- 0:00Speaker 1: And now Move the Sticks with Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks.
- 0:07Speaker 2: What's up everybody?
- 0:08Speaker 1: Welcome to Move the Sticks, DJ, Bucky Rhett with you
- 0:11Speaker 1: on a Monday, as we're looking back at a man,
- 0:13Speaker 1: what crazy weekend of NFL games. There's some weeks where
- 0:16Speaker 1: you kind of go, Okay, what are the top three
- 0:18Speaker 1: games we need to get to and there's other weeks
- 0:20Speaker 1: where they kind of write the script itself here and
- 0:22Speaker 1: that's what we have.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Great to see you boys here. Buck, where are you
- 0:25Speaker 2: at there?
- 0:26Speaker 1: Looks like you're posing for a picture at Owens Owens
- 0:29Speaker 1: Mills or whatever they call that placed back in the day.
- 0:31Speaker 2: What was the name of that?
- 0:32Speaker 3: You go get your professional or not always Mills Mills,
- 0:37Speaker 3: Olin Mills, thank you.
- 0:38Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean like I am still in Jacksonville.
- 0:42Speaker 5: I'm on my way back, but this is the backdrop
- 0:45Speaker 5: in the lobby of the hotel at the Business Center
- 0:47Speaker 5: and they just so happen to have this, like I mean, yeah,
- 0:49Speaker 5: like a nice little backdrop.
- 0:51Speaker 4: Looks might need to add this at the ouse.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel think that's where that picture from like
- 0:55Speaker 1: the Jack step Brothers was was taken their Rhett, you
- 0:58Speaker 1: know what I mean that looks like I need and
- 1:00Speaker 1: Biselli to cozy up and take a pick there. Uh ratt, Hey,
- 1:05Speaker 1: let's get out of the way. Congrats, who's your still rolling?
- 1:08Speaker 1: Still undefeated? Uh, you're still.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Wrong at the point where we're just getting it out
- 1:11Speaker 3: of the way. Now, we're just getting it out of
- 1:13Speaker 3: the way at the top of the show.
- 1:14Speaker 6: Now a reality thing.
- 1:16Speaker 3: Let's just stay sing ten, just keeps rolling here. Okay,
- 1:19Speaker 3: So yeah, it's all good.
- 1:21Speaker 1: It's impressive, it's impressive. All right, Let's let's start things
- 1:24Speaker 1: off here. First game. Look, there's only one place to start,
- 1:27Speaker 1: and that was the number one pick, the number two pick,
- 1:30Speaker 1: Jade and Caleb. A game that was maybe one of
- 1:33Speaker 1: us entertaining finishes of a game we've seen, not just
- 1:35Speaker 1: this year but in quite some time. Crazy ending. We'll
- 1:38Speaker 1: get to the ending of this game won by the
- 1:40Speaker 1: Commanders eighteen to fifteen.
- 1:42Speaker 2: But before we do.
- 1:43Speaker 1: That, uh Buck, lead us off and followim up here.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Just take away on the two guys. I mean, that's
- 1:49Speaker 1: what the price of admission was for those two quarterbacks.
- 1:51Speaker 5: What you see from them, I mean, this is exactly
- 1:54Speaker 5: what you want when you when you when you pick
- 1:56Speaker 5: a quarterback that high you're hoping that they delivered the
- 1:59Speaker 5: kind of performances both of these guys are able to deliver.
- 2:02Speaker 5: I think it's easy to talk about Jayden Daniels and
- 2:05Speaker 5: the legend that continues to grow in Washington, like the
- 2:08Speaker 5: excitement over him won the decision that he wanted.
- 2:12Speaker 4: To play, he wanted to take the ball despite the
- 2:14Speaker 4: ribs and those things like he's like, no, I'm playing.
- 2:17Speaker 4: I'm gonna make this happen. I'm gonna do it.
- 2:19Speaker 5: He does it without like what left tackles out, He
- 2:21Speaker 5: has some other people out.
- 2:22Speaker 4: He just continues to make plays.
- 2:24Speaker 5: And then look, man, this dude has ribs, but he's
- 2:27Speaker 5: running the ball. It's just such a stark contrast to
- 2:30Speaker 5: some of the other quarterbacks that we see, I e.
- 2:32Speaker 4: Anthony Richardson.
- 2:33Speaker 5: I think it's just it's just crazy that this guy
- 2:37Speaker 5: is as good as he is. I look, I underestimated
- 2:40Speaker 5: how good he would be in the pros.
- 2:42Speaker 4: He's everything and beyond.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that is that is certainly one of
- 2:47Speaker 3: the big takeaways here from not only this game, but
- 2:49Speaker 3: this season, as you said, eight games in now for
- 2:51Speaker 3: the Commanders leading the NFC East.
- 2:54Speaker 6: Okay, I think on.
- 2:56Speaker 3: The other side for Caleb Williams. You know, this was
- 3:00Speaker 3: went down and led what many thought was going to
- 3:02Speaker 3: be a game winning drive at the end of the game.
- 3:04Speaker 3: So I don't leave this game feeling any different about Caleb.
- 3:07Speaker 3: I leave this game thinking, man, number one and number
- 3:10Speaker 3: two pick overall so far feel like home runs for
- 3:13Speaker 3: both these teams, and that's kind of where I'm at
- 3:16Speaker 3: on that one. I would also just say quickly on
- 3:19Speaker 3: the Commander's second pick in this draft, played his best
- 3:23Speaker 3: game as a pro. Johnny Newton was all over the
- 3:26Speaker 3: place on the interior defensive line for the Washington Commanders.
- 3:30Speaker 3: I thought, by far had his best game of the season.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Eight pressures, got his first sack. The quickness and get
- 3:36Speaker 3: off reminded me of the due that we saw at
- 3:37Speaker 3: Illinois that was so difficult to deal with on the interior.
- 3:40Speaker 6: He looks a little smaller in there, but man, I'm telling.
- 3:43Speaker 3: You, sometimes I he'll delay a little bit and then
- 3:46Speaker 3: it's like he hits the turbo button and like he
- 3:48Speaker 3: is pushing the center back on top of the quarterback
- 3:52Speaker 3: so quickly.
- 3:54Speaker 6: Man, he's got that.
- 3:55Speaker 3: He's got that quickness when he wants to get off
- 3:57Speaker 3: liket he wins. He wins right now, and so there
- 4:00Speaker 3: was a couple of times where you put the center
- 4:02Speaker 3: on roller skates right back into Kayleb Williams. So I'm
- 4:05Speaker 3: impressed with with really all that we saw from from
- 4:08Speaker 3: some of the young players in this game.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Yeah, it was.
- 4:11Speaker 1: It was fun to go through the tape this morning,
- 4:13Speaker 1: starting with Jaden. First of all, there was four drops
- 4:16Speaker 1: in this game. So look at how good the stats
- 4:17Speaker 1: look at the end of the game. We'll get to
- 4:19Speaker 1: the hill marry in just a little bit. But all
- 4:21Speaker 1: the poise that we've seen all year long was there.
- 4:24Speaker 1: The opportunistic play making with his legs when he needed
- 4:27Speaker 1: to get out of trouble, that was there. And I'm
- 4:30Speaker 1: just I'm watching this game and I'm sitting here thinking,
- 4:33Speaker 1: we all know Adam Peters, and you look at the
- 4:36Speaker 1: skill position players that they accumulated in San Francisco during
- 4:39Speaker 1: his time there with John Lynch, and I'm like, this
- 4:41Speaker 1: is the ground floor like that. If you're excited right
- 4:44Speaker 1: now as a Washington fan, be even more excited. This
- 4:47Speaker 1: is going to be the worst group that he plays
- 4:49Speaker 1: with probably for you know, least in there's five seven
- 4:52Speaker 1: years Adam Peter's going to add pieces here. They're going
- 4:54Speaker 1: to get more dynamic players. Terry mclaurin's awesome, but he's
- 4:56Speaker 1: gonna have some help here coming shortly as the continue
- 5:00Speaker 1: to build out this roster. So absolutely as good as
- 5:03Speaker 1: advertised for Jad and Daniels.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Caleb.
- 5:06Speaker 1: I had heard from a lot of people, you know,
- 5:07Speaker 1: just that had watched the game. I hadn't seen it,
- 5:10Speaker 1: so I had to watch it on tape this morning.
- 5:11Speaker 1: The thought was, okay, Caleb was too amped up, and
- 5:15Speaker 1: then he settled down, and then he played well, obviously
- 5:17Speaker 1: in the fourth quarter on those two big drives. Late
- 5:20Speaker 1: and watching the tape, I thought, more so than like nerves,
- 5:24Speaker 1: I thought he was tentative early in the game, like
- 5:27Speaker 1: he did not want to make a mistake. He did
- 5:30Speaker 1: not want to cost his team, he did not want
- 5:32Speaker 1: to turn the ball over. There's an example early. I
- 5:34Speaker 1: think it's the first pass of the game. They have
- 5:36Speaker 1: one of those little swing screens set up. They're unable
- 5:39Speaker 1: to cut the defensive end. It's still a throw because
- 5:42Speaker 1: they're blocked out in the perimeter. He's got to get
- 5:44Speaker 1: it up and over the defensive end and drop it
- 5:47Speaker 1: down and then you probably have a pretty nice little play.
- 5:49Speaker 1: I think was second and ten at that point in time.
- 5:52Speaker 1: But he's sitting there thinking, I'm not going to throw
- 5:54Speaker 1: a pick to this defensive end this early in game.
- 5:57Speaker 2: I'm not going to do it. Holds the ball takes
- 5:59Speaker 2: a sack.
