- 0:23injuries. This is Wayne Alan Root, Raw and Unfiltered, but America's favorite
- 0:28conservative rock star, direct from the entertainment capital of the world, Las Vegas.
- 0:34What time is it? It's time war war. Here's your host,
- 0:39one hundred percent raw Truth, one hundred percent American made the Warrior, Wayne
- 0:45Alan Root. Well, here we go. Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome,
- 1:00Welcome, Welcome to the USA Audio Network Raw and on Filter, and welcome
- 1:06to the eighth day of March twenty twenty four, known as the day after
- 1:11the State of the Union address. My name is Lee Elsie. Yes,
- 1:17on Fridays, Wayne takes the first hour to loosen up and get ready and
- 1:22get all fired up to come at you with both barrels. So he'll be
- 1:25here in exactly sixty minutes. Christopher is as always down in Dallas, Texas.
- 1:30He is pushing all the buttons. He is making it all go.
- 1:33If you don't know by now my name is Lee Elsie, you can check
- 1:36out my website Leels dot com. Email me Leelsradio at gmail dot com.
- 1:41Now, I'm sure that Wayne will cover the speech when he gets here after
- 1:46the top of the hour. What I will say about the speech is this.
- 1:49And I know you're not gonna like to hear this, and I've taken
- 1:53a whole bunch of heat for this already on my morning show, but it
- 1:57is what it is. You gotta speak the truth. You got to speak
- 2:02the truth when you get behind the microphone. I think last night, unfortunately,
- 2:09was a win for the Democrats. Now how long can they hold on
- 2:13to this win? Well, that remains to be seen. That is,
- 2:15you know, completely up to bumbling Joe Biden and when he falls down on
- 2:21his tongue the next time he falls down on his tongue, which I can
- 2:24expect and assume will be very very soon, depending upon when his handlers allow
- 2:29him back out. I mean, I'm sure it took a lot out of
- 2:31him to fire him up with B twelve and adrenaline and adderall and whatever the
- 2:36hell they gave him last night to get him through ninety minutes of talking to
- 2:40the American public. But the people who watched last night, who were on
- 2:46the fence. The people who weren't sure about his ability to withstand the pressures
- 2:53of America in the limelight of national TV. Well, they're questions were someone
- 3:00answered last night. Now, listen, I look at him as a frail
- 3:04oh man. I'm sure just about everybody listening to me right now thinks of
- 3:07him as a frail old man who has handlers and handlers of handlers who actually
- 3:15handle the everyday chores of being the President of the United States. Anybody in
- 3:21their right mind, even looking at last night, which was a good performance
- 3:25from him as far as making it to the finish line, they still look
- 3:30at him. Even those of those of you who are in Biden camp,
- 3:35you still see it and you're wincing as you're watching. You're waiting for the
- 3:38collapse. And the colaps didn't come last night. That's why it was a
- 3:43win for the Democrat Party. I know a lot of Republicans don't like to
- 3:46hear that. It doesn't necessarily mean it's gonna have any staying power. I'm
- 3:50just being honest. That's what I saw last night. I saw somebody who
- 3:55I fully expected to trip and fall multiple times. He fell, and he
- 4:00bumbled and he mumbled, as he always does, but not to the extent
- 4:04that we thought he was going to stumble and bumble and mumble. And he
- 4:09had moments where I think America was going to resonate. Now listen what he
- 4:14said. Was it true? No? At best? At best, some
- 4:18of it was half truth. But for the most part, from start to
- 4:23finish, it was one lie after another after another after another. And that
- 4:29leads us to today. And I want to take this opening segment those of
- 4:32you who may have missed the event last night. I want to play some
- 4:36oto you and comment on some of the things that the President of the United
- 4:41States had said last night. I know the cost of housing is so important
- 4:46to you. Inflation keeps coming down, Mortgan Drach'll come down as well,
- 4:50and the Fed acknowledges that. But I'm not waiting. I want to provide
- 4:56an annual tax credit that will give Americans four hundred dollars a month for the
- 5:00next two years as mortgage rates come down to put toward their mortgages when they
- 5:04buy their first home or trade up for a little more space. That's for
- 5:11two years. Aside from being essentially a lie fest or a half truth fest,
- 5:17last night, it was a promise of a giveaway after giveaway after giveaway
- 5:23after giveaway. Once again, Joe Biden amplifying this idea of buying people's votes.
