- 0:10Speaker 1: God bless football, Mikey A.
- 0:15Speaker 2: God bless football, Taylor.
- 0:17Speaker 3: God bless football, Stu Gatz.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Wow, some excitement from Taylor today. Very, very exciting. Yeah,
- 0:23Speaker 1: that he's so excited. After a big football weekend, what
- 0:27Speaker 1: do you have for us? Here he goes.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Can I tell you where my excitement comes from? Because
- 0:31Speaker 3: this proves my NFL fandom here, how selfish an NFL
- 0:34Speaker 3: fan I am at this point.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Right.
- 0:36Speaker 3: I say I'm a Patriots fan. I'm not really a
- 0:38Speaker 3: Patriots fan. I'm a Mack Hollins fan.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Yes.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Yesterday, if you watch Jaguars-Patriots, you know who led the
- 0:44Speaker 3: Patriots in receiving?
- 0:45Speaker 1: Mack Hollins.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Mack Hollins.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Yes.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Led the way.
- 0:48Speaker 4: I would have said a Jaguar.
- 0:50Speaker 3: Matt Collins led the way in an absolute blowout. But
- 0:53Speaker 3: because my friend was able to get his, it was
- 0:56Speaker 3: a good day for me.
- 0:57Speaker 1: So that's like a win for you, right? Yes? Yeah,
- 0:59Speaker 1: I'm 1-0 this week. He wishes he was playing with
- 1:03Speaker 1: another quarterback. I don't care what you tell me. He
- 1:06Speaker 1: does because Drake May forgot how to play football.
- 1:08Speaker 4: It's weird.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Let's see if J.J. McCarthy has remembered how to play
- 1:12Speaker 1: football because, guys, we have breaking news on a big
- 1:16Speaker 1: Football Monday. Breaking news today. J.J. McCarthy traded from the
- 1:21Speaker 1: Vikings to the New York Giants. How about that?
- 1:26Speaker 3: Yeah, so it's a fifth-round pick going back to Minnesota.
- 1:31Speaker 3: I don't get this trade from the Giants' perspective because
- 1:34Speaker 3: you give up a fifth-round pick for a failed development quarterback.
- 1:37Speaker 3: There's nothing about J.J. McCarthy's play at quarterback to suggest
- 1:41Speaker 3: that he's a win-now option. And I think a fifth-round
- 1:44Speaker 3: pick is overpaying for what we've seen from the former No.
- 1:47Speaker 3: 10 overall pick. You would have to give me a
- 1:50Speaker 3: fifth-round pick at this point to take J.J.
- 1:51Speaker 1: McCarthy. But there's always a coach who thinks he could
- 1:54Speaker 1: fix it, and this happens to be the brother of
- 1:56Speaker 1: the coach who coached him in college. Imagine how that
- 1:58Speaker 1: conversation went down, because you know there was a conversation
- 2:01Speaker 1: before John Harbaugh went and traded to get J.J. McCarthy,
- 2:05Speaker 1: who played for his brother at Michigan, Jim Harbaugh. I'm
- 2:09Speaker 1: surprised Jim didn't inquire. I mean, the way his quarterback's playing, geez.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Yeah, but John Harbaugh is the one who thinks he
- 2:16Speaker 3: can fix J.J. McCarthy when he's playing in Minnesota with
- 2:19Speaker 3: Mikey's so-called quarterback whisper, and he's going to hand over J.J.
- 2:23Speaker 3: McCarthy to Matt Nagy?
- 2:25Speaker 1: I'm not saying he can or he can't. I'm just
- 2:27Speaker 1: saying there's always a coach who thinks he can. That's
- 2:29Speaker 1: all I'm saying. And John Harbaugh is that coach. Yeah, Mikey.
- 2:33Speaker 2: First of all, when you said that he got traded
- 2:36Speaker 2: to the New York Giants, my heart skipped a beat.
- 2:38Speaker 4: I thought you were going to say the New York Jets.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I take it.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Because I was like, oh, no, please no. But I mean,
- 2:46Speaker 2: I don't think they traded for J.J. McCarthy to be
- 2:48Speaker 2: a win now guy. I think they traded him because
- 2:52Speaker 2: your starting quarterback is Jameis Winston, who has been hurt
- 2:55Speaker 2: in the past. who is getting older, and who's playing
- 2:58Speaker 2: behind an offensive line that hasn't looked really good, I
- 3:01Speaker 2: think they traded a fifth-round pick for a backup option
- 3:04Speaker 2: that maybe has a higher ceiling than others.
- 3:07Speaker 1: It's a backup option with the potential to start if
- 3:10Speaker 1: they could, you know, if John Harbaugh could fix them.
- 3:13Speaker 1: There is potential to start, but I'm with Mikey on this.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Even though the Giants won, they beat a bad Titans team,
- 3:18Speaker 1: the Jets beat that team. Cam Ward, I have no
- 3:20Speaker 1: idea if he's good still. In fact, I'm going to
- 3:21Speaker 1: say it. He's not. Yeah, he's not. He's not very good. But, listen,
- 3:27Speaker 1: it was an unimpressive win. They weren't great offensively. Jameis
- 3:30Speaker 1: was not great. I'm with Mikey. It's worth a fifth-round
- 3:34Speaker 1: pick to get a solid backup who is young, who
- 3:37Speaker 1: has some potential. That's all. Has some upside. That's it.