- 6:00Speaker 1: There's later on in the game everybody shows the throw
- 6:02Speaker 1: with Keenan Allen where the ball kind of sails on him.
- 6:05Speaker 1: He didn't on a couple of these screens. I don't
- 6:06Speaker 1: think he really trusts the receivers that are in position
- 6:10Speaker 1: to block, Like, hey, if you know, if I throw
- 6:12Speaker 1: this ball and they don't secure this block, this could
- 6:15Speaker 1: something bad could happen. So I thought I saw a
- 6:18Speaker 1: lot of that with him, some tentativeness and not wanting
- 6:20Speaker 1: to make a mistake. I saw him turning down some
- 6:22Speaker 1: opportunities down the field and taking off and trying to run.
- 6:25Speaker 1: And then I thought, as it got late where it
- 6:27Speaker 1: was got to have it time. I thought he threw
- 6:29Speaker 1: caution to the wind. He has the huge throw from
- 6:31Speaker 1: in the pocket where he gets drilled. I thought that
- 6:35Speaker 1: was you know that that's who he needs to be.
- 6:36Speaker 1: So if I'm in that coaching staff, I'm saying, hey, man,
- 6:39Speaker 1: we're gonna you're gonna turn the ball over, You're gonna
- 6:41Speaker 1: make some mistakes, but we drafted you to be you,
- 6:44Speaker 1: and that's the aggressive version of you and bucket, you know.
- 6:47Speaker 1: I I think that's it's a good thing that he's
- 6:50Speaker 1: conscious of it, that he's aware of it. Hey, protect
- 6:52Speaker 1: the football. We have a great defense. Don't don't screw
- 6:54Speaker 1: it up. But I still think you got to let
- 6:56Speaker 1: Caleb kind of be Caleb, and I think that was
- 6:58Speaker 1: the difference between early in the game and what we
- 6:59Speaker 1: saw on the fourth quarter.
- 7:01Speaker 5: Yeah, I think he should be encouraged to kind of
- 7:03Speaker 5: toe the line, see where his boundaries are, like try
- 7:07Speaker 5: to eliminate I would say, like the bonehead mistakes, but
- 7:10Speaker 5: like push the envelope a little bit, because what you
- 7:12Speaker 5: don't want to do is take someone who is as
- 7:15Speaker 5: talented as he is, who really made his living at
- 7:17Speaker 5: the collegiate level with improvisational plays, and say, hey, we
- 7:21Speaker 5: want to put you in a box and make you
- 7:22Speaker 5: a robot. That's not why they drafted him. And so
- 7:25Speaker 5: because he is so talented, he is so gifted, he
- 7:28Speaker 5: just has to understand when and where. I think for me,
- 7:31Speaker 5: it's all about situational awareness, understanding when you can push
- 7:35Speaker 5: the envelope understanding when.
- 7:36Speaker 4: You need a dollar back.
- 7:37Speaker 5: If he masters that part of it, which is called
- 7:39Speaker 5: game management, look, he would be everything that we thought
- 7:42Speaker 5: he could be.
- 7:42Speaker 1: In more, we got to get to the end of
- 7:45Speaker 1: the game here, rhet I'll tee you up first, your thoughts,
- 7:48Speaker 1: the hail Mary.
- 7:50Speaker 2: We provide credit.
- 7:51Speaker 1: We'll blanket the credit early for Jaden Daniels buying all
- 7:54Speaker 1: kinds of time and just launching an absolute gem of
- 7:59Speaker 1: a ball there and Noel Brown being in the right spot.
- 8:01Speaker 1: We've covered the I think that's pretty easy for everybody
- 8:04Speaker 1: to understand and see and explain. Let's focus on the
- 8:07Speaker 1: other side of the ball. What's your takeaway at the
- 8:09Speaker 1: Chicago into this thing, because there.
- 8:12Speaker 3: Were three phases of it, and that was the first phase,
- 8:14Speaker 3: right with Jane Daniels beying the time. The second phase
- 8:16Speaker 3: was what in the world was going on with Tyreek
- 8:18Speaker 3: Stevenson twenty nine And we know he was going back
- 8:20Speaker 3: and forth with Terry McLaurin and all that john all
- 8:23Speaker 3: game long, and it continued and it was obviously a
- 8:26Speaker 3: problem there at the end. So I talked to actually
- 8:29Speaker 3: spent the morning on NFL Radio on Serius sexm and
- 8:32Speaker 3: was talking with Logan Ryan Right, two times Super Bowl
- 8:34Speaker 3: champion defensive back the Patriots, Bucks Titans, all that, and
- 8:38Speaker 3: he went through and laid out the entire plan as
- 8:40Speaker 3: Bill Belichick would have taught it, right, and it was
- 8:42Speaker 3: called rebound, That's what he said.
- 8:44Speaker 6: The play was called right where you had one guy
- 8:47Speaker 6: that was designated as the jumper for the defense. Right,
- 8:50Speaker 6: you rush for, you drop seven.
- 8:51Speaker 3: You've got one guy designated as the jumper, the other
- 8:54Speaker 3: four guys are trying to box out the other receivers,
- 8:57Speaker 3: and then you have a guy defending a deflection in
- 9:00Speaker 3: front of the mess and behind the mess.
- 9:03Speaker 6: The Bears had none of that all.
- 9:05Speaker 3: They had two guys that were kind of shadowing a
- 9:08Speaker 3: commander's receiver that was in front of the goal line,
- 9:11Speaker 3: in front of the mass that was jumping up to
- 9:13Speaker 3: get the ball, and then obviously nobody on Noah Brown behind.
- 9:17Speaker 3: But they had five guys going up for the same
- 9:20Speaker 3: jump ball.
- 9:22Speaker 6: This will play Bucky.
- 9:23Speaker 3: That is practiced at least once a week in practice, right,
- 9:28Speaker 3: it's every team every week, and they go through all
- 9:32Speaker 3: of the procedures.
- 9:33Speaker 6: Here. This was just an epic fail. An epic fail.
- 9:36Speaker 3: And I have I mean I have zero I mean
- 9:39Speaker 3: I have zero doubt that this was not the way
- 9:42Speaker 3: that Matt Eberfors coaches is play right. So from your perspective,
- 9:46Speaker 3: I mean, for my percent, that's what I saw. What
- 9:49Speaker 3: did What did you see on that?
- 9:51Speaker 4: Well?
- 9:51Speaker 5: One, I saw Tederick Stevens and not being focused because
- 9:53Speaker 5: he's still jing with the crowd while the play is underway.
- 9:57Speaker 5: And then what you talk about, I think Logan Ryan
- 9:59Speaker 5: gives a good point. It is a hard play to
- 10:02Speaker 5: defend only in terms of like the positioning and trying
- 10:06Speaker 5: to judge the ball. So I do think it's great
- 10:08Speaker 5: that Bill Belichick said only one guy, only one guy
- 10:11Speaker 5: gets to jump. Everybody else find a man box him out,
- 10:15Speaker 5: just like basketball, and you have to practice it. The
- 10:17Speaker 5: thing is, you can't practice it in full speed, but
- 10:19Speaker 5: you certainly can get into position and talk about it.
- 10:23Speaker 5: It's one of the things that's always scary about the
- 10:26Speaker 5: Hill Mary situation is people just leaving their responsibilities and
- 10:31Speaker 5: ball watching and like it's mesmerizing and Tyreek goes from
- 10:35Speaker 5: off the side to in the middle of it. He
- 10:38Speaker 5: tips it and remember we always talk about it, down
- 10:42Speaker 5: it right down.
- 10:43Speaker 4: He tips it.
- 10:44Speaker 5: Right up and lands in the hands of Noah Brown
- 10:48Speaker 5: like just an unbelievable play.
- 10:50Speaker 3: But DJ, here's the other coach got on that too, right,
- 10:53Speaker 3: because once that ball is tipped, if there's a guy
- 10:56Speaker 3: on Noah Brown, you could just tackle him to the
- 10:58Speaker 3: ground because there is no more pass interfere after the
- 11:00Speaker 3: ball is tipped. So's there's a bunch of stuff there.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Yeah, I have an interesting take on what happened to
- 11:08Speaker 1: play before, and I'll get to that, But I want
- 11:10Speaker 1: to first of all, blame this loss on video games.
- 11:12Speaker 1: I'm one hundred percent blaming this loss on video games
- 11:15Speaker 1: because Ret's a little younger than us, Buck, But I
- 11:19Speaker 1: guarantee you Bucky had the same childhood I did. That
- 11:22Speaker 1: We didn't sit inside and play video games. We went
- 11:24Speaker 1: outside in the street with all of our friends in
- 11:26Speaker 1: the neighborhood and we played three Flies Up. These kids
- 11:29Speaker 1: are sitting here playing video games. They didn't grow up
- 11:32Speaker 1: playing three flies up like we did. And we did
- 11:35Speaker 1: it for hours and hours.
- 11:36Speaker 4: And hours and hours.
- 11:38Speaker 1: I guarantee if you ask everybody on defense, if you said,
- 11:40Speaker 1: what's three flies up, they won't even know what it is.
- 11:42Speaker 2: It's a generational thing.
- 11:44Speaker 4: They don't know. They don't know.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I also play consoles.
- 11:49Speaker 5: Also blame the guys they didn't play multiple sports who
- 11:52Speaker 5: don't understand how to judge a fly ball, so they're
- 11:55Speaker 5: drifting and fading away. They don't understand, like how to
- 11:58Speaker 5: track it in the air. All those things are to
- 12:01Speaker 5: be done. And Matt uber Flus was so mad. He
- 12:04Speaker 5: was so instanced when they asked him, do you practice
- 12:06Speaker 5: you practice to hill Mary? I know he's like, yes,
- 12:09Speaker 5: but I can't execute it for him. I can only
- 12:12Speaker 5: put him in a position. I can't tell them to
- 12:14Speaker 5: catch it and knock it down and all this other stuff.
