- 5:05[SPEAKER_24]: So beautiful, Beth Hall wore a polka dot dress today on the news, did you see you?
- 5:09[SPEAKER_24]: I love polka dot dresses, isn't that something?
- 5:12[SPEAKER_24]: Let's see, what else is going?
- 5:13[SPEAKER_24]: Oh, Brian Ashley must have dropped by.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_24]: Let me a note, and a couple brochures outlining what friends of Thompson Park do, well, Brian, you can come in and talk.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_24]: We're not, you know,
- 5:27[SPEAKER_24]: you're a charming Canadian and everything else and nobody's gonna give you a hard time everybody's so afraid of coming in here they think I'm in well a lot of them think I'm a you know whole you know you know how it is not true not true but anyway it tells what this group does and their volunteer efforts to improve the park and uh you know that's great speaking of the park
- 5:53[SPEAKER_24]: You know there was somebody was showing me the least that the city has with the Conservancy and it prevents the subletting and leasing of property, yeah, and they're going to go out and lease that residence there to some, not to commercial lease they're putting out the zoning violation and a breach of the lease.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_24]: Now they'll just don't worry because
- 6:20[SPEAKER_24]: a city attorney is paid to give them the opinion they want to say it's okay and they'll just say we ran up my legal and they said it was okay but I read the the contract this morning it's pretty explicit and it's used um... councilman shown says there's a lot of people drinking netty daddy yeah and they're coming into town drinking their netty daddy and they're standing in front of stores intimidating customers causing problems
- 6:49[SPEAKER_24]: he says the police need to do more and he says if they can't they should call the troopers to commit it is there in town anyway right in tickets and he said it not me so i don't know it's too much daddy daddy drinking going on well you don't know what daddy daddy is well that's right our demographics aren't the same as the brand
- 7:18[SPEAKER_24]: Well, Naddy Daddy is a malt beverage.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_24]: Got an 8% alcohol, comes in like 25 ounce cans.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_24]: So it's like four beers and one can.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_24]: And it's really cheap, a couple bucks a can.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_24]: So if you're looking for a fact and not taste, you drink Naddy Daddy.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_24]: Naddy, don't get it too many bars.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_24]: If you're hanging out at the,
- 7:41[SPEAKER_24]: at the antique boat museum, or those types of letters, is you're not going to find nanny daddy anywhere nearby.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_24]: But we're in a councilman's show and he's set up by the case at that Franklin Street Market.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_23]: So it's a lot of people drinking nanny daddy, yeah.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_24]: Oh, let's see, I wonder what else have we got?
- 8:03[SPEAKER_24]: We've got, oh, today's supposedly the day for that mediation,
- 8:08[SPEAKER_24]: between the city's lawyers and the lawyers for um... Jeffrey Hodge the widow of Karen Hodge died in the uh... speed bump accident up in Thompson Park we don't know if they're they're going to try to keep that secret or what i don't know how it can be since it's public money but i don't know you get a lawyer to tell you anything so
- 8:38[SPEAKER_24]: We'll see if it's, it should be made now.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_24]: Now the other side of it is, why not fight it?
- 8:47[SPEAKER_24]: Those arguments, those counter arguments, you can say she was going too fast.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_24]: Didn't have a helmet on?
- 8:53[SPEAKER_24]: There's mitigating factors.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_24]: Now, I don't think it was an appropriate place for bumps.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_24]: I think the signage was bad and they weren't in a stall property.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_24]: Those are all negatives, but there are mitigating factors.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_24]: You've taken him out since.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_08]: That's kind of a... You might.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_24]: It just seems to me that's a statement in another self.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_24]: Yeah.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_24]: Maybe it was a dress jersey.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_11]: We'll take about.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_24]: Give us some consideration.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_24]: I don't know.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_24]: We'll find out.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_24]: And good luck to her, I don't know what you're going to say, you know?
- 9:43[SPEAKER_24]: There's a lot you can do.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_24]: I mean, I'm not saying they don't do a decent job now, but there's always improvements.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_24]: I certainly would say in the public relations area, and building relationships partnerships, they'd like to call them with resident local businesses and so on.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_24]: coppers when something's really bad happened.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_24]: So, anyway, just my thoughts, but people, for your otherwise, had one else here.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_24]: Altsman Garibrax says he's against seven-day week operation if the Northside
- 10:38[SPEAKER_24]: Well, didn't he just buy a new house on Harris Drive?
