Mega Edition: How Ghislaine Maxwell Planned On Dealing With Government Experts At Her Trial (9/15/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to the Jeffrey Epstein Show.
0:04
Speaker 1: I'm your host, Bobby Capucci, and this is a morning update.
0:10
Speaker 1: What's up everyone and greetings from Sin City. Hope everybody's
0:15
Speaker 1: having a great Wednesday out there. Well folks, it's almost here.
0:20
Speaker 1: We are 19 days away from the start of this trial,
0:24
Speaker 1: and I for one cannot wait for it to commence.
0:30
Speaker 1: all of the BS, all of the talking, all of
0:32
Speaker 1: the back and forth, all of the nonsense is going
0:37
Speaker 1: right out the window. Because guess what? There's going to
0:42
Speaker 1: be a jury of 12 people, they're going to hear
0:45
Speaker 1: the evidence, and they are going to make the decision.
0:50
Speaker 1: All the talking we have done, all of the conversating
0:53
Speaker 1: we have done, all of the bringing to light we
0:58
Speaker 1: have done, well, It's all coming down to what occurs
1:03
Speaker 1: in that courtroom starting the 29th. And I have to say, folks,
1:08
Speaker 1: I'm pretty confident that we'll see a conviction at the
1:13
Speaker 1: end of these proceedings. Now, I don't know if it's
1:18
Speaker 1: going to be all charges she's convicted on, but I
1:22
Speaker 1: have a very hard time wrapping my mind around her
1:27
Speaker 1: not getting convicted. Especially when you see what happened with
1:31
Speaker 1: Rainieri and you see what happened with R. Kelly. The
1:34
Speaker 1: precedent is there. The will is there. Now all we're
1:38
Speaker 1: waiting for is the prosecution to do their job. I know.
1:44
Speaker 1: It ain't like we're the Patriots, right? Just do your job.
1:47
Speaker 1: Whole different story. We got the prosecution. They're more like
1:50
Speaker 1: the New York Jets. Yeah, you know, bumbling around, can't
1:54
Speaker 1: figure shit out for the most part. Yeah, that's the
1:56
Speaker 1: SDNY these days, folks, unfortunately. But thankfully, Alison Moe seems
2:03
Speaker 1: to have her head on straight. Alison Moe seems to
2:05
Speaker 1: be like a very go-get-em kind of prosecutor. The kind
2:11
Speaker 1: of prosecutor that if this was my family who was
2:15
Speaker 1: attacked and abused and trafficked by someone like Epstein and Maxwell,
2:19
Speaker 1: that's the kind of prosecutor I'd want on the case.
2:22
Speaker 1: So hopefully, when the rubber meets the road and all
2:26
Speaker 1: of this gets underway... We get to a point where
2:29
Speaker 1: there's a nice fat conviction at the end of this.
2:32
Speaker 1: Because I'll tell you what, I have, as much as
2:36
Speaker 1: I enjoy talking to you folks, and I honestly really,
2:41
Speaker 1: really treasure a lot of the friendships I've made throughout
2:43
Speaker 1: all of this as well, but I can't wait for
2:46
Speaker 1: us to have our last show here, folks, where we,
2:49
Speaker 1: you know, wrapping this up, where we're talking about it
2:52
Speaker 1: on a daily basis. Obviously, I'm never going to stop
2:55
Speaker 1: talking about this completely. Obviously, I'm never going to stop
3:00
Speaker 1: talking about the remnants of Jeffrey Epstein's criminal enterprise. And
3:05
Speaker 1: I'm going to continue to push for the people who
3:08
Speaker 1: were involved to be investigated. But when the trial wraps
3:13
Speaker 1: up and Maxwell is convicted, well, we're going to come
3:17
Speaker 1: to a point where we're going to have to say goodbye.
3:22
Speaker 1: And I'm not looking forward to it. In one regard, right?
3:27
Speaker 1: Because I really enjoy getting up here and chatting with
3:30
Speaker 1: all you folks and talking to you about this case
3:33
Speaker 1: and all of that. But on the other hand, this
3:36
Speaker 1: has been a serious grind for me and it's taken
3:38
Speaker 1: its toll on your boy. Every day, this kind of
3:41
Speaker 1: depressing shit, completely immersed in it. And I know it's
3:45
Speaker 1: nothing compared to what the survivors had to deal with.
3:49
Speaker 1: But from a personal standpoint, it's been a grind. And...
3:55
Speaker 1: To be honest, I wasn't ready for it. I had
3:58
Speaker 1: no idea what I was getting myself into when I
4:00
Speaker 1: sat down that first day and recorded the first episode.
4:03
Speaker 1: Zero idea. But guess what? I'm here for it. And
4:08
Speaker 1: I don't think I was meant to be anywhere else.
4:12
Speaker 1: I know that sounds kind of cheesy, right? But I
4:16
Speaker 1: believe I am exactly where I'm meant to be right now.
4:20
Speaker 1: And I know some other people out there you know,
4:24
Speaker 1: they want this story to keep going forever. They want to,
4:27
Speaker 1: you know, continue to talk about it forever and ever
4:29
Speaker 1: and ever and ever. But for me, I want to
4:35
Speaker 1: get some closure as far as Maxwell getting arrested, right?
4:40
Speaker 1: And then with, I mean, with her getting convicted. And
4:43
Speaker 1: then from there, I feel like, you know, we have
4:46
Speaker 1: done a real good job bringing light to what's going
4:52
Speaker 1: on here. And once she is convicted, I feel like
4:55
Speaker 1: we're at a point where it is going to be
5:02
Speaker 1: very difficult for anyone else to get hemmed up, unfortunately. Unless,
5:10
Speaker 1: of course, the government wants to follow through with a
5:13
Speaker 1: RICO case. But short of that, Maxwell is going to
5:19
Speaker 1: be the big piece, the big game. And once that's
5:24
Speaker 1: all said and done, it's going to be a bittersweet goodbye, folks.
5:31
Speaker 1: And I haven't really ever thought about it, you know,
5:33
Speaker 1: the last episode that we'll have here on the podcast.
5:36
Speaker 1: But the last, I don't know, few days, I have
5:41
Speaker 1: been thinking about it a little bit. And while obviously
5:45
Speaker 1: I'm not going anywhere, I have the other podcast and
5:48
Speaker 1: we'll probably keep it rolling, The Jeffrey Epstein Show. I'm
5:51
Speaker 1: not going to delete it or anything like that. It
5:53
Speaker 1: just won't be the constant daily updates anymore. Unless, of course,
5:58
Speaker 1: always the caveat, folks, right? I got to leave myself
6:00
Speaker 1: the out. Unless, of course, something crazy cracks off, new arrests,
6:06
Speaker 1: new information comes to light, whatever it may be, then
6:08
Speaker 1: I'm here for it. Believe me, I'm not going anywhere.
6:12
Speaker 1: I'll be here yapping away on this podcast and, of course,
6:16
Speaker 1: over on Beyond the Horizon, where I do a lot
6:20
Speaker 1: of yapping about other topics. And as you can see,
6:25
Speaker 1: I post a lot of those over here, cross post
6:27
Speaker 1: them for you, so that you don't have to go
6:29
Speaker 1: out and look for them anywhere else. But it's getting
6:34
Speaker 1: down to that point now, folks, where all the talking's
6:37
Speaker 1: pretty much done, right? There's really not much more that
6:40
Speaker 1: my fat mouth can provide for you that you do
6:43
Speaker 1: not already know. You're armed, you're ready, and you're willing
6:51
Speaker 1: to go to battle with these people, And I applaud
6:54
Speaker 1: all of you for your show of courage throughout all
6:58
Speaker 1: of this. When it first started, people were calling us
7:02
Speaker 1: conspiracy theorists and trying to paint us as loons and
7:06
Speaker 1: all of that shit. Well, guess what? You hear us now, motherfuckers?
7:11
Speaker 1: It was never a conspiracy theory. It was always a
7:14
Speaker 1: criminal conspiracy. And those of you who have hung in there,
7:17
Speaker 1: those of you who have been around through the ups
7:19
Speaker 1: and the downs... Those of you who have never made
7:22
Speaker 1: this something that has been, you know, a joke to you.
7:29
Speaker 1: The payoff is coming, folks. And that payoff is going
7:32
Speaker 1: to be this lady getting convicted. And guess what? I
7:37
Speaker 1: couldn't have asked for better role mates than all of
7:41
Speaker 1: you during this entire fiasco. And all the survivors out there.
7:49
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein survivors and otherwise. You're not alone. Not anymore.
