- 0:15Speaker 2: Kent with Randall.
- 0:18Speaker 3: And we are back at it again in our kitchen quarantine.
- 0:25Speaker 3: So we had a pretty here's the thing about.
- 0:29Speaker 1: This, it is forcing us to get creative.
- 0:33Speaker 3: Randall and I went and rented a forty two foot
- 0:39Speaker 3: RV double pop out r V.
- 0:43Speaker 1: When we first took it out, we went to Joshua Tree.
- 0:47Speaker 2: But we were on our way to Arizona, or on
- 0:49Speaker 2: our way.
- 0:50Speaker 1: To Arizona, and we got into Joshua Tree. We're in
- 0:55Speaker 1: the RV.
- 0:55Speaker 3: We're like messing around whatever. The pop out suddenly won't
- 0:59Speaker 3: work for the master bedroom.
- 1:00Speaker 1: We look at each other. We probably got there at.
- 1:02Speaker 2: What five thirty dinner time.
- 1:06Speaker 3: We were hauling ass back to La by seven thirty.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Yeah, we were back in La.
- 1:10Speaker 1: We looked at each other.
- 1:11Speaker 3: We were like, well, let's at least like make the
- 1:13Speaker 3: hot dogs we brought. So we made our hot dogs,
- 1:15Speaker 3: We made dinner. We made dinner.
- 1:17Speaker 1: It was nice, it was fun.
- 1:18Speaker 4: But we looked at each other and we're like, we're
- 1:20Speaker 4: in a dusty RV park. All the national parks are closed.
- 1:24Speaker 2: There's diagna.
- 1:25Speaker 3: We went to a co or Koa Koa.
- 1:28Speaker 2: It was night.
- 1:29Speaker 4: People were nice, there, We've had some interesting beating were nice.
- 1:31Speaker 4: But but the thing about it was we.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Didn't it didn't feel like an adventure.
- 1:36Speaker 4: It felt like we were like in Palm Springs almost,
- 1:39Speaker 4: but on a dusty road.
- 1:40Speaker 2: So we didn't like that.
- 1:42Speaker 1: We no, we didn't like that.
- 1:43Speaker 3: So we drive, We drive back to La. We sleep
- 1:46Speaker 3: in our bed. The next morning, we wake up, we
- 1:49Speaker 3: drive back to get We switched out the RB, we
- 1:52Speaker 3: switch out the RV to a bigger, more badass.
- 1:55Speaker 4: One, and we were really really inspired when we got
- 1:58Speaker 4: in that baby.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Right.
- 2:00Speaker 1: I looked at it. I was like, Okay, we're ready.
- 2:02Speaker 1: This is legit.
- 2:03Speaker 3: And instead of going really really far, we were like,
- 2:07Speaker 3: let's break ourselves in.
- 2:08Speaker 1: So we hauled asked to Malibu, hold on, hold on.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Let me back it up. You're making it look like
- 2:14Speaker 2: we're just hobnobbing around La.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Let me we are hob noomin around to eight.
- 2:17Speaker 4: I know, but babe, we were gonna go to Piswell
- 2:19Speaker 4: Beach was like a two and a half hour drive
- 2:21Speaker 4: and they didn't have like an ocean view for us,
- 2:24Speaker 4: and and we said, and what we said was is
- 2:27Speaker 4: if we're going to do this, like we at least
- 2:29Speaker 4: want to look at the ocean, says, we can't swim
- 2:31Speaker 4: in them because they're all closed. We can't be in
- 2:33Speaker 4: a national park, they're all closed. And so we found
- 2:37Speaker 4: we found a Malibu RV park.
- 2:40Speaker 2: And honestly, Babe, don't you agree it was like a
- 2:44Speaker 2: gem in the rough. It was spectacular, Dude.
- 2:47Speaker 3: We had beach front. I mean, we parked that bitch,
- 2:50Speaker 3: and we were.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Like totally we thought we were like.
- 2:53Speaker 3: I felt like I was like Beyonce, like I was
- 2:57Speaker 3: touring and I found like an epic spot to just
- 2:59Speaker 3: park my whip.
- 3:01Speaker 4: That's a nice way to put it. I think that
- 3:03Speaker 4: we had like a thirty million dollar view.
- 3:05Speaker 1: I swear we did have a thirty million dollar view.
- 3:07Speaker 4: You and I remember, and we invited your mom and
- 3:10Speaker 4: her friend and they came out. We cooked spaghetti, spaghetti,
- 3:13Speaker 4: We had pasta.
- 3:14Speaker 2: We had some vegetables.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I had some vegetables.
- 3:17Speaker 2: You have vegetables.
- 3:18Speaker 1: I watch you did not partake.
- 3:19Speaker 2: I know, but I told you TOMORROW'M gonna start working
- 3:21Speaker 2: out with.
- 3:21Speaker 1: You, okay, okay, and ingesting vegetables.
- 3:25Speaker 4: And I'll eat vegetables next week. You can ask how
- 3:28Speaker 4: much vegetables. Remember on trying to change a little bit.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Okay, Oka, wait, but on, let's go back from seconds.
- 3:32Speaker 2: So we did that.
- 3:33Speaker 4: But can I tell you what my favorite part of
- 3:35Speaker 4: this whole thing was. Tell me after they left, it
- 3:37Speaker 4: was nighttime. We closed up our little whip, we turned
- 3:40Speaker 4: out the lights. We had DVDs because there's no cable,
- 3:43Speaker 4: so we put Blacklist in and you and.
- 3:45Speaker 1: I that show is so good.
- 3:47Speaker 4: I know it's not only so good, but then you
- 3:48Speaker 4: and I we had cuddle time. Yeah, I'm gonna admit this,
- 3:52Speaker 4: and we could hear the waves crashing all night. It
- 3:55Speaker 4: was a perfect night.
- 3:56Speaker 2: It was. And then we woke up and they made
- 4:00Speaker 2: us move.
- 4:01Speaker 1: So that was a whole production and even better, I
- 4:05Speaker 1: feel like they.
- 4:05Speaker 4: Moved us from North Malibu to like like the where
- 4:08Speaker 4: all the rich people are in Malibus.
- 4:10Speaker 2: I feel like we got upgraded. We got an upgrade.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I felt like I was Jamie Kennedy in as wanted.
- 4:17Speaker 2: That's a good one. Okay, So then we got moved.
- 4:19Speaker 4: Then you said the fish looked like they were dying
- 4:22Speaker 4: at home, so you and your mom went to go
- 4:23Speaker 4: get algaees.
- 4:24Speaker 1: So before I went and did that, So what do
- 4:26Speaker 1: we do?
- 4:27Speaker 3: You guys, these these people that have these fucking RV's.
- 4:32Speaker 1: It's like a it's like a culture.
- 4:34Speaker 4: Oh, it's a whole different world. I mean, by the way,
- 4:37Speaker 4: what about the ones who bring listen baby? I found
- 4:39Speaker 4: something out. So Laala thought that the RV people next
- 4:43Speaker 4: to us, she thought they lived there permanently. But I
- 4:46Speaker 4: did research there. They're not permanent. Those people they bring
- 4:49Speaker 4: their own grass, their own fences, their own pottery, and
- 4:53Speaker 4: they create a little yard next to their RVs.
- 4:56Speaker 2: These are professional art you guys.
- 4:59Speaker 3: This one r had like this little white picket fence
- 5:02Speaker 3: and these like beautiful flower pots.
- 5:04Speaker 2: And the fire grass, the fake fire.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Pit, fake fire pit, and then it or not a
- 5:09Speaker 3: fake fire pit, a fake like they had a fake
- 5:11Speaker 3: fire like it looked like real flames. And then they
- 5:13Speaker 3: had a fire pit where they would like sit around
- 5:15Speaker 3: at night. And then they had a sign that said
- 5:18Speaker 3: the beach is my happy place, like what they would
- 5:20Speaker 3: put like what someone would put out side of their
- 5:23Speaker 3: beach house.
- 5:23Speaker 4: It's really, honestly, I want to say saying, we're not
- 5:26Speaker 4: even making fun of anybody.
- 5:28Speaker 2: It really is a different world that we've never seen before.
- 5:31Speaker 1: No, but you should see these people.
- 5:32Speaker 3: They like are they've got like their jeep parked perfectly,
- 5:35Speaker 3: They're like whipping in.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Their freaking I want to tell you story.
- 5:38Speaker 1: It's the craziest thing.
- 5:39Speaker 4: Right when you left, RV pulled it next to me
- 5:43Speaker 4: within fifteen minutes, I'm being serious, all hooked up, but
- 5:46Speaker 4: not only just all hooked up bikes, games, dark boards.
- 5:50Speaker 2: I mean it was like professional O. These people really
- 5:53Speaker 2: know how to do it.
- 5:53Speaker 4: And I think if you really are v around the country,
- 5:56Speaker 4: you must get really good at knowing what to bring.
- 5:59Speaker 2: But we didn't know. Let's tell everybody, because you're looking
- 6:01Speaker 2: at me like, I'm like, oh, you should have screwed up.
- 6:04Speaker 2: We were.
- 6:04Speaker 3: It was National lampoons. We we were hot mess. We
- 6:09Speaker 3: like looked in the cupboard. We didn't get anything that
- 6:12Speaker 3: was like okay to eat, Like, we didn't secure anything.
- 6:18Speaker 4: How many how many days do you think it would
- 6:20Speaker 4: have been before we died of starvation and water with a.
- 6:23Speaker 3: Lot of I only allowed us to get to Malibu.
- 6:26Speaker 3: I was like, we can't trust.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Us, not really.
- 6:29Speaker 3: We need a little bit more practice, or we need
- 6:31Speaker 3: at least one person who knows what the hell they're doing.
- 6:34Speaker 4: I think we need to hire an RV packer shopper,
- 6:38Speaker 4: right y. Yeah, stock us up and they say, you
- 6:41Speaker 4: guys are good for seven days go journey, but but you.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Have to man, I did get good at hooking.
- 6:46Speaker 3: The electrical up, the water everything else. It's like, I
- 6:51Speaker 3: don't cook in a kitchen that's fully stocked to my house,
- 6:55Speaker 3: so like, how am I supposed.
