- 0:01Speaker 1: Head to Chemist Warehouse and save more money every year
- 0:04Speaker 1: on your regular.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Medication with discounted prescriptions in every store every day.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Hello, good morning.
- 0:10Speaker 4: Good morning.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Mikey, Amy, Gerard, thanks to Chemist Warehouse.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:15Speaker 3: I got up early. I'm a good boyfriend.
- 0:19Speaker 4: You got up early.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Why?
- 0:21Speaker 4: How does that make you a good boyfriend?
- 0:22Speaker 3: Well, I tell you, my girlfriend's going to Bali.
- 0:25Speaker 4: With her friends?
- 0:26Speaker 3: Better behave over there. No, another man. Yeah, with her friends.
- 0:29Speaker 4: Another man.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 0:31Speaker 3: With girlfriends.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:32Speaker 3: And she had a, I think it was a 7.15 a.m. flight.
- 0:35Speaker 3: So you do the three-hour thing. Well, no.
- 0:39Speaker 4: Who does the three-hour thing anymore?
- 0:40Speaker 3: She wanted to. So she had to be there at 5.15.
- 0:43Speaker 3: So I dropped her at the airport.
- 0:45Speaker 4: That's two hours. Three-hour thing would have made it 4.15.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Oh, you're right. Yeah, no, I talked it down a bit.
- 0:51Speaker 4: Okay, yeah.
- 0:51Speaker 3: I was like, I'll get you there about 4.30. Yeah. Yeah, anyway,
- 0:55Speaker 3: so we got up way earlier. Yuck. And then as
- 0:58Speaker 3: we were getting in the car, she goes, oh, I
- 1:00Speaker 3: got a text overnight. It's actually been delayed to 8.45.
- 1:02Speaker 4: Oh, is she flying Jetstar?
- 1:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:05Speaker 6: Yeah, the flight's to Bali. With Jetstar, I've had a girlfriend,
- 1:09Speaker 6: she was on like a 6 a.m. flight, got her
- 1:11Speaker 6: whole family, three tiny young kids up, got them up
- 1:14Speaker 6: at 3 a.m.
- 1:15Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:16Speaker 6: And she got there and then the plane got delayed, delayed,
- 1:21Speaker 6: and then it got cancelled. These things happen, yeah, of course,
- 1:24Speaker 6: but it's fine when you're on your own.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Oh, she's got, yeah, she's got girlfriends there. But I
- 1:28Speaker 3: got up way earlier. But I've got a question. I
- 1:30Speaker 3: get a little confused every time I go to the airport.
- 1:32Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:33Speaker 3: When I'm driving in.
- 1:36Speaker 3: And I know the answer, but I still get confused.
- 1:38Speaker 3: You know how it says arrivals and departures?
- 1:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:41Speaker 3: I'm like, well, I'm arriving at the airport, right? So
- 1:47Speaker 3: do I go there?
- 1:48Speaker 4: Yeah, but hang on.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Or do I go? I just get confused.
- 1:51Speaker 4: It's really not that confusing.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Well, the right answer is.
- 1:54Speaker 4: It's whatever you're doing at the airport.
- 1:56Speaker 3: It's a party.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Yeah, so you're in departures. Oh, my gosh.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Every time, though.
- 2:01Speaker 4: Simple Simon over here. Yeah, I know, right? Yeah, okay.
- 2:03Speaker 3: You get how I get confused, though. Not really. I
- 2:05Speaker 3: am arriving.
- 2:07Speaker 4: You're not. You're just dropping someone off so they can depart.
- 2:12Speaker 8: Right?
- 2:13Speaker 3: I can't be the only one that gets confused by that. Anyway,
- 2:15Speaker 3: that's all done. She's gone. I've got eight days. I'll just,
- 2:19Speaker 3: you know, I'll carry on. I'll be all right.
- 2:21Speaker 4: Are you going to be okay?
- 2:22Speaker 3: Do you want to be my girlfriend for eight days?
- 2:23Speaker 4: Absolutely not.
- 2:24Speaker 6: But I can play a little violin for you.
- 2:28Speaker 4: I can do welfare checks and check in.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Yeah, check in on me. Men are useless without the
- 2:34Speaker 3: women in our lives. What's going on with your lips?
- 2:37Speaker 3: Why are they so red?
- 2:38Speaker 2: Oh.
- 2:40Speaker 3: What's happening there?
- 2:41Speaker 4: I didn't know where you were going there. I got
- 2:43Speaker 4: lip blushing.
- 2:44Speaker 3: What the fuck is that?
- 2:46Speaker 6: Well, it's essentially my first tattoo I've ever had. It's
- 2:50Speaker 6: not a permanent one. So it's called lip blushing.
- 2:53Speaker 8: Right.
- 2:53Speaker 6: And it's basically, it's only quite bright red today because
- 2:57Speaker 6: I got it done yesterday.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Do they hurt?
- 3:00Speaker 4: They don't hurt.
- 3:01Speaker 6: They're just quite pigmented today. So it's basically they, I
- 3:05Speaker 6: guess it is tattooing.
- 3:06Speaker 4: It's tattooing.
- 3:07Speaker 3: Hang on, you're not wearing lipstick.
- 3:09Speaker 4: I've got no lipstick on.
- 3:10Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 3:11Speaker 6: But it's not going to be this colour. So it
- 3:14Speaker 6: fades like 40%. So it'll calm down. It'll be like
- 3:18Speaker 6: a really soft, natural-looking pink. But, I mean, you don't
- 3:22Speaker 6: get this, but a lot of women, if you're not,
- 3:24Speaker 6: I don't know, European, my lips are quite fair.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Pale lips. She's got pale lips, everyone. Fair lips.
- 3:32Speaker 4: Yeah, my lips are fair.
- 3:33Speaker 3: So do you wear a lot of lipstick?
- 3:34Speaker 5: No.
- 3:35Speaker 4: Yeah, and so.
- 3:36Speaker 6: Like in the morning I'll always put on like a
- 3:38Speaker 6: lip stain or a lip liner or I put something
- 3:41Speaker 6: on my lips so that they don't just blend into
- 3:43Speaker 6: my face and I don't look like I'm a deceased person.
- 3:46Speaker 6: I've been sitting on the edge about the edge. I've
- 3:49Speaker 6: been sitting on the fence about getting it done.
- 3:50Speaker 4: For a long time.
- 3:51Speaker 3: You finally did it.
- 3:53Speaker 4: And I did it and I was like, is this
- 3:55Speaker 4: what it gets? Because I don't have any tattoos.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Neither do I. No, you and I are clean skins.
- 4:00Speaker 3: I don't like them.
- 4:01Speaker 4: I don't mind tattoos.
- 4:02Speaker 6: I actually like tattoos on men, but I just don't
- 4:06Speaker 6: have any, and neither does my husband, funnily enough. I
- 4:08Speaker 6: was like, this is my first tattoo. Is this what
- 4:10Speaker 6: it feels like getting a tattoo? Because I was like,
- 4:12Speaker 6: this doesn't hurt that much.
- 4:13Speaker 4: I felt really brave.
- 4:14Speaker 3: I thought it would hurt on your lips.
- 4:16Speaker 6: She's like, no, this is like a really, really ultra
- 4:18Speaker 6: fine needle. Anyway, I do think I'm going to start
- 4:21Speaker 6: like maybe peeling. So if I look like a little
- 4:23Speaker 6: ice junkie.
- 4:24Speaker 4: You know, tomorrow.
- 4:25Speaker 3: Oh, that wouldn't be out of the ordinary.
- 4:27Speaker 4: It absolutely would be.
- 4:29Speaker 3: Nat's got like 700 tattoos.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Yeah, sure.
- 4:33Speaker 4: She doesn't have 700.
- 4:34Speaker 3: How many have you got? I don't know.
- 4:36Speaker 4: Are they painful to get? It depends on the area
- 4:40Speaker 4: you get them.
- 4:41Speaker 9: And, yeah, like I mean my most painful, I don't know.
- 4:45Speaker 3: I can't even remember.
- 4:47Speaker 4: You compartmentalise the pain.
- 4:48Speaker 9: But my partner has more than I do and he
- 4:50Speaker 9: got his whole chest done in Bali, which he sat
- 4:53Speaker 9: in the chair for like 12 hours. And he said
- 4:56Speaker 9: it was like the most painful thing of his life
- 4:57Speaker 9: and it scarred him from getting another tattoo for a while.
- 5:00Speaker 4: I think that's the thing. So I was there for
- 5:02Speaker 4: two hours yesterday.
- 5:03Speaker 3: And your mouth opened the whole time? You're like, oh.
- 5:06Speaker 4: No, I'm not at the dentist. I didn't get my
- 5:08Speaker 4: teeth done. Why would I?
- 5:10Speaker 3: You've got to keep your lips.
- 5:12Speaker 6: Yeah, they were just, the only thing is it's just boring.
- 5:15Speaker 6: And also I think it's.
- 5:16Speaker 9: When they keep going over the same spot that's already
- 5:19Speaker 9: sensitive and you're like, come on.
- 5:21Speaker 6: Well, she'd numbed me and then the first couple of
- 5:24Speaker 6: times it was fine.
- 5:25Speaker 4: I couldn't feel anything, just pressure.
- 5:27Speaker 6: And then I could feel the numbing cream start to
- 5:29Speaker 6: wear off and then she just, it was like this
- 5:31Speaker 6: scratching feeling over already traumatised skin and And.
- 5:36Speaker 4: I was like, I can't do another, I can't do
- 5:37Speaker 4: another layer.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Oh, you look good.
- 5:39Speaker 4: Do you like them? It gives them definition.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:42Speaker 4: The color's a bit like how you're going, but.
- 5:44Speaker 3: No, I like the color. I thought you were wearing lippy.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Oh.
- 5:47Speaker 3: I didn't know.
- 5:48Speaker 4: There you go.
- 5:48Speaker 10: I like it.
- 5:49Speaker 3: I like it too. Another thing, I was at my
- 5:51Speaker 3: PT yesterday.
- 5:52Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 5:53Speaker 3: That's right. I work out.
- 5:54Speaker 6: Well, I went for a walk yesterday too, so I
- 5:57Speaker 6: work out.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Well, and at my PT's house, he had Halloween decorations up.
- 6:03Speaker 4: Oh, nuts.
- 6:03Speaker 3: And I thought of you yesterday because you were talking
- 6:05Speaker 3: about wanting to put your Christmas tree up already.
- 6:07Speaker 4: Yeah, and do you know how many messages I got
- 6:08Speaker 4: from women being like, mine's already up?
- 6:10Speaker 7: I don't.
- 6:11Speaker 3: I've seen them on our Insta. I think that's mental. Halloween,
- 6:14Speaker 3: if you're going to do some decorations, not that I
- 6:16Speaker 3: believe in that American crap, but you do Halloween before Christmas.
- 6:20Speaker 4: Honestly, I have a real bugbear with Halloween.
- 6:22Speaker 3: You don't like it either?
- 6:23Speaker 6: I don't like it and I don't like the fact
- 6:26Speaker 6: that my kids just– the thing is I can't escape
- 6:29Speaker 6: it though because every single kid in my street goes
- 6:32Speaker 6: trick-or-treating and I feel like Australia is slowly starting to
- 6:37Speaker 6: pick up this– Halloween trend.
- 6:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I know. My PT's house, the whole front was
- 6:42Speaker 3: decorated in spider webs.
- 6:44Speaker 4: I mean, that's early as well.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Yeah, because it's not until the end of the month.
- 6:48Speaker 4: It's not even 31st, yeah.
- 6:49Speaker 3: I can't talk. You want to put your Christmas tree on?
- 6:51Speaker 4: Yeah, but Christmas tree, Christmas tree.
- 6:53Speaker 6: Christmas is such a festive time. I just want to
- 6:56Speaker 6: get into the Christmas spirit, you know?
- 6:58Speaker 4: Ho, ho, ho.
- 6:59Speaker 3: I find it hilarious that you also hate Halloween. Love it.
- 7:03Speaker 6: Well, I just hate it because I hate my kids
- 7:06Speaker 6: hyped up on sugar.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:07Speaker 4: And they get so much sugar.
- 7:10Speaker 3: They've got a trick or treat, though. You can't not
- 7:12Speaker 3: let them do it.
- 7:12Speaker 6: They do trick or treat, but I cannot explain how
- 7:15Speaker 6: many lollies they come home with.
- 7:17Speaker 8: You're right.
- 7:18Speaker 4: Like, they could open a store.
- 7:20Speaker 3: Remember when you used to go to someone, they'd give
- 7:21Speaker 3: you fruit?
- 7:22Speaker 4: Hang on. That's exactly what my dad did. My dad
- 7:26Speaker 4: is the antichrist when it comes to Halloween.
- 7:28Speaker 6: He was like, I'm not handing out candy lollies to children.
- 7:32Speaker 3: Boomers really hate Halloween.
- 7:33Speaker 6: So he would stand there. He'd go up to the
- 7:35Speaker 6: shops and he'd buy all those candy. snack, pink lady
- 7:39Speaker 6: snack apples, and he would open the door with.
- 7:42Speaker 4: Bowls and bowls of apples, and.
- 7:43Speaker 6: Kids would just flip him the burger right off.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Yeah, toilet paper that house. And we're playing Tradie versus Lady.
- 7:49Speaker 3: You could go and see Somba live if you win.
- 7:53Speaker 3: Let's get into it right now.
- 7:54Speaker 4: Good morning, Mel.
- 7:57Speaker 11: Morning, guys.
- 7:58Speaker 4: How are you?
- 7:59Speaker 5: How are you?
- 8:01Speaker 11: I'm going good on this beautiful morning. How are you,
- 8:03Speaker 11: beautiful people?
