Latest / Solomonster Sounds Off / AEW Dynamite 9/3/25 Review | Tony Khan MOVES ALL OUT And OMG They Killed Kenny Again!
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Oh my goodness. The don Kallis family all over the
- 0:04Speaker 1: show tonight, which is what happens when you have most
- 0:07Speaker 1: of the roster under your tutelage. They of course were
- 0:11Speaker 1: in the final segment on the show, but they were
- 0:13Speaker 1: in multiple segments here on this episode of Dynamite. You
- 0:16Speaker 1: know who was not on this episode of Dynamite, That
- 0:19Speaker 1: guy right there. Two weeks now, it's been two weeks
- 0:23Speaker 1: since we saw the return of Wardlow at Forbidden Door.
- 0:29Speaker 1: He didn't really do much on the show last week,
- 0:32Speaker 1: not much of a follow up to his big return
- 0:34Speaker 1: after a year and a half. So tonight he wasn't
- 0:38Speaker 1: there at all. He wasn't even in the background. He
- 0:41Speaker 1: went from being the background noise to no noise at all.
- 0:45Speaker 1: So if you happen to see this man walking down
- 0:48Speaker 1: the street, if you happen to see him walking down
- 0:50Speaker 1: the side of the road, please call your local authorities
- 0:54Speaker 1: and alert them. They would really very much like to
- 0:57Speaker 1: know where this man is. Where is Wardlow? No one knows.
- 1:03Speaker 1: We'll leave that there in case somebody recognizes him. Maybe
- 1:06Speaker 1: they'll chime in. It also looks like they have written
- 1:11Speaker 1: Kenny Omega off of television based on the angle they
- 1:14Speaker 1: did at the end of Dynamite Here tonight. Kenny Omega,
- 1:19Speaker 1: you know, there's been some talk about him maybe being
- 1:21Speaker 1: a little beaten up. Dave Melter made it out to
- 1:24Speaker 1: sound like he was very beaten up, and I think
- 1:26Speaker 1: Kenny chimed in on social media and said, well, you know,
- 1:29Speaker 1: everybody is beaten up to some extent. He tried, he
- 1:33Speaker 1: kind of tried to play it down a little bit.
- 1:35Speaker 1: So I don't know if there's any particular injury that
- 1:37Speaker 1: this man is dealing with or not, but he certainly
- 1:41Speaker 1: didn't show any signs of an injury in the eight
- 1:43Speaker 1: man tag team made event tonite. But when the match
- 1:45Speaker 1: was over, Kenny Omega had a neck brace around his neck.
- 1:49Speaker 1: He was all laid out outside the ring after one
- 1:52Speaker 1: Kyle Fletcher put him, planted him, threw a table outside
- 1:56Speaker 1: the ring with a souplex, and it certainly, I mean,
- 2:00Speaker 1: the impression that I got, you know, watching the end
- 2:02Speaker 1: of the show tonight, was that we are not going
- 2:05Speaker 1: to be seeing Kenny Omega for quite a while potentially,
- 2:09Speaker 1: So he disappeared after his loss to Okada at all.
- 2:15Speaker 1: In we didn't see him again until Forbidden Door, when
- 2:18Speaker 1: he showed up to be a part of the big
- 2:20Speaker 1: lights out steel cage match, and now it looks like
- 2:23Speaker 1: he's gone again. The Roman reigns of AAW. He shows up,
- 2:30Speaker 1: there's an inevitable injury angle, he gets the shit kicked
- 2:34Speaker 1: out of him, and then we don't see him for
- 2:35Speaker 1: a while. That seems to be the story of Kenny
- 2:38Speaker 1: Omega here in AAW. But you know, last week we
- 2:40Speaker 1: were wondering which member of the Don Kallis family are
- 2:44Speaker 1: they setting up for a championship match with Hangman Page
- 2:47Speaker 1: in Toronto at all out, because that was the direction
- 2:50Speaker 1: that they went in, and realistically it could really only
- 2:53Speaker 1: be one of three names. Either Kyle Fletcher, who's the
- 2:56Speaker 1: TNT champion, Kazuska Okata who's the unified champion that seems
- 3:02Speaker 1: very unlikely, or the one member who does not have
- 3:05Speaker 1: a championship, which is Kenoski Takeshta, And I was thinking, well,
- 3:10Speaker 1: takesha is the one that would seem to make the
- 3:12Speaker 1: most sense in this equation. After tonight, it appears that
- 3:17Speaker 1: we got our answer. It looks like Kyle Fletcher is
- 3:21Speaker 1: certainly for Toronto. It looks like being set up for
- 3:25Speaker 1: a championship match against Hangman Adam Page based on the
- 3:28Speaker 1: angle they did with Fletcher and Omega at the end there,
- 3:32Speaker 1: and then he was talking some smack to Hangman. That's
- 3:34Speaker 1: how the show went off the air. So it appears
- 3:37Speaker 1: that Fletcher is going to be the chosen one again.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Just based on what we saw tonight, it looks like
- 3:42Speaker 1: he's going to be the chosen one for that spot.
- 3:44Speaker 1: You know. My thought on this, I mentioned this actually
- 3:48Speaker 1: on TNT last night, but maya idea was, I don't
- 3:52Speaker 1: know that there needs to be an aw World Championship
- 3:56Speaker 1: match at all Out if they don't have a real
- 3:59Speaker 1: suitable anger in mind for Hangman. Clearly they want to
- 4:02Speaker 1: get away from the MJF stuff for a little bit
- 4:04Speaker 1: and then they'll circle back around to it. Kyle Fletcher
- 4:08Speaker 1: is the TNT champion, you know, Kyle Fletcher has been
- 4:10Speaker 1: the TNT champion now for somewhere around maybe a month, right,
- 4:15Speaker 1: not that long. And it's just a weird thing to
- 4:18Speaker 1: me now that you're gonna slot him in a potential
- 4:21Speaker 1: World Championship match here at all Out. It just doesn't
- 4:24Speaker 1: seem necessary to me. Why not do a tag team match?
- 4:28Speaker 1: Why not save Kenny Omega? If he is all beat up,
- 4:31Speaker 1: save him for Toronto, because you know in Canada they
- 4:33Speaker 1: would love to see Kenny Omega. And I mean, I
- 4:37Speaker 1: suppose it's possible he can make his grand return on
- 4:39Speaker 1: TV before then and actually have a match on that show.
- 4:43Speaker 1: But I'm just saying, you know, based on the angle
- 4:44Speaker 1: that we saw here, this this felt to me like
- 4:47Speaker 1: their way of writing him off to where he may
- 4:50Speaker 1: not even be on the All Out show. Maybe I'm wrong.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Maybe he'll be back in two weeks and then they'll
- 4:54Speaker 1: set up Fletcher and Omega one on one in Toronto.
- 4:57Speaker 1: But let's assume that's not gonna happen. Why not do
- 5:00Speaker 1: Omega and Hangman in a tag team match? Been so
- 5:03Speaker 1: long since we've seen them as tag team partners against
- 5:06Speaker 1: the Kallus family, but against Kazuchka Okada and Kenoski Takeshta
- 5:12Speaker 1: because they have been teasing dissension. They've been teasing issues
- 5:15Speaker 1: between Okada and Takesha. First of all, you get a
- 5:18Speaker 1: great tag team match out of it. That's number one.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Number two, you could potentially then set up for a
- 5:23Speaker 1: World Championship match at wrestl Dream between Hangman and Takesha.
- 5:28Speaker 1: The following month, but you continue to play into these
- 5:31Speaker 1: issues between Okada, who obviously has history with Omegas, so
- 5:35Speaker 1: putting them in the ring together makes sense. But the
- 5:38Speaker 1: issues with Okada and Takesha can be furthered. So you know,
- 5:42Speaker 1: in my mind, I'm like, man, you know what I
- 5:44Speaker 1: could buy into that that would be a great attraction
- 5:46Speaker 1: for that show. They obviously felt differently. They wanted to
- 5:49Speaker 1: go a different way with it. And look, if this
- 5:52Speaker 1: is what we are going to get, if we are
- 5:55Speaker 1: in fact going to get Kyle Fletcher and Hang Page
- 6:01Speaker 1: and not Kyle Fletcher and Kenny Omeg at all Out,
- 6:04Speaker 1: It's even if he does wrestle Kenny Omega at all Out,
- 6:07Speaker 1: it's a great spot right for Kyle Fletcher to be in.
- 6:10Speaker 1: I'm not saying that. If you're Kyle Fletcher, you're fucking
- 6:12Speaker 1: loving this because you either get to work with Kenny
- 6:14Speaker 1: Omega or Hangman Page for the world championship. So it's
- 6:18Speaker 1: a great spot for him to be in, you know,
- 6:20Speaker 1: as the TNT champion going in there and challenging for
- 6:23Speaker 1: the world title. I will not object to them wanting
- 6:27Speaker 1: to throw a spotlight on Kyle Fletcher because he is
- 6:30Speaker 1: one of their you know, obviously their their marquee rising
- 6:34Speaker 1: young stars in the company that they've created here. So
- 6:37Speaker 1: that was how Dynamite went off the air tonight with
- 6:40Speaker 1: that angle at the end of their eight man tag
- 6:42Speaker 1: team match. Another all Star eight man tag team match.
- 6:44Speaker 1: We're getting an all Star women's tag team match on
- 6:47Speaker 1: Collision this weekend. We get them every week. Darby Allen
- 6:50Speaker 1: continues to make life a living hell for the Death Riders,
- 6:54Speaker 1: as the Death Riders have made life a living hell
- 6:56Speaker 1: for all of us for almost a year, so he
- 6:59Speaker 1: can continues to be a thorn in the side of
- 7:01Speaker 1: John Moxley. Is he still is trying to get that
- 7:03Speaker 1: match with Moxley. You know, they are obviously going to
- 7:09Speaker 1: be building to this in Toronto, but Moxley still has
- 7:12Speaker 1: not said yes to the challenge that Darby is laid out.
- 7:15Speaker 1: So everywhere Moxley goes, Darby is not far behind. So
- 7:18Speaker 1: they furthered that story, and actually he helped cost the
- 7:21Speaker 1: Death Riders possibly the aw tag team titles that they
- 7:25Speaker 1: challenge for tonight. Mercedes Monette, she has a challenger for
- 7:30Speaker 1: all Out Wait until you find out who it is,
- 7:33Speaker 1: you'll never guess, but she has a challenger for All Out,
- 7:37Speaker 1: the Women's World Champion, Tony Storm as of yet does not.
- 7:41Speaker 1: In fact, the only bit of Tony Storm that we
- 7:43Speaker 1: had on the show tonight was her basically begging somebody
- 7:47Speaker 1: to step up and challenge her for the championships. So
- 7:50Speaker 1: it's still an open question as far as who that
- 7:53Speaker 1: person is going to be. But Mercedes does in fact
- 7:56Speaker 1: have an opponent now for that show. What we got
- 7:59Speaker 1: on doneah tonight. We had three good matches on this show.
- 8:03Speaker 1: We had a TBS title match between Mercedes, Monet and
- 8:07Speaker 1: and Alex Windsor that was very good. We had a
- 8:11Speaker 1: tag team title match first defense for Brody King and
- 8:15Speaker 1: Bendido against Claudio and Wheeler You. And we had the
- 8:19Speaker 1: all star eight man tag team main event, the big
- 8:21Speaker 1: party match of the night. So those are your three
- 8:25Speaker 1: good matches here on this card, and lots of chaos
- 8:27Speaker 1: between what happened in the opening segment. There was chaos
- 8:31Speaker 1: in the segment involving Cope and Christian and FTR we
- 8:34Speaker 1: already know their matches official for the pay per view,
- 8:37Speaker 1: and then the insanity that we had their postmatch here
- 8:40Speaker 1: at the end of the show. Far as All Out
- 8:43Speaker 1: is concerned. We had two more matches made official for
- 8:46Speaker 1: that show, one of which is a TBS title match.
- 8:48Speaker 1: The other is Ricochet in the Gates of Agony. They
- 8:50Speaker 1: threw down the gauntlet to the Hurt Syndicate and MVP accepted.
- 8:55Speaker 1: So that's going to be a trios match that we
- 8:57Speaker 1: now know is happening in Toronto. And we don't know
- 9:00Speaker 1: about the world title match, but it seems likely that
- 9:04Speaker 1: we know who the challenger now is going to be,
- 9:07Speaker 1: so as far as the pay per view is concerned,
- 9:09Speaker 1: those were the key developments coming out of the show tonight,
- 9:13Speaker 1: but as far as the pay per view goes, that
- 9:16Speaker 1: was hardly the only development. We had some big news
- 9:19Speaker 1: today and before I even get into all the different
- 9:23Speaker 1: goings on here from the show itself, and I'll expand
- 9:28Speaker 1: more on this on the sound Off this weekend, but
- 9:31Speaker 1: I have to mention this because it broke today and
- 9:33Speaker 1: it was major news on the aw front. It is official.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Tony Khan blinked. Tony Khan has made the only move
- 9:41Speaker 1: that Tony Khan could possibly make in this situation. If
- 9:44Speaker 1: he was going to do something, it was the only
- 9:47Speaker 1: move that made sense. I'm actually kind of surprised that
- 9:49Speaker 1: he did it now that we're a few weeks out.
