3:43for us, but terrifying for you. Yeah, terrifying
- 3:46for me. Especially since we went back in the
- 3:47footage and you had no idea because you were
- 3:49blindfolded. In the dark basement. There was
- 3:52a bat circling her head the whole time. Yeah.
- 3:55Terrifying footage. Terrifying footage. Also
- 3:59just terrifying in general. You volunteered.
- 4:02Also more terrifying is that I came up with the
- 4:05idea and volunteered to do it. I always put myself
- 4:10in those circumstances and I don't know why.
- 4:12Well, I know it plays into this theme, right?
- 4:15What's worse? Like the worst case scenario type
- 4:17of thing? Because anytime... we propose a scary
- 4:21idea instead of brie saying that's scary she
- 4:26instead proposes something mildly less scary
- 4:30for her to do alone while we do the even scarier
- 4:34thing and then afterwards realizes maybe what
- 4:38i did was more scary am i like wrong in that
- 4:41because it's every time we say we're gonna we're
- 4:44gonna do a you know occult -y ritual type of
- 4:47thing. You're like, I'm gonna do a solo, I'm
- 4:49gonna be blindfolded in the basement, and get
- 4:53shit on by a bat. I didn't get shit on by a bat,
- 4:57FYI. I made that one up. Okay, Brianna, though.
- 5:01You're like, what does ectoplasmic substance
- 5:03on? Yeah, it meant, like, what would you have
- 5:06thought if you were just doing the Estus method,
- 5:09blindfolded, and you felt something fall on you?
- 5:12I would have flipped shit. I would have been
- 5:14like, oh my god, something just touched me. And
- 5:17then, you know, probably would have ran out of
- 5:19there, tripped myself, probably broken a few
- 5:23things, and then got into the light and realized,
- 5:27oh, that's literally just shit. Oh, that's just
- 5:30a bat. So Brianna's solo investigation cocktail
- 5:35would include bat shit. Maybe. Damn, you're batshit.
- 5:42A bat flying in your mouth. I am batshit. I couldn't
- 5:48tell. It kind of glitched there. It kind of glitched.
- 5:50Did you say I'm bad shit or I'm batshit? Yes.
- 5:56Beware of Brie, guys. She's some bad shit. I
- 6:00don't know if that's a good thing or not. The
- 6:03short film, we should re -release Beware of the
- 6:05Haunted Bat Tubs as Beware of the Bad Shit Haunted
- 6:08Bat Tubs. Beware the bad shit bathtubs. There.
- 6:15Okay, so we determined Angela doesn't even need
- 6:18handcuffs. But also, one of the reasons we did
- 6:23the handcuffs, too, wasn't for, like, scary effect.
- 6:26It was, like, literally, like... It was for the
- 6:28commitment. Commitment. If you don't like doing
- 6:30solos, you have to do a solo. So doing a solo
- 6:34is scary enough. This forces you to do it. Yeah.
- 6:38What would, what is your guys' scariest place
- 6:41you think would be to do a solo? I'd say any,
- 6:45so the difference between the Madison Seminary
- 6:48one and what we're talking about with the handcuffing
- 6:51in the state house in Indiana. In Madison, we
- 6:54were still on the property. At a state house,
- 6:56you were alone in the building. Yeah. So I'd
- 7:00say, and this isn't really an answer, but anything
- 7:03that involves actually being totally alone. on
- 7:08location on location okay i was gonna say for
- 7:11myself like location wise doing a solo at a jail
- 7:19would be terrifying yeah that would be terrifying
- 7:23like dennis you don't you guys know that what
- 7:26energy was left behind from those inmates that
- 7:29were there exactly exactly That is... How about
- 7:32we do this? How about we make one big cauldron
- 7:35of one terrible potion? So, so far, our ingredient
- 7:38list is a prison that involves, at some point,
- 7:41a bat shitting on your head. Yes. So far. And
- 7:45you being, like, totally by yourself on location,
- 7:49nobody else is on property. Yes. Okay. Are you
- 7:53writing this down, Ben? I'm writing this down.
