Latest / Tea Time w/Amie & Bev / Episode #274: See Yourself in Others
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Hi, everybody, Welcome to tea time with Amy and Bev.
- 0:04Speaker 2: We're bad.
- 0:09Speaker 1: So I got to share a story. It just hit
- 0:12Speaker 1: me and I was like, oh, yeah, I got to
- 0:14Speaker 1: tell you this story because it was so dating funny.
- 0:16Speaker 1: I thought it was because I understand the law of
- 0:19Speaker 1: attraction and and for the most part, still learning some
- 0:23Speaker 1: details in there, but for the most most part. So anyway,
- 0:29Speaker 1: at work, we're getting ready for this very very big
- 0:32Speaker 1: event and vendors sign up and this one particular vendor
- 0:42Speaker 1: waited till the last day to sign up online at
- 0:46Speaker 1: night after we're closed and had some difficulties. So the
- 0:51Speaker 1: next day the lady calls.
- 0:55Speaker 2: So this is a couple.
- 0:56Speaker 1: The lady calls and apparently.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Is a a.
- 1:01Speaker 1: I rate crazy bitch. I'm just gonna say it that way,
- 1:08Speaker 1: like off the chart. Apparently this is not from my experience.
- 1:13Speaker 1: This is being told to me from the person who
- 1:15Speaker 1: answered the phone. She wouldn't even let somebody explained to her,
- 1:22Speaker 1: what have a conversation. It wasn't about a conversation. It
- 1:25Speaker 1: was just about her calling and yelling at us because
- 1:28Speaker 1: she needed somebody to blame for whatever reason. So the person,
- 1:35Speaker 1: the first person who answered the phone and got this
- 1:37Speaker 1: lady was talking to me about it because I oversee
- 1:40Speaker 1: the whole vendor registration part, and so she's telling me
- 1:44Speaker 1: what's going on with that conversation. So while we're talking,
- 1:47Speaker 1: the lady calls back again and somebody else answers, and
- 1:52Speaker 1: the lady's going off on this person too, and she's like, okay,
- 1:55Speaker 1: I can just hear the side that I'm on right
- 1:57Speaker 1: in the office. It says, okay, well, let me get
- 2:00Speaker 1: your name and number and i'll i'll have somebody return
- 2:03Speaker 1: your call. And and she's you can you know how
- 2:06Speaker 1: you when somebody's on the other end just run in
- 2:08Speaker 1: their mouth and you're trying to get a word in edgeways.
- 2:12Speaker 1: And that's the side I'm hearing. So I'm like, okay,
- 2:15Speaker 1: here we go. So the one person's in my office,
- 2:20Speaker 1: we're talking about. The other person gets off the phone
- 2:22Speaker 1: and comes over. He's like, oh my god, right, she's
- 2:25Speaker 1: just fit to be tied to us. So I said,
- 2:28Speaker 1: all right, okay, two, this lady called and had two
- 2:34Speaker 1: completely different conversations with two different people that didn't even
- 2:40Speaker 1: the stories weren't even the same, Like it was two
- 2:43Speaker 1: completely different conversations. Okay, so with that, I said, all right,
- 2:47Speaker 1: you guys, I'm just gonna give it a little bit
- 2:50Speaker 1: and then maybe give her a minute to settle and
- 2:54Speaker 1: then I'll call her back. I'll take care of it.
- 2:56Speaker 1: It's not for you, guys take care of I'll take
- 2:58Speaker 1: care of it. So we all go about our our
- 3:02Speaker 1: thing and blah blah blah. Anyway, this is the best part.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Her husband came in just as night and I was
- 3:14Speaker 1: standing at the front. So when he was walking to
- 3:18Speaker 1: the door, one of the employees said, oh my god,
- 3:22Speaker 1: that's her husband, and I said, okay, so right, I
- 3:27Speaker 1: just take a breath before he walks in, and I'm
- 3:29Speaker 1: just like, okay, okay, I got this. We're good, we
- 3:34Speaker 1: got this. He came in and he was just the
- 3:38Speaker 1: nicest person. We got everything taken care of. We figured
- 3:43Speaker 1: out what the glitch was, and actually it was an
- 3:46Speaker 1: issue on their end because they had tried to use
- 3:49Speaker 1: a card online where they had moved and they hadn't
- 3:52Speaker 1: changed their address, so the addresses that they were putting
- 3:55Speaker 1: in the system and the address the credit card has
- 3:57Speaker 1: on file weren't matching up. So when let them sign up,
- 4:01Speaker 1: But they wanted to blame somebody the lady did wanted
- 4:04Speaker 1: to blame somebody, so she was targeting us. And so anyway,
- 4:09Speaker 1: I made that to us, brought that to his attention
- 4:11Speaker 1: because it comes up on our screen. He's like, oh
- 4:14Speaker 1: my gosh, I totally forgot. We didn't change the address.