- 12:16Speaker 5: But man, that is a tough way to go out.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Last thing. I tease it real quick.
- 12:21Speaker 1: I was talking to rich Eisen about this morning, which
- 12:24Speaker 1: was and I posted it on social media because end
- 12:26Speaker 1: of the half, they were in the same hill Mary
- 12:29Speaker 1: situation at the end of half. So they're at the
- 12:31Speaker 1: Chicago forty nine eight seconds left and Chicago plays a
- 12:35Speaker 1: defense where they protect the sidelines and bucket.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Even though you've seen this a million times, lane on
- 12:39Speaker 2: the secator, yes, you take that a light.
- 12:42Speaker 1: So they took that away because they knew fifteen yards
- 12:44Speaker 1: gets them in field goal range.
- 12:46Speaker 2: They could still throw the hill mary.
- 12:47Speaker 1: But understanding they probably with the time with eight seconds,
- 12:50Speaker 1: they're going to try and get closer to getting field
- 12:52Speaker 1: goal range. They're at the ball at the thirty five,
- 12:55Speaker 1: the Washington thirty five. There's six seconds left. That's still
- 12:57Speaker 1: plenty of time to be able to get the ball
- 12:59Speaker 1: down the field.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Little bit.
- 13:00Speaker 1: They don't play this. They got everybody down the field.
- 13:02Speaker 1: There's nobody protecting the sidelines. It's the easiest fifteen yards
- 13:06Speaker 1: to put them in position to make the hail mary throw.
- 13:08Speaker 1: And I'm like, I just didn't understand with the situations
- 13:12Speaker 1: being so similar, why would you have a different approach
- 13:15Speaker 1: end of half than you had at the end of
- 13:16Speaker 1: the game.
- 13:17Speaker 2: That didn't make any sense to me.
- 13:20Speaker 4: It doesn't make any sense.
- 13:20Speaker 5: And it's unfortunate that they had to learn our hard lesson,
- 13:23Speaker 5: But it's one that I bet you from the rest
- 13:25Speaker 5: of his career, Tyrick Stevenson will learn how to play
- 13:27Speaker 5: the haile Mary.
- 13:28Speaker 4: You don't have to worry about him goofing off with
- 13:30Speaker 4: the crowd and.
- 13:31Speaker 5: Not being focus and locked in, you would hope, because
- 13:34Speaker 5: it costs his team a game.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Yeah, no, luck, we could spend we could spend thirty
- 13:39Speaker 1: more minutes on this game, but crazy crazy finished. Positive note,
- 13:44Speaker 1: both these teams have their franchise quarterbacks and they're both
- 13:46Speaker 1: going to be competitive, good football teams for the next decade.
- 13:49Speaker 1: So that was fun to see. Baltimore Cleveland. Biggest surprise
- 13:52Speaker 1: of the day reht and that result.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Yeah, because the guy who was the emergency third quarterback
- 13:58Speaker 3: last week ended up starting and have a gem of
- 14:00Speaker 3: a game. We got good Jamis Winston on this day
- 14:04Speaker 3: for the Cleveland Browns. So here's a couple of things.
- 14:10Speaker 3: The Browns coming into this game had never had more
- 14:13Speaker 3: than five explosive passing plays in a game this season.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Fifteen plus passing yards is where we'll go on the
- 14:20Speaker 3: categorization of that. And the five the game where they
- 14:23Speaker 3: had five was the week before in which Shaun Watson
- 14:25Speaker 3: didn't play the whole game and you had dtr and
- 14:27Speaker 3: Jamis come in.
- 14:27Speaker 6: Before that, it was never more than four.
- 14:30Speaker 3: They had ten explosive plays in the passing game here,
- 14:33Speaker 3: doubling their previous season high. It also led the league
- 14:36Speaker 3: this week, and it was you know, also keeping in
- 14:40Speaker 3: mind they shipped to Marty Cooper out, this was you know,
- 14:43Speaker 3: this was Elijah Moore, this was David Nijoku, and so
- 14:46Speaker 3: I thought that that was really big that Jamis was
- 14:50Speaker 3: opening up the capabilities of this offense.
- 14:53Speaker 6: Also, average depth of target three yards deeper.
- 14:57Speaker 3: That's a big difference than it had been for much
- 14:59Speaker 3: of this season. And Jamis time to throw quicker than
- 15:04Speaker 3: any quarterback for any for any Browns game this season.
- 15:07Speaker 6: Two point four to four seconds.
- 15:08Speaker 3: Ball was coming out of his hands, so he's seeing it,
- 15:11Speaker 3: he's pushing the ball down the field, and he's executing
- 15:13Speaker 3: it right there. I thought that was huge for this
- 15:16Speaker 3: Browns offense. And man, he was able to keep the
- 15:20Speaker 3: ball out of the hands of the Ravens, which you know,
- 15:22Speaker 3: you were always kind of waiting for that other shoot
- 15:24Speaker 3: to drop.
- 15:24Speaker 6: But I thought that was.
- 15:25Speaker 3: A big time performance from Jameis Winston in this one. Obviously,
- 15:28Speaker 3: none bigger on the explosive side than the thirty eight
- 15:30Speaker 3: yarder for the game winner.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Yeah, let me put this in some perspective here.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Only two other quarterbacks went for three hundred and three
- 15:36Speaker 1: passing touchdowns in a win in his first start of
- 15:39Speaker 1: a season on a team that was five games below
- 15:41Speaker 1: five hundred. That's John staffa not familiar of the sixty
- 15:45Speaker 1: six Dolphins and Lend Dickey know the name seventy three Oilers. Yeah,
- 15:49Speaker 1: so that's that's rare company there for what he accomplished.
- 15:53Speaker 1: But I'll get it to you this way, Buck, if
- 15:55Speaker 1: you did a lineup right, if we were to just say, okay,
- 15:58Speaker 1: we're going to try and pick out the quarterback here,
- 16:00Speaker 1: which one is not like the other in terms of
- 16:02Speaker 1: how they play. If you just put on the tape
- 16:04Speaker 1: and you watched historically over their career, the way that
- 16:07Speaker 1: Jamis Winston plays football, the way Joe Flacco plays football,
- 16:10Speaker 1: the way Deshaun Watson plays football, there's a reason why
- 16:13Speaker 1: these other two guys have had success in this system.
- 16:16Speaker 1: This is and I'm not here to back Deshaun Watson,
- 16:18Speaker 1: but everybody's talked about Deshaun Watson's ability. This is not
- 16:21Speaker 1: a fit. It was not a fit from the beginning.
- 16:24Speaker 1: It did not work. This is not the right quarterback
- 16:27Speaker 1: style of play for this offense. Then they tried to
- 16:29Speaker 1: change the offense to fit him. Well, that didn't work.
- 16:31Speaker 1: At the end of the day, this offense runs best
- 16:34Speaker 1: with a statue esque pure pocket passer. Get the ball
- 16:38Speaker 1: out of your hand, that's what Joe Flacco is and
- 16:41Speaker 1: as we can see, that's what Jameis Winston is is
- 16:44Speaker 1: even more than that.
- 16:45Speaker 5: Let's break it down to it is teams that are
- 16:48Speaker 5: good running teams. The passing game should be a vertical
- 16:51Speaker 5: based passing game. And what you have in Joe Flacco
- 16:54Speaker 5: and Jamis Winston guys that want to push the ball
- 16:57Speaker 5: down the field. Because if you're throwing off action, deeper
- 17:01Speaker 5: developing routes, you're looking for the home run shot against
- 17:04Speaker 5: one on one coverage. Jameis Winston, Joe Flacco, they take that.
- 17:08Speaker 5: With Deshaun Watson, that's not his game. Dejean Watson is
- 17:11Speaker 5: more of a West Coast offensive system, something that is
- 17:14Speaker 5: not dink and dump, but something that's more ball control.
- 17:17Speaker 5: Jameis Winston is going to push the ball down the field, now,
- 17:20Speaker 5: no risky, no biscuit. There're gonna be more turnovers that happen,
- 17:24Speaker 5: But as you said, the reward more explosive plays, ten
- 17:28Speaker 5: explosive plays in the passing game. With Nick Chubb coming back,
- 17:31Speaker 5: the running game like it is a better fit for
- 17:34Speaker 5: how the Browns want to play. When you have a
- 17:36Speaker 5: guy that wants to push it down the field.
- 17:38Speaker 6: James's favorite checkdown is a deep post.
- 17:41Speaker 4: Oh, there's no checkout. We're not taking checkdowns. Yeah, you're right.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Hey, you're gonna push it out the field. By the way, Ratt,
- 17:51Speaker 2: hitch you on this first and we'll go around. But yeah,
- 17:54Speaker 2: are we panicking yet?
- 17:55Speaker 1: Like, I haven't seen the Ravens play bad defense like
- 17:58Speaker 1: this in a long time. Man, they stay on defense
- 18:00Speaker 1: right now.
- 18:01Speaker 6: Yeah, it was definitely popped up.
- 18:03Speaker 3: And yeah, and I mean obviously, you know, missing their
- 18:05Speaker 3: their top two corners I think is a big deal
- 18:07Speaker 3: here too, on a game like this. But I mean,
- 18:10Speaker 3: like we had You might remember last time we heard
- 18:12Speaker 3: from Elijah Moore in a Cleveland Browns uniform. I mean
- 18:14Speaker 3: he shows up today, Nidjoku comes up, you know, and
- 18:18Speaker 3: shows up with that pro Bowl type talent that we
- 18:20Speaker 3: saw from him, and I mean, yeah, it is alarming.
