- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to Bill Handle on demand from KFI AM
- 0:04Speaker 1: six fortys.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Oh.
- 0:11Speaker 3: By the way, you know, I call lawyers scumbags, but
- 0:15Speaker 3: in reality they are all of them, especially me, not
- 0:20Speaker 3: just including me, especially me.
- 0:22Speaker 1: And now handle on the news, ladies and gentlemen. Here's
- 0:27Speaker 1: Bill Handle.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Good morning, everybody. Handle here on a Wednesday morning, Hunt.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Day Wednesday, which means Jim can you'll be with us
- 0:42Speaker 3: and let me brickly say hello to one and all
- 0:44Speaker 3: and some big news up breaking in the world of
- 0:49Speaker 3: radio Amy. Wearing your Dodgers shirt. Hello, a double Dodger shirt.
- 0:54Speaker 4: Double Dodgers going to the game today.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Double Dodgers. The jersey under which there is a T shirt.
- 1:01Speaker 3: We won't go beyond that.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Okay, Yes, there's no Dodgers bra. Yes, do they even
- 1:07Speaker 2: have a Dodgers bra or Dodgers underwear?
- 1:09Speaker 4: I would imagine you could find it if you look
- 1:11Speaker 4: for it, but I have not experienced that.
- 1:13Speaker 3: I'll bet you could probably find No, you couldn't because
- 1:15Speaker 3: the Dodgers would file restraining orders. So someone came out
- 1:18Speaker 3: with Dodger underwear, it would be for guys.
- 1:21Speaker 2: It would be boxer shorts. Yeah, yeah, I'm sure you
- 1:25Speaker 2: can find it on.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm sure, I'm sure, and I'm surprised that they're
- 1:30Speaker 3: probably all lawsuits and restraining orders all over the place. Cono,
- 1:34Speaker 3: good morning, good morning, And there is Will Coleschreiber, Good morning.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Who is that on your T shirt? It's BUCkies, Bucky.
- 1:44Speaker 2: If you've ever driven in the South and you haven't
- 1:45Speaker 2: stopped at a BUCkies, you're missing out. What's BUCkies? It's like
- 1:48Speaker 2: it's like a seven or eleven on steroids.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Okay, very fucking excellent, Okay, yeah, goome on you, Neil, Hey,
- 2:00Speaker 3: and there is we have everybody, and there's and there
- 2:03Speaker 3: and I think the whole team is there money.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Okay. We got the news yesterday.
- 2:08Speaker 3: I'm assuming it's already news out there that K and
- 2:11Speaker 3: X is getting rid of its FM station. It's public knowledge,
- 2:15Speaker 3: I'm assuming, right, Neil, Yeah, okay, right, Okay. So k
- 2:20Speaker 3: and X, which is the all news station, is flipping
- 2:24Speaker 3: its FM because they simulcast FM ninety seven one as
- 2:28Speaker 3: well as ten to seventy on the AM dial, and
- 2:31Speaker 3: so ninety seven one is their FM and they simulcast,
- 2:34Speaker 3: as I said, and so they compete against us. Basically,
- 2:38Speaker 3: it's the same demo and it's all news. And it was.
- 2:43Speaker 3: When they went all news, it cannibalized us. I mean,
- 2:46Speaker 3: there's no question about it. But they gave up the
- 2:50Speaker 3: the FM part of it to become a sports station.
- 2:55Speaker 3: So what we're going to do in reference in I
- 2:59Speaker 3: won't say we're telling you, but in opposition to them,
- 3:02Speaker 3: we are going to have every day a sports hour.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Hey, how about them Dodgers? What do you think?
- 3:09Speaker 4: Oh?
- 3:10Speaker 3: Kno, quit clapping. It's not going to happen. Okay, no,
- 3:13Speaker 3: it is not gonna happen. How many times can you
- 3:16Speaker 3: hear me say, hey, how about them Dodgers?