- 3:40Speaker 3: I guess where we're just going to have to agree
- 3:41Speaker 3: to disagree is saying that he's a solid backup. Because
- 3:44Speaker 3: nothing about J.J. McCarthy's play suggests that he's a solid
- 3:49Speaker 3: option at the quarterback position. And I think if you're
- 3:51Speaker 3: a Giants fan, if Jameis goes down and J.J. McCarthy,
- 3:56Speaker 3: if nine has to stroll into the game... There's no
- 3:59Speaker 3: way you could tell me your confidence level goes up
- 4:02Speaker 3: or at the very least stays the same. And I
- 4:04Speaker 3: feel bad for Giants fans today who I have a
- 4:07Speaker 3: ton of Giants fans in my life. I felt bad
- 4:09Speaker 3: for them because I thought the worst news that they
- 4:11Speaker 3: were going to get today was Brian Burns tearing his ACL.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Right.
- 4:14Speaker 1: And then J.J.
- 4:14Speaker 3: McCarthy trade news strolls right around. I'm like, oh, man.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Yep.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Insult to injury.
- 4:19Speaker 1: I don't feel bad for them. They're two and one.
- 4:25Speaker 1: I mean, they are. They're two and one. What do
- 4:28Speaker 1: you have for us here before we get to winners
- 4:29Speaker 1: and losers? I am told you have a prediction you
- 4:32Speaker 1: made back in March that might be true, that might
- 4:36Speaker 1: That might be accurate. So what was the prediction you
- 4:39Speaker 1: made back in March that we all forgot about?
- 4:40Speaker 4: Hold on.
- 4:41Speaker 1: I know. Hold on. What are we doing here?
- 4:43Speaker 4: Look at his face right now.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Look at the, I'm trying to hide this smile, but
- 4:47Speaker 2: I'm not really trying to hide the smile face he
- 4:50Speaker 2: has on right now.
- 4:50Speaker 1: I promise you.
- 4:51Speaker 4: He is so proud of himself.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Whatever's about to come in the next two minutes, Taylor
- 4:57Speaker 2: is so happy with himself.
- 4:59Speaker 3: I know.
- 4:59Speaker 1: And I promise you there are 17 other predictions he
- 5:01Speaker 1: made in March that he's not going to bring up today.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Go ahead. What's the prediction?
- 5:06Speaker 3: So this prediction came on the heels of the Ravens
- 5:10Speaker 3: Raiders trade of Max Crosby falling through where the Ravens
- 5:14Speaker 3: said that Max Crosby failed his physical. Max Crosby was
- 5:17Speaker 3: going to return to the Raiders. And we're talking about
- 5:20Speaker 3: what this trade means for the Raiders, what it means
- 5:22Speaker 3: for the Ravens. And this was our analysis of it.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Or if you're the Raiders, you got to try and
- 5:26Speaker 2: find somebody that's willing to give you something close to
- 5:29Speaker 2: what the Ravens did.
- 5:30Speaker 1: No one will.
- 5:31Speaker 3: To the point of the Raiders revamping their roster, they
- 5:34Speaker 3: add Tyler Linderbaum at center. They add Quay Walker and
- 5:38Speaker 3: N'Kobe Dean at linebacker. They add Jalen Naylor at receiver.
- 5:43Speaker 3: You know who's a good piece to add to that?
- 5:45Speaker 4: Max Crosby. Max Crosby.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Then you draft Fernando Mendoza.
- 5:52Speaker 4: And all of a sudden.
- 5:53Speaker 3: I'm kind of talking myself into the Raiders.
- 5:56Speaker 1: And you're 3-0 with Kirk Cousins. I said it.
- 5:59Speaker 3: I said it. I was in March. I was looking
- 6:02Speaker 3: at the Raiders roster, and I was saying, yes, this
- 6:05Speaker 3: team was the worst team in the NFL where they
- 6:07Speaker 3: got the number one pick. But you bring in Clint Kubiak.
- 6:09Speaker 3: You bring in some of these pieces on the defensive
- 6:12Speaker 3: side of the ball. All of a sudden, you could
- 6:14Speaker 3: talk yourself into this Raider roster. Now, what I didn't
- 6:17Speaker 3: see at the time was Kirk Cousins coming in and
- 6:20Speaker 3: elevating this team even further.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Right. You can talk yourself into this Raiders roster until
- 6:25Speaker 1: they play the Chiefs, and I think that's next week.
- 6:27Speaker 3: That might be a who's who game.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Really? I think the Chiefs know exactly who they are.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Go ahead, Mikey.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Do you know what the line is for that game
- 6:36Speaker 2: in Vegas? The game is in Vegas. I'm not saying
- 6:38Speaker 2: the line in Vegas like at the sports book.
- 6:41Speaker 4: But do you know what the line is for that game?
- 6:42Speaker 4: I couldn't believe it.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Ooh, guess the spread. Oh, guess the line. Is that
- 6:45Speaker 1: something Bill Simmons does? We love Bill Simmons. All things
- 6:48Speaker 1: Bill Simmons.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Sunday staple for him.
- 6:49Speaker 4: Cousin Sal.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Are we stealing from Simmons right now? I don't mind
- 6:52Speaker 1: that we're stealing from Simmons.
- 6:53Speaker 3: We're playing on the same team with FanDuel, yeah.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Okay, I mean, listen, I love Bill Simmons. He has
- 6:58Speaker 1: stolen plenty from me. So anyway.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Billy Gill included.
