- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're gonna hop across the
- 0:07Pond and we're gonna check in on what's going on
- 0:10with the UK investigation into the Epstein files. And according
- 0:15to an anti corruption cop in the UK named Simon Hurst,
- 0:21who is the head of the Greater Manchester Police's Anti
- 0:24corruption unit, he says that they're coordinating a national review
- 0:28of documents relating to Jeffrey Epstein and his alleged crimes
- 0:33in the UK, and of course that includes Prince Andrew.
- 0:38And when Prince Andrew was first arrested, this was the
- 0:41biggest fear of Andrew's camp because once that door to
- 0:45criminality's opened, they're gonna walk through it. And when you're
- 0:49somebody like Prince Andrew with a lot to hide, it
- 0:52becomes a very very tenuous situation. And for Prince Andrew,
- 0:58he's never been in more jeopardy of being held accountable. Remember,
- 1:02his mom's not around to save him anymore, and I
- 1:04highly doubt his brother is going to step up. So
- 1:08Prince Andrew is exposed and it's the first time in
- 1:12his whole entire life that that's the case. So today
- 1:16we have an article from The Mirror and the headline
- 1:19anti corruption cop in UK Epstein files probe vows relentless
- 1:23pursuit of justice. This article was authored by Dan Warburton,
- 1:30a senior anti corruption cop reviewing the Epstein files, has
- 1:33vowed to be relentless in the pursuit for truth and justice.
- 1:37Now frame that next to the way our cops are
- 1:41talking here in America, Cash, Betel, Todd, Blanche, Pam BONDI,
- 1:45everybody involved, and the differences are stark. They're talking about
- 1:51a robust investigation here and going after people. In America,
- 1:55we're being told it's time to move on. Superintendent Simon Hurst,
- 2:02head of the Greater Manchester Police Anti corruption Unit, is
- 2:06overseeing a national review of documents which sparked a wave
- 2:09of criminal probes across the UK. Detective Hurst was assigned
- 2:15PIP four status for the review, giving him the power
- 2:18to focus on the strategic management of the highly complex,
- 2:22high profile or major crime investigations. So this is the
- 2:27key guy that's looking into this, Their top dog, I guess,
- 2:32and according to him, he's gonna leave no stone unturned. Now,
- 2:37of course I'm cynical, so I take everything with a
- 2:39grand assault and after all the bullshit and the betrayals,
- 2:43I'm gonna show me mode. You can say whatever you want,
- 2:46but start doing something. Let's see some tangible action on
- 2:49the ground. That would be nice. He's working across a
- 2:54new national specialist team set up to identify UK violence
- 2:58against women identified in the release files on the US
- 3:02child trafficker, but he's also focused on all other potential
- 3:06crimes which may emerge in the tranch of documents made
- 3:09public by the US Department of Justice last month. And
- 3:13that's always the jeopardy you're in when you have a
- 3:16criminal case brought against you, because the government can always
- 3:19supersede the indictment. They can add new charges. Oh we
- 3:22found more evidence, so we're charging them with X, Y
- 3:25and Z on top of the original charges. And once
- 3:29they open that door they walk through it, they're going
- 3:32to start looking at everything, your tax returns, who you
- 3:35gave money to, who you got money from, where you were,
- 3:38who you were with, all of it. And it's all
- 3:41fair game right now. Writing on LinkedIn, detective Hirst said
- 3:48it's an honor and privilege to be asked to help
- 3:50coordinate such important work. I promise that I and all
- 3:53those that work with me will be relentless in the
- 3:56pursuit of truth and justice. Well, that would be refreshing
- 4:01because very rarely has anyone been in the pursuit of
- 4:04truth or justice when it comes to Jeffrey Epstein, at
- 4:07least nobody in law enforcement, So that would be a
- 4:10nice change. Pedophile financier Epstein had links to the UK
- 4:16through the former Duke of York Andrew mount Batton Winsol
- 4:19sixty six and his ex wife Sarah Ferguson sixty six.