- 8:05Speaker 3: Wow, you're so positive.
- 8:06Speaker 4: You're so positive. We love to hear it.
- 8:09Speaker 11: Well, there's a chance of winning Samba tickets, guys.
- 8:11Speaker 4: Who isn't positive right now?
- 8:14Speaker 3: You've still got to get the answers right, though. It
- 8:15Speaker 3: doesn't matter how nice you are.
- 8:16Speaker 6: Hey, she's going to do really well. I can feel
- 8:18Speaker 6: it in my loins. So, Mel, you work as a,
- 8:22Speaker 6: it says bar bitch here.
- 8:23Speaker 4: They were your words.
- 8:24Speaker 3: Oh, you work in a bar?
- 8:25Speaker 4: You work in a bar?
- 8:27Speaker 11: Guys, I am your bar bitch.
- 8:30Speaker 6: Do you still– I used to work over in a
- 8:32Speaker 6: bar in London, and I don't know if it's allowed
- 8:36Speaker 6: in Australia, but I would get customers and they'd buy
- 8:40Speaker 6: themselves shots and then they'd go, and a shot for you.
- 8:42Speaker 4: And my manager used to be like, if someone buys
- 8:45Speaker 4: you a shot, you've got to have it.
- 8:47Speaker 3: That wouldn't be– RSA wouldn't allow that here.
- 8:49Speaker 6: Yeah, you wouldn't be allowed to do that, right, Mel?
- 8:51Speaker 7: No.
- 8:52Speaker 11: No, RSA law is unfortunately not that cool these days. No,
- 8:57Speaker 11: you can't do that.
- 8:58Speaker 12: But, I mean, they can chuck a tip in the
- 8:59Speaker 12: tip jar.
- 9:00Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, you'd probably prefer that anyway, right?
- 9:03Speaker 10: I don't know. After the end of a shift, possibly
- 9:06Speaker 10: one or the other.
- 9:08Speaker 6: So you drive a Kia Sportage, you're married with three kids,
- 9:12Speaker 6: and what happened to you when you were younger?
- 9:15Speaker 4: You were on your way to a first date, and
- 9:20Speaker 4: what was the surprise?
- 9:22Speaker 11: So I was invited on a first date with this
- 9:24Speaker 11: guy who I actually really liked and I nearly died.
- 9:27Speaker 11: He said, you have to come with me on a
- 9:28Speaker 11: double date to meet my friend. I thought, no worries,
- 9:31Speaker 11: everyone's got this common name, Brad.
- 9:34Speaker 12: I'm in the car and.
- 9:35Speaker 11: Through the radio, this guy rings up and I'm looking
- 9:38Speaker 11: at the guy I'm going on a date with and
- 9:40Speaker 11: he's like, yeah, we're going to meet up with my
- 9:41Speaker 11: friend Brad. Turns out it was a guy that I
- 9:44Speaker 11: had a fling with a few months ago and it
- 9:45Speaker 11: ended pretty nasty.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Oh, no.
- 9:49Speaker 11: And I had to sit there at the date while
- 9:50Speaker 11: he spoke about his new relationship that had been going
- 9:53Speaker 11: on while I seen him and she was pregnant.
- 9:57Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 9:57Speaker 4: Oh, and she was pregnant.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Yes.
- 10:00Speaker 4: He was essentially playing up.
- 10:02Speaker 6: You were the other woman unbeknowingly to you and his
- 10:07Speaker 6: girlfriend at the time was pregnant.
- 10:10Speaker 4: You could have outed him. You know who would have
- 10:12Speaker 4: been shitting it more than you? Probably Brad.
- 10:16Speaker 11: Oh, the funniest part was I didn't say anything and
- 10:18Speaker 11: I sat there. I thought it was the most humorous
- 10:20Speaker 11: thing ever because I thought he was pulsating in areas
- 10:24Speaker 11: that he shouldn't have been, guys.
- 10:25Speaker 1: He was worried.
- 10:25Speaker 4: He would have been sweating.
- 10:28Speaker 3: Yeah, because, Jesus. You dodged a bullet there, though, with him.
- 10:31Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 10:32Speaker 4: Oh, absolutely. What a dirty dog. I know.
- 10:36Speaker 11: They still see them.
- 10:37Speaker 12: They're on the gram and everything. But, I mean, each
- 10:39Speaker 12: to their own, guys.
- 10:40Speaker 11: Facebook back then was the thing back then. So Instagram,
- 10:44Speaker 11: I feel you can do more.
- 10:45Speaker 5: Of the deeper stalk these days.
- 10:47Speaker 4: Yeah, you really can.
- 10:48Speaker 6: You can literally uncover somebody's life on Instagram if they're public.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Well, you don't reckon Facebook was like that?
- 10:54Speaker 4: Oh, I don't reckon. Facebook seemed to be more like
- 10:57Speaker 4: albums of nights out and stuff.
- 10:59Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 10:59Speaker 11: And we didn't post as much.
- 11:01Speaker 4: No. People kind of post their whole life on socials.
- 11:04Speaker 3: On Insta, yeah. Yeah.
- 11:06Speaker 6: All right, weighing in at 68 kgs, it's the Blind
- 11:09Speaker 6: Date Blindside Mel.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Woo!
- 11:13Speaker 3: All right, meeting our tradie now. We've got John. Hey, John.
- 11:17Speaker 3: How you doing, man?
- 11:17Speaker 5: Hey, John.
- 11:18Speaker 13: Good, mate.
- 11:18Speaker 8: How is everyone?
- 11:20Speaker 3: Good. You're a butcher. What's your favourite cut of meat?
- 11:23Speaker 8: Oh, like a nice Scotch fillet.
- 11:25Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 11:26Speaker 4: Nice and thick.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Yeah. Married with two kids. You've got a Mitsubishi Outlander.
- 11:33Speaker 3: Tell us about winning a hot lap. Oh, and you
- 11:36Speaker 3: with Peter Brock.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 11:38Speaker 3: Badminton's coming up this weekend.
- 11:41Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 11:41Speaker 3: What happened?
- 11:42Speaker 8: I won a hot lap with Peter Brock, and we
- 11:45Speaker 8: were doing it, and I went out the night before
- 11:47Speaker 8: being young and dumb, and we got very intoxicated, and...
- 11:52Speaker 8: The first lap was too fast, and I couldn't help it,
- 11:55Speaker 8: but threw up in the car.
- 11:57Speaker 3: These hot laps, man, I've done one. I've done a
- 11:59Speaker 3: couple in a V8. Have you ever done one, Amy?
- 12:03Speaker 4: No, I haven't done a hot lap, but I went
- 12:05Speaker 4: on the jet boat thing.
- 12:07Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 12:07Speaker 4: You know that jet boat where it goes so fast
- 12:10Speaker 4: and spins around? And I was full yakking over the
- 12:14Speaker 4: side of it.
- 12:14Speaker 3: Similar, I suppose. The hot laps in the V8s, it
- 12:18Speaker 3: doesn't go long, but they go so bloody fast. Yeah,
- 12:20Speaker 3: very fast. And, like, they're coming up to a corner,
- 12:23Speaker 3: aren't they, John? And you're like, is this guy going
- 12:25Speaker 3: to break?
- 12:26Speaker 8: Yeah, that's what you think. Oh, no, he doesn't really. Yeah.
- 12:29Speaker 3: No, he doesn't. And I tried driving one, too. They're
- 12:31Speaker 3: actually really hard to drive. Really? Yeah, like a V8
- 12:34Speaker 3: or any kind of actual race car. It's not how
- 12:37Speaker 3: you drive a normal car. I stalled it so many times.
- 12:40Speaker 3: I felt like such a fairy.
- 12:41Speaker 7: I know.
- 12:42Speaker 3: Yeah, well, good on you, man. Okay, weighing in at
- 12:44Speaker 3: 86 kilos, it's the Bathurst Barfer, John.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Woo!
- 12:50Speaker 3: I reckon I'm the only one here on the team
- 12:52Speaker 3: that'll care about the Bathurst race on the weekend.
- 12:54Speaker 9: Am I right?
- 12:55Speaker 2: Yes.
- 12:55Speaker 12: Correct.
- 12:56Speaker 5: Yes.
- 12:57Speaker 8: Cool.
- 12:57Speaker 3: Well, I'll be watching that. I watch it with my
- 12:59Speaker 3: old man every year.
- 13:00Speaker 14: Oh, that's cute.
- 13:00Speaker 4: It's a ritual.
- 13:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:02Speaker 4: That is nice.
- 13:03Speaker 3: It's one thing I do with him.
- 13:04Speaker 4: Good on you.
- 13:04Speaker 3: All right, mate. He's got your questions.
- 13:06Speaker 4: All right, John. Good luck.
- 13:07Speaker 6: In Pilates, what part of the body does the fire
- 13:11Speaker 6: hydrant exercise target?
- 13:13Speaker 3: Oh, the legs.
- 13:14Speaker 2: Oh.
- 13:15Speaker 3: The eyes.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Oh.
- 13:21Speaker 4: It's lower body, mostly the glutes.
- 13:24Speaker 3: It's trying to get a good ass, yeah?
- 13:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:26Speaker 3: It's all about the ass.
- 13:28Speaker 5: Yep.
- 13:28Speaker 7: All right.
- 13:29Speaker 6: In hairdressing, what do thinning shears look like?
- 13:34Speaker 8: Thinning shears, they're the clipper things.
- 13:41Speaker 3: More info?
- 13:43Speaker 8: They go on the clippers.
- 13:44Speaker 4: Nah, it's not clippers.
- 13:46Speaker 6: So thinning shears are like regular haircutting scissors, except one
- 13:50Speaker 6: or both ends have like comb-like teeth.
- 13:53Speaker 3: What are they to thin your hair out?
- 13:55Speaker 4: They thin your hair out, yeah.
- 13:57Speaker 3: All right.
- 13:58Speaker 4: What are tanga bikini bottoms?
- 14:04Speaker 8: They're the longer ones.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Oh.
- 14:06Speaker 11: Oh.
- 14:07Speaker 4: No, they're not.
- 14:08Speaker 10: Longer.
- 14:09Speaker 8: They have like a frill around them.
- 14:11Speaker 2: No.
- 14:12Speaker 6: So, tanga bikini bottoms are high cut on the sides
- 14:15Speaker 6: and minimal coverage on the bum.
- 14:17Speaker 4: So, kind of similar to a G-string.
- 14:19Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 14:20Speaker 3: So, it's not the G-string ones?
- 14:21Speaker 4: I mean, I can't imagine John wearing tanga bottoms. No surprise.
- 14:25Speaker 3: He doesn't know what they're called. Well, you got one,
- 14:28Speaker 3: all right? Mel, here we go. You ready to go?
- 14:32Speaker 12: Yes, thanks, guys.
- 14:33Speaker 2: All right.
- 14:34Speaker 3: What soccer team does that Norwegian player Erling Haaland play for?
- 14:38Speaker 14: Pardon?
- 14:42Speaker 3: Yeah. What soccer team does the Norwegian player Erling Haaland
- 14:47Speaker 3: play for?
- 14:48Speaker 7: He's a blonde looking.
- 14:50Speaker 2: Guy, yeah?
- 14:51Speaker 4: Yeah, the blonde guy.
- 14:52Speaker 3: Looks very kind of Viking-like.
- 14:53Speaker 4: Viking, yes.
- 14:54Speaker 5: Very Viking.
- 14:55Speaker 11: Not in the Norway team?
- 14:57Speaker 7: No.
- 14:58Speaker 3: Norway team?
- 14:58Speaker 2: No.
- 15:00Speaker 3: No, it's a British one. Doesn't matter. It's Manchester City.
- 15:04Speaker 3: What's the difference between Manchester City and Manchester United? Probably nothing, hey?
- 15:09Speaker 4: They're different teams in the same city.
- 15:11Speaker 8: So, you know, half the city hates the other half.
- 15:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I knew I'd get you there. Oh, you got
- 15:17Speaker 3: him good. I got him good, yes. What is the
- 15:20Speaker 3: front of a boat or a ship called? The front.
- 15:26Speaker 5: Oh, no, guys.
- 15:29Speaker 3: What? The bow.
- 15:32Speaker 11: The bow.
- 15:32Speaker 4: The bow, yes.
- 15:34Speaker 3: Yeah, they've all got different names, don't they? Like Stirling
- 15:37Speaker 3: or Starling or something.
- 15:39Speaker 4: On the bow.
- 15:39Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 15:40Speaker 12: On the starboard.
- 15:41Speaker 11: There's a starboard as well.
- 15:42Speaker 3: Starboard. Yeah, anyway, it's the bow.
- 15:43Speaker 4: Yeah, you've got that. And I reckon you're going to
- 15:45Speaker 4: know this one, Mel. You reckon? Having three kids. Yeah,
- 15:48Speaker 4: she's got three kids. Oh, yeah.
- 15:49Speaker 3: Yeah, okay.
- 15:50Speaker 2: What?
- 15:50Speaker 3: After a baby is born, what do men call that
- 15:53Speaker 3: celebration where we go out drinking with our friends?
- 15:56Speaker 11: A postpartum baby shower.
- 15:59Speaker 3: We do not call it a postpartum baby shower. We
- 16:03Speaker 3: call it a wet the head. A wet the head.
- 16:05Speaker 4: Wetting the head.
- 16:07Speaker 11: Oh, God, guys, typical.
- 16:09Speaker 3: You didn't let your guy do it.
- 16:11Speaker 4: Did your husband?
- 16:12Speaker 11: My husband, after I had babies, that's the last time he.
- 16:15Speaker 4: Wet his head.
- 16:16Speaker 6: Mate, my husband used that as an excuse to wet
- 16:19Speaker 6: the head every time.
