- 0:01Welcome to Rick and That Michelle Chick, the weekly
- 0:05podcast where your hosts, Rick and Michelle, confidently dive
- 0:10into topics they know absolutely nothing about and somehow make
- 0:15it sound legit. They're not experts.
- 0:17They're not qualified. Honestly, they barely googled
- 0:20it. So grab a drink, lower your
- 0:23expectations, and let's pretend this counts as content.
- 0:28So buckle up. Facts are optional, but the
- 0:31bullshit? That's premium grade.
- 0:34This is Rick and that Michelle chick.
- 0:41OK, big question. Did you watch Saturday Night
- 0:45Live over the weekend? Oh, so here's what I did,
- 0:49Michelle. I popped it.
- 0:50I got out the old VCR, got out the video cassette tape.
- 0:54I thought it was such a momentous show that I, I had to
- 0:57record it because I was so excited about it and to, to save
- 1:00it forever, you know, yes. And well, it was the one
- 1:04thousandth episode and so people were complaining.
- 1:09My Alexander Skarsgard hosting should be someone like Tina Fey,
- 1:13right? With Paul?
- 1:13Wow, I don't care. He's your, he's your guy.
- 1:20You were you were sitting there drooling all the whole the whole
- 1:22hour. I mean, I probably was like
- 1:24smiling from like ear to ear like a schoolgirl.
- 1:27And yes, I watched it at 8:30 and then I watched it again at
- 1:3011:30. So it was great.
- 1:33I loved it. His dad, Stellen Skarsgard made
- 1:36an appearance that it was hilarious and also his good
- 1:39friend. I I I'm not sure his name.
- 1:42I think it's a Jack but I could be completely wrong so don't
- 1:46like quote me on that. But he was also he made an
- 1:49appearance. He's in murderbot with him and
- 1:52he also hosts a show. I can't.
- 1:55It's like the Zillow house show shit.
- 1:57It's like escaping my mind at this time.
- 1:59But you can Google it and figure it out yourself.
- 2:02I don't have to tell you something.
- 2:03It'd be, it'd be awesome to be married to you.
- 2:06I'm home for the weekend. I'm gone all week long.
- 2:09I only have like basically 18 hours and maybe maybe 18 hours
- 2:13if I'm lucky with my wife. And here we are watching
- 2:15Alexander Skarsgard twice, not just once.
- 2:19And you know, I, I was just thinking about poor Jay over
- 2:22there, you know, while you're while you're licking the TV, you
- 2:26know, he. Was like sitting next to me like
- 2:29Oh my God I can't believe she's making me watch this.
- 2:32I mean. He could have got it done
- 2:33something else. He didn't have to sit there and
- 2:35watch it with me, no. I did it.
- 2:36Oh, because he's a good he's a good, caring, kind husband and
- 2:39he's. Supporting Support this world I
- 2:41was watching. Now, now you don't, you don't
- 2:45have a TV or T Well, I know TiVo is long gone, but do you, do you
- 2:48have a background recorder or anything?
- 2:51No. So you didn't?
- 2:52Record it spectrum. So it would have been the DVR,
- 2:55right? We.
- 2:55Yeah, DVR, right? Yeah.
- 2:57We don't have that like added feature to Spectrum because it's
- 3:00like, why? I mean, I could go back.
- 3:02I'm sure I could go back and watch it.
- 3:04It's all over YouTube I. Demand on spectrum.
- 3:07I could, like, watch it over and over and over and over and over.
- 3:10Yeah, that nice thing about the nice thing about today's
- 3:12technology, you can find almost any recording anytime.
- 3:16And watch them over. So, so you got your fix.
- 3:22It was like she was like, she was like this.
- 3:24Yeah, it was great. Get me, get me lined up for the
- 3:27he has. Such a great sense of humor.
- 3:29So it was so good to finally see him on Saturday Night Live.
- 3:33Like this is the first time he's hosted, so yeah.
- 3:36Yeah. And then I was thinking, OK,
- 3:38like, I I love him. I love Pedro Pascal and I love
- 3:41Tom Ellis. Who's going to be in that new
- 3:43CIA show? On CBS talking something I'm
- 3:46excited about. Yeah, I know.
- 3:48But you know, I don't watch any of those shows like the CSI,
- 3:51like the FBI, the blue. And now I'm going to have to
- 3:54watch the CIA. Yes, yes, I'm going to have to
- 3:57watch the CIA show. And I was in my mind, I was
- 4:00thinking, OK, like the three of them, how would I, like, rank
- 4:03them in order? And it would be Alex, of course,
- 4:07at #1. So he's your number one?
- 4:09But then who would be too, because I love Pedro Pascal and
- 4:12I love Tom Ellis. Like Tom Ellis has that great
- 4:15British accent and I loved him and Lucifer.
- 4:19I think from, I think Pedro. Pascal I I don't.
- 4:22I mean, I get you love, Pedro. Pascal.
- 4:24But to me, I'm going to go with Tom Ellis.
- 4:27I mean, if I'm going. To put a second.
- 4:28If I'm going to hit it and quit it, I'm going to go Tom Ellis.
- 4:31Tom Ellis is a good Yeah, I mean, I'm one of those people
- 4:35that that I am man enough I can recognize when a guy is good
- 4:39looking when a. Guy is.
- 4:41Gorgeous George Clooney to me, if I, if I, if, if, if my hair
- 4:44goes, I want to have the pepper grey.
- 4:46The whole George Clooney look, I think, I think George Clooney
- 4:49is, at least for me, a good looking guy.
- 4:52So if you're talking for me between, you know, Pedro Pascal
- 4:56and Tom Ellis, I got to go with Lucifer, man.
- 4:59And I'm excited for that show because I do like those kind of
- 5:01shows. So I'm excited for that show and
- 5:03I will watch it. Of all the CIA ones.
- 5:05I will watch that one because I'm very curious to see him
- 5:08outside of the Lucifer persona. Yes, to see how he acts, because
- 5:12again, it's not the same character.
- 5:14He's been in other stuff though too, since Lucifer.
- 5:18Yeah, there was something. He's on.
- 5:21I love. I only know Lucifer, but I think
- 5:23it'd be great to see him. Yeah, it'll be great to see him
- 5:25in the starring role. I'm super, I'm super excited
- 5:27now. Now, as you already know, that
- 5:30production has had some issues, a lot of Co stars coming and
- 5:32going, show runners coming and going.
- 5:34So I'm hoping it's going to be a good, good series, and I hope
- 5:37it's not tanked right off the beginning.
- 5:38OK, well, I didn't know any of that.
- 5:40So yeah, I just know he's in the show and it's CIA, that's all.
- 5:43I. Know about it?
- 5:44Yeah. Do a little quick thing.
- 5:45Co stars have quit. Different things have quit.
- 5:48Things have happened, you know, off to a off to a rocky start.
- 5:51But again, that doesn't mean it's not going to be a hit.
- 5:53It is part of the CIA, that whole Dick Wolf and all that
- 5:57franchise. So it'll be, yeah, I think it'll
- 6:00be fine. So basically it's like a 911
- 6:03spin off, like 911 Nashville. Oh my gosh.
- 6:06So, so let's talk about 911 just really super quick.
- 6:09So the, the original 911 is, is, is pretty good.
- 6:12Now. Now I, I am notorious Michelle.
- 6:15I am one of those people that I will watch something when it's
- 6:17hot, like for two seconds and then and then I'll watch the
- 6:21first, first season or whatever and then I'll get bored with it.
- 6:24So there's so many shows like let's say Grey's Anatomy.
- 6:27I love the first Four Seasons of Grey's Anatomy.
- 6:30And then for me, once they start mixing in different characters
- 6:33or people come and start coming and going.
- 6:35Or people die. Your favorite character dies.
- 6:38Or any of those situations for me, like we talked about Walking
- 6:41Dead when Rick left, I'm like, OK, I mean, I and then I watched
- 6:44the next episode, I'm like, OK, I'm out.
- 6:46So, so for me, that's the. So for me, I'm always infamous
- 6:49that I'll always try out a show first, especially like the CIA
- 6:53or I want to see what the first episode is and then I bail.
- 6:55So for me, 911, they have a Nashville version.
- 6:59Did you watch? Did you watch?
- 7:00No, I've not watched. And I got brought into 911
- 7:04thanks to my daughter Shaylee last last year.
- 7:08So I've only been watching 911 for maybe two years.
- 7:13And so a lot of the times she has to fill me in on some of the
- 7:16back story stuff because I'm watching it going what, what,
- 7:20wait, what? What's going on?
