- 0:00Why is your desire not here yet? You have done everything you
- 0:03were told, you have visualized, you have affirmed, you have
- 0:06written it down, spoken it aloud and believed in it with
- 0:10everything you have. And still, still, the thing you
- 0:13want sits somewhere out there in the future, tantalizingly close
- 0:17but never quite arriving. Why?
- 0:19Because you have been living in the wrong place.
- 0:21Not the wrong city, not the wrong house, the wrong place in
- 0:25consciousness. You have been living in the
- 0:27journey instead of the destination.
- 0:30You have been standing at the beginning of the road, staring
- 0:33at the horizon when the law requires you to stand at the end
- 0:36and look back. I tell you from my own
- 0:38experience, the answer to every unfulfilled desire is not more
- 0:43effort. It is not a better technique.
- 0:45It is not a longer meditation or a more detailed vision board.
- 0:49The answer is a shift in where you stand in your own
- 0:52imagination. It is called living in the end.
- 0:55And tonight I will teach you exactly what it means and
- 0:59exactly how to do it. My name is Neville, and for over
- 1:024 decades I taught a single principle in 1000 different
- 1:06ways. That assumption if persisted in
- 1:09hardens into fact. And the most powerful form of
- 1:12assumption is not hoping for the future or working toward the
- 1:16future. It is occupying the end, the
- 1:19completed desire as your present reality.
- 1:22This is not a meditation technique.
- 1:24This is not positive thinking dressed up in mystical language.
- 1:28This is the fundamental operation of consciousness
- 1:31itself, and every result you have ever produced in your life,
- 1:35wanted or unwanted, was produced by this exact mechanism.
- 1:39In this teaching, I will show you why living in the end is
- 1:42different from visualizing why most people unknowingly live in
- 1:46the wrong end, and how to make the shift that collapses the
- 1:50distance between you and everything you desire.
- 1:53By the time we are finished, you will understand that your desire
- 1:56is not in the future. It never was.
- 1:59Let me lay the foundation with a distinction that most teachers
- 2:03fail to make. There is a difference between
- 2:05thinking of your desire and thinking from your desire.
- 2:09It is a small difference in language.
- 2:11It is an infinite difference in result.
- 2:14When you think of your desire, you are observing it from a
- 2:16distance. You are here.
- 2:18The desire is there and the space between you is the problem
- 2:22you are trying to solve. Every visualization done from
- 2:25this position, no matter how vivid, no matter how emotional,
- 2:29reinforces the gap. It tells the subconscious mind
- 2:32this is not mine, yet I am reaching for something I do not
- 2:36have. When you think from your desire,
- 2:38you have eliminated the gap entirely.
- 2:41You are standing in the completed state.
- 2:43You are looking out at the world from the position of someone who
- 2:46already has what they want. The desire is not ahead of you,
- 2:50it is behind you. It is done.
- 2:52You are imagination, and imagination creates reality, but
- 2:56imagination creates reality only when it operates from the end,
- 3:00not toward it. This is the law of assumption in
- 3:03its purest form. The state you occupy determines
- 3:07the world you see, and if you occupy the state of the wish
- 3:10fulfilled, not hoping for it, not reaching for it, but resting
- 3:14in the felt reality of it being already done, your subconscious
- 3:18mind receives that state as a blueprint and begins
- 3:22constructing the physical evidence to match it.
- 3:24Consciousness is the only reality, and your consciousness
- 3:28right now, in this moment, is either standing at the
- 3:31beginning, looking forward with longing, or standing at the end,
- 3:35looking back with satisfaction. One of these positions produces
- 3:39desire, the other produces fulfillment.
- 3:42They are not the same thing. Let me give you an example to
- 3:45make this concrete. A man desires a new home.
- 3:49He closes his eyes each night and imagines the home he wants.
- 3:53He sees the the front door, the garden, the kitchen.
- 3:56He adds detail upon detail. He imagines it so vividly he can
- 4:00smell the wood floors and feel the granite countertop under his
- 4:04fingertips. And nothing happens.
- 4:06Why? Because he is imagining the home
- 4:08of something he wants, something out there, something he is
- 4:12looking at. He is thinking of the home, not
- 4:14from it. Now imagine this same man doing
- 4:17something different. Instead of imagining the house
- 4:20from the outside, he imagines himself already living in it.
- 4:24He is lying in bed. Not his current bed, but the bed
- 4:27in the new home. He can feel the different
- 4:29mattress, the different sheets, the different quality of light
- 4:33coming through the window. He hears the sounds of a
- 4:36different neighborhood. He feels the deep, settled piece
- 4:39of someone who is simply at home, not excited about a new
- 4:42purchase, not overwhelmed by the change.