- 3:18Speaker 2: But there's also Lakers right now? Oh yeah, it's true too.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Yeah, Petro Sponts asked me, Petro spons I know, I
- 3:26Speaker 3: don't know, because it's just it's new. It's radio news,
- 3:29Speaker 3: a little inside baseball, oh inside baseball. And Petro Sws
- 3:33Speaker 3: asked me who my favorite football players were, and I
- 3:37Speaker 3: said Jim Thorpe was one, he played baseball and football,
- 3:44Speaker 3: and y A Tittle and Johnny Unitas and he goes,
- 3:47Speaker 3: they're all dead and they all died forty years ago.
- 3:51Speaker 2: I go, yeah, that's true. True, Okay, so we won't
- 3:55Speaker 2: be doing we will not be doing sports.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Oh.
- 3:58Speaker 2: I do have a story.
- 4:00Speaker 3: At one point in my life before I came to KFI,
- 4:03Speaker 3: I was over at KBC, and KBC was the heritage
- 4:07Speaker 3: station at that time, much like KFI has become the
- 4:10Speaker 3: heritage station here in Los Angeles. And they carried the
- 4:14Speaker 3: Dodgers and they had sports talk where before and after
- 4:19Speaker 3: the show or after the game. They would basically become
- 4:24Speaker 3: a sports station for that day, for the Dodgers day,
- 4:29Speaker 3: and they would it.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Was five hours, like three.
- 4:31Speaker 3: At six hours, three hours before, three hours after the game.
- 4:35Speaker 3: And I remember they took phone calls and there was
- 4:39Speaker 3: a guy who had been waiting. It was Collins on
- 4:44Speaker 3: this and there was a guy who had been waiting
- 4:46Speaker 3: for almost three hours on hold to get on to
- 4:52Speaker 3: the air for an opinion or for a question. And
- 4:57Speaker 3: so the guest, the host of the show, I said, Okay,
- 5:02Speaker 3: let's go to some Hispanic guy, Jose or whatever. And Jose,
- 5:07Speaker 3: you've been waiting waiting on all almost three hours on hold,
- 5:11Speaker 3: So what do you have to say?
- 5:13Speaker 2: What's your question? Go Dodgers? And he hung up.
- 5:18Speaker 3: I go, there's a guy who has a life, okay,
- 5:22Speaker 3: and we're gonna do the same thing with sports talk
- 5:25Speaker 3: every day for our hour. Okay, I wonder if that's
- 5:29Speaker 3: going to go in the trades. Probably not, all right, guys,
- 5:35Speaker 3: I was about to ask who your favorite ballplayer is,
- 5:37Speaker 3: but I'm not going to.
- 5:39Speaker 2: I'm not going to.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Do you know who your favorite favorite curling champion is
- 5:44Speaker 3: in the Winter Olympics. I'll see you see you know
- 5:48Speaker 3: you guys aren't sports people.
- 5:49Speaker 2: You aren't. You have a stack of news stories in
- 5:51Speaker 2: front of you. No, no, no, ann go.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Okay, you guys, ready to do it? A little bit
- 5:58Speaker 3: of news. This is why I am pretty the show.
- 6:00Speaker 3: She tells me what to do, yes dear. You know
- 6:03Speaker 3: there's so many yes DearS in my life. I can't
- 6:05Speaker 3: begin to tell you. I must do yes DearS twenty
- 6:09Speaker 3: five times a.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Day, like they put a mic in front of you
- 6:11Speaker 2: in the home. Where's my jello? Okay, there's radios changing.
- 6:18Speaker 3: Okay, let's do it, guys, Time for handle on the news,
- 6:23Speaker 3: Amy Neil and me lead story.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Well, the debate was last night. Everybody attacking everybody else.
- 6:31Speaker 3: And what's really sweating the Democrats is the fact that
- 6:36Speaker 3: number one Steve Hilton, former Fox News host, is ahead
- 6:42Speaker 3: of everybody else, not by a huge amount, but because
- 6:47Speaker 3: the Democrats are cannibalizing each other and if some of
- 6:51Speaker 3: them don't drop out, a Republican is going to be
- 6:54Speaker 3: the next governor. And here's the question, since he is
- 7:00Speaker 3: a former Fox News host, what cabinet post do you
- 7:03Speaker 3: think he's going to get?
- 7:07Speaker 2: Okay? Moving on?
- 7:09Speaker 3: And they attacked each other like crazy and homelessness, I mean,
- 7:12Speaker 3: the normal stuff.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Did you watch I watched part of it.