- 16:20Speaker 3: Is Nat, is Kane going to be allowed to do
- 16:23Speaker 3: a wet the head?
- 16:24Speaker 9: He's already talking about his wet the head, and I'm like,
- 16:26Speaker 9: you just want a night off when your baby's born.
- 16:28Speaker 3: That's bullshit.
- 16:29Speaker 4: I get a wet the head too then. Yes.
- 16:31Speaker 3: My mate organised one a week after she gave birth.
- 16:35Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 16:35Speaker 6: I think Ryan did his five days after Tully was born.
- 16:38Speaker 3: Yeah, and everyone was like, what about her? He was like, no,
- 16:43Speaker 3: I'm doing it.
- 16:43Speaker 6: But it's because the man does so much in pregnancy.
- 16:48Speaker 6: He should go out and celebrate.
- 16:50Speaker 3: I think you just want, like it is an excuse
- 16:52Speaker 3: literally to go out and drink with the boys.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:54Speaker 3: It's all it is.
- 16:55Speaker 4: It's a piss take.
- 16:55Speaker 3: We don't even talk about the baby.
- 16:57Speaker 9: I said to him, well, why don't we do like
- 16:59Speaker 9: a mixed gender baby shower?
- 17:01Speaker 4: I have no issue with that.
- 17:02Speaker 9: Like, I don't feel the need to just be like
- 17:04Speaker 9: girls only.
- 17:05Speaker 4: He's like, nah, we don't want to do that.
- 17:06Speaker 3: I'm like, all right, no worries.
- 17:08Speaker 4: I did one of them with my first and Ryan
- 17:12Speaker 4: hated it. He was like, I don't want to be here.
- 17:14Speaker 9: Yeah, but I'm not going to do this stupid games
- 17:16Speaker 9: and everything.
- 17:17Speaker 3: I just want more presents. You can't drink.
- 17:20Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 17:20Speaker 4: Okay, so it's a draw.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 17:22Speaker 3: We're going to have to do our tiebreaker. Okay. We
- 17:24Speaker 3: got John. We got Mel. Just yell out the answer.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Amy will give it to you.
- 17:29Speaker 4: Are you both there, guys?
- 17:31Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm there.
- 17:32Speaker 4: And Mel's there?
- 17:33Speaker 5: Yep. Okay.
- 17:34Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 17:35Speaker 6: In which season do trees lose their leaves?
- 17:39Speaker 5: Autumn.
- 17:41Speaker 7: Autumn.
- 17:41Speaker 2: Autumn.
- 17:41Speaker 3: It was the boy?
- 17:42Speaker 2: Yep.
- 17:42Speaker 3: 100%.
- 17:43Speaker 8: Yep.
- 17:44Speaker 12: Yep.
- 17:46Speaker 3: Well done, mate. Woo-hoo!
- 17:48Speaker 5: Yeah!
- 17:50Speaker 3: The boys!
- 17:51Speaker 6: So a woman in her 30s has shared a seriously
- 17:54Speaker 6: grave warning to people in their 20s.
- 17:57Speaker 3: All right, if you're in your 20s, listen up. Listen up, yeah.
- 17:59Speaker 3: Females only or men too?
- 18:01Speaker 4: I reckon both genders.
- 18:02Speaker 3: Okay.
- 18:02Speaker 6: They need to do more of something before it's too late.
- 18:07Speaker 4: So influencer Mesa, Mesa.
- 18:12Speaker 6: Says we should all be taking more nude photos.
- 18:16Speaker 5: Now listen.
- 18:17Speaker 3: Okay.
- 18:18Speaker 13: This is your sign to get your ass up right
- 18:20Speaker 13: now and take a nude photo.
- 18:21Speaker 4: I'm 34 now, and I have really come.
- 18:23Speaker 13: To love a nude in the last, like, six, seven
- 18:25Speaker 13: years of my life. And FYI, these nudes are not
- 18:28Speaker 13: for anyone else. Like, sometimes do they get sent... No comment.
- 18:32Speaker 13: But I mostly, I'm just taking them for me. I
- 18:34Speaker 13: was just scrolling through my little folder the other day,
- 18:36Speaker 13: as one does. And I was thinking, oh, if only
- 18:39Speaker 13: I had pictures of like.
- 18:40Speaker 4: Me every year in my 20s.
- 18:42Speaker 3: I was just like kind of prudish.
- 18:44Speaker 13: Obviously, not only did I not feel comfortable enough in
- 18:46Speaker 13: my body to take the photo, then there was all
- 18:48Speaker 13: the fear of like, what if someone found them? And
- 18:50Speaker 13: that's all bullshit, guys. Get your ass up right now.
- 18:53Speaker 13: Go take a nude photo. Keep your little folder. You
- 18:55Speaker 13: are going to.
- 18:56Speaker 4: Cherish that down the road.
- 18:57Speaker 3: I have categorically 900% never taken a nude, Amy. Is
- 19:02Speaker 3: that a thing you do or did in your 20s?
- 19:04Speaker 4: Oh, mate, the amount of nudes I used to send,
- 19:07Speaker 4: only to boyfriends.
- 19:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 19:09Speaker 4: I used to have an entire folder. Of nudes?
- 19:13Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 19:13Speaker 3: Can I have a look at your phone? No, no.
- 19:15Speaker 4: And I think it's gone now. I don't know. That
- 19:17Speaker 4: sounds a little narcissistic.
- 19:20Speaker 6: I'm all for self-love and body appreciation, being comfortable in
- 19:23Speaker 6: your own skin, but I'm not.
- 19:25Speaker 4: Taken photos of my nude body all the time.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Well you're 40 now so what about what are you
- 19:30Speaker 3: trying to say well she's saying you meant to have
- 19:32Speaker 3: done it in your 20s oh look i.
- 19:34Speaker 6: Can appreciate that like i i used to i had
- 19:39Speaker 6: one boyfriend yeah me and him used to send each
- 19:41Speaker 6: other nudes all the time wow and i look back
- 19:44Speaker 6: at those photos and i was probably a little bit.
- 19:48Speaker 3: Harsh.
- 19:48Speaker 4: I was always my own harshest critic, right?
- 19:50Speaker 3: We all are, yeah.
- 19:51Speaker 4: Yeah, but compared to now, I was like, oh my God,
- 19:55Speaker 4: 21-year-old Amy was tight.
- 19:57Speaker 3: So you agree with her then? More nudes in your 20s.
- 20:00Speaker 4: I agree with her, but also why would you be
- 20:03Speaker 4: taking nudes if you're not sending them to your partner?
- 20:06Speaker 3: Oh, she's saying for yourself.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:08Speaker 3: To what? Look at yourself?
- 20:09Speaker 4: To then look back on yourself nude.
- 20:11Speaker 3: I don't get that part. It's definitely a chick thing, though.
- 20:14Speaker 3: There's not many men.
- 20:15Speaker 4: Did you not used to get nudes from girlfriends? I
- 20:19Speaker 4: don't know.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Maybe women haven't trusted me or something.
- 20:21Speaker 4: I mean, I get that.
- 20:24Speaker 3: I don't think I've ever received a nude.
- 20:27Speaker 4: I was like the queen of the nude and videos. Oh,
- 20:30Speaker 4: my gosh. And I just put like blind faith trust
- 20:34Speaker 4: into my partners.
- 20:35Speaker 3: So they're out there somewhere.
- 20:37Speaker 6: Yeah, but it served me well. I don't think anyone
- 20:39Speaker 6: would do me dirty. And, I mean, it was back in, what, 2010?
- 20:43Speaker 4: 4'10 or something.
- 20:44Speaker 3: They're all grainy anyway.
- 20:45Speaker 4: Quality would be BS.
- 20:47Speaker 3: Is that Amy Gerard or some random blonde?
- 20:49Speaker 4: I was smart enough to know to cut my head
- 20:51Speaker 4: out of most of them.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Right.
- 20:54Speaker 1: You know?
- 20:54Speaker 3: Yeah, but you trusted the dudes.
- 20:56Speaker 6: I also, yeah, I was in long-term relationships with guys and, yeah,
- 21:00Speaker 6: I don't think.
- 21:02Speaker 4: any of them would do me dirty like that.
- 21:03Speaker 3: No, no, no. Does anyone else here take nudes of
- 21:06Speaker 3: themselves or something?
- 21:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:07Speaker 3: Chelsea?
- 21:08Speaker 4: I have in the past.
- 21:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:10Speaker 4: It's not like something I usually do. But it's not
- 21:12Speaker 4: like you wouldn't just take nudes for yourself.
- 21:14Speaker 12: No, I also think I'd hate looking back at old nudes.
- 21:17Speaker 4: Firstly, like I was hotter back then.
- 21:19Speaker 3: Oh, so it's depressing.
- 21:21Speaker 4: Yeah, it's so depressing. It's depressing, yeah, that's right.
- 21:24Speaker 3: What about Nat? You a nude taker?
- 21:26Speaker 9: I have done, but like I'm not just taking them
- 21:28Speaker 9: because I'm like, ooh, I look good today.
- 21:30Speaker 4: It would be for a purpose. Yeah.
- 21:32Speaker 3: That's what she's saying though, right? Like literally to look
- 21:35Speaker 3: at yourself.
- 21:36Speaker 9: It sounds like she's saying just take them regularly for yourself,
- 21:39Speaker 9: which I think is a bit odd.
- 21:41Speaker 3: Don't you think maybe though when you're like 84, you'd
- 21:45Speaker 3: want to look back and go, oh, look how gorgeous
- 21:47Speaker 3: and plump I was.
- 21:47Speaker 4: No, no. I would, if you looked back on them
- 21:50Speaker 4: when you're 84, you'd, Feel like crap because you're like
- 21:54Speaker 4: a wrinkled old handbag. You'd just be like reminiscing.
- 21:57Speaker 3: All right, no one agrees with the influencer. You're on Kiss, Mikey,
- 22:04Speaker 3: Amy Gerard, Amy's favourite song ever there.
- 22:08Speaker 4: No, it was not.
- 22:09Speaker 3: It's what you picked.
- 22:11Speaker 4: It wasn't my favourite song ever, though.
- 22:12Speaker 3: What's your favourite song ever?
- 22:14Speaker 4: Nah, don't ask me that. I've got too many.
- 22:17Speaker 3: Is one of them in any kamosi?
- 22:20Speaker 4: Sure. It gets the hips moving.
- 22:25Speaker 3: First calls now. What do you want to talk about
- 22:27Speaker 3: on 131065? Hello, Susan.
- 22:29Speaker 4: Good morning.
- 22:31Speaker 5: Good morning. I hear you guys have been dissing my
- 22:33Speaker 5: name all morning.
- 22:35Speaker 3: Oh, Amy did.
- 22:36Speaker 4: I didn't diss it.
- 22:38Speaker 6: We got a nat fact, and she said that Sigourney
- 22:41Speaker 6: Weaver's real name was Susan, and I was like, Thank God.
- 22:47Speaker 4: Thank God she changed it.
- 22:48Speaker 6: Only because I feel like in film and in Hollywood
- 22:52Speaker 6: and stuff, I don't know if like.
- 22:55Speaker 5: I don't know. Susan Weaver sounds pretty good.
- 22:58Speaker 3: Well, there's not many Susans around is what we were
- 23:00Speaker 3: saying that are like under 50 maybe. Yeah.
- 23:04Speaker 2: 60.
- 23:04Speaker 3: How old are you, Susan?
- 23:05Speaker 5: I'm under 50.
- 23:06Speaker 4: Oh, see, there you go.
- 23:08Speaker 3: How many Susans do you know apart from you?
- 23:11Speaker 5: Look, I went to school with two others.
- 23:14Speaker 4: Susan Boyle.
- 23:16Speaker 3: How old are you?
- 23:17Speaker 5: 48, so almost 50.
- 23:19Speaker 4: Do you get Susie?
- 23:22Speaker 5: I don't. I'm one of those people that I don't
- 23:25Speaker 5: like the name shortened.
- 23:26Speaker 3: Oh, you're Susan.
- 23:29Speaker 5: Yeah, that's right. I'm kind of staunch on the fact
- 23:31Speaker 5: that I'm Susan. I'm not Sue. I'm not Susie.
- 23:33Speaker 4: Yeah, okay.
- 23:34Speaker 5: It's Susan. Okay.
- 23:35Speaker 3: Would you agree there aren't many people in their 20s
- 23:40Speaker 3: and 30s with the name Susan?
- 23:42Speaker 5: No, it is not. It's a dying name, unfortunately, but
- 23:45Speaker 5: it's a strong, good name.
- 23:47Speaker 4: I do feel for people even with the name Karen.
- 23:50Speaker 4: One of my mum's friends, her name's Karen, and she's like,
- 23:54Speaker 4: Karens are like wrongly done. What's the kind of word
- 23:58Speaker 4: I'm trying to say?
- 23:59Speaker 3: They've been done over, right?
- 24:00Speaker 6: Yeah, they've been done over. And everyone just refers to
- 24:03Speaker 6: people as a Karen when they're complaining to the manager.
- 24:07Speaker 6: She's like, I've never complained to the manager once.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Sounds like she's complaining now.
- 24:10Speaker 4: I said, oh, it's only a matter of time, Karen.
- 24:14Speaker 3: Good on you, Susan. You own that name. Carrilla.
- 24:18Speaker 4: Carrilla.
- 24:19Speaker 3: That's a cool name.
- 24:20Speaker 4: It says like gorilla with a K.
- 24:23Speaker 3: Hello, mate.
- 24:24Speaker 14: I thought that, yeah, I think I've got an awesome name.
- 24:28Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. We won't forget that. Well, what do you
- 24:30Speaker 3: want to chat about?
- 24:30Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, I heard you guys talking about receiving nudes earlier.