- 18:24Speaker 6: I think Kyle Hamilton again was all over the place.
- 18:26Speaker 3: And look, he probably dropped an interception right that might
- 18:30Speaker 3: have ended the game before the Tillman touchdown.
- 18:32Speaker 6: So I mean, they it could have been a little
- 18:34Speaker 6: bit different.
- 18:35Speaker 3: But I would say for this team to realize it's
- 18:37Speaker 3: full potential, there's got to be some some changes to
- 18:40Speaker 3: what they're doing over there on the defensive side.
- 18:43Speaker 5: Well, they actually knew that they needed to add something
- 18:45Speaker 5: to it. They bring Dan Peace in to Dan Pece
- 18:48Speaker 5: comes over to be like a mentor because Zachary Or
- 18:51Speaker 5: is a first time defensive play caller and he's doing
- 18:54Speaker 5: it for a team that is known for their defense,
- 18:56Speaker 5: which is a lot of pressure. And if they don't
- 18:59Speaker 5: fix the defense, like they're limited. The offense can take
- 19:01Speaker 5: them so far, but they can't deal with the heavyweights
- 19:04Speaker 5: in the AFC if they don't play great defense. We're
- 19:06Speaker 5: seeing that and the fact that they lose the game
- 19:09Speaker 5: against the Cleveland Browns, that's.
- 19:10Speaker 4: Just sound the a large.
- 19:11Speaker 5: We saw Marcus Williams get benched in the game. They
- 19:14Speaker 5: talked about the coverage issues in those things. Yeah, I'm
- 19:18Speaker 5: worried about Baltimore because we've always been able to count
- 19:21Speaker 5: the defense showing up, but now the defense isn't showing up.
- 19:23Speaker 4: So that's that's problematic.
- 19:27Speaker 1: By the way, jamis on that near pick, ifs and
- 19:31Speaker 1: should and would have could as don't mean anything so.
- 19:35Speaker 5: Small man, as we say, long foul ball, long foul.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Ball, next pitch is all the matters, all right, We'll
- 19:44Speaker 1: see what happens with the Ravens. I wouldn't surprised too
- 19:47Speaker 1: the trade deadline approaching, they'll do something like the They.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Will be aggressive. I would be shocked if they aren't.
- 19:53Speaker 1: They have a history of going out trying to fix
- 19:55Speaker 1: some words here, so we'll see what they do, all right.
- 19:58Speaker 1: We don't even spend as long a time on this one.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Buck San Francisco Dallas weird game like it just looked
- 20:05Speaker 1: like it was over and with San Francisco firmly in control,
- 20:09Speaker 1: and then Seedee Lamb got going a little bit. Dallas
- 20:11Speaker 1: came back and made it a ballgame, but still not enough.
- 20:15Speaker 4: Yeah, still not enough.
- 20:16Speaker 5: It's weird, man, because I feel like the Cowboys are
- 20:18Speaker 5: overmatched every time they step onto the field against the top.
- 20:20Speaker 4: Team, and this kind of played out like that.
- 20:23Speaker 5: I thought it was interesting listening to the call where
- 20:26Speaker 5: they talked about the nine and just felt like they
- 20:27Speaker 5: could wear the Cowboys down and they would beat them
- 20:29Speaker 5: down and eventually they would crack.
- 20:31Speaker 4: And that's kind of what took place.
- 20:32Speaker 5: And that has been the thing that has hurt them
- 20:35Speaker 5: against some of the top teams in the NFC. They
- 20:37Speaker 5: just don't have the staying power to go for sixty
- 20:40Speaker 5: four minutes for the Cowboys. I think Mike McCarthy would
- 20:43Speaker 5: try and build off of this performance because they did
- 20:45Speaker 5: fight back. They got back in and had a chance,
- 20:48Speaker 5: you know, to make it happen in the tilted in
- 20:51Speaker 5: their favor.
- 20:51Speaker 4: We couldn't do it, but you have to admired to fight.
- 20:54Speaker 5: I just don't know if there's enough on this roster
- 20:57Speaker 5: to give them a chance to get into the postseason.
- 21:02Speaker 6: Yeah, this is tough.
- 21:03Speaker 3: I mean, this is a team that's really failing in
- 21:06Speaker 3: two major categories that are conduced to team success running
- 21:11Speaker 3: the football and stop in the run. And we've talked
- 21:13Speaker 3: about it. I feel like for the last couple of
- 21:14Speaker 3: weeks here with the Niners or with the cut with
- 21:16Speaker 3: the Cowboys, rather the run defense is bad.
- 21:19Speaker 6: It's just that that's all there is to it.
- 21:21Speaker 3: I mean we're talking about I know, it's the scheme
- 21:23Speaker 3: here with with what since, with what San Francisco wants
- 21:25Speaker 3: to do. But you know, Isaac Garrindo came in and
- 21:28Speaker 3: again it just looks like another one of those backs
- 21:30Speaker 3: that steps in and find success for San Francisco. The
- 21:33Speaker 3: Cowboys have allowed sixty eight first downs this year on
- 21:37Speaker 3: the ground that is at the very bottom of the league. Minnesota,
- 21:40Speaker 3: for comparison, is tops in the league in that category,
- 21:42Speaker 3: and they've allowed twenty three.
- 21:44Speaker 6: That is a huge gap.
- 21:46Speaker 3: Like you are getting gashed on the ground when you're
- 21:48Speaker 3: giving up chain moving plays like that on the ground,
- 21:51Speaker 3: and look the they're on the field too long and
- 21:57Speaker 3: they're you know, they're just getting beat up front. I
- 21:59Speaker 3: don't think they have an if they're in the interior,
- 22:01Speaker 3: like Lynvald Joseph Mazzi Smith, I don't feel like the
- 22:04Speaker 3: answer is there up front, and they can't run the
- 22:06Speaker 3: ball on offense, so like it's just that that to me,
- 22:09Speaker 3: no matter how I mean, Ceede Lamb might go for
- 22:10Speaker 3: two hundred yards.
- 22:11Speaker 6: Next week and they still might lose.
- 22:13Speaker 3: Like it's just it just feels like the formula that
- 22:16Speaker 3: they have that they've been showing right here is just
- 22:19Speaker 3: it's not available for them to find consistent wins.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Well, I can finish it up on this thought.
- 22:25Speaker 1: With Dallas Cowboys, there's only one thing they need to do,
- 22:27Speaker 1: and they will fix the run game, and it's it's
- 22:29Speaker 1: it's pretty simple. It probably costs a lot of money,
- 22:32Speaker 1: but they need to go buy a DeLorean because if
- 22:34Speaker 1: they can go back in time about seven years, the
- 22:37Speaker 1: fact that they have Mozekil Elliott and Dalvin Cook, I mean,
- 22:40Speaker 1: this run game would be would be pretty dynamic and good.
- 22:43Speaker 3: Shoot twenty seven years ago, twenty eighteen, let's go.
- 22:47Speaker 2: Yeah, But I don't know.
- 22:48Speaker 1: I haven't seen many Deloreans for sale lately, so that's
- 22:51Speaker 1: going to be a challenge. But this is something that
- 22:54Speaker 1: was easy a club easily predicted. We talked about it,
- 22:57Speaker 1: we harped on it at the draft with all the
- 22:59Speaker 1: running backs that were like, Alie, it's got to be
- 23:01Speaker 1: something you can do here. This is not a position
- 23:05Speaker 1: where you age gracefully and they are dependent on older
- 23:09Speaker 1: running backs.
- 23:09Speaker 2: That is not ideal.
- 23:11Speaker 1: So tough loss for the Dallas Cowboys, big win for
- 23:14Speaker 1: the Niners. They climb back to four and four, and
- 23:21Speaker 1: we're going to cruise to Detroit, which I don't know
- 23:23Speaker 1: if that's ever been done before. We're gonna go to
- 23:25Speaker 1: Detroit where the Lions absolutely beat the stuffing out of
- 23:30Speaker 1: the Tennessee Titans. I mean, I'm sure this is the
- 23:33Speaker 1: question that's going to be asked on every talk show.
- 23:35Speaker 1: I don't want to go there because it's pretty silly,
- 23:37Speaker 1: but I mean, I know they've got one loss, but
- 23:40Speaker 1: how do this How do you say this isn't the
- 23:42Speaker 1: best team in the NFL based off what the Lions
- 23:44Speaker 1: look like right now?
- 23:45Speaker 2: Buck, I'll give you that one first.
- 23:48Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 23:48Speaker 5: No, what's interesting is listening to Dan Campbell's comments after
- 23:51Speaker 5: the game, where we talked about, hey, guys, those are
- 23:53Speaker 5: great performance, but we know we didn't play our best,
- 23:56Speaker 5: and so the good thing is we can improve without
- 23:58Speaker 5: playing our best.
- 24:00Speaker 4: Look at the Lions. The Lions don't have a glenaring weakness.
- 24:02Speaker 5: We can talk about the pass rush without eight and
- 24:04Speaker 5: Hudgson and do they have enough to comple it together?
- 24:06Speaker 5: But when you look at the entire roster, offensive line
- 24:10Speaker 5: is rock solid, playmakers, good lower on the perimeter of
- 24:13Speaker 5: the passing game.
- 24:14Speaker 4: Quarterback is the franchise quarterback.
- 24:16Speaker 5: Defensively, yes, eight hutsons in a shell, but you got
- 24:18Speaker 5: a bunch of hard working, blue collar guys on the
- 24:20Speaker 5: front line.