7:57
Speaker 1: Whereas before you were screaming into the wind. Now your
8:00
Speaker 1: voice is being magnified by millions. Who stand shoulder to
8:05
Speaker 1: shoulder with you. And I for one. I'm happy to
8:10
Speaker 1: see it. Because for too long. We've ignored this problem
8:15
Speaker 1: of domestic violence. We've ignored the problem of human trafficking.
8:20
Speaker 1: And it's time to man up and start working towards
8:25
Speaker 1: ending that. Educating people about how bad these situations are.
8:29
Speaker 1: How prevalent they are. And how brazen these people are
8:32
Speaker 1: who are running these operations. So, it has been quite
8:38
Speaker 1: the road, folks. And now, we're on the downward portion
8:44
Speaker 1: of this hill. So, buckle up. We're still in for
8:49
Speaker 1: a bumpy ride. With that said, let's jump into today's
8:53
Speaker 1: article from ABC News. And the headline is, Ghislaine Maxwell
9:00
Speaker 1: prosecutors spar over testimony on false memories. Well, yeah, like
9:06
Speaker 1: I said, again, this is my opinion, right? I'm not
9:10
Speaker 1: a scientist and I'm lucky I can put my socks
9:13
Speaker 1: on correctly in the morning, but This seems like quackery
9:18
Speaker 1: to me, false memories and all of these like made
9:22
Speaker 1: up mental sciences. I'm not a big fan of. Now,
9:26
Speaker 1: don't get me wrong. There is certainly a place for therapy.
9:29
Speaker 1: There's certainly a place for psychology, but there's all these
9:32
Speaker 1: other weird pseudosciences that pop up and I look at
9:35
Speaker 1: them like chiropractors, right? All right, you did get a
9:39
Speaker 1: little something going on, but really you're not fixing my ailment, bro.
9:42
Speaker 1: I have a herniated disc. You might crack my back,
9:45
Speaker 1: but guess what? You're not fixing that herniated disc. And
9:49
Speaker 1: that's the same way I look at some of these,
9:54
Speaker 1: I don't know, mental doctors or whatever you want to
9:58
Speaker 1: call them, behavioralists or whatever. who knows either way I
10:03
Speaker 1: look at it as a bit of quackery so again
10:06
Speaker 1: just my opinion and I might be a bit ignorant
10:09
Speaker 1: there right I might not know all of the science
10:14
Speaker 1: or whatever but But it's just ridiculous. Every single time
10:18
Speaker 1: you see a case like this, you have people like
10:20
Speaker 1: these specialists who get brought forward, and it's the same
10:24
Speaker 1: cast of characters. There's no other doctors out there that
10:27
Speaker 1: can diagnose this? You got the same people? Oh, well,
10:31
Speaker 1: they work with Bill Cosby and Harvey Weinstein. Yeah, how'd
10:35
Speaker 1: that work out? I'm over here saying, yeah, I'm here
10:38
Speaker 1: for it. If those are the specialists that you brought
10:40
Speaker 1: out for Harvey Weinstein and old dickbag Bill Cosby, well, yeah, great,
10:45
Speaker 1: bring them out again because they obviously suck. Federal prosecutors
10:53
Speaker 1: are seeking to preclude or limit Ghislaine Maxwell, the alleged accomplice, co-conspirator,
10:58
Speaker 1: general all-around scuzzbag, fellow child abuser, and bipedal serpent, of
11:03
Speaker 1: deceased sex offender, child abuser, pedophile, Jeffrey Epstein, from offering
11:09
Speaker 1: expert testimony about false memories of sexual abuse and about
11:14
Speaker 1: the so-called halo effect, a theory suggesting that Epstein used
11:19
Speaker 1: his brilliance to manipulate people to do his bidding and
11:23
Speaker 1: serve his needs, according to court records. Now, you see
11:27
Speaker 1: what I've been talking about this whole time now, folks?
11:30
Speaker 1: All of this talk that you've seen in the papers
11:33
Speaker 1: about Jeffrey Epstein's brilliance, oh, he's such a brilliant man, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,
11:38
Speaker 1: was all groundwork leading up to this point. Now Maxwell
11:44
Speaker 1: and her team can say, look, everyone said he was
11:45
Speaker 1: so brilliant, he had the halo effect going on. Maxwell was,
11:49
Speaker 1: you know, Oxford educated and around, you know, the most
11:53
Speaker 1: smartest people in the world, but she's dumb enough to
11:55
Speaker 1: get wrapped up in it. Nobody's buying that shit, okay?
11:59
Speaker 1: I'm not You're not. The penguins in Antarctica aren't. Nobody's
12:03
Speaker 1: buying it. Bunch of bullshit. Now, from the prosecution standpoint,
12:09
Speaker 1: what they're trying to do is, you know, have all
12:12
Speaker 1: of the factors on their side. And if they can
12:16
Speaker 1: not have these witnesses, these experts testify, more to the better, right?
12:26
Speaker 1: The harder they make it for the defense, the better
12:28
Speaker 1: off it is for them. The government contends that much
12:34
Speaker 1: of Maxwell's proposed expert testimony is unreliable, irrelevant, or squarely
12:40
Speaker 1: within the knowledge of the average juror, according to court
12:44
Speaker 1: records in Maxwell's criminal case. Basically, it looks like they're
12:49
Speaker 1: trying to bring these quote-unquote experts aboard to, you know,
12:54
Speaker 1: demean the survivors, to destroy their credibility, and all of that.
12:58
Speaker 1: The usual stuff that we see here. And whereas that
13:04
Speaker 1: might have worked before, it's not going to work anymore.
13:07
Speaker 1: Everybody's hip to it. And people who are going to
13:10
Speaker 1: be jurors, jurors, perhaps they're hip to it, too. And
13:14
Speaker 1: not just from this case. Just in general, people are
13:18
Speaker 1: tired of it. They're real tired of people like Maxwell
13:22
Speaker 1: getting away with things. Rather than focus narrowly on reliable
13:28
Speaker 1: opinions that would be relevant to issues in this case,
13:32
Speaker 1: the defendant proposes to have her experts testify broadly about
13:36
Speaker 1: a wide variety of topics, from testimony about various psychological
13:41
Speaker 1: disorders to testimony regarding the generation of false memories in
13:46
Speaker 1: laboratory settings that are not helpful to the jury, prosecutors
13:50
Speaker 1: wrote Monday. So what they're saying here is, Basically what
13:55
Speaker 1: I just said, this is quackery, okay? You're not going
13:58
Speaker 1: to replicate the results you get in the laboratory, sitting
14:02
Speaker 1: in the courtroom. You've never sat down with any of
14:04
Speaker 1: these survivors. You can only give a very vague opinion
14:09
Speaker 1: about the overall effect, okay? So basically, spitballing. And nobody's
14:19
Speaker 1: buying it. Maxwell's lawyers have indicated in court filings that
14:24
Speaker 1: they intend to call Elizabeth Loftus, a psychologist and frequent
14:28
Speaker 1: expert witness for defendants, to testify about research showing that
14:33
Speaker 1: false memories can be described with confidence, detail, and emotion,
14:37
Speaker 1: just like true memories. Even though a witness may not
14:40
Speaker 1: be deliberately lying. Okay, so what they're saying there is,
14:44
Speaker 1: you're not a liar, but you're a liar. Such a joke.
14:49
Speaker 1: They're trying to set it up to say that the
14:53
Speaker 1: survivors have false memories. They're remembering incorrectly about who abused them.
14:58
Speaker 1: It really was the boogeyman hanging out with the chupacabra
15:02
Speaker 1: who was brought over there by the wolfman. But really,
15:05
Speaker 1: Bigfoot was the one doing the grooming. They might as
15:08
Speaker 1: well tell us that. Guess what? Fuck off, okay? And
15:12
Speaker 1: I really hope that the jury sees through the bullshit.
15:18
Speaker 1: Such opinions would be highly prejudicial and inflammatory, would confuse
15:22
Speaker 1: and mislead the jury, and would evade the fundamental province
15:26
Speaker 1: of the jury in determining witness credibility, prosecutors wrote. So
15:31
Speaker 1: that's really what it comes down to, right? And we
15:33
Speaker 1: could skip all of it, and I could just go
15:35
Speaker 1: directly to the end there and tell you. That's what
15:37
Speaker 1: it's all about. They're trying to destroy the credibility. of
15:42
Speaker 1: these survivors, these girls who were abused and trafficked by
15:45
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein, some of them allegedly by Ghislaine Maxwell, and
15:48
Speaker 1: they're trying to absolutely destroy them once again. That's their goal.
