- 0:02Speaker 1: Today's riety Big ninety eight point seven. It's Gabe and Angie.
- 0:05Speaker 1: We have some rain and snow this afternoon with a
- 0:07Speaker 1: high of thirty seven. All right, we start the program
- 0:13Speaker 1: off with little victories here this morning. Angie, what is
- 0:16Speaker 1: a little victory you have? It could be from yesterday,
- 0:19Speaker 1: it could be from the week, It could be at
- 0:21Speaker 1: any point. Maybe you want to have a victory as
- 0:24Speaker 1: it is April Fool's Day.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I forgot I need to prank my kids.
- 0:28Speaker 3: But last night, is that a thing you do? Yes,
- 0:32Speaker 3: it sure is.
- 0:33Speaker 2: But last night I clipped my son's fingernails.
- 0:37Speaker 3: My youngest kid.
- 0:38Speaker 2: He's seven, and his nails get really long because he
- 0:42Speaker 2: absolutely hates having his fingernails clipped. But yesterday I caught
- 0:46Speaker 2: him in the right, perfect mood and he was like, yeah,
- 0:48Speaker 2: that's fine, you can clip my fingernails and snippy, snip, snip.
- 0:51Speaker 3: I got them all very proud.
- 0:53Speaker 4: I like that.
- 0:54Speaker 1: All right, that's cool. You know it's funny. I am
- 0:56Speaker 1: a lot like your son. I'm not a huge fan
- 0:58Speaker 1: of fingernails being clipped or toe. This is a bit gross,
- 1:01Speaker 1: but I actually kind of just like bite them off
- 1:04Speaker 1: or rip them off, like my toenails after the shower
- 1:06Speaker 1: stop when they're soft or whatever. I'll just kind of
- 1:09Speaker 1: grind away at it and tear it in half.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I thought you were saying you bite
- 1:13Speaker 2: your toenails an thoughts.
- 1:15Speaker 5: Please do not know if.
- 1:18Speaker 4: I could, I probably would.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Gabe, I'm so horrified right now.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Well I don't do it.
- 1:24Speaker 2: So okay, I don't like that the intention is there, honestly.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Well, my little victory, I don't know if i'd call
- 1:31Speaker 1: it little. It kind of nice.
- 1:32Speaker 4: But I got my taxes back yesterday.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Oh that is a little yeahtory.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Nice to kind of randomly check the old bank account.
- 1:39Speaker 1: There's an extra couple bucks in there and be like,
- 1:41Speaker 1: oh wait where did I get this? Oh yeah, Uncle Sam.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Uncle Sam helped me out. So that's kind of nice,
- 1:47Speaker 1: especially first of the month, you know rent.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Doing all that stuff.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Oh yeah, oh that is perfect timing.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Perfect, Yeah, exactly right. So let us know, do you
- 1:55Speaker 1: have a little victory. It could be from yesterday, it
- 1:58Speaker 1: could be from this past week. You can text us
- 2:00Speaker 1: or call us at seven oh one two eight zero
- 2:03Speaker 1: eight seven's variety Big ninety eight point seven. It's Gabe
- 2:09Speaker 1: and Angie, some sun, some son. Exc that's yesterday today,
- 2:14Speaker 1: right today, some snow and rain, excuse me, with a
- 2:18Speaker 1: high of about thirty seven, no sun at all, April fools.
- 2:27Speaker 1: I was having this conversation with a buddy of mine
- 2:30Speaker 1: I lived within college yesterday on the phone. I'm a
- 2:33Speaker 1: big like check in with my boys, and all it
- 2:35Speaker 1: ends up being is us reminiscent.
- 2:36Speaker 4: You know, Oh I love that.
- 2:38Speaker 1: And we were talking about this time in college where
- 2:41Speaker 1: it was one of the more petty things I've ever
- 2:44Speaker 1: done in my life.
- 2:45Speaker 4: But someone had owed me and my but there was
- 2:47Speaker 4: like a group.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Of four of us that lived in this house and
- 2:51Speaker 1: one person didn't have his like internet money for the month, right,
- 2:55Speaker 1: So of course we all covered it and we changed
- 2:58Speaker 1: the Wi Fi password until he could come up with
- 3:01Speaker 1: his thirty eight dollars.
- 3:02Speaker 4: Yay, but yeah, very's.
- 3:04Speaker 3: Only thirty eight don't work? Oh well, when you're in college,
- 3:08Speaker 3: maybe that's a lot.
- 3:08Speaker 1: I mean, you know that when you're nineteen and have
- 3:11Speaker 1: no money, that that's like a night of going out.
- 3:13Speaker 3: You know that's true.