- 7:15Speaker 4: It was did you watch the part that Julie Watts
- 7:18Speaker 4: was the moderator for? I know, I did not, So
- 7:21Speaker 4: she's she's the reporter who talked to Katie Porter that
- 7:25Speaker 4: really kind of remember when she had her melt down
- 7:27Speaker 4: and said I'm not doing this interview and walked out
- 7:29Speaker 4: or threatened to walk out. So Julie Watts is that reporter.
- 7:34Speaker 4: And she was the moderator for thirty minutes of the
- 7:36Speaker 4: debate and then right in the middle she was on
- 7:39Speaker 4: fire like calling the candidates out, Hey, you didn't answer
- 7:43Speaker 4: the question. Hey, I'm not afraid I'm going to cut
- 7:45Speaker 4: your mic if you keep talking over each other. And
- 7:48Speaker 4: apparently she I know she It was really interesting. It
- 7:52Speaker 4: was the Julie Show. For that part of it. But
- 7:54Speaker 4: I thought it was interesting that she did longer interviews
- 7:57Speaker 4: with all of the candidates and they're posted on our
- 8:00Speaker 4: website somewhere that I'm like, I think I want to
- 8:02Speaker 4: watch because I want to like get longer answers. I
- 8:05Speaker 4: want to know what these candidates were actually are.
- 8:07Speaker 2: About and what they should do.
- 8:10Speaker 3: The moderator should have an off button that when the
- 8:13Speaker 3: thirty seconds is up, you have thirty seconds cut them
- 8:17Speaker 3: off mid stream, right there. I moderated one one political
- 8:23Speaker 3: debate and it was Brad Sherman against someone who was
- 8:28Speaker 3: running against for Congress. Brad Sherman is still there, and
- 8:31Speaker 3: I brought an airhorn with me, you know the ones
- 8:36Speaker 3: that you have the canned of compass there or yeah,
- 8:40Speaker 3: And what would happen when they hit their thirty seconds?
- 8:43Speaker 2: I would just you know, they did what they were
- 8:46Speaker 2: supposed to do, But no one has the balls to
- 8:49Speaker 2: do that.
- 8:50Speaker 5: Have one of those timers, like at a hotel bathroom
- 8:53Speaker 5: or something where the lights shut off, have a certain
- 8:55Speaker 5: amount of time.
- 8:57Speaker 2: All right.
- 8:58Speaker 5: Since sending the major bus campaign on April seven and
- 9:03Speaker 5: the ceasefire, Trump is kind of walked back from escalating
- 9:07Speaker 5: the conflict opening up a space for talks and everything
- 9:11Speaker 5: like that.
- 9:11Speaker 2: But I think he did miss I think he missed
- 9:14Speaker 2: Amy Mamy's story about it. That's okay, he can do
- 9:16Speaker 2: his and then I'll do mine. Oh sorry about that.
- 9:18Speaker 5: A right, go ahead do your koto threatening to destroy
- 9:22Speaker 5: entire Iranian civilization. But uh he on Monday, he uh
- 9:29Speaker 5: Trump Aids told or he told his Trump aids that
- 9:33Speaker 5: they have a three step offer to open the Straits
- 9:36Speaker 5: of Hormuz save nuclear talks from the final phase because
- 9:42Speaker 5: Tehran was not negotiating in good faith.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Yeah, that's I mean, Tehran is They're they're just sitting back.
- 9:49Speaker 3: Uh. The uh, the administration and many people thought that
- 9:53Speaker 3: the attack, the second attack on Iran by the United
- 9:56Speaker 3: States would just shut down Iran.
- 9:59Speaker 2: And then the.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Interestingly enough, not enough, not too many people said that
- 10:03Speaker 3: Iran has the power to shut down the Strait of Hormuz.
- 10:06Speaker 3: That was not in the planning. And when Iran did,
- 10:09Speaker 3: and now it's the standstill. As oil prices are exploding,
- 10:14Speaker 3: as the price of fertilizers going to get up, you're
- 10:17Speaker 3: going to go through the roof.
- 10:19Speaker 2: It is going to be very very tough.