- 9:53Speaker 1: But Tony Khan went and has moved the start time
- 9:56Speaker 1: for All Out, one of his signature annual shows that
- 10:00Speaker 1: he is already locked in eight pm Eastern in Toronto
- 10:03Speaker 1: at the Scotia Bank Arena, he has moved the start
- 10:06Speaker 1: time of the show up by five hours. Instead of
- 10:09Speaker 1: eight pm Eastern time, the main card will now begin
- 10:12Speaker 1: at three pm Eastern time. You would assume then that
- 10:15Speaker 1: means that the pre show is starting either at one
- 10:18Speaker 1: or one thirty in the afternoon. It's going to be
- 10:22Speaker 1: a long day of wrestling, especially if you want to
- 10:25Speaker 1: try to catch all of it. It's going to be
- 10:27Speaker 1: a very long day of wrestling. So that was made
- 10:32Speaker 1: official today and obviously the reason for that, no matter
- 10:35Speaker 1: what anybody tries to tell you, I did see a
- 10:37Speaker 1: note from Fightful Select that said that people within AAW
- 10:42Speaker 1: Let me see if I can find the quote here.
- 10:43Speaker 1: It was a matter of people in AW sources saying
- 10:47Speaker 1: that the success of Forbidden Door being in the afternoon
- 10:51Speaker 1: helped contribute to the decision to move the All Out
- 10:54Speaker 1: car Well, I may have contributed in some small way,
- 10:58Speaker 1: but we know why the show was the show was
- 11:01Speaker 1: moved so that it is no longer in direct head
- 11:03Speaker 1: to head competition with WWE Wrestled Paloozo because WWE is
- 11:08Speaker 1: starting the ESPN Era, They're going to make a big splash,
- 11:11Speaker 1: and they are trying to drown out AW on one
- 11:14Speaker 1: of their signature weekends of the year. And Tony Kahn
- 11:18Speaker 1: really did not have any other move to make here
- 11:20Speaker 1: other than to move his show to a different time
- 11:23Speaker 1: so there would be very little overlap between the two
- 11:26Speaker 1: shows that he could have left it alone if he
- 11:28Speaker 1: wanted to and said, you know what, fuck you, I
- 11:30Speaker 1: was there first, and I'm not moving my show because
- 11:33Speaker 1: it sets a bad precedent now for the future, where
- 11:36Speaker 1: what's he gonna do. Is he gonna move future shows
- 11:38Speaker 1: as well? Is this going to be a regular recurring
- 11:41Speaker 1: thing where Tony is going to be forced to announce
- 11:43Speaker 1: something and then move his show. He's not going to
- 11:45Speaker 1: want to do that. So I could see where people
- 11:48Speaker 1: would think that it's a bad precedent to set. But
- 11:52Speaker 1: in this case, if I were in his shoes, I
- 11:56Speaker 1: might have done it a little sooner, but I would
- 11:58Speaker 1: have made the same move because as much as the
- 12:01Speaker 1: AW diehard fans are are very loyal to AW and
- 12:05Speaker 1: they will be watching All Out no matter what. There
- 12:09Speaker 1: is a lot of overlap between the two audiences. You
- 12:11Speaker 1: do have a lot of fans who are going to
- 12:13Speaker 1: be forced to choose if they want to watch one
- 12:15Speaker 1: show live over the other, and then they try to
- 12:18Speaker 1: avoid spoilers so nothing gets spoiled. So you know, for
- 12:21Speaker 1: some people it's an important decision to make. I can
- 12:24Speaker 1: only watch one live and I want to just focus
- 12:27Speaker 1: my attention on one. Which one do I choose? And
- 12:30Speaker 1: there are going to be people who were going to
- 12:32Speaker 1: choose the WWE show. In this case, he is taking
- 12:35Speaker 1: away the head to head competition and saying, you know what,
- 12:38Speaker 1: we'll get an early start. We'll jump out first, and
- 12:41Speaker 1: what we'll try to do is put on a show
- 12:44Speaker 1: that makes you not want to flip the channel because
- 12:47Speaker 1: by the time they get to the latter portion of
- 12:50Speaker 1: the All Out Show, WWE is already going to be starting.
- 12:53Speaker 1: There's no way, there's no way the AW show is
- 12:57Speaker 1: going to be over when the WWE show. The WA
- 13:00Speaker 1: show starts at seven o'clock Eastern, not eight to seven
- 13:03Speaker 1: pm start. This is an AW pay per view. You
- 13:07Speaker 1: honestly believe that that show is going to be over
- 13:09Speaker 1: at seven o'clock. Of course not, but if they're in
- 13:13Speaker 1: the middle of a major match, if they could time
- 13:15Speaker 1: it just right, maybe the main event is on and
- 13:18Speaker 1: they're and they're putting together a kick ass show. Maybe
- 13:21Speaker 1: there are some people who will not want to flip
- 13:23Speaker 1: away from that, right, So that's that's the only real
- 13:26Speaker 1: competition that we'll have between those two shows that night.
- 13:30Speaker 1: In my opinion, AW afternoon shows are much better. I
- 13:35Speaker 1: prefer the AW afternoon shows. Tony Kahn loves putting on
- 13:39Speaker 1: these marathon shows. He loves just stockpiling these shows with
- 13:44Speaker 1: as many matches as he can possibly give you. Every
- 13:47Speaker 1: time that he puts on a pay per view, he
- 13:51Speaker 1: wants to give you the best pay per view that
- 13:53Speaker 1: you've ever seen in your entire life. And that's that's
- 13:56Speaker 1: a noble goal to have. But what we end up
- 13:59Speaker 1: with these marathon shows, and you know what, if you're
- 14:03Speaker 1: gonna have a marathon show four hours, five hours. They
- 14:07Speaker 1: had a show a few months ago that was five
- 14:09Speaker 1: and a half hours. If you are going to do that,
- 14:13Speaker 1: it is much better to do it at three o'clock
- 14:15Speaker 1: in the afternoon or one o'clock in the afternoon than
- 14:19Speaker 1: it is to first start that show at eight o'clock
- 14:21Speaker 1: at night, because whether I was doing this show or
- 14:24Speaker 1: I'm just watching as a fan and nothing more, that's
- 14:27Speaker 1: too long. I'm sorry, it's too long to first start
- 14:31Speaker 1: a show like that at eight o'clock and then at
- 14:33Speaker 1: twelve thirty in the morning it's still going. And I
- 14:36Speaker 1: know it's happened before because I've had to push reviews
- 14:39Speaker 1: back until almost one o'clock in the morning because of
- 14:41Speaker 1: this shit. So on a personal level, I favor the
- 14:45Speaker 1: afternoon shows. I find them to be more tolerable that way.
- 14:49Speaker 1: For me as a fan and as a content creator,
- 14:52Speaker 1: what it means now is that I will be able
- 14:54Speaker 1: to watch aw wall Out live for the most part.
- 14:58Speaker 1: I'll be able to watch that show live and get
- 15:00Speaker 1: most of that done and then switch over to the
- 15:03Speaker 1: WWE show, and then go live that night to cover
- 15:06Speaker 1: the WWE show, and then the next day I have
- 15:09Speaker 1: the sound off that I record and I can cover
- 15:12Speaker 1: all out on the podcast. So for me personally, it
- 15:15Speaker 1: makes my life a little bit easier than it would
- 15:17Speaker 1: have been if we had the head to head competition.
- 15:19Speaker 1: It's just the nature of when the podcast drops. You know,
- 15:22Speaker 1: my show drops on Sundays every week, so fuck me.
- 15:26Speaker 1: If we had to do this head to head shit
- 15:29Speaker 1: on a Saturday night, yeah, it's going to be a problem.
- 15:32Speaker 1: So I love it. I'm glad that he made this move.
- 15:36Speaker 1: A little surprised that he did. I thought he was
- 15:37Speaker 1: going to stay the course, But I think it was
- 15:40Speaker 1: the right move to make. It's the right move to
- 15:42Speaker 1: make if you're someone like me. Maybe it's the right
- 15:45Speaker 1: move to make if you're in the same boat with
- 15:47Speaker 1: me and you prefer the afternoon shows. However, that is
- 15:51Speaker 1: not necessarily true for everybody who is going to either
- 15:53Speaker 1: be watching the show or more importantly, be in attendance
- 15:56Speaker 1: at the show, because there are some people who are
- 15:59Speaker 1: going to be fucked by this move. Tony kh had
- 16:03Speaker 1: already moved in excess. I think of ten or eleven
- 16:05Speaker 1: thousand tickets for this pay per view, Like the advance
- 16:11Speaker 1: on that show is very strong. There are people who
- 16:14Speaker 1: were planning to be at all out. Maybe they were
- 16:18Speaker 1: gonna go with friends or whatever the case may be,
- 16:22Speaker 1: and they were going to an eight o'clock show. All
- 16:24Speaker 1: of a sudden, Tony Kah says, you know what, we're
- 16:27Speaker 1: gonna move that up five hours. Not everybody who bought
- 16:30Speaker 1: a ticket is going to be able to go to
- 16:31Speaker 1: the show, or maybe now they're going to have to
- 16:33Speaker 1: cancel this. They're going to have to rearrange that. Now.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Imagine if you don't live in Toronto, if you're elsewhere
- 16:39Speaker 1: in Canada, if you're not even in Canada, you're in
- 16:41Speaker 1: the US, you're flying to Canada for the show, You've
- 16:44Speaker 1: already booked your airfare, You've already booked your hotel. Like,
- 16:47Speaker 1: you're fucked. You're fucked. You've got to figure something out now.
- 16:50Speaker 1: And I sympathize with those people. Those people have every
- 16:53Speaker 1: right to be upset by this move. You were never
- 16:56Speaker 1: going to be able to please everyone by moving the show.
- 17:00Speaker 1: For me, I love it. For those people, it sucks
- 17:03Speaker 1: to be you, and you have every right to be
- 17:05Speaker 1: upset about that. But Tony Kahan made what he felt
- 17:08Speaker 1: was going to be the best decision he could make
- 17:11Speaker 1: for business, and for business, he did not want to
- 17:15Speaker 1: go head to head with not just the WWE show,
- 17:17Speaker 1: but they're loading that show up, you know, intentionally loading
- 17:21Speaker 1: that show up. And because it's the first ESPN show.
- 17:25Speaker 1: That's what all the stories are going to be about,
- 17:27Speaker 1: and the whole weekend is going to be about that.
- 17:30Speaker 1: So he just felt, you know what's it's in our
- 17:32Speaker 1: best interest to move this show, and in the best
- 17:34Speaker 1: interest of some of our fans to move the show,
- 17:37Speaker 1: but not all of his fans. So it cuts both ways,
- 17:40Speaker 1: and I totally understand why some of those people would
- 17:42Speaker 1: be upset. Now, the other element here is that not
- 17:47Speaker 1: only is this show being bumped up to three o'clock
- 17:49Speaker 1: Eastern Time, but it will be the first AW pay
- 17:52Speaker 1: per view. Finally, after all the months of talk and
- 17:55Speaker 1: waiting and waiting and waiting for some kind of update
- 17:58Speaker 1: on HBO Max, going all the way back to last fall,
- 18:02Speaker 1: the first AW pay per view that will be streaming
- 18:05Speaker 1: live on HBO Max will be all out. You will
- 18:08Speaker 1: have the ability via Max to buy the pay per view.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Keyword there is by This is not a peacock situation
- 18:15Speaker 1: where you just open the app and boom, it's there
- 18:17Speaker 1: and that's it. You will have to pay for the show. Now,
- 18:21Speaker 1: that was always going to be the case. That's not
- 18:23Speaker 1: a shock. It might be a disappointment to some people,
- 18:25Speaker 1: but you can't say if you've been paying attention. You
- 18:28Speaker 1: can't say, oh, I was surprised by this, Like we
- 18:31Speaker 1: already knew you were gonna have to pay for the show.
- 18:33Speaker 1: AW is not out of the pay per view business.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Pay per view is still the lifeblood of this company. Clearly,
- 18:40Speaker 1: you know, domestically week to week it's not their attendance,
- 18:44Speaker 1: but as far as pay per views, they still rely
- 18:46Speaker 1: on that pay per view income. Tony Kan just had
- 18:48Speaker 1: a ring of honor pay per view last week where
- 18:50Speaker 1: shit went sideways with the stream and he opted to
- 18:52Speaker 1: put the second half of the show up on YouTube
- 18:55Speaker 1: and stream it for free on YouTube, which was a
- 18:58Speaker 1: very cool move on his part. By his own admission,
- 19:01Speaker 1: he claims he did that even though he was going
- 19:04Speaker 1: to lose hundreds of thousands of dollars. That's what he claims.
- 19:08Speaker 1: That's that's for a ring of honor pay per view.