- 7:22And so so now I'm watching it like the last couple weeks I've
- 7:27been watching it, but now she isn't watching it.
- 7:29And I'm and we would we used, we used to watch it together.
- 7:32It was like the one bonding thing that I could get her to do
- 7:35with me. And now she's kind of like, I
- 7:38think after the spoiler alert, after they killed Bobby off, I
- 7:42think she kind of was, you know, I don't want to watch this
- 7:45anymore kind of thing, kind of like you so.
- 7:50Yeah, it was kind of so so there's 911 then they they was
- 7:53911 Lone Star, which had Rob Lowe, which was good to watch.
- 7:56I watched that. I I enjoyed that for a little
- 7:59bit and then I thought, OK, I'll give the 911 Nashville a a time
- 8:02a shot. And the debut was it was good.
- 8:04It was good. I enjoyed it.
- 8:05It had LeAnn Rimes like as A and.
- 8:07Kim, Willie Paisley. Groupie and stuff and I'm like,
- 8:10OK, this is too weird. And then it had Kane Brown,
- 8:13which is kind of cool. Kane Kane Brown was saving
- 8:14people. But then I realized, man, this
- 8:16is schlocky, OK? So I was thinking to myself, how
- 8:19many times can something hit Nashville?
- 8:22Yes, yeah, yeah. It's kind of like I'm really if
- 8:26you, if you want a good looking dude, Michelle, you should watch
- 8:31the show Fire Country. Oh, I mean, I've seen, I've seen
- 8:35the that. Firefighter there, but yeah, he
- 8:37isn't. Watched it.
- 8:39So yeah, so I enjoyed the the first couple seasons of fire
- 8:42fire country and then it's branched off to sheriff country,
- 8:46which I'm really enjoying. I'm like I'm really loving the
- 8:48spin off. And then isn't there a like
- 8:50Marshalls? But is that?
- 8:51Oh, that's. Coming to.
- 8:52Start. Or is that from the fire
- 8:54country? So, so Marshalls is coming from
- 8:56the guy who got you gave you Yellowstone.
- 8:58Oh, OK. And land man, right?
- 9:01Yeah. Oh, Ted or Sheridan.
- 9:03Yes, yeah. I'm super excited.
- 9:05I'm super excited. Or.
- 9:06Taylor. Isn't his name Taylor?
- 9:07Oh, Taylor, I'm sorry, Taylor Tyler, but I love, I love, I
- 9:13love. I like it looks good.
- 9:14Marshalls I like this, but we've talked about I kind of like
- 9:17those kind of shows. I'm I I am.
- 9:19A lot of people don't realize how much of A dude I really am
- 9:21because I like procedural shows. I like action shows, comedy.
- 9:26I I enjoy comedy but it's never my like what I watch a lot of.
- 9:32So, you know, I think like now the Sorry, sorry, the comedy.
- 9:36Now Matthew will tell us to watch a show.
- 9:39It was the The Good Place with Ted Danson and.
- 9:44Kristen Bell, Yeah. But I did not like the humor.
- 9:47Matthew will tell us certain shows, yes, what?
- 9:50And I'll be like, I don't really just like The Office.
- 9:53I could not get into The Office. I know it's this super popular
- 9:56show, but I just couldn't. Some of the humor.
- 9:59I'm just like, I can't sit through this.
- 10:02So it's interesting that you mentioned that because for me
- 10:04the the good place is absolutely awesome.
- 10:08It really is that good. We have different and the office
- 10:11for me is great until, until Steve Carell leaves.
- 10:14So I'm, I'm, I'm always one of those people like the first few
- 10:17seasons, like, oh, I'm into it. And then the by the 3rd or 4th I
- 10:19got, OK, I'm out, I'm out. So, so I, I've never been, it's
- 10:24it's hard for me to get through all seasons of anything.
- 10:28Have you ever watched a series and seen every episode of it?
- 10:32Yeah, True Blood. OK, there's a great example.
- 10:35OK, no, I know how much you love True Blood, so there's a there's
- 10:37a great example. It is hard for me.
- 10:39Let's say a show has seven season.
- 10:41Yeah, it's hard for me to get through.
- 10:43I, I generally get bored and I'm out within the first couple of
- 10:46seasons or, or like a good book, I'll sneak ahead and see what
- 10:50happens. And then I go, oh, they got
- 10:51married. Or or.
- 10:53Somebody died or blah blah blah. I'm like, OK, now I'm I.
- 10:56It kind of ruined it for me. Now you can just take audio book
- 10:59and Fast forward to the end of the audio book now.
- 11:02So I mean. I, I'm, I'm infamous for that
- 11:05even when it comes to, even when it comes to movies, I'm like,
- 11:07yeah, just give me the spoilers, let me know what happened.
- 11:09So then and then so I go to the movies and like, I'm not really
- 11:12that surprised because like I already, I already read about
- 11:14it. Which yeah, we talked about that
- 11:15when we were discussing Fantastic Four and how you said
- 11:18you already knew like everything.
- 11:21And when you go to concerts, you look up the set list so that you
- 11:24know which I do that sometimes, but I'm not like, I will not do
- 11:28that with like movies or whatever.
- 11:30I don't. I just want to go and check out
- 11:33for a while. As Megan tells me, Wikipedia is
- 11:36not reading, but I do read a lot of Wikipedia, so.
- 11:40And it's not always true either. You have to be careful.
- 11:43You have to be careful for. Me, I do use it a lot for for
- 11:46like you said, episode guides or I'll be like, oh, what's this
- 11:49new TV show? And I'll read through a couple
- 11:51of the synopsis and Oh yeah, do I like it or I don't like it.
- 11:56During COVID, you know, when there weren't a lot of shows on,
- 12:01Yeah, I went through and rewatched True Blood, which has
- 12:04seven seasons, and I watched like every single episode
- 12:08because there's nothing else to watch either, so I might as well
- 12:10watch something I like, so. You get get through it.
- 12:14Yeah, Going back to Tom Ellis, I'll give.
- 12:16I'll put him in second place for if you want.
- 12:18OK, OK, there you go. OK, that's that that.
- 12:21Helps. Does that settle it?
- 12:22Yeah. Thank you.
- 12:23What's? What's the deal before we get to
- 12:25the next subject? OK, I do have to ask, because I
- 12:28have to ask about Pedro Pascal. I do like his stuff.
- 12:31I enjoy him. I I can't imagine it being a
- 12:35physical attraction thing. Why?
- 12:38Why do you say that? Like he, he's handsome?
- 12:41Like, is he? Do you not think he is?
- 12:45Not when you're talking, not when you're talking.
- 12:48I don't know, I mean. I mean, he's not as tall as
- 12:51Alexander Skarsgard. It's not.
- 12:53Tall. It's good looking.
- 12:55He is good looking. I don't know.
- 12:57And he has a good sense of humor, and I think he's good
- 13:00looking. I'll take a poll on this.
- 13:03Yeah, because I think you're going to be shocked.
- 13:05I think I've seen him. I, I, so I, I mean, I, the, the
- 13:09cool thing about Pedro Pascal, which I will give him credit,
- 13:11man, talk about a guy who's paid his dues.
- 13:14Because it's so funny when you go back and watch old TV shows
- 13:17of whatever there he is like in in a side character role.
- 13:21I mean, earning his due, which I do.
- 13:23I love. I love characters that you're
- 13:24like, oh, this guy's suddenly popular.
- 13:26Oh, he's overnight sensation. No, he's been working in the
- 13:29bits 20 plus years and you see him on all these TV shows and
- 13:32all these bit parts. I just, I don't know from a
- 13:34physicality. I don't, I mean, I don't get it.
- 13:38Like like you want to see him without a shirt on?
- 13:40You're not attracted to him, so your question is.
- 13:43I'm not. Do you want to see him without a
- 13:44shirt? Yeah, is that even a real
- 13:48question? I don't get it when you when you
- 13:52put them against the three you just mentioned.
- 13:53I'm like I. Don't know the two and other
- 13:57two, yeah. Yes, I'm like, you know, I get,
- 14:00I get Tarzan, I get. Lucifer, which he did.
- 14:03Alexander did do a skit of him being Tarzan, and so he just had
- 14:07a little loincloth. Yeah.
- 14:09Yeah, that made your day. OK.
- 14:10All right. OK.
- 14:11Yeah, so I so I will, I will admit that yes, I've seen both
- 14:14of them men shirtless, but I've not seen Pedro.