- 10:21Speaker 3: And I don't and I think the president is stuck
- 10:23Speaker 3: between a rock and a hard place, and the administration
- 10:26Speaker 3: doesn't know which way to turn, and it's now a
- 10:29Speaker 3: hard place, pardon Iran, and a hard place. Yeah, a
- 10:33Speaker 3: hard rock and a hard place. Uh, you know what,
- 10:37Speaker 3: that's very good. That's very good. I wish I had
- 10:41Speaker 3: said that, you don't do me a favor. If you
- 10:44Speaker 3: have anything that clever, pass it to Kono and then
- 10:49Speaker 3: Kono will tell me that line during on my headset
- 10:53Speaker 3: so I can take credit for it. I hate, okay,
- 10:55Speaker 3: I hate when you guys are that clever.
- 10:58Speaker 4: Mickey Mouse, respect quest from the FCC. The Federal Communications
- 11:03Speaker 4: Commission is issued an order directing Disney's TV stations to
- 11:08Speaker 4: file their broadcast licensed renewals ahead of schedule. They're not
- 11:11Speaker 4: up for renewal until twenty twenty eight, but now the
- 11:14Speaker 4: FCC says they want those applications in by This may
- 11:19Speaker 4: apparently tied to a year long investigation into Disney's DEI practices.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Right, that's right, Yes, it got fast tracked after Jimmy
- 11:29Speaker 2: Kimmel made a joke about Malania Trump. Right, interesting timing.
- 11:33Speaker 3: Yeah, And if you make a joke about a president,
- 11:36Speaker 3: certainly his wife and even I believe his allies. Then
- 11:42Speaker 3: what happens is the government is just put uses its
- 11:46Speaker 3: power to nail you. And Trump is insisting in Milania,
- 11:50Speaker 3: insisting that kim will get fired straight out because what
- 11:54Speaker 3: he said was so horrific. There's most of the thing
- 11:58Speaker 3: as a First Amendment, as far as this administration is concerned,
- 12:01Speaker 3: doesn't exist.
- 12:03Speaker 2: And it's just crazy. Now. The good news is the
- 12:06Speaker 2: new Disney CEO is saying, not a chance.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Disney did cave the last time around and suspended Jimmy
- 12:14Speaker 3: Kimmel when Kimmel, Uh, I wouldn't say made a joke.
- 12:18Speaker 3: I guess he did make a joke about Charlie Kirk
- 12:21Speaker 3: or an untoward statement. But you don't lose your license
- 12:24Speaker 3: for that, you know, you really don't. And how does
- 12:27Speaker 3: a network suspend someone for doing that for bad taste?
- 12:33Speaker 5: I don't know. You you say things that are horrible.
- 12:36Speaker 5: Bill Handle on KFI says horrible things about the government
- 12:40Speaker 5: and Trump. Bill Handle heard here six to nine am.
- 12:44Speaker 4: Money.
- 12:44Speaker 5: I'm just not I can't imagine them coming after Bill
- 12:47Speaker 5: Handle who says horrible things about Trump.
- 12:51Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I do, I do, and I'm not on
- 12:54Speaker 3: the radar I'm not on the radar.
- 12:57Speaker 2: That's not even American citizen.
- 12:58Speaker 5: Really when you find out hates America, Bill Handle, Yeah,
- 13:04Speaker 5: six to nine.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Thank you very much.
- 13:06Speaker 3: On KF try yeah on KFI more stimulating talk radio.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Right, I know I'm not on the radar. And how
- 13:15Speaker 2: many local toxics Bill Handles not on the radar to Trump?
- 13:19Speaker 2: Trump president?
- 13:23Speaker 3: Okay, you know what we should record that, which we
- 13:25Speaker 3: did and just send that in. I'll tell you one thing,
- 13:30Speaker 3: if you know, I make a lot of fun of
- 13:34Speaker 3: iHeart a lot, as you know, but knowing of not
- 13:39Speaker 3: that I am friends with Bob Pittman and wrestler who
- 13:44Speaker 3: run iHeart. But I know enough about them where if
- 13:48Speaker 3: any host or any DJ in the system was that
- 13:54Speaker 3: ABC or excuse me, the Trump administration threatened to fire
- 13:58Speaker 3: them or licensed would be at risk. I believe that
- 14:03Speaker 3: the iHeart management would just tell the government you can
- 14:06Speaker 3: go stuff it, which is exactly what Disney is doing.