- 19:11Speaker 1: The AW pay per views are the ones that really
- 19:12Speaker 1: make money. There's still a pay per view business. I know,
- 19:17Speaker 1: pay per view is kind of an antiquated model at
- 19:19Speaker 1: this point. We just had Mark Shapiro of TKO talking
- 19:22Speaker 1: about how pay per view is dead. We made this
- 19:24Speaker 1: deal to move UFC over to Paramount plause pay per
- 19:27Speaker 1: views a thing of the past. Then Dana White came
- 19:30Speaker 1: out and basically contradicted it and said that we might
- 19:32Speaker 1: still do some pay per views, but it is it
- 19:35Speaker 1: is an antiquated model, right. Pay per view is not
- 19:38Speaker 1: what it was thirty years ago. But they rely on that,
- 19:42Speaker 1: and I understand that it may be a necessary evil
- 19:45Speaker 1: for them. What I was waiting to find out is
- 19:48Speaker 1: what would be the discounted price, because there has to
- 19:50Speaker 1: be some sort of you know, appeal when it comes
- 19:54Speaker 1: to HBO Max that would make you want to watch
- 19:57Speaker 1: the show there as opposed to wherever else you normally
- 20:00Speaker 1: only would watch these shows. Now, for me, it's YouTube.
- 20:03Speaker 1: They've been offering the pay per views through YouTube. I've
- 20:06Speaker 1: opted to just buy them through there. Some people watch
- 20:08Speaker 1: them on Triller, some people watch them on Amazon Prime.
- 20:13Speaker 1: I know PPV dot com. You can still watch it there,
- 20:16Speaker 1: and there's a few other ways that you can watch
- 20:18Speaker 1: these shows. So and by the way, the shows will
- 20:21Speaker 1: still be available on all of those platforms. They're not
- 20:23Speaker 1: going away, but you will have to pay fifty bucks
- 20:26Speaker 1: at least in this country. I don't know how it
- 20:28Speaker 1: is elsewhere, but you will have to pay fifty bucks,
- 20:32Speaker 1: So what are they going to charge to watch it
- 20:33Speaker 1: through HBO Max. To me, the sweet spot was around
- 20:38Speaker 1: thirty bucks. You would save twenty dollars per pay per view.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Obviously I wish it was lower than that, but I thought,
- 20:45Speaker 1: you know, thirty thirty is reasonable. Thirty would be like
- 20:48Speaker 1: a real discount. Although for this first show we just
- 20:51Speaker 1: got we just had a whole discussion about this, and
- 20:53Speaker 1: I brought this up on TNT last night. For this
- 20:55Speaker 1: first show, I would have thrown like as a fuck
- 20:58Speaker 1: you to WWE, Like I didn't even know that Tony
- 21:02Speaker 1: was going to move the showtime. My thought was, you
- 21:05Speaker 1: throw that pay per view on there for free, just
- 21:08Speaker 1: the first one, just to try to reel in as
- 21:11Speaker 1: many people as possible. Hey, look, guys, celebrate with us.
- 21:15Speaker 1: It's a big party. We're finally bringing these pay per
- 21:17Speaker 1: views to HBO Max. And because we love you guys
- 21:21Speaker 1: so much, guess what you can be all in for
- 21:23Speaker 1: all out and not pay anything whatsoever, right or something
- 21:27Speaker 1: like that, just to bring people in. And then going forward,
- 21:30Speaker 1: you can price these things out at twenty bucks, thirty bucks,
- 21:33Speaker 1: whatever it is. The price point is going to be
- 21:36Speaker 1: forty dollars. We found that out. I've been waiting months
- 21:40Speaker 1: to find out what this so called discounted price is
- 21:42Speaker 1: going to be. Instead of paying fifty bucks if you
- 21:46Speaker 1: have MAX or if you get MAX, you will only
- 21:49Speaker 1: only only pay forty dollars for these pay per views.
- 21:54Speaker 1: That's a misfire. Now, I don't know if Tony. I
- 21:58Speaker 1: don't know how much sway Tony himself has in that
- 22:04Speaker 1: decision on what to charge for these pay per views
- 22:07Speaker 1: through Max. I truly don't because when people ask Tony
- 22:11Speaker 1: Kin about the Max numbers in terms of viewership, he
- 22:15Speaker 1: always claims, honestly, I don't know, which blows my mind,
- 22:20Speaker 1: by the way, unless he's full of shit, it blows
- 22:23Speaker 1: my mind that he would have no insight, especially a
- 22:25Speaker 1: guy like him who's into metrics and all kinds of stuff.
- 22:28Speaker 1: The numbers right, But he has claimed before that I
- 22:32Speaker 1: don't know, but I'm told we're doing really well. So
- 22:34Speaker 1: if you take him at his word, even Tony himself
- 22:38Speaker 1: isn't aware of how his weekly shows are performing numbers
- 22:42Speaker 1: wise on HBO Max. Who's to say that he would
- 22:46Speaker 1: have had any input into how much they're charging for
- 22:49Speaker 1: these pay per views. That may well have been a
- 22:51Speaker 1: Warner Bros. Warner Brothers Discovery call. But whoever made that call,
- 22:56Speaker 1: I think it's a mistake because if you really want
- 23:00Speaker 1: wanted to offer a discount and get people to shed
- 23:03Speaker 1: whatever platforms are that they usually watch these shows on
- 23:07Speaker 1: and make HBO max their exclusive home for these pay
- 23:10Speaker 1: per views, I think you got to do a little
- 23:11Speaker 1: bit better than forty bucks because you have a few
- 23:14Speaker 1: different tiers on HBO Max. Right, you have three tiers.
- 23:18Speaker 1: I mean all these streaming services, they all have different tiers. Right,
- 23:22Speaker 1: they have one with ads, they have one without ads,
- 23:25Speaker 1: they have one with some ads. So with HBO Max,
- 23:28Speaker 1: which I think is one of the more expensive streaming services,
- 23:32Speaker 1: they do have a basic level with ADS for nine
- 23:35Speaker 1: to ninety nine a month. So think about it if
- 23:39Speaker 1: you don't subscribe to HBO Max, and it would be
- 23:42Speaker 1: totally understandable if you didn't, because there's so many streaming
- 23:46Speaker 1: services and now you got the ESPN streaming service ten
- 23:50Speaker 1: dollars a month for the most basic level of HBO
- 23:54Speaker 1: Max with ads. If you are forced to pay the
- 23:58Speaker 1: ten dollars a month that you were were not paying
- 24:00Speaker 1: before just to get these pay per views and you're
- 24:04Speaker 1: getting a discounted rate of forty dollars. You're still paying
- 24:07Speaker 1: fifty bucks a month if that's all you watch on Max. Now,
- 24:10Speaker 1: there's a lot of people who watch other shit on
- 24:12Speaker 1: HBO Max. Some people don't. There are a lot of
- 24:16Speaker 1: wrestling fans out there. They just watch wrestling, you know.
- 24:19Speaker 1: I mean if all those years like Raw would be on.
- 24:22Speaker 1: I lost count after a while of how many shows
- 24:24Speaker 1: USA Network would put on or Spike TV would put
- 24:28Speaker 1: on after Monday Night Raw to try to use the
- 24:30Speaker 1: wrestling audience as elite in for whatever bullshit show they
- 24:33Speaker 1: were putting on after wrestling, and they cycled through so
- 24:36Speaker 1: many different shows over the years. The wrestling audience wanted
- 24:39Speaker 1: to watch wrestling. I think the only show that ever
- 24:41Speaker 1: had any real success in that spot was The Ultimate Fighter,
- 24:45Speaker 1: and boy did that blow up into something. The wrestling
- 24:48Speaker 1: fans are very loyal to wrestling. They don't necessarily give
- 24:51Speaker 1: a shit about anything else. Not everybody is a big
- 24:54Speaker 1: sports fan and they watch you know, basketball and football
- 24:56Speaker 1: and all this other stuff. So you have people out
- 24:59Speaker 1: there who don't need MAX, but for aaw you get
- 25:03Speaker 1: no discount. If you fall into that category, you get
- 25:07Speaker 1: no discount, you're still paying fifty bucks even worse if
- 25:13Speaker 1: you pay for one of the higher tiers, because the
- 25:14Speaker 1: middle tier is the standard one that's seventeen dollars a month,
- 25:18Speaker 1: and then the premium one is twenty one dollars a month.
- 25:22Speaker 1: So if you had even the standard one, you're paying
- 25:25Speaker 1: seventeen dollars a month plus forty for each aw show.
- 25:30Speaker 1: You actually end up paying more than you would for
- 25:33Speaker 1: just buying the pay per view on YouTube or Amazon Prime.
- 25:37Speaker 1: You may as well just buy it on there. So
- 25:39Speaker 1: I just think that price point is a misfire. They
- 25:43Speaker 1: could have done a lot better on that front. Whoever
- 25:45Speaker 1: made that call, whoever is responsible for that. But at
- 25:50Speaker 1: least now it is on Max. Finally, it's just another
- 25:55Speaker 1: platform of many that you can purchase these pay per views.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Moving the all out card to three o'clock, though, I
- 26:01Speaker 1: think was the right move. Some people are going to
- 26:03Speaker 1: be upset about it. They're going to say, oh, Tony,
- 26:05Speaker 1: you know, he's running away from WWE. He's making a
- 26:09Speaker 1: business decision, that's it. That's all it is. He's making
- 26:14Speaker 1: a decision that he feels is going to help his
- 26:16Speaker 1: show and help his company. At the end, of the
- 26:18Speaker 1: day because there's nothing he can do. WWE is going
- 26:22Speaker 1: to stack that wrestle Paloza show up. I mean, look
- 26:25Speaker 1: at some of the matches that they're already teasing for
- 26:27Speaker 1: that show. They're stacking this thing up like it's a WrestleMania.
- 26:32Speaker 1: There's nothing he could do other than move the show.
- 26:36Speaker 1: There was nothing he could do, but I think he
- 26:39Speaker 1: made the right call. Today's episode is sponsored by Betterhelp.
- 26:44Speaker 1: You can find advice for everything these days, my god.
- 26:47Speaker 1: I mean, good advice is one thing that's great, but
- 26:50Speaker 1: when you have people giving you advice about all sorts
- 26:52Speaker 1: of things, they may not necessarily be qualified to be
- 26:55Speaker 1: giving it. And when it comes to your mental health

- 28:40Speaker 1: this is your aw Dynamite review. It is Wednesday, September third,
- 28:44Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. I am the Solemn Monster. Thank you
- 28:47Speaker 1: for being with me here on a Wednesday night. We
- 28:50Speaker 1: already had one Nick Wayne's mom super chat job. They're

- 29:05Speaker 1: of these streams. I appreciate the support very much. I
- 29:08Speaker 1: will be reading all of your messages. Duff's FIDS is
- 29:10Speaker 1: here with us. Get them on in and I will
- 29:13Speaker 1: be reading them here in just a little bit. I
- 29:15Speaker 1: do want to extend a thank you to our boy
- 29:18Speaker 1: death Site, who I believe is with us, and the
- 29:20Speaker 1: Chad Death Site dropped five gifted memberships before we even
- 29:24Speaker 1: went live, so thank you for that. Ex caliber. He
- 29:30Speaker 1: checked in on commentary at the beginning of the show
- 29:33Speaker 1: here and was interrupted by Gabe Kidd, who walked out
- 29:36Speaker 1: with a microphone and said, everybody is on his time.
- 29:39Speaker 1: And he got into the ring and he asked where
- 29:41Speaker 1: Darby Allen was, asking ye shall receive Darby. Allen entered
- 29:46Speaker 1: from behind. He attacked Gabe Kid. I think he emerged
- 29:50Speaker 1: from underneath the ring. Kid removed the turnbuckle pad. Darby
- 29:56Speaker 1: pulled him into the exposed buckle. Kid came back and
- 29:59Speaker 1: dumped Darby on the exposed steel and then worked him
- 30:02Speaker 1: over at ringside. Darby shoved him into the barricade. Kid
- 30:06Speaker 1: though turned around and just walloped him with a clothesline. Darby, though,
- 30:12Speaker 1: ended up going up top while Kid was busy arguing
- 30:14Speaker 1: with fans in the front row, and he hit a
- 30:17Speaker 1: top rope coffin drop onto a standing Gabe Kid on
- 30:20Speaker 1: the floor. They got back in the ring. Wheeler you'd
- 30:23Speaker 1: to enter it, Oh, Joy, Wheeler you to came out
- 30:26Speaker 1: and Darby quickly sent him back out of the ring.