- 3:15Speaker 2: You know what, Gabe, I appreciate your petty I consider
- 3:18Speaker 2: myself a bit of a petty queen. And I, oh, really, yeah,
- 3:21Speaker 2: I mean I live for at twenty petty five, like
- 3:24Speaker 2: I love Petty.
- 3:26Speaker 4: I've never heard that.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Yeah, so I did a password change before it was
- 3:31Speaker 2: I'm a huge Game of Thrones fan, which I know
- 3:33Speaker 2: you are.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Yes, so we have much to discuss in this life.
- 3:36Speaker 2: But it was the series finale and I was hosting
- 3:39Speaker 2: a cosplay party to watch the series finale and one
- 3:45Speaker 2: of my girlfriends had been saying all week that she
- 3:47Speaker 2: was going to go, but she's kind of flaky and
- 3:50Speaker 2: I just had a feeling that she wasn't going to
- 3:52Speaker 2: show up, and very last minute she said, oh, I'm sorry,
- 3:55Speaker 2: I can't make it.
- 3:56Speaker 3: And so, being the petty queen I am.
- 3:59Speaker 2: I changed the password, the login info for HBL or
- 4:05Speaker 2: whatever because.
- 4:07Speaker 3: She was using my login.
- 4:08Speaker 2: And so if you're not gonna show up to the party,
- 4:10Speaker 2: guess what, You're not watching the series finale.
- 4:13Speaker 3: On my dime.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Girl, you don't get to see Thrones finale. Them is
- 4:18Speaker 1: fighting actions right there.
- 4:20Speaker 3: We're still friends, It's fine, she understood.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 4:25Speaker 1: We do have Casey on the phone. Casey, what's one
- 4:27Speaker 1: of the more petty things you've ever done.
- 4:29Speaker 6: So I worked for a company. I always had to
- 4:32Speaker 6: work over time and stayed late and everything like all
- 4:36Speaker 6: the time, and it was my boss would always ask
- 4:38Speaker 6: me because she knew I'd get it done come time,
- 4:41Speaker 6: that the business wasn't doing well. Because I had been
- 4:44Speaker 6: there the longest, I was the first person that they
- 4:47Speaker 6: laid off.
- 4:47Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:48Speaker 6: So about a month before they had laid me off,
- 4:53Speaker 6: I had seen my manager on a date with a guy.
- 4:57Speaker 2: That won her husband.
- 4:59Speaker 6: So I made an anonymous phone call to the husband
- 5:02Speaker 6: to let him know. After I got laid off, I
- 5:04Speaker 6: was mad.
- 5:07Speaker 7: She wins for the day, Big ninety eight Gabe.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Sometimes you become the thing you've always hated the most.
- 5:20Speaker 2: And I completed that transformation last night.
- 5:23Speaker 4: Oh no.
- 5:24Speaker 2: We were having a favorite TV watching night, me and
- 5:28Speaker 2: the kids, and so each of us got to pick
- 5:30Speaker 2: a favorite episode of a show and then we would
- 5:33Speaker 2: watch it. Pretty easy. But because it was like SpongeBob
- 5:38Speaker 2: Phineas and Fir Big City Greens, like these cartoons that
- 5:41Speaker 2: have multiple episodes, I turned to chat GPT to ask
- 5:47Speaker 2: what season and.
- 5:48Speaker 3: What episode number is this episode?
- 5:51Speaker 2: Right? Okay, but chat GPT, I don't know, just kept
- 5:54Speaker 2: getting it wrong, kept telling me the wrong season number,
- 5:57Speaker 2: so I chat GPT.
- 5:59Speaker 4: Was wrong and gen no, when does that happen?
- 6:03Speaker 3: Well, apparently yesterday a lot.
- 6:05Speaker 2: And so I was engaging in this like playful banter
- 6:10Speaker 2: with chat GPT to try and get the right answers.
- 6:14Speaker 2: And then I realized, girl, are you kind of like
- 6:19Speaker 2: flirting and being playful with chat GPT?
- 6:23Speaker 3: Who have I become?
- 6:24Speaker 2: Because I have always made fun of those stories where
- 6:28Speaker 2: someone's like, I just I fell in love with the
- 6:31Speaker 2: AI robot and now we're getting married. AI is my
- 6:34Speaker 2: best friend, and I always see those stories and think.
- 6:36Speaker 4: What a loser.
- 6:38Speaker 3: How could you fall for a robot?
- 6:41Speaker 2: Right? And here I am trying to make chat GPT giggle.
- 6:44Speaker 3: I'm so ashamed of.
- 6:45Speaker 1: You're flirting with the robots. Huh, well, good for you,
- 6:48Speaker 1: you're flirting with AI.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Ew I don't like it. I'm telling you, I've become
- 6:53Speaker 2: who I've always hated.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Has this happened to you? Maybe not with AI, but.