- 7:57If we're going with this sort of scenario and
- 7:59taking it step by step, I feel like if you're
- 8:05in a jail doing a solo, you could potentially
- 8:09remove the handcuffs from the situation and lock
- 8:14someone in a cell for a solo. I think that would
- 8:17be terrifying. Handcuffed in a cell? No, you
- 8:22don't even need the handcuffs, I feel like. Just
- 8:25locking someone in a cell. Okay. Yeah. That'd
- 8:29be so fun. Locked in a cell and then a bat is
- 8:33also in the cell shitting on your head? That's
- 8:37terrible. Okay. Okay. So let's take it a step
- 8:42further now. Flashlight or no flashlight? Do
- 8:45you want to see what's happening? I think being
- 8:49able to see would be scarier. I also agree with
- 8:55that. Because at Madison, when I was blindfolded
- 8:59for Estes, I felt like if I could see, it would
- 9:02have made things worse. Yeah, because it's like
- 9:04you're going to be like someone's going to look
- 9:06around the corner at you or something like that.
- 9:08Especially at prison, you got all the cells.
- 9:10If you shine the light the wrong way, cast a
- 9:13shadow. I think having a light would be scarier.
- 9:18It's always the shadows. But what would be scarier?
- 9:22Because if you're blindfolded, you gotta have
- 9:25the handcuffs. You can't just be blindfolded
- 9:27walking around. Yeah. Or they'd actually be funny.
- 9:31Or tie your hands around your back. Straight
- 9:33jacket! Straight jacket and blindfold. So you
- 9:36can still walk around and bump into shit. Oh
- 9:38my gosh. Straight jacket. No. Like, that's just
- 9:45a hazard at that point. Okay, so we gotta...
- 9:50We gotta be a little more grounded here. What's
- 9:53a hazard and what's actually safe? But, okay.
- 9:58Blindfolded and restrained, be it straight jacket,
- 10:01handcuff, whatever, or a flashlight, what's scarier?
- 10:04Blindfold or a light? Oh. I'd say having a light
- 10:09is probably scarier because of the shadow factor.
- 10:16I do agree. You can trick yourself into believing
- 10:19you're... Like, if you don't have the assist
- 10:21thing set up, and you just have a blindfold,
- 10:24you can fall asleep, close your eyes, force yourself
- 10:27to forget. Yeah. Yeah. Okay, so, this sounds
- 10:33weird, maybe to other people, but in our scariest
- 10:37solo scenario, I added a note, you are allowed
- 10:40a flashlight. Because to us, that makes it scarier.
- 10:47Okay. Equipment. Do you have equipment? Do you
- 10:51not have equipment? I would say having... It
- 10:59depends on the equipment. Yeah, it depends on
- 11:01the equipment. So what would the scariest...
- 11:04I think... Anything that produces... Having either
- 11:10that or something that detects like... Is a sensory
- 11:17detector like a cat ball or a REM pod, like something
- 11:20that tells you that there's something there.
- 11:23Like, say you're locked in a jail cell and you
- 11:26have cat balls lining the hallway and you see
- 11:29them slowly light up one by one coming in your
- 11:33direction. Yeah. It gave me goosebumps. Cat balls
- 11:39and REM pods line the hallway and then you have
- 11:42an EMF meter in the cell? I wouldn't say EMF
- 11:47meter. That's not going to be scary. A spirit
- 11:50box. Would the spirit box static overpowering
- 11:55everything else be scarier or less scarier than
- 11:59silence? I feel like that's one of the things
- 12:02with the spirit box. One of its downsides and
- 12:05one of its good sides is it creates white noise
- 12:08so you can't hear a lot of everything else. It's
- 12:11the same thing as wearing the blindfold. If you
- 12:14can't see it, you can pretend it's not there.
- 12:16If you can't hear anything except for the white
- 12:19static, you can pretend nothing else is going
- 12:21on. So having a filtered spirit box or ovulus
- 12:27that gives you words is going to be scarier than
- 12:30just the white noise spirit box. For simplicity,
- 12:34I just put a word generator device in the cell,
- 12:36just sort of over -explaining. But I do agree.
- 12:40Um, so I do agree the scariest thing possible
- 12:43would be things that detect motion in the hallway,
- 12:47like cat balls and REM pods. That would be terrifying.