- 14:18I'll find a picture and send it to you.
- 14:20I guess it's I guess it's because I've seen him in the in
- 14:23the comic book movie. So I saw him in Wonder Woman
- 14:25where he was the bad guy Maxwell Lord.
- 14:27And then I saw him in in Fantastic Four, so I really
- 14:30don't have a great reference, I guess in terms of sexiness.
- 14:34OK, well I'll send you a picture and then we can we'll settle it.
- 14:37OK, we beat this topic to death. Let's move on.
- 14:40A bunch of stuff happened on Friday of last week, which our
- 14:44new episodes always drop on Thursday.
- 14:47And so there's a lot of stuff I wanted to go back and talk
- 14:50about. Obviously Catherine O'Hara died.
- 14:53That was crushing to me because I loved her as Moira and she I
- 14:59love. I want to be, when I get a
- 15:00little bit older, I want to be a combination of Moira from
- 15:04Schitt's Creek and Jennifer Coolidge.
- 15:06Like that's, I want to be like a combination of those two as an
- 15:09old lady. I think that would be fabulous,
- 15:10so. She she's.
- 15:12So sad. I was like, no.
- 15:15She's amazing and I love the fact that if you see or her in
- 15:19other movies like best to show, when you're talking about humor,
- 15:21when you talk about quirky humor, there's movies like the
- 15:25second wind, Second Wind or the Mighty, I'm sorry, it's Mighty
- 15:29Wind. And and like you said, best in
- 15:33show, very quirky comedies. She's always in them and she's
- 15:37always. Even like Beetlejuice, her
- 15:39character, yeah. Well, yeah, she's fantastic.
- 15:41Yeah, she's fat. Yeah.
- 15:42She's. Yeah, she's amazing.
- 15:44And then what? Macaulay Culkin said.
- 15:47He can bring you to tears. With what?
- 15:48He said. I know I got all like teary eyed
- 15:51when they were reading his statement and I was.
- 15:54Like, no, I, I got to say, for I am most impressed by Macaulay
- 15:59Culkin these days. Married to Brenda and they've
- 16:02got kids. He's totally like before he used
- 16:05to shun any spotlight. Like what?
- 16:07So what? You just never saw him.
- 16:08He shunned it. Duh, duh, duh, duh.
- 16:10Now it's cool to see him do interviews and talk about
- 16:13because everybody has this opinion that he hates home alone
- 16:16and all these different things and he doesn't, he doesn't think
- 16:19that at all. He's like, no, it is a great
- 16:21different things. And so I love that you start
- 16:24seeing him, you know, out and about more.
- 16:27Right. Yeah.
- 16:28And, and his, yeah, his, his, his comments were amazing.
- 16:31Yeah, yeah. And then I told my husband, you
- 16:33know, after the Seahawks won the playoff game that sent them to
- 16:37the Super Bowl, I told him I said watch, they're going to put
- 16:42them up for sale. Do you believe that?
- 16:46Jody, they just, they just announced it on Friday.
- 16:48We're talking about stuff that happened on Friday.
- 16:50But but, but then they just, but they just released over the
- 16:53weekend an announcement saying it is not up for sale.
- 16:56Well, they said, they said that per Paul Allen's wishes in his
- 17:01will, that it's inevitable. And so my thought after.
- 17:06This one, it is one for sale, but not as quick as people are
- 17:09saying. That they're going to go to the
- 17:11soup. They're so they're going to be
- 17:12worth more money. Like I would want to sell them
- 17:15go, you know, you got to go out on top and make the most money
- 17:17as possible. I get it.
- 17:19They've already sold the Trail Blazers, so I get it.
- 17:22But it's sad, but this is inevitable.
- 17:25This is bound to half and we know this is going to happen.
- 17:28It's in his wishes or will or whatever it is and so plus when
- 17:33the. NFL is pushing for I don't know
- 17:35why the NFL is pushing for it and I.
- 17:36Don't know if. You realize that it as as per
- 17:39the trust, when they do sell the Seahawks, it all goes to
- 17:43charity. It's not it's not like it's
- 17:44going. I mean, well, number one, you
- 17:47know, Joe Jody's wealthy beyond you know what I'm saying,
- 17:49because of her brother. But but it's not like it like it
- 17:53goes to some rich bill. I mean, I at least like that.
- 17:56Well, that's what I was going to say.
- 17:57People were comparing the Patriots owner to to her, the
- 18:03Seahawks owner and how like she's just so much more
- 18:07charitable. And was it is it the owner?
- 18:10Wait, isn't the owner of of the Patriots like the guy that was
- 18:15the massage craft, the happy ending guy?
- 18:17Right, That's the massage guy. That's Robert Kraft.
- 18:20Yeah, that's Robert Kraft. I.
- 18:21Just realized that. I'm sorry.
- 18:23I just realized that in like. Real time.
- 18:25That's the guy. That's the Patriots guy, you
- 18:27know, Give me some. Right.
- 18:32And so here's this, you know, this person that donates, you
- 18:35know, look at Paul Allen's entire life and charity and
- 18:38everything that he's done, right.
- 18:41So it's a no brainer that when they do sell them, it would all
- 18:45go to charity. And that's for.
- 18:47Me, I, I for me. I mean, I just look at it like
- 18:51like Bill Gates and and Jody Allen is so Seattle, you know
- 18:54what I'm saying? Like you'd want it to stay
- 18:57there. Do you really want, do you
- 18:58really want? Well, some people are saying
- 19:00Jeff Bezos, you know. No, I don't want him to buy
- 19:03them. Either I you know, it's like,
- 19:06yeah, so it's you know, there's a great, there's an old great
- 19:08saying battle to to battle the devil, you know that the devil
- 19:11you don't. And so if you so it's like, I
- 19:14think it'd be sad to see, you know, the Seahawks sell.
- 19:19Well, there's other like there's a board of owners, like it's not
- 19:23just her that owns them, right? Or whatever it's called.
- 19:26I don't know if it's the board, but so couldn't they?
- 19:29Like, what if one of them was like, hey, you know, like, I
- 19:32still want to like have the Seahawks, so I'll buy you out.
- 19:37Like couldn't one of them do that or.
- 19:39If you got $8 billion, it's eight.
- 19:42It's 8 billion is the, it's the, you know, it's the fourth.
- 19:44Going offer until they win the Super Bowl and then it's 8
- 19:48billion. Dollars.
- 19:49Yeah, exactly. So they're the they're the 14th
- 19:51most expensive, believe it or not, the 14th most expensive
- 19:54franchise in the NFL. They're not even number one.
- 19:57I think you already know who number one is in the NFL
- 19:59franchise. Would that be the Patriots?
- 20:02We're the Cowboys? I'm sorry, I know I noticed your
- 20:05shirt and I'm like your. Cowboys.
- 20:08Cowboys is the number one, is the number one.
- 20:11I think it's worth like 21 billion or something like that.
- 20:14You know, because even though we suck and lose, people love the
- 20:17merch. Yeah.
- 20:20So, but yes, 8 billion if the Seahawks go, I, I, I don't know,
- 20:23I, I, I like the ownership. I hope it doesn't go but.
- 20:27No, I'm not saying I wanted to go.
- 20:29I just knew that this was that's what they're coming down the
- 20:32tracks and so. And now and now we'll see who's
- 20:34a liar because at because they did release a statement saying
- 20:37she says in time it will sell. You know, that's yes, the wishes
- 20:41of the will or the trust, yes, but she's not.
- 20:43But she's not saying right after the Super Bowl.
- 20:45So we'll be curious if they do win if she does flip around and
- 20:48sell. Right.
- 20:49OK. Well, like I said, I'd want to
- 20:52sell high. And then on Friday, journalist
- 20:57Don Lemon was arrested, which was crazy to me because he was
- 21:03reporting on the protest in Minnesota.
- 21:08And it's kind of a little bit scary that they are arresting
- 21:10journalists now. And I did see him on Jimmy
- 21:15Kimmel last night talking a little bit about it.
- 21:17What? What were you going to say?
- 21:19I it it what do you you act like you're surprised anymore I any
- 21:23of these things. I'm not surprised.
- 21:24It's it's. Kind of a not I mean.
- 21:27It's cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs out there.
- 21:29What are you talking about? I mean.
- 21:31It's, I did see that, like they had shopped around trying to
- 21:35arrest him to like two different judges and something else.
- 21:40And finally a grand jury did, which the joke, the running joke
- 21:43is like a grand jury will indict a ham sandwich.