- 6:58Speaker 4: No, not quite the same.
- 6:59Speaker 1: But I have no As I've gotten older, so I'm
- 7:01Speaker 1: thirty four years old. And when I was a kid
- 7:03Speaker 1: and we'd go out to eat, my dad always would
- 7:06Speaker 1: talk to our server, whether you know guy girl, old person,
- 7:10Speaker 1: young person, that didn't matter. He would talk to them
- 7:13Speaker 1: like they were best friends, and like engage with them
- 7:16Speaker 1: about their life. And when you're nine, you know that's
- 7:20Speaker 1: a nightmare. It's like, Dad, please shut up, just let
- 7:22Speaker 1: this person do their job. Chocolate milk. And now I
- 7:26Speaker 1: sit and engage in two three minute long stories with servers,
- 7:30Speaker 1: and my wife just sits there, puts her face down.
- 7:32Speaker 1: She's like, Gabe, they are trying to get to work.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Can you please, for the love guys, shut up, honey.
- 7:36Speaker 1: So I have now turned into the person who sits
- 7:38Speaker 1: in chit chats with the server like we've been best
- 7:41Speaker 1: friends forever. Now there's multiple reasons. One, I'm naturally a
- 7:44Speaker 1: curious person. I want to learn about their life. Two,
- 7:47Speaker 1: I'm kind of kissing butt a little bit because I
- 7:49Speaker 1: want my food and all that stuff to come out faster.
- 7:52Speaker 1: When I need that third bush light, I don't want
- 7:55Speaker 1: to sitting on the old windowsill for a couple of seconds.
- 8:01Speaker 4: Today's riety big ninety eight point seven. It's Gabe and Angie.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Maybe some rain and snow this afternoon with a high
- 8:06Speaker 1: of thirty seven. We got this interesting text yesterday. Angie,
- 8:11Speaker 1: I don't even know if you saw this, but someone
- 8:12Speaker 1: did text us here Big ninety eight point seven at
- 8:14Speaker 1: seven oh one to eight zero one nine eight seven,
- 8:17Speaker 1: and it involves a food challenge that goes down here
- 8:21Speaker 1: in Fargo. It's at Bosses Chicken and Pizza, the boss
- 8:25Speaker 1: Hog Challenge. Essentially, you eat just a giant pizza pretty much, and.
- 8:30Speaker 3: Then what do you get a challenge?
- 8:32Speaker 4: I didn't get that far in my research.
- 8:34Speaker 1: I'm sure to get some kind of shirt, and I
- 8:36Speaker 1: bet the pizza's free.
- 8:37Speaker 4: That's why I had to guess.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Yeah, so I was kind of curious, have you ever
- 8:43Speaker 1: done an eating challenge in your life?
- 8:45Speaker 4: Have you ever?
- 8:46Speaker 3: Oh?
- 8:46Speaker 4: Yeah, okay.
- 8:47Speaker 2: I was a YouTuber for a while and like, oh
- 8:50Speaker 2: yeah you. Rhythm at the time was spicy food challenges.
- 8:54Speaker 2: How many of this can you eat challenges? So I
- 8:56Speaker 2: did that and those weren't fun, but I was getting
- 9:00Speaker 2: paid to do that, so like, you do what you
- 9:02Speaker 2: gotta do. And I did a pie eating contest on
- 9:05Speaker 2: Pie Day when I was nine months pregnant, and I won,
- 9:12Speaker 2: but then the prize was more pie and like that.
- 9:15Speaker 2: At that point, I was so full of pie and
- 9:18Speaker 2: baby that it was not worth it to me, that.
- 9:21Speaker 4: Does seem like a terrible prize.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Hey, stuff, you're face full of this and then you
- 9:25Speaker 1: just get more and more of this, Yeah, to eat
- 9:27Speaker 1: on a later date.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know. I don't food challenges.
- 9:31Speaker 2: I don't know, especially at my big age, if they're
- 9:34Speaker 2: worth it anymore.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Sure, I participated in a couple fake eating challenges my
- 9:40Speaker 1: buddies and I at college. We would when we were
- 9:42Speaker 1: in at Winona State University, which is in southeastern Minnesota.
- 9:46Speaker 1: We you know, you have like your dinner pass or whatever,
- 9:49Speaker 1: you get two swipes for the day. I think a
- 9:51Speaker 1: lot of colleges do that. We would do these fake
- 9:54Speaker 1: challenges for me. And one of these was the forty
- 9:57Speaker 1: nugget challenge. So I had forty minutes essentially to eat
- 10:02Speaker 1: forty nuggets and nugget a minute, nugget a minute, and
- 10:06Speaker 1: unbeknownst to me, right so, I'm struggling through this, I get.