- 7:03Speaker 1: The most important thing he's stolen from me. I owe
- 7:05Speaker 1: him one or two or three or four. So, okay,
- 7:09Speaker 1: we're going to guess the line here. The game is
- 7:11Speaker 1: in Las Vegas or Kansas City?
- 7:13Speaker 4: The game is in Vegas.
- 7:14Speaker 2: And before you give me your guess, what do you
- 7:16Speaker 2: think that spread probably would have been preseason? If you
- 7:19Speaker 2: would have said, hey, week four matchup, Patrick Mahomes is
- 7:22Speaker 2: all the way back playing the Raiders.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Right. I would guess something close to what the spread
- 7:28Speaker 1: was against the Dolphins yesterday, minus 10, minus 10.5, something
- 7:31Speaker 1: like that. Sure.
- 7:32Speaker 4: Yeah. Okay.
- 7:33Speaker 1: All right.
- 7:34Speaker 4: I would have said probably more. I would have said
- 7:35Speaker 4: probably 12-and-a-half, 13.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Okay, you're probably right. Taylor, so we're going to guess
- 7:40Speaker 1: the spread for this week. That is the setting of
- 7:43Speaker 1: the backdrop. We're going to guess the spread for this
- 7:46Speaker 1: week's game. Both teams are 3-0. I can't believe I'm
- 7:49Speaker 1: saying that. This Raiders team is frisky. I'm going to
- 7:52Speaker 1: go with a guess the line of. They're at home.
- 7:56Speaker 3: I'm going to guess 7-and-a-half. The Chiefs are favored by 7-and-a-half.
- 7:59Speaker 1: I'm going to say the Chiefs are favored minus 3-and-a-half.
- 8:03Speaker 4: It's four and a half.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Wow.
- 8:06Speaker 4: Four and a half.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Wow.
- 8:08Speaker 4: I would have been, I was so surprised that that is,
- 8:14Speaker 4: that is all they.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Believe that the, the, the, the chiefs who were saying
- 8:17Speaker 2: Patrick Mahomes is back.
- 8:18Speaker 4: They have this elite level defense.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Spags against Kirk cousins and the Las Vegas Raiders.
- 8:25Speaker 4: They're saying no four points. Yep.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Makes sense. They're three and oh, who they beat in
- 8:31Speaker 1: their three games. The Raiders I'm talking about. I know
- 8:34Speaker 1: they beat the Saints yesterday on the road.
- 8:36Speaker 3: Dolphins, Chargers.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Dolphins, Chargers. So we're still waiting for them to play somebody.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Dolphins are given a clinic and had a tank. I'm sorry.
- 8:46Speaker 4: Chargers, Dolphins, and Saints. There's one win between those three teams.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Right. But we thought the Chargers would be better. The
- 8:55Speaker 1: Saints are better. That was the most impressive victory for
- 8:58Speaker 1: the Raiders was beating the Saints on the road. The
- 9:01Speaker 1: Saints coming off that big victory the week before. Who
- 9:03Speaker 1: have the Chiefs beaten here early on? I forget who
- 9:06Speaker 1: they've played.
- 9:07Speaker 3: Colts, Broncos, Dolphins.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Dolphins. All right, so they both played the Dolphins. Who
- 9:14Speaker 1: do you like in that game? Because I'm thinking about
- 9:15Speaker 1: pounding the Chiefs. This is a game where the Chiefs
- 9:18Speaker 1: remind the Raiders who they are, meaning the Raiders, hey,
- 9:22Speaker 1: you're 3-0 off to a nice little start here, okay?
- 9:26Speaker 1: But we have won a ton of Super Bowls. We
- 9:27Speaker 1: have Patrick Mahomes. This is a game where the Chiefs
- 9:30Speaker 1: remind both the Raiders and the Chiefs, who they are.
- 9:33Speaker 1: How about that? Does that make sense?
- 9:35Speaker 4: How about that was a cute three weeks. Congratulations.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Right.
- 9:39Speaker 2: You've got more wins now or the same amount of
- 9:41Speaker 2: wins now as you did all of last year.
- 9:43Speaker 4: Yes. That was really good. Thank you for telling everybody
- 9:46Speaker 4: this is a great division.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Right.
- 9:48Speaker 4: But get back where you belong, little brother.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Yep. I am pounding the Chiefs. I will buy that
- 9:52Speaker 1: half point. I will make it four before that thing
- 9:57Speaker 1: climbs to seven or eight points. Maybe 10%. Who knows?
- 10:00Speaker 1: What do you have?
- 10:01Speaker 4: Chiefs win by 12. All right.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Chiefs win by 12.
- 10:04Speaker 4: Buy the half point. Chiefs win by 12.
- 10:07Speaker 1: It's such a stupid exercise. I'm going to stop picking games.
- 10:10Speaker 1: I'm terrible at it. Stugatz here. Welcome to your most

- 11:48Speaker 1: Taylor has a, before we get to winners and losers,
- 11:51Speaker 1: and it was a great weekend, Saturday and Sunday, Taylor
- 11:55Speaker 1: has a new segment, I believe it's a new segment,
- 11:57Speaker 1: called Glass Half Full. So what are we doing here, Taylor?
- 12:02Speaker 1: What do you have for us on glass half full?
- 12:04Speaker 3: So we're going to say we're going to go around
- 12:07Speaker 3: the room and you say glass half full. You'll get
- 12:09Speaker 3: a sounder and then you have to spin zone a
- 12:13Speaker 3: team that lost into why it's it's not the worst
- 12:17Speaker 3: loss in the world and why the glass might be
- 12:19Speaker 3: half full for them.