- 24:34Speaker 3: Yeah, Amy used to love sending them.
- 24:37Speaker 6: No, there's a lady saying that if you're in your 20s,
- 24:41Speaker 6: you should be taking nudes more often.
- 24:43Speaker 4: I don't really know why to look back on.
- 24:45Speaker 3: Look back on how hot you were in your 20s.
- 24:48Speaker 4: Did you used to send nudes?
- 24:51Speaker 1: I never used to send nudes, but I did receive
- 24:53Speaker 1: them from my girlfriend.
- 24:55Speaker 4: Yeah, okay. Are you guys still together?
- 24:57Speaker 7: Yes, we're still together.
- 24:59Speaker 1: I'm hoping she's planning me.
- 25:02Speaker 8: An amazing day for my birthday today.
- 25:03Speaker 7: I didn't get on for the birthday, but I'm still positive.
- 25:07Speaker 6: Happy birthday for today. Maybe you'll get a couple of
- 25:10Speaker 6: nudes instead for your birthday.
- 25:13Speaker 14: I hope I get more than that.
- 25:14Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 25:15Speaker 3: Oh. I don't know why I've never received them. Just never.
- 25:18Speaker 4: You know what I've always wanted to know?
- 25:20Speaker 6: I've always wanted to know, and I'm never going to
- 25:22Speaker 6: find out the answer to this, but when obviously my partner,
- 25:28Speaker 6: my ex-boyfriends and I have broken up, do they delete them?
- 25:32Speaker 1: No.
- 25:34Speaker 4: They keep my nudes?
- 25:35Speaker 3: Well, we're actually not ever receiving them. I wouldn't know.
- 25:39Speaker 4: You should ask Alana for one.
- 25:41Speaker 3: She's at the airport.
- 25:43Speaker 4: That's okay. She can go to the bathroom. Hey, Amy,
- 25:45Speaker 4: do you reckon if you... Because you've been married for
- 25:46Speaker 4: 10 years, right?
- 25:47Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 25:47Speaker 9: Do you reckon if you texted Ryan right now and said, hey, babe,
- 25:50Speaker 9: can you send me a nude, he'd just send you one?
- 25:52Speaker 3: You should try it. Do you want to see a
- 25:54Speaker 3: dude nude?
- 25:54Speaker 4: See who can get a nude quicker, you or Mikey?
- 25:57Speaker 4: Ryan's in the car on the way to work, probably.
- 25:59Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 26:00Speaker 6: Work bathroom and airport bathroom. Ryan has never sent me
- 26:06Speaker 6: a nude, and I.
- 26:07Speaker 3: You don't want to see his floppy D, do you?
- 26:09Speaker 4: No, nah.
- 26:10Speaker 3: See, no one wants to see a nude dude. Yeah,
- 26:12Speaker 3: we do. We vehemently disagree. Oh, you gazed at Santa?
- 26:17Speaker 3: We're all over it.
- 26:18Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 26:19Speaker 3: Is Grindr just, instead of, you know, when I used
- 26:21Speaker 3: to be on dating apps, you'd see a photo of
- 26:23Speaker 3: a girl at the beach or something. Is Grindr just
- 26:25Speaker 3: nude men?
- 26:26Speaker 8: Do you know what's really funny is that they actually
- 26:29Speaker 8: have a rule against nudity on your profile, but you
- 26:32Speaker 8: can send them.
- 26:33Speaker 3: Is it all shirtless?
- 26:36Speaker 4: No, it's all underneath the shaft. That's where they take them.
- 26:40Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, but the profile pic. The profile pic.
- 26:42Speaker 5: The gays are pushing it as close to the line
- 26:45Speaker 5: as they can.
- 26:45Speaker 3: Trust me, there is some.
- 26:47Speaker 4: It's like the pants are really low so you can
- 26:49Speaker 4: see the V.
- 26:50Speaker 3: Sometimes it's just an emoji. Oh, around the D. Yeah,
- 26:53Speaker 3: it's just like the little devil horns. Oh.
- 26:57Speaker 6: So last week on the show, Mikey, you actually said
- 27:00Speaker 6: that you think a lot of men will stay in
- 27:02Speaker 6: unhealthy relationships and even marriages because the thought of breaking
- 27:07Speaker 6: up is more intimidating than just staying, right?
- 27:10Speaker 3: Most men I know have never broken up with someone. Me, personally,
- 27:15Speaker 3: I've only ever done it once. All the other ones
- 27:16Speaker 3: have been called off and I've been blindsided. Completely blindsided.
- 27:19Speaker 6: Have you ever been in a relationship, though, where you've
- 27:21Speaker 6: wanted to get out and you just didn't have the
- 27:24Speaker 6: balls to do it?
- 27:25Speaker 3: Yeah, that one I did, but it took me probably
- 27:27Speaker 3: a year. I should have left ages before that. Guys
- 27:31Speaker 3: will leave, though, if they've found someone else. Yes, yes.
- 27:34Speaker 3: But typically men don't break up. We don't know how
- 27:37Speaker 3: to do it.
- 27:38Speaker 4: Is it that you don't know how?
- 27:39Speaker 3: Pussies.
- 27:40Speaker 4: Yeah, you are pussies. I do think that. Well, today
- 27:43Speaker 4: I'm going to help you out.
- 27:44Speaker 6: I'm going to run through a bit of a workshop
- 27:46Speaker 6: here on how to break up with a woman and
- 27:48Speaker 6: how to do it properly and amicably and respectfully.
- 27:51Speaker 3: Okay, making it clear I don't need this help.
- 27:53Speaker 6: This is not essentially for you, Mikey. Yes, you're very
- 27:57Speaker 6: happy in your relationship.
- 27:59Speaker 4: This is for anyone in the car listening or, you know.
- 28:02Speaker 3: Or past me.
- 28:03Speaker 4: Or past Mikey, yeah.
- 28:04Speaker 3: That I could have used on many a relationship.
- 28:06Speaker 4: Here's when not to do it.
- 28:07Speaker 6: Make sure you don't do it, yeah. You're not going
- 28:09Speaker 6: to do it on her birthday. You're not going to
- 28:11Speaker 6: do it on Valentine's Day. You're not going to do
- 28:13Speaker 6: it before, like, let's say she's got a uni assignment
- 28:16Speaker 6: or a big event where she's speaking at or something
- 28:19Speaker 6: that can derail that.
- 28:22Speaker 4: You know, life event for her. You're not going to
- 28:23Speaker 4: do it before then.
- 28:24Speaker 3: What if, though, her birthday is coming up, it's a
- 28:27Speaker 3: milestone and you're like, this is bullshit, we shouldn't spend
- 28:31Speaker 3: it together.
- 28:31Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 28:32Speaker 3: Should you just go through the motions?
- 28:34Speaker 6: Well, is that a get out of jail free card
- 28:37Speaker 6: so you don't have to buy her a gift? A
- 28:39Speaker 6: milestone birthday gift?
- 28:41Speaker 4: Is that what that's about?
- 28:42Speaker 3: Well, it could be, yeah. But no, just don't do
- 28:44Speaker 3: it then.
- 28:45Speaker 4: I still wouldn't do it on her birthday.
- 28:47Speaker 3: Okay. Christmas Day?
- 28:48Speaker 4: No, no Christmas Day.
- 28:50Speaker 3: New Year's.
- 28:51Speaker 6: When she's going through something like a family illness or
- 28:54Speaker 6: death or something, which can be a little bit tricky
- 28:56Speaker 6: because sometimes parents have cancer or stuff and you kind
- 28:59Speaker 6: of want to stick by them.
- 29:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:03Speaker 4: I would just try to avoid, you know, doing it
- 29:06Speaker 4: when she's drunk as well. Oh. You know, when you've
- 29:09Speaker 4: had a few drinks.
- 29:09Speaker 3: She'll lose it at you. So do it sober. Not
- 29:11Speaker 3: even that.
- 29:12Speaker 6: She could also be like, pretend like she didn't remember
- 29:15Speaker 6: it the next day. Like it was just a bad dream.
- 29:18Speaker 3: Did we really break up?
- 29:19Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 29:20Speaker 3: Okay.
- 29:20Speaker 4: The best place to do it.
- 29:21Speaker 3: Oh, where?
- 29:22Speaker 6: If you are wanting to break up with your partner
- 29:25Speaker 6: is at her house. Don't invite her around to yours.
- 29:28Speaker 6: Don't do it in public.
- 29:30Speaker 3: Go to her home.
- 29:31Speaker 6: Go to her home because then after you've spoken to
- 29:34Speaker 6: her kindly, you can then leave. If she comes to
- 29:38Speaker 6: yours and she's being blasphemous, up with, there are very
- 29:41Speaker 6: high chances that she's not going to want to leave.
- 29:43Speaker 4: She's going to beg.
- 29:44Speaker 3: She could smash your stuff up too.
- 29:47Speaker 4: That too.
- 29:48Speaker 6: You want to do it in her house so that– It's,
- 29:53Speaker 6: you know, she doesn't have to make the humiliating drive home.
- 29:56Speaker 3: I get you. It's nicer. Go in and do it
- 29:58Speaker 3: and then leave her. But I have heard about breaking
- 30:01Speaker 3: up in public. Is that not a thing? You're meant
- 30:03Speaker 3: to take them to a restaurant or something? Oh, my gosh.
- 30:06Speaker 2: No?
- 30:06Speaker 4: Do not take them to a restaurant. That would be horrendous.
- 30:09Speaker 3: Meet in a public place?
- 30:10Speaker 5: No.
- 30:11Speaker 3: Okay, okay. I'm learning here.
- 30:13Speaker 4: Yeah, you definitely want to do it at her house.
- 30:15Speaker 3: Okay.
- 30:16Speaker 6: Occasionally, if she doesn't want to invite you in, you
- 30:19Speaker 6: could potentially do it in her car.
- 30:21Speaker 3: Oh, meet. Somewhere by the river or whatever and do
- 30:24Speaker 3: a break up there.
- 30:26Speaker 4: Definitely never in public. Here's what to say. Because men
- 30:30Speaker 4: like to beat around the bush and they're sometimes gutless
- 30:33Speaker 4: and cowardly.
- 30:34Speaker 3: It's not you, it's me.
- 30:35Speaker 6: Yeah, and like, I still really love you, but just
- 30:37Speaker 6: I need to work on myself.
- 30:39Speaker 4: Yeah, the timing's not right.
- 30:41Speaker 3: What about I'm too busy right now?
- 30:43Speaker 4: No, just be straight up.
- 30:45Speaker 3: Okay.
- 30:45Speaker 4: Tell the truth.
- 30:46Speaker 3: Really?
- 30:47Speaker 4: Tell the truth.
- 30:48Speaker 3: So if you found another woman.
- 30:51Speaker 4: Tell the truth.
- 30:52Speaker 3: Yeah. She's going to find out anyway.
- 30:53Speaker 6: Not only is she going to find out, but it–
- 30:57Speaker 6: It would help her process it and get over you quicker.
- 31:02Speaker 6: If you're leaving her with these breadcrumbs like it's not you,
- 31:05Speaker 6: like I still love you, but I need to do
- 31:07Speaker 6: some soul searching or now it's just not the right time,
- 31:11Speaker 6: that's leaving.
- 31:11Speaker 4: Her with hope.
- 31:12Speaker 3: Yeah, don't let them like walk away thinking there's a
- 31:15Speaker 3: glimmer of hope.
- 31:15Speaker 4: Yeah, and don't lead them on.
- 31:17Speaker 6: Don't make her think that she needs to work on
- 31:20Speaker 6: herself or anything like that.
- 31:22Speaker 4: Be straight up. And let's be honest, nine out of
- 31:24Speaker 4: ten times when men are leaving, it's because they have
- 31:26Speaker 4: found somebody else.
- 31:27Speaker 3: So you should tell her that.
- 31:29Speaker 5: Absolutely.
- 31:30Speaker 3: I met Diane from work and we've been banging on
- 31:32Speaker 3: the photocopier.
- 31:35Speaker 6: You don't need to go into details, but you could
- 31:37Speaker 6: absolutely be honest and say, hey, I've met somebody and.
- 31:42Speaker 4: I've developed feelings for somebody. And before I do the
- 31:45Speaker 4: wrong thing, even if you are, I need things to
- 31:47Speaker 4: end with us.
- 31:48Speaker 3: That'll go down well.
- 31:49Speaker 4: That's going to suck a lot, but she'll at least
- 31:51Speaker 4: be able to get over you quicker because she probably
- 31:54Speaker 4: will end up hating you.
- 31:55Speaker 3: Absolutely. Once you tell her about Diane from work.
- 31:58Speaker 4: Sure. Diane from work. And afterwards... There is to be
- 32:04Speaker 4: no contact.
- 32:05Speaker 3: The no contact rule. I agree with that.
- 32:07Speaker 4: The no contact rule. You can't check in.
- 32:09Speaker 3: No.
- 32:09Speaker 6: Even though you might want to check in and you
- 32:11Speaker 6: think it's the right thing to do, don't check in.
- 32:13Speaker 3: I remember a girlfriend once after she broke my heart.
- 32:15Speaker 3: That's right. I used to have a heart.
- 32:17Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 32:17Speaker 3: I remember the next day it was something like just
- 32:20Speaker 3: checking in, seeing how you're doing.
- 32:22Speaker 4: Oh, but doesn't that feel like a pity message?
- 32:24Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely.
- 32:25Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 32:26Speaker 4: Did you reply?
- 32:26Speaker 3: I did. And I remember at the time replying like, oh,
- 32:28Speaker 3: I'm devastated. Were you like, please take me back?
- 32:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:30Speaker 3: What I should have wrote was, I'm fine.