- 6:56Speaker 1: To do it in an RV.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Yeah, we need some assistance with the shopping for Yeah,
- 7:00Speaker 2: but we had fun.
- 7:02Speaker 1: I had the best time ever I did.
- 7:03Speaker 2: I really like.
- 7:04Speaker 4: I think we took it for granted a little bit
- 7:05Speaker 4: because it was so just perfect and we were like,
- 7:08Speaker 4: I think we're a little overwhelmed.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Today it was Today was a well when you.
- 7:11Speaker 3: Wake up and there's no coffee or breakfast, it's kind
- 7:14Speaker 3: of a buzzkill. You're like looking at the ocean and
- 7:16Speaker 3: you're like, damn, I would really love some pancakes coffee.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Go back there and have another sleep, but we'll bring coffee, just.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Like something to wake up and like I.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Like or like cook eggs in the morning.
- 7:27Speaker 3: You know what's crazy, though, is I used to do
- 7:29Speaker 3: that stuff as a little kid, but instead of an RV,
- 7:31Speaker 3: we would like my dad and my mom had a
- 7:34Speaker 3: houseboat and it was like the exact same type of thing.
- 7:38Speaker 3: But professionals, dude, I remember that you had to do.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Oh my god, we had the car, we had the speedboat.
- 7:45Speaker 3: It was packed with all our food. The second we
- 7:47Speaker 3: got there, whipped the boat down on fashion.
- 7:50Speaker 4: Right now, she's like moving and waving our hands around
- 7:52Speaker 4: like a professional.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Really, they really had it done.
- 7:55Speaker 3: Oh, they knew exactly, And we had the three families
- 7:57Speaker 3: that would come with us, and everyone was just on.
- 8:00Speaker 2: But in the time that your dad, your dad was
- 8:02Speaker 2: very specific.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Well he was like me, yeah, like very oh yeah, yeah, so.
- 8:07Speaker 2: He knew like the one was going on a trip
- 8:09Speaker 2: with your dad.
- 8:09Speaker 3: With we had I mean, people brought the games, and
- 8:12Speaker 3: we had an ice cream maker that one of the
- 8:14Speaker 3: families would pack, and like we had all this stuff
- 8:16Speaker 3: like tonight we're having tacos and this and that.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Like oh, they planned out for each everything.
- 8:20Speaker 3: Each family would have a day like today, I'm doing breakfast, lunch,
- 8:25Speaker 3: and dinner.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Tomorrow you're doing breakfast, or they'd flip flop. They just
- 8:28Speaker 1: knew exactly what they were.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Doing and I want to do next. So the next
- 8:31Speaker 2: time we go on the camper, why don't you cry.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Randall, I'm a little angry with you because you made
- 8:35Speaker 3: me kind of bougie.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Fuck, so there's no coming back from this.
- 8:40Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 8:40Speaker 3: My mom looks at me and she's like, why are
- 8:42Speaker 3: you acting like you have no idea like how to
- 8:44Speaker 3: make a bed.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Or do laundry, And I'm like, I had to do
- 8:48Speaker 1: it in a while.
- 8:48Speaker 2: I tell you something.
- 8:49Speaker 4: I bust your balls a lot about not being as domesticated,
- 8:54Speaker 4: But can I tell you something.
- 8:56Speaker 2: I love you the way you are.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Well, I know how to be domesticated the way you will.
- 9:01Speaker 3: But when you have Isabelle up in this house and
- 9:04Speaker 3: she's making like five star meals all the time, and.
- 9:06Speaker 1: She's like, no, la la, sit down, I'll make your bed.
- 9:09Speaker 1: I'll do this, it's like, oh, that's kind of nice.
- 9:11Speaker 1: They get a little comfortable, you know.
- 9:14Speaker 3: And then when you expect me to go on in
- 9:15Speaker 3: our V trip, I'm like, what what's happening?
- 9:18Speaker 2: So why don't we just bring Isabelle the next time
- 9:21Speaker 2: we go on our V trip?
- 9:22Speaker 1: Can I tell you so Isabelle.
- 9:24Speaker 3: Isabelle is our house manager from Guatemala, And I'll tell
- 9:27Speaker 3: you one thing about this woman. She calls me the
- 9:29Speaker 3: queen of the house, and I tell her, girl, you
- 9:31Speaker 3: are the queen of this house. Isabelle is my ride
- 9:35Speaker 3: or die. The other day she got her final paper
- 9:37Speaker 3: where it's uh to her last interview before she becomes
- 9:43Speaker 3: a US citizen, and she and I sat in the
- 9:46Speaker 3: kitchen and cried, and I was like, you deserve to
- 9:49Speaker 3: be in this country just as much as I do.
- 9:52Speaker 3: Without you in this house, like this house.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Would not function nice.
- 9:56Speaker 3: I said it to her and our housekeeper, Yoanna, which
- 9:59Speaker 3: Joanna does not speak any English, but she's so sweet,
- 10:02Speaker 3: and so Isabelle was translating, and they then we all
- 10:06Speaker 3: started crying. I was like, that's so grateful for you guys.
- 10:10Speaker 1: I just slep my mind. It was just such a
- 10:12Speaker 1: beautiful moment.
- 10:13Speaker 2: You didn't tell me any of this, No.
- 10:15Speaker 3: Dude, those are the queens of this castle, that's for sure.
- 10:18Speaker 3: They make this household run flawlessly so that I don't
- 10:22Speaker 3: lose my mind, and the fact that they even give
- 10:24Speaker 3: a shit, like those are my girls right there.
- 10:26Speaker 4: And I want to tell you that every morning, I
- 10:28Speaker 4: know what I call when I can't get a Lalla
- 10:31Speaker 4: on the phone at like ten forty five because I'm
- 10:33Speaker 4: at the office. I need to talk to her I
- 10:34Speaker 4: call Isabella's but like, mister, she's sleeping, And I said,
- 10:38Speaker 4: but I'm bringing coffee up to right now. I'm like, okay,
- 10:39Speaker 4: don't don't wake her up, give her the coffee, then
- 10:42Speaker 4: call me. It's like, okay, I know, trust me, I.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Know what to do. Yeah, yeah, we've got a system going.
- 10:46Speaker 1: That's my girl right there.
- 10:48Speaker 2: I think I think you've got to show me how
- 10:49Speaker 2: to cook cook. You kind to show me.
- 10:51Speaker 1: I don't even know what you need to teach me
- 10:53Speaker 1: how to cook some coffee for you while why well,
- 10:56Speaker 1: I was trying to make coffee. I would love that you.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Like me to make you coffee in the month, totally fine.
- 11:00Speaker 2: Will you show me tonight?
- 11:01Speaker 1: Yeah, it's so easy.
- 11:03Speaker 2: People are gonna be busted.
- 11:04Speaker 1: We only have a cure egg. So it's like pop.
- 11:06Speaker 3: See you pop the pot in, it comes out, you
- 11:09Speaker 3: put a little creamer.
- 11:09Speaker 1: I'm good to go. You don't even have to do
- 11:11Speaker 1: anything because.
- 11:12Speaker 2: I think that the last two weeks of no quarantine.
- 11:14Speaker 4: I'm not going to blame everything on this, but I
- 11:16Speaker 4: feel like, you know, coffee in the morning not good.
- 11:20Speaker 1: It's not a good sit.
- 11:21Speaker 2: I can never be in that.
- 11:22Speaker 4: RV with you without coffee because you're a huge coffee person.
- 11:26Speaker 1: I'm a huge coffee person.
- 11:27Speaker 2: It's a caffeine so oh.
- 11:28Speaker 1: No, that that gets my day going.
- 11:30Speaker 3: It gets my m moving so that I can move
- 11:34Speaker 3: forward in life with a free gut.
- 11:36Speaker 5: You know.
- 11:36Speaker 1: It's like this just gets everything popping in the morning.
- 11:39Speaker 2: I love this. I love this.
- 11:41Speaker 4: All right, Well, let's just pivot here and talk about
- 11:45Speaker 4: our next guest.
- 11:46Speaker 1: I love all these things that you're saying. You're like,
- 11:48Speaker 1: let's switch gears, let's pivot.
- 11:49Speaker 3: You are Andy Cohen. It's the craziest thing as we start.
- 11:54Speaker 3: It's a huge cof I mean.
- 11:55Speaker 2: By the way, Andy Cohen is a badass, and I
- 11:58Speaker 2: give him so much respect for you.
- 11:59Speaker 3: Can I tell you only without you being mad? Randall
- 12:02Speaker 3: gets jealous sometimes, but Andy Cohen is like so sexy.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Okay, that one I'm gonna let go because.
- 12:09Speaker 1: I know because he's no threat to you.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Okay, but well, tell wait, tell me what I said
- 12:14Speaker 2: the other day?
- 12:15Speaker 1: What'd you say where you went to Palm Springs? Wait?
- 12:19Speaker 2: What did you call me from?
- 12:20Speaker 1: Oh my god, this was so funny, you guys, So
- 12:22Speaker 1: I go to Palm Springs.
- 12:23Speaker 4: First of all, I want to say something My girl
- 12:25Speaker 4: gets jealous too, just in her own way but not
- 12:28Speaker 4: but different. And we have a very trust Uh this
- 12:31Speaker 4: is just it's just a trust relationship. But sometimes as
- 12:34Speaker 4: a guy, my girl thinks that like everything, she just
- 12:39Speaker 4: doesn't think sometimes like women don't think the way guys do.
- 12:42Speaker 2: So go ahead, tell me what you did.
- 12:45Speaker 3: My writer die and myself Madison, she's my lady of
- 12:48Speaker 3: honor at my wedding. Okay, So we decide to go
- 12:51Speaker 3: to Palm Springs now like shit is getting real with
- 12:54Speaker 3: the COVID and we you know, she was planning on
- 12:59Speaker 3: going there for her birthday anyway, but she was meeting
- 13:03Speaker 3: some of her guy friends that she knows from New York.
- 13:06Speaker 1: They were all flying in and they had a house.