- 12:50And then in the cell itself is something that
- 12:53would just spit out words or phrases. Yeah. Um,
- 12:58okay. But other than that, it's just ambient
- 13:01sound. Yeah. So you can hear something walks
- 13:03up to you. That would be... That's the ambient
- 13:06noises. I mean, of course, of course, in this
- 13:08situation, you'd probably have like a video camera
- 13:11or like a voice recorder. I would say yes. You
- 13:16want to record the whole thing like that's that's
- 13:20one of the things with solos is like it didn't
- 13:22happen unless you have proof. So well, but I'd
- 13:27wager what you're locked in a cell. Would we
- 13:30set up two cameras? both outside the cell one
- 13:33pointing in one out or would it be because i
- 13:37think it would be less scary if you are allowed
- 13:41to have a camera that you're holding and you're
- 13:43pointing around and that adds light and you can
- 13:45just talk yeah i know i don't think you should
- 13:48have the camera i think it should be like outside
- 13:52the cell you can have the voice recorder in the
- 13:56cell with you though yeah yes but i wrote down
- 14:00that Cameras themselves outside the cell. Okay,
- 14:04so it is being filmed, but you can't access the
- 14:07cameras themselves. Which, that's so terrifying
- 14:11because if you see the camera shut off or something,
- 14:14that would be so scary. If the cat balls start
- 14:19going off one by one approaching the camera,
- 14:22then the camera dies and you can't reach the
- 14:24camera or do anything about it. And as it's a
- 14:26little bit of ambient light, then now you lose.
- 14:31Yeah. Exactly. Creepy. What was that, Ang? Was
- 14:36that like a scared? I think that was Angela getting
- 14:40the chills. Did you just take a shot? Or was
- 14:43she taking a shot? We just, why? Angela! This
- 14:51episode is scaring Angela so bad. She just took
- 14:54a shot. What did you take a shot of? She could
- 14:59barely drink it. Look at her face. Why do you
- 15:02think this is good? This is like spicy water.
- 15:07It doesn't even taste like whiskey. It's whiskey.
- 15:10It's the cheapest Canadian whiskey you can get,
- 15:13but it goes down smooth. It's like water. Yeah,
- 15:16it's like water, but it doesn't have that itchiness
- 15:24of whiskey. It's too watery. I don't know. I
- 15:29don't know how else to describe it. Like, oh,
- 15:31God, that was, like, not a good taste. That was,
- 15:33like, watered -down whiskey. Like, giving that
- 15:36pure stuff, that's, like, almost easier and tastes
- 15:39better. Should I add to this cocktail, then,
- 15:41cheap Canadian whiskey? Oh, God, yeah. No, because
- 15:46you can't have something to settle the nerves
- 15:49for you. No, you take two shots of cheap Canadian
- 15:53whiskey before you get locked in. Okay. Or would
- 15:56that make it less scary? That would give you
- 15:58a boost of confidence. Yeah. A non -alcoholic
- 16:03Canadian spice. Canadian spice whiskey. Better
- 16:08yet, let's just get an IV going with some whiskey.
- 16:11Get it right in your blood. If we were at like
- 16:15a haunted hospital, that'd be... It's not realistic
- 16:19for a prison. No. Okay. Speaking of... It's a
- 16:25prison. Should we really lean into the idea of,
- 16:28okay, how can we make this the most terrifying
- 16:32traumatic experience possible for the person
- 16:34doing the solo? Should we have at one random
- 16:36point during their solo, someone pretending to
- 16:40be a guard come in and start banging on cells
- 16:42without them knowing? No. Why? I think having
- 16:48a mirror in the room facing you. wait let's go
- 16:53back to the guy being the the guy is that too
- 16:55scary scary kind of ruins ruins the effect of
- 16:58the solo i mean you could do that like when you're
- 17:02closing them in be like have as as they're leaving
- 17:06like to stir up activity yeah that's a good idea
- 17:09i don't think having someone come in in the middle
- 17:12of the solo would make sense okay so just no
- 17:17distractions you're completely alone no one but
- 17:21having a mirror in the cell i think having a
- 17:24mirror in the cell let it face you the whole
- 17:26time like that i don't like that and that probably
- 17:30is like the reason why it's got to be added to
- 17:33the list yeah that's the point that's the point
- 17:35okay um live stream or no live stream uh no live
- 17:42stream no live stream because I felt comfort
- 17:46when I had a live stream. Yeah, no live stream.