- 10:09Speaker 1: I was fine until about thirty and that's what I
- 10:12Speaker 1: really started to slow down a bit, But I was
- 10:15Speaker 1: able to complete this challenge. Unbeknownst to me, when I
- 10:20Speaker 1: was going up to the cooks getting more nuggets, these
- 10:24Speaker 1: dudes were secretly adding more chicken nuggets to my plate.
- 10:28Speaker 1: So I really housed like forty four nuggets in or
- 10:33Speaker 1: forty five and forty minutes, which I don't know if
- 10:36Speaker 1: I ate a nugget for like half a year after this.
- 10:39Speaker 2: It was a part okay, But then so you didn't
- 10:42Speaker 2: even win anything.
- 10:43Speaker 4: Oh I won some pride is what I want. I
- 10:45Speaker 4: get al right?
- 10:46Speaker 1: Seven oh one too? Eight zero one to nine eight seven.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Have you ever competed in a food eating challenge? Give
- 10:52Speaker 1: us call or text us and we do have Chris
- 10:54Speaker 1: on the line. Chris, how you doing, man, not bad,
- 10:56Speaker 1: I'm doing great. Thanks for asking. We want to know here.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Have you ever comp or participated in some kind of
- 11:02Speaker 1: eating contest eating challenge?
- 11:05Speaker 6: Yeah, so a few years ago I did a spicy
- 11:08Speaker 6: hot wing challenge.
- 11:10Speaker 8: They made you eat.
- 11:12Speaker 4: Yeah, they made you ten like ghost pepper hot wings
- 11:16Speaker 4: in ten minutes.
- 11:17Speaker 2: And ghost peppers are like the super the hottest ones,
- 11:20Speaker 2: right yeah yeah, yeah, oh my gosh.
- 11:23Speaker 4: And so then you had to wait ten minutes afterwards
- 11:26Speaker 4: without drinking anything, and then and then you win.
- 11:29Speaker 1: That sounds like a nightmare. The waiting after would be
- 11:32Speaker 1: the hardest part, I.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Think, Yeah, And like, what do you even win? Because
- 11:36Speaker 2: that does not sound.
- 11:37Speaker 4: Worth it to me.
- 11:39Speaker 6: Well, I got the wings for free, and I got
- 11:45Speaker 6: a T shirt and my picture is up on the wall.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Wow, well is your picture still up on the wall.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Well, the place closed down. Start today's variety, Big ninety
- 12:01Speaker 1: eight point seven.
- 12:02Speaker 4: Maybe some rain and snow today.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Ready, Ready, that's he is piping hot today.
- 12:09Speaker 3: I know Amanda Stills the Sea. Let's see.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Courtney Kardashian and Scott Dassick's ten year old son Rain
- 12:19Speaker 2: hopped on Instagram Live to shut down rumors that Justin
- 12:23Speaker 2: Bieber is his real dad.
- 12:25Speaker 8: No, he's b bro, I swear Justin Bieber want my dad,
- 12:29Speaker 8: Scotty Scotty Scott is? I think Justin Bieber was sixteen
- 12:34Speaker 8: when I got born. Yeah, I don't think my mom.
- 12:36Speaker 6: Would do that.
- 12:37Speaker 7: Love that, bro, I think that, he said, I don't
- 12:42Speaker 7: think my mom would do that.
- 12:44Speaker 2: Truly, it's that Justin Bieber was nineteen that when when
- 12:48Speaker 2: he was born. And Courtney Kardashian does date really young.
- 12:52Speaker 2: She's with Travis Barker now, so whatever, But she dated
- 12:56Speaker 2: a guy who was way younger.
- 12:58Speaker 4: Nothing wrong with.
- 12:58Speaker 2: That, nothing wrong with but I like that, Like Rain,
- 13:01Speaker 2: you don't know she dates young ones. But I think
- 13:04Speaker 2: it's insane that he's only ten and like has heard
- 13:08Speaker 2: these rumors, like being famous is wild because you try
- 13:11Speaker 2: to protect your kids from things. But like he's heard
- 13:14Speaker 2: that there's rumors that his dad's not his dad.
- 13:17Speaker 3: What else are.
- 13:17Speaker 1: They hearing dad's When you're young and you dream of like, oh,
- 13:20Speaker 1: I want to grow up and be rich and famous
- 13:22Speaker 1: and blah blah blah.
- 13:23Speaker 4: The older I get, the more it's I just want
- 13:25Speaker 4: to be rich.
- 13:26Speaker 1: I don't think being famous is yeah, really all that
- 13:28Speaker 1: it's cracked up to be with just all of the
- 13:31Speaker 1: all of the things that go with it.
