- 0:01We be good, O6 says hello all much more fun watching Starship
- 0:05than New Glenn. I think it's more exciting
- 0:08because you never know what's going to happen with Starship.
- 0:10We be good. So because it's still such a
- 0:14prototype that it's so much more fun to just hope that everything
- 0:21goes well. I do that with like every every
- 0:24rocket launch too. I want every rocket launch to go
- 0:27well, I want everything to work out.
- 0:29But Starship, if you're watching Starship and you're like, oh,
- 0:33this is going to be exciting and it's going to be it's kind of
- 0:37reckless and it's kind of punk rock in a way.
- 0:40But at the same time, it's like, man, don't blow up.
- 0:44Just don't Rudd, please. I want cool stuff to happen in
- 0:48space. I don't want to rut for
- 0:49Starship. I want cool stuff to happen.
- 0:53I want us to launch and land these things.
- 0:55I want six of these per per day to launch.
- 0:58That'd be insane. 6 launches and 12 landings would be insane.
- 1:03They could rush it, but will they?
- 1:07I think the. I think the program has matured
- 1:09enough and I think the, I think the head of Starbase in
- 1:16engineering at Starbase, even though Elon is still the
- 1:20engineer, right? He's the top engineer.
- 1:22I don't think they're going to rush it because they have proven
- 1:28to everybody so far that they know how to make prototypes.
- 1:34They haven't proven yet that they know how to make a fully
- 1:40capable super heavy lift rocket that's orbital and is dependable
- 1:48for missions other than prototypes.
- 1:52They haven't done that yet. And I'm like I said before, I
- 1:55want SpaceX to succeed. I am not a hater.
- 1:59I want them to succeed. I have a podcast called the Elon
- 2:01Musk Podcast because I'm a fan of what the guy does.
- 2:05You can check it out on all podcast platforms.
- 2:07Look, for me, there's a stupid idiot out there that's trying to
- 2:10RIP me off even though my podcast was there first.
- 2:13But there's a pod. I have a podcast about the guy
- 2:16because I believe in the things that he does.
- 2:19But the fact of the matter, and I've been doing that for five
- 2:22years. I've been doing this channel for
- 2:23five years. I wouldn't do this if I didn't
- 2:24like it, and I wouldn't do it if I didn't believe in it.
- 2:27But I think the fact that it's still a prototype and you have
- 2:31to think about this in your heart of hearts.
- 2:33People think about this in your heart.
- 2:37It's going to take more time because they want to get it
- 2:41right and they want to be at the company that sends the next
- 2:43people back to Mars. It's going to be wild.
- 2:49It's going to be wild in the next 6 months.
- 2:51In the next year. Things are going to ramp up
- 2:54dramatically for Starship. I think the ramp up for this is
- 2:59going to go like, because right now it's like going up and up
- 3:03and up. And then I think this year is
- 3:05going to go like straight up because once they hit orbit and
- 3:10once they start doing missions in orbit, once they start
- 3:13launching Starlinks, like dozens of Starlinks at the same time, I
- 3:19think people are going to really pay attention.
- 3:21I think people pay attention now, but they're like, that's a
- 3:24prototype. You know, especially people that
- 3:26know what's up, they, they think they know it's a prototype.
- 3:33They know things could go wrong. And if you don't think things
- 3:36are going to go wrong, then you're just being naive.
- 3:38But if the fact that Starship actually launches and
- 3:43successfully orbits and succeeds in their missions, whatever
- 3:46those missions are for paid customers or for Starlink, by
- 3:50the way, Starlink is a paid customer for SpaceX.
- 3:53They're kind of two entities. So Elon does this really well.
- 3:58He has a bunch of different companies and those companies
- 4:01pay each other, so he keeps all the money.
- 4:05Basically. He's like, well, I need
- 4:07satellites. So I'm going to make a company
- 4:09called Starlink. And then I'm going to make this
- 4:10company called I'm going to make Tesla robots.
