- 0:00Oh well, you manifested that. I always wanted and I would tell
- 0:03my parents that I'm like, I'm going to, I want to be famous
- 0:05and I I also am going to be a multi millionaire.
- 0:08I'm going to be the first dancer that makes millions of dollars.
- 0:11Tell us about Lana. Lana, the ravishing Russian
- 0:14Lana, She was a ice queen and she likes to crush people.
- 0:35Hello Delulu Divas and welcome back to Delulu.
- 0:38We are joined today by WWE legend and Money in the Bank
- 0:43champion. We are manifesting that CJ
- 0:45Perry, she is Miss Hot and flexible and actually becoming a
- 0:49really cool, amazing friend in my corner, which is surprising
- 0:53because we actually come from drastically different worlds and
- 0:56backgrounds, which we'll get into, but also not that
- 0:58surprising because we are also both natural blondes.
- 1:01So we have that connection already.
- 1:03But hi, CJ, thanks for coming on the show.
- 1:06Oh. My gosh, thank you so much for
- 1:08having me. I'm so excited.
- 1:09I'm so excited. We've been talking for, like, I
- 1:10want to say hours, yeah. And.
- 1:13I feel like we've actually done like 10 shows prior to this one,
- 1:17but I'm so excited because I know we're going to get into all
- 1:19the little nitty gritty and everything with the world of CJ
- 1:22Perry. And the world of CJ Perry is
- 1:25expansive. Oh my gosh.
- 1:28You have been in the entertainment industry for a
- 1:31minute now, and I want to start by asking where does CJ come
- 1:34from and what have you done? But I think the real question is
- 1:37what have you not done? Oh.
- 1:38My God, you have. Touched every form of
- 1:41entertainment. Oh.
- 1:41My God, thank you. Well, you are a dancer.
- 1:43You break dance, you act. You also sang a little bit.
- 1:46Oh. My God, yes, A.
- 1:48Wrestler. A performer.
- 1:49Just truly, truly, truly an entertainer at your core.
- 1:52Who is CJ Perry in CJ Perry's words?
- 1:54Oh my God. Gosh, that's so complex it.
- 1:57Is and that's what we love and we're going to get into it.
- 2:00And if you have a little identity crisis or so on the
- 2:02show, we'll we'll figure it out together.
- 2:04Perfect, perfect. I go through a lot of identity
- 2:06crisis throughout my day so. You know what, there's a new
- 2:09podcast that I was watching about that.
- 2:12It's really good. You need to check it out.
- 2:13Just a side note. What is it called?
- 2:15It's called Identity Crisis with CJ Perry and Jonathan Sava.
- 2:22Thank you. My favorite current podcast, and
- 2:26it's so good. We'll get into the besties.
- 2:29We'll get into the besties. Oh gosh, so I American born, I
- 2:36grew up in Eastern Europe. My parents were Christian
- 2:40missionaries, so that was very interesting.
- 2:42My mom is Jewish and so I also grew up with like a lot of
- 2:48Jewish traditions but being Christian so I was from the get
- 2:53go open to so much. I think the right word is
- 2:58inclusivity. Yeah, absolutely.
- 3:00Religion and spirituality. Being open to like different
- 3:03forms of people beliefs and being open to what the universe
- 3:06has to offer and whatever forms there is and what people believe
- 3:08in, yes. Absolutely and prayer like my
- 3:11dad still to this day teaches on prayer.
- 3:13And so I just would learned so much early on the power of
- 3:17prayer and manifesting and believing.
- 3:20So you know. And look how much it's served
- 3:22you. That's insane.
- 3:23Absolutely. I definitely would say I was
- 3:25delulu, still am a little and. You're going to be hella delulu
- 3:29on the show, so please bring it out for us.
- 3:33So, yeah, I love that. So I grew up in Eastern Europe.
- 3:38I start, I became a professional ballerina at 10 years old with
- 3:42the Russians. So that was crazy.
- 3:44I was They would call me like a fat cow and show throw their
- 3:48heels at me. What the heck?
- 3:49That's crazy. Is that like normal?
- 3:51Totally it. It was very like Nadia Komenich
- 3:54things like I don't know, that probably was it was before my
- 3:58years too. But I believe you think like
- 4:00communism gymnastics regime harsh cut.
- 4:06Throat. Oh my God, They would come with
- 4:08paddles. Oh my God, it was crazy.
- 4:10It was crazy. So that I think like really set
- 4:13me up to be resilient for the rest of my life.
- 4:17And because I was really lucky to be able to grow up in a very
- 4:21awesome environment with my parents and my family.
- 4:24And they, they're very American and positive and encouraging.
- 4:28And here I am with the Super American family and so positive,
- 4:33smiling, welcoming. Very different than the
- 4:35environment you're in. Oh, totally.
- 4:37Like Eastern Europe, everyone's cold every You don't smile, say
- 4:41hello to strangers. Oh.
- 4:44My God, I'm a little too smiley for Russia right now.
- 4:49You know, it's cold, it's dark, it's oppressive, and so it just
- 4:53kind of bleeds into all areas of life.
- 4:56And so I'm really thankful that I had that positive environment
- 5:00at home because I don't know if I would have survived all the
- 5:03negativity. Yeah, because they were like.
- 5:05A forever winter type situation. Forever winter.
- 5:08But just like they, they tell you you're stupid, you're fat.
- 5:11Like we encourage you to be anorexic and you know, it's
- 5:16literally they would say it's better to be skinny and anorexic
- 5:19and sick than to be rosy and fat like you are.
- 5:22Oh, that's fucked. I.
- 5:24Know and I was like 100 lbs and. Which is like nothing, yeah.
- 5:28Yeah, it was crazy. Yeah.
- 5:29So that really like my dad would, I would come home and I
- 5:33would cry. I was sleeping splits because I
- 5:35wasn't flexible. So I would sleep with my legs
- 5:38open like straddle style. But wait.
- 5:41Really. You weren't flexible.
- 5:42I broke myself in, so I became flexible with the.
- 5:46Because I was hot and flexible. I love that you know that.
- 5:50Oh, I know everything, CJ Perry, and we'll get into everything.
- 5:55So you had to grow into the flexibility.
- 5:57You earned that title, truly. I did.
- 5:59Oh, I really did. I really did.
- 6:01Absolutely respect. Thank you.
- 6:04So that took me and to moving to New York City, Alvin Ailey
- 6:09dancing professionally there. Then I decided to go the
- 6:13university went to Florida State.
- 6:15They have an incredible dance program, but they also have like
- 6:18the college book experience And my dad really wanted me to have
- 6:21like 1 American experience because I moved back when I was
- 6:2517 and I. Grew up there, yes.
- 6:28And then now you're back. Yes.
- 6:29So 5 to 17, I'm over there. From 10 to 17, I was dancing at
- 6:35the Latvian National Ballet Company, and then I was dancing
- 6:39with Ballet Hispanico in New York.
- 6:41Alvin Ailey and I decided, OK, let me get a college book
- 6:45experience. I never had prom.
- 6:47I didn't go to an American high school and honestly, it was the
- 6:50greatest thing I've ever done because I when it comes to like,
- 6:53just personal growth, Yeah, because I was able to go to the
- 6:57college football games and tailgate.
- 6:59Very American. So.
- 7:00American being like separated from that.
- 7:02You obviously had it at home with a very American family,
- 7:05yes, but now it's like your environment is finally matching
- 7:07what you were living. Yes, yes.
- 7:10So that was super awesome. And they have great film schools
- 7:14and music theater, so that was really great.
- 7:16I started break dancing there because everyone saw me as a
- 7:19dancer and I would go to a party and I was like, say the last
- 7:21dance. Like I could not.
- 7:23Really. Have you always like loved
- 7:25attention? Would you love attention at
- 7:26parties? I definitely love attention.
- 7:30Me too, Yes, Oh my God, absolutely.
- 7:33Same things like. Why can't I get an open circle?
- 7:36Learning how to break dance, then if that's going to get me
- 7:38some attention, you're going to have to teach me.
- 7:40When we get to the Break Dance Lulu section, you'll teach me
- 7:43how to break dance. We'll teach you definitely how
- 7:45to do some backspins. OK, Hell yeah.
- 7:47I mean, you're 1 of many talents.
- 7:48So break dancing, acting, you did a little bit of singing.
- 7:52We'll get into that. Ballet, of course, is what you
- 7:53mentioned. But you were born an
- 7:55entertainer, truly. Like you've wanted to entertain.
- 7:58You wanted to perform since day one.
- 8:00Yes, I've as long as I can remember, my mom has crazy
- 8:03stories and videos of me dancing like learning all the worship
- 8:07dances that were at church and imitating it.
- 8:10And I know and just like a lot of different performances on TV,
- 8:15learning it. And yeah, that led.
- 8:18I always wanted to be. I guess I can say this now, I
- 8:21was going to be famous. Oh well, you manifested that
- 8:23you. Always wanted and I would tell
- 8:25my parents that I'm like I'm going to I want to be famous and
- 8:27I I also want to be a multi millionaire.
- 8:30I'm going to be the first dancer that makes millions of dollars.
- 8:33Oh my gosh, that's such a powerful intention at such a
- 8:36young age. Which by the way did manifest,
- 8:38which is crazy. I'm very thankful.
- 8:40How powerful is that? I'm it's so powerful.
- 8:42I I don't know if you know who Pistol Pete is.
- 8:45He that sounds familiar. So he was the first person in
- 8:49basketball that made $1,000,000 and in his high school paper.
- 8:53And I watched this movie. It was my dad's favorite player
- 8:56and he, I, we watched this movie and he's in high school writes
- 9:01this paper saying that I'm going to make $1,000,000 playing
- 9:03basketball. And the whole class laughed and
- 9:06I remember turning to my dad and I'm like, I'm going, I don't
- 9:09know how a ballerina is going to make millions of dollars.
- 9:12Besides, but you're going to be the one.
- 9:13Exactly, but I'm going to do that.
- 9:14And you did. Yeah, and my dad would always be
- 9:17like, the Sky's the limit keep. Training.
- 9:19Oh yeah, the Sky's the limit. Love that.
- 9:20They were encouraging of that, too.
- 9:21They were so encouraging. He would always be like,
- 9:24everything's possible, nothing's impossible, you know?
- 9:26Do you feel like that mindset encouragement really helped you
- 9:28believe in it too? Because maybe if they didn't
- 9:30necessarily encourage it in that way, do you think it would have
- 9:33stifled you or stopped you from believing it for yourself?
- 9:35I think for sure, absolutely because like what I know about
- 9:38myself now, I, I am so beyond thankful for having a, a good
- 9:43environment growing up at home, even though they were really
- 9:47strict because of their faith and values.
- 9:49And so they were, there was maybe a lot of things I wasn't
- 9:53allowed to do, like maybe go to like a school dance or have a
- 9:57boyfriend. But at the end of the day, they
- 9:59were so encouraging and they never stopped me from chasing my
- 10:02dreams. And I believe that actually that
- 10:05strictness helped me excel because I it was kind of nerdy.
- 10:09It was like this nerdy ballerina who.
- 10:11I wouldn't. Never.
- 10:12Boys. Oh my gosh, that's crazy.
- 10:15Only did ballet, you know, Only watched Batman and Superman and
- 10:21yeah, it's so funny, so. A completely different like,
- 10:22existence. And you know what?
- 10:23That's interesting. I grew up in a very strict and
- 10:28like, you know, sheltered upbringing too.
- 10:30And I felt like similar to you, I was very like shy and I kept
- 10:34to myself and I was like, not really the type of person that
- 10:37would really want to put myself out there, even wanting to be
- 10:39perceived. And it's completely different
- 10:41than what I do now, and obviously completely different
- 10:43than what you're doing now. Well, it's so interesting
- 10:44because even when we went to the dinner the other night, that's
- 10:47right, how both of us were texting each other, how we're
- 10:50shy, so shy. And I think, yeah, it's so
- 10:54interesting because I people find it so shocking when they
- 10:57find out I'm like, I'm very shy. Me too, but.
- 11:00It's like no one believes me. It's.
- 11:03I'm mad introverted. Yeah, yeah.
- 11:05Absolutely and. We related to that.
- 11:07We were talking about it before we went in.
- 11:08We were like, I don't know. I was like, I'm anxious.
- 11:11I was like, I don't know, like I'm going to have to talk to
- 11:13people. I saved you a seat and I was
- 11:16like. It's so true, yeah.
- 11:19So I think like dance was a part verbal talking to people.
- 11:25And this was not always. I was very shy at talking.
- 11:28And I remember my father whenever I would dance, let's
- 11:31say at a church event, he would be like, OK, I will let you can
- 11:34do your dance performance, but you have to introduce it and you
- 11:38have to talk Before. I hated that part.
- 11:42I was like, Oh my gosh, this is so hard.
- 11:45And I'll never forget, I think like 17 years old.
- 11:48I decided all of a sudden right before this piece I was going to
- 11:52do, I decided to open up about my eating disorders at church
- 11:56and say I've struggled with eating disorders my whole life,
- 11:59but like I am choosing to try to overcome this and love my body.
- 12:05And my dad didn't know. Like my dad knew I was
- 12:07struggling with it. And I literally said all this
- 12:09stuff and people are crying in church and like my dad
- 12:13afterwards came up to me and he's like, you're going to do
- 12:16great things with your. Life and you absolutely have,
- 12:18and you're continuing to do so. Yeah, that's incredible.
- 12:21Thank you. I think though, it's like you
- 12:23get it because being online we open ourselves up like and I
- 12:28think that people don't understand that there is a price
- 12:30to pay opening up like that vulnerability of sharing, OK,
- 12:34I've eating the sort of I'm trying to overcome it.
- 12:36But that part of opening up is that's how we move into a space
- 12:40of being able to be a role model or.
- 12:42Absolutely. And it helps so many people, you
- 12:44know what I mean? Like especially like when you
- 12:47are in a position where people are watching and people need
- 12:49someone to either relate to or at least have them feel like
- 12:51they're being understood. It makes such a big difference.
- 12:54And being vulnerable like that, while it is very scary, I always
- 12:57think to myself like if I'm going to be vulnerable, if I'm
- 12:59going to say something or like whatever, if it helps one
- 13:02person, it was worth it. You say that all the.
- 13:05Time. Wait, really?
- 13:07OK, 20? Oh my God, I love that.
- 13:10Yes, and it's so true. It's so true.
- 13:13It's so true because sometimes, like especially in my mid 20s, I
- 13:17was so broke at times. Like I, the recession happened
- 13:22in 2008 and my parents eventually had the not
- 13:25foreclose, but give up their house in 2012.
- 13:28And I, I had the, I worked in the, in the business during that
- 13:32time and it got hit. Like if a normal day for
- 13:36modeling was $1500, I would get paid for a catalog and that's a
- 13:39lot back in 2008. That would be equivalent to like
- 13:42$5000 right now. You know of like the way pay has
- 13:46gone up, right? And so in one day it went from
- 13:491500 to everyone's rate cut to 500.