15:54
Speaker 1: Maxwell's defense team has also proposed that Park Dietz, a
15:58
Speaker 1: forensic psychiatrist most famous for testifying for the prosecution at
16:03
Speaker 1: the trial of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, offer expert opinion
16:07
Speaker 1: to counter assertions of the government and its proposed expert,
16:11
Speaker 1: who claimed Maxwell's alleged grooming of vulnerable, minor girls was
16:15
Speaker 1: a key component in Epstein's scheme of abuse. Okay. The
16:21
Speaker 1: word grooming has acquired meaning beyond an objective description of behaviors.
16:26
Speaker 1: It imputes motive and intent without adequate evidence of either,
16:30
Speaker 1: Maxwell's lawyers wrote to the court in a preview of
16:33
Speaker 1: Deet's anticipated testimony. So Dietz and Watson over here is
16:38
Speaker 1: going to get up there and say that she wasn't
16:40
Speaker 1: grooming anybody. That's not really what the word means. Meanwhile,
16:44
Speaker 1: we have firsthand reports of Ghislaine Maxwell talking about going
16:49
Speaker 1: to find nubiles. Fuck, you think we're going to ignore that?
16:53
Speaker 1: We're going to forget about that? So you could bring
16:56
Speaker 1: on Parker Dietz, Parker Brothers, Parker McSchnobble, and it's not
17:01
Speaker 1: going to matter. Because the facts are the facts in
17:04
Speaker 1: this case. None of your BS, none of your experts,
17:08
Speaker 1: and none of the nonsense that they're going to bring
17:10
Speaker 1: to the table is going to change the facts. Dietz
17:20
Speaker 1: argues that there is no settled definition of the term grooming.
17:24
Speaker 1: In the litigation context, when grooming is applied to such
17:27
Speaker 1: common and desirable behaviors as being kind or attentive or
17:31
Speaker 1: helpful or caring, there is considerable risk of misleading the
17:34
Speaker 1: fact finder into believing that these latter behaviors are well-established
17:39
Speaker 1: predictors of child sexual abuse. When they are not, he added. Um, what?
17:45
Speaker 1: Breaking news, okay? If you don't know my kid, stay
17:48
Speaker 1: the fuck away from him. I don't need you to
17:50
Speaker 1: be nice to them. I don't need you to talk
17:52
Speaker 1: to them or offer them a massage job, okay? That's
17:57
Speaker 1: exactly what they were doing, grooming. And Parker Brothers over here, Mr.
18:03
Speaker 1: Num Nuts Head, another one of these so-called doctors. Such
18:08
Speaker 1: a joke. Such a joke. Federal prosecutors have taken particular
18:14
Speaker 1: exception to part of Dietz's proposed testimony that focuses on
18:17
Speaker 1: the so-called halo effect, which is described by Dietz as
18:21
Speaker 1: a cognitive bias where a positive evaluation of one characteristic
18:25
Speaker 1: has a radiating effect on how other non-related characteristics of
18:30
Speaker 1: the individual are evaluated. Basically, what they're saying is that
18:35
Speaker 1: Epstein is the reason we're here. It has nothing to
18:37
Speaker 1: do with Ghislaine Maxwell. We're all missing the boat. She's
18:41
Speaker 1: just another victim of Jeffrey Epstein's. It's not the case. Now,
18:46
Speaker 1: you might be able to get over on that with
18:48
Speaker 1: people who don't know what's going on here, people who
18:52
Speaker 1: have not followed this case. But with people who have
18:54
Speaker 1: followed this case, zero chance that's going to work. In
19:06
Speaker 1: a letter submitted to the court by Maxwell's lawyers, Dietz
19:09
Speaker 1: suggested that Epstein exploited the halo effect, which allowed him
19:13
Speaker 1: to use his brilliance to manipulate people to do his
19:16
Speaker 1: bidding and to compartmentalize people into isolated cells in which
19:23
Speaker 1: none had complete information about his activities. Such bullshit. So
19:27
Speaker 1: right there... Their whole entire defense is out the window.
19:30
Speaker 1: We know he wasn't brilliant, okay? When you talk about
19:34
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein to the scientists around him, he wasn't brilliant.
19:38
Speaker 1: Here's another dumb fuck, okay? The only reason that he
19:41
Speaker 1: was able to do what he did is because he
19:43
Speaker 1: had handlers in the government helping him. Jeffrey Epstein is
19:49
Speaker 1: not some fucking... genius. But the government is seeking to
19:55
Speaker 1: exclude Dietz's testimony on the so-called halo effect, arguing that
19:59
Speaker 1: it appears designed to engender sympathy for Maxwell. That is
20:02
Speaker 1: exactly what it does. That's the whole point of the defense. Dr.
20:08
Speaker 1: Dietz and Watson... has absolutely no basis to make such
20:11
Speaker 1: broad and sweeping factual claims about Epstein or his relationships
20:16
Speaker 1: with anyone, much less anyone in this case, prosecutors wrote.
20:20
Speaker 1: For sure, he doesn't know Epstein. I'm sure he doesn't
20:22
Speaker 1: even know much about this case. He's making a general
20:26
Speaker 1: statement here. And while that might be the general way
20:30
Speaker 1: things go, there's nothing general about this case. Everything about
20:34
Speaker 1: it is unique. And Mr. Dietz, you're about to learn that.
20:40
Speaker 1: And it is no basis at all for Mr. Dietz
20:43
Speaker 1: to suggest to the jury that anyone involved in this
20:46
Speaker 1: case did anything because of Epstein's halo, they added. U.S.
20:52
Speaker 1: District Judge Allison Nathan, who is overseeing Maxwell's criminal trial,
20:55
Speaker 1: will hold a hearing Wednesday to settle the party's disputes
20:59
Speaker 1: over the expert witnesses. Maxwell, 59, has pleaded not guilty
21:04
Speaker 1: to allegations that she conspired with and aided Epstein's abuse
21:08
Speaker 1: of minor girls between 1994 and 2004. She has been
21:12
Speaker 1: held without bail in a federal detention center in Brooklyn
21:16
Speaker 1: since her arrest in July of 2020. Maxwell's criminal trial
21:20
Speaker 1: is set to begin on November 29th. So I wanted
21:24
Speaker 1: to get this one out early today, folks, considering that
21:27
Speaker 1: Judge Nathan is having the hearing in regards to what
21:30
Speaker 1: is going to be allowed and what is not going
21:33
Speaker 1: to be allowed. So either later on tonight or tomorrow morning,
21:37
Speaker 1: first thing, we'll get the update popped out. So until then, everybody,
21:42
Speaker 1: I hope you all have a great morning, a great day.
21:45
Speaker 1: You all deserve that. And I will be back later on.
21:50
Speaker 1: If you'd like to contact me, you can do that
21:51
Speaker 1: at bobbycapucci at protonmail.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at protonmail.com. You can
22:01
Speaker 1: also find me on Twitter at B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I. All
22:08
Speaker 1: of the links that go with this episode can be
22:11
Speaker 1: found in the description box. All right, folks, I'll be
22:14
Speaker 1: back later on. Hello, everyone, and welcome to the Jeffrey
22:18
Speaker 1: Epstein Show. I'm your host, Bobby Capucci, and this is
22:23
Speaker 1: a morning update. What's up, everyone, and greetings from Sin City.
22:30
Speaker 1: Hope everybody's having a great Tuesday out there. Hopefully you
22:34
Speaker 1: all had a great weekend. Well, Ghislaine Maxwell and her
22:38
Speaker 1: legal team are gearing up for the trial. Now, we
22:43
Speaker 1: know that they have taken L after L after L
22:48
Speaker 1: leading up to this point. So now that the game
22:51
Speaker 1: of technicalities and the game of loopholes is coming to
22:54
Speaker 1: an end, well, you're starting to see Ghislaine Maxwell and
22:58
Speaker 1: her team pivot as they begin to understand that this
23:03
Speaker 1: is going to trial. Now, remember, their goal leading up
23:08
Speaker 1: to this was to make sure that it never got
23:11
Speaker 1: to that point, to make sure that it never got
23:14
Speaker 1: to trial. Because they understand once it gets to trial,
23:20
Speaker 1: The bullshit ends and it's time for truth. And we
23:26
Speaker 1: all know that Maxwell's not dealing with the truth on
23:28
Speaker 1: her side. We all know that Maxwell has been busy
23:34
Speaker 1: helping Jeffrey Epstein, participating with Jeffrey Epstein. We've seen the evidence.