- 10:40[SPEAKER_24]: He's all set.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_24]: Well, we got the darn thing over there.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_24]: That's the thing, you know?
- 10:52[SPEAKER_24]: Well, what else have we got to talk about?
- 10:55[SPEAKER_24]: Oh, that Council is considering passing a resolution.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_24]: Asking North Star, a health alliance.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_24]: Not to close health facilities.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_24]: One is in water town.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_24]: The orthopedic thing already closed, I think,
- 11:08[SPEAKER_24]: Also, the maturity services up north and services in Carthage, I don't think it'll do much good.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_24]: It's a point or plate thing.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_24]: Sort of a field good resolution.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_24]: Now, somebody texted in.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_24]: Tonight's Watertown School Board meeting is voting and reinstating the penis art teacher's job at case middle school.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_24]: Was somebody like go over that?
- 11:36[SPEAKER_24]: controversial artwork.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_24]: I didn't think I thought they just moved that teacher over to another function and brought in a different art teacher.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_24]: But if you're asking me will they do it?
- 11:47[SPEAKER_24]: Of course if Dr. Schmeagall says do it they will do it.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_24]: Uh, no, it's kind of interesting.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_24]: It's not his weird thing on Facebook where I Anthony Constantine gave us a big basket of stuff, cheese, wine, other things, um, Democrat candidate, gender being, I don't know why he did it.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_24]: Nice gesture, I guess.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_24]: And, um, how about those metal roosters?
- 12:19[SPEAKER_24]: You see, nose around?
- 12:22[SPEAKER_24]: They become a big deal in some communities like in Maine,
- 12:26[SPEAKER_24]: They tried to get down on the local government, tried to get down on some woman for having him and then she like loan them out as foster roosters to people and town and people were buying them and now every place in town has sort of a show of resistance against the man.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_22]: Yeah, you're not telling me what to do.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_24]: Some of these people think that
- 12:53[SPEAKER_22]: Municipal government is like a big HOA to tell us what to do, so sure I agree with it.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_24]: So, 755, well, you know there's HOA's home owners associate, you don't see them up here.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_24]: And the more lottied areas, you know, nice subdivisions.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_24]: And I understand the need to, you know, you don't want outrageous things being built,
- 13:19[SPEAKER_24]: You don't want somebody telling you what color you can do this and what lawn ornament you're going to have or anything like that.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_24]: Let's do short to put up with that.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_24]: Well, if federal judge is Block New York's band on Ice Agents wearing masks, so top wear a mask.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_24]: Yeah.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_24]: Wow.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_24]: Well, are you ready to get a tiny car that's to do all the car companies that are going to come out with tiny cars?
- 13:52[SPEAKER_24]: Like tiny houses, electric low-speed vehicles, LSVs.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_24]: I don't know.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_24]: I think any of that stuff is okay if it's for a second or third vehicle.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_24]: But I don't see that going.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_24]: You're maybe in the villages or something like that.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_24]: Yeah, but they got golf courts dressed up as Lincoln Continental's now.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_24]: So they don't need that either Boy, did you see Bobby Kennedy there get down on Dana Bash that was great?
- 14:22[SPEAKER_24]: That was great Yeah Well some people didn't like it, but I enjoyed it, and that's all that matters Oh See do do do do
- 14:42[SPEAKER_24]: Well ownership of the new high-marked stadium has been transferred to eerie count from eerie county to New York State.
- 14:50[UNKNOWN]: Oh.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_24]: Governor Hoke was in Lake Placid this week.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_24]: She wants to bring the Olympics back here now.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_24]: Hmm.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_24]: That's amazing.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_24]: Let's see.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_08]: Well, is that it?
- 15:12[SPEAKER_24]: Okay.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_24]: Where's the angry man, is we take a vacation?
- 15:18[SPEAKER_24]: Yeah.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_24]: This will saddened a couple of our listeners.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_24]: The nomination of Todd Vance is the advanced out of committee through a full vote by the Senate.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_24]: I don't know if it'll pass or not.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_24]: Probably you'll reap one of those 51-50 deals because the Lewis Mercowski, I don't know about the one in Maine.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_24]: Maybe one other.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_24]: And today's a big day in Michigan.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_24]: The Democratic Socialists of America really exister as that of Fox News contrivens.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_24]: I don't know.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_24]: I've heard of other networks too.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_24]: This Abdul guys says he's a doctor.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_24]: but it doesn't treat any patients.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_24]: Well, how are you, a doctor there?