- 13:08Speaker 3: Well, Randall and I usually stay at Lakina Resort, and
- 13:14Speaker 3: so I got us a room. Madison and I a
- 13:17Speaker 3: room there until thank you, Randall's pouring me diet coke
- 13:20Speaker 3: and a wine glass.
- 13:21Speaker 1: This is epic.
- 13:22Speaker 2: I was really putting in time right now.
- 13:23Speaker 1: This is my liddy lit time.
- 13:25Speaker 3: Anyway, So Madison and I are going to stay at
- 13:27Speaker 3: Lakinta resort until her friends get there.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Right, So me think you.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Right, Me thinking economically, to save to save money. I
- 13:37Speaker 3: was like, rand Madison's friends have a house, Like to
- 13:41Speaker 3: save you money, all stay at their house for four
- 13:44Speaker 3: days until you get here, and then we'll check back
- 13:46Speaker 3: into Lakina. Randall wanted to know who these guys are,
- 13:50Speaker 3: what do they do for a living, How did you
- 13:51Speaker 3: meet them?
- 13:52Speaker 1: How old are they?
- 13:52Speaker 2: Okay, the conversation and so.
- 13:55Speaker 3: No, we had a really great conversation. It was very productive.
- 13:58Speaker 3: I was like, Babe, I mean, did you to tell
- 14:00Speaker 3: me why why you're asking all these questions for me?
- 14:02Speaker 1: It's like four years in.
- 14:03Speaker 3: He put a ring on it, like that's what it is,
- 14:06Speaker 3: and he goes, Babe, I'm just feeling really insecure.
- 14:09Speaker 2: And I was like, oh, I was it Puerto Rico.
- 14:11Speaker 3: Yes, but I love that you said that because then
- 14:13Speaker 3: I knew what to do with that. I was like, Okay,
- 14:15Speaker 3: I won't stay there, yeh, I'll keep the hotel room.
- 14:18Speaker 3: I just want to save you money, says he goes,
- 14:22Speaker 3: I will fucking buy that hotel before I let you
- 14:25Speaker 3: go stay at that fucking guy's house.
- 14:28Speaker 2: And then Madison was in the card. She goes, I
- 14:31Speaker 2: like it very honest. I respect that. Okay, we're staying
- 14:34Speaker 2: at the hotel.
- 14:34Speaker 1: So we stayed at the hotel for two weeks.
- 14:36Speaker 3: Yeah almost Yeah, ten days, two weeks racked up a
- 14:38Speaker 3: hefty bill, but it.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Was significantly less than buying the hotel.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Yeah, you did save me money buying. That's all.
- 14:44Speaker 4: By the way, that was a great trip, except when
- 14:47Speaker 4: I got to the hotel, I got a little under
- 14:49Speaker 4: the weather.
- 14:50Speaker 2: Your mom and I both got sick.
- 14:52Speaker 3: What we thought COVID nineteen we did.
- 14:56Speaker 1: You didn't get it, No, I didn't get it.
- 14:58Speaker 3: But during that time, y'all, I thought you did have it.
- 15:01Speaker 3: So we were all staying hunkered down under one roof. Yes, quarantine,
- 15:05Speaker 3: but let's.
- 15:06Speaker 4: Talk about just real quick. Not to elaborate, but I
- 15:08Speaker 4: mean along, but I got there. Your mom got a
- 15:11Speaker 4: sore throat. I got a sore throat Friday.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Yeah, woke up.
- 15:13Speaker 4: Saturday, had a horrible sore throat and just felt very tired, right,
- 15:16Speaker 4: and so out of safety for everybody, I drove to
- 15:20Speaker 4: La I got a test.
- 15:22Speaker 2: I went to our house.
- 15:23Speaker 4: I hunkered into the bedroom and I stayed there until
- 15:27Speaker 4: the test came back, which came back negative, you know,
- 15:30Speaker 4: thank god. But yeah, we were all concerned because I
- 15:33Speaker 4: mean to get sick right now, and how it is
- 15:35Speaker 4: scary have those symptoms, you know.
- 15:37Speaker 3: But on the bright side, besides you not having it,
- 15:42Speaker 3: the bright side of this, you guys, is me having
- 15:46Speaker 3: to just sit around and hang out with the people
- 15:48Speaker 3: that I love the most, you know, minus my little brother.
- 15:51Speaker 3: I wish he was here, but I'm like living the dream.
- 15:54Speaker 2: I want to just pivot here to get ready for
- 15:57Speaker 2: our guests.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Should we tell them? Who are you? Let's tell him?
- 16:00Speaker 1: Who are our guested?
- 16:01Speaker 2: Don't you tell them? Because it's a friend of both
- 16:03Speaker 2: of ours and we love her.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Yes, So we have the stunning and talented Maria Manunos
- 16:10Speaker 3: joining us today via phone obvi because we're quarantine to
- 16:14Speaker 3: af We're so excited we cannot wait to bring her on.
- 16:17Speaker 3: So let us dial her up. We're going to take
- 16:19Speaker 3: a short break. We'll be right back.
- 16:26Speaker 1: And we are.
- 16:27Speaker 3: Back, and we have one of my most favorite human
- 16:30Speaker 3: beings ever on the line with.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Us, Maria Manunas. Both damn welcome, Maria.
- 16:38Speaker 5: Hi have me and keV here.
- 16:42Speaker 3: We got the couple, my favorite couple, the couple that
- 16:45Speaker 3: works together stays together.
- 16:47Speaker 5: That's right, I know, no changes here. We're stuck together.
- 16:51Speaker 5: All day, every day anyway.
- 16:52Speaker 3: I know, that's exactly what I was telling rand I
- 16:54Speaker 3: was like, for me, nothing has changed as far as
- 16:57Speaker 3: like just being around you twenty four to seven.
- 17:01Speaker 4: I gotta say, you know, first of all, it's like
- 17:03Speaker 4: come full circle because what I love is I have
- 17:06Speaker 4: You know, when I was first interviewed on any podcast,
- 17:08Speaker 4: on any show ever, it was yours, Marie, I was petrified.
- 17:11Speaker 4: You and Kevin made me feel calm, and you're like,
- 17:14Speaker 4: you guys, you're such a natural.
- 17:16Speaker 2: You have fun. It was good. It was great.
- 17:19Speaker 4: And then Lala and I came together and we're like,
- 17:21Speaker 4: we should try this, and here we are and now
- 17:23Speaker 4: we got.
- 17:24Speaker 3: You guys, it's been our saving grace during this time,
- 17:27Speaker 3: isn't it cool?
- 17:28Speaker 5: I feel like my podcast has been my saving grace,
- 17:30Speaker 5: my sanity hour through this whole thing, because you can't
- 17:34Speaker 5: check your phone, you can't listen to the news, you
- 17:36Speaker 5: can't get enveloped by all of the negativity, and so yeah,
- 17:40Speaker 5: it's a really nice thing to have.
- 17:42Speaker 3: It is, And so tell us we want to hear,
- 17:46Speaker 3: we want to hear about it all. How are you
- 17:47Speaker 3: guys dealing with being stuck indoors, not being able to
- 17:51Speaker 3: you know, socialize, which your business is based on bringing
- 17:55Speaker 3: in people to be on your podcast.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Like, how are you guys dealing with all this?
- 18:01Speaker 5: We're dealing with it pretty well.
- 18:02Speaker 4: You know.
- 18:04Speaker 5: I was very ahead on this because I'm a nerd
- 18:07Speaker 5: and I was watching what was going. I was watching
- 18:11Speaker 5: what was coming, and I kept saying, guys, this is
- 18:13Speaker 5: going to be bad, this is going to be bad,
- 18:15Speaker 5: and everybody would laugh at me, and especially my dad.
- 18:20Speaker 5: And I remember being at our Friday meeting at after Buzz,
- 18:25Speaker 5: and I remember saying to everybody and our staff, I said,
- 18:28Speaker 5: we need to let everyone know that we are taking
- 18:32Speaker 5: every measure possible. We're doing multiple cleanings a day. I
- 18:37Speaker 5: want our hosts who are coming in to feel safe.
- 18:40Speaker 5: And this was four days before any company was thinking
- 18:44Speaker 5: like that. I go, I can't believe these major restaurant chains,
- 18:47Speaker 5: no one's putting precautionary measures into let us feel safe,
- 18:50Speaker 5: because I stopped patronizing places well before the lockdown.
- 18:54Speaker 2: Oh wow.
- 18:55Speaker 5: And so I remember one of my staff members saying,
- 18:58Speaker 5: nothing's going to happen. It's fine. I go, guys, we
- 19:01Speaker 5: are cleaning every hour on the hour, every door knob,
- 19:04Speaker 5: every surface, everything.
- 19:05Speaker 2: What month was this? Were you doing this in February?
- 19:08Speaker 5: This was gosh, probably four weeks ago.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Oh wow.
- 19:14Speaker 5: And I was really ahead of it. I had been
- 19:17Speaker 5: having my housekeeper shopping ahead way before anybody even thought
- 19:21Speaker 5: about it.
- 19:22Speaker 3: You're one of the toilet paper hoarders, are your.
- 19:26Speaker 5: Ridden hoard But I though, I just saw what was coming.
- 19:32Speaker 5: And I have a really good instinct, and I'm very
- 19:36Speaker 5: I've definitely got some you know, abilities to see ahead.
- 19:40Speaker 5: And I said, I feel this, and I feel like
- 19:44Speaker 5: it's going to get bad and we need to prepare.
- 19:45Speaker 5: So I started preparing, making sure we had enough supplies
- 19:49Speaker 5: in the house to survive. We have to take care
- 19:51Speaker 5: of my mom, who was stage hor brain cancer. My
- 19:53Speaker 5: dad is chef one diabetic. Oh, we have an entire
- 19:56Speaker 5: staff that lives on another property of ours, and I
- 20:00Speaker 5: wanted to make sure that we were all safe. I
- 20:02Speaker 5: made sure we got medications for two months on. Everybody. Wow,
- 20:06Speaker 5: And everyone again was still laughing at me.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Maria, Can I tell you wait? Can I tell you something?