23:40
Speaker 1: We've heard the accounts from those who were abused. But
23:47
Speaker 1: her lawyers are going to bring in quote-unquote specialists who
23:52
Speaker 1: are going to try and gaslight people, who are going
23:54
Speaker 1: to try and tell people a completely different story. A
23:57
Speaker 1: story about how Maxwell, in the grand scheme of things,
24:01
Speaker 1: is nothing but a victim herself. And folks, let me
24:04
Speaker 1: tell you what. You're going to have to have a
24:07
Speaker 1: strong stomach to sit through that shit. Absolute garbage, okay?
24:13
Speaker 1: Five chicken palm rating. Complete garbage. Absolute nonsense. Ghislaine Maxwell
24:22
Speaker 1: is about as much a victim of Jeffrey Epstein as
24:26
Speaker 1: I am an heir to Jeff Bezos' fortune. It is ludicrous.
24:34
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell is a grown-ass woman. A woman of means.
24:37
Speaker 1: A woman of power. A woman of influence. At any moment,
24:41
Speaker 1: She could have left Jeffrey Epstein's cabal at any moment.
24:44
Speaker 1: She could have walked out on that criminal enterprise and
24:47
Speaker 1: blew it all up. She didn't. She stuck around. She participated.
24:52
Speaker 1: And now, if there's any justice left in the world, folks, well,
24:56
Speaker 1: she's going to pay for that. Unfortunately, even if she
25:03
Speaker 1: gets the full sentence, even if she goes up the
25:06
Speaker 1: river for 80 years, it's not long enough. That's right.
25:10
Speaker 1: I said what I said. Life sentences for people like this.
25:14
Speaker 1: You're trafficking people. You're selling human beings. You're trading them
25:18
Speaker 1: around like some Pokemon cards. Yeah, you're a piece of shit.
25:22
Speaker 1: There's no place for you in any sort of civil society.
25:26
Speaker 1: And there's no way you can even be rehabilitated. So,
25:30
Speaker 1: to prison you go. Bologna sandwiches to eat. And nobody
25:35
Speaker 1: else for you to ever bother again. Because there's no
25:41
Speaker 1: coming back from these kinds of crimes, right? We're not
25:43
Speaker 1: talking about white collar crime. We're not talking about you
25:47
Speaker 1: got into a fight with somebody and somebody got hurt
25:50
Speaker 1: by mistake. We're not talking about an accident. We're talking
25:55
Speaker 1: about crimes against children and the most vulnerable amongst us.
26:01
Speaker 1: How much more decadent does it get? How much more
26:05
Speaker 1: disgusting can it possibly be? So yes, Ghislaine Maxwell, all
26:12
Speaker 1: of your friends, everybody who participated, all of you deserve
26:17
Speaker 1: prison time for the rest of your lives. And hopefully,
26:23
Speaker 1: in a few weeks from now, we'll be on the
26:25
Speaker 1: path to Maxwell getting a taste of that. Now, on
26:31
Speaker 1: to our article for the day. So Ghislaine Maxwell is
26:37
Speaker 1: bringing in false memory experts, and one of them testified
26:43
Speaker 1: in the OJ trial. He's going to be a defense witness,
26:48
Speaker 1: and he's going to try and set the scene that
26:51
Speaker 1: these girls who were abused by Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein, well,
26:55
Speaker 1: they're just having false memories. It is absurd, but This
27:01
Speaker 1: is the way it goes, right? When you get to trial,
27:04
Speaker 1: and especially when you're dealing with rich and powerful people
27:08
Speaker 1: like Elaine Maxwell and her friends, this is exactly what
27:12
Speaker 1: you have to deal with. They're going to bring in
27:14
Speaker 1: every kind of specialist you can possibly imagine, every kind
27:17
Speaker 1: of talking head from here to next week. And if
27:21
Speaker 1: you notice, it's the same group of people that come
27:24
Speaker 1: strolling through for all of these rich folks. You know
27:28
Speaker 1: how I always say they have the same playbook? Well,
27:30
Speaker 1: they also have the same phone book when they're calling
27:33
Speaker 1: in experts, when they're calling in witnesses. I mean, at
27:36
Speaker 1: this point, Maxwell should just call in O.J. Simpson himself
27:40
Speaker 1: or Harvey Weinstein himself to be witnesses. That's how absurd
27:44
Speaker 1: all of this is. So let's jump into this article
27:47
Speaker 1: real quick. And let's see what Sarah Grealish has to
27:52
Speaker 1: say over at The Sun. Dream witness. False memory expert
27:56
Speaker 1: who testified in OJ trial will be defense witness for
28:00
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell in sex trafficking case. Ghislaine, the former lover
28:06
Speaker 1: of pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, it's debatable. How about co-conspirator, fellow
28:11
Speaker 1: child abuser, general all-around scuzzbag and bipedal serpent? I think
28:15
Speaker 1: that's more fitting. will face six charges later this year,
28:19
Speaker 1: including sex trafficking conspiracy and the sex trafficking of a minor.
28:24
Speaker 1: And by later this year, we're talking 20 days, folks.
28:27
Speaker 1: 20 days until this trial kicks off. 20 days until
28:32
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell is in that courtroom. And boy, oh boy,
28:37
Speaker 1: I couldn't be more excited. I cannot wait for all
28:43
Speaker 1: of this to happen. kick off for all of this
28:45
Speaker 1: to start and I really can't wait for the conviction
28:49
Speaker 1: to come at the end because nobody in my opinion
28:55
Speaker 1: in maybe ever of anything I've ever looked at deserves
29:00
Speaker 1: to go to prison more than her what the crimes
29:05
Speaker 1: the alleged crimes here and the circumstantial evidence that we
29:11
Speaker 1: have available to us that backs it up man I
29:14
Speaker 1: don't know how anyone can't look at this and they
29:17
Speaker 1: aren't disgusted. I mean, even her family members with their
29:22
Speaker 1: tired ass defense of her. I just don't get it. Like,
29:27
Speaker 1: you want to support your loved one. That's cool. I
29:30
Speaker 1: understand that. But when there is as much evidence here
29:34
Speaker 1: as there is available, I honestly don't know how anyone
29:38
Speaker 1: is choosing this hillbilly. defending Ghislaine Maxwell, as the hill
29:43
Speaker 1: to die on. It is mind-boggling to me, the mental
29:49
Speaker 1: gymnastics that one must engage in to think that Ghislaine
29:53
Speaker 1: Maxwell is innocent here. Memory guru Professor Elizabeth Loftus could
30:03
Speaker 1: be asked to challenge the evidence of survivors of Maxwell
30:07
Speaker 1: who may be called upon during the trial, reports the Times.
30:11
Speaker 1: So imagine making your living doing this. This Elizabeth Loftus lady.
30:17
Speaker 1: Sit around all day and you challenge survivors of sexual
30:21
Speaker 1: assault about their memories. I mean, are you kidding me
30:25
Speaker 1: right now? What is this? The Dream Warriors in Nightmare
30:31
Speaker 1: on Elm Street? All of this kind of stuff is
30:35
Speaker 1: just weird to me. Like, this kind of science, I
30:38
Speaker 1: kind of see it as quackery, if I'm being honest, folks. Oh,
30:42
Speaker 1: dream therapy! Come on, man. You're having that dream because
30:46
Speaker 1: you have, you know, some repressed feelings in your brain
30:49
Speaker 1: or whatever. It's just like a cottage industry to hustle
30:53
Speaker 1: more people. And, uh... This is just a memory guru.
30:59
Speaker 1: We just throw labels on ourselves now. All right. Well,
31:03
Speaker 1: guess what? I'm a sports betting guru. Oh, yeah. Hey, Bobby.
31:07
Speaker 1: How's your football betting going? Oh, you know, I'm cracking
31:10
Speaker 1: off at about 45 percent. How are you a guru?
31:13
Speaker 1: I don't know. I just put that name on myself.
31:16
Speaker 1: Who does that? Like who named her the guru? So dumb.
31:24
Speaker 1: She remains behind bars in New York after being arrested
31:27
Speaker 1: in July 2020, but denies all allegations of misconduct against her.
31:33
Speaker 1: Professor Loftus, who is an expert in false memories, famously
31:37
Speaker 1: gave evidence at the trial of American footballer O.J. Simpson
31:41
Speaker 1: in 1995. She examines how a person's memory can be
31:45
Speaker 1: tampered with by incorrect information. Well, there's a large segment
31:50
Speaker 1: of the population that she should be sitting down with then.