- 13:33Speaker 2: I agree, but you know what to Justin Bieber, I say,
- 13:36Speaker 2: you are not God.
- 13:40Speaker 4: I didn't know you had that one in the back pocket.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Max has confirmed that White Lotus is getting a fourth.
- 13:47Speaker 3: Season and it's returning to the Mediterranean.
- 13:50Speaker 2: In season two they were in uh Italy, and now
- 13:53Speaker 2: they're going to be in Mikinos. I like that I
- 13:56Speaker 2: have confirmation that a season four is coming before the
- 13:59Speaker 2: current season ends, just in time because the third season
- 14:03Speaker 2: wraps up next Sunday.
- 14:05Speaker 3: I'm very excited.
- 14:06Speaker 1: I like when shows do that as well, when you
- 14:07Speaker 1: go into the last episode knowing, oh I get some more.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Yeah, so it's not a cliffhanger, like do I even
- 14:13Speaker 2: get another season of my favorite show? So thank you
- 14:16Speaker 2: White Lotus, Thank you Max for confirming.
- 14:18Speaker 1: It's like the opposite of what Lasso or ted Lasso
- 14:21Speaker 1: did to us. Season three ended and there was just
- 14:24Speaker 1: nothing and now finally it's come out that there will
- 14:26Speaker 1: be a season.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:28Speaker 1: I hated that though, because you're sitting there going, oh,
- 14:30Speaker 1: they could totally keep going.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Well, I'm glad that they confirmed it, and also this
- 14:35Speaker 2: would be a good time for me to join in
- 14:36Speaker 2: on the Ted Lasso. Dave Coolier aka Joey from Full
- 14:44Speaker 2: House is.
- 14:45Speaker 3: Cancer free all right.
- 14:48Speaker 2: He was diagnosed last year with stage three non Hodgkin
- 14:51Speaker 2: lymphoma and he underwent chemotherapy. Halfway through the treatment, they
- 14:55Speaker 2: were like, they're no more cancer cells. But he went
- 14:58Speaker 2: a little bit longer just to like make sure, and
- 15:00Speaker 2: so yes, officially cancer free. And as a kid who
- 15:03Speaker 2: grew up in the nineties obsessed with Full House, I
- 15:07Speaker 2: just thought, I don't know, is that.
- 15:12Speaker 4: An Alanis Morisset reference there?
- 15:14Speaker 3: I feel so proud of myself.
- 15:16Speaker 1: You had a couple in the back pocket. I didn't
- 15:18Speaker 1: know you had Anya Gooday's variety Big ninety eight point seven.
- 15:24Speaker 7: Oh, they're not full in for April Fool's Day. Weather
- 15:26Speaker 7: today is just going to be gross. We've got this
- 15:29Speaker 7: winter store morning and it starts at one o'clock this afternoon.
- 15:31Speaker 5: It goes until seven o'clock tomorrow.
- 15:33Speaker 7: Heavy snow four to ten inches expected here in the
- 15:36Speaker 7: FM area.
- 15:36Speaker 5: With wing us up to about thirty five miles per hour.
- 15:39Speaker 4: All right, good to hear that, boys, Amanda is back.
- 15:43Speaker 4: How are you doing?
- 15:44Speaker 1: We are going to hear about the actual thing you
- 15:46Speaker 1: were nervous of at about seven eleven Here today, I'm
- 15:50Speaker 1: just checking in, how are you.
- 15:52Speaker 7: I'm doing good. I am slamming coffee. I am exhausted.
- 15:55Speaker 7: For those of you who are wondering why I was
- 15:57Speaker 7: off yesterday, it was my daughter, Sidney Lewan's.
- 16:00Speaker 5: I had a sleepover.
- 16:01Speaker 7: There were five girls six and seven years old, and
- 16:05Speaker 7: right now I'm just going to keep drinking as much
- 16:07Speaker 7: coffee as possible.
- 16:09Speaker 1: You know, I wouldn't be a surprised if a man
- 16:11Speaker 1: went to the old fridge and put something a little stronger.
- 16:13Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, that's hoilarious.
- 16:15Speaker 1: It would make for a very interesting morning. Show here today,
- 16:17Speaker 1: it would well, I'm glad you're back. It's good to
- 16:19Speaker 1: hear that voice again. It's good to hear Amanda doing
- 16:23Speaker 1: the weather. I think, oh.
- 16:24Speaker 7: Man, seriously, though, why why do we have to get
- 16:28Speaker 7: this kind of water right now? Yesterday out at the park,
- 16:31Speaker 7: hanging out even last night, like it was cool, it
- 16:33Speaker 7: was like forty three.
- 16:34Speaker 5: I want to say a something like that.
- 16:36Speaker 7: Yeah, but we're just in that where the sun is
- 16:39Speaker 7: actually hot, you know what I mean, more like getting
- 16:41Speaker 7: to that point, yeah.