- 32:32Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 32:33Speaker 3: No, really, because the best way to get someone back
- 32:34Speaker 3: is to act like you don't care. Not that this
- 32:36Speaker 3: is a lesson on that, but that's my lesson tomorrow.
- 32:40Speaker 4: I think as well.
- 32:40Speaker 3: How to trick someone into getting back with you. I'll
- 32:43Speaker 3: bring that tomorrow.
- 32:44Speaker 4: And also the last thing.
- 32:45Speaker 3: Because she came back.
- 32:47Speaker 4: Oh, she came back, did she?
- 32:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:48Speaker 4: But you said that you were devastated.
- 32:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:51Speaker 4: So that your theory doesn't work.
- 32:52Speaker 8: No, no, no, no.
- 32:53Speaker 3: After a while, I worked out how to act. But
- 32:55Speaker 3: you've got to tune in this time tomorrow to hear that.
- 32:58Speaker 3: How to win someone back has broken your heart. Sorry,
- 33:00Speaker 3: I've derailed your segment.
- 33:01Speaker 6: Yeah, and also, you're still playing games. I'm trying to
- 33:05Speaker 6: teach you how to be a better man.
- 33:07Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Tomorrow, how to win someone back, though.
- 33:09Speaker 3: Keep going. What else do we do?
- 33:10Speaker 6: Well, you just don't want to be out posting your
- 33:12Speaker 6: social life, you know, straight after you've broken up with
- 33:15Speaker 6: this girlfriend of yours.
- 33:16Speaker 4: No posts. Give it at least four weeks.
- 33:20Speaker 3: So don't act like you're living your best life with
- 33:21Speaker 3: Diane from work.
- 33:22Speaker 4: Don't act like you're living your best life. Do not
- 33:23Speaker 4: post Diane.
- 33:25Speaker 3: Don't take Diane to Bali.
- 33:26Speaker 4: Don't take– what has just happened to you? Don't post
- 33:30Speaker 4: Diane to Bali. I think in.
- 33:34Speaker 3: That would be the respectful thing to do.
- 33:35Speaker 6: Long story short, just be honest, even if it's going
- 33:39Speaker 6: to hurt.
- 33:40Speaker 4: Lying to a woman and stringing her along hurts more.
- 33:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:43Speaker 6: Just be a decent human being. Relationships end. They run
- 33:47Speaker 6: their course. People do fall out of love and they
- 33:50Speaker 6: meet other women and... I think honesty is always the
- 33:53Speaker 6: best policy and I don't think any man ever really
- 33:56Speaker 6: leads with that because I think you're all chicken shit.
- 34:00Speaker 3: It's a good lesson. I mean, it's easier just to
- 34:02Speaker 3: ghost when you hear all of that, isn't it? Can
- 34:05Speaker 3: I add one in?
- 34:06Speaker 4: We're trying to avoid. Add one in, sure.
- 34:08Speaker 3: From a dude that's been broken up with before? Don't
- 34:11Speaker 3: do it on a weeknight.
- 34:13Speaker 7: Oh, like.
- 34:14Speaker 4: Why?
- 34:15Speaker 3: Yeah, well, especially with the jobs I've, like.
- 34:18Speaker 4: 15 years of breakfast radio. Oh, like a Sunday night
- 34:20Speaker 4: would suck?
- 34:20Speaker 3: Oh, I remember a Tuesday night at like 8pm. I'm like, oh,
- 34:24Speaker 3: sick bra. I've got to get up at 4am. You've
- 34:26Speaker 3: just ruined everything.
- 34:27Speaker 4: So what night would you prefer?
- 34:30Speaker 3: Make it a Friday night.
- 34:31Speaker 4: Oh, so you can go out.
- 34:31Speaker 3: Give me the weekend to get over it. Yeah, don't
- 34:34Speaker 3: do it on a weeknight. Any job you're doing.
- 34:36Speaker 4: You're just going to get over it in a weekend?
- 34:38Speaker 3: You're not going to get over it in a weekend,
- 34:39Speaker 3: but you're not going to have to get up and
- 34:40Speaker 3: go to work the next day, are you? Yeah, I
- 34:42Speaker 3: suppose at least.
- 34:42Speaker 4: You can keep yourself busy that weekend.
- 34:44Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 34:44Speaker 4: Go and catch up with mates.
- 34:46Speaker 3: Give them a few days to recover. Yeah. Anyway, on
- 34:48Speaker 3: the show tomorrow, how to win someone back through manipulation.
- 34:51Speaker 3: I'll be doing that.
- 34:51Speaker 4: Through manipulation, yeah.
- 34:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I've got some good tips.
- 34:54Speaker 4: Through game playing.
- 34:55Speaker 3: I do.
- 34:55Speaker 4: You are a bit of a game player.
- 34:57Speaker 3: My younger days. Now I'm a good boy.
- 35:01Speaker 4: You are a good boy.
- 35:02Speaker 3: Actually, I want to hear from you. Have you been
- 35:04Speaker 3: broken up with in a terrible way? What was the
- 35:07Speaker 3: worst way you were dumped? Because we just heard from
- 35:09Speaker 3: Amy some really good advice there. Have you got a
- 35:12Speaker 3: way that you were dumped in the worst way? 131065. Yeah,
- 35:16Speaker 3: or a woman.
- 35:17Speaker 4: Or a woman, yeah.
- 35:18Speaker 3: Because it is typically the women breaking up. You're talking
- 35:20Speaker 3: about the right way to break up with someone because
- 35:22Speaker 3: we were saying a lot of men never do it.
- 35:25Speaker 6: Well, they either never do it or they do the gutless,
- 35:27Speaker 6: cowardly way of doing it and just either disappear or
- 35:32Speaker 6: make something up about it being not the woman, it's
- 35:36Speaker 6: them and they need time or they blame the woman, right?
- 35:38Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 35:38Speaker 3: Yes, so 131065, we were just thinking, what's the worst
- 35:43Speaker 3: way you've been broken up with? How did someone do
- 35:45Speaker 3: it in a really bad way?
- 35:47Speaker 4: I mean, even I, I've done some bad breaking up.
- 35:49Speaker 3: What's the worst one you've done, you reckon?
- 35:54Speaker 6: I was living with a boy in the UK and.
- 35:58Speaker 3: Was that the one where you just came home and
- 36:00Speaker 3: said you'd come back and you didn't come back? Yep.
- 36:02Speaker 6: And then he had to pack up my entire life
- 36:04Speaker 6: and send it to me in tea chests.
- 36:06Speaker 4: And I expected him to just torch everything, but he did.
- 36:08Speaker 4: He sent everything back.
- 36:09Speaker 3: Did you ever, when you did that, did you think
- 36:12Speaker 3: you were going to come back and be with him
- 36:14Speaker 3: and you changed your mind over here?
- 36:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:15Speaker 3: Or did you know?
- 36:16Speaker 4: No, I had every intention of going back.
- 36:20Speaker 3: What happened here?
- 36:22Speaker 4: I caught up with my ex.
- 36:26Speaker 6: I caught up with my ex for a coffee and
- 36:28Speaker 6: I thought it was all going to be amicable.
- 36:30Speaker 4: And I honestly, I just had all the feels. All
- 36:32Speaker 4: my feelings went back.
- 36:34Speaker 6: So I didn't act on it, but I instantly was like,
- 36:37Speaker 6: oh no, this is very bad.
- 36:39Speaker 4: Like I can't go back.
- 36:39Speaker 3: And did you get back with your ex?
- 36:41Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 36:42Speaker 3: For how long?
- 36:43Speaker 6: Two years.
- 36:43Speaker 2: Two years.
- 36:44Speaker 3: Okay. Well, I wonder what would have happened if you'd
- 36:46Speaker 3: stayed with a UK boy. Was he a good boy?
- 36:48Speaker 4: He was lovely.
- 36:49Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 36:50Speaker 3: That was the problem, wasn't it? Too lovely.
- 36:52Speaker 4: No, no. He was a great guy. Nah. I probably
- 36:57Speaker 4: wouldn't be here. I wouldn't have my children. I wouldn't
- 36:58Speaker 4: have met Ryan. So everything happens for a reason.
- 37:01Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 37:02Speaker 4: But I felt like a piece of shit breaking up
- 37:05Speaker 4: with him.
- 37:06Speaker 3: Leicester, was it on FaceTime? Or was it on a
- 37:09Speaker 3: phone call?
- 37:09Speaker 4: It was on a phone call.
- 37:11Speaker 12: Oh.
- 37:11Speaker 4: Oh, it was horrible, though. And I reckon I had
- 37:14Speaker 4: bad karma afterwards.
- 37:15Speaker 3: Did you tell him about the ex?
- 37:16Speaker 4: No.
- 37:17Speaker 3: Oh, I miss home? Or, yeah, I would have gone
- 37:19Speaker 3: with I miss home. You went with I miss home,
- 37:21Speaker 3: didn't you? Yeah. Yeah, Australia's where my heart is.
- 37:24Speaker 6: I mean, you sent out advice about being honest, and
- 37:26Speaker 6: I was not honest myself.
- 37:27Speaker 4: But since then, I've been really honest.
- 37:30Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 37:30Speaker 4: It's not... Yeah.
- 37:32Speaker 2: It is.
- 37:32Speaker 3: I agree with you. It is the better thing to do.
- 37:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:35Speaker 5: However.
- 37:37Speaker 3: I wouldn't tell someone. What I wouldn't do is tell
- 37:40Speaker 3: someone that you've been cheating on them. I actually don't
- 37:42Speaker 3: think that serves any purpose to anyone apart from you
- 37:45Speaker 3: relieving your guilt. What you could tell them is I've
- 37:48Speaker 3: met someone.
- 37:49Speaker 4: And there's feelings growing.
- 37:50Speaker 3: But don't tell them you've been playing up on them.
- 37:52Speaker 3: That doesn't serve any purpose. We've got Caitlin on. Hey, Caitlin,
- 37:56Speaker 3: what happened?
- 37:57Speaker 5: Hi.
- 37:58Speaker 14: So I was the one that did the breakup. I
- 38:01Speaker 14: was with this. boy guy whatever you want to call
- 38:05Speaker 14: him um from 15 to 18 yeah 16 i think
- 38:09Speaker 14: um we were on and off all the time it
- 38:10Speaker 14: wasn't very healthy very toxic yeah um and one day
- 38:15Speaker 14: we we'd just gone back together and we live in
- 38:18Speaker 14: geelong so we were on the way to came up
- 38:21Speaker 14: or went to came i'd pissed off so much um
- 38:24Speaker 14: i pulled over i said get in my car and
- 38:26Speaker 14: i left on the ballerina.
- 38:27Speaker 6: Highway oh on the on the highway and did you
- 38:30Speaker 6: ever speak to him again No, I actually blocked him.
- 38:33Speaker 14: He did try and send money. He was, like, sending me, like,
- 38:36Speaker 14: 10 cents trying to message me. I never seen him
- 38:39Speaker 14: again until.
- 38:41Speaker 14: Well, things happened for a reason until we went to
- 38:43Speaker 14: our local nightclub, which is Home House. I was with
- 38:47Speaker 14: my new partner. And I've seen him and he wasn't
- 38:49Speaker 14: very happy with me. But what can you do?
- 38:52Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 38:53Speaker 3: I've heard of that one, by the way. And I
- 38:55Speaker 3: think they tried to stop people doing it, sending your
- 38:58Speaker 3: bank account little increments of money just so they could
- 39:01Speaker 3: send you a message.
- 39:02Speaker 4: What's that about?
- 39:03Speaker 3: Well, they think with the domestic violence and stuff, I'm
- 39:05Speaker 3: pretty sure that the banks tried to outlaw it. So
- 39:07Speaker 3: let's say you've blocked me on everything.
- 39:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 39:10Speaker 3: But I could transfer you 10 cents and leave a
- 39:12Speaker 3: message like, take me back or angry stuff. You know
- 39:16Speaker 3: what I mean?
- 39:17Speaker 4: Oh, I've never heard of that.
- 39:18Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 39:19Speaker 3: It was a big problem for a while.
- 39:20Speaker 5: Yeah, you're right.
- 39:20Speaker 9: The major, the big four banks are actively blocking and
- 39:24Speaker 9: filtering those messaging. So they look for the low money
- 39:27Speaker 9: transfers and then they filter through the things that are said.
- 39:30Speaker 3: Yeah, it's another way of commercial control or contacting or
- 39:33Speaker 3: whatever they call it. Nicole, you're on. Hi, Nicole.
- 39:37Speaker 4: Hey, Nicole.
- 39:37Speaker 12: Hey, how are you going?
- 39:39Speaker 3: Good. What was the bad breakup?
- 39:42Speaker 10: So I was sitting around watching TV, Saturday night, easy,
- 39:46Speaker 10: and then he looks at me and goes, babe, I
- 39:48Speaker 10: love you, but I'm not in love with you.
- 39:50Speaker 12: We had a sick dog at.
- 39:51Speaker 10: The time, and we knew he was going to be
- 39:55Speaker 10: put down.
- 39:55Speaker 5: The next day.
- 39:56Speaker 7: Oh, my goodness.
- 39:58Speaker 10: So I just looked at him and said, can we
- 40:00Speaker 10: take this, you know, can we have this conversation later?
- 40:02Speaker 10: You know, we're dogs and we've got to sleep tomorrow.
- 40:05Speaker 10: And he goes, nah, babe, may as well just rip
- 40:07Speaker 10: the bandaid off. That's going to hurt.
- 40:09Speaker 12: So here you go.
- 40:10Speaker 3: You can't go back from that anyway. He just told
- 40:12Speaker 3: you he's not in love with you anymore. But why
- 40:15Speaker 3: would he do it then?
- 40:16Speaker 4: How many years were you married?