- 4:45Just home. The way you feel when you have
- 4:47lived somewhere for months and it is simply where you are that
- 4:51is living. In the end, the difference is
- 4:53not one of detail, it is one of position.
- 4:56He has moved from standing outside the desire looking in,
- 5:00to standing inside the desire looking out.
- 5:03And when he sleeps in that state, when the state akin to
- 5:06sleep carries that impression to the subconscious, the
- 5:09subconscious does not receive a wish.
- 5:12It receives a fact, and it immediately begins constructing
- 5:15the bridge of incidents that will carry the man to his new
- 5:19home, there to assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled.
- 5:22Let me tell you about a woman who tested this principle and
- 5:25proved it beyond any doubt. She was a nurse in Philadelphia.
- 5:29She had been divorced for six years, and she wanted more than
- 5:32anything to be in a loving marriage again.
- 5:35She had tried everything the world recommends, Dating
- 5:38services, social events, the advice of well meaning friends
- 5:42who told her she was too picky, not picky enough, trying too
- 5:46hard, not trying hard enough. She came to one of my lectures,
- 5:50and she heard me explain the difference between thinking of a
- 5:53desire and thinking from it. And that night she changed her
- 5:57approach entirely. Instead of lying in bed
- 6:00imagining the face of some unknown future husband, instead
- 6:03of wondering who he might be, where she might meet him, what
- 6:07he might look like, she did something far simpler.
- 6:10She imagined herself lying in bed in the dark, and she felt
- 6:14the weight of a hand resting on her left hand, a ring on her
- 6:18finger. Not a new ring, but a familiar
- 6:201/1 she had worn for a long time.
- 6:23She felt the warmth of someone sleeping beside her.
- 6:26She heard his breathing, slow and deep.
- 6:29And she felt the most important thing of all.
- 6:31She felt ordinary. She felt the deep, unremarkable
- 6:34piece of a woman who had been married for years and was simply
- 6:37lying beside her husband on a Tuesday night thinking about
- 6:41nothing in particular. She did not try to see his face.
- 6:44She did not try to construct a scene of romance or passion.
- 6:48She simply felt married. The way you feel about something
- 6:51that has been true for so long that it that no longer excites
- 6:54you, it simply is. She did this for five weeks and
- 6:58within three months she met a man through a completely
- 7:01unexpected channel, a colleague's retirement party.
- 7:05She had almost decided not to attend, and within a year she
- 7:09was wearing the ring she had felt on her finger in the state
- 7:12akin to sleep. She did not attract this man
- 7:14through effort. She did not find him through
- 7:17strategy. She occupied the end, the
- 7:19settled, ordinary, unremarkable end of being married, and the
- 7:23subconscious mind built the bridge of incidents that carried
- 7:27her there, that is, living in the end, not hoping for the
- 7:30wedding, feeling from the marriage.
- 7:32So far I have shown you the distinction between thinking of
- 7:35your desire and thinking from it.
- 7:38You understand that living in the end means occupying the
- 7:41completed state in consciousness, not observing it
- 7:44from the outside, but inhabiting it from within.
- 7:48But here is where the teaching deepens, because most people,
- 7:51when they hear this principle for the first time, make a
- 7:54subtle but devastating error. They try to feel excited about
- 7:58having the thing. They try to generate the emotion
- 8:01of receiving. They try to manufacture the
- 8:04thrill of arrival. And this is precisely the wrong
- 8:07feeling. What I am about to share will
- 8:09correct this error permanently. And once you correct it, you
- 8:12will find that living in the end becomes the most natural thing
- 8:16in the world, because it requires less effort than what
- 8:19you have been doing, not more. The feeling of the wish
- 8:22fulfilled is not excitement, it is not thrill, it is not the
- 8:26rush of receiving something you have long desired.
- 8:29It is peace. Think about anything you already
- 8:32have, something so ordinary, so settled in your life that you do
- 8:36not think about it with excitement.
- 8:38Your bed, your favorite chair, your morning routine, these
- 8:42things are yours. You do not wake up thrilled that
- 8:44you have a bed. You do not feel a rush of
- 8:47gratitude every time you sit in your chair.
- 8:50You simply use them. They are part of the fabric of
- 8:53your life. They are assumed.
- 8:55That is the feeling of the wish fulfilled, not the peak emotion
- 8:58of receiving the quiet naturalness of already having.
