- Lucas: Welcome back to another episode of Learn Norwegian with Fexingo. I am Lucas. Luna: And I am Luna. It is so good to be here again. Lucas: It really is. We have done a lot of work this week. Last time we talked about standing and sitting. Luna: Yes, å stå and å sitte. Those felt very physical. Lucas: They were. But today, we are going back to something even more basic. Our senses. Luna: Oh, right. To see things. And to hear things. Lucas: Exactly. We will look at two verbs: å se and å høre. Luna: Those are the words for see and hear? Lucas: Yes. Let's start with the first one. The verb is å se. Luna: Å se. Okay. I can say that. Lucas: Good. Now, remember how we conjugate in present tense? We drop the å. Luna: Right. So it becomes just se. Lucas: Correct. For me, it is jeg ser. I see. Luna: Jeg ser. Got it. And for you, it is du ser? Lucas: Yes, du ser. You see. And for us, vi ser. We see. Luna: Let me try that sequence. Jeg ser. Du ser. Vi ser. Lucas: Perfect pronunciation. Very clear. Now let's do the same for the second verb. Luna: The hearing one? Lucas: Yes. Å høre. To hear. Luna: Å høre. I like the sound of that. Lucas: It is a soft sound. Drop the å, add the ending. Jeg hører. Luna: Jeg hører. I hear. And for you, du hører? Lucas: Yes, du hører. You hear. And for us, vi hører. We hear. Luna: Okay, let me try the full set. Jeg hører. Du hører. Vi hører. Lucas: Spot on. You are getting these patterns down quickly. Luna: Thanks. It helps when we group them together. Lucas: It does. Let's put them in a simple sentence now. I want to talk about what I see. Luna: Go ahead. Use jeg ser. Lucas: Jeg ser en bil. I see a car. Luna: Nice. Can you use the other one? Jeg hører. Lucas: Jeg hører musikk. I hear music. Luna: That sounds relaxing. What do you hear right now? Lucas: I hear the quiet of the studio. It is nice. Luna: I bet. Okay, let's repeat the core phrases one more time to lock them in. Lucas: We start with seeing. Å se. Jeg ser. Du ser. Vi ser. Luna: Jeg ser. Du ser. Vi ser. It feels natural. Lucas: Now the hearing. Å høre. Jeg hører. Du hører. Vi hører. Luna: Jeg hører. Du hører. Vi hører. I can definitely use these. Lucas: You will. They are everywhere in conversation. Before we go, we have a quick request from Fexingo. Luna: What is it? Lucas: We love keeping this show ad-free for you. Imagine we are walking down a street. Luna: Okay. I look around. Jeg ser mange mennesker. I see many people. Lucas: Great. And listen to the background. Jeg hører lyden av trafikken. I hear the sound of traffic. Luna: Vi ser byen. Vi hører livet. We see the city. We hear life. Lucas: Beautiful. That is exactly how it works. Luna: I feel much more confident using these two verbs now. Lucas: So should you. Practice saying them out loud today. Luna: Jeg ser deg. Jeg hører deg. I see you. I hear you. Lucas: Exactly. See you next time on Learn Norwegian with Fexingo.