- 4:14I'm going to make parts from Tesla that work with Starship.
- 4:22It's funny though. It's very funny.
- 4:24I, I'm going to say nice things anyway, man, Blue Origin killed
- 4:27it last time they killed it, they got, they got a great
- 4:29performance. I'm going to, I'm not a hater.
- 4:32I if somebody does something well, I'm not going to be like
- 4:35SpaceX #1 Blue Origin sucks. Like that's stupid.
- 4:38Go back to high school. You know, what are you a jock?
- 4:40Not you, zesty. I'm just saying like who's going
- 4:43to take position? Who's going to take a side like
- 4:45that? That's just silly.
- 4:47Not you, not you, zesty. I'm just saying people that are
- 4:51like total haters of either company.
- 4:53It's like, dude, one, it's a giant corporation.
- 4:58You're you're literally rooting for a giant corporation.
- 5:01It's like, dude, I want Walmart to win.
- 5:04No, I want Target to win, not you, Zesty.
- 5:08I'm just reinforcing the fact that people that are tribal
- 5:11about spaceflight, I don't get it.
- 5:15I don't get it because you know, the whole team space thing.
- 5:18I want everybody to go to orbit. I want everybody to go to space.
- 5:22I want every company to succeed. I'm a fan of spaceflight am IA
- 5:27fan of SpaceX, yes, am IA fan of Blue Origin, absolutely.
- 5:31I want them all to succeed. I want all I the politics of it
- 5:33suck. The politics of it or it's
- 5:36stupid. It's stupid.
- 5:39I don't know why people, not just us, but the other people
- 5:45that are in charge, like the politics of the people in
- 5:49charge, it's just disgusting. You know, there's, there's
- 5:53people and I don't care who's in charge.
- 5:55Jared Isaacman is a good dude in charge of NASA.
- 5:58Soon, hopefully, man, I hope he changes some stuff around
- 6:05because there's some just some just negative, negative things
- 6:11going on. And it's just politics, you
- 6:14know, like we were talking about earlier, Jim Bryan Stein and his
- 6:16lobbying group making millions of dollars just to talk to
- 6:21people about stuff, you know, and the, the fact that people
- 6:25are like being so. And I've, I've had these people,
- 6:29right? So I was on the side of Hwy. 4
- 6:34while they were building the first iteration of Starship.
- 6:36I was there for like a year, right?
- 6:38And people would come up to me and they would be very political
- 6:44and they'd say things like, because this is when Elon wasn't
- 6:49very political. Like he was, he was pretty like,
- 6:51I don't know, pretty in the middle about stuff.
- 6:56And people would come up to me and be like, Elon is just an
- 7:00idiot, whatever, You know, just talk about politics, about Elon
- 7:04and about SpaceX and stuff. And I'm like, dude, don't you
- 7:07want to see this rocket fly? I'm like, it's not about the, I
- 7:12mean, sure, Elon has done some very questionable things.
- 7:16He's a very questionable, he's a very, let's just say intriguing
- 7:20person to see it nicely. But he like, we don't talk about
- 7:27that when we talk about rockets, right?
- 7:29We talk about the Rockets. We talk about the things that
- 7:31they do. We talk about the missions.
- 7:33We talk about the important things that are going to be
- 7:35happening, people living and working in space, people living
- 7:39off Earth's gravity, like away from Earth's gravity and
- 7:42somewhere in the solar system, like how many people have lived
- 7:47off of Earth, Zero, they've done work on the moon.
- 7:54They haven't lived off the Earth once somebody lives off the
- 7:58Earth, like goes to Mars. And even I would say, I would
- 8:03say do a little trip, a little camping trip on Mars for a week.
- 8:12That wouldn't be considered living off Earth.
- 8:15I mean, you're, you're going to be out for a year or two, right?
- 8:18Because you're going to have to fly there and back.
- 8:21But that's, I don't know, it's a tough one too.