- 12:20Speaker 1: OK.
- 12:21Speaker 4: OK.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Confused a little bit.
- 12:23Speaker 4: Why don't you show us how I'll start it off.
- 12:26Speaker 4: All right.
- 12:27Speaker 3: Glass half full.
- 12:28Speaker 4: Yeah. Ooh, that's a big glass.
- 12:32Speaker 1: I like it.
- 12:33Speaker 3: If you're the New York Jets, you have to come
- 12:36Speaker 3: away impressed from that game with the Detroit Lions simply
- 12:39Speaker 3: because of the fact that you have a... bona fide No.
- 12:42Speaker 3: 1 receiver in Garrett Wilson, and your first-round pick at
- 12:46Speaker 3: tight end, Sadiq. Sadiq looks like he's on his way
- 12:49Speaker 3: to being a top-five tight end in the NFL. Now,
- 12:52Speaker 3: Geno was good in that game, but if you could
- 12:54Speaker 3: really nail the quarterback position in this upcoming draft with
- 12:57Speaker 3: how many first-round picks the Jets have and how good
- 13:00Speaker 3: some of those first-round picks look, the glass might be
- 13:03Speaker 3: half-full in New York. That's how you do it.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Can I point.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Out the empty half of the glass? It's only half full.
- 13:14Speaker 1: It's always empty in New York. Entirely empty. All of it.
- 13:18Speaker 1: As your son turns to you, Mikey, at any point
- 13:20Speaker 1: and said, don't take Garrett Wilson in the first round, huh?
- 13:24Speaker 4: No, I mean, he's been pretty good, huh?
- 13:27Speaker 1: He has been pretty good.
- 13:29Speaker 3: You should get a segment on the show.
- 13:30Speaker 4: All right.
- 13:30Speaker 1: So your glass half full is that jet loss was
- 13:35Speaker 1: not as bad. There are some things you see there,
- 13:37Speaker 1: some building blocks.
- 13:39Speaker 3: You have two main building blocks on your offense with
- 13:42Speaker 3: Garrett Wilson and Kenyon Sadiq.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Okay. But a quarterback is what we're always missing.
- 13:46Speaker 4: Yes.
- 13:46Speaker 3: The quarterback's not bad.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Well, he's old. Go ahead, Mikey. Mikey's dying to play
- 13:54Speaker 1: the game. No, no, no.
- 13:55Speaker 4: Listen, I think I get how the game goes. Okay.
- 13:57Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:58Speaker 1: All right.
- 13:59Speaker 4: Glass half full.
- 14:03Speaker 1: That's a full glass, man. It's a big glass. It's
- 14:07Speaker 1: a pint, I think.
- 14:07Speaker 4: It's a big glass.
- 14:08Speaker 1: My bad.
- 14:09Speaker 4: Semantics.
- 14:09Speaker 1: I feel like Izzy. I'm sorry.
- 14:12Speaker 4: The Bucs might be 0-3.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Yes.
- 14:15Speaker 4: But they're one game out of first place in that division.
- 14:18Speaker 3: Yep.
- 14:18Speaker 2: And they just got some good news on Baker Mayfield.
- 14:22Speaker 2: There's no ligament damage, no break for his thumb. He
- 14:25Speaker 2: should be out probably about three weeks. Now you're going
- 14:27Speaker 2: to get Baker coming back with maybe a little bit.
- 14:30Speaker 4: Of a chip on his shoulder. Maybe Baker comes back
- 14:33Speaker 4: three weeks from now and they're like, hey, Baker, you
- 14:35Speaker 4: get hurt too much.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Baker, you can't win from being down this many games.
- 14:41Speaker 4: Your season is already over.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Maybe you get a chip on his shoulder, Baker Mayfield,
- 14:46Speaker 2: and they're only one game out.
- 14:53Speaker 1: I was told I have to wait for the drink
- 14:55Speaker 1: to pour before I could say anything. The problem, the
- 14:58Speaker 1: real injury to Baker Mayfield is they removed the chip
- 15:01Speaker 1: from his shoulder. That's the real problem, is it not?
- 15:06Speaker 1: I mean, I feel like you could be 0-9 in
- 15:08Speaker 1: that division and still be a game out.
- 15:12Speaker 4: Put it on the poll.
- 15:15Speaker 1: The NFC South, Taylor, put it on the poll. Could
- 15:18Speaker 1: you be 0-9 and still only be a game out
- 15:21Speaker 1: in that division? All right, so I get to try
- 15:23Speaker 1: it out. Glass half full. I feel like the Cincinnati
- 15:33Speaker 1: Bengals lost. I was shocked they lost to the Steelers,
- 15:36Speaker 1: but they lost that game. They're still 2-1. They're still
- 15:39Speaker 1: very much in that division. They're obviously a better team. Again,
- 15:43Speaker 1: shocked that the Steelers won that game, but it's not
- 15:46Speaker 1: the end of the world for the Bengals. They lost
- 15:48Speaker 1: a road game in the division to Pittsburgh. I feel like,
- 15:51Speaker 1: and I was surprised that Joe Burrow was not able
- 15:54Speaker 1: to get that done, but It was a loss, just
- 15:57Speaker 1: a loss, and the Bengals are going to be just fine.