- 24:21Speaker 4: Secondary, you've upgraded. I mean, they have it all.
- 24:24Speaker 5: And then when you go to the kicking game where
- 24:26Speaker 5: a lot of people don't pay attention, they really improve
- 24:29Speaker 5: that and become explosive in dead area. They check off
- 24:32Speaker 5: the boxes in every category when it comes to being
- 24:35Speaker 5: the championship.
- 24:36Speaker 3: Team, way do they great point and just doing a
- 24:41Speaker 3: little quick tabulation on this front, Kire golf has thrown
- 24:48Speaker 3: it was just a three six seven. We're talking about
- 24:51Speaker 3: thirteen incompletions in the last four games. And answer you
- 24:55Speaker 3: Anthony Richardson at twenty two in this one game for
- 24:58Speaker 3: the Colts, which I know we'll get to in just
- 25:00Speaker 3: a little bit, but golf has been so and the
- 25:02Speaker 3: fact that he threw for eighty five yards in this
- 25:04Speaker 3: game and they won by what if thirty five plus
- 25:07Speaker 3: points is incredible. Now you talked about defense offense, We
- 25:11Speaker 3: talked about that a lot here with with the Detroit
- 25:13Speaker 3: Lions on both sides of the ball, with the third
- 25:15Speaker 3: side of the ball showed up in a big way
- 25:17Speaker 3: for the Lions. Here Khalif Raymond a little bit of
- 25:19Speaker 3: a revenge game. Former Tennessee Titan has probably the best
- 25:22Speaker 3: punt return game we've seen from any player this season.
- 25:26Speaker 3: Should have had two long punt return touchdowns, ends up
- 25:29Speaker 3: with this ninety yard er on your screen right now,
- 25:31Speaker 3: and then comes back and has the next score on
- 25:33Speaker 3: offense for the Lions. Like I mean, when this dude
- 25:37Speaker 3: is impacting the game that way, combined with all the
- 25:40Speaker 3: other top tier talent that they have.
- 25:42Speaker 6: Yes, DJ, the Lions are the best team in football.
- 25:47Speaker 1: I'm gonna give you the ab c's and I'll go
- 25:49Speaker 1: to D the level D on the Lions here because
- 25:52Speaker 1: this is what it is when you watch them. They
- 25:54Speaker 1: are aggressive, they are balanced, they are creative, and they
- 25:57Speaker 1: are dynamic. That is ABC and it's every single week
- 26:02Speaker 1: where you see all facets of that approach and I
- 26:05Speaker 1: don't know that any other team has that. I know
- 26:07Speaker 1: the Chiefs are undefeated. A Chiefs defense is no joke.
- 26:10Speaker 1: They're outstanding. You're starting to see Mahomes kind of get
- 26:13Speaker 1: a little bit more going with the passing game. But
- 26:14Speaker 1: they are not as dynamic. They are not as explosive
- 26:17Speaker 1: as the Detroit Lions are. And the Detroit Lions, I
- 26:19Speaker 1: think are better up front along the offensive line. So
- 26:22Speaker 1: when we're looking at you know, big picture and what
- 26:25Speaker 1: could be a showdown looming, a Super Bowl showdown looming
- 26:28Speaker 1: based off.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Just the eye test.
- 26:30Speaker 1: And I'm reluctant to say it because anytime I ever say,
- 26:34Speaker 1: you know, somebody looks better than the Chiefs, the Chiefs
- 26:36Speaker 1: inevitably going to go on and win the Super Bowl
- 26:37Speaker 1: and they should still be that favorite. But just who's
- 26:40Speaker 1: who's the most impressive right now? I would say the
- 26:42Speaker 1: Detroit Lions buck have been. You know, they've been the
- 26:45Speaker 1: NFL's most impressive team.
- 26:48Speaker 5: I mean they're impressive because you know, it's funny were
- 26:51Speaker 5: talking about the Cowboys in the previous segment.
- 26:53Speaker 4: And they don't have an identity, like based.
- 26:56Speaker 5: On their formula for success doesn't really matter the personnel
- 26:59Speaker 5: than those things.
- 27:00Speaker 4: Detroit.
- 27:00Speaker 5: I feel like Detroit their roster matches the grit and
- 27:04Speaker 5: the toughness of the city, which has been touted by
- 27:07Speaker 5: Dan Campbell and Bray Holmes. They have really built this
- 27:10Speaker 5: team in the image of the city and they're going
- 27:12Speaker 5: to blue collar people to sleep and their physicality, their toughness, the.
- 27:17Speaker 4: Way they can overwhelm you with forsa finess. They have
- 27:20Speaker 4: a roster.
- 27:21Speaker 5: Man, if we were playing a video game, this is
- 27:22Speaker 5: a team that I would pick up the sticks and play.
- 27:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:26Speaker 1: No, it's impressive there what they accomplished. We didn't spend
- 27:29Speaker 1: much time talking about the Tennessee Titans, but at one
- 27:30Speaker 1: and six they didn't earn it to be honest with you,
- 27:33Speaker 1: they didn't earn the discussion time there on what.
- 27:35Speaker 2: Was rolled wrong with them.
- 27:36Speaker 1: They get a long ways to go, and I think
- 27:37Speaker 1: you'll continue to see them sell off pieces and try
- 27:40Speaker 1: and work towards the future.
- 27:41Speaker 2: There buck your game, green Bay Jacksonville.
- 27:47Speaker 4: You know, like, here's the thing. I'm gonna take the
- 27:50Speaker 4: Green Bay part of it.
- 27:51Speaker 5: DJ coaching matters, And it is amazing to watch Malie
- 27:55Speaker 5: Willis play for the Green Bay Packers after watching him
- 27:58Speaker 5: play for a couple of years in Tennessee. Jordan Love
- 28:01Speaker 5: gets heart, goes out, Malie Willis comes in, and their
- 28:04Speaker 5: offense explodes.
- 28:06Speaker 4: Run game, Josh Jacobs put it.
- 28:08Speaker 5: On the bag, made a couple of plays, but then
- 28:11Speaker 5: it was Malik making plays, you know, being able to
- 28:15Speaker 5: kind of connect on a few throws and showcasing his
- 28:18Speaker 5: running ability and scrambling and all of that.
- 28:21Speaker 4: His confidence is completely intact. And this version of Elie
- 28:25Speaker 4: Willis looks like the.
- 28:26Speaker 5: Version that people were trying to project when he was
- 28:29Speaker 5: in the draft and they were talking about him being
- 28:30Speaker 5: a first round pick.
- 28:34Speaker 6: Man.
- 28:35Speaker 3: Yeah, for Green Bay, that's quite a luxury to have.
- 28:38Speaker 3: As I know, they're thankful that Jordan Love seems to
- 28:41Speaker 3: have escaped a big injury with the groin. I kind
- 28:45Speaker 3: of thought it was the knee the way he was
- 28:46Speaker 3: moving around on that thing earlier coming back to haunt
- 28:49Speaker 3: him a little bit. But yeah, I mean Josh Jacobs
- 28:51Speaker 3: goes for one hundred and twenty seven yards certainly helps
- 28:54Speaker 3: Malik Willis's cause there in the second half utilized craft again.
- 28:57Speaker 6: Those young receivers continue to show.
- 29:00Speaker 3: Up and then look on the on the flip side
- 29:02Speaker 3: for the Jaguars, man, it just took took too long
- 29:05Speaker 3: to get rolling in this one, it felt like. And
- 29:08Speaker 3: now they they're dealing with, you know, more injuries, right,
- 29:10Speaker 3: Brian Thomas Junior went out of the game, so you know,
- 29:14Speaker 3: you as him and Kirk whoa Now, yeah, Christian Kirk
- 29:17Speaker 3: obviously with what looked like, you know, a shoulder collar
- 29:20Speaker 3: bone of some sort. Man, that's gosh, you're just losing
- 29:24Speaker 3: targets here for a team that can't afford to DJ.
- 29:27Speaker 1: Yeah, and there goes also a trade chip too, if
- 29:30Speaker 1: you were, you know, entertaining the thought of potentially trading
- 29:33Speaker 1: Christian Kirk, that's out the window once he's done the shelf. Now,
- 29:35Speaker 1: so I hate to see that for him. Look, Green Bay,
- 29:39Speaker 1: there's still some flaws there, but I'm telling you they
- 29:41Speaker 1: are young on defense and they fly around. They're fun
- 29:44Speaker 1: to watch. Just how much speed they've collected on that
- 29:46Speaker 1: side of the ball. Eddrin Cooper, we talked about him
- 29:48Speaker 1: last week. He continues to make her splash plays. He
- 29:51Speaker 1: is a good player. He's going to be fun to watch,
- 29:53Speaker 1: a big a big piece of their defense. So big
- 29:56Speaker 1: win there for the Green Bay Packers. From the game
- 29:58Speaker 1: Bucky was at to the game, I wo is that
- 30:00Speaker 1: Saints Chargers. Look, the Saints are not good. Shuffled quarterbacks around.
- 30:05Speaker 1: Jake Haner got in there and made some plays and
- 30:08Speaker 1: some throws late.
- 30:08Speaker 2: Chris o'lave.
- 30:09Speaker 1: If we're gonna say trade targets, and I don't think
- 30:12Speaker 1: they will trade Chris Alabbe, but if you're looking at
- 30:14Speaker 1: the receivers, the names that have at least been mentioned,
- 30:17Speaker 1: and seeing him live and in person, that'd be the
- 30:19Speaker 1: top of my list.
- 30:19Speaker 2: I would flip a two for Chris Olave all day.