- 17:49It felt like I had people with me. You could
- 17:51do a live stream that's, like, so you can't see
- 17:55the phone. Like, they're watching you, but they
- 17:57can't see the phone. But then you can't, like,
- 17:59comment on what's going on. People are just going
- 18:02to watch you. People ask questions. Even still,
- 18:05like, for me especially, especially during that.
- 18:11like going back thinking about that live it's
- 18:13like you build a script for yourself and like
- 18:16it makes gives you comfort that oh i'm talking
- 18:19to people like no matter what you're talking
- 18:23to people so like as long as you're talking it
- 18:26tricks your brain into thinking that oh okay
- 18:28i'm fine yes plus you knew we were watching on
- 18:33the other end of the live stream in this scenario
- 18:35even though like i don't know why i'm saying
- 18:39brie in this case is doing a solo um but if brie
- 18:43was doing a solo would she have access to like
- 18:47talk to it would we would we even know what's
- 18:50going on or is it just a case of we'll be back
- 18:53in 30 minutes regardless that's a good question
- 18:57because i feel like you've got to have a safeguard
- 19:00of that's of like like something Like, in case
- 19:05of, like, worst case scenario, you gotta have
- 19:07some way to reach each other. We're on the phone,
- 19:12but the phone is outside the cell? I don't know.
- 19:17Either that or just, no, like, 30 minutes solo
- 19:20and we'll come back. Hopefully nobody dies. Well,
- 19:26if they do, that's... They can continue the investigation.
- 19:33Oh my gosh. Come on. I was totally baiting Angela
- 19:41to say something. That was totally an Angela
- 19:43sort of... I'm having a hard time focusing. My
- 19:47mind's too, like, busy. You know? There's a reason
- 19:54I took a shot. I feel like that would have made
- 19:57it worse. Yeah. I don't think so. Do you remember
- 20:00the last time you drank on this? You were just...
- 20:03Talking about Bigfoot being the Antichrist. Okay,
- 20:07so no one should die. I'm sorry I tried prompting
- 20:10Angela to interject with one of her Angela -isms.
- 20:13Are you talking about, like, when you said, like,
- 20:16imagine if you, like, you shouldn't do this,
- 20:19but, like, imagine if someone dies or gets killed
- 20:22and then you do some, like, ghost hunting. Like,
- 20:25what kind of activity would that stir up? There
- 20:30we go. That's what I wanted. There we go. That's
- 20:32what we were looking for. I knew if you just
- 20:34planted a seed, Angela would just be like, ooh,
- 20:36okay. This is a hypothetical. Like, what if,
- 20:39you guys? What if? What if in an extreme scenario?
- 20:42I don't want to encourage it, but if someone
- 20:44got murdered. Murdered. Murdered. Murder me,
- 20:53please. Nobody said that. Okay. Okay, I do almost
- 21:01daily say either I need to be euthanized or please
- 21:05take me out back and shoot me. Brianna! Who do
- 21:12you tell that to? My coworkers. Well, I'm glad
- 21:16they're nice people. Tell the wrong person that
- 21:19and you're dead. True. Ange, we sound drunker
- 21:24than you do. What's going on? God, I'm just distracted.
- 21:29It's all the ghosts in the apartment. She's like
- 21:34a dog. The dogs say, squirrel, squirrel. She's
- 21:37like, ghost, ghost. What do we have so far? So
- 21:41far, we have you're in a prison completely alone.
- 21:48No contact with anybody permitted. You're locked
- 21:51in a cell. All cameras are outside the cell.
- 21:55No live stream. You are allowed to have a flashlight.
- 21:59There are capos and rampods in the hallway. You
- 22:02have a word generator device in the cell with
- 22:05you. There's also a mirror in the cell. And at
- 22:09some point, a bat shits on your head. The scariest
- 22:18solo we could come up with. At some point, the
- 22:19fat shits on your head. This is our creation.
- 22:26Is there anything else to add that would make
- 22:30it scarier? We gather a group on the outside
- 22:34and we do some sort of ritual to summon a scary...
- 22:40uh entity yeah we keep baiting angela but she's
- 22:45so like distracted by ghosts that she's not yeah
- 22:48but you like you do that to like make like have
- 22:53the most scariest entity come into how about
- 22:56no why no because it's just stupid or it would
- 23:00make it scarier yes both completely alone however
- 23:11A coven is hired to conduct a conjuring ritual
- 23:18on the grounds while the solo is performed. Yes.