- 4:17Speaker 1: I said, okay, well this is why you can't sign
- 4:19Speaker 1: up or couldn't sign up last night. Right. But it
- 4:23Speaker 1: was a very calm conversation. We laughed, we had we
- 4:26Speaker 1: got it taken care of it anyway, and I was
- 4:29Speaker 1: just thinking the entire time, I'm like, I'm doing pretty good.
- 4:34Speaker 1: I'm doing really good with my point of.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Attraction right now. This is awesome, which is so amazing, honestly, Amy,
- 4:42Speaker 2: when you think about this, because you ended up not
- 4:44Speaker 2: talking to the person on the phone at all because
- 4:48Speaker 2: you were not a vibrational frequency match. Pretty plain and simple,
- 4:52Speaker 2: plain and simple. And then you've got the husband that
- 4:54Speaker 2: comes in that can have the conversation. Yeah, he probably
- 4:58Speaker 2: didn't want to be at home listening to it anymore. Anyways,
- 5:00Speaker 2: when the universe was trying to let them know, hey,
- 5:03Speaker 2: you guys need to get this address corrected on this
- 5:05Speaker 2: built or on this credit card because you're not you're
- 5:07Speaker 2: going to get a bill and it's not going to
- 5:09Speaker 2: go to your house, and then you're gonna have all
- 5:10Speaker 2: kinds of other problems afterwards. So it's like such a
- 5:13Speaker 2: gentle way that the universe can present information to us
- 5:17Speaker 2: if we want to look at it that way, or
- 5:19Speaker 2: we can be like that person the other person in
- 5:21Speaker 2: losing our freaking mind. And and however she might have
- 5:26Speaker 2: made anybody else biel when when they talked to them
- 5:29Speaker 2: on the phone, because that's for their experience too. Hers
- 5:33Speaker 2: was much worse because she was dealing with all of
- 5:35Speaker 2: us insight. And that goes back to our conversation in
- 5:37Speaker 2: the last video about doing what feels good. And I
- 5:42Speaker 2: also know there there are times when you all of
- 5:45Speaker 2: a sudden, you're like this fricking snowball flying from the
- 5:50Speaker 2: top of the peak. You're grabbing a hold of people, buildings,
- 5:56Speaker 2: any and it's like you're taking them all. But it's like,
- 6:00Speaker 2: but it doesn't have to be that way, right.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Awesome, But I think about the two people at the
- 6:07Speaker 1: office who had those conversations, and their point of attraction
- 6:11Speaker 1: is one has the abuse background, the timid shy doesn't
- 6:19Speaker 1: know how to use her voice and so she would
- 6:22Speaker 1: attract that the other person is squirrelly. It's like squirrel brain.
- 6:28Speaker 1: She has some anger within her. She's got like all
- 6:31Speaker 1: these internal turmoils still rumbling around that she has an addressed.
- 6:37Speaker 1: And so she has this conversation and then this gentle
- 6:42Speaker 1: older gentleman comes in and we just laughed and it
- 6:46Speaker 1: was so easy, and I'm like, yes, this is so good.
- 6:50Speaker 1: This is so good for me.
- 6:52Speaker 2: So it's so awesome. It really is. That really is.
- 6:56Speaker 2: The whole process is pretty amazing.
- 6:58Speaker 1: This. I bring this up because if you want to
- 7:02Speaker 1: know where you're at with yourself, you can see this
- 7:06Speaker 1: through the people that you are interacting with. If you're
- 7:13Speaker 1: so prime example, if you're having a bad day, you
- 7:15Speaker 1: wake up in the morning, you stub your toe, and
- 7:17Speaker 1: then you decide the whole day is going to be shitty.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Notice the conversations and the people and the experiences you
- 7:24Speaker 1: have throughout the day. And when people say, oh, it's
- 7:26Speaker 1: just a horrible day, it's bad day, it's this, I'm like, no,
- 7:31Speaker 1: it was a moment. It doesn't define your whole day.
- 7:34Speaker 1: And I will tell people that out loud because it's
- 7:38Speaker 1: a reminder for me. I don't care if it registers
- 7:40Speaker 1: with them, it's a reminder for me. I'm like, no,
- 7:44Speaker 1: it was just a moment, and we're going to move
- 7:46Speaker 1: past this and it could be an amazing day the
- 7:48Speaker 1: rest of the day. That's what we're gonna make of it. Yeah,
- 7:52Speaker 1: let's let's let's shift gears and let's move forward now
- 7:56Speaker 1: with that, So.