- 13:52Like if you're a catalog. It felt.
- 13:54Did it feel like overnight? Oh, it was like that.
- 13:56Oh, that's crazy. And how do you live like that?
- 13:58Exactly. And so it was.
- 13:59It was crazy. The writers strike happened and
- 14:03recession and that's why I ended up doing a girls group for a
- 14:07year. I learned a lot from OK.
- 14:10I don't do that anymore. Really.
- 14:12Did you not like it? Well, I had to live with four
- 14:15girls. You had to live with them.
- 14:16Yeah, you had to live. With them?
- 14:17Are you close with them? No, I didn't know any of them.
- 14:19Oh, they were coworkers, Yes, essentially.
- 14:21OK, so. It's like being married to three
- 14:23other women and it's. Just like this is Neo's label,
- 14:26right? Yes, Neo's label and the girl
- 14:27group was no means yes. Yikes, they would not work
- 14:31anymore. Oh my gosh, I was like when I
- 14:34read that, I was like, huh? Yeah, so it was a different
- 14:37time. It was a different time.
- 14:38And actually we were. That's when Obama was running.
- 14:41And so the girls in the group wanted to run with yes, we
- 14:44can't. Like even if you give us a no,
- 14:46we can. We will make a way.
- 14:48Oh, the intention, got it. Yes.
- 14:49So that's where. It was good explanation.
- 14:51It makes more. Sense but now like yeah no,
- 14:54definitely not frightening Oh my God, Oh my God so that was I
- 14:58learned a lot I learned how to be a team player from that
- 15:01situation because in dance it's not a sport it's not a team
- 15:05sport. It's a very individual, very
- 15:08individual. Especially in ballet, you want
- 15:10to be the prima ballerina. It's very cutthroat.
- 15:13You get, you have understudies, you get injured, next thing you
- 15:16know your understudy takes your place and maybe it's permanently
- 15:19taking your place. So highly competitive.
- 15:21It's so highly competitive, so in sports it's the same way, but
- 15:25then you're in a team, so at the end of the day you have to win
- 15:29as a team. There was a common goal there
- 15:30versus like when you're doing ballet or, you know, when you're
- 15:34individually dancing, it's like, I need to be the one that's
- 15:37coming on top and I'm the one who's getting the parts and I'm
- 15:40the one who's getting most attention, yes.
- 15:42Absolutely. And I'm very competitive.
- 15:44Me too, which is our superpower. But it also can, you know, be,
- 15:50yeah, a little intense at times. So that was where it was good
- 15:54for me because I would just be so competitive.
- 15:55I wanted to be better than everyone in the group and I,
- 15:59yeah, I wanted to be better. I wasn't like, no, let's all be
- 16:01great. It's like I wanted to be better.
- 16:03Oh my gosh, was that the intention when you were in the
- 16:05group? Like like you actively knew you
- 16:07wanted to be the best 10. Absolutely.
- 16:08Oh my God, I mean, I knew I would never be the best singer
- 16:11'cause there were two girls that were singer singers.
- 16:13You're brought on to be like the dancer, the break dancer.
- 16:16Yes, Yes, yes, yes, yes. That's exactly, exactly.
- 16:18I love you did. Research.
- 16:22Hell yeah. And there was so much, the
- 16:23research. You have such an extensive
- 16:25career. Thank you.
- 16:26And oh, my God, you've done so much.
- 16:27And not only just the girl group, but you also danced for
- 16:31major artists such as Pink and Nelly.
- 16:34And I'm trying to remember the rest.
- 16:36Usher. Yes, yes.
- 16:37OK. That is so crazy ludicrous.
- 16:40T pain. Gosh, you're all Hilson.
- 16:46Yes, I've a lot of people. I can't even.
- 16:48Honestly, I can't even. Remember, you don't really so
- 16:50much. And then you tipped into acting,
- 16:52You continue to do acting, but you were in projects such as
- 16:54Pitch Perfect, yes. Pitch Perfect The sequel too,
- 16:57yes. And that was all from dance,
- 16:58like pitch, actually pitch perfect.
- 17:00I would say it was dance and singing a little bit.
- 17:02So the singing helped me. I, I think learned how to be,
- 17:06I'm so thankful learned how to be a team player because they're
- 17:08like, you're only as good as the worst person in the group.
- 17:12So that changed. Like I was like, Oh no, we got
- 17:14to all get better at dancing now guys, and 1/2 not you directed
- 17:20that enough guys, let's hit it again.
- 17:22Oh girl. So that was that helped me and
- 17:25that also helped me for Pitch Perfect because I I was so
- 17:28scared to sing in front of people.
- 17:30So you. Got more acclimated to it.
- 17:32Yes. So that helped me get pitch
- 17:33perfect. Do you feel like you're thankful
- 17:35the girl group didn't work out? Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 17:38But it really opened doors for you, too.
- 17:40Yeah, that's crazy how like life follows that path, right?
- 17:43For sure, for sure. So one thing I will tell you
- 17:46about the girl group that I've learned when I look when I was
- 17:51in therapy, I in therapy and also like this, I do a
- 17:55spiritual, I have a spiritual director actually as well.
- 17:59And I meet with her once a week and for an hour.
- 18:04And it's like, if you have your therapy overall, this is like my
- 18:08own spiritual journey, right? Because that's like as equally
- 18:12important to me as going to the gym and working out or.
- 18:14Oh yeah. You know it.
- 18:16All falls into like, yes, self-care and Wellness.
- 18:19Yes, absolutely. And I'm a very spiritual person.
- 18:22I am very instinctual. And so that's what I've really
- 18:27learned is that I knew I shouldn't have joined the girl
- 18:30group. Like, I knew it in my gut.
- 18:33I knew it in my instinct. I I dropped out of my last
- 18:35semester of college, actually, and I still haven't gone back.
- 18:38Yeah, I. Know not that you need to.
- 18:39Not that I need to, but like hindsight, like I should have
- 18:42just finished, you know, and it wasn't even about that.
- 18:45Like I for about a year and a half, I just kind of biessed
- 18:47around in Atlanta, learned a lot.
- 18:49It was great, but. I so this was in Atlanta.
- 18:53Yeah, yeah. Yeah, Oh my God.
- 18:54Fun fact, Lulu, I'm from Georgia.
- 18:55The state, not the country. I love that you say that because
- 18:59a lot of people think that. A lot of people would assume,
- 19:02yeah, yeah, you have to clarify these days.
- 19:06So I love that. So wait, isn't Brett?
- 19:10Wait. No, you're not.
- 19:11You're from Orange County. You did this bit before, I
- 19:16remember. You clocked it.
- 19:18I'm like, wait, you've done this one before?
- 19:22So funny you have a great memory.
- 19:24Okay, I guess because you exposed it.
- 19:27I am originally from Orange County in California and our
- 19:32mutual producer Brett Mick Shaner from Georgia.
- 19:38The state, not the country. We got to have a cutaway.
- 19:42You have discussed it so many times, it has never happened.
- 19:46Well, let's get the budget up, guys.
- 19:47Please rate the show for us so we can get more cameras in the
- 19:50studio. Please rate it five stars while
- 19:52you're listening. We'd really appreciate it.
- 19:55Thank you guys for the support. But you clocked it.
- 19:58Yes, Good memory. That was, I'm like, wait.
- 20:02So yeah, that was wait. I forgot what we were talking
- 20:05about. So you dropped out of college to
- 20:07the girl group? Oh, yeah.
- 20:08So I like, I know 99% of the time I know if I should do
- 20:15something or not do something because it like resonates in my
- 20:19gut like to such an extent. I wish I had.
- 20:22That I think you can cultivate it.
- 20:24Oh, I think I'm going to try to you.
- 20:26Have to like, first of all, the first thing is, and if you guys
- 20:28are listening to this now, this is a big part of manifesting.
- 20:31I believe we're ready. It's like, and the more you
- 20:33cultivate it, the stronger it gets.
- 20:35So the more you don't listen to it, the weaker it gets.
- 20:38That makes. Sense that's what I did for
- 20:39years. So just trust it.
- 20:41Trust your God. And so like the girl, the girl
- 20:44group, my desire to be famous and also being sold the dream
- 20:50rich was more important to me than staying on my Rd. of being
- 20:55excellent at dance because I was excellent.
- 20:57It was getting all these opportunities wasn't excellent
- 21:00at singing. And so I just kind of like got
- 21:05loss because I wanted, I bought the BS that we were going to
- 21:09become famous. Well, they're going to sell you
- 21:11a lot of BS and to this day you and I are sold a lot of BS.
- 21:14And that's why I just like, right now, I'd never believe
- 21:16anybody. I don't even believe anything.
- 21:18I'm like okay. 100% I take everything with a grain of salt
- 21:21because like, I'm sold the dream.
- 21:24Honestly, we'd probably be billionaires by now if we had.
- 21:28Every. Point.
- 21:29For every single person in the world who told me I was a mega *
- 21:32and they're going to make it happen for me, like then yes.
- 21:36I mean, they're right, but let's act on it.
- 21:39For sure. And this city, there's so many,
- 21:41like so much of that. Oh.
- 21:43My God, so much. Absolutely.
- 21:45So I, that was the biggest like what I'm the one of the most
- 21:48thankful for of that journey, yeah.
- 21:51That era for you? Yeah, 'cause now I'm like I and
- 21:55to my spiritual director said I like know I shouldn't have.
- 21:59So every time I have that feeling that something's not
- 22:02right, like a. Now you really trust it.
- 22:05You, you just have to at least pause.
- 22:07Like maybe maybe if you, if something, if you're getting
- 22:10anxiety, if you're getting anxiety about something, it's
- 22:13something that doesn't feel right.
- 22:14That is your body and your gut telling you or your instinct.
- 22:19You know God, whatever you want to say, telling you, take a
- 22:25second. There's a reason you feel that.
- 22:26Way take a second. Maybe it's not no, maybe it's
- 22:29not exactly what you think, but it is telling you something's
- 22:32not right. So like breathe, take your time,
- 22:34meditate on it, pray about it, do more research on it and like
- 22:40and it doesn't lie. Our instincts do not.
- 22:42Lie. And you know what?
- 22:42It's such a simple statement to be like, trust your instincts,
- 22:45trust your gut. But like, truly, when you do
- 22:47trust it, like, that's when doors open and you also see
- 22:50things and it's a lot of clarity.
- 22:52Yes, yes. So I started, this was in 2022,
- 22:55like I started work and this is when I had this first revelation
- 22:58and or actually 2021 and I just got cast onto another movie and
- 23:05I had a really bad feeling. Like I had a bad feeling.
- 23:07Yeah. I was like, I don't know, this
- 23:09isn't going to happen. This isn't going to like, and
- 23:13yes, and my husband is like, you're being negative and you
- 23:17know, my agent is saying the same thing, blah, blah, blah.
- 23:20And I'm just like, I don't know, something's not resonating.
- 23:22We go to New Mexico to shoot and the whole time, like something
- 23:26goes wrong. So it gets delayed one day.
- 23:29And by the second time it got delayed to the second day.
- 23:32I was like, this movie is not going to happen.
- 23:34Like it's not going to happen again.
- 23:35My husband is like Rousseff and from WWE is like, no, stop being
- 23:41negative. I'm like, I'm not being
- 23:42negative. And sure enough, the movie never
- 23:44happened. And it happened for a month
- 23:47longer of delay. Finally after a week, I was
- 23:49like, we should go home. Everyone's like we're crazy,
- 23:52blah, blah, blah. It's going to happen.
- 23:53I'm telling you, huge people are in this movie who have worked in
- 23:56the industry for 30 years. And I'm like my instinct, it's,
- 23:59it's not going to happen. Because like logically you would
- 24:01think, well, these major names are on this project, so it's
- 24:04going to happen, but you felt that something.
- 24:05Was going to and sure enough, everyone went from New Mexico
- 24:08City to Oklahoma. Were there for over a month.
- 24:11Nothing happened. But you left.
- 24:13Yes. Oh my God.
- 24:14OK guys, we're trusting our gut 100% from now on.
- 24:17Like how your gut's telling you to rate the show 5 stars right
- 24:19now. We're trusting that we're doing
- 24:21it. That's an like little tip about
- 24:25instincts because I was studying a lot about billionaires and
- 24:28entrepreneurs and they cultivate their instinct as well.
- 24:33And I think like the biggest difference between our gut and
- 24:36our brain and our heart is like our heart only feels and that's
- 24:41really important. Our brain is only analytical,
- 24:44but to have the most correct instincts, it's like get as much
- 24:49facts about it all as possible. And then your gut takes your
- 24:54feelings and facts and kind of resonates that.
- 24:58So the more you we can get actual facts and information
- 25:01because that's the only time sometimes I might be off is
- 25:03like, I don't know enough information.
- 25:05This is why I'm. Feeling.
- 25:06All the information, I like to look at it from every angle
- 25:09before I make any decision, but I'm deeply analytical.
- 25:11And that's why I feel like I need to work on like trusting my
- 25:13gun instincts too. Because there's so many times
- 25:16where I've been like, I don't know, I feel about this, but I'm
- 25:18like, no, but it makes sense. But I really do try to like
- 25:21break everything down to like get a good feel of it before I
- 25:24make any decision. Like I like to be informed,
- 25:26essentially. Totally.
- 25:27You're very analytical, super analytical, are you?
- 25:30So that's interesting. I feel like, yeah, if you, I
- 25:34feel like if 'cause you're so analytical, you get all, if you
- 25:38got all the information and then you just started practicing
- 25:40breath work, 'cause you pray. Yeah, I pray every night.
- 25:44Oh my God, that's amazing. And you, if you like, just take
- 25:49all the information and then do like some breath work, like 5
- 25:52breaths just sitting there and like just pray like God, you
- 25:57know what I might and it's going to come.
- 25:59To the routine because I do pray every night and like honestly, I
- 26:01could definitely use a little breath work.
- 26:03And you mentioned that to me before too.
- 26:05And I need to. There's a lot that I could do,
- 26:07which is myself care. I've been working so hard on
- 26:10this show that I've been really neglecting myself, so it's nice
- 26:14to have those reminders. We have to do that because if
- 26:16not, your show's not going to be the best it can be, yeah.
- 26:17Because then I'm not going to be the best.
- 26:18I'm going to. Be Yeah, you.
- 26:19It's literally that is and. That's the way to get through to
- 26:23me because this is a project I care so much about.
- 26:24I'm like, OK, wait, let me make sure that everything's in tip
- 26:27top shape. So I'm exactly the same way
- 26:30because we're both workaholics, so I will like run my like on
- 26:36empty and. But all of that eventually has
- 26:39an effect, hence why it's. True.
- 26:41And then that's why like when we spoke, when we initially met, I
- 26:44was so burnt out and also Moody and I was so angry and just like
- 26:47I hit that wall. I really did hit that wall.
- 26:49And then talking to you, hearing your perspective really gave me
- 26:53the reset I need needed to kind of move forward and be good
- 26:56again and be able to be like, OK, cool, let's let's get going.