- 16:12[SPEAKER_23]: Anyway, he's running against this woman, 42 year old, sir.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_24]: Yeah, Steve enters up.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_24]: He's kind of weird, like, talks funny.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_24]: He's a Congresswoman from somewhere in Michigan.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_24]: So I don't know.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_24]: They say Abdul is going to win, then he goes up against Mike Rogers the Republican in the fall.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_24]: But it's quite a race and there's a couple other of these races around the country with the DSA candidates are running.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_24]: I see James Carville is all upset about the DSA and everything.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_24]: Are there any DSA members in our listening area?
- 16:52[SPEAKER_24]: We'd like to hear from you.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_22]: Yeah, it doesn't bother me, you know.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_24]: If they get rid of it, they want to get rid of the Senate.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_24]: You know, there's a solid case for that to be made.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_24]: They say, well, it's in our constitution.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_24]: So it would be very tough to get rid of, because you'd need three quarters of the state legislatures to support an amendment.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_24]: So it's probably not going to happen.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_24]: But, you know, we live in a state with 19 million people.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_24]: How many senators we get?
- 17:22[SPEAKER_24]: Two.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_24]: Gen to be an insumer.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_24]: If you live in Wyoming with 700,000 people, how many senators you get?
- 17:32[SPEAKER_24]: Two.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_24]: A lot of people think that's unfair, and that's why they want to get rid of it.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_24]: So I mean, there's a case to be made, and the other case is, of course, you know, this protects the interests of smaller states and rural areas and all of that.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_24]: I get that, also it's the way it is, and you don't want to change the status quo.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_24]: But they also want to, well, a lot of Democrats want to do this, expand the Supreme Court,
- 18:03[SPEAKER_24]: But they'll add like five more, all crazy liberals, and then they'll just have control.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_24]: And they want to have the, they want to get rid of an elected president and have someone appointed by a revamped house of representatives, which would be called a polo bureau.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_24]: So they want to make some changes.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_24]: They want healthcare for all, free healthcare for all.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_24]: And they want to just a bunch of things.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_24]: And anything that makes it interesting, you know?
- 18:39[SPEAKER_22]: We want our politics to be interesting.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_24]: And, you know, you look at some of these people around.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_24]: But it's looking now at some hearings, Maisie, Harrono, from Hawaii.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_24]: There's a nut for you.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_23]: There's a bunch of nuts already in the Senate.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_23]: Yep.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_24]: So, I don't know.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_23]: We'll see.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_24]: 755-440, our phone number, if you'd like to give us a call to be on the show of shows and talk about things, good and bad, whatever, yeah, the angry man, I don't know where he is, nobody seems to know, nobody knows.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_24]: Well some famous birthdays today, and I don't know why it isn't a holiday, Barack Obama.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_24]: her in 65 today.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_24]: What is an August 4th?
- 19:33[SPEAKER_24]: This should be a holiday because we have no holidays in August, right?
- 19:40[SPEAKER_24]: Well, we created one in June and we have one in July and one in September, but none in August.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_24]: And I've always thought why not Obama's birthday?
- 19:51[SPEAKER_24]: He's 65 today.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_24]: Happy birthday, Mr. President.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_24]: Megan Markle turns 45.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_24]: Boy, she's getting a little long
- 20:00[SPEAKER_24]: Yeah, wow, that's some other names that I don't know of, Dylan Sprouse, little skies, Jessica the prankster, who the heck is she, who are these people?
- 20:15[SPEAKER_24]: I got, I don't know, you know, he famous people on this list, I know where the Obama and, wow, that's about it, oh, of course, the Meghan Markle.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_24]: Adly McBride to intend is a TikTok star.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_24]: How could he be at 10 years old a TikTok star?
- 20:36[SPEAKER_24]: Yeah.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_24]: I got it.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_24]: What's becoming of his place?