- 7:59Speaker 2: Because we don't have to stay there, no hap in
- 8:01Speaker 2: the past we thought we had to stay there kind
- 8:04Speaker 2: of for so many things. Yesterday, I was stressing out.
- 8:07Speaker 2: I was stressing out. I was in a place of
- 8:09Speaker 2: fear change changing. It's like a cryptocurrency or whatever, going
- 8:17Speaker 2: from one platform to another platform in order to protect
- 8:20Speaker 2: your you're on a blank on the words doesn't even matter,
- 8:28Speaker 2: but to protect your money anyways, And it was like
- 8:33Speaker 2: I was really like I just couldn't do this. And
- 8:37Speaker 2: it's like We're having the conversation at home. It's like,
- 8:39Speaker 2: I'm gonna have to get used to this because this
- 8:41Speaker 2: is the way where things are all going to and
- 8:43Speaker 2: to me it gets a little bit scary. And he says, well,
- 8:45Speaker 2: that's the tourist party, and I didn't even I never
- 8:47Speaker 2: thought about that because tourists a Torrian doesn't like change typically,
- 8:52Speaker 2: and it's like I've been doing great with change. I mean, honestly,
- 8:55Speaker 2: I feel like I've been doing I've certainly improved. That
- 8:57Speaker 2: must have been something I wanted to come here and
- 8:59Speaker 2: overcome by being a tourist, honestly, because it seems like that,
- 9:03Speaker 2: and then being so bullheaded about things which I had
- 9:06Speaker 2: in my whole life, and you know, like putting your
- 9:08Speaker 2: foot down and not budging on things even when I
- 9:13Speaker 2: wasn't right, but I would find the loophole to make
- 9:15Speaker 2: myself right.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Let me just point out this real quick. Your birthday's
- 9:19Speaker 1: in May. That's a five, and you're fifty five, so
- 9:21Speaker 1: you have three fives this year, sister, this.
- 9:25Speaker 2: And my birthdays on the fifteenth. So it's like, right,
- 9:29Speaker 2: that's just the way it is all about change. It
- 9:31Speaker 2: really is a big ye of change. Oh gosh. And
- 9:35Speaker 2: then it's like for me, I'm leaving my work and
- 9:38Speaker 2: it's like part of me has all of a sudden,
- 9:40Speaker 2: it's like I know on the inside, this is what
- 9:43Speaker 2: I with a knowing, this is what I'm supposed to do.
- 9:46Speaker 2: And then and all of a sudden, my mind starts
- 9:48Speaker 2: to creep in and starts thinking about these things about worry.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Now we can go I can get caught up in
- 9:53Speaker 2: the worry and the fear of it, or I can
- 9:55Speaker 2: stand back for a second and notice this is coming forward,
- 9:58Speaker 2: because I can't keep moving forward with this fear. I
- 10:02Speaker 2: can't move forward with being afraid that things are going
- 10:06Speaker 2: to change. They're going to change. That's the way that
- 10:09Speaker 2: it is. That is a matter of fact. So it's
- 10:13Speaker 2: a whole process for me. Oh okay, because at first
- 10:16Speaker 2: I was like really wrapped up in it. Then I
- 10:19Speaker 2: shifted gears, and then I got a call from a
- 10:21Speaker 2: family member that I haven't talked to for a while,
- 10:24Speaker 2: and he had sent me a couple of pictures and
- 10:28Speaker 2: he said that he was moving boxes around and these
- 10:31Speaker 2: two pictures fell out and there was a picture of them,
- 10:34Speaker 2: him and his wife when they were very young and
- 10:39Speaker 2: then close to the time that she passed. And it's like,
- 10:41Speaker 2: I start looking at the picture of this person that's
- 10:46Speaker 2: my mom, and I as her younger self. She probably was,
- 10:51Speaker 2: I don't know, maybe she's only seventeen young years older
- 10:55Speaker 2: than me. And it's like, and she was probably in
- 10:58Speaker 2: her twenties at this point. You know, she's young, she's
- 11:02Speaker 2: young gosh, like probably maybe mid twenties or so. And
- 11:06Speaker 2: I'm looking at her and I'm seeing all these things
- 11:09Speaker 2: that we were talking about in the last video. I'm
- 11:10Speaker 2: seeing the fear and I'm seeing the worry, and I'm asking.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Because Freeman can look at images of people and pick
- 11:16Speaker 2: up a lot of information too, I know what I
- 11:19Speaker 2: initially got, and I asked him to kind of take
- 11:21Speaker 2: a look at it, and it's it's fascinating to see
- 11:23Speaker 2: all this stuff. It's not from a victim standpoint, like, oh, gosh,
- 11:27Speaker 2: you know she was doing all this stuff and now
- 11:29Speaker 2: that's why I'm dealing with all this stuff. No, it's
- 11:31Speaker 2: recognizing when we process that. So even like the last video,
- 11:36Speaker 2: if we're going to love ourselves more, we really have
- 11:39Speaker 2: to go within and start asking those questions. Because as
- 11:41Speaker 2: we start processing a lot of this stuff, it's not
- 11:44Speaker 2: stuff for me to blame anybody else. But it's like
- 11:48Speaker 2: we learn that from those people because they'll say you
- 11:52Speaker 2: need to do as I say, not as I do.