- 30:23Speaker 2: I would happily part with.
- 30:25Speaker 1: The second round pick for him, and especially looking at
- 30:27Speaker 1: the draft up ahead. I haven't got deep into it yet,
- 30:30Speaker 1: but talking to a lot of folks not as top
- 30:32Speaker 1: end heavy at the wide receiver position, so give even
- 30:35Speaker 1: more reason if you're looking for a weapon. Chris Alave
- 30:37Speaker 1: could be one of those guys, but only eight points
- 30:40Speaker 1: two of those on a safety on a bad punt snap.
- 30:43Speaker 1: So Chargers defense is number one scoring defense in the NFL.
- 30:46Speaker 1: That number is going to go down after what they
- 30:48Speaker 1: held the Saints too in this game. Rock solid on
- 30:51Speaker 1: that side of the ball. But the big takeaway from
- 30:52Speaker 1: me rhtt is, you know this is a team that,
- 30:55Speaker 1: even though they haven't run it effectively, always felt like, man,
- 30:58Speaker 1: if you're going to commit to the run as much
- 30:59Speaker 1: as they do and run it as much as they do,
- 31:01Speaker 1: you have to pay that off with some chunk plays
- 31:04Speaker 1: down the field. And whether they were successful running the
- 31:06Speaker 1: ball or not, they hadn't been able to get big
- 31:09Speaker 1: explosive plays, and they did in this game. Lad McConkie
- 31:12Speaker 1: had one hundred yard game. He got vertical down the field.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Josh Palmer got vertical down the field. Even Jalen Rager
- 31:18Speaker 1: made the best catch of his NFL career on a
- 31:20Speaker 1: deep ball down the field, and it was like, okay,
- 31:23Speaker 1: you can see the vision. I know the Saints stink
- 31:26Speaker 1: on defense too, So I don't want to get it
- 31:27Speaker 1: carried away here, but this is the vision of what
- 31:29Speaker 1: it looks like is be able to pay off these
- 31:31Speaker 1: runs ret and be able to capitalize with some chunk plays.
- 31:35Speaker 3: Yeah when you go through and you're looking at McConkie,
- 31:38Speaker 3: you know, had the sixty yard er right, Palmer with
- 31:40Speaker 3: the forty five yard or even if the recept even
- 31:42Speaker 3: if like the volume right isn't up there. In terms
- 31:45Speaker 3: of you know, completions and receptions from a lot of
- 31:47Speaker 3: these guys, that's it. They're meaningful and they're impactful, and
- 31:49Speaker 3: I think that's what we saw with McConkie. You know,
- 31:51Speaker 3: I was super happy to see him get this career
- 31:54Speaker 3: game right. Six catches on, six targets and two tuddies too.
- 31:57Speaker 3: You know, just a big time performance for a guy
- 32:00Speaker 3: that you know, was one of our favorites on path
- 32:01Speaker 3: to the draft coming out this year and has really
- 32:04Speaker 3: started to kind of come into his own here now
- 32:05Speaker 3: that some of that injury stuff is behind it.
- 32:09Speaker 4: Yeah, really big performance for lad mccocky. But I think
- 32:12Speaker 4: this is it.
- 32:12Speaker 5: We talked about it with the Browns run game, vertical
- 32:15Speaker 5: passing game, strong run game.
- 32:18Speaker 4: Got to take it down to field with Justin Herbert.
- 32:21Speaker 5: You can see he has the arm talentent to really
- 32:23Speaker 5: fit into this type of system. It's a matter do
- 32:25Speaker 5: they have enough playmakers, but the playmakers are minimized because
- 32:28Speaker 5: the running games affectiveness. Ors's defense is to play one
- 32:32Speaker 5: on one. That's why you're seeing these teams take advantage
- 32:34Speaker 5: of it. When you got ring game, good quarterback, vertical passing.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Game, yeah, no question there, big win the Chargers again.
- 32:41Speaker 1: The schedule sets up for them. They go to Cleveland
- 32:43Speaker 1: this week, so those two vertical passing games. But he's
- 32:45Speaker 1: talking about we'll see them both on display. Looking forward
- 32:49Speaker 1: to being out there.
- 32:49Speaker 3: Go ahead, right, I mean, we're not going to shout
- 32:52Speaker 3: out Matt Locke for a sack interception in this game.
- 32:54Speaker 2: I know, and a reception? How about that?
- 32:56Speaker 4: Well?
- 32:57Speaker 1: I told Harba, I told coach Harpall a couple of
- 32:59Speaker 1: weeks ago that he's sponsible for every scout uh being
- 33:02Speaker 1: responsible for working out defensive tackles as fullbacks at every
- 33:05Speaker 1: pro day from here.
- 33:06Speaker 2: To the time.
- 33:08Speaker 6: Good luck.
- 33:08Speaker 1: That's a little later flight, thanks, get a little later
- 33:11Speaker 1: flight after those pro days, you guys spend a little
- 33:14Speaker 1: extra time in those D line and see if they
- 33:15Speaker 1: can catch h Buck. Atlanta Tampa Bay. This is a division,
- 33:21Speaker 1: is kind of a funky division. But it's a big
- 33:23Speaker 1: win here for the Atlanta Falcons as they get to
- 33:25Speaker 1: five and three the Bucks they fall to four and
- 33:28Speaker 1: four in a game where they didn't have any of
- 33:29Speaker 1: their receivers.
- 33:31Speaker 5: Well more importantly, they break out the broom like if
- 33:34Speaker 5: you're able to get get get them up out of here.
- 33:37Speaker 5: And so Nattie went to sweep. You're talking about being
- 33:39Speaker 5: able to win to tabreak and all those things.
- 33:41Speaker 4: Uh.
- 33:41Speaker 5: The Atlanta Falcons are funny because they really rally behind kirku.
- 33:45Speaker 5: Kirk Cousins has them going. He's been hot, he's playing
- 33:49Speaker 5: well for them. This is kind of what Raheem Morris
- 33:52Speaker 5: and those guys were hoping for when they made the
- 33:54Speaker 5: move to give Kirk Cousins the bag to be their
- 33:57Speaker 5: starting quarterback.
- 34:00Speaker 6: Man. Can they play Todd Bowles's defense every week?
- 34:04Speaker 4: Shoot?
- 34:04Speaker 6: I mean they're gonna close.
- 34:05Speaker 3: They started this month with just an absolute gem of
- 34:09Speaker 3: a performance on a Thursday night, and they're going to
- 34:12Speaker 3: end this month with a sweep of the Bucks. And like,
- 34:14Speaker 3: think about how much this game means he Yeah, it
- 34:16Speaker 3: was great to see Kyle Pitts make two touchdown grabs
- 34:18Speaker 3: right and get into the end zone a couple of
- 34:20Speaker 3: times from Kirk, who was on fire in this game.
- 34:23Speaker 3: How I mean like they have now swept the team
- 34:25Speaker 3: that is by far the most viable contender to challenge them.
- 34:29Speaker 6: At the top of the division.
- 34:30Speaker 3: So if it's even remotely close coming down to it,
- 34:33Speaker 3: the Falcons own that the important tie breakers in this thing.
- 34:37Speaker 3: So I think this game was was huge for Kirk
- 34:40Speaker 3: Cousins and the Falcons. And then look, I think for
- 34:42Speaker 3: Baker and the Bucks, some real fight there. To be
- 34:45Speaker 3: without god Win, to be without Mike Evans, I think
- 34:48Speaker 3: you saw a bona fide weapon emerging. Kate otten right
- 34:51Speaker 3: two touchdowns in this game, caught nine of ten targets
- 34:54Speaker 3: and went for Dan near one hundred yards. It's happened
- 34:57Speaker 3: to be National tight end Day. So showed up in
- 34:58Speaker 3: a big way. And I think that something that you
- 35:00Speaker 3: can build on as you move forward here if you're
- 35:03Speaker 3: the Bucks and hopefully you get Chris, you get Mike
- 35:05Speaker 3: Evans back here soon.
- 35:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Again, huge for the Atlanta Falcons to be able to
- 35:11Speaker 1: pick up both those wins against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,
- 35:14Speaker 1: and I.
- 35:15Speaker 2: Think this the NFC is better than the AFC. I
- 35:18Speaker 2: think that the field is loaded.
- 35:19Speaker 1: I don't know how much confidence I have the Falcons
- 35:21Speaker 1: to get in the tournament and do a lot of
- 35:22Speaker 1: damage and won a bunch of ball games. But when
- 35:25Speaker 1: you're trying with a new setup, you've got a young
- 35:28Speaker 1: coaching staff here, you want to see, you know, some
- 35:30Speaker 1: good steps be taken. Man, they're in a great position
- 35:32Speaker 1: to go ahead and compete to win this thing. So
- 35:35Speaker 1: win the division and then kind of lift off from there,
- 35:38Speaker 1: and nobody's talking about, you know, Pennix Kirk Cousins and
- 35:41Speaker 1: did you pay Kirk too much? Did you draft Penix
- 35:43Speaker 1: when you shouldn't have? You win the division and everything's great.
- 35:47Speaker 1: So they're a very good spot there, very good spot there,
- 35:51Speaker 1: no question. All right, let's get to the AFC East
- 35:58Speaker 1: here with Man, there's a lot of different ways we
- 36:03Speaker 1: can go on this one. The Jets go to New
- 36:07Speaker 1: England and lose. They fall to two and six. Drake May,
- 36:10Speaker 1: who was playing well before getting hurt, he goes out.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Jacoby Brissette comes in and leads a comeback there for
- 36:16Speaker 1: the New England Patriots. Buck, This is a I mean,
- 36:19Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't know how much this provides
- 36:21Speaker 1: for New England. I guess it lessens a little bit
- 36:24Speaker 1: of the outside criticism, some of the friendly fire, the
- 36:26Speaker 1: Bill Belichick friendly fire maybe ceases to exist for a
- 36:30Speaker 1: week here, but man devastating from from a Jets standpoint, Yeah, look,
- 36:38Speaker 1: it's over so gay.