- 20:42[SPEAKER_24]: And there's Alenea Caligaris, 18 years old.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_24]: She's a TikTok star through those of tomorrow.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_24]: So for Elyana and Adly, you can celebrate tomorrow.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_24]: Oh boy.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_24]: That's it for birthdays today.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_24]: Huh.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_24]: 755, 1240, or phone number, put a 315 in front of it.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_03]: And we'll kind of go from there, else it's going on in the world.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_24]: Yankee's lost yesterday, that's right.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_24]: Well, I guess some text will go to those, we like the text.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_24]: Oh, the one about the school board.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_24]: I actually, I wish we could get million to talk about.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_24]: I don't know what it, I remember the story about the art by some now deceased obscure artist, but I guess popular in work circles and a lot of his artwork featured the male member and they were teaching that in school and somebody got upset.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_24]: I think I didn't think they fired or suspended the teacher.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_24]: I thought they just moved her.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_24]: Well, they'll put her back, listen, man go, Rembrandt, you know, that kind of stuff, Andy Warhol, if you like something a little off beat, those, those are your artists.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_24]: Some guy who drives pictures of your junk, that's not art.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_24]: Yeah, they shouldn't be teaching that.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_22]: Picasso, there's another, yeah, it's a good stuff.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_24]: I like that clock that drips off the, you know, there's some good stuff there.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_24]: But, I don't know.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_24]: Okay, 755, 1240, the phone number.

- 30:00[SPEAKER_24]: Blakeman loses by 12 or 13 somewhere now.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_24]: Yeah.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_24]: 56, 44 somewhere in that margin.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_24]: Maybe you don't have, I don't know.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_24]: Are you voting?
- 30:16[SPEAKER_24]: It doesn't matter.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_24]: It doesn't matter.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_24]: Logic got your new stadium for the bills.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_24]: But they won't.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_24]: They got restrictions now on all the tailgate parties.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_24]: Well, that shouldn't be.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_24]: You should be able to do whatever you want in the parking lot, right?
- 30:32[SPEAKER_24]: Exactly.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_24]: Uh, 755, 1240, the phone number.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_24]: We'd like to give us a call to be on here.

- 30:49[SPEAKER_24]: I haven't postmarked tomorrow.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_24]: Or they have some kind of online bill thing.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_24]: So.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_24]: No, never tried it, so I don't know, but after you do it around the air, what's up?
- 31:06[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, I haven't been listening to Glenn Cooley last night, and the English I did call them last night, but he wasn't playing any of the guys playing movie guys.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_02]: Glenn Cooley said he is very knowledgeable about all the movies.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_02]: Talk about movies wasn't angry at all.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_02]: But it was the same guy because one call of every guy, and he wouldn't agree he would talk about movies.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_02]: So, I mean, I'm a good but not you, but I guess he's lies well he can't run that way.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_24]: Okay, well, I don't talk about movies much I'm here because I don't know a lot about them.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_24]: You know, years ago, I mean, I went to see the exercise and all of that, so I have a certain knowledge of the 70s, 80s, that era, but that's about it.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, me too.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I love old movies.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_02]: I like to read those a lot of books.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_02]: And the clock, I didn't know the clock.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_02]: That was a cell with a dolly.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_24]: Oh, what?
- 32:03[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't see the character here.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_02]: That's a big giant.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_02]: He had a broad mustache.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_24]: I'm sorry.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_24]: Picasso was more like the cubes and things.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_21]: Yeah.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_24]: Yeah.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_24]: I'm, well, you see, they should have taught me that in school, Salvador, Dolly.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_24]: And, um, I don't know.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_02]: I've seen the documentary about him here.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_02]: He was quite a playboy.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, yeah, wild poverty.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_02]: He's not a little bit of a genius.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I agree with her.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_02]: He loves just girls and his wild poverty.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_02]: He's quite a character.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_02]: If you wanted to look him up, we would try to put you into things.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_24]: I had a big mustache, didn't he?
- 32:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the big giant bear to buy a mustache.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_24]: Well, that's good.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_24]: Sounds like he got his share, if you will.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, I think he had a pretty good life, so what I understand.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_24]: Good, good.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_24]: OK, well, thank you for correcting me on that.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_02]: OK, I'm good at it.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_24]: I know.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_23]: Yeah, hold it.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_23]: How are they?
- 33:00[SPEAKER_24]: They'd eviscerate me on the blog for that.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_24]: Oh, you don't know what they're doing.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_23]: And what does anybody know anything about the reinstating a teacher or something?