- 26:58Which I'm so grateful for because I feel so much better.
- 27:00Oh my God. And that's something you did for
- 27:02me. You healed me.
- 27:02You're my spiritual director. Oh yeah, I love.
- 27:06You OK, So you have this journey, you have such an
- 27:09incredible career in entertainment, you do all these
- 27:11things and now we end up at WWE. So how did you end up getting
- 27:16into WWE? Oh my gosh, it was a crazy
- 27:19journey. I so when I was in College in
- 27:232007, I was this calendar model and I had this big poster and
- 27:28won this big competition and they reached out to me.
- 27:32And while I was in like I was still 21 in college, and they
- 27:36brought me to Miami and I went backstage to a show and they
- 27:39were recruiting me and I turned it down.
- 27:44Oh, why was it a gut? Thing because it was a gut
- 27:46thing, yes. And I was like, I want to finish
- 27:49college. This was a year before the here
- 27:53before the girl grew. And also I didn't like I didn't
- 27:58really see myself as a fighter. I saw myself as an artist and a
- 28:02entertainer. I didn't a performer.
- 28:04Exactly. I didn't understand what WWE
- 28:06really. Was you weren't like super dived
- 28:07into that world yet. You were aware of WWE, but you
- 28:11didn't recognize that that is performing.
- 28:13Yes. And again, like my instinct was
- 28:16I really wanted to dance professionally and there was a
- 28:18lot more things I wanted to do. And I felt like until I do those
- 28:22things, I didn't want to stop dancing and go and kind of into
- 28:27a different form of story. Yes.
- 28:30So I'm, so, I'm so, so thankful I did that again.
- 28:34Now hindsight, I followed my gut, my instinct, and that was
- 28:36spot on. So I then when I came out here
- 28:39in 2010 and I was dancing on a bunch of different shows,
- 28:43Nickelodeon shows and different artists, I for two years in a
- 28:48row got auditions to come and try us 'cause they would do them
- 28:53in the fall for WWE, for WWE and so.
- 28:55They kept asking you to come back.
- 28:56Yes, they would come and get it and every single time I was
- 28:59always on a job like I was on a 2 week job for I forgot the I
- 29:04think it was Victoria or it was like one of the one of the
- 29:08Nickelodeon shows. Victoria, Justice.
- 29:10Victoria Justice. OK, that was on Disney.
- 29:12Yeah, that, that one. She was on the Nickelodeon
- 29:15thing. Was it a tour?
- 29:16Big Time Rush. That's I was on it for like 3
- 29:18weeks and. That's a dancer.
- 29:20Yes, yes, it was so fun. Oh my God, it was so much fun.
- 29:24But I couldn't go to any of the auditions.
- 29:28So then in 2012 they did this huge diva search, which that's
- 29:33how they casted a couple of the girls for Total Divas and it
- 29:37went for like 7 months and I was one of the girls they picked.
- 29:40They took twelve of us and we had a Newport like a month camp
- 29:45of learning how to wrestle and it's so hard.
- 29:50Didn't know how to wrestle initially.
- 29:51No and I. Trained for it.
- 29:54And it's so hard. I don't think people understand.
- 29:56Like, This is why they put us through a month camp, because
- 30:00all of us girls were either professional dancers or models
- 30:03or actresses, and they wanted to see if we were durable enough.
- 30:08And it's crazy, like us just hitting the ropes back and
- 30:11forth, like immediately we were bruising, like literally huge
- 30:16bumps and scabs and blisters. And yeah, it's so hard.
- 30:21It's so hard. I was like, I know.
- 30:24I was like, I don't know if I can actually.
- 30:27Like, not glamour. Living, it's hard, but I just
- 30:31fell in love with it and I loved it.
- 30:33Was kind of like I felt that my entire life up to that point I
- 30:37was always doing different forms of entertainment and I wasn't
- 30:41fulfilling everything like I. Didn't hit all the marks.
- 30:44Exactly like dancer was hitting this mark.
- 30:47Life performing live and then television and film was the more
- 30:51storytelling and verbal part. And then I wanted to be an
- 30:54athlete with action figures and cards and dress up and do photo
- 31:00shoots. There's so many different angles
- 31:03to performing in. A lot of it focuses on one or
- 31:06you get one thing out of it, like you said, but you wanted to
- 31:09entertain, you want it to be in front of an audience.
- 31:11You want to do something physical, you want it to tell a
- 31:14story, and you also want to tell a story with your body in
- 31:17different forms and take pictures and be that star and
- 31:20really step into to being famous.
- 31:22And you found that with WWE. It was the perfect mix of
- 31:26everything you loved. Yes.
- 31:27Wow. And I, I truly just fell in love
- 31:30with professional wrestling overall professional wrestling
- 31:33because I, I love it. I love the aspect of the life
- 31:37storytelling and the characters and the good versus bad.
- 31:40But WWE specifically is it's louder, larger than life and.
- 31:47You love that. Too, I love that.
- 31:49And it's it's a like a rock star.
- 31:52It's literally like a rock concert with pyro smoke
- 31:56fireworks. Yeah, all the bells and
- 31:59whistles. He has all the bells and
- 32:00whistles, the costumes, the sequences.
- 32:04Good versus bad comedy love. Storytelling.
- 32:09Storytelling. Yeah.
- 32:10It's all about story. Yeah.
- 32:12No matter what we do, I love that.
- 32:13And you've been loving storytelling just in every
- 32:16medium that you've explored. When it comes to entertaining
- 32:18entertainment, it's about storytelling for you it.
- 32:20Really is. And you think WWE is
- 32:23storytelling, but with your body.
- 32:24Yeah, yeah. And it's you're absolutely
- 32:27right. That's why I love TikTok and
- 32:28Instagram too, because they're platforms of storytelling.
- 32:31Absolutely. And it gives you the place to
- 32:33be, but to be creative like that, too, with low pressure,
- 32:36low stakes versus like a big, big, big like platform and
- 32:39audience like with WWEI mean, I'm sure like, it's still really
- 32:42big. TikTok and social media, yeah.
- 32:44No, that's. Crazy.
- 32:45Yeah. Yeah.
- 32:46So when you get into WWE, this is actually where we're
- 32:49introduced to Lana. Tell us about Lana.
- 32:53Lana, the ravishing Russian Lana, She was a ice queen and
- 32:58she likes to crush people and she likes to find champions that
- 33:02will go and crush for her. And you know, she is very
- 33:05opinionated. So I basically got to NXT and I
- 33:09realized there were tons of very good women wrestlers and I
- 33:15wanted to get to the top immediately.
- 33:17So I decided to become the Ice Queen manager and this is when I
- 33:22found Rousseff. Who?
- 33:24And that's where the love story begins.
- 33:27So yeah, I guess like and kind of AI was like.
- 33:30That was intimidating. Yeah, I, I, I was really
- 33:34fortunate and lucky to not get put on Total Divas because at
- 33:38first I got on a couple years later, but I was introduced.
- 33:41I was able to go to NXT and really train with some great
- 33:44iconic people such as Dusty Rhodes and other incredible
- 33:49coaches. And they, I love that I had so
- 33:52many character ideas. Like I literally had five
- 33:54different character pitches full on.
- 33:56I would come in with boards. I'm like, this is the storyboard
- 34:00for the character. This is like I would write.
- 34:02How you envision this character being?
- 34:04I would write so many promos for other people too, where Dusty
- 34:08Rhodes was like, I've never seen someone this creative.
- 34:15And I can just say a lot of the people didn't like me there
- 34:19because they're like, why is she smiling so much and
- 34:21enthusiastic? But.
- 34:23You know what, whatever, because like at the end of the day, you
- 34:26just want to create and you want to be a creative.
- 34:27And honestly, you actually ended up manifesting the existence of
- 34:31Lana. You had vision boards where you
- 34:34would put up things with a Russian in lust, is what you had
- 34:38said? Yes.
- 34:39And then that's what you ended up doing with WWE.
- 34:42Being Lana isn't that crazy. It's it's honestly.
- 34:45But you're good on manifesting. You're big on manifesting.
- 34:47I'm yes, I'm I'm a big believer on manifesting.
- 34:51So I think in 2011 I started reading the secret and then 2012
- 34:55I got the the sister book of the secret called magic and I just
- 34:59started practicing all those practices and every single thing
- 35:03and it's it completely changed my life.
- 35:05I was so broke. I, I had $50.00 in my account.
- 35:08I started practicing manifesting.
- 35:11I got, I wrote checks to myself, I printed out checks from the
- 35:14universe and I would write what I was going to make and I would
- 35:17put it on and all of that stuff has happened.
- 35:19I do that too by the way. I like write checks to myself
- 35:21with the money I want to make. It happens like this stuff
- 35:24really happens. I made a vision board in 2012
- 35:29into New Year's of 2013. That's when I got signed was in
- 35:322013 and I made it. Me and my sister both made
- 35:35vision boards and she's manifested everything as well
- 35:38and it's so powerful. I put I wanted to always play a
- 35:42rush, either a Russian spy or a Russian villain character.
- 35:46I was always going out for these auditions in Hollywood.
- 35:48And so I put Russian with lust on my board and I put on like I
- 35:53when the time is right, I will find my partner and we will find
- 35:58love. People have a child and I put
- 36:02like a little corner up there and I found out later my husband
- 36:06also did a vision board at the same time.
- 36:08That's crazy. And we met seven months later.
- 36:12Oh my God that's insane. You quite literally manifested
- 36:14all of that. Yeah, it's insane.
- 36:16That's crazy and it was just like 1 after the other.
- 36:19It it was, it happened really fast.
- 36:21That was so crazy. The turn around.
- 36:24I I, I still, I'm blown away by it, of how quick it it changed
- 36:29because I was. Lana 1st and then your husband.
- 36:32Lana, then your. Husband met my husband the first
- 36:35day at NXT. Oh my.
- 36:36God and then. Going to be the very first day
- 36:38and then the second day. So he, I don't remember meeting
- 36:41him that day, but he remembers meeting me because.
- 36:44I mean, why wouldn't he? Hello.
- 36:46Look at you. It's hot and flexible.
- 36:49Yeah, so and then I met him again the next day at a tanning
- 36:52salon and I was like. And this is with a bunch of
- 36:55other people in like the NWWE, the WWE.
- 36:58Yes, yes. And so he's like a big guy.
- 37:00So I'm like, are you a wrestler? And he's like, why do you think
- 37:03I'm a wrestler? And I'm like, are you from
- 37:06Russia? You're a really strong accent.
- 37:07He's like Bulgaria. And we instantly became friends.
- 37:11And then the next day, Dusty Rhodes, who's head of creative
- 37:15at the time was wanted paired us to get the work together.
- 37:19And so we just, you know, I was always Miss Hustler.
- 37:22I had I would have him come over and we would shoot promos from
- 37:24the house and. You'd be working.
- 37:27Very much so. And a lot of people would be
- 37:29like, she's only good because she's working with him.
- 37:32And I was like, no, no, no, I'm literally producing these
- 37:35things. Absolutely.
- 37:36And it's your ideas and you're the one who's like spearheading
- 37:38it. They need to put some respect on
- 37:40your name. You are a hard worker and you're
- 37:42so smart and like, I love your work ethic and I love seeing
- 37:44everything that you do with entertainment.
- 37:46It goes so much deeper than just everything you've already done.
- 37:49It's also like we're going to be doing next, which we will
- 37:51literally be talking about, of course.
- 37:54And how did it feel playing the bad guy?
- 37:57Oh my gosh, that like now I can say is by far my favorite thing.
- 38:01But The funny thing is that in this time.
- 38:04So this 2013 August, we're working together, we're doing
- 38:08all comedy stuff my husband and I like with Russian characters.
- 38:12And then they were bringing him up to the main roster and they
- 38:16wanted him to be He's serious because, you know, there's a
- 38:19saying of wrestling that funny don't make money.
- 38:22And it basically the main event, the top stars, they're serious.
- 38:27They can have funny moments. But it's like, it's kind of like
- 38:29how comedy usually doesn't win an Oscar.
- 38:32It's hard to win an Oscar. Oh, right.
- 38:34In comedy versus drama, it's like.
- 38:36Not taking us seriously and there's not as much respect on
- 38:38it versus something that's more serious.
- 38:41Well, Matthew McConaughey used to be the ROM com darling
- 38:45that's. Right and.
- 38:46He chose not to work for two years because he wanted the
- 38:50crossover and drama because he knew that was only way he was
- 38:52going to win Oscar. Oh my God.
- 38:53Which is how he got Dallas Buyers Club and he won an Oscar.
- 38:57There you go. And he manifested that.
- 38:58Did too, yeah. So I, I didn't ever heard of
- 39:03that because I love comedy. I came from Hollywood.
- 39:05I was always auditioning for sitcom.
- 39:07Yeah, and you're fucking hilarious, by the way.
- 39:09I love talking to you. You're so fucking funny.
- 39:17So definitely he was like, OK, we're going to have to make this
- 39:21serious. And I was like serious.
- 39:24He's like, we're just going to have to.
- 39:25And I'm like, OK, so we start doing serious stuff.
- 39:28And it was challenging for me because now I know all of a
- 39:32sudden they're like, OK, you have to be a villain.
- 39:33He's the villain. You're going to be a villain.
- 39:36So he turns on Rocky Four and he's like steady Bridget Nielsen
- 39:40study this woman. And I was the wife to the
- 39:42undefeated Russian bad guy. And we just started to like pull
- 39:48inspiration from that. And I remember it was hard for
- 39:51me at first to be a bitch. You know, I'm like.
- 39:53Yeah, honestly, because you're really genuinely so pleasant and
- 39:56lovely and nice. Like, I mean that from the
- 39:57bottom of my heart, thank you. That's why you're a great
- 40:00performer. Because like when you switch
- 40:01into Lana, I'm like, girl, I'm scared.
- 40:03Oh my God, thank you. It was funny because I would be
- 40:06do. They don't really have this as
- 40:08much now, but at the time they had a lot of casting workshops
- 40:11in Hollywood. And so I would do a ton of
- 40:13casting workshops. And I remember a very big
- 40:17casting director who does all The CW stuff, Arrow, Smallville.
- 40:22Like for years he I did a comedy piece where I was like a little
- 40:26bit of the dorky, quirky Stoner and he's like great performance,
- 40:32awesome performance, but I don't believe you're that girl.
- 40:35Like and that's what acting is all about.
- 40:37And also what wrestling is all about and also what digital
- 40:40creating is all about is like, we want, we want to know, like
- 40:44we want to believe you're that person, you know, and and that's
- 40:48also where always our money pocket is going to lie, right?
- 40:51Is where we realize that people if they see us for 30 seconds,
- 40:55they're going to believe we're that character.
- 40:57And he's like, I just don't believe you're this character.
- 40:59He's like, you're way too confident, way too like your
- 41:04energy is like you do what you want.
- 41:06You walk to the beat of your own drum.
- 41:08And I'm like, OK, yeah, that's very true about me, you know,
- 41:12very, very true. And he's like, so watch, like he
- 41:17said, Jennifer Lawrence, Olivia Munn.