- 36:41Speaker 4: To quarterback everything you wanted, and they've gotten worse.
- 36:44Speaker 5: If I had a coach and everything, and they're just
- 36:46Speaker 5: in a free for all, and I just don't know
- 36:48Speaker 5: how you fix them.
- 36:50Speaker 4: You know, you bring her Son Reddick back.
- 36:52Speaker 5: I mean, like you're trying to do everything and you
- 36:55Speaker 5: still can't get it going.
- 36:56Speaker 4: And the crazy thing.
- 36:57Speaker 5: Is this office is as bad, if not worse in
- 37:01Speaker 5: the office when Zach Wilson was running it. I mean
- 37:05Speaker 5: did not sco at any points, no explosive plays.
- 37:08Speaker 4: It's just a hodgepodge of nothingness.
- 37:11Speaker 5: And they're gonna have a tough time like continue defeated
- 37:14Speaker 5: because you knew that the Patriots. If the Patriots can
- 37:17Speaker 5: stymy them, anybody's gonna stymy them going forward.
- 37:20Speaker 4: They're just not explosive enough to be able to wing games.
- 37:23Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean listening to Aaron Rodgers, you know, after
- 37:26Speaker 3: the game talk about you know, it's fundamentals like.
- 37:32Speaker 6: Week eight talking about you know, we're talking about fundamentals.
- 37:35Speaker 3: We're talking about he's talking about play calls coming into
- 37:38Speaker 3: the sidelines, so about not getting out of huddle quick enough, talking.
- 37:40Speaker 6: About substitution errors. No, I guess that's part. I guess
- 37:44Speaker 6: that's part of it.
- 37:45Speaker 3: You know, when you're changing staff, right, and you're changing
- 37:49Speaker 3: you know, responsibilities within the staff, and you do have
- 37:52Speaker 3: some moving pieces. But I mean this that is discovered. First,
- 37:56Speaker 3: it was last week. It was not having the juice,
- 37:58Speaker 3: not having the energy, didn't feel like it were up
- 38:00Speaker 3: of the game. Now we're talking about you know what
- 38:02Speaker 3: sounds like fairly rudimentary stuff, you know, day one stuff, right,
- 38:05Speaker 3: Personnel groupings, you're talking about, you know, operation with play
- 38:09Speaker 3: calls and getting out of the huddle. I mean, I'm
- 38:11Speaker 3: wondering here, and I know the answer is no, because
- 38:14Speaker 3: they play New York and Aaron Rodgers is there and
- 38:17Speaker 3: there's always going to be a microphone.
- 38:18Speaker 6: But it's at this point do the Jets just kind
- 38:21Speaker 6: of fade off into the ether here? I mean, at
- 38:25Speaker 6: some point they.
- 38:27Speaker 5: Have to why we're gonna keep putting the more TV,
- 38:30Speaker 5: the on every prime chide.
- 38:31Speaker 4: Like what, huh, we don't need to keep seeing this product.
- 38:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know.
- 38:39Speaker 1: Look, my thing is just it's just different. And I
- 38:43Speaker 1: know people appreciate the honesty. And there's no other quarterback
- 38:47Speaker 1: that has the platform that Aaron has on a weekly basis.
- 38:51Speaker 1: I just it's so odd to me not to just
- 38:54Speaker 1: see the quarterback just own everything. You own everything. I
- 38:57Speaker 1: just everybody, every quarterback that I've ever seen or been around,
- 39:01Speaker 1: or it'd be great quarterback that you've ever followed, fuck
- 39:05Speaker 1: have you.
- 39:05Speaker 2: I don't remember that, at least publicly.
- 39:08Speaker 1: I mean, it's one thing if you're in a meeting
- 39:09Speaker 1: and like, hey on details, like coaches, we got to
- 39:12Speaker 1: get plays in on time, you know, we got to
- 39:14Speaker 1: we got to be where we need to be. We're
- 39:16Speaker 1: lining up wrong, just simple stuff that can't happen. And
- 39:19Speaker 1: then even in that setting, the players will take you know,
- 39:21Speaker 1: the quarterback will take responsibility. And I've done this, this
- 39:24Speaker 1: and this, and you know what, I'm sick of the
- 39:26Speaker 1: way I'm playing and I'm going to be better. But
- 39:28Speaker 1: I've just never seen it where the quarterback publicly doesn't
- 39:32Speaker 1: take one hundred percent ownership. Fuck am I am? I
- 39:36Speaker 1: remembering incorrectly here. You played with some Hall of Fame quarterbacks.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Now do you remember that.
- 39:42Speaker 5: DJ the quarterback owns everything publicly. Privately he lays into everybody,
- 39:46Speaker 5: But publicly, hey.
- 39:47Speaker 4: Man, that's on me. I can do a better job. Yeada, YadA, YadA.
- 39:51Speaker 5: But but passing blame and doing that thing, it doesn't work.
- 39:54Speaker 5: But I'm telling you, man, under pressure, your true colors
- 39:58Speaker 5: come out.
- 39:58Speaker 4: The leadership or lack the shows up.
- 40:01Speaker 5: And he has not been a good leader during this
- 40:03Speaker 5: crisis that the Jets are in the midst of.
- 40:07Speaker 1: It feels to me just like someone who's getting to
- 40:09Speaker 1: the end of his career and is not coming to
- 40:11Speaker 1: grips with it, you know what I mean.
- 40:15Speaker 2: And defensively they're not as good.
- 40:16Speaker 1: My theory on the defense, and then we'll move on
- 40:18Speaker 1: the last thought here, But my theory on the defense
- 40:21Speaker 1: is they had the feeling of we have to be
- 40:25Speaker 1: so dialed in and so locked in and so perfect,
- 40:29Speaker 1: like you can't exhale. That's the way they've played defense
- 40:31Speaker 1: the last few years, and they've been excellent at it,
- 40:33Speaker 1: and they've known what the bar was for them to
- 40:37Speaker 1: keep their team in football games, and they and they delivered,
- 40:40Speaker 1: And I honestly think, and it's probably just subconscious, but Okay,
- 40:44Speaker 1: we've got a Hall of Fame quarterback. Now he's got
- 40:46Speaker 1: all these MVPs, Like, we can exhale a little bit.
- 40:50Speaker 1: We don't have to be so locked in because it's
- 40:53Speaker 1: exhausting to be locked in to play at a high
- 40:56Speaker 1: level like that every week. And I think they kind
- 40:58Speaker 1: of lost a little bit of their edge. And oh,
- 41:00Speaker 1: by the way, they're not getting it what they thought
- 41:03Speaker 1: they were going to get from the offense. So now
- 41:05Speaker 1: you've got an offense it's still as bad as it's
- 41:07Speaker 1: really been, and you've got a defense that, under the
- 41:10Speaker 1: assumption they wouldn't have to do everything, is not as
- 41:12Speaker 1: good as they used to be. So long story longer,
- 41:16Speaker 1: it's a it's a mess. It's a mess there, Yeah, yeah,
- 41:22Speaker 1: all right, Arizona in Miami. I was excited to see
- 41:27Speaker 1: the cutups in this game of Marvin Harrison Junior having
- 41:31Speaker 1: a big game as they beat the Miami dolfense.
- 41:34Speaker 6: Buck.
- 41:35Speaker 1: I'll get to you on that one first, but it
- 41:36Speaker 1: was nice seeing Marvin Harrison on runaway routes like, he's
- 41:40Speaker 1: not a curl comeback, work back to the quarterback, route runner.
- 41:43Speaker 1: That's not who he is. He is an on the
- 41:46Speaker 1: move guy. He is overs, he is slants, he is digs.
- 41:50Speaker 1: It's run after catch like that's what he is. Everything's
- 41:54Speaker 1: on the move, and he's a great player. It's it's
- 41:57Speaker 1: that's why. It was just kind of baffling to me
- 41:58Speaker 1: how they were deploying them over the last few weeks.
- 42:01Speaker 1: And lo and behold they get him on the movie
- 42:03Speaker 1: as a big day and they go on a ball game.
- 42:07Speaker 5: Yeah, kind of crazy how that is, right, Like, they
- 42:09Speaker 5: get him on the move, they treat him and put
- 42:11Speaker 5: him in the right situation and allow him to have success.
- 42:14Speaker 5: And well, look, we talked about it because on paths
- 42:17Speaker 5: to the draft, we frequently talk about operating instructions. Sometimes
- 42:21Speaker 5: it takes teams a little bit to figure out how
- 42:25Speaker 5: to operate their top picks. And I'm just glad that
- 42:28Speaker 5: the Cardinals figured it out. This is a talented player,
- 42:31Speaker 5: is a big body player, a number one receiver, and
- 42:33Speaker 5: they got him the ball and you saw the impact
- 42:35Speaker 5: that he had on the game.
- 42:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I thought that was obviously important for the Cardinals.
- 42:42Speaker 4: Trade.
- 42:42Speaker 3: McBride obviously went off as well with a massive day.
- 42:45Speaker 3: Those two guys. Man, that could be fun to watch
- 42:49Speaker 3: for the next few years with Kyler Murray and company
- 42:51Speaker 3: and where they can most of the time get that
- 42:53Speaker 3: run game going.
- 42:55Speaker 6: The other piece of it is obviously to a tungo by.