- 33:14[SPEAKER_24]: I'm surprised, they're talking about that in public session.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_24]: Yeah, well, let's look at the agenda.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_24]: A approval of, they're going to dispose of some obsolete technology items.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_24]: Maybe like an advocacy or something like that, yeah.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_24]: They're approving a settlement.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_24]: How much we're giving away.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_24]: Now, a approval of an MOA, memo of understand.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_24]: No, I don't know what that is.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_24]: They made no one an MOA as, well, they got a lot of items here.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_24]: Personnel report, principal appointment, going to raise the salary of a cotton management confidential employee.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_24]: They're approving five different donations on its own.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_23]: And they're approving a sports education trip.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_03]: Huh.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_24]: I don't know.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_24]: I don't see anything about all executive session proposed to discuss the medical financial credit or employment history of it, or take it in a person.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_24]: That's where they'll do that.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_24]: Yeah.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_24]: Hopefully, if they do reinstate her, she won't be doing that kind of art.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_24]: She'll stick to the aforementioned artists and a few others, you know, Picasso, Dolly, Rembrandt, Van Gogh, all of those, War Hall, and nowadays, you don't need artists because

- 38:28[SPEAKER_09]: Are you interesting talk around the clock depend on the news and talk authority WATM-1240?
- 38:37[SPEAKER_24]: Hey, I'm 1240.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_24]: Hey, listen, they've got the, uh, see, we're, um, the governor of Kentucky is grandstanding on the, uh, on the sick bed of Mitch McConnell demanding answers demanding a might say we know he's sick.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_24]: He's done this year anyway his term is up he's not running so
- 38:56[SPEAKER_24]: I don't, it's type of things play out, I mean, there's actually Ruben Gaia, Iago has a senator from Arizona, has a higher absentee rate than old mids, right now.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_24]: So, what do you do right, pick on somebody who's in your health like that, or just like the election you go forward, but Governor Bashir wants to run for president, so he's
- 39:26[SPEAKER_24]: I just hope he doesn't show up at Mitch's funeral if he does pass.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_23]: It'd be tacky.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_24]: It's kind of like the mayor of New York, you know that young female soldier for Queens we've got killed in that missile head in Jordan.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_24]: Mom, Dami, tried to go to it and wanted to speak, and then the family didn't want that.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_24]: You don't show up if you don't want it.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_24]: We know why the family didn't want him there.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_24]: Yeah.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_24]: That's their business, so, um, but that, that looked kind of dumb.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_24]: Now they're arguing over the, mom-diamy supermarkets, I'd like our city to take over a super market, you know, and, um, give us 30% lower prices, well, you'd be great.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_24]: That would be great, huh?
- 40:18[SPEAKER_24]: Good idea?
- 40:19[SPEAKER_24]: We're not.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_24]: Okay.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_24]: it is clear these are the lazy hazy crazy days of summer because everyone is out and about doing things and all of that oh you got a big power ball jackpot tonight lump some amount after taxes and hundred and seventy eight million what would you do with that I'd deposit it did it and drive yeah let's just let it sit there I know it's not
- 40:55[SPEAKER_24]: all of that.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_24]: And then find ways to invest in elsewhere.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_24]: That's a bit now I probably wouldn't do that right away, but that's the problem is, what do you do immediately with all that money?
