- 0:00Hello friends! Welcome back to Wonderfully Made,
- 0:04Bible Stories for Children. I'm so glad you're
- 0:08here. Last time, we saw how God worked through
- 0:14Elisha. Water was made clean, and a woman in
- 0:18need was provided for in a surprising way. Now
- 0:22we hear about something even more unexpected.
- 0:26A promise will be made to a woman who had no
- 0:29child. A son will be given. And something will
- 0:34happen that no one could have imagined. Are you
- 0:37ready? Let's jump in. There was a woman who lived
- 0:56in a town called Shunem. Whenever Elisha passed
- 1:00by, she welcomed him into her home and gave him
- 1:04food. She saw that he was a man of God. So she
- 1:09and her husband prepared a small room for him.
- 1:12A place he could rest whenever he came by. She
- 1:17showed kindness again and again. Elisha wanted
- 1:21to do something for her. He learned that she
- 1:25had no son and her husband was old. So he told
- 1:29her that by this time in the next year, she would
- 1:33hold her son. The woman was surprised. But soon,
- 1:38the promise came true. God gave her a son. As
- 1:44the child grew, one day he went out to the fields
- 1:47where his father was working. After some time,
- 1:51he became unwell. He was brought back to his
- 1:55mother. She cared for him but the child became
- 1:59still. The woman did not give up. She placed
- 2:03him in the room that had been prepared for Elisha.
- 2:07Then she set out to find him. When she reached
- 2:11him, she held on to him and told him what had
- 2:15happened. Elisha went with her. Elisha went into
- 2:20the room where the child was. He prayed to the
- 2:23Lord. Then, after some time, the child became
- 2:28warm again. Life returned. The child opened his
- 2:33eyes. Elisha called the woman. When she came
- 2:38in, she saw her son alive. She took him and went
- 2:42out. God had done what no one could do. Let's
- 2:54think about this story together. The woman showed
- 2:59kindness to Elisha again and again. Why do you
- 3:04think that mattered? When something went wrong,
- 3:10she went to Elisha. What does that show about
- 3:14where she placed her trust? And God restored
- 3:22the child. Who is the one who truly had the power?
- 3:29What does this story teach us about God when
- 3:33things feel difficult or confusing? God sees.
- 3:41God hears. And God is able to do what we cannot.
- 3:48Thanks for joining me today. Next time on Wonderfully
- 3:52Made, we'll see a moment when there is not enough
- 3:56food. A need will grow. And once again, God will
- 4:01provide in a way no one expected. Until then,
- 4:06remember, you are wonderfully made. Bye for now.