31:54
Speaker 1: A large segment. You see what I mean here about folks, though,
31:58
Speaker 1: about the quackery? I mean, this is going to be
32:02
Speaker 1: admissible in court? Oh, okay, yeah, the justice system isn't screwy.
32:06
Speaker 1: What's next? Let's have Miss Cleo come in and do
32:09
Speaker 1: a psychic reading. Maybe she can give us a tarot
32:12
Speaker 1: card reading while we're there. A bunch of idiocy. She
32:20
Speaker 1: told the Los Angeles Times, I think people who are
32:23
Speaker 1: accused deserve some modicum of support as well. I agree
32:26
Speaker 1: with that. When you're accused of something, okay, you should
32:29
Speaker 1: be supported by your team, but this is crazy. This
32:33
Speaker 1: is silly. And the fact that these people pop up
32:37
Speaker 1: in all of these cases should tell you everything that
32:40
Speaker 1: you need to know. You know how all of the
32:43
Speaker 1: people in Hollywood, all of the people in New York
32:46
Speaker 1: seem to be in Jeffrey Epstein's black book? Well, I'm
32:49
Speaker 1: guessing that there's a black book for expert witnesses when
32:53
Speaker 1: shit goes south for all of these diddlers and touchers
32:58
Speaker 1: wouldn't shock me one bit considering how they're all connected
33:02
Speaker 1: anyway all of these people fellow travelers and all meanwhile
33:09
Speaker 1: psychiatrist Dr. Park Dietz who previously examined the sanity of
33:14
Speaker 1: the cannibal serial killer and the Unabomber is also on
33:17
Speaker 1: the list of 8 potential expert witnesses hey, you know what?
33:21
Speaker 1: Since she's so much like Hannibal Lecter, I'm wondering when
33:24
Speaker 1: Will Graham is going to be called to take the stand.
33:27
Speaker 1: Bring in Will Graham. Let's get him in here. Let's
33:30
Speaker 1: get him to take a look at old Hannibal Galane.
33:34
Speaker 1: Park deets. All of these loons that you see come
33:39
Speaker 1: out of the woodwork anytime that there's one of these
33:41
Speaker 1: cases is just, it cracks me up. I can't even
33:44
Speaker 1: tell you folks how comical it all is to me.
33:48
Speaker 1: At this point, Ghislaine Maxwell's legal team certainly looks like
33:52
Speaker 1: a comedy show. Not that they're trying to look like that,
33:57
Speaker 1: but that's what they look like to me. It was
34:02
Speaker 1: revealed that Maxwell has claimed a prison guard threatened her
34:04
Speaker 1: verbally as she made a six bid for bail. She
34:07
Speaker 1: claims that during the hearing, a guard said, when they
34:10
Speaker 1: were alone, you think you are special? You are not special. Remember,
34:14
Speaker 1: you are in custody and the judge doesn't care about you. Oh,
34:18
Speaker 1: is that what he said, Ghislaine? Do you have any
34:21
Speaker 1: proof of that, or are you just telling us fibs again?
34:26
Speaker 1: Because you aren't exactly what I would call a reliable narrator,
34:30
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell. The absolute opposite, in fact. Bobby Sternum went
34:37
Speaker 1: on to say that the disturbing treatment meant she should
34:41
Speaker 1: be released. Her conditions in prison are so bad that
34:44
Speaker 1: they are akin to the surveillance of Hannibal Lecter in
34:47
Speaker 1: The Silence of the Lambs. It's so stupid. It is
34:51
Speaker 1: so dumb, folks, that I almost don't even want to
34:54
Speaker 1: talk about it, honestly. That's how ridiculous I feel all
34:59
Speaker 1: of this is with Maxwell and her team. They think
35:02
Speaker 1: that they're going to bring in these specialists and these
35:05
Speaker 1: specialists are going to come in and just hammer these girls.
35:09
Speaker 1: I mean, come on. Really? Do you really think that
35:12
Speaker 1: that's what's going to go down? Also, Maxwell plans on
35:18
Speaker 1: challenging the claims that she groomed girls for Epstein to abuse.
35:23
Speaker 1: From this article in The Guardian, at her trial, she
35:28
Speaker 1: says that her accusers have faulty memories, right? That's why
35:33
Speaker 1: she's bringing in these specialists. And from her lawyer, Jeffrey...
35:39
Speaker 1: Pagliuccia that was made public on Monday they say that
35:43
Speaker 1: she is going to deny the charges that Maxwell helped
35:49
Speaker 1: to recruit and groom four underage girls for Epstein so
35:52
Speaker 1: they're not even willing to look at these charges and
35:58
Speaker 1: say oh yeah this is what's coming down the pipe
36:02
Speaker 1: they won't even acknowledge them at this point still they're
36:07
Speaker 1: still playing this game. So, Damian Williams, who is the
36:16
Speaker 1: new man head honcho in charge in New York, as
36:20
Speaker 1: far as attorney generals go, as far as lawmen go,
36:25
Speaker 1: his office didn't respond when comment was asked for. So, Pagliuccia,
36:36
Speaker 1: on the other hand, said that Epstein has this great
36:41
Speaker 1: power and wealth and how he radiates this halo effect
36:45
Speaker 1: that lets him surround people with, surround himself with people
36:48
Speaker 1: who want to serve his needs. And that certainly looks
36:51
Speaker 1: like the angle they're going to be going for here, folks.
36:54
Speaker 1: Setting Maxwell up as a victim of Epstein's, setting up
36:58
Speaker 1: Maxwell as somebody who should be a sympathetic figure. And
37:01
Speaker 1: setting up Maxwell as somebody who should never, ever even
37:05
Speaker 1: have been in this situation. This is all just a
37:07
Speaker 1: big mistake. And all of these girls that have these
37:10
Speaker 1: memories of what occurred, what happened to them, what Maxwell
37:15
Speaker 1: did to them. Well, they're just misremembering. They're just forgetting.
37:20
Speaker 1: And to me, it's just absurd. And I cannot wait
37:23
Speaker 1: for this trial to start. For... Ready? Ready? For these
37:29
Speaker 1: claims to be absolutely demolished. By the prosecution. And I
37:36
Speaker 1: hope that Allison Moe comes with her shit kickers on.
37:40
Speaker 1: Because I'm looking forward to Allison Moe. Giving these clowns
37:43
Speaker 1: the business. I don't have any faith in Maureen Comey
37:47
Speaker 1: as you all know. But I do dig Allison Moe.
37:49
Speaker 1: I think that she's a great prosecutor. And I think
37:52
Speaker 1: that she's in it for the right reasons. And I
37:55
Speaker 1: hope that Allison Moe takes a leading role. When it
37:59
Speaker 1: comes trial time. I don't want to see. Maureen Comey
38:04
Speaker 1: up there. Bumbling about. So hopefully that's the case. Hopefully
38:09
Speaker 1: prosecution is ready. And hopefully they come out. All guns blazing.
38:16
Speaker 1: If you'd like to contact me. You can do that at.
38:18
Speaker 1: BobbyCapucci at ProtonMail.com That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I At ProtonMail.com You can also
38:28
Speaker 1: find me on Twitter at B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I. The links
38:35
Speaker 1: that we discussed can be found in the description box.
38:38
Speaker 1: As for me, well, I will be back tomorrow or
38:42
Speaker 1: later on, depending on the news, with some more content.
38:46
Speaker 1: All right, everybody. Hope you all have a great day. And, well,
38:51
Speaker 1: let's hope that Ghislaine Maxwell isn't. everyone and welcome back
38:56
Speaker 1: to the Epstein Chronicles. Well, all of the loopholes, the technicalities,
39:03
Speaker 1: the complaints, all of that is coming to a head.
39:07
Speaker 1: Glenn Maxwell's legal team is about to take center stage
39:11
Speaker 1: in the courtroom and they are going to argue their
39:15
Speaker 1: client's innocence. Now, we know leading up to this, it
39:19
Speaker 1: was all about loopholes, technicalities, and the destruction of the
39:25
Speaker 1: credibility of the survivors and the witnesses. And we can
39:30
Speaker 1: expect the same exact thing starting today. I'm guessing that
39:36
Speaker 1: Glenn Maxwell's legal team is going to continue with the
39:39
Speaker 1: scorched earth policy, continue to try and punch holes in
39:43
Speaker 1: the credibility, in the memories, and in the actual suffering,
39:49
Speaker 1: if we're getting down to it, of these survivors. Now
39:54
Speaker 1: you see what they tried to do to those survivors
39:56
Speaker 1: on the stand. And after hearing the first three survivors...