- 41:09[SPEAKER_24]: Yeah, maybe you want to take a million, put it in your checking account, pay off, you know, start, you know, spending some of that.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_24]: But that's, you know, you want to get it somewhere where it's earning a bit of a yield, three to five percent
- 41:23[SPEAKER_24]: and uh... but i don't know where you'd put it you can move it around between different banks now somebody taxing the current crew meaning city council couldn't run a hot dog cart let alone a market i don't know uh... might be able to you don't think there's people at city hall who
- 41:55[SPEAKER_24]: I don't know, we'll see.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_24]: 755, well, maybe not the price drop or that's a little bigger.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_24]: But they can give it a try.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_24]: Oh, don't say forget.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_24]: Oh, we're getting back to that power ball thing.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_24]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_24]: We've got some real financial geniuses, we've got people in the audience with six figure pensions and seven figure at words.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_24]: I'm sure they'd know what to do with that.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_24]: But you hate to put it in any one place, you just worry about, you know, even a big thing like fidelity or any of those type of things, you just wonder.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_21]: Yeah.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_24]: But maybe that's the best place for it.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_24]: But definitely, and of course, I'd want to spend some of it.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_24]: Obviously, there's incidental things, and there's some friends you want to take care of, people who've been nice to me.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_24]: And I've made a list.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_24]: And I've made a list of the contrary.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_24]: So you know, you do that.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_24]: That take up some money.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_24]: There's probably some things in town I'd like to do.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_24]: I'd really like to do something with that crappy bathhouse and the other end of the pool up in the park and put some new street lighting up there.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_24]: I'd have to consult with, of course, Brian Ashley, but I'm sure Brian and I work out it in the accommodation if I had a bucket full of money.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_24]: I don't know what else we'd want to do, but there would be something, there would be something.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_24]: I don't want my name on any of that stuff.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_24]: No.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_24]: We'll build the bath house and I don't know, name it after the school superintendent or something like that.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_24]: So anyway, 755, 1240, the phone number, it'd like to give us a call.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_24]: They actually have some job openings at the school district.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_24]: You don't need to say there's no jobs, no jobs.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_21]: Yeah.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_24]: Everybody wants bus drivers, 25 bucks an hour at Sandy Creek.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_24]: Bosing, Bosing needs a nursing instructor, plumbing HVA instructor, all of these things, you know, these are the fields to get into.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_24]: So the thing, you should get it as an HVAC and then move over to Europe because sooner or later they're going to get sick of getting hot every day and want to have herconditioned.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_24]: But what you don't want to do is get a liberal arts degree, you don't want to go to a human studies or a gender studies or any of that stuff.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_24]: Now in the water-chown district, that school business manager, oh my god, how many layers of management they got up there?

- 53:42[SPEAKER_24]: And when they are now their pushers of marijuana, that's so it opens the door and everything else.
- 53:48[SPEAKER_24]: So what do you do about drugs?
- 53:51[SPEAKER_24]: Yeah, you bust somebody occasionally, you know, but that's about it.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_24]: And what do you want to do about this scruffy people standing around?
- 54:03[SPEAKER_24]: And how much you can do?
- 54:07[SPEAKER_24]: But after doing her on the air.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_21]: Yeah, City Council should open up that grocery store over there and what is a C-way Clevver.
- 54:16[UNKNOWN]: Next to you.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_24]: Yeah, I know that'd be good.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_24]: We'd have to annex it.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_24]: We'd have to annex it.
- 54:20[SPEAKER_24]: Well, we'd have to annex it.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_24]: But, you know, it doesn't matter.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_24]: We can do it outside.
- 54:25[SPEAKER_24]: But yeah, that'd be fine.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_24]: That'd be a good location for the new city grub store or whatever you want to call it.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_24]: Would you shop there?
- 54:35[UNKNOWN]: Sure.
- 54:38[SPEAKER_24]: Okay, sounds good, sounds good.
- 54:40[SPEAKER_24]: All righty, well, anything else on your mind?
- 54:45[UNKNOWN]: Nope.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_24]: Nope, okay.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_21]: All right, where are you off to?
- 54:48[SPEAKER_21]: Maddie Daddy.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_24]: You're like Maddie Daddy?
- 54:53[UNKNOWN]: Yep.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_21]: Now, where do you get the spot when it's hot out?
- 54:58[SPEAKER_24]: Where do you get your Maddie Daddy?
- 55:01[SPEAKER_21]: A Freak Mystery Market.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_24]: Really?
- 55:04[SPEAKER_24]: How much you get the 25 ounce cans?
- 55:08[SPEAKER_24]: The big cans.
- 55:12[SPEAKER_21]: I think 250 or something like that.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_24]: 250 for a big can.
- 55:15[SPEAKER_24]: Okay.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_24]: Well, that's still not a bad, not a bad price.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_24]: So good.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_24]: How many cans can you drink in one sitting?
- 55:25[UNKNOWN]: Oh, couple.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_24]: Couple.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_24]: Then what happens?
- 55:31[SPEAKER_24]: Four.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_24]: Yeah, you're feeling it then?
- 55:34[SPEAKER_21]: Okay.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_24]: All right.
- 55:35[SPEAKER_24]: We'll enjoy a netty daddy.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_24]: I can't find him.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_24]: I mean, by and how is it, Bush?
- 55:41[SPEAKER_24]: So yeah, I don't know.
- 55:46[SPEAKER_24]: Listen, there's a big constituency for that.