- 11:54Speaker 2: But we always recognize the energy. We always we always
- 11:58Speaker 2: moved forward from that space, and so it's like it's
- 12:02Speaker 2: really looking at a lot of that space and thinking, oh,
- 12:05Speaker 2: I've been doing this my whole life. I don't have
- 12:06Speaker 2: to do this anymore. It's like that easy. It's just
- 12:09Speaker 2: recognizing it that how easy is for us to let
- 12:12Speaker 2: things go and then wait a minute, Okay, I recognize it,
- 12:15Speaker 2: But how can I move forward and it be easier?
- 12:19Speaker 2: How can it be different than this? And that's where
- 12:21Speaker 2: we've kind of been talking about this a lot. I
- 12:23Speaker 2: think the last few recordings is really taking a look
- 12:26Speaker 2: at there's we have so much that's presented to us.
- 12:29Speaker 2: We have people that are around us, we have songs
- 12:32Speaker 2: that kind of present different information to you that we
- 12:34Speaker 2: have an opportunity to change. There is so much information
- 12:37Speaker 2: on the internet these days, platforms that are all over
- 12:40Speaker 2: the place that you can gather information, like you could
- 12:43Speaker 2: go into chat, GBT, grock or whatever AI that you
- 12:47Speaker 2: wanted to use. And I'm not promoting any of that stuff,
- 12:50Speaker 2: but I'm saying that there's it can present different ideas
- 12:54Speaker 2: of Okay, this is the way that I'm operating things
- 12:57Speaker 2: right now. Let's just say I do this with my grandson,
- 13:01Speaker 2: but he doesn't. He's passed it all now and I
- 13:04Speaker 2: got to learn how to evolve from this and where
- 13:06Speaker 2: can I go to I can type it in there.
- 13:08Speaker 2: I can I can say, hey, how what can I
- 13:11Speaker 2: do that's more beneficial with my grandchildren at these ages?
- 13:15Speaker 2: Or I can go in and type it into YouTube.
- 13:17Speaker 2: I can type it into TikTok. I can go anywhere,
- 13:21Speaker 2: and there's a different perspective everywhere. So with all that
- 13:25Speaker 2: being said, we don't have to stay in the same
- 13:27Speaker 2: place that we've been staying. And really there's more avenues
- 13:31Speaker 2: that we can go on to that can change everything
- 13:34Speaker 2: for us. And that's why I love having perspectives. That's
- 13:38Speaker 2: why I love having our conversations. That's why I like
- 13:41Speaker 2: seeing the people that I see. It's just there's so
- 13:44Speaker 2: much information that comes forward that we can gain in
- 13:47Speaker 2: that moment. That's for both of us, but it's both
- 13:49Speaker 2: parties that are paying attention. It's for whoever wants to
- 13:51Speaker 2: listen to our conversations. When we have these conversations, it's
- 13:55Speaker 2: it's pretty awesome that we have all these opportunities for
- 13:58Speaker 2: growth and change. Otherwise, as I could have stayed stuck
- 14:01Speaker 2: in my own ways and continue going forward because I
- 14:04Speaker 2: felt like I was right. I felt like I was right,
- 14:06Speaker 2: And now when I look back at that person that
- 14:08Speaker 2: thought she was right, she wasn't right. She was stopping
- 14:11Speaker 2: the flow of everything coming to her because she was
- 14:14Speaker 2: she knew, she knew, so there was no reason for
- 14:17Speaker 2: any other information to come forward.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Yep. And when we take when we have tunnel vision
- 14:28Speaker 1: about and get so focused about being right and we
- 14:31Speaker 1: have to blame somebody else for our demise, it shuts
- 14:35Speaker 1: us off from any any growth, and it shuts us
- 14:39Speaker 1: off from seeing the world differently, seeing your past, your
- 14:45Speaker 1: history differently. When I started looking at my history different
- 14:49Speaker 1: that's where the growth started to happen. And if you
- 14:53Speaker 1: put the blinders on, you won't be able to do
- 14:56Speaker 1: any of that. It's they did this to me. This
- 15:00Speaker 1: is why I am the way I am. There's no
- 15:02Speaker 1: point of trying to change, or there's no possibility of
- 15:06Speaker 1: me changing. But really, where as BEV said, change is
- 15:11Speaker 1: going to happen. It's whether you're allowing it to or not.