- 21:46Like you don't need a lot of evidence.
- 21:48You need that evidence want you to once you go to court.
- 21:51So you better darn well have that evidence.
- 21:53So yeah, we'll kind of see how this plays out on Jimmy Kimmel.
- 21:57He couldn't really, you know, obviously legally he couldn't
- 22:00talk about certain things and so he was just kind of restricted
- 22:03on what he could and couldn't say.
- 22:05But I think this is going to make his show even more popular
- 22:09now. I mean, his YouTube show, this
- 22:12is like free great press for him.
- 22:15I I mean, I'm going to watch him more now, so.
- 22:18But I do I I and again, I'm a I'm a huge fan of Don Lemon.
- 22:22But but I mean, I don't know, entering a church like to
- 22:28disrupt the service. I mean, it's not not that he'd
- 22:30necessarily need to be arrested for it, but I mean, I don't
- 22:34know, it's like I'm kind of but he.
- 22:38But he didn't. But he wasn't.
- 22:40He was reporting on what was. Going on, I know he followed the
- 22:43protesters in. Right, he.
- 22:45Followed a man and got. Arrested.
- 22:47And he says like in his reporting, I'm reporting on the
- 22:51protest. It's not like he's like I'm
- 22:53participating or. I get it.
- 22:55But that but that's the that's the, that's the struggle we're
- 22:58having right now because they're going to shoot at anybody,
- 23:01anything and anybody, you know what I'm saying?
- 23:02No matter what and what you know, And it's like, yeah, I
- 23:07mean, and then and then they're, I mean, no one, no one at this
- 23:10time is being held accountable for anything.
- 23:12So if Don Lennon, if Don Lemon got shot, you know, the
- 23:17administration, we would be dancing the jig.
- 23:19And they call it, they call him a terrorist.
- 23:21And. He deserved it.
- 23:23He didn't comply and he was in the wrong.
- 23:25You know why? Why do the blah blah, blah,
- 23:27blah, blah, blah? It's all like you said, it's all
- 23:29excuses. Yeah, yeah.
- 23:32To just to justify homicide. Right.
- 23:35I mean, regardless of whether you agree or disagree with Don
- 23:39Lemon, arresting journalist is a slippery slope that we've
- 23:42already gone down. We're down the slide like 1000
- 23:46times over. Announcement that that there's
- 23:49talk of that, that Trump has said that they should take the
- 23:53votes nationwide or some, you know, I'm saying they should
- 23:55nationalize the, the voting in states or whatever.
- 23:59Like what you know, it state, it states handle voting, not, not
- 24:03the federal level. And so, yeah, I mean, I mean,
- 24:07it's, it's all like you said, it's all, it's all a grift.
- 24:10And different states have different voting laws and that
- 24:15kind of stuff. And so it's not all going to be
- 24:18the same. So when you see something in
- 24:20Georgia is something different than Colorado, well, yeah,
- 24:22that's because the states regulate their own elections and
- 24:25they all have different rules and laws, and they govern
- 24:29themselves. And unless Congress makes a
- 24:32blanket law, then that's how it's going to be so.
- 24:35Do you do you think, do you think the president just says
- 24:39shit to get people riled up and that he has no, I well, we know
- 24:42and he has no idea what he's talking about.
- 24:44So he'll just say shit and then people it'll make the news.
- 24:47That's one thing you got. I think that's one thing that I
- 24:50was really, I've been reading through the years is, you know,
- 24:53he doesn't really care what he says as long as he makes the
- 24:55news cycle. Yes, he's very good at which if
- 25:00you've watched any of the documentaries about him in the
- 25:02past, he was the one that would call up like The Enquirer or
- 25:07well, he's good friends with the owner of The Enquirer or
- 25:10whatever it is and leak stories about himself.
- 25:13Because he knew that like, regardless of bad, good press,
- 25:17like any press is going to keep you in the limelight and keep
- 25:21your, you valuable as a brand. And he knew that early on.
- 25:25And so he would use that to his advantage.
- 25:27So yeah, I could see him saying stuff purposely because he
- 25:31knows. He knows, you know, he knows he
- 25:33can't do something. I got to, I got to say I've
- 25:36become a fan of Marjorie Taylor Green of all people.
- 25:39Like, why would I be a fan of her?
- 25:41Her last one? What'd she just say?
- 25:43That the MAGA was all a lie. And for the first year, all he
- 25:47did was try to satisfy the wealthiest of donors, which he's
- 25:52AI mean. That's a narcissist.
- 25:54I mean, that is why, why would that, why would that not
- 25:57surprise people? I mean, it's like he he's one of
- 26:00the, you know, it's so funny is I do understand his way of
- 26:05thinking because many years ago, I do understand because many
- 26:11years ago, Cheryl, when I was a program director at a radio
- 26:14station or operations manager, we had a consultant that did not
- 26:18care for me. And so I said, and so I told
- 26:21her, I said, well, I really don't, I really don't care for
- 26:23him. Like that consultant.
- 26:24I don't care for that consultant.
- 26:26And she goes, well, why don't you care for that consultant?
- 26:28Because, well, he don't like me, so why should I like him?
- 26:31And so I kind of, not that I'm rationalizing Trump by any
- 26:35means, period, but I do understand the mentality.
- 26:38And she and and Cheryl goes, well, you seem to only like
- 26:40people who like you. Yeah, that's yeah.
- 26:44That's all of us. Like why would I like people?
- 26:47Who don't like me? Like, I mean, that's, I think
- 26:51that's human nature. To.
- 26:53Say now, now he's on a colossal. I mean, again, you are the
- 26:58sitting president and not a program director to radio
- 27:01station. I mean, the list goes on and on
- 27:03of the responsibility of holding that seat that I don't care if
- 27:08you're Democrat, Republican, independent.
- 27:10I don't care if you're a Communist Party, when you're the
- 27:12president, your words mean things.
- 27:15And you have, you know, you govern for the people you know
- 27:18there's. A higher standard that.
- 27:20You need. To live up to.
- 27:22Right, exactly. And and I those, you know, so,
- 27:26so you have to kind of throw out the, the well, I only like
- 27:29people who like me. And that's what he says, though.
- 27:31He says it in meetings where he's like, well, they don't like
- 27:33the Trump. I'm like #1 he's third person.
- 27:35They don't like the Trump. What the he's does it in third
- 27:39person. I don't know.
- 27:40Well, they don't like Rick Rick's talk anyway.
- 27:44So yes, big, big news over the weekend for sure.
- 27:46And I really think there was a great political cartoon I just
- 27:50saw where they had a kid like they were like 5 years old and
- 27:53it's Don Donald Trump and it's a little kid named Sparky.
- 27:57And then and then they show Sparky like 80 years old and
- 28:00he's at Walker and he's a knock on the door FBIFBI because
- 28:04Donald Trump lost a coin flip when they were kids.
- 28:09So they little said little kid Sparky flips a coin and goes,
- 28:11Oh, I win. And then and then they flash
- 28:14forward 80 years, that FBI, you win there sparking boom, boom,
- 28:18boom. And he's all on a, you know,
- 28:19he's handicapped and old and. They're coming for sparking.
- 28:23I think that puts that parallel on, yeah.
- 28:27I mean, he said he's going after all the people.
- 28:29It's just a retribution tour, That's all it is.
- 28:31So. He said that when he was going
- 28:33to get an office. Again.
- 28:34Yeah, yeah. And I think people thought he
- 28:37was joking. He's just joking.
- 28:39He's not joking. Whenever he says something, he's
- 28:42serious. And I think was like going into
- 28:45Georgia, I think he really thinks, I think his people
- 28:48around him have told him, like, you, like, there was some kind
- 28:53of funny stuff going on in the 2020 election and you really
- 28:57won. I think like to some degree like
- 28:59he either really believes it or he really wants to believe it
- 29:02because he can't. He's such a narcissist that he
- 29:05doesn't want to believe that he lost because narcissists hate to
- 29:08lose anything. So I could see that being the
- 29:11case too, is that he's such a narcissist, can't deal with the
- 29:13fact that he really lost and so now he's just going to make up
- 29:18and do shit or who knows. I at this.
- 29:22Point who got his own press. You got his own press secretary
- 29:25saying only just kidding. He's just kidding, guys.
- 29:27He's just kidding. He's not.
- 29:28He's not kidding at all. I mean, could you?
- 29:30I could I could not have I number one, I couldn't work for
- 29:33somebody like that. First off, the the I couldn't
- 29:36work for that administration in any form whatsoever.