- 41:20He's like, though these type of characters, these type of women
- 41:24are going to those type of roles with I do anything I'm going to
- 41:28do my own thing is what you need to be auditioning for.
- 41:32And so it was interesting. That's what Lana was.
- 41:35Lana is totally like, she's gonna, she don't care if she
- 41:38gets booed or cheer, she's gonna be what she.
- 41:41Believes she's so empowered within herself.
- 41:43She has such a confidence. Yeah.
- 41:45And you're always, like, studying.
- 41:47Like, I noticed that you really do your research just in
- 41:49general. But then, like, your entire
- 41:51upbringing in your life and your career, like, you really, you
- 41:54really, really, really study. You know what I mean?
- 41:55One might say that you're always a student.
- 41:58I, I received that. Thank you.
- 42:00I. I came up with that.
- 42:02I love that. Thank you.
- 42:03That's amazing. I saw it in a vision.
- 42:05That's it's so good. Well, you know, it's interesting
- 42:08because that's what my parents taught me.
- 42:09Like my parents are always like, is that a bit?
- 42:13That was a bit. Oh my God, I care with you.
- 42:16It's Brad's tattoo on his forearm.
- 42:20I knew that you were laughing there.
- 42:22I was like, there's no way that he had it in the vision.
- 42:27The vision gave it away. Oh my God, we don't have AC
- 42:34today. So I I really need to I need to
- 42:37pull back on the on the bits me love a bit, but you really do
- 42:41truly study so much and I feel like that's something that's
- 42:44like stop back into that so quickly.
- 42:48Oh my God, you really do study so much.
- 42:51Like genuinely like. And I love that you were so well
- 42:53researched and prepared because I, I do say this, I'm not
- 42:56coining it, but luck does favor the prepared.
- 42:59And you've had so much fortune in your entertainment career,
- 43:01too. Well, thank you.
- 43:03I received that. Thank you.
- 43:05It's funny because I had this being printed out on by besides
- 43:09my besides my bed. That said, luck is when
- 43:13opportunity meets those who are prepared.
- 43:16Oh I love. That I've just, that's been a
- 43:18big, a big thing for me. And also, this industry is a
- 43:21marathon, you know, you just have to stay in the race and.
- 43:24Keep working hard and I feel like a lot of people give up too
- 43:26quickly and soon, which is completely fair.
- 43:28This industry like entertainment industry will crush you.
- 43:30Oh my. God.
- 43:31It will absolutely crush you. Well.
- 43:33Yeah, it's it's a lot. I mean, that's why a lot of
- 43:36people become addicts and you know, that's the long you know,
- 43:39we so many people in any of these industries will addiction
- 43:44and it's just hard because of these things, you know, and but.
- 43:49And the industry in general and the environment it really it
- 43:52calls for especially like it's all over the place.
- 43:54And I know when we were at that passes dinner and we're talking
- 43:57and you mentioned that you were recently sober.
- 44:00Oh yeah. Yeah, so I think that's so
- 44:03admirable, especially because like genuinely, in this
- 44:05entertainment industry, when you go to the parties, when you go
- 44:07to the events, like it's always going to be like it's you're
- 44:10surrounded by it. You're surrounded by indulgences
- 44:12and vices and people are partaking and like these are
- 44:15high stress, high anxiety environments, you know what I
- 44:19mean? It's they're so it's so
- 44:21stressful. So I yes, it was hard for me at
- 44:26the passes dinner and that's why I really appreciate you when I
- 44:28said I had to verbalize it because yeah, it's like helps me
- 44:32stay. It helps with my accountability.
- 44:35And what was it? I got a mocktail afterwards
- 44:38immediately. It helped me like I was fine
- 44:40afterwards. But it's like, I definitely
- 44:42think like the drinking for me started was just because I have
- 44:47anxiety. You know, you constantly are
- 44:49going out to dinners or going out to premieres or going into
- 44:52work events and then. Everyone's perceiving you.
- 44:54Yes, and everyone's looking at you and I I get shy.
- 44:58And having that crutch too, and then beginning to get reliant on
- 45:01it. And I honestly, yeah, you know,
- 45:02like I told you about that dinner, like, you know, I really
- 45:05admire that you are sober. And it is.
- 45:07So it's still challenging and difficult.
- 45:08And even though you've been in the industry for as long as you
- 45:11have been, it's like still navigating it.
- 45:13And this is a brand new journey for you.
- 45:14So yeah, how's it for you being pretty much what you've been
- 45:18doing your entire career in life, still in the entertainment
- 45:20industry, still in Hollywood, but now doing it sober?
- 45:22How does that feel? It feels amazing it it.
- 45:26Definitely. Thank you.
- 45:28Thank you. I definitely am so much more
- 45:31productive in so many ways because like after I left the
- 45:34dinner, I went home and I edited.
- 45:36I did work. Hell yeah, I worked that night
- 45:38too on this episode. Yeah, yes.
- 45:42So that would have never happened, like never happened
- 45:45before. I would have drink like four or
- 45:47five drinks. And another thing with Adderall,
- 45:49you drink more, you know, And so I would have done like four or
- 45:51five drinks at dinner and then I would have been like, let's keep
- 45:53drinking and let's go out. Let's keep socializing.
- 45:56And I'm such a, I'm a good time, you know?
- 45:58Especially like when you got started.
- 46:00It's hardest. And.
- 46:01It's like we're having a good time.
- 46:02This is fellow should be. You know, and we're working a
- 46:05little bit. Yeah, one in the morning high,
- 46:08you know, and it's just like the next day.
- 46:10I'm more sluggish. The the the crashes are worse.
- 46:13My body, the there's honestly nothing good for our bodies with
- 46:18liquor like there's, it's poisoned on our body.
- 46:20I literally was going to say that.
- 46:21I always think about that. I'm like, whenever I drink, I'm
- 46:24like, I'm quite literally poisoning myself right now.
- 46:26Literally just for like a moment of feeling less anxious about
- 46:29something or feeling a little more brave about something, you
- 46:32know what I mean? Totally.
- 46:33And that's where really when I got into therapy this year and
- 46:37my whole Wellness journey this past year, I realized, OK, why
- 46:41am I doing this? I would smoke a lot of weed,
- 46:44then estesize myself. And I knew that.
- 46:46But then I was like, OK, the Adderall and the drinking is
- 46:50literally because I'm shy and I'm anxious and I need to feel
- 46:54like superhuman. And it's just like not good for
- 46:58you long term. It's really not good for you.
- 47:00And so that was like a big part of why I decided this stuff is
- 47:03having some just really affecting my marriage.
- 47:06Yeah. And affecting my relationships.
- 47:08Yeah. My family.
- 47:10Their clarity, my clarity. Trust your gut gets a little
- 47:12muddy for sure. Absolutely.
- 47:14And also just like it was affecting my career, to be
- 47:18honest, it was affecting my. I was having such bad brain fog.
- 47:22Yeah, my brain fog was so, so bad.
- 47:25Yeah, 'cause then I had to be put on a mood stabilizer.
- 47:27Oh my God, That's crazy because of the crashes from it and it's.
- 47:30And that's the. It led to a lot of consequences.
- 47:32A lot of consequences and especially in the West society,
- 47:35we're so quick to just give people pills like, Oh my God,
- 47:38you're OK, This is going to solve the problem.
- 47:40This is going to, instead of being like, what is the root of
- 47:42the problem? You know, and all these things
- 47:45have side effects. So it's like, yeah, Adderall
- 47:48helps us focus, but then the crash is intense.
- 47:51It makes you more anxious and puts your there's all these.
- 47:53So you have to outwit kind of go like this.
- 47:56So the first step for me was cutting the drinking.
- 47:59And then I've I worked with a therapist and a psychiatrist to
- 48:01come off the medicine and thank you, thank you.
- 48:05So it's great. I I feel like now when I'm out,
- 48:11it's just I sometimes have those moments where I'm like, Oh my
- 48:14God, I want to, I want to have a drink and it's.
- 48:17Important that you verbalize it and also you acknowledge it for
- 48:20yourself, too. We are human totally, at the end
- 48:22of the day. Yeah.
- 48:23So I love that you told me that too.
- 48:25And then I was able to support you and like, you know, not that
- 48:28you needed me, but it's good to know, you know?
- 48:30Yeah, thank you. And you were so supportive.
- 48:33You're like, I won't drink. And I'm like, no, no, I want you
- 48:34to drink. And I, I want to like talk about
- 48:38these things because it's people like Tommy Holland.
- 48:42He was on the on purpose a couple years ago with Jay Shetty
- 48:45and he talked about how he was sober for a year.
- 48:48And I was so because at the, at that moment in time, I was super
- 48:51manic. Like I was just partying a lot.
- 48:53I would go out and I would party and do drugs.
- 48:56Do you feel like that's the culture in LA though?
- 48:57Absolutely, Absolutely. You know.
- 49:00Like, give me a break, Coachella.
- 49:02Like you can go to Coachella and be sober like how I was this
- 49:04year. But you know, yes.
- 49:06Oh, he was so proud. Of you.
- 49:08Thank you. Was it?
- 49:11It was more fun this year. So much more fun.
- 49:13So much more fun and you're more present.
- 49:14Yes, you can enjoy it so much more.
- 49:16Yes, and also then I don't like the come downs were just I'm
- 49:20very sensitive. So the come downs were just too
- 49:24intense for me and I was just was getting really depressed and
- 49:28it. Was affecting you deeply.
- 49:30Yeah. And I'm I'm just thankful it it
- 49:34is interesting. And it's funny because it's like
- 49:36identity crisis keeps on coming as I think about like I used to
- 49:39wear the mask, the party girl, right?
- 49:41That was like my mask I would put on to protect myself and
- 49:45like shield myself. And now it's like now the sober
- 49:48girl, right? And both of it can have be
- 49:51dangerous if that's who you totally are instead of it
- 49:54becomes just a part of you. And that's what I'm working on
- 49:57right now is just like eventually it it's just a part
- 49:59of me. It's like, yeah, I'm sober, but
- 50:01it's not all of me. And yeah, I'm excited about this
- 50:06journey that I'm on and reconciling, reconciling,
- 50:10reconciling with people and situations.
- 50:14And I hope to inspire other people too.
- 50:17Well, CJ Perry, we already know you are a multi faceted
- 50:20individual. So not only with all of your
- 50:22talents and everything that you can do and you can do so much,
- 50:25but there are different parts of you and they can all coexist.
- 50:30And I actually learned that from my new favorite podcast,
- 50:33Identity Crisis with CJ Perry and Jonathan Selva.
- 50:36Can we talk about your new podcast Identity Crisis?
- 50:38Oh my God, thank you. Isn't that good transition?
- 50:43Let's talk about your new podcast.
- 50:44I fucking love it, guys. Oh my God, It's literally so
- 50:47well, can I, can I flex it for a second?
- 50:49I would love that. It's so incredibly well done.
- 50:51The conversation is so natural and easy and seamless.
- 50:54And it's just like a good listen to feel good and also know that
- 50:58you were genuinely not alone. And a lot of us go through
- 51:01identity crisises. And a lot of us, you know, deal
- 51:03with imposter syndrome. A lot of us deal with our
- 51:05thoughts and who we are and discovering who we are.
- 51:08And it's not always a linear path.
- 51:10And that's what I love about your show is hearing it and
- 51:12hearing the guests that are on your show talking about it with
- 51:15you, hearing your own personal experiences, getting to know CJ
- 51:17Perry a little bit more because you were known, you know, so
- 51:20well known for being Lana. And now we got to see more CJ
- 51:23Perry, which I personally, personally, personally fucking
- 51:26love. And her Co host Jonathan is also
- 51:29so incredible. It's a great show.
- 51:31Oh. My gosh, I'm.
- 51:32Highly critical. By the way, guys, I'm highly
- 51:35critical. Tell us about Identity Crisis,
- 51:37your new podcast. Oh my gosh, thank you for the
- 51:40amazing flex for introduction. Gosh, it's about having identity
- 51:45crisis. It's also about, it's about so
- 51:49much stuff. It's about like I was a
- 51:52professional faker on TV, you know, essentially like
- 51:56pretending to be a professional wrestler as I'm learning how the
- 51:59wrestle on television. And so I think like that's what
- 52:03an identity crisis called ultimately is.
- 52:05It's like we're constantly trying to pretend to be
- 52:08something because we think the world wants it or the the
- 52:12constructs that we live in. Our family wants this or the
- 52:15Internet wants this. And it might not even be true to
- 52:18ourselves. And so that's why we ultimately
- 52:21go through through these mental breakdowns or these identity
- 52:24crisis or depression or anxiety is because something isn't
- 52:29resonating, you know? And so that was kind of like the
- 52:32beginning of it, of just talking about my different identity
- 52:37crisis. You've got so many identities
- 52:39throughout your. Life too.
- 52:40And that that's the thing too is like, I've had so many
- 52:44different, I feel like lives in my life that I wanted to share
- 52:48those different opportunities and talk to people, especially
- 52:52people. And I'm not just talking to
- 52:54people in the entertainment industry, but in the
- 52:56entertainment industry, we have a persona that we put out.
- 52:59Even people on social media, they don't realize like even
- 53:02yourself, like there's your persona and your public identity
- 53:06and then there is your identity. And so also getting to have this
- 53:11conversation of who's your public identity and who, who are
- 53:15you? And that goes into like even our
- 53:18heroes and our healers, you know, our our healers.
- 53:21That is like an I want to have my acupuncturist on because I've
- 53:25learned so much from her. And she, there's so many things
- 53:29like she's helped save my life, you know, and my quality of
- 53:32life. And so she has her identity.
- 53:35She doesn't really share any of her own story.
- 53:38And she's a recovered addict. Also comes from film like so
- 53:41interesting. And it's I want to bring on
- 53:44people that we can learn from the improve our quality of life.
- 53:48And a lot of times we don't know them and their journey like that
- 53:51because there are healer, they're our doctor, they're our
- 53:54therapist, right? And that's how we see them.
- 53:56We compartmentalize them, right? They're our PA, they're our
- 53:59producers. Exactly.
- 54:00Right, exactly. And also just heroes, you know,
- 54:03the, the, the local heroes, the I mean, we don't give enough, we
- 54:06don't talk enough about people that help our lives every single
- 54:10day. The firefighters, you know,
- 54:12yeah, the police, the. I mean, I know that a lot of
- 54:15times people are like defund the police, but they also protect
- 54:18us, you know, and I just want to have a lot of good conversations
- 54:22like how we had and. Being open minded, right?
- 54:25Learning from people, learning about their awesome moments in
- 54:29life and also their failures. Because the more we part of the
- 54:33story, it's all about a part of the story.
- 54:34Absolutely. And you love a story.
- 54:35I love a story. I love a story and I want to
- 54:38hear people's stories. Yeah, and I want to learn from
- 54:41their stories. I love hearing their stories and
- 54:43your stories on identity crisis. They're such empowering
- 54:46conversations and I feel like they make a difference and it is
- 54:48so healing. And for me to put in my little
- 54:51two cents is I feel like it's so relatable.