- 5:30And then while there's a flood of illegal aliens coming across the southern border,
- 5:35there is war on two fronts. This person decides to talk about shrink
- 5:43flation. Too many corporations raise prices to pad the profits charge you more and
- 5:49more for less and less. That's our cracking down on corporations and engage in
- 5:55price gallenging interceptor pricing from food to healthcare to housing. In fact, the
- 6:00snack companies think you won't notice if they change the size of the bag and
- 6:05put a hell of a lot fewer Yeah, funny, put fewer chips in
- 6:11it. Yeah No, I'm not joking. No, I'm not a shrink
- 6:14place. Past Bobby Casey's bill and stop this. So here's another example,
- 6:20shining example of someone never wanting to take responsibility for problems that they were a
- 6:29part of. There's nothing that bothers me more than being a hypocrite and not
- 6:34being responsible for things that happen under your watch. Nothing bothers me more than
- 6:39that. That's a coward's way out as far as I'm concerned. Finally,
- 6:43after what forty something minutes, he decides to talk about the border part of
- 6:47the group of senators. The result was a bipartisan bill with the toughest set
- 6:53of border security reforms we've ever seen it. Or you don't think so,
- 6:58No, oh, you don't like that bill. Huh that conservatives got together
- 7:04and said it was a good bill. Such a fault. I'll be darned.
- 7:08That's amazing. Not bipartiers atle but hire one five hundred more security agents
- 7:14and officers, one hundred more immigration judges help tackle the backload of two many
- 7:17cases, four three hundred more asylum officers, and new policies so they can
- 7:23resolve cases in six months instead of six years. Now, all right,
- 7:27let me say this again. I know I'm getting tired of saying it over
- 7:30and over again, but I'll say it again for everybody out there across the
- 7:33country. The day he took office, his executive orders caused the southern border
- 7:41to open as wide as it's ever been open, and people came from hundreds
- 7:46of countries by the thousands, eventually to the tune of millions. And Biden
- 7:53those executive orders, erasing many of Trump's executive orders. All this to happen,
- 8:01so for him to stand in front of America again and point the finger
- 8:05and blame somebody else, it's it's it's borderline criminal. It's borderline criminal.
- 8:11It's the worst of politics. That's exactly what Biden portrays. He is the
- 8:18worst, the worst trait that politics has to offer. And shame on all
- 8:24of them. Shame on everybody down in Washington who buys into this, and
- 8:28shame on everybody who tries to fool the American public that somehow, some way,
- 8:35Joe Biden was for stricter action at the southern border. It's an absolute
- 8:41travesty in it, and it's borderline treason is as far as I'm concerned.
- 8:45All Right, one more piece of audio with a little dust up with Marjorie
- 8:48Taylor Green. You know, I had my problems with Marjorie Taylor Green.
- 8:52I wasn't necessarily a fan, but I'm slowly becoming a fan. I'd be
- 8:56a winner, not really by Lincoln Riley, an innocent young woman who was
- 9:15killed and illegal, that's right, but how many of thousands of people being
- 9:20killed by legals? I really know what that means that doesn't even make any
- 9:24sense. There were a couple of times during the course of the evening that
- 9:28Biden completely went off the deep end. Didn't make any sense. One time
- 9:31when he said he was going to Moscow to get drugs, but that was
- 9:37a little dust up with Marjorie Taylor Green. But as a whole, not
- 9:41what he said, but the fact that he was able to say it without
- 9:45falling flat on his face gives the Democrats an early win in this battle between
- 9:52Biden and Trump were evil versus good as far as I'm concerned, So they
- 9:56have it. That's my quick take on the state of the Union which happened
- 10:00last night. If you have your own take, I'd love to hear it.