- 20:10Speaker 4: First of all, this is the greatest thing I've ever heard,
- 20:12Speaker 4: because we should have been doing this shit, because you know,
- 20:15Speaker 4: we're scrambling and taking a step further, I'm the opposite
- 20:18Speaker 4: of you. I mean, Laala will tell you. I was
- 20:20Speaker 4: in Puerto Rico directing my first movie.
- 20:22Speaker 5: I know, I was horrified, and I was horrified.
- 20:25Speaker 4: Wait wait, and here's the crazy thing. The beaches are open,
- 20:28Speaker 4: people are drinking Pina claudas. I'm living in complete denial,
- 20:31Speaker 4: and I'm calling Laala going no.
- 20:32Speaker 3: He keeps asking me like, La La, why are you
- 20:35Speaker 3: freaking out? Why are you so high strung.
- 20:37Speaker 1: I'm like, you have no idea, what's going on now?
- 20:41Speaker 2: And that was on the March thirteenth.
- 20:43Speaker 4: I was saying that because we were still filming and
- 20:46Speaker 4: nothing was going and she's like, Babe, you're living in denial.
- 20:49Speaker 2: I go, you're all crazy. And then all of a.
- 20:51Speaker 3: Sudden, literally two days later, he's like, babe, they're shutting
- 20:54Speaker 3: down the hotel. I have to come back from Puerto
- 20:56Speaker 3: Rico tonight.
- 20:57Speaker 4: It was it was no, And here's the crazy thing.
- 21:00Speaker 4: Me and my cast, you guys, my cast call me Andy.
- 21:03Speaker 4: They you know, we were all in that spirit of like,
- 21:05Speaker 4: we want to finish the movie. And it was like
- 21:07Speaker 4: once they shut down the city and we went into
- 21:09Speaker 4: that quarantine thing, which none of us had experienced. We
- 21:12Speaker 4: started to freak out, and we got on the plane
- 21:14Speaker 4: flew back and it was like we didn't know what
- 21:15Speaker 4: to expect. We get to LA and I'm like, oh
- 21:18Speaker 4: my god, like this has been going on for weeks
- 21:20Speaker 4: before we've even seen it, So we were behind the
- 21:23Speaker 4: eight ball.
- 21:24Speaker 3: So now so I respect people like you now, Maria,
- 21:28Speaker 3: like I should have been doing, say, Randall, you being
- 21:30Speaker 3: a good director.
- 21:31Speaker 2: You were so immersed, yes.
- 21:33Speaker 5: That I understand why you didn't understand what was happening.
- 21:38Speaker 5: And I had to tell friends who weren't watching the news.
- 21:40Speaker 5: I said, guys, get ready, and people had no idea.
- 21:45Speaker 5: So I was definitely I was two weeks ahead almost
- 21:48Speaker 5: of everybody.
- 21:49Speaker 6: You're Randolin to defend you and your case, like you know,
- 21:52Speaker 6: as a filmmaker, you don't get those shots. Guess what,
- 21:55Speaker 6: chances are very good you're never getting those shots.
- 21:58Speaker 4: Correct, Kevins I think, and I think, Kevin, I think
- 22:01Speaker 4: you get it, like you know you're you and me
- 22:03Speaker 4: and all of this on this are are come from
- 22:06Speaker 4: a business where we know how hard it is to
- 22:07Speaker 4: get a moment like that, and here it is.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Here's what's crazy.
- 22:10Speaker 4: I mean, I'm six days in the shooting on the
- 22:13Speaker 4: highest high I'm back to my creative roots, and all
- 22:16Speaker 4: of a sudden, the world was falling apart. I mean,
- 22:18Speaker 4: what is going on?
- 22:19Speaker 2: Is this?
- 22:20Speaker 4: I mean, it just didn't seem real, you know. And
- 22:22Speaker 4: I remember I remember being on the plane with the
- 22:25Speaker 4: cast and they were all looking at me, like two
- 22:28Speaker 4: hours ago we were filming and now we're in the
- 22:30Speaker 4: air going home. It was that surreal. You couldn't process it.
- 22:34Speaker 4: It was one of those moments. So I'm glad we
- 22:36Speaker 4: got out at the time we're supposed to get out
- 22:38Speaker 4: and we're safe and all that stuff, but it was
- 22:39Speaker 4: it was heartbreaking, Lalla.
- 22:41Speaker 2: And I'll just give you two other little Tidboots bits.
- 22:44Speaker 4: The friday before we shut down, I got hit with
- 22:47Speaker 4: my call from my girl calling me and me in tears.
- 22:50Speaker 4: I couldn't even walk to the set for an hour
- 22:52Speaker 4: because she was breaking the news to me that we
- 22:54Speaker 4: had to shut our wedding down.
- 22:56Speaker 2: And I was like, oh, yeah, yeah, so this was
- 22:58Speaker 2: like a first is the wedding.
- 23:01Speaker 4: And she's like and I said, Babe, I don't even
- 23:02Speaker 4: think I can go back to the set, and she's like, no, no, no,
- 23:05Speaker 4: You're gonna pull it together.
- 23:06Speaker 2: You're gonna shake this off.
- 23:08Speaker 4: We're gonna get married on another day and you're gonna
- 23:10Speaker 4: go back to work. And I was like, it took
- 23:13Speaker 4: me a couple hours.
- 23:13Speaker 1: And did I do remember?
- 23:15Speaker 3: Because you get your you guys know you you plan
- 23:18Speaker 3: a wedding date in that date somehow like you become
- 23:21Speaker 3: obsessed with it. Yeah, and we were holding on pretty
- 23:25Speaker 3: tight to that date.
- 23:27Speaker 2: It was it was rough, but good for you.
- 23:30Speaker 5: Another good leader. I have a good job.
- 23:32Speaker 4: Yeah, she pulled, she pulled the ripcord for She said, babe,
- 23:36Speaker 4: no one's going to show up on our wedding. We
- 23:38Speaker 4: gotta we gotta protect ourselves now, and we call the property.
- 23:42Speaker 4: They played ball with us and we were able to
- 23:45Speaker 4: make you know.
- 23:45Speaker 3: That is the one great thing is during this everybody
- 23:48Speaker 3: has been very very kind. Like I mean, I've been
- 23:52Speaker 3: getting emails that are like, by the way, like your
- 23:54Speaker 3: AMEX bill, we don't expect payment because we know you
- 23:58Speaker 3: probably don't have a job right now.
- 24:01Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 24:02Speaker 4: Well, guys, I want to ask you a couple a
- 24:04Speaker 4: big question because you have a huge business with after
- 24:06Speaker 4: Buzz TV. I mean a giggantic operation with tons of employees.
- 24:11Speaker 4: I don't even know the number, but it's I know,
- 24:13Speaker 4: it's huge. It's a big business. How do you now
- 24:17Speaker 4: go to broadcasting with all your live shows, with all
- 24:19Speaker 4: of your.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Podcasts, with all your stuff? How do you survive? And
- 24:23Speaker 2: what have you done? And have you thrived in this
- 24:26Speaker 2: time and.
- 24:26Speaker 4: Been able to make changes because a lot of people
- 24:29Speaker 4: have had to shut down completely?
- 24:31Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 24:32Speaker 5: Well, I will say so. Within twenty four hours of
- 24:35Speaker 5: me putting cards on every surface and table viewing station
- 24:39Speaker 5: at after Buzz for anybody who doesn't know what after
- 24:42Speaker 5: Buzz is, we are a broadcast network that produces after
- 24:47Speaker 5: shows for almost every TV show out there. So we
- 24:51Speaker 5: are global and we produce one hundred and fifty plus
- 24:54Speaker 5: hours of programming a week. We over for four hundred hosts,
- 24:58Speaker 5: every size, race, ethnicity, age, background, and it's a major operation.
- 25:05Speaker 5: We have six high definition studios.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Old Mike, you're a studio.
- 25:08Speaker 4: I mean you're literally a studio where every studio has
- 25:11Speaker 4: shut down. How do you use I wouldn't even know.
- 25:14Speaker 2: What to do.
- 25:14Speaker 5: Okay, So within twenty four hours of me putting note
- 25:18Speaker 5: cards on every viewing station saying we are cleaning furiously,
- 25:22Speaker 5: I looked at I looked at our our one of
- 25:25Speaker 5: our employees, and I said, we need a plan immediately
- 25:29Speaker 5: to be able to broadcast from everyone's homes because we're
- 25:33Speaker 5: going to be quarantined any minute. We are going to
- 25:35Speaker 5: go on lockdown. And everyone looked at me like I
- 25:37Speaker 5: was nuts. I said, guys, we are going to be
- 25:39Speaker 5: locked down. We need to at least start testing this.
- 25:43Speaker 5: So instantly I thought of Zoom and I said, let's
- 25:47Speaker 5: do some tests with Zoom. I set up some tests
- 25:49Speaker 5: with them where we looked at how it could be done.
- 25:53Speaker 5: Our head guy, Steven Lemieux, was amazing. He created our
- 25:57Speaker 5: logo to put you know, on top of there, and
- 25:59Speaker 5: we were very quickly that all of our hosts could
- 26:02Speaker 5: continue hosting these after shows from their homes.
- 26:06Speaker 2: We created a.
- 26:07Speaker 5: Grid so we would know who had access to what,
- 26:10Speaker 5: because you know a lot of people don't have TVs
- 26:11Speaker 5: at home. We had the viewing stations at after Buzz
- 26:14Speaker 5: our studios, and so we figured out who had HBO,
- 26:18Speaker 5: who had showtime, who had you know, broadcast TV. We
- 26:22Speaker 5: created the after shows from there. Within twenty four hours,
- 26:26Speaker 5: we were up live. We didn't miss a beat because
- 26:29Speaker 5: Saturdays were off, so by Sunday we were live and
- 26:33Speaker 5: we were producing one hundred and thirty five hours of programming.
- 26:36Speaker 5: We set up an engineer station in the house where
- 26:41Speaker 5: our staff lives, so they were going to be quarantined together.
- 26:43Speaker 2: Anyway, Oh my god, this is insane, this is right.