- 16:42Speaker 5: Where it's feeling good.
- 16:44Speaker 7: There is no snow, our little pond behind there, all
- 16:47Speaker 7: the ice is off, and then you see this.
- 16:50Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, come on, Yeah, yesterday I took the
- 16:53Speaker 1: dog across the streets to the park. It was so
- 16:55Speaker 1: nice just to play thattch and I'm not you don't
- 16:58Speaker 1: have a care in the world. And now it's like, oh,
- 17:00Speaker 1: there's gonna be snow and now, you know, which always
- 17:03Speaker 1: just leads to like some ice or even just even
- 17:05Speaker 1: if it's just gross weather. We really are falling into
- 17:09Speaker 1: that fall spring kind of deal.
- 17:11Speaker 7: Oh absolutely, we had already kind of done some of that. Well,
- 17:13Speaker 7: you did it last week, remember your garage cleaning.
- 17:15Speaker 4: A little bit.
- 17:16Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, yeah, we finally got just that last layer
- 17:19Speaker 7: of just ick from having snow and all this stuff.
- 17:23Speaker 7: I'm like, golly, I'm just I sound so old, but
- 17:26Speaker 7: this is just so depressive.
- 17:28Speaker 1: I have no clue what we're gonna do with that
- 17:31Speaker 1: like glider rocking chair in our back patio, cause I'm
- 17:34Speaker 1: not putting it back. I like having that room in
- 17:36Speaker 1: the garage too much. I'm gonna have to find a tarp.
- 17:38Speaker 1: I don't know what I'm gonna do, but I have
- 17:40Speaker 1: no idea where it's going.
- 17:41Speaker 7: I think you're gonna need to tarpa for sure.
- 17:46Speaker 4: Today's variety, Big ninety eight point seven.
- 17:48Speaker 5: All right, we've got that winter store morning. It starts
- 17:50Speaker 5: at one o'clock to day.
- 17:51Speaker 7: It goes until seven o'clock on Wednesday, heavy snow, four
- 17:54Speaker 7: to ten inches of snow expected and wing.
- 17:56Speaker 5: Us up to about thirty five miles per hour.
- 18:01Speaker 4: All right, Amanda is back.
- 18:02Speaker 1: She celebrated a big birthday this weekend.
- 18:06Speaker 5: I did Sidney Luan turn six, and.
- 18:08Speaker 7: I uh, I decided to go all out.
- 18:13Speaker 5: I turned sixty.
- 18:14Speaker 4: That is how I feel in this morning.
- 18:15Speaker 7: It was so much fun I was able to It
- 18:18Speaker 7: was about two months ago when I had started looking
- 18:21Speaker 7: at her birthday celebration, like what are we gonna do?
- 18:24Speaker 7: She has not had an actual birthday party. Not only
- 18:27Speaker 7: was she a COVID kid, but then her birthday was
- 18:29Speaker 7: on Easter right last year, so it just it never
- 18:32Speaker 7: really worked out anyway. They did not have school in
- 18:34Speaker 7: Westbargo yesterday something at a Sunday birthday. Let's make it
- 18:38Speaker 7: a sleep vibe.
- 18:39Speaker 4: Yes.
- 18:39Speaker 7: Yes, there's about three or four neighbor girls that are
- 18:41Speaker 7: all the same age and they have wanted to do
- 18:44Speaker 7: a sleepover for so long, and so I bit the bullet.
- 18:47Speaker 5: I'm like, we're doing it.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Let's do it.
- 18:49Speaker 5: Girls.
- 18:50Speaker 1: So were you wait, were you the first one to
- 18:52Speaker 1: kind of jumpstart this. Yes, it sounds like there's some
- 18:55Speaker 1: other moms in West Fargo who better get in rotation here?
- 18:58Speaker 7: Oh I set the bar and uh in terms of
- 19:02Speaker 7: like the length of it, right, So it was one
- 19:06Speaker 7: of those things where yeah, they can come over and
- 19:08Speaker 7: spend the night, which, by the way, that was the
- 19:10Speaker 7: question that I was so nervous about. I'm like, are
- 19:13Speaker 7: they gonna wake up in the middle of the night
- 19:14Speaker 7: be scared and I'm gonna have to walk them home?
- 19:16Speaker 2: Right?
- 19:17Speaker 1: Uh?
- 19:17Speaker 4: Which happens with kids.
- 19:20Speaker 7: I also thought they're gonna go to betterly, like there's
- 19:23Speaker 7: all these things right that you're going through. Six and
- 19:26Speaker 7: seven year old girls stayed up until eleven o'clock wow,
- 19:29Speaker 7: playing GoFish, having snacks, watching Mowana too.