- 23:25Oh, boy. Oh, correction. A random coven. A random
- 23:30coven. Oh, okay. We don't know what that coven's
- 23:35all about. A random coven that has not been vetted
- 23:37or we even know anyone in. It's a Craigslist
- 23:40coven. I was literally adding a random Facebook
- 23:43marketplace coven. No, no, no. You can't even
- 23:46do Facebook marketplace. It's gotta be Craigslist.
- 23:49Yeah, it gotta be Craigslist. A random Craigslist
- 23:52coven is hired to conduct a conjuring ritual
- 23:55on the grounds while the solo is performed. Oh,
- 24:00gosh. The coven is instructed to wear orange
- 24:09jumpsuits simulating escaped prisoners. God,
- 24:21what else could we do? It's gotta be on a night
- 24:29of a new moon so there is no extra light. A new
- 24:33moon at 3 a .m. Ooh, yeah, time. 3 a .m. 3 a
- 24:38.m. Though, honestly, the 3 a .m. thing, I feel
- 24:41like whenever we do investigations, that's when
- 24:46we get the amount of activity. There's nothing
- 24:46then! That's so true. It's always between 10
- 24:50and midnight. Okay, so 11? 11 .30. 11 .30. Goes
- 24:55into midnight. Yes. Because we always get that
- 24:58big jump at midnight. Yeah. So 11. Not at 3.
- 25:03Yeah, it's pretty quiet. Yeah. We can do 11 .33.
- 25:0911 .33. Our scariest solo investigation takes
- 25:14place at 11 .33pm on a new moon. When should
- 25:21the bat sit on your head? 12 .33. At midnight?
- 25:28A bat? Well, we can't plan when the bat shit's
- 25:31gonna happen. No, no, we just gotta keep... You
- 25:33gotta stay in the cell until the bat shit. I
- 25:38just thought of something. I just thought of
- 25:40something that you guys would absolutely hate.
- 25:44What? Having Boo Buddy. Oh my god, no. Boo Buddy
- 25:50right out of reach outside the cell? Yeah, I
- 25:53wouldn't mind that. That wouldn't make me scared.
- 25:56That would just make me angry. But that would
- 25:58feed it. Yeah, and you know Boo Buddy says those
- 26:01creepy, like, little kid voice things at random
- 26:04times. I'm adding it. We know your hatred for
- 26:09Boo Buddy, and I share the sentiments, Angela,
- 26:12so I'm adding this, because I know it would frustrate
- 26:14me to the point it would heighten my anxiety.
- 26:17That's fair. That's fair. Gosh. Cat balls and
- 26:22REM pods line the hallway. Boo Buddy. Is just
- 26:26out of reach. Is just out of reach. And cannot
- 26:29be turned off. So annoying. Good question Angela
- 26:35alluded to. What? How long is the solo? I'd say
- 26:39max 30 minutes. But this is a scarier scenario.
- 26:44I'm just thinking practical. Should we just say
- 26:4830 minutes then? No, I do think it should be
- 26:5130 minutes because all activity happens in like...
- 26:55a 20 30 minute time frame and then it starts
- 26:59dwindling out that's usually how the patterns
- 27:03go okay what if you round up a little bit starts
- 27:07at 11 33 we get you at 12 15. so 45 minutes 45
- 27:12yeah that seems good I'm just imagining. I mean,
- 27:20my solo at the State House was around that long
- 27:23for 45 minutes, I'd say. I'm just trying to imagine
- 27:28spending that amount of time in a haunted cell.