- 30:29Speaker 1: Darby pulled out a skateboard that had thumbtacks in the
- 30:32Speaker 1: bottom of it and you to return. He was fighting
- 30:35Speaker 1: with Darby, who quickly got the better of him. Darby
- 30:38Speaker 1: went up and he used his feet to drive the
- 30:41Speaker 1: skateboard down into Judah's back. He had thumbtack sticking out
- 30:45Speaker 1: of his back. He's like a human pincushion. Darby then
- 30:49Speaker 1: turned his attention to Gabe Kid, who was down in
- 30:51Speaker 1: the corner. Here comes John Moxley, Here comes Claudia, Here
- 30:55Speaker 1: comes Marina Shaffir. They stroll out to ringside. The lights
- 30:59Speaker 1: go out up and the H signal hits the ceiling,
- 31:05Speaker 1: and then there was a second H. Then there was
- 31:08Speaker 1: a third AH. Triple H like triple H Mania. It
- 31:16Speaker 1: was a I promise you it was just a unintentional
- 31:19Speaker 1: slip of the tongue. When I was talking about triple
- 31:21Speaker 1: MANI called it a triple H MANI you imagine they
- 31:26Speaker 1: like hacked into the production system. Here we have three hs.
- 31:30Speaker 1: Fucking fucking Lemmy starts playing we had the one H,
- 31:36Speaker 1: only one H, and Hook his his krooner music plays.
- 31:41Speaker 1: I continue to maintain this music is a very poor choice.
- 31:45Speaker 1: It's his choice, apparently, but it's a poor one. He
- 31:49Speaker 1: comes walking out and before he even gets to the ring,
- 31:54Speaker 1: the music stops and it switches over to the ops.
- 31:57Speaker 1: Music and Samoa Joe comes running out. He blows past Hook.
- 32:01Speaker 1: Powerhouse Hobbs comes out, he blows past Hook. There was
- 32:05Speaker 1: no Shebata, and so there's just a giant brawl at ringside.
- 32:09Speaker 1: Willow Nightingale all of a sudden, I know where she
- 32:11Speaker 1: came from. Willow Nightingale is at ringside. She's fighting with
- 32:14Speaker 1: Marina Shafir, the Opster, fighting with the Death Riders. Hook
- 32:17Speaker 1: looked annoid by all this, and so it was just
- 32:20Speaker 1: an all out brawl with all the men and women
- 32:24Speaker 1: at ringside. Gave Kid and Darby. They fought backstage and
- 32:30Speaker 1: Kid was choking him. He was screaming that he wanted
- 32:32Speaker 1: to see him go unconscious. He swung a hammer wildly
- 32:38Speaker 1: like a madman, and he missed. Darby threw some powder
- 32:41Speaker 1: in his eyes, choked him out with I believe it
- 32:44Speaker 1: was a rag filled with ether, and then he put
- 32:47Speaker 1: him in a body bag. It was tied to the
- 32:49Speaker 1: back of a pickup truck. Taz referred to him as
- 32:53Speaker 1: a body bag Jones and body bag Jones got driven
- 32:57Speaker 1: off by Darby Allen as he drag the body bag
- 33:01Speaker 1: behind him. So it was a pretty chaotic start to
- 33:04Speaker 1: the show. If Gabe Kid is going to be sticking
- 33:06Speaker 1: around on a regular basis, and it looks like he
- 33:08Speaker 1: might be. Then it makes even more sense for Eddie
- 33:11Speaker 1: Kingston when he does come back, to make his return
- 33:13Speaker 1: as part of this death Rider's angle, and he can
- 33:16Speaker 1: go after Gabe Kid first because Gabe Kid obviously was
- 33:19Speaker 1: the one he was in the ring with when he
- 33:21Speaker 1: got injured over a year ago. But then it would
- 33:24Speaker 1: lead very nicely into the Eddie and Mock story and
- 33:27Speaker 1: just pursuing that further, and aw seems to be intent
- 33:32Speaker 1: on potentially adding new members and expanding the death Riders.
- 33:37Speaker 1: My goal here as I'm watching this show is to
- 33:40Speaker 1: go the exact opposite way. It's like coming to a
- 33:43Speaker 1: fork in the road. You can go left or you
- 33:45Speaker 1: can go right. Tony Kahn wants to go left. I
- 33:47Speaker 1: want to go right. I want all of you to
- 33:49Speaker 1: join me. Let's go this way, not that way. I
- 33:52Speaker 1: want this group to get smaller and then disintegrate into nothing.
- 33:55Speaker 1: I don't want to add more people to it. So
- 33:57Speaker 1: the quicker we get Eddie Kingston back, maybe he can
- 34:00Speaker 1: help facilitate that. But I do think that's the right
- 34:03Speaker 1: spot for him to be in. We had Mercedes Monette
- 34:07Speaker 1: defending her TBS championship here against Alex Windsor. Windsor was
- 34:12Speaker 1: in control until Mercedes power bombed her on the apron
- 34:15Speaker 1: outside That took us into a picture and picture break.
- 34:19Speaker 1: Later on, Windsor was looking for a sharpshooter. Monet, though
- 34:23Speaker 1: kicked out of it. She around the ropes, runs right
- 34:27Speaker 1: into a blue thunderbomb, though for a near fall. Then
- 34:30Speaker 1: she got the sharpshooter, replied Mercedes grabs the hair though
- 34:34Speaker 1: to escape and applies the statement maker. Windsor picks up
- 34:38Speaker 1: Monette and carries her money, though got a crucifix pin
- 34:40Speaker 1: for a two count. There was a backstabber here by Mercedes.
- 34:44Speaker 1: Windsor counter though with a power bomb Justin. Roberts then
- 34:48Speaker 1: gave us a time call that there were ten minutes
- 34:50Speaker 1: left in the match. Windsor is looking for the sharpshooter again.
- 34:55Speaker 1: Then both women end up rolling out to the floor.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Windsor does not let go of the she's got this
- 35:00Speaker 1: submission hole applied on her on the floor. Eventually, Mercedes,
- 35:06Speaker 1: though was able to get back in the ring by
- 35:07Speaker 1: the nine count. Windsor was waiting for her from the
- 35:11Speaker 1: top Mercedes, though countered with the bank statement. Windsor rolled through.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Mercedes though hit a backstabber which Alex no sold, and
- 35:21Speaker 1: then she blasted Money with a lariat. So both women
- 35:24Speaker 1: now are back to their feet. They're trading forearms. Windsor
- 35:27Speaker 1: hits a made in Japan to count only. Monette hits
- 35:31Speaker 1: Windsor on the top rope, grabs both arms and throws
- 35:34Speaker 1: her from the top. Statement maker is applied again. Windsor
- 35:39Speaker 1: thinks she has the rope brake. Money though, rolls her
- 35:42Speaker 1: back to the center of the ring. There's another try here,
- 35:45Speaker 1: Money though, kicks off the bottom rope, but it allows
- 35:49Speaker 1: Windsor to roll her up for a near fall. There's
- 35:51Speaker 1: another sharpshooter attempt. Money though countered into a roll up
- 35:55Speaker 1: and she got the pin to retain the championship. Big shock,
- 36:00Speaker 1: I know. After the match was over, Monette's talking shit
- 36:04Speaker 1: to Windsor. Windsor's trying to be the bigger person here.
- 36:07Speaker 1: She puts her hand out for a handshake. Mercedes walks
- 36:10Speaker 1: over as if she might shake the hand, but instead
- 36:12Speaker 1: she just flips her the bird and she turns around
- 36:15Speaker 1: to go walk away, and Alex Windsor is like, I
- 36:17Speaker 1: don't fucking think so, So she double legs her, takes
- 36:21Speaker 1: her down to the match. She's gonna put her in
- 36:22Speaker 1: another sharpshooter. Mercedes there reaches up because she had the
- 36:26Speaker 1: belt in her hands, and she just whacks her right
- 36:28Speaker 1: in the head with the belt. So Monette now gets
- 36:31Speaker 1: the statement maker applied, and all of a sudden we
- 36:35Speaker 1: hear music and even I know this music. I know
- 36:39Speaker 1: exactly who this music is for. It is the music
- 36:43Speaker 1: for ReHO. Now Mercedes has the hole applied in a
- 36:49Speaker 1: way where she can look at the aisle and she
- 36:52Speaker 1: is waiting for ReHO to come out. Riho, though, emerges
- 36:56Speaker 1: from the crowd behind her. Mercedes doesn't know. And by
- 37:00Speaker 1: the way, when they hit Riho's music, and Rijo came
- 37:03Speaker 1: out big pop here from the nine hundred people that
- 37:07Speaker 1: were packed into the twenty three hundred arena because this
- 37:10Speaker 1: was the second week in a row that they were
- 37:11Speaker 1: at the old DCW arena. So they pop for Rio.
- 37:17Speaker 1: Rio goes up top and she comes off with a
- 37:20Speaker 1: double stomp that breaks up the statement maker, and then
- 37:23Speaker 1: she sent Monette packing with a hard basement drop kick
- 37:27Speaker 1: that sent her out of the ring. As hard as
- 37:30Speaker 1: one can deliver such a dropkick at ninety eight pounds,
- 37:34Speaker 1: but that's what she did, and she knocked Mercedes outside.
- 37:38Speaker 1: She helped Windsor back to her feet. She grabbed Mercedes
- 37:42Speaker 1: TBS title, she was admiring it and she held it
- 37:46Speaker 1: up and that is how things came to an end.
- 37:49Speaker 1: So that answers the question as far as who's next
- 37:52Speaker 1: from Verseill, because last week I'm looking at both women's
- 37:55Speaker 1: champions and I have no idea. It seemed pretty obvious
- 37:59Speaker 1: that Alex Windsor was going to get another shot, and
- 38:02Speaker 1: then they just went and announced the match for Dynamite tonight.
- 38:06Speaker 1: I thought they were going to save it for All Out.
- 38:09Speaker 1: At that point, I'm like, I don't know who's next,
- 38:12Speaker 1: and I don't know who's next for Tony Storm either.
- 38:14Speaker 1: There was no real clarity last week on the Women's
- 38:16Speaker 1: championship picture. Now we know, and Tony Khan has made
- 38:20Speaker 1: it official. At All Out it will be Mercedes Monette
- 38:25Speaker 1: defending her TBS championship against ReHO. Riho has been out
- 38:33Speaker 1: since July of twenty twenty four. She broke her wrist.
- 38:38Speaker 1: That was in her collision debut against Lady Frost. Remember
- 38:41Speaker 1: she came off the top rope. It's like a diving
- 38:44Speaker 1: elbow to the floor outside. She broke her wrist. She
- 38:48Speaker 1: finished the match. She wrestled a few more minutes with
- 38:52Speaker 1: a broken wrist and won. She won the match. That
- 38:58Speaker 1: don't work for ReHO, brother, I'm going over, and then
- 39:02Speaker 1: we never saw her again. So it's been well over
- 39:05Speaker 1: a year. She comes back and she's automatically in a
- 39:10Speaker 1: TVs Championship match against Mercedes, just like that. Didn't even
- 39:17Speaker 1: have to win a match. That's how cool Riho is.
- 39:19Speaker 1: She just shows up and Tony Kahan or just puts
- 39:22Speaker 1: the graphic up. Within five minutes, there it is. It's official.
- 39:27Speaker 1: So that is the TVs Championship match for all Out.
- 39:31Speaker 1: I certainly was not expecting Riho to be in this spot. Look,
- 39:39Speaker 1: Riho is. The fans love Rio every time she comes out,
- 39:43Speaker 1: even before she got hurt, like they do cheer for her.
- 39:47Speaker 1: They like her, and they find her. I guess they
- 39:50Speaker 1: find her fun to watch, or they just think, oh
- 39:52Speaker 1: she's so sweet, she's so tiny. They like Riho. Okay,
- 39:56Speaker 1: so I acknowledge that the fans are big porters of hers.
- 40:01Speaker 1: What ReHO is in this situation, is a warm body
- 40:06Speaker 1: to put in there to lose to Mercedes because we
- 40:08Speaker 1: are oh so close to her becoming the longest reigning
- 40:12Speaker 1: TBS champion of all time. ReHO is not going to
- 40:16Speaker 1: interrupt that. I don't know why they couldn't just extend
- 40:20Speaker 1: the Alex Windsor thing until all out, because Alex Windsor,
- 40:23Speaker 1: she's still relatively new. They've put some shine on her.
- 40:28Speaker 1: She was in the four way at Forbidden Door, she
- 40:31Speaker 1: didn't take the losing fall, and then they tease that
- 40:35Speaker 1: they were going to continue with this this feud between
- 40:37Speaker 1: her and Mercedes. I'm like, okay, well, that seems like
- 40:39Speaker 1: it's going to be the all out match that'll bridge
- 40:42Speaker 1: the gap between now and October, because we still have
- 40:46Speaker 1: some time between now and then. And then Justin Roberts
- 40:51Speaker 1: gave the ten minute time call, and I'm like, okay,
- 40:54Speaker 1: I see what they're doing here. They're going to go
- 40:56Speaker 1: to a time limit draw, no winner. You run it
- 40:59Speaker 1: back at all maybe it all out. It's no time limit, right,
- 41:03Speaker 1: but you run the match back. But then Mercedes rolled
- 41:06Speaker 1: her up and beat her, and it was actually more
- 41:08Speaker 1: like she survived Windsor. It wasn't like a dominant win.