- 42:56Speaker 3: Lowe's return, right, And I think you saw that not
- 43:00Speaker 3: only did that unlock some things in what they wanted
- 43:04Speaker 3: to do to get Tyreek kill the football and that
- 43:06Speaker 3: the run game was back or the Miami Dolphins.
- 43:10Speaker 6: And I think that was such a big deal.
- 43:12Speaker 3: And obviously the impact of having Tua back having to
- 43:15Speaker 3: make some of those decisions, having the threat of what
- 43:17Speaker 3: he can do through the air, it really unlocked Devin
- 43:20Speaker 3: h Devon h Chan who went for ninety seven yards
- 43:23Speaker 3: in this one, caught a bunch of balls too, and
- 43:25Speaker 3: then Moster gets into the end zone. Couple like that's
- 43:28Speaker 3: starting to get more like it.
- 43:30Speaker 6: You know, do they have enough time?
- 43:31Speaker 2: Right?
- 43:32Speaker 3: Do the Dolphins have enough time to make up what
- 43:34Speaker 3: they lost over the course of the last month or
- 43:36Speaker 3: so with two out so certainly good to see. I
- 43:39Speaker 3: think they're going to start kind of making their way
- 43:42Speaker 3: back on that positive trend.
- 43:43Speaker 4: Line here.
- 43:45Speaker 1: Yeah, no, it definitely looked different in a good way
- 43:48Speaker 1: for the Miami Dolphins offensively. RTT go back to you
- 43:52Speaker 1: on this one, Indy Houston, and there we can hit
- 43:55Speaker 1: the Anthony Richardson thing if you want to start there
- 43:58Speaker 1: where they go moving forward. They're a four and four
- 44:00Speaker 1: team right now, Houston six and two, not playing their
- 44:02Speaker 1: best football, but finding ways to win ball games.
- 44:05Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 44:06Speaker 3: I mean, if you're the the Bears, maybe you maybe
- 44:08Speaker 3: you take a page out of the Texans playbook on
- 44:11Speaker 3: the hail Mary attempt at the end, right, they put
- 44:14Speaker 3: the three defensive linemen left of the center to force
- 44:17Speaker 3: Anthony Richardson out to his left because they didn't want
- 44:19Speaker 3: him throw him right. And then they bring a guy
- 44:22Speaker 3: essentially kind of trapped him right, and then they bring
- 44:24Speaker 3: one of the three loop him all the way around.
- 44:26Speaker 3: There was nowhere to go. He didn't even get to
- 44:28Speaker 3: throw off, and the game was over. Ball came out
- 44:30Speaker 3: Will Anderson jumps on it. And that's a way to
- 44:33Speaker 3: prevent the Tyreek Stevenson piece of the play all the
- 44:35Speaker 3: way down the field right, just sack the dang guy
- 44:38Speaker 3: before he even gets the ball off. So you know
- 44:41Speaker 3: that's something and look, I mean the Texans formula is clear.
- 44:43Speaker 3: It's Joe Mixon, Stefan Diggs goes down in this game,
- 44:46Speaker 3: waiting to see what happens there. That's tough because Nico
- 44:49Speaker 3: Collins is out, has been out. Hopefully he's on the
- 44:52Speaker 3: way back.
- 44:53Speaker 6: I mean.
- 44:55Speaker 3: Anthony Richardson thing now, I mean there's a there's GFF
- 45:01Speaker 3: has a stat right, the adjusted completion percentage, because right
- 45:04Speaker 3: now the regular one is bad. Right, it's thirty two percent,
- 45:07Speaker 3: ten out of thirty two on the day. The adjusted
- 45:10Speaker 3: completion percentage, which accounts for overthrows, tips, you know, throw
- 45:13Speaker 3: not overthrows, throwaways, tips, drops, but it's only forty four percent.
- 45:18Speaker 3: It did not get that much better. So that is
- 45:21Speaker 3: still horribly short of winning football. And Sintsteiken said today
- 45:25Speaker 3: when asked if they were evaluating Anthony Richardson, they're evaluating everything,
- 45:29Speaker 3: which is kind of like the non answer answer.
- 45:32Speaker 2: Well, that tells you start next week, is what that
- 45:35Speaker 2: tells you?
- 45:35Speaker 6: Right, what tells you?
- 45:36Speaker 1: Okay, I've never I've never said we're gonna take a
- 45:39Speaker 1: tap look at this, and it's ended up being, you
- 45:41Speaker 1: know what, much better than we thought, much better than
- 45:43Speaker 1: we thought.
- 45:44Speaker 2: That's not usually how that works.
- 45:46Speaker 6: And then the tap out thing, I don't buck.
- 45:48Speaker 4: I don't know them well man, like you can't just
- 45:52Speaker 4: don't know.
- 45:52Speaker 5: There's certain things that quarterbacks can't do. The quarterback can
- 45:56Speaker 5: that willingly take himself.
- 45:58Speaker 2: I've never seen it before, never seen one.
- 46:00Speaker 5: But this isn't not high school at any level, not
- 46:05Speaker 5: even in high school.
- 46:05Speaker 4: When you're the starting quarterback, you're staying the game.
- 46:09Speaker 5: You call a different play, call a running play, call
- 46:11Speaker 5: something that's not you run it truck, don't. The quarterback
- 46:15Speaker 5: does not tap himself out like that is the craziest
- 46:19Speaker 5: thing that I've ever seen it. Now, I'll say this
- 46:21Speaker 5: because I wrote a thing in the notebook about and
- 46:23Speaker 5: they need to send Anthony Richardson down for his own good.
- 46:27Speaker 5: He's dead last in completion percentage, passer rating, all of
- 46:32Speaker 5: these things. And if you're going to develop him, there's
- 46:36Speaker 5: nothing wrong with having.
- 46:37Speaker 4: Him sit down for a year or two, let him
- 46:39Speaker 4: develop on the practice fuel.
- 46:41Speaker 5: But this team, as a head coach, you owt to
- 46:44Speaker 5: your team to give them the best chance to win.
- 46:47Speaker 5: He is not the best quarterback on their roster. They
- 46:49Speaker 5: need to put Joe Flecco in continue to develop him.
- 46:52Speaker 5: And maybe he turns out. But what you can't do
- 46:55Speaker 5: is let Anthony Richardson be the albatross that holds the
- 46:59Speaker 5: coach back and do that.
- 47:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I.
- 47:04Speaker 3: Mean you take him off the field like the guy
- 47:06Speaker 3: hadn't played five games in a row.
- 47:08Speaker 2: You know.
- 47:08Speaker 3: I just I don't know how he's gonna get any better.
- 47:12Speaker 3: And yeah, but it's clear I agree with you. It's
- 47:14Speaker 3: clearly Joe Flaham, like, that's the answer.
- 47:18Speaker 2: I was just thinking of it.
- 47:20Speaker 1: Okay, say that you're just so exhausted, like I can't
- 47:24Speaker 1: I can't catch my breath enough to literally take a snap.
- 47:28Speaker 1: I was like, if you gave it a multiple choice,
- 47:30Speaker 1: no multiple choice, multiple choice options here, buck, you're ready.
- 47:34Speaker 1: Number one, you just flat out call a timeout and
- 47:36Speaker 1: you come over to the coach and say about I
- 47:38Speaker 1: can't catch my breath. I had to call timeout. That's
- 47:40Speaker 1: that's a okay, b I pretend that I can't get
- 47:44Speaker 1: the play call on my headset, something's malfunction in my helmet.
- 47:48Speaker 2: I put my I put.
- 47:49Speaker 1: My hand over my ears, and I just go, I
- 47:51Speaker 1: got to call a time out. And you come over
- 47:52Speaker 1: there and sat and I just couldn't understand you. That's
- 47:54Speaker 1: option two, Option three. As Buck said, I'm just going
- 47:58Speaker 1: to change the plays. I'm just calling a running play.
- 48:00Speaker 1: I gotta catch my breath, you know, and apologize to
- 48:02Speaker 1: the coaches later. Option four is you tap out of
- 48:05Speaker 1: a game like there's no no quarterback I've ever heard
- 48:09Speaker 1: of in my life that faced with those choices, would
- 48:12Speaker 1: choose option four.
- 48:13Speaker 6: Option four, Option four hundred.
- 48:15Speaker 4: There's yeah, I appreciate the honesty. I appreciate the honesty,
- 48:20Speaker 4: but that is not sure. That is that is not make.
- 48:24Speaker 1: An injury option. That's another option we can get. We
- 48:27Speaker 1: can keep forever. I thought he was hurt. I thought
- 48:29Speaker 1: he was hurt. I thought he was hurt again. And
- 48:31Speaker 1: then I've seen this man.
- 48:33Speaker 6: Whoa, that's crazy.
- 48:37Speaker 1: Yeah, that was not that was not great. So we'll
- 48:40Speaker 1: see what happens. I anticipated it'll be Jill Flacco there.
- 48:42Speaker 1: I'll be shocked if if it isn't, maybe by the
- 48:44Speaker 1: time you're listening to this or watching this, that is
- 48:45Speaker 1: that is already the case.
- 48:46Speaker 2: Hey, this is a this is a fun show.
- 48:48Speaker 1: We've got a couple of good saucy nugs in there,
- 48:51Speaker 1: raise rets, Indiana Hoosiers, you know, the usual, so as
- 48:53Speaker 1: well as some wild usual.
- 48:55Speaker 2: Yeah, there you go.
- 48:57Speaker 1: All that's gonna do it for. I appreciate you guys hanging.
- 48:59Speaker 1: We'll see you next time. Right here on, move the sticks.
- 49:22Speaker 3: M