- 10:03Shoot me an email Lels Radio at gmail dot count Come tell me what
- 10:07you thought about last night. Like I said, I won't spend tons of
- 10:09time on it. I'm sure Wayne will go over it with a fine tooth
- 10:13comb in just a little bit. But listen, in a general sense,
- 10:18man, it was a campaign speech, right. It was a day after
- 10:22Super Tuesday. They specifically chose this day. They souped them up with whatever
- 10:26drugs they soup them up with to get them through. You know, somewhere
- 10:31along the line on the campaign trail, you'll see him staring out in the
- 10:33space, or walking off the stage, or saying something completely inappropriate. But
- 10:37I guess, or I surmise, I assume, I theorize that they will
- 10:46hide out Biden as much as they can moving forward. I mean, he'll
- 10:50make his his campaign stops in a few spots, well guarded, right with
- 10:56a palm card in hand, to say just a few things. I don't
- 11:00take any questions from anybody, don't take any hard questions, and they'll bury
- 11:03him in his basement again, somewhere along the line to run a campaign once
- 11:07again from his basement. And I'll bet you whatever you want to wager that
- 11:13there is no way that he will debate Donald Trump. No chance in hell
- 11:18that happens. And I'll be happy to fork over my bucks to see that,
- 11:22because I think anybody who wants to make a bet on that, while
- 11:26you're just a losing proposition, why in the world would they agree to go
- 11:31toe to toe with a guy who actually can think on his feet as opposed
- 11:35to someone that the best they can hope for is that he reads a teleprompter
- 11:39and gets through it without collapsing. All right, my name is Lee Elsie.

- 17:03welcome back USA Audio Network Raw and Unfiltered. Wayne will be here right after
- 17:07the top of the hour. One of my favorite weekly guests on my morning
- 17:12show here in Connecticut is this next gentlemen. You can go online g Colli
- 17:17dot com to find out more about him. But George Collie, media watchdog,
- 17:22is joining the conversation, and George, it's all about the state of
- 17:26the union here. I'll tell you what. I think. A lot of
- 17:29people feel like they've got a hangover today. How about you, you know
- 17:33a little bit of a hangover. I think for everybody. I think everybody
- 17:37feels a little bit what you're feeling here today. That the fuzziness in the
- 17:41head, I mean not quite sure. You know, maybe it's not like
- 17:44an anxiety. It's not like a depression. It's just like it's a it's
- 17:47almost like a little bit of a pit, like you know what's going to
- 17:49happen from here. I actually agree with you that I think this was a
- 17:55win for the Democrats last night. I mean I think that I am one
- 17:59hundred percent agreement, But I think it's because the bar was set so so
- 18:03so low that if this guy didn't, you know, defecate himself and bang
- 18:08the microphone over his head as he ruled on himself that it was going to
- 18:12be better than expected. Right, And he didn't do that. Right.
- 18:15But for any Republicans out there who may be like kind of feeling that way
- 18:19and uneasy and not sure what this means for the election and blah blah blah,
- 18:23I look at it this way. I think last night it guarantees that
- 18:26Joe Biden will be the nominee for the Democrats, and that may be the
- 18:30best thing that Republicans could hear all day long. It's gonna be a lot
- 18:34harder for Gavin Newsom to go on his jolly you know, Roger tour talking
- 18:38about how great Joe Biden is and how vibrant Joe Biden is, you know,
- 18:42in the hopes that Joe Biden ends up, you know, not running.
- 18:47I'm pretty sure that it probably stows up things in Democrats' minds for Biden.
- 18:52And that's probably the best thing that could happen for Republicans in anybody's supports.
- 18:55True, do you think the people on the Democrat side of the aisle
- 18:59actually believe their rhetoric that he was spewing last night. Uh No, but
- 19:03I don't think they believe most of it. I mean, remember, this
- 19:06is a group of people that that will fight to the death that men can
- 19:10breastfeed. I mean, this is a group of people that believe that you
- 19:12know that that that that people that teachers inside of school can make changes to
- 19:18your child's gender without you knowing. I mean, they live in a fantasy
- 19:22world. They live in a fantasy world where where where where they're protesting supporting
- 19:26Hamas. I mean, I think that it's uh, you know, I
- 19:33I don't think they believe it, but I think that's part of their game.