- 27:35Ugh. I couldn't even do 20 minutes in the basement
- 27:38of Madison. Is there anything else we can make
- 27:42this, like, even scarier by adding? Like, is
- 27:45there anything possible? Ooh, I did have an idea
- 27:51that just flashed across my brain. What if instead
- 27:54of a flashlight, you had candles, like a candle
- 27:59and matches? Because that would constantly have
- 28:03moving light. I think having a light that randomly
- 28:08just flashes in that general area would be pretty
- 28:13damn scary. A flashlight is programmed? To just
- 28:16shut off, like just turn on and off in five minute
- 28:19intervals or something where it goes on for five
- 28:21minutes and you're without it for five. No, I
- 28:23was not even thinking that. I'm just thinking
- 28:25like, just on and off, on and off. Just like
- 28:30that once in a while. Because it's just like,
- 28:33you just have your eyes open, you're in the pitch
- 28:35black. And then all of a sudden it's like, and
- 28:38then you see everything around you. And then
- 28:40I'm picturing like. The possessed nun, like,
- 28:44standing in the door. I'm thinking, what that's
- 28:46making me think of, like, is, like, one of those
- 28:49shutter lights that's constantly flashing. Like,
- 28:52a rave light. Oh god, that sounds even worse.
- 28:55That would be terrible. That would be even worse.
- 29:00What's worse, that? Like, a rave light? What's
- 29:02that, is that, like, the proper term? I have
- 29:05no idea. Well, but it's like a strobe light,
- 29:07right? A strobe light! Yeah, a strobe light.
- 29:09There we go. Strobe light or old school... Realistically,
- 29:15we probably wouldn't be allowed to have a real
- 29:17candle in an old building, but like a fake candle
- 29:21or a strobe light. What would it be? Yeah, a
- 29:24fake candle wouldn't work. There's no point in
- 29:28the fake candle. It's just strobe light, yeah.
- 29:32You're allowed a flashlight, but it's a strobe
- 29:35light. So you have the option, be in the pitch
- 29:39black or turn on the strobe light. I think that
- 29:41makes it scarier. Yeah. Any other additions,
- 29:45or is this kind of like the... No, I think that's
- 29:48pretty terrifying. I don't know what could make
- 29:50that scarier. Let me repeat this. So, there's
- 29:56a haunted prison. The bigger, the better. You
- 29:59are completely alone inside the prison. However,
- 30:02on the grounds of the prison... A random Craigslist
- 30:05coven is hired to conduct a ritual on the grounds.
- 30:09They are instructed to wear orange jumpsuits
- 30:12to simulate escaped prisoners. We start the solo
- 30:16at 11 .33pm on a new moon when we lock whoever's
- 30:20doing the solo in the cell, and we enter the
- 30:25building to get them 45 minutes later at 12 .15.
- 30:28All cameras are outside the cell, no livestream
- 30:31or phone. No contact with anyone on the outside.
- 30:35You are allowed to have a flashlight, but it's
- 30:37a strobe light. There are cat balls and REM pods
- 30:39lining the hallway, and Boo Buddy is just out
- 30:41of reach and cannot be turned off. There's a
- 30:44word generator device in the cell with you, as
- 30:47well as a mirror. And we purposefully place a
- 30:51bat in the cell in hopes that it shits on your
- 30:53head. My only question remaining. Sounds so good.
- 30:59What should the threshold be? How many listens
- 31:03does this episode need to get for us to make
- 31:07this a reality? 100 ,000. 100 ,000? Oh, I was
- 31:13thinking like a realistic. Realistic? No, I don't
- 31:17want to do this. What are you talking about?
- 31:20We're not going to get 100 ,000 listens. Yeah,
- 31:22that's impossible. I'd say 1 ,000. If we get
- 31:261 ,000. 1 ,000 by a certain day. Okay. I think
- 31:32even, like, I think a thousand is still a lot
- 31:35if you guys are trying to be realistic. You guys,
- 31:40you say you guys as if, like, you're not included
- 31:43in this. Four hundred. I was even gonna go lower
- 31:48than that being realistic. Three fifty. I'd say
- 31:53one fifty. No, we could get that. We could get
- 31:57that. We average. In the 40 to 60 range per episode.
- 32:04So that's double? No. It's got to be at least
- 32:07500. Okay. No, I wouldn't say 500. Yeah, let's
- 32:11say 400. 400, and we play Jenga, and someone
- 32:16has to do a solo in a jail. So when's this coming
- 32:21out? Oh, bright computer. Okay, this is coming
- 32:24out. Next week on. July 30th. So if by. September
- 32:331st. This episode has. 400 listens. We will do
- 32:39a. Live streamed. Jenga game. We'll do best 2
- 32:45out of 3. Live. And by the end of. The year.
- 32:52If possible. At least one year from the date
- 32:55of the recording. We will. book a big abandoned
- 32:59haunted prison and make this a reality. Ugh.