- 16:04Speaker 3: I'm kind of with you there because anytime you watch
- 16:06Speaker 3: the Cincinnati Bengals and Joe Burrow, there's a reason why
- 16:10Speaker 3: people can't quit Joe Burrow. He goes to the Super
- 16:14Speaker 3: Bowl early in his career. He hasn't really had any
- 16:17Speaker 3: postseason success since. And there's some questions like, does he
- 16:21Speaker 3: need a better defense? Does he need a better offensive line?
- 16:25Speaker 3: As a passer, Joe Burrow is about as flawless as
- 16:28Speaker 3: you could get from your quarterback position.
- 16:31Speaker 4: Yes.
- 16:31Speaker 3: And there is a certain confidence that comes like, okay,
- 16:34Speaker 3: Joe Burrow just has to get to the playoffs this
- 16:36Speaker 3: year healthy, and then hopefully your defense is better and
- 16:40Speaker 3: takes over. And with the AFC North, it feels like
- 16:42Speaker 3: you could almost throw all those results away because those
- 16:45Speaker 3: teams have such familiarity with each other that every game
- 16:49Speaker 3: that they play winds up being close no matter what.
- 16:51Speaker 3: You know, how good the teams are here.
- 16:53Speaker 1: All four teams in that division, two and one. Exactly.
- 16:57Speaker 4: That's gross. That's gross. Why is it gross?
- 17:00Speaker 1: I mean, it's a good division. Is it?
- 17:04Speaker 4: Is it?
- 17:05Speaker 1: Well, it is. Come on. I mean.
- 17:07Speaker 4: Is it?
- 17:08Speaker 3: And, Stu, this stat from yesterday, Joe Burrow recorded a
- 17:11Speaker 3: career-high 95.4 QBR in today's loss to the Steelers. So, like,
- 17:16Speaker 3: you can have as many questions as you want about
- 17:18Speaker 3: the Cincinnati Bengals today. coming off their first loss of
- 17:20Speaker 3: the season, none of those questions really revolve around your
- 17:23Speaker 3: quarterback position, which is the most important position.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Was it hard to– well, I wasn't cheering for him,
- 17:28Speaker 1: but how did you guys feel about Deshaun Watson yesterday
- 17:31Speaker 1: and the Browns getting that victory? He's hard to cheer for.
- 17:34Speaker 3: I didn't even consider turning on that.
- 17:36Speaker 4: Really?
- 17:37Speaker 3: That Panthers-Brown team.
- 17:40Speaker 2: I had six games on, and I wouldn't even– that
- 17:43Speaker 2: one was last on the list. Like, I would have
- 17:46Speaker 2: put on, like– Something other than football before I put
- 17:49Speaker 2: that game.
- 17:51Speaker 4: And I like the Panthers.
- 17:53Speaker 3: That's a terrible loss, though, if you're the Carolina Panthers.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Oh, it's an awful loss. But that's strictly, Mikey, because
- 17:58Speaker 1: of Deshaun Watson. You just don't want to watch that
- 18:00Speaker 1: guy have any sort of success. You just don't want
- 18:01Speaker 1: to watch them, right?
- 18:03Speaker 2: It's that team. There's nothing exciting about them. I mean,
- 18:08Speaker 2: what do you want? There's no Miles Garrett where you're like, hey,
- 18:10Speaker 2: maybe I'll get to see Miles Garrett have three sacks.
- 18:14Speaker 4: There's nothing exciting about the Cleveland Browns.
- 18:17Speaker 2: I got to tell you, there might be one NFL
- 18:21Speaker 2: game on Thursday night, and I might not watch it.
- 18:24Speaker 1: How great is this? The Browns are better without Miles Garrett.
- 18:28Speaker 1: They're 2-1, and the team he was traded to is 1-2.
- 18:31Speaker 1: The NFL, man, it is the greatest thing going. I
- 18:34Speaker 1: don't care if you weren't entertained by that game. I
- 18:36Speaker 1: don't care if you don't want to root for Deshaun Watson.
- 18:39Speaker 1: I understand why. But the idea that the Browns are
- 18:42Speaker 1: 2-1 and the team that Miles Garrett went to to
- 18:45Speaker 1: win a Super Bowl is 1-2 and he's out for
- 18:48Speaker 1: the next four weeks. It's just that's why we love
- 18:50Speaker 1: the NFL, I think, right? Anything can happen on any
- 18:53Speaker 1: given year on any given Sunday. And it's happening right now.
- 18:57Speaker 1: The Raiders are 3-0. Did you guys see the hit?
- 19:00Speaker 1: I can't remember his name. Number 44 on the Dolphins.
- 19:04Speaker 1: That hit he had on Patrick Mahomes. Chop Robinson. Yes,
- 19:07Speaker 1: in the end. What is he supposed to do there?
- 19:10Speaker 1: How is he supposed to? Why is that a flag?
- 19:13Speaker 1: How is he supposed to pull up that quickly when
- 19:16Speaker 1: Mahomes is in throwing motion and he's trying to chase
- 19:19Speaker 1: him down? It was a terrible call. I'm not certain
- 19:22Speaker 1: what a D lineman is supposed to do in that spot.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Did you guys? Well, you weren't watching that.
- 19:26Speaker 4: Of course we watched it.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Okay. I mean, yes, it is God bless football. I understand.
- 19:31Speaker 1: But you won't watch the Browns again. I'm just asking,
- 19:33Speaker 1: what do you want a defensive lineman to do in
- 19:35Speaker 1: that situation?