- 19:36I think they're part of part of the democratic strategy here, especially the
- 19:38far left, is just to troll you. They want they want to troll
- 19:42you until you say something that they can then yell and say that you're bigoted
- 19:45or racist or whatever. It's not canceling. And so yeah, I mean
- 19:48I think that they love it because there's a lot of things that were rile
- 19:52Republicans up from last night, and they like that more than actually doing anything
- 19:56constructive, you know, policy wise for the country. I've got media watchdog
- 20:00George Khlei on with us last night. The one thing I took away is
- 20:03it just seemed like he was an angry home man, waving his fist at
- 20:08everyone, yelling and screaming at everyone. The tone didn't seem to match the
- 20:14words. For those of you that were sitting there right it took a half
- 20:17follower and the guy was a half follow lake, which I believe is one
- 20:19hundred percent, because all of the networks could basically speak about him and his
- 20:23agenda better than he can. So you might as well, when everybody's putting
- 20:27it at nine o'clock, allow the networks and the anchors to be the ones
- 20:30talking for the first half hour selling the speech to stout selling the agenda.
- 20:36But if you are sitting at your kitchen's table, do you believe that Ukraine
- 20:41January sixth and abortion are the top three issues right now facing this country?
- 20:47Because that was the lead yesterday for Joe Biben. It was Ukraine January sixth
- 20:52and abortion wasn't immigration. Where in New York City yesterday they just spent that
- 20:56they're militarizing the subway. You know, it's not It's not about you know,
- 21:00any sort of crime surge, but they tell you there is no crime
- 21:03surge, even though they're militarizing the subway, I mean Ukraine. I'm not
- 21:07sure it's top of mind for most people right now and what they're dealing with
- 21:11and what they're what they're facing, and what they're feeling. And if they're
- 21:15going to keep on bringing up the abortion thing. I mean, I you
- 21:18know, let them. I mean maybe one in one leg one last year,
- 21:22so maybe it went again. But I'm just not sure that that's the
- 21:25most important issue, certainly for people into deet give me high point, low
- 21:29point for the speech last night. High point for the speech. High point
- 21:33in terms of for Biden, you know, I think the high point of
- 21:37the speech was probably the end that he got through it. And I mean
- 21:42that with all sincerity, Like I mean, I think even he when he
- 21:45looked up at Jill at the end, he's kind of like, hey,
- 21:48we did it, you know. So I think that for for Biden that
- 21:52the high point all he had to do was get through it was a very
- 21:56very row bar. In terms of the low point, I think it's the
- 22:00way that he kept attacking Trump and attacking his predecessor and his opponent. You
- 22:03know, the way that that he keeps talking about trying to stave democracy while
- 22:07he's trying to imprison his political opponents. You know that he's trying to just
- 22:11to save democracy and save our freedom and save our rights. While with Joe
- 22:15Biden, the Democrats who took away your right if you chose, you know,
- 22:21if you didn't abide by their medical mandate. You know, for for
- 22:25a party that life to talk a lot about freedom of choice with your own
- 22:29body, with women's body, you know, it's amazing how they how they
- 22:33didn't feel that way necessarily with the consider mental gap that you know that we
- 22:37had to get during COVID normous work. His name is George Collie. He
- 22:41joins me weekly on my morning show in Connecticut, bringing him to the national
- 22:45stage tonight on the USA Audio Network. George, Thanks, we got to

- 30:21coming at you. You thought it was dead and buried, but no,
- 30:25apparently it is not. A Couple of people on the phone with me right
- 30:30now, matt Alena and Richard are fighting the good fight against a mask mandate
- 30:37over in our neighboring state of Rhode Island. So I want to welcome them
- 30:41both to the show as there's a lot to get to here with this mask
- 30:44mandate. Guys, thanks for coming on. I appreciate it. Richard,
- 30:48let's start with you give me a little backstory at what we are looking at
- 30:52today. Sure, so let me start at the end and then I'll go
- 30:53back to the beginning. On Friday, March fifteenth, that's a week from
- 30:57this Friday, there is a hearing in Rhode Island. Public hearing being conducted
- 31:03by the Rhode Island Department of Health as part of their effort to implement a
- 31:08school mask regulation in the state of Rhode Island. This is the culmination of
- 31:15a twenty six month lawsuit we filed back in August of twenty twenty one,
- 31:22when the governor instituted an executive order that was mandating all children in all schools
- 31:27wear masks. When he realized that he probably didn't have the legal authority to
- 31:33do that and was going to be challenged, the Rhode Island Department of Health
- 31:36came to his rescue and issued an emergency regulation that mandated school masking for all
- 31:42children in K three twelve in Rhode Island. And there's some some legal problems.