- 33:05I'm just, uh, because I'm going to end up losing
- 33:08Jenga. You're the one that said 400! I said 1
- 33:13,000! Well, I said 100 ,000 and you guys said,
- 33:17no, you gotta be more realistic. Because we're
- 33:19not getting 100 ,000. If we said 100 ,000, Taben's
- 33:23going to be out there sharing this 5 million
- 33:25times for no reason. Think about Taven. Poor
- 33:28Taven. At least give him a purpose in life. Come
- 33:32on. He's gonna be sharing this and then he's
- 33:35like, why am I even sharing this? There's no
- 33:37point. Not even Taven knows 100 ,000 people.
- 33:43I'm gonna lose, Jenga. Now, if every episode
- 33:48of Malice in the Mitten was a person, we would
- 33:51have 100 ,000 votes. They have a lot of episodes.
- 33:55Yeah. Oh, goodness. Especially if you add up
- 33:59everything on the XL network. Okay. So enough
- 34:07babbling. We need to make it clear. Everyone
- 34:10that's still listening, you are the November
- 34:12fans. If you want us in November, we'll do it
- 34:16in November just for you. If you want a November
- 34:20live stream, a special two out of three Jenga
- 34:23match live only for you. We'll give a Zoom link
- 34:26only to the November fans to watch that will
- 34:30determine who, within a year's time, will do
- 34:33this terrifying solo in the prison while a coven
- 34:36is outside. We'll play it straight. We'll even
- 34:39find a Craigslist coven. We'll let ChatGPT write
- 34:44the Craigslist post. Get this to 400 listens
- 34:53by September 1st. And September 1st is a Tuesday.
- 35:03So got a couple weeks to do it. If we do somehow
- 35:08get enough listens, we will record an announcement
- 35:11on that Tuesday, September 1st, to post as that
- 35:15week's episode saying, fuck Bree, you're fucked.
- 35:21Okay, step outside of yourselves for a moment.
- 35:26just think as like an objective third party who
- 35:30would be the best so like who would contribute
- 35:34or create the best footage to watch back like
- 35:38who would make for the best solo on a playback
- 35:41not me i feel like you brianna I feel like Ben
- 35:51or I would probably do... I'm glad that everyone
- 35:55agrees it's not me. Yeah, we were just like,
- 35:58it better not be Ange. I hope it's Brie. No!
- 36:02Just for that, I hope it's you, Ben. Well, you
- 36:05know I'm just gonna, like... Something's gonna
- 36:07happen, and I'm gonna say afterwards, like, yeah,
- 36:09I think I saw, like, an alien, you guys. And
- 36:11then we're gonna have a whole podcast about,
- 36:13like, my alien sighting, and then you guys are
- 36:15gonna be like, eh, this Ben guy's kinda nuts.
- 36:17I just saw an alien. God, I hope it doesn't get
- 36:21400 listens. I'm not gonna listen to that episode.
- 36:25I've listened to every single episode so far,
- 36:28just, like, as a refresher, because I don't remember
- 36:30what we talked about by the time that the episodes
- 36:33come out. And... I'm not going to listen to that
- 36:36episode because I don't want to add to the total.
- 36:40You're that scared? I mean, that was the point
- 36:44of the episode. I do not want to end up having
- 36:48to do a solo in a haunted jail cell. But we know.
- 36:54Angela's not on right now. Should we form a pact
- 36:56right now that if this happens, if either of
- 37:00us loses, we make it in the moment a best three
- 37:03out of five? Just so that... So we'll make a
- 37:07pact right now, okay? Angela's gonna lose this.
- 37:12She's not on right now. It's 3 out of 5. Anyways,
- 37:17continue. Sorry, I just wanted to get that out.
- 37:20Angela's gonna lose, no matter what. I was gonna
- 37:22say... What are you talking about? We didn't
- 37:28say anything. Thanks for listening to this week's
- 37:32episode of Paranormal Lens. If you liked what
- 37:35you heard, every five -star rating and positive
- 37:37review tells the algorithms we're a worthy podcast
- 37:40and pushes us out to more listeners. We appreciate
- 37:44each and every one of you, and we'll see you
- 37:46next Thursday for another paranormal deep dive.