- 14:10Speaker 2: It's a big issue. It is a big issue to
- 14:12Speaker 2: find that out, Bill Handle. Okay, excellent, Thank you so much.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Does anybody think that Neil has not yet made his point?
- 14:21Speaker 2: No, Bill Handle six to nine. Okay, here's another one. Uh, Neil,
- 14:28Speaker 2: except it's still my turn. It's still I screwed up,
- 14:31Speaker 2: So it's still in Okay, go ahead.
- 14:33Speaker 4: Sky high prices at the pump. US gas prices have
- 14:35Speaker 4: hit a new record since the start of the war
- 14:39Speaker 4: with Iran and a four year high four to twenty
- 14:41Speaker 4: three a gallon on Wednesday. That's nationally, of course. I
- 14:45Speaker 4: think I'm paying six something six point fifty a gallon
- 14:50Speaker 4: last time I filled up. Oil prices have surged higher
- 14:53Speaker 4: over the past week because of the dual blockade by
- 14:56Speaker 4: the US and Iran. In this strait of horror, Moves
- 15:00Speaker 4: says the key check or choke point for getting oil
- 15:03Speaker 4: in and out of the Persian Gulf.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Yeah, are we hearing anymore that oil prices or gasoline
- 15:10Speaker 3: prices are going to be cut in half, that they're
- 15:14Speaker 3: going to go down?
- 15:15Speaker 2: Oh?
- 15:15Speaker 3: I can't say that. Sorry about that. Gas prices have decreased.
- 15:22Speaker 3: You may think they're not, but they have. Am I
- 15:26Speaker 3: going to get fired for that one?
- 15:28Speaker 4: Oh?
- 15:29Speaker 2: I don't know either. Oh, here's a.
- 15:31Speaker 5: Post a photo that seems to be working. Former FBI
- 15:35Speaker 5: director James B. Comey has been indicted on allegations that
- 15:39Speaker 5: a photo he posted on social media back in twenty
- 15:42Speaker 5: twenty five, You remember the the one with the eighty
- 15:44Speaker 5: six forty seven written, Yeah, yeah, there were shells on
- 15:48Speaker 5: the beach, right and so eighty six, which you know
- 15:53Speaker 5: they use that in restaurants to mean we're all out
- 15:56Speaker 5: of or done with. But they say the government is
- 16:02Speaker 5: saying that it can also be slang for killing a person. Yeah,
- 16:07Speaker 5: and no, not just it could be slang. It is
- 16:10Speaker 5: a threat out and out.
- 16:13Speaker 3: Eighty six forty seven is a threat against the president
- 16:16Speaker 3: of the United States, that Komy intended to argue that
- 16:21Speaker 3: the president should be killed and threaten the president. This
- 16:24Speaker 3: is how insane this has gotten. They got an indictment
- 16:28Speaker 3: to do this. Yeah, they got an indictment. Well, he
- 16:30Speaker 3: says he just ran across it and he posted it.
- 16:32Speaker 3: I have no idea whether he ran across it or
- 16:34Speaker 3: put it up or did the shells himself. But to
- 16:37Speaker 3: argue eighty six forty seven is a threat to kill
- 16:42Speaker 3: the president of the United States is insanity. And so
- 16:47Speaker 3: there's a arrest. There's an arrest warrant against Komy. He
- 16:51Speaker 3: has not yet been arrested. There's just a warrant out
- 16:54Speaker 3: and I think they're negotiating where he can turn himself in.
- 16:57Speaker 3: I would love it if they went out and simply
- 17:00Speaker 3: rested him, threw him in handcuffs and hauled him in.
- 17:04Speaker 2: Uh. And it's and maybe the maybe.
- 17:07Speaker 3: Uh, the prosecutor would argue no bail because he's such
- 17:10Speaker 3: a threat. He's a threat flight or a threat of.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Oh, a physical threat. I mean, it's this has gotten insane.