- 9:02When you live in the end correctly, the dominant feeling
- 9:05is not excitement, it is calm. It is settled.
- 9:09It is the deep, unremarkable piece of someone whose desire is
- 9:12so thoroughly fulfilled that it no longer registers as a desire
- 9:16at all. It is simply life.
- 9:19This is why so many people struggle with this technique.
- 9:22They're trying to generate a dramatic feeling when the law
- 9:25requires an undramatic one. They are trying to feel the
- 9:28wedding day when the law asks them to feel a Tuesday morning
- 9:32six months after the wedding, when the ring on their finger is
- 9:35something they no longer notice because it has been there so
- 9:39long. The most important conversation
- 9:41you will ever have is the one you hold with yourself.
- 9:44And when you live in the end, that conversation is no longer
- 9:47about wanting. It is no longer about becoming.
- 9:51It is about without being quietly, naturally, without
- 9:54fanfare. I tell you from my own
- 9:57experience, when I discovered this distinction, every desire I
- 10:01held began to crystallize with a speed that astonished me.
- 10:05Not because I changed what I imagined, but because I changed
- 10:08how I felt about it. I stopped reaching, I started
- 10:12resting. What you desire, you already are
- 10:14in eternity. Living in the end is not a trick
- 10:18to get what you want. It is the recognition that in
- 10:21the dimension of consciousness, where all things are created,
- 10:24you already have it. Your only task is to feel from
- 10:27that position with enough naturalness that the
- 10:30subconscious accepts it as the current state of affairs.
- 10:34And it will, because the subconscious cannot tell the
- 10:37difference between an experience that is physically real and an
- 10:41experience that is assumed with genuine feeling in the state
- 10:44akin to sleep. Now let me give you the
- 10:47practical steps. Step one.
- 10:49Define your desire with precision.
- 10:51Not a category, not a general improvement, a specific state.
- 10:56I do not want more money. I want to be someone who looks
- 10:59at their bank account and feels secure.
- 11:02I do not want a relationship. I want to be someone who falls
- 11:05asleep beside a person they love and wakes to them every morning.
- 11:09The end state is not the thing. The end state is the version of
- 11:13you who already has the thing. Step 2.
- 11:16Identify the naturalness. Ask yourself, if this were
- 11:19already true, if it had been true for months, what would an
- 11:22ordinary moment feel like? Not the celebration, not the
- 11:26announcement. A random Wednesday, a quiet
- 11:29evening. A moment so unremarkable that it
- 11:32would never make it into a story because it is just life.
- 11:35That is your scene, that is your feeling.
- 11:38That is your end. Step three.
- 11:40Enter the state akin to sleep. Lie down.
- 11:43Breathe. Let the drowsiness come, let the
- 11:46conscious guard relax. You know this doorway, you have
- 11:49crossed it before. Step 4.
- 11:51Occupy the end, not watching yourself in the end, being in
- 11:55the end, looking through your own eyes, feeling the
- 11:58ordinariness of it, feeling the peace of someone for whom this
- 12:01desire was fulfilled so long ago that it has become background.
- 12:05Just life. Sleep as though the wish were
- 12:07fulfilled, wake as though it is already so.
- 12:10Step 5. Persist.
- 12:12Not by trying harder, by returning when doubt comes and
- 12:16it will. You do not fight it.
- 12:17You simply redirect. You return to the end.
- 12:20You return to the naturalness. You remind yourself it is done.
- 12:25The subconscious has the blueprint.
- 12:27My job is to stay in the state, persist in your assumption, and
- 12:31the world must rearrange itself to conform.
- 12:34There is a common misunderstanding I want to
- 12:36correct before we go further. People here living in the end
- 12:40and they think it means denying the present.
- 12:42They think it means pretending their current circumstances do
- 12:46not exist. They think it means walking
- 12:48through a life that is not working and pasting a smile over
- 12:52the cracks. That is not what I teach.
- 12:54That is not what the law requires.
- 12:57Living in the end does not mean ignoring the present.
- 13:00It means understanding what the present is.
- 13:02The present is not a fact. It is the residue of a previous
- 13:06assumption. What you see around you right
- 13:08now, your bank account, your relationship, your health, your
- 13:12career, is the crystallized result of what you once assumed.
- 13:16It is the harvest of seeds planted in the past.
- 13:19It is yesterday's consciousness made visible today.
- 13:22When you change the assumption, when you occupy a new end, you
- 13:26are planting new seeds, and the old harvest will naturally,
- 13:30inevitably, give way to the new one.