- 26:47Speaker 5: So we set up stations where they could produce their
- 26:51Speaker 5: show from their computers.
- 26:54Speaker 6: And that was it.
- 26:56Speaker 5: And we have not missed a beat and it's been
- 26:59Speaker 5: really amazing and at testament to our stuff and our
- 27:02Speaker 5: hosts who are so excited to bring this content to
- 27:05Speaker 5: people who need it right now, who a little entertainment.
- 27:08Speaker 5: We have hosts that are hosting with their dogs and
- 27:11Speaker 5: making it cute and fun and it's been amazing.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Wow.
- 27:14Speaker 3: So, like, during this time, have you noticed that viewership
- 27:18Speaker 3: has gone up? Because again, like we don't have and
- 27:20Speaker 3: you totally don't have to answer this, but like for me,
- 27:25Speaker 3: I even notice on my social media that things are
- 27:28Speaker 3: getting more views than usual because I feel like everybody's
- 27:31Speaker 3: just stuck.
- 27:32Speaker 6: Definitely, views have definitely gone up, and I think because
- 27:36Speaker 6: people now are stuck at home to watch this stuff.
- 27:39Speaker 6: What's happening Randall, which would be interesting. What your take
- 27:42Speaker 6: is going to be is when the content starts running
- 27:45Speaker 6: out and that's why they're going to need people like
- 27:47Speaker 6: you guys and us to keep creating original content. Granted,
- 27:50Speaker 6: some going to have the production level of like Better
- 27:52Speaker 6: call Saul, but for real, I heard that Walking Dead
- 27:55Speaker 6: has the finale shot but does not have the resources
- 27:59Speaker 6: to edit the finale, so they have to make it
- 28:01Speaker 6: a special later. So it's going to be interesting when
- 28:04Speaker 6: the new stuff runs out.
- 28:06Speaker 2: You're you're right, Kevin, You're right. That's actually a really
- 28:08Speaker 2: good point.
- 28:08Speaker 4: And you know, we face this in the last recession,
- 28:13Speaker 4: nothing of this scale. But I feel like like when
- 28:17Speaker 4: the guilds have gone on strike, you know, and content
- 28:20Speaker 4: gets backed up and then they run out of content.
- 28:22Speaker 4: I feel like there is going to be a thirst,
- 28:25Speaker 4: a desperation for new content, and I think people like
- 28:29Speaker 4: us who provide that are going to be, you know,
- 28:32Speaker 4: in a place where they're just gonna be so thirsty
- 28:34Speaker 4: for content because this the world has never seen. I
- 28:37Speaker 4: mean one thing, sometimes the content will get shut down,
- 28:41Speaker 4: whether guild or something like that, but we never had
- 28:43Speaker 4: them theater shut down.
- 28:44Speaker 2: I mean, this is this is unheard of.
- 28:47Speaker 6: Now, this is yeah, this is back to the depression.
- 28:50Speaker 6: You guys, like, it's it ends global. We were globally
- 28:54Speaker 6: connected one hundred years ago. So yeah, this is like
- 28:57Speaker 6: nothing any of us have ever experienced.
- 28:59Speaker 2: I agree.
- 29:01Speaker 4: Let me let me ask you guys a question you
- 29:03Speaker 4: and now tell us about this. Am I confused? Maria
- 29:06Speaker 4: the show that Lala and I have both been on
- 29:09Speaker 4: as guests, and Kevin, you now have a show called
- 29:12Speaker 4: Better Together Daily?
- 29:14Speaker 2: Is that?
- 29:14Speaker 4: Is that what it's called? And tell us about that?
- 29:16Speaker 4: And how is it different?
- 29:18Speaker 2: You know? Is it? Just explain it to us and
- 29:20Speaker 2: tell us what it's.
- 29:21Speaker 5: Yeah, of course, so Better Together was born from my
- 29:25Speaker 5: serious XM radio show. I was doing that daily, and
- 29:27Speaker 5: I really wanted to move to podcast again, and and
- 29:32Speaker 5: most of that was because I had so many epiphanies
- 29:35Speaker 5: after I had brain surgery. You know, you know, my
- 29:38Speaker 5: mom and I both had brain teamers within eight months
- 29:40Speaker 5: of each other. It changed me completely, and so I
- 29:44Speaker 5: started quickly to realize that I was a little lonely
- 29:48Speaker 5: in my perspective on life. I knew social media was
- 29:52Speaker 5: you know, was you know what it was? I I
- 29:56Speaker 5: knew that materials meant nothing anymore. I knew at what
- 30:01Speaker 5: really mattered in life was our health and the well
- 30:04Speaker 5: being of our family and friends. And that bond and
- 30:08Speaker 5: that love that we have with each other that you
- 30:10Speaker 5: can't take anything else with you and none of it matters,
- 30:13Speaker 5: and I would find myself really lonely, and so I
- 30:15Speaker 5: created better together. Because I was on a spiritual journey,
- 30:20Speaker 5: I wanted to really explore so many other things, and
- 30:24Speaker 5: I wanted to still get better at everything, health, wellness, spirituality, finances, everything,
- 30:31Speaker 5: and I'm a big learner. So I started doing that
- 30:35Speaker 5: every Monday, and it was my way of tapping into
- 30:38Speaker 5: the greatest minds, the greatest healers, the greatest experts, so
- 30:42Speaker 5: that not only could I get answers to things that
- 30:45Speaker 5: I needed and help I wanted, but so that everyone
- 30:49Speaker 5: who's on that same journey with me didn't feel lonely
- 30:51Speaker 5: and could get better with us. So I was doing
- 30:55Speaker 5: it every Monday. And then when this all happened, Kevin
- 30:58Speaker 5: looked at me and he goes, Maria, time, You've got
- 31:01Speaker 5: to be the light right now for people, because everyone's
- 31:04Speaker 5: going to need this. Everyone's so louting to know how
- 31:08Speaker 5: to handle their finances right now. We did an amazing
- 31:10Speaker 5: episode with Aj Gupta, who is featured all over Tony
- 31:14Speaker 5: Robbins's book Money Master, the game, and I've changed my
- 31:17Speaker 5: whole life because of him financially, and so we were
- 31:20Speaker 5: able to talk to people who have credit card debt
- 31:23Speaker 5: and say, listen, you know you can get a zero
- 31:26Speaker 5: percent loan, switch it over, save that money and interest
- 31:29Speaker 5: every month, Or if you have a mortgage, you can
- 31:31Speaker 5: refinance at a lower rate right now, helping people in
- 31:34Speaker 5: a critical time. But then all the way down to
- 31:38Speaker 5: you know, relationships and how to survive being with your
- 31:42Speaker 5: significant other twenty four to seven when you're not used
- 31:45Speaker 5: to it, like we are obviously bringing in spiritual gurus
- 31:48Speaker 5: who are telling us that this is an awakening that
- 31:51Speaker 5: we all needed. But this was the awakening I had
- 31:55Speaker 5: after surgery, and now everyone's being forced into it. Whether
- 31:59Speaker 5: they're going to accept it, whether they're going to lean
- 32:02Speaker 5: into it, I don't know. Yeah, but that's what I'm
- 32:04Speaker 5: doing every day with my show, and providing a sane,
- 32:07Speaker 5: safe space where we have light, where we can talk
- 32:10Speaker 5: about what we're afraid of and what we're worried about,
- 32:13Speaker 5: but also turn it into something positive and figure out,
- 32:17Speaker 5: as Trevor Moad said, how to win the weight And
- 32:20Speaker 5: right now I think we all need to be winning
- 32:23Speaker 5: the weight we have to wait, we have no choice.
- 32:26Speaker 5: How do we win the weight?
- 32:27Speaker 2: I actually love that that.
- 32:28Speaker 1: I mean, that's like right up my alley.
- 32:30Speaker 3: You're you're the person that's bringing hope to so many
- 32:33Speaker 3: people at this time and beyond this time. I mean
- 32:36Speaker 3: so many people. Just the world that we live in.
- 32:39Speaker 3: It's so hard to find the light on many days.
- 32:44Speaker 3: And I you know how much I love you Maria
- 32:46Speaker 3: and Kevin so like.
- 32:48Speaker 2: You talking about this.
- 32:49Speaker 3: Yeah, you guys, the content they produce is for humansane.
- 32:53Speaker 4: This stuff you guys produces, by the way, is you
- 32:56Speaker 4: make your guests feel so good. I am was never
- 32:59Speaker 4: somebody ever saw myself do anything like this. I came
- 33:02Speaker 4: in the first time, and you guys made me feel
- 33:04Speaker 4: like I've been doing it for twenty years.
- 33:05Speaker 2: I think that's your.
- 33:06Speaker 4: Gift that you're able to take any kind of person,
- 33:09Speaker 4: when it's the biggest star in the world, or the
- 33:10Speaker 4: biggest guru or or religious person, whatever it is, you
- 33:15Speaker 4: get out of them and you make them relatable so
- 33:19Speaker 4: people can can feel connected. And I think that's really neat.
- 33:23Speaker 4: I can't wait to listen to the show now.
- 33:26Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 33:26Speaker 6: It's gonna be you guys the next here's why I
- 33:29Speaker 6: see it, Randall. And the next three to six months
- 33:32Speaker 6: is the health crisis, and really it's about protecting the elderly,
- 33:36Speaker 6: and mainly the elderly, and the people who have compromised
- 33:39Speaker 6: immune systems mainly correct. Then after that, I think it's
- 33:42Speaker 6: going to be an economic catastrophe, and then that's going
- 33:46Speaker 6: to affect people with dependents, people with mortgages, and people
- 33:49Speaker 6: living week to week, which is already affecting them now.
- 33:52Speaker 2: Correct.
- 33:53Speaker 6: I feel like millennials, if you're a millennial, go home,
- 33:56Speaker 6: be with your parents, take care of mom and dad
- 33:58Speaker 6: right now, circle of wagons when you come out, and
- 34:01Speaker 6: when this ends, we'll job for them than ever. And
- 34:04Speaker 6: I do believe student loans will probably be reduced or forgiven.