- 29:38So shout out to the people who are going to be there long after
- 29:41he's long gone and that's got to be quite the situation.
- 29:44But it's like, just get to the next three years.
- 29:48Met Michelle. Oh.
- 29:49God. Well, actually.
- 29:50It's going to be tough. Actually, midterms.
- 29:53If he gets wiped out in the midterms, then he's then he's
- 29:56sitting duck for two years. You can't, right?
- 29:58That's what makes me think that they see this coming down the
- 30:02tracks and so they're going to do everything they can to keep
- 30:05that from happening, whatever it is.
- 30:08What the midterms? What the hilarity is they?
- 30:11Again, in terms of passing stuff, they really have.
- 30:13I mean again, they they don't pass anything.
- 30:15No, but he keeps threatening that he's going to go there.
- 30:19You what? Like what you just said?
- 30:20That is they're going to make it a national thing where they
- 30:23control the elections. And I could see him really,
- 30:26really, really trying to do this or after the elections going
- 30:30into these States and taking the voting machines or seizing them
- 30:35or whatever it is like I could see him trying doing that or
- 30:38trying to do that or. But but as I was once taught, it
- 30:42all starts at the local level. So to have the, the fact that
- 30:45members of Congress and your local representative Dan
- 30:48Newhouse, you know, put up with this bullshit, No, you got to
- 30:52put it on the table where it belongs.
- 30:54And, and, and it and Congress or the House of Representatives
- 30:57now, right now, they just, they just had a special election and
- 31:00I believe Texas and they lost a seat.
- 31:03They lost a seat there. So they have one, they have one
- 31:05seat. They cannot lose anybody else.
- 31:08It cannot have a defection because for any, like any bill
- 31:11they're trying to pass. So Johnson cannot have a
- 31:14defection. So I mean that I guess that's
- 31:16good news by the only, you know, but but it's one of those things
- 31:19where it's like, why has no one in Congress shut this shit down?
- 31:26Because they're scared. They're terrified of
- 31:27retribution. And I think the retribution will
- 31:30come when people start voting. It's well, it's already coming.
- 31:33It's already. It's already happening.
- 31:36I think they they don't see like, like, sure, they see all
- 31:40these protesters or whatever, but they don't see the other
- 31:43groundswell that is happening like this undercurrent that just
- 31:48of normal everyday people, whether it's independence,
- 31:51whatever it is that are seeing all this shit and horrified by
- 31:55it. And they are going to make sure
- 31:57that they go and vote and and change it.
- 31:59And so I don't think they really, really see what's
- 32:02happening on the ground level as far as normal people, not, you
- 32:07know, paid protesters or whatever they're trying paint
- 32:10these people to be. But I don't think they really
- 32:14see like how people, people are so upset by and, and normal
- 32:19people everyday people, independents, not just
- 32:21Democrats. I mean, so I think they're going
- 32:24to be smacked upside the head with this reality.
- 32:28Well, I think. Will happen during the
- 32:29elections, during the midterms. Well, as much as it drives Trump
- 32:33mad, you're not on every ballot, dude.
- 32:37No, I mean, and that's what he always and that's what he brags
- 32:40about. Well, Trump.
- 32:41Well, but that's. Also his his excuse though too.
- 32:44When somebody loses is like, I wasn't on the ballot.
- 32:47I wasn't. On the ballot.
- 32:49So I'm looking even even for us here where we live.
- 32:52Amanda McKinney just got the Trump endorsement.
- 32:55You know, I don't. And there's other people running
- 32:58for that position. So Jared, what was it, Jared
- 33:01Sessler or whatever went against new house and lost, you know,
- 33:04because, because, well, I'm Trump endorsed.
- 33:05Well, if you're going to lead with your Trump endorsed, if
- 33:08that's your best card, you know people's outrage is going to
- 33:13vote you out. I don't I I mean here it's so
- 33:16red though. I don't know.
- 33:18I hope so, but. Well, look at the Dan but but go
- 33:21back to the Dan Newhouse situation with even the Jared
- 33:23Sessler thing. He didn't win.
- 33:26No, but a lot. Of the Democrats because we
- 33:29saved it, Dan yes, me too I voted for Dan Newhouse because
- 33:32I'm like mother, I got to make you know what I'm saying I don't
- 33:35like I mean it's. The lesser of two evils.
- 33:37We didn't want Sessler the crazy.
- 33:40What are Yeah, but I like I even like pointed that out.
- 33:44So I called Congress. This was like, I can't remember
- 33:48what was I think it was when when they were going to chop
- 33:53like Medicaid and all that kind of stuff was happening.
- 33:55I called Dan Newhouse's like congressional office and like
- 33:59talk to one of his staffers. And I was like, look, he better
- 34:04vote against this because all of us Democrats were the ones that
- 34:08saved his ass in his district. Jared Sessler would have won if
- 34:13we hadn't voted for him. And they were just like, OK,
- 34:16I'll make a new, you know, they have to be nice to.
- 34:18Me, I mean, that's. The truth, though?
- 34:21Yeah, And I and, and there was something about, I believe a few
- 34:24years back, Dan Newhouse said something about minimum wage.
- 34:26And so I did send him a letter. He responded, or maybe his aides
- 34:30responded, you know, but I sent him a letter and like, and, and
- 34:34I said, you represent, you represent all of Washington, not
- 34:36just, you know, people that agree with you.
- 34:40Farmers that own, you know, conglomerate farms.
- 34:44I mean, he did vote to impeach Trump that one time and.
- 34:48That's why, and that's why they and that's why the magus call
- 34:51him a rhino. Yes, and that he got super
- 34:54scared and they were putting all this money behind his opponents.
- 34:57Thankfully he won thanks to us Democrats.
- 35:00So yeah. It's a true story.
- 35:01It's it's absolutely true story. So that's her.
- 35:04That's her two. Well, just, I mean, again, I
- 35:07think, you know, it's like it's not in defense of Trump.
- 35:09I just think he deliberately does it to be part of the the
- 35:11news cycle. And he likes he likes to wake up
- 35:14to a fire alarm every single day.
- 35:15And I think he giggles like, I think it's like the Emperor
- 35:18Nero, He giggles behind her back.
- 35:19Like look at me. Right.
- 35:22But it is it's exhausting to a lot of us, of course, every day,
- 35:26especially those of us that have sympathy and feelings and
- 35:31especially if it's hurting somebody just in America that
- 35:35but day after day after day of this starts to really affect you
- 35:39as a person. Absolutely.
- 35:41Oh, 100%. You got it.
- 35:43You know, I've actually been posting less and less on social
- 35:46media because I just can't, you know?
- 35:48I have been, I don't think I've opened Facebook since right
- 35:52after Christmas, so. Well, So what I, So what I do is
- 35:56I, I unfollow and snooze a lot of people because I, because
- 36:00I've never felt people unless you are, unless you are
- 36:02radically, diametrically a, a piece of crap human being, I
- 36:07won't just, I won't just unfringe because you, you know,
- 36:09are a Republic. I mean, that's the I, I, I don't
- 36:12play, I mean, I'll play that game.
- 36:13I, I think people are allowed to have the religious views and
- 36:16they're allowed to have their political views, but there's a
- 36:18limit in which, you know what I'm saying to where I will, I
- 36:22will, I will go with it. And if you, if you get to the
- 36:25point where you're just hurting people, Nope.
- 36:27That you're gone, you know, so, so I do unfollow or I, I sleep a
- 36:31lot of people. Yeah.
- 36:33And I'm sure they do the same back at us.
- 36:34I mean, I get it. Oh yeah, or or.
- 36:36Actually, I've been deleted quite a bit too.
- 36:38So but I but I, but I have purposely stayed away from
- 36:41religion and politics because I look at it like, well, if you
- 36:44know me, you already know what I'm about.
- 36:45There should be no there should, there should be no great area of
- 36:48like of like how same as you, Michelle.
- 36:50I don't think anybody comes to your Facebook to get politics
- 36:52from you. No.
- 36:54And we both know that even if we post things political, it's not
- 36:58going to change anybody's mind. It doesn't posting something or
- 37:01sharing something, it's not going to change anybody's mind.
- 37:06No one. It just isn't.
- 37:08So so we're back to the the fun ChatGPT making yourself into a
- 37:11caricature now. So that's the new, that's.
- 37:13The new is it again. I haven't been on there.
- 37:15I haven't opened. It the new buzz right now is you
- 37:18go to ChatGPT and you ask Chat GPTA to make a caricature of
- 37:23what of of what ChatGPT thinks you are.