- 41:12Speaker 1: That's how Mercedes has won most of her matches. Though,
- 41:14Speaker 1: that's how she won it Forbidden Door. It was on
- 41:16Speaker 1: some kind of roll up or wacky pinning combination. She
- 41:20Speaker 1: just gets by, you know, by the skin of her teeth.
- 41:23Speaker 1: But that's how she's been retaining her championship for the
- 41:25Speaker 1: most part. I don't understand why they couldn't have just
- 41:28Speaker 1: extended the Alex windsor stuff. At least there was a
- 41:30Speaker 1: story there and extend that into the pay per view. Instead,
- 41:35Speaker 1: it's like we blew it off on TV for really
- 41:37Speaker 1: no good reason to bring back Riho, who hasn't been
- 41:41Speaker 1: around in fifteen months or fourteen months, whatever it's been,
- 41:46Speaker 1: and just like that, like boom, she's in a TBS
- 41:48Speaker 1: title match. Not what I would have done, but that's
- 41:54Speaker 1: how Tony Kahn wanted to reintroduce Rijo. So good. She'll
- 41:58Speaker 1: go in there, she'll lose, She'll be the next one
- 41:59Speaker 1: to lose Mercedes, and then the question becomes who's next.
- 42:03Speaker 1: After that, it'll be on to the next loser. And
- 42:06Speaker 1: I guess that's how this is gonna work. Riho is
- 42:10Speaker 1: like a mini EO Sky. She is very tiny. She's
- 42:14Speaker 1: about ninety eight pounds. But she's been there since day one.
- 42:19Speaker 1: Think about that, right, wasn't she the first champion? I
- 42:22Speaker 1: believe she was. I believe Rejo was the first AW
- 42:25Speaker 1: women's champion, So she's been there since day one. She's
- 42:29Speaker 1: an AW original. But you know, silly me, I thought
- 42:34Speaker 1: that whether you were an AW original or not. You know,
- 42:37Speaker 1: for a guy who used to run rankings on his
- 42:39Speaker 1: shows and doesn't anymore, but you would think that he
- 42:41Speaker 1: would at least be sensitive to bringing her back and
- 42:45Speaker 1: maybe letting her rack up some wins before she challenges
- 42:49Speaker 1: for the TBS title. But evidently he feels differently now.
- 42:54Speaker 1: Renee was backstage with Samoa, Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs asking
- 42:59Speaker 1: them where Hooks stay with the ops, and Joe said,
- 43:02Speaker 1: you know, I'd like to know that too, and Hook
- 43:04Speaker 1: walked in at that moment said that he didn't need
- 43:07Speaker 1: either one of them fighting for him. He'll fight his
- 43:10Speaker 1: own battles. Hook said that you replaced me before my
- 43:14Speaker 1: body was even cold, and Hobbs took exception to this
- 43:18Speaker 1: and said, look, I've always had your back, and so
- 43:21Speaker 1: Joe calms him down and interjects said, you know what
- 43:25Speaker 1: Hook is right. We didn't wait for the body to
- 43:29Speaker 1: be cold because we saw an opportunity. That's why we're
- 43:32Speaker 1: the ops, ops being the key word. We saw an opportunity,
- 43:39Speaker 1: we took it, and we won the trios titles. He said, look,
- 43:43Speaker 1: we didn't come out here tonight to save you. I
- 43:46Speaker 1: don't know. I don't even know what that meant. It's
- 43:48Speaker 1: not like Hook needed saving. Hook literally just walked out.
- 43:50Speaker 1: The fuck doesn't need saving from. But Joe said, we
- 43:53Speaker 1: didn't come out to save you. We have business of
- 43:55Speaker 1: our own to handle. Hook has every right to be upset.
- 44:00Speaker 1: Joe says he made the call, and Hook needs to
- 44:03Speaker 1: realize that at some point he's going to need their help,
- 44:06Speaker 1: whether he wants it or not. He's going to need
- 44:08Speaker 1: their help and they will still have his back whether
- 44:12Speaker 1: he wants to accept it or not. And Hook looked
- 44:16Speaker 1: very frustrated by what he was just told and he
- 44:18Speaker 1: walked off. I'm glad they addressed this. It was very
- 44:22Speaker 1: weird the way that they brought him back last week,
- 44:24Speaker 1: and they just brought him back to attack Wheeler Yudah
- 44:27Speaker 1: and then leave because he came back at anarchy in
- 44:31Speaker 1: the arena. Very briefly, remember he actually assisted the ops
- 44:35Speaker 1: and all the babyfaces, but it looked like he wasn't
- 44:38Speaker 1: really happy with them. And then he turned and he
- 44:40Speaker 1: left because Joe was like all excited to see him,
- 44:42Speaker 1: welcome back. And then Hook just turned around and left.
- 44:45Speaker 1: And it's like, Okay, where's this story going to go?
- 44:47Speaker 1: That was in May. That was in May, So here
- 44:52Speaker 1: we are in September. Now, maybe now we can pick
- 44:56Speaker 1: up with this story. And so at the very least
- 44:59Speaker 1: you have to I have a segment, which is what
- 45:03Speaker 1: we had here, although this looks like it's gonna go
- 45:05Speaker 1: beyond just this one segment, but if nothing else, you
- 45:08Speaker 1: needed to do a segment like this to at least
- 45:11Speaker 1: explain in very basic terms what the issues are there
- 45:16Speaker 1: or what his standing is with this group, even if
- 45:20Speaker 1: it's just Hook going you know what, guys, I get it.
- 45:23Speaker 1: You did what you had to do. But I got
- 45:25Speaker 1: to fight my own battles and stand on my own
- 45:27Speaker 1: two feet. And Joe is like, I respect that, and
- 45:30Speaker 1: they fist bump and they go their separate ways. It
- 45:32Speaker 1: could have been as simple as that, but just don't
- 45:33Speaker 1: ignore the story, right, it has to be addressed. So
- 45:36Speaker 1: I was happy that they addressed it here, and it
- 45:39Speaker 1: was a very basic explanation, but what they said was
- 45:43Speaker 1: perfectly sensible that Hook would be upset, like I got
- 45:48Speaker 1: hurt and before the body was cold, you guys went
- 45:52Speaker 1: and replaced me with somebody else and won the titles
- 45:54Speaker 1: that I should have been holding with you. So, yeah,
- 45:57Speaker 1: that's gonna bother him. It's understandable, and we'll see how
- 46:02Speaker 1: Hook reacts to the situation when eventually he needs their
- 46:05Speaker 1: help and they come out to help them. Is he
- 46:07Speaker 1: going to attack them? Is he going to accept their help?
- 46:11Speaker 1: I don't know. But at least they're telling that story
- 46:13Speaker 1: and they're not just dropping it and moving on, which
- 46:16Speaker 1: they have done with stories before. At least they're not
- 46:19Speaker 1: doing that here. Ricochet was backstage with the Gates of Agony.
- 46:26Speaker 1: He said that his problems with the Hurt Syndicate predate
- 46:28Speaker 1: well before aw His issue is for them, it's just
- 46:33Speaker 1: business for the Hurt Syndicate, that is for them, it's personal.
- 46:38Speaker 1: The Hurt Syndicate have relied on their past accomplishments. And
- 46:41Speaker 1: as soon as he said that total Leona just exploded him, like,
- 46:44Speaker 1: oh my god, he speaks. He exploded, saying that that's
- 46:49Speaker 1: all they have left. Referring to their past accomplishments, he
- 46:53Speaker 1: said Brodido may have won the tag team titles, but
- 46:55Speaker 1: they were the ones who ended the Hurt Syndicate's rain
- 46:59Speaker 1: and their legacies. Next, Ricochet said that unlike the Hurt Syndicate,
- 47:02Speaker 1: they're not washed up. Their future is ahead of them,
- 47:06Speaker 1: and he wasn't challenging them to a match. He was
- 47:08Speaker 1: demanding a match with them in Toronto at all Out.
- 47:14Speaker 1: At this point, Mark Briscoe made his way out to
- 47:16Speaker 1: the ring. He spoke about how he and his brother
- 47:20Speaker 1: fell in love with pro wrestling. Inside this arena, brisco
- 47:25Speaker 1: turned his attention to Don Callus and he remembered Callous
- 47:28Speaker 1: saying that Briscoe had to beat one of the members
- 47:30Speaker 1: of his family in order to get a shot at
- 47:32Speaker 1: the TNT Championship and Kyle Fletcher. So he called for
- 47:36Speaker 1: Callous to come out and reveal his opponent. Who am
- 47:38Speaker 1: I going to have to beat up? Don Callus walks out,
- 47:42Speaker 1: He's got Rocky Romero with him, He's got Lance Archer
- 47:46Speaker 1: with him. I guess that's supposed to be Those are
- 47:51Speaker 1: his heavies. Those are the guys that are going to
- 47:53Speaker 1: watch his back and make sure nobody puts their hands
- 47:56Speaker 1: on him. Have you seen this man, by the way,
- 47:59Speaker 1: I didn't see Loow out there. I don't know. Maybe
- 48:02Speaker 1: he was in the back, Maybe he had food poisoning,
- 48:04Speaker 1: maybe he was in the back taking a shit. He
- 48:08Speaker 1: certainly wasn't on this show tonight we had Rocky Romero though,
- 48:13Speaker 1: and Lance Archer. So brisco is very impatient to get
- 48:20Speaker 1: his answer, Callus said, but he's a little busy getting
- 48:24Speaker 1: Kyle Fletcher and Josh Alexander ready for the main event tonight.
- 48:28Speaker 1: Callous said, Briscoe's natur will take place this Saturday on
- 48:32Speaker 1: Collision and it will be against the Alpha Kenoski. Takeshta.
- 48:37Speaker 1: Takeshta came out, had a very brief stare down. He
- 48:41Speaker 1: got into the ring and had a brief stare down
- 48:42Speaker 1: in the ring with Mark brisco No physicality there. The
- 48:47Speaker 1: best line in this was Tony Schavanni. Tony Shavanni was
- 48:50Speaker 1: commenting on how lean he looks. My goodness, look at
- 48:53Speaker 1: how Lean Takeshta looks. And then Taz is like, dude,
- 48:56Speaker 1: he's he's wearing a shirt, He's wearing a dress shirt.
- 48:59Speaker 1: He's like all dressed up and Tony's like, yeah, but
- 49:02Speaker 1: you know he uh, he just totally busted his balls.
- 49:06Speaker 1: I thought the same thing. I'm like, what are you
- 49:08Speaker 1: talking about? Man? So I fucking dressed up. So Callous
- 49:13Speaker 1: went to go leave with the family. Brisco said he'll
- 49:16Speaker 1: see Takashta on Saturday on Collision, but he wants to
- 49:19Speaker 1: fight right now, and Rocky Romero started to take his
- 49:24Speaker 1: jacket off, and Callous said that he would rather go
- 49:29Speaker 1: with Lance Archer instead, so he went. He went with
- 49:32Speaker 1: Lance Archer. Now, imagine for a moment, just to magic,
- 49:38Speaker 1: if Tony Kahan had even made a modest attempt at
- 49:42Speaker 1: feeding some wins to Lance Archer against some credible opponents.
- 49:47Speaker 1: I'm not even counting the Ring of Honor matches because
- 49:50Speaker 1: he just gets fed jobber after jobber and Ring of
- 49:52Speaker 1: Honor and nobody's watching really or paying attention to it,
- 49:56Speaker 1: So I don't count that. If he's going to be
- 49:58Speaker 1: on this show, then this is the roster that we're
- 50:00Speaker 1: focusing on here, not Ring of Honor. And if he
- 50:02Speaker 1: had even taken a little bit of time to try
- 50:05Speaker 1: to give this man a shred of credibility outside of
- 50:08Speaker 1: the fact that he's a big scary looking guy that
- 50:10Speaker 1: will only take you so far. Yeah, we talk about
- 50:13Speaker 1: aw originals and people that have been there for years
- 50:15Speaker 1: and years. I don't remember if Lance Archer was there
- 50:18Speaker 1: from day one, but if not, he was pretty close.
- 50:21Speaker 1: He was there day two. He's been there for a
- 50:23Speaker 1: long time and there over the years were some start
- 50:26Speaker 1: and stop pushes with him, but for the most part,
- 50:29Speaker 1: Tony con has never pushed him in any serious, meaningful way.
- 50:33Speaker 1: So when he comes out there, and as soon as
- 50:35Speaker 1: they made the match, Mark Briscoe against Lance Archer like
- 50:39Speaker 1: automatic l like you know, before the bell even rings,
- 50:43Speaker 1: you know exactly how this match is going to go.
- 50:46Speaker 1: And that is due in large part to the way
- 50:49Speaker 1: that this man has been booked over the years. So,
- 50:51Speaker 1: I mean, he's supposed to be this scary dude. Oh
- 50:54Speaker 1: my god, this is gonna be a tough challenge for
- 50:57Speaker 1: Mark Briscoe. It's like, well, yeah, it might be for
- 50:59Speaker 1: two seconds, but we all know how this is going
- 51:01Speaker 1: to end. So brisco immediately fought free from a choke
- 51:05Speaker 1: slam sent Archer to the outside. He hit a baseball slide.