- 54:53You know, everyone goes to an identity crisis.
- 54:55It doesn't matter who you are, right?
- 54:56It's not even spanning just in the in the entertainment
- 54:59industry. It's also like you said, like
- 55:00doctors, firefighters, you know, like you're acupuncturist,
- 55:03right? Like people are going through
- 55:05things and that's something that I have to learn.
- 55:07And I feel like your show is a comfort show and feels good to
- 55:10listen to and it feels so healing.
- 55:12It was very healing for me. I'm I have some questions about
- 55:15the show for you. So I want to know, you know, how
- 55:18you spent most of your career being directed, you know, being
- 55:22told what stories to tell, what characters to play.
- 55:24This is you sitting down saying I'm CJ Perry and I got to tell
- 55:27my own story. Now.
- 55:29How is that feeling for you and the difference you know?
- 55:32Well, that's, that's a really good question.
- 55:34Thank you. I like that question too.
- 55:39Thank you. Gosh, I, you know, it's
- 55:43interesting because I've always wanted to direct.
- 55:45I always wanted to produce. I as long as I can remember the
- 55:48two things, a couple things I was always doing was bossing the
- 55:52neighborhood around to do plays or, and then also charging
- 55:57everyone in the neighborhood to come and watch the play.
- 56:00So I was always trying to make a dime, like as long as I was
- 56:03like. You've been hustling.
- 56:04Always, you know, so I'm like, that's a gift.
- 56:06Thank you. But also just love, I love
- 56:09creating. And so, yeah, I can tell that
- 56:13about you. So I think that has always been
- 56:17there and I've always been. Even as a dancer, I would be
- 56:19choreographing and creating and on and WWE I a lot of people
- 56:25don't know there's when I was on the mix Max challenge, I on
- 56:29Facebook watch, when Facebook watch this started, we I shot
- 56:33all these like training vignettes with my husband and I
- 56:36and I would I would shoot it, I would edit it and then I would
- 56:39give it to the WWE digital team and they would post it on WWE
- 56:43YouTube page and on their Facebook and they all have like
- 56:4510, fifteen, 20 million views. And so people don't realize that
- 56:51I have been producing. Yeah, that was you.
- 56:54You had a heavy hand in that. Yes, yes.
- 56:56And I feel. Like there's so much discredit
- 56:58when it comes to things like that.
- 56:58You're just gonna see the platform and maybe like it was
- 57:01this, but it was like, no, you made the initiative and you
- 57:02wanted to do that, and now you got to do it on your own terms
- 57:05too. On Identity Crisis.
- 57:08I'm so excited. I two years ago shot a pilot and
- 57:13then with Johnny and I was like, we're not ready yet.
- 57:16I need to do my hyper focus, ADHD focus.
- 57:21I know that research. Period.
- 57:23So I did that for two years and then I'm like, now we're ready.
- 57:26Oh, you're beyond ready. What an incredible show.
- 57:29And I really do like that because I remember you
- 57:31mentioning before in AEW that, you know, they gave you a lot of
- 57:35direction and you didn't get a lot of say in what they were
- 57:37telling you to do. And, you know, as a performer,
- 57:39you perform. Yeah, this is your platform now.
- 57:42Yeah, it's so true and. It's so empowering and I think
- 57:45the entire story of how this even came about, because the
- 57:47first iteration of this podcast with CJ and Johnny was actually
- 57:51not Identity Crisis. What's the what's the origin
- 57:54story? What's the lore?
- 57:55So the first one that we were, it was we wanted to do basically
- 58:01this podcast of like VIP access, the traveling to wrestling
- 58:06shows. And the tagline was
- 58:09rediscovering our love for professional wrestling because
- 58:12he's a childhood super fan. And then I became a super fan of
- 58:16professional wrestling as an adult and.
- 58:19Like, I love wrestling. Yes.
- 58:21And so we it was like a year after I'd finished in WWEI
- 58:25wasn't back in AW yet and or back at WWE.
- 58:29So that was a we were going to different AW shows, WWE shows
- 58:34and like all the partying that we would do and we're like this
- 58:38is going to make a great podcast, which I'm sure would
- 58:42have done great, but I think this is better.
- 58:46This direction that you're taking is like truly speaking to
- 58:48where you are in your life right now, which is Wellness and
- 58:52self-care and also personal growth in your own personal
- 58:55journey and sharing. That really makes a difference.
- 58:58Even like we said, if it makes a difference to one person, that's
- 59:01all that matters. But I just want to let you know
- 59:03your show has made a huge difference for me because I was
- 59:05in a huge rut and then your show really brought me out of that.
- 59:09Thank you. Oh.
- 59:11My God, thank you. Your show did the same thing.
- 59:14So I, I did a ton of research on I like I was sharing to you
- 59:19before I, I just want everyone to know here that I, I the prep
- 59:23for your show watched. I think it was 6 episodes out,
- 59:27five or six episodes. I had watched all of them.
- 59:31It was amazing. I became obsessed with you yes,
- 59:36because it just I could tell how hard you work.
- 59:39I could tell how you focus on small little details.
- 59:43I receiving that's I couldn't believe it actually, and so
- 59:47immediately I was like writing down like I want to talk to him
- 59:49afterwards because I have all these different.
- 59:52Questions. Yeah, I got, I got things to
- 59:54say. Thank you so much.
- 59:57Yes. And I was really encouraged by
- 59:59you. Like I, I think there was a, a
- 1:00:01part of me that. This thing is such a marathon
- 1:00:06and so when you're and it's wave.
- 1:00:08So when you're on a low when you're low and the tide is back
- 1:00:12it and the tide is low to be. Discouraged.
- 1:00:14It's easy to give. Up yes and the longer you're in
- 1:00:18this game the more you start to get in your you're like maybe
- 1:00:19I'm too old maybe I'm too this I'm too that I'm too you know
- 1:00:23maybe I think I'm smart but I'm not smart you know all these
- 1:00:27things and. All variations of an identity
- 1:00:29crisis. Yes, absolutely.
- 1:00:32And losing this like your purpose almost, you know, easily
- 1:00:37it when you take away what you do, it's like, well, what's my
- 1:00:40purpose? You know, and I just kind of had
- 1:00:43given up of like, even though I'm AWWV legend now, which I'm
- 1:00:47so thankful for. I like my dream is to come back
- 1:00:52and help my husband become champion and help other people
- 1:00:57become champions and become GM of Monday night raw.
- 1:01:01And I feel like I had given started to give that up because
- 1:01:05I'm like, it might just not happen for me and this other
- 1:01:07dreams too. And when I watched your show and
- 1:01:10heard all these things that you're talking about,
- 1:01:12manifesting and believing and prayer, I just got encouraged
- 1:01:15like, you know what? I'm not going to.
- 1:01:17I'm not going to give up on that.
- 1:01:18And you shouldn't. You can have it all.
- 1:01:20There's a reason that you want it.
- 1:01:22And what's nice is that you spoke into existence and we have
- 1:01:24it right here on camera that you were going to be a general
- 1:01:28manager of Monday Night Raw and help Rusev become WWE champion
- 1:01:33and have the most viral return in WWE history.
- 1:01:38We're manifesting all of that. We'll get more into it later,
- 1:01:40but like, honestly, yeah, there are no limits.
- 1:01:42There are no limits. And I love that you're stepping
- 1:01:45into the delulu of it all because it makes it become true
- 1:01:48Lulu. It's true, Lulu, absolutely.
- 1:01:51Yay, what? Can you tease any guests that
- 1:01:54are on your show? Maybe?
- 1:01:55Yes, Oh my gosh, who do we got? So we have a Rousseff, Yes.
- 1:02:01And it's actually one of our first episodes that we talk
- 1:02:05about our breakup. That's right.
- 1:02:07Up for a. While separation, 2023.
- 1:02:10Yes. And quite a bit of like the
- 1:02:13first maybe 7 or 8 months of 2024, Yeah, we were, we were not
- 1:02:18to the fall. We started kind of talking about
- 1:02:20getting back together. So we dive into that.
- 1:02:25It's a lot of exclusive Lulu. Because we've been wondering
- 1:02:28what happened there, you know? So that's love that bit of tea,
- 1:02:35Yes. And I, I actually am in shock
- 1:02:37that I got to talk about it because he's like, it's not a he
- 1:02:42doesn't always like to do media. So it was a big deal.
- 1:02:44Totally. And that's what that's why
- 1:02:46you're a great manager. Thank you.
- 1:02:48You brought that out for him. Thank you.
- 1:02:50Thank you. So that I'm really excited about
- 1:02:51that we have you were. Really cute in that episode.
- 1:02:53By the way, I love the shirt you're wearing.
- 1:02:54Where can I get that shirt you're wearing?
- 1:02:57His merge. Oh yeah, Erosive Crush.
- 1:03:03You can get it on WWE shop, so please go get it.
- 1:03:06We will be going yes. So yeah, he's on it.
- 1:03:11We have I'm like who else do we have?
- 1:03:14We have Ariana or Cameron from WWE, she's on Daria or also
- 1:03:20Sonia Deville from former WWE Superstar, which super excited
- 1:03:24about that. But Neil, who is AUFC fighter,
- 1:03:27who it was phenomenal. Like.
- 1:03:30Literally phenomenal. And then we had you so far, too.
- 1:03:34Yeah, me. So we have 5 episodes and we are
- 1:03:38filming more. Awesome.
- 1:03:39Oh my God. And it's like I said, it's
- 1:03:41really, really, really great. Everyone, we're going to be
- 1:03:43streaming Identity Crisis with CJ Perry and Jonathan Saba 100%
- 1:03:48yeah. So and put a review and comment
- 1:03:50too please. Yeah, make sure you guys are
- 1:03:52leaving a five star review on that show as well.
- 1:03:55So actually fun fact, Lulu, both of our podcasts, we share a set.
- 1:04:00This is our shared set. Yes, we are pretty much sister
- 1:04:03wives, but. Yeah, we are.
- 1:04:05And I love it. But yeah, our shows are produced
- 1:04:08by passes. And you actually are recently
- 1:04:11new passes creator. Yes.
- 1:04:13What can your fans find on your passes?
- 1:04:15What can we expect for you from you on your passes?
- 1:04:18Why should everyone join? Oh my gosh, thank you at.
- 1:04:20Cjperry.com Yes. You guys, honestly, I love my
- 1:04:26passes because I post a lot. So I I really post kind of how I
- 1:04:30used, I'm very active. Yeah, I used, I post on there
- 1:04:33kind of how I used to post on Instagram, basically everything
- 1:04:37like my whole day I post, I post all behind the scenes to any
- 1:04:42events. I also have like a serious
- 1:04:46throwback Thursday to a bunch of things in WWE and the locker
- 1:04:51room and stories and pictures and unseen content.
- 1:04:54A same with AW stuff. Is like the best way to connect
- 1:04:57with you deeper and get to know you more outside of identity
- 1:05:00crisis of course. And what I love is that I'm able
- 1:05:03to, like, directly message you and talk to you.
- 1:05:05Yeah. And, like, have that interaction

- 1:05:13a lot of wrestling stuff. I live stream over there with
- 1:05:17wrestling, but for Monday Night Raw, always also smack down
- 1:05:21sometimes and the premium live events all live watch.

- 1:06:12Lulu on identity crisis. You've been in the industry for
- 1:06:15so long. Do you have any hot Goss any T
- 1:06:18Lulu for us that you want to share with the delulu besties?
- 1:06:23Too much to share I'm. Like I always have tea that
- 1:06:27might be oh, I am going to have I actually should share this for
- 1:06:30sure on cjperry.com. If you subscribe to the podcast
- 1:06:34here, there is exclusive on the podcast here over sharing with
- 1:06:38CJ Perry. And but you have to subscribe to
- 1:06:41that to get the over sharing with CJ Perry and that's
- 1:06:43honestly where you will get tea. Oh, 'cause you be gapping, girl.
- 1:06:47I love a good stirring the cup. Oh, OK.
- 1:06:52Like I I can't. Help.
- 1:06:53That's where we're going to get the real T Lulu.
- 1:06:55Hell yeah. OK, I'm a I'm a.
- 1:06:58Join that to your girl, period. I love the little giggle.
- 1:07:00You a little menace. Oh, my gosh.
- 1:07:03OK, well, because you shared that T Lulu with me, I'm going
- 1:07:06to share my T Lulu with you. OK.
- 1:07:08OK, CJ, you're going to have to help me.
- 1:07:10So I just got this sent in this morning to the De Lulu PR team.
- 1:07:15Oh my God the Delulu Daily has just been on my ass.
- 1:07:19Which is the DCU delulu cinematic universes version of a
- 1:07:22tabloid essentially. ATMZ did.
- 1:07:24You start this. Oh yeah, we're in a world right
- 1:07:30now, girl. But.
- 1:07:32Yeah, they just released another fucking article about me.
- 1:07:35I haven't read it yet, but I did keep your name on it.
- 1:07:37And could you just read it to me so we could see what's going on
- 1:07:41here? I I haven't seen it yet, but
- 1:07:44this is. This is the delulu.
- 1:07:46This is the Delulu Daily. Oh my God, I'm scared.
- 1:07:49So this is a tabloid about me and CJI did glance at the
- 1:07:53headline. It stressed me out a little bit.
- 1:07:54But I was like, CJ is coming on the show today.
- 1:07:56So let's let's just squash it. Let's clear up any rumors.
- 1:07:59OK, let's do it. Am I reading all of this?
- 1:08:01Yeah. Hello.
- 1:08:02Yeah, OK. Delulu Daily exclusive secret
- 1:08:07feud brewing between Delulu host Ryan Liu and Identity Crisis
- 1:08:13star CJ Perry. Brad, did you know about this?
- 1:08:17Oh my God, what did they say? Secret Feud.
- 1:08:21Oh my God. What is it?
- 1:08:23Is there a feud brewing between The Delulu podcast host Ryan Liu
- 1:08:27and Identity Crisis host CJ Perry due to sharing a set?
- 1:08:34Yeah. Oh my God.
- 1:08:37I mean, you, you do be booking on the days I want to shoot,
- 1:08:40I've noticed, but I wouldn't say I was ever upset about that.
- 1:08:43The word on the street is that the tension is stirring things
- 1:08:47up at Passes headquarters. Not the HQ.
- 1:08:50Oh my gosh, the HQ. What started as a friendly
- 1:08:53competition has allegedly spiraled into side eyes due to
- 1:08:57scheduling confluence and guest overlap tension.
- 1:09:03Sources say. The two avoid interaction.
- 1:09:07I mean, yeah, I just, I don't know what to tell you, but I
- 1:09:11need you to leave right now. The law.
- 1:09:13Has flipped out. Yes, and maybe I should start.
- 1:09:16Someone always leaves utterly the set early when they're
- 1:09:22booked on the same day. Fans even clocked Ryan posting
- 1:09:26unhinged shady insta stories. And Lana of course didn't hold
- 1:09:32back obviously stating I built empires and stilettos and they
- 1:09:40tight bun. But if this turns out physical,
- 1:09:45I am aggressive and I will literally break your spine.