- 55:49[SPEAKER_24]: You know, you've got your, you've got your lotty dyes out there and whatever they drink up at Ives or something like that, but, or at the Clipper, or the boat museum, or whatever else the elites gather, right?
- 56:08[SPEAKER_24]: But for just basic water challenge folk, a couple of times a netty daddy get her done, doesn't it?
- 56:17[SPEAKER_24]: And, you know, years ago, I actually tried carrying that.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_24]: And I stopped because it was problematic.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_24]: Because it gets people drunk.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_24]: They expect to get it to be cheap, but it's far more intoxicating than just a beer.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_24]: We stop doing it.
- 56:39[SPEAKER_24]: But, and I don't know if too many bars that Perry and Addy Daddy maybe, maybe a couple of them down on stage street or something, but let's see.
- 56:49[SPEAKER_24]: Okay, all righty, we can get just a couple of minutes left to chatter here on the show of shows.
- 56:54[SPEAKER_24]: And again, we, I say that we acknowledge that Brian Ashley was here and dropped off a couple of groceries for the friends of Thompson Park, which I'd love to talk about on the air.
- 57:06[SPEAKER_24]: But Brian, I don't know why, you know, he spent what, 40 years by the microphone, he used to work at CKLC up in Kingston, radio.
- 57:14[SPEAKER_24]: And then he came over here and he worked at our competing station on Mullen Street, I believe, and then he went for the glamour and went over to Channel 7, and anchored the news for several years.
- 57:25[SPEAKER_24]: He did all that on air work, but he's afraid to come into the little WATN studio and sit here for an hour and chat about old time.
- 57:35[SPEAKER_24]: Yeah, come on, Brian, you can do it.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_24]: How about tomorrow?
- 57:41[SPEAKER_24]: Yeah, and a bring her to bring in to, like to talk to her as well.
- 57:48[SPEAKER_24]: So, there you go.
- 57:51[SPEAKER_24]: Of course, they're not listening, because some people like to say, I don't listen to that show.
- 57:59[SPEAKER_24]: But somebody, they'll always say, well, somebody told me, you said,
- 58:03[SPEAKER_24]: I should come in.
- 58:04[SPEAKER_24]: Well, if that's the way we got to do it, we will.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_24]: So wherever that somebody is who tells them, please tell them.
- 58:09[SPEAKER_24]: Come on in tomorrow.
- 58:10[SPEAKER_24]: We'll talk about friends of Thompson Park.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_24]: Yeah, I'm a nice guy.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_24]: Nice guy.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_24]: Now, anyway, our North Country weather forecast, as it is, right now it's 76 degrees.
- 58:23[SPEAKER_24]: A couple of nice days coming up clear tonight down at 61.
- 58:28[SPEAKER_24]: That's not real cool, but it's still a good sleep in weather.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_24]: And then tomorrow, sunny in 85, before we see some clouds coming in, mid-week.
- 58:41[SPEAKER_24]: And let's see, I have 84 on Thursday and in 81.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_24]: Really, it's good picked-in while they really.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_24]: Chance of showers as a week goes on, but not bad picked-in weather.
- 58:55[SPEAKER_24]: A couple of texts came in here.
- 59:02[SPEAKER_24]: Well, somebody who says, looks like the city may have to pick up all the benches around state street in the square, homeless using them for beds, looks like bodies all over the place.
- 59:11[SPEAKER_23]: The very unattractor for waterchown and its businesses.
- 59:15[SPEAKER_24]: Hey, yeah?
- 59:16[SPEAKER_24]: Well, what do you want me to do about it?
- 59:21[SPEAKER_24]: I mean, if there's people, at least there's sleeping on the bench and not the ground, you know, we're a compassionate community.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_24]: We provide benches.
- 59:33[SPEAKER_24]: Um, but don't they have shelters and any, I can't, I can't figure that whole issue well.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_24]: Anyway, that's it for today Glenn Curry will be in at five o'clock.
- 59:42[SPEAKER_24]: You'll want to tune in to the live at five Show and you're listening to the hotline right here on the Community Broadcaster stations.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_24]: There's WQTK, 92.7, eyedanceberg, and AM-1240 WATN right here in Watertown.
- 59:57[SPEAKER_24]: Time, one o'clock.
- 59:58[SPEAKER_24]: We've got ABC News.