- 40:19Speaker 10: We were together at the time for eight years and
- 40:22Speaker 10: he just said, look, and I said, look, this is
- 40:23Speaker 10: bad time.
- 40:24Speaker 11: It's not good.
- 40:25Speaker 10: And he said, well, it's just going to hurt. So,
- 40:27Speaker 10: you know, may as well just do.
- 40:28Speaker 11: It all at once.
- 40:29Speaker 3: No, he could have done it a month after the
- 40:32Speaker 3: dog died. Tell me, was there another woman?
- 40:36Speaker 12: Oh, yeah, there was, as I found out much later.
- 40:39Speaker 3: Because you just never hear a guy say, I'm not
- 40:41Speaker 3: in love with you anymore.
- 40:42Speaker 2: No.
- 40:42Speaker 3: There's always someone else. Kelly, you're on. Hi, Kelly.
- 40:46Speaker 4: Hey, Kel. Hi, how are you going?
- 40:48Speaker 3: What happened?
- 40:48Speaker 1: I'll just get straight into it. I was with my
- 40:51Speaker 1: partner for about seven years, and then a month after
- 40:53Speaker 1: my 21st birthday, he told me he got another woman pregnant.
- 40:58Speaker 3: While he was with you, obviously.
- 41:00Speaker 1: Obviously, yeah, yeah, because he was at my 21st birthday
- 41:03Speaker 1: and everything.
- 41:03Speaker 4: Wait, he didn't tell you at your 21st birthday, did he?
- 41:06Speaker 1: No, it was a month after.
- 41:07Speaker 4: Oh, okay. He waited a month after.
- 41:10Speaker 1: Yeah, but she was three months pregnant by then, so
- 41:13Speaker 1: he had done the deed two months beforehand, and his
- 41:16Speaker 1: birthday is two months before mine.
- 41:18Speaker 4: Wow.
- 41:19Speaker 5: What a dog.
- 41:20Speaker 3: Yeah. He told her the truth, though.
- 41:23Speaker 4: Well, he had to.
- 41:24Speaker 6: I don't think he would have, but obviously, did she
- 41:27Speaker 6: keep the baby?
- 41:27Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 41:28Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, because I'm back together with him now 20
- 41:32Speaker 1: years later and his son's 22.
- 41:35Speaker 4: Wait, so you guys were together in your early teen,
- 41:38Speaker 4: in early 20s, and then you've split and then you've
- 41:41Speaker 4: kind of rekindled. Oh, I kind of like that.
- 41:44Speaker 3: You still hold it against him though, don't you? You
- 41:47Speaker 3: still hold it against him?
- 41:48Speaker 5: Yeah, well, that's it.
- 41:50Speaker 1: No, no, not at all.
- 41:51Speaker 5: Me and Baylen get along really well.
- 41:54Speaker 6: I'd constantly be bringing it up just because I'm petty
- 41:56Speaker 6: like that.
- 41:58Speaker 4: But in jest, of course.
- 42:00Speaker 3: Antonio, hello, bad breakup. What happened?
- 42:03Speaker 7: So, yes, I broke up with one of my ex-girlfriends.
- 42:08Speaker 7: She came to visit me at my workplace. I was
- 42:10Speaker 7: on my break at work having a cigarette out the front.
- 42:13Speaker 7: And she came with a gift and everything. And I
- 42:16Speaker 7: totally forgot it was Valentine's Day. And, yeah, we had
- 42:18Speaker 7: a huge argument at the front, ended up flicking the
- 42:21Speaker 7: cigarette butt at her, and she chased me around the
- 42:22Speaker 7: car park, and that was the last I ever heard
- 42:24Speaker 7: from her.
- 42:25Speaker 3: But the fight, was the fight over the fact that
- 42:28Speaker 3: you forgot it was Valentine's Day?
- 42:30Speaker 5: Yeah, yep.
- 42:31Speaker 3: When is Valentine's Day?
- 42:32Speaker 4: Valentine's Day is the 14th of February.
- 42:34Speaker 3: I never remember that.
- 42:34Speaker 6: So she has turned up really thoughtfully with a gift
- 42:37Speaker 6: for you, and then you've obviously forgotten.
- 42:40Speaker 4: Did you kind of get on the defense, or were
- 42:42Speaker 4: you apologetic?
- 42:44Speaker 7: No, to be honest, I did not even care that
- 42:47Speaker 7: it was Valentine's Day because I knew I wanted to
- 42:48Speaker 7: just break up with her.
- 42:49Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 42:50Speaker 4: Okay.
- 42:50Speaker 6: So you had already checked out. So you were kind
- 42:53Speaker 6: of just looking for any excuse.
- 42:54Speaker 3: Doesn't that happen? What about like if you've been to,
- 42:56Speaker 3: I'm sure you have, Amy, gone to a wedding with someone.
- 42:59Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 42:59Speaker 2: Right.
- 43:00Speaker 3: And you're not in love with that person anymore or
- 43:02Speaker 3: this relationship's awful. And just being at a wedding and
- 43:05Speaker 3: seeing everyone else celebrate their love.
- 43:08Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 43:08Speaker 3: And you look over and you're like, oh. Ever happened
- 43:11Speaker 3: to you?
- 43:13Speaker 4: I can't say it has.
- 43:14Speaker 3: Yeah, or like Valentine's Day, all those things that remind
- 43:17Speaker 3: you of love when you're with someone and it's not
- 43:19Speaker 3: going well.
- 43:20Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 43:21Speaker 3: It's terrible. Yeah.
- 43:22Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 43:23Speaker 3: It makes you not want to be there.
- 43:25Speaker 4: Yeah, okay. That's brutal though, flicking a cigarette butt at
- 43:29Speaker 4: her and then... Dumping her and never seeing her again
- 43:32Speaker 4: on Valentine's Day?
- 43:33Speaker 3: It's a bit much, isn't it?
- 43:34Speaker 4: It's one way to go out in a blaze of flames. Yeah.
- 43:38Speaker 3: Nat, celebrity gossip.
- 43:40Speaker 9: Yeah, which celebrity caught their partner cheating on a mid-stroke?
- 43:44Speaker 4: I'll tell you next.
- 43:45Speaker 5: What?
- 43:46Speaker 7: Stroke.
- 43:47Speaker 2: Oh. What?
- 43:48Speaker 3: No, I get it.
- 43:49Speaker 2: Grow up.
- 43:50Speaker 3: What? No, but you meant like stroke.
- 43:53Speaker 4: Mid-stroke.
- 43:58Speaker 3: Do you get it?
- 44:00Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 44:01Speaker 3: The neurological event, not the gesture. A medical episode.
- 44:06Speaker 2: Jesus.
- 44:07Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 44:08Speaker 4: I'm so confused. I'm confused. He was having a stroke.
- 44:12Speaker 4: I don't know what everyone's doing. Mid-stroke means while he's
- 44:16Speaker 4: doing it.
- 44:16Speaker 3: Oh, right. It does mean that. With his hand?
- 44:19Speaker 5: No, no, no.
- 44:19Speaker 4: No, no.
- 44:20Speaker 5: Okay.
- 44:20Speaker 3: Okay. We'll get to that next. Hey, quick one, Amy.
- 44:28Speaker 3: This guy's been fat shamed by his bank. The bank's
- 44:31Speaker 3: done him over.
- 44:32Speaker 4: How? Cut his credit card off.
- 44:35Speaker 3: AI is everywhere, right? It's on every bloody app, everything
- 44:37Speaker 3: we use now. This dude from Perth, he shared an
- 44:41Speaker 3: embarrassing new feature on his online banking. He uses ANZ +. Yeah.
- 44:47Speaker 3: You might be listening now and you use it.
- 44:49Speaker 12: Yep.
- 44:49Speaker 3: It analyzes your past spending. Yes. And then it predicts
- 44:52Speaker 3: what your future spending will be. So it's gone like.
- 44:55Speaker 6: So our mind always says, like, you've got a water
- 44:57Speaker 6: bill coming up, your home loan.
- 44:59Speaker 8: Right.
- 45:00Speaker 4: Certain things, energy, all of those things.
- 45:02Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, all the normal things. Yeah, well, his fat
- 45:04Speaker 3: shamed him because apparently he goes to Macca's so often,
- 45:08Speaker 3: his online banking now lists it as something he will
- 45:10Speaker 3: spend money on in the future.
- 45:12Speaker 4: Oh, my God. It says here that it says he
- 45:14Speaker 4: will be spending... $ 26 at Macca's tomorrow. He must go
- 45:19Speaker 4: to Macca's every day.
- 45:20Speaker 3: Well, that's what I'm thinking, right? So what it's done
- 45:23Speaker 3: is obviously it's just analysed how often he's spending at
- 45:26Speaker 3: the one place. He must go to Macca's every single day.
- 45:30Speaker 3: I went there this morning because I dropped my girlfriend
- 45:32Speaker 3: off at the airport, like the good boy that I am.
- 45:34Speaker 4: Yeah, you're such a good boyfriend.
- 45:35Speaker 3: Yeah, and I had a bit of time, so I
- 45:36Speaker 3: went through the drive-through. I really– I love Macca's, but
- 45:39Speaker 3: I rarely go. I reckon– once every couple of months, maybe.
- 45:44Speaker 3: But it's telling him he is going there every day.
- 45:47Speaker 4: Which means?
- 45:48Speaker 3: They're fat shaming him, basically. Well, are they?
- 45:50Speaker 4: They're just predicting.
- 45:52Speaker 3: Well, he's not going there getting a salad, is he?
- 45:54Speaker 4: Well, who goes to Macca's and gets a salad?
- 45:55Speaker 3: Remember they did that for a while? Where there were
- 45:58Speaker 3: like apple slices? Oh, no.
- 45:59Speaker 6: You know what they do now at my kids' sports games?
- 46:02Speaker 6: If you get man of the match, they used to
- 46:04Speaker 6: give you a Happy Meal.
- 46:05Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 46:05Speaker 4: But the Happy Meal.
- 46:06Speaker 6: Now is not a cheeseburger and chips and a popper.
- 46:09Speaker 6: You get a snack wrap... apple slices and a water.
- 46:14Speaker 4: And you can't swap it. You can't swap it.
- 46:16Speaker 3: Oh, that sounds awful.
- 46:17Speaker 4: My kids just chuck them in the bin now.
- 46:19Speaker 3: So there's a Macca's near me. It's like at an intersection.
- 46:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:22Speaker 3: And you're always stuck in the traffic lights. And sometimes
- 46:24Speaker 3: I look at it. And again, love Macca's. Not shaming
- 46:28Speaker 3: anyone for going there. But there's people in the drive-thru
- 46:32Speaker 3: at like 3 or 4 p.m.
- 46:34Speaker 4: Yeah, it's all the school mums.
- 46:36Speaker 3: But what about dinner?
- 46:38Speaker 6: No, you can go to Macca's and just get like
- 46:40Speaker 6: a McFlurry or a 60 cent.
- 46:42Speaker 4: Cone or however much they are now. Is that what
- 46:44Speaker 4: you do?
- 46:44Speaker 6: I think they're $ 1.
- 46:45Speaker 4: 20 now. No, I don't take my kids.
- 46:48Speaker 6: I mean, my husband took my three kids out to
- 46:51Speaker 6: Macca's the other night and got them a McFlurry as
- 46:53Speaker 6: a special treat.
- 46:54Speaker 3: Sometimes I've seen people eating full meals though. I'm like,
- 46:57Speaker 3: I don't know, I'm very regimented. I'm like breakfast, lunch,
- 47:00Speaker 3: dinner at six. We're aware. Not after six. God, wow.
- 47:04Speaker 4: You can't. I ate lunch at like 10.45 yesterday. Would
- 47:07Speaker 4: that have thrown you?
- 47:08Speaker 3: That's morning tea, darling.
- 47:09Speaker 4: Well, not when you're getting up at four. I'm having
- 47:12Speaker 4: breakfast earlier, so everything's been moved forward.
- 47:15Speaker 3: Am I the only one? I look at these people
- 47:17Speaker 3: in the drive-thru at odd times.
- 47:18Speaker 4: You're definitely the only one.
- 47:20Speaker 3: Who's having dinner at four or three? If you do,
- 47:24Speaker 3: are you then having another dinner? Are you having two dinners?
- 47:27Speaker 4: I don't think they're having dinner at three o'clock. They're
- 47:29Speaker 4: probably having a snack. You can get a little snack
- 47:32Speaker 4: wrap or you can get, I don't know, a muffin.
- 47:36Speaker 3: You'll ruin your tea.
- 47:37Speaker 4: Oh, my God. You sound like my mum.
- 47:38Speaker 1: All right.
- 47:39Speaker 3: What are Aussies been looking up on the internet all week?
- 47:42Speaker 3: Maybe you're using Chad GPT. I know I am. Claude's
- 47:45Speaker 3: a big one. My girlfriend's on that one. Or good
- 47:49Speaker 3: old Google.
- 47:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 47:50Speaker 3: Amy's been going through and you've got all our search history.
- 47:53Speaker 6: Yeah, the trending searches right now.
- 47:55Speaker 3: Well, yeah.
- 47:57Speaker 6: This one has shot back up the Google search rankings.
- 48:01Speaker 6: It is a certain adult website and it is back
- 48:05Speaker 6: in Australia.
- 48:06Speaker 3: Oh, the one that everyone used to use that you
- 48:08Speaker 3: can't use anymore.
- 48:08Speaker 4: Correct.
- 48:09Speaker 3: I thought you had to age verify with an ugly
- 48:11Speaker 3: photo while I'm lying down on my bed.
- 48:13Speaker 6: A few of my girlfriends have sent it to me going,
- 48:16Speaker 6: we're back, baby.
- 48:17Speaker 3: Really?