- 1:09:50A direct threat here. Onto Lulu.
- 1:09:52That's on. Camera With both podcasts
- 1:09:55rising, we might be heading toward the first ever podcast
- 1:10:00crossover fight and Lana is already lacing up her boots.
- 1:10:06Much crash you. I'm not scared of you, Lana.
- 1:10:10Well, you should be. Let's do it now.
- 1:10:13Let's Duke it out. We'll clear the set.
- 1:10:15Do you want clear my set? Body slam you right now, I will
- 1:10:18do it. OK, let's clear my set.
- 1:10:21CJ. My set is a Lulu.
- 1:10:24Set No. I have some respect right now.
- 1:10:28OK, well, let's clear the rumors up.
- 1:10:33Yes, it's true. CJ Perry and I do share a set.
- 1:10:38Oh. My God.
- 1:10:39I had a little identity crisis when I came in to do your show
- 1:10:43because I was like, oh, I'm ready to film the Lulu.
- 1:10:46And my props weren't here. I didn't see my pillows, my Dulu
- 1:10:51bears and I, I felt, I felt a type of way.
- 1:10:55I don't know who leaked that story.
- 1:10:56I suspect it was Brett, but. Brett, I will break you 2 in
- 1:11:02half. Mainly him to be honest.
- 1:11:05It's all his fault. But it is all love here at
- 1:11:08Tululu and honestly, like I said, CJ and her sister wives.
- 1:11:12No beef, no drama here. Oh, that's a side eye.
- 1:11:22K fave don't tell anyone. Oh TT new wrestling word for
- 1:11:26everyone. K fave means it's a secret.
- 1:11:29Don't. Break character.
- 1:11:31OK, well, I'm popping for that. Yeah, I've learned a lot on
- 1:11:37Identity Crisis. Yes, another wrestling word.
- 1:11:40And I brought it with me in my life now.
- 1:11:42Well, no BCJ, how do we feel? I mean.
- 1:11:47Oh, should we work it out? What's the What's?
- 1:11:52The I mean you have no chance to stand against me, so good luck.
- 1:11:55I mean, it was my step. First eat some eggs and do some
- 1:11:59pushups and then we will fight. OK, I actually have people who
- 1:12:04do that for me. So Brett, eat some eggs and do
- 1:12:07some pushups. No, no, no.
- 1:12:12I love you. I.
- 1:12:12Love it. You love us.
- 1:12:14Oh my God, I'm so sorry. They're just.
- 1:12:16You know how the? You know how the?
- 1:12:18Press Internet. You know how the tabloids?
- 1:12:19Are I know it's like we're Jessica Simpson in 2004.
- 1:12:22It feels like it. It really feels like it.
- 1:12:24Oh my gosh, that was crazy. We.
- 1:12:26Can't get the paparazzi us like off like Justin.
- 1:12:30Literally. Us, they're just following us.
- 1:12:32It's they're hounding us. They're actually outside the set
- 1:12:34right now. My set OK.
- 1:12:37So we. Have a segment here on delulu
- 1:12:39that we're going to play with you and my bestie Lulu's would
- 1:12:42love to get a little bit more CJ.
- 1:12:44So we're going to be playing oh Lana Brett can handle that CJ
- 1:12:51right now though, so we're going to play WWADGD, which is our
- 1:12:55segment here on delulu. What would a delulu girl do?
- 1:12:59My bestie Lulu's over at my passes.
- 1:13:01Besties have submitted their questions, concerns, dilemmas
- 1:13:05and they would love our delulu advice on it.
- 1:13:07It could be serious or it could be delulu.
- 1:13:10We just want to hear what you would do in these situations.
- 1:13:13Are you ready? I love it.
- 1:13:14Let's go. OK, so bestie Lulu number one.
- 1:13:19You know what? I'll just admit it for the
- 1:13:21messiness. This is my question.
- 1:13:22I have a crush on my therapist. He's stressing me out but I
- 1:13:26can't talk about it to my therapist because he is my
- 1:13:28therapist. What do I do?
- 1:13:30That one was me. I submitted that one.
- 1:13:33Wow. Oh my gosh.
- 1:13:34Wait, so. He watches the show.
- 1:13:35Oh. My gosh, that's wait, this is
- 1:13:37amazing actually. So for real this is a for real
- 1:13:39question. I have a crush on him but in
- 1:13:41like a daddy way. He's like so fatherly to me and
- 1:13:43he's like so like caring and nurturing and he really listens
- 1:13:47to me and like gives me a vice and is a therapist.
- 1:13:50So I do have a little crush on him.
- 1:13:54I just had a therapy session with him literally 2 days ago
- 1:13:56and I swear to God I thought I saw him on.
- 1:13:59I thought I saw him on Grinder. I thought I saw him on Grinder.
- 1:14:02And I asked him and I was like blank therapist name.
- 1:14:06I think I saw you on Grinder. Was this you?
- 1:14:08He had the same age as you and he looks like you.
- 1:14:10And then he was like no. And I was like, OK, I think I
- 1:14:14believe, I believe you. I do.
- 1:14:15But then I was like, in my head, I was like, I wouldn't have
- 1:14:18minded. Feeling you.
- 1:14:20What would you do CJ? What should I do in this
- 1:14:23situation? Can't talk about my therapist
- 1:14:24because he's my therapist and have a crush on him.
- 1:14:28So what do you do if you have a crush on your therapist?
- 1:14:32Yes, what should I do? I have a crush on my therapist
- 1:14:34but I can't talk about it's my therapist because he's my
- 1:14:36therapist. Oh my gosh.
- 1:14:38What should I do, CJ? I don't know what you should do.
- 1:14:41What would Lana do? Crush him like.
- 1:14:46Would tell her therapist right now.
- 1:14:50She would literally say I know I should not say this and don't
- 1:14:54tell anyone but I have big crush on you.
- 1:14:58I kind of like that I'm actually a big, big believer in telling
- 1:15:01people if you like them and like being clear of your intentions.
- 1:15:04I I do like that. I just feel like cuz he's my
- 1:15:06therapist shouldn't. It's not that big of a crush by
- 1:15:09the way. Like it's very cutesy and tame.
- 1:15:12Oh, OK. I mean, I would, CJ definitely
- 1:15:15would not in that setting, you know, But I have always was that
- 1:15:23girl for sure. If I had a crush on someone, I
- 1:15:24went after them. Really.
- 1:15:26Yeah, I was. Definitely did.
- 1:15:27You find yourself chasing like your interests, like you know,
- 1:15:31going after them, pursuing. Them chasing is the right word
- 1:15:34because like once I like chasing for a relationship.
- 1:15:38Absolutely not because I'm just like I, I just don't chase
- 1:15:44relationships. Oh yeah, and none of us chase.
- 1:15:46We attract. Exactly period and a purr but if
- 1:15:51I have a crush on someone like not now but like prior and my
- 1:15:56husband prior to Miro, if I had a crush I would just like
- 1:16:01definitely go let it be known like go after.
- 1:16:04It me too actually. I notoriously tell my crushes I
- 1:16:06have a crush on them. Yeah, totally.
- 1:16:08I would definitely pursue it and then I let it.
- 1:16:10Like been on the therapist situation.
- 1:16:12Yeah, now that's. A little complicated.
- 1:16:14OK, besties, what would you do? Leave a comment.
- 1:16:16Oh, yeah. Let us know.
- 1:16:18Yeah. Where am I doing the therapy?
- 1:16:19Yeah. Just like in his bedroom.
- 1:16:22I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding.
- 1:16:24I'm just kidding. No, it's it's through my.
- 1:16:27It's through Kaiser. It's like my health thing.
- 1:16:28Yeah. I'm like.
- 1:16:29If it was better help, you could just change this.
- 1:16:32No, I need him so bad. So if you happen to be watching
- 1:16:35this, disregard it. Anyways, so we have another
- 1:16:40situation here and this one is not mine.
- 1:16:43So this is from anonymous bestie Lulu on my past this community.
- 1:16:46I'm trying to unfriend this girl but she literally shows up
- 1:16:49everywhere I go and I swear she's stalking me, what do I do?
- 1:16:53Oh, that's a hard one because I have a friend like that too.
- 1:16:56No way. Yeah, and we do.
- 1:16:58I just keep it neutral. That's good.
- 1:17:04Because this is the, yeah, this is the thing.
- 1:17:07It's like, is the person dramatic?
- 1:17:09You know, like. Or they were doing too much.
- 1:17:11Yeah, because if the person that is pursuing you is drama, they
- 1:17:14could create a much, much worse headache if you're like, I don't
- 1:17:19want to be friends with you. A. 100% because then they're
- 1:17:21going to blow it up and they're going to make a big deal.
- 1:17:22I completely agree with that. It's a delicate situation, yes.
- 1:17:25And sometimes I'm impersonal, you know what I mean?
- 1:17:27For sure. Yeah, I I have a friend I'm not
- 1:17:29going to go too in detail about. It name them right now, you'll
- 1:17:33get that on the 3rd tier of CJ Perry's passes.
- 1:17:39So yeah, it just has to be so many times.
- 1:17:41I just want to turn to this person and go, I'm I can't be
- 1:17:43your friend anymore. Like, please, this is not
- 1:17:46working for me. And for about 20-9 different
- 1:17:49reasons. But then I'm like, no, that's
- 1:17:52what that person would do. And this person loves drama and
- 1:17:54this person. Would tell this.
- 1:17:55Exactly. So exactly so just like, be nice
- 1:18:01and cordial and keep it moving. You're busy.
- 1:18:03Period. You're too busy for that exactly
- 1:18:05and you don't want to focus on it.
- 1:18:06I guess that's my advice too keep it neutral because you
- 1:18:08don't want to blow it up. You don't want to make it
- 1:18:09sensationalized and you know people are capable of being
- 1:18:13people is totally what I have to say about that.
- 1:18:15Keep it neutral. I completely agree with you on
- 1:18:17that totally. So we have one more from another
- 1:18:20anonymous bestie, Lulu in my past this community, they ask my
- 1:18:24boyfriend's roommate keeps explicitly hitting on me.
- 1:18:27What do I do? I I've been in that.
- 1:18:31Situation What? Would you?
- 1:18:38Do I get you? That is, we've been in that
- 1:18:42place. Before Oh my.
- 1:18:43God, Oh, yeah, yeah. I was in a really awkward
- 1:18:47situation recently where a wife's.
- 1:18:50I didn't know these people very well.
- 1:18:51I was at my friend's birthday party and the wife's husband was
- 1:18:54hitting on me every single time. She would just like leave his
- 1:18:58side like could be like right over there by the door would be
- 1:19:03like openly hitting on me and I was like, this is very weird.
- 1:19:07You know, again, I what are you supposed like?
- 1:19:11What am I supposed to go tell the wife?
- 1:19:12And then all the drama breaks out, you know, because.
- 1:19:15There's no perfect answer for that because it creates
- 1:19:17situations. I would avoid at all costs.
- 1:19:20Like that's it. I don't know.
- 1:19:23It just can get really, even when I've told my husband
- 1:19:25before, like, hey, this guy was hitting on me.
- 1:19:27Like maybe we worked with some people.
- 1:19:29And especially when we were like on and off, you know, and people
- 1:19:34knew we were like on and off or we're broken up.
- 1:19:37A lot of guys that he worked with would hit on me and slide
- 1:19:42in my DMS and I just you didn't want to.
- 1:19:50No, OK. And one or two of them I might
- 1:19:54have told my husband, and that did not go over well.
- 1:19:57Oh my God, blame. It on me and so no he.
- 1:20:00Didn't. Yeah.
- 1:20:01So, but you didn't initiate No, no, no, no, no.
- 1:20:04So that's where I'm like, I feel like.
- 1:20:08It's such a like a grey zone. Situation because sometimes like
- 1:20:12I, we always have to put ourselves in the other person's
- 1:20:14shoes. So like put yourself in your
- 1:20:15boy, the boyfriend, your boyfriend's shoes or my
- 1:20:18husband's shoes. Like if he was like, hey, this
- 1:20:20girl's hitting on me, I would maybe be pissed at like, are you
- 1:20:23giving a reason? You know, I do try to understand
- 1:20:25like. You want to have empathy?
- 1:20:27Totally 100%. And so that's where I just kind
- 1:20:30of like now if someone is hitting on me or giving me not
- 1:20:34even this like a weird, like there's a just again, my
- 1:20:38instinct isn't really resonating with this.
- 1:20:40I just avoid that person. You know, like you just have to
- 1:20:43remove your situation and you have to tell that person too.
- 1:20:46Like you have to tell that person stop doing this.
- 1:20:49Acknowledging it. Is weird and it's inappropriate
- 1:20:53and it's disrespectful and if you do it again I will have to
- 1:20:56tell my. Oh my God, you were so evolved
- 1:20:59and mature. I love that answer.
- 1:21:01Like very very very like. Well thought through.
- 1:21:04Am IA bad person? If I say that I would like that
- 1:21:08attention is that terrible of me?
- 1:21:13I'd be like, hey babe, can I come over?
- 1:21:18I'm half kidding, I'm half kidding.
- 1:21:20I'm half. Kidding.
- 1:21:21Only half. Though only half because you
- 1:21:24know what? We're the the Brett Ryan
- 1:21:26blackmail jar is just filling. OK, I'm I'm half joking.
- 1:21:34I don't know what I would do but.
- 1:21:36You're honest with that? You like the attention?
- 1:21:37I do like, yeah, I mean, I am, I'm going to be honest about
- 1:21:40that. I would like the attention.
- 1:21:41I think it would, like, tickle me, but I don't think I would
- 1:21:43act on it and I really wouldn't do anything about that.
- 1:21:45And honestly, it comes down to the situation was like, I'm not
- 1:21:48hitting on my boyfriend's roommate.
- 1:21:49My boyfriend's roommate is hitting on me.
- 1:21:52You know what I mean? So I feel like I'm absolved from
- 1:21:54responsibility from that, you know?
- 1:21:56I agree with you completely. I do the like.
- 1:21:59This is something with straight men, I don't know how it is with
- 1:22:04other men. All men are the same.
- 1:22:07Well, I do think like straight men and This is why no means yes
- 1:22:11is a terrible name because if you do just like that, like you
- 1:22:16don't say anything. They're going to keep pounding.
- 1:22:17They think it's no means yes. Oh my gosh.
- 1:22:21Not the iconic girl group from the late 2000s.
- 1:22:25Oh my gosh. And we know how that turned out.
- 1:22:33OK, set at the boundary. You're really saying like stand
- 1:22:36on that so. It's interesting because a lot
- 1:22:37of my gay guy friends who are married, they have no problem.
- 1:22:41Like if they have bring some guy friends over and one's getting
- 1:22:44hit on like they'll end up doing, they'll end up like they
- 1:22:49live in their best life and. Oh my God, it's also a little
- 1:22:51bit. Different, I think maybe that.