- 51:08Speaker 1: Brisco charged again, but he jumped right into the clutches
- 51:12Speaker 1: of Archer, who hit a choke slam on the apron
- 51:15Speaker 1: Rocky Romero distracted the referee. His Archer turned the ring
- 51:19Speaker 1: steps on their side and then he choked slamb brisco
- 51:22Speaker 1: onto the steps as things went to commercial. Back from
- 51:28Speaker 1: the break, Briscoe caught Archer with a clothes line over
- 51:30Speaker 1: the top and a sumrsault Suiceeda followed back inside. Archer
- 51:34Speaker 1: backdropped out of a jade driller before flattening brisco with
- 51:38Speaker 1: another choke slam, only for two. Archer wanted to blackout
- 51:42Speaker 1: brisco though fought free into a shotgun dropkick. Both men
- 51:46Speaker 1: were down. Briscoe went up top only to get cut
- 51:49Speaker 1: off by Archer, who wanted an avalanche choke slam. Brisco
- 51:53Speaker 1: though bit his way free and this I don't know
- 51:59Speaker 1: what happened here. It was very awkward. He hit a
- 52:02Speaker 1: very awkward, nasty looking sunset bomb where Archer looked like
- 52:08Speaker 1: he landed hard on his shoulder. It it looked weird,
- 52:12Speaker 1: and then the froggy bow followed and Briscoe picked up
- 52:15Speaker 1: the wind. So, I mean, look, the match for what
- 52:17Speaker 1: it was supposed to be. The match was solid enough,
- 52:21Speaker 1: but it was a momentum win for Briscoe because he
- 52:25Speaker 1: just made the match with Takeshta for Saturday. He wasn't
- 52:28Speaker 1: losing to Lance Archer. It was the callous family way
- 52:31Speaker 1: of trying to soften this man up, and it didn't work.
- 52:36Speaker 1: So now Mark Briscoe has a win under his belt
- 52:38Speaker 1: and he gets to go in there with the Alpha
- 52:40Speaker 1: on Saturday. And here's the question. Now they have been
- 52:46Speaker 1: building this up to a potential TNT championship match between
- 52:50Speaker 1: Mark Briscoe and Kyle Fletcher, and now Don Kallis is
- 52:54Speaker 1: throwing these roadblocks in his way. Well, you have to
- 52:56Speaker 1: beat this guy. You have to beat that guy if
- 52:58Speaker 1: you want to get a shot at the title. So
- 53:01Speaker 1: he beat Lance Archer right as most people did. He's
- 53:05Speaker 1: going in there against Takeshna on Saturday. And does he
- 53:09Speaker 1: beat Takeshta and then get a TNT title match, Because
- 53:12Speaker 1: that's not how this feels to me. This feels like
- 53:15Speaker 1: they're just trying to throw us off here because mjf
- 53:19Speaker 1: is going to get involved, not in an eventual championship match,
- 53:23Speaker 1: but he is likely going to get involved in this
- 53:26Speaker 1: match on Saturday where it's brisco against Takeshta, and he
- 53:31Speaker 1: will never even get the TNT title match against Kyle Fletcher.
- 53:35Speaker 1: It feels to me like it was never even designed
- 53:38Speaker 1: to get him to a championship match. MJF will fuck
- 53:42Speaker 1: him over this weekend, and then that will take us
- 53:45Speaker 1: into MJF and Mark Briscoe, with brisco never even getting
- 53:49Speaker 1: a hold of Kyle Fletcher. Because you watch the end
- 53:52Speaker 1: of that show tonight, Kyle Fletcher's got bigger fish to
- 53:55Speaker 1: fry here. He's got more important names to be working
- 53:58Speaker 1: with than Mark Briscoe. So I don't even think we're
- 54:01Speaker 1: getting a TNT title match at all. I also don't
- 54:04Speaker 1: really want to see Takesha losing to Mark Briscoe. I'm
- 54:08Speaker 1: hoping that MJF is there on Saturday and screws Briscoe
- 54:12Speaker 1: out of a win and then we can move on
- 54:15Speaker 1: from this. Earlier today, timeless Tony Storm was there in
- 54:20Speaker 1: an empty twenty three hundred arena, saying she wants the
- 54:25Speaker 1: attention of the Philadelphia Freaks. Insanity is relative, so she
- 54:29Speaker 1: promises to be the most batshit bitch to piss in
- 54:34Speaker 1: this sink. What a visual Storm is a woman in
- 54:38Speaker 1: search of her murder, a character in search of a plot.
- 54:43Speaker 1: No belt collector or Forever Champion could take the AW
- 54:46Speaker 1: Women's title from her. So she is begging for any
- 54:49Speaker 1: woman to play the role in the greatest show on Earth.
- 54:52Speaker 1: Not to worry. God doesn't judge. That's my job. I
- 54:57Speaker 1: have no idea who this person is going to be.
- 55:01Speaker 1: They've thrown it open. It could be anybody. You know.
- 55:03Speaker 1: When I think of the AW Women's roster, all the
- 55:05Speaker 1: key players are already accounted for, or she's already beaten them.
- 55:10Speaker 1: Athena had her shot right, didn't work. Athena just got
- 55:16Speaker 1: bounced at forbidden Door. They're not going back to that.
- 55:19Speaker 1: I wouldn't think. Yeah, you think about the triangle of Madness,
- 55:24Speaker 1: and you know Tekla, and then you've got Megan Bain,
- 55:27Speaker 1: been there, done that. She already beat Megan Bain twice,
- 55:32Speaker 1: wasn't it twice or maybe once? I don't remember now,
- 55:34Speaker 1: but so that's been done. Chris Statlander's got her thing
- 55:38Speaker 1: going on Willow. No indication of Willow Nightingale. Jamie Hayter
- 55:45Speaker 1: just came back. She's involved with Tecla. Mercedes is doing
- 55:48Speaker 1: her thing with Riho. So I shift my attention now
- 55:54Speaker 1: to potential new signings, and I do wonder because it's
- 55:57Speaker 1: about that time that they should be available. There are
- 56:00Speaker 1: two women in particular who were let go by WWE
- 56:04Speaker 1: earlier this year. One of them is Dakota Kai. Could
- 56:08Speaker 1: we be seeing a Dakota Kai debut in AW where
- 56:12Speaker 1: she steps up and challenges Tony Storm for the championship.
- 56:16Speaker 1: You could say the same thing for Shana Basler. Shana
- 56:20Speaker 1: Basler has a friend already working in AW and Marina
- 56:23Speaker 1: Shaffir is she on her way in? I don't think,
- 56:26Speaker 1: by the way, either one of these women or the answer.
- 56:28Speaker 1: I'm just throwing these names out there because I think
- 56:30Speaker 1: it's a possibility. I think this, I think would be
- 56:34Speaker 1: very stupid. This is your Women's World champion. You have
- 56:38Speaker 1: set up a TBS title match already for this pay
- 56:42Speaker 1: per view with a woman who just came back, has
- 56:47Speaker 1: not wrestled a match since July of twenty twenty four.
- 56:50Speaker 1: She's already vaulted into a TBS championship match. I think
- 56:54Speaker 1: the person who should be challenging Tony Storm should at
- 56:56Speaker 1: least have some you know, as far as get a
- 57:00Speaker 1: championship match, should have some legitimate reason for doing so.
- 57:05Speaker 1: If they just turn it into an open challenge where
- 57:07Speaker 1: anybody can step up. Well, that just tells me that
- 57:10Speaker 1: they're just shit out of ideas and they have no
- 57:12Speaker 1: idea who to put in the ring with this woman,
- 57:15Speaker 1: or maybe they should have had somebody else beat her
- 57:17Speaker 1: for the belt before now, And now they're kind of like, well,
- 57:21Speaker 1: we don't really have any other great ideas for Toronto,
- 57:25Speaker 1: so we'll kind of throw it open because I don't
- 57:27Speaker 1: know who else it would be. Maybe there's somebody I'm
- 57:29Speaker 1: not thinking of. Don't know who that person would be,
- 57:34Speaker 1: but I feel like now we're at that point with
- 57:36Speaker 1: Tony is as great as she is, She's beaten all
- 57:40Speaker 1: the big names. She beat Mercedes, only woman to beat Mercedes,
- 57:46Speaker 1: she beat Athena. Who's left. Jamie's not ready. I'm looking
- 57:53Speaker 1: longer term, if she's still the champion. I'd love for
- 57:55Speaker 1: it to be Jamie. Jamie's not ready. What are you
- 57:59Speaker 1: kidding me? Jamie is only marginally being treated better than
- 58:03Speaker 1: Wardlow is right now. At least she was going back
- 58:06Speaker 1: and forth I think on collision with Techla. At least
- 58:08Speaker 1: she's doing something. Wardlow's not doing anything. He's sitting in
- 58:11Speaker 1: the corner room my fucking screen right now, there just
- 58:15Speaker 1: doesn't seem to be a great option. Today's episode is
- 58:18Speaker 1: sponsored by Hymns. It's an experience a lot of men
- 58:21Speaker 1: are terrified of. They look in the mirror one day
- 58:24Speaker 1: and they notice their hair is starting to thin. It
- 58:27Speaker 1: doesn't happen at the same age for everyone. For some
- 58:29Speaker 1: it happens earlier than others. But maybe it runs in
- 58:31Speaker 1: your family. Maybe it's a hereditary thing. There are lots
- 58:34Speaker 1: of reasons that it happens. But you see it and
- 58:37Speaker 1: you think, well, that's it. My life is over. It's
- 58:40Speaker 1: baseball hats for me from now on. Seriously, do you
- 58:44Speaker 1: know how many men are walking around right now with
- 58:46Speaker 1: a Mets hat on their head who probably couldn't even
- 58:48Speaker 1: name three players on the entire team. They just need
- 58:50Speaker 1: an excuse to cover up on top. But guys, you
- 58:53Speaker 1: don't need to live your life that way. It happens
- 58:56Speaker 1: way more than you think, and there is a way
- 58:58Speaker 1: to reverse the problem. It really works with Hymns. You

- 1:00:21Speaker 1: safety information. Rene interviewed Harley Cameron. It's not going to
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: be her either. Harley Cameron and Chris Statlander in the back.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: Cameron said that she and Statlander are undefeated as a team.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: She said that they are headed straight to the top.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: They're coming for Brodido. So Statlander calmed her down, talked
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: about facing the Triangle of Madness, not to Brodido. Wheeler
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: you to showed up. He's getting way too many segments
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: on these shows. Wheeler you to showed up. You to
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: told Statlander that the Death Writers have her back because
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: Moxley in the past has tried, you know, giving her
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: some advice. It's almost like he's trying to maybe recruit
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: her into the Death Riders. So then Marina Shaffir entered
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: the picture and she stared at Statlander intently. Statlander stared
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: back at her, and Statlander said that she and you
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: could tell their friend that they got his message. You
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: could tell how tense the stare down was getting with
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: Shaffir at Statlander, and so he said, I'm gonna go
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: wrestle now, and he pulled Shaffir away with him. So
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: that makes two people that the Death Riders appear to
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: be trying to recruit John Boxley, by the way, is
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: wrestling Daniel Garcia again on Collision this weekend, so we'll
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: get more of that story then. But it looks like
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: they're trying to recruit these two people. This is a terrible,
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: terrible thing. No new members, less members, no new members.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: We're going the wrong way here. We had Brodie King
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: and Ben in their first defense of the aw tag
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: team titles against of course, the Death Riders. It was
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: Claudio Casignoli and Wheeler Dah another Wheeler Udah set. This
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: was the third Wheeler Uda segment on this show. Early
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: in the match, Bandido started doing the macarena. I don't
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: know where that came from, but he was doing the macarena.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: Brody King politely declined to do it, which is too
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: bad because that would have been amazing. Bandido connected with
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: an impressive stalling vertical supplex on Claudio before going up
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: top for a dive, only to be caught with a
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: tilta world backbreaker. Claudio launched Bandido to the floor and
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: then Da pounced on him. As things went to commercial,
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: Shaffir grabbed Bandido's leg from the floor, which led to
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: the challengers taking control. Shaffir stood on the apron distracted
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: the referee while John Moxley came out and he ran
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: Brody King into the ring post. Claud toss Youdah onto Bandido,
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: which led to a good near fall. Claudio performed the
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: giant swing on Bandido, who was still swinging when dah
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: drop kicked him. Moxley approached Brody while the referee was
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: distracted by Claudio, and Darby Allen showed up. Darby Allen
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: attacked Moxley. Claudio went to ringside, he got taken out
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: by Brody King with a roundhouse forearm. Youdah ate one
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: as well, and he's in the ring and he's in
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: perfect position for Bandido to hit the twenty one plex,
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: and he takes down Wheeleryda and he covers him and
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: he gets the pin to retain the titles for his team.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: A lot of outside interference in this match. It did
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: not mar the match from being good. It was a
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: good match. Bandido is awesome. And I don't know how
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: many of you, probably very few of you, so understandable,
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: but I don't know how many of you had the
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: chance to watch part of that ring of Honor pay
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: per view last Friday. I wrapped up my SmackDown review
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: early because I was able to watch SmackDown earlier and
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: it just, I mean, SmackDown sucks. At least it has
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: it has up until this point. I'm actually looking forward
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: to SmackDown this week, but for the most part, SmackDown sucks.