- 34:07Speaker 6: But the next it's going to be health first, and
- 34:09Speaker 6: then it's going to be economic crisis, probably for like
- 34:12Speaker 6: two years Randall.
- 34:13Speaker 2: And like and I agree with you, Kevin.
- 34:16Speaker 4: I think that where we're heading economically, once we get
- 34:19Speaker 4: through the health issues and people are out of that
- 34:22Speaker 4: part of it, I think we're going to have to
- 34:24Speaker 4: embrace the world because it's going to be real scary
- 34:26Speaker 4: for a lot of people, and the world I don't
- 34:30Speaker 4: want to go anywhere. I just want to take a
- 34:31Speaker 4: quick break and I want to come right back because
- 34:33Speaker 4: I could talk to you guys for years. So we're
- 34:35Speaker 4: going to be right back in a minute.
- 34:40Speaker 2: We are back.
- 34:42Speaker 1: We have two very special guests.
- 34:45Speaker 2: Yep.
- 34:45Speaker 4: We have Maria and Kevin, the Dynamic Power couple business
- 34:51Speaker 4: team and husband and wife and friends of ours, and
- 34:54Speaker 4: we've been having the best time talking with you guys.
- 34:58Speaker 4: I just want to just ask you guys some thing
- 35:00Speaker 4: because I heard a rumor, and I'm.
- 35:02Speaker 2: Sure it's true.
- 35:03Speaker 3: The rumors don't start during quarantine or don't stop during
- 35:06Speaker 3: correct they never say they still fly.
- 35:08Speaker 4: But I did hear a rumor that you guys were
- 35:10Speaker 4: on the front lines not only doing what you do
- 35:13Speaker 4: every day running this big business that you run, but
- 35:16Speaker 4: you guys help raise money for thousands of mass to
- 35:20Speaker 4: help at hospitals. That just fill us in because we're
- 35:23Speaker 4: just obviously you know, I'm a little late to the
- 35:24Speaker 4: dance here, so I'm just starting to do any money.
- 35:27Speaker 4: So tell me what you did so I could feel
- 35:29Speaker 4: really stupid after this.
- 35:31Speaker 6: So because of my journey, I think, you know, with
- 35:33Speaker 6: her her mom's tumor in hers she's gotten so into
- 35:39Speaker 6: into the medical field and has probably been counseling.
- 35:42Speaker 2: She's I don't know, probably two or three hundred.
- 35:44Speaker 6: Patients from all over the world with different ailments, especially cancer,
- 35:49Speaker 6: asking her for help. And because she's learned so much
- 35:52Speaker 6: of it, well, it's led us to have relationships with
- 35:54Speaker 6: all the people in the medical field. And what Maria
- 35:56Speaker 6: came to discover was that our people in the medical field,
- 36:00Speaker 6: guys around the country, do not have the tools they
- 36:03Speaker 6: need to protect themselves to fight this. And she discovered that,
- 36:08Speaker 6: you know, we lose them as for this line of defense.
- 36:11Speaker 2: We're fun. Oh it's over. Yeah.
- 36:13Speaker 5: It was when Kevin was at the hospital with my mom.
- 36:15Speaker 5: She had to go get her next round of chemo
- 36:19Speaker 5: treatments and stuff in the hospital, and I was on
- 36:22Speaker 5: speaker because Kevin's the one who forages, so we've made
- 36:26Speaker 5: it so that he's the only one who goes into
- 36:27Speaker 5: the outside world and I stay home and my dad
- 36:31Speaker 5: stayed home. And so when I was there on the
- 36:34Speaker 5: phone with them, he was live in person. The doctor.
- 36:37Speaker 5: I said to him at the end of the car,
- 36:38Speaker 5: I said, doctor Rudnick, do you have a mask on?
- 36:41Speaker 5: And he said no, and I said, yeah, I thought, so,
- 36:44Speaker 5: you didn't sound muffled, and he goes, well, we don't
- 36:46Speaker 5: have any. He goes, the few that we have we
- 36:49Speaker 5: save were at risk patients. And I hung up the
- 36:52Speaker 5: phone and I was so furious, and I was first
- 36:56Speaker 5: I cried, then I got mad. And then I saw
- 36:59Speaker 5: Bethany Frank on Instagram was creating these things called Corona kits,
- 37:03Speaker 5: and they had masks and they had hand sanitizer and
- 37:07Speaker 5: all this stuff. So I called her and I said,
- 37:10Speaker 5: where are you getting these masks? I want to raise
- 37:12Speaker 5: money to get our healthcare workers' masks. I'm like, this
- 37:16Speaker 5: is disgusting that my doctors are in jeopardy right now.
- 37:20Speaker 5: And she said, well, I have like ten thousand right now.
- 37:22Speaker 5: Maybe I should just be pivoting and moving them out
- 37:25Speaker 5: of the kits and I'm going to start moving them
- 37:27Speaker 5: to hospitals. So she is a gangster. She started shifting instantly.
- 37:32Speaker 5: I said, let's do an episode of my podcast Better Together,
- 37:35Speaker 5: designed specifically to raise money for this. So we did
- 37:38Speaker 5: the call outs, we raised some money. I connected her
- 37:41Speaker 5: with this guy, Grant Verstandeg He's the founder of rally Health,
- 37:45Speaker 5: and then from there she was soaring. She just kept
- 37:48Speaker 5: texting me, I love you, I love you. Granted is amazing.
- 37:50Speaker 5: He's killing it.
- 37:51Speaker 2: God, this is amazing.
- 37:52Speaker 5: So we decided that I couldn't pick just one institution
- 37:57Speaker 5: in LA because they've all been great to us. So
- 38:00Speaker 5: we picked yesterday. In fact, the shipments went, we had
- 38:04Speaker 5: five thousand and ninety five masks to UCLA Cedars and
- 38:09Speaker 5: Children's Hospital LA along with she added surgical masks to
- 38:14Speaker 5: all of them. But like, listen, this was like I
- 38:18Speaker 5: did very little. Bethany is a force to be reckoned with.
- 38:24Speaker 5: She just is relentless. She's been talking to every governor.
- 38:29Speaker 5: She is seeing corruption within organizations that are supposed to
- 38:34Speaker 5: be helping getting the job done. And she deserves an
- 38:38Speaker 5: award when this is done.
- 38:39Speaker 2: Wow.
- 38:40Speaker 3: She did the same thing when the hurricane hit Puerto Rico.
- 38:45Speaker 3: She's like, she's just someone who not only has her
- 38:49Speaker 3: Skinny Girl brand, but she is someone who's out there
- 38:53Speaker 3: helping people on a regular basis, no matter what it is.
- 38:57Speaker 5: Yeah, when that other hurricane, I think it was Puerto
- 39:00Speaker 5: Rico hit, I was recovering from surgery and I remember
- 39:05Speaker 5: seeing her do this, and so I reached out to
- 39:08Speaker 5: her and I said, please let me help, and so
- 39:10Speaker 5: I started connecting her that time as well, and so
- 39:13Speaker 5: it was the first thing she mentioned on my podcast.
- 39:15Speaker 5: She's like, I want everybody to know Maria was the
- 39:16Speaker 5: first one to come.
- 39:17Speaker 3: Oh my god, the two of you together, Yeah, you
- 39:21Speaker 3: guys save the world.
- 39:22Speaker 4: You guys are like tornadoes in the best way. I mean, clearly, Listen, Marie,
- 39:27Speaker 4: you One thing I know about you is you're the
- 39:29Speaker 4: most humble human in the world. And you know, I
- 39:32Speaker 4: know you don't take credit for most things you do.
- 39:34Speaker 4: But the fact that you called her up and the
- 39:36Speaker 4: two of you together did this is is just unreal.
- 39:39Speaker 4: And I mean, where can we will tell us where
- 39:42Speaker 4: we can involved Lala and I because.
- 39:44Speaker 1: We want to make a don and our listeners.
- 39:46Speaker 5: Guys, every dollar counts, like even if you only have
- 39:50Speaker 5: one thousand dollars, even if you only have five dollars.
- 39:54Speaker 5: I guess a lot of celebrities were gun shy at
- 39:56Speaker 5: first when we were reaching out, because everybody was instantly
- 39:59Speaker 5: terrified of what if and what's happening. And then you
- 40:02Speaker 5: start seeing the Ryan Reynolds and the Blake Lively's and
- 40:06Speaker 5: the Drew Breeses and everybody, and then everyone started going
- 40:08Speaker 5: from there, but it was hard initially to raise money,
- 40:12Speaker 5: but everything counts. Three or four dollars will buy an
- 40:16Speaker 5: N ninety five math right now for a healthcare worker.
- 40:19Speaker 5: And I'm telling you they still don't forget have them
- 40:21Speaker 5: Torrence Hospital. I was talking to them yesterday. The CEO
- 40:24Speaker 5: they're suffering usc Kech does not have mouth. They're suffering,
- 40:30Speaker 5: and so donate to be Strong. You go to Bethany
- 40:33Speaker 5: Frankel on social media, click on the link for Bestrong,
- 40:36Speaker 5: or go to bstrong dot com. And she devotes every
- 40:40Speaker 5: time directly to the cause, and she also funds it
- 40:44Speaker 5: herself when she needs to, so there are very few organizations.
- 40:49Speaker 5: I've always had a really hard time with donating to organizations.
- 40:53Speaker 5: I just go rogue and I do my own thing.
- 40:55Speaker 2: And I'm similar to you, Maria. I like to kind
- 40:57Speaker 2: of do my own.
- 40:57Speaker 5: It's hard because it goes to infrastructure and you know it,
- 41:00Speaker 5: and it goes to fancy balls and dinners and some nonsense.
- 41:04Speaker 5: This is direct to the people. So if you donate
- 41:07Speaker 5: to be Strong, the money will go to people who
- 41:09Speaker 5: need it. She's shifted and now been getting has Matt suits.
- 41:12Speaker 5: She got a million has Matt Suits out what it's crazy.
- 41:17Speaker 5: I mean, think about it. FEMA sent California ventilators, and
- 41:21Speaker 5: Gavin Newsom, the governor, had to go on TV and say, yes,
- 41:24Speaker 5: we got them, but they're all busted and we had
- 41:26Speaker 5: to send them to Silicon Valley to fix them.