- 48:18Speaker 4: Yeah, so it was completely blocked in March.
- 48:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 48:21Speaker 6: After the Online Safety Act came in requiring all these
- 48:24Speaker 6: kind of sites to verify the ages of their users.
- 48:27Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 48:27Speaker 4: This particular site chose to also pull out of Australia.
- 48:30Speaker 3: That is why not too hard.
- 48:32Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 48:32Speaker 6: But seven months later, thanks to the new age checking
- 48:35Speaker 6: features introduced by Apple, it's back.
- 48:38Speaker 2: Great.
- 48:38Speaker 3: However.
- 48:38Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 48:39Speaker 6: If you are an Android user, you still can't get on.
- 48:43Speaker 6: You have to have an Apple phone. It's for iOS
- 48:47Speaker 6: users only. So you add your credit card to your
- 48:50Speaker 6: Apple account. And so basically iOS users, they know that
- 48:53Speaker 6: you're over 18.
- 48:55Speaker 8: Right.
- 48:56Speaker 3: And if you've got an Android, you've got to use
- 48:59Speaker 3: your imagination. Remember that?
- 49:03Speaker 4: No, who does that?
- 49:04Speaker 3: Oh, Diane from work.
- 49:05Speaker 4: Oh, my God. Richard Moorcroft. Do you remember him?
- 49:10Speaker 2: I do.
- 49:10Speaker 4: He's one of my dad's favourite.
- 49:12Speaker 3: Yeah. He died, yeah?
- 49:15Speaker 4: He was known for being an anchor on the ABC
- 49:18Speaker 4: for 20 years.
- 49:19Speaker 6: Now, my dad only. ever watches Channel 2.
- 49:21Speaker 3: Same with my parents. We grew up at 7pm' s the
- 49:24Speaker 3: ABC News.
- 49:24Speaker 5: Yes.
- 49:25Speaker 3: Every night, 7pm. Yeah. And it'd be on and it's
- 49:27Speaker 3: around the time dad would be home for dinner and he'd.
- 49:29Speaker 4: Be like, quiet!
- 49:30Speaker 2: Yes.
- 49:30Speaker 3: You're trying to watch the news.
- 49:32Speaker 6: Yes.
- 49:32Speaker 3: So much for our family dinner.
- 49:34Speaker 4: Wow, we have very similar upbringings.
- 49:36Speaker 8: We did.
- 49:36Speaker 6: We had dinner every night at 6.30 so we could
- 49:39Speaker 6: wrap it up. and Dad could be sat for the
- 49:41Speaker 6: 7 o'clock news and the 7.30 report.
- 49:44Speaker 3: Yes, and do you remember the theme? This is such childhood.
- 49:48Speaker 3: They did a remix of this once, actually.
- 49:51Speaker 4: Oh, it's drilled into my brain.
- 49:53Speaker 1: Yep.
- 49:54Speaker 3: Be quiet. Dad wants to watch the news.
- 49:57Speaker 6: And they take every single thing on there as gospel.
- 50:00Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. Well, if it's on the ABC, it's got
- 50:02Speaker 3: to be true. But, yeah, he read it all through
- 50:04Speaker 3: the 80s and 90s, right? Yeah, he did.
- 50:07Speaker 4: He was on there for 20 years, but he has
- 50:09Speaker 4: actually passed away just on Tuesday. Very sad.
- 50:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 50:13Speaker 4: At the age of 70. Youngster.
- 50:15Speaker 6: He'd been diagnosed with cancer early this year, and according to.
- 50:18Speaker 7: Okay.
- 50:19Speaker 3: Was that enough of that?
- 50:20Speaker 4: We're still going on?
- 50:21Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 50:21Speaker 3: I'll just play it.
- 50:22Speaker 6: According to a statement, he died at a time of
- 50:26Speaker 6: his choosing, which sounds.
- 50:28Speaker 4: Like he did bad. A sister dying.
- 50:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 50:30Speaker 3: Which I think is.
- 50:31Speaker 4: Quite a dignified way to go out.
- 50:33Speaker 6: I think if you know, and I think as well,
- 50:35Speaker 6: if doctors know that you're... Headed that way anyway, they will.
- 50:39Speaker 3: It's good that we have that now, isn't it?
- 50:41Speaker 4: Oh, I absolutely agree. I think it's really good.
- 50:44Speaker 6: Now, this is very funny because I remember getting this notification.
- 50:47Speaker 6: I just thought it was spam. So, ASOS was hacked. Now,
- 50:51Speaker 6: ASOS is a huge online.
- 50:55Speaker 3: Clothing?
- 50:55Speaker 6: Clothing, accessories. I'm trying to think what it's similar to.
- 50:59Speaker 6: Kind of like the iconic in Australia, but over in
- 51:01Speaker 6: the UK.
- 51:02Speaker 7: Right.
- 51:02Speaker 6: But you can buy from ASOS. It's all around the
- 51:05Speaker 6: world now. Now, I got this message as well, and
- 51:09Speaker 6: it popped up on my phone. It said, ASOS hacked.
- 51:12Speaker 6: Dear ASOS, DPO and IT, we have fully compromised the
- 51:17Speaker 6: Snowflake instance.
- 51:18Speaker 7: What?
- 51:18Speaker 4: Engage with us or we will leak it.
- 51:20Speaker 3: What does that mean?
- 51:21Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 51:22Speaker 3: So you just ignored it? I saw this popped up.
- 51:24Speaker 4: I just deleted it.
- 51:25Speaker 3: Yeah, you did.
- 51:25Speaker 4: I was like, ah, spam for sure.
- 51:27Speaker 6: But then the hackers have actually spoken out saying that
- 51:29Speaker 6: the customer information is in brackets, is safe on our
- 51:33Speaker 6: server and will not be touched for a designated period,
- 51:37Speaker 6: how long we don't know, you can thank us for
- 51:40Speaker 6: our generous clarity regarding this incident.
- 51:43Speaker 3: They want money. They're bribing them.
- 51:45Speaker 6: Well, ASOS believe that payment details and passwords of its
- 51:48Speaker 6: customers haven't been breached and it's only basic personal information.
- 51:52Speaker 4: However, that is names, that is addresses. It's still very,
- 51:59Speaker 4: I guess.
- 52:01Speaker 3: It is, but don't you just save everything on your
- 52:04Speaker 3: phone and Google and then passwords and addresses? Do you
- 52:07Speaker 3: even think about it these days? No, I don't.
- 52:11Speaker 4: And then when you hear about a company like this
- 52:13Speaker 4: being hacked.
- 52:13Speaker 3: Yeah, being hacked. What are they going to do with it?
- 52:15Speaker 4: Well, the fact that they're.
- 52:16Speaker 6: Like, oh, your details won't be touched for a designated period.
- 52:22Speaker 4: What are they going to.
- 52:23Speaker 6: Anyway, hold everyone hostage.
- 52:25Speaker 3: Sounds like they're holding them hostage, yeah.
- 52:27Speaker 4: And Annie Knight.
- 52:28Speaker 6: Was that the one girl? Yeah, she's Australia's OnlyFans creator.
- 52:33Speaker 6: Annie Knight, she actually got married over the weekend.
- 52:36Speaker 3: Good for her.
- 52:37Speaker 8: Really?
- 52:37Speaker 3: So she retired from the OnlyFans stuff.
- 52:39Speaker 4: No, she's not retiring.
- 52:41Speaker 3: Still doing it.
- 52:43Speaker 6: So she got married to a partner of almost two years,
- 52:45Speaker 6: Henry Brayshaw. Annie and Henry apparently have been friends for
- 52:50Speaker 6: over a decade. They started dating two years ago, and
- 52:53Speaker 6: Henry actually proposed to her a week into going on
- 52:57Speaker 6: these dates. Now- One would find maybe that a little
- 53:01Speaker 6: bit controversial. Like I personally couldn't date an OnlyFans person.
- 53:06Speaker 6: I don't think my husband would either.
- 53:08Speaker 3: I wouldn't, no.
- 53:10Speaker 6: However, they have gotten married and apparently Henry's mother, Sarah-
- 53:17Speaker 6: actually made a really nice speech at the wedding.
- 53:20Speaker 3: Oh, she likes the new daughter-in-law.
- 53:21Speaker 6: Yeah, she spoke very highly of Annie. Henry's father, James, however,
- 53:26Speaker 6: did not attend the wedding. But you can hear a
- 53:29Speaker 6: little bit of Sarah's speech about Annie.
- 53:32Speaker 15: Are inherently kind, loving, generous and deeply empathetic.
- 53:36Speaker 5: Someone who would help anyone if possible.
- 53:38Speaker 3: These are truly beautiful.
- 53:39Speaker 15: Qualities and I suspect the reason your now beautiful wife, Annie, has.
- 53:43Speaker 5: Chosen you to be her life partner.
- 53:46Speaker 15: You are so lucky to have found such an incredible
- 53:48Speaker 15: woman in Annie who has shown me many times over
- 53:52Speaker 15: the years how lucky and blessed you are to have her.
- 53:55Speaker 4: By your side.
- 53:56Speaker 3: She really likes her and isn't bothered by the OnlyFans stuff.
- 53:58Speaker 5: Yeah, no, not at all.
- 53:59Speaker 6: And Annie has revealed that despite being a married woman,
- 54:02Speaker 6: she will not be quitting adult content.
- 54:05Speaker 3: Does she just do stuff herself?
- 54:07Speaker 4: No. She does stuff with other dudes.
- 54:09Speaker 3: Well, it's just another job, isn't it? I wouldn't be
- 54:13Speaker 3: marrying an OnlyFans girl.
- 54:15Speaker 4: Each to their own, hey?
- 54:17Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah. 7U Spotlight's going to present a very special
- 54:20Speaker 3: 70 Years of Channel 7 this Sunday, 8pm on 7. Now,
- 54:26Speaker 3: she hasn't been there for that long.
- 54:28Speaker 8: No.
- 54:29Speaker 3: Sonia Kruger, 20 years, though? 20 years, Sonia?
- 54:33Speaker 12: Mikey, yeah, yeah, pretty much close to that. Isn't it funny,
- 54:37Speaker 12: you know, when you think about it.
- 54:39Speaker 5: 70 years.
- 54:40Speaker 12: ago we had three channels and now we've got i
- 54:45Speaker 12: don't know 47 streamers and we're still going we've got
- 54:49Speaker 12: nothing to watch.
- 54:50Speaker 3: I know i still remember when foxtel came out right
- 54:52Speaker 3: because we just grew up having what did you have
- 54:54Speaker 3: abc 7 9 10 yes on sbs.
- 54:57Speaker 4: Yes right but five in total yeah yeah and then.
- 55:00Speaker 3: Fuck i remember when we got just channel after channel
- 55:02Speaker 3: after channel.
- 55:04Speaker 4: Yeah, I remember. And you're so right, Sonia.
- 55:07Speaker 6: I feel like we are so inundated with shows and
- 55:11Speaker 6: streaming services that sometimes it just gets so overwhelming. I
- 55:14Speaker 6: sat down on the couch yesterday to watch something and
- 55:16Speaker 6: then I just flicked for like 40 minutes and couldn't
- 55:19Speaker 6: land on anything and then just went to bed.
- 55:22Speaker 5: Too overwhelming.
- 55:23Speaker 2: That's it.
- 55:24Speaker 12: We spend 45 minutes just looking for something to watch
- 55:26Speaker 12: and we don't watch anything. Whereas I think the thing
- 55:29Speaker 12: about when you look back at TV and it is
- 55:31Speaker 12: quite nostalgic, you know, the TV used to be the
- 55:34Speaker 12: central point of the room, this giant box. And people
- 55:38Speaker 12: used to have TV rooms and everybody would sit around
- 55:42Speaker 12: and watch the same thing and then talk about it
- 55:44Speaker 12: the next day. And when television was live, it was
- 55:46Speaker 12: great because, you know, the best thing about live television
- 55:49Speaker 12: is anything can happen. And the worst thing is anything
- 55:51Speaker 12: can happen.
- 55:52Speaker 13: So, you know.
- 55:54Speaker 12: Yeah, there's a lot that's covered in the special, that's
- 55:58Speaker 12: for sure. When you think about things like royal weddings
- 56:01Speaker 12: and huge news events to when reality TV first started.
- 56:07Speaker 12: And somebody brought up the other day, Sylvania Waters.
- 56:10Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 56:11Speaker 2: What?
- 56:11Speaker 4: Sylvania Waters?
- 56:13Speaker 12: Do you remember Sylvania Waters?
- 56:14Speaker 4: Was that a reality show?
- 56:15Speaker 12: It was literally... It was. It was like literally one
- 56:19Speaker 12: of the first reality proper kind of fly on the
- 56:23Speaker 12: wall reality type shows around.
- 56:27Speaker 3: Yeah, it was on ABC, I think, and they were
- 56:29Speaker 3: like these Bogan family that lived in Sylvania waters in Sydney.
- 56:33Speaker 4: Was it as bad as The Shire?
- 56:34Speaker 3: Yeah, it was similar. Sonia, tell us for you, how
- 56:39Speaker 3: did you get started in telly? Because you were in
- 56:41Speaker 3: a movie, right? I'm not just making that up. You
- 56:45Speaker 3: were in Strictly Ballroom.
- 56:46Speaker 2: Yes.
- 56:47Speaker 12: Yeah, I was. And then after Strictly Ballroom, I realized
- 56:51Speaker 12: I really wasn't probably a great dramatic actor, but I
- 56:57Speaker 12: loved the whole world of showbiz. And so Wonderworld, which
- 57:00Speaker 12: was this kids' magazine show, they used to advertise in
- 57:03Speaker 12: the paper and say, do you want to be a
- 57:05Speaker 12: TV star? So I sent them a ransom note and
- 57:08Speaker 12: I said, we've got Tina Sparkle, which was the character
- 57:12Speaker 12: I played in Strictly Ballroom. And if you want to
- 57:13Speaker 12: see her alive, call this number. So I ended up
- 57:16Speaker 12: getting that job. And that was my first job in TV.