- 37:27Oh, I had it a while back. This has been a couple months
- 37:30ago where you post a picture of your cat and you have ChatGPT
- 37:34make your cat into a human and so we have Thor our cute.
- 37:39We have Thor our one eyed foster fail.
- 37:42He's orange. I'll send you the picture and
- 37:44then I'll post it. I'll post it on our socials too,
- 37:47so people can see it. I'll post a picture of Thor and
- 37:49then the ChatGPT version. It's hilarious because the
- 37:53person like is literally missing one eye like Thor so well of.
- 37:57Course he's a real person person.
- 38:00That's just funny so. It is the cat named Thor because
- 38:03it's missing the eye like like. Yes, the kids named him Thor
- 38:06because of that. I didn't even know Thor.
- 38:08Was missing an eye. I got I love that I can I can
- 38:12actually go. I get tell the kid I get that
- 38:14reference, they'll know what I'm talking about.
- 38:16I get that reference. Yeah, yeah.
- 38:18Some people that don't understand it like me either,
- 38:21and they're kind of. Like, well, it's either that or
- 38:22Odin and. You know, yeah, yeah.
- 38:24That was the other. Yeah, yes.
- 38:27Odin. Because Odin yes, and that would
- 38:29be the then that'd be the more logical because Thor has his
- 38:31eyes back. So I.
- 38:32Don't. OK, just.
- 38:34Trying to keep you up. Just trying to keep you up on
- 38:36the nerd stuff. Yeah, now I don't.
- 38:38Now I don't need to watch any of those movies.
- 38:39OK, thanks. But.
- 38:41But I liked it. Yeah, but I like it.
- 38:42Yeah, but I think Thor's a great name.
- 38:44Even Odin's a good name, but Thor's a better name.
- 38:46Yeah, and also on Friday. Oh, go ahead, I.
- 38:49Was going to say, isn't it amazing how animal your pets
- 38:53actually are their names after you decide on their name?
- 38:55Yeah, yes. And if he's crazy, is Thor in
- 38:59real life, in the movies? Well, not in real life, but in
- 39:02the movies. Crazy like our cat or.
- 39:04I just think, I just think once you pick a dog's name, you know,
- 39:07like like Barkley used to be Lucky, Roxy used to be Gracie,
- 39:12Phoebe was always Phoebe. And and when we got Bodie, he
- 39:15was Andre. So it and then when you name
- 39:17them, rename them. It's amazing how they are that
- 39:21personality. Yeah, yeah.
- 39:24All right, go back to Friday. We got Friday also.
- 39:26Yeah, 3 million of the Epstein files got dumped on Friday.
- 39:30Like everything happened on Friday.
- 39:32It was just chaos. Like I was just I pinging around
- 39:36like on the news and on blue sky and on the Internet because so
- 39:40much was happening. What was very upsetting was how
- 39:45a lot of the victims information whether that's names, pictures,
- 39:51driver's license, Social Security, everything like a lot
- 39:54of that was not redacted. And that was the whole excuse as
- 39:59to why they were delayed in dropping these or releasing
- 40:04these. And here all this information is
- 40:07out about some of the victims that did not want their
- 40:10information out, but they sure as shit made sure that all the
- 40:14perpetrators names were redacted.
- 40:17So. Isn't that crazy?
- 40:19I, I was just to some degree, I think they kind of did it on
- 40:22purpose as almost like you better watch it.
- 40:26They're kind of blaming it on human error, but it's like, come
- 40:29on. Like like there's so much that
- 40:32they missed. It's like really this is human
- 40:35error. I think it was kind of done on
- 40:37purpose a little bit. So I know that's what I I.
- 40:42Mean. And again, I'm I'm in the boat
- 40:44that they all should be prosecuted.
- 40:46And I don't care if it's Clinton.
- 40:47I don't care if it's Trump. No, you're a part of it.
- 40:50When you read, when you read through some of them, they're so
- 40:52disgusting. Have you read through some of
- 40:56it? I I tried.
- 40:57I've read certain passages and I'm like, oh, this might makes
- 41:01me want to throw up. Yeah.
- 41:02Yeah, it makes. Me want to throw up, but but you
- 41:05know, what angers me most about it is R Kelly, Kanye West.
- 41:11I mean, we allow celebrities to get away.
- 41:14Harvey Weinstein. Harvey, whatever his name is.
- 41:16Weinstein, whatever his name is. We allow Matt Lauer, I mean, I
- 41:21could go down this massive list of powerful, powerful men that
- 41:26we allow bad behavior and and I and I wish when something
- 41:30happens to somebody, I wish and I know a lot of people have
- 41:34courage and I you know, I I hate the you know, that they that
- 41:38they feel that somebody so powerful that they cannot say
- 41:42anything ever. And I and I and then same going
- 41:45to the Bill Cosby case where one person comes out and then sixty
- 41:48more follow when they realize someone else had the courage and
- 41:52they can. Then someone goes and then they
- 41:53go, Oh my God, that happened to me because everybody thinks it's
- 41:57only them, right? I mean, that's, I think that's,
- 42:01I think that's the belief. I think when, you know, when,
- 42:04when any celebrity or whatever happens, I think, Oh my God.
- 42:06Well, maybe it's something I did and it's only and it only
- 42:09happened to me because I can't imagine it being blank, blank,
- 42:12blank blank. And I think it's more, I mean,
- 42:16this happens just with women in general, but I think it's even
- 42:20worse when it's a celebrity because then you're like, OK,
- 42:25it's me against this celebrity if I do say something and
- 42:31they're going to take the celebrities word over the one
- 42:34person. And so I think that's the other
- 42:36reason why they stay quiet until they see the first one come
- 42:41first person, step forward and speak out.
- 42:43And then that's why you see like multiple people then feel safe
- 42:47that now they can come out because Oh yeah, this, this
- 42:50other person said it. Now I can come out and say what
- 42:54happened to me and not feel like it's just me against the
- 42:57celebrity or me against this person.
- 43:00No ones going to believe me. That happens a lot.
- 43:03That happens in just everyday people.
- 43:06That's why a lot of women don't don't speak up or say anything
- 43:09or report rapes or anything happens to us.
- 43:12Well, just in general, people are ashamed or they're
- 43:14embarrassed or they they put themselves or could some people,
- 43:17oh, you put yourself in that position or just you addressed.
- 43:19It that way you were asking for it.
- 43:22There's so. Much the list goes on.
- 43:24Did you see that there was interest?
- 43:26There wasn't one e-mail I will bring up that Elon Musk got shut
- 43:29down when he wanted to go to the island.
- 43:31They're like, yeah, sorry, we're wrapping it up.
- 43:33Yeah, well, because they didn't like him.
- 43:37Not to make light of the the Epstein files, but to me that
- 43:40made me laugh my ass off. And they're like, yeah, sorry,
- 43:42we don't care how much of A trillionaire you are, your ass
- 43:44ain't coming. I mean well.
- 43:45In him saying that he wasn't saying Donald Trump was in the
- 43:49files. And it's like, dude, you're all,
- 43:52you're in them too. Like all of you are all over
- 43:55these things. Steve Bannon, do you see how
- 43:57much he is in like that was like like they were like BFFS
- 44:01basically. Like he was filming this these
- 44:06for a documentary. He was just filming stuff for
- 44:08this documentary that he had planned on releasing.
- 44:12And I'm like, these dudes are like, they're like best friends.
- 44:16This is crazy. Yeah, yeah, I'm, I'm prosecute
- 44:21them all totally. But but then again, you're
- 44:24looking at right now, you're looking at the Timothy Busfield
- 44:26situation where this may actually be a revenge thing.
- 44:31So it's like it's so hard because you get, you get two
- 44:35sides of the, you get, you know, stuff that you know, I mean, my
- 44:39gosh, I mean, it's, I get it makes it tough.
- 44:42Did you see Did you see the new trailer for Michael Jackson?
- 44:47Yes. Didn't it air during the
- 44:49Grammys? It's going to air, I think a
- 44:51little. Snip the trailer, Yeah.
- 44:53During the Grammys and then the Youtubes got it.
- 44:55And then it's going to do a little snippet during the Super
- 44:57Bowl. And so it's going to be
- 45:00interesting to see how people, if they accept this.
- 45:04I mean, it looks, it looks amazing.
- 45:06Yeah, the actor looks just like him.