- 41:28Speaker 4: Come on, come on, well, I want to say, right
- 41:32Speaker 4: here on this call. When I get off this call,
- 41:33Speaker 4: I'm donating five thousand dollars to be strong because you're
- 41:38Speaker 4: a rock star.
- 41:39Speaker 1: I'll notch that, rand I will not share five k.
- 41:41Speaker 2: All right now, you'll even I'm gonna hold it to it.
- 41:45Speaker 5: She looks by the way, she'll see whether your name
- 41:47Speaker 5: is on there.
- 41:48Speaker 2: No.
- 41:49Speaker 1: No, If there's one thing we do and we donate
- 41:51Speaker 1: to a car, call.
- 41:52Speaker 4: Bethany that we are giving five thousand dollars each, we
- 41:56Speaker 4: will give it total ten thousand dollars. Way she yah, yep, yep,
- 42:01Speaker 4: We're gonna come on, this is this is the least
- 42:03Speaker 4: we can do. I mean, these these healthcare providers, the
- 42:06Speaker 4: doctors and nurses. I'm watching them on the front lines,
- 42:09Speaker 4: no sleep, twenty hour shifts, thirty hour shifts and risking
- 42:14Speaker 4: their lives to save people who are need.
- 42:17Speaker 2: Come on, these are the.
- 42:19Speaker 1: Heroes of the the least we can do.
- 42:21Speaker 5: Legit, guys. I just retweeted a video of a nurse
- 42:24Speaker 5: hysterically crying and she was like, I had to quit
- 42:27Speaker 5: my job because they put me in a COVID nineteen
- 42:30Speaker 5: unit without a mask, and I have a family I
- 42:33Speaker 5: have to protect, and she has to quit her job.
- 42:36Speaker 5: We don't want nurses dying. We don't need them in fear.
- 42:39Speaker 5: They're having to write wills on the fly because they're
- 42:43Speaker 5: afraid they're going to die, and the gangster ones are
- 42:45Speaker 5: still going in and they are just hoping for the best.
- 42:49Speaker 5: Oh my god, this is a disaster of epic proportions.
- 42:52Speaker 5: How dare we in this century, in twenty twenty allow
- 42:58Speaker 5: the people who take care of us to be jeff
- 43:00Speaker 5: the way they are. It's absolutely disgusting. And I'm sorry.
- 43:05Speaker 5: I'm not a genius, but I knew what was coming,
- 43:07Speaker 5: and so other people should have known to and actions
- 43:10Speaker 5: should have been taken.
- 43:11Speaker 6: Well, I think we can all Monday Morning quarterback, But
- 43:14Speaker 6: I understand the philosophy randal of you don't want economic
- 43:18Speaker 6: collapse either, because that's going to lead to even greater problems.
- 43:22Speaker 6: So you roll the dice and hope you can keep
- 43:25Speaker 6: the economy going. And you know what, it just didn't
- 43:28Speaker 6: pay off. So now we just have to do.
- 43:30Speaker 4: And by the way, because I was just moved to
- 43:32Speaker 4: tears there and so is Lalla, I just want to
- 43:33Speaker 4: say something. I don't think in a hundred years since
- 43:37Speaker 4: the Spanish flew, I think exactly that Kevin. I think
- 43:40Speaker 4: the government thought they're going to roll the dice. This
- 43:42Speaker 4: will be some small situation that we'll catch, they'll fix,
- 43:46Speaker 4: they'll it won't it won't blow up. But every hundred
- 43:49Speaker 4: years something like this happens and it just nobody saw coming.
- 43:55Speaker 4: And I agree Maria. You know in the United States
- 43:58Speaker 4: of America should be better, but of course.
- 44:00Speaker 3: They should protect their people. And like Maia said, at
- 44:02Speaker 3: this day and time.
- 44:04Speaker 1: We should be the ability to be better, right.
- 44:07Speaker 4: But if the government can't do it, then people like you, Maria,
- 44:10Speaker 4: and Kevin and and Beth Andy Franklin all the other
- 44:13Speaker 4: people out.
- 44:13Speaker 2: There and you guys and US and US and US.
- 44:16Speaker 4: But you know, and I you know, Lala, and I uh,
- 44:19Speaker 4: you know, just did our podcast today was with a
- 44:23Speaker 4: COVID survivor, a guy that we became friends with, and
- 44:27Speaker 4: he's forty years old with no underlying health issues. He
- 44:29Speaker 4: did five days in intensive care at the hospital, fighting
- 44:32Speaker 4: for his life. He's out now, and I wanted people
- 44:35Speaker 4: to hear from him. You know, like, this is affecting everybody, young, old,
- 44:41Speaker 4: healthy or nonhealthy. This will change your life. It has
- 44:45Speaker 4: changed everybody's life already. But we want to protect and
- 44:49Speaker 4: save and be and keep people as healthy as we can.
- 44:51Speaker 4: And I just feel like we all have this obligation.
- 44:54Speaker 5: But I also think I also think, guys, like, here's
- 44:57Speaker 5: the thing. I agree with the tech the economy, because
- 45:01Speaker 5: you're protecting people in general when you do that. But
- 45:03Speaker 5: when you see that something could be coming, and this
- 45:06Speaker 5: is just for the future, you need to protect the downside.
- 45:10Speaker 5: You need to go into action and say this could
- 45:13Speaker 5: be coming. Why don't we arm our hospitals, arm our
- 45:17Speaker 5: governor is prepare everybody for the worst. When we have
- 45:20Speaker 5: a hurricane coming, we start to prepare.
- 45:23Speaker 6: Never happened in our lifetime. You hear Randall said it
- 45:27Speaker 6: was one hundred years ago, the Spanish flu. And the
- 45:30Speaker 6: only reason they called it the Spanish flu. Do you
- 45:32Speaker 6: know why, guys, because Spain was the only place to
- 45:37Speaker 6: admit that they had a flu everyone else did what
- 45:40Speaker 6: we did today. Everyone denied it because they didn't want
- 45:43Speaker 6: the economy to collapse. We have not seen this in
- 45:46Speaker 6: our lifetime.
- 45:47Speaker 2: Now, one hundred and ten years ago or something. It
- 45:49Speaker 2: was like one hundred and ten years ago.
- 45:50Speaker 4: And I agree with you, Kevin, like this is that
- 45:53Speaker 4: one thing going to the other side.
- 45:54Speaker 2: We need to learn from this.
- 45:55Speaker 4: When we get through it, so that one hundred years
- 45:58Speaker 4: from now or two hundred years now, if this ever
- 46:00Speaker 4: happens again, and it will happen again, I'm sure at
- 46:03Speaker 4: some point that we're prepared and that people like Maria
- 46:07Speaker 4: and and and and and we just don't we're better prepared,
- 46:11Speaker 4: like the hospitals and doctors and nurses, and I'll just say,
- 46:16Speaker 4: you know, this is a time of uncertainty, but at
- 46:19Speaker 4: the same time, it's a time for the human spirit.
- 46:21Speaker 4: And that's what this is an example of for me.
- 46:24Speaker 4: That's why I'm that's the that's the upside of this
- 46:27Speaker 4: for me.
- 46:27Speaker 1: You have to have an upside.
- 46:29Speaker 6: Yeah, it's gonna know, there's gonna be a huge reset,
- 46:31Speaker 6: which we totally needed as a culture. And you guys
- 46:34Speaker 6: know that we're getting you know, and furthermore, you know
- 46:37Speaker 6: that remember Randall, do you remember your great grandparents or
- 46:39Speaker 6: the depression survivors, how they had kids food in their
- 46:43Speaker 6: basement forever. That's gonna be all of us now, like
- 46:46Speaker 6: we're going to carry this with us. We'll all be
- 46:49Speaker 6: kind of you know, at least in our life lifetimes,
- 46:51Speaker 6: we'll all be prepared after this.
- 46:52Speaker 5: One other thing. One other thing that people can do
- 46:55Speaker 5: that are listening to this, because you guys are obviously
- 46:58Speaker 5: crushing it with your podcast and have so many listeners,
- 47:03Speaker 5: is if you are in an affected area, send you
- 47:06Speaker 5: the local hospital some cookies or some treats, or some
- 47:10Speaker 5: snacks or flowers. Well you can't do flowers anymore, but
- 47:15Speaker 5: send them food, send them some soup, send them something
- 47:18Speaker 5: so that they know they have something there. And if
- 47:22Speaker 5: you are an attorney and you can share your services
- 47:25Speaker 5: right now with doctors and nurses, call up the CEO
- 47:28Speaker 5: of a hospital and say, I would love to extend
- 47:31Speaker 5: my services to these doctors and nurses who are panicking
- 47:34Speaker 5: right now. There are so many things that we can
- 47:36Speaker 5: all do. We can share our gifts, our talents, our
- 47:39Speaker 5: skills with them right now because they need it most.
- 47:42Speaker 5: The first responder is the EMTs, the fire departments send
- 47:46Speaker 5: food to them.
- 47:47Speaker 4: Wait, Kevin Murray, you guys saying like we could just
- 47:49Speaker 4: get in the car, drop off a bag of groceries
- 47:52Speaker 4: or a bag of this, or some hot food or
- 47:54Speaker 4: some hot lunch, and that that helps.
- 47:57Speaker 2: Like everything at this point helps.
- 47:58Speaker 5: You're saying anything, everything helps, I think, Kevin. What Kevin
- 48:02Speaker 5: said is a good point is you can support the
- 48:04Speaker 5: local economy by ordering food and having it delivered to
- 48:08Speaker 5: the hospitals. And you could just say this is for
- 48:11Speaker 5: you know, the staff here at this hospital that needs
- 48:13Speaker 5: it most, and you know, whatever.
- 48:16Speaker 2: Idea, it's a great idea.
- 48:17Speaker 7: There's one of the people are doing, you, guys, is
- 48:20Speaker 7: for some of the local businesses if you want to
- 48:22Speaker 7: support them by gift cards. A lot of them are
- 48:24Speaker 7: selling gift cards for when the smoke clears, you can
- 48:27Speaker 7: go out and use them. But all these like little things.