- 17:22Speaker 3: Can you imagine going in front of a jury and
- 17:24Speaker 3: arguing eighty six means it is the threat to kill
- 17:29Speaker 3: the president. So if I post let's get rid of
- 17:33Speaker 3: the president, that's a threat to kill him anything that
- 17:39Speaker 3: It's just it's beyond insane. You know, every single prosecutor,
- 17:46Speaker 3: every single expert that was interviewed by everybody said this.
- 17:50Speaker 3: This is just crazy. This makes no sense whatsoever. It
- 17:54Speaker 3: doesn't stop though, it doesn't stop, all right.
- 18:00Speaker 4: Dismissed. A federal judge has dismissed a US Department of
- 18:05Speaker 4: Justice lawsuit against Arizona. It was seeking access to the
- 18:10Speaker 4: state's detailed voter records. US District Judge Susan Bernovich, who
- 18:17Speaker 4: was appointed by President Trump, wrote that Arizona's statewide voter
- 18:21Speaker 4: registration list is not a document subject to request by
- 18:24Speaker 4: the attorney general under federal law. She dismissed the lawsuit
- 18:28Speaker 4: with prejudice because she wrote an amendment would be legally futile.
- 18:34Speaker 3: This is another move by the administration when the judge
- 18:39Speaker 3: wrote that it would be legally futile. The constitution specifically
- 18:45Speaker 3: says all voting is relegated to the states. That's it,
- 18:49Speaker 3: real simple. The states control the voting. There's that pesky
- 18:54Speaker 3: constitution again. That's just getting in the way, isn't it.
- 18:58Speaker 3: It's just that drives you nuts. With prejudice means they're
- 19:01Speaker 3: not coming back now. Every single time that there was
- 19:07Speaker 3: a request by the government for this information by states
- 19:12Speaker 3: and a lawsuit was filed, the judge said, you can't
- 19:16Speaker 3: go forward. The states are not required to turn over
- 19:21Speaker 3: that information. Now, red states are doing it voluntarily. The
- 19:27Speaker 3: government wants it, we're giving it to them. And we're
- 19:29Speaker 3: talking about Alaska, Arkansas, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, on and on.
- 19:34Speaker 3: We got thirteen red states that are saying, oh, if
- 19:37Speaker 3: they want our information, we're giving our information out, which
- 19:40Speaker 3: they can do.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Because it's a state issue. So that's probably going to
- 19:45Speaker 2: be appilled.
- 19:46Speaker 3: That's going to go up, but it's not going to
- 19:48Speaker 3: pass constitutional muster.
- 19:50Speaker 2: There's no way.
- 19:52Speaker 5: All right here in Westminster, California, street signs are going up.
- 19:57Speaker 5: They're in Orange County honoring Slaye Lane rather political activist
- 20:01Speaker 5: Charlie Kirk. Mixed reactions obviously somewhat to honor Kirk. There's
- 20:07Speaker 5: others that are divided by the conservative activism. The city
- 20:12Speaker 5: council decided to rename a street after the slain conservative activists.
- 20:18Speaker 5: Also October fourteenth, which is Kirk's birthday, as Charlie Kirk.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Day, right, and remember that they're bringing back that song.
- 20:26Speaker 3: I think it was the Monkeys the last train to Kirksville.
- 20:31Speaker 3: That's coming back in a big, big way. You're going
- 20:34Speaker 3: to get a street named after you, Psycho path. Yeah, oh,
- 20:37Speaker 3: that's another one that's you, and that's and Amy.
- 20:43Speaker 2: I'm tired of you guys being more clever than I am.
- 20:45Speaker 2: I'm sick of it. We get together before the show
- 20:48Speaker 2: and write a bunch of singers.
- 20:49Speaker 3: Yeah you do so, Charlie Kirkway, I just now the
- 20:54Speaker 3: Vietnamese community are going to do this, and maybe you know,
- 20:57Speaker 3: they may even change the name of the city completely
- 21:00Speaker 3: to Kirkland.
- 21:02Speaker 2: I have no idea you would like it then Kirkland.
- 21:07Speaker 3: Oh, very strong, also up north out in Seattle, although
- 21:12Speaker 3: Washington would probably not do it.
- 21:14Speaker 2: I can't imagine many towns in Washington that.
- 21:16Speaker 3: Would go to Kirkland, like oh, I understand, yeah, Costco Kirkland, Yeah.