- 1:22:53This is a it's so many, it's so nuanced, like it's a nuanced
- 1:22:56question. There's so many layers.
- 1:22:57It's a situation. It's who's this roommate?
- 1:22:58Like who is this boyfriend to you?
- 1:23:00Like there's so much to get. The dynamic of that everyone's
- 1:23:03dynamic is different a. 100% and maybe it could be appropriate or
- 1:23:06maybe it could be something that needs to be discussed.
- 1:23:08I think, I guess realistic, Lulu, it comes out of
- 1:23:10communication, maybe talking about a boyfriend and if it is
- 1:23:13something that makes you uncomfortable, you know what I
- 1:23:15mean? Like definitely express.
- 1:23:16I want to express it to the boyfriend, you know what I mean?
- 1:23:18Like at the very least they can talk about it with the roommate
- 1:23:21or something of the sort. I just think when my encounters
- 1:23:24like going and talking to my significant other often like it
- 1:23:29causes more drama than me or that person.
- 1:23:32If they have a significant drama a like significant other, if
- 1:23:36they find out it causes more drama instead of like literally
- 1:23:39talking to the source and being like hey a. 100%.
- 1:23:42So that's like, if you really want to like cut it, there's
- 1:23:47something I was going to say about this.
- 1:23:49I totally forgot. Oh, but this is like a much
- 1:23:51better, bigger subject. I I sometimes wonder if
- 1:23:55heterosexual relationships unless it isn't fully open
- 1:23:59relationship, which is It happens but not as common I
- 1:24:03think versus like my friend is actually she's my publicist and
- 1:24:08she's gay, but she's in a Polygon.
- 1:24:12Is that a right word? I believe you.
- 1:24:14I don't know Poly. Relationship.
- 1:24:15Yeah, polyamorous, Polyamorous. Polyamorous.
- 1:24:19Paulie Kewell. OK, Paulie, don't.
- 1:24:22We believe you, Paulie Kewell. Relationship where she's
- 1:24:26actually married, her girlfriend is married to a man and he like
- 1:24:33is able, he's allowed to like go hook up with other people and
- 1:24:35then she has a girlfriend and that's my publicist and they
- 1:24:41have a full on relationship and then like sometimes they all
- 1:24:43hook up and it's very interesting.
- 1:24:45I love that for them. So sick.
- 1:24:47I love the forms of love and like, you know what?
- 1:24:49Like one thing I really loved. I think it's amazing.
- 1:24:53I never heard of like, never knew someone that close.
- 1:24:55That was I'm like, tell me all about it.
- 1:24:57Oh, 100% give me the T Lulu on that.
- 1:25:00I think like that's such an interesting topic for me just in
- 1:25:02relationships in general and sexuality.
- 1:25:03And we don't even have to get into it because I could really
- 1:25:05get into it. But what I loved when I was
- 1:25:06studying psychology was human sexuality.
- 1:25:09And it's just like so deeply nuanced and it's not black and
- 1:25:12white, but I think people like to believe it's black and white,
- 1:25:15which complicate complicates things and I think it can lead
- 1:25:19to an identity crisis. You know what I mean?
- 1:25:21So there's there's a lot that goes into that.
- 1:25:24That's a really interesting bit though.
- 1:25:26Yeah. Oh my gosh.
- 1:25:27OK, that's TTT. Well, you might.
- 1:25:30You might need to have an exclusive podcast for your
- 1:25:34passes. Absolutely.
- 1:25:35When we get funding for that, then yes, I would, I would
- 1:25:38happily, happily do that. I love, I love creating.
- 1:25:44So if anyone wants to fund that, yes, I'm very open to it.
- 1:25:48OK, well CJI, ask every guest on every show.
- 1:25:53I want to know what is your most delulu take?
- 1:25:57What do you got for us? I'm pretty delulu.
- 1:25:59I got some. I got some delulu up in here.
- 1:26:01Wow. Let's see Delulu like just
- 1:26:05anything. It could be silly,
- 1:26:06controversial, serious, it could be anything really.
- 1:26:10What's delulu for you, Lulu? Like a delulu opinion anything.
- 1:26:15Oh my God. It might not even be delulu.
- 1:26:17I might agree with you, OK. Gosh, let's see.
- 1:26:21I don't know. I don't believe in aliens.
- 1:26:28I don't think that's not the Lulu.
- 1:26:30Actually, it's a Lulu. I fully believe in aliens.
- 1:26:32Really. We're the aliens.
- 1:26:35Is this a bit? No, we're the aliens.
- 1:26:36We're the aliens. Who are the people or who's not
- 1:26:38the aliens? Well, what are people?
- 1:26:40It's not a bit. It's not a bit, but it's a
- 1:26:42little introspective, Lulu. Like we're, we're the aliens,
- 1:26:44you know what I mean? Like, we are aliens.
- 1:26:47Yeah. Everyone's an alien.
- 1:26:48Like, not even in, like, in any way where it's like they're
- 1:26:50foreign things. But like, you got to think about
- 1:26:52it, like, think about the world and the universe as a whole,
- 1:26:55right? There's so much out there.
- 1:26:57And to a different planet, to a different like.
- 1:27:00I mean what is aliens? Is it on other?
- 1:27:02Something foreign, I suppose. Like something alien, you know
- 1:27:05what I mean? So foreign in a different area.
- 1:27:07It could be. I mean, there's so many.
- 1:27:09There's so much nuance to that. I know I'm about to have an
- 1:27:11identity crisis y'all, and we'll talk about it on your show.
- 1:27:17I believe in aliens though. I feel like I have a hard time
- 1:27:20believing in aliens like men and black aliens, you know, like
- 1:27:24Independence Day aliens where it's like they come down and
- 1:27:27space ships and they're these crazy creatures and stuff.
- 1:27:31Like I just it's like one of those things of how a lot of
- 1:27:34people, not a lot of people, but some people are agnostic where
- 1:27:37they're like I'll believe in God when he shows himself.
- 1:27:39Like that's how I believe in aliens.
- 1:27:40Like I do believe there is there has to be more lifeout there as.
- 1:27:44I say you don't think there's like more out there?
- 1:27:46I definitely believe like, since I am so spiritual and I do
- 1:27:50believe in a higher power, I absolutely believe that there is
- 1:27:53so much more than we can even comprehend with our brains out
- 1:27:56there. Absolutely.
- 1:27:57Even in this world that we're on, you know, like 75% of the
- 1:28:00oceans aren't even explored. That's so crazy.
- 1:28:02They are the aliens. Yeah, yeah, for.
- 1:28:04Sure, absolutely. So that I'm like, I, I think is
- 1:28:06really cool with Elon Musk, like with his like his, his quest to
- 1:28:10get the bars, you know, I think it's that quest to be explorers
- 1:28:16and adventure. That's how you know it's so
- 1:28:19important. That makes so much sense for you
- 1:28:20because you genuinely are someone who is a student and you
- 1:28:24like to learn and like you're so curious about everything and you
- 1:28:26want to learn more about everything.
- 1:28:27I am. So curious.
- 1:28:28Well, we'll find out. Maybe we'll get to Mars and
- 1:28:31then. Yeah, there's a bunch of living
- 1:28:34things there that would be so cool though, and.
- 1:28:36Then we'll find out exactly. And then then we'll agree that
- 1:28:40aliens are real. OK, we'll revisit.
- 1:28:43We'll revisit this. OK, we're going to play a quick
- 1:28:46game here. This is a rapid fire one.
- 1:28:48This is our game claim or rebuke.
- 1:28:52Claim is you accept, rebuke is you reject, you don't want it.
- 1:28:55Claim is like you do want it. So I'm going to wrap fire some
- 1:28:57topics. You can give contacts to your
- 1:28:58answers or you can just answer. OK, OK.
- 1:29:01So my first one here is I want you to claim or rebuke between
- 1:29:06AEW or WWE. You have gone on before to state
- 1:29:10that they are very different even though similar similar.
- 1:29:14You said AEW is more match driven and WWE is more
- 1:29:17performance driven and you just like being a storyteller.
- 1:29:20Which one of those two are you going to claim or which one is
- 1:29:23are you going to rebuke? Oh, got you.
- 1:29:28Good. OK, what did I say that AW was?
- 1:29:34I said it was that. Quote from CJ Berry AEW is more
- 1:29:38match driven and WWE is more performance driven, but you
- 1:29:44prefer storytelling as a driving force when it comes to either of
- 1:29:48those. Claim.
- 1:29:52You're going to claim. Absolutely.
- 1:29:53Claim I Absolutely, I believe story's everything and I think
- 1:29:57that's a big part of what lacks it's.
- 1:29:59A big part of your story, too, yeah, People connect with.
- 1:30:01Story, you know. Would you have a preference
- 1:30:03between AW and WWE? Can you say?
- 1:30:07I prefer WWE. Period.
- 1:30:09And that makes sense because you actually had one of the most
- 1:30:11viral comebacks in WWE ever. I'm claiming it.
- 1:30:15It's yours, period. Claiming that for you.
- 1:30:17Too. OK, you can only claim one
- 1:30:20performance medium for the rest of your life.
- 1:30:22For the rest of your career, meaning acting, singing, break
- 1:30:26dancing, you do everything. You have to choose one that you
- 1:30:29have to stick to for the rest of your career.
- 1:30:32That's not a claim or a rebuke, though.
- 1:30:34You're claiming 1. Oh, got you.
- 1:30:36I'm not saying claim. I have to say the thing that I'm
- 1:30:38claiming. The one that you're choosing,
- 1:30:40Yeah. Oh my God.
- 1:30:44I know, huh? That's a hard one Got.
- 1:30:46You good because you love so many things.
- 1:30:51Oh. Gosh, you're starting a new
- 1:30:55venture as a host. What would you want to do that
- 1:30:58for the rest of your career? Oh my God, I I don't even know
- 1:31:02what to say. OK, we can't decide.
- 1:31:05We can. We can.
- 1:31:07We can like. Produce probably.
- 1:31:10Oh, really? Yeah, you've actually mentioned
- 1:31:11that that you wanted to get into producing and directing too.
- 1:31:14Producing or directing that? Makes a lot of sense.
- 1:31:16I like that too. Because it could be anywhere
- 1:31:19too. You could produce direct and
- 1:31:21wrestling and WWE. And.
- 1:31:23AW, you could probably. Still, all these different
- 1:31:26avenues that you like when it comes to entertaining.
- 1:31:28Yes, OK. You can be in it.
- 1:31:30You can produce and be in it, or you can and not always be in it,
- 1:31:34which is great because there's a ton of things that I would want
- 1:31:37to produce that I would maybe not be right to be in it.
- 1:31:40Right. But I would be please cast me.
- 1:31:43Yay. OK, you're going to claim or
- 1:31:46rebuke one of these two options. Are you claiming or rebuking
- 1:31:51being hot or being flexible? Definitely claiming being
- 1:31:57flexible. Really claiming being hot.
- 1:32:00Sorry to my lovers, OK? So.
- 1:32:04Are you going to claim or rebuke the rock?
- 1:32:08Rebuke. No, I I will claim him, but I
- 1:32:11will much crush you. What's the T Lulu on that?
- 1:32:14What's the beef with the rock? Well.
- 1:32:16He actually that's really funny because Oh my God, funny story.
- 1:32:20So we had a in 2014 epic, epic segment with him where he we
- 1:32:27didn't even know we were doing our segment with the Rock.
- 1:32:30They gave us paper, told us that, told I learned this whole
- 1:32:33promo and everything. And then they're like 7:15 meet
- 1:32:36by this bus backstage. We go, they're like, OK, come
- 1:32:40into the bus, we're going to practice this segment and
- 1:32:41they're like, OK, walk in The Rock is there Dwayne Johnson and
- 1:32:46they're like, sorry, this is new segment.
- 1:32:49And so and mind you, half the segment we did on the fly out
- 1:32:52there, he was like, follow my lead.
- 1:32:53It was insane, the most insane experience.
- 1:32:56Like it was so electrifying. They call him the most
- 1:32:59electrifying superstar, WWE superstar in the world.
- 1:33:02And truly like I was getting goosebumps being in the middle
- 1:33:06of the arena with all the people in the chance.
- 1:33:08It was insane. So anyways, he called me a
- 1:33:12street Walker. Why?
- 1:33:13Because I was hot. And flexible.
- 1:33:16Period. So then he came back about a
- 1:33:19year ago, a year later, a year and a half later and ran like I
- 1:33:23was engaged to my real life husband.
- 1:33:25And he, the segment was basically him calling me out
- 1:33:29that he we did a bunch of like wheel bearers, wheel, wheel.
- 1:33:33Wheelbarrows. Wheel wheel barrels,
- 1:33:37Wheelbarrows. Wheelbarrows.
- 1:33:39Wheelbarrows good. Word for alma.
- 1:33:42Yeah, wheelbarrows and all these other flexible moves in his
- 1:33:45hotel room after that last time we met.
- 1:33:49And then my husband appears. It was a really funny segment,
- 1:33:53but for some reason him and many other people in WWE, the guys,
- 1:33:58because I was such a villain and they can't hit women and
- 1:34:02wrestling anymore. They the only way that they can
- 1:34:05get their zinger, their comeback is, you know, the dish you this
- 1:34:09the woman and it is professional wrestling.
- 1:34:12So slut shaming would be a very easy reward.
- 1:34:16Like the whole crowd would chant and you know, just is what it
- 1:34:21is. So that was kind of like my
- 1:34:23husband and I like really, it was a built up thing and I was
- 1:34:27coming and I remember the Internet even writing about us
- 1:34:30numerous amounts of times because roses would fight
- 1:34:33matches in my honor. And they're like, why are we
- 1:34:36booing this married couple that are always together?
- 1:34:41And literally he fights to protect her and fights in her
- 1:34:44honor, and they're the bad guys, you know?
- 1:34:46And it's like, that's crazy. And so then when he went to AW,
- 1:34:50he started the right promos talking about his hot, flexible
- 1:34:53wife. And he was fighting for his hot,
- 1:34:55flexible wife. There we go, changing the
- 1:34:57narrative. It all came from the rock I
- 1:34:58guess. First plugged it in.
- 1:35:00OK, so CJ Perry is cleaning the rock.
- 1:35:02Lana is rebuking the Rock. Yes, love it.
- 1:35:05Love to hear it. I didn't know any of that, that
- 1:35:07story that's so good. I.
- 1:35:10Got to save some tea for you. Oh.
- 1:35:11My God, I love it. Thank you for bringing it here
- 1:35:13to Delulu. OK, so I have two more for you.
- 1:35:17Are you claiming or rebuking? This one's going to feel random,
- 1:35:20but it's not Sydney Sweeney. Claiming I love her.
- 1:35:25How do you know? Oh, we research.
- 1:35:28How did you know I love her? You.
- 1:35:31Love her. Do you like somehow see that I
- 1:35:34post her on Instagram story or something?