- 45:09Well, it's. His nephew, it's his nephew,
- 45:11Yeah. So it's going to be so it looks
- 45:13amazing. So I'll be curious to see how
- 45:15the overall, you know, has has enough time gone by because
- 45:19they're really thinking this is going to be the next Bohemian
- 45:21Rhapsody because this is from the same producer and director
- 45:26of Bohemian. Rhapsody.
- 45:27So they're all so they're all like, oh, this is a billion
- 45:29dollar movie. This will be a billion dollar
- 45:31movie. And his story is sad.
- 45:35Oh yeah. His the Michael Jackson story.
- 45:37I mean, it really, really is sad.
- 45:39So I'm curious how, but because of the the the cry of the
- 45:43pedophilia and all that, I'm curious if that will and they
- 45:46could go not I'm not going to go watch that.
- 45:49I mean, it's happening. It still happens with his music.
- 45:52Now people waffle back and forth on whether you should or
- 45:56shouldn't listen to his music because of that.
- 45:59So, well, the same thing's going to happen with this movie.
- 46:02Well, I think, yeah. I mean, it's why I was.
- 46:04Well, I feel the same way with Prince.
- 46:06I mean, you know, I don't, I don't think, I think, I don't
- 46:09think Prince treated women right.
- 46:11No. He was a misogynistic asshole.
- 46:14I mean, really, he's a genius. He's a genius, but.
- 46:18But I don't get a pass. Yeah, I don't Yeah, I don't
- 46:21think you get I don't think you get a pass.
- 46:22So I'm curious, you know, if that's going to be the billion
- 46:24dollar movie that Michael Jackson it looks again.
- 46:26I really enjoyed they did before he passed away.
- 46:29Was it the after he passed away? This is it where they did the
- 46:34loved. I actually loved that movie and
- 46:36I actually own it. So I, I mean, you know, but I've
- 46:40always been, but I've always kind of been.
- 46:41On on your VHS you on it. Yeah, yeah, my VHS on DVD, but
- 46:46I've I've still kind of always been in the I've been in the
- 46:51camp, you know, and again, I wasn't there.
- 46:53Someone knows the truth. I've kind of sort of been in the
- 46:55camp that you got set up in some of these situations.
- 46:59And and so because just because other people like Lisa Marie
- 47:06Presley, Macaulay Culkin. His own children.
- 47:10Well, but but they were but they were children and they came out
- 47:13and said nothing ever great happened.
- 47:16Like Corey Feldman, I mean Macaulay Culkin, I mean all
- 47:19these you know, he has got his staunch defenders that were
- 47:23children at the time and said nothing ever, you know.
- 47:27So and then you got and then you have an off story of like, oh, I
- 47:30mean, yeah. But then but then Michael, you
- 47:32do something stupid like, oh, why would I not let let the kids
- 47:35in the bed? I'm like, what?
- 47:36You know, like, come on, man. Yeah.
- 47:41Yeah, that. Yeah.
- 47:44Yeah, I do want to. I do want to see that because,
- 47:46yeah, I've always been fascinated by his story.
- 47:51Speaking of the Grammys, and we mentioned the Grammys, I watched
- 47:56them on Sunday nights and they did not disappoint.
- 48:02Justin Bieber performing in his boxers was like, oh, OK.
- 48:05I was like, all right, I was a little a little different, but
- 48:13I'm. Sure.
- 48:14Hello Chapel. Rolling like what the?
- 48:16What the? I thought her dress was great,
- 48:18what are you talking about? Hanging by the nips.
- 48:20Yeah, like what I thought it was.
- 48:23I thought it was. It's all about.
- 48:25That rides me of meat dress and it reminds me of the egg that
- 48:27Lady Gaga rolled up in. I wish she had that, like she
- 48:30had the like bird cage thing, did she?
- 48:33Did doctor have a windshield? This time it was.
- 48:35It was like a bird cage, like it was like a basket type looking
- 48:40thing I guess is what I don't know.
- 48:42Everybody's going in a. Birdcake this year because my
- 48:44picks pretty much came home so people I thought were going to
- 48:48win. You know, I love that song.
- 48:50Messy. I know I got that one wrong.
- 48:53I was going to mention that because I thought for sure it
- 48:55was going to be Sabrina Carpenter because that song was
- 48:57huge as well. It was.
- 48:59I thought it was either going to be her or Bad Bunny because Bad
- 49:02Bunny is like the most listened to artist ever.
- 49:05Like he eclipses Taylor Swift at this point and so I really
- 49:09thought it was going to either be him or Sabrina Carpet.
- 49:11I was glad that she won. Don't get me wrong.
- 49:13Like I love her song Messy. Well, some of these songs.
- 49:16That I was wrong. Messy is a great song and then
- 49:19Mutt is another Leon Thompson, another great, like great song.
- 49:23So I mean, for me, I was, I mean, I I had my faves going in
- 49:26there in terms of and then you had Jelly roll, you had Jelly
- 49:30roll. It was Jelly rolls.
- 49:31You know, there's no doubt about that.
- 49:33I mean, so it was I I think pop music, there's a lot of great
- 49:37pop music out right now. So it's it would be tough to to
- 49:40pick the pick the hits. So there's.
- 49:42Going to be yeah, there were so many when they would announce
- 49:45the category for song of the year, record of the year, there
- 49:49were yeah, I'm like, how do I choose?
- 49:51These are all fabulous artists. These songs were great.
- 49:55I was like, Oh my God, I don't, I honestly, I don't know who's
- 49:59going to win, but I was going. I don't know.
- 50:01I don't. These are all great artists.
- 50:04Yeah, pop music is on a high right now.
- 50:06So I what I love most about Sabrina Carpenter and she was in
- 50:11at the Benton Franklin front rodeo a few years back when she
- 50:14was on girl. She was a girl.
- 50:15No, it's such a great story because she was she was on girl
- 50:19meets world, you know, before before her her she still put
- 50:22albums back then, but she wasn't like she was today.
- 50:25And so she came and did a 130 show, 130 show.
- 50:29She wasn't even the main like and it was on a Saturday.
- 50:32So they were so they the fair treated it like, oh, we have a
- 50:35Disney, a Disney TV star, not you know, and it was spring
- 50:40Carpenter. I did, I did the I didn't get to
- 50:42meet her. I wish I would have, but I did.
- 50:46I did the opening. Of course, I welcomed her on
- 50:47stage. Welcome spring Carpenter, but I
- 50:49didn't get a chance to go backstage and meet her.
- 50:51But but I remember all in that this has probably been 10 years
- 50:54ago, but I just remember that she came for a 130 show.
- 50:59That's. Crazy at the fair and and and of
- 51:02course the kids were there, so it wasn't.
- 51:04Like, yeah. I mean, because it was it was,
- 51:06it was Girl Meets World. So that was very popular on
- 51:08Disney. But the parents had no like they
- 51:10had no like who? Why are we here?
- 51:12And now she's the biggest. Now she's one of the biggest pop
- 51:14stars. I mean, Taylor Swift really
- 51:16helped. Oh, she paved the way into the,
- 51:19the, the atmosphere. I don't know, whatever you want
- 51:23to call it. Yeah.
- 51:24It's Taylor Swift, basically. Like, yeah.
- 51:26But there's a lot. But looking at the Grammys,
- 51:27there's a lot of, I thought there was a lot of great, great
- 51:30artists this year and super. And of course the hilarity right
- 51:34now is Bad Bunny, he's got 3 Grammys and Kid Rock has zero.
- 51:37So the turning point USA all white.
- 51:41All white, I was going to say rolling in from the Grammys.
- 51:44Yeah, we could talk about the halftime show because it is Bad
- 51:47Bunny. He did win.
- 51:49Yes. I, I'm, I'm excited to see all
- 51:53the white people melting down on social media.
- 51:55A lot of them are going to be my own family.
- 51:57Because Bad Bunny, unlike K pop, K pop music is they sing in
- 52:04Korean and then English, you know, but Bad Bunny is all
- 52:08Spanish, like all his songs are Spanish.
- 52:12And so, you know, he's not going to, I don't, I personally don't
- 52:16think he's going to deviate from that.
- 52:17I wouldn't if I was him. Well, number one, he's American.
- 52:20He's Puerto Rican. Yes, he's.
- 52:21Puerto Rican, which is true of. American and this and this
- 52:25absurdity, this absurdity. And if you read the comments,
- 52:28it's This is why you stay off social media.
- 52:30It's like, what can you speak English and like and then
- 52:33everybody has to remind everybody America does not
- 52:36English is not America's language.
- 52:38It's not like it's not. I mean it.