- 21:22Speaker 2: And that effect.
- 21:22Speaker 3: It's so liberal in Washington's with some of the liberal states,
- 21:26Speaker 3: they may even get rid of the Kirkland brand.
- 21:32Speaker 4: The UAE is getting out the United Arab Emirates, one
- 21:38Speaker 4: of the largest oil producers in the world, is leaving OPEK,
- 21:43Speaker 4: and they're not wasting any time in leaving. They're leaving
- 21:45Speaker 4: May first. The decision, according to the UAE, reflects their
- 21:51Speaker 4: long term strategic and economic vision and evolving energy profile.
- 21:57Speaker 4: This move is likely to be seen as a strategic
- 21:59Speaker 4: win for President Trump, who's repeatedly accused OPEK of manipulating
- 22:04Speaker 4: oil prices and ripping off the US.
- 22:07Speaker 2: He's absolutely right. OPEK has way too much power.
- 22:11Speaker 3: They determine basically the price of oil by deciding how
- 22:16Speaker 3: much oil to produce, because they can either increase or
- 22:20Speaker 3: decrease the amount of oil.
- 22:22Speaker 2: And it's been long held that.
- 22:24Speaker 3: The world is at their mercy and the president is
- 22:28Speaker 3: absolutely right.
- 22:30Speaker 4: So how come if this can be seen as a
- 22:33Speaker 4: good thing, kind of breaking up that cartel. Why did
- 22:37Speaker 4: it make gas prices go up?
- 22:39Speaker 2: Oh it didn't, No, it did.
- 22:41Speaker 4: Yeah, prices are up four.
- 22:43Speaker 2: And a half or yeah.
- 22:44Speaker 3: But that's because the straight of her moves. That's all that.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Nothing else. This As a matter of fact, if it
- 22:49Speaker 3: weren't for the straight of her moves, prices a gas
- 22:51Speaker 3: would probably go down because it takes away the power
- 22:55Speaker 3: of OPEK because they control most of the oil, the
- 22:58Speaker 3: vast majority of the oil in the world, and they
- 23:00Speaker 3: act as one source of oil. They work in combination
- 23:05Speaker 3: with each other, and so when it comes to oil,
- 23:07Speaker 3: they're all. It's basically one country when it comes to
- 23:10Speaker 3: oil production. Its collusion is what it is. It's absolute.
- 23:14Speaker 3: In the United States it would be antitrust, which of
- 23:17Speaker 3: course it is not.
- 23:18Speaker 2: They can do whatever they want. But I think the
- 23:22Speaker 2: President made a good move on this one. I really
- 23:24Speaker 2: do all right.
- 23:26Speaker 5: Monks and Mariwana, Sri Lanka authorities said twenty two Buddhist
- 23:32Speaker 5: monks were arrested for possession of over one hundred and
- 23:35Speaker 5: ten kilos of cannabis, which is illegal in the South
- 23:42Speaker 5: Asian nation. So this was at the International Airport of
- 23:47Speaker 5: the capital Colombo, largest ever drug bust at the terminal.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Yeah, monks, I mean, you don't expect monks.
- 23:57Speaker 4: To explains why they're so chill, It's true.
- 24:00Speaker 5: And yeah, if you have to be silent, I mean
- 24:02Speaker 5: if giggling, is giggling part of the value silence.
- 24:06Speaker 2: And there's there are no skinny.
- 24:08Speaker 3: Monks in this bust at all, or to Rito's yeah.
- 24:15Speaker 4: Okay, proving that Bill handle was right all along. The
- 24:19Speaker 4: latest thing that Trump is putting his name and his
- 24:22Speaker 4: face on is your passport. The State Department has rolled
- 24:27Speaker 4: out a limited edition passport to commemorate the two hundred
- 24:30Speaker 4: and fiftieth anniversarity anniversary of American Independence, prominently featuring President
- 24:37Speaker 4: Trump's face on the inside. Cover mockups show his image
- 24:42Speaker 4: surrounded by text of the Declaration of Independence and the
- 24:45Speaker 4: American flag, along with his signature in gold.
- 24:49Speaker 2: Okay, a couple things.