- 19:34Speaker 5: It was so much fun.
- 19:35Speaker 7: I had set up little tents in the living room
- 19:37Speaker 7: and I ended up sleeping on the couch. Finally, at
- 19:41Speaker 7: about eleven o eight, I'm like, you, girls, I'm gonna
- 19:43Speaker 7: have to go ahead and shut the TV down. We're
- 19:45Speaker 7: gonna have to rest, like I am exhausted, Like I
- 19:48Speaker 7: can't do this anymore.
- 19:49Speaker 4: Eleven o'clock A man that checks out. I love it.
- 19:52Speaker 7: So I'm turn the TV down and then it's loud.
- 19:55Speaker 7: I'd never slept in our living room and like the
- 19:58Speaker 7: windows and stuff, and it was kind of windy. So
- 19:59Speaker 7: I'm like, okay, this is actually kind of spooky. I'm
- 20:01Speaker 7: not gonna lie.
- 20:02Speaker 5: So I turned the TV back on.
- 20:04Speaker 7: So I woke him back up so I could put
- 20:06Speaker 7: on a YouTube like deep sleep music. Sure, So the
- 20:11Speaker 7: one little girl, she just keeps tossing and turning, and
- 20:13Speaker 7: she's over by the window, not halving it, like I
- 20:16Speaker 7: can just see it.
- 20:16Speaker 5: And her like, I want to go home.
- 20:19Speaker 7: Her dad happens to be a cop who works overnights,
- 20:22Speaker 7: so I sent him a text. I was like, I
- 20:24Speaker 7: don't think she's he has three little girls. He's like,
- 20:27Speaker 7: I don't think she's gonna make it. He's like, I'm
- 20:29Speaker 7: actually in the neighborhood. I'll bring her home.
- 20:30Speaker 5: I'm like, okay, sounds good. So I didn't have to like.
- 20:33Speaker 7: Walk home in the middle of the night, right, So
- 20:35Speaker 7: we had one down at midnight. The rest of them
- 20:38Speaker 7: they slept sid woke up at five am. Talk about
- 20:40Speaker 7: a girl who's trained to wake up early around and
- 20:43Speaker 7: I'm like, you need to go back to bed right now.
- 20:46Speaker 4: Shut your eyes down.
- 20:48Speaker 7: But otherwise they all made it. We woke up yesterday
- 20:50Speaker 7: morning and it was on. I was kind of thinking,
- 20:53Speaker 7: we're going to ease into the morning. Oh no, these
- 20:55Speaker 7: girls are already dancing. I'm thinking they're going to be tired.
- 20:59Speaker 7: They got to carry you key machine out before seven thirty.
- 21:01Speaker 7: I mean, they were having a ball. It was so
- 21:04Speaker 7: much fun. And then I ended up taking the girls
- 21:08Speaker 7: all day. Oh sure, because they didn't have school at
- 21:11Speaker 7: a little overtime huh. It was about ten o'clock in
- 21:14Speaker 7: the morning, when they started realizing like, okay, we're girls.
- 21:19Speaker 7: I want this, No, I want that. They're exhausted, they're tired.
- 21:23Speaker 7: I'm tired. And you can tell it was probably a
- 21:26Speaker 7: sugar high all of the things, like Okay, we're gonna
- 21:29Speaker 7: all reset our bodies and come downstairs and put on
- 21:32Speaker 7: some whatever show that they wanted to watch. And so
- 21:35Speaker 7: we got a little beat and then the sun started
- 21:37Speaker 7: shining and it got nice.
- 21:39Speaker 5: How many times do you think I brought these girls
- 21:41Speaker 5: to the park yesterday?
- 21:42Speaker 3: Game?
- 21:44Speaker 1: Well, how many times? You get like twice? I don't know,
- 21:46Speaker 1: three times? Okay, three times?
- 21:48Speaker 5: We had to go to the park now.
- 21:49Speaker 4: But it was good.
- 21:50Speaker 5: I was glad that they were able to enjoy these moments.
- 21:53Speaker 7: You look back on your first sleepover, you think about
- 21:57Speaker 7: being a little girl or a little boy.
- 22:00Speaker 4: I don't know the last time I thought of all
- 22:01Speaker 4: being that girl.
- 22:03Speaker 7: I remember my first sleepover, and I just that brought
- 22:06Speaker 7: me so much joy. Yesterday I was exhausted, I was
- 22:09Speaker 7: running on fumes, and I'm going, you know what, They're
- 22:11Speaker 7: never going to forget this.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Yeah, that's I think that's really cool. I vaguely remember
- 22:16Speaker 1: my first sleepover. I think I slept in a Batman tent.
- 22:19Speaker 5: See.