- 19:36Speaker 3: The penalty that I have a bigger problem with today
- 19:39Speaker 3: is the penalty in the Rams-Broncos game where the Rams
- 19:44Speaker 3: all but got the game-sealing interception and the refs come
- 19:47Speaker 3: and say it's a pass interference and they're going to
- 19:49Speaker 3: the end rules analyst and saying, no, that shouldn't be
- 19:53Speaker 3: pass interference. I don't understand how pass interference determines the
- 19:58Speaker 3: most amount of games, and we're not saying that that's
- 20:01Speaker 3: a reviewable play, all because the one season it was,
- 20:05Speaker 3: the refs got in their feelings every time they got
- 20:08Speaker 3: questioned saying, let's challenge pass interference, and they were like, oh, no,
- 20:12Speaker 3: we're not going to overturn this call because it's not
- 20:15Speaker 3: clear and obvious. Like, if you're the Rams today, I
- 20:17Speaker 3: think you have a pretty big gripe with the officiating
- 20:20Speaker 3: in that game where the Broncos got, like, nine chances
- 20:23Speaker 3: inside the 10 to score, and then they finally gave
- 20:28Speaker 3: up the play. And you know it's a bad call
- 20:31Speaker 3: when everybody– that's a football fan is on the side
- 20:36Speaker 3: of the Rams right now where the Rams come in
- 20:38Speaker 3: as the preseason favorites. Everybody seems to be wanting to
- 20:41Speaker 3: root against Sean McVay in this team. And everybody watching
- 20:45Speaker 3: that game is like, yeah, I think the Rams got,
- 20:47Speaker 3: got screwed pretty bad. I think pass interference has to
- 20:49Speaker 3: be reviewable.
- 20:50Speaker 1: If there's a coach that fans want to root for
- 20:52Speaker 1: or root against less, it's, it's Sean Payton.
- 20:57Speaker 3: Maybe that's why they're rushing to the Rams defense.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Yes. All right, let's get to what do you got, Mikey,
- 21:04Speaker 1: before we get to winners and losers? It seemed like
- 21:06Speaker 1: you had some.
- 21:06Speaker 4: I was just I was just thinking about what you said. Like, oh, man,
- 21:10Speaker 4: the NFL. How crazy is it? Miles Garrett gets traded.
- 21:14Speaker 4: This this just hit me.
- 21:16Speaker 2: The Patriots, Texans, Chargers, Packers, Bucks and Cowboys all have
- 21:23Speaker 2: the same amount of wins combined.
- 21:25Speaker 4: As the Raiders, it's stupid and awesome.
- 21:29Speaker 3: Raiders, good team.
- 21:30Speaker 4: Say those teams.
- 21:33Speaker 1: I don't know if the Raiders are good.
- 21:35Speaker 3: I know.
- 21:36Speaker 1: No, you don't. Four and a half. Who are you
- 21:39Speaker 1: taking this weekend, huh?
- 21:41Speaker 3: I'm going down with the Raiders.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Are you?
- 21:43Speaker 3: That's such a crap line. That line is begging people
- 21:46Speaker 3: to bet my homes.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Yes, it's kind of like the Mississippi-Florida spread from the weekend.
- 21:50Speaker 1: I mean, they were begging you, and I did. I
- 21:53Speaker 1: bought it. And I took Mississippi, and I felt stupid
- 21:57Speaker 1: by halftime. Anyway, let's get to winners and losers here
- 22:00Speaker 1: from the NFL weekend. Give me the music.
- 22:08Speaker 3: My first winner from the weekend.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Yes.
- 22:12Speaker 3: Broncos offensive coordinator, Davis Webb. They were getting shut out
- 22:18Speaker 3: at halftime, 16-0.
- 22:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:20Speaker 3: And the entire broadcast... Collinsworth said the start to the
- 22:24Speaker 3: half was basically a drive for Davis Webb's job because
- 22:29Speaker 3: everybody thinks that Sean Payton is just waiting in the
- 22:32Speaker 3: shadows to take back play calling. And the only reason
- 22:34Speaker 3: Sean Payton gave him play calling to begin with was
- 22:37Speaker 3: so that he didn't take another head coaching job and
- 22:39Speaker 3: had to elevate Davis Webb. And there were some questions.
- 22:42Speaker 3: They go three and out almost immediately in that drive
- 22:44Speaker 3: that Collinsworth said he was coaching for his job. And
- 22:47Speaker 3: then from that point on, that Broncos offense started moving
- 22:51Speaker 3: where I think everybody thought that the Broncos were left
- 22:54Speaker 3: for dead when they're down 16 to this Rams team
- 22:57Speaker 3: at halftime. 30-26 win. You saw some life from that
- 23:01Speaker 3: offense at the end.
- 23:02Speaker 1: All right.
- 23:02Speaker 4: Mikey, I'll give you a winner because they lost.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Wow.
- 23:08Speaker 4: The New York Jets.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Hmm.
- 23:10Speaker 2: The New York Jets now own three top ten picks going.
- 23:15Speaker 4: Into the draft. That's crazy.
- 23:20Speaker 3: It is.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Because we're sitting here looking at the Jets going, hey,
- 23:23Speaker 2: they don't look that bad.
- 23:24Speaker 4: They don't look that bad. They're getting there.
- 23:27Speaker 2: They own three picks in the top ten because the
- 23:30Speaker 2: Packers keep losing. The Cowboys keep losing. The Colts actually
- 23:34Speaker 2: won a game. But, man, they don't look good. And
- 23:37Speaker 2: then the Jets are just competently losing.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Yes.