- 4:24He was also linked to labor grandee Peter Mandelson seventy
- 4:28two and is believed to have visited Buckingham Palace not
- 4:32believed to he definitely did, and also Sandringham and who
- 4:36the hell knows were else. How about when one of
- 4:39his assistants took a picture in the Queen's throne? No
- 4:43big deal, right, not disrespectful. Epstein died in prison in
- 4:48twenty nineteen, aged sixty six, after being found hanged in
- 4:52his cell while awaiting trial for child sex trafficking offenses.
- 4:56Around a dozen police forces in the UK have already
- 4:59confirmed that the looking into any potential crimes carried out
- 5:02on their patch linked to EPSTEIN. The national group, set
- 5:06up in February to support police forces with their investigations,
- 5:09confirmed last week it had created a separate strand to
- 5:13focus solely on violence against women and girls' allegations. This
- 5:18is what I was talking about, and it's only going
- 5:20to expand. Now are they going to be successful and
- 5:24bring anyone to justice? I have my doubts. Now, if
- 5:29we're talking about the other crimes passing on information, you know,
- 5:34process crimes, maybe I think there's a good possibility that
- 5:37people could end up getting some bracelets for that, but
- 5:40anything further, I'm just not confident that we'll see any
- 5:44kind of meaningful law enforcement action. They have already approached
- 5:53potential victims to share their accounts, including women who have
- 5:56previously spoken to BBC Newsnight and Good Morning Britain. The
- 6:01group is chaired by Assistant Chief Constable Clara Bell, deputy
- 6:05director at the National Center for Violence Against Women and
- 6:08Girls and Public Protection and CVPP. So I'm not too
- 6:14familiar with any of these bodies over in the UK,
- 6:17so I'm not gonna have too many comments as far
- 6:19as you know, personality wise, because I'm not familiar with
- 6:22the people who are running these groups. All I can
- 6:25say is that it's nice to see that at least
- 6:28there's something as far as the law enforcement effort to
- 6:32get to the bottom of what occurred. And I would
- 6:34really love to see that in America, but we're not
- 6:36gonna have it, not with Todd Blanche, certainly not with
- 6:39Pam Bondy. And unfortunately, the real gorilla in the room
- 6:44that's causing problems is Donald Trump. Everything's happening at his command.
- 6:49He doesn't want these files out, so all the s
- 6:52men that surround him, they're gonna do whatever Donald Trump wants.
- 6:55And make no mistake, the DOJ is nothing more than
- 6:58another arm for the President at this point, and that's
- 7:01not what the DOJ is supposed to be. It will
- 7:05prioritize identifying the scale, scope and nature of any potential
- 7:08UK based offending within the files, and establishing a nationally
- 7:13coordinated and consistent approach to gathering and assessing intelligence. Assistant
- 7:18Chief Constable Bell said last week. Policing operates locally, but
- 7:24must remain nationally coherent, which is why the coordination groups
- 7:28have been established to ensure that we're joining the dots
- 7:31as the public would expect. Look, I hope this is
- 7:34a tangible investigation and they're not just blown, smoke up
- 7:36or ass because we know that the authorities in the
- 7:39UK previously had zero desire to look into any of this.
- 7:45So are they just doing it now because people are
- 7:47demanding it or are they dedicated to really looking for
- 7:51the truth. And I hope it's that they're dedicated, but
- 7:54like usual, I have my doubts. Working with the NCAA
- 7:59National Crime TME agency, we're reviewing and assessing the published files.
- 8:03We have also reached out to survivors who have shared
- 8:06their experiences with the media to invite them to speak
- 8:09to UK authorities should they feel comfortable to do so.
- 8:14Police forces may receive direct contact from potential victims and
- 8:17survivors reporting matters that are not contained in the Epstein
- 8:21files released. Officers will listen with care to anyone who
- 8:25takes the courageous step of contacting us. And my guess
- 8:28is there's going to be a lot of people that
- 8:29reach out. Will some of them be crazy people, probably,
- 8:34but the vast majority of people that are contacting the
- 8:36authorities are people that have been wronged by Jeffrey Epstein
- 8:40and his associates. So I'm sure they're going to have
- 8:43their work cut out for them. Over in the UK.