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: So I wrapped that up pretty quickly. And I also
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: realized that there were some streaming issues with the Ring
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: of Honor pay per view, and Tony Kah made the
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: decision that he was going to put the remainder of
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: the show for free up on YouTube, and I said, oh,
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: you know what's that's kind of cool and it's smart.
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: It's a smart thing to do. You may reel in
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: some new fans, and I was one of them because
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: I'm tuning into the show and I'm watching Paul Walter
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: Hauser and QT Marshall in a twenty minute hardcore match,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: which was quite something, and I'm like, well, am I
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: regretting my decision now? And honestly, for the stipulation those
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: two were given, they made the most of it. It
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: was fun for what it was. In the old ECW arena,
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: you gotta have at least one garbage match on that show, right,
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: But then that led right into Bendido and Hetchisaro for
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: the Ring of Honor World Championship, and I watched that
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: entire match. Now, they did not need to go thirty
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: six minutes, especially when they weren't even the main event.
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: They saved Athena for the main event. They were second
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: to last. They won almost forty minutes. That's ridiculous, but
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: had an excellent match. Like those two guys, they threw
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: everything at each other. So if you just want a
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: balls to the wall fucking wrestling match in front of
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: a hot crowd, that ate up every single thing these
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: guys did. And you want to see Bendido at his
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: best because he's a lot of fun to watch, and
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: not taking anything away from Hetcha Saro in that match,
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: but I'm just saying it was an excellent match that
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: those two had. Darby Allen, he continues to terrorize the
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: Death Riders as he attempts to get that match with
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: John Moxley, which he's still waiting for, but he's going
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: to keep being a thorn in their side until he
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: gets what he wants. Renee spoke with the aw Unified
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: Champion Kazuchka Okada in the parking garage. I don't know why,
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: but that's where they were. She mentioned the recent tension
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: between Okada and Takeshta. Okata said, Takeshta calls himself the alpha,
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: but everyone knows Okada is the top dog in the
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: don Kallis family. Bitch. I mean, it's not really an
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: Okada promo, I guess unless he throws that in there
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: in the end. You can't really get any more direct
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: than that. It was simple, it was quick, and that
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: was the end of that. After a break, Renee was
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: with Bobby Lashley's Shelton Benjamin and MVP. They were outside
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: the venue. Asked if they accepted Ricoshet's challenge to a
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: trios match it all out. MVP said that Ricochet has
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: become a whiny joke. He wants to know what happened
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: to Ricky. He used to be fantastic wrestler, but now
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: he's nothing but a punchline. And speaking of punchline, he
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: saw Ricky saying that they should respect them wherever they go.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: They are given a wide berth, they command respect. They
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: accept Ricochet's challenge, and MVP says that he looks forward
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: to lacing up his boots and punching Ricochet in his disrespectful,
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: bitch made mouth. So that match is now official for
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: the pay per view, it will be a trio's match.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: Adam Copeland made his way out to the ring for
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: what was supposed to be a promo segment with him
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: and Christian Cage, but he got attacked by FTR in
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: the ring before Christian could even make his entrance. They
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: put the boots to Copeland. As Cage finally hit the
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: ring to even the playing field, security rushed out to
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: separate all four men, but they got beat up as
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: a result. Dax Horwood he got busted open by Christian
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: during the brawl. It's there was a huge group of
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: what we were told were Ring of Honor wrestlers that
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: got sent out by Tony Kahn to try to finally
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: get these guys separated. I noticed Jordan Olive was out there.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: He was the one who ate the spike pileot driver
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: from FTR. Adam Priest was another one and he got
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: pie faced by Dax. So Priest started firing shots right
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: back at him and the crowd was chanting his name.
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: Ex Caliber brought up the fact that FTR just wrestled
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: Priest and JD. Drake on Collision last week. After a
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: commercial break, FTR was backstage with Stokely. Hathaway, who did
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: the talking for them, said that next time Copeland or
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: Cage put their hands on Stokely, it'll be a reckoning.
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: Harwood starts screaming at Adam Priest off screen, so he
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: walks over and apologizes, Oh, you know, I'm sorry, I
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: got all fired up out there. Cash Wheeler wasn't having
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: any of it. He bad mouthed him and said, who
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: are you. You're a nobody. You had one match on
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: TV and you think you were somebody. Wheeler told Priest
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: to get his gear and find a partner, and this
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: Saturday on Collision they will make him somebody. A little
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: odd shifting the focus here to someone that has absolutely
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: nothing to do with this feud against Cope and Christian.
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: In fact, that someone who, to my knowledge, not only
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: has he only had one match on AW television, I
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: don't believe he signed to a contract like this kid
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: came out of nowhere. So like they're shifting the story
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: over to him when the focus should be squarely on
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: FTR and Copeland and Christian. Now we have Adam Priest.
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: They're trying to give him some rub. It's like the
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: you know, I mean, they've done this before where they'll
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: they'll take somebody young or new and then they'll give
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: him a push for a few weeks and then you know,
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: they kind of blend in with everybody else. But I'm
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: not even sure he has a contract with them, so
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: I don't know. I find that to be a little
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: strange here. Otherwise a pretty standard pull apart segment. We
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: had chaos at the beginning of the show, so I mean,
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: there really wasn't anything terribly different about what they did
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: here outside of DA's, you know, getting some blood on
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: his head. The main event of the show was a
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: Tony Kahan special, his favorite match. It was an all
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: star eight man tag team match the aw World Champion
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: Hangman Adam Page teaming with Kenny Omega and Jet Speed Speedball,
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight to take on the TNT
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: champion Kyle Fletcher, Josh Alexander and the Young Bucks. For
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: the Bucks entrance, they had their regular music the lower third, though,
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: where their name usually would be just said these guys again.
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: Then they showed footage from earlier today of them selling
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: signed eight y tens for fans for twenty bucks. It's terrible.
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: How how you get to treat these guys like that.
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: It's terrible. So the Babyfaces cleared the ring early and
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: then they dove out onto the heels. Later in the match,
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: Alexander set up for a move while he and Speedball
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: were on the barricade. Kevin Knight, though, took out Alexander
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: with a dive from the top rope. Nick Jackson and
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: Fletcher they teamed up for a tk driver on Kevin
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: Knight in the ring, and then Nick immediately hit the
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: same move with his brother on the apron or from
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: the apron to the floor on Speedball, and that took
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: us into one final commercial break. Late in the match,
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: the Bucks ended up in the ring with Omega and
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: Hangman held his hand out. Then Omega tagged him in
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: and we got flashbacks here of Revolution twenty twenty, still
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: one of the greatest matches in AW history. So the
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: former Elite members all traded shots. We were in overtime
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: here Alexander held Knight up in the pile driver position.
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: Nick spiked Kevin Knight. Fletcher followed up with a brainbuster
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: and then pinned Kevin Knight to win it for the Heels.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: After the match was over, Lance Archer and Rocky Romero
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: they helped the Heels. Fletcher hit Omega with a chair
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: to the gut, which the production crew mostly missed. Fletcher
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: rolled Omega to the apron and then supplexed him through.
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: I thought maybe it was a brainbuster, but you know,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: I watched it back. It was a supplex off. The
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: apron threw a table that was set up on the floor.
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: Fletcher came up bleeding from the back of his shoulder,
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: so he sliced himself up pretty good. There. As one
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: of the EMTs tended to Omega, Fletcher grabbed the EMT
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: had like a headset mike, and he grabbed the EMT's
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: mic and he said, oh, he's dead. He's dead, and
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: the EMT placed a neck brace on Omega. Fletcher was
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: talking shit to Hangman who was down laying in the ring.
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: He was over by the apron and that is how
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: they went off the air. Oh my god, they killed
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: Kenny again. Yes, Kenny Omega has once again, at least
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: for a few weeks. Been killed off here on this show.
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: You know, I said it before. Kenny Omega is in
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: that respect, he is very much like the Roman Reigns
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: here for them. He will come back, he'll do some
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: stuff for a little bit, and then they'll write him
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: off pretty quickly thereafter with some sort of injury angle.
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: They just did it with Roman Reigns actually the other week,
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: and here we go again with Kenny Omega being written
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: off in an injury angle here on TV. I remember
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: when the Elite were with Okada and Jack Perry and
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: Kenny Omega came back on TV, right. He was all
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: dressed up and they beat him up and they put
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: him on a stretcher and they bloodied him up. Like
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: we've seen this song and dance before. Lots of action
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: in the match. I mean, it's impossible to go through
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: all of it, but you know the usual party match
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: that you get here with these all star ape Man
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: tag matches. It's just one big spot after another after
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: another after another. As those types of matches go, which
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: again we get them every single week, but as those
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: types of matches go, this one was good. They put
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: a ton of heat on Kyle Fletcher there at the
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: very end, and they set up not one but two
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: future opponents for him and put them in whatever order
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: you want to put them in. I'm of the belief
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: in watching this that they're setting up for Hangman and
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: Fletcher in Toronto. It's also possible they're setting up for
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: Fletcher and Omega and Kenny will be back in the
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: next few weeks and they do that match. But then
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: who does Hangman wrestle? Right, I would guess Okata or Takesha,
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: But again I would have done a tag match. I
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: just I like the idea of doing that tag match.
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: I know you want to have a world championship match
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: on the show. I get it. There's been talking rumors
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: going around that they might main event the show with
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: Copin Christian against FTR, which I actually think is kind
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: of ridiculous if you don't have the tag team titles
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: on the line in that match, that you would close
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: the show with that, But especially if there's any chance
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: of that, you can get away with not doing a
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: World championship match on that show. They have so many
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: other fucking titles it almost doesn't even matter Hangman Omega
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: against Okata and Takesha. That's an attraction. Tag team match there,
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: but it also ties into you know, this this story
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: that they're telling with the two members of the Kallis family,
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: so I'm kind of bummed they're not going in that direction.
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: Hangman defending the championship against Kyle Fletcher. If that ends
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: up being the match, it'll be a great match. I'm
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: under no illusion of you know, getting a new champion
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: crowned or anything like that, and it would be champion
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: against champion, which I mean, it's not really ideal, but
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: it's a great spot for Kyle Fletcher to be in
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: if that's where he ends up. If each challenging for
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: the world title on that pay per view, good for him.
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: MJF and Mark brisco it seems pretty sensible to expect
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: that their rematch will take place on that show, which
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: is why I think we may see MJF screwing him
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: over against the Keshtra this weekend. I don't know that
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: we ever even get to Briscoe and Kyle Fletcher, so
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: we'll see how that goes. But I thought it was
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: a solid show on the whole, you know, especially, there
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: were enough good matches here amidst all the chaos. I
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: mentioned the women's match I mentioned the TAC team title
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: match and then the main event, so that was all
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: good stuff. But I will I will reiterate, you know,
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: don't bring people back if you don't have something good
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: for them to do. Don't do it like the Wardlow thing.
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: I will continue to make fun of them for that,
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: because it is just so like, there's no excuse for
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: how comically absurd it is that they would bring back
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: somebody like that. You know, he's not just a random schmo.
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: You know, he's not Kenny Omega, but he's also not
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: some random jabrone, even though they kind of book him
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: that way, and they should have made a bigger deal
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: about him being back, and we should have heard from
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: him and we didn't, and now he's not even on
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: the fucking show. Like, there's no excuse for that. It's
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: just it's preposterous to me. Why even bring him back?
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: If he disappeared and we didn't see him again, and
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: Don Callas came out there next week and the week
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: after and the week after with his family, if Wardlow
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: wasn't there and they had eight people instead of nine,
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: would anybody notice If people like me didn't bring it up,
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: probably not nobody would notice and maybe nobody would care.
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: But that's sad and very, very stupid. Here's a Twitter poll.
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: How would you grade Dynamite from the twenty three hundred arena.