40:04
Speaker 1: We heard from Annie Farmer. And they tried to rattle
40:08
Speaker 1: Annie on the stand. They couldn't do it. They tried
40:12
Speaker 1: to shake her. They couldn't do it. And Annie delivered
40:15
Speaker 1: some very powerful testimony to wrap up the prosecution's case. Now,
40:21
Speaker 1: of course, I wish the prosecution would have brought out
40:24
Speaker 1: a lot more witnesses, character witnesses, etc., etc. But I
40:29
Speaker 1: think that one of the best moves they made was
40:32
Speaker 1: resting their case on the back of the powerful testimony
40:37
Speaker 1: of Annie. That came after we heard from the first
40:43
Speaker 1: three survivors who have all had very, very difficult lives
40:49
Speaker 1: after the fact. And when you look at Annie, you
40:54
Speaker 1: see that she was unshakable on that stand. They couldn't
40:58
Speaker 1: get to her with drug use or anything like that.
41:00
Speaker 1: So they were left with nothing. And when you're left
41:03
Speaker 1: with nothing as a defense attorney and you have no
41:08
Speaker 1: evidence to prove your client is innocent, you're in big trouble.
41:14
Speaker 1: All that you're left with is scorched earth policy and
41:18
Speaker 1: looking to demean these girls, these survivors, and these witnesses.
41:23
Speaker 1: And historically, it hasn't worked out so well inside of
41:26
Speaker 1: courtrooms when people have tried this tactic. And I would
41:30
Speaker 1: think with the current environment, the current climate of not
41:34
Speaker 1: only the United States, but the whole world at this point,
41:37
Speaker 1: that this strategy is going to fall directly on its face. Now,
41:42
Speaker 1: we have an article this morning from Slate, and the
41:45
Speaker 1: author is Seth Stevenson, and it's a pretty good article
41:49
Speaker 1: about Ghislaine Maxwell's defense team and how they're going to
41:52
Speaker 1: try and paint her as a victim here. Now, this
41:56
Speaker 1: has always been part of the strategy. To set Ghislaine
41:58
Speaker 1: Maxwell up as somebody who was victimized by Epstein as
42:02
Speaker 1: well as these girls. Right? To try and paint it as, oh,
42:06
Speaker 1: she wasn't involved? She was just a shrinking violet. And
42:10
Speaker 1: she was along for the ride. And Epstein just had
42:12
Speaker 1: his hooks into her. That's what they're going to try
42:14
Speaker 1: and set it up as. And for those of us
42:18
Speaker 1: who have been following this forever, and I'm sure most
42:20
Speaker 1: of you who have shown up recently and have gotten
42:23
Speaker 1: a full look behind the curtain, you know that's not
42:26
Speaker 1: the case. So let's take a look at this article
42:29
Speaker 1: from Slate and author Seth Stevenson and see what he
42:33
Speaker 1: has to say. Headline, can Ghislaine Maxwell's defense succeed in
42:39
Speaker 1: painting her as the victim? On Friday, the prosecution in
42:44
Speaker 1: the Ghislaine Maxwell trial called to the stand a fourth
42:48
Speaker 1: and final accuser. Annie Farmer described among other disquieting incidents...
42:53
Speaker 1: A supremely creepy 1996 weekend... She spent visiting Jeffrey Epstein's ranch...
42:59
Speaker 1: In New Mexico... And remember now... Just so we're clear...
43:03
Speaker 1: The ranch in New Mexico has never been raided... I
43:06
Speaker 1: know some other people have reported to the contrary... But
43:09
Speaker 1: until someone can send me some actual proof... That that
43:12
Speaker 1: place has been raided... We're going to go with not raided...
43:16
Speaker 1: And you would think that the state of New Mexico...
43:19
Speaker 1: would be very, very interested in what went on here,
43:22
Speaker 1: but they punted to the federal authorities. After being lured
43:27
Speaker 1: there under the guise of some sort of vague student
43:30
Speaker 1: enrichment workshop, to be led, apparently, by Epstein, the then
43:34
Speaker 1: 16-year-old Farmer unexpectedly found that she was the ranch's lone guest.
43:41
Speaker 1: Isolated in the middle of the desert, Farmer says she
43:44
Speaker 1: was subjected to disturbing, unwanted attention from both Epstein and
43:48
Speaker 1: And Maxwell. Now I've been to this place myself. I've
43:52
Speaker 1: seen Zorro Ranch with my own two eyes. It is desolate.
43:56
Speaker 1: It is in the middle of nowhere. And there are
43:59
Speaker 1: no neighbors anywhere around. Now, if you wanted to get
44:04
Speaker 1: away from that ranch and say it was in the winter,
44:08
Speaker 1: you would have to be completely geared out, kitted out,
44:10
Speaker 1: and ready to go. It's the high desert. It gets
44:13
Speaker 1: cold as hell there. I was there in February and
44:16
Speaker 1: it was freezing. I was standing outside of the front
44:21
Speaker 1: entrance of Zorro Ranch for like 45 minutes. Getting pictures, etc, etc.
44:27
Speaker 1: And it was freezing. I'm talking in the low digits. 9,
44:33
Speaker 1: 10 degrees. So, imagine you're out there and you're one
44:36
Speaker 1: of these girls. And you're being abused and you want
44:39
Speaker 1: to get away. Well, where are you going to go?
44:42
Speaker 1: It's almost like being on that island in the Virgin Islands, right?
44:45
Speaker 1: What are you going to do? Swim? So... I can't
44:48
Speaker 1: even imagine what it must have been like for Annie
44:51
Speaker 1: to realize that she was in this desolate-ass place and
44:56
Speaker 1: with no help in sight. Farmer testified that one morning Epstein,
45:03
Speaker 1: then 43, flung open the door to the bedroom where
45:06
Speaker 1: Farmer was sleeping, leapt into bed with her, and gave
45:09
Speaker 1: her a big bear hug while pressing himself against her.
45:13
Speaker 1: She escaped him by claiming that she needed to use
45:15
Speaker 1: the bathroom. On another occasion, Farmer testified, Maxwell, then 34,
45:21
Speaker 1: encouraged Farmer to undress and get on a massage table.
45:24
Speaker 1: Maxwell then proceeded to rub the upper parts of Farmer's
45:28
Speaker 1: bare breasts. So, in what world can any defense attorney
45:35
Speaker 1: legitimize that kind of behavior? Why is Ghislaine Maxwell, a
45:38
Speaker 1: grown-ass woman in her 30s, 40s, trying to touch this
45:43
Speaker 1: little 16-year-old's breasts? getting her up on a massage table,
45:47
Speaker 1: getting her all primed and ready for sick-ass egg-dick Jeffrey Epstein.
45:52
Speaker 1: And you don't think that Jerry's going to be looking
45:54
Speaker 1: at this? The fourth girl to testify that this happened?
45:58
Speaker 1: The fourth woman to testify that this happened? And not
46:01
Speaker 1: only that, but very strong testimony to boot? In many ways,
46:09
Speaker 1: Farmer's testimony echoed that of the other accusers. It cast
46:12
Speaker 1: Maxwell in an essential role. pushing at a teen's sexual boundaries,
46:17
Speaker 1: prepping her for abuse, serving as sort of a henchwoman
46:20
Speaker 1: for Epstein. One of the events Farmer described was nearly
46:24
Speaker 1: identical to an incident we heard about from Kate, an
46:27
Speaker 1: earlier pseudonym accuser, excuse me, anonymous accuser. Each alleged that
46:34
Speaker 1: their initial physical contact with Epstein came when Maxwell urged
46:38
Speaker 1: them to give him a vigorous foot rub. And again
46:41
Speaker 1: with the foot rubs, again with the massages. We all
46:44
Speaker 1: know what the massage meant to Jeffrey Epstein and his
46:47
Speaker 1: cadre of disgusting animals. Massage was shorthand for sexual encounter.
46:54
Speaker 1: And the foot stuff, it's a big tell for me.
46:58
Speaker 1: When you have the girls, right, who have been abused
47:02
Speaker 1: telling the same story over and over and over and
47:04
Speaker 1: adding details like the whole foot rubbing thing, it's hard
47:08
Speaker 1: to discount that. But a few things set Farmer apart.