- 31:51I think many parents would say that that regulation was bad policy that was
- 31:56unlawfully enacted. There was bad policy because a lot of parents are had a
- 32:00full school year under their belts with masking and had seen the impact that it
- 32:02was having on their children academically, socially, emotionally in terms of the way
- 32:07it was impacting their personalities. So they knew it wasn't a great process,
- 32:12and the Department of Health really hadn't come forward with anything compelling to prove to
- 32:17us as parents that this masking measure would actually do anything to stop the spread
- 32:22of COVID, And so that's the bad policy part, the unlawfully enacted part
- 32:28as I lived through earlier. The governor really, you know, by including
- 32:31his own counsel, really was out over his skis, and it exceeded his
- 32:36statutory authority by issuing an executive order on this. And we also argued that
- 32:40the Department of Health had kind of misused the emergency regulations. The emergency regulation
- 32:47is supposed to be enacted when something happens suddenly and they don't have time to
- 32:52respond and put a formal regulation in place, and the emergency regulation is designed
- 32:57to give them six months to get a permanent regulation in place, and so
- 33:02there's an immediacy there. What they did was wait sixteen months after the pandemics.
- 33:07So if the pandemic started in March of twenty twenty, they waited until
- 33:10April of twenty twenty one to enact an emergency measure unmasking. And so we
- 33:15argued that they were playing games. They were trying to get around the typical
- 33:20rulemaking or regulation setting process by pulling the emergency level lever sixteen months in and
- 33:27so what they should have done they had sixteen months to put a permanent regulation
- 33:30in place. They never lifted a finger to do any of that, and
- 33:32so we challenged that. We went on for twenty six months with them,
- 33:37and then on the eve of going to trial, which would have involved going
- 33:42through the discovery process, which you know, if you're being sued, is
- 33:44generally not a great thing because you've got to produce a lot of documents and
- 33:46a lot of testimony, they finally came to the settlement table and said,
- 33:50well, what about if we went through the normal regulatory process, did all
- 33:54the transparency stuff that we're supposed to do, and propose the regulation. And
- 34:00you know, we agreed that that was that would be good enough. And
- 34:04they now find themselves in the position where they've got to propose this rule into
- 34:09very stiff public opposition, and we could use more public opposition, and we
- 34:14can talk about that a little bit later in the in the interview. And
- 34:17they still don't have any compelling science prove that masking does anything to stop the
- 34:24spread of covid RSV, the flu or any respiratory infection. Just clarify,
- 34:30you don't have to wear masks today in Rhode Island. I just want to
- 34:35make sure everybody understands that, so nobody's wearing masks go ahead, please now,
- 34:39go ahead, risk, go ahead. Nobody has to wear a mask
- 34:45today. The emergency regulation has expired. What we found during the course of
- 34:50legal filings back and forth is that Rhode Island Department of Health tried to say,
- 34:54well, this is not an issue anymore because there are no masks on
- 34:58the children, and we said, okay, that's great. So you're saying
- 35:00that there'll never be another mask mandate and they said, oh no, no,
- 35:02no, well there's no mask mandate for now. But they were trying
- 35:06to reserve their right to do it again in the future without any kind of
- 35:09formal regulation, but just kind of by seats or by whatever whim they were
- 35:13on that day. And we said, oh no, no, absolutely not
- 35:16want to. You want to do this again in the future, you need
- 35:20to put a rule in place, and you need to go through run through
- 35:22the regulatory gauntlets to make that happen. And that means getting public input and
- 35:28looking at scientific evidence to prove that what you're doing is appropriate. There's not
- 35:32one piece of scientific evidence that says wearing a mask does anything correct. I
- 35:37haven't seen it, Madelina. Can you give me your background a little bit
- 35:40if you don't mind no, not in the elite. So I'm actually a
- 35:44public school teacher. I teach in high school locally and Rhode Islands. I
- 35:49also have three children in elementary school, so I was experiencing this from multiple
- 35:53ends. As a teacher, I was watching what it was doing to my
- 35:57students. My own children were experiencing it, so I saw how detrimental it
- 36:01was to them physically, emotionally, socially in terms of their language acquisition.