- 23:40Speaker 3: There's a world next draft. Close your eyes and imagine this.
- 23:44Speaker 1: All right.
- 23:45Speaker 3: Darren Mensah is on the Jets. Colin Simmons from Texas
- 23:50Speaker 3: is on the Jets. Jeremiah Smith is on the Jets.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Wow.
- 23:54Speaker 4: Special.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Man, that is three players we can ruin.
- 23:59Speaker 3: That's an impossible situation to ruin.
- 24:01Speaker 1: No, it's not. Not for the Jets. Nothing's impossible.
- 24:06Speaker 4: They've ruined more.
- 24:08Speaker 1: That's a perfect trifecta of careers that the Jets can ruin.
- 24:12Speaker 1: I am with Mikey A on this.
- 24:14Speaker 3: My first loser. You've never participated in winners and losers.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Well, I just have one winner. I have one loser.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Let's see if you guys get to him. If not,
- 24:24Speaker 1: I'll get to him at the end. Go ahead, Taylor.
- 24:26Speaker 3: My first loser, Cam Ward and the Tennessee Titans.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Makes sense.
- 24:33Speaker 3: That game was set up for the Titans to win,
- 24:35Speaker 3: where the Giants can only muster up field goals with
- 24:38Speaker 3: Jameis Winston at quarterback. They're up 12-0. The Titans cut
- 24:42Speaker 3: it to 12-7 with some big plays from Wondell Robinson.
- 24:45Speaker 3: And then they're driving and they're driving and they're driving.
- 24:48Speaker 3: And Cam Ward, you're looking at the stats, and he's
- 24:50Speaker 3: like 11 for 13 his last two drives. They get
- 24:53Speaker 3: inside the 10. Cam Ward for the win. Javon Holland
- 24:56Speaker 3: interception in the red zone. Cam Ward goes out like
- 24:59Speaker 3: a wet fart.
- 25:02Speaker 2: Have you heard Javon Holland's post-game interview talking about that interception?
- 25:07Speaker 2: I encourage anybody to go find it and listen to
- 25:10Speaker 2: it because.
- 25:10Speaker 4: It is amazing.
- 25:11Speaker 1: Well, what did he say? Can you give us an idea?
- 25:14Speaker 4: You know what? I couldn't give you– you just have
- 25:17Speaker 4: to listen to it. I couldn't give you an idea.
- 25:19Speaker 3: So, Mikey, I don't have that sound actually, but I
- 25:21Speaker 3: have this sound of Jameis Winston in the post-game. saying
- 25:24Speaker 3: that the 12 points they scored was in honor of
- 25:27Speaker 3: Jackson Dart, and you're going to be left even more
- 25:30Speaker 3: confused when he goes through this explanation.
- 25:31Speaker 1: I love him. There was no doubt on the sideline
- 25:36Speaker 1: that it was going to happen.
- 25:37Speaker 4: Obviously, we are Alberta's keeper winning this game for Jackson.
- 25:42Speaker 4: 12 points, six times two.
- 25:46Speaker 1: It's for you. That's 12.
- 25:48Speaker 4: I love it.
- 25:50Speaker 1: Six times two.
- 25:51Speaker 3: Six times... So I understand six is Jackson Dart. Yeah.
- 25:55Speaker 3: Why are we multiplying it by two just to get
- 25:58Speaker 3: to the 12?
- 25:58Speaker 1: Yes.
- 25:59Speaker 3: There's no other reason for the two, right? Like I
- 26:01Speaker 3: didn't miss something there.
- 26:02Speaker 1: No, Jackson Dart's number is six. He needed to make
- 26:07Speaker 1: it appear like they were winning this for Jackson Dart
- 26:09Speaker 1: and some variation of his number. So we went with 12.
- 26:14Speaker 1: What if they needed more points, though, like 13 or 14?
- 26:19Speaker 3: Six plus seven. It's 13. We scored the 7 at
- 26:24Speaker 3: the end of the game to get to 13.
- 26:26Speaker 1: He just needed to get to 6. What if they
- 26:28Speaker 1: got 3? 6 minus 3.
- 26:32Speaker 3: It was like, I heard that in the postgame, and
- 26:33Speaker 3: I was like, what the heck was that?
- 26:35Speaker 1: Strange dude. Mikey has a loser here. I'm trying to
- 26:41Speaker 1: think about what Jameis Winston did, what he said. I
- 26:43Speaker 1: don't think he wasn't responsible for any of their points.
- 26:48Speaker 1: And Cam Ward is always throwing for 188 yards.
- 26:52Speaker 2: But he had a really nice tackle on Cam Scadaboo
- 26:55Speaker 2: right on the goal line.
- 26:56Speaker 4: I don't know if you saw that. Yes.
- 26:58Speaker 2: He turned around to hand the ball to Cam Scadaboo.
- 27:01Speaker 2: He was supposed to go left. Cam was supposed to
- 27:03Speaker 2: go right. Don't know what happened.
- 27:04Speaker 4: But Scadaboo runs into him and immediately hits the ground.
- 27:08Speaker 4: Nice tackle, Jameis Winston.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Yes.
- 27:10Speaker 4: Cam Ward, 23 completions, 181 yards.
- 27:11Speaker 1: The Alex Smith is strong in him. Anyway, go ahead, Mikey. Loser.