47:13
Speaker 1: For one, she was the only accuser who testified using
47:16
Speaker 1: her full, real name. Because her anonymity wasn't protected, courtroom
47:21
Speaker 1: observers could view all the photos of her that the
47:24
Speaker 1: government introduced as evidence. In one photo taken around the
47:28
Speaker 1: time of the alleged ranch incidents, we saw a smiling
47:31
Speaker 1: teenage face, framed by long blonde hair, looking like the
47:35
Speaker 1: literal picture of innocence. And to be honest and to
47:39
Speaker 1: be clear, Annie is a fantastic human being. I've gotten
47:44
Speaker 1: to know Annie a little bit over the time that
47:47
Speaker 1: I've been covering this story. Through her sister Maria, who
47:51
Speaker 1: I am very, very friendly with. And it's been very
47:55
Speaker 1: clear to me since the beginning that Maria and Annie
47:58
Speaker 1: have been telling the truth here. And all of this
48:01
Speaker 1: stuff occurred. And Epstein chose New Mexico for a fucking reason.
48:07
Speaker 1: And it's gross. The fact that he was able to
48:10
Speaker 1: get away with what he was able to get away
48:12
Speaker 1: with for so long, and the fact that places like
48:14
Speaker 1: New Mexico played right into his hands, is just unbelievably disturbing.
48:24
Speaker 1: Farmer was the only accuser who brought contemporaneous receipts. One
48:28
Speaker 1: of the prosecution's exhibits was Farmer's teenage diary, including an
48:32
Speaker 1: entry she wrote shortly after the first time she met Epstein,
48:36
Speaker 1: a few months before the ranch visit. Epstein had taken
48:39
Speaker 1: Farmer to a movie theater, and once the lights were down,
48:42
Speaker 1: caressed her hand and leg in the dark. Farmer wrote
48:45
Speaker 1: in her diary that it was a little weird, but
48:48
Speaker 1: I think he is just a relaxed guy and likes
48:50
Speaker 1: to flirt. As the adult Farmer read aloud this passage
48:53
Speaker 1: from the witness stand, you could hear her teen self
48:56
Speaker 1: desperately grasping for some way to rationalize Epstein's behavior. And
49:01
Speaker 1: that's something that people have to realize, right? I know
49:04
Speaker 1: a lot of people who come into this blind or
49:06
Speaker 1: cold who don't really understand what's going on might have
49:10
Speaker 1: some preconceived notions about, you know, women who accuse men
49:14
Speaker 1: of things like this. And I'm here to tell you
49:17
Speaker 1: that this is not that sort of thing. This isn't
49:19
Speaker 1: any looking for money. This isn't anyone looking to have
49:22
Speaker 1: their name brought up in this infamy. These are real
49:27
Speaker 1: life people who had their lives ruined by Jeffrey Epstein
49:30
Speaker 1: and in some cases, Ghislaine Maxwell. And these are people
49:34
Speaker 1: who are looking for justice. And when you heard Annie
49:37
Speaker 1: And you hear what she has to say about what
49:41
Speaker 1: Epstein did to her and what could have happened. It
49:44
Speaker 1: is so chilling. And I am thankful that she ultimately
49:49
Speaker 1: got away from the clutches of these sick bastards and
49:52
Speaker 1: that her and Maria had such bravery and courage to
49:57
Speaker 1: contact the authorities right away. Maybe the most important difference
50:03
Speaker 1: between Farmer's story and those of the other three accusers
50:06
Speaker 1: was the way it resolved. After that gothic horror weekend
50:10
Speaker 1: at the ranch, Farmer never saw Epstein or Maxwell again.
50:13
Speaker 1: She got away from them, not exactly unscathed, but at
50:16
Speaker 1: least intact, and perhaps as a result, seemed much less
50:20
Speaker 1: damaged on the stand, much less haunted than the other
50:24
Speaker 1: accusers did. This somehow made those other women's claims all
50:28
Speaker 1: the more upsetting, with a living counterpoint illustrating how their
50:32
Speaker 1: lives could have unfolded had they managed to detach from
50:35
Speaker 1: Maxwell and Epstein sooner. And it really was a point
50:40
Speaker 1: of comparison, right? Look at the way the other three
50:44
Speaker 1: ladies' lives turned out, the drug use, the abuse, the
50:48
Speaker 1: selling their bodies. And all of that stemmed, in my
50:52
Speaker 1: humble opinion anyway, from the abuse that they suffered at
50:55
Speaker 1: the hands of Maxwell and Epstein. These were little girls
50:58
Speaker 1: when they came into contact with Maxwell and Epstein, 14,
51:00
Speaker 1: 15 years old. Then, later on in life, when they're
51:05
Speaker 1: already battered, fragile, broken, and feel like they don't have
51:09
Speaker 1: anywhere they can turn or that they have no self-worth,
51:12
Speaker 1: what do they do? They sell their bodies. They do
51:15
Speaker 1: drugs to try and get rid of the pain. And thankfully,
51:19
Speaker 1: by God's intervention or whatever you want to call it,
51:23
Speaker 1: the intervention of the universe, Annie... wasn't caught up in
51:27
Speaker 1: all of that, and she was able to at least
51:31
Speaker 1: get away from these monsters. And after her mother and
51:34
Speaker 1: her high school boyfriend took the stand to corroborate her story,
51:38
Speaker 1: confirming she'd spoken to them about elements of these incidents
51:42
Speaker 1: back in the 90s, the prosecution rested its case. Maxwell's
51:46
Speaker 1: attorneys will be presenting theirs today. They'll try to convince
51:51
Speaker 1: the jury that Maxwell deserves no punishment. I doubt they'll succeed.
51:55
Speaker 1: And I definitely agree there. I doubt they'll succeed either.
51:58
Speaker 1: I really don't think that they have... They're going to
52:01
Speaker 1: be able to set it up where they come out
52:03
Speaker 1: on top here, folks. And... While I'm not obviously confident
52:08
Speaker 1: in the prosecution and the small scope, I think that
52:11
Speaker 1: the evidence is so mighty here. I think that the
52:15
Speaker 1: testimony is so powerful that it would take a huge
52:19
Speaker 1: swing in the next few days as they're presenting their
52:23
Speaker 1: witnesses for this to turn out any other way than
52:27
Speaker 1: Maxwell getting convicted. Now, obviously, that's just my guess, right?
52:31
Speaker 1: I don't have any, you know, powers to see the future.
52:35
Speaker 1: But when you look at everything that you have seen
52:38
Speaker 1: as far as Maxwell, Epstein, the nexus of the criminal enterprise,
52:43
Speaker 1: the conspiracy between them, it's rather obvious that she was
52:47
Speaker 1: a huge key component. The portrait of Maxwell that's emerged
52:52
Speaker 1: thus far is fantastically ugly. Even setting aside the charges
52:57
Speaker 1: that are central to the trial, some colorful details that
53:01
Speaker 1: the prosecution was able to introduce will not garner a
53:04
Speaker 1: jury sympathy. For instance, a 2001 email from Maxwell bitterly complaining,
53:10
Speaker 1: I am at a loss, that household staff had failed
53:13
Speaker 1: to keep one of Epstein's Mercedes stocked with bottle waters
53:16
Speaker 1: and pens. The prosecution also strongly suggested that greed fueled
53:20
Speaker 1: Maxwell's whole relationship with Epstein. Bank statements evidenced her receiving
53:25
Speaker 1: gifts from him that included $ 23. 5 million in cash and
53:30
Speaker 1: a $ 7. 4 million helicopter. Now, again, with this money being
53:36
Speaker 1: transferred to Ghislaine Maxwell like this, how are we not
53:40
Speaker 1: looking at a financial crime here? How are we not
53:43
Speaker 1: saying that Jeffrey Epstein got his money from ill-gotten gains,
53:48
Speaker 1: so therefore anyone receiving money from him is also part
53:52
Speaker 1: of the scheme. Oh yeah, that's right, we can't do
53:54
Speaker 1: that because they didn't charge them with RICO. I cannot
54:00
Speaker 1: imagine that Maxwell will take the stand in her own defense.
54:04
Speaker 1: A 2016 deposition Maxwell gave in a different Epstein-related case
54:09
Speaker 1: does not suggest she'd be an appealing advocate for herself.
54:13
Speaker 1: And she was really confrontational during that deposition. Very, very
54:17
Speaker 1: much so. Didn't really want to answer questions. You know,
54:20
Speaker 1: the whole nine. The whole I'm better than you line
54:23
Speaker 1: that she's been running her whole life. She was totally
54:25
Speaker 1: living it. The transcript makes her sound dismissive, entitled, high-handed,
54:33
Speaker 1: and at certain points, furiously angry. Her posh British accent
54:38
Speaker 1: and Oxford manner would be unlikely to play well if
54:41
Speaker 1: she tries to explain why she was befriending poor Florida teenagers. Really,
54:45
Speaker 1: that's what it comes down to. Why are you out
54:47
Speaker 1: there trying to meet up with poor, disadvantaged youth? You
54:51
Speaker 1: don't work for the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. You're
54:54
Speaker 1: not showing up with a bunch of flag football gear.