- 36:07I'm a world language teacher, and so I saw the damage it was doing
- 36:10very quickly, and I realized that the Department of Health had absolutely no interest
- 36:15whatsoever and looking into the effects that had on children. And as twenty twenty
- 36:21one progressed, when we saw the fact that our children were not being released
- 36:25from these mandates even when the rest of the state was free, and we
- 36:30had incredibly low transmission rates. You know, back in June of twenty twenty
- 36:36one, we had a heat wave of ninety five degrees and we don't have
- 36:39air conditioned school, so our children were in one hundred plus degree weather,
- 36:44spreading and mass when we had a transmission rate of zero point three percent.
- 36:50So it was just really alarming that this was happening to children, and no
- 36:52one was advocating for them, and so I wanted to partake in this lawsuit
- 36:55when I found out about it in this March fifteenth date. Tell me a
- 37:00little bit about this, guys, what's the importance of this. So we
- 37:04are the only state in the entire country who's currently attempting to implement regulations for
- 37:09future masks mandates. So we're kind of the front lines right now. What
- 37:14happens in Rhode Island is going to affect this happens in the other states.
- 37:16So it's very, very important that people show up to represent the opposition to
- 37:22this and the way it's hurt our children, the lack of science to support
- 37:27it. Now is the time to fight them, because if we lose and
- 37:30there's a recommendation, if there's a regulation in Rhode Island, other states will
- 37:35be more vulnerable to this. So what you're saying is specifically, this entity
- 37:39wants to decide who, what, where, and why someone or some people
- 37:45would be forced to wear a mask. Is that correct? That's really the
- 37:49crux of it. They would love to have the discretion to do as they
- 37:52please, when they please, and this regulation is now you know, if
- 37:59they put it in place, will be on the books and they will have
- 38:01to follow that regulation. This is designed to put some controls around what they
- 38:08can do in terms of masking. And you know, had we not gotten
- 38:15them to do this, we would have had additional you know, emergency orders
- 38:19and you know, mass mandates on a whim whenever they felt like doing it
- 38:22or whatever, you know, a teacher's union, you know, felt like,
- 38:25you know, they're people needed to be you know, protected for some
- 38:30airborne illness. So it's very, very important that people show up and push
- 38:37back on this. Who makes the decision, I'm sorry, who who'd make
- 38:39that decision? The Board of ed or who made normal So the normal course
- 38:45of one of these public health regulations is they have an idea, they draft
- 38:51a regulation. That's where we are right now. It's been put out to
- 38:53the public for review and comment. And so now any in the you know,
- 39:00in the general public can go pick up a copy of this draft regulation,
- 39:04read it right in, you know, by an email to say,
- 39:07look, I don't agree with this, I think it's a terrible idea generally,
- 39:09or I don't like this aspect of the rule, whatever the case may
- 39:12be. And then we can also go to a public hearing to you know,
- 39:15give our thoughts on the rule. They then have to take all of
- 39:20that that input that they get, go through it and respond to it,
- 39:24and where necessary or we're appropriate, they'll make changes to the rules. So
- 39:29one aspect of this rule, and it's in the draft rule, is that
- 39:34they will decide what studies they use to determine whether a mask mandate is appropriate
- 39:38in a given situation. Right, and we all know how well that went
- 39:42when the CDC was putting out junk science, you know, to support these
- 39:45measures back during COVID. They will decide which with science that they want to
- 39:51use. They will decide how much weight to put on different studies, and
- 39:53they've given themselves enormous discretion in how to how to evaluate this. So one
- 39:59of the things that I'll be pushing back on is, hey, we need
- 40:01a lot more guardrails in place, and you need a much tighter process for
- 40:06determining how you decide which studies you're going to use and which ones you're going
- 40:09to discard. And by the way, what are the qualifications of the person
- 40:14doing this analysis? Right? Is it an epidemiologist or is it some flunky
- 40:19intern ultimately, who makes the final call, the final decision on this,
- 40:22It'll come from some unnamed bureaucrat bureau accountability, so that they can't trace it
- 40:29to. And that's one of the things that I want to push back on.