- 8:46She said that the police would be meticulous in its
- 8:49assessment of the files, which includes more than three million
- 8:52documents in pictures released in tranches by the US. She
- 8:56said the volume of material is significant and the detail
- 9:00assessment of the files will take time, which I fully
- 9:02appreciate can be both frustrating and traumatic for anyone impacted,
- 9:07but it's crucial that we get this right, taking a
- 9:10methodical and coordinated approach to safeguard the integrity of any
- 9:14potential investigation. Our priority throughout will remain the safety, well
- 9:19being and confidence of victims, and that, of course is
- 9:23the right way to go about it. You have to
- 9:25center the survivors, right, They're the ones who suffered, They're
- 9:28the ones who went through it. They're the ones that
- 9:30need justice. Now, the rest of us have been wronged
- 9:33as well, but it pels in comparison to what these
- 9:36girls went through. So that's why it's important to make
- 9:39sure that these survivors are centered and that justice comes
- 9:42to those who hurt them. The VOGUE Coordination Group will
- 9:48be working alongside the NCAA and the Tackling Organized Exploitation
- 9:53Program to X and draw upon the expertise of colleagues
- 9:57from HYDRANT, the CSE, Child Sexual Exploitation Task Force, and
- 10:01Operation Beaconport. Assistant Chief Conspell added, no single crime takes
- 10:07priority over another, and the establishment of this second group
- 10:11and investment in additional intelligence resources reflects the increasing complexity
- 10:16and sensitivity of these matters. Running in tandem, the group
- 10:20will enable us to consider any in all potential offending
- 10:25and reaffirm our commitment to victims and survivors of abuse.
- 10:30We remain focused on protecting people and maintaining public confidence. Well,
- 10:34good luck with that. I don't think anybody's confident in
- 10:39any of these institutions, whether it's the UK or America.
- 10:43And that's because these institutions, well, they failed us time
- 10:47and time again. US lawmakers have repeatedly called for mister
- 10:52Mountbatten Windsor to answer questions about his links to Epstein.
- 10:56He's denied any wrongdoing over his Epstein links. Is also
- 11:01mounting on Miss Ferguson to testify in the US over
- 11:04her apparent friendship with Epstein, although there has been no
- 11:07formal request for her to do so. I think it's performative,
- 11:12and I don't think that Fergie's gonna offer anything up
- 11:15if we bring her in front of Congress. I'd much
- 11:18rather hear from Leslie Groff or Adriana Ross or Sarah
- 11:22Kell and Vickers. Files released by the Department of Justice
- 11:27in January revealed she remained in contact with the disgraced financier,
- 11:32including just seventeen days before his release from a Florida
- 11:35jail for soliciting sex with miners. What they mean by
- 11:39that is abusing kids. No such thing as a child
- 11:43prostitute can't solicit miners. That makes you a child molester.
- 11:47Thanks for coming to my TED talk. Last month, both
- 11:51mister Mandelsson and mister mount batt and Windsor were separately
- 11:54arrested by policing connection with the passing of information to Epstein.
- 11:59They were both released under investigation, and of course that
- 12:03investigation is ongoing, and like usual, we're going to follow
- 12:07along with it wherever it goes and when it comes
- 12:09to Jeffrey Epstein's crimes in the UK and Yourope, this
- 12:13story is still unfolding, and like usual, we're going to
- 12:17be here for all of it, every step of the way.
- 12:20Every story that drops will have it added to the catalog.
- 12:23And to all of you who have been rolling with
- 12:25me for all these years, and to those of you
- 12:28who have just shown up, I appreciate each and every
- 12:31one of you. You folks are the real ones, the
- 12:36people who haven't been distracted, the people who continue to
- 12:40demand justice, and the people who refuse to move on,
- 12:43because it's you folks who keep the pressure on. And
- 12:46if and when we ever get to a point where
- 12:48we have real justice, it's going to be because of
- 12:50you that we got there. So I just wanted to
- 12:53thank all of you for your contributions and for not
- 12:56letting the story die, because, believe me, that's the goal.
- 12:59But there's one thing that they didn't account for this time,
- 13:03and that's you, And when all is said and done,
- 13:06that might be their biggest mistake. All the information that
- 13:11goes with this episode can be found in the description box.