- 57:19Speaker 12: And then from there, I went to work on 11 a.m.,
- 57:21Speaker 12: which was a. which was a morning kind of news
- 57:25Speaker 12: program on Channel 7, and we were regularly outrated by
- 57:28Speaker 12: Concepts in Mathematics on the ABC. So, look, it wasn't
- 57:32Speaker 12: a huge success, but it was my very first job there.
- 57:35Speaker 12: And I remember the guy who gave it to me,
- 57:37Speaker 12: Grant Rule, I'm forever sort of indebted to him for
- 57:40Speaker 12: giving me a start.
- 57:41Speaker 4: Yeah, that's so... It's so impressive.
- 57:44Speaker 6: You've been with The Seven Network for, obviously, two decades now,
- 57:47Speaker 6: and I think you even came back after leaving.
- 57:51Speaker 4: And so, obviously, you must have.
- 57:53Speaker 6: You must have seen so much good stuff, good news,
- 57:57Speaker 6: so many exciting events. Has there been a moment in
- 58:00Speaker 6: television that has really stuck with you?
- 58:06Speaker 12: Oh, my goodness. Do you know, that's such a hard...
- 58:09Speaker 12: It's a great question, Amy, but it's such a hard
- 58:11Speaker 12: question to answer.
- 58:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 58:13Speaker 12: I think the thing that has stuck with me are
- 58:16Speaker 12: the friendships that I've made. And what we've done in
- 58:21Speaker 12: the 70 Years Special on 7 is we've got seven
- 58:24Speaker 12: people who've been there, you know, for a very long time.
- 58:27Speaker 12: So we've got Bruce McIverney, Joe Criggs, Michael Usher is
- 58:30Speaker 12: hosting it, Georgie Parker, Larry Emder.
- 58:34Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 58:35Speaker 12: Effie, you know, Mary Costas.
- 58:37Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 58:39Speaker 12: And they're all people, Natalie Barr, they're all people that
- 58:43Speaker 12: we are all actually really good buddies and great friends.
- 58:47Speaker 12: And I think people assume that television is very dog-eat-dog
- 58:51Speaker 12: and it's cutthroat.
- 58:52Speaker 7: And all of that.
- 58:53Speaker 12: But you actually, well, I can only speak for myself.
- 58:56Speaker 12: I have made some really amazing friends along the way.
- 59:01Speaker 12: And the fact that we all got to sit around
- 59:03Speaker 12: and kind of talk about those memories of television as kids,
- 59:07Speaker 12: when we were kids growing up and watching it. it's really,
- 59:11Speaker 12: it was a great, fun, special to make. And it's
- 59:14Speaker 12: very warm and quite funny. I mean, we did talk
- 59:18Speaker 12: about a couple of highlights. For me, Dancing with the Stars,
- 59:21Speaker 12: when Tom Williams took his shirt off, right?
- 59:24Speaker 5: Yep.
- 59:24Speaker 13: Okay.
- 59:24Speaker 5: Okay.
- 59:26Speaker 12: How could we forget?
- 59:27Speaker 4: Yep.
- 59:27Speaker 12: And normally for me to get a tradie to take
- 59:29Speaker 12: their shirt off, I have to pay cash up front.
- 59:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 59:32Speaker 12: You know, I do quite a bit of unnecessary renovation
- 59:36Speaker 12: at my place.
- 59:37Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, for that reason.
- 59:38Speaker 12: But, you know, look, Tom was always on time. Unusual
- 59:41Speaker 12: for a tradie to be on time for a job. But,
- 59:43Speaker 12: you know, Terry was. He'd turn up for rehearsal.
- 59:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 59:45Speaker 12: But, you know, memories like that. Working with Daryl on
- 59:48Speaker 12: Dancing with the Stars.
- 59:50Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 59:50Speaker 12: I watched him on Hey Hey as a kid. So, yeah,
- 59:53Speaker 12: I mean, it was... It's quite amazing.
- 59:55Speaker 3: Hey, before we let you go, I think you could
- 59:58Speaker 3: help us settle this debate. Yesterday, Amy was saying she
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: wants to put up a Christmas tree now on the
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: 8th of October.
- 1:00:06Speaker 6: No, I said I want to put it up sometime
- 1:00:09Speaker 6: in October. I don't normally do this, but I figured
- 1:00:13Speaker 6: I love my Christmas tree. I paid a lot of
- 1:00:15Speaker 6: money for it, and I've got to get more cost
- 1:00:17Speaker 6: per use out of it.
- 1:00:18Speaker 5: No.
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: Now, I know you love Christmas, Sonia. When should it
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: go up? I say 1st of December.
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: Plus, I love Christmas.
- 1:00:25Speaker 5: Oh, no.
- 1:00:26Speaker 12: December's too late.
- 1:00:27Speaker 4: No, no, no.
- 1:00:27Speaker 12: You've got to get into the Christmas spirit much, much
- 1:00:30Speaker 12: earlier than that.
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: That's right.
- 1:00:31Speaker 12: I'm a November person.
- 1:00:33Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:00:33Speaker 12: I like November because it's like Thursday. You know how
- 1:00:36Speaker 12: you get Thursday night fever and you sort of start
- 1:00:39Speaker 12: celebrating the.
- 1:00:39Speaker 7: Weekend on a Thursday night?
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: I'm going to do that tonight.
- 1:00:41Speaker 12: For me, that's... That's what November is. November is let's
- 1:00:45Speaker 12: start celebrating Christmas now.
- 1:00:46Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:00:47Speaker 8: All right.
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: All right. Well, there we go.
- 1:00:49Speaker 4: You're outnumbered.
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: Well, if you go and look at our socials, the
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: KISS socials, by the way, most people are agreeing with you. Yeah. Women.
- 1:00:56Speaker 4: Yeah, of course, because women bring the cheer and the
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: Christmas spirit.
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: Hey, Sonia, we'll be checking it out. Seven News Spotlight
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: presenting a very special 70 Years of Seven. TV event
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: Sunday night, 8 p.m. on Channel 7. She's been there
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: for 20 of the 70. We'll be watching, Sonia.
- 1:01:13Speaker 12: Thanks, guys.
- 1:01:17Speaker 7: Thanks, Sonia.
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: Yeah, you are on Kiss, Mikey. Amy Drudd, last calls now. Oh,
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: here's Cherie on 131065. Good morning. What's up? Hello.
- 1:01:28Speaker 5: Good morning.
- 1:01:29Speaker 4: Hi, how are you?
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: Very good. What do you want to talk about today?
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: Oh, I just heard what you're all chatting about, thought
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: I had something to contribute.
- 1:01:38Speaker 4: What about?
- 1:01:38Speaker 6: We were talking about the worst ways you've ever been
- 1:01:41Speaker 6: broken up with.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: Well, I was 10 weeks pregnant with my second child,
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: 11 years with someone, 7 years married, had a two
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: and a half year old and it was a little bit,
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: you know, moody, withdrawn. So I just said, you know,
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: we need to chat and he went to bed, went
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: to bed and Didn't say anything. I sat on the
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: end of the bed and said, no, come on, we've
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: got to talk about this.
- 1:02:04Speaker 12: What's going on?
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: And he got out of bed and just started packing
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: his suitcase. And I said, what are you doing? I said,
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: what are you doing? And he said, well, I don't
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: love you anymore. I'm not attracted to you anymore. And yeah,
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: I don't want to be your husband. So I'm leaving.
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: What?
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: He just started packing.
- 1:02:23Speaker 12: And I said, what?
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: I said, no, you need to.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: What?
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: I said, I'm pregnant and... I just left my job
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: two weeks earlier, had a big farewell at work to
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: be a stay-at-home mom.
- 1:02:34Speaker 5: I'd worked my guts out.
- 1:02:35Speaker 12: We were in a good financial position.
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: Then I said, you know, what about the two-and-a-half-year-old? And
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: he said, oh, she'll be fine. She's a smart girl.
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: And he said, you're an attractive woman. You'll find someone.
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: Wow.
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: Hatted me on the shoulder as he said it and
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: walked out the door.
- 1:02:51Speaker 4: Cherie, I am gobsmacked.
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: Now, was there another woman?
- 1:02:56Speaker 4: 100% there would have been.
- 1:02:57Speaker 5: Yes, there was.
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: Yes, there was. But also, so he has.
- 1:03:02Speaker 6: Walked out on you, his daughter, his unborn baby, with
- 1:03:08Speaker 6: what sounds like absolutely no remorse. Like, what a piece
- 1:03:14Speaker 6: of shit.
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: And it goes to show what we've been saying the
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: whole time. Dudes only leave when there's another woman. He
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: was waiting for the right time. He must have felt
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: that was the right time. And he's gone off to
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: be with the other woman.
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: And you know the funny thing, it took me a
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: year to fall pregnant with my daughter and I fell
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: pregnant straight away with my son. So I feel like
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: he probably thought, that's why he was moody. I think
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: he knew he was on the way out, but he
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: was waiting when it suited him. And then I fell
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: pregnant probably. He went along with the charade of me
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: talking about having another child. Yeah, yeah, we'll have another child.
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: Thinking it wasn't going to happen that soon and it did.
- 1:03:49Speaker 4: And Cherie, is he still with the other chick?
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: No. He married her. She broke his heart doing the
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: dirty on him after seven years. But he's with someone
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: else and has been for.
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: A while now.
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: Are you okay?
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: Are you okay? It's a long time ago, but you
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: never forget it.
- 1:04:10Speaker 4: No, you wouldn't forget that. I can't imagine that feeling.
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: Good on you. I'm so sorry. Yeah, thank you for sharing, Sheree.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: That's all right. Have a great day, guys.
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: Now, Susan, hey.
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: Good morning.
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: How are you going?
- 1:04:24Speaker 5: Good.
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: What do you want to chat about?
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: Hey, just got an interesting fact. You're talking about height there.
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: Oh, we did have a chat about height. Yeah. What
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: did you want to say?
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: If you have your baby's blue book, I know you.
- 1:04:36Speaker 4: Don't have a baby, Mikey, but.
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: Amy can check her baby's blue book and have a
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: look at the height of two years old. Times that
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: by two, and that gives you your adult height.
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: Wow, I'm confused. So whatever height they are at two.
- 1:04:52Speaker 4: Yeah, so I'm just trying to remember. So at two,
- 1:04:55Speaker 4: what are they usually, like a metre or something?
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: Well, I can't remember, but I mean, looking at the
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: facts of my, I've got four sons.
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: And looking at their blue books, what they were at
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: two years old, it gave me their adult height.
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: So you only grow twice the amount of being two.
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: The height you are at two, you double that. Is
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: that what you're saying?
- 1:05:16Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: And that gives you your adult height.
- 1:05:18Speaker 8: Wow.
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: It's a crazy fact, hey.
- 1:05:22Speaker 4: That's interesting.
- 1:05:22Speaker 6: The only thing I will say is I remember both
- 1:05:25Speaker 6: my brothers, you know, kids have growth spurts at all
- 1:05:29Speaker 6: different times.
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:05:30Speaker 6: Both my brothers were like really short, little skinny runts
- 1:05:35Speaker 6: as kids.
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: You said runts, yeah?
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: I said runts.
- 1:05:38Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:05:40Speaker 6: And they were short in high school as well. I
- 1:05:43Speaker 6: remember I left for the UK when I.
- 1:05:45Speaker 4: Was 20 and it was when I was over there
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: and I came back and they all of a sudden
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: had shot up and they were well over six foot.
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: Yeah, wow. A lot of chicken hormones or something.
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: Yeah, it must have been. How many centimetres is six foot?
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: 180?
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: Yeah, 180. So 180 to be honest.
- 1:06:05Speaker 6: Six foot you would have had to be not 90
- 1:06:08Speaker 6: centimeters as a two-year-old is that right yes.
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: Yeah better go back and look at your brother's blue.
- 1:06:14Speaker 6: Books i don't think my brothers will have one but
- 1:06:16Speaker 6: i'll definitely look at my.
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: Kids thanks susan that's really interesting.
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: Imagine you looked at one of them and they were
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: really short as a two-year-old and you'd go oh They're
- 1:06:25Speaker 3: not going to be tall.
- 1:06:25Speaker 6: Well, I know my third child will be like six
- 1:06:30Speaker 6: foot five because he came out like a three-month-old and
- 1:06:34Speaker 6: he is now basically as tall as my 10-year-old daughter.
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: Well, there you go. He's going to be a big boy.
- 1:06:39Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: The others?
- 1:06:41Speaker 6: Charlie is pretty standard and I'd say Bobby's a little
- 1:06:45Speaker 6: bit standard too.
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: What are you going to do about him then?
- 1:06:48Speaker 4: Absolutely nothing. I'm just going to love him for who
- 1:06:50Speaker 4: he is. What the hell?
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: Makes sense. Okay. Tomorrow, Aussie comedian Sean McCullough. You can
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: win a brand new car. Thousands to be won with
- 1:06:59Speaker 3: our pop quiz. Gordie coming up. Your chance to go
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: and see Harry Styles live. Have a good day, Amy.
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:07:07Speaker 4: See you tomorrow for Friday.
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. Did the week go quick?
- 1:07:11Speaker 4: Yes, because it was a short week because we had
- 1:07:13Speaker 4: a public holiday.
- 1:07:14Speaker 7: It's true.
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: We'll see you tomorrow morning, 6 a.m. Bye-bye.
- 1:07:18Speaker 13: Bye.