- 40:30Sorry, mat Atlanta, all right, I want to take a short
- 40:34break. We'll come back. We'll continue this conversation in just a second.
- 40:37We're talking about masks mandates, and not only does it have a direct impact
- 40:42on what's happening over in Rhode Island, but it actually could spread out and
- 40:45have an impact on what's happening in your state wherever you're listening to us tonight
- 40:51on the USA Audio Network. Short time out, We'll come right back.

- 46:05this Friday, we're talking mask mandates, and Madelena and Richard are on the
- 46:09phone with us right now. There's a big event happening stop permanent mask mandates
- 46:16over in Rhode Island. It could have widespread effects on the entire country as
- 46:22a matter of fact. And listen, I want to go to Madelena if
- 46:25we can here for a couple of minutes. Just give us a quick once
- 46:29over for the folks who may have just joined us here on the broadcast now.
- 46:31So this is directly for schools and masks mandates, right And what would
- 46:37be interesting is because it's the regulation and it wouldn't go through a state of
- 46:40emergency like it has in the past. It would mean that our children would
- 46:45be voice to wear masks to go to school, but adults wouldn't be under
- 46:47the same restriction, so adults could just go about regular life. But if
- 46:52you walk into a school building, you sadly have to put a mask on.
- 46:54All right, And this is all happening once again March fifteenth at nine
- 46:59am. Get give everybody, if you can, the details on how they
- 47:01can get involved that they want their voice heard. So we actually have a
- 47:06couple of things. We have some documents that have all of this information that
- 47:08we could share with you. The biggest thing that they would need to do,
- 47:13the most important thing besides the tending in person, because that would be
- 47:17very powerful, would be to submit written testimony and opposition. And there's just
- 47:22one email address that goes directly to the Department of Health. Can I give
- 47:27you the email address could be able to share that course, So it would
- 47:30go to Zachary dot Arcot at Health dot ri I dot gov and it's v
- 47:36A C H A R Y dot G A R C E A U at
- 47:42Health dot r I dot gov. So like emailing your opposition to the the
- 47:47proposed mask regulation to that address, it would be documented that you had opposed
- 47:52with regulation. So you want as many people there in person as possible.
- 47:58I'm assuming this is inside correct. It's going to be in sort of a
- 48:01super spruder for sure. Right. He address is one capital hill in Providence.
- 48:08It's going to be in conference rooms A, B, and C that
- 48:10are going to be combined. There is actually a cap of three hundred and
- 48:15ninety people and the Department of Health will be turning people away if we exceed
- 48:20capacity, and we would love to put them in that position. It would
- 48:23be amazing if we had enough people to push back that they would have to
- 48:28start turning numbers of the public away. It's such a sad thing. In
- 48:31fact, when they attempted two years ago to impose a vaccine mandate and all
- 48:37of our medical professionals, they had to limit testimony to one minute per person,
- 48:42so we had sixty seconds to oppose because we had four hundred people that
- 48:45showed up to oppose it. Well, well, that's good. That's a
- 48:49good thing. As a teacher, are you still debating other teachers on this
- 48:57or have some of the teachers I guess wised up. So has has that
- 49:01changed or has it stayed the same? Well, has absolutely changed. Teachers
- 49:06really really saw the effects of what happened. I think, first of all,
- 49:09we have so much science now that indicates that it doesn't do anything to
- 49:13ensue transmission in the first place. But we've felt what happened in the classrooms.