- 52:40We America does not have a designated language.
- 52:43No. So the hilarity is and to me, I
- 52:46was talking to to my Co host today on the radio show.
- 52:49I said, I'm going to be so glad when the old white guys who have
- 52:52their pants all the way up to here and their big beer guts and
- 52:55the ball caps and the 80 some year olds.
- 52:58I'm I'm sorry, should I shouldn't be happy that they're
- 53:00going to be leaving the planet sometime.
- 53:01But I am because it's like, my God, I mean, and then and then
- 53:06let's talk about the reality of so So they just announced the
- 53:09Pendleton Whiskey Music Fest. What?
- 53:11They did. Yeah, so you got you got Zach
- 53:13Top coming, you've got Shibuzi and you've got Carly Pierce and
- 53:17Diamond Rio. And a lot of people are a lot of
- 53:19people are not so big on Shibuzi.
- 53:20But I always, I always tell people when we talk about stuff
- 53:25and we can talk about here is it's like who buys music?
- 53:29Who buys records or buys music? Young people.
- 53:32Yeah. So Sabrina Carpenter, you know
- 53:35all that. So, so it's to sit there and be
- 53:37a some 50-60 year old person. You know, it's like, I just,
- 53:42I've always felt it found it ridiculous.
- 53:44Well, number one, I used to joke about this, about the radio
- 53:46station when some guy would come in and remember when one of the
- 53:49salespeople came in and complained about the station.
- 53:51I go, I didn't build it for you. Yeah.
- 53:53Yeah, it's not built for you. Yeah.
- 53:55You know you're not the you're not the audience.
- 53:57So why is it so hard for people to realize that you're not the
- 54:01audience? Because because it they're only
- 54:05thinking about themselves. Like like take for example, the
- 54:09old white guy you're talking about that doesn't like Shibuzi
- 54:11or whatever. Like they're only thinking about
- 54:13themselves. Like you should cater to me, not
- 54:18everyone else. Like, because we're all just so
- 54:22wrapped up in ourselves and we don't think about other people.
- 54:25And so we think that whatever we like should be what everybody
- 54:29else likes. What, you know, like we should
- 54:31force that on everyone. I like religion at this point in
- 54:35our country. I mean, I, I always, I always
- 54:38joke when I go to the the radio station playlist.
- 54:40I mean, Mr. Mr. is my absolute favorite band of all time.
- 54:43But you're not forcing it down all of our throats.
- 54:46But guess what's? Not in the, but guess what's not
- 54:48in the playlist? Yeah.
- 54:50You know, unless, unless it unless it comes back in a test
- 54:52where it tests great, you know, and, and so it's like, yeah,
- 54:56even though I know every single song and, and they're my fave, I
- 54:59don't play it over. And, you know, I don't force it
- 55:02because that, you know, as I was always taught is what does the
- 55:06audience want and what are the right songs for the audience?
- 55:08And so when you're looking at when you're looking at the Super
- 55:11Bowl, it's like who's the audience who you're trying to
- 55:14reach? And, and it isn't just people in
- 55:16NASCAR or it's not just rednecks.
- 55:19Right. And who who was the biggest
- 55:21again? Who who is the biggest artist of
- 55:25the past year? It was Bad Bunny.
- 55:27He had the most streams. He eclipsed Taylor Swift, so the
- 55:32NFL is smart to have him as the Super Bowl halftime show like
- 55:36Jay. Z is in charge of Jay-Z is the
- 55:39guy who puts the axe. If you did not know it, Jay-Z is
- 55:42in our spider company. Yeah, but, but we've had what we
- 55:46had the weekend when he was hot. I mean, the, you know, all
- 55:49these. You had Maroon 5, you know, when
- 55:51they were hot. I mean, and going back to our
- 55:54original thing, you got to blame Michael Jackson.
- 55:56If you're ever curious, what started the big Super Bowl
- 55:58performances Michael Jackson did in the early 90s?
- 56:01Because before that it was up with people.
- 56:04I was going to say, didn't we talk about this where it was
- 56:06like marching bands or something back in the day?
- 56:09Enjoy, enjoy people. And so to and, and again, again,
- 56:12you can drag out The Rolling Stones who are not even
- 56:14American. OK, right.
- 56:17Put it into perspective. Not American, 80 plus years old.
- 56:21And not to say that stones aren't great, but it's like, who
- 56:24are you trying to, to to talk to?
- 56:26And you have an incredible amount of Americans who see
- 56:30themselves in bad money. Yes, and the NFL is branching
- 56:34out into South America. They have played games in Brazil
- 56:37course. They're in London, they're every
- 56:38I. Mean other countries and they
- 56:40know. They have to be worldwide.
- 56:41Yes, it's not. They can't just be about old
- 56:44white men and wanting to see Kid Rock.
- 56:47It has. To go to a NASCAR race for that
- 56:50right? But remember, so but that's the
- 56:52but that's the problem. So yeah, NASCAR is big money,
- 56:55but it's the, you know, here's NASCAR and here's the NFLI mean
- 56:59it's all in, in who the audience is and who you're trying to
- 57:01reach. And I mean, you can't.
- 57:03I know it was so funny with the Turning Point show.
- 57:05They were like, well, George Strait, well, George Strait's
- 57:07retired. He does one or two shows a year.
- 57:09He's already said that. And, and George Strait, I give
- 57:12George Strait credit, he wouldn't say anything like, you
- 57:14know what I'm saying. I've never heard George Strait
- 57:16say anything like political. Political.
- 57:19No, he just wouldn't. Same as Dolly Parton.
- 57:23No. They are smart enough.
- 57:24They're like, I'm not going to alienate my, you know.
- 57:27Right. And, and I'll tell you right
- 57:28now, I know Dolly loves the drag Queens of.
- 57:31Course she does. You know Dolly loves the gays.
- 57:34Period. She's Dolly Parton.
- 57:36I mean, God, we love. She's a national treasure.
- 57:38Yes, yeah, yeah, the gays know that she loves them so.
- 57:42Of course, that's that's all that, you know, And, and I
- 57:46thought it was interesting. Someone said something about Bad
- 57:48Bunny. Well, he's going to wear a
- 57:49dress. OK, so because but he but he but
- 57:53he but he but he does it because it's gender equality.
- 57:56I mean he's sending a message is why he wears but but like but
- 58:00Milton Borough wore a dress. Well, and he's especially in
- 58:04the, especially in the Spanish cultures that have the machismo,
- 58:09you know, the macho. And so he is breaking those
- 58:12norms and breaking through you. Don't have to die on it.
- 58:16I get it. I get it.
- 58:17But but why are we so blind and so ignorant that that we can't
- 58:20see the nose in front of our, you know, spite of our faces?
- 58:23So but I'm super excited. Bad Bunny.
- 58:26We also we've got a bet going on in the the studio.
- 58:29So Patty says the Patriots are going to win.
- 58:33I'm saying that I took the Hawks.
- 58:34I took the Hawks, remember? Well, remember, Patty's from the
- 58:36Midwest. She's from the Midwest, so she's
- 58:39a Green Bay Packers fan. But I took the Hawks.
- 58:41And so we made a a, a, a Pepsi and Reese's.
- 58:44I was going to say, what did you bet?
- 58:46OK. I already know I, I, I'm not
- 58:49going to jinx it before we go, but I really think it's going to
- 58:51be a blowout this, this Sunday. I I don't think it's going to be
- 58:55a blowout. I really, I want the Hawks to
- 58:58win and I'm not trying to. Yeah, again, I don't want to
- 59:02jinx it and be like we're going to win.
- 59:04We're going to, we're going to kick their ass.
- 59:06I really want us to kick their ass for redemption.
- 59:11And I'm hoping you're praying that happens so.
- 59:14I think the only reason why I say this is because I think that
- 59:19I'm like you, I enjoy a close game.
- 59:20I you know, I do like a fun, a fun, close game, but I just felt
- 59:25after they took apart the Rams, I'm like, oh, gosh, and then and
- 59:28then and then the Patriots barely squeaked by the Broncos
- 59:31with the backup to the backup to the backup to the backup
- 59:34quarterback. I'm like, OK, I think it's going
- 59:36to be, you know, I still think on any given Sunday, on any
- 59:39given Sunday, the worst team can beat the best team.
- 59:41I do know, I do believe that but and if and if they don't make
- 59:44any mistakes, but I do still going to give it to the Hawks on
- 59:46this one. That's it for today's episode of
- 59:50Rick and That Michelle J, Thanks for hanging out with us.
