- 0:00How do we look at our lives? Do we find any meaning or
- 0:04purpose in living? Or are we just here to live a
- 0:08material existence, enjoy ourselves as much as possible,
- 0:13try to avoid suffering and eventually die without much
- 0:17pain? Many people do not take the
- 0:20opportunity to shift their perspective on life and this
- 0:24then represents the frame within which they exist.
- 0:28They live in the external world without much reflection.
- 0:33Yet there are individuals who, through 1 cause or another,
- 0:37often through traumatic incidents that turn their gaze
- 0:40inwards and upwards, take up what is known as the spiritual
- 0:45quest. They shift their gaze inwards to
- 0:49seek out the true centre of their existence, and they shift
- 0:53their gaze upwards to understand the greater purposes and
- 0:57significance of the creation within which they exist and
- 1:01participate. This spiritual turn reverses the
- 1:06entire way they look at life and provides an existential purpose
- 1:12that motivates them to explore inner space and undertake what
- 1:18Trioro Bindo has named the Adventure of Consciousness and
- 1:22Joy. The present book is a
- 1:26compilation by Doctor AS Dalal from the writings of Sri
- 1:30Orabindo and the Mother, along with a page by page commentary,
- 1:35reaction, response to their statements on a number of
- 1:39subjects, including how we view our lives and circumstances, our
- 1:44insight into ourselves and others, our relationship to the
- 1:48external world and our action in that world, how we deal with
- 1:52difficulties that arise, and various ways we can approach the
- 1:57challenges of life and growth and the significance and purpose
- 2:02of our existence. Reference Sri or Obindo and the