- 22:19Speaker 4: I think on a porch.
- 22:21Speaker 7: I remember having a new kids on the block sleeping
- 22:23Speaker 7: bag with a couple of my girlfriends. And I cannot
- 22:25Speaker 7: remember the scary movie that we thought at the time
- 22:28Speaker 7: it was, but.
- 22:29Speaker 5: We were I mean it was. It was the most fun.
- 22:31Speaker 5: It was so good.
- 22:32Speaker 1: That's so cool, very very cool. What was your Yeah,
- 22:35Speaker 1: what do you remember from your first sleepover? Let us know,
- 22:38Speaker 1: seven oh one two, eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 22:40Speaker 1: It's kind of hard for me to think back that far. Yeah,
- 22:42Speaker 1: but it's still getting old.
- 22:44Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:44Speaker 3: Wow.
- 22:46Speaker 4: Sale.
- 22:46Speaker 7: And by the way, my husband got home yesterday and
- 22:49Speaker 7: he had that thirty six hours in Vegas and we were,
- 22:52Speaker 7: you know, he was still like, oh gosh, I'm so tired.
- 22:55Speaker 5: I'm like, you've got to be kidding me.
- 22:56Speaker 4: I've had six girls, had our weight five.
- 22:59Speaker 7: I even lost how many kids were in my house
- 23:01Speaker 7: At one point, I go, who had it worse?
- 23:03Speaker 4: So last night we were laughing.
- 23:04Speaker 7: Thirty six hours in Vegas with the boys or a
- 23:07Speaker 7: six year old sleepover?
- 23:10Speaker 4: It's been a tough good question.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Now, well, kiddos, if you are listening right now, I
- 23:16Speaker 1: guess if you're an adult and you have siblings, I
- 23:19Speaker 1: got some bad news for you. The favorite child thing
- 23:22Speaker 1: is real from mom and dad. I've got kids. I
- 23:26Speaker 1: don't believe that. I mean, every once in a while,
- 23:30Speaker 1: there's moments.
- 23:32Speaker 7: Yeah, where you like the situations, there's things that unfold.
- 23:36Speaker 5: But no, my heart is big enough for the love
- 23:38Speaker 5: of both.
- 23:39Speaker 4: Yeah, you love them both equally.
- 23:40Speaker 1: You just might like one more or less at certain
- 23:43Speaker 1: moments during the day.
- 23:44Speaker 4: Yeah, that happened.
- 23:46Speaker 1: So this study came out that says parents, indue, indeed,
- 23:51Speaker 1: excuse me, have a favorite kid. The study looked at
- 23:54Speaker 1: reasons why parents may show favoritism, and a lot of
- 24:00Speaker 1: it kind of has to do with birth order playing
- 24:03Speaker 1: a factor, as well as what gender you are, Amanda,
- 24:07Speaker 1: if you had one, guess which does mom and dad
- 24:13Speaker 1: like son or daughter?
- 24:14Speaker 4: More.
- 24:15Speaker 7: I think that there is so much of and we're
- 24:18Speaker 7: in a unique situation. We have a little boy and
- 24:20Speaker 7: a little girl, and there is something about being a
- 24:26Speaker 7: daddy's girl and a mama's boy. There's a reason that
- 24:29Speaker 7: that has been I mean stated, I think that that
- 24:33Speaker 7: is how it works in our house. More so, Okay,
- 24:37Speaker 7: as far as the way it kind of unfolds, yeah,
- 24:40Speaker 7: because I think we're both very similar. Briggs as a
- 24:44Speaker 7: little nick and said as a little me, So we
- 24:47Speaker 7: we bump heads.
- 24:48Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, that makes sense.
- 24:50Speaker 1: I have a younger sister and an older brother, and
- 24:52Speaker 1: it's not even a secret who the favorite in that
- 24:55Speaker 1: house is or who the favorite in our house was.
- 24:58Speaker 1: My younger sister by far, and we were you know,
- 25:01Speaker 1: we're pretty open about it really. Oh yeah, we knew
- 25:05Speaker 1: Molly was the fame first. That's funny, which is kind
- 25:07Speaker 1: of funny because they do say that daughters tend to
- 25:11Speaker 1: be more favorited, and the youngest got it. So me
- 25:16Speaker 1: and my older brother, we're both just kind of sol
- 25:19Speaker 1: We have one sister and she happens to be the
- 25:23Speaker 1: baby of the squad.
- 25:24Speaker 7: Now that is also kind of a unique situation, right yeah, yeah,
- 25:27Speaker 7: until dad needs help cutting the grass or putting the
- 25:30Speaker 7: Christmas lights up there, and yeah, then who's his favorite?
- 25:33Speaker 2: You know?
- 25:33Speaker 4: Goodness,