- 1:35:36I have never seen that, no. My Co writer deep dives on your
- 1:35:39Twitter and he screenshot 9 instances of you retweeting
- 1:35:44Sydney Sweeney praise. And he was like I think we
- 1:35:46should put this in the show. And I was like is it really that
- 1:35:49deep? And he was like, do you think
- 1:35:51her retweeting 9 times is a lot? I was like, I'll bring it up and
- 1:35:55claim and reviews. Oh my God that's so funny.
- 1:35:58I I did like I just occasionally will retweet like it's hot gifts
- 1:36:01and hot pictures of her I. Think she's hot?
- 1:36:05You're good, OK. But I do post her on my
- 1:36:08Instagram story a lot because she's just like, the one thing
- 1:36:10about her I love that she's hot and beautiful and she's a
- 1:36:15traditional actress who embodies her sexuality and embodies like,
- 1:36:20like is OK with showing her titties.
- 1:36:23Like yeah, exactly. You have hot titties.
- 1:36:25And besties, if you want to see my titties, you can check my
- 1:36:27passes. Community enjoying that.
- 1:36:30That's where you get all the exclusive Ryan content.
- 1:36:35So are we claiming or rebuking being on a reality show again?
- 1:36:40Claiming. Hell yeah, let's do it together.
- 1:36:43Yes, OK, yes, let's do it. Reality.
- 1:36:47Realistically, I feel like I wouldn't do a reality show.
- 1:36:49Really. I don't know you.
- 1:36:50Should do Surreal Life. OK.
- 1:36:53Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's a nice big paycheck.
- 1:36:56How? Yeah, it was only two weeks.
- 1:36:58It's like 2 weeks, OK, It's big. It's like, so worth it.
- 1:37:01Hell yeah. I mean, and to me, yeah, when
- 1:37:05you're in the house, you're like, what am I doing?
- 1:37:07Why not, you know? But then afterwards you're like,
- 1:37:09oh, that was so worth it. OK, wait.
- 1:37:11And I met a lot of friends, like Manny Mua.
- 1:37:14I'm still really good friends with him.
- 1:37:15I love him. Oh yeah, that's right.
- 1:37:16You understand? There, Yeah.
- 1:37:17And Tamar Braxton. Yeah, they were great.
- 1:37:21OK Yeah, everyone was great on the show.
- 1:37:23I mean, Dennis Rodman was special, but.
- 1:37:26That's T Lulu. Yes.
- 1:37:28OK, CJI got something for you. The fans are dying to know.
- 1:37:32This is a highly requested question.
- 1:37:35So how do you explain the fact that you never held a title as
- 1:37:39champion in WWE? Oh, that's a good question.
- 1:37:45You scan a Lulu. Gosh, wow.
- 1:37:48Well, I would say I have never been champion.
- 1:37:54Yes, yes. And you will.
- 1:37:57And we're manifesting that from. Lulu yes, yes, yes, yes.
- 1:38:00But I I'm so grateful because I was able to help bring several
- 1:38:05of my clients to the highest level of what they do and do it
- 1:38:11in great shoes. So Oh my.
- 1:38:12God, and it is so fabulous. Absolutely.
- 1:38:14And help bring titles to them. And I'm so thankful.
- 1:38:18I, I just, I was so grateful I was able to be front row
- 1:38:22watching some of the greatest athletes in the world fight and
- 1:38:26compete and have these experiences that many people
- 1:38:29never have. And I was able to be there and
- 1:38:32help them, steer them and guide them and shape them and, you
- 1:38:37know, help them become multiple champions.
- 1:38:39And being a part of that's so incredible in itself.
- 1:38:42Yes, yes. And I Paul Heyman was always one
- 1:38:45of my favorite characters in WWE and he's, in my opinion, one of
- 1:38:48the greatest managers of all time.
- 1:38:51And he's still going hard and over 30 years in the business
- 1:38:55and an entrepreneur and I always, you know, I want to
- 1:38:59become the next. I want to become the first Lana.
- 1:39:02But you know when he retires to. You are the first, Lana.
- 1:39:08Thank you. Thank you and.
- 1:39:10You're opening so many doors too, for all the future Lanas.
- 1:39:12Thank you. So yeah, maybe in the past I've
- 1:39:15never been champion, but we never know what in the future
- 1:39:18holds for a lot. I mean, you are going to be
- 1:39:20champion and you're going to be the Money in the Bank champion
- 1:39:24and you're going to hold the title as champion.
- 1:39:27And we're all manifesting this. It's all true, Lulu.
- 1:39:28And I mark my words, I will have Brett do this clip.
- 1:39:32The part of you manifesting this show on this show and that you
- 1:39:36became champion is going to be like a whole little fan edit and
- 1:39:40it's going to be amazing. And we're so proud of you in
- 1:39:42advance. Congratulations on being
- 1:39:43champion. Thank you.
- 1:39:44I claim it and I receive it. Period.
- 1:39:46It's yours. We're being OK.
- 1:39:48We're manifesting that for sure. But we close out every show by
- 1:39:51manifesting together. What else are we manifesting
- 1:39:55right now? What's next for CJ?
- 1:39:56What do you want? I want to have a baby.
- 1:40:00Oh, Oh my gosh, A little Ryan. A Ryan junior.
- 1:40:05Yay. Yes.
- 1:40:07And then Ryan Junior gonna have that delulu bear.
- 1:40:09Ohh my gosh. And I love this delulu bear.
- 1:40:12Well, it's Ryan Juniors. Off the tell, Off the tell Miro
- 1:40:15that we've already decided the name.
- 1:40:17We sure did. We absolutely did.
- 1:40:19So you're manifesting a baby? Yes.
- 1:40:22Talk about it. Well, I'm actually in my process
- 1:40:25of doing IVF right now. So everyone please keep us in
- 1:40:28your prayers. Yes, we've been trying to have a
- 1:40:32baby for a long time and probably since I've been
- 1:40:35probably like 6 years now and yes, so.
- 1:40:38It's a journey. It is a journey.
- 1:40:39And so for everyone that thinks it's just easy for anyone to get
- 1:40:43pregnant, it's actually a miracle every time life comes
- 1:40:46into this world, you know, and I, I think a lot of women and
- 1:40:52probably men too, but a lot of women, we spend half of our life
- 1:40:55trying to not get pregnant. And then next thing you know,
- 1:40:58you're like, Oh my God. Like.
- 1:41:00Yes. And so, and also, you know, I
- 1:41:04think people don't realize it's like how how many people really
- 1:41:09do fight, like really struggle with this and people don't want
- 1:41:12to talk about it 'cause it's. Good that you're being open
- 1:41:15about the journey too, because you're right, it doesn't have a
- 1:41:17lot of representation, or at least enough representation.
- 1:41:20Yes, yes. So I did my first egg retrieval
- 1:41:23in January and that was successful.
- 1:41:26And then yes. And then my husband had his
- 1:41:29sperm taken and frozen a couple months ago.
- 1:41:32Yes. Then I start my, I just actually
- 1:41:37yesterday started the injections for we're going to try IVF this
- 1:41:41time and then unfreeze the sperm and my eggs, take more eggs from
- 1:41:47me and then try for the embryos and pray and pray that we have
- 1:41:51children. Oh my gosh, Ryan Junior is
- 1:41:53coming along absolutely well. I'm popping for that.
- 1:41:57Yeah, I'm taking all the positive energy and it's it's
- 1:42:00going to happen. Yes, it's happening and it's
- 1:42:03it's. I'm so excited for you.
- 1:42:06Congratulations in advance. Thank you.
- 1:42:08I'm coming to the baby shower. Yes, yes, yes.
- 1:42:11And I'm going to spoil Ryan Junior y'all Oh.
- 1:42:14My God. Ryan Junior will get all the
- 1:42:16Dulu merch. Ryan is a gender neutral name by
- 1:42:19the way. It is.
- 1:42:21I'm stand on that. Yes, we can have a a reveal
- 1:42:24party. Yes, Oh my God, and.
- 1:42:26Our joint set. Oh, hell yeah.
- 1:42:29Yeah. We'll that we'll splash the
- 1:42:30rumors at the gender reveal party for Ryan Junior.
- 1:42:33Absolutely. Yay.
- 1:42:34I'm popping for that too. Yeah.
- 1:42:37Yay. OK.
- 1:42:37Manifesting a baby already yours.
- 1:42:39Congratulations. Of course.
- 1:42:41What else are we manifesting? The success of Identity Crisis,
- 1:42:46which already exists. Pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop.
- 1:42:50Yes. More acting roles.
- 1:42:52Pop pop pop pop pop pop. Maybe singing more singing.
- 1:42:58Definitely more dancing. I love you on the Dancing with
- 1:43:00the Stars. Oh my God, that's my.
- 1:43:02Dream. Oh, my God, You're going to do
- 1:43:03it. Literally my dream.
- 1:43:04I'm going to vote for you every week.
- 1:43:06Wait, is it a voting show? It is a voting.
- 1:43:07Do I vote? We're voting for her every week.
- 1:43:09Besties. Oh, yeah.
- 1:43:10Pop pop pop pop pop. Imagine if that's the reality
- 1:43:13show that we're both on. Oh well, I'd be off real quick.
- 1:43:17You never know, your friends could come out and vote
- 1:43:20everything. I'm competitive, so yeah, that's
- 1:43:23true. OK, I'll take it.
- 1:43:25You know, I'll do it. I'll definitely do that for
- 1:43:27sure. I'm open to everything.
- 1:43:29Universe. You heard that here.
- 1:43:30OK. And then you're also manifesting
- 1:43:32being the general manager of Monday Night Raw.
- 1:43:34Yes, Oh yeah, period. Period.
- 1:43:36And then also manifesting, helping Rusev becoming AWWE
- 1:43:39champion. Yes.
- 1:43:40Period. Period.
- 1:43:41And also manifesting becoming Money in the Bank champion.
- 1:43:45Yeah, and then also manifesting the most viral WWE return in
- 1:43:51history. Oh my gosh, yes, period popping.
- 1:43:54And on top of all of this, you're manifesting, I'm
- 1:43:57manifesting this CJ Perry tour. Yes, yes.
- 1:44:03Oh my God. I just went down the wish list
- 1:44:06of everything that you want and you know what with your track
- 1:44:09history of being able to manifest everything in your life
- 1:44:12if you're pretty good about this.
- 1:44:14I've received that and I claim it.
- 1:44:16Period. And you know what?
- 1:44:17Fun fact, Lulu, Actually, a lot of my guests who come on the
- 1:44:18show experience unprecedented success after their episode
- 1:44:23comes out. I've noticed that.
- 1:44:24I've noticed that. Yeah.
- 1:44:26Oh my gosh, It's so great. That's incredible.
- 1:44:28And you're going to join that coveted alum and this.
- 1:44:32Yeah, that's exciting. OK, so we're manifesting all
- 1:44:34that, claiming all that. Yes, we're claiming it.
- 1:44:36We're claiming all of it, claim claiming, manifesting.
- 1:44:39It's going to happen. Already happened.
- 1:44:43Yes. Claim.
- 1:44:44Claim. And also I'm open to what's
- 1:44:49supposed to happen because I think like when we were talking
- 1:44:51about opportunities, meet those who are prepared.
- 1:44:54And that's what luck is, is that's what my life was.
- 1:44:58And I think you we talked about that on identity crisis with you
- 1:45:01too is like working hard, working hard, working hard and
- 1:45:04then going after what you want, going after you want.
- 1:45:07But I might have thought that what was going to make me famous
- 1:45:10and rich was ballet or dance as a little girl and your.
- 1:45:15Path went a different direction, but you still got exactly what
- 1:45:18you wanted, and you still were able to manifest what you
- 1:45:20wanted, even though maybe the journey wasn't exactly what you
- 1:45:23imagined. And I love that.
- 1:45:25That's how I feel too, actually. Yeah.
- 1:45:27When I was manifesting what I wanted because I wanted to
- 1:45:29perform and be an entertainer, I was measuring myself being a
- 1:45:32Disney star, which today I don't even want to be a Disney star.
- 1:45:34But like, what I'm doing now is like, it is so much better and
- 1:45:37it's so much more appropriate for me and makes way more sense.
- 1:45:40And for sure, exactly that manifestations happen in so many
- 1:45:43different ways and it's just being open to receiving them.
- 1:45:45Absolutely. Working hard, not just like
- 1:45:48being like manifesting or just praying or just seeing it like
- 1:45:51all that stuff and being positive plus working hard and
- 1:45:55being open to maybe, maybe the universe will give us it
- 1:45:58packaged a little bit differently.
- 1:46:00And that's because that's what's for us and meant for us.
- 1:46:03And that's actually a much better version than what we
- 1:46:06envisioned. And you know what?
- 1:46:07Trusting the universe with that is such a vital step of it, too.
- 1:46:10Like, I know it's so easy to get lost in your head, have an
- 1:46:12identity crisis if you will. But honestly, the universe gives
- 1:46:15you exactly what you need and exactly what you've been
- 1:46:17manifesting, even if it might not feel like the way that
- 1:46:19you're expecting it. And you know what?
- 1:46:20I will pop to that. Bread is popping off camera.
- 1:46:26There's this scripture that says that God is able to do
- 1:46:31immeasurably more than we could ever ask or imagine.
- 1:46:33And I wrote that down before WWE.
- 1:46:36And I felt like that's exactly what happened with my husband
- 1:46:39and I like I could have. It was my dream to be able to
- 1:46:42work with my husband and then travel the world with him and
- 1:46:45have action figures and trading cards and all I would have.
- 1:46:48I didn't even have the courage to dream for something like that
- 1:46:51because that's so insane. It feels too big.
- 1:46:54It feels way too big. But nothing too big, nothing too
- 1:46:57crazy. The universe is endless.
- 1:46:59Absolutely. And I think that's everyone
- 1:47:00watching. That's what I encourage you is
- 1:47:02like dream big. Write down your 100 biggest
- 1:47:06dreams, like be audacious with your dreams, and then write down
- 1:47:1010 goals that you have about 50% chance to achieve over the next
- 1:47:14year. And then just send it off to the
- 1:47:17universe and be like God. I'm asking for the universe to
- 1:47:20do immeasurably more than I could ever ask or imagine, and
- 1:47:23it will happen. Period.
- 1:47:25And honestly, I feel like that's a viable plan too, for anyone
- 1:47:28who needs tools on how to manifest.
- 1:47:30It's actually reasonable. And I think it's a lot of, like,
- 1:47:32aligned action, yes, knowing that there are steps to take as
- 1:47:35well. Meet the universe in the middle.
- 1:47:37Yeah, I love that. That was so powerful.
- 1:47:39And honestly, CJ, congratulations on everything.
- 1:47:41Congratulations on identity crisis.
- 1:47:43Congratulations on becoming Money in the Bank champion.
- 1:47:46Congratulations on being a general manager and
- 1:47:50congratulations on I'm trying to raw dog and remember all of it.
- 1:47:53There are a lot of goals. Healthy, wonderful child.
- 1:47:56Congratulations on Ryan Junior, the biggest one.
- 1:47:59Of course you have it all. Congratulations.