54:56
Speaker 1: You're not showing up with a whole bunch of kickballs?
55:00
Speaker 1: You're showing up there because you're looking to exploit these children.
55:03
Speaker 1: Let's just be real about it. And that's what all
55:06
Speaker 1: of the evidence points to. As a 59-year-old female accused
55:12
Speaker 1: of molestation, adjacent crimes, no matter that the alleged incidents
55:16
Speaker 1: occurred many years ago, Maxwell has a demographic strike against her.
55:20
Speaker 1: Society seems especially unsympathetic when it comes to anything involving
55:25
Speaker 1: sex and older women, as we should be. You look
55:29
Speaker 1: at an older woman, at least I do, and the
55:32
Speaker 1: first thing I think about is, oh, that's, you know,
55:34
Speaker 1: someone that's probably a decent human, my grandma. You don't
55:39
Speaker 1: think of, this lady's going to be involved in molesting children,
55:43
Speaker 1: trafficking children, and the rest of it. But when you
55:47
Speaker 1: start hearing the story, and when the jury starts getting
55:50
Speaker 1: the story, whole different ballgame, right? But all of this
55:59
Speaker 1: goes to the heart of the matter. The testimony of
56:02
Speaker 1: the four accusers is what the prosecution's case is built on. And,
56:06
Speaker 1: barring some spectacular forthcoming revelation from the defense, what the
56:10
Speaker 1: jury will base its decision on. Those four accusers were
56:14
Speaker 1: extremely credible. Their emotions were palpable. And there was hard
56:18
Speaker 1: evidence to back up the broad outlines of their claims.
56:21
Speaker 1: Flight logs, FedEx bills, phone messages taken by Epstein's staff.
56:26
Speaker 1: And again, those are the foundational blocks we have talked
56:29
Speaker 1: about from the beginning. And I think that for all
56:33
Speaker 1: of my criticism of the prosecution, I think they did
56:35
Speaker 1: a decent job laying the foundational blocks. My biggest issue
56:39
Speaker 1: is it's not broad enough. I wanted more character witness.
56:43
Speaker 1: I wanted more testimony from some of the more high-profile
56:49
Speaker 1: people in this case. But I guess the prosecution thought
56:54
Speaker 1: that they had a strong enough case with what they brought.
56:57
Speaker 1: We're going to see, but I think the testimony is
57:00
Speaker 1: going to be the most important part when all is
57:03
Speaker 1: said and done. Defense attorneys ran the standard playbook that
57:08
Speaker 1: gets hauled out for any sexual abuse accusation. They questioned
57:12
Speaker 1: the woman's memories, cast aspersions on their lifestyles, and hinted
57:17
Speaker 1: that they're gold diggers. Intimating that they only came forward
57:20
Speaker 1: with their claims... because they thought they could profit from them.
57:24
Speaker 1: None of these tactics drew much blood, as best I
57:27
Speaker 1: could tell. Now, remember, the author was in the courtroom,
57:30
Speaker 1: was getting a look at what was going on. You know,
57:32
Speaker 1: you could see facial expressions, and I think that's a
57:34
Speaker 1: big deal, right? To be able to see the facial
57:37
Speaker 1: expressions as these quote-unquote bombs land inside of a courtroom.
57:42
Speaker 1: And without being able to see how they react and
57:45
Speaker 1: how the jurors take it, you're kind of in a
57:48
Speaker 1: game of speculation. The defense's strongest argument isn't that these
57:54
Speaker 1: four women were unharmed. It's that the harm was done
57:57
Speaker 1: by Jeffrey Epstein and that Ghislaine Maxwell was an innocent bystander.
58:01
Speaker 1: That Maxwell was just one of many Epstein employees who,
58:05
Speaker 1: to one degree or another, turned a blind eye to
58:08
Speaker 1: Epstein's behavior without, precisely, encouraging or aiding it. I mean, wow.
58:15
Speaker 1: I told you guys for literally a year now that
58:17
Speaker 1: they had nothing. They have no tangible defense. Game holes.
58:22
Speaker 1: I mean, loopholes. Technicalities. That's all they've had. And they
58:26
Speaker 1: still have nothing. They're going to continue to try and
58:29
Speaker 1: make it out like she was Epstein's victim. But that
58:32
Speaker 1: ship has sailed. We all know better than that. If
58:34
Speaker 1: she was Epstein's victim, why didn't she come out after
58:37
Speaker 1: his first arrest and speak to the authorities? Why not
58:40
Speaker 1: after the second arrest? Why hide and skulk around in
58:43
Speaker 1: holes and act like you're guilty? It's true that Maxwell's
58:52
Speaker 1: name isn't on all those flight logs and FedEx receipts,
58:55
Speaker 1: and that Epstein was very clearly capable of destroying teenage
58:58
Speaker 1: girls even without Maxwell's help. But then there are those
59:03
Speaker 1: vivid testimonial scenes of Maxwell coaxing girls into rubbing Epstein's
59:07
Speaker 1: feet and leading them to the door of Epstein's house.
59:10
Speaker 1: massage room and sending a car to pick them up
59:13
Speaker 1: because they were too young to drive themselves like really
59:18
Speaker 1: you have Maxwell paying these girls she's been known to
59:21
Speaker 1: say oh I'm out looking for new biles and all
59:27
Speaker 1: of the testimony that's been locked up here and locked
59:29
Speaker 1: in I don't know how the jury could look at
59:32
Speaker 1: Maxwell as anything but a huge part in all of this.
59:37
Speaker 1: No doubt Maxwell's lawyers will argue that she was a
59:39
Speaker 1: victim here too. That, to the extent she did anything wrong,
59:43
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein manipulated her into doing it. There may be
59:46
Speaker 1: some truth to this around the edges, but short of
59:49
Speaker 1: evidence that Epstein threatened or extorted Maxwell, this isn't really
59:52
Speaker 1: a defense. Maxwell wasn't a teenage girl. She was an
59:55
Speaker 1: adult woman. She had resources. She was old enough and
59:59
Speaker 1: smart enough to know better. If she did these things
1:00:02
Speaker 1: she's accused of, and my strong feeling based on what
1:00:05
Speaker 1: I have seen and heard in the trial so far
1:00:07
Speaker 1: is that she did, she needs to answer for them.
1:00:10
Speaker 1: And again, we're not going to let that slide, the whole, oh,
1:00:13
Speaker 1: Maxwell was a victim here. No way. This is like,
1:00:17
Speaker 1: it's like calling Circe Lannister a victim. She was raised
1:00:21
Speaker 1: at Bob Maxwell's knee the same way Circe was raised
1:00:24
Speaker 1: at Tywin's. And she knew exactly what she was getting
1:00:26
Speaker 1: involved in here. She knew exactly what she was up to.
1:00:29
Speaker 1: And she had ample time to rat Jeffrey Epstein out
1:00:32
Speaker 1: if that's what she wanted to do. But that was
1:00:34
Speaker 1: never the case, right? She was a part of this.
1:00:37
Speaker 1: A huge part of it. In a leadership role. Eventually,
1:00:42
Speaker 1: the jurors will sit down in a room to deliberate,
1:00:45
Speaker 1: at which point they'll need to decide how they feel. Yes,
1:00:48
Speaker 1: they will weigh the evidence and pour over the text
1:00:50
Speaker 1: of the charges, but in the end, it will come
1:00:52
Speaker 1: down to a vibe. Will they feel fondness for Ghislaine Maxwell?
1:00:56
Speaker 1: Will they be looking for ways to grant her mercy?
1:00:59
Speaker 1: Or will they long to punish her? To show her that,
1:01:03
Speaker 1: as one accuser said while sobbing, what she did was wrong.
1:01:08
Speaker 1: And I hope that's the way it turns out. I
1:01:10
Speaker 1: hope that Ghislaine Maxwell is convicted here. And I hope
1:01:14
Speaker 1: that these survivors get justice. It has been elusive and
1:01:21
Speaker 1: it has been denied to them for way, way too long.
1:01:24
Speaker 1: So hopefully when the jury gets this, they look at
1:01:27
Speaker 1: all of the evidence and they come back with a
1:01:31