- 48:30Speaker 7: Because I'm telling you, I don't wave this is wave one.
- 48:33Speaker 7: Wave two is to see it's one thing to be sick,
- 48:35Speaker 7: but to be.
- 48:36Speaker 6: Impoverish and sick, you guys, I don't really want to
- 48:39Speaker 6: see that.
- 48:39Speaker 2: Oh my god. Yeah, that's yeah. And you're right, Kevin.
- 48:42Speaker 4: It's it's so smart of you because you know, you're
- 48:45Speaker 4: you're saying, Okay, we're going to get through the health
- 48:47Speaker 4: part of this.
- 48:48Speaker 2: It's going to be brutal, and we're in it now.
- 48:50Speaker 1: But we have to be prepared for prepared for wave too.
- 48:53Speaker 1: We are healthy.
- 48:54Speaker 4: When people are on the street losing their homes, losing
- 48:56Speaker 4: their businesses, you know, we've we've got to also be
- 48:59Speaker 4: ready for that.
- 49:00Speaker 2: And that's next. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 49:02Speaker 5: And here's the thing, guys, we haven't even started. I'm
- 49:07Speaker 5: telling you, it is going to be such a pain
- 49:10Speaker 5: that we don't even know how to fucking handle.
- 49:12Speaker 2: Well.
- 49:12Speaker 5: It is going to be a very deep beating to
- 49:15Speaker 5: see the people around you dropping the way that this
- 49:18Speaker 5: is going to hit. And I hope that in California
- 49:21Speaker 5: what they're saying is true, that we did the social distancing,
- 49:25Speaker 5: and also because we're so spread out, it won't hit
- 49:28Speaker 5: as hard. I'm praying, But everybody has to stay in
- 49:32Speaker 5: In New York. It's going to be brutal. It already
- 49:34Speaker 5: is brutal because they're so close. It's such tight quarters
- 49:37Speaker 5: for everybody.
- 49:38Speaker 2: New York is unreal.
- 49:39Speaker 4: I've seen the pictures, the body bags and the refrigerated
- 49:42Speaker 4: trucks that they're using on the side of the street and.
- 49:44Speaker 5: We've just begun, guys, We've just begun, So stay in.
- 49:50Speaker 6: And I think the other thing too, is for people
- 49:52Speaker 6: who have children out there, you know, you can look
- 49:55Speaker 6: at this as as a really bad thing to expose
- 49:59Speaker 6: them to, or you can look at this as an
- 50:00Speaker 6: opportunity to teach them about life and have them, you know,
- 50:04Speaker 6: now do yours and be you know, understand that they
- 50:06Speaker 6: have to be part of this team and this kind
- 50:08Speaker 6: of team effort like they did back in the depression,
- 50:11Speaker 6: rand like they did those other times. Like it's about saying, hey,
- 50:14Speaker 6: like I have friends who's the kids are kind of
- 50:17Speaker 6: trampling them, and then I have other friends that are
- 50:19Speaker 6: the stronger parents were like, hey, you're going to do
- 50:22Speaker 6: dishes now, and you're gonna help set the table, and
- 50:24Speaker 6: you're gonna like, we're gonna not work together to make
- 50:28Speaker 6: the better of this.
- 50:29Speaker 4: So I want I want to I want to just
- 50:30Speaker 4: say one last thing on that, Kevin, You're one hundred
- 50:32Speaker 4: percent right Laala. You know who's a step mom to
- 50:35Speaker 4: two little girls. We have had to change our whole world.
- 50:38Speaker 4: I mean, we're all home and and at first it
- 50:42Speaker 4: was not easy everybody was overwhelmed. Everybody's on top of
- 50:44Speaker 4: each other. But I think we've just started to get
- 50:46Speaker 4: in our groove with school first, reading, quality time and
- 50:51Speaker 4: and and growing up time. Laala and I both have
- 50:54Speaker 4: have sat the girls down and said, nobody's going to
- 50:56Speaker 4: be acting like an animal in this house. We're all
- 50:58Speaker 4: gonna learn be together. We're going to play games where
- 51:02Speaker 4: I mean, I played more Uno. What's that other game?
- 51:04Speaker 4: You got me playing?
- 51:05Speaker 1: Rummy Cue?
- 51:06Speaker 4: Rummy cue, more Rummy cue, more coloring. So anyway, I
- 51:10Speaker 4: think Kevin, your words are right on the money. People
- 51:13Speaker 4: have to come together as families. They have to spend
- 51:15Speaker 4: quality time and and take the best from this.
- 51:18Speaker 3: Right And before we let you guys go enjoy the
- 51:21Speaker 3: rest of your quarantine day, I want to tell you
- 51:24Speaker 3: thank you so much for joining us. I mean, you
- 51:27Speaker 3: you shed so much light on this and I'm really
- 51:30Speaker 3: really grateful for what you guys are doing not only
- 51:32Speaker 3: for entertainment purposes, but what really matters in this world.
- 51:36Speaker 1: Thank you so much.
- 51:37Speaker 4: And and you made us both cry Maria Heaven, so
- 51:41Speaker 4: thank you for that too.
- 51:42Speaker 6: Oh guys, you know what, Let's have a Let's have
- 51:45Speaker 6: a facetimed cocktail were.
- 51:47Speaker 2: At some point you pick it, you pick it.
- 51:49Speaker 6: A lot of friends are doing that now they're having
- 51:52Speaker 6: zoom cocktail parties.
- 51:53Speaker 2: Guys, let's do Thursday.
- 51:55Speaker 4: Let's do a Thursday night six pm zoom cocktails.
- 51:58Speaker 2: Tomorrow. I'm in tomorrow.
- 52:00Speaker 5: Guess what I'm fee It's so weird. I'm free.
- 52:05Speaker 1: I love it. You guys are the best.
- 52:07Speaker 5: Get something with me now. I'm totally wide open. Actually,
- 52:10Speaker 5: it's so weird.
- 52:11Speaker 2: Maria, I have that same problem. I'm pretty free tomorrow
- 52:14Speaker 2: as well.
- 52:14Speaker 5: Okay, so we'll do our cocktail party and one last thing.
- 52:17Speaker 5: If you guys want to know more afterbustv dot com
- 52:21Speaker 5: and if you want to tune into my show, it's
- 52:23Speaker 5: every day at eleven am Pacific time on Apple podcasts, YouTube,
- 52:28Speaker 5: and Facebook. It's called Better Together.
- 52:32Speaker 4: Better Together. Everybody. Everybody's got to tune in. We're going
- 52:35Speaker 4: to tune in because I need it, we need it, and.
- 52:38Speaker 5: Most importantly, donate to be strong. I can't wait to text.
- 52:41Speaker 4: Bethany Tex Bethany, text Bethany that we're sending money. So
- 52:45Speaker 4: and everybody who listens to us, please, like Maria said,
- 52:48Speaker 4: one dollar, two dollars, five dollars.
- 52:50Speaker 1: Whatever, whatever you can donate.
- 52:52Speaker 5: Yeah, because guess what what you're hearing on the news
- 52:55Speaker 5: about masks getting there from the government. You just can't wait.
- 52:58Speaker 5: Let there be extra who cares, right, Let there be
- 53:02Speaker 5: extra because I hear a lot of people the government's
- 53:04Speaker 5: supposed to the government's supposed to do a lot, but
- 53:07Speaker 5: guess what, they're also overwhelmed. There's a lot going on.
- 53:10Speaker 5: And this isn't to knock them, but sometimes you got
- 53:13Speaker 5: to be a leader yourself, and you got to get
- 53:15Speaker 5: what has to get done done, whether it's your job
- 53:18Speaker 5: or not.
- 53:19Speaker 1: A men, Maria and.
- 53:22Speaker 2: You are a powerhouse.
- 53:23Speaker 4: And Kevin you are as well and your friends and
- 53:25Speaker 4: family and we are grateful to know you and we
- 53:28Speaker 4: love you.
- 53:29Speaker 5: Thank you, so love you guys too, and we can't
- 53:31Speaker 5: wait for your wedding. It's going to be bigger and oh.
- 53:34Speaker 1: We love you. Bye you guys.
- 53:36Speaker 2: Thanks guys, all right, they heard it?
- 53:40Speaker 3: Oh my god, that was Every time I talk to
- 53:43Speaker 3: Maria and Kevin though, I feel inspired.
- 53:46Speaker 1: I feel like, you know what, They're right, We can
- 53:48Speaker 1: be leaders.
- 53:49Speaker 3: You may think that you're such a small fish in
- 53:52Speaker 3: a large pond.
- 53:53Speaker 1: That's just a box that we put ourselves in. We
- 53:56Speaker 1: can definitely do this as a community.
- 53:59Speaker 4: And when she says donate five bucks, she means it.
- 54:02Speaker 4: Five dollars means something. So everybody listening doesn't matter how
- 54:06Speaker 4: much money you have or how little money you have.
- 54:08Speaker 4: Hopefully if you have five dollars, it means more to you.
- 54:12Speaker 2: You know what.
- 54:12Speaker 4: It is law, and this has been something I've struggled
- 54:15Speaker 4: with my whole life. Early on when I was younger,
- 54:18Speaker 4: is like, it's the effort. Okay, I'm gonna take the
- 54:20Speaker 4: phone out, I'm gonna register and that you know what,
- 54:23Speaker 4: just do it this time for five bucks, two bucks,
- 54:26Speaker 4: three bucks, or ten bucks, wherever you can afford. We
- 54:29Speaker 4: all have to do it right now so we can
- 54:31Speaker 4: get through this thing. So we have more doctors, because
- 54:34Speaker 4: God forbid, it's a loved one of yours, or a
- 54:35Speaker 4: friend or a family member, whatever, you're gonna want that
- 54:38Speaker 4: doctor there to take care of your family.
- 54:40Speaker 2: So we're inspired. We want everybody to be inspired and be.
- 54:44Speaker 1: Safe, to be safe.
- 54:45Speaker 3: Thank you guys so much for listening, and we will
- 54:48Speaker 3: catch you next week