- 27:18Speaker 4: My loser.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Sometimes you bet on yourself and it pays off. And
- 27:24Speaker 2: sometimes you're C.J.
- 27:25Speaker 4: Stroud. C.J. Stroud. Your defense finally somewhat shows up for you.
- 27:33Speaker 4: And you just pooped the bed when it mattered.
- 27:37Speaker 2: And the Houston Texans, a team many of us had
- 27:41Speaker 2: go into the Super Bowl or at least go to
- 27:42Speaker 2: the AFC Championship game. Right.
- 27:44Speaker 4: They are 0-3.
- 27:47Speaker 1: Yes.
- 27:47Speaker 4: C.J. Stroud, big loser.
- 27:50Speaker 1: They're done, as far as you're concerned? No shot?
- 27:54Speaker 4: No, because that's still not a good division.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Right. So they have a chance, right?
- 27:59Speaker 4: Yeah. By the way, C.J. Stroud, 16 of 27. Wow.
- 28:03Speaker 4: One touchdown.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Hmm. What happened to him?
- 28:08Speaker 3: It feels like they just haven't supported him in getting
- 28:11Speaker 3: the necessary pieces around him.
- 28:13Speaker 2: Right.
- 28:13Speaker 3: Yeah. The Texans' excuse the entire time is like, well, C.J.
- 28:17Speaker 3: Stroud is just going to make everybody better around him.
- 28:19Speaker 3: And it's like, no, that's not really how winning teams
- 28:21Speaker 3: kind of build around a franchise-level quarterback. Like the Bills
- 28:25Speaker 3: don't just say, oh, Josh Allen, go figure out how
- 28:28Speaker 3: to win this one for us.
- 28:29Speaker 1: Although it seems like they do. And it seems like
- 28:33Speaker 1: he does most weeks. All right, I have a winner
- 28:36Speaker 1: and a loser you guys didn't get to. My winner,
- 28:40Speaker 1: my winner, Miami Dolphins.
- 28:43Speaker 2: No.
- 28:44Speaker 4: Even in a loss. What?
- 28:45Speaker 3: No.
- 28:46Speaker 1: What do you mean no?
- 28:46Speaker 3: You lost HN.
- 28:47Speaker 4: I think you're doing this wrong.
- 28:48Speaker 1: You lost HN. That's all part of the tank, okay? No. No, no, no, no.
- 28:53Speaker 1: The Dolphins know they're not going to be good, okay?
- 28:56Speaker 1: Halfley's the coach. Malik Willis is the quarterback. They brought
- 28:59Speaker 1: in to tank the season, all right? And he's doing
- 29:02Speaker 1: a phenomenal job. They played the Chiefs a lot closer
- 29:04Speaker 1: than people expected, yet they still lost the game. So
- 29:07Speaker 1: they give the appearance that they're actually trying to win games,
- 29:11Speaker 1: while losing games, and they are marching for Arch. My big,
- 29:14Speaker 1: big loser. Patriots.
- 29:18Speaker 4: Losers.
- 29:19Speaker 1: That man, Drake May, who we watched play in the
- 29:21Speaker 1: Super Bowl not too long ago, has forgotten how to
- 29:24Speaker 1: play the position. He's my loser. They're my losers.
- 29:30Speaker 3: I just can't get on board with the Miami Dolphins
- 29:32Speaker 3: being winners today.
- 29:33Speaker 1: Why?
- 29:33Speaker 3: Because even if this rebuild.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Goes to plan. Loss is a win. I mean.
- 29:39Speaker 3: You're playing. next year can't be Devin Achan coming off
- 29:44Speaker 3: an ACL injury. I'm with you until the Devin Achan injury.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Right.
- 29:48Speaker 3: And that's where you kind of lose me on the
- 29:49Speaker 3: Dolphins being winners.
- 29:50Speaker 1: All right. I mean. But now they don't have to
- 29:52Speaker 1: keep it close anymore. They could just flatly lose and
- 29:54Speaker 1: lose by a lot. They don't have Achan anymore. I mean, Mikey,
- 29:57Speaker 1: how many years have we talked about wanting the Jets
- 30:00Speaker 1: to be bad? And be bad enough where you can
- 30:03Speaker 1: get the top pick in the NFL draft. And the
- 30:05Speaker 1: Dolphins appear to be headed in that direction. For a
- 30:08Speaker 1: bad organization, it's a win.
- 30:11Speaker 4: Yeah, but you want them to be bad, but you
- 30:13Speaker 4: don't want them to be injured bad. You don't want
- 30:15Speaker 4: them to be.
- 30:17Speaker 3: They're not.
- 30:18Speaker 4: Resting, H.A. There's nothing to look at that Dolphins roster
- 30:21Speaker 4: and go.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Save them, save them, yeah. I mean, yeah.
- 30:26Speaker 4: Listen, a little bit.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Less wear and tear on the body for HN. I'm
- 30:30Speaker 1: not even certain he tore anything. I just think they
- 30:32Speaker 1: want to sit him because they know. All right, you
- 30:36Speaker 1: guys are winning. I cannot believe you of all people,
- 30:40Speaker 1: who we have said for many, many years, Jets, that
- 30:43Speaker 1: is a bad win. When they win their ninth game
- 30:46Speaker 1: of the season, a meaningless game, Jets.
- 30:48Speaker 4: Bad win.
- 30:49Speaker 1: If you're going to lose, lose them all. Well, the
- 30:51Speaker 1: Dolphins are losing them all. And for me, that's a win.