- 49:17For one thing, they went silent. Our kids just stopped interacting with
- 49:22anybody, with each other. They just stopped answering us. There was this
- 49:28a complete deficit in learning. As a language teacher, I realized, my
- 49:34kids can't learn language if they can't see my mouth. Because these are words
- 49:37in a foreign country, in a foreign language. They don't know how to
- 49:42save them in the first place. They don't know how they're spelled. If
- 49:45they can't see how I'm pronouncing them, They're not going to acquire this language.
- 49:49They're not going to acquire the terms that they need. I noticed one
- 49:52day, the very first day that maths came off of our faces. It
- 49:57was March seventh. I asked the question, and I realized three or four
- 50:02of my very quiet children, who never interacts with me in class, were
- 50:07mouthing the correct answers to themselves. And it was the first time I had
- 50:09seen their faces all year, and I was able to call on kids who
- 50:14had never interacted before. And you know, we had I had an incident
- 50:17just a week ago where I had a student introduced themselves to me. I
- 50:22had him as a student three years ago, and I didn't recognize him because
- 50:25I'd never seen his face. And so there's so many teachers that they think,
- 50:30God, that's over, let's never go back to that. There's been
- 50:34no acknowledgment from the Department's Health as to how this affected our children. Even
- 50:38their own class benefit analysis is strictly financial. They're not looking at the cost
- 50:43of children for doing this. Yeah, that's amazing what that whole COVID scare
- 50:52was. Just it's remarkable how we handle it and how bad we handle it.
- 50:54And kudos to people like yourselves for doing what you've done. It's really
- 50:59remarkable to push back as hard as you're pushing back. All right, guys,
- 51:01give everybody one more opportunity to write this down so they can show up
- 51:07and join the fight with you. Guys. Yeah, So we actually have
- 51:12a website up Barrington Parents United, So it's all one word Barringtontown Parents Pluralunited
- 51:19dot com. You can get it on Google as well, but there's actually
- 51:22in the lower writing and corner there's a call to action. It's got links
- 51:25to the regulation, the meeting time and room, how you can testify,
- 51:30you know, provide written testimony to the Department of Health, all the backgrounders
- 51:34that you need. Madelina actually put that together, did a wonderful job with
- 51:37it. Everything's there on one sheet of paper with a couple of links.
- 51:42I would urge everybody to get out there. It's the Barrington Parents United.
- 51:45Take a look at the call to action and just follow the steps that she's
- 51:47laid out. It will make a huge difference. And then you know,
- 51:52if you've got any lingering resentment that I know a lot of us do about
- 51:55the way COVID, your handles, the the way your children are treated regarded
- 52:00as you know, collateral damage, show up for that hearing next week nine
- 52:05am Friday morning, hopefully the weather will be good. To be nice.
- 52:07Day out of work and take a three day weekend and actually pushed back on
- 52:10those who pushed on you for COVID. Guys, keep fighting again. We're
- 52:15behind you one hundred percent and thank you for coming on today letting everybody know
- 52:17and anybody you know, our signal certainly reaches deep into Rhode Island, so
- 52:21anybody listening, they should certainly show up at this and fight to fight with
- 52:24these guys. Thanks again, I appreciate it very much. You're welcome.
- 52:28Thank you, Lee, I appreciate it. All right. That's it.
- 52:30That wraps it up. Way now. Alan Roon is back after a three
- 52:34day vacation. All right, that's it. Way now, Alan Roon is
- 52:37back after a three day sabbatical doubt at Mara Lago. Enjoy the rest of