- 24:50Speaker 3: First of all, all these photos of Trump across the
- 24:53Speaker 3: board rename him. Don't they all look like he has constipation.
- 24:56Speaker 3: There's not one that has a smile.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Doesn't work. It looks like he's really you.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Know, Okay, he does look a little poopy pants, doesn't it,
- 25:07Speaker 3: and I'm looking. I'm looking at some of the stuff
- 25:10Speaker 3: he put his name on, which is absolutely hilarious. For example,
- 25:13Speaker 3: if you go to the National Parks, they have passes.
- 25:17Speaker 3: It used to be just George Washington on the photo
- 25:20Speaker 3: on the passes. Guess what, there's two of them.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Now.
- 25:24Speaker 3: If you go to the Department of Justice, there is
- 25:26Speaker 3: a banner from top to bottom that has Trump's picture
- 25:30Speaker 3: on it.
- 25:32Speaker 2: It gets better. There's been pressure.
- 25:34Speaker 3: Trump pressured Chuck Schumer that he has a campaign to
- 25:39Speaker 3: rename New York's Penn station after Trump. I mean, it
- 25:45Speaker 3: doesn't stop, and don't forget Trump bar x oh man,
- 25:50Speaker 3: I just it becomes insane. Of course, his signature is
- 25:53Speaker 3: now on the currency that's important, and it goes down.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Then the Kennedy, the Trump Kennedy Center. It doesn't stop.
- 26:01Speaker 2: It doesn't stop.
- 26:02Speaker 5: So Newsome on his press ex account said, in honor
- 26:08Speaker 5: of the one hundred and seventy fifth anniversary of California
- 26:11Speaker 5: being a state, there's new driver's licenses and it has
- 26:15Speaker 5: it has Newsome's face on it as a joke, obviously,
- 26:20Speaker 5: But the cool thing is if you squeeze the part
- 26:22Speaker 5: of his hair on the driver's license, you can refill
- 26:24Speaker 5: your oil with it.
- 26:26Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, well said, It's just it's just it's incredible.
- 26:30Speaker 2: It's just incredible.
- 26:32Speaker 5: The airlines continue to become, I don't know, more difficult.
- 26:37Speaker 5: I suppose American Airlines is updating their battery policy soon,
- 26:41Speaker 5: going to require passengers to keep any portable battery packs
- 26:46Speaker 5: visible when in use, and you can't charge them in
- 26:50Speaker 5: the plane. They don't want you stowing them away because
- 26:54Speaker 5: these things can spark.
- 26:57Speaker 3: Yeah, they can make an ignite, you know. You know
- 27:01Speaker 3: who actually recognized this early on was Jerry Lee Lewis,
- 27:06Speaker 3: right with great balls of Fire.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Didn't you have that in college? Yeah that's true.
- 27:14Speaker 3: Okay, yes, I think we have time for one more.
- 27:21Speaker 4: Okay, this is kind of a sad way to end it,
- 27:24Speaker 4: but a cruise off Catalina turned deadly. A woman fell
- 27:28Speaker 4: off a balcony and landed on a deck below recently
- 27:33Speaker 4: on a Carnival cruise ship. The woman's family was able
- 27:36Speaker 4: to depart the ship and return home. They're still investigating it.
- 27:39Speaker 4: You know, the cruise ship is saying our support is
- 27:42Speaker 4: for the family, but they don't know exactly why she fell.
- 27:46Speaker 3: I'm not a fan of Carnival cruises, but not to
- 27:49Speaker 3: this level. Oberiously too soon. Okay, we're done, excellent, well said,
- 28:00Speaker 3: we are done.
- 28:00Speaker 2: All right. Coming up, well, the governor of debate.
- 28:04Speaker 3: Last night the candidates, this particularly the Democrats, were screaming
- 28:09Speaker 3: at each other and this is not good news for
- 28:12Speaker 3: the Democrats. So I'll tell you right now and we'll
- 28:14Speaker 3: talk about that coming up. This is KFI AM sixty.
- 28:19Speaker 2: You've been listening to the Bill Handle Show.
- 28:21Speaker 3: Catch my show Monday through Friday, six am to nine am,
- 28:24Speaker 3: and anytime on demand on the iHeartRadio app