- 13:32But you do not hasten this process by fighting the old
- 13:35harvest. You hasten it by ignoring it.
- 13:38Not in the sense of pretending it does not exist, but in the
- 13:41sense of withdrawing your emotional investment in it.
- 13:44You stop feeding it with attention, worry and the
- 13:47constant monitoring that says this is real, this is permanent,
- 13:51this cannot change. The state you occupied
- 13:54determines the world you see, and the state you withdraw from
- 13:58loses its power to persist. One mistake I see often people
- 14:02practice this beautifully at night, then spend the entire
- 14:05next day living from the old state.
- 14:07They assume the wish fulfilled before sleep, then wake up and
- 14:11immediately check whether anything has changed.
- 14:14That checking is the old state, that scanning for evidence is
- 14:18the position of someone who does not yet have what they want.
- 14:21Living, in the end, is not a night time exercise.
- 14:24It is a position you hold throughout the day, not with
- 14:27strain, not with forced positivity, with quiet
- 14:31certainty. The way you know your name, the
- 14:33way you know where you live. You do not affirm these things.
- 14:37You do not visualize them. You simply know them.
- 14:40That is the feeling. Man's imagination is the only
- 14:43redemptive power in the world, and when imagination occupies
- 14:47the end, truly occupies it. With the naturalness and peace
- 14:51of something already accomplished, the
- 14:53three-dimensional world has no choice but to catch up.
- 14:56I want to guide you into the end right now. close your eyes, take
- 15:00a breath, let the body soften. Think of the thing you most
- 15:03desire, but do not reach for it. Do not picture yourself
- 15:07receiving it. Instead, move past the
- 15:09receiving. Move past the excitement.
- 15:12Move to a moment, weeks, months after the fulfillment, when this
- 15:15desire has become so normal, so settled, so thoroughly part of
- 15:20your life that you barely think about it anymore.
- 15:23Feel the ordinariness of it. Feel the peace of it.
- 15:26Feel the deep calm of someone for whom this is simply how
- 15:29things are. You are not wishing.
- 15:31You are not hoping. You are remembering from the
- 15:34end. Isn't it wonderful?
- 15:36Not as a question, as a quiet recognition of what is already
- 15:39true in the dimension where all things are created.
- 15:43Rest there. Let the feeling settle into the
- 15:45the body. This is living in the end.
- 15:47This is where your desire has always been.
- 15:50Not ahead of you here. Now, in the state you occupy,
- 15:54you may release the scene. I want to address one final
- 15:57thing before I leave you tonight because it is the question I was
- 16:01asked more than any other in all my years of teaching.
- 16:04People would come to me and say, Neville, I can do this at night.
- 16:08I can feel the end before I sleep.
- 16:11But in the morning, reality hits.
- 16:13I open my eyes and nothing has changed.
- 16:16The old circumstances are still there.
- 16:18How do I live in the end when the present contradicts it and
- 16:21my answer was always the same. The present is not a fact.
- 16:25The present is the crystallization of a previous
- 16:28assumption. What you see around you right
- 16:31now is not reality. It is the residue of what you
- 16:34once assumed. It is yesterday's consciousness
- 16:37made visible when you change the assumption.
- 16:40When you occupy a new end, the present has no choice but to
- 16:44dissolve and reorganize around the new state.
- 16:47But it does not happen overnight.
- 16:49There is a bridge. There is a period during which
- 16:51the old scenery is still visible even as the new assumption is
- 16:55being built beneath it. Your job during that period is
- 16:59not to be deceived by appearances.
- 17:01Your job is to remain in the end, to walk through the old
- 17:04world with the consciousness of someone who has already moved to
- 17:08the new one. Not pretending, knowing the
- 17:11state you occupied determines the world you see occupy the
- 17:14end. The world will follow.
- 17:16If this teaching has clarified something you have been
- 17:19struggling with, if you now see that the problem was never your
- 17:22desire but the position from which you were holding it, then
- 17:26I ask you to test it tonight. Choose one desire.
- 17:29Move past the wanting. Move past the receiving.
- 17:33Find the natural, ordinary, unremarkable feeling of already
- 17:36having lived with it for months and sleep in that feeling.
- 17:40If these teachings speak to something within you, you will
- 17:43find more of them here. Return when you are ready.
- 17:47Each time we go deeper into the principles I spent a lifetime
- 17:50testing. Your desire is not in the
- 17:53future. It never was.
- 17:54It is in the end, and the end is wherever you choose to stand.