- 15:15Speaker 1: You're the one stopping the change, not anybody else. And
- 15:19Speaker 1: fear will keep you from changing, The unknown will keep
- 15:23Speaker 1: you from changing, The heavy emotional states of being will
- 15:27Speaker 1: keep you from changing, and you just feel stuck. And
- 15:31Speaker 1: until you can allow yourself to open up to other perspectives.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Like Bev was talking about, we come together. Her and
- 15:38Speaker 1: I live almost parallel experiences, and we don't talk about
- 15:43Speaker 1: this in between recordings. We show up and we start
- 15:45Speaker 1: having a Conversation's like, oh my gosh, me too. And
- 15:50Speaker 1: so give yourself the opportunity to open up to different
- 15:56Speaker 1: perspectives and listen to other ideas and then see what resonates.
- 16:02Speaker 1: So that's what I've been doing my entire transformational journey.
- 16:07Speaker 2: I'll read a.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Book, listen to a podcast, listen to an inspirational speaker.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Whether it's in spirituality or business, doesn't matter, And I
- 16:15Speaker 1: take what resonates doesn't mean their whole presentation or the
- 16:20Speaker 1: entire book makes sense, or that I get it or
- 16:24Speaker 1: that I like it. It means there was a piece
- 16:26Speaker 1: of it that got my attention in the moment with
- 16:29Speaker 1: where I was with myself, that said I need that.
- 16:34Speaker 1: I needed that piece of information. So I do just
- 16:37Speaker 1: a little bit of a tweak within myself, and then
- 16:41Speaker 1: I could read that same book, listen to that same podcast,
- 16:44Speaker 1: listen to the same influencers, exact same speeches, exact same
- 16:49Speaker 1: words in the book, and hears something totally different where
- 16:52Speaker 1: I go, oh, that wasn't in there the first time.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Somebody rewrote this but it's a different edition. But no,
- 16:58Speaker 1: the book's been sitting on my shelf and it's just
- 17:01Speaker 1: because I'm a different space with myself to receive some
- 17:04Speaker 1: more information. So it's a continuous evolution process with yourself
- 17:09Speaker 1: when it comes to change, and it's up to you
- 17:12Speaker 1: to have that ability to be open to it. And
- 17:19Speaker 1: that's on you. That's not on me or Bet or
- 17:21Speaker 1: anybody else. It's on you to do that for yourself.
- 17:25Speaker 1: So before we wrap up any final.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Thoughts, well, I've said it before, but stay open. It's
- 17:32Speaker 2: be open to the information that's coming to you because
- 17:35Speaker 2: there's a reason it's showing up. And if it triggers you,
- 17:38Speaker 2: like I was triggered yesterday about all this move stuff,
- 17:40Speaker 2: stop for a second, take a breath, and then check
- 17:43Speaker 2: in with yourself like what's why is this affecting me
- 17:45Speaker 2: this way? How can I do? How can I have
- 17:48Speaker 2: more faith and trust? Yeah?
- 17:54Speaker 1: Absolutely, I just.
- 17:55Speaker 2: Had to make a notice something real quick. Thank you
- 17:58Speaker 2: for that.
- 17:59Speaker 1: So other people are having these conversations and they're looking
- 18:03Speaker 1: for resources, So be resourceful. Share this video, share those links,
- 18:07Speaker 1: Share whether it's us or anybody else. This is why
- 18:11Speaker 1: we all come together and do these podcasts, so that
- 18:13Speaker 1: the information can show up when you're ready, when you
- 18:16Speaker 1: need it, when you desire it, when you're asking the
- 18:19Speaker 1: internal questions. And again it's whether it's us or any
- 18:23Speaker 1: other podcast, book, influencer, whatever it might be, whatever the
- 18:28Speaker 1: resource is, and when you find something that works for you,
- 18:31Speaker 1: then you be resourceful and you share that information and