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: Thirty percent give the show an A. Nineteen percent give
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: the show a B. About seventeen percent roughly give the
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: show a C. Thirty four point three percent give this
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: show a D. That is with over eleven hundred votes
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: in and counting. Sarah says, missing one week of TV
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: is not a concern to me. However, if he does
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: not show up for a month, I will agree. Well, Sarah,
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: you're also you know, not realizing or just not mentioning
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: the fact that even though he was technically on the
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: show last week, he did nothing. So the way I
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: look at it is that's two weeks in a row
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: of no follow up. After bringing him back at the
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: pay per view, you thought enough to do the angle
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: with Swerve where he beat up Swerve and he beat
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: up Prince Nana. And when they're ready to come back,
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: I mean, if he's not back, you know next week,
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: I'm sure Wardlow will be back just in time to
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: be uh, you know, wrestling Swerve when Swerve comes back,
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: and Swerve will beat him, but the follow up is
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: so important. It's just there's there's just no logical explanation
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: for it anyway. At Solomn Monsters, where you can go
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: vote in the poll. At least we got some good matches, right,
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: You take what you can get. We are currently at
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: three fourteen on the likes. Not looking good for be
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: the Booker. I don't think we're gonna have any issue
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: getting to be the Booker on Friday, but as far
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: as Wednesday, it's not looking good. Death scythe again, thank
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: you for those gifted memberships. He also sent it to
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: a couple of superchats, said not saying that Punk should
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: have slapped Becky, he's so interested in Dynamite. His first
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: superchat is about raw not saying that Punk should have
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: slapped Becky, but he should have done what Roman Ones
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: did with Stephanie in twenty sixteen when she tried to
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: slap him and he grabbed her hand to prevent it. Yeah,
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: but if nobody was going to run down to the
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: ring to then attack Punk from behind, she would have
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: just swung at him with the other hand, and so
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: Punk grabs her other hand. Now we're at a stalemate.
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: What happens, then if I'm Becky, I'm just kneeing him
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: in the fucking balls. Can't stop that. We all know
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: these people in WWE, they don't wear any protection down there.
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: I think that's been well established. Also, how much of
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: a big deal would it be if Mayui Watani left
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: stardom and went to either WWE or AW It would
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: be a very big deal. Maybe not to the people
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: who don't follow Japanese wrestling, but anybody who knows Mayui Watani,
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: that would be a very big deal. Dry Chickens says,
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: Happy early thirty year anniversary to WCW Monday. Nitro for
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: tomorrow when the Eagles and Cowboys play tomorrow night, I
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: will be playing the Nitro theme. Nitro theme was awesome.
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: The Nitro theme was bitchin Man. I love that theme. Carrie,
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: have you watched the new season of Peacemaker? I didn't
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: watch the first season of Peacemaker. I probably should though,
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: because it was pretty well reviewed. Joseph Stewart Buyer Sell,
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: John Williams Superman theme or Danny Elfman Batman theme. Danny
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: Elfman Man, Danny Elfman for the win. Danny Elfman had
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: some great music for the first, The Beatlejuice movie too,
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: Danny Elfman is awesome. Were you a fan of the
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: Men in Black movies? The first one? Yes, I didn't
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: see the other ones. If he had stayed in e CW,
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: do you think Sid would have become ECW champion and
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: the face of e CW. I mean, if you would
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: have stayed there and had a longer run, Yes, he
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: would have been the champion, but no, he was not
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: gonna be the face of ECW. Will you do a
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: special review on Raven's documentary? No? If he did not
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: get injured. Do you think Ahmed Johnson would have been
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: a big star in WWE? They were certainly pushing him
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: in that direction, so yes, I think he would have been.
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: I didn't understand what he was saying eighty five percent
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: of the time, I mean subtitles on my television screen.
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: But had he not gotten injured as much and didn't
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: hurt other people, then yes, he could have gone far. Uh.
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: What do you think Ahmed Johnson's role would have been
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: in the Attitude era if he had not left WWI
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: I don't think he would have had much of a
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: role in the Attitude era. Do you think Ahmed boy,
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: you got a lot of Ahmed Johnson questions. Hey, do
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: you think Ahmed Johnson will go into the WWE Hall
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: of Fame? No? I do not. Have you seen the
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: movie Cool World with Brad Pitt and Kim Basinger. No?
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: Did you know Robert Pattinson? Not? Do I know him?
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: Did you know Robert Pattinson's performance as Bruce Wayne was
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: an inspiration of Kurt Cobain and River Phoenix. No? I
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: did not. Actually, I'm amazed that you do. Though by
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: or sale the Death Riders or the don Kallis family,
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: I will still buy on the don Kallis family. You
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: have a family that has Kazuchka Okata, Kenoski, Takeshta and
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: Kyle Fletcher. I can't bet against that. That automatically makes
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: it the better of the two options. Dry Chicken says,
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: it's Lloyd Christmas, and he has a scale question for you,
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: a scale question from zero to a million. What are
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: the chances of brock Lesnar winning gold again in WWE?
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: I can't put it at zero, but I'll put it
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: as low as I can go without being zero, So
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: I'll go one. I think his championship days are done
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: Joseph says, buy or sell Raven's run in WCW or
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: Raven's run in e CW, Raven's run in ECW. Did
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: you watch the show Mama's Family and who is your
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: favorite character from Mama's Family? I mean Thelma, of course,
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: Vicky Lawrence. I watched some episodes of Mama's Family. I
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: didn't watch it religiously, but you know, I was aware
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: of the show. I saw some of the episodes, so
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: I gotta go Thelma. Do you remember the Goldberg and
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: Sid feud in WCW and were you a fan of
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: the feud. I was not a fan of the feud,
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: but I certainly remember Sid walking out to his car
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: in the parking lot and finding that it was smashed
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: into a pancake, standing on top of it and screaming
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: Goldberg at the top of his lungs like a cartoon character.
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: I certainly remember that. I mean, that's a classic late
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: stage WCW. Dry Chickens says Tony Kahn was helping out
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: pro wrestling fans today. Sure, unless you were one of
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: the fans who had bought tickets to the show and
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: now you can't go. But everybody else, Yes, I agree
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: Joseph Stewart. How different would Seth Rollins's career be in
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: WWE right now if they had gone with Roman against
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: Dean Ambrose at WrestleMania thirty. I think Seth's career would
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: be exactly where it is now. He would still be
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: a top star for them. I will say, though, that
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: would have been a very dumb idea, and I can
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: understand why Seth would have been upset about that. The
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: original plan for WrestleMania thirty was Roman Rain against Dean Ambrose,
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: like they were gonna split the shield in December or
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: January heading into WrestleMania thirty, and it was gonna be
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: Roman and Dean one on one and Seth, he figures
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: he may he maybe would have ended up as the
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: guest referee for the met Like it's just awful, awful idea.
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: It's a good thing that didn't happen. Death Sith at
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: twenty nine dollars super Chat Punk wins the Royal Rumble.
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: Instead of challenging Seth where he may or may not
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: headline night one, He's gonna challenge Cody where he will
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: definitely headline night two, and Punkin say, Seth, you're not
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: worth it. You never were so fuck you. I would
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: be down for punkin Cody. I would that, I would,
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: I would be down for that. I feel like we
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: would get some quality promos leading up to it. Linclex.
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: ReHO in the Bank is cashed in credit to Riho.
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: She only cut one promo in her entire time in aw,
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: which was translated by Michael Nakazawa. And still over with
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: the crowd, they Hey, they love ReHO. She always gets
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: a reaction when she comes out. ReHO in the Bank.
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: Duff's VIDs What do duck hunters like to eat with
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: their cheese? Quackers? Quackers death side? What did the priest
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: say to the altar boy who sneezed, bless you my child?
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: Like quackers better? Not bad? But I I think I
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: got I gotta go with Quackers over that gold standard
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: with the five dollars super chut Aw is just flat
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: out embarrassing. I know you like to see the good
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: in a company, but Punk was right. Tony Kahan is
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: not a boss? Why is that? Why is he not
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: a boss? You didn't explain what you mean by that?
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: I mean, I think again, I think he made a
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: pretty wise business decision. Myself today by moving the show
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: from eight pm to three pm. I don't know if
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: that's what you're referring to, but Emperor Comment Dynamite gets
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: an S plus plus plus just for Riho Enjoy Enjoy.
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: She will be beaten and thrown into the scrap heap
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: with the rest of them until the next Mercedes Challenger
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: is named duffs VID's what's another name for an Asian assassin?
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: Chinese Takeout? Chinese Takeout Getting Heat AW South Park edition.
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: Oh my god, they killed Kenny, you bastards. Yeah again,
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: they killed him again? Leott Paul, Though, do we know
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: Wardlow's contract status? I wonder what WWE could do with
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: him and force her gimmick to start, hopefully a good
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: name and memorable song. You have right, Yeah, he'll get
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: the Deaf Rebel Special just like everybody else. Not that
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: his music is much better in AW, but I think
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: WWE would absolutely take him. They put him in n
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: XT and just try to get something out of him.
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: How far he would go, it really depends on him.
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: I think he could do well. I don't know what
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: that looks like, though, It depends, you know, how they
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: use him really and how he acclimates to that system.
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: I don't know what his contract status is. If his
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: contract was on the verge of expiring, Tony KHM would
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: not have brought him back at Forbidden Door. So my
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: guess is whatever he had left on his contract, he
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: missed so much time because of injuries, Tony is just
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: going to attack that time on. So even if his
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: contract was up in a matter of months, Tony could
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: probably hold on to him for a lot longer than that,
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: So he ain't going nowhere anytime soon. Duff's viz I
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: went to a really emotional wedding last week. Even the
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: cake was in tears. But Juliet, whoever in WWE WWE
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: Shop spoiled aj Lee's return on X is probably out
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: of a job today. Yeah, it's not a big deal.
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: Who cares? I mean, really, it looked like an AI
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: generated tweet and it was immediately deleted. But of course
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: people on the internet, they immediately take snapshots, screenshots, and
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: then they blow it up into something bigger. Honestly, the
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: people who screenshotted it and shared that really, if you
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: think about it, they If you want to blame anybody
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: for spoiling aj Lee's return, blame those people. Because they
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: didn't seem to have a problem blowing it up into
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: a big story where now everybody knows. Uh, Griga, hey Solo,
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: how you doing, Bud doing okay? I enjoy your replays. Question,
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: do you think Punk and Rollins have made up after
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: their beef? Thanks again, well, thank you, Griga. I don't
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: think there ever was a beef. I think they did
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: a very good job of convincing you that there was
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: a beef, and they continue to do a very good
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: job of convincing people that they really don't like each other.
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: But I don't think there ever was any real beef.
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: And I think Seth Rollins is very happy to be
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: working with Cmpunk, who is somebody who trained him for
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: free very early in his career, and I don't think
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: he ever forgot that. Anyway, I am going to be
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: heading out tomorrow hitting the road. I'm headed to Philadelphia, Philadelphia.
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: I will soon be inside you because I will be
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: going to House of Glory, our return show in Philadelphia
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: tomorrow night, eight pm, airing live on Triiller TV Plus.
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: If you can't be at the venue, and if you
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: are going to be at the venue, I hope I
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: get to see you there. Say hello, but we got
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: some big matches on the car. We're gonna have champion
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: against champion, title for title, the House of Glory World
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: Champion Charles Mason defending against the Progress the New Progress
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: World Champion Derese Bully Ray puts the Crown Jewel title
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: on the line. Big rematch against Zillafa two. Bully has
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: some history in that city. By the way, Shatzi and
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: Priscilla Kelly go one on one and our tag team
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: Champion's main event, Jay Lyon and miight As Black defend
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: the titles against Leo Rush and Action Andretti. So I
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: will be on the call. I will be there in
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: Philadelphia tomorrow. Hopefully you can be as well. But if not, right,
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: no major wrestling shows, no pay per views otherwise on
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: Thursday night, go check out hog I think you'll enjoy it.
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: The Yatagaratsu with a five dollars super chat. I somehow
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: feel like Jay Usso missed an opportunity to call his
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: super kick yeat Chin music. I'm very happy he didn't
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: do that. I'm glad he didn't as if enough people
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: haven't stolen that move and bastardized it over the years. Now,
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: they're going to steal the name of the move too.
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: Will I be visiting the Rocky Steps. I don't think
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: I'm gonna be able to have time to visit the
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: Rocky Steps. I'm gonna have just enough time to check
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: into my hotel, put my shit down and leave and
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: go right to the venue. Do the show, go back
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: to my hotel, wake up the next morning, have breakfast,
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: and hit the road so I can get home in
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: time to do SmackDown. It's a big SmackDown. I don't
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: want to miss that show on Friday night, so I'm
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna hit it and quit it in Philadelphia. But
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: it's gonna be good Night tomorrow and Adam looking forward
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: to it. And yes, the next time I Am Live
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: with You will be SmackDown on Friday Night. That will
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: be around ten thirty. It's a big show. John Cena
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: making his final appearance in Chicago, the city where he debuted,
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: and no brack lesnar on the show. But obviously we
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: will find out. I'm sure Brock's name will be invoked
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: because he is supposed to be on SmackDown the following
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: week and then CM Punk He's going to be there
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: and it sounds like somebody else is going to be
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: there too, so we shall see the Winston Slit Channel
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: member for twenty six months, says a great show as always,
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: mister Monster, Thanks for all the hard work. What is
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: your favorite pay per view ever? King of the Ring
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: nineteen ninety three. Something about that pay per view I
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: love so much. Not even everything on the show is great,
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: but there's enough great stuff on the show that it's
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: my personal favorite. I also love that first ECW one
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: night Stand in two thousand and five. That might be
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: my number two. Be well, stay safe. I will see
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: some of you tomorrow, perhaps see you guys Friday.
